Small clarification: Debate will be limited to 30 hours prior to the vote. So Paul and Wyden and others will be able to speak at length, but they won't be able to stop the vote. This bill, should it pass, will renew and expand the snooping powers of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Amendments for another six years. to Haiti’s ‘Craphole’ Status

They accuse Trump of making derogatory statements about Haiti and calling some nations “sh*thole countries” while rejecting a bipartisan immigration deal; a term he later denied using. On January 12, Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and David Perdue (R-GA) issued a statement which said in part they “do not recall the President saying these comments specifically, but what he did call out was the imbalance of our current immigration system.”
If these self-righteous gasbags really cared about unsavory language, they would have found some righteous indignation when former President liar-nObama went on one of his profanity-laced rants that news correspondent Ann Compton talked about on C-SPAN in 2014, and when Vice President loose lips-Biden hurled the F-bomb after liar-nObamacare passed.
Even if Trump did say what some allege, it is not hate-filled, vile or racist to speak truth.
Sadly, Haiti the country -- not the people -- is a banana republic craphole thanks to natural disasters, poor leadership and Democrats.
Enter: The liar-Clintons.
According to the Haiti Sentinel, when he was president, liar-Bill Clinton negotiated deals with former Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide that “effectively rendered Haiti incapable of feeding itself.” liar-Clinton later admitted, “It may have been good for some of my farmers in Arkansas, but it has not worked. I have to live every day with the lost capacity to produce a rice crop in Haiti to feed those people because of what I did,” BBC News reports.
Paradoxically, after the 2010 Haiti earthquake, liar-Clinton was asked to lead the UN’s Haiti Reconstruction Fund while liar-Hillary oversaw U.S. aid to Haiti. WikiLeaks later revealed emails between liar-Hillary’s State Department and the liar-Clinton Foundation which appeared to show that those earmarked as “FOB” (friend of liar-Bill) and “Wjc/hrc friends” received special attention.
ABC News reports contributors to the foundation and friends of the liar-Clintons benefited from the reconstruction. In addition, a garment factory run by a Korean firm in an industrial park which cost $400 million of global aid, including almost $175 million in U.S. taxpayer money, underdelivered in promised jobs. ABC discovered “the Korean firm became a liar-Clinton Foundation donor and its owner invested in a startup company owned by liar-Hillary Clinton’s former chief of staff.”
Six years after the earthquake, people remain homeless, with fewer than 1500 homes rebuilt, and many rebuilt again because of poor workmanship. The ABC investigation found that at the same time, the liar-Clinton Foundation said it ‘facilitated’ the construction of a luxury hotel in Port-au-Prince, owned by a man who donated $10 million to $25 million to the liar-Clinton Foundation.
Moreover, Newsmax reports liar-Hillary’s brother, Tony Rodham, “was on the board of one of only two companies that received a ‘gold exploitation permit’ in 2012 from the Haitian government – a first in over 50 years,” which caused an uproar in the Haitian Senate when leaders discovered “the royalties to be paid to the Haitian government were at least half the standard rate at 2.5 percent.”
And Democrats are “concerned” about what Trump allegedly said?
If they are going to condemn Trump for speaking the unvarnished truth about craphole countries, then maybe it’s time to talk about how Democrats, by way of the liar-Clintons they worship, helped Haiti remain one.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a program in the executive branch of the American government, allows the children (who are not American citizens) of illegal aliens to legally reside and work in the United States. According todataprovided by the Pew Research Center, Hispanics (from Central and South America) constitute approximately 98% of the participants in DACA. by Political Editors: The two Republican senators from Arizona have evidently decided to tag team in their efforts to belittle President Donald Trump while playing for affection from the mainstream media. RINO-Jeff Flake delivered ablistering speechfrom the Senate floor Wednesday, eviscerating Trump for his rhetoric about the press. RINO-John McCain took to the pages of The Washington Post with his own condemnatoryopinion piecemaking the same argument. While both make some fair criticisms of the president’s temperament, they’re also completely missing the point.
