This thinking has positioned Democrats against the sweeping Republican tax cuts that have opened the economic flow of activity, against real DACA reform and against sweeping diplomatic efforts such as the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Put another way, they’re against peace and prosperity.
Now that’s a party platform that appeals to the masses! This past week, a large gathering of the political Left occurred in Washington, DC — the We the People Summit. The event can be best summarized by a quote made by one of the event’s moderators and president of Demos, a progressive Democrat policy organization: “We’re not just pulling the party to the left. We’re pulling the party into the future.”
The list of host sponsors, in addition to Demos, tells the story: Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Communications Workers of America, Center for Popular Democracy Action, MoveOn, People’s Action, 32BJ SEIU, Working Families Party, PICO National Network, Caring Across Generations Action Fund, National Domestic Workers Alliance, New York Communities for Change, Sierra Club and United We Dream Action.
It doesn’t take a political scientist or consultant to see the obvious: Democrats are moving further to the political left and, in their own words, working to “project a bold, transformative vision.” Anyone remember what happened for eight years the last time some smooth-talking politician promised an agenda rooted in “fundamentally transforming the United States of America”?
Interestingly, as the political Left demands more and more government control, intervention and, yes, socialism, the political Right has moved into a governing role that, while still motivated by principles, is not as ideologically driven as the days of the Tea Party’s beginnings almost a decade ago. But that’s another story.
Exactly what are these bold, transformative Democrats proposing?
At last Wednesday’s progressive pep rally, the main event revolved around the current pool of 2020 presidential hopefuls for the Democrats — U.S. Senators Elizabeth dinky-Warren (Massachusetts), scumbag-Cory Booker (New Jersey), commie-Bernie Sanders (Vermont), Kristen Gillibrand (New York) and Kamala Harris (California).
These politicians previewed issues that we should expect in the 2018 elections as well as the 2020 presidential cycle. Despite their passion, their platform was embarrassingly reflective of the mythical belief that government has its own money, can create jobs and is the institution that should, by default, replace all others that serve a civil society. Let’s start with Medicare for All.
Remember that Medicare, the health insurance program funded by payroll taxes, surtaxes and some premiums from beneficiaries, is available to those 65 years of age or older and a select few more. Democrats want a single-payer (government) health insurance program for all citizens, and likely noncitizens, of the U.S., operating as Medicare for All. Universal health care sounds great because it covers all care. It’s the price tag of reality, however, that should deter us. Not to mention the inherent loss of Liberty.
Never mind that the Social Security and Medicare Boards of Trustees released a report just two weeks ago that declared the health insurance program for seniors would be insolvent by 2026. That means Medicare’s debts and promised services will outnumber its funds in only eight years. But, to paraphrase Lady Margaret Thatcher, when you’re a socialist, you don’t have a problem until you run out of other people’s money. Medicare is almost there.
The “We the People” parade of progressive hogwash also featured the call for a “living wage,” with specifics offered that range from a $15/hour minimum wage to a universal wage for everyone to eliminate economic inequities. Let’s ask Seattle how its business head tax, ostensibly aimed to generate $48 million to address homelessness and housing costs, worked out. It’s exactly the same premise. Mandating that a business pay some type of universal wage is a tax on jobs.
On immigration, the wannabe Democrat standard-bearers boast of the humanity that only they possess with their view that an open-border policy is the answer. They insist the “rights” of illegals are in jeopardy as long as racist Republicans enforce immigration laws and the notion of sovereignty within our own country. Yet the truth is, Democrats stand with the “animals” of MS-13 — perpetrators of heinous crimes — against the citizens of our nation. They keep moving further to the left.
Other foundational topics addressed last week included the leftist sacrament of unrestricted abortion, the rights of the gender confused, “free” college tuition for all and the need to cut our military to make way for more welfare spending.
But the event and the upcoming elections can be easily summarized: Democrats hope to ride a Blue Wave by offering “Better Deal” socialism that fails every time it’s tried. And yet they accuse Republicans of moving to the right. ~The Patriot Post

Actually, that sounds an awful lot like the liar-Clinton Foundation. More on that in a minute.
On a day when Trump touted the IG report as supporting his assertion of deep-state corruption within the DOJ and FBI, he was forced to pivot and address the lawsuit. Trump accused the plaintiffs of nothing more than a political stunt, saying, “The sleazy New York Democrats, and their now disgraced (and run out of town) A.G. Eric Schneiderman, are doing everything they can to sue me on a foundation that took in $18,800,000 and gave out to charity more money than it took in, $19,200,000. I won’t settle this case!” He then added, “Schneiderman, who ran the liar-Clinton campaign in New York, never had the guts to bring this ridiculous case, which lingered in their office for almost 2 years. Now he resigned his office in disgrace, and his disciples brought it when we would not settle.”
Back to the liar-Clintons. They might have been what liar- Hillary insisted was “dead broke” when they left the White House, but they quickly parlayed their political fame into cash, charging prime rates for speaking engagements around the world. As Mark Alexander noted in 2016, “Once liar-Hillary Clinton was tapped by liar-nObama as secretary of state (to keep her out of the 2012 election), restricting her exorbitant pay-to-play speaking fees, she ramped up the liar-Clinton Foundation’s pay-to-play schemes and liar-CF became an official conduit for those seeking to influence politics and policy.”
In fact, Alexander added, “Indisputably, every dime of the billions of dollars "donated” to liar-CF by liar-Hillary’s wealthy Wall Street moguls and foreign government cutouts, some of whom she personally met with during her tenure as secretary, and the dollars coming [once she became] a presidential contender, includes a long quid pro quo list. And not a dime of that graft has been spent without calculating how it would advance the liar-Clintons’ statist political and social agenda.“
In light of the long list of abuses of the liar-Clinton Foundation, and the lack of any serious action against that criminal enterprise, the lawsuit against Trump’s foundation is clearly nothing more than leftist resistance to the president. It’s a legal annoyance, albeit more fodder for the Leftmedia to churn. ~The Patriot Post

Time to Get Tough With Turkey
Granted, good guys in the Middle East are hard to come by. But Erdogan is not even one of the not-so-bad ones. When the F-35 program started, Turkey was a loyal friend, even if it caused drama with NATO ally Greece. But under Erdogan, that has changed.
Erdogan’s regime has imprisoned an American pastor, Andrew Brunson. Erdogan needs to be told that his immediate release and safe return to the United States is non-negotiable. If Brunson is not released by the time the defense policy bill is ready for conference committee, Turkey is not getting any F-35s, and any airframes they are currently slated to receive will go to Israel.
Erdogan’s support of Hamas also needs to end. International relations often come in shades of gray, but Israel’s fight for survival against the terrorist group Hamas (whose charter calls for Israel’s destruction) is not one of those gray areas. Erdogan can be Hamas’s friend or he can buy F-35s. Not both.
Turkey’s purchase of the Russian S-400 is causing a stir. This, though, is something that Turkey can use to demonstrate it is a friend of the United States. To wit, deploy one battery to Nellis Air Force base where it can be evaluated thoroughly in Red Flag exercises. After all, Turkey should be glad to help NATO allies evaluate this system, especially since NATO could very well face off against it should Russia attack the Baltic states. If Turkey doesn’t, then it doesn’t really need F-35s.
Turkey was a friend of the United States prior to Erdogan’s regime taking hold. Erdogan’s really undermined the relationship, though, and it’s a good time for President Donald Trump to stand up for America and Israel. Turkey’s first F-35, to be delivered on June 21, goes to Luke Air Force Base, where it will be used for training.
Ideally, Turkey would have until the defense policy bill is on President Trump’s desk to shape up. If Erdogan fails to do so, the 116 F-35s Turkey wants to buy go to Israel, which boosts a real ally in the Middle East. But as things stand right now, giving the latest fighter technology to the Erdogan regime would be the wrong move.

