{rickwells.us} ~ Rush Limbaugh was not impressed by the press briefing Senator Al Franken (D-MN) held to supposedly tell the people of Minnesota and America... how sorry he was over his misconduct and that he was going straight, but that “it would take time.” In essence what Franken did was declare that he was “going back to work,” which means he’s not going to resign his position as US Senator. He said he’s going to cooperate with the ethics committee, as if he had any real option given the fact that it is his only way out and not to do so would be political suicide. There’s also the consideration that it’s his buddies, who likely have similar skeletons in their closets, who will be sitting in judgment on him and potentially setting a precedent for how they or their colleagues will be treated when they are exposed...  https://rickwells.us/limbaugh-franken-telling-america/

{newsweek.com} ~ Robert Mueller, special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election... is a “gruff guy” who routinely undermined his subordinates and evaded responsibility as head of the FBI, according to several former aides and investigators who worked with Mueller interviewed by the Los Angeles Times. In a lengthy profile published on Friday, the Times  dredged up some of Mueller’s most difficult moments throughout his career as government prosecutor and as the sixth director of the FBI, a post he maintained from 2001 until 2013. Those interviewed criticized Mueller’s handling of many high-profile cases stretching back to 1979, his temperament with government witnesses, and for directing his subordinates at the FBI to shield him from criticism...  http://www.newsweek.com/robert-mueller-special-counsel-russia-aides-criticize-722670

{defenddemocracy.org} ~ The House Financial Services Committee approved last week the Strengthening Oversight of Iran’s Access to Finance Act... which codifies in law a set of conditions that the U.S. Treasury must use to evaluate licenses for the sale of commercial aircraft to Iran. The bill requires the secretary of the Treasury to report within 30 days whether transactions related to the export and re-export of aircraft to Iran pose a “significant money laundering or terrorism financing risk to the United States financial system.” The secretary must also determine whether the transactions benefit any Iranian person that has knowingly transported or otherwise supported the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction or provided material support to persons included on Treasury’s sanctions lists. If the secretary cannot certify that the transaction meets these conditions, he must explain whether the licenses authorizing the transaction will be revoked, modified, or remain valid despite the potential for illicit transactions or benefits going to sanctioned persons...  http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hit/annie-fixler-congress-supports-financial-transparency-for-iranian-transactions/

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ Israel and North Korea are on opposite sides of the Asian landmass, separated by 5,000 miles as the ICBM flies. But Israelis feels close to the nuclear standoff between Washington and Pyongyang. They have faced this sort of crisis before, and may again.

In the mid-1970s, it became clear to Israel that Iraq's Saddam Hussein was working on acquiring nuclear weapons and missiles to deliver them. Saddam had already demonstrated an uninhibited brutality in dealing with his internal enemies and his neighbors. He aspired to be the leader of the Arab world. Defeating Israel was at the top of his to-do list.

After coming to office in 1977, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin tried to convince the U.S. and Europe that Saddam was a clear and present danger to the Jewish state, and that action had to be taken. Begin was not taken seriously.

But Begin was serious, and in 1981 he decided that Israel would have to stop the Iraqi dictator all by itself. His political opponents, led by the estimable Shimon Peres, considered this to be dangerous folly. Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan, the legendary former military chief of staff, voted against unilateral action on the grounds that it would hurt Israel's international standing. Defense Minister Ezer Weizmann, the former head of the air force and Dayan's brother-in-law was also against a military option. He thought the mission would be unacceptably risky.

Begin had no military expertise. But his family had been wiped out in the Holocaust. He looked at Saddam, who was openly threating Israel, and saw Hitler. To Begin, sitting around hoping for the best was not a strategy; it was an invitation to aggression. If there was going to be a cost -- political, diplomatic, military -- better to pay before, not after, the Iraqis had the bomb.

In the summer of 1981, Begin gave the order. The Israeli air force destroyed the Osirak reactor. The United Nations Security Council condemned the attack. The Europeans went bonkers. The New York Times called it "inexcusable." But the Israeli prime minister wasn't looking to be excused by the Times or the Europeans or even the usually friendly Ronald Reagan administration. He enunciated a simple rationale that would come to be known as the Begin Doctrine: Israel will not allow its avowed enemies to obtain the means of its destruction.

The wisdom of this doctrine became clear a decade later, during the Gulf War, when Saddam made good on his threat to fire Russian-made SCUD missiles at Israeli cities. The SCUDs landed, and caused some damage and a fair amount of panic, but they were not armed with unconventional warheads. Israel had taken that option off the table.

Similarly, in 2007, Israel confirmed what it had suspected for five years: Syria, with North Korean help, was trying to build a nuclear reactor. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, a Begin disciple, sent Mossad chief Meir Dagan to Washington, to ask for American intervention. The CIA chief, Michael Hayden, agreed with Israel's contention that Damascus with Iranian financing was constructing the reactor. But Hayden convinced President George W. Bush that bombing the site would result in all-out war, and who wants that?

Acting on its own, Israel destroyed the Syrian site reportedly killing a group of North Korean experts in the process. Hayden was wrong about how Syria would react, as he later admitted. If Israel had been reasonable and listened to the CIA, Bashar al-Assad would have nuclear weapons right now.

A few years later, Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak spent billions of dollars preparing and training to take out the Iranian nuclear program. Barak, not a member of Netanyahu's right-wing Likud Party, explained, "There are instances where it appears it is not necessary to attack now, but you know that you won't be able to attack later." In such cases, he said, the "consequences of inaction are grave, and you have to act."

Israel was prevented from kinetic action by the Barack liar-nObama administration, which along with five other powers cut a deal with Iran in 2015 -- over Israel's vociferous objections. Netanyahu warned that the deal was full of loopholes; it would allow Iran to hide its nuclear program and continue building new means of delivery. This was confirmed in 2016 when Iran tested a new missile. "The reason we designed our missiles with a range of 2000 kilometers," Iranian Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said, "is to be able to hit our enemy the Zionist regime from a safe distance."

Since then, Iran has stepped up its aggressive enmity toward the Zionist Entity. It has not only continued its nuclear cooperation with North Korea, it has also copied Pyongyang's tactic of creating a huge artillery threat against civilian populations through its proxy force Hezbollah in Lebanon and now Syria. This conventional threat to Seoul is what has convinced a great many American commentators that any attack on North Korea would lead to an "unthinkable" number of casualties.

Ruling out harsh thoughts is a luxury Israel doesn't have. It has installed an efficient missile defense system something not beyond the means of the South Koreans and the U.S.. It is also training to neutralize the threat of a bombardment. The IDF is currently conducting its biggest military exercise in 19 years. The announced goal is to prepare for war with Hezbollah. Israel does not intend to allow itself to be held hostage by an Iranian threat to its civilian population nor to have its hands tied by the theory of unthinkability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem published a condemnation of North Korea: "Only a determined international response will prevent other states from behaving in the same way." Clearly, "other states" was a reference to Iran. It was also a message to the U.S.

Israel, by long experience, knows there is no such thing as an "international" community when it comes to security. What is happening now in East Asia is an American production. The Donald Trump administration has been very clear, not to say belligerent, in demanding that North Korea forgo its nuclear weapons and ambitions.

This was also the policy of previous American administrations -- but Presidents liar-Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and liar-nObama didn't really mean it. They let things slide, drew imaginary lines, held talks that went no place and hoped for the best.

The best didn't happen. It almost never does. North Korea is now truly dangerous -- unlike Iraq and Syria, it already has nuclear weapons -- and it won't get less so as time goes on. Trump has said this in no uncertain terms. But so far it is just words. The president may mean it. He also may not. Perhaps he will come to regret tangling with Kim. Maybe he will see it as a beginner's mistake. He may be tempted to reverse course and try to save face with make-believe sanctions, empty United Nations resolutions or fruitless negotiations. I'm not judging him. I haven't been in his shoes, and I wouldn't want to be.

But if the American president does back down -- if Kim Jong Un stays in power, keeps his nuclear warheads and ballistic weapons, and gets away with threatening the U.S. and its allies with nuclear destruction -- every friend and foe of Washington will be revisiting its strategic playbook. For Israel, so far away from Korea yet so close to Iranian aggression, that book begins with the Begin Doctrine.

Yale Claims 'Cure' for Conservatism

by Political Editors:  Pseudo-scientists at Yale University claim to have figured out how to change a conservative’s political views via “an intense imagination exercise.” The basic gist of the “study” suggests that conservatives are more aware of and concerned with physical threats than are leftists. Participants were asked their political opinions and then asked to close their eyes and deeply image one of two scenarios. Half of the individuals were asked to imagine that a genie granted them the power of flight, the other half were to imagine that they were absolutely invulnerable to any physical harm. According to the study, those who imagined they could fly changed very little in their political views, while those who imagined they were invulnerable to physical harm were said to have become indistinguishable from Democrats in their views.

The eggheads at Yale went on to extrapolate that the reason for this change was that people who feel “unsafe” are more apt to adopt conservative political perspectives. You know, those who don’t buy the “just trust me” trope. While it would be amazing to actually be Superman, the reality is that humans are mortal, and furthermore, history and life experience are replete with examples of why we should be wary about blindly trusting people.
But another obvious point emerges here that was seemingly missed by these “academics.” Jazz Shaw of Hot Air puts it well, stating, “Putting unrelated information into the minds of survey participants prior to asking questions has a different name in political circles. It’s known as a push poll. Rather than getting an accurate impression of a person’s opinions, you’re poisoning the well in advance to sway their feelings. It’s also little more than a temporary effect. … I would suggest assembling a similar group of test subjects and showing them all a picture of Kate Steinle, followed by some grisly scenes of the handiwork of MS-13. Then ask them all about their feelings on immigration issues being sure to include the word ‘illegal’… Who knows? You might even cure some liberals for a little while.
In the end, the real pathology can be found on the Left.  ~The Patriot Post

{lidblog.com} ~ The radical Islamist terrorists trying to destroy the west have their roots are in Wahhabism, a form of Islam initially practiced in Saudi Arabia and spread across the world by the Saudi royal family. But on Saturday, November 25, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman addressed the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Ministers of Defense Council with a speech that said in part:

“The biggest threat from terrorism and extremism is not only killing innocent people and spreading hate but tarnishing the reputation of our religion and distorting our belief.”

But does he really mean it? After all, Wahhabi Islam is a huge part of Saudi society and according to many, the mother of the terrorism of which the Prince spoke, In July 2013, Wahhabism was identified by the EU Parliament as the main source of global terrorism.

Wahhabism is an ultra-conservative form of Sunni Islam created by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab in the 18th century. Its original purpose was to stop the Sunni practice at the time of honoring Muslim saints and visiting their tombs and shrines.  Al-Wahhab called that practiced idolatry. The early days of Wahhabism included the slaughter of Muslim tribes who didn’t agree with their theology just as ISIS does today, a most famous example was the Wahhabi sack of Karbala.

