               Almost immediately after Brown signed the bill into law, the Justice Department announced that it was suing the state of California to block the law. And it’s quite obvious to all that the DOJ should easily win the case, as California’s law is a clear breach of federal jurisdiction and authority to regulate interstate commerce. The Internet does not stop at California’s borders.
               As Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey notes, “Put simply, the California legislature and Jerry Brown are busy engaging in stunt lawmaking. This is designed to curry favor with progressives frustrated over having lost an election and getting handed a setback on net neutrality, and nothing more. It serves as a distraction from the fiscal crises and economic woes besetting the Golden State, as well as the lack of progress on other progressive projects such as socialized medicine and the high-speed rail project.”

             In an earth-shaking new article, The Washington Post has exposed the shocking revelation that — GASP! — President Donald Trump is not following Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s agenda! In fact, he is doing the opposite in most cases, and with a vigor and determination that would lead one to believe it’s what the American people elected him to do.
               And yet at every turn, anti-Trump scumbag/liar-nObama holdovers and lifelong bureaucrats attempt to undermine the Trump agenda.
               In the Post article, the writers breathlessly reveal that Trump is ignoring an analysis made by his own administration regarding the impact of global warming. The analysis claims Earth will see a four-degrees Celsius increase in global temperatures if we don’t immediately implement economy-crushing environmental regulations. The author of this environmental impact statement? A bureaucrat within the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
               That’s right … the Post is up in arms because Trump ignored a policy statement on global warming by a traffic-safety bureaucrat. What’s next? Discovering Trump ignored policy statements on food safety by an IRS employee? Trump ignoring recommendations for placement of missile-defense silos from the cashier at the White House gift shop?
               The problem for the global warming hysterics is that they have played Chicken Little for so long, and made so many dire prophecies that never came true, that sane people now tune them out as background noise.
               In the 1970s we were warned of a coming Ice Age that would doom humanity. Scientist Paul Ehrlich became world famous after predicting four billion people would perish by 1989 in the “Great Die-Off” (which would have been almost 80% of the world’s population at the time). Other scientists predicted that 80% of all species would be extinct by 1995, and the Earth would be a chilly 11 degrees colder by the year 2000.
               However, by the early 1980s, the fearmongering over a coming Ice Age had been discarded for fearmongering over “global warming,” claiming man’s industrial activities were increasing CO2 levels to catastrophic proportions. Before long (we were told), ocean levels would rise so high that New York City would be underwater.
               Yet despite all of these frenzied warnings, the predictions never seemed to materialize. New York is not underwater, and despite claims of near-extinction, polar bears are thriving. The polar ice caps are not only not melting, they are setting record highs for sea ice levels.
               Of course, global warming (oops… “climate change”) was never about saving the environment, it was about the destruction of free-market capitalism in order to usher in global socialism.
               This was openly admitted by none other than Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), the global governing body for all things climate change.
               Speaking at a 2012 conference in Doha, Qatar, Figueres declared that the entire climate change process was about a “complete transformation of the economic structure of the world.” In 2015 at that same conference, Figueres reiterated that the climate change conference was “not a discussion about the temperature.” No, she said, “That is just a proxy. The discussion is about the decarbonization of the economy.”
               This should have been evident to everyone paying attention during the first couple of years of the scumbag/liar-nObama presidency, when dummycrats-Democrats were pushing the Waxman-Markey “cap-and-trade” bill that would have fined Americans for exceeding government-mandated carbon emissions limitations.
               In testimony before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, then-EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, under questioning by Republican committee members, admitted that the United States could hit every single emissions limitation goal in the bill, at a cost of trillions of dollars to the taxpayers, but only reduce the global temperature by 0.2 degrees Celsius at most.
               If the true goal were to reduce CO2 emissions and thus temperatures, rather than transform the world into a global socialist utopia, then environmentalists would be praising the United States. After all, despite widespread condemnation for refusing to sign on to the Kyoto Accord, and even greater outrage when President Trump pulled out of the Paris climate accord last year, it is the United States that is leading the world in reducing CO2 emissions, and it’s not even close. In fact, almost every country that signed onto these climate treaties have seen an increase in CO2 emissions.
               And at the end of the day, that is why progressives loathe Donald Trump and his conservative policies. Their policies sound wonderful and compassionate and idealistic but are utter failures in practice. Then along comes Trump, by their estimate a hate-filled, bombastic, uncouth idiot, and in less than two years his policies have lowered carbon emissions, jump-started the economy, led to the creation of millions of jobs, and created enormous prosperity for tens of millions of Americans.
               If environmentalists truly want to reduce global temperatures, then shutting off all the hot air being blown by progressive dummycrats-Democrats, global-warming alarmists, and even deep-state bureaucrats at the NHTSA might be a good place to start.