Dems Exploit Children of Illegals for Political Fodder
First and foremost, the Trump administration has not changed any rules that govern the nation’s immigration and border enforcement. As Rich Lowry of National Review explains, “Separation happens only if officials find that the adult is falsely claiming to be the child’s parent, or is a threat to the child, or is put into criminal proceedings.”
The Trump administration’s zero-tolerance policy is simply a change from Barack liar-nObama’s policy of limited enforcement in which his administration deliberately avoided enforcing the nation’s immigration laws consistently.
What has caused all the commotion over separating children from their illegal alien parents is something called the Flores Consent Decree, which mandates that children can be held by the government for no longer than 20 days. This law has been effectively exploited by illegal aliens, who, after crossing illegally, request asylum, a process often exceeding the short window of 20 days. Paul Mirengoff of Power Line notes, “Since asylum petitions take more than 20 days to process, the government must either release the adults and children together into the country pending the adjudication of the asylum claim or hold the adults and release the children, thereby separating them. If the adult illegal immigrant is released while the claim is pending, it’s extremely unlikely that the government will find him or her again. Thus, releasing the adult is tantamount to allowing the illegal immigrant to live in the U.S. regardless of the merits of the case.” That explains why Democrats want to keep the racket going. Worse, their “sanctuary cities” serve as beacons attracting even more illegals.
A clear first step to end the issue of separating families would be the elimination of the Flores Consent Decree. But aside from all the absurd over-the-top emotional criticism of the practice of separating children from adults who have illegally crossed the border, the fact of the matter is that separating children from their parents is not at all unusual law-enforcement policy even for U.S. citizens. In 2016, more than 21,000 children were separated from their parents and placed into foster care after their parents had been incarcerated. Where are all the emotional calls to end the practice of separating children from their criminal parents? Should the children live with their parents in prison? Obviously the question is absurd on its face, so why isn’t the reaction the same with regard to those who break our nation’s laws by entering the country illegally? There are legal means by which families can seek asylum within the U.S., and parents who do so are not separated from their children.
By the way, Trump has repeatedly called on Congress to come up with solutions to the illegal immigration problem, including funding for the construction of a border wall. But Democrats now oppose what they once supported.
This issue boils down to Democrats and the Leftmedia claiming to take the moral high ground while at the same time attacking the very laws that enable a nation to secure its borders. Noncitizens do not have a right to enter the U.S. Trump’s enforcement of the law is what every American should desire, and if a majority want the law changed, then they can lobby Congress to make that change. Don’t fault Trump for doing his job. Unfortunately, Democrats seeing nothing but an opportunity to exploit emotions for votes. ~The Patriot Post

On election night I celebrated his victory. If he actually did half the things he said he would, I knew America would be much better off. At about 9:30 pm, I flipped around to NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC and enjoyed the extreme distress on the faces of their talking heads as they realized Trump would actually win. I savored schadenfreude for the rest of the evening and all through the next day.
It seems like a day doesn’t go by without some female high school teacher getting arrested for having sexual relations with an underage student. The story line is always the same. Ms. Hotpants either gets caught in the act or because her student paramour shares with the world the naked selfies that for some weird reason she just had to send to his cell phone. Invariably the teacher is quickly and unceremoniously condemned, fired from her job and arrested. To illustrate this point, let me apply the OIG’s reserved and non-judgmental standards to the hypothetical case of Teacher 1 and Student A who have been caught naked in a car parked behind the local Piggly Wiggly. Herewith is an excerpt from the hypothetical report by the Pleasant Valley School District’s Office of Inspector General:We asked Teacher 1 why she and Student A had been in her car at Midnight. She replied that he had been doing poorly in her class, and she was tutoring him. We acknowledge that such additional instruction would be a valid and proper pedagogical undertaking. Nevertheless, we asked why they were not wearing clothes. She explained that they had become hot and sweaty, and she believed that it was important that teacher and student should eliminate physical discomforts to maximize the learning experience. We asked why they had an open bottle of vodka and a box of condoms. She explained that these items had been left in the car by her husband. Since her spouse is not an employee of the school district, we were unable to question him regarding this matter. While we found Teacher 1’s answers to be unpersuasive, she made no direct declaration as to why she had engaged in this drunken, naked and nocturnal meeting with Student A. Consequently, we have no definitive proof that she was motivated by a desire to engage in sexual relations. Therefore, we make no finding regarding her motive or intent.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
While the first part of the 1st Amendment is the stuff of another article altogether, it is the second part of it that I want to deal with today…the part regarding our right to freedom of speech…one of the premier foundation stones of this Constitutional Republic.
You will notice that the language fails to put upon that right any stipulations, although certain stipulations have been placed on it by the Supreme Court over the years…

{ clarionproject.org } ~ Seeing as it went so well with Kim in Singapore, on the way back to America on Air Force One, President Trump’s chief of staff proposes a spur of the moment detour to Tehran.
John Kelly: You know, POTUS, we could make this deal an even bigger win.
The Donald: You got me listening…you know how I love winning.
JK: If we can get a dictator like Kim to agree to give up his nukes, why not try with the Ayatollah? He must be in a revolutionary panic with Kim on our side now! Plus the Russians just said they want him out of Syria, and you know what that means when Putin says “want.” No choice there. Seems to me, we’re in a good position to “negotiate” with Tehran, if you get what I mean.
The Donald: I got it. I’m not stupid, I went to an Ivy League school. It’s on the way home, anyway.
Meanwhile in Tehran …
The Supreme Leader (SL) Ali Khamenei and his trusted sidekick Prez Hassan Rouhani confer about Trump’s recent tete-a-tete with Kim:
Hassan: And we thought Kim was our BFF!
SL: So much for that last “F”! Do you think he sold out to The Donald?
Hassan: Hard to know. Could be a ploy. But if it’s not, we’ve got major trouble on our hands. Who are we going to run our nukes through if he did?
SL: Exactly. And he’s not the only one bailing out on us. The Russians just gave the green light to those cursed Israelis. When the Zionists are done with us, we won’t have any toys to play with in Syria. That last hit from them really hurt.
Hassan: What a load of thanks from Vlad after we helped him secure Syria and those bases he’s got there now. He must have cut a deal with the Americans. And we know who’s really running their show.
SL and Hassan at the same time: THE JEWS!
Hassan: And what’s with Bashar? To think he’d rather have protection from the Russians than us! Did you see that Syrian rat is heading off for a “visit” in Pyongyang. What if he sells us out as well?
SL: That’s why I’ve come up with Plan B to throw off the Americans.
Hassan: Pray tell, Ali! Urrr…I mean, what did you have in mind your excellency?
SL: Have you checked out my Twitter feed lately? I’ve got this. No more talk of pushing the Jews into the sea. Check out my latest tweets:
Hassan (pouting): I thought I was the one who was supposed to look like a moderate! You know, I’m the good cop, you’re the bad cop. Now you want to play good cop, too?
SL: I’m the Supreme Leader! What is it you don’t get about “Supreme”? I can play anything I want!
Hassan: Right sir. So about the plan…
SL’s trusted aide General Ali Jaffari interrupts:
AJ: Sir, we’ve just received a communique from the Americans! They’re headed this way and want to meet! What should I tell them?
SL (smiling): Tell them we’re ready for them.
{ townhall.com } ~ President Donald Trump appears to belong to what might be called the Benjamin Disraeli school of diplomacy.
The British prime minister once counseled, "Everyone likes flattery; and when you come to Royalty you should lay it on with a trowel."
At his Singapore summit, Trump smartly saluted a North Korean general and then lavished praise on Kim Jong Un as a "strong guy" with a "good personality" and a "great negotiator." "He's funny, and ... very, very smart ... and a very strategic kind of a guy. ... His country does love him."
Predictably, Trump is being scourged for this.
Yet, during his trip to Peking in 1972, Richard Nixon did not confront Chairman Mao on his history of massacres and murder, though Nixon's visit came in the midst of Mao's Cultural Revolution, a nationwide pogrom.
Nor did Churchill or FDR at their wartime summits confront their ally Stalin for his legendary crimes against humanity. Both gushed over "Uncle Joe."
Still, if the Trump-Kim camaraderie goes south and the crisis of 2017, when war seemed possible, returns, Trump, as he concedes, will be charged with naivety for having placed his trust in such a tyrant.
Yet, to Trump's credit, we are surely at a better place than we were a year ago when Kim was testing hydrogen bombs and ICBMs, and he and Trump were trading threats and insults in what seemed the prelude to a new Korean War.
Whatever one may think of his diplomacy, Trump has, for now, lifted the specter of nuclear war from the Korean peninsula and begun a negotiating process that could lead to tolerable coexistence.
The central questions to emerge from the summit are these: What does Kim want, and what is he willing to pay for it?
Transparently, he does not want a war with the United States. That black cloud has passed over. Second, Kim and North Korea have emerged from their isolation in as dramatic a fashion as did Mao's China in 1972.
In 2018, the North was invited to the Seoul Olympics. Kim met twice with South Korea's president and twice with China's Xi Jinping. Vladimir Putin's foreign minister stopped by. And Kim had a face-to-face summit with a U.S. president, something his grandfather and father never came close to achieving.
It is unlikely Kim will be retreating back into the cloisters of the Hermit Kingdom after being courted by the world's foremost powers.
What does Trump have on offer to induce Kim to end the lifetime of hostility? It is a long menu of what Kim can expect if he will surrender his nuclear weapons and dismantle the factories and facilities that produce them.
Among the benefits proffered: recognition of his dynasty and U.S. security guarantees, an end of sanctions, foreign investment, a peace treaty signed by the United States to replace the 65-year-old armistice and the eventual withdrawal of U.S. forces from the Korean peninsula.
Trump has already attended to one of Kim's complaints. The joint military exercises we have conducted annually with South Korea for decades have been declared by Trump to be "war games" and "very provocative" and have been suspended.
What is being asked of Kim in return?
He must provide an inventory of all nuclear weapons and where they are hidden, surrender them all, dismantle his plutonium and uranium production plants, and shut down his testing sites, all under the watch of U.S.-approved inspectors.
He must renounce any and all nuclear weapons forever, and accept a regime of international inspections that would guarantee he never cheats on that commitment.
Here is where the crunch comes. Kim is being told that he must give up the weapons whose very possession by him are the reason why the world powers are paying him heed.
As leader of a country with a per capita income smaller than Haiti's, Kim is being told he must surrender the weapons that placed him and North Korea in the world's most exclusive club, to which only eight other nations belong: the U.S., Russia, China, Britain, France, India, Pakistan and Israel.
Will Kim, whose nuclear weapons have enabled him to strut on the world stage and trade insults with the president of the United States, give them up to become the leader of a poor backward nation, with half the population of South Korea and not even 4 percent of the economy of the South?
Will he give up his most reliable deterrent against an attack by the United States or China?
In the Kim-Trump relationship, this is where the rubber meets the road. Kim has seen how Americans treat nations -- like Gadhafi's Libya, Saddam's Iraq, and Iran -- that decline to develop or surrender the kind of weapons his country took decades to plan, test, produce and deploy.
Should Kim give up his nukes, what U.S. president would fly halfway around the world to meet him one-to-one?
Hence the crucial question: Will he ever really give them up?
{ townhall.com } ~ I have often thought that tributes to those we love are best made when the object of our affection is still with us, rather than at their funerals.
I do not know Charles Krauthammer well, though we would occasionally see each other at Fox News when I worked there and at Washington Nationals baseball games.
Others have commented on his brilliance, his dry wit and his skill at deconstructing arguments made by his political opposites. On "Special Report with Bret Baier," a Fox News program on which he regularly appeared, his fellow panel members would sometimes sit in stunned silence following an argument he had made that seemed to them irrefutable.
Krauthammer had come a long way from his days as a speechwriter for Walter Mondale to political positions directly opposite those of his former boss. In this he was like Ronald Reagan, who also had studied and experienced the weakness of liberal domestic and foreign policies and found the conservative point of view a better path to solving problems.
What I have found most amazing about Charles is that despite an accident in his youth that left him paralyzed, he never complained, at least in my presence, and there is no public record of his having done so. Neither did he accept or embrace pity. He scooted around in his powered wheelchair and into and out of a van especially configured for him.
While he was unable to exercise his limbs, he exercised his mind to the great benefit of all those who have read his syndicated column and watched him on TV. He spoke slowly, partly from physical necessity, but also because it helped him make his points and demand a hearing. In the rapid-fire speech characteristic of cable TV, one was more likely to remember what Krauthammer said.
So much of our political discourse today sounds like regurgitated sound bites put out by the White House and the Democratic National Committee. Few speak of solutions with the historical knowledge and deep understanding that Charles possesses.
Like Reagan's final letter to the American people in which he announced he had Alzheimer's, but concluded on an optimistic note about the future of America, Charles wrote in his final column that he is grateful for the life he led. How many able-bodied people can say that? One might not expect such a sentiment from a man who has experienced the most extreme personal challenges, the last being cancer, which has taken over his body.
Charles Krauthammer has been an inspiration to me in many ways beyond his considerable talent. He has demonstrated that even if life seems to deal you a bad hand the game doesn't have to be over. Blind people are known to have enhanced abilities in other areas, such as hearing and touch. Charles overcame weakness in one area with superior strength in another.
When he announced recently that doctors told him he had just weeks to live, I thought of Frank Sinatra's song, "My Way." It is a fitting epitaph on a remarkable and consequential life.
"And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend I'll say it clear
I'll state my case of which I'm certain.
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way."
God bless you, Charles.