As with other radical forms of the faith promoted by terrorist groups such as the Hamas and ISIS, Wahhabism promotes the fusion of “church and state” via the reestablishment of the Muslim Caliphate. Wahhabism also promotes the Sunni/Shia divide per their belief that there is only one correct way to practice Islam.

Wahhabism has been allied with the house of Saud from its very beginnings. In 1744, the Emir of Ad-Diriyyah Muhammad ibn Saud, and  the founder of the Saudi dynasty cut a deal with Wahhabi founder Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab The pact was described by British Historian Robert Lacey:

“Ibn Saud would protect and propagate the stern doctrines of the Wahhabi mission, which made the Koran the basis of government. In return, Abdul Wahhab would support the ruler, supplying him with ‘glory and power.’ Whoever championed his message, he promised, ‘will, by means of it, rule and lands and men.’”

This religious/political alliance helped to create the modern Saudi Kingdom via conquest in the first three decades of the 20th century. Ikhwan, a tribal army inspired by Wahhabism fought alongside the House of Saud to unify the country. Eventually, the Ikhwan grew too powerful had to be put down by the Saudi Army.

In the 1970s worried about the Shia-Islam Iranian revolution created when U.S. President Jimmy Carter forced the Shah to abdicate, Saudi Arabia began to promote Wahhabism across the world. As recently explained in “The New Statesman”

“The Saudi-based Muslim World League opened offices in every region inhabited by Muslims, and the Saudi ministry of religion printed and distributed Wahhabi translations of the Quran, Wahhabi doctrinal texts and the writings of modern thinkers whom the Saudis found congenial (…)  to Muslim communities throughout the Middle East, Africa, Indonesia, the United States and Europe. In all these places, they funded the building of Saudi-style mosques with Wahhabi preachers and established madrasas that provided free education for the poor, with, of course, a Wahhabi curriculum.”

Muslim men who went to Saudi Arabia to find work and support their families brought Wahhabism home with them. And when they returned they sought out Saudi mosques and schools for their young.

“The Saudis demanded religious conformity in return for their munificence, so Wahhabi rejection of all other forms of Islam as well as other faiths would reach as deeply into Bradford, England, and Buffalo, New York, as into Pakistan, Jordan or Syria: everywhere gravely undermining Islam’s traditional pluralism.”

According to a 2013 EU report, along with spreading their radical form of Islam, these Saudi/Wahhabi charities also provided funding to groups such as Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Haqqani network and other radical groups.  Usama Bin Laden who grew up in Saudi Arabia practiced and promoted a form of Wahhabism.

ISIS was created on Wahhabi principals:

“Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, the first “prince of the faithful” in the Islamic State of Iraq, in 2006 formulated, for instance, the principles of his prospective state … Among its goals is disseminating monotheism “which is the purpose [for which humans were created] and [for which purpose they must be called] to Islam…” This language replicates exactly Abd-al Wahhab’s formulation. And, not surprisingly, the latter’s writings and Wahhabi commentaries on his works are widely distributed in the areas under ISIS’ control and are made the subject of study sessions.”

When ISIS made overthrowing the Saudi monarchy as a goal, the Saudi’s began to see the connection between Wahhabism and terrorism and started moving away from their 270-year alliance with Wahhabism.

In 2014, Reuters reported that then King Abdullah pressured the senior clergy in Saudi Arabia to denounce terrorist doctrines promoted by the likes of al Qaeda or ISIS, and they started vetting the kingdom’s 70,000 mosques, firing the clerics who promote terrorism.

A May 2017 visit by President Trump elicited a Saudi promise to fight terrorism. Promises, however, especially when made by heads of state are often empty. That is why it was such a surprise when the Crown Prince of the nation that helped launch and spread Wahhabi Islam, the mother of Islamist terrorism made such a strong anti-terrorism message six-months after the visit by the American President.

In his keynote address to the meeting held in the Saudi capital, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who is in the middle of cleaning out the “old guard” of Saudi royals declared that terrorism had to end:

“The biggest danger of this terrorism and extremism is the tarnishing of the reputation of our beloved religion. … We will not allow this to happen,” said the crown prince. “Today we start the pursuit of terrorism and we see its defeat in many facets around, the world especially in Muslim countries. … We will continue to fight it until we see its defeat.”

“In past years, terrorism has been functioning in all of our countries… with no coordination” among them, he said in his keynote speech. “This ends today, with this alliance.”

The crown prince said the 40 countries were sending a “clear signal” that they would “work together to support the military, financial, intelligence and political efforts of every member state.”

He condemned the ISIS attack on an Egyptian mosque that killed more than 300 worshippers and said it would galvanize the Islamic military coalition.
“(The attack on a mosque in Egypt) was a very painful occurrence and must make us contemplate in an international and powerful way the role of this terrorism and extremism,” the Crown Prince said.

And then the “money” statement,

“The biggest threat from terrorism and extremism is not only killing innocent people and spreading hate, but tarnishing the reputation of our religion and distorting our belief.”

That statement is a recognition of what many have been saying for years, much of the terrorism the world is fighting today comes from the Muslim world, and non-terrorists, the majority of people who practice Islam need to eradicate terrorism from their midst.

If the words of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are followed actions from Saudi Arabia, the country that helped to birth Islamist terrorism, and spread the theology through the world. The Saudis may also be known as the country that put the scourge of terrorism to death.

{rickwells.us} ~ The sanctuary state of California is now moving to silence those who challenge their criminal actions through the blatant abuse of their power... declaring incidents to have happened which did not and exceeding reasonable use of authority through by ordering their police departments to act as political thugs. As the video  shows you don’t have to be an American to serve on the Huntington Park City Council nor to influence decisions or testify in their meetings. Non-English speakers, most of whom are likely illegal aliens, are allowed to address the council in Spanish. It’s Latino first, America second as LaRaza and their ilk continue their push to takeover California. However, if you’re an American patriot, as Arthur Schaper is, you’re not only not allowed to speak, you’re ushered out of the room through the abusive collaboration of the mayor and the police chief. Pro-American views and policies have no place in Huntington Park or much of California... https://rickwells.us/sanctuary-city-patriot-removed/

dailycaller.com} ~ An liar-nObama-era official sued President Donald Trump and White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney late Sunday...to secure control of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), claiming she is the lawful interim successor to former CFPB Director Richard Cordray.  Cordray’s resignation last week prompted a crisis at the CFPB, which in short order evolved into a proxy conflict over the power of the administrative state, the sprawling network of agencies that enforce federal laws and promulgate their own regulations. The law which charted the CFPB — the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act — contains a succession provision allowing the agency’s deputy director to assume the directorship if the post is vacant. Cordray designated Deputy Director Leandra English as his interim successor before resigning, citing that provision of federal law. The Trump administration countered that the president has power to name an acting director under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act (FVRA), and tapped Mulvaney to lead the agency until a permanent director is confirmed...  http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/26/obama-era-official-sues-trump-for-control-of-powerful-agency/?utm_medium=email

{dailycaller.com} ~ An eco-terrorist responsible for sabotaging an oil pipeline in North Dakota suggested Saturday... that shutting down the multi-billion dollar line was necessary to defuse the ticking time bomb of man-made global warming. Temporarily taking offline a pair of pipelines in Minnesota earlier this year was part of an effort to save the world from fossil fuels, Seattle activist and poet Emily Johnston wrote in an editorial for The Guardian. A judge is allowing her to use a “necessity defense” to justify her actions last year against the Enbridge pipeline. “As recent months have made clear, climate change is not only an imminent threat; it is an existing catastrophe. It’s going to get worse, and tar sands oil—the dirtiest oil on Earth—is one of the reasons,” Johnston wrote, referring to a spate of hurricanes that clobbered the U.S. earlier this summer...  http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/26/eco-terrorist-explains-why-she-tried-to-kill-an-oil-pipeline-her-defense-is-disturbing/?utm_medium=email

Billionaire Bezos' Amazon/Washington Post/CIA Alliance
1hJQV6_haEWa8wJ6BWWW9bNcLhQlXb7MdwPEI8BcrxuAhK7zFUpPom5u0H2tYM01zIRioinO65jrLpCp2uQDUH4GDuNvoVuCn4z3TTOv3LaHGksihg8gJU9ai2EkOOA=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Arnold Ahlert:  Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world, with a fortune now topping $100 billion, generated primarily by the astounding success of Amazon. Since 2013, he is also owner of The Washington Post, one of the most transparently anti-Trump newspapers in the nation. Bezos, Amazon and the Post are entitled to take whatever political positions they want. But Bezos’ relationship with the CIA is extremely troubling.

