( The region of peace strikes again!!! killing Innocent unarmed AMERICAN CITIZENS )

The Islamic State claimed the gunman “converted to Islam several months ago.”

“While initial reports claimed Paddock was a recent convert to Islam, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said he had no knowledge of Paddock’s religious beliefs.” Police have taken the shooter’s companion into custody. She was living with Stephen in Mesquite. She is believed to be an Australian citizen of Indonesian heritage.

Las Vegas shooting: Isis claims responsibility for deadliest gun massacre in US history

Terrorist group calls Stephen Paddock ‘a soldier of the Islamic State’

The Independent, October 2, 2017 (thanks to mark):

Isis has claimed responsibility for the deadliest mass shooting in American history.

Police said at least 50 people were killed and 200 wounded when a gunman opened fire on dense crowds at a concert in Las Vegas.

Officials have identified the shooter as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old American who had multiple weapons on the 32nd floor of a nearby hotel, where he is believed to have killed himself.

A statement published by the group’s Amaq propaganda agency claimed the attacker was a “soldier of the Islamic State”.

“The Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State in response to calls to target coalition countries,” it said.

Isis also claimed the gunman “converted to Islam several months ago”, without providing more details.

The wording of the release is similar to other attacks that have been inspired, rather than directed, by Isis.

{thehill.com} ~ Republican tax reformers are expected to propose cutting the federal corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 20 percent... While it may be tempting to dismiss this as just another giveaway to wealthy CEOs, fixing our broken, outdated corporate tax code is an essential ingredient to creating jobs and raising incomes. Pro-growth policies are desperately needed. This has been the weakest economic recovery since the 1940s. Firm deaths have exceeded firm births since 2008. The low unemployment rate does not count four million working-age Americans who have simply stopped looking for jobs. Median family income remains near 2007 levels. Qatar's Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani has offered

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ The ceremony in 2003 was announced with bombastic headlines: "After a wait of more than 500 years, Spanish Muslims, have finally succeeded in building a mosque of their own in the shadow of the Alhambra, once the symbol of Islamic power in Europe"... A troupe from al Jazeera was sent to follow the event: a muezzin climbed to the minaret of the Great Mosque of Granada to call the faithful to prayer for the first time in five centuries. From Osama bin Laden to the self-proclaimed Caliph, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, all the leaders of the global jihad -- including the terror cell that killed 17 people in Barcelona -- have mentioned Spain among the lands to be conquered by Islam. There is, however, not only jihad. There is also "the quiet conquest", as it has been dubbed by the French magazine, Valeurs Actuelles. {truthrevolt.org} ~ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had an applause line that should have brought the house down in his speech at Wednesday’s official ceremony celebrating 50 years of settlement in Judea and Samaria, the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights.

Netanyahu was speaking before a crowd of thousands in Gush Etzion, which was destroyed by the Arab Legion in the War of Independence, and rebuilt by the children of its massacred defenders immediately after the area was liberated in the 1967 Six Day War.

Netanyahu pledged to the audience: “There will be no more uprooting of settlements in the Land of Israel.”

He did receive enthusiastic applause. But he didn’t bring the house down. And the rest of his speech was met with a lukewarm reception overall, even though he hit all the notes.

And that makes sense. As much as the audience wanted to believe him and his pledges to continue to build in the biblical and strategic heartland of the country, they couldn’t.

They knew that under the current legal regime governing the country, it’s not for elected officials to say whether communities will be built or destroyed.

That’s up to the Supreme Court, whose justices have seized the power to determine any aspect of Israeli law and policy that they wish. And the Supreme Court, under retiring President Miriam Naor, was boycotting the official state ceremony.

Naor’s decision to cast to the seven winds official protocol, which dictates that a representative of the court is present at all state ceremonies was not automatic. First she had agreed to send a justice to the ceremony. But after she received a request from the radical Meretz party to reconsider her decision, she revoked it.

The ceremony, she insisted, was “controversial.”

And so, the same justice who participated both in the official ceremony to mark the reunification of Jerusalem earlier this year and in a conference sponsored by radical, anti-Israel groups last December, announced that no representative of the High Court would attend.

Naor’s decision to side with Meretz, with its five-member Knesset faction, and ignore 70 years of protocol, was not an isolated event.

Over the past several weeks, the court has published an avalanche of radical decisions that both separately and together represent what many experts are referring to as a second judicial revolution.

The first judicial revolution was carried out in the 1990s by then-Supreme Court president Aharon Barak. Based on his dubious interpretation of Basic Law: Human Dignity and Liberty, which was passed in 1992 by an uninterested Knesset, (only 53 out of 120 Knesset members participated in the vote), Barak seized the power to overturn Knesset laws.

Barak’s interpretation of the Basic Law, along with his radical rulings that gave standing to parties unaffected by the substance of their petitions to the Supreme Court acting as the High Court of Justice, initiated his judicial revolution. That revolution rendered the court the most powerful arm of government, with neither the Knesset nor the executive branch able to check or balance its growing power.

Until their recent decisions, like Barak, his successors have been careful to maintain at least a conceit that their rulings are based in Israeli law.

The recent rulings signal that the justices no longer feel constrained to do so.

Among other things, the court ruled that the legislature and the executive branch have no right to interpret the Basic Law governing the state budget to enable them to pass a two-year budget. In doing so the court paved the way for it to cancel Basic Laws, which are supposed to have constitutional standing.

The court canceled a law instituting a special tax on people who own more than two apartments.

The ruling did not discuss the merits of the law.

Rather, the justices canceled the law because they claimed that lawmakers didn’t debate it for long enough before they passed it into law. In other words, the court gave itself the right to cancel laws on procedural rather than substantive, legal grounds.

The court ruled that the law enabling the government to deport illegal aliens to third countries cannot be enforced unless the illegal alien agrees to leave. Thus the court ruled the government has no right to enforce Israel’s immigration laws and the Knesset has no right to legislate immigration laws.

The court ruled that the interior minister’s lawful power to remove a person’s residency rights is unenforceable in relation to Jerusalem residents, members of the Hamas terrorist group, who have been elected to serve as Palestinian lawmakers in the Palestinian Legislative Council.

In other words, the court decided that the 1952 law is illegal because the justices think it ought to be illegal.

The court canceled the Knesset law governing the draft of ultra-Orthodox Israelis because the justices thought it wasn’t strict enough.

None of these rulings was based on standing law. Indeed, they weren’t really based on law at all. And as incoming Supreme Court President Esther Hayut made clear this week, the absence of legal grounds for court rulings is not coincidental.

In a speech before the Bar Association, Hayut compared the justices to God.

In her words, “There’s a disadvantage that we flesh and blood judges have in comparison with the Creator of the Universe. Even in the situations where we understand fairly quickly the dilemma that brought the petitioners before us, it often happens that the solution we view as just and proper isn’t possible under the practice and requirements of the law. These situations in my view are among the most difficult and complex ones that we as judges are called upon to contend with.”

Hayut continued, “How do we bridge between the law and what is right? Finding an answer to this question, discovering the secret... ‘spice’ is perhaps one of the greatest tasks that lies before us as judges.”

Given her colleagues’ recent judgments, Hayut’s intentions are self-evident. Her court will abandon the law whenever it contradicts the justices’ sense of what is right. And given the ideological uniformity of the court, its justices’ sense of right will always be in alignment with Meretz, which will never, ever win a national election.

Which brings us to Turkey.

Until Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s AKP won its first parliamentary election in 2002, Turkey was a semi-democracy. Turkish voters elected their parliament and their president.

But the powers of both were checked by the military. The generals were constitutionally required to unseat any politicians who in any way endangered Turkey’s secular character.

Less than 15 years after Erdogan and his AKP first rose to power, the military was gutted, its constitutional power erased. But so was Turkey’s semi-democracy, and its secular character.

Erdogan today is a dictator. And Turkey grows more openly Islamist every day.

The thing of it is that Turkey had no democratic history. That is why the framers of its constitution inserted the military as the guardians of Turkish secularism, to protect it from the Islamist and anti-democratic impulses of the public.

As for the military, the generals really did confine their interventions in politics to instances where the generals were convinced Turkey’s secular order was endangered.

The situation is Israel is different in both regards.

The citizens of Israel have never wanted or supported anything other than democracy. There is no chance that this will ever change. Indeed, the public’s devotion to democracy has grown since Barak instituted the first judicial revolution 25 years ago.

As for the justices, unlike the Turkish generals, they intervene in every aspect of Israeli life that they wish. They recognize no limits on their power. They reject the questions on actuarial exams. They rule that entire communities must be destroyed or built. There is nothing to stop them from ruling that the government has no right to order the IDF to go to war. And indeed, given their current power grab, there every reason to assume that such a decision is possible.