by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano
{ jewishworldreview.com } ~ Amid all the happy hoopla over President Donald Trump's trip to Singapore, where he began the process for what he hopes will be the normalization of relations between the United States and North Korea and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, has come an effort by the House Intelligence Committee to interfere with the criminal investigation of the president.
The committee's chairman, Devin Nunes, a Republican from California, and the Republican majority on the committee have demanded that the Department of Justice turn over documents pertaining to the origins of the investigation of President Trump by special counsel Robert Mueller.
And Nunes has threatened Mueller's superior, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, with censure, contempt and even impeachment if he fails to comply. Can Congress interfere in an ongoing federal criminal investigation? Can it get its eyes on law enforcement's active files? In a word: No.
Here is the back story.
In the pre-9/11 era, when the FBI and the DOJ devoted their work primarily to investigating criminal activity, they both answered not only to the president but also to the House and Senate Judiciary committees. This long-standing relationship came about by way of a check on the exercise of prosecutorial power by the DOJ and the FBI.
These congressional committees approve the budget for law enforcement, the argument went, and as watchdogs, so to speak, they are entitled to know how the taxpayers' money — and money borrowed in the taxpayers' name — is being spent.
The relationship between the congressional committees on one hand and federal law enforcement on the other has been a give-and-take, push-me-pull-you relationship that generally led to compromise between Congress and federal law enforcement.
After 9/11, Congress passed the Patriot Act, which, in addition to authorizing FBI agents to write their own search warrants for all sorts of custodians of records — legal, medical, postal and banking enterprises, supermarkets, and libraries, to name a few — gave the FBI a domestic intelligence mission not unlike that of the National Security Agency, which is America's domestic spying apparatus.
The intelligence mission enabled the FBI to utilize new tools for law enforcement, under the guise of intelligence gathering. Stated differently, by pretending to be looking for spies, the FBI found crooks. Because the legal threshold for spying for intelligence purposes is far lower than the legal threshold for obtaining a traditional search warrant, FBI agents often took the easier route.
But the FBI's spying mission also subjected it to the scrutiny of two additional congressional committees, one in the House and one in the Senate. This cross-pollination of law enforcement and intelligence gathering — this mixture of two distinct roles, one traditional for the FBI and the other novel to it, one clearly regulated by the Constitution and the other purporting to be outside of it — tempted not only FBI agents to use the tools of spy-craft for law enforcement (even though it's prohibited by the Fourth Amendment) but also Congress.
Now back to Rep. Nunes and the House Intelligence Committee.
The Republicans on that committee are determined to use their regulatory powers over federal intelligence gathering to investigate federal law enforcement. They are doing this because they claim to smell a rat in the origins of the special counsel investigation and they want to get to the bottom of it. In order to get to the bottom of it, they have demanded to see documents in the custody of special counsel Mueller to determine whether there was sufficient probable cause to commence the criminal investigation of Trump back in November 2016.
But it is not the role of Congress to do this in the midst of a criminal investigation, and it is not the role of a congressional intelligence committee to scrutinize law enforcement.
There are two dangers to the rule of law here. The first is that members of this committee could use their security clearances to examine classified materials and then use what they have seen for a political narrative. They cannot lawfully, except on the floor of Congress, publicly reveal classified documents they have seen, but they can (and they have done so in the past) summarize them publicly — and with a political spin.
That endangers the sources of criminal investigators, many of whom are people who communicate with investigators at great personal risk and to whom confidentiality has been promised. That confidentiality is recognized in the law as the informant's privilege, and it keeps confidential criminal matters from public and peering congressional eyes until the investigation is concluded.
The second and equally harmful danger is that members of the committee could leak what they have seen. To prevent this, prosecutors have a privilege to keep their files secret until they charge or exonerate their targets or subjects.
Under the Constitution, we enjoy the separation of powers. Congress writes the laws; the executive branch enforces them; and the courts interpret them. Congress can no more constitutionally interfere with ongoing law enforcement for political purposes than the DOJ can interfere with the passage of congressional legislation that it doesn't like.
The down and dirty fear that the DOJ and the FBI have is that revealing the contents of the criminal file on the president to his political allies in Congress in the midst of an investigation of him would be a dangerous precedent, one that would pollute the investigation and give present and future politically powerful potential defendants advantages that no one else has.
That disparate treatment of the president as defendant strikes at the heart of the rule of law. And the rule of law is what protects us from politicians who can't restrain themselves from violating their oath to uphold the Constitution.