Following the Democrat and MSM narrative, RINO-Flake and RINO-McCain worry that Trump is endangering the freedom of the press with his combative rhetoric and “fake news” awards. But Trump, who the Leftmedia regularly and repeatedly label as everything from a racist to mentally unstable, is clearly not the one responsible for “discrediting” the free press. Journalists have only themselves to blame for that. As for the senators’ idea that Trump is echoing Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, or providing justification for despots around the world to persecute journalists, we’d counter, as we did Tuesday, that it wasn’t Trump who ordered the Justice Department to go after journalists and their sources. That was Barack liar-nObama’s M.O. Where is RINO-Flake’s speech or RINO-McCain’s op-ed blasting liar-nObama for his real threat to a free press? Moreover, a news flash: This “fake news” phenomenon among tyrants has been around for a lot longer than Trump, as both senators well know. It used to go by the term “propaganda.” The truth is, if Trump had never uttered the phrase “fake news,” it would not change the long-running practice of totalitarian regimes suppressing journalistic freedom. Both senators should be ashamed of doing nothing more than ingratiating themselves to the Democrat/Media Complex. Yet they seem to view the MSM as having the authority to dictate how Americans are supposed to think on culture, politics and government. Theirs is not a plea for freedom or truthfulness, but rather a call for Trump to surrender to the dictates of the PC police. No wonder RINO-McCain lost in 2008 and RINO-Flake is headed for the exit this year. It would serve both senators well to ask why things like talk radio, Fox News and conservative websites like ours are so popular. It would do them some good to go around and talk to everyday working-class Americans and find out why they voted for a guy like Trump. Because, clearly, like most of the Beltway elites, these two still don’t get it. Americans simply got tired of being lied to and abused by Washington elites. They got tired of listening to mainstream news media outlets acting more often than not as cheerleaders for leftist social causes rather than defenders of Americans’ constitutional freedoms and rights. Americans got tired of hearing how they were the world’s biggest problem and that to be a proud American was wrong or immoral. And Trump, warts and all, gets one yuge thing right: He doesn’t hide his immense pride in and love for his country and countrymen. He really believes that America and Americans are the best. It doesn’t play well with the Left, the MSM and Washington elites, but it does with Americans all across this great nation. It’s not that we necessarily disagree with RINO-Flake or RINO-McCain that Trump’s sometimes reckless approach presents some problems, but it’s what they don’t say that is the most egregious error. President Donald Trump is now making this argument as his administration announced that it would allow states to enact work requirements for Medicaid. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) stated that it would “support state efforts to test incentives that make participation in work or other community engagement a requirement for continued Medicaid eligibility or coverage for certain adult Medicaid beneficiaries. … CMS supports state efforts to enable individuals to gain and maintain employment.”
Citing research on the overall health benefits of working, the CMS said, “A growing body of evidence suggests that targeting certain health determinants, including productive work and community engagement, may improve health outcomes.” The Foundation for Government Accountability noted that since 2000 the number of individuals receiving Medicaid benefits has more than doubled to 75 million enrolled — including 28 million able-bodied adults. Over 50% of Medicaid beneficiaries who are able-bodied adults do not work. Since the passage of liar-nObamaCare the number of individuals enrolled in Medicaid has increased significantly, greatly adding cost to the program. Unfortunately, there are those who reject the notion that able-bodied adults benefiting from the Medicaid program should be required to perform at least 80 hours of work a month via a job, community engagement activity, education, job skills training or volunteering. Fundamentally, working is a good and rewarding aspect of life. It produces less dependency, greater personal accountability, and purpose in life. It is the primary means by which an individual positively contributes to their community and society at large. Administration Seeks Quick SCOTUS Ruling on DACA
by Thomas Gallatin: Last week, U.S. District Judge William Alsup, a liar-Bill Clinton appointee in “sanctuary” San Francisco, ruled in favor of a lawsuit brought by Barack liar-nObama’s former secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, forbidding President Donald Trump from following through on his decision to end liar-nObama’s executive order-createdDACA program. On Tuesday, the Department of Justice announced that it would seek to bypass the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and take the case directly to the Supreme Court. That’s yuge.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions defended the unusual move, stating, “It defies both law and common sense for DACA — an entirely discretionary non-enforcement policy that was implemented unilaterally by the last administration after Congress rejected similar legislative proposals and courts invalidating the similar DAPA policy — to somehow be mandated nationwide by a single district court in San Francisco.” Tom Goldstein, publisher of SCOTUS Blog, noted, “It’s an extremely unusual request, one that is granted once in a blue moon. It’s a signal by the Trump administration that they take this issue incredibly seriously and think the justices should, too.” While this is indeed an unusual action, it is fully warranted given the fact that DACA is not law but an executive order, which a president is free to rescind. Meanwhile, Democrats aren’t actually interested in coming up with a legislative solution to DACA, though they do want to force Trump into keeping liar-nObama’s lawless executive order. Reflecting on the real leftist agenda with the “s—thole” episode, Mollie Hemingway correctly observes, “The out-of-context leak was designed to dampen the prospects of an immigration compromise. You may want to sit down for this, but sometimes people care more about profiting from a problem than solving a problem. What if Democrats are using DACA recipients as human shields for their own electoral plans in November, and to get increased voter intensity, higher political donations, and greater turnout in upcoming elections?” Why ask, though, when you can just state the fact: Democrats want to drag out DACA as long as possible, especially during an election year, all in a cynical ploy for votes. Lack of Administrative Picks Is a Thorn in Trump's Side
by Jordan Candler: In just a few days, Donald Trump will officially mark one full year in the Oval Office, during which time hisimpressive list of accomplishmentshas blossomed, with conservative policy reforms and judicial nominations. If there’s one area the president is coming up short, however, it’s in neglecting to fill important administrative posts.