             A lawyer for Trump, Charles J. Harder, blasted the Times, saying, “[The] allegations of fraud and tax evasion are 100 percent false, and highly defamatory. There was no fraud or tax evasion by anyone. The facts upon which The Times bases its false allegations are extremely inaccurate.” He further explained, “President Trump had virtually no involvement whatsoever with these matters. The affairs were handled by other Trump family members who were not experts themselves and therefore relied entirely upon the aforementioned licensed professionals to ensure full compliance with the law.” In fact, the Times tacitly acknowledges that the Internal Revenue Service was fully aware of the Trumps’ actions and evidently had no objections at the time — because the Trump family accountants followed the law.
               Trump quickly responded to the Times, declaring, “The Failing New York Times did something I have never seen done before. They used the concept of ‘time value of money’ in doing a very old, boring and often told hit piece on me. Added up, this means that 97% of their stories on me are bad. Never recovered from bad election call!”
               White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also derided the Times’ story as a “misleading attack against the Trump family” and noted that “decades ago the IRS reviewed and signed off on these transactions.”
               There are a couple of points to be made here. First, the voluminous tax code has all kinds of “loopholes” that afford (especially wealthy) people avenues by which to lower their tax burden. It’s not illegal to take those deductions; it’s simply smart decision-making. So if leftists don’t want people using these tax breaks then they should work to change the tax laws; don’t blame people for legally seeking to keep more of their hard-earned money. The fairest income tax would be a flat tax, and arguably more fair still would be a national sales tax, a.k.a. The Fair Tax. But neither will ever happen because too many lawmakers depend upon advocating for special tax breaks to curry favor with their constituents.
               Second, the primary reason for this anti-Trump hit piece is to re-inject one of the dummycrats-Democrats’ favorite talking points into the midterms: crying about Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns. Indeed, the Times explains that these “findings raise new questions about Mr. Trump’s refusal to release his income tax returns, breaking with decades of practice by past presidents.” dummycrats-Democrats want his tax returns so as to cook up more allegations of potential instances of tax fraud by Trump. Never mind the fact that the IRS audits Trump every year. Once again, this is yet another example of the Left’s game of declaring that mere accusations create the cloud of credible suspicion, which therefore demands an investigation. This story is nothing more than another political ploy designed to pressure Trump into releasing his tax returns.

