Questions about Las Vegas

The investigation of the shooting in Las Vegas continues. A crime scene so massive and with so many different scenarios will be completely covered and no question will go unanswered. Sheriff Joseph Lombardo is doing a masterful job and both he and other investigators have worked countless hours attempting to find out the what and why of what happened.

As always, we will not get all the answers that the American people are seeking. In the aftermath of the worst mass shooting in American history it is imperatives that the answers are clear, concise and honest. I am convinced that at the end of all the investigations, and the media has moved on to the next major story, there will still be questions about why this happened and how did it happen.

Questions remain, some may be just conspiracy and some may be factual. In either case, they are questions that need to be answered. One question is that the authorities are stating that Paddock did not check in until September 28th. A question arises when individuals who work at the Mandalay Bay assert that Paddock ordered room service on the 27th for two people. Who was that other person and why are authorities stating that Paddock did not check in until the 28th? Sources at the Mandalay Bay are claiming that Paddock actually checked in on the 25th.

Paddock, an out of shape former accountant with no military training is not capable of pulling this off by himself. With no experience in guns, ho could he have fired as rapidly and accurately as he did. As a military veteran and have experience with fully automatic weapons, they can be hard to control, jam easily and tend to overheat. Using an automatic weapon effectively takes extensive training and experience in the use of such weapons. Being a retired accountant senior citizen, I do not understand how Paddock had the skill or the stamina to fire for so long. The overheating is also a reason why suppressors (silences in Hillarys vernacular) are never used on such weapons. They have a tendency to melt and more quickly jam the gun.

How is law enforcement convinced that there was only one shooter? There are pictures that clearly show rifle fire from a lower window. And why are there recordings of law enforcement talking of another possible suspect on the fourth floor?

At the scene of the crime, why were all the exits blocked. Those 22,000 happy concert goers found themselves trapped, with ability to get out or to seek cover. The ten foot walls kept the multitude of people in the fire zone with no way out.

I have been to Las Vegas many times, living in Southern California and I can not understand how anyone, much less Paddock can carry so many weapons and ammunition into a room without being seen.

Even Trey Gowdy, the no nonsense Representative from South Carolina is skeptical. In Rep. Gowdy’s words, he is skeptical that the amount of premeditation  and can not believe that a single person could have done this without assistance.

Further questions include: why so many rifles and weapons if there was only one shooter. Were the rifles that were there for another shooter? Were they all Paddock’s weapons and was he funded by others to have that so many weapons?

Paddock was found dead in his room by a self inflicted gunshot wound. Law enforcement states that he shot himself when they blew the door open to his room. Is there a ballistic report on the bullet that killed him that will close out that part of the investigation?

The broken windows on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay are the supposed site where the firing of the bullets that killed 58 people took place. Automatic weapons have a very pronounced flash, why were there no flashes from the 32nd floor? I have not heard whether flash suppressors were used, but even then there would be some flash. There are purported to be flashes from the 4th floor, but that has not been confirmed. The audio of the online videos and other videos it clearly be heard overlapping gunfire from two different weapons. Barring any further explanation, how can Paddock be responsible for all the carnage.

Paddock has no criminal history in either federal, state or local law enforcement.  He had no affiliation with any activist group that is known of, although there are reports that Antifa literature may have been found in his room. Paddock was not politically active, or even religiously affiliated. Paddock did not have the ability of the meticulously planning, coordination or funding an attack such as this.

The final question I have is – has the Australian man,  Brian Hodge,  who was in the room next to Paddock been interviews and will that investigation be made public? He as stated “There were multiple shooters, and this same gentleman also provided information about the shooting that took the life of a security guard, supposedly shot by law enforcement.

Or another witness also from Australia, Wendy Miller who was staying next to the Mandalay Bay at the Luxor, where she described the security police chasing a Security Guard, or someone dressed as one, down the escalator that comes from the Mandalay Bay to the Luxor. Is there any information about this being given to the public about this.

These are questions that may be factual and need to be cleared by the end of the investigation. There are those that are already declaring this a “false flag” operation that is meant to lead to further gun control and eventually to a civil war. Hopefully Law Enforcement, both local and federal are aware of all these anomalies to the description they want the public to believe. Attention must be paid to those who are doing the investigation.

4064478775?profile=original                   JIMMY KIMMEL LIES ABOUT TRUMP, GUNS AND THE MENTALLY ILL

                                                                                     By

                                                                       Daniel John Sobieski

There is a delicious sense of irony in gun-control advocate Jimmy Kimmel beefing up his armed security after falsely claiming on his late night talk show after the Las Vegas massacre that President Trump had made it easier for the mentally ill to get guns. Guns are okay to protect the liberal elites but not for the rest of us who can’t be trusted or don’t know any better.

The same double standard exists for Democratic members of Congress who demand their constituents be disarmed even as they welcome back Rep, Steve Scalise, the victim of a shooting where a bad guy with a gun was stopped by a good guy with a gun. Many members of Congress are alive today only because Scalise, being a member of the House leadership, had his armed security detail with him

Dr. Kimmel has no way of knowing even now that the Las Vegas shooter was mentally unstable. Certainly the meticulous planning and preparation by the shooter over a long period of time would seem to indicate that while the shooter was evil, he was perfectly competent and sane. Certainly Kimmel’s charge against Trump is not true:

Noting that President Trump had offered prayers for the victims’ families, and that Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, had said that this wasn’t the time for political debate, he went on: “We have fifty-nine innocent people dead. It wasn’t their time, either. So I think now is the time for political debate.” He reminded his audience that, in February, Trump had signed a bill that made it easier for people with mental illness to buy guns. “The Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, the Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, a number of other lawmakers who won’t do anything about this because the N.R.A. has their balls in a money clip, also sent their thoughts and their prayers today. Which is good. They should be praying. They should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country.”

Steve Scalise owes his life to the Second Amendment, which was written, not to shoot dear, but to shoot tyrants. The Second Amendment was written to protect the other nine in the Bill of Rights, including the First Amendment which gives Jimmy Kimmel the right to sound like the blooming idiot he is.

What President Trump signed was a bill overturning an executive order that would tar the innocent with the broad brush of mental illness, people which included the elderly and veterans, in order to pursue the Obama administration’s gun control agenda:

Here's what happened earlier this year: Congress voted to overturn a last-minute Obama-era regulation that would give the Social Security Administration the power to revoke a person's Second Amendment rights based on whether he receives disability for a mental impairment that keeps him from working, or if he "[uses] a representative payee to help manage their benefits."

As my Washington Examiner colleague David Freddoso explained at the time, the repeal of the Obama-era regulation, "doesn't allow people to buy guns who have been properly adjudicated by a court of law as mentally ill or unstable."

The Obama-era rule was designed to take away people's rights without due process of law. It would have flagged the names of people who, for example, have an anxiety disorder or depression which keeps them from working, and who, as the SSA puts it, ‘need help in managing [their] personal money affairs,'" he added. "As the many non-political mental health and autism advocacy groups that supported the House action noted, there is no link between these factors and a propensity for violence."

The Obama administration repeatedly tried to use mental health as a means, not to make us safer, but to deny us our gun rights under the Second Amendment. Consider President’s pick of Dr. Vivek Murthy to be our Surgeon General, someone who firmly believes gun control is a health issue, something that can and should be used to gut out Second Amendment Rights. As Investor’s Business Daily editorialized during his confirmation process:

Murthy's approach to attacking the Second Amendment has been to say private ownership of firearms is a public health issue. The 37-year-old Murthy is president and co-founder of the anti-gun group Doctors for America, which advocates ObamaCare and gun control laws. His group, which has been dubbed Docs vs. Glocks, has pushed Congress to ban "assault" weapons and "high capacity" magazines.

Doctors for America has promoted the invasion of privacy by doctors by advocating they ask patients if they have guns at home, including asking children if their parents own guns. He would have doctors counsel their patients against exercising their Second Amendment rights. One wonders how private that information would remain if entered into the medical records the government would be privy to under ObamaCare.

Back in 2013 a piece of legislation called Toomey-Manchin proposed that doctors be allowed to unilaterally place a patient’s name in the background check system in a way that violated patient doctor confidentially under HIPAA as well as our Second Amendment Rights:

The Toomey-Manchin proposal contains a provision that lets a doctor add a patient to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) without ever telling the patient he or she has been added.

This would seem to violate doctor-patient confidentiality, due process and the presumption of innocence in one fell swoop.

As the Heritage Foundation reports, this "gun control legislation eliminates any (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy protection for mental health records in connection with the NICS system, leaving only what privacy protection the attorney general cares to provide."

The Obama administrations idea of keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill is based on a bizarre and discriminatory definition of who might be mentally unstable. Back in 2013 it was reported that the Veterans Administration was sending letters to vets warning them that they might be declared mentally incompetent and have their Second Amendment rights stripped unless they could prove otherwise:

The contempt by the Obama administration for our Constitution and our rights has reached a new low with news the Veterans Administration has begun sending letters to veterans telling them they will be declared mentally incompetent and stripped of the Second Amendment rights unless they can prove to unnamed bureaucrats to the contrary….

"A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. If you knowingly violate any of these prohibitions, you may be fined, imprisoned, or both pursuant to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2)," the letter reads….

While mental health is a factor in the current gun control debate and recent mass shootings in Newtown, Conn., and Aurora, Colo., and elsewhere have in common the questionable mental state of the shooters, to single out returning vets from Iraq and Afghanistan this way is unconscionable and unconstitutional.