The Daily Signal reports, “Trump has no nominee for 252 of the 633 key positions requiring Senate confirmation, according to the Partnership for Public Service, which tracks presidential appointments. That’s well behind every predecessor going back to at least President George H.W. Bush, each of whom had the bulk of nominees confirmed by this point in their administration, according to the organization.” To name just a few, key appointments are lacking in the Justice Department, Internal Revenue Service and State Department. In fairness, spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders last month pointed out, “The president has said before he doesn’t think that every single position in the government needs to be filled. He’s going to cut back on some of those positions. We’ve been focused on some of the top priority places and we’re going to continue filling out individuals. But, we’ve also seen a massive slowdown and obstruction by the Democrats.” Here’s the problem with that argument: Every second that ticks by only exacerbates the issue of the deep state, and it actually detrimentally handcuffs Trump’s broader agenda. Why? Because career politicians will jump at the opportunity to continue fulfilling Barack liar-nObama’s statist agenda, or at least blocking Trump’s. As The Heritage Foundation’s Robert Moffit observes, “If you are going to drain the swamp, you need the people to do it. You either control the federal bureaucracy or the federal bureaucracy controls you.” In related news, turnover is disproportionately high in the Trump White House. According to a Washington Post analysis, Trump’s first-year turnover rate sits at 36%, which dwarfs that of previous administrations. For example, of the previous five presidents, the second-highest on the list, Ronald Reagan, had a first-year turnover rate of 17%, while George W. Bush had the lowest at 6%. Trump is certainly largely to blame for the chaotic atmosphere in the White House, but Steven Bannon, Reince Priebus, Michael Flynn and others hurt themselves and created a lot of their own problems. The bottom line is that Trump needs to get busy filling critical positions. But he also needs to be methodical about it. If you listen to the mainstream news media and the socialist left, you could become very depressed. Everything is characterized from the lens of racism, homophobia, misogyny, Islamophobia, bigotry, and scare tactics about how the economy is going to tank under President Donald Trump. These soldiers of "resistance" spend a great deal of time spinning narratives, using partial facts and slanting coverage of events in an attempt to brainwash the public into thinking that America is bad, white Americans are bad, and that anyone who supports the President or even parts of his agenda are terrible, even deplorable, people. There are a lot of myths being spun that don't mesh with the facts.
The President, through the Republican Party website, has listed the Top 11 "fake news" stories of 2017. The New York Times, ABC News, Time, CNN, the Washington Post, and Newsweek made the list, some of them several times. Early on, the talking points of the fake news media were that the stock market and economy would never recover from the Trump election. The racist narrative was promoted by TIME by falsely reporting that Trump had removed a bust of Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Oval Office. The Washington Post took pictures of a sold out Trump rally before it started and reported that the arena was empty. There were several stories that had to be retracted about the Trump "Russian connection."
While these stories were played and re-reported throughout the days and weeks to millions upon millions, they were all false. Notwithstanding, they served to whip up a frenzy among those who present themselves as educated and informed against the rest of the nation who they consider deplorables. The facts are a different, less reported story. Just today, unemployment numbers are reported the lowest since 2000 and perhaps since the 1970s. The economy has created some 2 million jobs and generated $8 trillion in wealth since the inauguration. African Americans and Hispanics are employed by the largest numbers since these statistics have been recorded.
There are many more positive accomplishments by the Trump Administration while over 90% of the media coverage has been negative or spinning yarns of untruths. What president has recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel? We also haven't heard much about the Islamic State's murderous activities-could it be because Trump's military has killed them off? From Supreme Court and lower court nominees to regulation reduction to cutting funding for the terrorist operation called the Palestinian Authority, Trump has delivered. Yet the media and leftists remain an Isaiah 59:6-7 people, "...their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. Their feet run to evil..." Let's seek the truth and believe it instead of believing those who seek to ruin others with their lies spun as truth.
The implementation of tougher immigration laws in the U.S. during the first year of the Trump presidency has resulted in a 30% increase in arrests, compared to the previous year, but deportations have decreased. The overall number of illegal immigrants deported from the .U.S. in 2017 fell from 2016, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Meanwhile, a report released by the administration linked its case for changing the immigration policy to national security and the ability of the immigrants to assimilate.
An official, speaking on background Tuesday morning, said 402 of the 549 people convicted of international terrorism-related charges in the U.S., since September 11, 2001, were foreign born. “Those who come to this country must love this country, should speak English…,” the official said, promising measures to ensure that only those who can contribute to the country’s prosperity and can assimilate will be allowed to immigrate.

ICE has said its enforcement raids targeting illegals will continue in 2018.
Last week ICE agents raided dozens of stores and arrested over 20 undocumented workers.
Describing the raids as “a harbinger of what’s to come,” Derek N. Benner, acting head of the ICE Homeland Security Investigation, said, “This is what we’re gearing up for this year and what you’re going to see more and more is these large-scale compliance inspections, just for starters.”
The U.S. deported 226,000 people in 2017, compared to 240,000 in 2016, and a vast majority of them were from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. ICE has said the decrease in deportation is due to prevention at the border and reduction in attempts by people to enter the U.S. illegally, given the tough enforcement.

US Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) took part in a hearing titled, ‘Terrorism and Social Media: #IsBigTechDoingEnough?’ He is member of the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. The hearing was examining the methods social media platforms are taking to fight the spread of extremist propaganda over social networks and the Internet in general.