             Renaming the agreement allows President Donald Trump to be able to say that he shredded NAFTA in favor of a better trade deal, and indeed the new pact looks to be a worthy if not really revolutionary replacement to its predecessor. So far, Mexico and Canada both seem to agree with Trump that this is an improvement on the old trade pact.
               But how different is it? Investor’s Business Daily notes  that markets reacted “with a sigh of relief,” adding that’s “not because it’s a radical shift from the flawed former North American Free Trade Agreement, but because it isn’t.”
               That isn’t to say there aren’t good provisions. The  USMCA will be reviewed every six years, which negotiators say will institute strict accountability among the three nations. The pact also includes provisions not seen in NAFTA that address intellectual property, digital assets, corruption, and regulatory practices.
               Meanwhile, Canada will allow U.S. farmers more access to its dairy market, formerly a sticking point in negotiations. In return, Canada (and Mexico) will be protected from any current and future U.S. automotive tariffs. Earlier this year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had dug in his heels on Trump’s calls for a new trade deal, but he changed his tune when Trump pivoted and announced a bilateral trade deal with Mexico in late August.
               “USMCA will give our workers, farmers, ranchers, and businesses a high-standard trade agreement that will result in freer markets, fairer trade and robust economic growth in our region,” U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland said in a joint statement. “It will strengthen the middle class, and create good, well-paying jobs and new opportunities for the nearly half billion people who call North America home.”
               Leaders from the three nations are expected to sign the trade accord in the next 60 days. After that it goes to the U.S. Senate for approval, and it would take effect in 2020.
               Trump’s opponents have railed against his economic policies, including his vow to scrap NAFTA and replace it with a better trade deal. Yet, once again, he’s done just what he said he would do. Trump took heat in the press for claiming that NAFTA destroyed millions of jobs and thousands of businesses in the U.S. While American jobs and companies took a lot of hits during the NAFTA era, it’s difficult to determine whether NAFTA was the cause of all the economic heartache that took place. In some ways yes, in some ways no.
               Just the same, Trump’s dealmaking skills forced Mexico and Canada to rethink the old arrangement, and he has come up with something that, while not a game-changer, looks to be better for the U.S. and will make the North American trade bloc more competitive on the world stage.
               “But wait,” says Gary Bauer. “There’s more! Lost in the Kavanaugh kerfuffle last week, President Trump signed a new trade agreement with South Korea. In addition, China just announced that it is slashing tariffs on more than 1,500 products, responding to pressure from the Trump administration to open its economy to more American goods.”
               While much of the media misses this kind of chess, renegotiating NAFTA is only one move in Trump’s larger strategy to achieve fairer trade for the U.S. with North America, Europe, and China. It sure would seem that Trump’s practice of putting America first is paying off for the American worker.

             As usual, dummycrats-Democrats came out complaining that the legislation favored the rich. House Minority Leader Nancy Pulosi (D-CA) lamented, “The GOP’s priorities have been laid bare. How can we milk the public, exploit the taxpayer by adding to the wealth of the wealthiest 1%?” Ironically, it has been dummycrats-Democrats who are most guilty in seeking to carve out tax breaks for the wealthy. In the high-tax states that are almost exclusively dummycrats-Democrat controlled, their biggest objection to Republican tax reform is that it reduces the amount of state and local taxes (SALT) deductible on a federal tax return. As we previously noted, Democrats are out to protect their rich constituents from the effects of higher state and local taxes they themselves have created.
               dummycrats-Democrats are not really “for the people.” So who has gained the most from the GOP’s tax reform? The short answer: The Forgotten Man — middle-class and low-income workers toiling to make their lives better. As Grover Norquist and Alex Hendrie recently noted in The Hill, “Thanks to [tax reform], 90 percent of wage earners are seeing higher take-home pay. A family of four earning the median annual income $73,000 per year will see a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes, while a single parent with one child earning $41,000 will see a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes.”
               And Tax Reform 2.0 does more to add to the middle- and low-income workers’ gains. As the Joint Economic Committee report highlights:

• Taxpayers with incomes under $50,000 will see their share of the total federal tax burden drop from 4.2% to 3.9%.
• Those with less than $10,000 in income will see their taxes slashed by more than half.
• Average taxpayers with incomes between $10,000 and $20,000, a group that frequently claims refundable tax credits, will have no tax liability and receive an additional refund.
• Millionaires will actually see their share of the total federal tax burden rise to 20.2%, compare to 19.6% if tax relief expires.
• While taxpayers will enjoy an average 5.2% cut in their taxes, taxpayers that earn over $1 million will see a below-average reduction of 2.3%.

             Republicans need to be banging this drum all the way to the midterms.

             So it’s safe to say our federal government has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.
               On that note, Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) released its annual reportcontaining its recommendations for some 636 cuts that would reduce wasteful spending by $430 billion in the first year and upwards of $3.1 trillion over the next five. For example, CAGW suggests cutting the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities, which would trim spending by $1.8 billion over fiver years. The cutting of improper Medicare payments due to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement would also save another $18.1 billion over the same five year span.
               The problem with making those cuts is that every slice of the federal pie has a constituency group. All Americans want to cut government spending — just not spending that benefits them. Cut it for someone else. And then nothing gets cut.
               One thing’s for sure, this debt spending problem can only be ignored for so long.

