             That’s a legitimate complaint. I want to hear that complaint. I want to know what Harvey Weinstein is doing in Hollywood. I want to know if the casting couch is still in operation, of course I do! I don’t want women treated like that, who does? That’s not the point, they are using #MeToo, they are delegitimizing #MeToo, they are ruining #MeToo to get Brett Kavanaugh because they do not want an originalist judge on the court who will strip them of their power to make law from the court, that’s all it’s about. They ruin everything.

Exposing the Danger of #MeToo

But the bigger question is one of a concern over justice. Does #MeToo actually promote true justice? Unfortunately, it appears to have been fallen into orbit around the “social justice” cause of radical feminism. The mantra often parroted by many on the Left regarding #MeToo is one of “always believe the women.” This bold assertion is then justified by another equally dubious assertion that insists America’s history is one of patriarchal misogyny where women have suffered oppression under a culture that has steadfastly refused to listen to them and provide them justice, specifically when it comes to the issue of sexual abuse.
               This communicates the idea that unquestioningly believing a self-identified victim’s account of experiencing sexual abuse is the only appropriate reaction. Furthermore, to question the veracity of an allegation is akin to furthering the abuse or perpetuating the crime. The big problem is that this does not — nor will it ever — lead to greater justice. This kind of thinking actually works to undermine justice. There’s a reason why Lady Justice is blindfolded.
               The #MeToo movement has been co-opted into promoting tribalism rather than true justice. It justifies emotional outrage based upon identity rather than sober-mindedness based upon fact. And like other social justice causes, it conflates fairness with equity. Equity is a means of measurement not a standard for determining justice.
               In the American system of jursiprudence, the accused is innocent until proven guilty, not because the accused is always innocent but because it is the only standard that protects the rights and freedoms of the individual against mob rule and witch hunting.

             America is also involved in this conflict. We’re supporting the Saudis with aerial refueling, and we’re also selling them precision-guided weapons. That’s because Yemen is on one side of the Bab el Mandab, a relatively narrow strait that connects the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden. This is what is known as a chokepoint. Ships have to pass through to get to that destination — or accept a longer journey around Africa. We all know that time is money.
               In essence, that location is a perfect place to set up an ambush, either with planes, missile-equipped ships, or shore-based missiles. Having this in the hands of Iranian stooges is bad news. Especially when those stooges took shots at the guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87) in October 2016. Well, back then, the U.S. responded very ineffectively. A few Tomahawks fired immediately is understandable. But to wait days to send less than half a dozen Tomahawks looked pretty weak.
               Well, the Saudi-led coalition (with American support) has been making progress against the Iranian stooges. As in all wars, there are civilian casualties. Recently, there was an effort by Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) to cut off the provision of weapons. The amendment was blocked, but disturbingly for those who seek to keep Iran from gaining new bases from which to support terrorism, Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky and Todd Young of Indiana have supported this effort.
               Nobody wants civilian casualties. But at the same time, giving Iran any sort of foothold in Yemen — or anywhere else — is not a good idea. Just look at Lebanon and Syria to see what happens when Iran does get that foothold. But there’s also a bit of reason to work hard against the Houthis as well. Remember, they took multiple shots at an American ship. Furthermore, the Bab el Mandab is crucial — it offers a back door maritime route to Israel that bypasses the Mediterranean and the Suez Canal.
               The entire American involvement in Yemen is somewhat dubious legally. Yes, al-Qaida has an affiliate called al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula that operates out of Yemen. That group, incidentally, was behind the Fort Hood and underwear-bomb terrorist attacks of 2009. This means the 2001 authorization for the use of military force applies — but it is a very huge reach to apply operations against the Houthi.
               But the United States is not in active combat — the involvement is literally refueling Saudi planes. There was a similar support operation for the French in Mali earlier this decade, also against an al-Qaida affiliate. American forces aren’t fighting, but they are enabling action against bad guys.
