Tis the season when one’s thoughts turn toward family and friends, get-togethers, joy and good tidings and all the things that encompass Christmas, or Hanukkah…including the giving of gifts.

My thoughts, at this time of the year, always seem to turn toward…

Liberals…

The gift that keeps on giving.

Recently, it seems, liberals have made a transparently awkward attempt at becoming our nation’s political party of morality and the keeping of it, and I say…

After decade upon decade of liberalism supporting, aiding and abetting, subsidizing, and promoting every imaginable form of moral ineptitude and bankruptcy imaginable, and several that basically defy the imagination…like outwardly advocating for an organization that was caught, red-handed, harvesting and selling the body parts of aborted babies…

Liberals now seem to want to be taken seriously as our moral compass?

Elf muffins.

A scientific instrument, of such magnitude and precision as to measure the depth of the moral abyss from which liberals now want to claim the moral high-ground, has yet to be conceived…much less invented…and the actions and behaviors of liberals just continues to provide the smoke to their mirror.

Take Corrine Brown, a once high powered Member of the House from Florida…and a legend in her own mind…who will be spending the next several Christmas seasons behind bars…convicted of several counts of conspiracy and fraud related to skimming money from a fake charity supposedly intended to raise educational funds for poor, and minority students.

How many times over the decades have we all heard one liberal after another tell us all that we must do…whatever…for the sake of the children? Whatever…”whatever” was, it always came with a hefty price tag, or a substantial reduction in our Constitutional rights, but whatever “whatever” was…we had to do it…MUST do it…for the children.

Right?

Now…imagine if you will, a scam artist, a liberal…stealing money from a charity that actually never really existed…that had been sold to the public as a funding machine for poor, underprivileged, minority youth, and using it to do nothing more than pad her paycheck…which by the way, was also a product of the American taxpayer. Further consider that said scam artist was a big cog in the very party that has supposedly suddenly adopted morality as its new and improved calling card.

It’s enough to make your chestnuts roast on an open fire…isn’t it?

Then we have Al Franken-Groper, who just last week delivered, from the floor of the Senate, a heartfelt speech in which he offered his tacit resignation.

Note to liberals who want to be taken seriously as our nation’s new moral compass…

If you decide to deliver a “heartfelt” speech form ANY floor…next time take steps to deliver that speech from your heart…and not read it from a ream of unbound pieces of paper that must be turned every two sentences because, apparently, the font is so large, and bold-faced as to be readily seen from ORBIT.

During his heartfelt reading of a prepared speech that a supposed actor couldn’t have been bothered to commit to memory, Fraken-Groper said that some…SOME…of the allegations were false…and that others, he remembered…differently. He even went so far as to state that…it wasn’t him.

Really? Then who was it? Some impish appearing toad with the abject misgiving of looking exactly LIKE him in all those photos?

Franken-Groper then went the extra mile, and stated there was irony in the fact that he was being forced to leave the dingy halls of the Senate while…”a man who has bragged on tape about his history of the sexual assault sits in the Oval Office and a man who has repeatedly preyed on young girls campaigns for the Senate with the full support of his party.”

Oh…really?

A plethora of Republicans have called for Roy Moore to step aside…so that part of Franken-Groper’s heartfelt reading is a complete lie, and as for his allegations regarding President Trump…show us the evidence, and if all you’ve got is a year’s old audio tape of locker room banter…you’ve got nothing.…I’ll wait and thumb through a litany of photos of you…Mr. Franken-Groper…either fondling the various body parts of a wide array of women…or pretending to fondle those who were, at the time, taking a nap.

Drawing a finer point on Franken-Groper…we should note that after repeated calls from Republicans for him to resign…it wasn’t until his own party…the party that has propped up a dress stainer and cigar moistener for the better part of two decades, and now wants us to believe it is the party of moral righteousness…called for him to shut up and get out, that he finally made the Senate floor version of a Stuart Smally skit, telling us he was good enough, smart enough and that doggone it, people like him…but he’s leaving anyway.

Basically, I don’t give a partridge’s pair poop about Franken-Groper, his party OR their lame claim on morality.

All of that aside…liberals, the gift that keeps on giving, aren’t all the rage in Washington this year…but they are IN a rage…over NOT being invited to President Trump’s White House Hanukkah party.

Get this…

Invites to Jewish Democratic lawmakers weren’t lost in the mail…they were never on the list, and the little liberal snowflakes aren’t taking it very well.

According to Debbie What’s-Her-Name Schultz, “I think it’s an unforced error on the president’s part and a missed opportunity.”

What’s-Her-Name Schultz went on to state… “Why would you make partisan decisions about invitations that are entirely not partisan? Hanukkah is something that’s important to all Jews; the tradition is to invite the Jewish members of Congress. My feelings certainly aren’t hurt by not being invited but the few opportunities that we do have to come together certainly should include a celebration like Hanukkah.”

No…her precious, melting snowflake feelings weren’t hurt…not at all…she just wants to know why Republican Jewish members of congress WERE invited…and SHE…WASN’T.

Well, let me see if I can clear this up for her…Debbie…you spent the last 2 years trying to run Donald Trump into the ground, to the point that you became such a liability to your own party that you were forced out as the head of the DNC…and you wonder why you weren’t invited to the White House Hanukkah party?