             But when it came to the president’s remarks on Iran and the challenge that nation’s nuclear program poses to the world, Trump delivered a message worthy of Ronald Reagan. Pulling no punches and sparing no feelings among friend and foe alike, the president made clear his determination to keep the pressure on Iran and his willingness to punish anyone trying to side with Tehran:
               In the years since the [nuclear] deal was signed, Iran’s aggression only increased. The regime used new funds from the deal to support terrorism, build nuclear-capable missiles, and foment chaos. Following America’s withdrawal, the United States began re-imposing nuclear-related sanctions on Iran. All U.S. nuclear-related sanctions will be in full force by early November. They will be in full force. After that, the United States will pursue additional sanctions, tougher than ever before, to counter the entire range of Iran’s malign conduct. Any individual or entity who fails to comply with these sanctions will face severe consequences.
               The president’s blunt threat to anyone attempting to circumvent U.S. sanctions and do business with Iran should give pause to the European nations that have been making noise about doing just that. The European Union’s Federica Mogherini announced last week that the EU would attempt to form a special non-cash trade mechanism between Iran and EU nations specifically in order to avoid banking-related sanctions. Nothing could make clearer the craven mindset of the EU than a willingness to side with Iran in this way. The Europeans are more reliant than ever on foreign oil and natural gas as they pursue a utopian vision of domestic green-energy production. They have become more and more pacifist since the Soviet Union went bust, while cynically relying on the United States to be the world’s policeman. And they continue to delude themselves about the Iranian regime, thinking they can convert Iran into a responsible nation using only carrots and no stick.
               But the Europeans must know that running afoul of U.S. sanctions will be financially ruinous at a time when many EU nations already face difficult economic conditions. The United Kingdom is bumbling its way toward a hard Brexit. Italy faces a full-fledged debt crisis. Germany, supposedly the economic powerhouse of Europe, recently saw its economic outlook lowered to a meager 1.7% annual growth. The recent tsunami of Middle East and North African migration continues to stress EU nations’ social systems. And the EU as a whole is expected to remain below 2% growth for the foreseeable future. Not exactly a good time for the EU to take on the additional burden of U.S. sanctions.
               As for Iran, it is more vulnerable to sanctions than at any time since the 1990s. Its economy, which consists of little more than oil and pistachios, has been cratering, leading to protests throughout the nation in which ordinary Iranians have made clear they have no affinity for spending Iranian money on propping up Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. The Saudis, who view Iran as a mortal enemy, have signaled their willingness to increase oil production to offset lost Iranian oil exports when sanctions kick in. The United States itself has leaped nearly to the top of the list of major oil exporters, exceeding three million barrels a day, second only to Saudi Arabia and Iraq. And as we have  mentioned before, the Islamic Revolution in Iran has grown old and tired over the last 25 years — to the point that the mullahs must coerce rather than convince the Iranian people of their “right” to rule.
               President Trump has had his ups and downs since taking office, but his clear-minded focus on Iran and the threat posed by its nuclear program has been remarkable. The presence of John Bolton on the president’s national-security team should help maintain that clear-mindedness going forward, and we wholeheartedly support the president’s challenge to our notional European allies that they cannot support a pariah nation without consequences.

