The healthcare ruse

The House barely passed a bill last week touted as the end of socialist healthcare in America. The American Health Care Act now moves to the Senate where politicians are hopeful it will pass and then be signed into law by President Donald Trump. Those who have their party hats on and are about to celebrate the end of socialist healthcare in America, shouldn't be so quick to hand out party favors. The American Health Care Act is a replacement of socialist healthcare, not a repeal of it. Yes, it gets rid of most of the tax penalties for not participating, and it gives some tax credits to encourage participation, but it still is a socialist concept where the government has its nose in your private health business.

This bill defunds Planned Parenthood-for a year. That's enough for all the pro-life politicians to say they voted to defund Planned Parenthood, the world's largest provider of abortions. But it's just for a year. And the way the abortion mill gets around the ban on tax-funded abortions is by separating out Planned Parenthood's abortion franchise from other so-called health services it ostensibly provides. Government funding after the year's delay can be given back to Planned Parenthood so long as the money doesn't directly go to performing abortions. One could argue convincingly, however, that any money going to Planned Parenthood assists them in performing abortions-just keeping the lights on helps them.

While the replacement of socialist healthcare is a step in the right direction, the government should not be involved in mandating healthcare. It should be in the business of limited regulation for safety purposes, and it surely should regulate the drug companies for their massive campaigns of drug pushing and trying to disclaim their products by listing all the side affects-as if that should get them off the hook when people become even sicker after taking these drugs. If the government is concerned about 20 million people who can't afford health insurance, it should figure out a way to provide for that 5% of the population without taking over the industry. Which brings me to the point of the Church in America.

When I was growing up in rural Ohio, before there was Medicare, Medicaid and health insurance for all, people were on their own. When they got sick or a tragedy occurred, our community, led by our community church, helped them-whether they were members or not. Then along came the government with welfare, healthcare, childcare and whatever other form of care. The churches seemed to gladly give up their responsibilities to the government. In that, a tremendous blessing of loving and caring for one another was mostly lost. Today, most of us don't even know who our neighbors are. In Matthew 25, Jesus taught the parable of feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and visiting the sick. In Verse 40 he said, "Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me." Just saying.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Catholic School Hit for Canceling LGBT Play for 5-Year-Olds

LGBT Canadians are furious after a Catholic school district canceled performances of a play about gender identity — meant for children as young as 5 years old.

“I fear these cancellations may be based on misinformation, grown out of fear, intolerance, transphobia, homophobia and misogyny,” wrote Jessica Carmichael, the artistic director of the Carousel Playhouse.

The playhouse had been scheduled to perform a play called, Boys, Girls and Other Mythological Creatures. The show had already been booked in five elementary schools in the Niagara Catholic School District.

The play features an 8-year-old boy who dresses as a girl and questions his gender, The Globe and Mail reports . . .

It turns out the Canadian government believes it’s appropriate to discuss transgenderism with small children — without their parents being present. I’m surprised the actors didn’t try to give the kids condoms. Turning ‘Extra’ Embryos Into Jewelry: We Must Stop Manufacturing Children

I could not swallow the horror I felt as I read this story. Thanks to a jewelry company called Baby Bee Hummingbirds, a couple in Australia has turned their seven “extra” embryos conceived through IVF into a necklace. Yes, you heard me. The mother is wearing her babies around her neck.

Most people do not understand why the Catholic Church refuses to approve the practice of in-vitro fertilization, or any form of artificial insemination, or any method of conception at all apart from sexual intercourse. The Church teaches that all such means of conception are morally wrong. The reasons are profound, thoughtful and humble. If you’d like to hear it from the horse’s mouth, read this, especially CCC 2375 – 2378.

But allow me to say it succinctly this way: What you manufacture, you own. It belongs to you, and you call the shots with authority. What you manufacture, you can control.

THAT is precisely why it is morally wrong to manufacture children. Many people will object to the word “manufacture” here, but it’s the only accurate term. Babies are ordered up and created in a lab, purchased and paid for by adults who have commissioned their creation. That’s manufacturing.

Babies are not ours to control. Human life is not ours to manipulate in that way. We have no right to create life, keep it in some suspended animation, and then decide to destroy it whenever it suits us. We are not God.

We do not own our children. We have no claim on their lives. It is not for us to decide whether they live or die and when. The Lord God is the giver and creator of life. We can only receive our children as gifts. No one can demand a gift, or claim any right to receive a gift.