Cruz’s line of questioning was full of surprises, and he talked about his concerns about social media platforms’ decisions to shut down or stifle political speech (and preach). “The pattern of political censorship we are seeing across the technology companies is highly concerning. And the opening question I asked of whether you are a neutral public forum — if you are a neutral public forum, that does not allow for political editorializing and censorship. And if you are not a neutral public forum, the entire predicate for liability immunity under the CDA [Communications Decency Act] is claiming to be a neutral public forum, so you cannot have it both ways,” Cruz said.
Four witnesses had their word at the hearing, including Monika Bickert, Head of Global Policy Management, Facebook; Juniper Downs, Global Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, YouTube; Carlos Monje, Director, Public Policy and Philanthropy, U.S. & Canada, Twitter; Clinton Watts, Robert A. Fox Fellow, Foreign Policy Research Institute.
We bet that Cruz will gain a few supporters here and there. He made a few good remarks, and let’s just say that many Americans liked his views.

CNN went to Downtown Youngstown and interviewed five Democrats who voted for Trump, they were trying to create the narrative that Trump supporters no longer support President Trump. When CNN Fake News's Martin Savidge asked, "We're one year ahead, how is he (Donald Trump) doing?" They all responded great or one person "Better than I have ever imagined."
CNN's Fake News Martin Savidge said, "What about the lies, do you think he is a liar." CNN's Martin Savidge is really trying hard to make Trump look bad but CNN is failing miserably. They all said he hasn't lied.
One Trump fan said, "Industries are booming, everywhere I look." CNN's Fake News Martin Savidge said, "If you look around here you don't see a boom." The Trump fan responded, "In small businesses they are starting to pick up." Fake News CNN's Martin Savidge said, "Does the media give the President a fair shake?" One Trump fan started laughing, and said not at all. As you can see, this is another desperate try to make Trump look bad after it turned out he is a stable genius.
This week marks the first full year of Donald Trump’s presidency. While the media would have you believe he is the worst president in history and his policies are literally destroying the world, the fact is, like him or not, the American people have had some really big wins this first year—and the biggest winners are moms!
For those of us who determined it a complete waste of time to try and navigate through the sea of nonsense to find the real news, I, as a mom, thought it prudent to give a true accounting of Trump’s first year—and why it was such a big year for moms.
Net Neutrality
Net Neutrality is a carefully crafted name which in practice did the exact opposite of anything neutral. In spite of the claims that is was about fairness, freedom, and low prices, it actually regulated something that was already free and restricted it—allowing the government to determine who succeeded and failed; who was allowed to use it and who wasn’t. This was a direct hit on moms who have become the biggest beneficiaries of the worldwide web.
Prior to the Industrial Revolution women often used their skills and talents to earn income. It helped support struggling families and allowed them opportunities to do what they enjoyed. It was the best anti-depressant for a tough life—doing what you love and sharing the rewards with your family. The Industrial Revolution brought new innovation and cheaper prices for products which made selling hand-made soap door to door less appealing to for the seller and less practical for the buyer. It wasn’t the end of homemade businesses but it certainly stunted the growth. Rosie the Riveter put a new face on women earning incomes and the sexual revolution thrust women outside the home to “make their own money”—often times doing things they didn’t enjoy—but it was income.
The internet changed all that. With Facebook, Etsy, Pinterest, EBay, and the myriad of other platforms available, the mom market has literally exploded. The little guy—or little gal in this case—was suddenly given a powerful platform to compete with the big boys—and win! Despite what Hillary Clinton and the radical feminists would have us believe, what mothers want most isn’t the right to kill their own offspring, but the opportunity to be with them.
When we founded HomeMakers for America in 2004 we would receive at least two to three emails a week from women wanting to know if we knew of any opportunities where they could work from home. Since then the internet has grown to epic proportions giving mothers the opportunity to use their talents, market their skills, and earn their own income, while still being home with their children. Net Neutrality was a government mandated mass of regulations with a bunch of people sitting around a table deciding who would and wouldn’t succeed, who could and couldn’t open businesses, and what those businesses could and couldn’t do. Of course big companies loved Net Neutrality—it allowed them to use the government to stifle competition. Brick and mortar stores are closing and downsizing all over the country because moms are highly successful in selling everything from clothes to candy from their kitchen tables via the internet. Brick and mortar stores are being driven to the internet by the market and forced to compete with moms like Victoria Molyneux who started selling dresses on Facebook so she could stay at home with her daughter and now runs a multi-million dollar label with A-list fans.
You know something hinky is going on when the big supporters of Net Neutrality are the government and big established corporations. Even my millennial son realized the fraud of Net Neutrality when he received an email from Netflix stating without Net Neutrality they wouldn’t have become the business they are today—even though they grew into the business they are today before Net Neutrality was ever conceived.
Ending Net Neutrality was a big win for the American people—especially the millions of mom bloggers, shoppers, and business owners that now thrive on a—once again—free and open market through the internet.
