Government by shutting down business and isolating people will never be the cure but it will be the cause of epidemics and death. Hospitals cannot treat patients, adequately, with other ailments, thus worsening their condition to death or near death; a vulnerable and dangerous situation for every American.
The Federal and State Governments have created a far more injurious situation to all Americans by shutting down society and the economy. It seems common sense has vacated the minds of people who are entrusted with our health and safety. They are not thinking clearly but instead are in a panic mode to what seems to protect themselves politically, yet unwisely. Throwing money at this virus is a waste of time;a ludicrous move that will accomplish nothing but an unintended consequence of neglecting the rest of ill patients hurting and dying from other causes; ultimately blamed on the virus when in fact it sets these otherwise, would be hopeful and recovering patients sentencing them to inevitable death due to allocating most medical resources to a spook virus, which only affects only a minute percent of people. If this is not suicide then it is outright genocide.
How can a whole of a people of a Nation be so irrationally dictated to by an extremely irrational Government reaction. Thousands of people die every year in this Country; now most deaths will be blamed on a virus no matter what other underlying causes of death may be, therefore, justifying more societal restrictions and limitations on movement and freedom.
Even faced with medical facts people are still hysterical enough not to see and understand them.
Again, over 80,000 people died from the virus last year, however, again there were other underlying factors causing death; the medical industry does not want this well advertised so they clump these death together with a virus. Why? Answer: federal funds for their pet projects and wealth for themselves and their industry.
It is a respiratory illness ! Think! China has the most air pollution; Italy the same etc. etc. etc.. .We too have that same problem. Here where Common Sense departs from our Leaders. They are not scientists; but some of the scientists are misleading them into political destruction. Maybe, not too far fetched, they, the scientists, want to be eventually the new government themselves. If that is the scenario, genocide is not too far off for a major portion of our society. This could be the real que d'état; the real motive to mislead the government and its people. Takeover by default!!!

The massive economic stimulus package is intended to buoy the flagging economy, which has been wracked by the damage from the coronavirus pandemic as it spreads across the country and causes businesses to shut down and lay off workers. An agreement on the bill, which passed the Senate unanimously in a 96-to-0 vote Thursday, was reached after five days of intense negotiations between senators and senior members of the Trump administration. Lawmakers rushed back to Washington, D.C. on Thursday after Representative Thomas Massie, a Kentucky Republican, indicated he may delay the bill by demanding a recorded vote requiring at least 216 members to appear on the floor. The bill passed by a voice vote after lawmakers defeated Massie’s attempt to demand a recorded vote. “Members are advised that it is possible this measure will not pass by voice vote,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Thursday, adding that members should “follow the guidance of their local and state health officials” but if they are “able and willing” to be in Washington by 10 a.m. on Friday they are “encouraged to do so with caution.” The bill, the third coronavirus stimulus package passed by Congress, provides $367 billion in loans to help small businesses hit hard by the outbreak to keep making payroll, $100 billion for hospitals, and $150 billion for state and local governments. The plan also provides for Americans who make up to $75,000 to receive a one-time payment of $1,200. A $500 billion fund earmarked for corporations that have been economically damaged by the pandemic will be overseen by an inspector general and a congressional panel, in accordance with Democrats’ demands. U.S. coronavirus cases rose by 15,000 on Thursday, bumping the total number of infected individuals to more than 82,100, above the number the virus has sickened in China, where the virus outbreak began, and Italy, which has been hit particularly hard by the pandemic. Boris Johnson tests positive for coronavirus

In a video message posted to his Twitter account Friday, he explained he had developed "mild symptoms" over the last 24 hours -- "a temperature and a persistent cough." "On the advice of the chief medical officer I have taken a test. That has come out positive, so, I am working from home," Johnson said. "I’m self-isolating. And that’s entirely the right thing to do." "But, be in no doubt that I can continue thanks to the wizardry of modern technology to communicate with all my top team to lead the national fight back against coronavirus," he added. The White House says President Trump spoke with Johnson today, where he "thanked the Prime Minister for his close friendship and wished him a speedy recovery." Johnson's diagnosis comes just a couple of days after Prince Charles revealed a positive test. U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced Friday that he has it as well -- and like Johnson, is now working from home. "I'll be self-isolating here until next Thursday," Hancock said. The United Kingdom, like many other countries around the world fighting the coronavirus, has rolled out a series of orders for non-essential businesses to close and residents to remain indoors unless otherwise necessary. Health-care rationing already exists, especially for the sick and elderly, and worries about tight hospital supplies have sparked discussions about keeping medical care from elderly coronavirus patients even though U.S. hospitals are not yet as overwhelmed as other nations’ hospitals are. MSN News recently reported that U.S. hospitals are discussing “do not resuscitate” orders for coronavirus patients, “regardless of the wishes of the patient or their family members.” The justification is that anywhere from eight to 30 hospital staff are required to attempt to resuscitate such a patient, and the process for doing so would put medical personnel in danger of contracting the virus and use up crucial medical products that are in short supply. If the United States gets to the desperate point other nations such as Italy have, lacking the medical equipment and personnel to treat all critical coronavirus patients, triage will be necessary. Yet it is crucial that triage decisions such as these do not discriminate based solely on age or disability, writes ethics professor Charles Camosy: New York state put together a protocol back in 2008 titled ‘Allocation of Ventilators in a Public Health Disaster’ largely reaffirmed in 2015 designed for a moment like ours. Wisely, our state insists that age and health problems or disabilities unrelated to what is causing the epidemic shouldn’t serve as the basis for rationing. Prognosis for recovery is what matters. A New York hospital could choose to give its last ventilator to the 72-year-old marathon runner rather than to the 57-year-old pack-a-day smoker. Again, based only on prognosis for recovery. The objectivity of the standard removes much of the physician’s subjective ideology from the picture. "The Trump Presidency is Over," declared a headline in the Atlantic... One article in Politico said, "The Pandemic Is the End of Trumpism." A New York Times op-ed column carried the headline, "The Era of Small Government Is Over." Well, yes. At least so far as that last article is concerned. The era of small government has been over for decades if it ever happened at all. The highpoint of Republican and conservative efforts to limit the size and scope of the federal Leviathan was either Ronald Reagan's 1982 budget or the scumbag/liar-Clinton-Gingrich welfare reform of 1996. Then the GOP abandoned its plans for minimal government. Even the Tea Party insurgency—which began as a rebellion against standpatters in the Republican establishment—protested cuts to Medicare and achieved little more than a sequester that severely damaged military readiness. And, of course, the current Republican president was elected on a pledge not to touch senior health care and retirement benefits. No small-government conservative, he. What the moment requires is some intellectual modesty. It is far too early in the development of this national emergency to make definitive judgments on its political, economic, social, and cultural effects. We might as well explore alternative scenarios. For example: The coronavirus might not signify a conclusion to or beginning of a historical era, so much as an acceleration of previously germinating inclinations.This quickening is most visible in the United States Senate. It was the youthful and heterodox members of the Republican conference who first recognized the severity of the challenges emanating from Wuhan, China. As Congress put together its economic relief bill, these lawmakers did not worry about violating free-market dogma. They recognized the extraordinary nature of the situation. Their primary concern was the fate of the unemployed. In so far as "Trumpism," to the degree that it exists, describes a political tendency that is suspicious of overseas commitments, international trade, and unchecked immigration, and more worried about the rise of China than the revanchism of Russia, this pandemic does not spell the "end." It may even serve as vindication. The Republican senators most widely seen as preparing to run for president in 2024 have used the past few weeks to articulate a conservatism that is more heavily weighted toward security than freedom. Tom Cotton has a bill, cosponsored by Mike Gallagher in the House, to end U.S. dependence on the Chinese manufacture of pharmaceuticals. Josh Hawley introduced an "Emergency Family Relief Act" that was much more ambitious than the for now onetime payments included in the economic triage bill. Marco Rubio designed the small-business lending component that is essential to the CARES Act. They all criticized the Chinese government for lying about the coronavirus as it spread throughout the world....