In an attempt to curb the court’s power, this month Education Minister Naftali Bennett and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked introduced a bill they claim will do the trick. The Bennett-Shaked bill would amend the Basic Law: Knesset in a manner that would enable the Knesset to override Supreme Court decisions to cancel legislation.

There are several problems with the bill.

First, it is too limited. The justices have not only seized the Knesset’s power to pass laws. They have seized the government’s power to execute laws.

Unless that is also dealt with, the Supreme Court will continue to rule without checks or balances.

Then, too, if the proposed amendment goes through, it will actually empower the court.

Again, Barak had no legal basis for his arrogation of the power to cancel duly promulgated laws. If the Bennett-Shaked bill passes, it will provide the court with the legal power it lacks and so render his revolution irrevocable.

Finally, as Hayut said, and as recent court decisions show, the court is no longer interested in Knesset laws. Moreover, it has seized the right to cancel Basic Laws. Consequently, it will not hesitate to overrule and cancel the Bennett-Shaked amendment of the Basic Law: Knesset.

To abrogate the court’s actions and restore Israeli democracy, the Knesset and the government cannot adopt half measures. They must amend the Basic Law: Judiciary, to deny the court the right to cancel laws.

They must institute regulations, and if necessary pass laws, that require the High Court of Justice to base its rulings on evidence.

The Judicial Selection Committee, which enables justices to appoint themselves, must be shut down. The power to select judges must be transferred to the government. The Knesset must be empowered to approve judicial appointments.

The government and Knesset must end the court’s effective control over the attorney-general, the state prosecution and the legal advisers of the government ministries and the Knesset.

To this end, all appointments of senior counsels must be the prerogative of the government, the relevant minister or in the case of the Knesset, of the speaker of the Knesset. The appointments must be final and not susceptible to court challenge.

Finally, Barak’s assertion that “Everything is justiciable” must be rejected either in legislation or through Justice Ministry regulations. To petition the court, petitioners must demonstrate that they are directly affected by whatever it is they are petitioning against.

This then returns us to the official ceremony at Gush Etzion on Wednesday evening. Given the speed of the court’s seizure of powers and its open ideological alliance with Meretz, if the Knesset and the government do not act immediately to end the Supreme Court’s escalating judicial coup, 10 years from now there won’t be a ceremony to mark 60 years of settlement in Judea and Samaria, the Golan Heights and the Jordan Valley.

The justices won’t allow it.

FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE WWII, Denmark deploys military troops to protect Jewish synagogue

( Muslims do not assimilate! They infiltrate! )

They were also stationed outside the Israeli Embassy in Copenhagen hours before the start of Yom Kippur, an important holiday on the Jewish calender, when Muslims like to attack. Unprecedented use of soldiers in the capital since World War II follows deadly Islamic terrorist attacks in 2015 and a national terror threat level at ‘serious.’

Times of Israel  The Danish military deployed troops in Copenhagen on Friday to guard the city’s synagogue and the Israeli embassy, hours ahead of the Yom Kippur Jewish holiday. The synagogue and the Israeli embassy have been under police protection since two deadly Islamic terror attacks in 2015.

“This is the first time soldiers are being used in this type of situation, so it’s unique,” Copenhagen police spokesman Rasmus Bernt Skovsgaard said.

Danish police have protected Jewish institutions in the country since Omar El-Hussein, a Danish citizen of Palestinian origin who swore allegiance to the Islamic State group, opened fire outside the synagogue, killing one Jewish man and wounding two police officers in 2015.

Hours earlier, El-Hussein attacked a cultural centre hosting a free speech and Islam forum attended by the controversial Swedish artist Lars Vilks, who faced death threats for penning a caricature of the Prophet Mohammad. A filmmaker, Finn Norgaard, was killed in that attack. Police later killed El-Hussein.

Denmark’s (Islamic) terror threat level is “serious”, ranked four on a five-point scale, according to the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET).

Canada: Five injured in multiple Islamic ‘terror’ incidents across Edmonton

( Muslims do not assimilate! They infiltrate! )

Source: Edmonton: Five injured in Canada ‘terror’ incidents – BBC News

Canadian police have confirmed they are investigating possible acts of terrorism after multiple incidents in Edmonton, Alberta, on Saturday night.

They said a police officer controlling traffic at a Canadian Football League game was struck by a car at high speed and then attacked with a knife.

A man driving a van went on to hit at least four pedestrians and was arrested two hours later after a police chase.

Police said an Islamic State (IS) group flag was found in one of the vehicles.

Edmonton Police Service Chief Rod Knecht said the officer and his vehicle were rammed by a white Chevrolet Malibu at about 20:15 local time (04:15 GMT) outside Alberta’s Commonwealth Stadium.

The driver then got out of his vehicle and stabbed the uniformed officer several times, before fleeing on foot. The officer was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Chief Knecht said information about the vehicle’s registered owner was broadcast to patrol officers.

Shortly before midnight, a man driving a U-Haul rental van was pulled over at a checkpoint after his name on documents was said to be “very similar” to the one police were searching for.

“The U-Haul truck then immediately fled the scene, and was pursued by police officers toward downtown Edmonton,” the police chief said.

He said the truck “deliberately attempted to hit pedestrians” during the police chase.

The driver, a 30-year-old male, was arrested after his vehicle overturned in a police chase.

People attending a wedding near to where the car chase ended took pictures of the scene

The condition of the four injured pedestrians is not yet known.

“Based on evidence at the scenes and the actions of the suspect, at 00:38 it was determined these incidents are being investigated as acts of terrorism.”

Police said the arrested individual had been known to authorities.

They said they currently believe the suspect acted alone, but are not ruling out the involvement of any others.

The spate of attacks came less than a day after ISIS warned its fellow Muslims to Stay Out of Public Places:

ISIS is said to be using Telegram, an encrypted messaging application, and other social media to disseminate a message instructing Muslims in the United States, France, United Kingdom, Canada, Russia, and elsewhere “to remove themselves from public places that are prime targets for ISIS fighters,” according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI.

“ISIS attacks on these sites are imminent and the organization will use any killing method available,” according to MEMRI, which published a copy of the message, which was also sent to Muslims in Australia, Belgium, and Italy.

ISIS is threatening to “explode, run over people by vehicles, and cut off their necks,” according to the threat.

France: Muslim yelling “Allahu Akbar” knifes 2 women to death at Marseille train station
( Muslims do not assimilate! They infiltrate! )

Source: Marseille: Fatal knife attack at train station – BBC News

Two people have been killed in a knife attack at Muslikm’s Saint Charles train station.

The assailant has been shot dead by security forces in the southern French city. The incident is being treated as an act of terrorism, media report.

“Two victims have been stabbed to death,” regional police chief Olivier de Mazieres told AFP.

France’s Interior Minister, Gérard Collomb, said he was immediately travelling to the scene.

France’s national police tweeted that the situation at the station had been resolved, and the perpetrator “neutralised and shot down”.

Train traffic has been stopped, it said. Police had earlier asked people to avoid the area.

An unnamed official told France’s Le Monde newspaper that the assailant had cried “Allahu Akbar” (God is greatest).

French media report that both victims were women; one had her throat cut and the other was stabbed to death.

Like the attacks in Canada, this comes after ISIS warned fellow Muslims to stay home.

Unclean? Muslim Prof ID’ed As Woman Who Demanded Dogs Be Removed From Plane

September 29, 2017, Chris Menahan, Information Liberation:

a

The woman who was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight after demanding dogs be removed from the plane has been identified as Muslim professor Anila Daulatzai, who teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Daulatzai was kicked off a flight to Los Angeles on Tuesday after demanding two dogs be removed from the plane because she has “life-threatening allergies.”

She was unable to produce any documentation to prove this fact and was kicked off the flight in accordance with Southwest’s stated policies which explicitly forbid passengers from claiming a life-threatening allergic reaction to animals without a medical certificate.

Speculation is rife she demanded the dogs be removed because Muslims view dogs as unclean.

End the NFL

End the NFL

“Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, is allowing this just because of the percentage of black players in the NFL. On three occasions Goodell said NO to wearing an emblem to honor the 5 Dallas police officers that were murdered by a black lives matter activist, said NO on wearing a arm bland to honor the 9/11 victims and said NO to wearing an insignia to honor Jesus Christ. In the NFL rules book it states that the National Anthem will be played before each game and the home team will have our American Flag presented and be in good shape. The players will stand upright with their helmets under their left arm and their right hands over their hearts with no conversations. Those who don’t abide by this will be penalized by some action.” GR reader Kenneth G.

END THE NFL
by Daniel Greenfield, To the Point, 29th September 2017

Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2XSkPz1PDA

An Army recruit starts off with a salary under $20,000. Thousands of active duty military personnel are on food stamps. Millions of veterans rely on them to feed their families and themselves.