It’s no secret The Washington Post has force-fed America the idea that Donald Trump’s victory was the result of “collusion” between members of his campaign and the Russians, with the implication that Trump himself was involved. Consider the source, but columnist Glen Greenwald  eviscerate done of its many stories on the subject, calling it “classic American journalism of the worst sort,” explaining that its “key claims are based exclusively on the unverified assertions of anonymous officials, who in turn are disseminating their own claims about what the CIA purportedly believes, all based on evidence that remains completely secret.
That story — and the complete lack of journalistic integrity it demonstrated — was hardly an outlier. The Post published another piece so egregiously sloppy, Rolling Stone’s Matt Taibbi characterized it as an “astonishingly lazy report” that has “no analog that I can think of in modern times.” (Coming from Rolling Stone, that’s saying something.) It was about 200 websites the Post labeled as “routine peddlers of Russian propaganda.” Despite Post columnist Craig Timberg’s assertion there were independent teams of researchers making the claims, Taibbi reveals the meat of the report relied on an organization known as PropOrNot, which he describes as a group that offered “zero concrete evidence of coordination with Russian intelligence agencies.
Zero critical skills have also been a staple at the paper. Post writer Adam Entous attempted to turn a joke made by House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) — “I think Putin pays Trump” — into another piece about Russian collusion. The Post also ran a discredited piece insisting Assistant U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein threatened to resign. It was a lie about James Comey being fired after requesting more funds for investigations, and it was soon debunked by then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe. Then there was yet another deliberately misleading story about Trump “leaking” classified intel to the Russians — before the Post revealed that every president “has broad authority to declassify government secrets, making it unlikely that his disclosures broke the law” … in paragraph seven.
Post reporter Josh Rogin is in a class by himself. As The Daily Wire revealed last February, Rogin managed to get three major stories wrong in the space of only 10 days, two of which falsely perpetrated the Trump administration “chaos” narrative.
And last Friday it was revealed that ostensibly objective Post reporter Janell Ross joined George Soros and other Democrat donors at a secret meeting of the Democracy Alliance, where she gave a presentation to an organization that calls itself “the largest network of donors dedicated to building the progressive movement in the United States.” Ross attended “without notifying her superiors,” The Washington Free Beacon reported.
Whether Bezos merely abides these machinations or actively encourages his newspaper’s efforts to delegitimize Trump’s presidency is impossible to know.
What is possible to know is that in 2013, Bezos secured a $600 million deal with the CIA — more than twice what he paid for the Post itself that same year — to provide the agency with cloud services. Last Monday, the Post itself acknowledged that reality, revealing the service will be called Amazon Web Services Secret Region. In a statement posted by Amazon Web Services, CIA chief information officer John Edwards noted the development would be “a key component of the intel community’s multi-fabric cloud strategy.
When it was initially announced, Post critics rightfully referred to this arrangement as a serious conflict of interest that should be disclosed to readers every time the Post is reporting on the intelligence community in any capacity. A petition was circulated by the RootsAction website stating any coverage of the CIA “should include full disclosure that the owner of the Washington Post is also the main owner of Amazon — and Amazon is now gaining huge profits directly from the CIA.
RootAction co-founder Norman Solomon further explained why such a disclosure is critically important. “We should keep in mind that hundreds of newspapers around the country routinely publish articles from the Washington Post, and those articles are also widely read online,” he stated at the time. “Most days, millions of people are reading Post stories about CIA activities that do not mention that the Post’s sole owner is in a business relationship with the CIA via his company Amazon.
As Greenwald reminds us above, that’s still the case. And while there’s a law that makes it a felony to leak classified information, it applies only to the leakers themselves. With rare exceptions, two different Supreme Court decisions have established the press’s right to publish such ill-gotten gains. That the same agency supplying the Post with illegal intel has a business relationship with its owner should trouble every American.
So should the paper’s attempt to manipulate an election. “The problem with the Washington Post’s scandal story about Judge Roy Moore, the Republican candidate for the Alabama Senate seat once held by now Attorney General Jeff Sessions, is that the Washington Post has become one giant editorial page, with no credibility on factual matters because it is so frenetically anti-Trump,” writes Washington Examiner columnist Daniel Oliver.
Moore’s denials are suspect, but so is the Post’s timing. The paper is certainly entitled to publish 38-year-old allegations, but it’s up to the public to determine whether they are true, or whether they are part of a grand strategy to make “guilty until proven innocent” the defining factor in political races, especially when those races accrue to Democrat interests. And that public must do so amid further efforts by the Post to conflate any support for Moore with immorality, despite his pro-abortion opponent, a binary choice election that may determine Senate control, and a Congress that created a secret slush fund to protect its own sexual predators.
In a shareholder conference last May, Bezos insisted Amazon will “not oppose or favor any presidential candidate or elected official, that’s not our job.” Instead, he said, “The right thing for us is to take a very measured issue-by-issue approach.” Yet one of those “measured approaches” was opposing Trump’s travel ban from terrorist-harboring countries — a stance “coincidentally” reinforced by a plethora of stories in The Washington Post.
Moreover, as Bezos’ empire expands, using what amounts to predatory pricing to drive competitors out of business, so do his powers of customer “persuasion” epitomized by Bezos’ assertion that his goal is to make people feel that if they fail to become an Amazon Prime member, they “are being irresponsible.
Customers that now include the CIA. Thus Bezos wields enormous power, whether his vehicle for its dissemination is world’s largest retailer, or a newspaper whose stories are taken as gospel by media outlets throughout the nation. That he also maintains a substantial relationship with the CIA makes an utter mockery of the media’s traditional role as government watchdog.
A 2013 biography of Bezos was entitled “The Everything Store.” Americans might be forgiven for wondering when “everything” ultimately includes an unprecedented amount of political power in the hands of a single individual — aided and abetted by the intel community.  ~The Patriot Pos

Sweden: Nobody helped woman raped by 20 Muslim migrants — neighbors have “learned not to see or hear too much”

( Musli ms do not assimilate! They infiltrate! )

A rape case so brutal that even Swedish main stream media is reporting about it shows signs of total collapse of moral and culture in Swedish society.

10News Update

“Eeew, you have sperm on your face and on your clothes, don’t involve us,” they said to the woman. She had just endured a gang rape and abuse by up to twenty perpetrators in a stairwell in Fittja, but nobody in the southern Stockholm suburb wanted to help the victim, Metro reports.

More details are now being published about the high profile case in Fittja, which took place in a stairwell in August 2016. The woman was gang-raped and also beaten up by up to twenty perpetrators. The woman was kicked, beaten, threatened with a knife and her head was knocked against the floor until she went unconscious.

A neighbor who witnessed the brutal attack chose to ignore the it. He later stated to the police that he has “learned not to see or hear too much.” The man has lived for 15 years in Fittja, a Muslim-dominated area.

Seeking help after the rape, the woman rang the doorbell of one apartment to ask for assistance to call the police. But the man who opened the door ignored her appeal and turned the bloody victim soaked in the rapists’ bodily fluids away.

The woman then managed to get to the Fittja city center to seek help but there she was told she was “disgusting.” Nobody wanted to help her. “A guy told her she was disgusting and she had sperm in her hair,” reads the police report. She also tried to get help from a guard at the train station, but also he didn’t care about the woman’s situation.

Instead, the woman was forced to take the subway to central Stockholm in order to seek help. Several men are now charged with the crime. According to the prosecution, they also filmed the rape and laughed during their sexual abuse.

All of the rapists are reported to have “migrant background,” the Swedish media’s expression for Muslim migrants.

Being hypocritically accused
NOTEWhen writing about God and Jesus, The Daily Jot means YHVH as God and Yeshua Ha Mashiach as Jesus--the actual original names and the true nature and character of them.

Tuesday, November 28, 2017
Sexual harassment is the new Russia. Everywhere you look, there are stories about sexual harassment. Congress and Hollywood both expect more women to come forward. And in most cases, just like the accusations about Russia, the accuser is the one who is doing the deed. Think about it. Hillary Clinton was the most vocal about the current president doing underhanded deals with Russia. So far, nothing has been revealed about President Trump's dealings with Russia, but a lot has been revealed about Clinton's pay for influence deals with Russia. Clinton and her ilk were also most vocal about women's rights, yet they are now on the defensive about sexual assault--Hypocritical accusers, all.

Strangely enough, the liberals, the ones who speak the loudest against the misogyny and chauvinism of the conservative, are among the most egregious violators of women's rights-the men being accused of sexual harassment by dozens upon dozens of women. And the female protectors of women's rights, such as Nancy Pelosi has accused the women of of purposely victimizing Democratic male officeholders for their alleged sexual assaults and harassments. Hillary Clinton has done the same for decades-just ask the 18 or so women who were victims of her husband's inappropriate sexual exploits, or the victims of Anthony Weiner, Clinton aide Huma Abedin's estranged husband.

Liberals often are the quickest to judge their political opposition for even the slightest accusation. In reality, however, it is often the accuser who is committing worse than the accused. It's really called bearing false witness as well as judging others. Of course, many would give them a pass because they are not practicing Christians or Jews. Notwithstanding, we have seen Hillary Clinton toting a Bible when it is advantageous. Nancy Pelosi has often claimed to be following the Catholic doctrine-yet she promotes abortion and defends men in the Democratic Party accused of sexual harassment. In their eyes Republican candidate Roy Moore, now accused of something that allegedly happened 40 years ago, is guilty.

A lot is written in the Bible about false accusations and judging others hypocritically. Certainly, believers are held to a higher standard, but nonbelievers are not without accountability. In Romans 1, Paul writes about those who profess themselves wise, and change the glory of the "uncorruptible God" into an image made like to corruptible man. Paul lists the characteristics of these people-both male and female-and says they are without excuse. Verse 32 says, "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 2:3 continues: "And think you this, O man, that judges them which do such things, and does the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God?" Surely these will have their reward.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

SHOCK POLL: The Latest Roy Moore Numbers Are In! The Floor Just Dropped OUT On…

3.9k
SHARES

The race for an Alabama Senate seat has captured the national stage. That was due, at first, to the strong support conservative judge Roy Moore enjoyed among voters and President Donald Trump.

But when word broke that Moore was being accused of sexual misconduct towards minors, things got dicey. Accusers claimed that the judge behaved inappropriately toward them years ago, when they were teens.

It was a clear attack by the left to destroy the judge’s chances. But it looks like the case against him is falling apart and Moore’s back on top.

From The Gateway Pundit:

Judge Roy Moore is once again leading ultra-liberal Democrat Doug Jones in the PredictIt Market…
Before the Washington Post story broke last week, Roy Moore was almost a lock to win at 89 percent in PredictIt’s Alabama Senate race prediction market.

After the allegations surfaced, Moore’s odds dropped to 59 percent that day. He remained a slight favorite over Doug Jones, who also saw a significant bump on the news, until Monday when a fifth woman came forward with allegations against Moore.

As of Monday afternoon, for the first time in the race, PredictIt traders had Doug Jones in the lead at 47 percent to Moore’s 38 percent. Moore has since regained some ground though he still trails in the prediction market.

But as of Saturday afternoon Conservative Republican Roy Moore is back up on top of Doug Jones in the Alabama race.

Moore now leads in the PredictIt market 52 to 49…

It didn’t help Owens when the main accuser’s story fell apart and her attorney refuses to turn over a forged yearbook to neutral authorities for analysis.

There were red flags coming from these allegations from the start. The fact they came out just a month before the election made many believe they were politically motivated.

Moore enjoyed a massive led over his uber-liberal rival. The left had to pull out all the stops, even blatantly lie, to get a slight edge.

But it seems like the case against him has enough holes to warrant skepticism. Add to that the long reputation he’s had in Alabama as a strong, uncompromising leader. The people of Alabama trust him, despite the allegations.

And now he just saw a massive 14 point swing.
It’s probably only the beginning as the allegations crumble and Democrat/media scandals such as Al Franken and Charlie Rose take center stage.

Then there’s the fact that his rival, Doug Jones, is a super liberal democrat who supports full-term abortions. That’s not something conservative Americans in the South can stomach.

It remains to be seen, though, what will happen. The election is still weeks away. We will continue to watch it.

(My 2016 Presidential Election Forecast Map based on polling data adjusted for guestimated polling source bias.)

by Randall Nozick

(This article is an excerpt from a Facebook post. If you missed it, you should start reading from the beginning with Part 1 – I Dare You to Try to Understand to get the full meaning of the post.)

Part 10 – Perhaps the Biggest Tool in the Box

I hope at this point, I have not alienated anyone, but now I have to talk about the single biggest no-win political situation plaguing us today. It’s a horrible topic and my position on it, indeed anyone’s position on it, can be nothing less than horrible since you can’t make a cupcake out of a lump of excrement. It’s time to talk about politicized abortion. Please note, I said POLITICIZED abortion. I am not going to approach the moral or ethical topic of abortion itself because it is unapproachable. There is a sharp, passionate divide between those who believe it is murder and those who believe it is a woman’s right over her own body.

Get your FREE Hat NOW

But consider this: The people who disagree with you on this topic are your fellow citizens. At the national level, the division is split right down the middle. That is a sure fire way to identify an issue which can not be debated on a national level. The politicians KNOW THIS. Why do you think they keep bringing it up? It’s a golden topic for a red herring whenever they need it. Did Hillary fund ISIS (who kills and rapes women and children)? I don’t know, but she’s completely 100% pro choice all the way with no limits. I guarantee you, lots of pro choice people voted for Trump in this election because the old scam fell flat on ears burning for other answers.