             Right. And as Ben Shapiro sarcastically notes, “Nothing brings the country together like FBI investigations.”
               Ironically, rino-Flake acknowledged Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes” that if he were running for reelection there’s “not a chance” that he would have called for the FBI investigation. So he willingly gave into Sen. Dianne Fein-stein’s (D-CA) and the dummycrats-Democrats’ politically orchestrated smear-job on Kavanaugh because he’s tired of the partisan nature of politics? With Republicans like this who needs dummycrats-Democrats?
               Meanwhile, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) announced that Fein-stein’s office would be investigated for leaking Ford’s confidential letter to the press. Cotton explained, “[dummycrats-Democrats] have betrayed [Ford]. She has been victimized by  dummycrats-Democrats … on a search-and-destroy mission for Brett Kavanaugh.” Seemingly confirming Republicans’ suspicion that dummycrats-Democrats were responsible for leaking Ford’s letter, Sen. scumbag-Mazie Hirono (D-HI) dodged a direct question on the matter from ABC’s George “liar-Clintonista” Stephanopoulos, asserting, “All of these things do not focus on what we should be focusing on, which is the credibility of Judge Kavanaugh.” But the suddenly stalwart Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) would have none of the dummycrats-Democrats’ obfuscation, stating flatly, “I’m going to get to the bottom of it.”
               Finally, President Donald Trump called out the  dummycrats-Democrats for their grotesque politicization of the Kavanaugh hearings, declaring, “Wow! Just starting to hear the  dummycrats-Democrats, who are only thinking Obstruct and Delay, are starting to put out the word that the ‘time’ and ‘scope’ of FBI looking into Judge Kavanaugh and witnesses is not enough. Hello! For them, it will never be enough!”

In a follow-up conversation, she described the contrast of being at that place where Patriots were willing to fight and die for Liberty — their own and generations to follow — while she simultaneously felt besieged by the current progressive assault on our Constitution and its principles.

“What struck me most was the very sad and stark contrast between those Patriots who took to the field in Concord, charging against an enemy and an empire to defend Liberty, versus the current crop of politicians who are engaging in an appalling game to destroy a good man, and by extension, our Constitution. I am very discouraged by their disgraceful antics. [Our son] is serving our nation as a Marine, abiding by his oath to our Constitution, and I expect our nation’s leaders to honor his service and that of all those like him – risking their lives to defend Liberty. These politicians can do so by honoring their own constitutional oaths.”

I asked that she not be discouraged, noting that while the battle for Liberty began at that old bridge in Concord, it did not end in 1783 with cessation of hostilities. Defending Liberty requires constant vigilance every day, and always will.

It’s no small irony that the hallowed ground at Lexington and Concord is now surrounded by a dummycrats-Democrat corridor where the majority of residents (though certainly not all) support the same statist tyranny that, in principle, those early Patriots were fighting. This is a shameful betrayal of the Liberty that first generation of American Patriots, and generations since, have defended with their lives.

It’s likewise ironic that a mere 30 miles from Concord is the town of Salem, notorious for a shameful series of colonial “trials” of more than 200 people who were accused of witchcraft and were presumed guilty — unless they could establish their innocence. Many of the accused were executed.

It is from that disgraceful chapter in English colonial history that the term “witch hunt” was derived.

Today’s campaign by dummycrats-Democrats and their media brethren to “destroy a good man” is nothing less than a modern-day witch hunt. Ancient, unsubstantiated accusations have been put forth and, just as in 17th-century Salem, the accused is being required to prove his innocence.

As the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh got underway, I wrote about the Democrats’ efforts to stop the nomination: “Obstruction of Justice: The Kavanaugh Blockade.”

After the hearings concluded, ranking committee dummycrats-Democrat Dianne Fein-stein (D-CA) delivered a vicious late hit on Kavanaugh with uncorroborated allegations of an assault by the nominee some 36 years ago. I have covered the formulation and execution of Fein-stein’s scripted charade in great detail in my column, “Judging Kavanaugh — Fein-stein’s ‘Guilty Until Proven Innocent’ Strategy.”

There is now evidence backing up the assertion that Fein-stein cooked up this collusion and obstruction strategy in July, even timing the drop of the alleged victim’s letter after the Kavanaugh hearings closed. Coinciding with Fein-stein’s receipt of that letter was a conference call to dummycrats-Democrats about the Kavanaugh nomination from leftist strategist Ricki Seidman (who is now one of the accuser’s “advisers”). In that conference call, Seidman said, “Over the coming days and weeks there will be a strategy that will emerge, and I think it’s possible that that strategy might ultimately defeat [Kavanaugh].”