As the Los Angeles Times has reported, the Obama administration woulf like to make our Social Security records part of the background check system. The move would strip some four million Americans who receive payments though a “representative payee” of their gun rights. It would be the largest gun grab in U.S. history.

A potentially large group within Social Security are people who, in the language of federal gun laws, are unable to manage their own affairs due to "marked subnormal intelligence, or mental illness, incompetency, condition, or disease."

There is no simple way to identify that group, but a strategy used by the Department of Veterans Affairs since the creation of the background check system is reporting anyone who has been declared incompetent to manage pension or disability payments and assigned a fiduciary.

Keeping guns out of the hands of the truly mentally unstable is a worthy goal, but it should not be used as a cause for disarming veterans who carried a weapon in defense of their country or senior systems who might need some assistance in paying their bills.

They deserve the presumption of innocence, and sanity, every bit as much as Vester Flanagan. Stripping away their Second Amendment rights in the name of mental health would be a gross injustice that would not make us safer, butwould merely create millions of unarmed victims for the next shooter with an agenda.

Sometimes Trump Puts the 'Bully' in Bully Pulpit

by Nate Jackson:  Puerto Rico took a direct hit from Hurricane Maria when the Category 4 storm blew through on Sept. 20. Nearly two weeks later, most of the island’s three million citizens are still without power, water or reliable communication.

The small U.S. territory was underwater in debt and saddled with poor infrastructure after decades of Democrat mismanagement before the hurricane, and the storm only made matters worse. The logistical challenges of bringing aid are formidable, and Carmen Yulín Cruz, Democrat mayor of San Juan, reached her limit. On Friday, she lashed out at Donald Trump’s administration, saying, “We are dying, and you are killing us with the inefficiency, and the bureaucracy.” If logistics aren’t solved, she warned, “What we are going to see is something close to a genocide.” She had plenty of other strong words criticizing Trump’s response, particularly an administration official’s assertion that federal aid to the island has been “a good news story.”
Her dismay is certainly understandable, though we haven’t seen evidence to support her charges. The undertaking is massive, and the federal government is responding. In fact, Trump sent 5,000 National Guard troops to the island before the storm, and thousands more since, all working to help people and distribute necessary items. Restoring basic utilities to the entire island isn’t going to happen overnight, no matter how flawless the federal response. Nevertheless, Democrats politicized the storm from the beginning — whether it was climate change or “more people voting Democrat in Florida” as a result — and the Leftmedia is, of course, happy to portray this as “Trump’s Hurricane Katrina.
Unfortunately, that constant fake news refrain probably goaded Trump to respond with a bit more weight than was appropriate. As is his unfortunate habit, Trump couldn’t resist taking to Twitter to hit back twice as hard. “The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump,” he tweeted. “Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They … want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job. The military and first responders, despite no electric, roads, phones etc., have done an amazing job. Puerto Rico was totally destroyed.
As political analyst Dan McLaughlin argues, “There’s a time and a place for partisan combat, and a tone that the president ought to set even when others are throwing brickbats. People want the man in charge to seem like he’s in charge and focused on helping them, not on his public image or personal feuds.” Or in our parlance, “Don’t swap spit with a jackass.”
Indeed, it certainly seems as though he’s more concerned with his public image and personal feuds when he punches down on Twitter. Furthermore, he mixes very serious tweets — like offering condolences to those in Las Vegas — with petulant and sophomoric spats, which undermines his serious statements and his overall communication. This is the core of the problem with his social media use.  ~The Patriot Post

Carlson – liar-Clinton Tweets Show
She Hasn’t Got A Clue, Just Gun-Grabbing
{rickwells.us} ~ Tucker Carlson has two guests each of which shed light on liar-Hillary Clinton’s comments in their own way... One by her intelligent input, and a second by his own inane comments in defense of the idiocy of liar-Hillary Clinton’s ill-advised tweet. Carlson describes liar-Clinton as wasting “not a second leveraging the attacks in Las Vegas. This morning she tweeted, “The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get.”  He goes on to say, “liar-Clinton then added, without a trace of irony, ‘Our grief is not enough. We must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again.'”...  https://rickwells.us/carlson-clinton-tweets-gun-grabbing/

Austria: Integration Law Goes into Effect
Austria's new integration law is the brainchild of Foreign
Minister Sebastian Kurz
by Soeren Kern
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ A groundbreaking new law regulating the integration of immigrants has gone into effect in Austria. The so-called Integration Law — which bans full-face Muslim veils in public spaces... and prohibits Islamic radicals from distributing the Koran — establishes clear rules and responsibilities for recognized asylum seekers and refugees who are granted legal residence in the country. Austrian officials say the main goal of the law is to promote respect for Austrian values, customs and culture; Muslims claim that the measure unfairly targets them and will promote "Islamophobia." As of October 1, anyone covering his or her face in public with a burka, niqab or mask is subject to a fine of €150 ($175). The law, which follows similar bans in Belgium, France and the Netherlands, requires the face to be completely visible in all public spaces, including bus, rail, air and sea transport. Those who refuse to comply are subject to arrest...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11104/austria-integration-law-burqa

San Juan Teamsters Didn’t Show Up for Work
to Distribute Relief Supplies – US
Aid Rotting at Ports
{thegatewaypundit.com} ~ Now we know why the people have no aid. The Teamsters Union drivers did not show up to work. Only 20% of drivers arrived at the ports to distribute the relief supplies... They have the generators, water, food, medicine, and fuel on the ground, yet the supplies are not moving across the island as quickly as they’re needed. “It’s a lack of drivers for the transport trucks, the 18 wheelers. Supplies we have. Trucks we have. There are ships full of supplies, backed up in the ports, waiting to have a vehicle to unload into. However, only 20% of the truck drivers show up to work. These are private citizens in Puerto Rico, paid by companies that are contracted by the government”...  http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/09/smoking-gun-san-juan-teamsters-didnt-show-work-distribute-relief-supplies-us-aid-rotting-ports/

{westernjournalism.com} ~ In August, a cargo ship flying Cambodian colors sailed from North Korea with unknown cargo until it was intercepted in Egyptian waters... and its contents sparked an international investigation. Upon entering Egyptian waters, the “Jie Shun” was seized by customs agents who discovered a cache of nearly 24,000 rocket launchers and components for 6,000 more weapons hidden  beneath bins of iron ore. THE SWAMP OVERFLOWS
by Burt Prelutsky

Donald Trump vowed to drain the swamp. That may have been his honest intention, but it was and remains an impossible promise to keep. A person might as well set about emptying the Pacific Ocean with a teaspoon.

The latest person to fall prey to swamp fever is Tom Price, Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services. In the few months he was a member of the Cabinet, he had chartered private jets to the tune of $1,000,000. You would think in order to run up a bill that large, the guy would have had to be using a plane to commute between his home and his office. As it happens, he nearly did.

Never having been employed by the federal government, I have no idea how I would deal with the temptations such jobs seem to confer. But I do know that if I were the President, I would announce on Day One to my Cabinet and to all my White House aides that if any of them were ever discovered to have taken personal advantage of their position, they would not get away with simply resigning; that I would make examples of them by prosecuting them to the full extent of the law, and that I would testify on behalf of the prosecution at their trials.

Moreover, with the exception of the President and the Vice-President, no government official, including Cabinet members, senators and members of the House, should be provided with a car and driver. They should, as public servants, deal with the same traffic nightmare as everyone else in Washington, D.C.

I would also deny politicians the use of bodyguards, unless they wished to pay for them out of their own pocket. They should share the same jeopardy as every other American who lives in a major city. The fact is they are very replaceable, as proven every time an election rolls around. They possess no particular skills or talents. All that is required of them is that they win an election, just like teenagers running for class president in the 10th or 11th grade, which explains the constant presence of people like Mad-Maxine Waters, Al Franken and Nancy Pulosi, in the halls of Congress.

When it comes to the people’s representatives, they confuse their fame with actual accomplishments. The truth is, we don’t honor their achievements because they simply don’t exist. Casting a vote is not an accomplishment, it’s merely an act, usually partisan and predictable. What we do acknowledge is their celebrity, as we have become accustomed to do with the likes of Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and sex freaks like Chelsea Manning and Caitlyn Jenner, people not known for what lies between their ears or even in their hearts, but what is or isn’t between their legs.

● Even I am getting tired of writing about the overgrown thugs of the NFL, but so long as the players and owners are going to keep pretending that they’re simply taking advantage of the 1st Amendment, it behooves all of us to set them straight, either with our words or by boycotting their shoddy product. Nobody is impinging on their right to speak freely, although they’re not really saying anything. We’re merely taking advantage of the same right.

They would have you believe that when they show their contempt for the flag and the National Anthem, it’s their way of expressing their solidarity with the so-called black community in its ongoing war with the police.

For openers, it’s a very odd, circumspect, way to go about it. For another, perhaps if so many of the players hadn’t had direct involvement with the cops, thanks to having been arrested on drug charges, DUI, illegal weapon possession, domestic violence, rape and assault, one might have an easier time accepting that their motives were even slightly altruistic.

I have long wondered how those who are always railing for employment quotas in the workplace would react if the NFL and NBA, which are 70-80% black, were forced to begin fielding teams that are more in line with the nation’s population, which is only 13% black.

I have now been forwarded something that purports to be an NFL rule at least half a dozen times. It spells out how players are expected to behave during the playing of the National Anthem. As I expected from the first time someone sent it to me, it is not in the rulebook. And why would it be? Who would ever have assumed it was necessary to teach grown-ups something most people knew by the age of five?  And, now, of course it’s too late, because the 300-pound bozos would insist the rule of conduct infringed on their right to free expression.