That’s how we treat the best of us. Here’s how we treat the worst of us.

An NFL rookie’s minimum salary is $465,000. And the majority of NFL players are usually bankrupt a few years after retirement because they blew through most of their money. Dozens of NFL players are arrested every year on charges ranging from murder to rape to animal abuse.

2017 was a banner year for the NFL with three times as many arrests as last year.

Along with the usual drunk driving and disorderly conduct arrests, there were 7 arrests for assault/battery, 6 for drugs and 5 for domestic violence.

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they weren’t going to “participate in the national anthem” because of the “injustice that has plagued people of color in this country”. While they lost that game, they are one of the top ranked teams in arrests. Alongside the Los Angeles Rams, the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets, all of whom showed some solidarity with the anti-American protests, these top NFL criminal teams have racked up arrests for domestic violence, drugs, DUI and assault and battery.

It’s no wonder that so many of the NFL’s millionaire scumbags are eager to join Colin Kaepernick’s protests against the justice system by degrading our anthem.

It’s because they’re criminals.

And it’s no wonder that the NFL stands behind its thugs. If a team can shrug at abusing women, what’s a little anti-American tantrum by a prize property that makes them millions of dollars?

The only question is why are the rest of us subsidizing it?

NFL teams loot millions from taxpayers to fund their stadiums. The Seahawks have a point about injustice. And the injustice is that taxpayers had to spend $390 million on their stadium.

Who will let Washington taxpayers take a knee and opt out of being exploited by the Seahawks?

Ten New Orleans Saints players sat out the anthem. New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton expressed pride in the players who rejected the United States of America. The Saints not only enjoy a stadium paid for by a billion in taxpayer money in a city with one of the highest poverty rates in the country, but are exempt from sales tax. And receive millions every year in “inducement payments” to stay put.

Sweetheart deals like these are not uncommon. The NFL comes with a pass on property taxes (those are for little people) and taxes in general. Until 2015, the NFL was a non-profit. “Professional football leagues” was actually inserted into the Internal Revenue Code to provide a special non-profit status. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell got paid $44 million in one year. That made him the highest paid non-profit exec in the country.

The entire NFL is an illegal trust. It’s a monopoly that was illegally legalized by Congress.

That monopoly allows the NFL and its teams to cash in on television licensing and team gear. After the NFL uses its illegal monopoly to rip off broadcasters, ESPN rips off cable subscribers.

ESPN pays the NFL almost $2 billion a year. Even if you don’t watch ESPN, you’re paying $9 a month for it because of yet another illegal monopoly. If you subscribe to cable or live in a major city, the odds are good that your pocket is being picked by the millionaire racists “taking a knee” against America.

But the monopolies are dying.

ESPN is bleeding subscribers. The NFL’s anti-American turn is alienating fans. And cable is collapsing.

The NFL is built on government taking money from people and giving it to the industry. Its leftward tilt isn’t an accident. It’s a calculated move. Who are the folks most likely to bail out an industry? They’re on the left. Not the right. If your monopoly is dying, it’s time to go left and hate America.

Anthem bashing is popular with the left. And it’s very popular with the social justice bloggers who increasingly dominate sports journalism, and not just on ESPN. Hating America will score points with the left. It’ll buy the NFL more protectionism from the media and the 2020 Democrats.

The only question is why do we need the NFL?

Once upon a time there was a football free market. Multiple leagues competed with each other. And the NFL was just one of many. The NFL-AFL merger created a monster monopoly that has worked to crush any independent league through its control over broadcasting and venues.

That’s what happened with the United States Football League which won an anti-trust court case against the NFL, but was forced under anyway.

The man at the center of the fight against the NFL was New Jersey Generals owner Donald Trump.

The illegal monopoly that created the NFL was the work of Senator Russell Long, the son of radical criminal Dem kingpin Huey Long, who illegally took over his father’s Senate seat (previously held by his mother) and spent almost four decades in the Senate with no qualification except his last name.

The NFL got a monopoly in exchange for New Orleans getting a franchise.

Congressman Hale Boggs, the corrupt Louisiana Dem boss who went to war with the FBI, got it through in the House by appealing, “The Republicans are out to get me. I need this to save me.”

And Boggs held things up until he got assurances from the NFL commissioner that the franchise was in.

That’s the corrupt Democrat deal that created the NFL monopoly. Of course the NFL thinks the justice system is unfair. It was created by a crime and it’s full of criminals.

Before the anthem protests, the NFL was just one of the corrupt legacies of Democrat rule. It’s a reminder of the fact that social justice politics, whether it’s Obama’s “You Didn’t Build That” or Huey Long’s “Share Our Wealth”, is nothing more than organized thievery from the working class.

But the NFL is no longer just a corrupt monopoly. Instead it’s becoming a radical anti-American organization that uses its taxpayer-subsidized stadiums and monopoly broadcasting rights to spread hatred toward this country and disrespect to the soldiers who fought and died for it.

America could have tolerated the NFL’s corrupt thievery. But there’s no way Americans should be subsidizing this diseased leftover of Democrat corruption when it spews hate at the United States.

It’s time for the NFL’s anti-trust exemption to go the way of Ma Bell.

Break up the corrupt Democrat monopoly of the NFL and demolish the barriers to the formation of independent leagues by taking on the NFL, ESPN and its broadcasting partners in crime.

It’s time for the NFL to take a knee and for the free market to rise.

Football must become an American sport again.

College Professor: Believing in Hard Work is White Ideology

College Professor: Believing in Hard Work is White Ideology

Pennsylvania State University-Brandywine professor Angela Putman recently asserted in an academic paper that the notion “if I work hard, I can be successful” is merely a product of white ideology, reports Campus Reform.

Angela Putman conducted a study to critique and examine “ideologies within college students’ discourse that are foundational to whiteness.” Her resulting conclusion published on Thursday was that “meritocracy”, or the belief that people should rise based on the fruits of their own labor, is a "white ideology." In her mind, this "white ideology" is unfortunately widely accepted in academia.

But, Professor Putman argues that professors can change this "ideology" by teaching students “how racism and whiteness function in various contexts, the powerful influence of systems and institutions, and the pervasiveness of whiteness ideologies within the United States.”

Putman believes that it is somehow a bad thing to teach students personal responsibility. Emphasizing a collectivist mindset, Putman puts forth the idea that Americans are falsely "socialized to believe that we got to where we are… because of our own individual efforts.”

This “ideology” she says, perpetuates whiteness and racism throughout society. Once students learn more about "white ideology," they will hopefully “resist perpetuating and reifying whiteness through their own discourse and interactions,” and challenge systemic “manifestations of racism and whiteness.”

Until students learn the hidden dangers of believing in the value of hard-work and a positive attitude, “whiteness ideologies may be reproduced through a general acceptance and unchallenging of norms, as well as through everyday discourse from a wide variety of racial positionalities.”

In the past, Professor Putman has put forth even more radical ideas to confront racism. On her blog, whiteprivilegedoc.com, Putman gave a detailed list how to fight systemic racism. Among her list of ideas were:

#2. Stop looking to people of color for information, guidance, and leadership.

If you are confused, unsure what to say, overwhelmed with emotions, or just don’t know what to do, try to figure it out on your own first. If that doesn’t work, look to other whites involved in the fight for their help and guidance. It is not the responsibility of people of color to explain things to us, to make us feel better..

and

#8. Attend protests and rallies… but not if you aren’t willing to be arrested.

Those who led the fight for civil rights (and those who continue to fight today) believed so strongly in what they were fighting for that they were willing to be arrested or tear gassed or beaten by police if it came to that. I hope that protests and rallies remain peaceful; but, when confrontation with law officers occurs, white people should be the ones at the front of the lines, holding their ground, and forcing officers to arrest them first. Let the media start writing headlines and talking on television about the countless white people arrested at the recent Black Lives Matter protest, and perhaps we might change the perceptions and shift the conversations people are having about this movement.

Putman did not say how she would be grading students in the future. According to her theory, grading based on their merits and test scores would be a perpetuation of white ideological privilege.

LITTLE BOY REFUSES TO KNEEL FOR FLAG, TEACHER MAKES AN EXAMPLE OUT OF HIM

In the wake of America’s recent NFL scandal, millions of citizens have been forced to decide between patriotism and politics. After choosing to place his hand on his heart for the Pledge of Allegiance, one Georgia boy says he was targeted by his teacher and other students.

Jason Newberry has given many Americans hope that respect for the country is not, in fact, dead. When his class began kneeling for the Pledge of Allegiance, he refused to engage in such behavior—he stood tall, his hand placed upon his heart, and proudly recited the words which show tribute to this great nation.