The following recent thought-provoking article revealed that the anticipated Justice Department inspector general’s report probing how the FBI handled the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server was released on Thursday afternoon, June 14, 2018, and that leaks of what was said to be included in the report allegedly began shortly that afternoon, at which time Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was reported by Fox News to be briefing President Trump on its contents.
It also revealed that the report was 568 pages and that some analysts stated that it contained little new information, while others seized upon its focus on former FBI Director James Comey as having engaged in insubordination toward his superiors when he gave a solo press conference in July 2016 exonerating Clinton from a criminal referral to the Justice Department, but the report found “no evidence” that career Justice Department prosecutors investigating the Clinton case “were affected by bias?”-You Decide:

Consumer Confidence Soars
Economist Robert Frick of the Navy Federal Credit Union observed, “We may be entering a new level of consumer spending right now.” Does this signal an end to the Barack liar-nObama-era “new normal” of sub 2% growth rates? J.P. Morgan seems to think so, as it recently upped its economic outlook for growth to 4%. James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute further explained:
All welcome news for an economy that’s been stuck around 2% since the Great Recession and Global Financial Crisis. Indeed, there hasn’t been a full year of 3% growth since 2005. Or look at it this way: There were 18 “hypergrowth” quarters of 4% growth or faster in the 1980s (1980–89) and 17 in the 1990s (1990–99), but just nine so far in the 2000s and 2010s combined.
What is clear is that Americans all across the nation are feeling the positive impact of the Republican tax cuts and President Donald Trump’s deregulation crusade. Consumers have responded and are confident about the direction of the economy. Democrats, eat your hearts out. ~The Patriot Post

{ answeringmuslims.com } ~ In this video, my friend Pastor Sule Prince and I examine questions about the Qur'an and the portrait of Jesus in Islam... Is the Jesus of Islam the same as the historical Jesus presented in the New Testament? The name 'Jesus' is used in many different ways by different groups. While many use the name 'Jesus' it becomes quickly apparent that the identity of that Jesus differs markedly from the Jesus presented in the New Testament. The Apostle Paul warned in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. The next time you meet someone who says they believe in 'Jesus,' ask them which Jesus are you referring to? This is a crucial issue. If you have the wrong Jesus, you do not have salvation. IG Horowitz, an liar-nObama appointee, released his final report on the investigation of liar-Clinton’s effort to unlawfully conceal her official communications from the public record when she was secretary of state. (You can read the executive summary and full reportif you have a lot of spare time on your hands.)
liar-Clinton undertook what then-FBI Director James Comey described as a “grossly negligent” communication subterfuge to protect her 2016 presidential aspirations from any scrutiny regarding the criminal context of those communications. Of course, her insecure closet email server was hacked by foreign entities, including classified information.
liar-Clinton violated federal records laws, as she and her key personnel transmitted classified information through unclassified channels and, when caught, destroyed evidence, including taking hammers to cell phones and erasing computer hard drives. Comey helped by agreeing to destroy laptops of former liar-Clinton Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson once their interviews were complete.
All the while, liar-nObama was receiving detailed updates of the liar-Clinton probe and undoubtedly providing her some helpful “feedback.” Recall that in 2014, 47 of the nation’s 73 inspectors general signed a letter of complaint accusing liar-nObama of stonewalling their mission “to conduct our work thoroughly, independently, and in a timely manner.”
For context, the origins of the Trump investigation are rooted in an endeavor to entrap him. That corrupt effort was orchestrated by liar-nObama’s CIA director, John Brennan and liar-nObama’s FBI director, James Comey (and his high-ranking co-conspirators), in collaboration with their candidate, liar-Hillary Clinton and her corrupt campaign. This cadre of liar-nObama’s deep-state operatives has endeavored to frame Trump for “colluding with Russia” to throw the 2016 election, or to at least create the false impression that his election was illegitimate.
The fate of that investigation, and possibly Trump’s presidency, has for a year been in the hands of Comey’s FBI predecessor, special prosecutor Robert Mueller, and his team of “hard-core Democrats.”
So, what did we learn from IG Horowitz about Comey and his corrupt liar-Clintonistas?
According to The Washington Post, “The report is a blistering rebuke of Comey, who has spent recent months on a book tour promoting his brand of ethical leadership.”
The report derides Comey for “deviating from procedure” in the liar-Clinton email investigation, straying “dramatically from FBI and department norms,” making “serious errors of judgment” and being “insubordinate” to his superiors. It chides his decision to close, reopen and close again the liar-Clinton investigation.
The IG notes a “troubling lack of any direct, substantive communication” between Comey and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch, whose own liar-Clinton bias became apparent after her secret meeting with liar-Bill Clinton was exposed. Notably, that exposure positioned Comey to take assume direct control of the liar-Clinton investigation and the effort to stump Trump.
As I wrote in “Comey’s Layup for liar-Clinton,” when he announced his re-opening of the liar-Clinton investigation just before the election, but after absentee balloting, he did so in order to reaffirm his clearance of any wrongdoing by liar-Clinton, which was, by design, to encourage liar-Clinton’s voter constituency.
But the timing of that controversial second review was not Comey’s choice, as he was content that he had already exonerated liar-Clinton.
In September 2016, in an unrelated investigation involving disgraced former New York Demo Rep. Anthony Weiner, federal investigators discovered almost 300,000 ofliar-Clinton’s off-grid emails and Blackberry messages on his laptop – stashed there by her most senior aide, Huma Abedin, Weiner’s spouse. That is 10-times the number of communications liar-Clinton turned over for FBI review. Realizing what they had, the investigators reported their finding to the FBI, but there was no action on the discovery until repeated complaints by agents in the New York office.
The FBI case agent assigned to the Weiner investigation told the IG: “I’m a little scared here. I don’t know what to do because I’m not political. Like I don’t care who wins this election, but this is going to make us look really, really horrible. And it could ruin this case, too. And…I said the thing that also bothers me is that Comey’s testimony is inaccurate.”
That rat you smell is called “obstruction of justice,” both by liar-Clinton and Abedin, and the senior FBI personnel who were stonewalling any review of the rest of newly-discovered communications – including Comey. He claims to have heard about the additional discovery, but did not know that Abedin was vice chair of liar-Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. He must have been the only person in the western hemisphere who, in light of the high profile investigation of Weiner, did not make this connection.
Comey’s claim of ignorance is either a bold-faced lie, or an indication of profound ineptitude. Comey is a lot of things, but he is not inept.
Further, according to the report, “While we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comey’s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice.”
Really? No “political bias”? Actually, the report is full of instances of pervasive deep-state bias by a handful of FBI officials controlling the liar-Clinton investigation, but no “smoking gun” was discovered, where somebody is on record declaring, “I am going to take these specific actions to support liar-Clinton and sabotage Trump’s campaign.” These FBI managers were much to clever for that.
Recall, however, that Comey himself, in his congressional testimony, made clear his political bias toward liar-Clinton. According to Comey: “My wife and girls marched in the Women’s March the day after Trump’s inauguration. My four daughters, probably all five of my kids, wanted liar-Hillary Clinton to be president. I know my amazing spouse did.”
And he also revealed that he lied about leaking the fake Trump dossier to the media to set the Trump/Russia collusion trap. “Look, it’s true. … I gave an unclassified memo to my friend and asked him to give it to a reporter. That is entirely appropriate.” Only in Comey’s deluded mind was that “entirely appropriate.”
As for the conclusion that Comey’s “decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice,” that is a candidate for understatement of the year!
Notably, Donald Trump cited Comey’s handling of the liar-Clinton investigation as a primary reason he fired Comey. That is now looking more credible than ever.
In his response to the IG report, current FBI Director Christopher Wray said, “Let’s be clear on the scope of this report. It’s focused on a specific set of events back in 2016, and a small number of FBI employees connected with those events. Nothing in the report impugns the integrity of our workforce as a whole, or the FBI as an institution.” On this point, he is correct.
However, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy, responding to Wray, declared, “The consequences are that your fellow citizens question whether or not they can have confidence in the world’s premier law enforcement agency, and that’s coming from someone who has defended them a lot throughout his career. This was a bitterly disappointing report.”
Unfortunately, rank-and-file FBI line agents and investigators, the vast majority of whom honorably abide by their oaths “to support and defend” our Constitution, now have the corrupt mud of Comey and a few of his key investigators dumped on their integrity. And an interesting note in the report — most of the agents interviewed in the IG investigation believed they would have been prosecuted for the actions of their superiors.
For his part regarding the clearing of liar-Clinton twice ahead of the election, Comey told IG investigators, “I could see two doors and they were both actions. One was labeled ‘speak’ and the other was labeled ‘conceal.’” But Horowitz skewered Comey, insisting that was a “false dichotomy,” noting, “The two doors were actually labeled ‘follow policy/practice’ and ‘depart from policy/practice.’”
Comey responded to the report in his now apparent chemically induced calm: “I do not agree with all of the inspector general’s conclusions, but I respect the work of his office and salute its professionalism.” Not a hint of any apology or admission of wrongdoing on his part — which might hurt his book sales.
So what did we learn from Horowitz about the bias of Comey’s top investigators?
According to the report, “We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative actions we reviewed. [But] the conduct by these employees cast a cloud over the entire FBI investigation. … The suggestion in certain Russia-related text messages in August 2016 that Strzok might be willing to take official action to impact presidential candidate Trump’s electoral prospects caused us to question the earlier Midyear investigative decisions in which Strzok was involved, and whether he took specific actions in the Midyear investigation based on his political views.”
This is a reference to the common denominator in the liar-Clinton email and Trump dossier investigations, Peter Strzok. He was Comey’s lead investigator in the liar-Clinton email investigation and helped Comey write up his exoneration of liar-Clinton before her softball FBI interview. The original draft noted that “classified information was compromised by unauthorized individuals to include foreign governments or intelligence services via cyber intrusion,” but Strzok and Comey removed that condemnation from their report.
After Trump’s surprise election, Strzok was then positioned by Comey as a top investigator for Robert Mueller’s investigation — until his abject bias was discovered and he was removed.
Both Strzok and and his workplace dalliance, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, reported to corrupt former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Recall that McCabe’s wife received $675,288 from Democrat PACs.
The report notes, “When one senior FBI official, [Peter] Strzok, who was helping to lead the Russia investigation at the time, conveys in a text message to another senior FBI official, [Lisa] Page, that ‘we’ll stop’ candidate Trump from being elected — after other extensive text messages between the two disparaging candidate Trump — it is not only indicative of a biased state of mind but, even more seriously, implies a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate’s electoral prospects. This is antithetical to the core values of the FBI and the Department of Justice.” What did Strzok do that the IG found so egregious?
As WaPo summarized it, “Some senior bureau officials, the report found, exhibited a disturbing ‘willingness to take official action’ to hurt Trump’s chances to become president.”
In August 2016, Strzok assured Page, “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in [McCabe’s] office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40…”
In previously redacted messages between Strzok and Page, Page wrote, “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!” Strzok responded, “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.” Again, “It’s like an insurance policy…” and “We’ll stop it.”
National Review’s David French inquires, “Is there a remotely good explanation as to why the ‘We’ll stop it’ text was apparently withheld from congressional investigators? What is the conceivable excuse that the IG had it but Congress didn’t?”
According to the report: “When asked about this text message, Strzok stated that he did not specifically recall sending it, but that he believed that it was intended to reassure Page that Trump would not be elected, not to suggest that he would do something to impact the investigation. Strzok told the OIG that he did not take any steps to try to affect the outcome of the presidential election, in either the Midyear investigation or the Russia investigation. Strzok stated that had he — or the FBI in general — actually wanted to prevent Trump from being elected, they would not have maintained the confidentiality of the investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and members of the Trump campaign in the months before the election.”
The IG concludes, “Our review did not find evidence to connect the political views expressed in these messages to the specific investigative decisions that we reviewed.” But as noted above, there is no smoking gun here — just an avalanche of circumstantial evidence. Strzok certainly was smart enough to avoid clear self-incrimination.
Of course, the prevailing assumption was that Clinton would be the victor. In fact, in July of 2016, some of the FBI interviewers refer to liar-Clinton as “The President.”
Once Trump was elected, Comey did leak his memos on the investigation to the press, and by his own admission he did so in order to hamstring Trump’s presidency with a special counsel. Comey testified, “I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter. … I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.” Worked like a charm!
In Gowdy’s reply to the IG report, he wrote: “I am alarmed, angered, and deeply disappointed by the Inspector General’s finding of numerous failures by DOJ and FBI in investigating potential Espionage Act violations by former Secretary of State liar-Hillary Clinton. This is not the FBI I know. This is not the FBI our country needs. This is not the FBI citizens and suspects alike deserve.”
Gowdy concluded: “The report also conclusively shows an alarming and destructive level of animus [against Donald Trump] displayed by top officials at the FBI. Peter Strzok’s manifest bias trending toward animus casts a pall on this investigation. Bias is so pernicious and malignant as to both taint the process, the result, and the ability to have confidence in either. His bias was so persuasive and toxic as to call into question any other investigations he was part of, including his role in the investigation of what Russia did in 2016. His bias impacted his decisions making and he assigned to himself the role of stopping the Trump campaign or ending a Trump Presidency.”
“Alarming and destructive,” indeed. Stay tuned… ~The Patriot Post