Just wait until congressional Republicans get a pony for Christmas from President Trump…

And Debbie DOESN’T.

Then there’s the fact that congressional liberals stood shoulder to shoulder with the closet Muslim Obama for 8 years as he…and they…did everything imaginable to help 7^th century barbarians wipe Israel from the map.

That may have played a role in the invitation snub.

In fact, I can think of a number of reasons not to invite What’s-Her-Name Schultz to a party, not least of which is the fact that the snippy poodle is up to her beady eyeballs in the Awan brothers scandal, but the fact that no liberal congress members of the Jewish faith were invited to President’s Trump’s first White House Hanukkah party is nothing more than evidence that Trump is, once again, out thinking the liberals.

Liberal boo-hooing over not being invited and placing the blame on Trump’s partisanship is as transparently false as is the liberal’s supposedly new-found sense of morality. Those snooty-patooty liberals were just looking for a way to use the opportunity of an invite to unleash a tirade of some sort against President Trump.

Rep. Lois Frankel, D-West Palm Beach, all but confirmed my theory when she said, “Let me just say this, not to be a hypocrite, I wouldn’t be going to any party at the White House with him. If you think about it, all members should probably be invited. We were all invited to the Christmas party, we should all probably be invited to the Hanukkah party.”

She wouldn’t be going to ANY party at the White House with him…not the Hanukkah party, OR the Christmas party…all she, and ostensibly they wanted, was an invite so THEY could snub President Trump. They would have declined the invitations had they received them, and they would have used the opportunity to launch some new, baseless political attack against our President. As it turned out, Trump beat them to the snub, and simply didn’t invite them.

Why so many Jews in this country are members of the Hate Israel liberal party of newly discovered moral enlightenment I’ll never know, but that’s another reason not to invite liberal congressional Jews to the White House Hanukkah party….the last thing you’d want at a celebration like that, is a bunch of yahoos wearing little pink pussy protest yarmulkes.

Liberals…the party of newly discovered moral enlightenment?

Not by the short hair from which dangles their last holiday-hating dingle berry.

Liberals are to morality what “Palestinians” are to the peace process…counterproductive. While the Palestinians want to fool people into believing they’re actively seeking a peace accord, liberals want to fool folks into believing they’re interested…after all these decades…in seeking the moral high-ground.

The only people either is fooling is themselves…but it’s not all that difficult to fool…fools.

Let’s just have a little look at a few OTHER members of the party that is now trying to convince us that they are the new guardian of our nation’s moral well-being.

There’s Captain UNDERPANTS…John Conyers…who “retired” after it was disclosed he held official Senate office meetings in his UNDERWEAR.

Anthony Weiner…the PETER TWEETER who had been sending selfies of his elfies to under-aged girls.

Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren, who ditched her “white privilege” and pretended to be a Native American for academic benefits and jobs.

Matt Lauer, now the FORMER anchor of NBC’s Today Show, who apparently has been for years, if not decades, the poster boy for misogyny while also being the poster boy for the whole of the liberal mainstream media’s propaganda machine had to pack up his office full of sex toys and take the subway home as his wife skipped the country.

And just blindfold yourselves and toss a dart at the roster of Hollywood elite…you could hardly miss perforating a pervert there. By the way…on the whole Hollywood topic…remember when the perviest guy we knew about in that particular enclave was Pee Wee Herman…who, by the way…only groped HIMSELF???

Now, I’m not saying that the right side of the aisle is lilly white in all of this, as there clearly have been issues with certain bad actors in the Republican party…but…when they surface, the call for them to get the hell out are immediate.

On the other hand…it was Boner Bill Clinton who DEFINED the lack of morality liberal agenda for DECADES…and now, just to try and prove their newly discovered morality, liberals are tacitly throwing HIM under the bus.

The question is…depending on what the definition of “is” is one supposes…have the liberals really, suddenly become…morality enhanced?

Nope. Not even close, and the proof can easily be found if one knows under which rock to look, and turning over that rock is easier than you might think.

Ask yourselves a few simple questions…

Have liberals suddenly turned their backs against…abortion…against socialism…against raising taxes…or against appeasement of our enemies?

Have liberals suddenly turned in favor of the 2^nd Amendment…in favor of lower taxes…in favor of building a wall to enhance border enforcement, or if liberals will now…suddenly…be placing manger scenes in city parks?

All of these examples reflect a certain sense of morality in America, and yet liberals have not exhibited one elf’s eyelash of regard for any of those things. The ONLY exhibition of ANY scintilla of newfound morality amongst the liberals is their willingness to throw under the bus…any other liberal they now deem expendable, and replaceable based on what? Claims of sexual misdeeds…with or without any evidence…it doesn’t matter.

The point of doing this, is a desperate attempt to be able to say that THEY went after THEIR own…but when it comes to Trump…we’re not willing to go after OUR own, and use that against us in both 2018 and 2020 elections.

Liberals don’t mind one bit if they have to get rid of a few of Hollywood’s elite or a handful of deep blue state Members of Congress, so long as it serves the furtherance of socialism. Captain Underpants and Franken-Groper are easily replaceable by a new wave of even more socialistic liberals…and Boner Bill became completely irrelevant when he couldn’t deliver the Queen of Uranium sales to the White House.

This new moralism in the liberal machine isn’t a new leaf…it’s just the same old calculating worms under the same old rock.