In response, students singled him out and began to bully him, along with one other student who stood tall and recited the pledge of allegiance. “Me and him got called KKK, Nazi, and we just kept getting bullied the whole day,” said one student, Jason Newberry.

What’s worse, however, is this teacher’s response. Rather than being a “tolerant liberal,” she flew off the handle and completely destroyed the kid’s self-esteem. In an act of sheer cruelty and vengeance, she shamed him in front of the entire class, making him feel a knot in his gut simply for respecting our flag.

His second period teacher, who has remained unidentified, took the opportunity to make an example of him. She showed the entire class liberal propaganda featuring NFL players kneeling, polling the class on how they feel about protesting the anthem, and teaching them that she would NEVER stand for the flag.

CBS 46 reports:

“Nobody put their hand over their heart except me and one other little boy and we said the Pledge of Allegiance,” Jason told CBS 46.

“Me and him got called KKK, Nazi, and we just kept on getting bullied that whole day. Teacher said that she’ll never stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and that, if she did stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, then she wouldn’t really mean it.”

Jason’s mother, Lisa Newberry, was understandably upset—she rallied other parents together and has expressed her outrage over this teacher’s response. She stated that it’s an educator’s job to teach students facts, not to force feed them political opinions.

“She made her own poll on paper, passed it out to all her students to see what they thought was right or wrong about taking a knee,” Lisa said. “These are our kids. We should be able to instill our values in them — not her.”

The students caught bullying Newberry have not been disciplined, leading many to suggest that the teacher may have condoned such harassment. The school has refused to offer parents an answer, but the teacher did release a pathetic apology letter in which she half-apologizes, half-justifies her actions.

“I apologize for expressing my views to my students. I recognize that while this was not a one-sided lesson, the topic itself and the expression of my views were not appropriate, my intentions were well-meaning,” the teacher wrote.

Many have already contacted the school administrators and expressed their outrage, and understandably so. Imagine what would happen if a conservative teacher FORCED a student to remove a #BlackLivesMatter sticker from his backpack? He would be reprimanded and FIRED immediately!

Yet every day, liberals get away with brainwashing our students, lying to our children, and destroying our country. When will it end? When will conservatives finally stand up for their country? If we don’t begin to fight this disgusting liberal group-think, it’s only a matter of time before our country is destroyed.

Scalise's Return Reminds Us What's at Stake
by Nate Jackson:  That Republican Rep. Steve Scalise is alive is a miracle. That he can walk is another, as evidenced in his dramatic return to Congress yesterday. Three months after being wounded by a would-be assassin, Scalise needed two walking crutches to make it to the House floor, and he entered to a long, rousing and emotional standing ovation from his colleagues.

The congressman’s return is a welcome sight during a time of political discord, and it’s also a reminder of that discord. Remember, it wasn’t just some nutcase who attempted to murder Scalise and numerous other Republicans practicing for the congressional baseball game, it was a socialist Bernie Sanders fanatic inspired by left-wing hate rhetoric.
Columnist Gary Bauer puts it in perspective: “After the Charlottesville riots, Congress passed, and President Trump signed, a resolution condemning white supremacist hate groups. The resolution also called on the federal government to investigate groups that are ‘fomenting and facilitating additional violence.’ Scalise’s would-be assassin was a fan of a Facebook page called ‘Terminate The Republican Party.’ Is the FBI investigating this group? Incredibly, that page is still active. Facebook doesn’t hesitate to pull content it finds offensive. But I guess that doesn’t qualify as ‘hate speech’ to the progressives who dominate Silicon Valley and the tech industry.”
Our national politics would be far better if more men like Scalise dominated the discourse instead of antifa thugs and NFL ingrates.
During his inspiring remarks, Scalise spoke of the role of his Christian faith in his recovery, saying, “It starts with God.” Laying bleeding on the ballfield that day in June, Scalise recalled, “I just started praying.” We too are grateful that he can now say, “Pretty much every one of those prayers were answered. [God] really did deliver for me and my family, and it just gives you that renewed faith and understanding that the power of prayer is just something that you cannot underestimate.”
Scalise also thanked the two U.S. Capitol Police responsible for saving his life: David Bailey and Crystal Griner, both of whom were wounded in the exchange with the assailant. President Donald Trump awarded both officers the Medal of Valor in July. Were it not for a couple of good guys with guns, many people would have died that day.
“I’m definitely a living example that miracles really do happen,” Scalise said. He’s right, and it’s heartening to see it.  ~The Patriot Post

Unfair Charges of Systemic Racism
by David Limbaugh

{townhall.com} ~ No matter how often leftists slander conservatives as racists, no matter how much they try to shame NFL fans for objecting to players kneeling during the national anthem, flag-waving patriots are not going to be cowed into surrendering on this issue.

Why is it that anytime leftists engage in political debate or protest, no matter how inflammatory their content or manner of expression, they are glorified and defended? Conversely, why are conservatives automatically condemned as insensitive or censorious when they express their views or object to those of the left?

In this upside-down culture, the left is always treated as occupying the moral high ground, and criticism of liberals is deemed injurious to their right to free speech.

So when certain NFL players kneel during the national anthem, the dominant liberal media culture celebrates them, while anyone who objects to their action is accused of infringing on their liberties, even though no state action is involved and no constitutional question is at issue.

It is leftists who want to chill the speech of those criticizing the protesters for disrespecting the American flag. Instead of invoking bogus free speech issues, shouldn't we talk about the content of the protesters' complaints and the propriety of their manner of expressing them?

It seems the thrust of the protesters' complaint is that American law enforcement and America itself are systemically racist.

But if a protest movement seeks to be constructive, its complaints must be considered on the merits, and that means a full and substantive discussion of the facts. Those who disagree with the gravamen of the complaint have just as much right to express their opinion as the complainants. Bullying them into silence is hardly going to facilitate a resolution.

If the complainants truly are asserting that America's law enforcement institutions or America itself are systemically racist against African-Americans, they bear the burden of proving their assertions, especially when facts and statistics appear to contradict those claims. The Washington Post reports that of the 963 people shot and killed by police in America last year, only 17 of the victims were unarmed African-Americans. On its face, that's a troubling number, but it does not suggest systemic racism of law enforcement. This is not a dispositive statistic, but it is one that must be considered among others.

Lest you accuse me of exaggerating the protesters' position, note that I'm just listening to what many of them and their supporters say on national television and radio. Universities are replete with courses railing against white supremacy and racism in this country. The professional leftist protest cabal, Antifa, is certainly making these claims unambiguously, and mainstream Democrats and the media are championing their cause. Antifa is so extreme on white privilege that you can sometimes hear its members berating fellow white colleagues for joining protests because they are "inherently racist."

No reasonable person can defend specific acts of racist behavior, especially by law enforcement officers. But protesters shouldn't get away with misstating facts to prove their claim. Such distortions cannot possibly help correct actual instances of racism. Protesters should be challenged, for example, if they claim racism is involved when a black officer shoots a black civilian. When protesters cite Michael Brown and Ferguson as an example of "hands up, don't shoot," they should be called out for misrepresenting the facts. Brown was not shot in the back by a police officer while peacefully trying to surrender, yet many have intentionally perpetuated that destructive myth.

People are tired of police officers being attacked and accused of systemic racism. The overwhelming majority of citizens would be appalled and outraged if they believed it was true. People are alarmed at being presumed racist based on the color of their skin. No one wants to be unjustly accused of racism -- one of the most damning charges that could be leveled in our society. As the charge is so damaging, it shouldn't be made freely and indiscriminately or without a strong factual basis. Those who do systemically engage in such baseless accusations should themselves be condemned for it.

People are certainly free to claim America or American law enforcement is systemically racist, but fairness requires that they back up their claims factually.

Protesters are free to kneel during the national anthem, assuming the NFL chooses not to discipline them for a rule violation, but fans are also free to express their disapproval of the protesters' overt disrespecting of the American flag.

Many fans believe that regardless of the merits of the protesters' claims, it is inappropriate for them to express their complaint in this form -- because it implies, if not outright expresses, that the nation itself is somehow guilty of the type of racist behavior they are protesting.

Many Americans are fed up with the ongoing effort in our culture to trash this nation and its historical symbols -- not just controversial Confederate symbols but many others, as well.

Evidence of racial tension in America is not limited to football players kneeling. There has been an ongoing effort by race agitators on the left to stir the pot for political and other reasons. A conservative can hardly take a political position on any issue, no matter how innocuous, without someone on the left's accusing him of racism. Talk about chilling speech and political dissent!

President Trump provides a convenient scapegoat for the left and many on the right. Criticize him if you must for fanning the flames, but don't fool yourself that he is responsible for the overall problem we face, which is serious and must be taken seriously. And be aware that many appreciate it when people in leadership positions defend the sanctity of the flag.