{ conservativeinstitute.org } ~ It goes without saying that Democrats would view President Trump’s North Korean negotiations quite differently than Republicans, but I was honestly surprised by the strong negative reaction of Trump critics on the right.
Don’t get me wrong; some Trump critics on the right reflexively oppose everything he does or says, but my gut reaction when first learning of the summit was that even they would grudgingly acknowledge this as a positive development.
But their reaction was viscerally negative, harsh, cynical, pessimistic and absolute. Either I overestimated their capacity for some fairness concerning Trump or I am radically wrong in how I interpret the summit results.
I have witnessed an ontological certitude — both intellectual and moral — from a certain type of conservative Trump critic.
These critics not only are sure of their beliefs but seem equally sure that conservative Trump supporters must have an ulterior motive because they couldn’t possibly retain their principles and support him.
I believe they are way off base — their judgment clouded by their bias against Trump — but I don’t doubt that they believe they are doing what is right. However, they won’t extend us the reciprocal benefit of the doubt.
They often smear conservative Trump supporters as cultists — saying we would abandon our principles, even our commitment to national security, to support Trump or cover up his missteps or tweets.
There may be some Trump supporters who appear that way, but rarely is this a cultish phenomenon, any more than is the loyalty of supporters of other strong political figures, such as Presidents liar-nObama and Reagan.
I think the attraction to Trump is grounded in an abiding patriotism. His supporters are deeply concerned about the leftist assault on America as founded and the left’s dedication to completing its fundamental transformation of this nation.
I can’t deny there’s a charisma factor, but if Trump had preached anything but a singularly pro-American message, his campaign wouldn’t have gotten off the ground.
Now, concerning North Korea: Yes, Trump exaggerated when he tweeted that North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat, but it didn’t unsettle me, because I know he didn’t mean it literally.
We know from everything else he said that he is approaching this soberly and has the long view in mind.
A national security hawk, he is aware of the traps and North Korea’s history of deceit. He will insist on verification. And he has surrounded himself with very serious and brilliant foreign policy advisers devoted to America’s national security.
I’ve never done this, but let me share some of my tweets on why I am very upbeat about Trump’s negotiations with Kim Jong Un so far.
“I’m not sure, but it seems to me that the different reactions to Trump’s NK negotiations this week, especially among those on the right, are largely attributable to people’s predispositions about Trump personally — significantly more so even than other issues & it’s fascinating.”
“I think there’s a major difference between Trump rejoicing at NK’s promises & liar-Clinton or liar-nObama doing so. Whatever else you think about Trump, he is a patriot & is committed to America’s security & those priorities transcend his desire to just make a deal, unlike liar-nObama & liar-Clinton.”
“It was as if liar-nObama was so obsessed with making a deal that he’d virtually sell us out to do so — not virtually, he actually did in some respects. No way I believe Trump would do that, on inspections or anything else. I am sure many Trump skeptics will scoff at this assessment.”
“People who are savaging Trump because nothing concrete is done yet are spitting in the wind. It’s impossible that anything concrete could be done yet. Those criticizing any deal because of difficulties in verifiability are also just naysayers. Of course there will be difficulties.”
“How is it legitimate to criticize Trump’s outline of a plan on verifiability concerns when those steps have yet to be specified? Just calm down and let the process unfold. If Trump doesn’t ensure verifiability then or is lax about it, go after him by all means. I think he will.”
“I also think there is a real chance that Kim believes Trump might take military action if Kim betrays us and goes forward. There is little chance he or his predecessors would have feared that with Democrat appeasement presidents.”
“In the end, what are the critics kvetching about? Seems to me their criticism is way more premature than Trump’s celebration. It is inconceivable that much more could have been done substantively than was done in the first meeting and Trump said much work remains.”
“Is there even one leftist critic who would oppose a Democrat president trying to work toward denuclearization? They didn’t complain when liar-nObama’s Iran deal was completely done and he’d given away the farm. Trump’s deal is just in outline form & he’s given away nothing — not yet.”
“I understand people freaking out over Trump’s tweet on this, but do you REALLY believe this means he won’t do everything he can to follow up — and ensure adequate security measures are implemented, or no deal? Because I do, so his optimistic tweet is just that & nothing more.”
“If Trump didn’t give a da– about America’s national security I’d be very skeptical. But I am convinced America’s security is his foremost priority here. That is why I’m not worried — like I would be big time with liar-nObama. And I’m right. Yep, I’m right on this.”