By the way, it’s already backfiring on them…Roy Moore’s accuser, the one with the media-seeking missile attorney, Gloria All-Washed Up has admitted to forgery where Moore’s supposed inscription in her dusty old yearbook is concerned, and last week, Republican Trent Franks admitted to a boneheaded move with a couple of women on his staff and resigned…EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY…rather than in a few weeks like Franken-Groper and Captain Underpants.

Don’t be fooled…the party that’s stood for, promoted and advocated for every amoral plank on the platform, from slavery to Jim Crow laws, and from socialism, to treason to wetting one’s cigar in an intern is just as sleazy and amoralistic today as they’ve always been.

Liberals pretending to be the pillars of virtue and morality are a lot like monkeys trying to hump a football…they’re both a hoot to watch, but at the end of the day…neither is going to find the satisfaction they’re all hot and bothered for.

Case in point…the day AFTER President Trump issued formal recognition of Jerusalem as the rightful Capital of Israel…and on the day OF the White House Hanukkah party that Debbie What’s-Her-Name wasn’t invited to attend…congressional liberals tried, but failed in an epic fashion, to IMPEACH President Trump.

The vote against the attempt in the House was a staggering 364-58.

In the same week that liberals tried to impeach President Trump…they lost Franken-Groper, Captain Underpants AND Matt Lauer.

Ahhhhh…liberals…the gift that keeps on giving.

by Political Editors: Politics is as much about optics as it is policy. Unfortunately, Republicans too often fail to take seriously the impact of the former upon the latter. Nowhere is this problem more evident than in the current negotiations between House and Senate Republicans as they work toward a unified tax-reform plan. The GOP’s latest compromise plays right into the Democrats’ caricature of Republicans as greedy money grubbers who always favor the wealthy over and against the working middle class.

Aiming to make the tax cuts as effective as possible for working class families, Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Mike Lee (R-UT) sought to lessen the corporate tax cuts by 1% in order to offset expanding the child tax credit (CTC). Republicans quickly voted this down as it was argued that the 20% corporate tax rate needed to be maintained.
However, now Republicans are seeking to raise the corporate tax rate to 21% — just as Rubio and Lee proposed — but this time to offset tax cuts on individuals making $500,000 or couples earning $1 million annually. Wisdom of the policy aside, the optics really can’t get worse, as it looks almost literally like Republicans are taking from the working class in order to give to the wealthy. The truth is much more nuanced, especially given the fact that many working-class families end up paying next to nothing in federal income tax, even though they are hit with payroll taxes like everyone else. But the worst part is the perception that Republicans created when they were unwilling to budge on the corporate tax rate to help families via the CTC, but now when it comes to cutting tax rates on the wealthiest they seemingly have a change of heart and are willing to negotiate that 20% corporate tax rate.
Now the Democrats will scream about the Republicans favoring the wealthy, and, unfortunately, they will have a point — however skewed.

The Nutball the Neocons Wanted in NATO

{townhall.com} ~ Even interventionists are regretting some of the wars into which they helped plunge the United States in this century.

Among those wars are Afghanistan and Iraq, the longest in our history; Libya, which was left without a stable government; Syria's civil war, a six-year human rights disaster we helped kick off by arming rebels to overthrow Bashar Assad; and Yemen, where a U.S.-backed Saudi bombing campaign and starvation blockade is causing a humanitarian catastrophe.

Yet, twice this century, the War Party was beaten back when seeking a clash with Putin's Russia. And the "neo-isolationists" who won those arguments served America well.

What triggered this observation was an item on Page 1 of Wednesday's New York Times that read in its entirety:

"Mikheil Saakashvili, former president of Georgia, led marchers through Kiev after threatening to jump from a five-story building to evade arrest. Page A4"

Who is Saakashvili? The wunderkind elected in 2004 in Tbilisi after a "Rose Revolution" we backed during George W. Bush's crusade for global democracy.

During the Beijing Olympics in August 2008, Saakashvili sent his army crashing into the tiny enclave of South Ossetia, which had broken free of Georgia when Georgia broke free of Russia.

In overrunning the enclave, however, Saakashvili's troops killed Russian peacekeepers. Big mistake. Within 24 hours, Putin's tanks and troops were pouring through Roki Tunnel, running Saakashvili's army out of South Ossetia, and occupying parts of Georgia itself.

As defeat loomed for the neocon hero, U.S. foreign policy elites were alive with denunciations of "Russian aggression" and calls to send in the 82nd Airborne, bring Georgia into NATO, and station U.S. forces in the Caucasus.

"We are all Georgians!" thundered RINO-John McCain.

Not quite. When an outcry arose against getting into a collision with Russia, Bush, reading the nation right, decided to confine U.S. protests to the nonviolent. A wise call.

And Saakashvili? He held power until 2013, and then saw his party defeated, was charged with corruption, and fled to Ukraine. There, President Boris Poroshenko, beneficiary of the Kiev coup the U.S. had backed in 2014, put him in charge of Odessa, one of the most corrupt provinces in a country rife with corruption.

In 2016, an exasperated Saakashvili quit, charged his patron Poroshenko with corruption, and fled Ukraine. In September, with a band of supporters, he made a forced entry back across the border.