Assuming the Prerogative of God

It is proper and good for a husband and wife to desire children, since that is precisely the purpose of marriage. Children are the gift and fruit of marriage; the visible result of married love as God intended. I don’t minimize the heartache and pain of couples who are unable to naturally conceive a child. Such infertility is a heavy cross to bear.

Even so, we are not justified in using any means necessary to create a child. Our longing is not a free pass to assume for ourselves the prerogative of God.

But, you may say, God has blessed our modern medicine with such amazing capabilities! How could it be wrong to avail ourselves of what modern medicine can do?

Because God has ordained marital intercourse as the method and means of procreation. It should be evident by now that bad things result when we separate sex from babies. When we believe we have the right and authority to decide when a child is conceived, how a child is conceived, and even whether or not that conceived child gets to keep living, we have grievously sinned.

We are no longer seeing the child as a human person; a gift from God. Rather, we have turned the child into a thing we can manipulate according to our own desires. We take the child as our right to have or not have as we wish. We demand new life, and destroy new life, when it pleases us.

Where’s the Humanity?

This couple in Australia said that donating those embryos “was not an option.” Why not? Why was life not an option? Seven human beings were denied the chance to live, after having been manufactured at their parents’ request, and are now mummified and encapsulated in a crystal heart on a chain. They’ve been turned into an ornament. An adornment. A thing.

See what I mean? What you manufacture, you own. You control. By that thinking, those babies had no inherent, inviolable right to live if their parents did not wish to have them.

The article also says the couple felt “the annual storage fee was an added financial strain, and disposing of them unimaginable.” We’ve made them, but now it’s just too expensive to keep them. So the babies must go away.

I am glad that “disposing of them” was unimaginable. Just typing the phrase “disposing of them” makes me want to vomit. But really, are those seven babies any less dead and disposed of now, hanging around their mother’s neck as an accessory? No, they weren’t rinsed down the drain. But their humanity was not respected.

Babies are Not a Commodity

We cannot afford to be lulled by sentimentalism. This is not honoring of human life. But this sort of thing will become more and more popular, and more people will celebrate this as a beautiful memorial, a truly special way to “keep” those precious babies you just couldn’t let live but didn’t want to “dispose of.”

I’m sorry, but it isn’t beautiful at all. It’s macabre. And I’ll say it — it’s depraved.

We simply must find the courage to recognize how wrong we are to treat human life this way. We may believe our intentions are good and right, but our actions are not justified. We keep pushing the envelope farther and farther, awarding to ourselves more and more power, more and more “rights,” yet we fail to recognize how we dehumanize our children. Pride is urging us to make ourselves like gods, and modern medicine cheers us on.

Just because we can do something, it does not follow that we ought to do it, or that we have any right to do it. Nowhere is this truth more immovable than as it applies to human life. Babies are not a commodity, and we have no right to manufacture them at will. No one — absolutely no one — has any right to a child.

The very same reasoning that approves of IVF condones abortion. They are two sides of the same coin. That will be a bitter pill for many to swallow, and I don’t say that viciously. But we must honestly confront the mess we’ve made.

There should never be any such thing as an “extra” embryo. (For more from the author of “Turning ‘Extra’ Embryos Into Jewelry: We Must Stop Manufacturing Children” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/05/turning-extra-embryos-jewelry-must-stop-manufacturing-children/

Tensions are rising across the country as people take to the streets to demand the government secede from power. However, many protests are met with violence from police and government-run gangs known as colectivos.

According to the Associated Press, clashes between police and protesters have left 38 dead in the past month.

ABC, CNN, CBS, NBC would not cover much of the truth of what is currently happening in Venezuela. Because it goes against everything they have been working toward these last 40 - 50 years. To them, Socialism is a success story. At least that is what ABC, CNN, CBS, NBC want YOU to believe.

ANYONE who HAS conventional Christian Belief just HAS to recognize that from the time that, as 'The Son of Man', Jesus said these words: "Whenever Two or More are gathered together, in my name, I WILL be amongst them": and, "The greatest commandment of ALL, You MUST Love and Care FOR each other As I HAVE Loved and Cared for You": he was referring to a Socialist or a COMMUNE-ist State of Being. I did NOT make reference to 'communism', IF you were able to make out that which I put into capital letters: COMMUNES are where people work and play TOGETHER, in HARMONY, without HAVING to concern themselves with financial considerations. In fact, the ACCUMULATION of money in the hands of a minute minority of THIS 'worlds' population has invariably led to so much deprivation and in-equality among, by far the GREATER Majority of Human-Kind, it IS a fundamental root CAUSE of so much EVIL IN...