It should go without saying that racism of all kinds and in all directions is unacceptable, including unwarranted claims of racism, which are themselves grounded in race.

If protesters genuinely want their problems addressed, they must quit stating more than the facts allow, refrain from outrageous and damaging hyperbole, and support their specific claims with concrete evidence. And unless they want to continue to draw as much ire as they draw constructive attention to their concerns, they must quit targeting the American flag and other sacred national symbols.

Is Hurricane Maria Trump's Katrina? Nope
QF_L7H9J7oDCVpZB5OvRjY_Kx4E-Bq5eNda8PTNrenKdS-UkS2gY-nbmJjoHEytxGkCkjLD0m9xsPwbEXXVUbmQhsoTMPCYxcgp0nFR3EXsNSR6BwEnfJaKr5cCPzSw=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Thomas Gallatin:  Hurricane Maria’s direct hit on Puerto Rico caused widespread devastation across the entire island. It left more than three million people without power as well as severely damaging infrastructure, making communication and transporting supplies across the island slow and difficult. In short, much of the island will literally need to be rebuilt. This is why the effects of hurricanes are termed “natural disasters.” But knowing that a powerful hurricane is approaching enables people and the government to better prepare for dealing with the aftereffects of a storm.

As with Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Leftmedia elites were licking their lips at the apparent opportunity to blast Donald Trump and label these natural disasters as “Trump’s Katrina.” However, Trump proved up to the task as the federal government, along with everyday Americans — particularly faith-based groups — jumped to the task of helping out victims of the storms. Harvey and Irma have proved to highlight more the American spirit of self-reliance and neighborliness rather than the socialist ideal of government dependence.
Now as Puerto Rico recovers from Maria, the challenges are different. On Tuesday, Trump noted the challenge, stating, “It’s the most difficult job because it’s on the island. … You can’t just drive your trucks there from other states.” On Thursday, Trump waved the Jones Act, responding to a request by Puerto Rico’s governor to temporarily loosen restrictions on shipping from foreign countries in order to allow aid and supplies to flow more quickly and easily. Trump will also be visiting the island next week.
Clearly, Trump has navigated these natural disaster waters well. Interestingly, The Washington Post remains hopeful that Hurricane Maria will cause enough Puerto Ricans to have to move to Florida that it will turn the state Democrat blue. That assumes that Puerto Ricans would rather move than rebuild their island. It also assumes that Puerto Ricans would doggedly cling to Democrat politics irrespective to how well the Trump administration works at helping the island rebuild. Talk about a pessimistic and biased analysis. But what else would one expect from The Post?   ~The Patriot Post

by Pat Buchanan
{townhall.com} ~ When elected chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2000, Judge Roy Moore installed in his courthouse a monument with the Ten Commandments that Moses brought down from Mount Sinai carved into it.

Told by a federal court his monument violated the separation of church and state, Moore refused to remove it and was suspended -- to become famous as "The Ten Commandments Judge."

Roy Moore is now the Republican candidate for the Senate from Alabama, having routed Sen. Luther Strange, whom President Trump endorsed and campaigned for.

Moore's primary win is a fire bell in the night for GOP senators in 2018. And should he defeat his Democratic opponent, the judge will be coming to Capitol Hill, gunning for Mitch McConnell.

Yet it is the moral convictions of the candidate that make this an interesting race for all Americans. For Moore is a social conservative of a species that is almost extinct in Washington.

He believes that man-made law must conform to the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," as written in Jefferson's Declaration of Independence.

If a law contradicts God's law, it is invalid, nonbinding. In some cases, civil disobedience, deliberate violation of such a law, may be the moral duty of a Christian.

Moore believes God's Law is even above the Constitution, at least as interpreted by recent Supreme Courts.

Homosexuality, an abomination in the Old Testament, Moore sees as "an inherent evil." When the high court, in Obergefell v. Hodges, discovered a constitutional right to same-sex marriage, Moore, back on the Alabama court, defied the decision, was suspended again and resigned.

Postmodern America may see the judge as a refugee from the Neolithic period. Yet, his convictions, and how he has stood by them, are going to attract folks beyond Alabama. And the judge's views on God, man, and law are not without a distinguished paternity.

In his "Letter from Birmingham Jail," Dr. King wrote: "There are two types of laws: there are just laws, and there are unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that 'An unjust law is no law at all.'...

"A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law, or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas, an unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal and natural law."

In his Declaration, Jefferson wrote that all men are endowed by their "Creator" with inalienable rights, and among these is the right to life.

Many Christians believe that what the Supreme Court did in Roe v. Wade -- declare an unborn child's right to life contingent upon whether its mother wishes to end it -- violates God's law, "Thou shalt not kill."

Throughout our history, people acting upon such beliefs have defied laws, and are today celebrated for it.

Abolitionists, in violation of laws they believed immoral, set up the Underground Railroad to help slaves escape to freedom. King believed that laws imposing racial segregation violated the American "creed" that "all men are created equal" and acted on that belief.

Thomas More is considered by Catholics to be a saint and moral hero for defying Henry VIII's demand, among others, that he endorse a lie, that the king's marriage to Anne Boleyn was not adultery.

Early Christians accepted martyrdom rather than obey laws of the Caesars and burn incense to the gods of Rome.

After Hitler took power in 1933, he authorized the eradication of "useless eaters" in the Third Reich. Those who condemned these laws as violations of God's law, and even attempted to assassinate Hitler in 1944, are today regarded as moral heroes.

Moore, should he win, is going to become an object of fascination in The Secular City. Yet his questions and concerns are those of the silent millions on the losing side of America's culture war.

Is the USA still a good and Godly country when 55 million abortions have been performed with the sanction of law in 45 years?

Do court decisions that force Christians to act against their religious beliefs have to be obeyed? What is the duty of Christians in a paganized and perverted society?

What is taking place today is a growing alienation of one-half of the country from the other, a growing belief of millions of Americans that our society has become morally sick.

Christianity and the moral truths it has taught for 2,000 years have been deposed from the pre-eminent position they held until after World War II, and are now rejected as a source of law. They have been replaced by the tenets of a secular humanism that is the prevailing orthodoxy of our new cultural, social and intellectual elites.

If elected, Judge Moore, one imagines, will not be rendering respectfully unto the new Caesar.

NAACP Congressman Green Calls For

{rickwells.us} ~ There is no doubt that Rep Al Green (D-TX) is an anti-America subversive operating from within the government... There is also no doubt, particularly as a former official for ten years with the NAACP in Houston, that he sees the world through the eyes of a race-baiting agitator. He’s continued his advocacy and agitation for black supremacy and preference for non-whites since coming to Congress. Naturally, he’s a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. It’s also logical that he’s fiercely attacking President Trump, the archenemy of communists in America, and utilizing race as their vehicle of spreading dissent and division. Chuck clown-Schumer Opened Effort
to Derail Tax Reform Spreading Fake News
by Brent Scher
{freebeacon.com} ~ During his Wednesday press conference, Senate Minority Leader Chuck clown-Schumer (D., N.Y.) announced his opposition to the newly proposed Republican tax plan... and used a false statistic to argue it would raise taxes on working Americans. "By repealing the personal exemption, Republicans are once again raising taxes on middle class and working Americans," clown-Schumer said. "A family of two, on this framework, with a household income of $45,000 could see their bill increase by $1,000." The claim put forth by clown-Schumer does not add up. The proposal’s doubled standard deduction for married taxpayers filing jointly, from $12,600 to $24,000, more than makes up for the elimination of the $4,050 personal exemptions that would be eliminated in the proposal...I do hope people will not believe this clown.  http://freebeacon.com/politics/chuck-schumer-opened-effort-derail-tax-reform-spreading-fake-news/?utm_source=Freedom+Mail&utm_campaign=ddea4dfb9c-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_09_28&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b5e6e0e9ea-ddea4dfb9c-45611665

Trump preparing executive order to

insurance across state lines
by Gabby Morrongiello
{washingtonexaminer.com} ~ President Trump is preparing an executive order to allow people to purchase health insurance across state lines... a reform conservatives have long championed as a way to bring costs down and stir greater competition in the national marketplace. The executive action gives the White House a chance to follow through on at least one promise related to healthcare reform after Senate Republicans' second attempt to overhaul liar-nObamacare failed this week. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul first mentioned the action during a TV appearance Wednesday morning, saying Trump was considering taking matters into his own hands... http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/trump-preparing-executive-order-to-let-americans-purchase-health-insurance-across-state-lines/article/2635808