Here is the Times' Andrew Higgins on his latest antics:

"On Tuesday ... Saakashvili, onetime darling of the West, took his high-wire political career to bizarre new heights when he climbed onto the roof of his five-story apartment building in the center of Kiev...

"As ... hundreds of supporters gathered below, he shouted insults at Ukraine's leaders ... and threatened to jump if security agents tried to grab him.

"Dragged from the roof after denouncing Mr. Poroshenko as a traitor and a thief, the former Georgian leader was detained but then freed by his supporters, who ... blocked a security service van before it could take Mr. Saakashvili to a Kiev detention center and allowed him to escape.

"With a Ukrainian flag draped across his shoulders and a pair of handcuffs still attached to one of his wrists, Mr. Saakashvili then led hundreds of supporters in a march across Kiev toward Parliament. Speaking through a bullhorn he called for 'peaceful protests' to remove Mr. Poroshenko from office, just as protests had toppled the former President, Victor F. Yanukovych, in February 2014."

This reads like a script for a Peter Sellers movie in the '60s.

Yet this clown was president of Georgia, for whose cause in South Ossetia some in our foreign policy elite thought we should go to the brink of war with Russia.

And there was broad support for bringing Georgia into NATO. This would have given Saakashvili an ability to ignite a confrontation with Russia, which could have forced U.S. intervention.

Consider Ukraine. Three years ago, RINO-McCain was declaring, in support of the overthrow of the elected pro-Russian government in Kiev, "We are all Ukrainians now."

Following that coup, U.S. elites were urging us to confront Putin in Crimea, bring Ukraine, as well as Georgia, into NATO, and send Kiev the lethal weapons needed to defeat Russian-backed rebels in the East.

This could have led straight to a Ukraine-Russia war, precipitated by our sending of U.S. arms.

Do we really want to cede to folks of the temperament of Mikhail Saakashvili an ability to instigate a war with a nuclear-armed Russia, which every Cold War president was resolved to avoid, even if it meant accepting Moscow's hegemony in Eastern Europe all the way to the Elbe?

Watching Saakashvili losing it in the streets of Kiev like some blitzed college student should cause us to reassess the stability of all these allies to whom we have ceded a capacity to drag us into war.

Alliances, after all, are the transmission belts of war.

by Jordan Candler: The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act made headway last week when the House approved the measure by a 231-198 vote. Minority Leader Nancy Pulosi sniped at Republicans for supporting concealed carry reciprocity, lamenting on Twitter, “Inviting violent criminals to carry concealed weapons doesn’t save lives. Inviting domestic abusers to carry concealed weapons doesn’t save lives. Inviting convicted stalkers to carry concealed weapons doesn’t save lives. Yet the @HouseGOP just voted to do exactly that #StopCCR.”

Pulosi’s disingenuous remark is irresponsible simply by virtue of common sense. In most states, there is a process for obtaining a concealed carry permit, and it’s akin to buying a firearm at your local gun dealer. Don’t pass a background check? Then you don’t get a permit. Some states even require training for a permit. But more to the point: Not a single armed criminal consults their state’s concealed carry law before deciding if they should carry a firearm. Democrats pretend the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is relevant to criminals when in reality it’s about giving lawful citizens equal protection no matter where they travel.
Nevertheless, Pulosi and her media darlings are portraying Republicans as criminal accomplices. According to Glenn Kessler at The Washington Post, his research revealed that Pulosi was referencing “information provided by Everytown for Gun Safety,” an anti-gun group, which helps explain the ridiculousness of her assertion. But after spending some 1,000 words laying out “The Facts” of the matter at hand, Kessler applies “The Pinocchio Test.” Sadly, his conclusion is likewise devoid of actual facts. “We wavered between Two and Three Pinocchios,” he says, “but ultimately settled on Three because her last line … is so over the top and exaggerated.”
Oh please. Her entire premise is over the top and exaggerated. It’s nothing but a lie. It deserved nothing short of Four Pinocchios — the Post’s maximum — yet Kessler was ultimately debating between giving her a 25% or 50% discount because she is, after all, a Democrat. What’s more absurd — Pulosi’s claim, or Kessler’s defense of it? You can be sure of one thing when it comes to today’s Leftmedia: These supposed fact-checkers are enabling the falsehoods they claim to be fighting against.

{city-journal.org} ~ Justice Anthony Kennedy’s surprisingly tough questioning of the lawyers for the state of Colorado and the gay wedding-cake customers at Tuesday’s Supreme Court argument in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission bodes well for free speech. Kennedy’s clear skepticism about a central premise of the discrimination case against Masterpiece proprietor Jack Phillips, and his distaste for the apparent religious bias against Phillips shown by at least one of the state commissioners, is cause for at least cautious optimism that the Court will put an end to one of the most disturbing threats to First Amendment rights in years.

Phillips is a devout evangelical Christian who refuses to make cakes for Halloween or for bachelor parties, and would not design them with racist or anti-gay themes. His path to the Supreme Court began five years ago, in July 2012, when a gay couple, Charlie Craig and David Mullins, came to his suburban Denver shop seeking a custom-made cake for their wedding. He declined the business because of his religious beliefs, but offered to sell them any off-the-shelf baked goods, or to design cakes for them for other occasions. The state Civil Rights Commission found that Phillips had discriminated against Craig and Mullins, in violation of the state’s gay rights law, and ordered him to design wedding cakes for gay couples if he continued to do so for straight couples. Rather than violate his conscience, Phillips stopped making any wedding cakes, thus losing 40 percent of his business.