Every time that a Democrat speaks out on race, you are certain to be reminded that more young blacks go to prison than to college. And while I grant that there’s more freedom of speech in our jails than on our campuses, I’d be the first to acknowledge that’s not good news. But whose fault is it?

Are we supposed to stop incarcerating those who commit felonies? Granted, that was liar-nObama’s solution, when he decided that dealing drugs was not a violent crime, although it is the motive behind most of the thousands of murders committed every year in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Atlanta and Houston. But, then, liar-nObama was also far more concerned with disarming members of the NRA and all the other law-abiding Americans he dismissed so contemptuously as “those clinging to their guns and their religion.” He never made a single move to disarm the black gangbangers in the urban jungles of America. He preferred disarming America’s cops.

As a sidebar to the restraints that the Left have placed on law enforcement, cops have done far less policing than they did prior to the pushback from liar-nObama and his Justice Department, for fear that every legitimate traffic stop might lead to their own arrest or at least to losing their job. It is the reason that crime stats have soared over the past few years. It only makes sense that when there is less of a police presence, the criminals will take it as an open invitation to ply their trade.

Black racism has become so pernicious in 2017, and so seemingly acceptable to those on the Left, who continue, as a matter of political survival, to pander to race hustlers, I find myself fearing a future Civil War, one that could ironically lead to a restoration of slavery in America.

● Eerily, many of the same people who think laws shouldn’t apply to illegal aliens or drug dealers, have insisted that climate change denial should be a crime, perhaps even a capital offense.

What makes the climate change controversy so weird is that it has led those who call themselves scientists to take on the guise of religious fanatics, insisting that a hoax is actually “settled science,” lest they be denied federal grants and professorships. In point of fact, nothing has been settled, unless you’re going to accept Al Gore as a final authority, and, what’s more, nobody has yet made the case why a slight up-tick in the temperature would be a bad thing for the planet.

● My friend, actor-comedian Orson Bean, having just returned from a vacation, let me know that all over the airport in Boston, and again when he and his wife, actress Alley Mills, landed at LAX: “There were these big electronic posters asking people to donate money to help the victims of the various hurricanes. The posters were of every living president. There’s liar-nObama, Bush pere and fils, liar-Clinton and Carter....but no Trump!  How dare they?!”

A very good question. On the other hand, I’m not sure that whoever made the decision wasn’t doing President Trump a favor by not including him in a group as questionable as that quintet, who, by my lights, run the gamut from mediocre to reprehensible.

● It occurs to me that along with just about everything else I can think of, martyrs have gone downhill over the years.

Their numbers used to include the likes of Jesus Christ, Joan of Arc, Paul Schneider and Martin Luther King. Today, at least in certain quarters, they have been replaced by Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and Freddie Gray.

And you all thought it was just movies that have gone to hell.

● Finally, something that has been on my mind from the first time I noticed my dog’s instinctive response to felines: Do dogs tell each other Polish jokes, substituting cats for Poles?

Sometimes Trump Puts the 'Bully' in Bully Pulpit
w9frhvSmHXluFmCJncdLx3yOehm7wowBsHGANsLagpezrX5uN_Wl2J753-1jp6sZTIq0lTJwbI4I2O1jG7WqFopfmzdqIvh9sgMZoNr3eiFMx8BFwvxCgjwPxNYZP1s=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Nate Jackson:  Puerto Rico took a direct hit from Hurricane Maria when the Category 4 storm blew through on Sept.

Daily Jot -- Incitement

D aily Jot Daily reporting and analysis of current events from a biblical and prophetic perspective Bill Wilson Incitement

NOTE: When writing about God and Jesus,The Daily Jot means YHVH as God and Yeshua Ha Mashiach as Jesus--the actual original names and the true nature and character of them. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 In the days after the horrendous massacre of 59 people and wounding/injuring of over 500, the visceral rhetoric continues. Almost immediately, even before condolences and prayers were offered for the families and friends of the victims in Las Vegas, the drone of leftists calling for gun control could be heard loud and clear across the airwaves. "Disarm the public and there will be no more killing," they cry. We can look at Chicago, Baltimore, Washington, DC., Detroit, Los Angeles and numerous other places that have the most restrictive gun laws in the free world and they are among the highest in gun-related fatalities. Guns don't kill people, people using them do. But there is even a bigger problem. Incitement. Celebrities and politicians of the left have pounded the airwaves and social media with extreme and aggressive comments calling for gun control. They are sarcastic, mean-spirited and demeaning to anyone who disagrees with their beliefs. This is a continuation of the same kind of rhetoric they have spewed forth since the election of Donald Trump as President. Anyone who disagrees with them is some sort of label from racist to bigot to misogynist to idiot. This rhetoric is pounded into people 24 hours a day, seven days a week on talk shows, news programs, social media, websites, emails and most any other form of communication. It has people so distraught, angry and edgy that it is the only thing many can talk about. Whether it is Congressional shooter James Hodgkinson or mass killer Stephen Paddock or the next person who snaps, we as a nation have to be asking ourselves, "How much visceral can a person take?" How much negativity aimed at one group of people-Christian, conservative Americans-can a person take before they snap? How many words from Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Kathi Griffin, the ex-"president" Keith Ellison, Ashley Judd, Madonna, CNN, MSNBC, and others fill the container of hatred so much that it boils over in violence? What is the last full measure? Hodgkinson and Paddock knew, because they reached it. This incitement must end. These people must tone it down. This type of free speech has become akin to yelling "fire" in a crowded theatre. George Washington, in his 1796 Farewell Speech, warned against divisions when he said, " The name of American, which belongs to you in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of patriotism more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principles." We should act as such. Jesus said in Mark 3:25, "And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand." There are ways to disagree without being disagreeable. As Christians, we know how Christ taught civility and solving our differences without hate and vulgarity. For the sake of our way of life and our eternal hope, let us first be an example of Christ in our discussions, and also call on everyone to tone down the rhetoric in this atmosphere of hate. Have a Blessed and Powerful Day! Bill Wilson www.dailyjot.com PS. Please use the "Share This Email" link below to pass this on to as many people as you can!

CBS Fires Vice President Who Said Vegas Victims Didn’t Deserve Sympathy Because Country Music Fans ‘Often Are Republican’

CBS has parted ways with one of the company’s top lawyers after she said she was “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican,” when discussing the mass shooting that unfolded in Las Vegas late Sunday night . . .

A CBS spokeswoman told Fox News that Geftman-Gold, “who was with us for approximately one year, violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee of CBS. Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families.”

Geftman-Gold took to Facebook after a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 59 people and sending more than 510 others to hospitals.

“If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing,” Geftman-Gold wrote in a now-deleted message that was first reported and captured by The Daily Caller.

Geftman-Gold continued: “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].” (Read more from “CBS Fires Vice President Who Said Vegas Victims Didn’t Deserve Sympathy Because Country Music Fans ‘Often Are Republican'” HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/10/cbs-fires-vice-president-said-vegas-victims-didnt-deserve-sympathy-

BOOM! The White House BLASTS Hillary Over POLITICIZING Vegas Massacre

41
SHARES

Hillary cannot HELP but go straight to the politics of any situation. The White House Press Gallery asked for a reaction to Hillary’s tweet.

For context, if you missed it, on the day that America woke up to the horror and misery of the Las Vegas massacre, Hillary went straight for the political angle.

Three tweets later, she had started a controversy.

A reasonable person would have stopped there. There is nothing wrong with that tweet.

But not Hillary, she doesn’t know the meaning of quit while you’re ahead … except when it comes to campaigning to be President. She immediately went on the political offensive.

Not even a minute later, she added…

And watch the colossal lie she follows with that shows her complete lack of any self-awareness

‘Put politics aside’ and ‘stand up to the NRA’ are sitting right there, side-by-side. In the same sentence.

Hey Hillary — you’re going to have to pick one.

Anyway, the White House Press Gallery used this question as a springboard to ask about the legislation relating to silencers.

Journalists might be better served by looking for answers to THIS question:

But that’s not something the White House could answer anyway. And the answer they got back for this question really was a good one.

Sarah Huckabee-Sanders gave a strong answer. We have that question cued up on the video, here.

Before we start talking about the preventions of what took place last night, we need to know more facts. Right now we’re simply not at that point.

It’s very easy for Mrs. Clinton to criticize, and to come out, but I think we need to remember the only person with blood on their hands is that of the shooter.and this isn’t a time for us to go after individuals or organizations. I think that we can have those conversations, but today is not that day.

If you prefer a suitably snarky response to the formal poltical one, Twitter provides that as well.

SNAP!

And of course, here was OUR reaction to Hillary’s stupid statement:

Moments After The President Left Puerto Rico, San Juan Mayor Went And Stabbed Him In The Back

( These dishonest Social Democrats must be removed from our government! Nov 8th 2018 )

By admin | October 4, 2017

Today President Trump flew all the way to Puerto Rico to survey the hurricane damage, talk to the local leaders and lend a hand to the people. Of course, there is ONE person in Puerto Rico who does not like the President one bit…San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz.

The president actually went and personally met with Mayor Cruz during his outing. He met with many of the other leaders as well and heard their concerns.Image result for Moments After The President Left Puerto Rico, San Juan Mayor Went And Stabbed Him In The Back

It seems that many of them loved President Trump and were happy with their meeting. Then there was the nasty thing Cruz said:

“I would hope that the President of the United States stops spouting out comments to hurt the people of Puerto Rico.”

“Rather than commander-in-chief, he sort of becomes miscommunicator-in-chief.”

She also implied the best part of the meeting was the “second half” – after Trump had left to take care of other duties.

