Secrets and Lies: Three Russian Stories

Secrets and Lies: Three Russian Stories

The major developing stories this week have been so scantily and poorly covered in the mainstream press that you may want an easy primer. To fully understand it you have to look at alternative media, because just as Harvey Weinstein counted on complicit enablers -- his colleagues, victims and the press -- Hillary Clinton, Robert Mueller and a cast of characters, including a press determined to cover for them have hidden what occurred. It’s taken some time, to be sure, but the evidence of their wrongdoing is becoming harder and harder to hide. Stalling and misdirection are their last redoubt.

WHO:

Here are some of the principal figures:

Robert Mueller. Former head of the FBI and now special counsel purportedly investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians to win the election.

Andrew McCabe, appointed by former president Obama, was Assistant FBI Director in charge of investigating charges by the FBI’s own underground informant to the effect that the Russians, engaged in bribery to obtain uranium supplies in the U.S. His wife received nearly half a million dollars from Hillary Clinton buddy Terry McAuliffe for her 2015 Virginia state senate campaign which he had not disclosed to the Department nor sought clearance for from its ethics office. Presently he is the deputy attorney director of the FBI and is himself under investigation by the Justice department inspector general respecting this contribution.

The unnamed FBI undercover informant, represented by criminal attorney Victoria Toensing, was witness to the scheming, kickbacks and corruption in the Russian effort to obtain 20% of U.S. uranium supplies held by Canadian-based Uranium One. He reported to his bosses at the FBI -- which is to say McCabe and Mueller -- prior to the October 2010 approval of the sale to Uranium One. He says Lynch has threatened him with criminal prosecution if he reveals what he knows to Congress. Senator Grassley has asked present Attorney General Jeff Sessions to waive the nondisclosure agreement -- which appears in any event to be untoward and unconstitutional -- so he can tell the Senate Judiciary Commi

WATCH: It Looks Like The NBA’s Going To Follow The NFL’s, ‘Crap On America’, Lead

SHARES

Was there ever any doubt this was coming eventually?

The NFL has decided to pander to their protesting primadonna players… fanbase be damned.

It’s such a great plan that on Game Day, the TV announcers will soon be able to address each of their viewers … by name.

But why should the NFL be the only ones in the center of a controversy? Why wouldn’t the NBA jump in too?

At the Brooklyn Nets home game, Justine Skye continued the ‘take a knee’ protest.

League rules require the players to stand. (But doesn’t say they can’t ‘lock arms’, which they did.)

During the home opener for NBA’s Brooklyn Nets on Friday, Skye took to her knee after she finished singing the national anthem.
Posting a video of the performance on her Instagram, she said: ‘Got a bit shaky at the end.. was pretty uneasy about singing the anthem and probably won’t ever be invited to sing it again but I had to take a knee for the opening game in my city and let my voice be heard. We will not be silenced ✊ #blacklivesmatter.’

There’s a shirt that aptly describes the NFL — No Fans Left.

Buy yours now at Keep and Bear.

NFL’s TV ratings are plummeting as more players refuse to stand for the national anthem. It’s hard to believe that a nation that has given these players the opportunity to achieve so much is so easily disrespected. Even worse, consider the men and women who have laid down their lives so that these athletes could live in a relatively safe country and enjoy their fame and fortune.

Hard-working, patriotic Americans don’t want to watch a bunch of whiners play football. They want to watch winners.

And the best part? This shirt is made in the USA, printed in the USA, on an American-Made t-shirt press!

*** VETERAN OPERATED ***

Does your grandpa go off on paltry politicians, whether they be Democrats or Republicans? Does he get misty eyed when he talks about God and Country and America’s future? And have you ever heard him scream, ‘Awww … Hell no!’ when Rosie O’Donnell starts yapping on television? If you answered yes to one, or all of the above, then your gramps will love Doug Giles’ latest book, My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass.

Don’t be fooled by the title — this ain’t just for Grandpa.
The Snowflake Generation — and the rest of America — needs a good ol’ dose of ‘Grandpa wisdom’.
Especially if that Grandpa is Doug Giles.
You’ll love My Grandpa Is A Patriotic Badass just as much as Grandpa will.
Share if the NBA is going to have to pick a side on this issue. Before thier ratings also crater.

{rickwells.us} ~ Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch walks silently down a small hallway as she ignores questions from Catherine Herridge about her complicity in the cover up and obstruction of justice in the liar-Hillary Clinton email case... She’s asked, “Attorney General Lynch, can you address any of the issues raised by Director Comey during his testimony in May before the Senate Intelligence Committee?” There was no response, as was likely the case inside the hearings as well. She’s noted for dodging questions and simply just refusing to answer. Lynch is above communicating with the slave class. Herridge plays video of some of the allegations made by Comey, although he’s at least as dirty as Lynch is and likely, as hard as it is to believe, more so. New information of his conspiracy with Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein and others to bury evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the liar-Clintons in a pay for play scandal is coming to light... https://rickwells.us/lynch-collusion-rosenstein-mueller/

{freebeacon.com} ~ The House Intelligence Committee has started asking federal agencies about the liar-nObama administration's approval of a Russian acquisition of a large uranium mine... a deal that is now under new scrutiny amid revelations about a sweeping Russian bribery scheme from an FBI informant. The panel so far is only making "preliminary inquiries" and has not launched a formal, full-scale investigation, according to a knowledgeable GOP source. Information from the FBI informant and court documents about a criminal investigation and prosecution of Russian officials for bribery—and whether key U.S. government agencies knew about the probe—are raising new questions about the uranium deal and whether the United States should have approved it... http://freebeacon.com/national-security/house-intelligence-panel-reviewing-uranium-one-deal-amid-new-evidence-russian-bribery/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=55ddabeebb-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_10_20&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-55ddabeebb-45611665

Will We Ever Get the Trump Tax Cuts?
50CWR2ISYg4swKVxh-N-KDUPiuKL9ZwiC8nNDhqOuFqfMftlb6iMfCIWbdSm4hquCvaEfWK1hUWCe5iC6e0vCCEbA3FNefjFplCc3mxtUZwTFdbP83evbxJt6KDpVa0=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Michael Swartz:  As conservatives are painfully aware, the GOP congressional majority has thoroughly botched its top agenda item of repealing liar-nObamaCare. The horrendous law has just enough popular giveaways to leave “moderate” Republicans in both chambers short on backbone and fearful of a ballot-box backlash next year.

But an even longer-standing maxim for the Grand Old Party is that of reducing taxes in the belief that lower tax rates will bring more economic activity and prosperity while actually increasing the government’s take. It worked for Ronald Reagan in the early 1980s and, to a lesser extent, for George W. Bush a decade and a half ago. (Alas, government also increased its spending of this newfound revenue so quickly that deficits increased, but that’s a story for another time.) Just like favoring entitlement spending that’s “free” money to the recipient, it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t think a little more in their pocket is a good thing — so tax cuts are always an easy sell. Democrats, however, relish the role of making people jealous over who else gets the money.
Donald Trump won his presidency by, among other things, promising to cut taxes and simplify the tax code. But given the record of this Congress, he also must have felt a booster shot at the bully pulpit was needed, and the Heritage Foundation was happy to lend him its platform.
“At the heart of our plans is a tax cut for everyday working Americans,” said the president. And if his “once-in-a-generation opportunity to revitalize the economy” through tax cuts is realized in full, Trump vowed, “We will lift our people from welfare to work, from dependence to independence, and from poverty to total beautiful prosperity.
That all sounds great, but a lot of sausage must first be made, and it’s not going to be a pretty process. There’s no doubt that Democrats who have already ratcheted up their age-old mantra of “tax cuts for the rich” aren’t going to hand Trump a victory, so the ball will once again be squarely in the court of a handful of Senate Republicans least likely to get with the program.
The Senate did manage to pass a budget Thursday night in the first step toward tax reform. “Tonight, we completed the first step toward replacing our broken tax code,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said. “We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to replace a failing tax code that holds Americans back with one that actually works for them.
As far as policy goes, on the one side, we already hear shouts from the sidelines about putting more emphasis on the corporate tax cuts or responding to the Democrats’ tired mantra by conceding that they may be right: “Neither the economic nor the moral arguments (for cutting the top tax rates) are compelling,” argues Ramesh Ponnuru in National Review. Unfortunately, people don’t react as well at the voting booth to corporate tax cuts unless they’re an ancillary benefit to their own pocketbooks — nor do they really care that the more well-off get more money back because they put more money into the system. (Second only to the race card in the Democrats’ hierarchy is the class envy card.)
And simplifying the system will be a mean feat as well, given that so many special interests have carved out their own goodies from the fatted calf that is the American taxpayer. Case in point: Realtors are whining that an enhanced standard deduction, a major feature of the initial Trump plan, will obviate the need for people to deduct their mortgage interest and thus “nullify the incentive” to buy a house. As many middle-class taxpayers can likely attest, there have been times where having this deduction helped lower the bill or increase the refund, but raising the standard deduction to nearly double its current level would have done a lot more good. Multiply that by the overt or covert persuasion of a thousand other businesses — for example, do you think H&R Block is interested in an easier tax system? — and you can see why this will be a struggle perhaps even more so than the failed repeal of liar-nObamaCare.
Yet the stakes are high, and not just politically, as The Wall Street Journal’s James Freeman writes. “American workers are still living in an on-the-one-hand, on-the-other economy, rather than a booming economy. They need a policy change in Washington that emphasizes expanding opportunity over wealth redistribution.” With $3 trillion in assets waiting to be brought back to our shores — another point Trump made in his Heritage speech — the American economy would get a powerful shot in the arm. And if better days arrive prior to the 2018 election, those dire predictions of a Republican electoral bloodbath may be about as useful as selling short in this bull market.
But taxation’s “power to destroy” is what Washington insiders live for — which is why draining the swamp will help the rest of us keep more of what we earn.

A VILE VAT OF VILLAINS
by Burt Prelutsky

As bad as Chuck clown-Schumer, Nancy Pulosi and Bernie Sanders, are, they would hardly make the list of the top 100 villains running around loose these days.