               Exactly what Congress should do in these situations is something worth figuring out. Perhaps it is too easy to get involved in conflicts in this manner, but it’s also worth noting that congressional micromanagement doesn’t make things better.

Ford’s prepared opening statement is here.
               Kavanaugh’s is here. As the hearings were set to open, however, there was a development that could be significant. The Judiciary Committee spoke to two men who came forward to admit that they might be the ones at the center of Ford’s claim. If their claim is true, then it was not Kavanaugh and classmate Mark Judge who assaulted Ford — an idea speculated before now. (Ford also named P.J. Smyth and claimed a fourth classmate was there.) But if Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is correct, one of the men who came forward is “crazy as a loon” and “not reliable.” Ford says there’s “zero chance” of mistaken identity, but Kavanaugh, Judge, and Smyth deny under penalty of perjury that they know anything about the alleged incident.  Someone is wrong.
               For the record, we find it plausible that something did happen to Ford 36 years ago. But whether it began as a “consensual” (if drunken) tryst that she later regretted or if it truly was nonconsensual aggression, false memories are a real thing, and Ford’s recollection of the trauma could have manifested quite different from the facts.
               In any case, remember these things: The four people she claims corroborate her story can only vouch for her having spoken of it to them since 2012. And one of them is her husband, who is clearly invested in backing her. Four other people with contemporary knowledge, including her lifelong friend Leland Ingham Keyser, deny her allegations. And the polygraph Ford took was widely discredited — for one thing, it consisted of two questions.
               Regardless of what happens today, however, dummycrats-Democrats have already made up their minds. Not only will they vote in lockstep against Kavanaugh, 10 of them have demanded his immediate withdrawal from consideration. He has been tried in their circus court of public opinion and found guilty, regardless of the dubious and uncorroborated nature of the claims.
               dummycrats-Democrats base this conclusion not only on Ford’s unprovable allegations but on other, even less credible accusations specifically timed to coincide with other markers in the process. First, there was Deborah Ramirez’s account of Kavanaugh’s indecent exposure, announced via The New Yorker a few hours after the Ford testimony was announced. Ramirez is “willing to testify,” but there are no credible corroborating witnesses to her story and numerous denials from Kavanaugh and others.
               Then, the day before testimony, came Stormy Daniels’s porn lawyer, Michael Avenatti, shamelessly self-promoting through Julie Swetnick, who was once served a restraining order for threatening a former boyfriend, but who alleges that Kavanaugh was presentfor a “gang rape” ring at drunken high-school parties. Those parties supposedly occurred while Kavanaugh was somewhere between 15 and 17, while Swetnick was between 18 and 20 — i.e., no longer in high school but rather an adult voluntarily cavorting with teens even after supposedly knowing of these gang rapes. And, by the way, no one reported this allegation at any time until the day before Kavanaugh’s hearing with Ford. In fact, more than 60 Georgetown Prep alumni sent a letter to the Senate rejecting the claims. No wonder Avenatti has ignored six Judiciary Committee attempts to obtain evidence and insists Swetnick will not testify. She did, however, interview with Showtime.
               The Leftmedia attempted Wednesday night to level two more allegations. Accusation number four was an anonymous letter about an anonymous “victim” who was “shoved … up against the wall very aggressively and sexually” by Kavanaugh in 1998. Republicans are appropriately assigning the letter no credibility, while Kavanaugh called it “total Twilight Zone.” And fifth, a Rhode Island man accused Kavanaugh of raping a “close associate of his” on a boat in 1985, only to retract the allegation entirely a few hours later, saying, “I have made a mistake and apologize.”
               The point of these pathetic attempts to besmirch Kavanaugh is to establish a pattern of horrific behavior to support Ford’s testimony today. But as Laura Ingraham astutely notes, “If Kavanaugh had done any of what he’s accused of, the liar-Clinton War Room would have destroyed him in 1998 when he was a top official in Ken Starr’s Whitewater Investigation.”