Trump, who used to be known as “pro choice” came out in the debate as “pro life”, kinda sorta. He didn’t bring it up, someone else did, just like always. His stance “horrified” many, but he didn’t explain it very well. He said “the states should decide”. And indeed they should. Or maybe counties should decide or even individual cities. However small the jurisdiction must be for a stance to be in a majority is where the issue belongs. For the pro life people, if you don’t like abortion, don’t have one. That’s really easy. For the pro choice people, if you feel you must have an abortion, go somewhere that believes it’s okay for you to have one.

Give the Gift of TRUMP

Trump completely, and with obvious success, side-stepped the issue, even though he fumbled with the wording. It should simply not be a national issue because it can not be cleanly declared the will of the majority either way. As long as this issue continues to arise in national political battles, it will continue to be used to hide actionable issues from discussion. CUT THE LEASH. Stop letting them do it. If you want the 80/80 to have what most of us want, you have to be willing to let things work out differently than your imagined best case scenario. I know it’s a struggle to get there, but the logic is unbreakable.

(Please stay tuned for the next part. It’s a long story, so I broke it down into life-sized bites.)

Part 11 – THE VICTORY LAP

In closing, I would like to charge each and every Trump voter to join me in a somewhat difficult task. I am proud to have been part of this grassroots effort to rip the political elite from power, but I refuse to take a victory lap in a gloating or demeaning way. I also refuse to take it alone. I will not celebrate what I consider a great victory for my country unless I can find someone from “the other side” to go with me. I don’t want to celebrate a personal victory. I want to celebrate a victory for America against the entire corrupt political establishment.

Get Your FREE Hat Now

I want those who are literally afraid of Trump to see it can be a victory for them too. As I said, they have things to be happy about. They have a Democrat President-Elect. They have witnessed the end of the RNC with all of its hateful dividing tactics. But they also have the same opportunity I have now. They have to opportunity to get outside the political elites’ plan for America. It is a plan that amounts to pure slavery for all Americans and many of their Democrat peers saw that plan clearly enough to vote against it. If we don’t get behind this opportunity TOGETHER, we waste it. Isn’t it better to try than to give up? After this election, I think we can all agree things can’t continue the way they are.

I pledge allegiance to YOU, my fellow American. I will be working to make our country great, hopefully with you at my side.

— End Quoted Facebook Post

My Life as a Racist Sexist Bigot Homophobe

When I read this a year later, here’s what came to mind. No matter how many times someone profiles me for supporting Trump, I’m still not a Racist Sexist Bigot Homophobe. Being discriminated against in this whole new way is annoying, but very survivable. It was well worth the year of true progress we have experienced.

Give the Gift of TRUMP

Although there is plenty of news on both sides claiming the world is ending, daily life here in the United States with President Trump has been an ever-improving experience. The bad guys are still out there, very anxious to scare the cognitive process right out of all of us, but setting them aside for a moment, what is the reality of our daily lives? No one from either side is in a concentration camp. Our human rights are right where they were a year ago. There is more money circulating in every economic segment and its value is still there. Many more people have jobs and most people are living better. The Rule of Law is slowly but surely making its way back to protecting us from corrupt politicians and pedophiles alike. Our American prosperity is being protected.

Now if we could just stop the hating and seize the opportunity, we could make things even better. If the fake news is going to be left in charge of shaping the People’s feelings about their daily lives, they’ll do it in the way that makes them the most money. It is up to We the People to reach out to our fellow Americans and help them not only take advantage of the improvements that are being hidden from them by the bullhorns of the political herd-masters, but to get them to rejoin us in the common ground of our mutual prosperity. We, as individuals, must work to focus on the 80% of things 80% of us want. To do this, we must accept, and help others accept, the futility of having our attention captured by the 20% of things only 20% of us want. It is certain that 100% of us give up something if all the things we have are had only as permitted by law.

We must reject the urge to outlaw the things that are not right for us as individuals, reject the urge to have our desires written into law, and especially reject the urge to be a winner in a battle over it, because that is the leash the political elite hold most comfortably. We have to reject these things because we are a self-governing people. If we want to stay that way, we must always hold more power to choose for ourselves than we grant to the laws which constrain us all.

Beyond that, we must all acknowledge the recent years’ clear demonstration of a solidly proven reality of government: “Government is where the best hopes of the people go to die at the hands of a government employee.” Getting people to stand on that truism might just be the way forward, together.

(Thank you so much for reading. We did the 11 part mini-series as an experiment. Please tell us what you thought of breaking up a long article this way in the comments. We want our posts to be enjoyed in the best way possible and your opinion counts!)

by Jordan Candler:  CNN has secured a number of self-inflicted pejoratives. For example, it’s not uncommon to hear it referred to as the Communist News Network. Well, here’s another one: Censorship News Network. Recall that the allegations against Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore blew up faster than a grandiose Independence Day fireworks show in Boston. Unbeknownst to many of the network’s followers, however, are the trove of recent salacious accusations against Democrats, whose systemically bad behavior CNN ignores.

The Daily Wire chronicles two dozen new allegations CNN opted to ignore, beginning with a Nov. 20 report in which four women allege that liar-Bill Clinton assaulted them during his post-White House days. Lawsuits are reportedly in the works. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Other cases implicate former Rep. Bob Filner, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, California Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra, New Mexico congressional candidate David Alcon, Colorado state Rep. Steve Lebsock, Colorado House Speaker Crisanta Duran, Minnesota state Sen. Dan Schoen, California state Sen. Tony Mendoza, California state senate Democrat leader Kevin de León, Radnor Township Board of Commissioners president Philip Ahr, Georgia state Rep. Calvin Smyre, Florida Democrat Party president Sally Boynton Brown, New Mexico state Sen. Michael Padilla, Colorado state Rep. Paul Rosenthal, Illinois state Sen. Ira Silverstein, Missouri state Rep. Josh Peters, Nevada state Sen. Mark Manendo, Oklahoma state Rep. Will Fourkiller, Oregon state Rep. David Gomberg, former Washington state Rep. Brendan Williams, Connecticut councilman Scott Chamberlain, Florida state Sen. Jeff Clemens and Ohio Supreme Court Justice William O'Neill.
Every one of these names represents the Democrat Party. And every single one of these names the Demo/MSM seeks desperately not to acknowledge. The Leftmedia is covering the allegations against Democrats Sen. Al Franken and Rep. John Conyers, but only because they have no choice. Their stature renders it unavoidable. With these other names, their mostly non-national, lower profile offers an escape route. But just remember: Networks like CNN that choose to avoid these scandals while obsessing over Republican misdeeds — which exist but in smaller quantities — only prove that their goal is based on a political agenda, not fostering a truly bipartisan, sexual abuse-free environment for women.  ~The Patriot Pos

The plans are already in place, and the buses will be rolling this week. They’ll be loaded up with illegals and their enablers, foreigners who demand they be made US citizens. They’ll meet up in DC and elsewhere, accompanied by some of their treasonous enablers in Congress and their plenty of representation by their special interest agitator groups and media propagandists. The plans include rallies in front of the White House, sit-ins on Capitol Hill and other disruptions all presented by the media as legitimate efforts to right a wrong committed by the “evil nativists” against the helpless victims of the state, who were blameless in coming here along with their criminal parents... https://rickwells.us/open-border-agitators-business-dc/

HAVE SODOM AND GOMORRAH BEEN FOUND?

{wnd.com} ~ Is the Bible’s account of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah just a myth?...
Not likely, says an archaeologist who believes, following 12 years of sifting sand near the Dead Sea in Jordan, that he has found the ruins of the largest twin cities in the area, one that fits all the criteria of the Bible account. Steven Collins, a professor of biblical studies and apologetics at Trinity Southwest University, says a “monstrous” site in Tall el-Hammam in the southern Jordan Valley, which lies eight miles northeast of the Dead Sea, perfectly matches the biblical descriptions of the “city of sin,” destroyed in a day by fire and brimstone...

{dailywire.com} ~ Actress Susan Sarandon says she's become incredibly unpopular, but she's not blaming conservatives... who have in the past spoken out against her visible far-left politics — she's blaming liberals. The 71-year-old actress told the Guardian on Sunday that she's suffering a wave of attacks because during the 2016 presidential election she chose not to back liar-Hillary Clinton and instead backed the third party candidate, Jill Stein. "I’m not attacked from the right at all,” Sarandon told the U.K.'s left-leaning publication. Instead, she says, "she is accused of not checking her white privilege, of throwing away her vote on a third-party candidate during the U.S. presidential election, and of recklessly espousing a political cause that let Trump in through the backdoor."... http://www.dailywire.com/news/23958/actress-susan-sarandon-feminism-warped-hillary-was-emily-zanotti

Hedonism's Predictable Horrors

Presenting in various forms — harassment, groping, fondling, intimidation and rape — these inappropriate behaviors are in the public view because individuals on both sides of the political aisle and within the media/entertainment industry are standing accused as pedophiles, rapists, perverts and power-hungry sex addicts.