Take the U.N. Please. Even if their major mission in life wasn’t to destroy America’s sovereignty and to promote its own globalist agenda, they would be near the top of the list because for decades the so-called peace-keeping forces of the U.N., you know the guys in the blue helmets, have been raping children in Africa and Haiti and operating the largest sex-slave ring in the world.

The U.N. uses a dove as its symbol; the creeps should use a vulture.

● No list of villains would be complete without liar-Hillary Clinton.  It’s bad enough that she ran for president on a platform that consisted almost entirely of her reminding voters that she was a female. Worse yet is that she has pretended to be the champion of women in spite of the fact that, as Tucker Carlson has labeled her, she has acted as the Enabler-in-Chief.

After all, she has spent the last several decades providing cover for the likes of liar-Bill Clinton, Anthony Wiener and Harvey Weinstein, three little pigs who, between them, have committed just about every sexual offense, except for bestiality, and even that might be explained by the fact that sheep can’t testify.

Moreover, although Mrs. liar-Clinton has insisted that, along with Russia, Macedonia, Wikileaks, James Comey and sunspots, misogyny played a crucial role in her defeat, she has displayed her own indifference to the plight of women by not only accepting bribes from Saudi Arabia, but by never uttering a word of condemnation regarding the Islamic subjugation of women.

● No list of villains would be complete with those parents who, as Stephen Hanover pointed out in a recent email, nearly yank the arms off their two and three-year-old boys and curse them out in public for the unforgivable crime of behaving like, well, two and three-year-old boys.

Whenever I witness the brutality committed in a department store or a supermarket, I always find myself wondering if I am seeing the making of a future sociopathic killer or just a run-of-the-mill schoolyard bully.

● I would love to know how many Democrats have come down with a low-grade fever or a case of the vapors over the decline and fall of Harvey Weinstein. How they must wish that he had been a Republican or had at least kept a lower profile so that we wouldn’t all be seeing pictures of him being embraced by the liar-Clintons, Chuck clown-Schumer and the liar-nObamas.

However, as one of my subscribers, who prefers to be identified as Citizen X, has pointed out, what did the women who went to Weinstein’s hotel room think was likely to take place? Business meetings take place in offices; money business takes place in hotel rooms.

The same could be said about all the actresses who were brutalized by Bill Cosby.  Didn’t they even wonder why their agents weren’t invited?

Or, for that matter, what did the young woman who showed up in Mike Tyson’s hotel room at midnight expect? That they would spend the wee hours discussing the philosophical nuances of Schopenhauer?

Just for the record, one of the major motivations for guys to become movie producers, directors and actors, in the first place is because of the endless stream of young, attractive women who make themselves available to them. Of course, as with most generalizations, that’s not true of all of them. But that’s because a certain percentage are homosexuals.

● Something I’m at a loss to explain are those things that go viral on the internet and always arrive in my in-box as over-hyped as most movies. For instance, the other day a photoshopped picture of RINO-John McCain, Barack liar-nObama and Chuck clown-Schumer, showed up with the three of them looking like the Three Stooges.

At best, I would have said it was cute or slightly amusing. But whoever sent it out labeled it PRICELESS!!! Isn’t it high time that people stopped claiming that some photo is the best one ever taken and that a run-of-the-mill cartoon was the funniest of all time?

● Not only is the so-called Iran nuclear deal not a treaty -- which it isn’t simply because Barack liar-nObama knew that he could never even have convinced the Democrats in the Senate to pass it -- but as Bob Altom recently pointed out, Iran never signed the damn thing. The mullahs were simply overjoyed to accept the $1.5 billion bribe liar-nObama gave them in exchange for having their photos taken while sitting at the table with hanoi-John Kerry.

When President Trump referred to it as the worst deal in American history, he was, for once, guilty of understatement. It was the worst deal in world history.

● In case you ever find yourself wondering why cities run by liberal mayors always appear to be tottering on the edge of bankruptcy, wonder no longer.

It was recently reported that Mayor Bill de Blasio paid out $2 billion in overtime to city employees. It explains why one in four of those employees is taking home in excess of $100,000-a-year. When you discover that, on occasion, overtime can run as high as $135-an-hour, you have to wonder why three out of four city employees aren’t pulling down those six-figure salaries.

● For decades, radio talk show host Dennis Prager has been asking people who they would rescue if the choice came down to a stranger or their dog. Because he is very religious, as he incessantly reminds his listening audience, he always faults those who say they would rescue their dog and let the stranger drown. Because man is made in the image of God, Prager insists we should let our dogs die. To which I say: Prager is a dodo.

He’s certainly free to rescue whomever he likes, but, for one thing, the set-up is fraudulent. What if the stranger were Hitler or Stalin or Pol Pot or Castro, all presumably made in God's image? Surely, the moral imperative would be to make certain we drown them if the opportunity presented itself.

But what if the stranger weren’t a famous barbarian? What if he merely had a shaved head and was covered in tattoos indicating a symbiotic relationship with Satan or the Ku Klux Klan? Am I still expected to save him and let Whiskers or Duke or Angel drown?

Also, unless one has his head stuck so far up his behind he could remove his own appendix with his teeth, what about the responsibility a person accepts when he takes a puppy into his home and his heart? Just because the bundle of joy has a tail and four legs, is the relationship really all that different from adopting a baby?

When all is said and done, I’ll let Prager rescue Harvey Weinstein. I’ll rescue Harvey Weinstein’s dog.

Illegal Minor Gets Abortion Rights Even Americans Don't Have
BEool-XaxN6QnBQISM4ZpIDhFIRPfOGj0kSlV1vArSUwTATMPKDR3neEWQjCDnkQ9v7-fqo4WSJyCrizF7Vv7SiCRTap-vbkQsYDS1Ow6YYWWPx8oSmnN_25Hyxbhfw=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Jordan Candler:  Oregon lawmakers aren’t the only ones promoting taxpayer-subsidized death for illegals looking to abort their babies. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan is trying to set an incredibly dangerous precedent in Texas and elsewhere by insisting that illegal immigrant minors can terminate pregnancies at their own discretion and, even worse, at taxpayers’ expense. The baffling ruling was handed down this week in a case involving a 17-year-old minor who entered the U.S. last month and is currently situated in an Office of Refugee Resettlement shelter.

According to Judge Chutkan, “Despite the fact that she’s in this country illegally, she still has constitutional rights.” The judge also claimed: “Plaintiff … will suffer irreparable injury in the form of, at a minimum, increased risk to her health, and perhaps the permanent inability to obtain a desired abortion to which she is legally entitled.” And in a direct effort at stifling the opposition, she exhorted: “Failure to comply with the terms of this Order may result in a finding of contempt.
According to The Washington Post, “Late Wednesday, however, the Justice Department appealed the case, asking the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to stay District Judge Tanya Chutkan’s ruling.” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton countered Judge Chutkan’s ruling by noting, “No federal court has ever declared that unlawfully-present aliens with no substantial ties to this country have a constitutional right to abortion on demand. If ‘Doe’ prevails in this case, the ruling will create a right to abortion for anyone on earth who enters the U.S. illegally.
He’s right. But that’s not stopping leftists from advocating abortion on demand, though the Texas case is alarming on a whole new level. As Family Research Council president Tony Perkins points out, “Part of [the government’s] duty is ensuring that our tax dollars don’t fund the taking of innocent human life. After all, this mother’s case is under the care of HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), which means that every cent flows through the pro-life Hyde Amendment.
Not only would a ruling upholding Judge Chutkan’s verdict for illegal minors set an incomprehensible precedent, it may force taxpayers to fund it. Even citizens don’t have that “privilege.” And it’s all because Democrats are making up rules and creating an inviting atmosphere that rewards lawlessness. As of Friday morning, the initial ruling has been stayed pending another hearing. How this plays out will have profound effects.  ~The Patriot Pos

{theintercept.com} ~ KASPERSKY LAB HAS come under intense scrutiny after its antivirus software was linked to the breach of an NSA employee’s home computer in 2015 by Russian government hackers... U.S. government sources, quoted in news reports, suggested the Moscow-based company colluded with the hackers to steal classified documents or tools from the worker’s machine, or at least turned a blind eye to this activity. The Department of Homeland Security banned Kaspersky products from civilian government systems, and Best Buy has removed the software from computers it sells based on concerns that the software can be used to spy on customers. But a closer look at the allegations and technical details of how Kaspersky’s products operate raises questions about the accuracy of the narrative being woven in news reports and suggests that U.S. officials could be technically correct in their statements about what occurred, while also being incorrect about collusion on the part of Kaspersky...  https://theintercept.com/2017/10/20/kaspersky-software-russia-nsa/

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ A new German law introducing state censorship on social media platforms  came into effect on October 1, 2017... The new law requires social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, to censor their users on behalf of the German state. Social media companies are obliged to delete or block any online "criminal offenses" such as libel, slander, defamation or incitement, within 24 hours of receipt of a user complaint -- regardless of whether or the content is accurate or not. Social media companies receive seven days for more complicated cases. If they fail to do so, the German government can fine them up to 50 million euros for failing to comply with the law. This state censorship makes free speech subject to the arbitrary decisions of corporate entities that are likely to censor more than absolutely necessary, rather than risk a crushing fine...  ttps://www.https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11205/germany-official-censorship/11205/germany-official-censorship

{nationalreview.com} ~ Not only the liar-Clintons are implicated in a uranium deal with the Russians that compromised national-security interests... Let’s put the Uranium One scandal in perspective: The cool half-million bucks the Putin regime funneled to liar-Bill Clinton was five times the amount it spent on those Facebook ads — the ones the media-Democrat complex ludicrously suggests swung the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. The Facebook-ad buy, which started in June 2015 — before Donald Trump entered the race — was more left-wing agitprop than electioneering. The liar-Clintons’ own long-time political strategist Mark Penn estimates that just $6,500 went to actual electioneering. (You read that right: 65 hundred dollars.) By contrast, the staggering $500,000 payday from a Kremlin-tied Russian bank for a single speech was part of a multi-million-dollar influence-peddling scheme to enrich the former president and his wife, then–secretary of state liar-Hillary Clinton. At the time, Russia was plotting — successfully — to secure U.S. government approval for its acquisition of Uranium One, and with it, tens of billions of dollars in U.S. uranium reserves...  http://www.nationalreview.com/article/452972/uranium-one-deal-obama-administration-doj-hillary-clinton-racketeering?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=NR%20Daily%20Saturday%202017-10-21&utm_term=NR5PM%20Actives