Taxes
No matter what anyone says or how the media tries to convince us otherwise, the American people pay way more than enough taxes! While the Tax Reform Bill passed by congress doesn’t come close to reaching my ideal tax plan (which includes repealing the 16th Amendment) it is a big step in the right direction (especially in today’s political climate) and another huge win for moms.
A few years ago I spoke with a mom from Ohio who was extremely frustrated after receiving a bill from her children’s public school for mandatory school fees and a list of supplies she was required to provide for each child. She had just returned from paying an accountant to help her navigate through an overcomplicated tax form. After calculating all the taxes she and her husband paid that year—federal income tax, state income tax, county income tax, property tax, and a tax to the city her husband worked in simply for the privilege of driving into work every day, they found they still owed $350. She was obviously frustrated and perplexed to receive a bill from the school. After paying all those taxes, and barely making ends meet, her obvious question was, “what exactly am I paying taxes for?”
Saying families are taxed to death is an understatement and moms really feel the pinch. Especially hard hit are single moms struggling to be everything for everyone. Many moms feel forced into the workplace to supplement a struggling family income and those who choose to work outside the home often have to work longer hours and harder shifts to make enough money to make it worth it.
The bottom line is, it’s our money. It is our life, time, and energy spent to earn it and our right to own it. Any policy that takes less tax money from families is a good policy that directly benefits moms. That makes moms the biggest winners of the Trump Tax Reform. And I personally am very much looking forward to spending half of that $1,000 bonus my husband is now getting.
Transgender bathrooms
When President Obama mandated schools in America to provide transgender bathrooms and locker rooms, moms came out in mass protest. We’d already been bombarded with Common Core and Comprehensive Sex Education. Forcing open-sex bathrooms on our children was the final straw.
It is important that we use correct language and empathy weighed against Constitutional authority when discussing this issue. Case in point, there is no such thing as a transgender bathroom because there is no bathroom with a transgender label on it. There are, however, unisex and family bathrooms available in many places which those struggling with gender identity can use. An open-sex bathroom policy is one that allows men to use women’s bathrooms and women to use men’s. It is as simple as that. If stores like Target want to create an environment that makes moms and children feel unsafe that is totally their right as a private business—just as it is my right to choose not to shop there. But when you are required by law to send your children to a publicly-funded, government-mandated school where you can be jailed and/or have children taken away for not sending them (unless you have a government-approved alternative) that is a much different issue.
Open sex bathrooms and locker rooms put all children in an unsafe environment where the potential for compromising situations increases dramatically. While President Obama decided to use our children as political pawns, President Trump decided to support moms and their children and revoked President Obama’s mandate.
It is important to understand that no president has the right or authority to force any school, school district or teacher to do anything. All the president can do is bribe or blackmail schools with our own tax money. Which is why we need to completely disband the Department of Education but that’s an article for another day. Bottom line is, President Obama threatened to withhold tax-payer money from schools that didn’t comply to his will and President Trump stated that would not be a requirement to schools receiving tax-payer money. Now the battle of the bathrooms is back in the local districts where it belongs and where we as moms are close enough to fight it. That is a huge win for moms.
I have a hard time believing President Trump hates women when he’s already done more to support women and women-owned businesses his first year in office than Hillary Clinton or feminism has done in my entire lifetime.
Let’s be clear (to coin a phrase) Trump is neither the savior nor the devil. He is just a man serving in a constitutional office. He, like anyone serving in public office, should be evaluated by his policies, not how many cokes he drinks, who enters a door first, or what shoes his wife wears.
Like him or not, whether you voted for him or not, you can’t deny there are great things happening in America. So let’s focus on the real news, measure Trumps performance in fairness and equity—weighing his policies next the Constitution, and give credit where credit is due

His defense lawyer was pretty clear in his opening statement.
There’s never been much dispute over whether Luis Bracamontes shot and killed two Sacramento-area deputies in October 2014.
He has repeatedly admitted to it in court hearings, and at the start of his trial Tuesday his own lawyer essentially convicted the illegal immigrant of killing Sacramento sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer sheriff’s Deputy Michael Davis Jr. in a daylong spree of violence that started in a Motel 6 parking lot near Arden Fair Mall.
“Let me be clear and up front,” public defender Jeffrey Barbour told the jury hearing his case. “Mr. Bracamontes is responsible for the death of Deputy Danny Oliver and Detective Michael Davis.
“He shot them both.”
Bracamontes is charged with killing two sheriff’s deputies, as well as shooting a motorist in the head to steal his car, and wounding a third deputy with a gunshot to the arm.
Bracamontes giggled through the proceedings and then made his own statement.
“I wish I had killed more of the mother——-,” he boasted to the jury as prosecutor Rod Norgaard described the outbreak of violence.
Smiling broadly, Bracamontes added, “I will break out soon and I will kill more, kill whoever gets in front of me … There’s no need for a f—— trial.”
That outburst led to Sacramento Superior Court Judge Steve White briefly removing the jury, then warning Bracamontes.
“You will not disrupt this trial, you will not speak out,” White told him. “If you do, you will be removed from the courtroom.”