{ jewishworldreview.com } ~ The president's playbook involves doing essentially the opposite of what American and Israeli negotiators have been doing for the past 30 year
We didn’t learn this week whether North Korea will give up its nuclear weapons. Only time will tell.
But we did learn that US President Donald Trump knows how to negotiate.
All of the negotiations experts insist the opposite is true. “How could they agree to a presidential summit without first guaranteeing its end product?” they sigh, knowingly.
“Trump’s showmanship is dangerous and counterproductive,” they sneer.
“At the end of the day, for this to work, Trump will have to copy Barack liar-nObama’s nuclear deal with Iran,” they insist.
Dennis Ross, who mediated the negotiations between Israel and the PLO that led directly to the largest Palestinian terrorism campaign against Israel in history, and Wendy Sherman, who negotiated liar-Bill Clinton’s horrible nuclear deal with North Korea in 1994 and liar-nObama’s disastrous nuclear deal with Iran in 2015, as well as all their esteemed colleagues have taken up their pens and stood before the cameras and clucked about how Trump’s Singapore show is amateur hour.
But what we actually saw in Singapore, for the first time since Ronald Reagan went to Reykjavik, was a US president who actually knew how to negotiate with America’s enemies.
Indeed, Singapore was the first time a Western leader from any nation has gotten the better of his opponent at the negotiating table.
There are three dangers inherent to the process of negotiating with enemies. And to understand how Trump succeeded where everyone since Reagan has failed, it is important to keep them in mind.
First, you have no guarantee that the other side will agree to a deal.
Trump can make the case for denuclearization to Kim. But he can’t make Kim agree to denuclearize.
Since the US has not defeated North Korea militarily, only Kim can decide whether to go along with Trump or not.
The first inherent danger of negotiating then, is that the other side walks away and – as PLO chief Yasser Arafat did in 2000 – chooses to make war instead of peace. Negotiations give credibility to the other side and may, as a consequence, make war a more attractive option for your opponent after a period of negotiations than it was when the talks began.
The last two dangers inherent to negotiations have to do with the actions of Western negotiators and leaders.
Democratically elected leaders have a greater tendency than dictators to become convinced that their political survival is dependent on their ability to deliver a deal. Once that happens, once a leader believes that the risk of failure is too great to accept, he becomes a hostage of the other side.
In 2000, then-prime minister Ehud Barak believed that his only chance of political survival was to convince Arafat to accept a peace deal with Israel. As a consequence, Barak stayed in the negotiations even after Arafat rejected his offer and tanked the Camp David summit in July. He remained in talks with Arafat and his deputies even after they launched the most murderous terror war Israel had ever seen.
The third danger inherent to negotiating with your enemy is related to the second danger. If a leader believes his future depends on getting a deal, the likelihood that he will accept a terrible deal skyrockets.
liar-nObama made reaching a nuclear deal with Iran the chief aim of his second term. To achieve this goal, Obama abandoned every redline he set for himself. He let Iran continue enriching uranium.
He made no demand that Tehran curtail its ballistic missile development. He agreed to gut the inspections regime to the point of meaninglessness. And so on down the line.
liar-nObama was so averse to coming home empty- handed that he agreed to a deal that far from blocking Iran’s path to a nuclear arsenal, paved Iran’s path to a nuclear arsenal. And he threw in $150 billion in sanctions relief to pay for Iran’s efforts to achieve regional hegemony as a sweetener.
With these risks in mind, we turn to the Singapore Summit. Trump’s playbook involves doing essentially the opposite of what American and Israeli negotiators have been doing for the past 30 years.
Five lessons stand out.
1. Don’t make light of your counterpart’s failings, play them up.
For decades, Israeli negotiators praised Arafat as a man of courage and Abbas as a moderate. liar-nObama and his team praised Iranian President Hassan Rouhani as a moderate. By praising their opponents, the Israelis and Americans justified making concessions to their counterparts, without requiring them to reciprocate. In other words, Israeli and US negotiators put the burden to prove good intentions on themselves, rather than their opponents, who actually had no credibility at all.
Trump took the opposite approach. After North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile last July, Trump called Kim “Little Rocket Man” and a “madman.”
By polarizing Kim and blaming him for the growing danger to US national security, Trump made the case that Kim had to prove his good intentions to Trump, not the other way around, as a precondition for negotiations. Kim was required to release three American hostages and blow up his nuclear test site.
He was the one who needed to prove his credibility. Not Trump.
2. Intimidate, don’t woo, your opponent’s friends.
Trump’s three predecessors all begged the Chinese to rein in the North Koreans. In doing so, liar-Clinton, George W. Bush and liar-nObama handed all the leverage to Beijing. To curb North Korea even temporarily, the Chinese demanded continuous US concessions, and they received them.
Trump on the other hand, threatened China. He linked US-China trade deals to Chinese assistance in curtailing North Korean threats and aggression and agreeing to a US goal of denuclearizing China’s client state.
To prove his seriousness, Trump managed to lob 58 missiles at Syrian targets in retaliation for Bashar Assad’s use of chemical weapons while he was eating dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping at his golf club in Florida.
Trump’s linkage of US-China trade to North Korean denuclearization has paid off. Xi cut off North Korean coal exports to China and limited fuel shipments from China to North Korea. A month later, Kim announced he wanted to meet with his South Korean counterpart.
3. Make it easy for your side to walk away from the table and hard for the other side to jump ship.
Trump accomplished this goal through a series of moves. First, he and Defense Secretary James Mattis threatened to destroy North Korea. Second, Trump coupled the threats with the largest increase in defense spending in memory. Third, Trump has repeated, endlessly, that he has no idea whether talks with Kim will lead to an agreement, but he figures it’s worth a shot. Finally, after Kim insulted National Security Adviser John Bolton, Trump canceled the summit.
Not only did Trump’s polling numbers not suffer from canceling the summit, they improved. As for Kim, Trump’s nixing the summit taught him two lessons. First, he learned the price of failure.
Second, Kim learned that unlike his predecessors, Trump doesn’t fear walking away. Indeed, he’ll walk away over something that none of his counterparts would ever dream of jumping ship for. If Kim wants to negotiate with Trump, he will respect Trump’s choices.
4. Appoint hard-line negotiators.
Kim’s attack on Bolton was reasonable from his perspective. Ever since liar-Clinton signed his failed nuclear deal with Kim’s father in 1994, Bolton has been the most outspoken critic of nuclear diplomacy with North Korea in Washington. Bolton opposed – rightly – every diplomatic initiative and agreement every administration adopted with Pyongyang. There is literally no one in Washington more skeptical of the chances that an agreement with North Korea will succeed than Bolton.
And there he was on Tuesday, sitting at the negotiating table in Singapore.
For the past generation, American and Israeli leaders engaging in negotiations with their enemies have given their opponents a say – indeed, they have routinely given them veto power – over the members of their negotiating teams. US and Israeli leaders used their team roster as yet another tool to appease the other side. This, while ignoring the concerns of their domestic constituencies.
Trump took the opposite approach. After setting up the talks in a manner that minimizes the cost of walking away from the table for him and maximizes the cost for Kim, he chose negotiators that would both minimize the chance of reaching a bad deal and assuage and encourage his constituents that he can be trusted. Both Trump’s supporters and detractors know that so long as Bolton is at the table, the chance of the US agreeing to a bad deal is fairly close to zero. Trump’s rising poll numbers and the fact that the majority of Americans support his negotiations with Kim show that his efforts have paid off politically.
5. Take control of the clock.
Reporters in Singapore were shocked when Trump informed them Tuesday afternoon that he and Kim were about to sign an “agreement.” But sure enough, shortly thereafter, they were shepherded into a grand hall for a formal signing ceremony.
A quick look at the “agreement” showed that there was really nothing there beyond platitudes.
Trump’s many critics were quick to take him to task for his “deal” because it was purely aspirational.
But they missed the point. The point wasn’t to reach a serious agreement. The point was to sign a piece of paper that said “Agreement” on it.
By signing the piece of paper, Trump took all time pressure off of himself and his team. They have their deal. He signed it. In a ceremony with a fancy fountain pen. They have all the time they need now to do what it takes to get Kim to cough up all of his nukes.
On the other hand, time is working against Kim.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday that the economic sanctions on North Korea will remain in place until after North Korea has denuclearized in a verifiable manner. In other words, assuming Kim cares about his economy and is in this for the money, Kim will want to reach a deal and implement it as quickly as possible.
Trump’s critics in the US ratcheted up their attacks against his summitry with Kim on Wednesday and Thursday. But everything they say just discredits them. Trump is only dealing with a nuclear armed North Korea because all of his predecessors enabled Pyongyang’s nuclear armament through feckless diplomacy. He’s only there to try a new approach because their old approach gave Kim the theoretical ability to nuke New York.
And now that he’s actually negotiating, it is clear that what they really fear is not that he will fail like they did. They fear that he will succeed, like only he – a loudmouthed real estate mogul and reality show star from Queens who couldn’t care less what they think of him and happened to write a book called The Art of the Deal – can do.