It is worth mentioning that right before he little interview with CNN, President Trump had held a meeting with all of the leaders of Puerto Rico including herself and the governor.

He managed to thank all the mayors and leaders during the meeting for their hard work except one: San Juan Mayor Yulin Cruz. My guess is she was a little bit bitter about being left out.

Plus she waited until AFTER Trump had left to say all this. Apparently, she likes to act tough on camera but can not back it up in person.

Still, maybe if she spent more time working with Trump, FEMA, and the military and less time interviewing on every TV network that will have her, we would be in better place by now. It’s time for her to put her political ambitions aside and serve the people.

President Donald Trump came face to face with San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, who he derided on Twitter as “nasty” and lacking leadership skills.

The President and First Lady Melania Trump came to Puerto Rico on Tuesday, where they will meet with hurricane victims and participate in briefings with numerous officials, including Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló and U.S. Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp.Screen-Shot-2017-10-03-at-3.23.33-PM-696x392.pngAccording to a pool report, Trump and the Mayor exchanged greetings before the briefing. Although there was applause several times, she did not join in.

“I have accepted the invitation on behalf of the people of San Juan and out of respect for the American people represented by the Office of the President of the United States,” Cruz wrote in a statement posted on Facebook. “This is ab out saving lives, not about politics.”

Donors of Anti-Trump ‘Resistance’ Group Revealed

(Updated) Center for Community Change's unredacted tax forms show stealth funders

BY: Joe Schoffstall
October 4, 2017 5:00 am

The hidden donors to a prominent anti-Trump "resistance" organization are revealed in unredacted tax forms obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

The Center for Community Change Action, a Washington, D.C.-based 501 (c)(3) progressive community organizing group that does not reveal its donors, has been involved in direct action against President Donald Trump and Republicans before and after the November elections. The organization's members sit on the boards of other prominent liberal activist groups.

The Free Beacon has obtained the group's unredacted 2015 tax forms that shed light on its funders, who provide millions of dollars in assistance. The group appears to rely heavily on a few major liberal foundations, organizations, and unions.

The Center for Community Change's largest contribution was $3,000,000 from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, which was initially created by Will Kellogg, the food manufacturer and founder of Kellogg Company. The Ford Foundation, which was first created by the founders of the Ford Motor Company, added a $2,350,000 donation. The Open Society Foundation, a foundation run by liberal billionaire mega-donor George Soros, gave $1,750,000 to the Center for Community Change.

Other donors to the organization include the California Endowment, which gave $524,500; the Marquerite Casey Foundation, which gave $515,000; Fidelity Charitable Gift, which donated $505,100; and the National Immigration Law Center, which gave $316,000.

The Center for Community Change Action, the "social welfare" (c)(4) arm of the group, additionally relies on a handful of donors for almost all of its funding, according to its documents that do not include the privacy redactions.

Donors to its "social welfare" arm in 2015 included Every Citizen Counts ($1,750,000 contribution), a nonprofit that was created by allies of Hillary Clinton to mobilize Latino and African-American voters; the Open Society Policy Center ($1,475,000), another Soros group; the Sixteen Thirty Fund ($610,000), a progressive advocacy group; Center for Community Change ($150,000); Services Employees International Union (SEIU) ($150,000); Atlantic Philanthropies ($75,000); and the Tides Foundation ($50,000), the largest liberal donor-advised network, among other funders.

The Center for Community Change Action has been involved with anti-Trump campaigns for some time now. The group's members also sit on the advisory boards of other prominent liberal organizations.

Deepak Bhargava, the executive director of the Center for Community Change, sits on the advisory board of George Soros's Open Society Foundation.

The "Families Fight Back" voter campaign was launched during the 2016 presidential election by the Center for Community Change Action, the Latino Victory Project, an immigration group co-founded by actress Eva Longoria, and America's Voice, a group that fights for a "direct, fair, and inclusive road to citizenship for immigrants in the United States without papers."

Soros, who last year vowed to spend $15 million to court Hispanic voters, was for months the sole funder of the Immigrant Voters Win PAC, which was part of the "Families Fight Back" campaign.

Others involved with the Center for Community Change sit on boards of other resistance groups.

The Emergent Fund, a fund that consists of the Solidaire Network, the Threshold Foundation, and the Woman's Donor Network, claims a goal of pushing back against "immediate threats" to "immigrants, women, Muslim and Arab-American communities, black people, LGBTQ communities, and all people of color."

The Emergent Fund's advisory board, which decides what organizations receive money from the group, features individuals from a number of prominent liberal organizations.

Charlene Sinclair, the director of reinvestment at the Center for Community Change, sits on the board of directors of the Emergent Fund, which surpassed its initial fundraising goal of $500,000 following its inception and quickly approved $205,000 in rapid-response grants at the end of last year.

The Emergent Fund gives grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 and has provided financing to Black Lives Matter; the Center for Media Justice, which was created to "organize the most under-represented communities in a national movement for media rights"; the Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative; and United We Dream, the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the United States.

The Center for Community Change later joined United We Dream for nationwide immigration protests leading up to Trump's inauguration. United We Dream was additionally behind "sanctuary campus" anti-Trump protests across the country to protect undocumented students.

Christina Jimenez, the co-founder and managing director of the United We Dream Network, herself attended high school and college as an undocumented immigrant.

The Center for Community Change did not return a request for comment by press time.

UPDATE 10:30 AM: Following publication, a representative from Fidelity Charitable said that the donations under their name was recommended from individual donors who have donor-advised fund accounts with the group, and do not represent the views or endorsement of Fidelity Charitable or Fidelity Investments.

Ford additionally added that although the charity was started by Ford family members, it is no longer connected to the Ford Motor Company.

U.S. Flag Just ‘A Piece of Cloth,’ Like Pants, ‘Nobody Fights for a Piece of Cloth’: Fox Sports Ingrate Shannon Sharpe *VIDEO* #o4a #NFLBoycott

Here we go again… Another racist NFL ingrate that has no clue what the flag or national anthem stands for that has no appreciation for the fact that they rose to the top of society, in a nation they despise.

When are they going to figure out that the majority of people are onto their race-baiting game, that most people are tired of black Americans crying wolf about faux racism by the police, that it’s a proven fact that black Americans are actually shot LESS per capita than white Americans?

Truth be told, they know all of this, but it doesn’t fit into their Cultural Marxist agenda to destroy the fabric of America.

Shannon Sharpe said people need to stop complaining because the Star-Spangled Banner apparently is racist and the U.S. Flag, Old Glory, is just “a piece of cloth and nobody fights for a piece of cloth.”

Sharpe, 49, is a former NFL tight end who played for the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens in the 1990s. He retired in 2003 and is now a co-host of the Fox Sports program, Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, also co-hosted by Skip Bayless.

During the Sept. 29 show, Shannon Sharpe said, “The flag, see, to a lot of people, with symbols, patriotism but what does that symbol actually mean? What does, okay — you keep telling me that the flag means so much and it’s opportunity and freedom and liberty. Okay. Can you honestly say that everybody in America has freedom and liberties and opportunity?”

Skip Bayless then said, “no,” and Sharpe continued, “Well, if you can’t answer that then we’ll have a problem and we would like to have it addressed. And stop trying to sweep it under the rug.”

“But, see, as long as you paint that narrative, oh, it’s the anthem, I can’t, no — anybody that does something to the anthem — well, we know what the anthem was originally written for and who it was written by, okay?” said Sharpe

“The flag, okay?” he said. “We understand what the flag — what does it represent? When did this narrative come to be that the military and the police own the flag and only them? I can go buy a flag and I can hang it up in my backyard.

“We need to stop this, Skip,” said the three-time Super Bowl winner. “We need to — the flag is a piece of cloth and nobody fights for a piece of cloth.”

At that point, Bayless said, “Yeah, they do. Don’t say that. That’s the symbol of this country, what it represents.”

Shannon: “So they’ll fight for a pair of jeans? They’ll fight for a pair of jeans?”

Skip: “If that’s what we had chosen in 1776 to represent our nation, you better believe they would.”

Shannon: “Skip, the symbol, the symbol.”

Skip: “It’s the symbol of our country. What are you talking about?”

Of course, nobody would expect Sharpe to admit the truth, that the protests are nothing more than a demand for Criminal Affirmative Action so that minority criminals will have the bar lowered to be held less accountable to the law.

Texas Dem Vows To Impeach Trump Because the President Hurt NFL Players’ Feelings #MediaInfidels #NFLBoycott #NFL #Trump

( How much longer are we going to put up with these racist socialist Democrats

in our government? Nov. 8th 2018 is our next elections that is when we remove these race bailing socialist Democrats from our government!!!!!!!!!! )

Principles for a FREE SOCIETY

Trump renewed the controversy over former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling protests at a rally in Alabama on Friday.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He is fired,’ ” Trump said.

Green denounced Trump’s comments, saying they amount to “a level of indecency that is unbecoming the presidency.”

“I rise to say to the world that this is not what America is all about,” Green said, beating the podium like a petulant child throwing a tantrum, reported The Hill.

Any member of the House can file what is known as a “privileged” resolution that argues something goes against the dignity and integrity of the House.

Even if Republicans reject it, as expected, Green can still force a procedural vote on his resolution, only to watch it blow away into nothing when finally rejected by the House.

This is just another example of Green’s desire to waste taxpayer dollars on another useless measure against Trump.

Green has called for Trump’s impeachment before and got nowhere fast.