{allenwest.com} ~ If there’s one thing that must not be, should never be politicized, it’s the deaths of our Warriors deployed into combat zones around the world... What gives me the most angst is that the liberal progressive leftist media is attempting to capitalize on something that should be private. Yet, when there were four Americans who lost their lives in Benghazi, there was little to nothing mentioned. That is the epitome of partisan politicization of the lives of those serving on the front lines of freedom. In case you’re somehow unaware, I’m referring to the loss of four U.S. Army Special Forces troops in the country of Niger. We reported on this last week as it happened to highlight the spread of Islamic jihadism in North Africa, extending down into sub-Saharan Africa. We need to end this insidious game using our Warriors as some tennis ball to be volleyed back and forth. What we must focus on is an ongoing fight against Islamic jihadism and terrorism, and its global proliferation... https://www.allenwest.com/2017/10/20/new-facts-green-berets-lost-niger-way-disturbing-phone-call/

by Judge Andrew Napolitano
{townhall.com} ~ Late last week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the secretaries of the treasury and health and human services to cease making payments to health care insurance companies in behalf of the more than 6 million Americans who qualify for these payments under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly known as liar-mObamacare.

liar-Obamacare is the signature legislation of former President Barack liar-Obama, enacted in 2010 and upheld by the Supreme Court in 2012. Its stated goal was to use the engine of the federal government to make health insurance available and affordable to everyone in America.

It seeks to achieve that goal by regulating the delivery of health care, giving federal bureaucrats access to everyone's medical records, compelling everyone in America to acquire health insurance and providing financial subsidies for those people whose household incomes are below certain levels and who do not otherwise qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. Under President liar-nObama, the subsidies were regularly paid, and they had been paid under President Trump, as well, until he decided to cease paying them last week.

Here is the back story.

How is it up to the president to decide whether to spend federal dollars when the law requires him to do so? The answer to that question depends on whether Congress has authorized the specific expenditure of the tax dollars.

Under the Constitution, when Congress passes legislation that directs the president to spend federal tax dollars -- or, as is likelier the case today, dollars borrowed by the federal government -- Congress must appropriate funds for the expenditure. So for every federal program that spends money, Congress must first create the program -- for example, building a bridge or paving an interstate highway -- and then it must pass a second bill that appropriates money from the federal treasury and makes it available to the president for the purpose stated in the first law.

When liar-nObamacare was drafted in 2009 and 2010, one of the many compromises that went into it was the gradual rollout of its provisions; different parts of the law became effective at different times. The law was enacted with all Democratic votes. No Republican member of either house of Congress voted for it, and only a handful of Democrats voted against it.

By the time the subsidy provisions took effect, the Republicans were in control of Congress, yet liar-nObama was still in the White House. When liar-nObama asked Congress to appropriate the funds needed to make the subsidy payments required by the liar-nObamacare statute, Congress declined to do so. Thus, liar-nObama -- who, as the president of the United States, was charged with enforcing all federal laws -- was denied the means with which to enforce the subsidy portion of his favorite legislation.

So he spent the money anyway. He directed his secretaries of the treasury and health and human services to take appropriated funds from unstated programs and to make the subsidy payments to the seven largest health insurance carriers in the United States from those funds. Of course, by doing so, he was depriving other federal programs, authorized and funded by Congress, of the monies to which they were entitled. But liar-nObamacare was his legacy, and he was not about to let it die on the vine.

Can the president spend federal dollars, whether from tax revenue or borrowing, without an express authorization from Congress, even if he is following a law that requires the expenditures? In a word, no.

That's because the drafters of the Constitution feared the very situation confronted by Congress and liar-nObama in 2013 -- a law that is no longer popular, is no longer supported by Congress and costs money to enforce, with a president eager to enforce it and a Congress unwilling to authorize the payments. To address this tension between a president wanting to spend federal dollars and a Congress declining to authorize him to do so, the drafters of the Constitution put the power of the purse unambiguously in the hands of Congress. The Constitution could not be clearer: "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law."

It follows that where the appropriations have not been made by Congress, the funds may not be spent by the president. When liar-nObama declined to recognize this constitutional truism, the House of Representatives sued the secretary of health and human services in federal court, seeking to enjoin her from making the subsidy payments, and the House won the case. The court underscored the well-recognized dual scheme of the Framers whereby two laws are required for all federal expenditures -- one to tell the president on whom or on what the money should be spent and the second to authorize the actual expenditure. Without the second law -- the express authorization -- there can be no lawful expenditure.

President Trump, after making the same unlawful expenditures for nine months, decided last week to cease the practice. Whether he did so to bend Congress to his will on health care or he did so out of fidelity to the Constitution, he did the right thing, but he should have done it on his first day in office.

Let's not lose sight of the whole picture here. President liar-nObama has triumphed over President Trump and the Republicans who control Congress because all but a handful of those who are faithful to the Constitution are behaving as if there were a constitutional obligation on the part of the federal government to provide health insurance for everyone in America. According to a plain reading of the Constitution -- and even as articulated by the Supreme Court in the case that upheld the constitutionality of liar-nObamacare -- there isn't.

Federal Judge Refuses to Erase Joe Arpaio’s Conviction Despite Trump Pardon

A federal judge on Thursday shot down former sheriff Joe Arpaio’s bid to sweep his criminal record clean.

Arpaio, the controversial former lawman in Arizona’s Maricopa County, was granted a pardon by President Trump on Aug. 25. He had been found guilty of criminal contempt of a federal court order after a five-day bench trial earlier this year and faced the possibility of up to six months in jail. After the pardon, the 85-year-old Arpaio petitioned the court to clear his record and prevent the ruling from being used in future litigation.

The case raised the novel question of how far a presidential pardon actually reaches.

In her ruling, U.S. District Judge Susan R. Bolton said the pardon only freed Arpaio from possible punishment. In a four-page order offering a check on the president’s executive power, Bolton wrote that a pardon could not erase the facts of the case. Time to End liar-nObama-Era DOE Suspension Discrimination
i_QRhmWFlB_AAWD5HyL2REvwcMz8eReI7Sqn6ohhtLSw0PHbhP3CXgW5tYBEeWeGdJQLFzxjymcoz1GFo96qdx7r5OdOITrHIVLWRtoiBqVOtyIu9MfRY5VUlHy5JSE=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Culture Beat:  Recall in 2014 Barack liar-nObama’s Education Department instituted a policy aimed at “equalizing” suspension rates between white and black students. As the Associated Press reported at the time, “Black children represent about 18 percent of children enrolled in preschool programs in school, but almost half of the students suspended more than once.” In instituting the new nationwide policy liar-nObama’s DOE argued that it was needed in order to “dismantle what is commonly named the ‘school-to-prison pipeline.’” In fact, the policy was race-based at its heart, with the DOE communicating that it would interpret the “disparate impact” of disciplinary suspensions by race as discriminatory even if there was no evidence supporting such a conclusion.

A 2015 poll showed that 59% of teachers were opposed to the new policy guidelines. (We’re guessing the other 41% were 10% true believers and 31% too afraid to speak up.) And the reason was obvious, as one teacher explained, “There’s nothing going to happen, and the kids know it. It’s hard to keep order in a classroom when the kids know there is no consequence to misbehavior.” As any teacher knows, it’s not a student’s race that gets them in trouble, rather it’s their misbehavior.
Now a study of the policy’s impact on the state of Wisconsin has recently been released. The study reveals that overall school suspension rates have declined, but the highest percentage of suspension rate decline by race was, interestingly, among white children. The study also found that the factors of poverty and disability had the greatest impact on suspension rates, not racial background.
Will Flanders, the study’s author, stated, “I think what we see is that the factors that are impacting suspension rates differ at the district level. We see some districts where maybe there is a racial factor. We see other districts where poverty and disability seem to be the driver.” Flanders argued that the liar-nObama-era policy should be rescinded, saying, “We really shouldn’t be instituting a national policy that we need to be focused on disparate impact, that we should be reducing suspension. What instead we should do is encourage the ‘dear colleague’ [liar-nObama policy] letter to be reversed, and to restore to the school districts themselves, and to the states, the power in determining what policies work best for their school district.” Imagine that.  ~The Patriot Post

{rickwells.us} ~ A lot more Americans are going to really be wishing that the Republicans had repealed liar-nObamacare when tax time rolls around next year... A new IRS policy being implemented will result in returns that have not stated whether or not the taxpayers have insurance not being processed and implement huge Democrat mandated fines, a minimum of $2,432.50 for a family of three. The Internal Revenue Service announced the change for 2017 in an online notice sent out to tax professionals. It stated, ” the IRS will not accept electronically filed tax returns where the taxpayer does not address the health coverage requirements of the Affordable Care Act.” “Returns filed on paper failing to address the health coverage requirements face suspension until the information is received. Any refunds due will be delayed,” the IRS stated... Trump needs to do something about this. https://rickwells.us/irs-returns-obamacare-fine/

REPEAL, DON’T REPLACE!
by Burt Prelutsky

With that title, you would expect I was referring to liar-nObamaCare. And you’d be right if I thought there was the slightest chance of that ever happening. But, I haven’t taken total leave of reality, so I am actually referring to the United Nations.

The last time there was a similar organization filled with such a repulsive group of members, it was the League of Nations, the brainchild of that fatuous prig, Woodrow Wilson. When the League failed to do anything to defend Ethiopia’s spear-chuckers from the Italian planes and machine guns of Mussolini, everybody realized the organization was a total washout and everyone went back home to prepare for World War II.

By this time, most sensible people realize that after 71 years, the UN is equally useless. The only difference is that it has gotten to be extremely expensive for the United States. Why on earth would we want to play host to the various gangsters and vile bureaucrats who fill the building that resembles one of those glass ant farms that kids usually lose interest in after five minutes.

The problem is that as soon as people begin speaking seriously about getting out of the UN, they begin promoting the notion of creating a different organization consisting only of our peace-loving allies.