The AMA Moves Left on Guns and Suicide
The second issue the AMA has waded into is gun control. Under pressure from gun-control activists, the AMA caved and endorsed a ban on so-called “assault weapons.” Outgoing AMA President David Barbe, who is a big advocate for gun control, stated, “The AMA must not back down from addressing gun violence.” Pointing out recent school attacks, Barbe further argued, “The fact that this problem continues to worsen has spurred a new sense of urgency in this house even while Congress fails to act.” AMA delegates also endorsed banning firearm possession for individuals under the age of 21.
Here we have a clear example of two slippery slope issues on which the AMA has fallen for the emotional gambit rather than the rationally based facts. On the issue of physician-assisted suicide, the real ethical problem is two-fold. First, it puts a patient in a vulnerable position for risk of coercion, mistakes and even abuse (obviously with no opportunity for correction). Second, it has the potential to put a doctor on the hook legally speaking to perform a physician-assisted suicide even if they oppose the practice on ethical or religious grounds. Look no further than the controversy over providing services for same-sex weddings.
Meanwhile, the AMA throwing its weight behind a ban on “assault weapons,” along with support for other limits to Americans’ Second Amendment rights, is a huge win for the anti-gun lobby. That’s especially true if the gun-grabbers can now make the argument that the AMA says guns are bad for one’s health. It’s this kind of weight that can move politicians and even public opinion, not based on any rational reasoning but simply based upon the academic status of a trusted organization. ~The Patriot Post

Pulosi and scumbag-Corker — Which Side Are You On?
Responding to the latest greatest economic news about job creation and declining unemployment, Pulosi, who is doing everything she can to undermine the considerable economic achievements of the Trump administration, offered this spin: “Hip hip hurray, unemployment is down. What does that mean to me in my life? I need a bigger paycheck. … This isn’t just about the unemployment rate; it’s about wages rising in our country so that consumer confidence is restored.”
As you recall, Pulosi insisted that Republican tax cuts would be “Armageddon” and then dismissed them as “crumbs.”
For the record, headline unemployment dropped to 3.8%, the best since 2000. U-6 unemployment is at 7.6%, the lowest since 2001. Black unemployment hit a record low of 5.9%. Female unemployment is at 3.6%, the lowest since 1953.
About wages and consumer confidence: Paychecks are growing at a record pace. Consumer confidence is at an 18-year high and small business optimism has been higher only one time since 1983.
As for Pulosi’s comment, “I need a bigger paycheck,” she already draws almost $200,000 per year from taxpayers (on top of her enormous office budget), and Pulosi’s net worth is $29.35 million. But like most limo-liberals, abject hypocrisy is the most treasured character trait!
While Pulosi’s comments help advance the conservative agenda, some Republicans just can’t get on board. One of those is my friend, scumbag-Bob Corker, a native to our hometown whom I have known for many years.
scumbag-Bob started off strong in Congress, but with Donald Trump’s victory over liar-Hillary Clinton, he has repeatedly used his Senate standing as chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations to malign Trump — and unfortunately, he’s also insulting grassroots Americans across the nation.
This week, scumbag-Corker observed of Trump supporters: “We’re in a strange place. I mean, it’s almost, you know, it’s becoming a cultish thing, isn’t it? And it’s not a good place for any party to end up with a cult-like situation as it relates to a president that happens to be purportedly of the same party.”
It is unfortunate when capable political leaders get to Washington and, after drinking Potomac Kool-Aid every day, turn on their political base. Notably in scumbag-Bob’s case, he is not running for re-election this year because he would not have survived a primary challenge from a strong grassroots conservative, Rep. Marsha Blackburn. He has yet to endorse Blackburn as his replacement, and by all appearances, is siding with her inept Democrat opponent, a washed-up former governor, Phil Bredesen.

Before this is written, I will share with you about Biblical History of The Tribes Of Dan. In the Biblical account, Joseph is one of the two children of Rachel and Jacob, a brother to Benjamin, and father to both Ephraim, and his first son, Manasseh; Ephraim received the blessing of the firstborn, although Manasseh was the eldest, because Jacob foresaw that Ephraim's descendants. Tribe of Ephraim, are of The Tribes of Dan. They are the ones that moved across this earth and created countries, from Europe To America.
When Europeans first glimpsed Native Americans more than 400 years ago, many were convinced they had discovered the Lost Tribes of Israel. At closer look, the connections are astounding. This hidden association has taken on greater importance recently as the two nations face similar threats, and perhaps even a common Messianic vision quest.
Unmistakable traces of Jewish prayer echo in the voice of Joseph Riverwind, the Amahura (war chief) of the Northern Arawak Nation, the indigenous peoples of South America and Caribbean, as he sings, “Shema, shema, nayena, popaska hoya yah”. He translated this ancient Native American song for Breaking Israel News:
“Listen, listen, people, as you gather together, we will dance before the creator.” This is strongly reminiscent of the Jewish prayer, Shema, which literally means ‘hear’.
These two worlds are embodied in Chief Riverwind, a descendant of both Native Americans and Bnei Anousim (Jews who hid their identity as a result of the Spanish Inquisition). For him, the connection between Native Americans and Judaism is clear.
“Among my people, our ancient name for God is Yah Yah ‘The Supreme Spirit of Spirits’, very similar to Yahweh,” Chief Riverwind explained. “Among my wife’s ancestors, the AniKituwahYah (Cherokee), they called God YoHeWaH. And the similarities don’t stop there. They carried an ark into battle, celebrate seven feasts, kept a seventh day of rest, had cities of refuge, and don’t eat pork.”
Though the eerie etymological similarities may be coincidental, archetypal themes also connect the spirituality of Native Americans to the Bible. Chief Riverwind told a Choctaw story about how the Creator came to a man called Nuah and told him the world would be covered with water. The man was told to make a great raft to save mankind. The stories come from oral traditions which date to pre-Columbian times.
“Another Native American story tells of a time when the world was all one land mass, and we were all one tribe,” explained Chief Riverwind. “We tried to build a sky tower to the creator. These are pre-missionary oral traditions. They are passed down through specially trained storytellers who are forbidden from changing a single word.”
This transoceanic cultural connection goes against most scientific theories about the origins of the Native Americans. Most anthropologists theorize that the Native Americans are descended from Siberian Mongolians who migrated to North America via the Bering Strait, a 50-mile-wide gap that separates Alaska from Russia. Chief Riverwind told Breaking Israel News that the Native Americans tell a very different story.
“Some Anishnabi (Chippewa) believe they are from the Tribe of Ephraim,” Chief Riverwind explained. “Anishnabi” is amazing similar to the Hebrew words, “Anshe Navi” (people of the Prophet). “They lived on the coast, but their legends say that before that, they came from across the great waters. We have cave-drawings of these ships that are very similar to drawings of Phoenician ships in history books.”
This theory is astounding, but archaeological artifacts connecting North America to ancient Israel are not uncommon. The Decalogue Stone found in New Mexico is an 80-ton boulder on which an abridged version of the Ten Commandments is inscribed in ancient paleo-Hebrew. A letter group resembling the tetragrammaton YHWH, or “Yahweh,” makes three appearances. The stone is controversial and has never been tested in a laboratory or dated by scientific means. If authentic, it would prove a pre-Columbian connection between North America and Israel.
The Newark Holy Stones are artifacts discovered in 1860 within a cluster of ancient Indian burial mounds near Newark, Ohio. The mounds are one of the largest collections from an ancient American Indian culture known as the Hopewell that existed from approximately 100 BCE to 500 CE. Similar to the Decalogue stone, the Newark Stones are inscribed with Bible verses in Hebrew.
Many of these artifacts are discounted as hoaxes based on circumstantial evidence, the improbability of their existence and what it implies, despite strong corroborating empirical proof of their validity. Chief Riverwind attributes this simply to ethnocentric tendencies.
“European historians have always underestimated so much of what was going on here before Columbus,” he stated. “They simply can’t imagine men sailing from Israel to North America, even when they are holding the proof in their hands.”
Roni Segal, the academic adviser for eTeacher, an online language academy, was fascinated by the possible connection. “Paleo-Hebrew dates back to the tenth century BCE. The language itself is a key to many ancient mysteries,” she told Breaking Israel News. “Though these discoveries are surprising, when studying the language that was used by God to communicate with Man, these types of connections are not entirely unexpected.” Chief Riverwind feels this connection is especially important today.
“These are things we didn’t share in public before. Now, I really feel there is something stirring in the air. It isn’t by chance that the Native Americans are facing a huge propaganda campaign at the same time as the Jews in Israel are being told they aren’t indigenous,” he stated. “The Native Americans suffered ethnic cleansing and that is what they want to do to the Jews. We have that in common, and it is happening now.”
Many would be surprised to learn that the Native Americans also have a messianic vision. Despite being expressed in different terms, it is similar indeed to what Jews believe.
“First Nations have many prophecies that have been passed down for generations. We know that in the long ago time, the Creator destroyed the earth with water, and today, we are living in the generations when the fires will come to purify the Earth,” Chief Riverwind related.
“Your people’s ancient stories can be found among my peoples ancient stories and we share the same destiny. Many of us have called upon the same Elohim since ancient times, and in the End, all the tribes that have been scattered will be gathered together once again.”