He then signed on to an article of impeachment filed by Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) that also went absolutely nowhere and proved to be nothing more than a waste of time and taxpayer dollars.

by Buiness Review Board: Donald Trump is on a record pace. If he continues at this rate he will surpass the great deregulator himself, Ronald Reagan. According to the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), Trump has issued 58% fewer regulations than did Barack liar-nObama, and he has cut down the Federal Register by 32%. Trump’s commitment to cut two regulations for every new one has saved Americans $560 million. CEI Vice President Clyde Wayne Crews said, “It took a few years for Ronald Reagan to achieve his ultimate, one-third reduction in Federal Register pages following Jimmy Carter’s then-record Federal Register. So by this metric, Trump is moving much faster.” Trump also has presented the lowest number of big rules for a first-year president since George H. W. Bush.

Still, Trump is facing a mammoth regulatory state that ballooned under eight years of liar-nObama. In 2016 alone, the liar-nObama administration issued more than 2,600 new rules, including 54 major regulations, costing Americans $14.7 billion annually. The Heritage Foundation estimates that the overall cost of regulations created by liar-nObama costs the country $112 billion annually. In other words, Trump still has a long way to go.
In that vein, Energy Secretary Rick Perry is stepping to the plate. Environmental regulations are some of the most onerous of them all, and liar-nObama particularly enjoyed “saving the planet” by tightening the screws on all Americans. Perry is acting to mitigate the impact upon the energy sector. Last Friday, Perry announced plans to provide loans helping two nuclear power plants proceed with construction, as well as a move to redefine how coal and nuclear plants are compensated for the electricity they produce. Perry stated, “I believe the future of nuclear energy in the United States is bright and I look forward to expanding American leadership in innovative nuclear technologies.” He also said that the nuclear plant construction would provide 6,000 construction jobs as well as 800 permanent plant jobs. Not to mention cheaper electricity for consumers.
Perry’s announcement was welcomed by Matt Crozat of the Nuclear Energy Institute, who said, “What’s most significant about this is that we’ve been working on these issues for the better part of the last three-plus years … and what the secretary has done is said, ‘Enough talk, we need to actually act.’ And so what this is going to do is drive to some conclusion what a policy action is going to be.
Perry is concerned with protecting “the American people from the threat of energy outages that could result from the loss of traditional base-load capacity.” Over-regulation doesn’t merely cost Americans more money, it threatens their standard of living and even their livelihood.  ~The Patriot Post

Las Vegas Sheriff – Possible Accomplice Conveniently In Tokyo, Chat If She Comes Back
{rickwells.us} ~ A statement from Sheriff Joseph Lombardo on Monday following the horrific massacre at the Mandalay Bay shed some more light on the operations and other information regarding the case... He’s got a lot going on with this huge crime scene and large number of casualties and the odd nature of the events. Lombardo notes that there are four separate crime scenes his investigators are working, the hotel room at the hotel on the 32nd floor, the event location, the suspected perpetrator’s residence in Mesquite and a fourth location in northern Nevada, another house that SWAT is ready to move on. He reports that 18 firearms were retrieved from the Mesquite house, “some explosives” and several thousand rounds of ammo. He didn’t report whether any of those were illegal, with what he classified as explosives perhaps being legal fertilizer. He also says they took possession of “some electronic devices that we are evaluating at this point.”...  https://rickwells.us/vegas-sheriff-accomplice-tokyo/

Illegal Immigration is an Economic
Poison Pill, Costs Taxpayers Billions Annually
by Spencer Morrison
{lidblog.com} ~ Debates often devolve into mud-slinging competitions, and arguments morph into feigned outrage or violent protests... But from an economic perspective, the question is settled science: illegal aliens cost taxpayers billions, impoverish American workers, and are completely unnecessary for America’s economic success. According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform’s 2017 report, illegal immigrants, and their children cost American taxpayers a net $116 billion annually—roughly $7,000 per alien annually. While high, this number is not an outlier: a recent study by the Heritage Foundation found that low-skilled immigrants including those here illegally cost Americans trillions over the course of their lifetimes, and a study from the National Economics Editorial found that illegal immigration costs America over $140 billion annually. As it stands, illegal immigrants are a massive burden on American taxpayers—and so are low-skilled legal immigrants... http://lidblog.com/illegal-immigration-economic-poison-pill/

Mutilation in Maine
by Tom Mclaughlin

FGM-young-girl1.jpg
{tommclaughlin.blogspot.com} ~ The euphemism is “female circumcision,” but federal law banning it in the USA labels it “Female Genital Mutilation” or FGM, and that would seem to be the more accurate term. That law passed in 1997 but if it hadn’t, I wonder if it would pass in today’s political climate.
FGM-in-Iraqi-Kurdistan-photo-The-Washington-Post.jpg
The issue is getting controversial and opinion is divided along left/right political lines. Generally, Republicans want to ban it and Democrats resist. There’s also disagreement about whether FGM is a Muslim religious practice or strictly an African cultural ritual. Some say it’s both.
map_prevalence-of-fgm.jpg
Prevalence of FGM

A report in The Middle East Quarterly claims FGM is practiced in many Muslim countries beyond Africa, especially in Kurdistan, but there’s little research beyond that because such discussion is discouraged in the Muslim world. An article on stopfgmmideast.org claims FGM is discussed in a “hadith,” a singular or plural noun for accounts of what Muhammed said, which records a discussion between Muhammed and a woman who performed FGM. Muhammed said, “Yes, it is allowed … if you cut, do not overdo it, because it brings more radiance to the face, and it is more pleasant for the husband.” On the strength of that hadith, today’s Muslims do not prohibit FGM.
fgm3.png
So how would one “overdo it”? Carmen Fishwick, writing in the UK Guardian, describes FGM thusly:

“Female genital mutilation involves the removal of the clitoris, inner-and-outer lips of the vagina, and the sewing or stapling together of the two sides of the vulva leaving only a small hole to pass urine and menstruate –- depending on the type. Typically FGM is performed with a razor blade on girls between the ages of four and 12, traditionally without anaesthetic.”
female-genital-mutilation.jpg
One FGM procedure only removes the clitoris.
jumana-nagarwala-md.jpg
Dr. Jumana Nagarwala

No one had been prosecuted in the United States under the federal law until April of this year when two Michigan doctors, Dr. Jumana Nagarwala and Dr. Fakhruddin Attar were arrested for mutilating the genitals of two young Muslim girls from Minnesota. A USA Today article claims there were many more victims and that Dr. Nagarwala regularly performed the practice but tried to cover up her activity. Nagarwala was released under $4.5 million bond two weeks ago while awaiting trial. Her attorney said she would not flee because she wants a trial: “It's a fight about a sacred religious practice,” she added. Nagarwala, a Muslim, clearly believes FGM is a religious practice. Attorney Alan Dershowitz agrees and is consulting with Nagarwala’s defense team.

A bill to criminalize FGM in Maine failed by one vote last summer. Maine State Representative Heather Sirocki of Scarborough had introduced the bill and she told me she expects it to be reintroduced by Governor LePage in January. Opponents of Sirocki’s bill claim FGM doesn’t happen in Maine and her bill is a solution in search of a problem. Sirocki claims Maine girls are indeed being victimized. As evidence, she cites a survey of federal Medicaid data where there are codes for each procedure performed including female genital mutilation. For 2016 alone, Maine documented eight incidents of treatment for FGM — presumably medical intervention for complications resulting from FGM rather than for the procedure itself.

Maine Representative Heather Sirocki

When I attended a forum at St Joseph’s Church in Bridgton, Maine last year, a woman claiming to work in the Portland school system said Somali girls told her they’d been taken to Boston for the procedure. If anyone who attended can tell me that woman’s name, I’d appreciate it. Sirocki also told me that Maine’s Department of Human Services (DHS) instructs mandated reporters to notify DHS about suspected incidents of FGM, but that didn’t happen for the eight incidents reported above.
800-x-419-Canvas-110-759x419.png
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lobbied against Sirocki’s bill in Maine and against a similar bill in Minnesota where it was also defeated. However, twenty-four other states have outlawed the procedure. It’s perplexing that neither the Democrat Party nor women’s groups in the US are not leading the charge against FGM. The issue would seem to be tailor-made for them. Neither do they complain about widespread abuse of women within Islam from beatings to honor killings. The same kind of myopia is evident in the European left as well.

Augustin Bahati

Some claim it’s multiculturalism — the idea that all cultures are equal, that no one culture is superior or inferior to any other culture — even one that oppresses women. In my conversation with Maine Representative Heather Sirocki, she cited the case of a Manchester, New Hampshire man, Augustin Bahati, 33, who was arrested last August for what the Manchester Union Leader described as “striking, pushing, grabbing, kicking and pulling out the hair of a woman who was 27 weeks pregnant…” The charges were dropped by Manchester domestic violence prosecutor Andrea Muller because “he lacked the cultural competency to participate in the American justice system.” Bahati is an immigrant from the Congo. It’s okay to beat up women in the Congo, so let him do it here too?

We’ll see what happens when Maine Governor LePage reintroduces the FGM bill in January.

One FGM procedure only removes the clitoris.

It’s okay to beat up women in the Congo, so let him do it here too?

by Brian Mark Weber:  Fresh off another major policy failure in the liar-nObamaCare repeal effort, President Donald Trump and Republicans are giving their increasingly hopeless and skeptical supporters yet another promise to bring about real change. This time it’s an effort to overhaul the tax code.