Latin America’s socialist-
Islamist-narco-terrorist alliance
by Clifford D. May
{defenddemocracy.org} ~ At the U.N. last week, President Trump had harsh words for the “socialist dictatorship” that has impoverished Venezuela. He railed against “Islamist extremism” and “radical Islamic terrorism,” the former a supremacist ideology... the latter a weapon being used to mass-murder Muslims, Christians Yazidis, Jews and Hindus. He took note, too, of the threat posed by “international criminal networks” that “traffic drugs, weapons, people.” No one personifies this poisonous cocktail better than Tareck El Aissami, Venezuela’s 43-year-old vice president. Mr. El Aissami comes from a Lebanese-Syrian family with ties to Shia jihadist groups in Iraq. He also has been linked to a list of South American drug traffickers.  Despite that, or perhaps because of it, he was appointed to the No. 2 government job in January by Venezuela’s dictator, President Nicolas Maduro...  http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hit/latin-americas-socialist-islamist-narco-terrorist-alliance/

A U.S. President Is Finally
Speaking Up for the People of Iran
by John Hannah
{defenddemocracy.org} ~ A note about the Iran section of President Donald Trump’s speech to the U.N. General Assembly. While his lambasting of the nuclear deal garnered the greatest attention... it would be a mistake to overlook his extended focus on the plight of the Iranian people. It’s almost certainly significant — an important indicator of the administration’s future direction when it comes to Iran policy. By my count, in the speech’s several paragraphs devoted to Iran, at least 11 of 17 sentences served to highlight specific ways that the regime has failed the Iranian people. Thus, the regime “masks a corrupt dictatorship behind the false guise of democracy.” It “has turned a wealthy country with a rich history and culture into an economically depleted rogue state” whose “longest-suffering victims … are, in fact, its own people.”...  http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hit/john-hannah-a-us-president-is-finally-speaking-up-for-the-people-of-iran/

ACTORS, DOGS & OTHER CRITTERS
by Burt Prelutsky

Recently, I shared my list of favorite actors and actresses. Only two people let me know they took exception to my selections. One guy made a case for Jimmy Cagney, whom I had left off my list. I let him know that I enjoyed Cagney’s boundless energy, but I didn’t include him because I had never really liked any of his movies very much. Considering what a long career he had, you would think that would be a near impossibility.

When the fan brought up the Oscar that Cagney had won for “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” I pointed out the movie was no better than the standard hokum about vaudeville that Hollywood churned out in the 30's and 40's whenever they wanted to use a bunch of songs that were in the public domain. No doubt part of the reason for the Oscar was the patriotic fervor during WW II, plus Hollywood’s shock that the town’s favorite movie gangster could dance, even though Cagney had broken into the business as a New York chorus boy.

The other quibble about my list came from someone who was shocked that I had Meryl Streep on my list, although to be fair, I had explained that I was limiting her participation, as I had with Katharine Hepburn and Barbara Stanwyck, to her comedic roles “Postcards from the Edge,” “Defending Your Life,” “Florence Foster Jenkins”. I acknowledged that although I don’t care for her in dramas and, furthermore, despise Streep’s public persona, I wouldn’t allow that to distort my critical judgment.

I pointed out that I had cast Ed Asner in my movie “Angels on Tap” which remains in the limbo of post-production, in case you’re curious. Although I take my politics seriously, I believe in occasionally boycotting companies, not people.

● Speaking of blacklists, a third party asked me to compare two of the Hollywood 10, Dalton Trumbo and Albert Maltz, both of whom had gone to jail in the early 1950s because they’d stonewalled a congressional committee investigating communist influence in the motion picture industry.

When I asked him why he was asking the question, he wrote: “Supposedly, when Otto Preminger found out that Trumbo’s name would appear in the credits of ‘Spartacus,’ he fired Maltz and hired Trumbo to write ‘Exodus.’”

I replied: “I doubt if that’s true. For one thing, I had never heard such a rumor, although I have studied the blacklist for the past several decades. I suppose the reason for that is that it took place at a very impressionable time for me. I was in grade school, and it seemed like every day, some actor or actress I liked was being called in front of the House Unamerican Activities Committee (HUAC) and being asked if they were or ever had been members of the Communist Party, and their response would determine if they would continue appearing in movies or on TV.

It was the biggest show in America, with a cast that included Gary Cooper, Lucille Ball, Larry Parks, John Garfield, Adolph Menjou, Marsha Hunt, Ginger Rogers, Walt Disney, Lee J. Cobb, Lionel Stander, Humphrey Bogart, Elia Kazan, Elmer Bernstein, Budd Schulberg, Howard Hughes and Ronald Reagan. Some were friendly witnesses, others refused to cooperate and paid the price.

But, getting back to Trumbo and Maltz, it made no sense that Otto Preminger, who was both extremely liberal and very publicity-conscious, would have fired Maltz in order to hire Trumbo. For one thing, Trumbo had always been a bigger name and was in fact the highest-paid screenwriter in town until the blacklist turned him from a guy pulling down $3,000-a-week working at MGM into someone who was suddenly persona non-grata, getting $1,500-$2,000 per script for churning out the likes of “Roman Holiday” and “The Brave One” anonymously.

Preminger must have known that Kirk Douglas was going to get most of the attention for having broken the blacklist with Trumbo. Therefore, it would have made more sense for him to have grabbed the spotlight by hiring Maltz, who would never again work in Hollywood.

● Several veteran groups have taken exception to the multi-part PBS documentary about Vietnam cobbled together by Ken Burns. I can’t critique it because I have no intention of tuning in. Normally, I would have watched it, but the combination of PBS and Mr. Burns was enough to let me know that in the end, it would be neither fair nor balanced. I had no doubt that it would be well-produced and that the young and stupid would be convinced they were watching a factual recounting of the War.

But, then, there are those who take the word of the NY Times and the Washington Post that Donald Trump, in spite of being married to a foreigner and having a daughter who is a Jewish convert, is both xenophobic and a religious bigot.

Ken Burns is one of those cinematic propagandists who is always hailed as a great filmmaker, as if the biased content of his work matters less than his technical expertise, when in fact it is the biased content that generates their rapturous praise.

He is merely the most recent in a tawdry line that includes Leni Riefenstahl, Oliver Stone and Michael Moore.

Some might balk at the inclusion of Ms. Riefenstahl, but I’ll point out that she labored on behalf of Adolf Hitler, a Jew-hating socialist, which would place him in the mainstream of current European politics if he were still alive.

● It seems that Jonah Goldberg, whom I had only previously known as a political writer and occasional guest panelist on Fox, is also a dog lover. For that, I am almost, although not quite, willing to forgive him for his overly harsh comments about Donald Trump.

In a recent article, Mr. Goldberg wrote about the findings by Dr. Gregory Berns, a neuroscientist at Emory University and the author of “What It’s Like to Be a Dog,” who used magnetic imaging to discover how dogs think and what it is they think about. As it turns out, they are usually thinking about us.

According to his research, Dr. Berns is confident that dogs really do love us. He even debunked the notion that they only love us because we feed them. As any dog owner can tell you, we feed them and give them treats because we respond to their loving us by loving them and wanting them to be happy.

They are not, as some cynics would insist, four-legged gold-diggers, and we are not their sugar-daddies and sugar-mommies.

As my wife Yvonne and I can attest, when one of us leaves the house, Angel is unhappy, and it’s certainly not because we’ve carted her treats off with us. It’s as if someone had turned off the sunshine. Furthermore, when we return, she reacts as if we had just returned safely from a prolonged visit to a war zone.

Some people who simply refuse to recognize the truth will even insist that dogs lick our hands not out of affection, but for the salt content. I always wonder if they also believe that’s why people kiss each other or their children. And are they equally convinced there is more kissing taking place in the summertime when we’re all sweating more than usual?

Although I can usually take Indian lore or leave it alone, I did hear one piece of lore years ago that I took to heart. Legend has it that the god of the Indians separated men from all the other animals by cleaving a hole in the earth, but at the last possible second, a dog leapt across the crevice to take its place at our side.

I believe it and, what’s more, I will continue to believe it until Angel tells me otherwise.

I believe it and, what’s more, I will continue to believe it until Angel tells me otherwise.

by Nate Jackson:  The last time we heard from ABC, the network was canceling one of its most popular shows — “Last Man Standing” — because the star of the show, Tim Allen, is a little too conservative in the Age of Trump. Allen joked in March, “You’ve got to be real careful around [Hollywood]. You get beat up if [you] don’t believe what everybody believes. This is like ‘30s Germany.” That was more than enough for the corporate ax to fall on his hit show. The sitcom, by the way, averaged 8.3 million viewers on Friday night in its last season.