The problems relate to how Americans view the role of government in their lives and to the belief that government money can always fix problems. Let's look at the money issue first. The immediate reaction of our government to the virus threat was to spend massive amounts of money. The latest news is that politicians plan to "boost" the economy with nearly two trillion dollars in spending and loans. "The package is coming in at about 10% of GDP. It's very large," says Larry Kudlow. For a plan of this size to sound like a good idea, you need to ignore some important economic facts. Our country has unbelievable levels of debt, and our debt is rising rapidly. The numbers are staggering. The debt clock shows U.S. debt at $23 trillion nearly 110% of the GDP and unfunded liabilities of $77 trillion. That's a conservative estimate. Boston University economist Laurence Kotlikoff, an expert on the national debt, says, "The true size of our fiscal problem is $222 trillion...20 times bigger than the official debt." He says, "The government has gone out of its way to run up a Ponzi scheme and keep evidence of that off the books by using language to make it appear that we have a small debt." We are on the Titanic, headed for the debt iceberg. In brief moments of clear vision, we see the iceberg and know we must change course to avoid disaster. But a self-imposed fog allows us to pretend things are fine. Do not look away. Look directly at this problem. It's real. Things that are unsustainable cannot be sustained. Reality always bats last. There is also an important moral dimension to new spending programs. The government has spent all of its income and much more, so we should think of new spending programs as simply more debt being piled onto our children and grandchildren. The required first sentence of any new spending bill should be, "Our current consumption is more important to us than any burden we will place on future generations, therefore let's place this much more debt on them." It is immoral to ignore the burden of the deficit on future generations. We are digging a hole for them that they will never get out of. Government debt is a government claim on future incomes. It is an unpaid tax bill. You can make the case that big deficit spending is warranted to protect current and future citizens in a time of war. Some level of spending is warranted in the fight against this virus. But look at the big picture of government expansion over the last several decades as the administrative state grew and the deficit exploded. Does it make you a caring person if you propose "free health care" for everyone, including illegal aliens? No, it makes you a dangerous fool. In the socialist dream world, there will never be a day of reckoning for government debt. Stephanie Kelton, an economic adviser to commie-Bernie Sanders, said, "If you control your own currency and you have bills that are coming due, it means you can always afford to pay the bills on time. You can never go broke; you can never be forced into bankruptcy." Governments that have tried this approach have ended up with money that looks like this 50-trillion-dollar bill from Zimbabwe. It's real paper money. But this $50 trillion wouldn't buy much. In Venezuela, the inflation rate is around 53 million percent. That means everything costs more every day. And with socialist destruction of the economy, there are far fewer things to buy. This kind of money does help with the toilet paper shortage, though....

Last week, the Hoover Institution’s Russ Roberts asked his many twitter followers to help ‘create a list of voluntary (non-coercive) actions taking place right now to reduce COVID-19 spread or impact.’ The answers are too inspiring not to share.”
“First, many of Roberts’ followers shared a list the benefits offered by their employers that help to alleviate workers’ financial hardships or ensure their health is protected. For instance, Walmart, Target, Gap, and many other firms announced that they will provide up to two weeks of paid leave to every worker who is sick or taking care of sick family members.”
“Even companies that rely on self-employed contractors are stepping during this crisis. Uber, for example, emailed its customers to inform them that ‘Any driver or delivery person who is diagnosed with COVID-19 or is individually asked to self-isolate by a public health authority will receive financial assistance for up to 14 days while their account is on hold,’ adding, ‘We’ve already helped drivers in some affected areas, and we’re working to quickly implement this worldwide.’”

{ news.usni.org } ~ Hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH-20) will leave for New York City on Saturday, with President Donald Trump and Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly on hand to see off the ship from Naval Station Norfolk, Va. ...Trump announced today he would travel to Norfolk on Saturday “to bid bon voyage to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH-20) as it leaves for New York City to the frontlines of the COVID-19 virus response. The USNS Comfort will sail well ahead of its originally scheduled departure time to answer America’s call to battle against the global pandemic here at home,” reads a White House news release. Earlier in the day, Modly said in a Pentagon press briefing that “we’ve accelerated the plan for Comfort. We had originally been looking at April 3, but in all likelihood she’s going to be getting underway this weekend. So hopefully she’ll be there in New York by the early part of next week.” Modly said at the briefing that he would visit the ship before it left to support the American city hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, but he did not specify exactly which day he would visit or the ship would depart. Asked at the briefing when Comfort would arrive at New York City Harbor, Modly said, “it will all depend on her transit time and how well she’s functioning on the route up there.” The hospital ship, a converted San Clemente-class super tanker that has provided global medical support under the Military Sealift Command for 33 years, was undergoing maintenance work in Norfolk when Trump announced the ship would be deployed to support New York’s COVID-19 outbreak. Comfort will not take on infected patients but will rather care for patients with other needs – emergency surgeries, trauma care and more – to free up beds and doctors at New York hospitals so they can deal with the virus. USNI News reported that major maintenance actions were accelerated and other minor work was deferred to allow for the ship to be buttoned up, staffed and supplied in time for this weekend’s deployment. Comfort’s sister ship, USNS Mercy (T-AH-19), departed San Diego on Monday and should pull into Los Angeles tomorrow, after at-sea training and ballasting this week. The White House statement adds that “over 1,200 medical personnel and critical supplies will be onboard the vessel. They will bring to bear the skills, care, and compassion needed to wage this fight against an invisible enemy. Faced with an existential threat, EU member states, far from joining together to confront the pandemic as a unified bloc, instinctively are returning to pursuing the national interest. After years of criticizing U.S. President Donald J. Trump for pushing an "America First" policy, European leaders are reverting to the very nationalism they have publicly claimed to despise. Ever since the threat posed by coronavirus came into focus, Europeans have displayed precious little of the high-minded multilateral solidarity that for decades has been sold to the rest of the world as a bedrock of European unity. The EU's unique brand of soft power, said to be a model for a post-national world order, has been shown to be an empty fiction. In recent weeks, EU member states have closed their borders, banned exports of critical supplies and withheld humanitarian aid. The European Central Bank, the guarantor of the European single currency, has treated with unparalleled disdain the eurozone's third-largest economy, Italy, in its singular hour of need. The member states worst affected by the pandemic — Italy and Spain — have been left by the other member states to fend for themselves. The seeds of the European Union were planted in the ashes of the Second World War. Starting immediately, anyone coming into the state from New York state will be mandated to self-quarantine for 14 days, the governor said. “No matter how you come to Rhode Island – bus, car, train, plane – you are ordered to quarantine for 14 days,” Raimondo said. “In my judgement this is the most prudent form of action in light of the crisis.” Members of the National Guard will be stationed at train and bus stations to gather the contact information of anyone coming in from New York. In addition, the Rhode Island State Police will station troopers at the state border to flag down vehicles with New York license plates. The information collected will be used only for contact tracing by the Rhode Island Department of Health, Raimondo said. “This is different. This is unusual. This is radical,” Raimondo said. “I don’t want anyone to panic. If anything, Rhode Islanders should breathe a sigh of relief. Whatever they’d envisioned, the $2 trillion bill agreed to by the Senate in the wee hours of Wednesday morning wasn’t it. As congressional leaders assembled the spending bill, the push for clean energy drew fierce opposition from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and conservative critics, who accused Democrats of trying to exploit the urgent need for coronavirus relief to foist an environmental agenda on a wounded country. “Some folks in Congress and in other parts of Washington, D.C. are suggesting this is a bunch of liberals angling for the Green New Deal, and these are coastal elites that just want to pad their investments in clean energy,” says Bob Keefe, executive director of Environmental Entrepreneurs, or E2, a nonpartisan group of business leaders and investors. “It’s not.” Most people in the clean energy sector are “boot strap-and-jeans guys,” Keefe says. “These are everyday Americans who are struggling.” Here’s where stimulus negotiations currently stand. The wind and solar industry asked for extension of tax credits and other supportive provisions. They were cut out entirely. Solar power lobbyists have warned that half the industry’s jobs are at risk as a result of the pandemic. Some solar panels are stranded in other countries, and even when supplies are on hand, lockdown orders are preventing workers from installing panels. Where oil refineries are generally exempt from shelter-in-place requirements, the waiver doesn’t extend to all renewable energy ventures. Wind developers are racing to get projects in service so they don’t lose some of the value of the renewable energy tax credits that will start being phased out for turbines next year. Colorado-based Scout Clean Energy, for instance, is racing to finish construction on a 200-megawatt project in South Dakota. At the same time, it’s seeking to renegotiate power-purchase agreements in anticipation that the work might not be done in time to claim the full production tax credit, says chief executive Michael Rucker....
Will Wasteful Provisions in Coronavirus Relief Package Come Back to Haunt Congress?
by americanactionnews.com ~ The need for a massive economic stimulus to jump-start the stalled economy during the coronavirus pandemic is shared on both sides of the political aisle...Unfortunately, some provisions in the widely believed soon-to-be passed bill will have a harmful effect. Workers in low-wage jobs have a greater incentive to stay unemployed instead of returning to work. Others have nothing to do with the immediate crisis. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) – which the House of Representatives is expected to vote on Friday – includes the funding for the African Development Fund (ADF), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the International Development Association (IDA). The ADF and the AfDB are two related organizations that help fund development and poverty eradication efforts in Africa, whereas the IDA is a subsidiary of the World Bank that gives to poor countries in general. Combined, they will receive more than $10.8 billion under the CARES Act. This amount includes $7,286,587,008 for the AfDB, $513,900,000 for the ADF and $3,004,200,000 for the IDA. As the costliest stimulus measure in U.S. history, the bill has generated a mixed and often-conflicted reaction even from those advocating for it. The package contains sorely needed relief for struggling workers facing layoffs as businesses are forced to temporarily shutter on an unprecedented scale in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus. Life has changed completely, as children and students of all ages have been sent home and their institutions shuttered for almost one and a half months, and perhaps much longer. Already one citizen has died, and more than 1,000 have been sickened in varying degrees. More than 150,000 Israelis who have been quarantined, completely cut off from life, sometimes sitting in one room for 14 days. All of these measures are placing a tremendous strain on our economy and the ability of our nation to function. Nonetheless, so far, Israel has acted with a national understanding that these steps are what it takes to be victorious over an invisible and deadly enemy. When the coronavirus leaves us and life returns to some semblance of normalcy, it will only be a matter of time before our terrorist enemies once again test us with a barrage of rockets and missiles targeting our civilian population centers. Our responses in recent years to this have been minimal, to say the least. More often than not, our political decision-makers decide to bomb a few empty buildings and then seek a truce with the offending party, whether Hamas or Palestine Islamic Jihad. “TERRIBLE” Coronavirus Bill
by rightwingamericans.com ~ In case you hadn’t heard, the Democrats threw a wrench into the works on Sunday and Monday when all but ONE of their Senators voted against the bipartisan bill... designed to relieve pressure on the economy and send money to American workers. On Tuesday, during a Fox News town hall, President Donald Trump took aim at House liar-Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her Congressional colleagues for denying American people the support they need. He also exposed the “terrible” nature of the bill Democrats proposed in its place. Specifically, Trump exposed how the proposed replacement legislation is packed full of measures that the Democrats have been trying to get passed for years, but have consistently failed to do. Why do the Democrats think the American people want their insane proposals at a time of national crisis? “I cancelled the deal last night, I said, ‘I’m not gonna sign that deal,’ because liar-Nancy Pelosi came in and put a lot of things in the deal that had nothing to do with the workers,” Trump told Fox. “It had to do with an agenda that they’ve been trying to get passed for 10 years. And, I came in, I told Mike Pence, I told a lot of people, ‘there’s no way I’m signing that deal.’” The president also explained how he had received calls from Republican Senator for Louisiana John Kennedy, Republican Senator for Nebraska Ben Sasse, and various other people who told him “This deal is terrible, what they’ve done.” During the town hall event, Trump also explained how the Republicans had worked on a bipartisan basis to construct a bill that could be supported on both sides of the aisle. Despite working in good faith with the Democrats, however, it was shot down when it came to the vote. Trump said they “almost had a deal” on the stimulus bill. “They took a deal, you know we almost had a deal the day before and it was between scumbag-Schumer and Mitch and it was really a good solid deal,” President Trump explained. “All of a sudden they start throwing all of the little Green New Deal stuff in, right? And the boardrooms, what they look like, and we want green energy, we want all this stuff…they had things in there that were terrible.” So what does this mean? Well, Americans shouldn’t expect any support from the government until the Democrats decided to stop playing games. Had liar-Pelosi and the Democrats supported the legislation, Americans who earn under $75,000 per year would have been given $1,200 to help navigate through the coronavirus pandemic. Members of both parties worked through the weekend to come to an agreement and, at the last minute, liar-Pelosi decided it would be better for the House to introduce their own coronavirus relief plan. Her reasoning? There weren't enough progressive items in the bill and Democrats saw this as the perfect opportunity to fundamentally transform America into what they think it should be. Senators who were part of the negotiations and agreed to the bill before liar-Pelosi blew it up decided to follow liar-Pelosi's lead. But not every Democrat is happy with the party's hyper-partisanship, especially as Americans across the country are suffering. Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) was the only Democrat to vote in favor of cloture on Monday, which would fast-track the proposed Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. Even though he voted alongside Republicans, Democrats were able to get their way, yet again. The motion failed with a vote of 49-46. Jones told CNN's Manu Raji he's "embarrassed" by the political games that are taking place. The Senate is expected to vote on the Wuhan coronavirus relief package sometime Wednesday evening, assuming no further delays take place..