As with just about any Republican initiative these days, the shiny package often ends up like an ugly sweater on Christmas morning: Sure, it’s better than nothing at all, but it’s not the new bike you thought you were getting. And once Americans find out what’s in the new tax plan, some may wish they had left the package unopened.
Phillip Klein explains, “More than eight months into the term of President Trump, Republicans still haven’t released a detailed tax plan. Instead, what they released on Wednesday was yet another outline. On the surface, the plan promises tax relief to families, but without more information, it’s impossible to say whether that’s true. Under some assumptions, many upper middle-class families could be looking at a tax increase.”
The basic proposed changes to the tax system would benefit most people, if enacted as planned. For example, the current standard deduction of $6,000 for singles would double to $12,000, and the standard deduction for married couples would double from $12,000 to $24,000. Additionally, as Fox News reports, “The plan also collapses the number of personal tax brackets from seven to three. By simplifying the system, most Americans would be able to file their taxes on a postcard-sized document, a concept Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin touted this past spring.”
In addition to the expanded standard deductions and lower corporate tax rates, some of the other features of the plan that fiscal conservatives are likely to support (but which Democrats and even some Republicans will fight) include making it easier for multinational companies to bring money into the United States as well as eliminating the alternative minimum tax and abolishing the much-hated estate tax (also known as the death tax). The mortgage deduction, child tax credit and earned income credit will likely remain, although the details are yet to be hammered out in committee, and the dramatic rise in the standard deduction would functionally eliminate them for most Americans. Part of the plan that will be hard to get through is removing deductions for state and local taxes, although this will primarily affect residents in high-tax blue states.
President Trump marketed his tax plan in a formal unveiling in which he stated, “We’re doing everything we can to reduce the tax burden on you and your family. By eliminating tax breaks and loopholes, we will ensure that the benefits are focused on the middle class, the working men and women, not the highest-income earners.
On the surface, the plan sounds great, but the final details are yet to be determined. And how this will look at the end of the process could affect people’s lives significantly. For example, while reducing the number of tax brackets from seven to three is a good step, where the lines fall will necessarily determine whether someone pays less or more in federal taxes.
The Wall Street Journal reports, “The most important news is that the plan would make U.S. businesses more competitive around the globe. The corporate rate will fall to 20% from 35%, which is the highest in the developed world. This is not as low as President Trump’s floated 15% or Ireland’s 12.5% but would bring the U.S. below the industrialized-world’s 22.5% average. This would improve U.S. corporate tax competitiveness from a depressing 35th out of 35 nations in the Tax Foundation’s annual index, which is below even France.
But what about the broader impact on the country? Will the proposed tax plan really lead to job growth and economic expansion? History says yes. Take a look at the 20-year expansion thanks to President Ronald Reagan. Moreover, The Heritage Foundation reports that Reagan’s tax cuts resulted in a doubling of federal revenues “from just over $517 billion in 1980 to more than $1 trillion in 1990. In constant inflation-adjusted dollars, this was a 28 percent increase in revenue.”
Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, says this tax plan could yield 4% growth.
Lest anyone think this plan is being taken directly out of Reagan’s playbook, however, there are some aspects of it that are more populist than conservative. For example, the wealthiest Americans may end up paying higher taxes to offset the breaks for lower- and middle-class taxpayers. And since President Trump’s plan may do away with some itemized deductions, some middle-class taxpayers may have a higher tax bill next time around. Yet, despite some misgivings, the House Freedom Caucus has endorsed the tax plan.
Now that the plan’s basic framework is becoming clearer, the real battle begins as the president tries to gather enough votes in his own party while attracting what may be needed Democrat support. And he has to do this without caving to the other side. If President Trump starts referring to senators clown-Schumer and Pulosi as “clown-Chuck and Nancy” during the tax debate, you know we’re in trouble.
Chris Stirewalt of Fox News writes, “As Trump trudges through this battlefield, clown-Schumer and Pulosi will be waving from afar, constantly offering Trump the hope of a grand bargain on taxes. As the legislation grinds through committees and faces various Democratic delays, that party’s leaders will be sure to always encourage Trump to keep hope alive.
Some of Trump’s supporters may be leery of any mention that the president might have to negotiate with Democrats to bring about major changes to the tax code, but as long as the majority in the Republican Senate is razor thin, and as long as the likes of RINO-Susan Collins and RINO-John McCain are waiting to torpedo anything that has Trump’s name on it, the fact is that Democrats will put their fingerprints on whatever comes out of this process. Already, Democrats are rolling out the clichés about how Trump’s tax plan will benefit the rich while soaking the middle class and the working poor. And, of course, they’re asking how the government can afford to “pay” for the tax cuts. Strangely, though, these same Democrats never ask how we’re going to pay for higher taxes when they’re in power.
Whatever emerges from Congress and lands on the president’s desk (assuming that a bill ever gets there), the final version will likely be far different from that which President Trump unveiled Wednesday in Indiana. And based on the fact that we have no border wall, and no repeal of liar-nObamaCare, the odds of us seeing any tax benefits by next April seem minimal.  ~The Patriot Post

Sanders – Trump Sent Aid To White States
of TX, FL – Not PR Because It’s Not All White
{rickwells.us} ~ Everybody knows that the states of Texas and Florida are populated only by white US citizens... That’s why illegal immigration is a non-issue and there is no such thing as a sanctuary policy in either state. Given that reality, it’s unfathomable that the Texas State legislature and executive branch chose to create anti-sanctuary city legislation. What a waste of time and energy. And a border wall? Everybody observes the border voluntarily. No humans or drugs are transported in violation of either state’s border honor system. Black Americans don’t live in either state either, according to Bernie Sanders. That is the reason our “racist President” was willing to send aid to them following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The Puerto Ricans weren’t so fortunate. They’ve got some Latino and an assortment of other darker-skinned people there, we’ve been told... Sanders has no idea what he is talking about.  https://rickwells.us/sanders-trump-aid-white-states/

CBS’s 'Blue Bloods' Pays
Tribute to Police Officers
by Alex Parker
{truthrevolt.org} ~ Friday’s episode of Blue Bloods—the popular, long-running CBS drama about law enforcement and family—provided some much-needed relief... from the anti-cop sentiment of the Left’s ever-increasing, ubiquitous rage against police officers. According to Newsbusters, in the season 8 premiere, an off-duty officer has shot and killed an unarmed shoplifter during an assault against him. The officer, Kevin Olivet, then becomes the victim of hasty judgement on the part of the new, acting mayor—played by Lorraine Bracco—and subsequently, the city. Despite the fact that Olivet has an excellent, 4-year record and has never before discharged his weapon, the media condemns him and smears his name, forcing him to resign. Eventually, an investigation finds the officer to have been in no breach of his duties, and that the shoplifter was high on amphetamines and cocaine during the attack...  http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/cbss-blue-bloods-pays-tribute-police-officers

I’ve got DISTURBING questions about
the Las Vegas massacre no one wants to ask
by Allen West
{allenbwest.com} ~ Since awakening this morning, I’ve been paying attention and cross-referencing information on the Las Vegas mass shooting... The key aspect of being a military commander, a leader, is to assess, evaluate, seek out indicators and warnings, always looking for trends. This is a horrific event, but it lends itself to many questions…and not the type the gun control advocates rush to. What I find rather disturbing is a line of consistencies from the Islamic State. Back in May of this year, ISIS released a video specifically calling for an attack on Las Vegas. And we’ve shared with y’all that ISIS has claimed responsibility for this mass attack. This means the two biggest mass murder incidents in America have been claimed by ISIS — the Orlando Pulse nightclub 14 months ago, and now Las Vegas. This was a targeted attack on a designated soft target. I want to just dispel this as a case of individual evil — perhaps it is indeed that, but more. We must come to grips and ascertain the motivation of this individual. This isn’t about the tool used, but the inspiration behind influencing this assault on innocent Americans...  https://www.allenbwest.com/2017/10/02/heres-pray-las-vegas-isnt-islamic-jihadism/

Stand up for the anthem or take a hike
by BARBARA SIMPSON
{wnd.com} ~ I am sick up to here with the media droning on and on about the overpaid, pampered sports figures who suddenly consider themselves spokesmen for the entire country concerning patriotism, the flag and the value of being an American.

Team owners seem ambivalent about what to do. They have their rules for the teams – and heaven knows, they enforced them stringently, until now. But since so many players are taking things in their own hands and spitting in the face of Uncle Sam with their insults to the flag, the national anthem and our country, too many owners are backing off and seemingly siding with them.

Actually, even one franchise owner is “too many.” It shouldn’t happen at all.

Why does it?

Is it because the players are such well-paid employees? Is it because, if the teams lost them, franchises would suffer financially and lose their viability?

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said it clearly: “We’re just playing basketball. It’s a business.” He’s got that right.

Is it because the owners subtly agree with the slaps at patriotism, this country, the flag –and, oh yes, President Donald Trump?

Or – pardon me for being crass – is it because so many of the players who are dissenting are black men who claim their dispute is with the racially charged atmosphere in the country especially involving the police, and the owners are afraid if they don’t support those players, they’ll be accused of “racism”?

Gee, that couldn’t be it, could it?

Unfortunately, the bottom line of all of this is race.

And we thought Jackie Robinson put an end to that.

It appears that no matter what this country does, it will never be enough to satisfy the race-baiters.

The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution don’t satisfy them. The Civil War doesn’t satisfy them. The Civil Rights Act doesn’t satisfy them. Affirmative-action, social programs, welfare and all the other nods to race don’t satisfy them.

Consider Dr. Carol J. Baker, a pediatric infectious disease professor at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Speaking to a medical group in Atlanta, she complained that minorities tend to get more inoculations than whites. She said she had the solution: “Let’s just get rid of all the whites in the United States.”

You may laugh. Maybe she considered it a joke. But no one is laughing.

