After Judge Blocks Trump’s Travel Ban AGAIN, He Gets Hit with INSTANT KARMA

By admin | October 17, 2017

The same liberal federal judge who blocked President Trump’s travel ban earlier this year has blocked the latest travel ban right before it was set to go into effect across the country.Image result for trumpU.S. District Judge Derrick Watson, in Honolulu, struck down the newest travel ban blocking entry in the U.S. by nationals from Syria, Libya, Iran, Yemen, Somalia, Chad and North Korea.

Watson is an Obama era appointee and a close friend of the former President. His statement on the ruling is filled with mocking for the President, saying this order “suffers from precisely the same maladies as its predecessor.”

The White House struck back with fury at the judge who is clearly letting his disdain for Trump get in the way of his ability to remain impartial on the bench.

“Today’s dangerously flawed district court order undercuts the President’s efforts to keep the American people safe and enforce minimum security standards for entry into the United States. The Department of Justice will vigorously defend the President’s lawful action.”Image result for trumpAttorney General Jeff Sessions and the Department of Justice are likely gearing up for a big fight on this in the near future. Watson is displaying typical liberal behavior and grandstanding when things don’t go his way.

Trump says Comey 'totally protected' Clinton, swipes at DOJ as new documents confirm claims

President Trump declared on Twitter Wednesday that James Comey "totally protected Hillary Clinton," after the FBI confirmed the former bureau boss drafted a statement on the private email case two months before it was over.

In a series of tweets, Trump also swiped at the Justice Department, seeming to suggest they review what he called an apparent "fix."

“Wow, FBI confirms report that James Comey drafted letter exonerating Crooked Hillary Clinton long before investigation was complete,” Trump tweeted. “Many people not interviewed, including Hillary Clinton herself. Comey stated under oath that he didn’t do this –obviously a fix? Where is Justice Dept?”

He followed up: "As it has turned out, James Comey lied and leaked and totally protected Hillary Clinton. He was the best thing that ever happened to her!"

GOWDY WANTS COMEY TO TESTIFY AGAIN

The flurry of tweets was in reference to the FBI releasing documents this week that prove Comey began drafting a statement regarding the Clinton email investigation months before he interviewed her and other key witnesses. The document release was titled “Drafts of Director Comeys July 5, 2016 Statement Regarding Email Server Investigation Part 01 of 01.”

The release bolstered critics' claims that Comey was drafting an "exoneration statement" well before ending the case and recommending against criminal charges.

The contents of the newly released emails, however, were largely unclear as the majority of the document was redacted. The records, that are now public, show the email titled “Midyear Exam—UNCLASSIFIED” was sent by Comey on May 2, 2016 to FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, General Counsel James Baker and James Rybicki, chief of staff and senior counselor.

Trump's Wednesday challenge to the Justice Department regarding the matter was a throwback to his summer criticism of the nation's top law enforcement official, Attorney General Jeff Sessions. While Trump had been at odds with one of his earliest supporters over the decision to recuse in the Russia probe, Trump in recent weeks has dialed down that criticism.

The existence of the Comey documents was first brought to light by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., after they reviewed transcripts with top Comey aides who alluded to the email’s existence.

The Judiciary Committee penned a letter on Aug. 30 to newly appointed FBI Director Christopher Wray noting their findings, saying that “it appears that in April or early May of 2016, Mr. Comey had already decided he would issue a statement exonerating Secretary Clinton. That was long before FBI agents finished their work.”

“The outcome of an investigation should not be prejudged while FBI agents are still hard at work trying to gather the facts,” the letter stated.

The existence of these documents raised questions over Comey’s June 2017 Senate testimony regarding his decision to go public with findings in the Clinton email investigation. Comey noted former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s involvement in the probe, including her controversial meeting with former President Bill Clinton days before his wife was interviewed.

JUDICIAL WATCH SAYS FBI HAS FOUND CLINTON-LYNCH TARMAC MEETING DOCUMENTS

Last week, the FBI said it uncovered 30 pages of documents related to that controversial 2016 tarmac meeting.

Kaepernick, liar-Clinton and the Anti-America Message
EX8I2M5ShupQAbFJ8n-Za-uTcEXv36eDVqd95IglrgeAigZ5ImTKaL0ba7mNec1MAJuE99isTtuvVxKl7YRRmx8AGW0lVnbgsN0bWx4h-qQHxby9giGuNbx-98gMTKo=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Thomas Gallatin:  What exactly are those NFL players protesting? Racism? Cops? The flag? The national anthem? Some ill-defined perception of systematic injustice? America itself? After Colin Kaepernick started the whole fiasco last football preseason when he sat pouting on the bench, it seems at that moment even he had no clear idea what he was protesting, or even that he was protesting at all. Was Kaepernick motivated by some altruistic concern over the lack of justice, or was he frustrated by his own playing situation? Due to poor play, he had lost the starting quarterback job the season prior, a precipitous fall after having led the San Francisco 49ers to Super Bowl XLVIII. But his sitting on the bench during the national anthem happened to be caught on camera and questions were quickly raised. Only then came Kaepernick’s explanation that his refusal to stand for the anthem was out of protest against police brutality and racial injustice, among other things. Thus a Leftmedia “hero” was born to rally folks to the anti-America social “justice” cause.

An example that exposes the lack of a cohesive message or understanding among the players themselves comes from former NFL wide receiver Donté Stallworth. The now CNN reporter explained the message confusion: “[Players are] telling me it’s also about the gender pay gap, it’s also about housing discrimination — they have so many things that they are interested in and advocating for.” If the supposed pay gap is an issue, it’s ironic that no NFL cheerleaders have seen fit to join the players in protesting the anthem.
The trouble is that as the kneeling fad spread throughout the NFL, most fans and much of the country were rightly offended by this disrespectful display. Rather than any kind of specific and relatable social problem, it shouldn’t have been surprising that protesting the flag and anthem, no matter what the cause, was perceived as hating America.
When Donald Trump, with his finger on the pulse of much of Middle America, publicly blasted players who were protesting the flag, NFL ratings, which were already down, took a nosedive. The NFL commissioner responded by issuing a memo pressing players to stand.
But liar-Hillary Clinton, evidently still striving for relevancy, recently weighed in on the kneeling protests. On Monday, while at a literature festival in London, liar-Hillary said that people should resist “what are very clear dog-whistles” by Trump. She continued, “That’s what black athletes kneeling was all about. That’s not against our anthem or our flag.” She even opined, “Actually, kneeling is a reverent position. It was to demonstrate in a peaceful way against racism and injustice in our criminal system.
Trump responded, “Well, that’s why she lost the election. I mean, honestly, it’s that thinking — that is the reason she lost the election. When you go down and take a knee … for our great national anthem, you’re disrespecting our flag and you’re disrespecting our country. … I think that her statement in itself is very disrespectful to our country.
And that is exactly the point that liar-Clinton, Democrats and the Left don’t seem to understand. The political brand they are attempting to sell to Americans is one that is in essence anti-American. Telling Americans that they are the problem, that their freedoms amount to social “injustice” and need to be increasingly limited, that to be patriotic and proud of one’s country is to be bigoted and racist — that message just doesn’t ring true for much of America. It is not a sin to be an American.

Trump Threads the Needle on Iran

Having twice gritted his teeth and certified Iranian compliance while his administration was conducting a thorough review of its Iran policy options, the president appears finally to have had enough of people advising him that the United States is better off sticking with a flawed deal than no deal at all.

His senior advisers are themselves split on the issue. Secretary of Defense James Mattis maintains the deal remains in the best interest of the United States. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson also reportedly favors keeping the deal even though he has acknowledged Iran’s material breach of its obligations. Meanwhile, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster has called the JCPOA “fundamentally flawed” but has not gone as far as stating the United States should withdraw from it. UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, on the other hand, made the case for decertification. Yet even she said Sunday, “Right now, we’re in the deal to see how we can make it better. And that’s the goal. It’s not that we’re getting out of the deal. We’re just trying to make the situation better so that the American people feel safer.
The Leftmedia punditocracy wasted no time shifting into maximum outrage mode, with some even offering their views on what Iran should do to out-fox the president. The New York Times opined that withdrawing “would be the rashest, most foolish act of the Trump administration to date.” Others claimed that there were no benefits to withdrawing from the JCPOA.
The three European nations that have been indispensable in the ongoing 14-year effort to block Iran’s nuclear aspirations — France, the UK and Germany — all registered their displeasure, stating bluntly that they support maintaining the JCPOA. On the other side of the fence, Israel and Saudi Arabia both welcomed President Trump’s decision. Israel has long been wary of Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile advances. Saudi Arabia meanwhile has been in a shooting war with Iranian proxies in Yemen for nearly three years, and understands better than most the malign influence of Iran in the Middle East.
Trump unquestionably has sole authority in providing or withholding his certification to Congress. The Review Act calls upon the president to certify four specific issues: Iran’s full, transparent implementation of the deal’s terms; whether or not Iran has committed a material breach of the deal; that Iran is not acting in ways that would advance its nuclear weapons capability; and whether the suspension of U.S. sanctions called for in the JCPOA remains in the best interest of the United States. The last provision is the one most clearly immune to arguments about technicalities of Iranian compliance or what is known about their nuclear weapons program, and it is also the one that opens the door to considering Iran’s overall behavior since the JCPOA took force.
Refusing to certify Iran’s compliance will not by itself take the United States out of the JCPOA. In a must-read examination of the possible outcomes, The Weekly Standard’s Reuel Marc Gerecht suggests that the best-case option could even be to de-certify the deal while continuing to waive sanctions, and then working to influence our European allies to ramp up economic pressure on Iran in an effort to get Tehran to accept modifications to the deal. He also makes a key point often left out of recent discussions of the Iran deal — namely the absolute need for a credible threat of military force as a last resort. Without that threat hovering in the background, Iran probably would think it could weather economic pain and wear down its western adversaries with endless go-nowhere talks. After all, the mullahs successfully ran out the clock on the Bush administration with that approach, and they know that President Trump, like George W. Bush before him, won’t be in office forever.
We fully support the president’s effort either to rectify the JCPOA’s serious deficiencies or to begin the process of withdrawing from it. But no one should ignore the very difficult, focused effort that must be put forth over the coming months and even years to bring about rectification, and neither the president nor the Republican Congress have distinguished themselves of late in the focus department.
Supporters of the JCPOA — and there are many of them — will deny its flaws and argue that it remains the best way to prevent Iran getting nuclear weapons. Our international relations with friends and allies may suffer in the short term. As we said at the time, Barack liar-nObama inflicted a double injury to the United States with the Iran deal, first with the deal itself and second with the need for some future president to undo it and damage our relation with European allies. But whatever the short-term fallout, the Unites States must begin the work of correcting the worst foreign policy blunder of the liar-nObama administration.
North Korea has demonstrated what a determined adversary can achieve, in both nuclear and missile capability, if given enough time. Fourteen years have now elapsed since Iran’s nuclear program came to light. In less than that amount of time many of the JCPOA’s restrictions will come to an end, and Iran will be free to establish an industrial-scale nuclear fuel cycle. So we urge the president and like-minded members of Congress not to let up in their efforts to deal with this problem. Time is not on our side.  ~The Patriot Post

{townhall.com} ~ From Washington, D.C. to the NFL and Hollywood, America's idols are tumbling down. This is not a bad thing. For too long, we have wasted precious time and money worshipping these so-called “social justice” warrior hypocrites who continue to disappoint.