{ opensecrets.org } ~ Powerful companies and trade groups with sway in Washington are asking for more than $2.7 trillion in grants, loans and other assistance amid the coronavirus pandemic... And that’s only those that have put a price tag on the financial aid they need. Congress is poised to provide far less than that. The Senate unanimously passed a bipartisan $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief bill Wednesday that will establish a $450 billion lending program to support struggling businesses and provide $350 billion in loans to small businesses. The House is expected to pass the bill and President Donald Trump has said he will sign it. Lobbying groups representing various business interests requested direct assistance for their members, but many of those companies will now have to battle with others for government loans. Only a couple of industries received specified aid. Airlines and airports, among the first industries to ask for government assistance, are big winners. Passenger airlines and cargo carriers will receive $29 million in direct grants and up to $29 billion in loans. Airports will get the $10 billion they requested. Aerospace giant Boeing is also likely to receive billions in federal loans thanks to a provision in the bill, the Washington Post reported. Those funds provide crucial assistance to the air transport industry that has steadily increased its lobbying spending, reaching record levels last year. Hospitals will also get much of the assistance they were looking for as they fight COVID-19. The stimulus bill provides $100 billion to hospitals battling the coronavirus pandemic. Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer (D-N.Y.), whose closely tied super PAC is bankrolled by New York hospitals, pushed to secure those funds. Health industry groups including the American Hospital Association called for $100 billion, while for-profit hospitals asked for $225 billion. The health sector has smashed lobbying records in recent years and shown tremendous influence in Congress... .

Harold Hutchison The China Virus has wreaked economic havoc. It has infected tens of thousands of Americans, killing several hundred so far. This is an immense tragedy for all those affected, whether they have lost jobs, health (either temporarily or permanently), or loved ones.
Sadly, it didn’t have to happen. Despite massive disinformation efforts, evidence has emerged that the government of the People’s Republic of China engaged in a cover-up that lasted weeks, if not months. Even as this evidence mounts, the Chinese Communists have spewed the despicable lie that the Wuhan coronavirus is somehow a biological weapon developed by the United States Army.
Mainstream media outlets like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Times of London — all of which are grossly biased against President Donald Trump — have published reports about what the Chinese Communists knew, when they knew it, and how they tried to keep that knowledge from the world. The Financial Times has some even more damning reports about how Taiwan’s warnings to the World Health Organization were ignored.
Take a look at this January 14 post on Twitter from the WHO. Take a look at what life in America is like as of today, and what has been in the news. Reread what those mainstream outlets have reported about how the government of Communist China responded and how Taiwan’s warning was ignored.
China fed the world lies and propaganda for weeks to cover up the existence of the Wuhan coronavirus, and at the very least the WHO went along. It may be more than coincidence that China backed the election of WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in 2017. Ghebreyesus has spent the last two months downplaying the threat, while providing cover and offering fawning praise for the ChiComs.
Moreover, that cover-up cost time — time that could have, at the very least, mitigated the effects of what became a pandemic. Imagine if it hadn’t been covered up. Imagine being worried about how your NCAA bracket is going to turn out instead of whether all the toilet paper has been bought up — or if you’ll receive a paycheck on Friday.
Because of the cover-up orchestrated by the People’s Republic of China and the WHO’s inexcusable failure to heed Taiwan’s warning, Americans have suffered a serious economic hit. Because of this cover-up, Americans have gotten sick. Because of this cover-up, Americans have died. For what? To avoid embarrassing Beijing’s dictator?
When companies perpetrate crap like this that doesn’t cost lives (see Enron), they face class-action lawsuits. Sometimes, executives even go to jail. We don’t exactly have those options when it comes to what was negligence at best and depraved malevolence at worst on the part of the People’s Republic of China. But we can do stuff on multiple fronts to hold the Butchers of Beijing accountable and ensure that this never happens again. The payment for the rebuilding of our economy can, in a way, come from the hide of the People’s Republic of China — primarily by us extricating ourselves from dependence on China for so many goods. { foxnews.com } ~ The $2 trillion spending package to boost the economy in response to the coronavirus crisis includes a $350 million pot of money for “Migration and Refugee Assistance”... the latest item in the legislative behemoth that is angering critics. While a number of items that Republicans objected to got trimmed in the final Senate bill, the Migrant and Refugee Assistance item actually increased by $50 million to $350 million. That's more than the bill put forward by House Democrats earlier this week, which included $300 million in “Migrant and Refugee Assistance” for the State Department. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla, called it a “poison pill” that put “America LAST.” “Democrats: This is not the time to advance your legislative agenda,” he tweeted before the bill passed the Senate late Wednesday. “This is the time to put #AmericaFirst.’ The bill ultimately passed the Senate 96-0 and is expected to pass the House in a voice vote on Friday. It includes a number of measures to boost businesses and help individuals hurt by the economic downturn triggered by the coronavirus pandemic. But it includes controversial items, such as $25 million in funding for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The Senate bill also provides $75 million to each the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. { washingtonexaminer.com } ~ Prominent Republicans eyeing a 2024 White House bid have placed themselves at the epicenter of efforts to blunt the coronavirus pandemic... with some departing from President Trump by proposing an extended and more aggressive economic shutdown. As Trump floats reopening a quarantined national economy by Easter, two Republican senators with presidential aspirations, Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Rick Scott of Florida, support tightening current restrictions and maintaining them for at least 30 days. Scott’s eight-point plan would suspend domestic airline travel and place a moratorium on people’s monthly financial obligations. Cotton advocates nationwide shelter-in-place rules and is urging the administration to heed the recommendations of Anthony Fauci and other experts. “This is the stark truth: we have to arrest the spread of the China virus to get the economy back on its feet & get life back to something like normal,” Cotton tweeted Tuesday. The same day, Trump began discussing the need to balance public health concerns properly with the damage to a stunted economy could have on the public's psyche. Cotton and Scott are among a handful of potential 2024 presidential candidates who have sought to influence the federal government’s response to the coronavirus. Others have been drafted, willingly or not, by virtue of their position in the Trump administration. Vice President Mike Pence was tapped to lead the White House pandemic task force; Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is running point as it relates to coordination and interaction abroad. Marco Rubio of Florida, chairman of the Senate Small Business Committee and a potential 2024 contender, was the lead Republican negotiator of a bipartisan blueprint to rescue small businesses teetering on insolvency because of the pandemic. The measure was a critical component of the $2 trillion coronavirus relief package poised to clear Congress this week. With thousands of businesses endangered and millions poised to lose their jobs, some Republican strategists believe GOP primary voters will reward, or punish, 2024 contenders based on how they responded to the economic fallout. At the very least, some political professionals expect the coronavirus pandemic to affect how Republicans campaign, even if it does not substantially alter what primary voters are looking for in a successor to Trump....