The unending disgust is justified. None of these alleged behaviors, if true, is ever right or appropriate, though there is a vast distinction lost to conflation. The #MeToo hashtag activism railing against predators and predatory behavior soars to new heights of moral supremacy, while accomplishing nothing.
But how exactly did the American culture arrive at such a moment? How did our mores slide from viewing pornography in private to living it out in the public square as daily fare?
Those who blame Donald Trump are laughingly ignorant and live blissfully under the banner of victimhood, finding a target of hatred and blame for their own missteps and grievances. Those who blame a prominent institution of our society such as the media or education get a bit closer to touching part of the answer. The aforementioned institutions have been and are tools that have chipped away at our standards and norms to yield such cultural and moral decay.
At the center of today’s outbreak of sexual deviancy lies several factors, among which are two that we’ll approach broadly: hedonism and modern liberalism.
According to Stanford’s Encyclopedia of Philosophy, hedonism is a philosophy, whether taught or simply pursued out of human satisfaction, that’s been argued back to Plato and Aristotle. It’s founded on the premise that humankind is motivated by either pleasure or pain, with the former being understood in terms of pleasant feelings, experiences, delight, gratification and emotions of the like. Restraints to the pure elation sought at all costs of human behavior, consequences to others and even criminality have been the observances and practices of religion, a common morality and the respect of the law.
Those who observe hedonism, whether deliberately or not, possess a few common characteristics of self-indulgences, addictions, excesses, unbridled pursuit of individual satisfaction and the exploitation of others for an end goal. Clearly, the sexual deviants under public scrutiny manifest these characteristics.
But, hey, back in the 1960s, the revolution of the individual — the root of hedonism — and the elevation of a clash of culture against accepted norms heralded self-indulgence, addictions, excess and the “freedom” to do with one’s body as one chose. This birthed a new type of liberalism. Modern liberalism targets an individual’s pleasures and desire for “freedoms.” The Left redefined the “empowered” woman to be one whose anatomy is her own to display, exploit, prostitute, sexualize, objectify, etc., even extending to terminating the life of her unborn child in the name of “choice.” Pleasure without consequence.
These two darlings of deviancy are raging at the core of our cultural war today. Hedonism spans the ages because it’s a doctrine based on the human tendency to satisfy versus experience pain and discomfort. Liberalism, however, has been hijacked by radicals to weaponize egalitarianism and individualism. Thus they inflict societal and individual self-harm under the wrongheaded belief that any standards are to be treated as bigoted judgments instead of logic based on objective reasoning and discernment.
Let’s take these two approaches — hedonism and modern liberalism — and see how today’s “sudden” rash of sexual scandals has been a predictable outcome.
In 1996, Judge Robert Bork wrote a prescient book, Slouching Towards Gomorrah, which greatly expanded the notion of “defining deviancy down” and fingered radical egalitarianism and radical individualism as the responsible culprits in our cultural decay. Bork cited Emile Durkheim, a founder of sociology, who observed a limit ultimately reached by a society of deviant behavior that recalibrates norms. Specifically, as collective behavior coarsens, and deviant behavior prevails, the community will adjust its standards to define deviancy down related to drug use, illegitimacy, promiscuity, and the like, and begin to normalize wrong conduct — even crime.
So, our natural bent to pursue pleasure has been combined with political indoctrination to create today’s cultural cesspool. There’s no shock — it just took time for the mixture to prove its putrid toxicity.
Take pornography. In its original definition, pornography was the visual consumption of material that prostituted an individual’s physical essence for the sexual pleasure of voyeurs. Today, that which was deemed to be pornography just two decades ago is now disguised as various television series and watched by millions.
Remember, applying the philosophy of hedonism, pornography then and now is meant to achieve pleasure. Coupled with modern day liberalism, an individual’s anatomy is theirs to exploit as a government-sanctioned right to empower self. Yet when that which previously restrained hedonism — the ideas of moral limitation, respect of the law and even the application of religion that one’s body is a uniquely created, precious vessel fashioned in the likeness of one’s Creator — has been politically and publicly disdained, we’re supposed to feign shock that sexual squalor in the workplace, in our media, in our entertainment and in our politics is normal.
There was a day when pornography was “look, don’t touch.” In 2017, the predictable horrors of hedonism are rampant and being fanned by liberalism’s indoctrination. So, today pornography is occurring in real time as daily life in the halls of Congress, in the studios of Hollywood, in the newsrooms of major broadcast news organizations and throughout our society.
So, when will society see the value of the boundaries provided through the respect of law and religion? When will society wake up and reject the almost mythical mess created through the follies of modern liberalism?  .

MAKING THE CASE FOR ROY MOORE
by Burt Prelutsky

I value good character, but not all that much when it comes to politics. I’m not saying I accept that all the allegations against Roy Moore are true, but I’d be naïve to believe they’ve all been concocted out of whole cloth.

Still, I don’t confuse electing a senator with selecting a pastor. Because I hold politicians in such low regard, I am never emotionally shattered to learn they’re not the living embodiment of all the virtues.

If I lived in Alabama, I would have voted for Luther Strange in the primary for two reasons. The first is that he was a strong supporter of President Trump. The second is that Moore has always come across as holier-than-thou; a persona I don’t care for in a judge any more than I do in a politician or a neighbor.

But I would vote for Moore in the upcoming election because I don’t want to make it any easier for Sen. clown-Schumer and Rep. Pulosi to obstruct Trump’s agenda. Turncoats like RINO-McCain, RINO-Murkowski and RINO-Collins, have already made it easier than I care to think about.

Now that some of the Democrats have belatedly turned on liar-Bill Clinton, we Republicans are expected to do the same when it comes to Mr. Moore. But it’s a false equation, and not simply because liar-Clinton was guilty of perjury and probably guilty of rape. Had liar-Clinton resigned or been removed from office in 1999, he would have been replaced by another Democrat, V.P. Al Gore.  Only liar-Clinton would have suffered.

So, if the allegations against Moore had surfaced during the Alabama primary, people would have had the option of voting for the other Republican, Sen. Strange. But if Moore loses to Doug Jones in the December face-off, the beneficiary would be Chuck clown-Schumer, who would then only have to flip two other seats in 2018 in order for the liberals to take back control of the Senate.

● Bearing out my low opinion of politicians in general is the recent disclosure that over the past 20 years, 264 allegations of bad behavior -- most of it involving sexual harassment -- have been settled out of a congressional slush fund, to the tune of $17 million. That works out to about 64,000 of our tax dollars, per-allegation. Worse yet, the identity of the politicians is kept under wraps. So, it costs the creeps not a nickel of their own money, plus they are allowed to pass themselves off as characters destined for canonization.

Speaking of plaster saints, we have Rep. John Conyers, often referred to as the Dean of the House because he has held office since 1964. He is now being outed as a serial harasser, who, when accused of having recently paid a temp staffer $27,000 in hush money, insisted it was merely severance pay.

I don’t entirely blame Conyers, who is 88-years-old, for acting up. I blame Viagra. Without those little blue devils, I’m sure the congressman would have cut out the monkey business a long time ago.

● I know that it is part of the Left’s mantra that every illegal alien is a hard-working former valedictorian currently serving with the U.S. military. What makes the claims particularly hard to swallow is that over the past 15 or 20 years, 38 U.S. border agents have been murdered.

I would suggest that if Trump is as serious as I believe he is about building the Wall, he quit begging Congress to fund it. Instead, he should call for contributions from the people. When the members of Congress, at least the Republicans, see the money flooding in from those who actually vote, it’s my guess they’d quickly jump on the bandwagon and carry the ball over the goal line.

● The relevant question to the Hispanic activists is just how much longer are they going to insist that low-skilled illiterates are the panacea for the U.S. economy. No city or state has seen a financial windfall from their presence, and why would they? The aliens don’t pay state or federal income taxes. A lot of the money they make is paid under the table, and a fair percentage of it is then wired to their relatives south of the border. In the meantime, it’s the American taxpayer who is forced to pick up the slack for them when it comes to shelter, schools and medical care.

If these people are as wonderful as guys like Xavier Becerra, Jorge Ramos and Luis Gutierrez, keep insisting they are, they should be anxious to move a few of these families into their own large homes.

The truth is that the Democrats want the influx to continue unabated because the illegals will all be voting for them some day; the Republicans want to continue supplying their wealthy donors with cheap labor; the Hispanic politicians want to see the numbers grow, because with each additional alien, they see their power and influence grow; and with it, the chance that they will not only live to see an Hispanic wind up in the White House, but that his name might well be Xavier Becerra or Luis Gutierrez.

● I recently shared my dislike of people who go on safaris to kill wild animals, just so they can hang a head on their wall.

I particularly dislike them when they add hypocrisy to their rap sheet by insisting they’re conservationists who are merely thinning the herds in order to ensure food, water and space, for the survivors.

I would prefer to see them thin the human herd, starting with those career criminals who have spent half their lives in prison. Are we really supposed to believe these felons will suddenly undergo a miraculous redemption and spend their final years caring for lepers or agreeing to serve as human guinea pigs for medical research?

● Speaking of the decline and fall of the human race, I recently came across a fascinating fact. On November 9, 1965, New York City experienced a 13-hour blackout. There were virtually no crimes of any kind committed, although millions of people were pretty much trapped where they were, in the dark.

However, in 1977 and 2003, when NYC was again hit with blackouts, looting, sexual assaults and other crimes, soared.

People who believe that humans continue to evolve in a positive direction really haven’t been paying attention.

● Speaking of people, a magazine with that name recently declared that country singer Blake Shelton is the Sexiest Man in the World. Frankly, I’m surprised that in 2017, People continues this silly annual tradition.

Especially at a time when sex has fallen into disrepute, thanks to the likes of Harvey Weinstein, Louis CK, Charlie Rose, Ben Affleck and Kevin Spacey, I’m surprised it’s still being promoted as a good thing. Besides, what makes Mr. Shelton sexier than Rep. John Conyers?

● Is there any institution that has ever fallen so far and so quickly in the estimation of the public as the FBI? It seems like just yesterday that the Bureau was being held up as the epitome of patriotism and trustworthiness, its clean-cut, non-partisan, agents serving as the ultimate role models for the youth of America.

It was bad enough when the FBI’s top dog James Comey was serving as the lap dog of Loretta Lynch, but I’m not seeing much difference now that Trump has replaced him with Christopher Wray. But to be fair, I’ve not seen much improvement in the year since Mrs. Lynch was replaced by Jeff Sessions.

● I was reminded that back in the day, when I was writing scripts for “MASH,” one of the guys on staff had previously been a writer on the Sonny & Cher variety show. He told me that Cher was the most ignorant person he had ever met. It was her belief that the moon was simply the other side of the sun.

My vote, however, would go to my former sister-in-law. Because she was a left-wing social worker, that will probably not come as a big surprise. Once, when we happened to be discussing the world’s population, she informed me that she guessed it was ten million. Okay, granted, not everyone is good with numbers.

But she also admitted that when she was in high school and would see the football players in their uniforms, she marveled at the size of their shoulders, not knowing they were wearing pads.

I found that even more perplexing than her take on the earth’s population; after all, she must have seen the guys in classes and the hallway when they weren’t wearing their football jerseys.

But perhaps she didn’t recognize them as the same people.

I know that sounds ridiculous, but have you heard Mad-Maxine Waters recently?

● When she got word that President Trump had pardoned the big turkey, it’s rumored that liar-Hillary Clinton laughed: “I knew all along that he was kidding when he said: ‘Lock her up!’”

Maybe they could even help spread that message, that we’re not owed anything by anybody, and that participating in criminal activities is a choice made by individuals for themselves. In making the point that blaming the system, white people and police is a cop out, Denzel Washington might be hurting the sensitive feeling of more than a few of the whiny social justice agitators. John Conyers Sunday... calling the 88-year-old congressman “an icon.” NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Pulosi on “Meet the Press” Sunday whether Conyers, who faces sexual harassment allegations, should be “in or out” of Congress. “We are strengthened by due process. Just because someone is accused — and was it one accusation? Is it two?” Pulosi replied. “John Conyers is an icon in our country. He has done a great deal to protect women — Violence Against Women Act, which the left — right-wing — is now quoting me as praising him for his work on that, and he did great work on that.”...  http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/26/pelosi-defends-conyers-says-hes-an-icon/?utm_medium=email

by J.E. Dyer
{lidblog.com} ~ It’s not clear why this narrative created by leakers is being trotted out again since it was silly the first time and hasn’t gotten better with age. One passage in the new piece suggests a reason, and I’ll get to that at the end.

But for whatever purpose, Vanity Fair saw fit this week to run with an article by Howard Blum about the May 2017 meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in which Donald Trump spoke about the ISIS bomb plot that prompted the laptop ban announced in March, for flights coming from some foreign locations.