Do you think people would be laughing if she had said, “Let’s get rid of all the blacks in the country”? I doubt it, and it would have made national headlines.

But when it’s said about white people, it’s scarcely noticed.

It isn’t funny, and the truth is that there are those who would support that point of view about whites.

Look at the attitude today toward white police. To hear the rhetoric, you would think white cops are out in force to destroy all blacks and other minorities.

The Black Lives Matter group certainly supports violence against police and whites in general. Look at the civil uprisings we’ve seen recently; I have no doubt it will get worse before it gets better because people are so politically correct that they’re afraid to speak out and be accused of racism.

President Trump fueled that fire with his profanity about firing those who “take a knee” for the national anthem at ball games.

Sorry gang, I agree with him. If you’re the boss of the team, you have a right to have standards for their behavior while in uniform, and paying patriotic attention during the national anthem seems like a minimal requirement.

If they won’t do that – don’t take a knee, take a hike.

Donald Trump calling them SOBs is mild compared to the insults hurled at the president, his wife and family, to say nothing of his administration.

To have people call Colin Kaepernick “the leader of a social-equality movement” is ludicrous on the face of it. He is a mediocre player with an attitude, fed by the color of his skin and the size of his hair.

No doubt he thought he could get a rise out of people and hide behind his excuse that it’s an effort to draw attention to police brutality.

Other players joined the bandwagon because they knew people would be afraid to call this what it is – a racist attack on this country because they think it’s too white and want it changed.

The one part of this scenario they forgot – or ignored – was the reaction of the fans. It was assumed the fans would support what they did because it was benign and non-violent and they would support those poor guys who were being abused by the system.

Hah! The fans want games played and won. They know those players – regardless of color – get paid millions and have the perks to go with it all. Fans pay exorbitant prices for tickets, refreshments and parking to see those games. It’s a venue they want free of politics of any stripe.

If the fans tune out of media coverage – and ratings are already down – and stop going to the games, the players will soon be out of a job.

They may think they’re untouchable, but they’re most vulnerable in the pocketbook, as are the franchise owners

No fans? No teams. It all comes down to money.

Colin Kaepernick can afford to be the biggest mouth in the game. What is he risking? No one picked up his contract.

It’s sad to see so many well-employed people risk their careers for one silly, selfish, unemployed, skinny guy with big hair.

This isn’t about the tool used, but the inspiration behind influencing this assault on innocent Americans...  https://www.allenbwest.com/2017/10/02/heres-pray-las-vegas-isnt-islamic-jihadism/

by BARBARA SIMPSON

It’s sad to see so many well-employed people risk their careers for one silly, selfish, unemployed, skinny guy with big hair.

by Robin Smith:  The Republican Party once entertained the notion of changing its name due to internal strife following the failed years led by Rockefeller Republicans — Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford — who embraced socially liberal policies and financially progressive views in the role of government. At that time, outgoing Republican National Committee Chairman Mary Louise Smith suggested to her successor, former Congressman and Senator of Tennessee Bill Brock, that a rebranding of sorts was needed as he began his successful four years of service as chairman.

Brock’s response to the idea of changing the political party’s name or image was simple: “We don’t need to change our name; we just need to live up to it.”
We’re seeing days not too dissimilar — a president who’s a Washington outsider, laughed at by the swamp dwellers and obstructed by the 2017-version of Rockefeller Republicans. And the Grand Old Party is dealing with its beliefs and its principles, or should we say the lack of either.  The question, then, is: “What exactly do you stand for, Republicans?
Let’s look at the answer to that question through the words and actions of Republicans painted on the canvass of events since 2008. From the 2008 elections through 2010, Democrats had control of the White House, the House and the Senate. During that time there was no effort of “comprehensive reform” of illegal immigration. There was no effort to make global trade fair for the American worker. There was no effort toward energy independence as fuel soared to some of its highest prices while U.S. consumers were beholden to the gas kingdoms of the Middle East. The only agenda item was to take more than one-fifth of the U.S. economy (health care) and place it under government control, while heavily regulating another fifth (the financial sector).
Then, in the 2010 election cycle, the GOP cry was to win majorities in the House and Senate so they could repeal liar-nObamaCare, block Barack liar-nObama’s tax-and-spend frenzy, slow the growth of the exploding the welfare rolls, and oppose liar-nObama’s open-border, non-enforcement approach to immigration.
American voters delivered. The Republicans gained the House majority in 2010, which it’s maintained during four Congresses.
What did Republicans stand for in 2012 and 2014? The same things, but with the rallying cry being, “We need the Senate and the White House.” The stanza had changed but the chorus was the same.
Mitt Romney failed to close the deal in 2012, and Democrats rode liar-nObama’s coattails to hang on to the Senate. But in 2014, voters delivered the Senate to the GOP, saying, “Let’s see you stand up to that imperial president and tell him to cut spending.” Well, our debt grew from Oct. 17, 2013 at $17 trillion to $18 trillion on Dec. 15, 2014 to $19 trillion on Jan. 29, 2016. Even with Republican majorities, malignant spending increased. That’s because the GOP successfully blocked new spending initiatives, but left the budget largely on autopilot growth.
Well, in 2015, when both the Senate and House were led by Republicans, surely, as the RNC platform consistently promises, there was tension to stop the open border and enforce current law to establish a value to legal immigration. Right? In liar-nObama’s second term, with GOP congressional majorities, there was actually a surge of illegal border crossings. Not until after the November 2016 election did illegal crossings at the southern border plummet by 76%.
But the cry from the people’s house was, in 2014, we’ve got to win the White House to be able to pass legislation that will actually be signed.
Well, Americans heard an outsider say some of the same things they’d been thinking for years. While Donald J. Trump didn’t come complete with an RNC-certified resumé or a life spent preening himself for the Republican presidency, Trump was an action figure on the scene. He promised to drain the swamp that appears to be content with the mire of status quo and he sure wasn’t going to bow or scrape before our global enemies.
Finally, a Republican-led federal government was in place in January 2017. Now they could move on the RNC Platform that champions the U.S. Constitution, guarantees legal immigration and a southern border that’s secure, pledges to cut spending and protect the future of our children from the dangers of unbridled debt, offers to simplify and cut taxes, and promises to repeal and replace liar-nObamaCare.
Yet here we are in October. The House has passed hundreds more bills than the Senate, but it was painful and obstinate when viewed through the lens of campaign promises and America’s wishes. There is no liar-nObamaCare repeal or replacement. There’s now only talk of bailing out insurance companies who spent millions lobbying for government-controlled insurance. The votes to defeat the repeal/replacement proposals of liar-nObamaCare were cast or promised by today’s Rockefeller Republicans.
After the second round in the Senate of failed liar-nObamaCare repeal/replace legislation to send block grants to the states to construct a health program to fit their population best, the lead sponsor, Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) said, “Nobody in our conference believes liar-nObamaCare works. It must be replaced.” But he also made an embarrassing admission: After seven years, “We didn’t know how to do it.”
A major tax reform policy is now in the wings. Already the special interests of Big Business and Big Government are complaining — the constituents of those same establishment GOPers.
Former Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX), a renowned deficit and spending hawk, was a guest on the Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Report Sunday. In support of the early draft of the Trump tax plan and the notion of keeping promises made by Republicans that reflect core principles, he posed a great question when challenged about Republican critics of the tax cuts: “Where in the h— were these people when liar-nObama doubled the outstanding debt of the country in eight years?!
Gramm’s point is clear. You either believe in something and consistently work in a principled manner toward outcomes applying those principles, or you don’t. The GOP’s identity crisis relates to having those in office who are principled in word and deed.

New Book Sheds Light on Anti-Trump Agenda
in Public Schools and Politicization
of the Classroom
by Ali Meyer
{freebeacon.com} ~ In his newly published book, The Corrupt Classroom, Lance Izumi of the Pacific Research Institute illustrates how the public school classroom has become increasingly politicized... with liberal teachers indoctrinating students with an anti-Trump and leftist agenda. Izumi makes the case that while many school choice supporters rely on academic school performance data to show that public schools are failing, there are many other equally important reasons to support it. "Many parents, for example, are rightly concerned about the growing politicization of the classroom," Izumi explains. "Far from being mere anecdotal incidents—and there are lot of those—political bias is becoming systemic in public school systems and has turned many public schools into indoctrination centers for progressive ideologies and causes."...This is a sad day in America to think this is happening.  http://freebeacon.com/culture/new-book-sheds-light-anti-trump-agenda-public-schools-politicization-classroom/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=43e8885bcd-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_10_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-43e8885bcd-45611665

Sick of the NFL? Play Kaepernick-Hole
by Susan Stamper Brown
{townhall.com} ~ Every time NFL players take a knee during the national anthem they pierce the hearts of patriotic Americans and military families including mine.

I absolutely love football and my Dallas Cowboys. No longer. I haven’t burned my Cowboys sweatshirt yet, but I am close, which would make my husband happy because he’s a Redskins fan. But, if mine goes, his goes too.

I love my country and my military veteran husband more. So, I’ve decided to replace my football-watching time doing more important things like scooping up doggie-doo from the yard.

I even made up a game of it in honor of the guy who started this mess.

I call it “Kaepernick-Hole.”

My husband is handy, so I asked him to make a one-person corn hole box with Kaepernick’s face on it with a bucket inside. Now I can practice my aim with dog-doo.

I’m a decent shot when it comes to guns, but with doo, not so much. Not sure why, but it’s the first time in my life that I’m not upset if I miss the center.