{ timesofisrael.com } ~ Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz is set to partner Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a unity government, serving initially as foreign minister... but then taking over from Netanyahu as prime minister in September 2021, according to a reported deal taking shape amid immense political drama in Israel on Thursday afternoon. Gantz’s decision to join forces with Netanyahu immediately led to the collapse of Blue and White, with the party’s No. 2 Yair Lapid rejecting the move and apparently heading into opposition with others from his Yesh Atid component of Blue and White. “Gantz chose Netanyahu over Lapid,” Channel 12 reported succinctly. Yesh Atid and Moshe Ya’alon’s Telem faction both filed a formal request to break away from Blue and White late on Thursday afternoon, leaving only Gantz’s Israel Resilience Party to join forces with Netanyahu’s Likud. Lapid had reportedly told Gantz he preferred that Israel go to fourth elections rather than see Blue and White partner Netanyahu in power. The coalition is reportedly likely to constitute 78-79 MKs — Likud, Gantz’s Israel Resilience, Labor, Yamina, Shas and United Torah Judaism — according to Channel 12. That would leave Lapid’s Yesh Atid, Ya’alon’s Telem, Avigdor Liberman’s Yisrael Beytenu, Meretz and the mainly Arab Joint List in opposition. However, various other fluctuations are deemed possible, with Yoaz Hendel and Zvi Hauser from Telem, for instance, said to be weighing joining the coalition. The unity deal was taking shape as the Knesset met to vote for a new speaker, following Likud speaker Yuli Edelstein’s resignation on Wednesday. Gantz offered himself as the sole candidate for the Knesset speaker’s job, which he is set to hold only for a brief period while the terms of the unity coalition are finalized. Priorities USA, a liberal super PAC, crafted the ad entitled “Exponential Threat,” and it splices audio of Trump from recent weeks as he made dismissive comments about COVID-19’s severity. At the same time, a visual graphic charts the escalation of case numbers in the U.S., which torpedoes Trump’s claims to have always taken the virus seriously. The ad is being run on TV stations in Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, according to The Hill. The ad uses audio to advance a frequent, misleading claim from Democrats that Trump called the coronavirus a “hoax” at a rally. A fact check by Washington Post explains, however, that Trump was referring to public concerns about the virus and attempts by critics to politicize it against him. Campaign attorney Alex Cannon sent cease and desist letters to all the stations airing the ad, saying they will take legal action if they don’t stop airing it. “PUSA’s advertisement is false, misleading, and deceptive, and we formally demand that your station refuse to continue airing it to meet your responsibilities not to broadcast false information,” the letter says. “Should you fail to immediately cease broadcasting PUSA’s ad ‘Exponential Threat,’ Donald J. The media is pushing this false claim repeatedly. The Arizona couple took fish cleaner. Not a prescribed medication. The Times, like the rest of the media, fails to mention this while pursuing its political narrative. And that's what this is about. Maintaining media supremacy. “I would stop putting those briefings on live TV — not out of spite, but because it’s misinformation,” the MSNBC host Rachel Maddow declared to her viewers last week. The Times is quoting a conspiracy theorist who pushed nonsense and lies to her viewers for years about misinformation. If knows about misinformation, it's Maddow. The White House, in turn, has been critical of TV networks that do not do its bidding. Treatments, Vaccines, and Defeating COVID-19
Mark Alexander The latest mainstream media drama and distraction is centered on politicized claims accusing the HHS/CDC (and, by extension, Donald Trump) for being slow to implement testing for COVID-19 (CV19) infections. While tests are not vaccines, antidotes, or cures, they certainly are instructive in determining viral spread and how to retard it.
As for all the Demo finger pointing, some issues about our national response to CV19 should be fairly debated at the proper time, in hindsight after-action. But those conclusions regarding those issues can’t be fairly assumed now, as the Demos and Leftmedia have done.
One of the physicians who has been a Patriot Post resource for years is a former Army doc and an exceptionally gifted medical analyst. He graduated from a highly esteemed medical school at age 20 and completed seven medical specialty fellowships.
He offered the following assessment on the prospects for CV19 treatment and vaccines: “Healthcare providers from around the world are collaborating as never before to improve treatment results. Anti-viral, antibiotic, inhaled medication, and connective-tissue-disease medications have all shown promise and the world’s medical community has embraced the challenge. We get daily updates from our Seattle, French, and Italian colleagues from the trenches on what is working and what is not (avoid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs!). Outcomes are improving. We are utilizing this information to treat our sickest patients.”
Regarding hopes of a quick vaccine, he notes, “Vaccine is many months away and double-blinded treatment protocols are not being considered (who wants to be in the ‘no treatment’ group?). A vaccine requires a stable locus on the virus (no mutation that would delete the antigen), safety and efficacy data, as well as the ability to mass produce the vaccine. This process usually takes 2-5 years and very few of these ever make it to market. Approximately 87% of would-be vaccines never make it to human testing. We are attempting to greatly accelerate the process, but only so many corners can be cut if we are to have a safe and effective product. It’s worth mentioning that we’ve had the SARS virus around for over a decade and have yet to develop a vaccine for it. A daunting task, but with many brilliant minds, the human spirit, and a healthy dose of prayer, we shall overcome.”
As for the vaccine now being administered in Seattle, the original epicenter of CV19 in the U.S., he adds, “While the vaccine doses being administered there are being used under a ‘compassionate need’ basis, it will take time to know if that vaccine has any effect on prevention.”
In other words, successful treatments and vaccines are not likely to emerge soon.
Additionally, regarding the rise and decline of CV19, Nobel laureate and Stanford biophysicist Michael Levitt believes the virus spread will be much more manageable than current risk assessments trumpeted by the mass media.
According to Levitt, “What we need is to control the panic. … We’re going to be fine. The real situation is not nearly as terrible as they make it out to be.” His analysis indicates that CV19 in the U.S. will follow a similar pattern to that in Asia and will peak sooner than thought. Let’s pray that assessment is correct.

The President panicked, in part, he knows the Americans are a fickle bunch and politicians know how to play them; he also caved in; succumbed to the whims of fools. Can this virus make us any more deader than the last?
Rather than being undermined by the whole of Congress and kowtow governors, he led the charge leading him into a trap, of which he, most likely, realizes now. The socialists are not as nice as they seem; they are dangerous enough to convince the sheep that Trump fumbled the ball either way. They are buying time, very wisely, and we are paying for it. Mass hysteria, by the way, is very costly!
The medical field, also, sees this as the opportune time to realize it is the goose who laid the golden egg; all kinds of equipment, freebees in abundance and grants, as well, just for the grabbing. They, too, are exploiting the system; they know their days could be numbered if they don't grab every penny, and more, to justify their political existence; not, necessarily, their medical existence , but their political existence! There are many racketeers out their grabbing what they can before the Titanic sinks. So, aiding and abetting a falsehood they profit, immensely, at the expense of all the rest of us. Malaria is a major medical problem in India. Anti-malarial medicines are of critical importance there. But now those anti-malarial drugs may be the most potent medical weapon against the Chinese Coronavirus. But as my friends at Clash Daily reported, India is not sharing. India isn’t trying to screw the U.S., they probably are trying to make sure they have enough for their people. As of March 26th, India’s had 716 cases of Covid-19. On the other hand, Israel has a population that is .006 that of India’s and 2,590 cases as of the same date. Israeli pharmaceutical company Teva Pharmaceutical which is also a significant manufacturer of Hydroxychloroquine sulfate said it plans to donate 6 million tablets to U.S. hospitals through wholesalers by March 31st and more than 10 million within a month. All subsequent product manufactured and shipped to wholesalers will also be donated. According to its website, Teva is a global leader in generic and specialty medicines with a portfolio consisting of over 3,500 products in nearly every therapeutic area. The emergency bill will quickly help every worker, business, and the health care system impacted by the coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping the country. The goal of the bill is to provide reinforcement for the economy until the pandemic is gone, businesses can re-open, and workers can go back to work. This aid could last for weeks or months. One of the biggest hurdles for America to overcome is the current and projected unemployment claims. Last week, unemployment claims increased to a dramatic 281,000 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, those were initial numbers posted before companies started laying off or furloughing workers to become compliant with multiple state requests. These requests closed all but life-essential businesses. Projections for unemployment claims over time are much more staggering. Goldman Sachs predicted that unemployment claims could spike to 2.25 million. The left-leaning Economic Policy Institute (EPI) says unemployment claims could rise as high as 3.4 million. Over the last couple of days, President Trump has expressed concern and frustration about the halt to business and its potential devastation to workers and families. On Monday, Trump said that we can’t let the cure be worse than the problem. On other occasions, he has made it clear that workers and businesses who need help are not to blame for the current situation. For workers, the bill will give a one-time direct payment to every adult. Each adult making less than $75,000 per year will receive $1,200. Married couples whose combined income is less than $150,000 will receive $2,400. For every minor child, a $500 payment will be provided. Additionally, the package will help furloughed workers for four months. They will get the regular payments from their state for unemployment plus an additional $600 per week. The bill also has something for those who have student loans. Federal student loan payments will be paused through September and are interest-free. The pause would be automatic and there is nothing borrowers would need to do to take advantage of the payment pause....