At the time, news outlets including the Washington Post and New York Times reported from unnamed sources that Trump had revealed “sources and methods” information to the Russian delegation, including clues that Israeli intelligence had played a key role in uncovering the bomb plot.

At some point, the media narrative came to revolve around the specific claim that Trump had revealed which city in Syria the plot was uncovered in. This was breathlessly implied to be a red-hot clue that gave the game away to the visiting Russians. The media outlets didn’t even name the city at first, although they quickly got around to uttering the syllables: “Raqqa.”

H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, threw cold water on the whole story, including the name-of-city detail, stating categorically that (a) Trump hadn’t even been briefed on any sensitive “sources and methods” related to the laptop-bomb plot and thus didn’t know anything too sensitive to tell the Russians about; and (b) the Russians would have known everything Trump told them from publicly-available information – including the data point on Raqqa.

I made that very case at the time, pointing out that Raqqa was one of the most obvious places to look anyway. The public had been aware for months that ISIS had a known Al-Qaeda bomb-maker working with them, and that the terror group was plotting against airliners. None of this was news.

What the leakers and the media achieved with this little episode was telling the Russians what Trump did not tell them, according to McMaster and other U.S. personnel present: that Israel had a role. And we still have no independently verifiable evidence that that is true. It certainly could be, but a well-intentioned person would hope it isn’t, since leaking information about it to the media would be a felony, for anyone who signed a government-administered oath with either the U.S. or Israel to guard such information as a secret. For what it’s worth, Jordan chimed in at the time to insist that Israel was not the source of the laptop-bomb intel.

Now the narrative is being recycled, and the same effect is kicking in. This time around, there is more detail about an Israeli operation said to have occurred at the end of February 2017, in which Israeli special forces were inserted into Syria.

I have to say right up-front that the tale of the operation could be valid, but could also have been written based on web research. Every aspect of it could have been sourced from accounts of old operations, and information from Wikipedia.

But let’s say the details did come from professional knowledge of how the Israelis conduct such operations. If that’s the case, then the leaker has revealed himself as either the Fourth Stooge of intelligence leakers, are as a vicious criminal seeking to compromise Israeli operations.

Maybe there wasn’t any felonious intent. Let’s assume that second possibility away. In that case, it would be pretty incompetent to seek to convey the significance of what Trump said and only succeed in spilling your guts on what you know about Israeli special operations.

The impression left by Blum’s piece, in the latter case, is that that’s exactly what someone did.

If the objective was to hammer Trump for exposing sensitive intelligence details, the new leak utterly failed. Howard Blum’s article doesn’t finger Trump as having revealed the information about Israeli intel ops. It’s clear that the operational details about the supposed February mission were reconstructed for the Vanity Fair story:

It was a covert mission whose details were reconstructed for Vanity Fair by two experts on Israeli intelligence operations.

It is nowhere alleged that Trump passed on any of this to the Russians. In fact, the Blum narrative builds up to its crescendo only to reveal the following about what Trump supposedly slipped to Lavrov in the May meeting:

The president did not name the U.S. partner who had spearheaded the operation. Journalists, immediately all over the astonishing story, would soon out Israel. But, more problematic, President Trump cavalierly identified the specific city in ISIS-held territory where the threat had been detected.

What motive do the leakers have for flogging this story? We have to judge from the effect they seem to seek to dirty up Trump, and highlight details about Israeli activities that would be compromising – if these are legitimate leaks of information that’s supposed to be kept secret.

Neither goal inspires confidence in the leakers. Here’s the passage I mentioned at the beginning, which inspires, if possible, even less. Blum gives a brief history of the relations between U.S. and Israeli intelligence, and then recounts an exchange meeting at CIA headquarters in January 2017:

[A] small group of Mossad officers and other Israeli intelligence officials took their seats in a Langley conference room on a January morning just weeks before the inauguration of Donald Trump. The meeting proceeded uneventfully; updates on a variety of ongoing classified operations were dutifully shared. It was only as the meeting was about to break up that an American spymaster solemnly announced there was one more thing: American intelligence agencies had come to believe that Russian president Vladimir Putin had “leverages of pressure” over Trump, he declared without offering further specifics, according to a report in the Israeli press. Israel, the American officials continued, should “be careful” after January 20—the date of Trump’s inauguration. It was possible that sensitive information shared with the White House and the National Security Council could be leaked to the Russians. A moment later the officials added what many of the Israelis had already deduced: it was reasonable to presume that the Kremlin would share some of what they learned with their ally Iran, Israel’s most dangerous adversary.

Two things about this paragraph. One, as analyst Omri Ceren and others, have pointed out, this warning – if it was really given – amounts to the liar-nObama administration urging the propaganda of the Steele dossier on one of our foreign allies, to foul its relations with the incoming president.

Two, what Blum’s source describes is not how it’s done. To say that is not to say the exchange didn’t happen. It is to say that if it did happen, it was an off-the-wall-crazy thing to do, and indeed, constitutes the opposite of credible evidence that liar-nObama administration authorities should be taken seriously in their suspicions about Trump.

At no time would an incendiary communication like this – if it’s a good-faith reflection of a policy concern – be passed on casually by working-level officials to other working-level officials. That’s who meets in these scheduled exchanges: working-level officials. They may include appointed officials and still be at the working level, but they are not the highest political-level people in the community, like the CIA director himself, or the Director of National Intelligence.

If the U.S. intelligence community has a good-faith concern of such an explosive nature about the incoming administration, the right thing for senior officials to do, before communicating that to representatives of a foreign country, would be to clear it with the president they currently serve.  Then the very highest level of official would let his personal counterpart in the foreign country know of his concerns, informally and off the official record.

Intel being what it is, a DCI or DNI might even make the communication on his own authority, whether the president had cleared it or not. In that case, he’d be double-sure to do it off the record.

What would not be done about such a highly abnormal communication is what Blum reports: dropping it like a neutron bomb into a routine working-level exchange meeting.

That’s deliberately toxic under any circumstances and sounds definitively more like planting it with malice aforethought than like giving friends a well-intentioned warning.

We can hope that the meeting described by Blum didn’t really go down that way. Maybe something got lost in the translation. Because if it did really happen that way, there’s a whole brigade of Stooges out there running U.S. intelligence – or, sad to say, something much worse.

{rickwells.us} ~ Agenda 21 and its updated Agenda 2030 master plan is still being shoved down our throats by the globalist left... that has seized power over government at all levels in the United States, as Gary Galino points out in this video. He plays a short and tolerable clip of globalist tyrant Hussein liar-nObama in a speech in Africa in which he said, “If everybody’s raising living standards to the point where everybody’s got a car and everybody’s got air conditioning and everybody’s got a big house, well, the planet will boil over.” Using the global warming lie to control the lives of the entire population of the planet has long been the goal of the elites and using the UN as the organization through which it is coordinated and enforced, the various components are being put into place every day...  https://rickwells.us/obama-global-govt-still-transforming-us-to-third-world-nation-as-americans-sleep/

{dailycaller.com} ~ GOP Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan’s message to Republican leadership and every member of Congress is simple: don’t mess with the voters..The dynamic conservative connects the dots of recent political shockwaves to warn those in the public square. From the uprising of the Tea Party movement in 2010, to Dave Brat defeating House Majority Whip Eric Cantor in a primary, to the formation of the Freedom Caucus as a new center of gravity in the House, to John backstabber-Boehner’s early dethroning, and then the 2016 upset by President Donald Trump, the American people have a message for elites in Washington. “If that’s not sending a message to the establishment in this town, I don’t know what will,” Jordan says in this exclusive interview. “Maybe we ought to do what the American people sent us here to do.”...  http://dailycaller.com/2017/11/25/watch-jim-jordan-offer-his-advice-for-republican-leadership-video/?utm_medium=email

{townhall.com} ~ Are you the problem?

Sure, you’d like folks to believe you’re innocent. And you can indeed blame our career politicians, experts at feathering their own nests and abusing the public trust.

Further, you might plea, in your defense, that you even favor reforms like term limits that would reduce the unaccountable power of politicians in Washington.

But still, the exploitative system — the license to abuse others — remains intact.

The particular system of abuse I refer to is the one in which members of Congress repeatedly grope, commit depraved assaults and other sexual tyrannies upon interns and staff and yet remain unaccountable . . . because taxpayers foot the bill and the knowledge of the misconduct kept secret.

Well, the truth’s out, now.

So, what have you done about it?

Obviously, when a child misbehaves, we do not necessarily jump to blame the parents. But what if, after a considerable period of consistently atrocious behavior, the troublemaking child has never been corrected by his or her parents?

At some point, responsibility shifts.

Members of Congress may not be children, but they are . . . our representatives.

After all, it is said we are the government. We’re the boss!

Well, true or false in actual operation, the burden of responsibility falls to us to hold accountable our “public servants” very much in the way that we would hold our own offspring accountable.

The point, here, is not to assess blame so much as to harness public sentiment for some solutions — perhaps via electoral repercussions so severe that solutions come pouring forth from congressmen themselves . . . deathly afraid for their political survival.

Left to their own devices, congressmen are not going to solve the problem. After all, they fashioned the procedures that so superbly shield sexual misconduct from serious consequences.

The current system was actually a reform of the previous system, or non-system, which left victimized women and men without any recourse whatsoever.

Yes, today’s process was part of reforms ushered in by the Republican revolution, those in the congressional Class of ’94, who over two decades ago formed the first GOP-controlled House of Representatives in 40 years. Prior to their establishment of the Office of Compliance (OOC), there was simply no recourse . . . but to personally appeal to the member of Congress or the chief of staff for whom one worked — often times the very scumbags doing the victimizing.

An improvement, sure, but as additional scandals break, the bankruptcy of this system becomes more and more obvious.

“The current system in place does not require the OOC to make public the number of sexual harassment complaints, number of settlements reached, the dollar figure of those settlements or which offices are being complained about,” CNN reported. “Congressional aides say this is giving unintentional cover to the worst offenders in Congress.”

Unintentional?

“In politics,” President Franklin Roosevelt is alleged to have proclaimed, “nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” That bit of wisdom may have been misattributed to FDR, but had he said it, he would have really been onto something.

“Once a settlement is reached,” CNN went on to explain, “the money is not paid out of the individual member’s office but rather comes out of a fund set up to handle this within the US Treasury — meaning taxpayers are footing the bill.”

Unfortunately, we taxpayers foot all those bills. Take the case of one of Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), who, according to the lurid details of a recent scandal, has been roaming the halls of the capitol for the last 52 years . . . allegedly showing up for meetings in his underwear and firing employees who refuse to have sex with him. Conyers paid a settlement to one female staffer he had fired using his office funds — not through the official OCC slush fund. This maneuver didn’t save the taxpayers a dime.

So, what are you going to do about it?