Let’s be honest, the whole taking a knee fiasco during the national anthem has nothing to do with free speech or racism. If it were, crybaby millionaire NFL players would find another venue or some other moment outside of football to protest.

If I owned a team, I would tell my players it is their right to protest, but it’s my right to send them packing if they did it while in uniform.

This is really about butt-hurt leftists using the NFL as stooges to express their anger over Donald Trump’s presidency and liar-Hillary Clinton’s loss.

The way I see it, if liar-Hillary were president, the anti-America crowd would continue working quietly behind the scenes the way they did during the liar-nObama years -- until damage to America was irreversible.

liar-Hillary lost, so now they are coming out of the woodwork like cockroaches.

I’m going to say this as lovingly and gracefully as I know how, otherwise, I won’t be able to look my pastor in the eyes on Sunday:

Leave. Just leave, already.

Back when he still had a job in the NFL, Kaepernick protested about so-called “systematic oppression” wearing a Fidel Castro T-shirt and anti-cop “pig” socks.

Maybe it’s that Kaepernick’s been tackled or knocked out one time too many, but it seems he should know that Castro was one of the 20th Century’s worst oppressors.

If he moved to Cuba, he’d beg to come back. Anti-black racism is alive and well across the island. Anti-government “take-a-knee-ers” wouldn’t fare well either, in a communist regime where doctors make only $67.00 per month.

Maybe we could do a trade.

We could get a boatload of proud-to-be-American Cuban doctors and a few crates of cigars in exchange for Kaepernick’s $11.9 million 2016 base salary.

Seriously now, something’s got to give.

These protests are a symptom of a huge problem and it’s not racism.

There is a spiritual depravity overtaking the hearts and minds of people across this great nation.

If the fog were lifted from their eyes, they would understand how misguided it is to disrespect the national anthem which represents the most free and tolerant country on the planet.

Sure, we can always improve, but let’s be honest, America rocks.

The spoiled brat NFL protesters have no idea how blessed they are. If they really feel they need to kneel during a game, they should drop to their knees, before or after the national anthem, of course, to thank God for the blessing it is to be an American.

It’s almost kickoff time, so I’m signing off to enjoy some game playing of my own outside.

THE MINIMUM WAGE & ME
by Burt Prelutsky

When the minimum wage is the topic of discussion, you will often hear that one of the many problems with it is that it deprives young people of the opportunity of getting that first job that will help instill in them the work ethic, the importance of presenting oneself in the best possible light, the importance of discipline, of showing up on time and doing the job right. And maybe even doing a little bit extra, so that the employer will pat himself on the back for having been perceptive enough to hire such a sterling character in the first place.

There is also the importance of realizing that money doesn’t simply grow on trees or sprout miraculously from your parents’ pockets, and the pride that comes from earning money through your own efforts.

You might even learn a few other lessons. I know I did. From the time I was 13 until I was 22, I worked every summer at my father’s cigar stand in the Harris-Newmark building located downtown at 9th and Los Angeles. It was a tall building, nine or 10 stories, filled entirely, so far as I could tell, with offices and factories devoted to manufacturing women’s clothes.

These places are called cigar stands, but we mainly sold cigarettes, candy, gum, soda pop and coffee. One of the things that made the job so onerous is that there was so little space between the back of the counter and the front of the refrigerator which stretched across most of the back wall. And as that little space was filled by at least three people -- my dad, my oldest brother and me, and sometimes, my mother -- it was hardly possible to turn in any direction and not bump into someone.

Making it even worse is that there was a large coffee urn next to the refrigerator, so once you filled a styrofoam cup, if you were jostled by one of those people, the coffee would almost certainly scold your wrist.

But, worst of all were the customers. The rich ones were the guys who owned the dress and bathing suit companies. It was for them that we carried cigars. As it happens, we also carried them. As a sign of their importance in the universe, they would never pay for the cigars when they got them. Instead, we had to run a tab for them, and hope they would pay up at the end of the month. Sometimes, they would keep my father dangling for weeks before finally settling their debt, a luxury his suppliers didn't extend him.

I came to despise them so much that I would feign idiocy rather than acknowledge I knew which cigars they always smoked. That was because, as another sign of their superior station in life, they would snap their fingers in my face, signaling, for instance, that they wanted three Churchills, and they wanted them this very instant.

For my part, I would look blank, the look that Tucker Carlson adopts when some liberal on his show is saying something utterly stupid. Even though the schmuck had ordered the same three Churchills every day for a month, I preferred having them think I had the memory of a gnat rather than allow them the satisfaction of treating me like a lackey.

But, lest you wonder why their boorish behavior didn’t turn me into a class-conscious communist, the natural antidote was there before me, constantly. I refer to the men and women, generally blacks and Hispanics, who worked for the white factory owners. If you didn’t watch them like a hawk, they would rob you blind, just waiting for you to turn your back to pour a cup of coffee so they could swipe a candy bar or a pack of gum.

My dad was working longer hours than they were, toting garbage pails filled with empty pop bottles down to the basement, and making only slightly more money than they did. But they had no compunctions about stealing a nickel or dime’s worth of merchandise.

If I hadn’t already been very good at math, I suppose the decade I spent at the cigar stand would have taught me to make change. Instead, I came away knowing that I never again wanted to work in sales, and that character and integrity have little or nothing to do with race, or whether people are rich or poor.

● Presenting the other side of capitalism, we have the case of John Harding. He let me know that after a hard day’s work, he recently stopped at a Domino’s. Knowing that his elderly mother liked their cheesy bread, he decided to surprise her with some and to pick up a chicken sandwich for himself. He had $112 in his wallet. The bill came to $17.89.

The $12 wouldn’t cover it, so he gave the cashier the hundred-dollar bill. He was told they couldn’t cash it. They suggested he go to a bank and get change.

He concluded with: “Have you ever heard of a restaurant telling a hungry customer to leave and get change? Very unprofessional.”

In response, I wrote: “Did they post a sign the way that taxis and some businesses do, alerting the customer that they can’t handle anything larger than a twenty? If not, you might have a lawsuit. Just the threat of one might be enough to get the pizza giant to supply your mom with cheesy bread for the rest of her life.

“At the very least, I would send an angry letter to Domino’s V.P. in charge of customer service. You might never have to pay for another pizza.”

As a rule, I’m not in favor of suing at the drop of a hat, but it’s outrageous that a business that sells something made from 20 cents worth of flour and 25 cents worth of pepperoni for $10 or $15 refuses to break a hundred-dollar bill.

● The other day, I heard from a reader in Colorado Springs who had moved there from El Dorado County in California. Never having heard of the place, although I’ve lived in California for over 70 years, I asked him where it was located.

He wrote back to say “It’s a Gold Country county, due east of Sacramento. Because it’s in the foothills, it’s got great wine-growing soil and climate. El Dorado County has a saying when it comes to their major export:  El Dorado sells wine; Napa sells auto parts.”

That’s such a good line that if my rheumatoid arthritis meds didn’t conflict with alcohol, I’d probably run out and buy a bottle of El Dorado.

● Another reader, responding to my identifying myself as an optimist, wrote: “I have long suspected that you are an optimist. Disappointment goes hand-in-hand with that appellation. Which is why I am a cynic and a pessimist. I am never, ever disappointed. Hardly ever surprised, either. I became this way after a stretch in the Marine Corps, and becoming a federal cop cemented the notion. The ultimate curse in both institutions: ‘What could possibly go wrong?’”

In response, I let him know that “I assume that most things that people put their hand to will end disastrously. So, perhaps the fact that somehow I am still alive at the age of 77 is the only excuse I have for my otherwise inexplicable optimism.”

● Pete Wick of Woodbridge, CA, sent me a list of pithy remarks. They each had a famous name attached, but I knew for a fact that some of them never said what they are credited with having said, so I’ll leave the names off the ones I can’t verify.

“The only reason they say, ‘Women and children first’ is to test the strength of the lifeboats.” (Jean Kerr)

“Wood burns faster when you have to cut and chop it yourself.”

“Kill one man and you’re a murderer, kill a million and you’re a conqueror.”

“We are here on earth to do good unto others. What the others are here for, I have no idea.”

“I don’t believe in astrology. I am a Sagittarius and we’re very skeptical.”

“Hollywood must be the only place on earth where you can be fired by a man wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a baseball cap.” (Steve Martin)

“The first piece of luggage on an airport carousel never belongs to anyone.”

“I have kleptomania, but when it gets really bad, I take something for it.”

“Too many Americans worry less about losing their constitutional rights than losing their TV transmission.” (Burt Prelutsky)

● It recently occurred to me that I generally enjoy getting feedback from my readers, and perhaps some of you would appreciate having the opportunity to communicate with like-minded people. I am willing to help facilitate the program, but in order to keep it manageable, I think it would be best to limit the out-reach to people who reside in the same state.

Unfortunately, there are states where I have only one subscriber.Even more where I have none. But in those states where I have between 2 and 5, which might indicate you suffer from political isolation, I am willing to supply you with the email addresses of others who let me know they would be interested in having the modern version of a pen pal.

Those states are Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and two in Canada.

If you’re interested, send me an email (BurtPrelutsky@aol.com) and be sure to mention your state, so I don’t have to look it u

BARE NAKED ISLAM

It isn't Islamophobia when they really ARE trying to kill you

GERMAN GUY doesn’t even argue when Muslim colonizer tells him what Germany will soon look like, and why

( Muslims do not assimilate! They infiltrate! )

“Your daughters will wear headscarves and marry dark-skinned men with beards. Muslims will populate Germany with three or four times as many children as you Germans produce. Multiply that by four wives per man, and in a few generations, Muslims will be the majority population here.”