Yes, but only IN this 'world'. However, I have VERY strong reasons for why I KNOW that in THESE very times We ARE in the FINAL milliseconds of THIS 'world' and, IF you ARE fully conversant with Biblical text, you would be aware of the fact that to Divinity one day is NOT 24 hours: not even 1,000 years. It does not actually specify HOW long a Divine Day IS. Many believe that the 6 days were completed a VERY long time ago. Unfortunately, those who believe THAT are SO sadly mistaken. THIS...

Seriously? What opposition has he restricted? And he hasn't restricted the free press. Looks like to me that the press is alive and well. Not that you can call it the press now, just a medium to spout off reporters opinions. Where do you get these stupid ideas? The only ones I see restricting opposition are the radical left. They show up and intimidate and terrorize where ever conservatives are.

Conservative Media Don’t Get Free Pass on Disclosure. Here’s Why

Sometimes things are not completely as they seem. Take, for instance, the story of the African-American conservative columnist who is no longer writing a column for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The narrative is that she was suspended for her conservative beliefs and chose to quit. While she is absolutely right about the MSM and its treatment of gun owners, is there more to the discipline of Stacy Washington than an anti-conservative bias? There may be, and it is something we should want applied across the board.

Let’s back up. Recently, Washington wrote an excellent column regarding the media and its treatment of conservatives, especially gun owners. Her points were unassailable: that the media doesn’t understand those who own guns; that the media blames guns for crime instead of the real causes.

She took particular umbrage at a column appearing in the Columbia Missourian that attacked NRA members. She correctly stated that members of the NRA tend to be more law-abiding than the general public and that none of the crimes the other columnist mentioned were committed by NRA members. She also took to task the Missourian for not offering opposing viewpoints. These are all valid points.

If we are to believe the people who run the Post-Dispatch, those points aren’t what drew the suspension. Washington’s failure to disclose, in her column, that she has a long-standing relationship with the NRA is what caused her suspension. She has appeared on NRA video programming and in a documentary for the organization. The Post-Dispatch, like many news and opinion organizations, has a disclosure policy.

Here’s what the Post-Dispatch told Washington via email, according to the Riverfront Times: “You did not disclose in your column published today that you served multiple times as a co-host and commentator on Cam & Company on NRA TV.” Washingon told the Times that she had “never been paid by the NRA.” She also said her ties to the organization should be no surprise to management.

That isn’t the point. The point is that her readers, not Post-Dispatch management, are the ones who had a right to know about the conflict. When Conservative Review ran an editorial supporting Jim DeMint this past week, it was noted that the author had previously worked for DeMint. The readers had a right to know.

Those of us on the right often lambaste the mainstream media for not abiding by this standard. Just this week, I reminded readers of the time George Stephanopoulos didn’t disclose his donations to the Clinton Foundation when interviewing Hillary Clinton.

Stephanopoulos failed to disclose to ABC [and the networks viewers] that he had donated $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation before interviewing Hillary Clinton, against company policy, the Washington Free Beacon reported. After finally disclosing, he had to step down from hosting a primary debate.

If we are going to attack the leftist media, we need to hold our own to the same standards. There may be more historical bad blood between Washington and her former employer. If, however, we take the Post-Dispatch at its word that it has treated other employees in the same way, we should ensure that our allies in the commentariat follow the standards we hold others to.

Washington’s voice is strong, and much needed, but we should hold her to the same standards to which we hold someone like George Stephanopoulos. FBI Email Exposes Attorney General Promise to Protect Hillary Clinton From Criminal Charges

Virtually unnoticed by the majority of corporate media, on Wednesday — in a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the FBI’s oversight of an investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails — Director James Comey revealed a murky effort as outlined in an undisclosed document by Attorney General Loretta Lynch or her associates to ensure the former presidential candidate would not be charged.

No matter what was divined during that investigation, this peculiar document apparently evinced the thwarting by Lynch and associates of any effort to hold Clinton accountable.