The problem is that a lot of the nations that could probably worm their way into that new organization are irredeemably socialist, and why on earth would we want to surrender even an inch of our sovereignty to countries so stupid they continue rolling out the red carpet to Muslims and promoting a financial system that has brought so many of them to the brink of bankruptcy and, in some cases, over the brink?

I mean, to the extent that we may share mutual interests, say in regard to North Korea, Iran and Russia, there’s nothing to prevent our presenting a common front.  But why on earth do we have to draw up a laundry list of rules, hold endless meetings and sign a bunch of mutual-defense treaties?

You don’t need to do any of those things with friends. You merely trust that you have each other’s back in case either of you gets in trouble. If you have to sign a paper, you’re not friends; you’re merely business associates in desperate need of lawyers.

To make my point, I’ll present a couple of examples. Years ago, a friend of mine, Hank Hinton, had a neighbor who was working in construction and wanted to go out on his own. So, Hank and I both pitched in a little money, enough for the guy to open a small office, put in a couple of phones and pay for stationery.

The fellow got a few small jobs, but only enough to keep his head above water, so Hank and I didn’t get a return on our investment that first year. But we had our hopes.

Unfortunately, it turned out that one of the ways that the other guy managed to keep from submerging was by not paying his taxes. I forget if it was the state or the feds who got wind of that fact and came calling. After questioning us about our involvement, the investigator determined that Hinton and the other guy would be fined, while I came out of it clean as a whistle.

It made no sense. Hinton had been as unaware as I that the guy had thought it was a good business decision to ignore the taxman. So, I naturally coughed up half the money to pay off Hinton’s obligation, knowing beyond the shadow of a doubt that he would have done the same for me.

The other example of the way such things are supposed to work, began in the 1930s, during the height of the Depression. One night, a guy was sitting in his room in a Hollywood boarding house. Suddenly, he heard music. Intrigued, he took the stairs to the roof and found a guy about his own age strumming a guitar and singing softly. After a few minutes, they got to talking. It turned out the singer didn’t have an agent or a manager. On the spot, the fan said he’d like to represent him. They shook hands.

The agent was a young man named Mitchell Hamilburg, the singer turned out to be Gene Autry. In case you don’t know, between movies, TV, records and real estate investments, Autry became, along with Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Fred MacMurray, one of the richest men in show business.

And for all those years, Hamilburg continued to represent the singing cowboy and continued to get his 10%. All on a handshake.

● In the midst of the fires that were ravaging the wine country in northern California, I received an email from a subscriber who was concerned that my wife and I might be in jeopardy.

Grateful for his concern, I assured him we were about 450 miles south of the fires.  I let him know that ours is a residential area where the only natural disaster likely to leave us homeless would be an earthquake.

I added that, being in California, our greatest danger was from unnatural disasters, of which we have an overabundance; namely, Jerry Brown, Dianne Feinstein, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pulosi, Adam Schiff, Xavier Becerra and Mad-Maxine Waters.

● After writing about children born with Down’s syndrome, I heard from a subscriber who is the father of a 53-year-old victim of Down’s. He wrote: “Sometimes in the night, I wonder if giving him life was really doing him a favor.  His is a very sad life. As he sinks into old age at 53, he is in many ways older than I am at 80, I reflect on how really unhappy his life has been. I just have no idea if we’ve done him a favor. Now I have to set up the computer to softly play classical music, currently Paganini’s ‘Suites for Violin and Guitar,’ which he likes to have on as he sleeps. No need to reply.”

I, on the other hand, saw a need, and acknowledged there was no easy answer. “But,” I went on, “the truth is that a lot of people have sad lives; lives, in the words of Henry David Thoreau, of quiet desperation. At least your son has had loving parents, and that is not as commonplace as you might think.

“Did you do him or yourselves a favor by letting him live? I’m not sure that’s the appropriate question. If you had not allowed him to live, he wouldn’t have had a sad life. He would have had no life.  As for yourselves, I can only imagine you would have had your lives and even your dreams haunted, never knowing what might have been.

“In your position, I would have made your decision. If in time, I came to rue it, it wouldn’t be the first decision I have regretted and I’m sure it won’t be the last. At least your son loves good music. That’s something he would have been denied if you’d gone with Plan B. Best wishes, Burt”

Silverglate: How Robert Mueller Tried to Entrap Me

Is special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, appointed in mid-May to lead the investigation into suspected ties between Donald Trump’s campaign and various shady (aren’t they all?) Russian officials, the choirboy that he’s being touted to be, or is he more akin to a modern-day Tomas de Torquemada, the Castilian Dominican friar who was the first Grand Inquisitor in the 15th Century Spanish Inquisition?. . .

But I have known Mueller during key moments of his career as a federal prosecutor. My experience has taught me to approach whatever he does in the Trump investigation with a requisite degree of skepticism or, at the very least, extreme caution.

When Mueller was the acting United States Attorney in Boston, I was defense counsel in a federal criminal case in which a rather odd fellow contacted me to tell me that he had information that could assist my client. He asked to see me, and I agreed to meet. He walked into my office wearing a striking, flowing white gauze-like shirt and sat down across from me at the conference table. He was prepared, he said, to give me an affidavit to the effect that certain real estate owned by my client was purchased with lawful currency rather than, as Mueller’s office was claiming, the proceeds of illegal drug activities.

My secretary typed up the affidavit that the witness was going to sign. Just as he picked up the pen, he looked at me and said something like: “You know, all of this is actually false, but your client is an old friend of mine and I want to help him.” As I threw the putative witness out of my office, I noticed, under the flowing white shirt, a lump on his back – he was obviously wired and recording every word between us.

Years later I ran into Mueller, and I told him of my disappointment in being the target of a sting where there was no reason to think that I would knowingly present perjured evidence to a court. Mueller, half-apologetically, told me that he never really thought that I would suborn perjury, but that he had a duty to pursue the lead given to him. (That “lead,” of course, was provided by a fellow that we lawyers, among ourselves, would indelicately refer to as a “scumbag.”) (Read more from “Silverglate: How Robert Mueller Tried to Entrap Me” HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/10/silverglate-how-robert-mueller-tried-to-entrap-me/

Steve Bannon Delivers Blistering Attack on Former President George W. Bush

Steve Bannon delivered a withering attack on George W. Bush Friday night, bluntly questioning the former President’s intelligence and his grasp of the concepts that he outlined in a speech that he gave New York this week.

“There has not been a more destructive presidency than George Bush’s,” Bannon said during his dinnertime address at the convention banquet of the California Republican Party. He said Bush had “embarrassed himself” with a “high falutin” speech.

“It was clear he didn’t understand anything he was talking about,” Bannon said.

“He has no earthly idea of whether he’s coming or going,” Bannon said, implying that Bush had mindlessly given a speech written for him by a speechwriter, “just like it was when he was President of the United States.” (Read more from “Steve Bannon Delivers Blistering Attack on Former President George W. During Friday’s heated White House press briefing, a reporter brought up Congresswoman Frederica Wilson’s accusations towards John Kelly after he shamed her response to Trump’s private call with a soldier’s family earlier this week. Wilson blasted Kelly all morning on mainstream media calling him both “racist” and a liar.

 Huck-2-777x437.jpg

When reporters questioned Sanders as to whether Kelly stood by his remarks, she SILENCES them with perfect response:

“As General Kelly pointed out, if you’re able to make a sacred act like honoring American heroes all about yourself, you’re an empty barrel. If you don’t understand that reference, I’ll put it a little more simply, as we say in the South, all hat – no cattle.”

BOOM!

Just like that, Sanders SHUT DOWN Wilson! What a perfect comeback for a woman who wears crazy cowboy hats, but refuses to act like a professional patriot!

Huck-2-777x437.jpg

Reporters go on to attack Sanders in defense of this insane congresswoman, but Sarah holds her ground like usual. One in particular starts to accuse General Kelly of being a liar right in front of Sarah’s face, so she immediately puts an end to this with one sentence:

“If you want to go after General Kelly, that’s up to you. But if you want to get into a debate with a four star general, I think that’s something highlight inappropriate.”

Wow! These reporters are now attacking a four star general who also happens to be a Gold Star family member. DISGUSTING!

Thank you, Sarah, for standing up to these reporters day after day to defend our President! You are a

TRUE patriot!

Six RINOs Paid By George Soros To Silence Trump! Guess Who’s Top On The List?

3.1k
SHARES

Battling against communists resembles attempting to fend off an octopus keen on eating you. Each time you cut off one arm, another one grows!

That is the thing that conservatives confront when they need to manage liberal RINO Republicans standing near the radical Democrats who need to stop and invalidate each move President Trump makes in attempting to finish his guarantees he made in the election.

Obviously, it’s to a great degree disappointing to realize that your foes might be the your own political party.

But what man keeps their jobs in the Government?

The man behind all the fighting, the very rich person George Soros, has been financing the majority of the counter Trump movements.

This additionally incorporates the rebel RINO Republicans who need Trump stopped and expelled from office so they help democrats.

The proof is in. The six Republicans who took funds from Soros are:

John McCain
Lindsay Graham
John Kasich
Marco Rubio
Ron Johnson
Paul Ryan

Soros is worth more than twenty five billion dollars and has put cash into many countries economies. He was a vast supporter of President Obama’s elections too.

Utilizing Soros’ cash, Obama got us 75% of the path there and Hillary was intended to get us through the last 25%, yet Trump was a surprise no one expected.

The Power of King Corn
TkfsARdmf4NcjudZxHmI6MzXCKGn_1UGe6QS-neMJPRL3DDuLV6Z-JLqFzzCwFQPoUkHdACUCw8UM37bTKwgZNQjtSCrZjj1XHFLhiSKSbXnefB4YaMm33YZcucKugU=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Political Editors:  The head of the Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, recently hinted at scaling back the onerous ethanol mandate associated within the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). This news prompted Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) to threaten that, should Pruitt pursue scaling back the mandate, Donald Trump’s EPA nominees would essentially be prevented from receiving confirmation. An example of cronyism at its worst.