Months later, Allen is still understandably miffed. He said this week, “There is nothing more dangerous, especially in this climate, than a funny, likable conservative character.” In fact, “[ABC] couldn’t have handled this worse,” he insisted. “Second biggest show. [ABC] hadn’t won a Friday night in 15 years. They put us out to pasture on Friday and we won Friday. Big night for us. Big night for them.” Not good enough for a leftist network.
So what will replace “Last Man Standing”? It may not happen in the same time slot, but “Sanctuary Family” has been given the greenlight. You don’t have to wonder what it’s about — the title says it all. A married couple welcomes their illegal alien nanny and her family to live with them. It’s tough on the families, but ABC’s description gushes that “the differences both families have aren’t as significant as their similarities.” “Sanctuary Family” will join similar-themed shows on CBS, Fox and CW.
Let’s get two things straight. First, many illegals who come to America do work hard and do what’s best for their families. Our convoluted immigration system doesn’t always help matters. Second, that said, this new wave of shows is little more than leftist propaganda. It’s one thing to discuss the merits of one policy or another and to understand the human angle, but it’s something else to fill television with sympathetic characters so audiences develop emotional connections that then influence policy and voting preferences. That’s Hollywood’s true goal — propaganda for the Democrat Party. It is indoctrination through entertainment. And it’s why Tim Allen no longer has a place in ABC’s lineup.
Meanwhile, many American will just keep tuning out of the garbage coming out of Hollywood.  ~The Patriot Post

Russia Exploited Key Element

Previous media coverage on Russian influence operations within the United States has overwhelmingly focused on reported attempts to stir up America’s political right-wing, but new reporting indicates that Russia also sought to promote the identity-focused politics that currently dominates America’s political Left. Russian accounts targeted Baltimore and Ferguson — both hubs of racial activism — with pro-Black Lives Matter messaging, CNN  reported this week. NFL Pigskins at the Public Trough
by Michelle Malkin

I’m calling foul on all the leftists rushing to protect the NFL’s protest crusaders from President Donald Trump’s criticism of their national anthem antics.

Their shabby line of defense? The NFL is a “private enterprise” whose “rights” are being violated by those who dare to challenge the league’s political radicalization. The anti-Trump Democratic Coalition has even filed an ethics complaint alleging that the president’s comments constitute a criminal violation against using government offices “to influence the employment decisions and practices” of a private entity.

Funny. These fair-weather friends of corporate free speech and the First Amendment were nowhere to be found when Boston Mayor Tom Menino and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel were vowing to shut down Chick-fil-A in their towns as government retaliation against the founders’ private religious beliefs.

As for the NFL’s status as a “private” enterprise? That’s some Super Bowl-sized audacity right there. I first started tracking publicly subsidized sports boondoggles with my very first watchdog website, Porkwatch, back in 1999. Since then, taxpayers at all levels of government have foot the bill for football stadiums to the tune of an estimated $1 billion every year.

Over the past decade, new tax-supported NFL stadiums rose up for the Indianapolis Colts the $720 million Lucas Oil Stadium, the Dallas Cowboys the $1.15 billion AT&T Stadium the New York Jets and Giants the $1.6 billion MetLife Stadium, the Minnesota Vikings the $1.1 billion U.S. Bank Stadium, the Atlanta Falcons the $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and the San Francisco 49ers the $1.3 billion Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Next in the works: a whopping $2.6 billion stadium for the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams and a $1.9 billion stadium for the Oakland Raiders when they move to Las Vegas. Left behind? An $83 million taxpayer debt on two-decade-old renovations to the Alameda County Coliseum that the Raiders are abandoning.

Both political parties have supported massive redistribution of taxes from working people to the gridiron’s spoiled one-percenters. Public-private sports palace boosters employ the same bogus economic development math as the federal government’s infamous Solyndra green energy loans, stimulus rip-offs and jobs programs. Citizens are promised an enormous multiplier of jobs and benefits in return for their “investments.” But instead they’ve been saddled with a field of schemes.

Sports economists have concluded repeatedly that the effects of stadium subsidies on employment and economic activity are negligible — or even negative. Scott Wolla of the St. Louis Federal Reserve reported earlier this year, “In a 2017 poll, 83 percent of the economists surveyed agreed that ‘Providing state and local subsidies to build stadiums for professional sports teams is likely to cost the relevant taxpayers more than any local economic benefits that are generated.’”

Yet, the NFL, its teams and its sponsors continue to benefit from a bonanza of tax-free loans, municipal bonds, rent waivers and property tax exemptions. Congress provided the league with an antitrust exemption that protects its monopoly broadcasting rights. Localities have raided “emergency” funds to help pay for stadium construction. And corporate benefactors write off their expenses for luxury boxes, tickets and naming-rights purchases.

As long as the NFL has its hog noses buried in the taxpayer trough, I’ll keep speaking up about all the football militants who backed former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and his disgusting cops-as-pigs socks.

You wanna raise your fists on the field? Get your grubby hands out of our pockets first.  ~The Patriot Post

{dailycaller.com} ~ Russia used Facebook ads in 2016 to both encourage and inflame identity politics in America as part of its cyber-operation against the U.S., according to new reports... The Washington Post reported that the Russian ads promoted other “African American rights groups” in addition to Black Lives Matter...  http://dailycaller.com/2017/09/28/america-is-obsessed-with-identity-politics-so-russia-exploited-it/?utm_medium=email

Religious Freedom Attacks Have
Skyrocketed, Says Damning New Report

{totalconservative.com} ~ According to a disturbing new report from the First Liberty Institute, attacks on religious freedom have gone through the roof over the last six years... The report shows that there were more than 1,400 hostile acts against religious expression in 2016 compared with only 600 documented attacks in 2011.  “Quantitatively and qualitatively, the hostility is undeniable,” said the report. “And it is dangerous. This past year has seen the continuation of high-profile attacks on religious liberty in the public arena as people of faith have been fired, refused employment, or fined for practicing their faith or speaking out about their religious beliefs.”...  http://totalconservative.com/religious-freedom-attacks-skyrocketed-says-damning-new-report/

{patriotpost.us} ~ I’m calling foul on all the leftists rushing to protect the NFL’s protest crusaders from President Donald Trump’s criticism of their national anthem antics.

WOW! NFL Player Tells PO’ed Fan Base To Screw Off – Here’s His EXACT Words

Does this bro not realize where those gazillions he gets paid come from?

It’s pretty basic — advertisers pay the big bucks to air commercials during the games, companies pay for endorsements, and it’s all because there are a truckload of fans — potential customers — watching.

You take away the customers and *poof* the incentive to pay money to advertise is gone.

This might be a hard concept for Tennessee Titans’ Tight End, Delaine Walker to grasp, but let’s give it a go:

Professional football players make money through ticket sales.

If you insult a large group of people, they won’t pay money to see you throw a ball and run around on a field. That will directly affect your paycheck.

*cough*

Delaine Walker weighed in on the NFL anthem protest and he wanted to make things clear:

“First off, I’m going to say this: We’re not disrespecting the military, the men and women that serve in the Army. That’s not what it’s all about,” Titans tight end Delanie Walker said. “If you look at most of the guys in here – I’ve been in the USO. I support the troops. This is not about that. It’s about equal rights, and that’s all everyone is trying to show, is that we all care about each other.

And the fans that don’t want to come to the game? I mean, OK. Bye. I mean, if you feel that’s something, we’re disrespecting you, don’t come to the game. You don’t have to. No one’s telling you to come to the game. It’s your freedom of choice to do that.
Source: The Tennesseean

Ok, Delaine — you’re free to protest, but you’re doing it on company time, and in a way that most Americans find insulting.

Sorry, we’re not going to endorse your ‘slacktivist’ anti-Trump protest.

This isn’t about social justice, police brutality, or systemic racism anymore — it’s morphed into virtue signaling anti-Trumpism.

It’s about ‘unity’ you say, and in that, you’re right.

It’s about uniting NFL players against the President and his supporters because #Resistance is cool right now.

It should be noted that Walker has said that after these comments he’s been the target of racist rants and death threats.

Obama Judge Strikes Down Bill That Protects Babies With Down Syndrome

A federal judge has struck down an Indiana law that would ban abortions sought because of fetal genetic abnormalities, protecting unborn babies from discrimination based on their sex, race or abilities.

According to The Indy Channel, U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt found the law to be “unconstitutional” and granted an order that that would block it from being enforced.

The order stems from a suit filed in April 2016, when Judge Pratt halted the law at the request of Planned Parenthood.

The law itself made Indiana the second state in the U.S. to effectively ban abortions of babies with Down syndrome or another genetic disorder, and also had other “requirements” regarding the abortion process.

House Bill 1337 included in its non-discrimination ban the requirement to have aborted or miscarried bodies “cremated or buried and another requirement that abortionists who have hospital admitting privileges renew them annually.”

However, Pratt argues this law, particularly the inability to abort due to a genetic abnormality, goes against a woman’s right to her body.