Phillips’s case joins others around the country in which government civil rights authorities and gay couples have brought actions under state or local gay rights laws to compel photographers, florists, and cake designers to provide customized personal services for same-sex weddings—frequently requiring their attendance at the ceremonies, despite their religious objections to same-sex marriage. None of the small-business and crafts people in the dock in these cases has refused to sell commercial goods to gay people. Like Phillips, all have said that they would be happy to provide previously prepared products for same-sex weddings, and several had longstanding business relationships with the gay customers who sued them.

Lower courts have said that this doesn’t matter; refusal to service the same-sex wedding of customers whom one otherwise does business with is still discrimination based on sexual orientation, because, in the words of the Colorado appellate court in Phillips’s case, “the act of same-sex marriage is closely correlated to . . . sexual orientation” in that it is “engaged in exclusively or predominantly by gays, lesbians, and bisexuals.” But by that logic, a black carpenter who refuses to make the cross for a Ku Klux Klan rally, and a black photographer who refuses to photograph the festivities, are guilty of racial discrimination, even if they make cabinets for white people and take family photos of them, since the act of attending a Klan rally is engaged in exclusively or predominantly by whites and is thus “closely correlated” to race.

Leading gay-marriage proponent Andrew Sullivan has called these cases “repellent” and “anathema,” and it is not hyperbole to view them as an almost unprecedented assault on First Amendment rights. Being compelled to use one’s creative talents to “celebrate something that offends your beliefs,” or to bear witness against one’s conscience, has an Orwellian cruelty that makes it even more vile than negative restraints on freedom.

If the state can commandeer wedding photographers to celebrate gay marriage, how big a slide is it to conscripting writers into the cause as well? If that seems far-fetched, consider that the lawyers bringing these cases argue that photographers, bakers, and florists forego their religious and artistic freedoms because they offer their services in the commercial market. But so do most freelance writers, lawyers, and clergymen, who typically charge a small fee to perform weddings.

In the Masterpiece Cakeshop argument, all eyes were on Kennedy, the swing vote who has authored the Court’s four major gay-rights decisions, including the declaration of a right to same-sex marriage in the 2015 Obergefell case, but who has also joined opinions holding that gay civil rights claims did not trump the First Amendment speech and associational rights of the Boy Scouts or of St. Patrick’s Day Parade marchers. Still, many observers believe that Kennedy, 81 and conscious of his gay rights legacy, is likely to side against Phillips. Some of his early questioning of Phillips’s lawyer and of the U.S. Solicitor General, supporting Phillips on behalf of the Trump administration, seemed to bear this out. Kennedy worried about an “affront to the gay community” if Phillips prevailed and similarly inclined bakers responded by putting signs in their windows announcing that “we do not bake cakes for gay weddings.” Even more speculatively, he raised concern about “bakers all over the country” succumbing to “urgent requests” from unnamed sources not to service gay weddings.

But his toughest questioning was reserved for lawyers on the other side. Challenging the claim that Phillips had declined to serve Craig and Mullins because of their identity as gay people, rather than because of his religious opposition to same-sex marriage, Kennedy told their ACLU lawyer, “I think . . . your identity thing is just too facile.” He was perturbed that one of the civil rights commissioners who decided Phillips’s fate had stated that “freedom of religion and religion has been used to justify all kinds of discrimination” and that it was “despicable” for “people . . . to use their religion to hurt others.” Pressing the state’s lawyer to disavow that statement, Kennedy asked if the judgment against Phillips could stand if “we thought there was a significant aspect of hostility to a religion in this case.” Kennedy cut to the heart of the case, and to his own effort to balance his gay rights sympathies with First Amendment rights, when he said:

Counselor, tolerance is essential in a free society. And tolerance is most meaningful when it’s mutual. It seems to me that the state in its position here has been neither tolerant nor respectful of Mr. Phillips’s religious beliefs.

“Accommodation is quite possible” in the case, Kennedy said. Indeed, there are few situations in which tolerance of conscientious objectors to the reigning orthodoxy seems at once so proper and so easy. The rapid acceptance of gay marriage—officially opposed on religious grounds by Barack liar-nObama just six years ago—has been one of the swiftest, most epochal social changes in history. Surely the rights of the minority who still hold to President liar-nObam’s 2011 position, and the even smaller minority who will sacrifice income in service of this belief, can be accommodated without “undermining every civil rights law,” as Justice Breyer fretted, or triggering the mass boycott of gay weddings that concerned Kennedy. In a pluralist democracy that values diversity and freedom, these dissenters should be tolerated and respected (as Kennedy himself said in Obergefell), rather than brought to heel.

by Political Editors: Not only have members within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau sought to resist Donald Trump’s appointment of Mick Mulvaney to temporarily head the rogue agency, it also appears that some egregiously corrupt practices have been occurring there.