Here’s to hoping all this disappointment will lead us back to what really matters, but don’t count on it.

Huge swaths of Americans still bow at the altar of social justice. They believe government-forced “charity” will advance us to an utopian paradise where everyone enjoys the same outcome, despite personal effort, upbringing, unique abilities and education.

Truth is, though, social justice is an oxymoron based on the false premise that the cure for injustice is leveling the playing field and redistributing wealth. As former Vice President Joe loose lips-Biden once said, “You may call it redistribution of wealth – I just call it being fair.”

Karl Marx would be so proud.

Marx hated religion, private property and Judeo-Christian values as much as leftists do today. That’s why you should bolt out of any place of worship that combines Jesus, social justice and the government in the same sentence.

In his book, “The Fatal Conceit: The Errors of Socialism,” economist Friedrich Hayek nails what’s really at stake: “The aim of socialism is no less than to affect a complete redesigning of our traditional morals, law and language – and on this basis to stamp out the old order and the supposedly inexorable, unjustifiable conditions that prevent the institution of reason, fulfillment, true freedom and justice.”

Yesteryears’ creepy social justice warriors are now out of the closet and no longer hide their agenda. Instead, they give it a pink boa and parade their intentions to destroy capitalism, silence free speech and scrub Judeo-Christian values from the public square.

They harp about injustice and claim only they can fix it, which is one of the most arrogant, egotistical piles of hogwash you’ll ever hear.

All that, while they divide us into two groups, normal folks and them. They believe normal folks are about as smart as slugs, therefore incapable of coherent reasoning and self-care. To them, everyday Americans aren’t diamonds in the rough, they are pliable, moldable objects used to reshape America into a socialist nightmare like Venezuela.

As I’ve said before, Democrats’ sacrosanct belief that the government was created to control how fairness is spread around is nothing more than a modern-day effort to reinvent Robin Hood, without all the chivalry and green tights.

Those who romantically embrace the concept of social justice believe the misnomer that stealing from some and passing it on to those who should have had it in the first place will result in some sort of righteous leveling.

Leftists don’t own the market on charity. Normal folks leave government out of the mix and combine their compassion with common sense. They bring food in one hand and a rifle in the other, knowing if they teach someone how to hunt, they’ll eat for a lifetime.

In comparison, leftists bring Trader Joe’s bagels in one hand and a voter’s registration card in the other. Seizing the opportunity to convert their victims into non-thinking entitlement aficionados, they stop at nothing to meet an immediate need, then lead them by their noses to leftist-run metropolises where crime and government handouts abound.

I know, the devil is always in the details, but I’ll go ahead and say it anyhow. Forced “charity” doesn’t bring about justice. Instead, it creates injustice when it stirs up animosity between the less fortunate and those being penalized, taxed, for their hard work under penalty of prosecution.

In sharp contrast, there is a power in authentic generosity that no amount of government social-engineering could or will ever match. The social justice crowd should dust off the knees they protest with and try it sometime.

{thenewamerican.com} ~ The latest estimate from API, the energy trade group, is that increased exports of LNG (liquefied natural gas) over the next 20 years will add nearly 500,000 jobs to the American economy... and $73 billion to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). Marty Durbin, API’s chief strategy officer, stated, “This report confirms that increasing U.S. LNG exports would bring great benefits to American workers and consumers and to the U.S. economy. Increasing the use of U.S. natural gas throughout the world means more production here at home, cleaner air, and increased energy security for our nation and our allies.” The revolution taking place in natural gas has been almost completely overlooked. Most of the focus is on crude oil — its drop from $100 a barrel in 2014 to under $60 today, and how that is threatening the very existence of the OPEC cartel. Indeed, lower gasoline prices get a lot of coverage, while cheaper natural gas shows up in lower utility bills, which is much less exciting. But the fracking revolution that has transformed the development of America’s crude-oil reserves is also revolutionizing the production of natural gas...  https://www.thenewamerican.com/tech/energy/item/27141-us-natural-gas-exports-to-add-500-000-jobs-73-billion-to-economy

{truthrevolt.org} ~ Do you know who is speaking to your kids at school? Teachers, administrators, their friends; maybe an activist who is facing both felony and misdemeanor drug charges. Wait, what?... Indeed, one of these things is not like the others, but that was the case at Sky Vista Middle School in Denver recently. Parents were upset to find out after the fact that a social justice "peace activist" going by the name Queen Phoenix (real name Dezy Saint-Nolde) came to speak to sixth graders. The teacher of the class, Asia Lyons, is now on administrative leave while the district conducts "an investigation into a possible policy violation related to instructional materials." If they aren't sure this is a violation of the policy, the purpose of which is to engage students in real-world learning, they need to change the policy. People with charges pending should not be allowed into the classroom without parental consent. However, the school district told Denver 7 that there is no such rule in place regarding people with criminal records unless the speaker in question is a sex offender. “We feel like the district and school have let the families down,” said one parent...  http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/11-year-olds-forced-listen-social-justice-activist-without-parental-consent

IS THERE AN EXPERT IN THE HOUSE?
by Burt Prelutsky

It might be my imagination, but I don’t believe we have ever had so many people in America pretending to be experts bloviating on so many topics at one time.

It would be bad enough if those passing themselves off as the last word when it comes to guns, climate and race relations, were simply mistaken. But they all have an agenda, and none of them seems even slightly concerned in the well-being of their fellow Americans.

Those who are claiming that the answer to violence in America is to have stricter gun laws have to pretend they’re unaware that the cities with the strictest gun laws (Chicago, Baltimore, Washington, D.C.) have the most murders. They must also pretend that the cause of the murders is somehow the National Rifle Association (NRA), even though none of the homicides has been committed by even one of its four million members.

When it comes to climate change, the ones shouting the loudest about the havoc caused by the recent hurricanes have to pretend that the world has never experienced such natural disasters, thus ignoring reports that Hurricane Maria, to take a handy example, was the most powerful storm to hit North America in 70 years. Inasmuch as our carbon footprint has presumably grown steadily over those seven decades, how do they explain we had to wait this long to experience a hurricane of near-equal strength?

The answer is that they don’t explain it. They don’t need to because truth doesn’t matter to them or to those left-wing idiots eager to further disseminate the lies.  The amateur climatologists have various motives for enlisting in the adolescent, Al Gore-inspired, ecology movement, including a dislike of America’s industrial power, a distaste for modern life, a desire to turn the earth into an imaginary Eden and even, for geeky guys, a way to meet stupid girls.

As for race relations, black Americans have allowed themselves to be sold a bill of shoddy goods by both black and white race hustlers. They have eagerly glommed onto the notion that they have been victimized by white people as a way to rationalize their own failure to get an education, to avoid drugs both the use and sale, to learn a trade and get a job, to avoid having children out of wedlock, to get married and to raise their kids in two-parent families.

If they put their minds and hearts to it, they could raise their status, although probably not as quickly as Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, liar-Bill Clinton and Barack liar-nObama, managed to diminish it. Worst of all, the Democrats had been motivated solely by a desire to ensure that the darkies returned to the plantation and remained there, unshackled slaves who could be counted on to vote against their own best interests every election day.

● Although the entertainment industry is rife with left-wingers, uneducated ignoramuses and sexual predators like Harvey Weinstein, there is the occasional exception. Such a person is my friend, the star of “Wheel of Fortune,” Pat Sajak.

It is a shame that most people only know him as a TV game show host. If his TV talk show had not been victimized by a lousy time slot and a lack of promotion, everyone would realize how bright the guy is.

Although I don’t twitter, one of my subscribers, Patrick Miano of Phoenix, shared one of Sajak’s recent tweets: “OK, let me explain this again. We’re celebs. We’re wiser & more empathetic than you. We are famous. Please take our opinions more seriously.”

It takes a celebrity to properly put other celebrities in their place. Unfortunately, as I said, Sajak is one of the very few who has his head screwed on straight. That’s why I wasn’t surprised to read the eloquent commencement speech he delivered to the 11 members of the first graduating class of Founders Classical Academy in Leander, Texas, earlier this year. Not too surprisingly, the Academy is one of the 16 classical K-12 charter schools operating under the auspices of Hillsdale College.

Sajak opened by admitting there probably wasn’t much he could say to a group of youngsters who had spent years in such an ideal academic setting, but thought he might at least point out a potential pitfall, a pitfall not merely for them, “but for everyone in every corner of American society today. It has altered the way we talk to one another and perceive one another. It has perverted the notion of free speech and poisoned the academic environment. It has turned the American political system on its head, creating a situation where opposing views are not only unwelcome, but are deemed to be signs of evil intent. It has pitted friend against friend and has caused rifts among families.

“I’m talking about identity politics, the attempt to divide Americans and set us against each other. The attempt to classify and categorize us by all sorts of measurements and standards. To a great degree, those who are making these attempts are succeeding. And their efforts are changing our country in fundamental ways.”

After expanding on those thoughts, Sajak concluded with: “I urge you to resist those who would try to undo the basic truths you learned here and to say no to those who try to classify and divide you into opposing identities. You are not Generation Z or whatever they want to call you. You are Bianca and Colton and Chase and Ashton. You are Claire and Ari. You are Jasmine and Ray and Emma.  You are Basil. You are Natasha. You are the first graduating class of Founders Classical Academy. I congratulate you, and I thank you.”

● Going from the sublime to the ridiculous: the way that so many Hollywood figures have defended Harvey Weinstein reminds me of the scandal in the 1970s involving David Begelman, the head of MGM. If you’re not old enough to recall, actor Cliff Robertson blew the whistle on the movie executive when he discovered that Begelman had forged his name to a check.

In the aftermath, Hollywood treated Begelman as if he were a martyr. Robertson, on the other hand, was treated like a leper and found himself blacklisted.

Understand, this isn’t hearsay. A short time after the scandal broke, I was seated in a restaurant frequented by Hollywood types. When Begelman entered, nearly every other person in the place either rose and moved to greet him or reached out to shake his hand or pat his back as he passed by on the way to his table. The way the town went out of its way to console him, you would have thought he was the injured party.

If you didn’t know better, you would have thought the Pope had just entered a gathering of priests and nuns, all of them eager to kiss his ring. It was, instead, a case of a felon entering a gathering of toadies, all of them eager to give his rump a great big smooch.

● Speaking of disgusting public displays, on a recent “Tonight Show,” Miley Cyrus, together with all the female writers on Jimmy Fallon’s staff, were allowed several minutes on camera in which to express their love and admiration of that evening’s guest, liar-Hillary Clinton.