Of course, the defense has tried to use the ‘mentally unfit to stand trial’ argument.
Barbour, who along with partner Norm Dawson has questioned Bracamontes’ sanity, then asked the judge to reconsider his finding that Bracamontes is mentally competent to stand trial.
“Your motion is denied,” White told Barbour. He then had the jury come back in and instructed them not to pay any attention to what had happened. All of them indicated they could do so, and Norgaard concluded his opening statement just before noon.
Barbour and Dawson then renewed their efforts, asking the judge outside the presence of the jury if they could enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
“We believe Mr. Bracamontes’ outbursts, his laughter, are a function of his mental illness,” Barbour said.
Bracamontes is facing either the death penalty or life in prison for his crimes. Oh, and so is his wife. It’s like a 2 for 1 deal.
Bracamontes, 37, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, is on trial along with his wife, Janelle Monroy, 41. She faces a possible sentence of life in prison.
Part of the evidence defense attorneys hope will spare Bracamontes from the death penalty is the fact that after his arrest a blood test found an “excessively high” amount of methamphetamine in his system that may have made him paranoid and agitated, and that he wrote a suicide note in the house where he holed up before surrendering to authorities.
“Forgive me, God,” the note read. “Please take me with you. I love you, Janelle.”
Prosecutors say the suicide note was written after Bracamontes turned on the burners of the home’s gas stove and tried to have it ignite to kill him and any officers who rushed in. Instead, Bracamontes crawled out of the house and surrendered meekly.
Bracamontes continued his outbursts throughout the proceedings.
As Norgaard described the ambush slaying of Oliver, he recounted how Oliver’s partner, Scott Brown, came under heavy fire as he emptied his 15-round clip at Bracamontes in the Motel 6 parking lot near Arden Fair Mall on Oct. 24, 2014.
Brown retreated under heavy fire, Norgaard said. As he talked, Bracamontes grinned and, finally could not restrain himself.
“Coward,” Bracamontes said of Brown, who had just seen his partner killed.
At one point, as Norgaard described the wounding of Jeff Davis (no relation to slain Deputy Michael Davis), Bracamontes interrupted again with, “Cause he’s stupid.”
That drew a sharp rebuke from the judge: “Be silent.” Source: The Sacramento Bee

That’s why the GOP want to enforce immigration laws. Not because we believe that every single person trying to come to the United States are criminals, but because some are.
That’s why it’s important to screen new immigrants. Just allowing anyone in because it ‘seems wrong’ to keep them out instead puts everyone at risk.
Go ahead and tell the loved ones suffering the loss of Deputy Oliver and Deputy Davis — their wives, kids, parents, siblings, and even their fellow officers — why we should let in more people the same way that Bracamontes came in.

Judicial Watch recently announced a federal judge ordered the State Department to speed up the release Hillary Clinton’s 72,000 pages of email records.
The records will be released September 28th, 2018 — not in 2020.

Fitton took to YouTube Monday to report Clinton, was “hiding everything on her private email server.”
The “everything,” Fitton is referring to may hold the key to a plethora of scandals surrounding Clinton, everything from the FBI’s handling of her email investigation to alleged pay-to-play scheme between the Clinton Foundation and State Department agencies. Fitton’s latest video begs the question: why is the Trump State Department taking its sweet time to release the rest of Clinton’s emails while she was Secretary of State?

Considering U.S. Strategic Objectives in Pakistan

And while the long term, geopolitical ramifications of such a bold move will not be known for years, the short term consequences are already starting to reverberate. A couple of days ago, Pakistan responded to the suspension of aid by halting the sharing of intelligence with the United States, a move meant to hurt the American-led coalition’s ability to execute counter-terrorism operations in neighboring Afghanistan. The partnership between Pakistan and the United States has always been a conundrum for occupants of the White House, especially since that part of the world has been in a constant state of upheaval following World War II. As Kevin Williamson put it, “Pakistan’s border with India has been a flashpoint since the 1940s and its border with Afghanistan has been very much on American strategic minds since 2001. But Pakistan also borders Iran and the Arabian Sea, and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir borders China. Everything Pakistan touches is of strategic interest to the United States.” Which leads to two important questions. Are President Donald Trump and his team trying to change the behavior of the government of Pakistan in order to get our “allies” to understand that their lax efforts to combat militants within their borders is not acceptable anymore? Or are they sending a stronger signal to Prime Minister Shadid Khawan Abbasi that Pakistan is no longer going to be a partner of the United States in the fight against terrorism? If the first question is the objective, then the Abbasi government must prove to the United States that it is taking a hardline, operational stance against terrorists. It seems as if the Pakistani government is already trying to quell U.S. anger as evidenced by yesterday’s meeting between State Department officials and a senior Pakistani envoy. The purpose of the meeting was to show U.S. diplomats that Pakistani law enforcement agencies are actively engaged in counter terrorism operations. Still, it will take more than one meeting to show the Trump administration that Pakistan has changed its stripes. However, if the purpose of suspending aid is to radically alter the diplomatic and military landscape of the region and pursue new partners, then President Trump, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and the rest of the national security team really need to think hard about the objectives they want to achieve. More importantly, they need to consider the second and third order effects of implementing such a radical policy change. That’s why it is important for Trump to understand that Pakistan will always do what is in the best interests of Pakistan. Pakistan developed nuclear weapons in direct contravention of U.S. law and then the father of the program worked with the governments of North Korea, Libya and Iran on their programs. While Pakistan is a nuclear power, it is also a weak state. It’s in America’s best interests to maintain a working relationship with the Abbasi government, and to provide humanitarian aid to the Pakistan people. At the same time, the trick is holding off on giving security assistance resources to the Pakistani government until Abbasi proves he’s actively taking the fight to the terrorists in his sovereign territory. Trump’s foreign policy gamble is a brash political move, and if played correctly, it has the potential to fundamentally change the internal policy of Pakistan. This temper tantrum became the archetype for the “resistance”movement, who simply oppose the President on every possible subject, in every possible way, for no reason other than he’s not liar-Hillary Clinton. by DAVID LIMBAUGH {wnd.com} ~ It would behoove President Trump to keep faith with his base and remain hardcore on his signature issue, immigration, both because it’s the right thing to do and because it’s the wisest political course.