However, House liar-Speaker Nancy Pelosi won’t hold a vote on rescue plan until Friday morning at the earlier, the Washington Times reported. She had time to draft a bogus bill last weekend that included a slew of ridiculous, non-related liberal goodies — yet it’s going to take her almost two days to hold a vote on the Senate bill That’s absurd. As the Senate was racing to complete the package on Wednesday, the Democratic-controlled House gaveled in for a pro forma session on Wednesday morning and gaveled out less than three minutes later. Politico’s Jake Sherman noted that the House showed up for less than two minutes on Wednesday and then left. They are supposed to be back on Thursday morning, but still won’t even vote on the relief bill until Friday. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) slammed Democrats for delays in getting the measure completed and approved. “Every one of our fellow citizens has been touched by this public health emergency, anxious about sickness and unprecedented economic uncertainty,” he said. “Our hospitals and healthcare workers are nearing their capacity. They need – and expect – their government to act. This agreement to provide relief to American workers, families, and small businesses is critically important – and should be considered without delay. McCarthy said, “we are already behind.” “For the past three days, Democrat leadership in Congress took their eye off the ball, delaying consideration of this bipartisan-crafted bill,” he said. “They insisted on using this crisis as an opportunity to propose completely unrelated legislation that amounted to an ideological wish list. Our country is on the edge, but we must be in this fight together. It’s time for Washington to start acting that way, and send this bill to the president.” Beyond liar-Pelosi’s antics and refusal to pass the bill immediately, the historic $2 trillion coronavirus bill will bring relief to individuals, small businesses, and larger corporations. The relief package also includes thousands of dollars in direct payments to most Americans — millions of whom face unemployment related to the spread of the virus — as well as a $500 billion loan fund for large corporations and a $367 billion loan program for small businesses....

The Justice Department said on Thursday that Maduro formed and leads his own drug ring, dubbed the Cartel of the Sun, and gives the FARC free rein to operate in parts of Venezuela. Investigators said Maduro and his co-conspirators were being charged with conspiracy to commit narcoterrorism, conspiracy to import hundreds of tons of cocaine into the United States, and a variety of weapons charges. The department said Maduro expressly indented on flooding the U.S. with cocaine to harm the health and well-being of the nation. The chief justice of Venezuela was also charged with international money laundering. Maduro assumed power in Venezuela in 2013 following the death of authoritarian ruler Hugo Chavez. His tenure has been marked by rampant unemployment and poverty in his country, brutal repression, and human rights abuses, with more than 4 million Venezuelans becoming refugees in the largest humanitarian crisis in the Western Hemisphere. The U.S. and much of the world considered Venezuela’s 2018 presidential election illegitimate, and Venezuela’s National Assembly refused to recognize Maduro’s second presidential inauguration in January 2019. The National Assembly selected Juan Guaido to be its leader, and Guaido announced that he would serve as interim president with the support of the National Assembly, citing the Venezuelan Constitution. The U.S. and nearly 60 countries worldwide recognize Guaido, not Maduro, as the legitimate leader of the country. The State Department already has imposed hundreds of sanctions against Venezuelan companies and individuals linked to the ruling Venezuelan regime, and the Trump administration imposed penalties against Venezula’s government, its central bank, and its state-run oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela....

ULA will send an Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite into orbit for Space Force on its Atlas V 551 rocket, the most powerful in its arsenal. The rocket, which Bruno called "the Bruiser," weighs 1.2 million pounds pre-launch. The satellite itself weighs 14,500 pounds when fully fueled and strapped to the rocket, or about 2.5 Ford Expeditions. The launch will create 2.25 million pounds of thrust. The mission is about much more than brute force—it will establish infrastructure that will strengthen America’s military presence on earth. The satellite will become the sixth of its kind in orbit for the United States, creating a constellation that gives America complete global communications coverage. "This is the most sophisticated, most powerful communications satellite that has ever been launched," Bruno said. "All the way around the world, our troops can be communicated with, can have the high bandwidth, back-and-forth comms, imaging, and intelligence that they require, right down to a guy in a tent with a handset who's doing his thing." Trump Signals Determination in Face of Growing Pandemic
Thomas Gallatin On Monday, President Donald Trump asserted that he would like to see the country open for business in a matter of weeks, not months. “We can’t have the cure be worse than the problem,” Trump argued. “We have to open our country because [not doing so] causes problems that, in my opinion, could be far bigger problems. … Life is fragile, and economies are fragile.”
Trump further defended his position, arguing, “You have tremendous responsibility. We have jobs. … People get tremendous anxiety and depression, and you have suicides over things like this when you have terrible economies. You have death probably in far greater numbers than the numbers we are talking about with regard to the virus.”
The president’s senior economic advisor, Larry Kudlow, backed up his assessment: “We can’t shut in the economy. The economic cost to individuals is just too great. The president is right. The cure can’t be worse than the disease, and we’re going to have to make some difficult trade-offs.”
The mainstream media has been keen to play up the dilemma by claiming that Trump’s economic concerns are out of step with medical experts who warn that the threat posed by the China Virus pandemic is just beginning and will get much worse before it gets better.
However, Trump’s economic concerns are legitimate and echo the opinions of many Americans, especially those who find themselves out of a job, holed up at home, and wondering how they’ll pay the bills — especially when congressional Democrats elect to put partisan politics before the needs of the American people.
In fact, it is likely that one of the primary reasons behind much of the mainstream media’s criticism of Trump for his economic concerns is that his approval rating is rising. That can be most directly tied to his handling of the China Virus pandemic, as the most recent ABC News/Ipsos poll finds Trump with a 55% approval rating on the crisis — a dramatic increase over recent weeks. It appears clear that Trump’s daily press conferences informing the public of his administration’s actions to combat the pandemic have been welcomed by a majority of Americans. Quite simply, they see the president leading this fight.
Also on Monday, Trump signed an executive order forbidding price gouging and hoarding critical supplies. Attorney General William Bar explained, “Under section 102 of the Defense Production Act, the president has authorized to prohibit the hoarding of needed resources by designating those materials as scarce or as materials who supply would be threatened by persons accumulating excessive amounts. Once specific materials are so designated, persons are prohibited from accumulating those items in excess of reasonable, personal or business needs, or for the purpose of selling them in excess of prevailing market prices.” However, Barr also assured that this order did not apply to people who have stockpiled large amounts of toilet paper, nor to those individuals who have long prior prepared by accumulating large amounts of goods for personal consumption.
Finally, the Trump administration will for the first time use the Defense Production Act to procure 60,000 coronavirus test kits, following Trump’s invoking of the law last week even as he downplayed wanting to use it. “We’re a country not based on nationalizing our business,” Trump noted on Sunday, “The concept of nationalizing our businesses is not a good concept.” However, he did anticipate that “we may have to use it someplace along the chain.” Well, it appears clear that point has now been reached. ~The Patriot Post

After almost a week of negotiations, the Senate was expected Wednesday evening to finally pass a revised version of the plan hashed out between Senators Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), Chuck scumbag-Schumer (D., N.Y.), and Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin. On Wednesday morning, however, Senators Tim Scott (R., S.C.), Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.), and Ben Sasse (R., Neb.) announced their opposition to the bill's unemployment provisions, which they argued could unintentionally pay workers more than their incomes, driving them out of the job market and on to the dole. commie-Sanders, in response, announced that unless the trio drop their objections, he too would put a hold on the bill over its $500 billion bailout provision. Now, at the 11th hour, the conflict between the four could further delay a $2-trillion lifeline to the millions of Americans laid off at work or sheltered at home in the face of the deadly coronavirus. That added stress could bolster the push by some to end the state-imposed shutdown in many communities, bringing to the fore a deadly tradeoff between public health and the lifeblood of the economy. Before this hitch, Wednesday looked to be smooth sailing for the Senate. The bill, based on text seen by the Washington Free Beacon Wednesday afternoon, is broadly similar to the version hashed out by Senate negotiators over the weekend. Its $2-trillion total offers an all-of-economy approach, aimed at both shoring up payrolls and, when people are laid off anyway, pouring money into their pockets to keep them afloat until the crisis is over. For taxpayers, the bill offers an advance rebate on 2020 taxes to the tune of $1,200 per adult plus $500 per child, capped at $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers a controversial "phase-in" provision has been dropped. To help the expected wave of unemployment, it pours cash into the unemployment insurance system, including a $600 per week payment to all recipients for the next four months....