“The lack of authority supporting the state’s position likely stems from the fact that it is contrary to the core legal rights on which a woman’s right to choose to terminate her pregnancy prior to viability are predicated,” Pratt wrote.

According to Courthouse News, she also “struck down another provision dictating how the remains of a fetus are to be handled” on the grounds that they should “be treated the same way under law as the remains of a deceased person.”

Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed in America every year. Elective abortions allow that procedure to dictate whether a baby with a disability will, or will not be, welcomed into this world.

As Good Housekeeping suggests, “two-thirds of pregnancies undergo prenatal testing as early as 11 weeks,” so women have more of a choice as to whether they will end the pregnancy. It further adds, in the specific case of disabilities, “most choose to terminate.”

It also acknowledges that from 1995 to 2011, “roughly 67 to 85 percent of pregnancies with a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome were aborted.”

“As a result, elective pregnancy terminations have meant 30 percent fewer babies were born with Down syndrome in the U.S.,” according to a 2015 study.

Yet life expectancy of people with Down Syndrome has increased — quite dramatically — from 1960 when, on average, they would live to be only about 10 years old.

By 2007, persons with Down syndrome lived (on average) to be about 47 years old.

Yet, Pratt, who has a history of siding with the abortion lobby, insists this law violates a woman’s right to free choice, and many others agree with her.

“Every person deserves the right to make their own personal decisions about abortion. There is no medical basis for these restrictions,” said Christie Gillespie, President and CEO of PPINK.

Pro-lifers strongly disagree.

“We are deeply disappointed that Planned Parenthood can discriminate against unborn children and target them for abortion,” said Mike Fichter, President and CEO of Indiana Right to Life and one of the many voices against Pratt’s decision.

“It’s a shame that Planned Parenthood cares more about their bottom line than recognizing the worth of children with Down syndrome,” he said.

“We urge Attorney General Curtis Hill to appeal.”

It is not clear yet if the state will, in fact, appeal Pratt’s ruling. (For more from the author of “Obama Judge Strikes Down Bill That Protects Babies With Down Syndrome” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/09/obama-judge-strikes-bill-protects-babies-syndrome/

Why Trump’s Appeals Court Nominees Are Backed up in the Senate

President Donald Trump’s nominations for judgeships on federal courts have been excellent so far, and his just-announced nominees to fill four appeals court vacancies in Texas and Louisiana are no exception.

The four are among a slate of new judicial nominations rolled out Thursday by the president as he makes steady progress toward filling more than 160 current and future vacancies on the federal courts.

While Trump announces more and more outstanding nominees, they are, unfortunately, piling up in the Senate. The chamber has confirmed only seven judges (including Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch) this year.

Part of the problem is the Senate Judiciary Committee’s policy, known as “blue slips,” which asks the two senators from a nominee’s home state for their opinion before the committee holds a hearing or further evaluates the nominee.

Senators select “I approve” or “I object” on a blue slip of paper. The president has the power to appoint judges—with the advice and consent of the Senate—but under this 100-year-old tradition, a single senator may be able to bring a confirmation to a crashing halt.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, should not let this obstruction continue. Instead, he should ditch the blue-slip practice for appellate nominees.

Before specifying earlier judicial nominees who are yet to be confirmed, often because of blue slips, let’s look at Trump’s four new nominees to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals:

1. Kyle Duncan is a seasoned attorney in private practice in Washington, D.C. He served as Louisiana’s first solicitor general and general counsel for Becket Law when the firm represented Hobby Lobby in its challenge to Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate. Duncan has argued cases in more than 30 federal and state appellate courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. Duncan, who also was a professor at the University of Mississippi School of Law, is the president’s pick for a Louisiana seat on the 5th Circuit. Louisiana’s two senators are Republicans Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy.

2. Kurt Engelhardt, chief judge of the Eastern District of Louisiana, has served as a district court judge since his nomination by President George W. Bush in 2001. Prior to that, he was in private practice. Engelhardt made headlines for taking the Obama Justice Department to task for leaking grand jury information while prosecuting police officers who shot six unarmed individuals in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Trump nominated him to fill another Louisiana seat.

3. Don Willett is a justice on the Texas Supreme Court who is known as the “Tweeter Laureate of Texas” for his entertaining social media presence. Despite this playful side, Willett is a thoughtful jurist with more than a decade of experience on the bench. Willett was included on Trump’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees—and he earned a spot on The Heritage Foundation’s list as well. He is the president’s choice for a vacancy in Texas, which has two Republican senators, John Cornyn and Ted Cruz.

4. James Ho, a partner at the Dallas office of Gibson Dunn, previously served as solicitor general of Texas. In that post, he received two Best Brief Awards from the National Association of Attorneys General. Ho also served in the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel during the George W. Bush administration, and clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas. He is slated to fill another Texas seat.

While we don’t expect these four nominees to the Texas and Louisiana seats on the 5th Circuit to face blue-slip problems, the same cannot be said of all the other nominees announced earlier this year.

Here’s a look at 10 nominees for federal judgeships who are waiting for a Senate hearing or vote:

1. Stephanos Bibas, a professor of law and criminology at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, was nominated to the 3rd Circuit in June. Bibas is one of our nation’s leading criminal law experts, and runs a clinic at U Penn for students to participate in Supreme Court cases. Pennsylvania has one Democrat senator, Bob Casey Jr., and one Republican, Pat Toomey. Bibas’ hearing before the Judiciary Committee is scheduled for Oct. 4, so he has cleared potential blue-slip hurdles.

2. Joan Larsen is a Michigan Supreme Court justice nominated to the 6th Circuit. After some delay, likely influenced by the fact that she is on Trump’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees, Michigan’s two Democrat senators, Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters, returned their blue slips. Larsen, a former clerk to the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, appeared before the Judiciary Committee for a Sept. 6 confirmation hearing and awaits a committee vote.

3. Michael Brennan, an attorney in private practice in Milwaukee, was nominated in August for the 7th Circuit. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, a Democrat, announced that she is “extremely troubled” by Trump’s “partisan approach” in not deferring to Wisconsin’s judicial selection committee. Ron Johnson, a Republican, is Wisconsin’s other senator.

4. Amy Coney Barrett, a law professor at Notre Dame, also was named to the 7th Circuit. While Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., dragged his feet over the summer, he eventually joined Sen. Todd Young, R-Ind., in returning the blue slip. You may recall that at Barrett’s confirmation hearing in September, Democrats asked inappropriate questions about her Catholic faith. She awaits a committee vote.

5. David Stras, a Minnesota Supreme Court justice, was nominated in May to the 8th Circuit. Sen. Amy Klobuchar issued a statement calling for a hearing for Stras (though she wouldn’t have picked him), but her fellow Minnesota Democrat, Sen. Al Franken, announced he would not return his blue slip. Franken said Stras “would be a deeply conservative jurist in the mold of Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia.” Stras is also on Trump’s short list for the Supreme Court.

6. Steve Grasz, a lawyer in private practice in Omaha, Nebraska, previously served in the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, where his cases included defending the state’s partial-birth abortion ban before the Supreme Court. Grasz was nominated to the 8th Circuit in August. The state’s senators, Ben Sasse and Deb Fischer, are both Republicans.

7. Ryan Bounds, a federal prosecutor in Oregon, is a nominee for the 9th Circuit. He worked in George W. Bush’s Office of Legal Counsel and clerked for a conservative powerhouse, Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain. Sens. Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, both Democrats, had another individual in mind for the vacancy, so they informed the White House they intended to block Bounds’ confirmation.

8. Allison Eid is a Colorado Supreme Court justice and nominee to the 10th Circuit seat vacated by Gorsuch. Also on Trump’s Supreme Court list, she previously served as Colorado’s solicitor general and is a former clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas. Her confirmation hearing was in September, and she awaits a committee vote.

9. Lisa Branch, a Georgia state court judge, was nominated to the 11th Circuit in September. She is another Bush administration alum, having served in both the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of Management and Budget. Georgia’s senators, David Perdue and Johnny Isakson, are both Republicans.

10. Greg Katsas, deputy White House counsel, was nominated for the D.C. Circuit. Formerly a partner at the D.C.-based law firm Jones Day, Katsas has argued cases before the Supreme Court, including the first Obamacare challenge, NFIB v. Sebelius. He held several posts in the Justice Department during the Bush administration and also clerked for Thomas. Since no senators represent the District of Columbia, he doesn’t need to worry about blue slips.

We applaud the president’s selection of these tremendous individuals for vacancies on the federal appeals courts.

But they are just the tip of the iceberg. With more than 160 vacancies to fill, senators need to stop stonewalling and get to work confirming these highly qualified, conservative nominees.