But Comey, mildly recalcitrant in testimony due to the classified nature of ongoing investigations, refused to reveal any details about the ostensible document — or about why Lynch would have employed such extreme protectionism on the topic of Clinton.

A report from the New York Times last month first discussed the ostensible contents of this mystery document and its implications, stating it appeared Comey and his associates harbored misgivings about the oversight of their bosses at the Justice Department — and whether or not their biases would allow for a neutral probe.

Speaking on condition of anonymity with more than 30 current and former law enforcement, congressional, and other officials, the Times found Comey’s quasi-rogue attitude toward supervisory departments and tradition of bureau secrecy caused friction between the DOJ and FBI — and extended specifically to his direct boss, Lynch.

Lynch, the Times inquiry found, refused even to allow Comey to publicly term the probe of Clinton an “investigation” — over fears such semantics would prejudice the public against the former secretary of state.
“His misgivings were only fueled by the discovery last year of a document written by a Democratic operative that seemed — at least in the eyes of Mr. Comey and his aides — to raise questions about her independence. In a bizarre example of how tangled the F.B.I. investigations had become, the document had been stolen by Russian hackers,” the Times reported.

Of course, the theory Russian hackers actively subverted the U.S. presidential election — enjoining willing and tacit participants in a scheme to both leak information and insert pro-Russian, anti-Clinton propaganda — has never been unassailably proven.

Nevertheless, the Times reports officials from the U.S. Intelligence Community were, at times, privy to information hacked by The Russians — and even received a cache of hacked documents for perusal.

That Lynch, or someone close to her, intended to undertake a Herculean effort to ensure Hillary Clinton would survive the crucial probe over wrongdoings and misbehavior — as putatively revealed in this undisclosed, explosive document — comprised one bit of information seen by the Russians, Comey worried. Continued the Times report,

The document, which has been described as both a memo and an email, was written by a Democratic operative who expressed confidence that Ms. Lynch would keep the Clinton investigation from going too far, according to several former officials familiar with the document.

Read one way, it was standard Washington political chatter. Read another way, it suggested that a political operative might have insight into Ms. Lynch’s thinking.

Normally, when the F.B.I. recommends closing a case, the Justice Department agrees and nobody says anything. The consensus in both places was that the typical procedure would not suffice in this instance, but who would be the spokesman?

The document complicated that calculation, according to officials. If Ms. Lynch announced that the case was closed, and Russia leaked the document, Mr. Comey believed it would raise doubts about the independence of the investigation.

Even the very existence of this damning document has never been proven — perhaps due to its incendiary contents.

At Wednesday’s hearing, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley referenced the New York Times’ article in questioning Comey, stating it “reportedly provided assurances that Attorney General Lynch would protect Secretary Clinton by making sure the FBI investigation ‘didn’t go too far.’”

“How, and when, did you first learn of this document? Also, who sent it and who received it?” Grassley queried the FBI chief.

“That’s not a question I can answer in this forum, Mr. Chairman, because it would call for a classified response,” Comey stymied. “I have briefed leadership of the intelligence committees on that particular issue, but I can’t talk about it here.”

Grassley, not content at the stonewall tactic, pressed further in a similar vein, asking,

What steps did the FBI take to determine whether Attorney General Lynch had actually given assurances that the political fix was in no matter what? Did the FBI interview the person who wrote the email? If not, why not?

Comey balked, however, refusing on the same grounds his answer would be considered classified — and maintained that position, even when Grassley noted the FBI had yet to answer the Committee’s request to view the contentious document, described occasionally as an email, replying,

I’m not confirming there was an email, sir. I can’t — the subject is classified and in an appropriate forum I’d be happy to brief you on it. But I can’t do it in an open hearing.

Lynch’s apparent loyalty to Clinton came into sharp focus on a number of occasions — including in a private meeting on an airport tarmac between herself and former President Bill Clinton — amid the ongoing investigation of Secretary Clinton, which Lynch at least semantically opposed.

Senator John Cornyn, in questioning Comey, pointed to both the unrevealed email or document and the tarmac meeting that exploded international ire for its brazen indiscretion, stating,

[I]t was the former attorney general Loretta Lynch, who up until that meeting with President Clinton, was the person responsible for making the decision whether to convene a grand jury involving the allegations against Secretary Clinton. And it was former attorney general Loretta Lynch who apparently forbade you from using the word investigation. Indeed, if the New York Times story is true, a Democratic operative expressed confidence that the former attorney general would keep that investigation from going very far.