Which has led me to ask what is the difference between MSNBC’s politically partisan Rachel Maddow and the likes of late night talk show hosts Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon? Answer: She is far more masculine and, on occasion, is even amusing.

● As we all know, if liberals didn’t have double standards, the two-faced hypocrites would have no standards at all.

One such example of their hypocrisy is the way they will endlessly prattle on about free speech while at the same time destroy anyone who voices an opinion contrary to their own.

Years ago, I interviewed actor James Wood for one of my books.  When I suggested he was one of Hollywood’s few conservatives, he vehemently denied it. A few years later, he came out of the political closet. When I contacted him, he readily confessed he had lied to me. He elected to wait until he had made up his mind to retire, realizing that the industry would have retired him prematurely if he had dared to tell the truth.

● In a recent article about the role that money has or hasn’t played in my life, I mentioned that I had once passed on a network assignment to write a TV movie about a black man who had gone to jail and, upon his release, became a major league baseball player. I had explained to the network executive that I would prefer writing about a black man who hadn’t been a heroin addict and who hadn’t gone to prison for having committed armed robbery.

It was one thing to write an inspiring script about someone who had valiantly overcome a physical or mental handicap, as I had with a couple of sports-related docudramas, "Aunt Mary" and "A Winner Never Quits: The Pete Gray Story,"and one who had merely been lucky enough to have born with athletic ability.

At the time, I couldn’t recall his name, except that he was fast and had stolen a lot of bases for the Detroit Tigers, Montreal Expos and Chicago White Sox.

My friend, the eminent physician and baseball scholar, Harry Maller, reminded me in an email that the guy’s name was Ron LeFlore and that he had stolen 455 bases during his major league career, and, what’s more, that most of them were never found.

FBI Discovered Russian Bribery Plot Before Obama & Hillary Approved Nuke Deal with Putin-led Nation

The mainstream media, liberal politicians, Hollywood progressives, and workaday Hillary Clinton voters have been hoping for quite some time now that President Trump would get busted for colluding with Russia to obtain the presidency.

Still, to this day, there’s nothing. No solid evidence whatsoever.

Did Russia attempt to interfere in the 2016 presidential race? It’s highly probable, yes. But did they really make a difference at the end of the day, considering most people had their minds made up long before November 8?

Come on!

Now, an actual case of Russian bribery has just been uncovered. And yes, Trump is still not involved.

But check out who is…

From The Hill:

Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.

Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

They also obtained an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.

The racketeering scheme was conducted “with the consent of higher level officials” in Russia who “shared the proceeds” from the kickbacks, one agent declared in an affidavit years later.

Ya don’t say? Not his greatness, King Barack?

Hillary, too? THE HORROR!

Rather than bring immediate charges in 2010, however, the Department of Justice (DOJ) continued investigating the matter for nearly four more years, essentially leaving the American public and Congress in the dark about Russian nuclear corruption on U.S. soil during a period when the Obama administration made two major decisions benefitting Putin’s commercial nuclear ambitions.
The first decision occurred in October 2010, when the State Department and government agencies on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States unanimously approved the partial sale of Canadian mining company Uranium One to the Russian nuclear giant Rosatom, giving Moscow control of more than 20 percent of America’s uranium supply.

When this sale was used by Trump on the campaign trail last year, Hillary Clinton’s spokesman said she was not involved in the committee review and noted the State Department official who handled it said she “never intervened … on any [Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States] matter.”

In 2011, the administration gave approval for Rosatom’s Tenex subsidiary to sell commercial uranium to U.S. nuclear power plants in a partnership with the United States Enrichment Corp. Before then, Tenex had been limited to selling U.S. nuclear power plants reprocessed uranium recovered from dismantled Soviet nuclear weapons under the 1990s Megatons to Megawatts peace program.

“The Russians were compromising American contractors in the nuclear industry with kickbacks and extortion threats, all of which raised legitimate national security concerns. And none of that evidence got aired before the Obama administration made those decisions,” a person who worked on the case told The Hill, speaking on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution by U.S. or Russian officials.

My how the tables have turned.

{rickwells.us} ~ Often when the left wants to elevate their despicable operatives and to provide them with a platform from which to spew their effluent... they will offer them some kind of stupid, meaningless award that means nothing but has the appearance of attaching a certain undeserved dignity to them. The Saturday charade took the form of most damaging, vile espionage criminal of all time being given a boost to her hopelessly tarnished image and presented with an award, laughably, for her “commitment” to promoting the rights of families and children. MAD AS HELL
by Burt Prelutsky

Because I am always scribbling little notes to myself, half the time I don’t know where I’ve collected the grist for my little mill. Some information I gather on TV, some off the Internet, others in books and magazines or even in conversation.  That’s why it throws me when some of you ask me for a source. It’s not that I’m trying to be evasive when I claim not to recall, it’s that I usually don’t remember. I suppose I could take the time to keep track, but that would make it feel too much like a high school homework assignment.

So, here’s the deal. I’ll keep doing what I do, and if anyone discovers that I’m mistaken and lets me know about it, I’ll publish a retraction. What’s more, I won’t bury it among the classifieds, the way that your hometown newspaper does.

● One of my readers wrote to complain that if he watches Fox for even an hour, he seems cursed to come across Juan Williams, about whom he writes: “I’ve yet to hear him say a single thing that isn’t a regurgitation of Democratic propaganda.”

I replied: “I only watch three Fox shows: Bret Baier, Tucker Carlson and, on Sunday, ‘Media Buzz’ with Howard Kurtz, which may be why I haven’t had to put up with Mr. Williams in several months. On the other hand, perhaps the reason I limit myself to those three shows is because he doesn’t appear on any of them.

When I used to see him on a regular basis, I found him to be so consistently moronic, I wondered if he wasn’t playing or, perhaps, over-playing, his designated role as Fox’s token black liberal, making white conservative viewers grateful that they were neither liberal nor black.”

● Another of my readers, Patrick Miano, let me know that “In the good old days when the United Kingdom hanged at least some murderers, there were ‘aggravated circumstances’ which were requirements for the death penalty. One of them was murder by shooting. Why the British considered using a gun to murder someone worse than using a knife or poison is beyond me.”

Because nothing, I like to think, is beyond me, I suggested the following: “My guess is that knives and poison are personal, and the Brits assumed if you wanted to kill a spouse or a rich relative, you were going to go ahead and do it, no matter the additional risk. A gun, on the other hand, is a weapon a career criminal would employ, and the fact it could lead to his being hanged might curtail its use.”

● Football players, who are rapidly replacing defense attorneys as the most despised group of people in America, were unanimous in denouncing V.P. Pence’s departure from a Colts-49er game as a stunt. Apparently, they would have us believe that kneeling during the National Anthem isn’t a stunt. Or perhaps they simply believe they have a patent when it comes to stunts.

● Dianne Feinstein has put all our minds to rest by announcing she will be running for re-election. Which means that we will soon have another person in their 90s serving in the U.S. Senate. If this keeps up, they are going to have to widen the aisles in the chamber in order to make room for all the walkers and oxygen tanks.

● I saw a cartoon of a big, angry-looking woman in a store yelling at a male customer: “I am a strong independent woman who doesn’t need a man. Now pay for my ridiculously inexpensive birth control!”

It makes me wonder how it is that all those young single women who keep insisting how strong they are don’t notice a certain contradiction when they keep insisting, one, that colleges provide them with safe spaces filled with blankets, teddy bears and endless cups of cocoa; and, two, that the rest of us provide them with health insurance up to the age of 26 and abortions until they reach menopause.

● Somewhere, I read that when sociopaths used a bomb to murder 168 people and injure 680 others in 1995, it wasn’t a “gun problem.” And when, on 9/11, sociopaths used airplanes to murder 2,977 people and injure 6,000 others, it wasn’t regarded as an “airplane problem.” Moreover, when a sociopath used a truck to murder 85 people and injure 458 others in 2016, it wasn’t a “truck problem.”

Yet, when sociopaths use a gun to murder people, Democrats always label it a “gun problem.”

What they don’t do is make it any easier to identify and institutionalize sociopaths.  It could lead a person to conclude that liberals are more concerned with confiscating guns than they are with preventing mass-killings.

● One of my readers, Elaine Pitts, reports that years ago, she and a male cousin exchanged comments about the enormous perks available to politicians. Whereas Elaine thought members of Congress should live in barracks, ride shuttle buses and eat in mess halls, her cousin countered that they should live in tents, ride bicycles and brown bag it.

Ms. Pitts felt that either of their plans “would rule out those seeking office for fame, fortune and power. Then maybe we would have politicians who are there to actually serve their constituents, do their job in D.C. and then return home to a real job.”

I replied: “I’d prefer them to stay home and never go to D.C. They could communicate through audio-visual devices the way that major corporations do when they have offices situated all over the globe. Otherwise, it’s asking too much that people serve in the House or Senate, and then go back home after a few years and pick up where they left off. Even I would have a tough time and I’m just a writer. But if I had a business or a law or medical practice, it would be too great a hardship.

“The solution I would really prefer is that we deflate the federal government, so that its only functions would be those spelled out in the Constitution.”

The truth is, the only reason that those 535 legislators congregate in Washington, D.C. is to provide lobbyists with the convenience of one-stop shopping.

● I came across something that explains the state of race relations in terms anyone can understand: “If a white person moves out of a neighborhood, it constitutes white flight. If he moves in, it’s gentrification.

“If a white person either notices the color or fails to notice the color of another human being’s skin, he’s either a racist or he’s choosing to ignore racism.

“If a white person engages in a different culture, he’s guilty of cultural appropriation. If he doesn’t engage, he’s being non-inclusive.”

In other words, whitey, whatever you do or don’t do, say or don’t say, you can’t escape being a racist.

● A couple of things I wouldn’t know if I only watched Fox, I discovered in the pages of The New American. It seems that I occasionally can recall where I learned something.

It seems that the cyberweapon used in the ransomware attack last May that led, among other things, to ambulances being rerouted, surgeries to be rescheduled, manufacturers to halt production and airlines to cancel flights, was developed by, and then lost control of, by the NSA.

The reason the attack was such a rousing success, though, was because Microsoft had left a vulnerability in their products that could only be prevented with a patch they only made available to those using selected versions of Windows or those who had purchased an extended security agreement plan.

Various Big Brothers are not only watching you these days, but allowing our enemies to join them.

As dangerous as Iran and North Korea are, we may in the long run have far more to fear from the snoops in the intelligence community and the titans of Silicon Valley.

The other thing I found out is that the Mormons are pulling 180,000 older teens out of the Boy Scouts of America, moving them into a scouting program of their own.

As Matthew Bowman, a Mormon scholar and history professor, explains: “The church is wedded very much to traditional gender roles and they see the Boy Scouts increasingly moving away from that.”