The statement said U.S. officials agreed with the family's conclusion, adding: "We don't know when or how he died, only that it was prior to the COVID-19 pandemic." Levinson was the longest-held hostage in U.S. history, and his family has fought for over a decade for his safe return, blaming the Iranian regime for his capture and imprisonment. A retired FBI agent, Levinson was 58-years-old when he traveled to Kish Island, Iran in 2007 working as a private investigator as part of an unauthorized CIA mission allegedly probing cigarette smuggling. Upon his arrival, Levinson allegedly met with an American fugitive-- Dawud Salahuddin-- targeted by the CIA for recruitment, a source close to the Levinson case told Fox News in 2016. Salahuddin is wanted by the CIA for allegedly murdering an Iranian diplomat in Maryland in 1980, and Levinson hoped the mission to deliver him to the agency would secure him full-time employment with the CIA, the source told Fox News at the time. Shortly after, Levinson disappeared, but Iran has repeatedly denied capturing him or knowing of his whereabouts. Iran has unveiled a kit that appears to convert unguided surface-to-surface rockets into guided weapons. The Labeik kit “looked similar to the guidance units used with the Fateh-110 family of solid-propellent missiles, although its four triangular control surfaces were inverted,” according to Jane’s Defense Weekly, which based its analysis on Iranian television footage of a military parade earlier this month. “As with the Fateh-110 family, these would be attached between the rocket motor and warhead to steer the projectile. They appeared to be compatible with the 610-millimeter diameter of the Zelzal heavy artillery rocket.” This development worries Israeli military experts, who note that Hezbollah – Iran’s proxy army in Lebanon – has an estimated arsenal of 150,000 rockets aimed at Israel. Currently, most are “dumb” weapons. “There is nothing new in the conversion itself, they have been doing it for years, and they already showed conversion kits for the Fateh-110 family of missiles,” missile defense expert Uzi Rubin told the Times of Israel. “What’s new here are the aerodynamics of the winglets — very unique, unseen in Iran to date and unseen in any other country. Going to indigenous design rather than copying others indicates self-confidence. The purpose of the new and unique aerodynamics is probably to increase the maneuverability of the converted rockets.” Unguided rockets have become a fixture of warfare since World War II, when Russia’s legendary Katyusha pulverized Nazi troops. Though capable of generating fearsome and impressive destruction with a fiery multi-rocket salvo from a single launcher, artillery rockets have been inaccurate weapons that rely on saturating a target with massed fires. Precision fire would be the job of the howitzers and mortars. However, if Iran can convert an unguided rocket into a guided weapon, this would dramatically change the rocket’s effectiveness. Iran has a variety of rocket systems based heavily on old Soviet designs, such as the Falaq-1, which resembles the Soviet BM-24 240-millimeter multiple rocket launch system. Iran also has several types of guided ballistic missiles such as the Fateh-110, which has a range of more than 100 miles and inertial or GPS guidance....

Dems Stop Obstructing Emergency Relief
Thomas Gallatin In the early morning hours on Wednesday, Senate Democrats finally agreed to a China Virus relief deal — a package totaling a whopping $2 trillion. This is the largest stimulus bill in U.S. history by far.
“The rescue package will send $1,200 checks to most Americans at a cost of $250 billion,” The Washington Times reports. “It set up a $367 billion loan program to help small businesses make payroll and $500 billion in subsidized loans for big businesses. The aid includes $250 billion in unemployment insurance benefits, $150 billion of stimulus spending for states and local governments, and $130 billion for hospitals.”
Importantly, “the deal bars any of the payouts going to President [Donald] Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, cabinet officials, Congress members or any of their immediately family.”
Following the deal’s announcement, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who had blasted congressional Democrats on Sunday for backing out of the bipartisan deal at the last minute, stated, “Democrats are finally taking ‘Yes’ for an answer. Help is on the way.” McConnell further noted that the $2 trillion relief package essentially amounted to a “wartime level of investment into our nation.”
News of the impending deal sent stock markets surging to the biggest one-day rise since 1933. This is welcome news to the millions of Americans who’ve witnessed their retirement accounts take a beating.
Trump expressed an unusually magnanimous tone following the agreement, declaring, “I also want to thank Congress, because whether or not we’re happy that they haven’t quite gotten there yet, they have been working long hours. I’m talking Republicans and Democrats — all of them, the House [and] the Senate. I want to thank Congress because they are really trying to get there, and I think they will.”
Trump also added a note of optimism, stating that he “would love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter.” However, he readily acknowledged that such a goal was subject to change depending on the state of the pandemic. “We’ll be looking at a lot of things,” he noted. “We’ll also be looking at very large portions of our country, but I’ll be guided very much by Dr. [Anthony] Fauci and by [Dr.] Deborah [Birx].”
The relief bill is by no means a perfect package. It wasn’t before the Democrats’ obstruction gambit and it certainly isn’t any better after they finished with it. However, such is the nature of political gamesmanship, even during a national crisis. Essentially, what changed was that Democrats were able to gain more money for their special interests, in direct contradiction to liar-Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s preposterous lie: “Everything we’re suggesting just relates to COVID-19. It’s not about making law for the future. … It’s not changing policy except as it applies here.”
Soon, the bill will head to the House, where it is expected to pass. There have been a few representatives on both sides of the aisle who have expressed reservations with the Senate bill, but liar-Pelosi is unlikely to derail the relief package a second time and risk further political damage.

As lawmakers in the upper chamber of Congress continue to struggle to pass a relief package intended to help Americans struggling financially with the coronavirus pandemic, liar-Pelosi and House Democrats are pushing their own bill. However, her version is being derided by GOP critics for funding measures that have no relation to the spread of COVID-19. Among the provisions in liar-Pelosi’s bill: $35,000,000 for “operations and maintenance” of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; $36,000,000 for the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences; and even $7,000,000 for Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Her bill included numerous other unrelated provisions, such as a bailout for the postal service, risk-limiting audits of election results, requirements early and same-day voter registration, and also a requirement for airlines to fully offset their carbon emissions. However, the speaker’s legislation calls for no additional funding for CBP and ICE, despite governments around the world adopting stricter border measures to protect their populations against the virus. In terms of immigration-related measures, liar-Pelosi’s bill does call for $300,000,000 for “Migration and Refugee Assistance.” Democrats’ behavior is a national disgrace. They are blocking aid for sick people and unemployed workers over liar-Pelosi’s totally unrelated demands,” tweeted House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy on Monday. “The country is burning and House Democrats would rather delay passage of direct relief to working families and small business so they can manipulate the way we conduct elections, bail out the postal service, impose greenhouse gas mandates on the airlines, and ensure diversity on corporate boards,” Rachel Bovard, Senior Director of Policy at the Conservative Partnership Institute, said to the Daily Caller on Monday. Democrat Senators Urge UN Security Council Mandates on Coronavirus Crisis

He is using all available instruments of the federal government in order to save American lives... while not destroying the American economy in the process. Meanwhile, several Democrat senators, including Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren of Massachusetts, decided to waste their time writing a letter on March 20th to President Trump urging him to turn to the United Nations Security Council for help. They asked him to introduce a “resolution to declare pandemics a threat to international peace and security, and require action by member nations to address that threat as soon as the Security Council reconvenes.” The coronavirus is a mortal threat to life all over the world. Given its failed record on a host of issues squarely within its jurisdiction, the UN Security Council is totally useless in dealing with this health threat or its ramifications - whenever it decides to reconvene. Yet the senators writing the letter to President Trump stupidly think that the president should look to the Security Council to “establish binding commitments for UN member nations to align their health preparedness frameworks with best international practices.” Do they have China's practices in mind? The resolution, the letter said, “should affirm the responsibility of all UN Member States to protect refugees and asylum seekers, international displaced persons (IDPs), and the food insecure — all of whose circumstances leave them especially vulnerable to pandemics.” Markey, dinky/liar-Warren and their fellow Democrat senators want the Security Council to “mandate a global giving campaign to approved UN aid organizations or host governments whose people or hosted populations are already suffering from acute need.” These senators’ job is to get as much relief as is needed as soon as possible to the American people who are suffering the effects of the virus through no fault of their own. We don’t need any UN resolutions to “establish binding commitments" or to "mandate" another plan for global wealth redistribution to unaccountable entities. The World Health Organization (WHO) is the specialized agency of the United Nations that is supposed to be responsible for international public health. It got off to a very bad start dealing with the novel coronavirus 2019 outbreak. Taking at face value information from China, the origin of the outbreak, WHO went along with China’s initial refusal to even admit human to human contamination. WHO delayed declaring the coronavirus a “public health emergency of international concern” until January 30 – waiting a full month after the first case of the virus was reported on December 31. An Emergency Committee was convened by the WHO Director-General to address the crisis. The committee stated on January 30 that it “welcomed the leadership and political commitment of the very highest levels of Chinese government, their commitment to transparency, and the efforts made to investigate and contain the current outbreak.” The Chinese Communist Party might as well have written such propaganda. We know that China’s delay in coming clean about the virus and refusing to accept help from foreign government health specialists contributed greatly to the spread of the virus....