With the FBI still looking into the campaigns and communications of Clinton, the document in question — and its likely damning contents pegging the U.S. Attorney General responsible for abating efforts to levy charges as needed against the former secretary of state — could prove combustible, if not detrimental, to assumed neutrality of high-level investigators in preeminent law enforcement agencies.

James Comey maintains the bureau “made right decisions” in its investigations, no matter the alleged ambivalence from his boss, Loretta Lynch — but, in order to earn the trust of Congress and the American public, it would behoove the FBI or any other entity in possession of the startling document to reveal its contents to the world.

Until then, flagrant and surreptitious stonewalling of the FBI’s probe, as controvertible then as at present, will paint the top law enforcement agency’s efforts against Clinton as an impotent remnant of failed presidential aspirations — but further evidence that family’s dynasty had been gifted impunity of steel from its nascent days in Arkansas. Federal Suit Hits Soros for $10 Billion For “Political Meddling…Motivated Solely by Malice”

Billionaire globalist and altogether controversial figure, George Soros, is now the subject of a $10 billion lawsuit accusing him of being a “racketeer billionaire” for meddling in the affairs of a sovereign African nation — purely for personal reasons — in what critics say typifies his modus operandi.

For those who skimmed that first sentence, yes, that’s Billion — with an emphatic capital “B.”

FOX News reports the 86-year-old financier and manager of a global network of nonprofits will be forced by BSG Resources’ lawsuit to answer for manipulating the politics and economics of Guinea for his own benefit.

“Soros was motivated solely by malice,” BSGR states in the suit, “as there was no economic interest he had in Guinea.”

Despite Soros’ often contentious dealings and reputation as a pompous busybody, last month’s filing in New York Federal Court has thus far largely escaped the spotlight.

“Companies controlled by Israeli mining magnate Beny Steinmetz sued fellow billionaire George Soros, claiming he cost them at least $10 billion through a defamation campaign that stripped them of rights to an iron ore deposit in Guinea and other business opportunities around the world,” Bloomberg reported.

Soros funded law firms, transparency groups, investigators and government officials in Guinea in a coordinated effort to ensure BSG Resources Ltd. lost the rights to the Simandou deposit in April 2014, BSGR said in a complaint filed [April 14] in Manhattan federal court.

Interestingly, as opposed to innumerable civilians directly affected by Soros’ notoriously shady string-pulling, the lawsuit originates with the billionaire’s peers — who claim his monied influence bilked them of at least as many billions as claimed.
“To Soros, Steinmetz’s success, as well as his active, passionate promotion of Israeli life, business and culture are anathema,” the lawsuit states. “Soros is also well known for his long-standing animus toward the state of Israel.”

Steinmetz was arrested in December 2016 over allegations he and BSGR forked over millions in bribes to government officials for mining rights on Simandou — but those charges had been based on “fabricated reports by Soros-funded companies,” BSGR explains in its suit.

Bloomberg notes Mamadie Toure, the fourth wife of the former president of Guinea, “who implicated BSGR and Steinmetz, received $50,000 from an adviser to President Alpha Conde and $80,000 from an ‘agent or affiliate of Soros,’ according to the complaint.”

States the lawsuit, “Soros’s financial clout gave him power over Guinea’s processes of government, which he then thoroughly abused” — and only as a matter of enmity, since the obscenely wealthy globalist stood to gain nothing economically in the Western African nation.

Iron ore from the untapped Simandou is thought to be of the highest grade in the industry, with reserves estimated to comprise over two billion tons — making this legal brawl among tycoons a matter of grave financial consequence — at least, to those other than Soros.

Years of allegations and accusations of underhanded business affairs between BSGR and Soros had not led the company to take direct action until now. In its complaint, “BSGR alleges that Soros was driven by a grudge dating back to 1998 around a business in Russia and his alleged hostility towards Israel.”

Indeed, accusations the Hungarian-American regularly disguises shady political maneuvers as humanitarian in nature — when the contrary tends to be true.

Among many other entities, Soros’ Open Society Foundations — an umbrella over multiple ostensibly beneficial organizations — has long been suspected of funding and training political movements toward ends favorable to the globalist.

Even officials from his homeland of Hungary affirm this, as top education official, Minister of Human Capacities Zoltan Balog, asserting recently, as quoted by FOX,

We are committed to use all legal means at our disposal to stop pseudo-civil society spy groups such as the ones funded by George Soros.