A former employee at the CFPB, Cassandra Jackson, is now blowing the whistle on the agency alleging “widespread racism and gender discrimination” among the management, as well the extremely serious charge of “falsifying documents” relating to an investigation the agency was conducting into a Texas-based payday lending company. Jackson recounts, “During the course of this examination, I was asked [by my superiors] to change, remove and otherwise falsify documents connected with this examination.” Jackson claims that her superiors ordered her to do this so as to make it appear like the payday lending company had violated the law. She refused to comply and faced retaliatory action, while her managers then went ahead and falsified the reports anyway. She says she has documentation to back up her claims.
Due to the actions of the CFPB, the payday lending company, Ace Cash Express, was forced to shell out millions in fines and fees. Now, we’re not defending payday lenders, which do tend to prey on the poor, but if Jackson’s accusations prove to be true, then the CFPB has engaged in a fraudulent shakedown. by Thomas Gallatin: An all-too-familiar stench of politicization is now strongly wafting from Robert Mueller’s investigation, which is looking more and more like a swamp creature than a corruption fighter. Even as there continues to be a total lack of evidence supporting the Trump/Russia collusion conspiracy, on which the creation of Mueller’s special counsel hinged, there is a growing pile of evidence suggesting that the investigation itself is compromised; that it is rife with liar-nObama/liar-Clinton.

For starters, six of Mueller’s team of 15 lawyers were liar-Hillary Clinton donors. While that’s not illegal, it does little to alleviate concerns over the possibility of the investigation being a designed partisan hit job. Second, and what is proving to be most concerning, are the incestuous connections between Mueller team members and liar-nObama/liar-Clinton.
So who are these Mueller team members who are potentially compromised?
Andrew Weissman is a veteran prosecutor who was found to have praised Sally Yates, an liar-nObama holdover at the Justice Department, for her refusal to enforce Donald Trump’s temporary travel ban executive order. Weissman emailed Yates, “I am so proud. And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respect.” Sounds impartial, no?
How about Aaron Zebley, who had a long working relationship with Mueller and was known as his “right hand” man when Mueller headed the FBI. In 2015, Zebley represented Justin Cooper, liar-Clinton’s IT staffer who helped set up the former secretary of state’s secret home server, and participated in the smashing of liar-Hillary’s Blackberry devices to avoid them being subpoenaed.
Then there is the too-hot-to-trot pair Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, both no longer on the Mueller team, who were engaged in an extramarital affair. The pair shared over 10,000 texts in 2016 that are currently being reviewed by Justice Department. The content of those texts show both were highly critical of and opposed to Trump while they favored liar-Hillary, with text such as “F Trump” and “liar-Hillary should win 100,000,000 – 0.”
But there’s more to these two. Both Strzok and Page were key players in the FBI’s investigation into the liar-Clinton email scandal. Strzok was responsible for the significant language change that softened the implications against liar-Clinton from criminal “grossly negligent” to the less prosecutable “extremely careless.” Strzok was the agent who oversaw the FBI’s interviews of Mike Flynn, who has subsequently pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. And Strzok was also a key figure in the FBI’s handling of the fake liar-Clinton/DNC-funded anti-Trump “dossier” created by Fusion GPS.
Speaking of Fusion GPS, it is now being reported that Bruce Ohr, a Justice Department official who was recently demoted from a senior position, is married to a woman who worked for Fusion GPS through last fall. Her online published works shows that she has written extensively on Russia-related topics, and Fusion GPS has confirmed her hiring to investigate Trump.
There are just too many convenient connections here for one to naively conclude that the Mueller team is engaged in an impartial and unbiased investigation. Rather, this is a witch-hunt looking for any means possible for taking down the target. ~The Patriot Post

by Louis DeBroux: Under President Donald Trump, the economy has shed the sluggishness of the Barack liar-nObama years and taken off, resulting in more jobs, higher wages and more business investment. Progressive Democrats can’t stand it.