               If dummycrats-Democrats succeed in derailing Kavanaugh’s nomination altogether, it’s a win. If they can delay a vote until after the election, it’s a win. And if they can “merely” tarnish his reputation for the duration of his tenure on the nation’s highest court, then they’ll at least be able to decry every ruling this misogynist, attempted rapist ever makes regarding issues remotely attached to women.
               Why are dummycrats-Democrats doing this? Sen. Dianne Fein-stein (D-CA), who orchestrated this cynical charade from the beginning, gave the game away as today’s hearings opened, admitting that dummycrats-Democrats want Ford to represent all abused and harassed women. By extension, Kavanaugh represents all white men in positions of authority or power who abuse those women. This group identity of victimization is a useful tool when dummycrats-Democrats want to dupe the women voters they clearly view as emotionally incontinent fools incapable of discerning fact from fiction.
               Paradoxically, by pulling this heavily politicized stunt,  dummycrats-Democrats are actually delegitimizing the victims of real sexual assault. And on that note, to be clear, there is a big difference between the motivations of Fein-stein & Co. and Ford.
               Let’s hope Senate Republicans and voters in November see this all for what it truly is: swamp politics at its absolute worst.

Instead, he had the audacity to run on issues that Americans care about: the value of citizenship threatened by an open border, an apologetic approach to leading the world (from behind), repealing scumbag/liar-nObamaCare, cutting taxes and regulation, and restoring the authentic definition of free and fair trade to honor the American worker. The cherry on top — but also the reason for many conservative votes — was the promise of constructionist judicial appointments. And we see the Left’s resistance to that aspect through stunts like Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation process.
               With such a narrow majority, the “Trump” agenda — which by the way sounds an awful lot like what Ronald Reagan ran on, as has every national Republican candidate since the 1980s — has been difficult to entirely fulfill in the face of dummycrats-Democrat obstruction in the Senate. Furthermore, the upper chamber has been home to some of Trump’s most vocal Republican opponents — rino-John McCain, rino-Bob Corker, and rino-Jeff Flake, the latter two of whom are departing — in addition to the parade of charlatans who are running for president on thedummycrats-Democratic Socialist ticket in 2020: Elizabeth dinky-Warren, lowlife-Kamila Harris, scumbag-Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, and commie-Bernie Sanders.
               America is witnessing the politics of our nation held hostage to an unhinged group completely devoted to delegitimizing the value and integrity of America’s elections. Beyond Kavanaugh and the “Trump/Russia collusion” investigation, there’s the weaponization of aspects of government like the Department of Justice and the FBI as tools to negate the majority party’s agenda because, clearly, to the dummycrats-Democratic Socialists, the most dangerous enemy in their eyes is an elected Republican committed to the Founding principles of a limited, transparent, and accountable government.
               In Texas, a GOP stalwart who finished second behind Trump in the 2016 presidential primary is in danger. In Missouri, a dummycrats-Democrat incumbent is fighting for her seat in a right-leaning state. And in the deep-red state of Tennessee an open Senate seat is a battleground between two well-known candidates. Let’s take a quick peek at those three races that deserve review, with special attention paid to how “unDemocratic” the dummycrats-Democrats sound in their rhetoric and campaign promises.
               In the Lone Star State, a hard-left Progressive, Beto O'Rourke, is giving Ted Cruz a true run, with the Cook Political Report moving the election from “leans Republican” to “toss-up” status. So why is a red state with a Republican governor giving its incumbent such a slim lead?
               It seems Beto, the 45-year-old two-term U.S. House incumbent, has learned that to win, you must abandon leftist ways on the campaign trail. His website uses rhetoric that’s just not reflected by members of his own party — for example, he demands that “we are all treated with dignity and respect, meeting the small, petty and divisive politics of this age with a confidence, courage and strength that could only come from Texas.” We suppose his friend Wendy Davis, the former state senator and losing gubernatorial candidate who filibustered to have more relaxed abortion laws, taught him a lesson to avoid too much extremism down in the heart of Texas. His campaign platform states the obvious for educated kids, access to health care, and good jobs, yet he sounds nothing like his colleagues who promise to reverse the Trump tax cuts and move to impeach the president.