Soros reaches deep into personal financial reserves during U.S. elections, often spending ample funds for desirable candidates in every level, from District Attorneys to presidential hopefuls — and frequently bequeaths millions to contenders on both sides of the aisle.

In fact, Soros’ undeniable influence over American politics will be central to BSGR’s case against him, as the suit claims sway over the U.S. Department of Justice after it sided with the billionaire on the bribery issue.

J. Christian Adams, former Obama-era DOJ attorney, told FOX the system had been ‘at Soros’ beck and call,’ noting he had been instrumental in reforming police procedures and in bringing about changes to voter ID laws. Adams told the outlet,

Soros’ organizations in the U.S. were instrumental in shaping DOJ policy under the Obama administration.

Americans do not understand the extent to which Soros fuels this anti-constitutional, anti-American agenda.

A spokesperson for Soros told FOX the lawsuit is a diversionary tactic for the company, as BSGR only wishes to deflect from its own wrongdoing.

Whatever the ultimate outcome of the BSGR lawsuit, it’s clear the planet can no longer stomach the parlor game attitude Soros effects when meddling in the affairs of sovereign nations, entities, and individuals.

In the Age of Information, and with the wealth of information available online, bottomless pockets like Soros’ can no longer pull puppet strings without someone, somewhere taking notice — and moving to sever the ties for good. China issued 'last warning' to N. Korea
over nukes: Chinese social media
by Eom Da-sol

{koreatimes.co.kr} ~ China has sent a final warning to North Korea over its military provocations, according to unconfirmed rumors spreading widely on Chinese social media Tuesday... Chinese news outlets have previously said Beijing could turn its back on Pyongyang if the latter conducted a sixth nuclear test. But the rumor that China has given North Korea a final warning has drawn particular interest from Weibo users. China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the meeting and asked his junior to read aloud the warning to the North over the nuclear test. The memorandum mentioned that China will condemn strongly, pull back on all economic cooperation and even blockade North Korea if it conducted the test... http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2017/05/103_228717.html

{aim.org} ~ There are many variations of this Latin proverb, but this specific one appears on the gates of Honor Hill at Ft. Benning Georgia, where US Army Infantrymen receive the venerable “cross rifles” insignia... The U.S. infantry has two simple words as its motto: “Follow Me.” Those words have true meaning and having been forged in the crucible of combat where they are indicative of determined, resolute leadership in adverse situations. Perhaps the entire House and Senate GOP should attend Boot Camp at Ft. Benning, Georgia and be infused with such rigor and resilience. It was the Republican Party who stated, “Follow Me” by giving us the House, the US Senate, and the White House…and we will achieve our objectives. It appears once again, these were empty, hollow words as reflected in another eschewing of fundamental constitutional conservative principles and values...http://www.aim.org/guest-column/its-time-for-me-to-talk-about-2018/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=Daily%20Email%20May-05-2017&utm_medium=email

US warplanes among those barred from flying
over Syria's 'safe zones' in proposal
{foxnews.com} ~ U.S. and coalition military planes will not be allowed to fly over designated "safe zones" in Syria under a Russian proposal that has the backing of Iran and Turkey, reports said Friday... The reports did not indicate how the airspace would be enforced and the overall proposal appeared to be a work in progress. Russian official Alexander Lavrentyev suggested in peace talks on Friday that all military aircraft -- including Russian and Turkish -- would also be barred from the designated zones. Under the Russian plan, President Bashar Assad's air force would halt flights over the safe zones... http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/05/05/report-russia-says-syria-safe-zoneshttp://video.foxnews.com/v/5423064739001-will-be-shut-for-us-warplanes.html

{defenddemocracy.org} ~ With Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas set to visit the White House on Wednesday, speculation is rife that later this year President Donald Trump will seek to enlist a group of Sunni Arab states in efforts to jumpstart moribund Israeli-Palestinian peace talks... Think not only Egypt and Jordan, countries that already have treaties with Israel, but also countries still technically at war with the Jewish state, like Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. But as someone who’s watched the never-ending saga otherwise known as the Middle East peace process up close for a quarter century, I’d urge great caution. While I agree wholeheartedly that a historic opportunity may now exist to advance relations between Israel and several of its Arab neighbors, it would be unfortunate to squander it in service of efforts to solve a maddeningly intractable conflict that has defied resolution for nearly 70 years — and whose current prospects for progress are probably as bleak as they’ve been in a generation... http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hit/john-hannah-dont-waste-arab-israeli-cooperation-on-the-israeli-palestinian-peace-proces/

 by Minister Michael Brown
{wnd.com} ~ I find it ironic that those who claim to be enlightened and open-minded, at the same time attacking conservatives like me as bigoted and close-minded, refuse to engage me in debate or dialogue.