Although Mormon officials deny it has anything to do with the Scout’s decisions to allow homosexuals to act as Scout leaders and to allow girls to join, one can’t help thinking the Mormons are fibbing. Especially when you discover that the Boy Scouts have also seen mass exoduses from other conservative Christian groups, such as the Southern Baptist Convention and the Assemblies of God.

Some years ago, when the BSA was being challenged to allow homosexuals to become Scout leaders, I wondered why gays didn’t simply save everyone a lot of trouble and start an alternate group of its own. But that would have been too simple and too logical in the madhouse that America has become.

Instead, just like those troublemaking couples who intentionally seek out religious bakers they know will refuse to make cakes for same-sex marriages, the Gay Mafia insists on destroying those groups and individuals who won’t pander to their repulsive life style.

When you look around and see all the mischief being caused by George Soros, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, campus Nazis, Barack liar-nObama’s resistance movement, dishonorable football players, a biased media, a non-functioning Senate and home-grown Islamists, I fear America is having a nervous breakdown.

Unless we come to our collective senses, which is growing increasingly unlikely, I’m afraid one creepy old man in a Vegas hotel room is just the beginning.

One can easily imagine Stephen Paddock parroting the words of Howard Beale in “Network,” as he busted out the window on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Hotel: “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore.”

Canada: Muslim student admits trying to kill woman after ‘listening to the Koran’

Source: ‘I was not aware of what I was doing at the time,’ says UBC attempted murder suspect – British Columbia – CBC News h/t Jihad Watch

Saudi Muslim who tried to behead student

A videotaped interview between an RCMP officer and Thamer Hameed Almestadi was played during his trial in relation to the 2016 attack on Mary Hale at an on-campus dorm.

The man charged with attempted murder in an attack at UBC last year admitted that he tried to kill the victim, but added that he didn’t know what he was doing during the incident.

“I tried to kill her,” Thamer Hameed Almestadi admitted in a videotaped interview with RCMP Sgt. Kevin Jeffrey.

“I was not aware of what I was doing at the time,” he added.

Almestadi has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon in the 2016 attack that left Mary Hare with serious injuries, including a five-inch-long cut to her throat.

In the hours-long interview that was played in court during day two of Almestadi’s trial, the UBC student was at times crying and remorseful, asking the officer if the victim was going to survive.

“Tell her I’m sorry …Tell her I made a mistake … I didn’t even know why her,” he said.

The international student from Saudi Arabia said that he hadn’t slept the night before the attack at UBC’s Salish House and was feeling overwhelmed by school work in the weeks leading up to the incident.

“I am so behind in school … I can’t get focused in school.”

When asked by Sgt. Jeffrey why he might have attacked Mary Hare with a knife Almestadi said, “I started listening to the Koran and understanding the meanings differently.”

“If you read something and your mind is thinking something else, you understand differently.”

Almestadi — who was 18 at the time of the incident — said he even began seeing things that weren’t real.

“At that point I thought Mary was the devil,” he said.

Drag-Queen Demon Reads to Kids at Michelle Obama Library

The Michelle Obama public library in Long Beach, California, has presented to children who are part of its young readers program a huge array of diversity and “inclusion” agendas . . .

It was when Xochi Mochi arrived for a visit.

That made the program pro-LGBTQ . . .

And Satanist-approved, with the character’s red-tipped, demon-like horns . . .

It happened at the Obama library for the “Drag Queen Story Hour,” a part of a collaboration between the LBPL, the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, the Genders and Sexualities Alliance Network and the LGBTQ nonprofit Imperial Court of Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Public Library’s calendar.

School Allows Transgender Boys to Sleep in Girls’ Dorm

( Time to drain the swamp in our schools )

A British school has changed its policies to allow biological boys to sleep in the girls’ dorms, wear skirts, and use gender neutral pronouns and girl names.

The new policies at Gordon’s School in Woking, England, lets both boys and girls use whichever bathrooms the individual feels comfortable using and dress however they see fit, according to the Times on Sunday. The school policy allows boys to wear jewelry, makeup, and sport long hair.

“Parents of pupils were surprised by how open-minded we have been. Most schools are having these issues,” said Rob Pavis, the deputy head of the school.

Students had left the institution to embrace their gender identities elsewhere because they didn’t feel comfortable doing so at the boarding school. Gordon’s School made the changes after receiving guidance from the Boarding Schools’ Association, encouraging the school to let a boy sleep in the girls’ dorm if he intends to change his gender. The Memo That a Russian Lawyer Took to the Trump Tower Meeting Is Finally Out

A four-page memo that has been a central focus of the Trump Tower meeting last June between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian attorney has finally been released.

Foreign Policy magazine published the document, which Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya took into the June 9, 2016 meeting, which was arranged by Trump Jr. and attended by Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner and then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

The document, and the meeting, have become a focus for congressional and federal investigators looking into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government. The meeting has raised questions about collusion because Trump Jr. accepted it after an acquaintance contacted him promising that a “Russian government attorney” would provide damaging information about Hillary Clinton . . .

Veselnitskaya’s memo, which Foreign Policy obtained from a Russian news station that recently interviewed the lawyer, suggests that little information about Clinton was provided to the Trump campaign. Restaurant Owner Who Refused to Show NFL Games Gets Hit With Amazing News

(Christian News Alerts) – Since NFL players started participating in mass protests against the national anthem, businesses have been pulling back their support of the NFL, even at a financial loss.

Bill DeFries, the owner of a Beef O’Brady’s restaurant, said he experienced a $6,000 hit to his bottom line after announcing he’d no longer show NFL games at his restaurant, according to Independent Review-Journal. Yet he was surprised when customers began flooding the restaurant, bringing more business than he’s ever had.

DeFries is a Marine veteran who owns a Beef O’Brady’s restaurant in Ohio. According to DeFries, the NFL was a part of the restaurant experience on Sundays. “We are a family restaurant, and we have been for 13 years. And our customers are from the community. They come in here to relax and enjoy a meal and be entertained, in particular by the NFL on Sundays.”

Yet the recent NFL boycott of the national anthem deeply offended DeFries. “I have to tell you as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I served to defend our country’s Constitution and free speech, and while I defend the right of every American to express their views and voice this freely, the actions demonstrated by the NFL players during the country’s national anthem – it was offensive and disrespectful to me as a proud veteran and all my fellow veterans.”

He was also concerned that many of the military veterans who eat at his restaurant were similarly offended, “…we also serve a lot of local military families and veterans, many of whom share my view on the NFL players’ actions during the national anthem.”

DeFries said he met with his management team to assess the situation and see what the effect of a boycott would be: “Before making this decision, I met with the leadership team to ensure we were all aligned on the issue, and we were. We knew that our sales would be negatively impacted.”

Sure enough, DeFries’s restaurant was hit with a financial loss when he attempted to secure a refund from DirecTV for his NFL subscription package.

According to USA Today, shortly after the protests, DirecTV announced it would offer refunds for the NFL Sunday Ticket package for its customers who were offended by the protests. It was one of the first companies to deal a blow to the NFL, as subscribers, TV ads, and TV ratings are a key component of their revenue stream.

Yet DeFries said because he’s a business and not a residential customer, he was expected to pay the fee for the cancellation, a whopping $6,000.

Restaurant owner paid $6000 to cancel NFL games. Then his neighbors stepped up to support him. Do you support your patriotism with your pocketbook?

But the fee has already proven worth it as customers began pouring through the doors, said DeFries. “Every day our sales have been up between 200 and 300 percent. People we have never seen before are driving hours to support us and the employees. We have received heart-warming and supportive phone calls, emails, and direct messages from people all over the United States thanking us.”

DeFries said he was pleasantly surprised by the large display of patriotism, “It turns out the enormous amount of pride and reverence that we have for the national anthem and everything that it means to us as a free people… is shared by the vast majority of Americans.”

The NFL players can claim their protest was to unite the American people and show respect for their country and their values all they want, but it’s never going to be true. True unity and respect for the US is shown by patriotic men and women who respect and honor the national anthem and recognize it as a ceremony meant to express that patriotism and not a platform for pettiness.

DeFries said, “It turns out the enormous amount of pride and reverence that we have for the national anthem and everything that it means to us as a free people … is shared by the vast majority of Americans.”

And he said he’s “seeing it firsthand.”

Kneeling Jaguar & Rams Players HORRIFIED By What They See Overhead During Nasty Anthem Protest

By admin | October 16, 2017

Former fans of the National Football league have protested in many different ways. Some have just stopped watching, some have actually made a show of burning their NFL gear and or tickets and posted it on social media. But an inventive boycotter came up with something a little different, to do.

Apparently, no audience was too big for the disgruntled former fan. He had an idea and the means to do it. And since this is a free country where we can peacefully protest any way we want, that’s just what he did. Terry Smiley, a Jacksonville native, was pretty upset about how his team acted, so he told them about it in giant letters, for all to see.rams-jags-plane-banner-1-main-700x340.jpgAction News Jax reported that Smiley hired a pilot to pull a banner that encouraged fellow Jacksonvillians to boycott the team:

A man from Green Cove Springs took his issues with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the NFL to the sky on Sunday.

Terry Smiley had the message printed on a banner that was flown above EverBank Field before the Jacksonville Jaguars’ game against the Los Angeles Rams.

This all-American sport is dividing fans after some NFL players took a knee during the national anthem.

“I am asking people to boycott the football games. I don’t watch it on TV,” Smiley said.

People’s feelings about politics and football seem to bleed together on the turf.

“People need to realize the true message that they’re trying to send,” Jaguars fan Jay Crossman said. 1508158276151.jpgIf there were going to be a medal for the most dedicated to the boycott, this guy should get it. He’s not only sending the message to his friends and family, he paid for it to be flown right over the player’s heads so they could see his disdain.

Many of the entitled millionaire players who have been participating in this boycott consider it to be their right to protest, and until the teams say that they can’t, it is. It’s also the right of every betrayed fan to make them regret it in any legal way possible. This is an American who’s ready to put his money where his mouth is, and obviously, he’s making waves.

Smiley is not only interested in getting the boycott more strength, but he has a few questions that he’d like to ask the players:

“Do you believe in your country? Do you believe in ‘The Star-Spangle Banner?’ If you don’t stand up for it now, you won’t have it in the future,” Smiley said.

As a former Jags fan, he hired a pilot to fly his banner over the stadium for two hours to send his message about players kneeling.

“I have the right to protest and I’m going to protest it with bumper stickers, airplanes – whatever I go to do. I will continue to protest,” Smiley said.

He does have the right to protest, just like they do. And unlike the football players in question, he’s not taking the money of the people that he’s protesting against. The players in the NFL may be employed by the teams, but we are the team’s customers, so it’s our dollars that they’re spending on those fancy knee pads that they’re keeping in the dirt.NFL protest floridaSome fans are on the offense, saying players are kneeling for a greater cause – equality.

“They are taking it in a peaceful manner. They are trying to use their words and use their actions instead of taking it to violence,” Jaguars fan Jaumari Day said.