It’s tough to drain the swamp when politicians are more concerned with protecting the special interests of their big money donors than the freedoms of the constituents who have elected them. The ethanol mandate has been a boon for King Corn but little more than troublesome for everyone else, including the environment (which the RFS was ostensibly created to protect). In short, the ethanol mandate is one of the nation’s biggest boondoggles.
But Grassley’s threat was also a veiled threat aimed at Trump’s judicial nominees. As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Grassley can effectively sideline any vote on nominees. Grassley has put the squeeze on Trump, and Trump responded. On Wednesday, the White House ordered the EPA to put a hold on any changes to the ethanol mandate. King Corn wins again. Like Barack liar-nObama did with “Clean Energy” and his war on coal, the government picking winners and losers is not what Americans need or want. Sadly, too many Republicans are guilty of playing this same crony game for which they blasted liar-nObama.
End the corruption. End the ethanol mandate. Let ethanol stand on its own in the free market without the government artificially propping it up. As destructive and inefficient as it is, though, its defenders know that’s not possible. Thus the continued cronyism.

{townhall.com} ~ That was some chaotic scene in the White House Rose Garden Monday. After lunch with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the president assured combative reporters and the country that the two are getting along just fine, in spite of the Senate's failure to repeal and replace liar-nObamacare and an uncertain future over tax reform, the other Republican signature issue party members promised to get done.

Under McConnell's "leadership," the Senate has failed to pass any major legislation since President Trump took office. It has been known instead for the divisions among its members rather than for the unity voters expected when they gave control of the government to Republicans.

McConnell made a statement which perfectly summarized why so many voters distrust the establishment and are wary of what Republicans will do: "The goal here is to win elections in November (2018). My goal is to keep a Senate majority."

McConnell has it backward. Advancing policies that improve the economy, create conditions under which the private sector thrive, reduce unnecessary regulations as the president is doing by executive order in some cases, cut spending and reform entitlements ought to be the goals. Do that and Republicans will deserve to win elections. What is the point of winning elections if, having won them, little or nothing is done about changing policies that may promote the interests of some politicians and interest groups, but not the general welfare?

McConnell added: "Our operating approach will be to support our incumbents and in open seats, to seek to help nominate people who can actually win."

This is in stark contrast to the goal of former White House aide and Breitbart head, Steve Bannon, who seeks to nominate and elect people who can make changes and upend the establishment. The notion that these two goals are irreconcilable is wrong. People are fed up with politicians -- especially Republicans -- who promise to do things in order to win an election, like repealing and replacing liar-nObamacare, but after they win vote against doing exactly that with flimsy excuses as to why they reneged on their promises.

This is the reason for the anger and frustration felt by many, especially conservative voters. It isn't about deportment and playing nice with the opposition. That isn't the way most Democrats play the game. Democrats play hardball. Too many Republicans seem to prefer badminton. Democrats know the only reason to gain power is to use it. Republicans too often seem embarrassed by power and appear to care more about what liberal journalists and critics think of them than what the voters who elected them think.

Writing in Politico, National Review editor Rich Lowry succinctly summarizes the condition of today's Republican Party and too many of its members: "This is the state of the GOP in a nutshell. It is a party locked in mortal combat between an establishment that is ineffectual and a populist wing that is ineffectual and inflamed."

Can something be constructed out of the flames and ineffectualness that achieves the twin goals of maintaining a majority and advancing conservative policies? If not, what is the point of having a Republican majority beyond the worthy goal of populating the judiciary with more judges who will properly interpret and not ignore the Constitution?

Making Sense of the Gold Star Family Flap

He’s referring to the kerfuffle over President Donald Trump’s response to the four U.S. Special Forces soldiers killed in Niger earlier this month. That dustup is now in its fourth day.

In short, the White House team reportedly drafted a message of condolence right away, but it took Trump 12 days to say anything. On Monday, Trump responded to questions about it by complaining about how such calls make for a “very, very tough day” for him and then slamming Barack liar-nObama for not calling families of fallen soldiers. Trump even singled out his own chief of staff, John Kelly, who he says didn’t receive a call from liar-nObama when Kelly’s son was killed in Afghanistan in 2010. Then Democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson insisted that Trump was insensitive to the family of Sgt. La David Johnson, one of the soldiers killed in Niger, when he finally did call. According to Wilson, who says she heard the call on speakerphone, Trump allegedly told Johnson’s widow that “he must have known what he signed up for.
So here are a few thoughts that will, in our book, put this one to bed. Trump is not ever going to “get it right” when it comes to the decorum of being president. That’s not why he was elected, and everyone knows it. Nevertheless, the Leftmedia must constantly churn this reality TV garbage to generate viewership and advertising revenue. Think of all the articles and television news segments dissecting what the president knew and when he said something and who the offended families are and if Trump actually made a promised donation to another family and whether liar-nObama ever made a phone call. Four days’ worth of “news” over the politicization of the deaths of four Americans.
Perhaps that last bit is why Rep. Wilson went so far as to say, “This might wind up to be Mr. Trump’s Benghazi.” That comparison is utterly absurd and calls into question her version of events.
If Trump said what Wilson alleges, context matters a lot. But don’t take our word for it. Arnold Wright, whose son, Army Staff Sgt. Dustin Wright, was one of the four killed in Niger, had this to say: “My son knew what he signed up for. He signed up to be a Green Beret. He had no illusions about what that meant.” Wright, himself a veteran, continued, “My son came from a military family with a tradition that dates back to 1812. He fully knew what it means to serve and the risk involved.
Trump is a thin-skinned, unpolished guy, but we’d venture to say most military personnel and their families know they finally have a president who supports them. The rest of us should express our gratitude for the sacrifices made by military Patriots and their families, as well as offer our own prayers and support.  ~The Patriot Post

Rabbi Yonason Goldsonby Rabbi Yonason Goldson
{jewishworldreview.com} ~ Jesse Jackson likely will not appreciate this.

The story of a Great Flood can be found in virtually every human culture. However, the biblical record stands alone in its dramatic conclusion: as Noah emerges from the ark, the Almighty sets His rainbow in the heavens as a sign that never again will He visit the waters of devastation upon the earth.

Much has been made of the shape of the rainbow --- an inverted bow to direct the arrows of divine wrath away from mankind. But is this a hopeful sign? Does it not imply that we are in fact deserving of destruction? Does it not contain a warning, that only because of the Divine's promise to Noah are we spared the natural consequences of our own moral corruption?

And what do the colors and beauty of the rainbow signify? Is it not incongruous to invoke something so beautiful as a reminder that a 4000 year-old covenant is all that stands between us and annihilation?

WANTING IT BOTH WAYS AND NO WAYS

In the old Peanuts comic strip, Linus once declared that, "I love humanity; it's people I can't stand."

It's no longer a joke. As human society grows ever more fractured, we see everyone else as either too traditional or too progressive, too dovish or too hawkish, too far left or too far right. Unity remains a dream we no longer believe in as we divide ourselves up into increasingly tribal enclaves.

Paradoxically, it is the strength of conviction that separates people from one another. Too many of us believe that our way is more "beautiful" than anyone else's way, that only we are the chosen standard-bearers, and that we alone speak Truth while all others are heretics or infidels.

Why do we find it so difficult to celebrate our -- dare I use the word -- diversity? We give lip service to the value of multiculturalism, recognizing that our differences can make us greater than the sum of our parts. But then we use distinctiveness as a wedge to set ourselves apart from others.

In modern society, diversity often becomes a club to bludgeon into submission all whose sense of traditional values or personal integrity compels them to reject the moral anarchy that defines our times. Intolerance masquerades as forbearance, proclaiming an open-mindedness that is reserved only for those who conform to ideologically acceptable standards of cultural elites.

THE CHALLENGE OF MORAL EQUILIBRIUM

It was the same kind of violent division that brought the devastation of the Flood upon mankind. In that benighted generation, the law of the jungle drove human beings to an unthinkable level of bestial corruption. Had the Almighty not brought the waters of destruction upon the earth, human beings would surely have destroyed themselves.

Back then, it was selfishness and greed that tore society apart. Today, it is ego and ideology.

True, it's not easy to achieve the delicate balance between acceptance on the one hand and conviction on the other. Tilting too far to one side catapults us toward moral dogmatism; tilting too far to the other sets our moral compass spinning in all directions.

So what is the solution?

The answer lies is seeing the rainbow as both beautiful and terrifying. It is a symbol of diversity and how much we can achieve by celebrating our differences; but simultaneously it is a reminder of how much destruction we can bring upon our world when differences become justification for divisiveness.

To truly love our fellow human beings we cannot retreat into ideological isolation. If we do, we will succeed only in marginalizing others in our own minds. Ultimately, we must take great care to chart a course between the extremes of ideology and accommodation.

So reach out to connect with someone outside your own close, closed, comfortable group. Engage people who think differently, not to debate but to exchange ideas and seek understanding.

Remember as well that the most exquisite flowers, the most dramatic seascapes, and the most inspiring mountain peaks are those that reflect all the colors of the rainbow.

{rickwells.us} ~ Lou Dobbs has a few thoughts on the four and a half hour appearance of Attorney General Jeff Sessions before the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday... his interactions with the Senators and his sometimes suspect responses and assertions. He notes that Judiciary Committee Chairman, Senator Charles Grassley, “Has finally ordered the committee to investigate the Uranium One deal, a deal that transferred twenty percent of US uranium assets to the control of Russia.” Dobbs points out that it “resulted in almost $150 million in donations, perhaps bribes is the better and more accurate word, to the liar-Clinton Foundation, while liar-Hillary was serving as Secretary of State in the liar-nObama administration.”...  https://rickwells.us/grassley-clinton-uranium-sessions/

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ What's driving the president's supposed 'crackpot' strategy? A lot, actually

On Friday, US President Donald Trump initiated an important change in US policy toward Iran.

No, in his speech decertifying Iran’s compliance with the nuclear accord it struck with his predecessor Barack liar-nObama, Trump didn’t announce a new strategy for preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, or stemming its hegemonic rise in the Middle East, or limiting its ability to sponsor terrorism.

Trump’s move was not operational. It was directional.