Here’s an idea: Unless and until Congress abolishes this ridiculously corrupt system where taxpayers are forced to subsidize the sexual harassment committed by politicians, do not vote to re-elect any member of Congress.

Don’t commit to this quietly, either. Call your congressman and your state’s two U.S. Senators. Let them know that, even if they are in your political party and/or have policy positions close to your own, enough is enough. Stopping sexual abuse must come first.

If it were your daughter being harassed and abused by these power-mad perverts, you would insist upon it.

Wouldn’t you?

What about for someone else’s innocent daughter?

Or son?

It is obvious that Congress, up till now, has not cared enough. If made to care, these politicians could accomplish the necessary change next week.

Documenting the Islamization of America

Noel, Missouri a victim of Somali Muslim refugee resettlement

( Muslims do not assimilate! ) They infiltrate! )

via Somali refugees change face of southwest Mo. town

NOEL, Mo. — In the far southwest corner of Missouri, refugees may be putting food on your dinner table.

Abdulkadir Abdullahi, a native of Somalia who came to the United States in 2009, estimated that 400 to 500 Somalis, along with some 60 to 70 Sudanese — many of them refugees — now live in the town of Noel, where U.S. Census workers counted a bit more than 1,800 residents in the 2010 Census. He makes a living as an interpreter between the residents and various community groups.

Nearly everyone works for one employer: a chicken processing facility that Tyson Foods (TSN) operates. It sits across the Elk River from downtown, and starting about 10 years ago, the plant’s relatively high starting wages and promises of steady work changed the town’s demographics.

“The companies who produce food, like chicken, throughout the year they don’t have layoffs,” Abdullahi said, explaining Noel’s main appeal to the newcomers.

While rural America often is overwhelmingly white, in the past decade the meatpacking industry has attracted an influx of refugees to select small towns. Along with Noel, sizable Somali communities can be found in places like Liberal, Kan.; Lexington, Neb.; and Fort Morgan, Colo.

On Thursday morning, inside a two-bedroom apartment a block from Main Street, 3-year-old Bedel Kayd and his 1-year-old brother Saadiq sat quietly while finishing a bag of cheese puffs. With Abdullahi acting as translator, their mother, Mun Omer — a Somalian who arrived in the United States in October — said she initially thought President Trump’s executive order banning immigrants or visa holders from seven countries — Somalia, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria and Yemen — for 90 days and refugees for 120 days meant refugees like her would have to return to their home countries.

Trump’s executive order bans refugees from Syria indefinitely.

Omer said she was relieved, to a degree, to learn that her initial fear wasn’t true. But the reality still doesn’t bode well for her father, who is trying to come to America.

Noel’s Main Street is home to a fairly inconspicuous mosque that Abdullahi said opened in 2009. Purple curtains hang over the storefront windows.

Sometimes it briefly houses new arrivals to town.

Next door is the African Grocery Store that opened in 2010, which offers goods like colorful head scarves and rugs in addition to specialty foods.

Noel’s demographic shift can be seen in local schools. In 2013, KBIA-FM, Columbia, Mo., reported that the 401 students at Noel Elementary School spoke 11 languages, and 88% qualified for free or reduced-price lunch — up from six languages and 49% in 2008.

In October 2011, about 130 Somali workers briefly walked off the job during a dispute over prayer time, The Joplin Globe reported. Observant Muslims pray five times a day.

At the time, workers said management changes left them unable to take rotated breaks. Tyson said its religious accommodation policies hadn’t changed and that the matter “was rooted in language differences.”

[Not true USA Today. They claimed a policy change left them unable to take paid Islamic prayer breaks so they walked out.]

Lafley, the mayor, voiced frustration with Somali residents, saying they generally keep to themselves and have failed to assimilate, unlike the Hispanics.

The refugees “want to practice their Sharia law here, and that’s one thing the city won’t tolerate,” he said. Sharia law refers to the set of principles that direct the moral and religious lives of Muslims.

Asked to explain his views, Lafley said men in the community don’t treat women well.

Lydia Kaume, a nutrition specialist with the University of Missouri Extension, said driver’s education was found to be a need. Accidents were being attributed to new arrivals’ lack of knowledge about the rules of the road.

“It’s an issue of not knowing what the expectations are,” Kaume said generally of the community’s challenges.

Several years ago, tires were slashed on more than a dozen of Somalis’ cars, KBIA-FM reported. More recently, three individuals are facing charges after a Somali woman said they yelled at her and used racial slurs before assaulting her at a city park in October, The Globe reported.

Lafley said the town doesn’t have enough housing for the newcomers. So Somali residents live in commercial buildings or with numerous unrelated individuals in a single home, both in violation of city ordinance.

“A lot of people aren’t happy because their little town is turned into a third-world country,” he said.

He acknowledged the feeling of alienation likely goes both ways.

“When they get together on Main Street to go to the mosque, it kind of intimidates some people,” he said. “You get a bunch of white people milling around, and it probably intimidates them.”

Asked if Trump’s executive order could affect Tyson’s ability to staff its Noel plant, officials referred a reporter to the North American Meat Institute. In a statement, the trade group said it hopes the Trump administration “will give careful consideration to the ramifications policy changes like these can have on our businesses and on foreign born workers who are eager to build new lives in America through the jobs our companies can offer.”

“Workforce needs are a constant challenge in our line of work, but we don’t foresee any negative impact on chicken production in the near future from this,” said Tom Super, vice president of communications for the National Chicken Council.

More via Expert: Refugee ‘Chain Migration’ Puts Foreign Labor First

Immigration expert Ira Mehlman with the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) said that while extended family chain migration is a “general bad policy,” he said the booming Somali and Sudanese populations in Noel were most likely due to Tyson Foods’ chicken-processing plant in the town.

The Tyson factory provides about 1,600 jobs to Noel residents. The influx in refugees to the region has, however, cramped the local labor market.

“These meat-packing companies undermine the union jobs,” Mehlman told Breitbart Texas. “They’ve brought in illegal aliens and refugees, but essentially, they’ve used this to replace their unionized workforce. It’s a labor subsidy for the employers.”

“There’s a myth that illegal aliens are a source of cheap labor,” Mehlman continued. “It’s cheap only to the direct employer. The rest of us have to pay for healthcare, education, and other social services.”

Mehlman told Breitbart Texas that in areas similar to Noel, where corporate plants employ the majority of small town population, it is the companies that incentivize chain migration policies; which already allow for spouses and unmarried children to come to the U.S.

“In other places, it has been the employers that has created this phenomenon,” Mehlman said. “They prefer these foreign workers over unionized employees.”

Immigration groups like FAIR and NumbersUSA have been pushing President Trump’s administration to reform chain migration policy, citing that it only leads to more illegal immigration.

Your town could be next.

More Muslim-proofing in America. via Officers Armed With High-Powered Rifles To Patrol MSG, Barclays Center « CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The NYPD will be rolling out additional security around Madison Square Garden and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center as the holidays approach.

The department has trained local officers in the Midtown South and 78th precincts and have armed them with semi-automatic Colt M4 Commando rifles, 1010 WINS’ Juliet Papa reported.

The officers are familiar with the venues and the neighborhoods, and are designed to quickly respond to combat a terror threat in the venues

The officers have already had two weeks of training and would augment the specially earmarked Strategic Response Group that roam the city.

Similar patrols are expected next year at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field and other summer or outdoor venues.

Police Commissioner James O’Neill ordered increased security measures after a suicide bomber killed 22 people at Manchester Arena in England in May, the New York Post reported.

The news comes weeks after eight people were killed and a dozen others injured in a terrorist attack along a bike path in Lower Manhattan. Sayfullo Saipov is accused of driving a rented pickup truck down the West Side bike path, plowing into bicyclists and pedestrians for an entire mile before crashing into a school bus. He is facing terror charges.

While I hate to let liberal media dictate the course of any conversation, there is enough information and misinformation flying around that we need to take a serious look at the accusations levelled against Moore. If it can be proven that Moore is a sex offender, then we don’t need him in the Senate and the Republican Party is better off without him. by Caroline Glick
{truthrevolt.org} ~ Is the war in Syria won? The images broadcast this week from Sochi, the Russian vacation town on the Black Sea coast, were pictures of victory – for the bad guys.

On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin stood beside his Syrian client, President Bashar Assad, who licked Putin’s boots, as well he should have.

Assad owes his regime and his life to Putin.

The next day, Putin was joined by his allies – the presidents of Iran and Turkey.

Hassan Rouhani and Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the pilgrimage to Sochi to stand at Putin’s side and declare victory in the war and dedicate themselves to the cause of “peace and reconciliation” in post-war Syria.

To achieve their lofty goals of peace and reconciliation, Putin and his partners declared that, in the near future, Sochi will be the sight of a peace conference where all the relevant factions in Syria will be represented. The parley they described is set to take place parallel to – and one assumes at the expense of – the sixth round of Syrian reconciliation talks scheduled to take place under UN auspices next week in Geneva.

Several Israeli commentators viewed Putin’s Sochi talks precisely as he wished them to.

Ehud Yaari, Reshet/Keshet’s veteran Arab affairs commentator declared: The US is finished in the Middle East! The capital of the Middle East is now located in Sochi, he proclaimed in back-to-back newscasts.

In certain respects, Yaari is right. Things are looking good these days for the axis of evil.

Wednesday was a particularly good day for Iran. Not only did Rouhani do his victory dance with Putin and Erdogan, but as they were showering themselves in triumph in Sochi, Iran’s Lebanese puppet, Saad Hariri, was returning to Beirut after his misadventures in Saudi Arabia.

As expected, Hariri canceled the resignation he announced dramatically a week-and-a-half earlier in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after accusing Iran and its Hezbollah army of controlling Lebanon.

On the surface, Hariri’s return is a boon for Iran. If he had remained in Saudi Arabia, Iran would have lost its fig leaf.

Hariri’s duty as prime minister is to snow the West into believing that his government and the Lebanese Armed Forces are a counterweight to Iran and Hezbollah, even though they are controlled by Iran and Hezbollah.

Until his trip to Riyadh, Hariri had been doing a good job.

Hariri’s lobbying efforts won Lebanon billions of dollars in US military and civilian aid. Congress would never have agreed to appropriate the assistance if Hariri hadn’t been so persuasive.

But it is far from clear that Hariri will be much of a fig leaf after he let the Iranian/Hezbollah cat out of the bag in Riyadh.

A rising chorus of US lawmakers are demanding an immediate end to US assistance to the LAF. And Hariri’s return to Beirut didn’t dim those voices.

In August, Hariri visited President Donald Trump at the White House. Trump praised Lebanon as “an ally” in the war on terrorism. He increased US aid to the LAF and deployed US special forces to Lebanon where they fought at the side of the LAF under effective Hezbollah command.

It’s hard to imagine Trump welcoming Hariri back to the White House anytime soon.

As for Erdogan, he arrived in Sochi a spent force.