“They have publicly stated that they care about veterans and the flag and that’s not what they’re kneeling against,” Crossman said.

Smiley is giving away bumper stickers in hopes his supporters will join him and boycott NFL football.

“We boycott them and we hit them in the pocketbook where it (hurts) them. (Before) long, we’ll have them on both of their knees,” Smiley said.

“We have people who are legitimate concerns who happen to be NFL players. They still live in the community. They have a right to protest. That’s (Smiley’s) right. Just like the NFL players who take their knee that’s their right. He has the right to do what he is doing,” Jaguars fan Calvin Sinclair said.

The very pointed message that Smiley sent to the Jaguars players is one that many of us have wanted to send for a long time but were unable to find a large enough platform for. The problem that fans have the with the NFL players is not that they have a differing opinion than us. We might think that they’re wrong, but they’re allowed to be wrong, that’s the beauty of America.rams-jags-plane-banner-1-main-700x340.jpgThe problem that we have is that our hard earned dollars are going toward giving them an international platform on which to flip off the American flag. You don’t have to agree with a person in order to live peaceably with them, but you do have to agree with them in order to fund the furthering of their agenda. Smiley found a way to hit back, and we’re all glad he did.

Share if you’re glad the entitled players got the message!

About That 'Blacks Want New Gun Laws' Poll
1cu7YJoei6Bygpe4yJvaL27tsI8jCxortY7gcQityJe-DtAYL9HiZ6cFLG1ThKfXndV2sMGt2fWci1Zkgz2adbqTEHSsYQqStNt7JFK39EPD6tFo1eBt4Duf1Kjr3lQ=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Nate Jackson:  “Black Americans want new gun laws to curb gun violence,” The Washington Post headline tells us. “Trump offers more police.” And with that one statement, we have so much to rebut!

So let’s start with the racist origins of gun control in the Jim Crow South. That’s right; the first laws to prohibit guns were meant to keep guns out of the hands of blacks, leaving them defenseless against the KKK. The worst massacres in American history weren’t Orlando and Las Vegas. As National Review’s Kevin Williamson recounts, “That happened in — depending on who is doing the counting — 1917 in East St. Louis, or in 1873 in Colfax, La., or in 1921 in Tulsa, Okla., or in 1919 in Arkansas. All of those were mob-violence episodes in which white terrorists, often working under the leadership of Democratic politicians, massacred African Americans, hundreds at a time. Some were shot, some were hanged, some were burned alive.” Unarmed and defenseless blacks.
Second, we’d call this an example of pollaganda. The Leftmedia repeatedly and falsely tells blacks that the problem with inner cities is guns. Then the Leftmedia asks blacks if removing guns would fix the problem. Lo and behold, people are able to regurgitate the position fed them by the media.
Third, among the Trump statements the Post takes issue with was his assertion that Democrats have “ruled the inner cities for 100 years. This is their rule.” He’s absolutely correct. As Mark Alexander noted Wednesday, “The 30 cities with the highest murder rates have been under Democrat control for decades.” Even the Post sort of concedes this by noting how successful New York was at reducing crime … under Republican Rudy Giuliani. Nevertheless, the black homicide rate is rising.
Fourth, speaking of reducing crime, that brings us to law enforcement. Barack liar-nObama’s war on cops has been deadly before, and it turned so again this week. A 19-year-old college fanboy of liar-nObama and Bernie Sanders gunned down Texas Tech University campus police officer Floyd East Jr. on Monday.
Fifth, who, pray tell, is going to enforce these new gun laws? We’ll give the erudite folks at the Post three guesses.
Finally, a point about NFL celebrity athletes taking a knee to promote and popularize the fake “racist cop” assertion — a protest started by former San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who recently donated funds to honor a cop-killer. USA Today compiles an arrest database of NFL players that is 870 records long. (The NBA is no better.) These cop-hating “National Felons League” thugs are the heroes of many inner city blacks kids.
So a memo to the Post and their “gun control” advocates: Guns aren’t the problem, Democrat constituencies and policy are the problem.

RINO Collins Joins Tapper

{rickwells.us} ~ Maine Senator RINO-Susan Collins breathlessly told her leftist ally Jake Tapper on CNN how the “evil” Trump is taking insurance away from poor people... by forcing Congress to appropriate the money that they allowed liar-nObama to simply take. It’s a great scheme for the well connected establishment types, to structure a system where Americans are forced to buy your product and also forced to pay for others who don’t have the money to do so on their own through subsidies. Then, in the unlikely situation that a non-establishment, non-profiteering man of the people is elected and tries to put a stop to it, accuse him of being a heartless elite who hates people of less means and with darker skin. The dishonest RINO Collins is asked about President Trump’s executive order eliminating the illegal liar-nObamacare subsidies, asking her if he’s not “blowing up liar-nObamacare,” ignoring the fact that it is already imploding and is only surviving through the illegal wealth confiscation and redistribution to the insurance companies that Trump has now eliminated...  https://rickwells.us/rino-collins-trump-hurting-citizens/

{investigativeproject.org} ~ For months now, Western counterterrorism experts have sounded the alarm: as ISIS loses ground, foreign fighters from America and Europe may try returning home. When they do, the experts cautioned... they will carry the terror threat with them, ready and willing to strike. Law enforcement needs to be prepared. Now, with the fall of the Iraqi city of Harija, the Islamic State's last major stronghold, and the impending collapse of its Syrian capital, Raqqa, the time has finally come. But is law enforcement prepared? Not really. An estimated 5,000 Europeans joined ISIS and other terrorist groups since fighting first broke out in Syria. While some surviving members may choose to remain in the region, or travel to other conflict areas like Afghanistan, a few thousand others are likely to try to make their way back home. In countries such as France, Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands, most of them are at the border, where they will be taken into custody and ultimately tried for terror-related offenses...  https://www.investigativeproject.org/6783/returning-isis-jihadists-pose-long-uncharted

{thepoliticalinsider.com} ~ According to reports, President Donald Trump is considering  replacing Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with CIA Director Mike Pompeo... This means, of course, that Trump would need to find a new CIA head – and Sen. Tom Cotton is in the running. According to a report from Axios, Cotton is being considered because he is “one of the few senators with an easy relationship with Trump.” Cotton talks to Trump a few times a week, and he even planted the seed for Trump’s new Iran policy. And like Trump, Cotton is not a career politician: a double Harvard graduate, he served in the Army’s 101st Airborne, with combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, for which he earned a Bronze Star. He then worked as a consultant at McKinsey and Co. before embarking on a political career in 2012... {punchingbagpost.com} ~ Earlier in the week, The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump Administration was going to make some big changes to the American healthcare system.

The administration made an announcement late Thursday that one of those changes would be that key payments to insurers selling on the liar-nObamacare healthcare exchanges would officially end.

The cost-sharing reduction payments cost an estimated $7 billion and Trump has alluded to halting the payment program a few times before.

"Based on guidance from the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Human Services has concluded that there is no appropriation for cost-sharing reduction payments to insurance companies under liar-nObamacare. In light of this analysis, the Government cannot lawfully make the cost-sharing reduction payments," write the White House in a statement on Thursday night. “Congress needs to repeal and replace the disastrous liar-nObamacare law and provide real relief to the American people.”

liar-nObamacare, also known as the Affordable Care Act, relied heavily on these payments to keep insurers enrolled in health care exchanges.

The payment system, in particular, was a point of contention between Democrats and Republicans. Republicans argued that tax-payer dollars shouldn’t be used to “bail-out” insurance companies and halted the subsidies with legal action. The liar-nObama Administration was attempting to appeal the subsidies in court. But Trump’s move takes the appeal off the table.

"The bailout of insurance companies through these unlawful payments is yet another example of how the previous administration abused taxpayer dollars and skirted the law to prop up a broken system. Congress needs to repeal and replace the disastrous liar-nObamacare law and provide real relief to the American people," said Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House press secretary.

Trump is visually frustrated with the lack of progress when it comes to health care law and made the overnight decision in an effort to pressure the Democrats to compromise.

“The Democrats liar-nObamaCare is imploding. Massive subsidy payments to their pet insurance companies has stopped. Dems should call me to fix!” tweeted Trump Friday morning. "liar-nObamaCare is a broken mess. Piece by piece we will now begin the process of giving America the great HealthCare it deserves!"

On Thursday, Trump also signed an executive order to make health care premiums lower and predicts that “millions and millions of people” will benefit.

“With these actions,” said Trump at White House ceremony when signing the executive order. “We are moving toward lower costs and more options in the healthcare market, and taking crucial steps toward saving the American people from the nightmare of liar-nObamacare.”

“Mr. Trump’s order would also eventually make it easier for small businesses to band together and buy insurance through entities known as association health plans, which could be created by business and professional groups. A White House official said these health plans “could potentially allow American employers to form groups across state lines” — a goal championed by Mr. Trump and many other Republicans — allowing more options and the formation of larger risk pools,” writes the New York Times.

The federal agencies will need time to write and adopt the new regulations. The order won’t likely go into effect until sometime next year.

Democrats are already expressing their disapproval of Trump’s recent move to stop the cost-sharing reduction payments.

"If these reports are true,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck clown-Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Minority Leader Nancy Pulosi, D-Calif in a joint statement. “The president is walking away from the good-faith, bipartisan Alexander-Murray negotiations and risking the health care of millions of Americans.”

“It is a spiteful act of vast, pointless sabotage leveled at working families and the middle class in every corner of America. Make no mistake about it, Trump will try to blame the Affordable Care Act, but this will fall on his back and he will pay the price for it,” said clown-Schumer and Pulosi in the statement.

Democrats are expected to take legal action in response.

On the other hand, Speaker Paul Ryan applauded Trump’s move to stop the appeal of the subsidies.

"Today’s decision ... preserves a monumental affirmation of Congress’s authority and the separation of powers," said Ryan. "liar-nObamacare has proven itself to be a fatally flawed law, and the House will continue to work with the Trump administration to provide the American people a better system.”

Democratic Senator Compares Trump to Hitler in Controversial Online Image

( Nov.8th 2018 is our next elections time to remove these racist Social Democratic Party from our government!!!! )

17

A state senator from University City already publicly chastised for calling for President Donald Trump’s assassination has now stepped in it again with a comparison of the commander-in-chief to one of history’s most evil, Adolf Hitler.

Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, a Democrat, bluntly hoped for Trump’s assassination on her Facebook page back in August. And now?

Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, a Democrat.

Now she’s posted yet another message of hate.

Governing has the story:

In Chappelle-Nadal’s post, Trump takes off a shirt to reveal Adolf Hitler.

At least two Republican lawmakers shared their displeasure on Twitter.

State Rep. Phil Christofanelli, R-St. Peters, called the post “shameful.” State Rep. Jean Evans, R-Manchester, said Chappelle-Nadal was continuing her “disgusting attacks on our president.”