Fein-stein’s complainant is one Christine Blasey Ford, a leftist Bernie Sanders-supporting California college professor, who alleges that she was subject to some kind of assault, maybe in the summer of 1982, at some location she can’t recall, by then-17-year-old Brett Kavanaugh.

Republicans won’t tolerate Fein-stein’s absurd standard of justice in the Senate. Instead, they’ll afford Judge Kavanaugh a full measure of self-defense while Fein-stein and her Demo colluders adjudicate their “guilty until proven innocent” standard in the court of public opinion, in which the loudest voice is their Leftmedia propaganda machine.

This week, after the Judiciary Committee had set a date for Fein-stein’s alleged victim to testify, the fourth and final person that Ford claimed had direct knowledge of her alleged assault, a lifelong friend, declared she also had no knowledge of the assault. And what did the dummycrats-Democrats do? They trotted out another, even less credible individual alleging in a New Yorker article that she had also been assaulted — though even the hard-left New York Times refused to run her story. That sequence of accusations and denials is covered in detail in “Destroying Kavanaugh, One Scripted Attack at a Time.”

Predictably, as the Fein-stein/Ford farce began to fade, attorney and self-promoting provocateur Michael Avenatti emerged from his rat hole hoping to steal some thunder from the Fein-stein/  Ford charade. Avenatti produced allegations from another woman who claims she was sexually assaulted at a party roughly 36 years ago. She does not claim Kavanaugh was involved in the assault but that she recalls through her intoxicated fog that he and his friend Mark Judge were at a party in “approximately 1980-1981.”

You know, Kavanaugh, that “party animal.”

If a salacious claim has Avenatti’s brand on it, you can trust it’s all about Avenatti. Laughably, he demanded that his client’s “privacy and that of her family be respected.”

The accumulation of unsubstantiated and uncorroborated charges aside, allow me to focus on two aspects of how dummycrats-Democrats have responded to these allegations: the insistence that the complainant should be believed regardless of the truth, and the insistence that Judge Kavanaugh is “guilty until proven innocent.”

These are the “ends justify the means” standards of “justice” upon which totalitarian regimes are built.

What follows are a few excerpts from the last week that demonstrate leftists’ relentless effort to turn Rule of Law on end, and to replace it with their own rule.

Consider some shameful remarks from Hawaii’s junior senator, Mazie Hirono — remarks that best frame the dummycrats-Demos’ assertion that Ford should be believed regardless and that Kavanaugh is guilty until proven innocent.

Hirono is leading the #MeToo chorus, insisting, “Women like Dr. Ford … need to be believed. They need to be believed. I just want to say to the men in this country, just shut up and step up. Do the right thing for a change.” Others are echoing that “believe her” mantra.

In response, noted Georgetown law professor Jonathan Turley (a dummycrats-Democrat) observed, “dummycrats-Democrats have insisted Ford has a ‘right to be believed.’ There are basic principles of due process that establish a right to be heard, not a right to be believed.”

Likewise, Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz (also a dummycrats-Democrat) protests: “The most disturbing thing is these people who are on television, some people I know and respect, [who say] ‘I believe her.’ You’ve never met her. You don’t know anything about her. Are women born with a special gene for telling the truth and men with a special gene for lying? … I want to hear both sides of the story and make a determination. That’s what the American system of justice is all about.”

Hirono was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper, “Doesn’t Kavanaugh have the same presumption of innocence as anyone else in America?”

She responded, “I put his denial in the context of everything I know about him. … His credibility is already very questionable in my mind and in the minds of a lot of my fellow Judiciary Committee members — the, um, dummycrats-Democrats.”

On her refusal to answer the question, Turley noted, “What’s really troubling is that it’s an easy answer. The answer is, ‘Of course. In any nation which values the Rule of Law there is a presumption of innocence.’ The fact that she had to demur on that question is quite troubling.”

Hirono is now spinning this yarn: “Look, we’re not in a court of law. We’re actually in a court of credibility…”

Got that? Witch hunt.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) insists: “[These charges] are serious and credible, and now the person with the most knowledge about them, namely Judge Brett Kavanaugh, has a responsibility to come forward with evidence to rebut them.”