In his address Friday, Trump changed the policy dynamics that dictate US policy on Iran. For the first time since 2009, when liar-nObama backed the murderous regime in Tehran, spurning the millions of Iranians who rose up in the Green Revolution, Trump opened up the possibility that the US may begin to base its policies toward Iran on reality.

Trump began his remarks by setting out Iran’s long rap sheet of aggression against America.

Starting with the US embassy seizure and hostage crisis, Trump described Iran’s crimes and acts of war against America in greater detail than any of his predecessors ever did.

Trump’s dossier was interlaced with condemnations of the regime’s repression of its own people.

By merging Iran’s external aggression with its internal repression, Trump signaled a readiness to drive a wedge – or expand the wedge – between the authoritarian theocrats that rule Iran and the largely secular, multiethnic and pro-Western people of Iran.

Trump then turned his attention to Iran’s illicit ballistic missile program, its sponsorship of terrorism, including its links to al-Qaida, its aggression against its neighbors, its aggressive acts against maritime traffic in the Straits of Hormuz, and its bids to destabilize and control large swaths of the Middle East through its proxies.

It is notable that these remarks preceded Trump’s discussion of the nuclear deal – which was the ostensible subject of his speech. Before Trump discussed Iran’s breaches of the nuclear deal, he first demonstrated that contrary to the expressed views of his top advisers, it is impossible to limit a realistic discussion of the threat Iran constitutes to US national security and interests to whether or not and it what manner it is breaching the nuclear accord.

This was a critical point because for the past two years, US discourse on Iran has focused solely on whether or not Iran was complying with liar-nObama’s nuclear pact. By placing the nuclear deal in the context of Iran’s consistent, overarching hostility and aggression, Trump made it self-evident that no US interest is served in continuing to give Iran a free pass from congressional sanctions.

After accomplishing that goal, Trump turned his attention to how Iran is actually breaching the letter and spirit of the nuclear pact. Only then, almost as an afterthought, did he announce that he was decertifying Iranian compliance with the nuclear deal, setting the conditions for the renewal of congressional sanctions on Iran and opening the floodgates of congressional sanctions on Iran in retaliation for the full spectrum of its aggressive and illicit acts against the US, its interests and allies.

By empowering Congress to prohibit economic cooperation with Iran, Trump put the Europeans, Chinese and Russians on notice that they may soon face a choice between conducting business with the US and conducting business with Iran.

After putting them on notice, Trump discussed the possibility of improving liar-nObama’s nuclear accord. Among other things, he suggested expanding the inspection regime against Iran’s nuclear installations and canceling the so-called “sunset” clause that places an end date on the restrictions governing certain components of Iran’s nuclear advancement.

Trump’s address has the potential to serve as the foundation of a major, positive shift in US policy toward Iran. Such a shift could potentially facilitate the achievement of Trump’s goals of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, containing its regional aggression and empowerment and defeating its terrorist proxies.

Unfortunately, it is also likely, indeed, it is more likely, that his words will not be translated into policies to achieve these critical aims.

Trump’s decision to transfer immediate responsibility to Congress for holding Iran accountable for its hostile actions on the military and other fronts is a risky move. He has a lot of enemies, and the nuclear deal has a lot of supporters on Capitol Hill.

liar-nObama would have never been able to implement his nuclear deal if Senator Bob Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, hadn’t agreed to cast the Constitution aside and ignore liar-nObama’s constitutional duty to present the nuclear deal to the Senate for ratification as a treaty.

Over the past week, Trump and Corker have been involved in an ugly public fight precipitated by Corker’s announcement that he will not be seeking reelection next year.

Today Corker has nothing to restrain him from scuttling Trump’s agenda. If he wishes, out of spite, Corker can block effective sanctions from being passed. And he may do so even though the implications for his Senate colleagues would be dire and even though doing so would render him an unofficial protector of Iran’s nuclear program.

What is true for Corker is doubly true for the Democrats.

Leading Democratic senators like Robert Menendez, Ben Cardin and Chuck clown-Schumer, who opposed liar-nObama’s Iran deal may now feel that as opponents of the Trump administration, they are required to oppose any change to the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act.

Indeed, given the rise of radical forces in their party it is likely that they would rather give Iran a free pass for its anti-American aggression and nuclear proliferation than work with Republicans on Capitol Hill and in the White House.

Then again, by framing the issue of Iran’s threat to America as he did, and by transferring responsibility for reinstating sanctions and passing further sanctions on Iran to Congress, Trump opened up the possibility that Congress will conduct substantive – rather than personal – debates on Iran.

And the more substantive those debates become, the further away the US discourse will move from the mendacious assumptions of liar-nObama’s Iran policy – that the Iranian regime is a responsible actor and potential US ally, and that there is nothing inherently aggressive or problematic about Iran’s illicit nuclear weapons program.

The second major risk inherent in Trump’s approach is that he will get his way; that the Europeans, Russians and Chinese and the Iranians will agree to improve the nuclear deal. The problem here is not obvious. Clearly, it is better if the deal is amended to delete the sunset clauses and expand the inspections regime.

Yet even an amended, improved deal will still serve as a shield to Iran’s nuclear program. An improved deal won’t destroy Iran’s centrifuges.

It won’t take away Iran’s enriched uranium. It won’t destroy Iran’s nuclear installations. And it won’t bring down the regime which by its nature ensures all of these things will remain a menace to the US, its allies and international security as a whole.

So long as the US continues to maintain a policy based on the false view that all that is necessary to destroy the threat of a nuclear armed Iran is a combination of the nuclear deal and economic sanctions, it will continue to ensure that Iran and its nuclear program remain a major threat. Distressingly, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, the most outspoken supporter of decertifying Iranian compliance in the Trump administration, told NBC on Sunday that the US intends to remain in the nuclear deal.

To understand what must be done we must return to Trump’s speech and its strategic significance.

By taking a holistic view of the Iranian threat – grounded in a recognition of the inherent hostility of the regime – Trump opened up the possibility that the US and its allies can develop a holistic policy for confronting and defeating Iran and its proxies. If the Iran deal and sanctions are two components to a larger strategy rather than the entire strategy, they can be helpful.

A wider strategy would target Iran’s regional aggression by weakening its proxies and clients from Hezbollah and Hamas to the regimes in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon. It would target the regime itself by empowering the ayatollahs’ domestic opponents. It would pin down Iranian forces by arming and otherwise assisting the Iraqi Kurds to defend and maintain their control over their territory along the Iranian border while strengthening the ties between Iranian Kurds and Iraqi Kurds.

Friday, Trump created the possibility for such a strategy. It is up to members of Congress, and US allies like Israel and the Sunni Arab states to help Trump conceive and implement it. If they fail, the possibility Trump created will be lost, perhaps irrevocably.

4064488970?profile=original                                 WHY IS SESSIONS HIDING URANIUM ONE INFORMANT?

                                                                                     By

                                                                       Daniel John Sobieski

Perhaps as startling as the revelation that the FBI was investigating the Hillary Clinton/Russia/Uranium One collusion  and that key figures like Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe knew about it and said nothing, is the refusal by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to remove the non-disclosure agreement gag order on the FBI informant who arguably could put Bill and Hillary Clinton and a few others in federal prison.

It was said the Jeff Sessions recused himself from all things Russian because of election campaign conflicts but is it really because he thought it would insulate him from having to divulge what he knew about Uranium One and the people who at the very least knew about the deal, some who approved the deal, including past and present members of the FBI, the DOJ, and Special Counsel Robert Miller’s team? Is Jeff Sessions part of the Uranium One cover-up? If not then he needs to explain why he is thus far refusing Sen. Chuck Grassley’s request to lift the gag order imposed by the Obama administration as part of the Uranium One cover-up :

A top Senate Republican is calling for the Justice Department to lift an apparent “gag order” on an FBI informant who reportedly helped the U.S. uncover a corruption and bribery scheme by Russian nuclear officials but allegedly was “threatened” by the Obama administration to stay quiet….

“Witnesses who want to talk to Congress should not be gagged and threatened with prosecution for talking. If that has happened, senior DOJ leadership needs to fix it and release the witness from the gag order,” Grassley said in a statement.

Victoria Toensing, a lawyer for the former FBI informant, told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” that her client has “specific information about contributions and bribes to various entities and people in the United States.”

She said she could not go further because her client has not been released from a nondisclosure agreement but suggested the gag order could be lifted soon. Toensing also claimed that her client was “threatened by the Loretta Lynch Justice Department” when he pursued a civil action in which he reportedly sought to disclose some information about the case.

In a letter sent Wednesday to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Grassley said such an NDA would “appear to improperly prevent the individual from making critical, good faith disclosures to Congress of potential wrongdoing.”…

The Hill reported earlier this week that the FBI had evidence as early as 2009 that Russian operatives used bribes, kickbacks and other dirty tactics to expand Moscow’s atomic energy footprint in the U.S. Grassley on Wednesday released a series of letters he fired off last week to 10 federal agencies, raising the question of whether the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) which approved the uranium transaction was aware of that FBI probe -- and pointing to potential “conflicts” involving the Clintons. The committee included then-Secretary of State Clinton.

So why not just lift the gag order, vacate the non-disclosure agreement, which Sessions has the power to do, and key the informant come forward with information on how and why the Clintons conspired to put 20 percent of our uranium assets under Russian control while lining the pockets of the Clintons and their pay-for-play foundation? As Toensing notes, Sessions could do it, and thereby bring to light the details of this criminal enterprise:

The lead investigators on the case included Rod Rosenstein, who is now the deputy attorney general, and Andrew McCabe, who is now the deputy FBI director. Rosenstein is the DOJ official who appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller to investigate alleged collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the collusion/campaign investigation.  He could waive the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) signed by the informant, said Toensing. "Yes, Jeff could do it," she said. "He is not recused from this matter and should not be."

However, Rod Rosenstein "is conflicted," said Toensing, "because he was the U.S. attorney who oversaw the case involving my client."  Toensing added that she has "asked an oversight committee to pursue the release" of the NDA so her client may testify before Congress about what he knows.