Though Chappelle-Nadal quickly deleted the Facebook comment from August, later offering an apology, she offered no apology for the latest post when contacted by the Post-Dispatch.

She criticized the Trump administration’s efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, saying the slow recovery would lead to widespread “illness, death and despair.”

On Thursday, Trump lashed out at Puerto Rico, insisting in tweets that the federal government can’t keep sending help “forever” and suggesting the U.S. territory was to blame for its financial struggles.

Forty-five deaths in Puerto Rico have been blamed on Hurricane Maria, about 85 percent of Puerto Rico residents still lack electricity and the government says it hopes to have electricity restored completely by March.

“Our president has again failed the American people,” Chappelle-Nadal said. In a later tweet on Thursday, Chappelle-Nadal said “Puerto Rico deserves to be part of a nation that will not authorize GENOCIDE on its own people.”

“I have a First Amendment right to share my opinion, and if a meme is offensive to people, they should look at the First Amendment again,” she said. “Then ask yourself why you have different qualifications for a black woman of Puerto Rican descent than other people putting up a meme with no words. It’s Twitter.”

Chappelle-Nadal said the meme had been circulating among some in St. Louis who are protesting white supremacy and inequities in policing.

“This comes from protesters in the movement,” she said. “I fully and wholeheartedly support the peaceful protesters in St. Louis.”

She also said it’s not the first time she has been critical of Trump on Twitter.

Chappelle-Nadal said she is speaking up for dozens of family members in Puerto Rico, including two great-uncles who are veterans. She said she has been unable to get in contact with her uncles since the hurricane .

Though her Senate colleagues admitted in September they did not have the votes to remove Chappelle-Nadal from office, they did vote to censure her, almost unanimously.

Only two of Chappelle-Nadal’s colleagues — state Sens. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, and Shalonn “Kiki” Curls, D-Kansas City — did not go along with the plan.

Opinion in Brief

Peggy Noonan: “Why do Americans own so many guns? Because they don’t trust the protected elites to protect them. … I think a lot of Americans have guns because they’re fearful — and for damn good reason. They fear a coming chaos, and know that when it happens it will be coming to a nation that no longer coheres. They think it’s all collapsing — our society, our culture, the baseline competence of our leadership class. They see the cultural infrastructure giving way — illegitimacy, abused children, neglect, racial tensions, kids on opioids staring at screens — and, unlike their cultural superiors, they understand the implications. Nuts with nukes, terrorists bent on a mission. The grid will go down. One of our foes will hit us, suddenly and hard. In the end it could be hand to hand, door to door. I said some of this six years ago to a famously liberal journalist, who blinked in surprise. If that’s true, he said, they won’t have a chance! But they are Americans, I said. They won’t go down without a fight.”  ~The Patriot Post

Rep Jordan Stomps Blowhard Cuomo

{rickwells.us} ~ Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) agreed to an interview with the exceptionally rude propagandist Chris Cuomo, who talked over him throughout, in his customary manner... Not only is Cuomo the epitome of CNN Democrat partisanship, even the banner above his name is reflective of the network bias, reading “Trump ends healthcare subsidies for poor people.” Nowhere does it mention they’re another illegal act by the Kenyan usurper, just the implication that Trump is the Grinch and for him, everyday is Christmas. Why do Republicans ever go on CNN, but particularly legitimize this obnoxious piece of liberal trash by appearing on his program and further enabling and rewarding this type of conduct. After Jordan speaks in support of President Trump’s decision to end the illegal subsidies the imposter liar-nObama enacted, Cuomo can almost be seen engaging the propaganda machine between his ears. Always quick to call Republicans by their first name, the dishonest leftist asks, “Jim, why aren’t you saying that the President is acting like an emperor and that his job is to execute laws that are passed, not write his own?” Ya think it’s got anything to do with the fact that he isn’t,  Cuomo?...  https://rickwells.us/jordan-cuomo-obamacare-implosion/

{rickwells.us} ~ Why are Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Department of Justice lawyers arguing in court on behalf of those attempting to railroad President Trump out of office?...  DOJ lawyers have asked a federal judge to block memos written by the corrupt former FBI Director, James Comey, from being released. Comey’s perspective on the issue makes sense, he’s guilty and he wants to limit his exposure to prosecution. The less we know and the less evidence that is available to support a case against him, the better his position. But why is Sessions also taking that same stance, particularly in light of the fact that Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein and the new FBI Director who replaced him, Christopher Wray, are all peas in the same pod of corruption? Did they make room in that pod for one more, the AG himself?... https://rickwells.us/sessions-doj-evidence-comey/

{rickwells.us} ~ Senator Rand Paul, who is also an ophthalmologist, knows from personal experience the details of what makes a good healthcare system work... and what makes a bad one like liar-nObamacare cumbersome, expensive and ineffective. Following the signing by President Trump of his two executive orders on Healthcare, Senator Paul spoke with a reporter and explained what it all means. The explanation he offers of what the reality will be under the new guidelines is nothing like the “end of civilization” hand-wringing of the mainstream media. To hear him explain it everything is an effort to make things better for the American people. Nobody is out to steal insurance from defenseless poor people for the pleasure of watching them suffer as CNN and the rest of the MSM have been reporting. Rather than being heartless ogres, the President’s effort will permit free market competition to lower prices drastically and improve care. Once again getting government out of the way improves function...  https://rickwells.us/rand-paul-trump-obamacare-eos/

{ipatriot.com} ~ As a black proud American, I was repulsed learning that the NAACP sent out a press release accusing Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones of violating his players free speech rights... In a nutshell, Jones told his employees, if you don’t stand for our national anthem, your derriere will ride the bench.  http://bit.ly/2yj2Bxj I say, “Right on bro, it’s about time!” The NAACP is scum, betrayers of its people. THE U.N. & OTHER PLAGUES
by Burt Prelutsky

One of the areas in which President Trump has most disappointed me is his apparent reversal on the United Nations. Years before he even considered entering politics, he dismissed the world body as a wart on the New York landscape. He suggested the U.S. resign from the organization, evict it from these shores, and allow him to buy the property and transform it into a five-star hotel.

Even as recently as last year’s campaign, he called the UN useless and corrupt.  And yet he continues to fund it to the tune of several billion dollars-a-year, addresses its members and even calls upon the world body to act in concert with our interests. Even if he were far more naïve than he is, why on earth would Donald Trump imagine that an organization that represents the collective interests of dictators, Islamists and European socialists, would want to do us any favors?

This is a group, after all, that spends an inordinate amount of time passing resolutions not against North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Syria and Venezuela, but against Israel. Couple that with the fact that China and Russia have veto powers, and you have a recipe for disaster.

Under those circumstances, even our own deliberative body, the U.S. Senate, which, God knows, is filled to the rafters with fools, thieves and mountebanks, doesn’t look quite so bad by comparison.

● When I consider the hypocrisy of liberals, I am filled with despair for the future of this great nation. How can we survive, let alone prosper, when so many millions of us hold groups of thugs such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter and the DNC, in high esteem?

What has become of the Founders’ noble aspirations when Democrats claim to hold the 1st Amendment sacred, but only support free speech when they’re the ones doing the talking; and are ever ready and eager to trample on the religious rights of Christians while promoting those of Muslims?

It doesn’t help that millions of so-called feminists are not so much pro-women as they are anti-male. Otherwise, they would not so fervently support liar-Hillary Clinton, who has spent most of her life aiding and abetting sexual predators, even going back to her early years when, as a young attorney, she crowed about getting a middle-aged client who had raped a child off with a light sentence.

And instead of demonstrating against Donald Trump while wearing silly pink hats that are supposed to represent vaginas, these alleged feminists should be picketing outside the embassies and consulates of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria and all the other Arab and Muslim nations, that promote the subjugation of women.

● Years ago, Carol, the wife of Walter Matthau and the former wife of William Saroyan, was asked to comment about her ex-husband. She said: “Bill loved humanity, but he hated people.”

I not only thought that was one of the pithiest and most profound descriptions of a hypocrite I had ever heard, but that it could serve equally well as an indictment of most liberals.

They pay lip service to Muslims, illegal aliens, so-called indigenous people, urban blacks, campus Nazis, football thugs, homosexuals, transgenders and single women, for no other reason than that they constitute the base of a demonic political party that hates, in no particular order, Christians, white gun owners, black and Hispanic conservatives, Israel, cops, the military, constitutionalists and patriots.

● The failure of Cyrus Vance, New York City’s D.A., to prosecute Harvey Weinstein may not be as bad as the NY Times and NBC spiking decades-old stories about Weinstein’s vile crimes, but it does remind me of something I would do if I somehow found myself in possession of a billion dollars.

As you may recall, in a recent article, I said that if such an enormous sum of money was dropped in my lap, I would dispose of it as quickly as I could, giving a few cash gifts to friends, financing a cure for Alzheimer’s and endowing a pediatric hospital. It slipped my mind, but one other use to which I’d put the money would be to fund the recall elections of those judges who give wrist slaps to rapists and child abusers. Just recently, some demented jurist in Michigan granted parental visitation rights to a twice-convicted rapist who had impregnated a 12-year-old victim.

When judges make those sorts of delusional decisions from the bench, they are telling us far more about their own dementia than they are about the various flaws and failings of the American legal system.

● Sometimes when I see a left-wing politician on Fox trying to debate with Tucker Carlson, I wonder if they go home and watch themselves on TV and wind up banging their head against the wall and wailing: “Why didn’t someone stop me? God, why didn’t you strike me dead or at least break my leg on my way to the studio?”

Just the other night, after Carlson had pointed out that when it comes to the number of murders committed by young black men, a glaring problem that politicians always avoid mentioning is the absence of black fathers in the homes of their children.

The alderman actually said the reason for their absence is that, although blacks only represent 14% of the state’s population, they represent 65% of the prison inmates, and “that’s why the kids don’t have fathers at home providing for their families.”

It sounded so ludicrous, I re-played the exchange a second time to make sure I had heard it right the first time. In other words, it’s all because white society insists on jailing criminals that black children are being deprived of their fathers!

In a way, it was reminiscent of the apocryphal tale of the man who murdered his parents and then threw himself on the mercy of the court because he was now (sniffle, sniffle) an orphan.

● If you recall, one of my readers had written to complain that congressmen could start receiving a pension even if they had only served a year in the House. I let him know I was pretty certain that the minimum requirement was five years.

I’m happy to report I was right. A second subscriber, Ralph Irish, a proud resident of Shelby Township, Michigan, sent me the following information:

“Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at the age of 62 if they have completed at least five years of service. Members are eligible for a pension at age 50 if they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service. The amount of the pension depends on years of service and the average of the highest three years of salary. By law, the starting amount of a Member’s retirement annuity may not exceed 80% of his or her final salary.”

But as I remarked earlier, if after five years on the job, they haven’t gotten rich through cash bribes or insider trading on the stock market, they really haven’t been trying.