The Democratic Party and its foundation within the Judeo-Christian Values, Judeo-Christian Nation Of America.
The concept of "Judeo-Christian Values" in an ethical , rather than theological or liturgical sense was used by George Orwell in 1939, with the phrase "the Judaeo-Christian scheme of morals." It has become part of the American Civil Religion since the 1940s.
The related term "Abrahamic Aeligions" includes Bahá'ísm, Islam, Druze etc. as well as Judaism and Christianity.
The term is used, as "Judæo Christian", at least as far back as in a letter from Alexander M'Caul dated October 17, 1821. The term in this case referred to Jewish converts to Christianity.
Christianity inherits the notion of a "covenant" from Second Temple Judaism, in the form of the Old Testament. Two major views of the relationship exist, namely New Covenant theology and Dual-covenant theology. In addition, although the order of the books in the Protestant Old Testament (excluding the Biblical apocrypha) and the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) differ, the contents of the books are very similar.
The idea that a common Judeo-Christian ethics or Judeo-Christian values underpins American Politics by Franklin D. Roosevelt (D) and Lyndon B. Johnson (D).
The current American use of "Judeo-Christian", to refer to a value system common Jews and Christians, first appeared in print in a book review by the English writer George Orwell in 1939, with the phrase "the Judaeo-Christian scheme of morals." Orwell's usage of the term followed at least a decade of efforts by Jewish and Christian leaders, through such groups as the National Conference of Christians and Jews (founded in 1927), to emphasize common ground. The term continued to gain currency in the 1940s. In part, it was a way of countering antisemitism with the idea that the foundation of morals and law in the United States was a shared one between Jews and Christians.
Senator Barry Goldwater noted that conservatives "believed the communist projection of man as a producing, consuming animal to be used and discarded was antithetical to all the Judeo-Christian understandings which are the foundations upon which the Republic stands."
Law professor Stephen M. Feldman, looking at the period before 1950, chiefly in Europe, sees the concept of a Judeo-Christian tradition as supersessionism, which he characterizes as "dangerous Christian dogma (at least from a Jewish perspective)", and as a "myth" which "insidiously obscures the real and significant differences between Judaism and Christianity."
Advocates of the term "Abrahamic religion" since the second half of the 20th century have proposed an inclusivism that widens the "Judeo-Christian" concept to include Islam as well. The rationale for the term "Abrahamic" is that Islam, like Judaism and Christianity, traces its origins to the figure of Abraham, who is regarded as prophet in Islam. Advocates of this umbrella term consider it the "exploration of something positive" in the sense of a "spiritual bond" between Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
The concept of a Judeo-Christian tradition flows from the Christian theology of supersession, whereby the Christian with God and Christ’s Covenant or Testament with God Word to supersedes the Jewish one. Christianity, according to this belief, reforms and replaces Judaism.
It is basic Biblical History That Christ is the foundation of Christianity. Being born Jewish, was God's way to Jews to except Christianity.

Amnesty vs. America First
Columnist Chris Pandolfo reveals exactly where Republicans stand on the issue. “Aside from a handful of stalwart holdouts, most of the Republican Party in Congress agrees that amnesty with citizenship will happen for DACA recipients,” he explains. “The split between moderates and conservatives seems to hang on whether an immigration compromise contains a ‘special pathway.’ Conservatives want to treat DACA recipients like normal immigrants, permitting them to use the current law to obtain citizenship, while moderates want to fast-track citizenship for them.”
What makes the latter different from what Democrats want is anyone’s guess.
Moreover, the GOP’s refusal to distinguish themselves from Democrats should surprise no one. The party that should be offering Americans a wholly different agenda is the one that made 2014 election promises to thwart Barack liar-nObama’s socialist and unconstitutional agenda — including his executive order on DACA — and then broke them. The 50-plus times the GOP-controlled House voted to repeal liar-nObamaCare, knowing liar-nObama could veto any attempt to do so, was also revealed as a fraudulent effort by their failure to kill it when they had complete control of Congress and the presidency. So was their promise to defund Planned Parenthood. And their passage of a massive, debt-filled omnibus bill revealed their assertions that they’re the party of fiscal responsibility are absurd.
“This is a difficult issue,” House Speaker Paul Ryan told reporters a week ago, following efforts to contain those in favor of a “discharge petition” that would have forced the House to engage in a floor vote on series of immigration bills. “We’re trying to figure out what the sweet spot is.”
That petition, based on a “queen of the hill” rule would have set up votes on four immigration measures, with the one receiving the most votes above a simple majority prevailing. It was being pushed by the aforementioned moderate Republicans and was designed to bypass House leadership. Ryan managed to maneuver past it, but the House will bring a pair of immigration bills to the floor for a vote next week to “resolve the border security and immigration issues,” stated Ryan spokesperson AshLee Strong in an email.
Nonetheless, those moderate Republicans remain committed to working with Democrats, and amnesty coupled with a pathway to citizenship remains their primary objective.
Why? “The latest push for an amnesty is being driven by business groups who oppose the modest wage raises that are happening in President Donald Trump’s high-pressure economy, which is forcing companies to bid up workers’ wages in a tight labor market,” reveals columnist Neil Munro.
They are being led by the pro-amnesty billionaire Koch Brothers who are spending more than a million dollars in national television and digital ads pushing amnesty, despite its unpopularity among Republican voters. “Elected officials must stop thinking about this as a campaign issue,” insisted James Davis, president of the Koch Network’s PR firm. “This is an avoidable crisis; we’re only here because of Washington’s failure to act.”
Davis is right in one respect. Immigration, both legal and illegal, is far more than a campaign issue. It is the ultimate dividing line between elitists who believe the nation-state is an anachronistic concept, and ordinary Americans who have borne the ravages of porous borders and decades of wage stagnation. Between those who champion sanctuary cities and a host of benefits like drivers’ licenses, in-state college tuition and health care benefits for illegal aliens, and those who believe in the Rule of Law and an end to illegal immigration, chain migration and anchor babies. It is between elitists who reap the “net plus” of a world economy, while the net minuses accrue in hollowed out American cities and towns in the middle of a nation the bicoastal elitists dismiss as “flyover country.”
Tragically — and quite revealingly — less than half of one political party stands up for those ordinary Americans.
“As Democrats have moved increasingly in the direction of an amnesty-only approach to illegal immigration, Republicans at the federal and state level have succeeded by promising voters real immigration enforcement,” columnist Ira Mehlman explains. “Running on that platform, Republicans captured both houses of Congress and the White House in 2016.”
So why would they do a complete flip-flop and reward wholesale lawbreaking in 2018? There are two possible reasons. One is rank cynicism. When the choice in the midterms is between a socialist/Marxist Democrat Party that embraces overt hatred and hysteria as a political platform, and a Chamber of Commerce-beholden Republican Party that embraces rank hypocrisy and the routine betrayal of its core constituency, the lesser of two evils remains in play.
The other possibility is far more chilling. It is quite possible that Democrats and Republicans showcase their differences solely for public consumption, and that America is run by a Ruling Class managing a singular, public-be-damned globalist agenda. Such a possibility goes a long way toward explaining why we have ever-increasing levels of debt, an increasingly amoral culture, a increasingly two-tiered “justice” system — and the ongoing march toward amnesty — regardless of which party controls Congress and the presidency.
Where is the wall? Where is merit-based immigration? Where is E-verify? If they exist in any incarnation in the bills Republicans bring to the House floor next week, it is quite likely they’ll either be at the back of the line behind amnesty and a “pathway to citizenship,” or watered down to the point of virtual impotency — despite the fact that every poll showing Americans favor amnesty only if such requirements and other are met.
Donald Trump was elected largely on his immigration agenda, which was many things. But first and foremost, it was a repudiation of a globalist status quo that dismissed anyone who stood against it as a “populist” — along with the subliminal message that such populism was akin to Nazism. It was a repudiation of the idea that Americans are just another nation of people in a world full of them, no more or less exceptional (and just as expendable) as any other — making it wholly unnecessary to address their needs above and before anyone else’s.
And just as much as anything else, it was a repudiation of the insufferable political correctness used like a club to keep the burgeoning discontent in check.
Ryan claims Trump backs a compromise immigration plan. So do a lot of Americans. But if rock-solid enforcement of the law and air-tight border security aren’t the primary parts of any plan, it is highly unlikely our “America First” president will eviscerate his own agenda. In a word, that would be “deplorable.” ~The Patriot Post

The Media Enemies of Liberty
CNN host Wolf Blitzer protested quite a lot. “It’s one thing not to like the media,” he complained. “Everybody’s always criticizing us and not happy with our coverage. … But it’s another thing to say, ‘It’s not North Korea, it’s not Iran, it’s not Russia, it’s not China; it’s journalists … who are the enemy of the American people.’”
Worse, Blitzer whined, “A lot of his supporters believe that we are ‘the enemy of the American people.’ And that is really, really an awful situation. We are not the enemy of the American people. We love the American people.” CNN has a funny way of showing it.
The Patriot Post exists because Mark Alexander saw a need to counter the Leftmedia monopoly on public opinion and, in 1996, founded this publication to lead the countercharge. We still eschew any advertising, opting to remain solely dependent on the support of our readers — grassroots Patriots who want news analysis that doesn’t parrot Beltway groupthink and that isn’t dictated by corporate advertisers. In other words, the defenders of Liberty have a voice against its opponents.
Trump’s point about “Fake News” being our country’s “biggest enemy” is broadly true. And CNN is among the worst offenders. Promoting themselves as objective news, CNN and other Leftmedia outlets instead push the leftist agenda, regularly distorting the truth to do it. So yes, when the mainstream media is nothing more than a propaganda arm of one party — a party that wants to “fundamentally transform” our nation into a socialist welfare state — that media has become the enemy of American Liberty. ~The Patriot Post