In lifting the gag order, Sessions might have to explain the real reasons behind his recusal and why people who knew of actual collusion between Russia and the Clintons were silent, only to reappear to investigate and pursue prosecution of non-existent collusion between Russia and Team Trump. He might have to explain why Mueller, McCabe, Rosenstein and other were allowed to hide the truth from the American people and why they should not be summarily fired. As Grassley notes, neither Sessions or anyone in the Justice Department has the authority to block the informant from testifying before Congress or issue non-disclosure agreements to thwart Congressional oversight:

“The Executive Branch does not have the authority to use non-disclosure agreements to avoid Congressional scrutiny," Grassley wrote. "If the FBI is allowed to contract itself out of Congressional oversight, it would seriously undermine our Constitutional system of checks and balances. The Justice Department needs to work with the Committee to ensure that witnesses are free to speak without fear, intimidation or retaliation from law enforcement."

Again, perhaps the reluctance of Jeff Sessions stems from the web of deceit and complicity that ensnares many in the FBI and the Justice Department. As Fox News analyst Gregg Jarrett notes on the Uranium One scandal:

It seems it was all covered up for years by the same three people who are now involved in the investigation of President Donald Trump over so-called Russian “collusion.”…

But why has there been no prosecution of Clinton?  Why did the FBI and the Department of Justice during the Obama administration keep the evidence secret?  Was it concealed to prevent a scandal that would poison Barack Obama’s presidency?  Was Hillary Clinton being protected in her quest to succeed him?

The answer may lie with the people who were in charge of the investigation and who knew of its explosive impact.   Who are they?

Eric Holder was the Attorney General when the FBI began uncovering the Russian corruption scheme in 2009.  Since the FBI reports to him, he surely knew what the bureau had uncovered.

What’s more, Holder was a member of the “Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States” which approved the uranium sale to the Russians in 2010.  Since the vote was unanimous, it appears Holder knowingly and deliberately countenanced a deal that was based on illegal activities and which gave Moscow control of more than 20 percent of America’s uranium assets.

It gets worse.  Robert Mueller was the FBI Director during the time of the Russian uranium probe, and so was his successor James Comey who took over in 2013 as the FBI was still developing the case.  Rod Rosenstein, then-U.S. Attorney, was supervising the case.  There is no indication that any of these men ever told Congress of all the incriminating evidence they had discovered and the connection to Clinton.  The entire matter was kept secret from the American public.

It may be no coincidence that Mueller (now special counsel) and Rosenstein (now Deputy Attorney General) are the two top people currently investigating whether the Trump campaign conspired with the Russians to influence the 2016 presidential election.  Mueller reports to Rosenstein, while Comey is a key witness in the case.  It is not unreasonable to conclude that Mueller, Rosenstein and Comey may have covered up potential crimes involving Clinton and Russia, but are now determined to find some evidence that Trump “colluded” with Russia.

Boom. The question is now whether Jeff Sessions wants to help President Trump to drain the swamp be vacating the gag order and letting evidence come forth proving the Clintons orchestrated the greatest criminal conspiracy in U.S. history at the expense of American national security or whether he is just another swamp thing committed to clogging up the drainage pipes. Justice may be blind, but it should never be gagged.

Judging by Mueller’s Staffing Choices, He May Not Be Very Interested in Justice

Much has been written about the prosecutorial prowess of Robert Mueller’s team assembled to investigate allegations of Russia’s involvement in the Trump campaign. Little has been said of the danger of prosecutorial overreach and the true history of Mueller’s lead prosecutor.

What was supposed to have been a search for Russia’s cyberspace intrusions into our electoral politics has morphed into a malevolent mission targeting friends, family and colleagues of the president. The Mueller investigation has become an all-out assault to find crimes to pin on them — and it won’t matter if there are no crimes to be found. This team can make some.

Many Americans despise President Trump and anyone associated with him. Yet turning our system of justice into a political weapon is a danger we must guard against. Federal Court Rules WWI Monument in Shape of Cross Is Unconstitutional

In remembrance of those who never came home from the war to end all wars, the veterans and citizens of Prince George’s County, Maryland, erected a towering cross in their honor.

Since 1925, the cross has stood at what is now the intersection of Maryland Route 450 and U.S. Route 1 in Bladensburg, Maryland.

A federal appeals court now says it has to go.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit said the 40-foot-tall cross “has the primary effect of endorsing religion and excessively entangles the government in religion,” according to The Washington Post.

Although the initial funds to erect the memorial came from donations, the cross is maintained by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, which is a state agency.

The court did not care that the cross is part of a larger collection of memorials in the vicinity, saying that “the sectarian elements easily overwhelm the secular ones.”

“The cross is by far the most prominent monument in the area, conspicuously displayed at a busy intersection,” wrote Judge Stephanie D. Thacker, who was joined in her opinion by Judge James A. Wynn, Jr.

“The district court determined that such government action does not run afoul of the Establishment Clause because the cross has a secular purpose,” they wrote.

The judges stated blatantly that the monument still does endorse religion, despite the lower court’s reasoning.

The judges also described the cross, writing, “one side of the base contains a two-foot tall, nine-foot wide plaque listing the names of the 49 soldiers from Prince George’s County whom the Cross memorializes, followed by a quote by President Woodrow Wilson.”

“The Latin cross is the core symbol of Christianity. And here, it is 40 feet tall; prominently displayed in the center of one of the busiest intersections in Prince George’s County, Maryland; and maintained with thousands of dollars in government funds,” the pair said.

“Therefore, we hold that the purported war memorial breaches the “wall of separation between Church and State.”

They wrote that even though it might be common knowledge that the monument was erected to honor to soldiers who lost their lives in World War I, that was not enough to keep it standing where it is.

“(A) reasonable observer would know that the Cross is dedicated to 49 World War I veterans and that veteran services occur at the Cross,” they wrote. “The private organizers pledged devotion to faith in God, and that same observer knows that Christian-only religious activities have taken place at the Cross.”

The judges added that no specific party “has come forward with any evidence to the contrary,” and noted that the “Latin cross generally represents Christianity.”

“These factors collectively weigh in favor of concluding that the Cross endorses Christianity — not only above all other faiths, but also to their exclusion,” the opinion read, according to Patheos.

However, Chief Judge Roger L. Gregory dissented.

“This Memorial stands in witness to the VALOR, ENDURANCE, COURAGE, and DEVOTION of the forty-nine residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland ‘who lost their lives in the Great War for the liberty of the world,’” Gregory wrote.

“I cannot agree that a monument so conceived and dedicated and that bears such witness violates the letter or spirit of the very Constitution these heroes died to defend,” he said, as reported by Fox News.

Those defending the memorial lashed out at the decision.

“Today’s decision sets dangerous precedent by completely ignoring history, and it threatens removal and destruction of veterans memorials across America,” said Hiram Sasser, deputy chief counsel for First Liberty, which helped represent the American Legion in the case.

“This memorial has stood in honor of local veterans for almost 100 years and is lawful under the First Amendment,” said Michael Carvin, lead counsel for The American Legion and partner at the Jones Day law firm. “To remove it would be a tremendous dishonor to the local men who gave their lives during The Great War.”

The American Humanist Association had originally brought the case to court, claiming that the cross violated the First Amendment.

A U.S. District Court judge turned down its request to have the cross taken down, giving rise to the appeal.

“The American Legion’s commitment to preserving the Bladensburg Memorial has been unwavering,” said Kelly Shackelford, president and CEO of First Liberty.

Shackelford also cited the determination illustrated by former President Woodrow Wilson, whose words are engraved at the memorial’s base: “The right is more precious than the peace; we shall fight for the things we have always carried nearest to our hearts; to such a task we dedicate ourselves.”

“We are exploring all of our options on behalf of the American Legion,” she added, “including an appeal directly to the U.S. Supreme Court.” (For more from the author of “Federal Court Rules WWI Monument in Shape of Cross Is Unconstitutional” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/10/federal-court-rules-wwi-monument-shape-cross-unconstitutional/

Congresswoman Calls Trump a ‘Sick Man,’ and Then Gets a CAREER-ENDING Call

By admin | October 18, 2017

Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson caused a lot of unnecessary drama on Wednesday morning with her unsupported claims that President Trump disrespected the widow of a fallen soldier during a private phone call on Tuesday.
Trump-Wilson-777x437.jpgIt’s important to point out that the fact that President Trump took the time to call this woman already shows how much he cares about America’s Gold Star families. Trump has made sure to contact every family of any fallen soldier during his first term as President.

On Tuesday, President Trump made private calls to the families of four US soldiers who were killed recently in Niger.

But, now that Democrats are not able to criticize him for not calling the families, they are attacking him for what he allegedly said to the families. These Democrats are DISGUSTING!

Rep. Frederica Wilson blasted Trump on mainstream media on Wednesday morning accusing him of telling the widow that her husband “knew what he signed up for … but when it happens it hurts anyway.” Both Trump and the White House have vehemently denied this claim.

Wilson has said she is not politicizing anything, yet she has gone on numerous mainstream media outlets so far, telling them all that Trump is a “sick man.” And that he’s “cold-hearted and he feels no pity or sympathy for anyone.”

Here comes the KARMA!

After her tirade on the media, Wilson got a follow-up call from ABC News where her story seemed to change. She began referring to Trump’s words as what he “basically” said, rather than what he definitely said. And near the end of the interview, she even admits that she “didn’t hear the entire conversation” and that she “just can’t remember everything that [Trump] said…”

Wait…WHAT?!

So she is slamming our President for “basically” saying something that she may not even remember entirely… Do you see something WRONG here?

The White House responded to her accusations by assuring America that “the president’s conversations with the families of American heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice are private.”

This lying congresswoman’s career should be ENDED after this harmful stunt. People like Frederica Wilson have NO place in our political system.

Trump digs in over call to soldier’s widow: ‘I didn’t say what the congresswoman said’

Donald Trump dug in on Wednesday as his comments about fallen soldiers spiralled into the second major dispute of his political career with a bereaved military family.

Speaking to reporters in the White House, Trump contradicted the accounts of Sgt La David Johnson’s mother and a Florida congresswoman, who were in the car with the soldier’s widow, Myeshia Johnson, when Trump called her. They listened to the conversation on speakerphone.

Both women said the president told Myeshia Johnson that her husband, who was killed in an ambush in Niger two weeks ago, “knew what he signed up for”.

