I received the following supposed budget cuts from a friend. While I haven't been able to verify every cent, if even some of them are correct, this is shocking.
My question is, what is all this doing in the budget in the first place? If, indeed, these figures are accurate, they are only the tip of the iceberg. There is a lot of waste in the military budget just as, I'm sure, in every Federal bureaucracies' budgets. We should scrub all of them to the essentials.
Also, BEFORE we allow congress resort to raising our taxes to support their profligate spending, we should do a salary and benefit review of their compensation packages. They've voted themselves far better benefits than an average American enjoys, yet there is no penalty for them if they do a poor job. The worst that can happen is they are voted out of office and collect their pension and benefits. Bet you'd like a job like that!
We should demand that Congress re-evaluate all of our foreign aid expenditures as well as our participation in, and contribution to, the United Nations. It's become very one sided in our funding and hosting them yet very little support for our interests or initiatives. We'd be better served to establish strong alliances with countries that have similar interests and aspirations and lend our foreign aid to them--and only them.
It is time to stop borrowing money to give away to other countries and wasting on inefficient government programs at home. It is unconscionable that we would allow our government to saddle future generations with a debt that they have had no say in how the money was spent. Essentially this is TAXATION (of the yet to be born) without any REPRESENTATION! The very principle that drove our separation from England.

Maybe this is why the Democrats are attacking Paul Ryan.
Comments
And we quit sending money and support to the brotherhood terrorist getting ready to stike Israel and the USA... They are here and when they start its not going to be pretty..
Here is the proper response to Obscumbos position that Romenys lowering of taxes would raise a sufficient amount of money to run the country -- Yes, tax cuts plus these Ryan Budget cuts will promote decrease in fiscally irresponsible spending AND save tax payer money -- Obscumbo did not tie with Romney -- Obscumbo lost again HE is a LOSER!!!!
#1 IN MY BOOK!
PUT FED BANKSTERS IN PRISON AND FIND WHERE THEY HID THE GOLD IN FORT KNOX THAT THEY REMOVED!
It will come to the surface and Jarrett will be responisble as well as Hillary and Obama. I just pray it will not happen AFTER the election. GOD PLEASE HELP US.
I DON'T THINK IT WAS OBAMA WHO SENT RICE OUT THERE. FIRST OF ALL, IT'S VALERIE JARRETT WHO RUNS THIS ADMINISTRATION & SHE LOOKS OUT FOR HIS BACK. I WILL BET YOU ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY IF IT EVER COMES TO THE SURFACE, THIS WAS ALL ARRANGD BY JARRETT, SHE IS HIS PROTECTOR. CERTAINLY SHE & AXELROD MAY HAVE CONSULTED BUT IT'S CALLED CYA, & IT'S OBAMA'S ASS THAT WAS COVERED FOR POLITICAL REASONS. WHAT ELSE?
If it is NOT in the Constitution it has NO business being "funded" by Congress period! Send it back to the states!
Ok Mark, where are the cuts that Obama is willing to make besides the military budget and the over 700 billion he has already robbed from Medicare to pay a down payment on ObamaCare?
As usual, we have mega-smoke and mirrors.... Ryan's "cuts" are a joke, and anyone who thought he and Mittens were actually going to cut spending is part of the problem...
this is only the tip of the ice berg...there are seperate funding programs within programs, that the people that work there dont even know about. washington is just full of these cobwebs, of money that seeps everywhere, and nobody even knows where it all goes. when i was in the government, we had this form, we had to fill out everyday with data..it would take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours..we then forwarded on. one day i called the agency that receives our data, and i asked her what did she do with it, she told me that she added some of her data to it, then forwarded on...it took five seperate phone calls, with similar answers, and nobody knew why or where the information went, and nobody could explain why.