● I am all for a strong military and a Pentagon budget equal to its actual needs in a very dangerous world, but when I hear that we currently have 180,000 troops stationed in 140 nations, which works out to an average of 1,286 troops per country, I can’t help wondering what possible good they’re doing. I mean, aside from propping up 140 foreign economies with our tax dollars.

● Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to say farewell to a man who was a friend of mine for nearly 50 years. I refer to Merrill Heatter, who was the creator and co-producer of a score of TV game shows, including “Gambit,” “High Roller” and “Hollywood Squares.”

And just in case some of you old-timers are curious, Gabriel Heatter was Merrill’s uncle, not his father.

“Hollywood Squares” was so successful that for a long time, it not only ran five days a week, but was also a nighttime hit. It was essentially tic-tac-toe, but inside the nine boxes was a mix of different minor celebrities. While Paul Lynde, Cliff Arquette under the persona of the rustic Charley Weaver, Rose Marie and Wally Cox, were generally in attendance, they would be augmented by the likes of Jim Backus, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Kaye Ballard, Morey Amsterdam, Abby Dalton, Marty Allen, Charo, Soupy Sales, Mike Connors and Judy Carne, while Peter Marshall, Joanne Dru’s brother in real life, held forth as the affable host.

What made the show the long-lasting hit it was were the funny, often risqué, lines the celebrities would ad lib. But as was the case with Groucho Marx’s quiz show, “You Bet Your Life,” those lines were ad-libbed only in the sense that Hamlet’s soliloquy was ad-libbed. In the one case, William Shakespeare was the source. In the case of “Hollywood Squares,” the lines were usually the work of my madcap friend, Merrill Heatter.

One day, when I asked Merrill which of the Q's and A’s he had come up he thought were the funniest, he gave me the following three.

“Once, Marty Allen was asked what a person from Philadelphia was most likely to dip his pretzel in, and, instead of mustard, said: A girl from New Jersey.”

“Paul Lynde, when asked if anything could bring a monkey to tears, said: Learning that Tarzan swings both ways.”

“And once, in response to the line that, according to archaeologists, a pea can last 5,000 years, George Gobel said: Sometimes it sure seems that way.”

If up until now there have not been any game shows in Heaven, I have a feeling all of that is about to change.

{rickwells.us} ~ As time goes by President Trump is learning who his friends are and so are the American people. Undoubtedly there are more... but nineteen of them have acted in his interest and that of America in attempting to rein in the rogue “investigation of everything based upon evidence of nothing,” the Mueller Russia witch hunt. On Friday, nineteen members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to the chairmen of both the House and Senate Judiciary Committees asking for hearings into the Mueller probe. They cited its lack of oversight, ever-expanding scope and conflicts of interest as just some of the serious problems that justify such an action. The letter, sent to Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Rep Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), seeks congressional hearings to keep special counsel Robert Mueller and his team of ravenous anti-Trump, political hack lawyers accountable. Some might argue to make them accountable or remind them of and restricting them to their supposed mission would be a more accurate, albeit less politically friendly way of putting it...  https://rickwells.us/19-congressmen-hearings-mueller/

In the new "reconciliation" agreement between Hamas and Fatah,
all that Hamas is being asked to do is to allow the Palestinian
Authority government to manage civilian affairs in the Gaza Strip
by Bassam Tawil
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Buoyed by the "reconciliation" agreement reached with President Mahmoud Abbas's Palestinian Authority (PA), Hamas has announced that it seeks to unite all Palestinians in the fight against the "Zionist enterprise."... In other words, Hamas views the agreement as a vehicle for rallying Palestinians behind it toward achieving its longtime goal of destroying Israel. When Hamas talks about the "Zionist enterprise," it is referring to the establishment of Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. Hamas is not only opposed to the existence of Israel on what it and most Muslims perceive as "Muslim-owned" land; it reiterates, at every opportunity, its desire to annihilate Israel. Those who think that the new "reconciliation" accord will have a moderating effect of Hamas are both blind and deaf to what Hamas itself has been stating both before and after the agreement. One has to give Hamas credit for being clear, honest and consistent about its goal of destroying Israel...   https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11169/palestinians-unity

They figured the crown jewel of liar-nObama’s socialist agenda was safe... But they never expected Donald Trump to pull off one of the most shocking moves of his Presidency. Trump will sign an executive order that allows individuals to purchase insurance plans across states lines, as well as pool together to buy cheaper plans that aren’t burdened by liar-nObamacare’s mandates and regulations...  http://www.americanpatriotdaily.com/featured/obama-devastated-trump/

SCIENCE VS. RELIGION
by Burt Prelutsky

In a speech delivered by Michael Ward, a professor at Houston Baptist University, he made some salient points in the ongoing feud between science and religion.

He said: “Religion tends to get a bad rap these days, and from two directions. On the one hand, we hear people say that they’re spiritual, not religious; meaning they’re not interested in religiosity, by which they mean ritualism, the externals of faith. On the other hand, some people take ‘religion’ to mean superstition, even fanaticism, as when Richard Dawkins said that ‘religion flies planes into buildings, but science flies rockets to the moon.’

“That is one of the most fatuous things I’ve ever heard said by an Oxford professor,” Professor Ward reported. “Why is it fatuous? Firstly, because religion and science -- being abstract nouns, not people -- don’t actually do anything, good or bad; they’re not agents. And secondly because, if we’re going to play that game of assigning agency to abstract nouns, one might just as well say ‘Religion gives us Mother Teresa, but science gives us mustard gas.’”

● On a similar note, it has been said that Heaven has a gate, a wall and very extreme vetting. Does that make God a racist?

● I have often suggested that college is America’s biggest con game. Partly that’s because it is terribly expensive, although there’s no reason for it to be. After all, the only essential elements are rooms with chairs, textbooks, notebooks and teachers. All are relatively cheap items; it’s only the absurd markup done solely at the discretion of interested parties that prices the four years beyond the means of the middleclass.

It is the college, itself, that adds the unnecessary costs, rather like politicians determining their own salaries. For openers, there are the sports programs.  Although it is argued that football and basketball not only pay for themselves and the enormous salaries doled out to coaches, but also cover, at least in some cases, the other athletic activities. The question is why such activities need to be subsidized by the college.

Young people have plenty of public parks and swimming pools accessible to those who wish to play golf, volleyball, baseball, etc., when they’re not in class or doing homework.

There is also no reason for the colleges to keep an army of gardeners on hand to maintain the landscape. These same young people have attended grade schools, middle schools and high schools for a dozen years, and never complained about their surroundings. Suddenly, at the age of 18, they require expansive lawns, shade trees and picnic areas? What’s that all about?

Also, why do professors require six-figure salaries. Most of them only teach a few classes for a few hours a week, spending the rest of their time working on research and writing books that will augment their income. Why are they being paid three or four or five times what middle school teachers are making. At least in middle school, the students are learning something that, ideally, provides a stepping stone to the next level of education.

That brings me to the biggest con of all. Colleges force parents and students to go into debt, but they offer a plethora of classes that will not prepare the graduates to make a living, which, in turn, would allow them to repay their debts.

Academics pretend that college is an end in itself, and that a college degree provides an Open Sesame to the wonders and riches of the world. What it actually provides is a bunch of brainless, gutless, college administrators, and professors who are better suited to be crossing guards than educators, with large salaries and fat pensions.

If you graduate from college and go on to become a lawyer, a doctor, an accountant, a physicist, an engineer or a computer programmer, there is a good chance, you will be able to find a job. However, if after four years and a mountain of debt, you majored in Black Studies, Hispanic Studies, Lesbian Studies, Sociology, Sexology or Literature, you are no more employable than you were when you left grammar school.

There’s no law that says you can’t study all that other stuff on your own. That’s why there are libraries and computers.

But, if nothing else is learned during those pricey four years, if the young graduate hasn’t grasped that the only diversity that really matters isn’t that of race, religion, class or gender, but ideas, he is even more ignorant than he used to be; and if he doesn’t understand that with equal rights come equal responsibilities, it’s safe to say his career opportunities are limited to politics, social work and show biz.

You may have noticed I didn’t mention that after four years, the youngster would not only be unemployable, but will have been propagandized in leftwing ideology to such a degree he will almost certainly despise America, the Founding Fathers, Christianity, Judaism, capitalism, Israel, his conservative parents and relatives, and will have had his critical judgment, along with his sense of humor, surgically removed.

The reason I didn’t mention any of that stuff was because I didn’t wish to appear to be piling on. But, as you see, I changed my mind.

● Why do I still have to keep remembering various passwords in order to use my computer? If the State Department, the Pentagon, YouTube and Equifax, can’t protect their data, what chance do I have with my silly six-letter two-number code?

● Because my wife and I have done it, I fully understand the desire to donate money to hurricane victims to help them rebuild their homes and their lives.  However, I’m a little vague on the motivation to send money to the victims of major massacres.

I mean, why were millions of dollars sent to the survivors of 9/11 and the recent rampage in Vegas? Every day, your local newspaper reports that one or more families in your own town has lost a loved one to a murderer, but nobody, I’m willing to wager, sits down and writes a check to the family of strangers.

It’s not that I objected to people sending money to the survivors of 9/11, even though most of them collected on life insurance policies, it’s just that it struck me as odd. Particularly as there hadn’t been a similar outpouring of money to the survivors of Timothy McVeigh’s Oklahoma City bombing.

On the other hand, I think that it behooves those of us who spent eight years resenting Barack liar-nObama, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, for, among many other things, showing such obvious contempt for law enforcement, to send a letter or card to the local police department, expressing our gratitude for the job they do.

We all know cops don’t get paid nearly as much as those generally useless academic twerps residing in their well-furnished ivory towers, but it would help if they at least understood that most of us who are not affiliated with the Black Lives Matter movement, Antifa and the Democratic Party, appreciate them.

● Frankly, I hope Homeland Security is doing a better job of vetting the immigrants than Trump has done vetting the members of his administration.

Speaking of which, I recently expressed the wish that Donald Trump would replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions with Rudy Giuliani. Just in case, the President is paying attention, I would also like to see him replace Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with Newt Gingrich, John Bolton, Steve Bannon or possibly even a coatrack.

● An editor named George Lorimer once wisely observed: “It’s good to have money and the things that money can buy; but it’s good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure you haven’t lost the things that money can’t buy.”

● I have no doubt that some of you have noticed that I will often refer in articles to thoughts I’ve shared with you in our email exchanges. In a way, you all served as collaborators because it was something you brought up that triggered a response in me. If I decide that particular something might be of general interest, I’ll generally find a place for it in a future article. I just wanted to express my thanks for your contribution to my content.

● As you’re well aware, thanks to the little notices that have lately been appearing at the bottom of my articles, I am due to give a talk on the 19th of October. The one thing I can predict is that my favorite part of the evening will be the Q & A session that will conclude the event. For one thing, once a question is asked, I know that at least one person in the room is interested in what I have to say. For another, it’s the one time all evening I’m likely to surprise myself by saying something I hadn’t anticipated.