               Head north to the Show-Me State anddummycrats- Democrat Claire McCaskill touts her record to be “a fighter Missourians can count on.” That may be true … if you want your senator to fight the president you voted into office by an 18.5-point margin. McCaskill voted against the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court, and she opposes Kavanaugh. She voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that reversed the economic quagmire of the scumbag/liar-nObama economy. On the other side, GOP nominee and state Attorney General Josh Hawley is getting the Trump-treatment, complete with an endorsement and rally in the state.
               Polling shows this race is a dead-heat. Looking at the two-term Senate incumbent’s website, the inquiring reader would never know of her intent to stand with Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer in keeping the southern border porous and spending even more on entitlements. No, a glance at that website reveals praise for national security, seniors, and veterans, while failing to note her work directly against Trump’s agenda on those same issues.
               Finally, the Volunteer State’s open seat resulting from Bob Corker’s fall from potential VP candidate to cable news’s favorite GOP Trump critic is a similar slugfest. On the Left, we have former Democrat Gov. Phil Bredesen, whose claim to fame was to kick 300,000 Tennesseans off the state’s Medicaid program during his two-term tenure but who now joins the chorus to expand Medicaid while having the nerve to call for a freeze in federal spending. On the Right, we have the consistent conservative Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn. To illustrate the contentious race, the dummycrats-Democrat has been busy camouflaging his leftist partisanship so much that the NRA had to recently demand he stop using an outdated “A” rating in campaign ads. That grade no longer applies for a man who now supports the liar-Clinton/scumbag/clown-Schumer/Bloomberg gun-control agenda, earning him a current “D” rating.
               The Real Clear Politics average has Tennessee’s matchup as a tie.
               So what does this mean? It means voters need to wake up and look to the obstruction in Washington that has jeopardized the funding to end the open border, dragged out the entire process of confirmations for a host of presidential nominees, and threatens to end tax cuts that have helped boost the economy. That’s just a small sampling of the agenda that awaits if Republicans lose this slim lead in the Senate.
                dummycrats-Democrats have long run as Republicans but governed as Socialists, though that disparity is growing now at an accelerated rate. Republicans need to find their spine and articulate the best days ahead for Americans if their numbers are to increase. Americans can multiply the great days ahead by adding more Republicans to the Senate but will understand more division and the subtraction of their earnings through taxation if Democrats prevail. Do the math.

             Amy Walter of The Cook Political Report writes, “Latino voter drop-off in midterm elections is nothing new, but the thinking was that President Trump’s rhetoric and policies around immigration, especially the issue of separating children from their parents at the border, would be a catalyst for higher Latino engagement in 2018. At this point, however, recent polling by New York Times Upshot/Siena College and Monmouth University, suggests that’s not the case.”
               This should not be that surprising given the fact that Trump’s booming economy has lowered unemployment levels to record lows across all demographic groups, especially among Hispanics. So with record-high employment coupled with the fact that Latinos in general are not culturally radical leftists, what would motivate Latinos to vote against Trump?
               By the way, Trump’s rhetoric on securing the border has not alienated a majority of Latinos, a fact demonstrated by a recent special election in Texas. As Texas Monthly reported, “Republican Pete Flores, backed by endorsements from [Gov. Greg] Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, [Sen. Ted] Cruz and … John Cornyn, won a stunning upset victory over well-knowndummycrats-Democrat Pete Gallego in a San Antonio special election to capture a state Senate seat. The election was to fill the remaining term of disgraced former state Senator Carlos Uresti, who resigned his seat after being convicted in federal court of eleven felony charges. This marks the first time a Hispanic Republican has been elected to the Texas Senate and the first time the Senate has had twenty-one Republican senators.”
               We’d like to think that Hispanics appreciate a president who enforces the law. Millions of Hispanics are law-abiding and don’t appreciate what 22 million illegals have done to their communities.