Erdogan is perhaps the biggest loser of the war in Syria. He was the principal sponsor of the anti-Assad opposition that morphed into Islamic State. Erdogan’s cooperation owes mainly to his lack of better options. The US stopped supporting his campaign in Syria two years ago.

Since the failed military coup against him in July 2016, Erdogan has become ever more hostile to the US. This hostility informed his recently concluded deal with Putin to purchase Russia’s S-400 anti-aircraft system. The S-400 threatens every fighter craft in the US arsenal. US officials have responded to his move by seriously considering the possibility of canceling the sale of 100 F-35s to Turkey.

Turkish expulsion from NATO – once a taboo subject – is now regularly discussed in Washington policy circles.

The main reason Erdogan has sided with Putin in Syria is because the US has sided with Syria’s Kurds. Erdogan views the Syrian Kurds as a threat to the stability of his regime. He expects Putin to support his determination to destroy Kurdish autonomy in Syria.

If Putin fails to meet his expectations, Erdogan may abandon his new friends. Or he may stick with them and just become ever more dependent on Putin.

Whatever the case, he won’t be empowered by his membership in Pax Putin.

And this brings us to Putin and Russia.

Certainly it is true that the Sochi summitry has cemented Putin’s position as savior of Mother Russia.

A mere generation ago, Russia was a washed up, fifth-rate power. At the end of the Cold War, the world belonged to America. Today, world leaders beat a path to Putin’s door.

But not everything is roses and sunshine.

Russia’s alliance with Iran and Turkey is predicated on Russia remaining in Syria – come what may.

And what is coming is not likely to be pretty.

While Putin, Erdogan and Rouhani were congratulating themselves in Sochi, another conference was happening in Riyadh. There, leaders of the anti-Assad militia were meeting to discuss their next moves ahead of the UN-sponsored talks next week in Geneva.

True, the forces represented in Saudi Arabia aren’t as powerful as the Iranians, Hezbollah and Russia. But they have guns. And they are disgruntled. And if any number of governments want to give them more guns, they will have more guns and bullets. And they will shoot them at the people keeping Assad in power.

Commentators declaring the dawn of a Russian-controlled Middle East where the US is dead to rites ignore another basic fact. There are a lot of US forces in Syria.

In late October, US Major General James Jarrard, commander of the US’s anti-ISIS task force in Iraq and Syria, “accidentally” told reporters that there are 4,000 US troops in Syria. When reporters pounced on his statement, Jarrard quickly backtracked and said he made a mistake.

There are only 500 US forces in Syria.

Whoopsie daisy.

On Thursday, the Washington Post reported that the administration does not intend to withdraw US forces from Syria now that the mission against ISIS is largely complete.

US forces in Syria are concentrated in Syrian Kurdistan. If the US protects the Kurdish autonomous areas along the border with Iraq, Erdogan will again lose a big bet in Syria. His alliance with Putin will have brought him nothing but a deterioration of his ties with the US and instability at home as Turkish Kurds expand their ties to the autonomous Syrian brethren.

Angry, unreconciled, well-armed rebel forces and autonomous Kurds are far from the biggest threat to Putin’s victory in Syria. The biggest threat to his triumph is Syria itself.

Thanks in large part to Putin and his allies, Syria, today, is one vast ruin.

According to UN assessments, reconstruction costs for the country will run anywhere from $200 billion-$350b.

Does Putin intend to finance Syrian reconstruction? How about Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, or Erdogan or China? Of course not.

And, if Syria remains a ruin, Syria will not be pacified; and, if Syria isn’t pacified, it will continue to bleed.

The media made a big deal about Putin’s phone call to Trump after his meeting with Assad. Some commentators viewed the call as proof Putin is calling the shots in the Middle East. Others saw the opposite – that Putin doesn’t dare move too far ahead of the Americans.

But those views are likely both wrong.

Putin’s record indicates that he cares about two things: reasserting Russia’s great power status and money. For his victory in Syria to avoid becoming a Pyrrhic one, he needs lots of American money to finance Syrian reconstruction.

This brings us to the US, and what Washington wants to do in Syria and the wider Middle East.

So far, the Americans have made every possible mistake in Syria and Iraq.

Then president Barack liar-nObama allowed Assad to commit a genocide of Syria’s Sunnis and foment the refugee crisis in Europe. He allowed Iran and Hezbollah to take over Syria and Iraq. He allowed Erdogan to organize an anti-Assad rebel force dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, which over time morphed into ISIS. He allowed the Russians to use the war as a means to reassert their position in the Middle East 33 years after the Soviets were humiliated and expelled from the Levant.

For his part, Trump has maintained liar-nObama’s Syria policies in relation to Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and Assad. He expanded US military assistance to the LAF. He permitted Iranian militias controlled by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to cooperate with US-trained Iraqi forces in seizing Kirkuk from Kurdish forces. In so doing, Trump betrayed the Kurds, the US’s only reliable allies in Iraq.

If the Americans wish to maintain their record of failure, they have many options for doing so. They can abandon the Syrian Kurds. They can help Putin by underwriting Syrian reconstruction.

They can continue to arm the Hezbollah-controlled LAF. But the Americans do have an option to succeed, as well.

If Trump keeps US forces in Syrian Kurdistan, and if he refuses to help pay for Syrian reconstruction so long as Assad remains in power and Iranian and Hezbollah forces remain on the ground and if the US ends its civilian and military assistance to Lebanon, the US and its allies will be strengthened, and Russia and its allies will be weakened.

If the Americans do not interfere as Syrian “freedom fighters” defend against Iranian or Russian “aggression,” it won’t matter what terms the Iranians give Putin for gas, or oil or nuclear deals. He will seek a way out of Syria.

On May 1, 2003, then president George W. Bush landed a S-3 Viking fighter craft on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln dressed in a flight suit. Before an audience of cheering troops and against the backdrop of a banner that read “Mission Accomplished,” Bush declared: “Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.”

A month later, the real Iraq war started.

In the years that followed, probably not a day went by when Bush didn’t regret his victory dance on the USS Lincoln.

Putin, Rouhani and to a much smaller degree Erdogan are right that, as of now, they are the victors in Syria. But let us not empower them by believing them invincible. Their victory against ISIS – achieved with massive US assistance – is certainly an achievement. But it isn’t the end of the story. If the Americans do not save them, the situation on the ground augers quagmire, not triumph, for their axis and for their separate regimes.

Egypt: Muslim TV host says jihad massacres of Christians “okay,” but not jihad massacre in mosque

“We saw attacks by terrorists on the police and army, and we said this is mutual violence. These extremist groups have attacked churches and we said that they think it is a [different] religion, not Islam, and it is hostile to them, and then we said it is okay, but how [can these groups attack] Muslims?,” Magdi said.

It is good that she was suspended, but where did she get this idea in the first place? Straight from the Sharia. In Islamic law, Muslim lives are explicitly worth more than those of non-Muslims. The Shafi’i Sharia manual ‘Umdat al-Salik dictates: “The indemnity for the death or injury of a woman is one-half the indemnity paid for a man. The indemnity paid for a Jew or Christian is one-third the indemnity paid for a Muslim. The indemnity paid for a Zoroastrian is one-fifteenth that of a Muslim.” (o4.9)

The Shafi’i madhhab is not the only school of Islamic law that teaches this. The Iranian Shi’ite Sufi Sheikh Sultanhussein Tabandeh explains: “Thus if [a] Muslim commits adultery his punishment is 100 lashes, the shaving of his head, and one year of banishment. But if the man is not a Muslim and commits adultery with a Muslim woman his penalty is execution…Similarly if a Muslim deliberately murders another Muslim he falls under the law of retaliation and must by law be put to death by the next of kin. But if a non-Muslim who dies at the hand of a Muslim has by lifelong habit been a non-Muslim, the penalty of death is not valid. Instead the Muslim murderer must pay a fine and be punished with the lash….Since Islam regards non-Muslims as on a lower level of belief and conviction, if a Muslim kills a non-Muslim…then his punishment must not be the retaliatory death, since the faith and conviction he possesses is loftier than that of the man slain…Again, the penalties of a non-Muslim guilty of fornication with a Muslim woman are augmented because, in addition to the crime against morality, social duty and religion, he has committed sacrilege, in that he has disgraced a Muslim and thereby cast scorn upon the Muslims in general, and so must be executed….Islam and its peoples must be above the infidels, and never permit non-Muslims to acquire lordship over them.” — Sultanhussein Tabandeh, A Muslim Commentary on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

“Egyptian TV host suspended over comments on N. Sinai mosque attack,” Al-Masry Al-Youm, November 26, 2017 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Owner of Sada al-Balad Media Group Mohamed Abu al-Enein has suspended one of its TV hosts Rasha Magdi and referred her to an internal investigation over inappropriate comments she made on air regarding Friday’s terrorist attack on the al-Rawda mosque in North Sinai.

Magdi went off script during her show on the privately-owned Sada al-Balad TV channel on Friday, describing terrorist attacks against the army and police as “mutual violence,” while suggesting that attacks against Christians are more understandable than attacks against Muslims.

When Magdi worked for the state television network, several legal cases were filed against her for inciting hatred against Egypt’s Copic Christians, particularly regarding the killing by the Egyptian army of more than 25 Christians during what has become known as the Maspero massacre….

Denmark: Rapes Increased 232 Percent Since Liberals Took Power

( Muslims do not assimilate!  They infiltrate! )

Safety of women has declined under Liberal rule in Denmark.

Since the Liberals took power in the Summer of 2015, the number of reported rapes has increased by 232 percent, according to fresh data from the Danish state bureau of statistics, Danmarks Statistik.

An increase in reported rapes also means an increase in unreported rapes. A state report concludes “many rapes are not reported.”

Since the Liberals took power, tens of thousands of migrants and refugees from Islamic countries have been allowed into the country. Many more are now following, due to family reunifications.

by Daveda Gruber:

Michigan Rep. John Conyers (D-Michigan) stepped aside as the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee. He denies recent allegations of sexual and inappropriate conduct.

Conyers said in a statement, “In light of the attention drawn by recent allegations made against me, I have notified the Democratic leader of my request to step aside as ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee during the investigation of these matters.”

Conyers, 88 was hit with several allegations of misconduct while in Congress that are now being investigated by the House Ethics Committee.

Term limits comes to mind here. Eighty-eight years old, give me a break, retire.

Conyers’ office paid a woman more than $27,000 under a confidentiality agreement to settle a complaint in 2015 that she was fired from his Washington staff because she rejected his sexual advances.

Melanie Sloan, a lawyer who worked with Conyers on the House Judiciary Committee, said she was called into the long-serving congressman’s office to discuss an issue and found him “walking around in his underwear.”

Maybe he has dementia? He forgot to get dressed? Did he come to work in clothes?

Conyers often screamed at Sloan and fired and re-hired her. He criticized her for not wearing stockings and one time ordered her to baby-sit one of his children.

Stockings are a turn-on for some men. Firing and rehiring is absurd behavior. Get the old cronies out of our government!

Am I being too harsh? I think not.