Commentators are speculating as to Trump’s motives in conducting a televised bipartisan conference, during which he appeared open to solutions he had previously rejected. Was he using the meeting to contradict the picture author Michael Wolff painted of him in his new book, “Fire and Fury,” as being disengaged? Was he strategically presenting himself as more conciliatory for public consumption in anticipation of the inevitable battle over immigration reform? Or is he actually softening on this issue?
I don’t see why these choices are mutually exclusive. At least for a fleeting moment, he got some favorable press from his usual detractors for his bipartisan demeanor and his apparent ownership of the room. If optics were part of his calculation, then he also benefits from getting some of these Democrats to have endorsed, on the record, the notion of beefing up border security.
But if his performance was just posturing and he is still thoroughly hard-line on all aspects of the immigration issue, how do you explain his similar overtures on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program some months ago to Democrats Chuck clown-Schumer and Nancy Pulosi? How do you rationalize his comments that he is not adamant about a full-blown physical wall and that he would sign whatever bill they sent him?
In subsequent statements, he seemed to revert to a tougher position, for example, putting out this talking point, in all caps: “ANY DEAL ON DACA MUST END CHAIN MIGRATION, ELIMINATE THE VISA LOTTERY, AND FULLY SECURE THE BORDER, INCLUDING WITH A WALL.”
So, what do we make of all this? Some argue we shouldn’t read too much into Trump’s meeting, saying he was merely engaging in 4-D chess or “Art of the Deal” negotiations. I am skeptical about that, but if I’m wrong, I still believe he would be ill-advised to engage in such gamesmanship to the point of alienating his base.
Trump may be thinking that he has nothing to lose by pretending to have relaxed his position on DACA because he knows Democrats will never compromise on any enforcement conditions in exchange – that this can only help his image and won’t hurt him because it will never happen. To the contrary, it very well may hurt him with his base.
This is because many of the most intense members of Trump’s base will probably reject any compromise on DACA, even if in exchange he secures all the other concessions – the wall, beefing up border forces, ending chain migration and the visa lottery, and instituting E-Verify – with the possible exception of a watered-down version of DACA amnesty that precludes any path to a green card or voting, a feature of the proposed Goodlatte bill in Congress.
Many Trump critics counter that his base is ideologically rudderless and will cultishly follow him regardless of his policies. Perhaps some will, but many know exactly why they voted for Trump, and though draining the swamp was part of it, so was an America-first philosophy, which Trump would abandon at his peril.
This philosophy promotes America and Americans first – from ending illegal immigration to bolstering domestic energy to having fewer American boots on foreign ground to getting better trade deals to providing corporate and individual tax relief to growing the economy and jobs to rebuilding our military and otherwise reinvigorating our national security against all threats, including terrorism, to restoring market forces to fixing health care.
Though I don’t agree with every aspect of the agenda e.g., trade protectionism, America-firsters are adamant about protecting America’s sovereignty and security and American workers. They are committed to thwarting the Democrats’ transparent scheme, in the name of compassion, to relax and eliminate immigration enforcement and to expand amnesty to import and empower millions of new Democratic voters. They are also serious about the rule of law, which is undermined every time amnesty legislation is passed. Not only did Barack liar-nObama ratify acts of illegal immigration with DACA; he also flouted the Constitution by accomplishing through an administrative program that which he had repeatedly admitted was the sole prerogative of Congress.
Even Trump’s critics admit that he had a successful first year on policy. He needs to remember that his future success depends not on pacifying an implacable Democratic Party but on fulfilling his promises and advancing his agenda. Policy success breeds electoral success. A great economy and more secure America will compensate for a lot of self-inflicted tweet damage.
I don’t know for certain where Trump’s heart is on immigration or whether he’s being pressured by family and some advisers to moderate. Nor do I know how firmly conservative he is, but I do believe he has been moving in that direction and, more importantly, primarily governing as a conservative, and that’s why he has been so successful.