{ nypost.com } ~ Warm temperatures slow down the spread of the novel coronavirus — but don’t completely eradicate it, according to new studies...Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology found that 90 percent of COVID-19 transmissions that occurred until Sunday happened in regions with low temperatures — between 37.4 and 62.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Coronavirus cases have been reported in countries with equatorial climates and those in the Southern Hemisphere —which are now in summer. But regions with average temperatures above 64.4 degrees Fahrenheit currently account for fewer than 6 percent of global cases. “Wherever the temperatures were colder, the number of the cases started increasing quickly,” Qasim Bukhari, a computational scientist at the university who co-authored the study, told the New York Times. “You see this in Europe, even though the health care there is among the world’s best.” That pattern applies in the US too, Bukhari told the paper. The outbreak has developed more slowly in Southern states like Arizona, Florida and Texas compared to New York, Washington state and Colorado, for example, according to Bukhari. In California, the rate is somewhere in the middle. Epidemiologists have seen a similar pattern with other viruses — including the flu, which generally follows a November-to-April trend in the Northern Hemisphere, Dr. Deborah Birx, a member of the White House’s coronavirus task force, said during a recent briefing, according to the Times. I remember cramming together some pretty dodgy papers over a long weekend back in college... Armed with little more than coffee, my iMac and some textbooks, I could churn out about 20-ish pages of half-readable pap between Friday evening and the Sunday midnight deadline. Not that it was any good. In one case, stuck for a hook, I compared two philosophers to professional wrestlers and went from there. I think the philosophers were Nietzsche and Kierkegaard; I can’t remember the wrestlers. The paper inexplicably got an A-, presumably more because of entertainment value than academic merit. I suppose with some aides and a lot of high-test coffee, I could probably get a bit more than 20 pages done, although with a bunch of people involved, we’d all have to agree with one another. It’s not something you can scale up infinitely to the point where a bunch of people cramming can get a commensurate amount of work done. Eventually, you run into diminishing returns. All of which is to say that shenanigans need to be called on the idea that House liar-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Charles scumbag-Schumer and the Democrats came up with a 1,119 COVID-19 relief bill over the weekend. They didn’t. What they did was take a bunch of Democratic plans that have been percolating for a while and throw them into a bill one Republican senator described as a “Disney World wish list.” liar-Pelosi’s bill didn’t contain just that; it was a veritable cornucopia of stuff the Democrats have been looking to implement for a while that had nothing to do with fighting the coronavirus threat or helping America recover economically from it. At least one Twitter user — author and writer Brian Cates — noted emphatically that this had very little to do with the problem at hand: That’s not inaccurate. In fact, the third-ranked House Democrat reportedly more or less admitted this on a call with the Democratic caucus. House Majority Whip scumbag-James Clyburn told his colleagues the bill was “a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision,” according to The Hill. At least he didn’t try to hide it. Now, see if you can identify a few of these items in the Democrats’ bill, per Fox News, as being part of the Democrats’ prior legislative longings. Take, for instance, student loan forgiveness. The bill would eliminate “a minimum of $10,000 of federal and private student loan debt for each indebted borrower.” No, it’s not what Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren called for during her presidential campaign, but it certainly sounded like something that had its genesis more in dogma than in the vein of economic recovery. Here’s another thing that sounds extremely iffy: forcing states to adopt same-day voter registration, another long-time Democratic wish-list item. Apparently, they’re admitting their own voters can’t get their stuff together enough to register before Election Day. There’s no evidence that this will be necessary given the exigencies created by coronavirus, but it’s certainly convenient. So, too, is the legislative command that forbids states from “imposing additional conditions or requirements on the eligibility of a voter to cast an absentee ballot such as notarization or witness signatures, and prohibits requiring identification to obtain an absentee ballot.”....

Lindsey Graham on Monday said he would support the idea of voting from home... as the coronavirus continues to spread throughout the U.S. “I totally support the idea of remote voting so the Senate can continue to operate during this crisis. We should make this change before the Senate leaves town,” Graham said on Twitter. When Graham was asked by CNN about remote votes last week, he responded by saying “If it gets worse, yeah, but I think we’re fine.” Five Senators have since self-quarantined. Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has also since tested positive for coronavirus. Paul is the first known United States senator to test positive. Paul notably had part of his lung removed in the fall of 2019. The surgery followed an altercation with his Kentucky neighbor back in 2017. He suffered pneumonia as a result of the incident. Before the news about Paul, Republican Ohio Sen. Rob Portman and Democratic Illinois Sen. scumbag-Dick Durbin on Thursday introduced a resolution that would allow senators to vote remotely during national emergencies. The two senators introduced the bi-partisan resolution “to Maintain Senate’s Constitutional Responsibilities & Allow Remote Voting During National Emergencies” which would allow senators to vote remotely, as the coronavirus continues to spread throughout the U.S. “In times of a national emergency, the Senate must be able to convene and act expeditiously even if we can’t be together in person. It’s during times like this, when we have a pandemic affecting every corner of society and we are asking people to stay in their homes, that we should have the ability to convene the Senate and get our work done even if we can’t be in the Capitol,” Portman said in a statement. “While I know there is resistance to changing a Senate tradition to allow for remote voting during national emergencies, I believe this is an important issue and worthy of robust discussion amongst our Senate colleagues,” he continued. A number of members of Congress in both the House and the Senate have announced they are self-quarantining as coronavirus continues to spread throughout the U.S. “We live in an age where national emergencies, public health crises and terrorism can threaten the ordinary course of Senate business. We need to bring voting in the Senate into the 21st century so that our important work can continue even under extraordinary circumstances. This could disrupt the labor market further, the lawmakers warn. "A massive drafting error in the current version of the coronavirus relief legislation could have devastating consequences: Unless this bill is fixed, there is a strong incentive for employees to be laid off instead of going to work. This isn’t an abstract, philosophical point -- it’s an immediate, real-world problem,” Sens. Tim Scott, R-S.C., Ben Sasse, R-Neb., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said in a statement. The White House and Senate leaders had come to an agreement on the $2 trillion package that is designed to boost the economy and provide aid to workers and businesses affected by the closing down of much of daily life in response to the coronavirus crisis. Nate Jackson House Majority Whip scumbag-James Clyburn (D-SC) gave the game away in remarks he made recently to fellow Democrats regarding how they should hijack Congress’s $1.8 trillion relief: “This is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.”
Democrats twice derailed the Senate bill over the last two days. What makes that even more appalling is that it was a bipartisan effort hailed by Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer (D-NY) as recently as Saturday night.
Then House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi flew back from House recess, offered her own $2.5 trillion alternative, and it all went to heck.
scumbag-Clyburn’s comments shed light on why. As millions of Americans are losing their jobs and income, getting pummeled in the stock market, and are generally worried about their future, the original aim for Congress was to send relief money as quickly as possible. That would go to individuals hurt by the crisis and to businesses to ensure that more jobs could be retained.

The real aim? As Mark Alexander put it, “Democrats have disgracefully derailed emergency COVID-19 funding by claiming it helps corporations too much. They know that is a lie — relief for hard-hit corporate sectors IS relief for employees in those sectors, but the lie plays well in the Leftmedia.”
Democrats clearly want a recession, so dragging this out makes sense. Worse, the poison pills they insist on adding will likely slow the recovery, much like they did during Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s administration.
Sen. Cotton rightly noted, “The Democrats see an opportunity in this crisis. Not to help the American people, but to hold an emergency relief bill hostage until they get their radical wish list. How long will … Americans across the country have to wait?”
And Rep. Dan Crenshaw delivered an appropriately blistering rebuke: “Do Dems want a recession? A depression? How can they justify this? This bill is critical for the livelihood of millions. Our country will be devastated without immediate help. Dems can lie all they want about ‘helping workers’ but now they are destroying their lives.” He added, “This will go down as one of the most cynical, disgusting, malevolent actions in history. Millions are losing jobs while they play these games.”
Nevertheless, Congress will (eventually) hammer out a deal, probably in the neighborhood of $2 trillion. And the relief to average Americans will be larded up with pork for Democrat constituencies, the $23.5 trillion national debt notwithstanding. More than 410,000 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and over 18,000 have died. Several countries have gone into lockdown as the number of those infected by the highly contagious disease continues to rapidly rise. Scientists around the world are racing to develop treatments and vaccines, which will have to undergo several rounds of testing and clinical trials before moving on to mass production. “More than 20 vaccines are in development globally, and several therapeutics are in clinical trials,” an official for the World Health Organization told The Media Line. “No treatment and vaccine exist yet, but researchers around the world are working hard for it.” While a vaccine will likely take between 12 and 18 months to be proven safe and effective and be produced for mass use, other effective treatments could emerge much sooner. Prof. Peter Jay Hotez, a prominent virologist and the dean of the Baylor College of Medicine’s National School of Tropical Medicine in Houston, Texas, told The Media Line that the earliest treatment that could work against COVID-19 would be a convalescent serum antibody therapy, in which the antibodies of a person who has recovered from the virus are injected into a sick patient. In a study published in The Journal of Infectious Diseases in 2014, researchers demonstrated how convalescent blood plasma might be effective to significantly reduce mortality rates, if administered to those who have contracted severe acute respiratory infections (SARIs) soon after their symptoms first appear. According to Hotez, the next treatment to emerge after this will most likely be “repurposed existing antiviral drugs in a few weeks or months, then new chemical drugs within a year, and a vaccine in one to three years.” Interestingly, Hotez and his team of scientists already developed a coronavirus vaccine years ago, following the 2002-2004 SARS outbreak, which spread out of China and ended up killing more than 770 people worldwide. However, when the vaccine reached the stage of human testing in 2016, he was unable to secure further funding, and the trials were never concluded. “At the time we manufactured it, people had lost interest in coronavirus epidemics and pandemics,” Hotez said, adding that researchers are now working to repurpose that vaccine for COVID-19....