Unfortunately, I can also predict that most people won’t ask their question during the allotted time. Instead, no matter how much I coax them to ask me anything that might be preying on their minds, the majority will just sit there, staring blankly as if waiting for a bus, just waiting for me to descend from the podium. At which point, a dozen or more will get between me and the exit, eager to ply me with questions, the answers to which they believe only they will be privy.

Little do they realize that if I come up with anything even slightly interesting, I will be sharing it with the world.

Waste not, want not, is more than an expression for a writer.  It’s a way of life.

Trump's EO Injects Competition Into liar-nObamaCare
by Political Editors:  On Thursday, President Donald Trump bypassed a weak-kneed Republican Congress and began rolling back liar-nObamaCare with an executive order that injects free market measures into the law. As he signed the order, Trump said, “So this is promoting health care, choice and competition all across the United States. This is going to be something that millions and millions of people will be signing up for and they’re going to be very happy. This will be great health care.” Trump declared that this was the first step in “providing millions of Americans with liar-nObamaCare relief.”

So what does Trump’s executive order accomplish? Primarily, it directs the secretary of labor to consider expanding access to Association Health Plans. This would allow employers the freedom to form groups which offer coverage across state lines. “Insurance companies will be fighting to get every single person signed up,” Trump stated, adding, “And you will hopefully be negotiating, negotiating, negotiating. And you’ll get such low prices for such great care.
Another impact of this order would be that those “association health plans” could be immune from some state and federal insurance requirements. At the same time employers would not be free to exclude employees from their plans based on preexisting conditions, nor charge more to those employees with long-term health issues.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a leading critic of the “Affordable” Care Act, called Trump’s order “the biggest free market reform of health care in a generation.” Paul also stated, “This reform, if it works and goes as planned, will allow millions of people to get insurance across state lines at an inexpensive price.” Indeed, as news continues to come out of more and more insurance companies pulling out of various state-backed liar-nObamaCare exchanges, this is welcome news.
A final note: Trump tweeted yesterday, “Since Congress can’t get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people — FAST.” That “pen” part sounds eerily like Barack liar-nObama, but Trump’s action is substantially different. While Democrats, who controlled Congress at the time liar-nObamaCare passed, deliberately left a lot of the law’s details to be worked out by the administration, Trump is now wielding that same power to undo some of the damage. Live by the pen, die by the pen.

Mad-Maxine Waters Compares Ben Carson To Trump – Supposed To Have A Commie At HUD
{rickwells.us} ~ Dr. Ben Carson received a backhanded, completely unintentional acknowledgment of a job well done from communist Democrat Mad-Maxine Waters... who is upset that he’s not giving away enough of other people’s tax dollars to provide for the lazy who have their butts cemented to a particular neighborhood. They are unwilling to relocate to go to work and that will remain the case as long as HUD provides them with a home that someone else is paying for, which is precisely what she’s demanding more of. They grew up in this Democrat neighborhood, they get free stuff and have plenty of time on their hands. It’s the new American dream. Mad-Waters read the statement someone else surely wrote for her, saying, “In the face of the immense housing needs in our country, President Trump chose Dr. Ben Carson to serve as the head of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.”...  https://rickwells.us/maxine-waters-carson-trump-hud/

Rep Meadows – Eject Duds In
Congress Who Don’t Stand With Trump
{rickwells.us} ~ House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep Mark Meadows (R-NC) knows a thing or two about sending someone packing... It was his motion to “vacate the chair” that eventually led to the retirement of former Speaker John backstabber-Boehner. Meadows spoke at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. and had some similar advice for those in attendance and across America. He may or may not have been speaking of the current enemy within who fills that position, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), but he, like the rest of Trump supporters, probably wouldn’t be opposed to the idea. But his message of replacing those who are not functioning properly applied to the entire Congress, House and Senate. He points out how under President Trump, “More regulations have been rolled back, substantial regulations have been rolled back in the first nine months of his Presidency than any in modern times.” He asks, “But we need to help him, don’t you think? Don’t you think it’s time Congress quits talking and they start doing? Isn’t it time?”...  https://rickwells.us/meadows-eject-duds-congress-trump/

Writer of Trump’s Russia dossier
slapped with congressional subpoena
by Dan Boylan
{washingtontimes.com} ~ The Republican chairman of the House intelligence committee has subpoenaed the head of the Washington firm that commissioned the sensational anti-Trump campaign research dossier... adding fresh intensity to the behind-the-scenes scramble among lawmakers to grasp how the infamous document fits into the Russian election meddling investigation. The subpoena issued for Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson comes as special counsel Robert Mueller’s separate investigation interviewed the former British spy, Christopher Steele, who worked with Mr. Simpson in compiling the dossier of negative intelligence on Mr. Trump. The CIA and FBI saw the dossier’s allegations as so sensational and sensitive last year that they excluded any mention of it from the intelligence community’s highly publicized accusations back in January about Russian meddling in the 2016 election...  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/oct/11/trump-dossier-leads-to-subpoena-of-firm-that-put-i/

Journo grills liar-Clinton for
‘still blaming others more than yourself’
by Chris Enloe
{theblaze.com} ~ While on a tour promoting her new book about her failed presidential campaign, liar-Hillary Clinton was grilled by British journalist Matt Frei... for continuing to lay blame on others for her loss to Donald Trump last November. Frei also debunked liar-Clinton’s claim that her gender played a role in her loss, telling liar-Clinton that voters more weighed who she is versus which genitals she was born with. “Your dynastic appeal or perhaps it was the opposite: The fact that you were called liar-Clinton, the fact that you were first lady basically trumped any novelty — if you forgive the term — of being the first female president of the United States. People looked at your name and your legacy more than they looked at your gender,” Frei said...  http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/10/14/journo-grills-clinton-for-still-blaming-others-more-than-yourself-her-response-speaks-volumes

The Culture of Death—and of Disdain
by Peggy Noonan

{peggynoonan.com} ~ When news broke at Christmastime five years ago of what had happened at Newtown a friend, a news anchor, called and said with a broken voice: “What is the word for what we feel?” I thought for a moment. “Shattered,” I said. “We are shattered, all of us.” When people in ensuing days spoke of what had been done to the little children in the classrooms, I’d put up my hands and say no, we can’t keep putting those words in the air, we can’t afford it. When terrible images enter our heads and settle in, they become too real, and what is real is soon, by the unstable, imitated, repeated.

When Columbine happened in the spring of 1999, it hit me like a wave of sickness. I wrote a piece about the culture of death that produced the teenage shooters: “Think of it this way. Your child is an intelligent little fish. He swims in deep water. Waves of sound and sight, of thought and fact, come invisibly through that water, like radar. . . . The sound from the television is a wave, and the sound from the radio; the headlines on the newsstand, on the magazines, on the ad on the bus as it whizzes by—all are waves. The fish—your child—is bombarded and barely knows it. But the waves contain words like this, which I’ll limit to only one source, the news:

“. . . was found strangled and is believed to have been sexually molested . . . had her breast implants removed . . . took the stand to say the killer was smiling the day the show aired . . . said the procedure is, in fact, legal infanticide . . . is thought to be connected to earlier sexual activity among teens . . . court battle over who owns the frozen sperm . . . contains songs that call for dominating and even imprisoning women . . . died of lethal injection . . . had threatened to kill her children . . . had asked Kevorkian for help in killing himself . . . protested the game, which they said has gone beyond violence to sadism . . . showed no remorse . . . which is about a wager over whether he could sleep with another student . . .

“This is the ocean in which our children swim. This is the sound of our culture. It comes from all parts of our culture and reaches all parts of our culture, and all the people in it, which is everybody.”

We were bringing up our children in an unwell atmosphere. It would enter and distort them. Could we turn this around?

And here is the horror for me of Las Vegas: I was not shattered. That shatters me.

It was just another terrible story. It is not the new normal it is the new abnormal and deep down we know it’s not going to stop. There is too much instability in our country, too much rage and lovelessness, too many weapons.

On television, the terrible sameness. We all know the postmassacre drill now. The shocked witness knows exactly what the anchor needs and speaks in rounded, 20-second bursts. Activists have their bullet-point arguments ready because they used them last time and then saved them in a file called “Aurora,” “Virginia Tech” or “Giffords, Gabby.”

We are stuck, the debate frozen. The right honestly doesn’t understand why the left keeps insisting on reforms that won’t help. The left honestly doesn’t understand how much yearning there is among so many conservatives to do something, try something, make it better. They don’t want their kids growing up in a world where madmen have guns that shoot nine rounds a second. Many this week at least agreed bump stocks can be banned. It probably won’t help much. But if it helps just a little, for God’s sake, do it.

But: Why do so many Americans have guns? I don’t mean those who like to hunt and shoot or live far out and need protection. I don’t mean those who’ve been handed down the guns of their grandfather or father. Why do a significant number of Americans have so many guns?

Wouldn’t it help if we thought about that?

I think a lot of Americans have guns because they’re fearful—and for damn good reason. They fear a coming chaos, and know that when it happens it will be coming to a nation that no longer coheres. They think it’s all collapsing—our society, our culture, the baseline competence of our leadership class. They see the cultural infrastructure giving way—illegitimacy, abused children, neglect, racial tensions, kids on opioids staring at screens—and, unlike their cultural superiors, they understand the implications.

They won’t go down without a fight.

Americans have so many guns because drug gangs roam the streets, because they have less trust in their neighbors, because they read Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road.” Because all of their personal and financial information got hacked in the latest breach, because our country’s real overlords are in Silicon Valley and appear to be moral Martians who operate on some weird new postmodern ethical wavelength. And they’ll be the ones programming the robots that’ll soon take all the jobs! Maybe the robots will all look like Mark Zuckerberg, like those eyeless busts of Roman Emperors. Our leaders don’t even think about this technological revolution. They’re too busy with transgender rights.

Americans have so many guns because they know the water their children swim in hasn’t gotten cleaner since Columbine, but more polluted and lethal.

The establishments and elites that create our political and entertainment culture have no idea how fragile it all is—how fragile it seems to people living normal, less privileged lives. That is because nothing is fragile for them. They’re barricaded behind the things the influential have, from good neighborhoods to security alarms, doormen and gates. They’re not dark in their imagining of the future because history has never been dark for them; it’s been sunshine, which they expect to continue. They sail on, oblivious to the legitimate anxieties of their countrymen who live near the edge.

Those who create our culture feel free to lecture normal Americans—on news shows, on late night comedy shows. Why do they have such a propensity for violence? What is their love for guns? Why do they join the National Rifle Association? The influential grind away with their disdain for their fellow Americans, whom they seem less to want to help than to dominate: Give up your gun, bake my cake, free speech isn’t free if what you’re saying triggers us.

Would it help if we tried less censure and more cultural affiliation? Might it help if we started working on problems that are real? Sure. But why lower the temperature when there’s such easy pleasure to be had in ridiculing your mindless and benighted countrymen?