There was a gay Jewish leader I interacted with on Twitter. He made some bogus claims about God having multiple genders in the Hebrew Scriptures, and when I asked him for one single reference, he could provide none. But all the while, he kept mocking my position.

When he attacked my viewpoint a week or two later, I invited him to join me on the air to debate the issues, since he claimed I was misrepresenting ancient Jewish sources. I told him that as a practicing homosexual, he was violating the Torah.

He said he would not come on the air to increase my platform.

I replied to him that, by God’s grace, I had an excellent platform already and was inviting him to join me on that platform.

He refused.

I said to him, “Then how about we talk privately, off the air, by phone?”

Silence.

But I wasn’t surprised. This is the kind of thing I’ve become used to.

A few years ago, after I was on Piers Morgan’s show and got into a lively interchange with Marc Lamont Hill, we interacted briefly on Twitter.

Would he like to have a formal debate with me on the issues we discussed?

He expressed openness to do so, and I said let’s do it.

Silence.

Not a word of interaction from him since then.

Then there was Montel Williams.

He responded to my “Open Letter to Megyn Kelly,” which referenced a segment they did together, and then I wrote a response to his response. After this, his assistant and my assistant interacted. We were told he would be happy to join me on the air and have a friendly debate about our differences, but only after he took care of some family commitments, which would run into the next month.

That was almost one year ago now, and we’ve not heard back from his team since then.

Just silence.

This is a recurring sound.

Then there was the liberal university professor writing for Huffington Post who stated expressly that she wanted to talk with white, evangelical Christians who voted for Trump.

I wrote a long response to her article, saying to her throughout, “Let’s talk.”

I tweeted to her before and after writing; I linked my response to her; and my office reached out to hers privately.

Silence.

And remember: The purpose of this professor’s article was to find someone like me willing to talk with her. Yet when I reached out to her, she never replied. Not even a, “No thank you.”

Why?

Then there was gay journalist and radio host Michelangelo Signorile.

Also writing for what is now called HuffPost, he referred to conservative Christians who opposed redefining marriage as “religious extremists,” to which I wrote a reply titled, “To Gay Journalist Michelangelo Signorile: Let’s Have A Civil Debate.”

Here’s how I closed my article:
These are critically important issues facing our society, and we both agree that they are not going away any time soon. Why don’t we have a civil, public debate and discuss these issues in a moderated forum, hopefully doing so in a way that will further serious discussion and reflection in the midst of our differences, committing to conduct the debate without vitriol or histrionics?

You just wrote a new book titled “It’s Not Over: Getting Beyond Tolerance, Defeating Homophobia, and Winning True Equality.”

I just wrote a new book from the exact opposite perspective, titled “Outlasting the Gay Revolution: Where Homosexual Activism Is Really Going and How to Turn the Tide.” To be clear, when I say the exact opposite perspective, I do not mean cultivating hatred or mistreatment of gays; to the contrary, I call on my side to take the highest moral ground and merge love together with truth.

You have a national radio show, and I have a national radio show. In fact, it appears that from 3-4 p.m., EDT, we’re on the air at the same time, Monday-Friday.

You write columns for liberal websites, and I write columns for conservative websites.

What is there to lose by challenging each other’s views publicly while we defend our own? What is there to lose by seeing whose positions best cohere morally and socially?
I then tweeted him a link to my article, asking him, “What do you say?”

He replied, “Nothing to discuss. We’ve gained our rights. NOW you want civil discussion, after you crusaded vs. us for years?”

I responded, “My position has remained the same for years. I’ve always called for discussion. In any case, we’re not going in the closet.”

He replied by sending me an article written by two of his gay colleagues, referring to people like me as bigots.

I asked him why he and his colleagues had to use the word “bigot” when referring to opponents of same-sex “marriage,” since there were perfectly legitimate, fair-minded reasons for rejecting it. He responded by justifying his use of the term, after which, there was that sound again – the sound of silence.