But Trump said: “I didn’t say what that congresswoman said. Didn’t say it at all – she knows it. I had a very nice conversation with the woman, the wife, who sounded like a lovely woman.”

Earlier, Trump had claimed in a tweet that he had “proof” that congresswoman Frederica Wilson’s account was a fabrication.Image result for trump@realDonaldTrump:Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!

When asked by reporters about this alleged “proof”, Trump simply said twice: “Let her make her statement again.”

Wilson promptly tweeted to say she stood by her account. She wrote: “I still stand by my account of the call b/t Donald Trump and Myeshia Johnson. That is her name, Mr Trump. Not ‘the woman’ or ‘the wife’.”

Trump’s remarks came after the soldier’s mother, Cowanda Jones-Johnson, spoke to the Associated Press via Facebook message to say she was in the car and heard the phone call. “The statement is true,” she said.

Jones-Johnson added that “not only did he disrespect my son” but Trump was disrespectful to her son’s widow. Jones-Johnson said she did not record the conversation.

Congresswoman Wilson said she travelled with Myeshia Johnson and Cowanda Jones-Johnson on the way to Miami international airport to receive the body of La David Johnson when Trump called, and heard the conversation.

When asked by Miami station WPLG if she indeed heard Trump say he “knew what he signed up for”, Wilson answered: “Yeah, he said that. To me, that is something that you can say in a conversation, but you shouldn’t say that to a grieving widow.” She added: “That’s so insensitive.”

Wilson told CNN: “The president evidently is lying, because what I said is true.”Trump-Wilson-777x437.jpgEscalating the criticism of the president, Wilson said: “He doesn’t even know how to sympathize with people. We’re grieving. This is a grieving community. It’s disgraceful for him to even tweet about this. And as I say, this gentleman has a brain disorder and he needs to be checked out.”

This is not the first time Trump has quarrelled with a grieving military family – something once considered unthinkable for a leading politician.

Dreamers, or the American Dream Killers?
7oB4XrrjuHRgGJgGJrlYrsG0QLqebAN0SK6-YnQGZRc8KMPVWPdtZKD-uGkhVLV0-jxWX_uJwRsup9p2IBnborn089vawCnY94f1eiGL1fnqmZU6pfAjsDNsmMwu3NI=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Political Editors:  As Congress considers legislation regarding  DACA and the so-called “Dreamers,” it’s worth noting the effect immigration — illegal immigration in particular — has on the American Dream.

Recently the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) released its latest study on the financial cost of illegal immigration on American taxpayers. While the mainstream media often touts illegal immigration as being a boon for the economy, the actual burden of the growing illegal population on Americans is conveniently ignored. FAIR’s study calculates that illegal immigrants are costing taxpayers $116 billion annually even after the economic tax revenues associated with illegal alien labor have been factored in.
These expenses are borne out in three primary areas: Medical care, public education and law enforcement. Another factor often ignored is that state and local governments bear the brunt of these expenses. An estimated $88.9 billion falls on state and local government, while the federal government bears $45.8 billion annually. Once again, the legislators in Washington are insulated from the consequences of their own policies.
Another example of illegal immigrants’ impact on American workers is via the federal government’s immigrant worker permit programs. In fiscal year 2017, the fed doled out nearly two million permits, with approximately 1.5 million going to illegals. Matthew J. O'Brien, research director at FAIR, stated, “This [H-1B worker permit program] creates an incentive for people to accept lower wages in exchange for being in the United States and having a shot at an employment-based green card.” So, both American workers and immigrants are being taken advantage of by these programs, as wages have effectively been driven down. So much for the American Dream, right?
Thus, an increasingly heavy tax burden is being foisted onto the American worker as a result of a growing illegal population while at the same time Americans’ wages are being undercut by the fed granting a massive number of work permits to illegals. Is it any wonder why Americans are so frustrated with their government?

{rickwells.us} ~ Once again it is Judicial Watch that is investigating the investigators in the DC Swamp and exposing their corruption and failure to prosecute criminals.. They’re finding a problem which is endemic and goes well beyond liar-Hillary Clinton and the liar-nObama regime, to include a broad swath of the deep state subversive, anti-American bureaucracy, of which they are a key component. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton revealed today that the US State Department now admits it received from the FBI, 2,800 Huma Abedin work-related documents. They were discovered on the laptop of her sex-offender husband, the guy who will send anything to anybody and is headed to prison because some of it was sexual in nature and sent to a minor. Yet Abedin is not in custody. In fact she’s free to roam the world, having just accompanied her co-conspirator and partner in crime, liar-Hillary Clinton, to London for her “book tour.” Abedin was liar-Clinton’s deputy chief of staff while she was Secretary of State and is already known to have been trafficking in classified materials and sending them to the unsecured bootleg home server... https://rickwells.us/fitton-fbi-clinton-abedin-laptop/

The amount clown-Schumer wrote off is roughly equivalent to the median household income of $59,039 in 2016. A report from the Tax Policy Center found that eliminating the deduction would save the federal government $1.3 trillion over 10 years, and would hit wealthy taxpayers the hardest. “Taxpayers with incomes over $100,000 would have the largest tax increases both in dollars and as a percentage of income...  http://dailycaller.com/2017/10/18/chuck-schumer-wrote-off-58000-last-year-using-tax-deduction-hes-trying-to-save/?utm_medium=email

{dailycaller.com} ~ Unions across the country donated $765 million dollars to various organizations over the last four years, and 99 percent of that cash went to liberal-leaning causes... Labor unions gave $764,952,394 to left-wing special interests between 2012 and 2016 according to the Center for Union Facts. Of the nearly $765 million, 99 percent of union political contributions went to left-wing causes. The Center for Union Facts compiled a comprehensive database of information about labor unions in the United States: outlining union spending, salary information, dues revenue data, and more using data from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).  DOL data show between 2012 and 2016, roughly $240 million went to left-wing political groups. Labor unions gave $77 million to special interest groups and another $13 million to environmental groups. Over $25 million went to groups like the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the Rainbow Push Coalition...And that is the reason I am losing one of my pension.  http://dailycaller.com/2017/10/13/confirmed-99-percent-of-union-donations-go-to-liberal-leaning-causes/?utm_medium=email

{townhall.com} ~ Free at last! Free at last! That's the message for millions who don't get health coverage at work and, until now, faced two dismal options: going without insurance or paying liar-nObamacare's soaring premiums. Last week, President Donald Trump announced regulatory changes that will potentially allow consumers to choose coverage options costing half what liar-nObamacare's cheapest bronze plans cost. Democrats are already accusing the president of kneecapping liar-nObamacare, but in fact these changes will actually reduce the number of uninsured -- something Democrats claim is their goal.

The Affordable Care Act requires everyone to buy the one-size-fits-all Washington-designed benefit package. You have to pay for maternity care, even if you're too old to give birth. You're also on the hook for pediatric dental care, even if you're childless. It's like passing a law that the only car you can buy is a fully loaded, four-door sedan. No more hatchbacks, convertibles or two-seaters.

Trump's taking the opposite approach -- allowing consumers choice. His new regulation would free people to once again buy short-term health plans that exclude many costly services such as inpatient drug rehab. These plans are not guaranteed renewable year to year. The upside is they cost much less.

Short-term plans have been around for years. But after liar-nObamacare premiums began soaring, these plans became very attractive to people who were not eligible for an liar-nObamacare subsidy and balked at paying full freight. Hundreds of thousands of customers signed up for these short-term plans -- that is, until the liar-Obama administration slammed the door shut. A year ago, liar-Obama slapped a 90-day limit on these plans, as a way to force people into liar-nObamacare, no matter how unaffordable. His way or the highway.

Trump is removing liar-nObama's 90-day limit, re-opening that low-cost option. That's good news for some 8 million people currently getting whacked with an liar-nObamacare tax penalty for not having insurance, and another 11 million uninsured who avoided the penalty by pleading hardship. Count on many of them to buy coverage when they have an affordable option. That will reduce the number of uninsured.

Yet, Democrats are ranting that Trump's regulatory changes are sabotaging the Affordable Care Act. They warn that healthy people will abandon the liar-nObamacare exchanges to buy these low-cost plans, destabilizing the system.

Of course they will. Why shouldn't they? After all, liar-nObamacare unfairly forces the healthy to pay the same for insurance as the chronically ill. Healthy people never reach their sky-high deductibles. Instead, the premiums extorted from them are used to cover huge medical bills for the sick, who consume 10 times as much health care. Of course, people with pre-existing conditions should be subsidized, but instead of burdening healthy insurance buyers in the individual market, the entire nation should chip in. That's what Republican liar-nObamacare replacement bills proposed.

liar-nObamacare's community pricing is the biggest reason premiums have soared since 2013.

That hasn't been a problem for the millions getting subsidies. But it is clobbering the 8.8 million people who get no subsidies from Uncle Sam. Their premiums have more than doubled since 2014 and are set to go up another 25 percent to 35 percent this winter. Expect many of these customers to bail out and buy the cheaper options available because of Trump's new regulation.

A less-detailed part of Trump's announcement gives the green light to so-called association insurance plans, which would allow small employers and perhaps even individuals to group together across state lines. The purpose would be to give them the same purchasing clout as large, multistate employers. Time will tell whether these work out.

Yesterday, Trump seized the initiative after Congressional Republicans fell flat on their faces and failed to address the pain liar-nObamacare is inflicting on consumers stuck in the individual insurance market.

The president should keep going with his regulatory pen. What's next? Trump should use his discretion to stop enforcing the tax penalty on those who don't buy liar-nObamacare-compliant plans, including people seizing the chance to buy affordable short-term plans.

Then Trump should cancel the sweetheart deal his predecessor weaseled for members of Congress and their staff members. Even though the Affordable Care Act requires them to purchase their coverage on liar-nObamacare exchanges and follow the same rules as the rest of us, liar-nObama arranged for them to have a choice of 57 gold plans and have John Q. Public pick up most of their costs. It's an outrage.

Once members of Congress are feeling the same pain as everyone else, they'll be more focused on repealing and replacing the dysfunctional health law. In the meantime, Trump is wisely providing relief where it counts the most -- in people's wallets.