liar-nObama is the only U.S. president to never achieve a single year of 3%+ GDP growth. Despite three major hurricanes, this year we’ve already witnessed two consecutive quarters of such growth. It has been so significant that even The New York Times was forced to acknowledge it, last week declaring, “The American job market is the strongest it’s been in a decade, and arguably the strongest since 2000.” That it is.
The Trump economy — thanks to an aggressive agenda of slashing burdensome regulations, cutting taxes and “draining the swamp” — is close to firing on all cylinders. The current unemployment rate of 4.1% is a 17-year low and, as noted by Investor’s Business Daily, “It’s broad-based, with minorities, women, men and even those with low incomes, showing the best gains.” In fact, the only demographic not to see significant employment gains is teenagers, who are suffering from the relentless Democrat effort to pass huge minimum wage hikes that price unskilled labor right out of the job market.
Trump has done his part to stimulate economic growth, and after nearly a year of legislative fecklessness from the Senate, it appears that Republicans are close to passing a major tax reform bill. Not surprisingly, Democrats and their Leftmedia super PAC object.
In a recent Reuters article, columnist Lucia Mutikani “reported” that “U.S. job growth increased at a strong clip in November, painting a portrait of a healthy economy that analysts say does not require the kind of fiscal stimulus that President Donald Trump is proposing.” In other words, Trump’s economy is already picking up steam, so we shouldn’t reduce the levels at which the gaping maw of the federal leviathan devours the earnings of American workers. Heaven forbid those who earn the money actually keep the money!
In its current state, the GOP’s tax bill would slash taxes by $1.5 trillion over 10 years (out of a projected revenue of $43 trillion), but even this meager 3.5% reduction is too much for the fanboys and fangirls of Big Government. That’s because statist Democrats believe the checkbooks of American workers rightfully belong to government.
Just consider how this issue is framed by The Washington Post’s Damian Paletta, who whined, “Until now, Republicans had the benefit of not explaining how they’d pay for their tax overhaul, which was going to cost trillions of dollars without offsets. Ultimately, Republicans agreed to borrow up to $1.5 trillion to finance the tax cut.”
Taxes are the earnings of private citizens confiscated by government to pay for its operations. A tax cut, therefore, is a reduction in the rate at which government takes a worker’s earnings. To say that the government must borrow to finance a tax cut is to assert that the earnings rightfully belong to government first, and that allowing workers to keep more of their earnings amounts to an irresponsible grant from government. That may be true in a nation of slaves, but NOT in a nation of free men and women.
The Left seems most livid about the fact that high-earners and corporations get the biggest tax cuts, but that only makes sense; they pay by far the most taxes. The hated, evil Top 1% (those making $1.8 million or higher) earned 19.2% of income but paid 28.2% of income taxes. The top 10% (those earning above $181,000) earned 41.7% of income but paid 55% of all taxes. The bottom 20% earned 4% of income and paid 0.8% of the taxes.
So yes, when we reduce tax rates, logically those paying the taxes will see the biggest savings. Think of it in terms of weight loss. If a drug company promises taking their pill will result in a 20% weight loss in six months, is it somehow unfair to a 150-lb woman who loses 30 pounds because a 600-lb man lost 120 pounds? Both benefitted equally in proportion to their starting weight.
This rage against corporate tax cuts is also utter foolishness, and it reveals an astonishing level of ignorance of how businesses work. Tax cuts to businesses leave profits in the bank and therefore more capital that can be invested in pay raises, benefit increases, equipment upgrades, etc. All of these benefit the employees of these businesses.
Democrats (and anti-Trump Republican Sen. Bob Corker) have also lamented the possibility of a growing deficit due to tax cuts, which is quite disingenuous from a group of people who worked side-by-side with liar-nObama as he doubled the national debt, increasing it by a staggering $10 trillion. Of course anyone with a high school competency in math understands that the problem is not that we tax too little, but that we spend too much.
The reality is that the rapid ramp-up in the economy is a direct result of the positive outlook held by consumers and businesses as a result of Trump’s tax-cutting, pro-growth agenda. The economy will grow even more if tax reform passes. Combined with federal spending cuts and a reduction in the size and scope of government, we could see an economic boom not seen since the Reagan years.

by Lewis Morris: America is approaching a major fiscal crisis, one that could fundamentally change our way of life, and not for the better. That crisis, of course, is the growing national debt. Clocking in at $20.2 trillion at the end of fiscal 2017, which ended Sept. 30, the debt boggles the mind and confounds the imagination. Economists, certain members of the business community, and reasonable elected officials (what few still remain) are deeply concerned about this. And the public should be, too. Yet, far too many people are remarkably unconcerned about the current state of affairs.

Admittedly, it’s hard to wrap one’s head around such a staggering figure. With “just” $1 trillion, you could buy every NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball team in the country. And $20 trillion is greater than the market capitalization of all the companies on the S&P 500. The richest single person in the world, currently Amazon founder and owner of the Washington Post Jeff Bezos, only holds $90 billion.
All this fun trivia aside, our national debt is frighteningly real. And few people in Washington, none of them Democrats, want to do anything about it.
The size of the number adds a level of disbelief, but another reason for inaction is the perception that economic doomsayers have been crying wolf. Ever since the debt crossed the trillion-dollar threshold during the Reagan presidency, we have been hearing constant warnings about the growing national debt and the harm that it will cause the economy. These warnings were real, but they went unheeded.
Aside from some cyclical recessions, the 80s and 90s proved to be good economic times for the country. Low unemployment, booming business and life-changing technological innovations muted conversations about the debt and the growth of the federal government. Budget surpluses in the late 90s all but kicked concern over the national debt to the curb. What few people realized at the time, however, was that even with those surpluses, the national debt continued to grow every year, thanks in part to the interest on the debt that continued to mount.
In fact, the national debt has not decreased year over year since fiscal 1957. At that time, the debt dropped from $272.7 billion to $272.5 billion. When Dwight Eisenhower was president, that $200 million cut was probably a big deal. Now, it’s too small to even be considered a rounding error.
A trillion-dollar national debt was not motivation enough for Washington to change its spending ways. Crossing the $5 trillion threshold in 1996 didn’t seem to rattle enough lawmakers to pass spending reform, either. In 2008, when the debt reached $10 trillion, Republican lawmakers sounded alarms and proposed serious spending and entitlement reforms. Democrats, however, balked at the idea and accused Republicans of class warfare.
Then along came Barack liar-nObama. In his eight years in office, the national debt doubled in size. Neither he nor his Democrat cadres in Congress expressed any concern over the issue. And they jealously defended Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security from any reforms, ignoring the fact that these are the very entitlement programs that were driving America over a fiscal cliff.
The Left’s inverted view of the American economy is based on the idea that the federal government is the driver of the economy, not the private sector. Embracing this mindset allows them to push the idea that deficits do not suggest a spending problem, but a revenue problem.
This is why the current tax cut that we hope to see before Christmas is the bane of Democrats. They are trying to frame the tax cut as a loser because it will supposedly add $1.5 trillion to the deficit over the next 10 years. As if we are supposed to believe they really care about that after supporting liar-nObama’s record-breaking annual budget deficits for eight straight years.
At what point, though, does the national debt become a critical problem? Decades of watching the debt grow have not yet led to fiscal disaster, even if we are seeing the early effects of massive debt.
The Heritage Foundation’s Romina Boccia refers to it as the “silent crisis.” Fewer jobs and slower economic growth are the first symptoms. If the present course holds, the coming years will bring high inflation, economic contraction, a shrinking ability to maintain current entitlements, and a complete inability to afford new ones.
The tax cuts will help prime the pump to get the economy moving, but spending cuts must follow if the national debt is to be brought under control. Targeted spending cuts to shrink the size of the federal government and sincere reform of Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security are the only way to prevent a financial calamity that could wreck this country.
Democrats don’t want to touch entitlements at all. But if something isn’t done to reverse the course of the growing debt, the day will come when those entitlements will go away all by themselves because the government won’t be able to pay for them anymore. And if action is not taken now, that day won’t be far off. Best estimates give us a decade or so before that happens. It’s better to do something now while there is still time and options. The longer Washington waits, the more painful the fix will be. ~The Patriot Post