Mark Meadows was on Capitol Hill late, telling reporters the deal will happen “very very soon.” This comes as the Senate again failed to pass a procedural cloture vote Monday. The vote was 49-46. Republicans needed 60 yes votes to pass the vote. On Sunday night the Senate tried to pass a cloture vote but failed 47-47 as no Democrats would jump on board. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday that the bill would include $75 billion for hospitals and that two-thirds of all new money in the bill would go to states. Michael Swartz The message of protecting seniors from the spread of China Virus is important because, according to the CDC, the virus is far more lethal to them due to their weakened physical status and less robust immune systems. Theirs is the age group singled out by the CDC to remain home as much as possible and keep 30 days’ worth of groceries on hand.
On the other hand, the youth of this country are on an indefinite coronavirus vacation. Most secondary schools have begun with a two-week hiatus concluding next week — although it will certainly be extended for at least another couple of weeks, if not the rest of the school year. But those in college will likely finish this semester by taking their classes online from home.
Protection only goes so far, though. Despite the loss of athletics and social events around campus, students determined to participate in the annual rite of spring break were crowding Florida beaches and nightspots. “If I get corona, I get corona,” said one reveler to The Washington Post. “At the end of the day, I’m not going to let it stop me from partying.”
That same feeling of invincibility was expressed by another young beachgoer: “It’s really messing with my spring break,” she complained. “I think they’re blowing it way out of proportion.”
But try telling that to the increasing number of Millennials being admitted to hospitals due to the coronavirus. Many other young people are asymptomatic, however, and they’re bringing home more than just a tan. This is bad news for all those they come in contact with (especially the elderly), which is why these spring breakers are of greatest concern to public-health officials.
The adults have since taken charge, though, and an incensed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis lowered the boom on the celebration. While the state’s beaches aren’t officially closed, the bars and nightclubs are. And that may be enough to break up the party. “The message I think for spring breakers is that the party’s over in Florida,” DeSantis declared. “The bars are closed … so we would just tell those folks maybe come back next year when things are better.”
Nor is it just Florida beaches: The mayor of Ocean City, Maryland, was also urging people to stay home. “While we look forward to the time when we can welcome you again, now is not the time to visit Ocean City,” said Mayor Rick Meehan. As a nearby escape from the Beltway regions, the town was inundated last weekend with St. Patrick’s Day revelers despite the cancellation of their annual parade and a confirmation that a holiday weekend visitor later tested positive for COVID-19.
While it’s unlikely that many senior citizens were mingling with the spring-break crowd, many of those college students will be back home with their families soon. And with the incubation period of the virus estimated to be as long as 14 days, hitting a jam-packed beach clearly wasn’t the best of all ideas. ~The Patriot Post

In the past, states were forced to follow guidelines handed to them by the federal government. What’s amazing about this ruling is, it wasn’t even a “party-line” vote. The Supreme Court on Monday ruled against a Kansas man who argued his constitutional rights were violated when the state refused to allow him to bring an insanity defense. In a 6-3 opinion, the Court said an insanity defense that considers whether a defendant can distinguish between right and wrong is not constitutionally required. In a 6-3 ruling, the Supreme Court decided that states have the right to reject the insanity plea in criminal cases. Kansas, and other states, allow a defendant to plead not guilty by reason of insanity. This will be a great victory, this is going to be a victory, and it’s going to be a victory that in my opinion will happen much sooner than originally expected.”
Perhaps Trump thought it necessary to offer these comments because Friday’s White House briefing included a tiff between him and NBC correspondent Peter Alexander. “What do you say to the Americans who are scared?” Alexander asked. “Nearly 200 dead, 14,000 who are sick, millions, as you witnessed, who are scared right now. What do you say to Americans who are watching right now who are scared?”
Trump unloaded: “I say that you’re a terrible reporter, that’s what I say.” He accused Alexander of “doing sensationalism,” and scolded, “You should be ashamed of yourself.”
Trump’s assessment of the Leftmedia talkingheads has been correct since day one, and particularly so in this exchange. We are fighting two warfronts — one the China Virus and the other “journalists” who ask questions as if they are part of China’s state-run media.
Veteran journalist Brit Hume likewise unloaded on Alexander. “Legitimate question my a**,” Hume wrote. “It was the kind of bullsh*t gotcha question which hack WH reporters have been asking for decades. But instead of going off on the reporter, Trump should have said the whole briefing in all its particulars was a message to people who are scared.”
Clearly, Trump decided it was wise to offer a message of hope and encouragement. His actions, too, have been measured and taking in the full counsel of advisers.
One of his recent actions includes giving the green light to Ford, General Motors, and Tesla to use their manufacturing capability to make ventilators, though he will not nationalize any business. He also declared that the federal govern ment would fund “100%” of National Guard activation and deployment in California, New York, and Washington, all states that he says “have been hit the hardest.” Words paired with action — that’s what the American people should expect from their chief executive. ~The Patriot Post

Trump and his administration were condemned over tests for lack of availability and unreliability. In making the allegation, Chris Meekins, a former assistant secretary of Health and Human Services for preparedness and response, cited private discussions he has held in recent weeks with top federal officials and physicians and scientists employed in private-sector industries that are active in the anti-coronavirus effort. Meekins described his contacts on the White House Coronavirus Task Force as “friends,” some of whom he has known for many years. “From my conversations with members of the task force, both inside and outside the administration,” Meekins told Sinclair in an exclusive interview, “The U.S. government, from Secretary Azar to the president relied on the Centers for Disease Control to produce a test; they failed….CDC said they would handle it….What we have found out is that these leaders at the CDC lied to both the HHS secretary and, by extension, the president. And as a result, the nation got weeks behind.” CDC has acknowledged that its initial stab at mass production of the test kits encountered “a problem,” and that federal deployment of safe testing equipment lagged as a result. They blamed the problem on a defect in the “manufacturing of one of the reagents.” This disaster caused the President to turn to the private sector which is now in partnership with the CDC. Democrats Derail Senate's $1.8T Relief Bill
Thomas Gallatin At a moment when all Americans need to unite to address the China Virus pandemic and its economic impact, congressional Democrats have elected to play partisan politics.
On Sunday evening, as the Senate was preparing to move forward via a procedural vote on a $1.8 trillion stimulus bill, Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer threw a last-second wrench in the works. Democrats lined up to vote against moving the bipartisan bill forward, offering the ridiculous excuse that it did too much to help corporations and not enough to help workers. That argument simply doesn’t hold water, as moving the legislation forward would have allowed continued debate.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell noted as much when he blasted Democrats for obstructing the relief bill. “We had a high level of bipartisanship in five different working groups over the last 48 hours, where members who were participating were reaching agreement,” McConnell said. “And then all of a sudden the Democratic leader and the speaker of the House shows up, and we’re back to square one.”
House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi had conferred with scumbag-Schumer hours before the Senate vote in a clear effort to derail the bill, as she and scumbag-Schumer work to create the false narrative that Democrats are the ones most looking out for American interests. The truth is they are still seeking to exploit a crisis to tank the economy with the hopes of reaping political benefit.
McConnell noted the negative economic toll the Democrats’ obstruction play would have, pointing to the fact that the market was almost certain to suffer another terrible day Monday. He concluded, “The notion that we have time to play games here with the American economy and the American people is utterly absurd.”
While the growing economic pain is hitting home for millions of Americans, Democrats are exploiting the crisis to push their own political agenda. And don’t forget that these lawmakers, many of whom are millionaires like liar-Pelosi and scumbag-Schumer, continue to collect their paychecks. How about Congress forego their paychecks until the China Virus crisis has passed?
Even The New York Times was surprised by the Democrats’ sudden obstructionist move, worriedly noting, “In voting to block action, Democrats risked a political backlash if they are seen as obstructing progress on a measure that is widely regarded as crucial to aid desperate Americans and buttress a flagging economy.”
What may have ignited the Democrats’ gambit is recent polling showing President Donald Trump’s approval rating rising as he has worked tirelessly and in a bipartisan effort to address the pandemic. As Power Line’s Steven Hayward observes, “[Democrats] are in a panic about the fact that Trump’s approval ratings are rising at the moment, and they are desperate to keep Trump from having a ‘win’ on policy amidst this crisis. A package will pass, probably soon, and while it may have many defects and require many sequels, the political interests of Democrats demands that they delay and degrade the process as much as possible to diminish Trump. I doubt this would be happening if it was a year ago, or a year from now. But it’s election year, and deranged Democrats are desperate.”
McConnell plans to hold a second vote to move forward on the Senate’s stimulus legislation later today, but the markets already plunged this morning, which is exactly what scumbag-Schumer, liar-Pelosi, and company wanted. ~The Patriot Post