So Kavanaugh is “the person with the most knowledge” about the charges who must prove his innocence? Witch hunt.

As a condition of her testimony, Ford and her lawyers brazenly insisted that Kavanaugh testify first.

Dershowitz noted that this demand is “the most absurd, anti-due process, anti-American concept.” He added, “Every civil libertarian in the country, liberal, conservative, Republican, dummycrats-Democrat, led by the Civil Libertarian Union should be outraged. … It is insane to ask an accused person to deny the accusation before he has heard the accusation being made and cross-examined.”

Sen. Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY) insisted, “Kavanaugh has not asked for the FBI to review these claims. Is that the reaction of an innocent person? It is not.” Witch hunt.

Responding to Gillibrand’s assertions, House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said, “There is a presumption of innocence and you do not have to prove your innocence. … Judge Kavanaugh does not have the burden of proving his innocence. … The government has the burden of proof in a criminal case. … The FBI has no jurisdiction in this matter.”

Minority Leader Chuck scumbag/clown-Schumer (D-NY) has doubled down, declaring that according to “standard operating procedure,” the nominee is afforded “no presumption of innocence…” Witch hunt.

On the Avenatti allegations, scumbag/clown-Schumer insists, “Republicans need to immediately suspend the proceedings related to Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination, and the president must order the FBI to reopen the background check investigation.”

Memo to scumbag/clown-Chuck: Remember in the nomination hearings for Clarence Thomas, when then-Sen. loose lips-Joe Biden (D-DE) rebuffed committee calls for an FBI investigation into Anita Hill’s spurious accusations? “The next person that refers to an FBI report as being worth anything obviously doesn’t understand anything,” declared loose lips-Biden. “[The] FBI explicitly does not, in this or any other case, reach a conclusion. Period. The reason why we cannot rely on the FBI report — you wouldn’t like it if we did — is because it is inconclusive. They say ‘He said, she said, and they said.’ Period. So when people are waving [an] FBI report before you, understand they do not, they do not, they do not reach conclusions.”

Of course, Fein-stein, Hirono, scumbag/clown-Schumer and Gillibrand know that there’s no due process in the court of public opinion, which is precisely why they’ve cast it there.

So what’s next?

dummycrats-Democrats continue to throw up obstacles to Ford’s testimony.

Fein-stein wants to have Republican members of her committee question the alleged victim, because the optics of older white men questioning a female “attempted assault victim” would provide plenty of video and sound bites going into the midterm elections. But Republicans appear to be holding firm in their intent to have an experienced prosecutor, Rachel Mitchell, question Kavanaugh’s accuser.

Recall last week, responding to Ford’s initial refusal to testify, Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) responded, “It raises the question: Do they want to have the hearing or not?”

Good question.

Given that Ford’s claims are now fully discredited by those she insisted could corroborate them, she may be a no-show on Thursday — in which case she and her dummycrats-Democrat handlers will claim that the conditions were “hostile” and “unfair” while at the same time denying Judge Kavanaugh a chance to defend his good name against specific charges. However, her attorney has released Ford’s prepared opening remarks, am indications she will appear.

Grassley has scheduled a vote on the Kavanaugh nomination for Friday at 9:30 a.m.

Of course, the Avenetti client claims will, by design, throw a wrench into the works, invoking a familiar refrain from dummycrats-Democrats insisting the Kavanaugh nomination “should be withdrawn.”

According to Blumenthal, “This nomination will not only cast a shadow over Judge Kavanaugh … it will also stain the United States Supreme Court irreparably.”

No, it is Fein-stein’s dummycrats-Democrat Party farce that is casting shadows and stains. It is likely much of that shadow will fall on the dummycrats-Democrats she has enlisted to participate in this farce, and the stain will be on the United States Senate.

Ford’s lack of credibility notwithstanding, it is Fein-stein, et al., who have lost ALL credibility. Of their deeply cynical strategy, Donald Trump declared, “It’s a very dangerous game for our country.”