People are being accused daily of sexually harassing others. Some are being accused of rape, others of pedophilia. More often than not in this hate-filled atmosphere these accusations are about alleged events that took place years ago, there were no reports to authorities, no charges filed, no court dates, no trials. The statute of limitations ranges from none to 30 years, depending on the state, but many of these allegations are coming long after the statute of limitations is run out. In California, for example, the statute of limitations for rape is ten years. In New York there is none. People are wondering how Christians can support a politician who has been accused of sexual crimes when the Bible would instruct otherwise.

First, the people in this country have become so mean-spirited and nasty toward one another that there is a natural backlash against accusations-whether they are true or false-cast toward those who represent Christian values. We feel they are being persecuted. Second, we are a country of laws. If charges were not filed, even though there are years and years in which to file them, and suddenly allegations are made in public long after statutes of limitations are expired, no law has been broken. This brings us to another point-what is the motive of these accusations years after the alleged incident? Those that accuse, when they are accused, they say, "Why are you bringing this up, that was years ago?"

No one should endure sexual harassment, sexual assault, or rape-never. Likewise, an innocent person should not be accused of such. So long as there are natural attractions between men and women, there will be sexual interaction. But people now are even cautious about greeting one another with a hug. Satan will try to use that to disrupt and destroy. This satanic effort is very effective in separating the natural in favor of the unnatural. We know that satan accuses the brethren as in Revelation 12:10, "...before our God day and night." Those on earth do the same. But disciples of Jesus know the truth of Romans 5:8, "But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

I am reminded of the woman who was caught in the very act of adultery and she faced the terrible death by stoning when Christ intervened. He said in John 8:7, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." Ashamed, they left one by one. Then Jesus said to the woman, "go, and sin no more." As Christians, we can look at repentance and a person's body of work as a testimony to who they have become. As written in 1 Corinthians 6:11 of a list of sinners who will not inherit the kingdom of God, "And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, by the Spirit of our God." During this time of hate-filled incivility, let us call on the Lord to protect our minds, help us discern the truth, and speak it boldly, yet humbly, to others. It's how we win this battle.

Text messages released by the Department of Justice Tuesday revealed an extreme anti-Trump bias by Peter Strzok, a former senior member of special counsel Robert Mueller’s election probe team. Following an internal Justice Department investigation, agent Strzok was quietly reassigned from his senior post at the FBI to a human resources position in the Bureau. It’s unclear at this time whether his text messages had anything to do with his reassignment. He was exchanging messages with Lisa Page, a fellow FBI official at the time, during the 2016 election campaign, according to reports.

Some have argued that Strzok did no wrong, because he had every right to criticize and use explicit language to target then-candidate Trump in his private exchanges. Strzok and Page frequently called the president “an idiot,” or “awful,” which is 100 percent their right to do as observers of politics.

However, some of the texts hint at the possibility that Strzok may have stepped over that line, and that he moved beyond simply expressing his discontent with the Republican presidential nominee.

One particular text may be interpreted as strategizing to interfere in the electoral process — what could be understood as discussing a plan to work with FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to stop Trump from becoming president.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s (McCabe) office — that there’s no way he gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok texted Page in 2016.

Andrew McCarthy, a former federal prosecutor, remarks that the text “clearly indicates” that Strzok was “infected by political viewpoints,” describing the text as “disqualifying.”

The text’s possible reference to Andrew McCabe raises another giant red flag about Comey’s deputy.

Although McCabe’s wife was running for office with the help of Clinton allies, the FBI deputy director refused to recuse himself from the Clinton email investigation until one week before the presidential election. Judicial Watch later found out that he was using his work email account to spread the word about his wife’s political ambitions.

It’s worth recalling that the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for the research into the infamous “Trump-Russia” dossier. The FBI (under James Comey and McCabe) then reportedly paid for this information and used the mostly debunked dossier to wiretap Trump advisers.

The ongoing investigation into the 2016 election was far from a smooth-running ship prior to these latest revelations. Peter Strzok is far from the only extreme partisan on Mueller’s investigation team.