It is not Trump’s tweets, if anything, that could jeopardize his re-election but getting in bed with Democrats on their issues or cooperating with the very establishment he has promised to uproot.
If Trump betrays his base on his signature issue hoping to thereby expand his base, he will have a very difficult time being re-elected. He will never get liberals to vote for him, no matter how many concessions he makes, and in the process, he will lose the intensity radiating from his base.
I have doubted him several times before, so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one and simply encourage him to remember those who brought him to the dance, to keep honoring his promises and to continue governing as a conservative.

California's Crude Court Attack on Oil Companies

Nevertheless, last year a slew of money-grabbing opportunists along the California coastline began targeting BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell in court, where they are trying to compel said oil companies to fund climate change mitigation. Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Imperial Beach along with Santa Cruz, Marin and San Mateo Counties argue that they shouldn’t be financially liable for erecting infrastructure to combat sea level rise. Instead, the municipalities contend, the funding should be seized from oil companies, wherein the fault allegedly lies.
Successfully litigating a blockbuster attack on oil companies won’t be easy, particularly with what Exxon has dug up. While the plaintiffs point to an admonition from November in which, according to The Wall Street Journal, “Moody’s Investors Service flagged environmental disruptions as a ‘growing negative credit factor’ for coastal municipalities and said it would adjust its ratings methodology to take climate change into account,” Exxon has just retaliated with its own court filing by exposing some damning hypocrisy. When it came to persuading their own investors, these municipalities kept their mouths shut and looked the other way. For example, the Journal notes: San Francisco’s lawsuit said it faced “imminent risk of catastrophic storm surge flooding,” while a general obligation bond offering last year said the city “is unable to predict whether sea-level or rise or other impacts of climate change … will occur.” Santa Cruz County said in its complaint it was experiencing more frequent and extreme droughts, precipitation events, heat waves and wildfires, and faced a 98% chance of a “devastating” three-foot flood by 2050. Yet a bond offering last year mentioned only “unpredictable climatic conditions, such as flood, droughts and destructive storms” as a risk factor. How can these municipalities claim to be under imminent threat and expect oil companies to foot the bill when, in truth, they are lying to their own investors for the sake of business interests? Just another example of “Do as I say, not as I do.” Meanwhile, the anti-oil-company bandwagon continues to grow. This week, New York City took legal action against the same oil companies. According to the lawsuit, “In this litigation, the City seeks to shift the costs of protecting the City from climate change impacts back onto the companies that have done nearly all they could to create this existential threat.” Moreover, The Washington Post reports that “officials said they expect to divest up to $5 billion in investments from as many as 190 companies with fossil fuel ties, even as they promised to maintain their fiduciary duty to New York’s pensioners.” It’s worth noting that analogous climate lawsuits against corporate entities have failed. And these should too. A New York Post editorial appropriately asks, “Why should the oil companies pay? The Democrats are threatening to shut down the government if they don't get their way on allowing kids brought here illegally by their illegal immigrant parents to stay in America. President Donald Trump is trying to deal with securing the borders and this endless chain of illegal migration to our nation. There is a relatively small group of people who are affected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals that the previous "president" put into place. By some accounts there are roughly 700,000. Pew Research estimates that 70,000 were rejected from the program, and 40,000 obtained a green card. Notwithstanding, this group of people and what to do with them is causing yet another meltdown among leftists.
Immigration law firms and advocacy groups put actual eligibility numbers higher at around 1.8 million. Many argue that it is unfair to deport these mostly adult children of illegals since they have grown up here in America. Others argue that they are here illegally, many break the law, some take jobs that legal citizens need, and they are generally a tax burden because of their dependence on welfare and other social programs. The liberal CATO Institute puts DACA incarcerations at 12% less than the average US population. From 2013-2017, about 2,200 DACA recipients were revoked because of alien smuggling, assault, domestic violence, sex offenses, drug offenses, weapons, robberies and gang activity.
President Trump is trying to get funding for his border security wall and Democrats have made DACA recipients leverage for gaining Democratic votes. Of course, the Democrats and the mainstream media seem to think these children of illegals, who are now mostly adults, are the sacred citizens of the new American democracy where everyone should have a vote-illegal or not. These Democrats, socialists, communists, leftists are attempting to hold the entire nation's border security ransom to a small group of people who are illegally in America. It's all an extension of the plan to remake America into something it never was intended to be. These radicals label as racist anyone who would oppose DACA.
The Bible is clear about how to handle immigrants. Exodus 22:21 says, "You shall neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him." This is repeated in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. In context, Exodus 12:49 says, "One law shall be to him that is home-born, and unto the foreigner who sojourns among you." This is also repeated in Numbers and Leviticus.One law for all. In this context it is God's law, but these people neither want to submit to the laws of the nation or to God's laws, and most do not want to assimilate into the culture of our nation. If they are here illegally, they have broken the law as their first act. Hard as it is, lawmakers must address this, otherwise our country is in danger of becoming a lawless society.