Here and there, I’ve found leaders on the “progressive” side who are willing to engage in civil debate or dialogue. And remember, I’m not just talking about coming on my radio show, where I do control the mic, but of participating in formal, moderated debates. But they are few and far between.

All too many seem much more willing to make charges than to back them up, to level accusations than to discuss honest differences, to throw around claims of bigotry rather than have their own bigotry exposed.

Their silence, when challenged, or when invited to public dialogue, is deafening and speaks volumes.

I dedicate this article to WND on its 20th anniversary. You have been anything but silent.

Trump’s designee for Army secretary drops out: objected to Islamic indoctrination in public schools

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

Once again, truth tellers are punished. The last thing this man should have done was withdraw. He should have stood his ground. Our ground.

Trump’s pick for Army secretary drops out: objected to Islamic indoctrination in public schools

Jihad Watch, May 6, 2017:

Green should not have dropped out. His doing so only validates the Left’s claim that his statements are beyond the pale. But are they really?

“Also in September, he said a stand needed to be taken against ‘the indoctrination of Islam’ in public schools.”

Hysterical, paranoid Islamophobia, right? Wrong. Some headlines from the last few years:

Sharia law promoted in Indiana public schools

Texas high school opens Muslim prayer room and follow-up: Texas public high school defends its Islamic prayer room after warning from state deputy attorney general

Tennessee: Christian mom wants history textbook removed from schools for promoting Islamic propaganda

Tennessee openly promotes Islam: 7th graders made to recite Islamic statement of faith

Tennessee elementary school bans pork to avoid offending Muslims

North Carolina public high school proselytizing for Islam in vocabulary lessons

Today is Hijab Day at NP3 High School, a public charter school in Sacramento, California

California school district bans drawing Muhammad

Wisconsin: Public school students must “pretend you’re a Muslim”

Virginia School District closes, blaming ‘tone and content’ of parents’ protest over Islamic indoctrination assignment

Maryland: Marine dad banned from school after complaining about Islam assignment

Minnesota: Parents question public high school’s choice to sing “Allahu akbar” at holiday concert

Green compounded his “Islamophobia”: “he also referred to the ‘Muslim horde’ that invaded Constantinople centuries ago.”

Why, how racist and bigoted! The conquerors of Constantinople were tolerant, pluralistic multiculturalists with big hearts full of love! Historian Steven Runciman notes that the Muslim soldiers “slew everyone that they met in the streets, men, women, and children without discrimination. The blood ran in rivers down the steep streets from the heights of Petra toward the Golden Horn. But soon the lust for slaughter was assuaged. The soldiers realized that captives and precious objects would bring them greater profit.” (The Fall of Constantinople 1453, Cambridge University Press, 1965, p. 145.)

Some jihadists “made for the small but splendid churches by the walls, Saint George by the Charisian Gate, Saint John in Petra, and the lovely church of the monastery of the Holy Saviour in Chora, to strip them of their stores of plate and their vestments and everything else that could be torn from them. In the Chora they left the mosaics and frescoes, but they destroyed the icon of the Mother of God, the Hodigitria, the holiest picture in all Byzantium, painted, so men said, by Saint Luke himself. It had been taken there from its own church beside the Palace at the beginning of the siege, that its beneficient presence might be at hand to inspire the defenders on the walls. It was taken from its setting and hacked into four pieces.” (P. 146.)

But don’t call them a “horde”!

“Trump’s pick for Army secretary drops out amid criticism of LGBT, Islam remarks,” Fox News, May 5, 2017:

President Trump’s nominee to be the next Army secretary withdrew his name from consideration Friday, Pentagon officials confirmed to Fox News, after he was accused of making anti-LGBT and Islamophobic remarks.

Mark Green, a Republican state senator from Tennessee, stepped aside after what he called “false and misleading” attacks against him which had caused his nomination to become a “distraction.”

“Tragically, my life of public service and my Christian beliefs have been mischaracterized and attacked by a few on the other side of the aisle for political gain,” he said in a statement first reported by The Tennessean.

“While these attacks have no bearing on the needs of the Army or my qualifications to serve, I believe it is critical to give the President the ability to move forward with his vision to restore our military to its rightful place in the world,” he said.

Several Democrats and some Republicans including Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., had taken aim at comments he made in September in which he said transgender people are suffering from a disease. McCain called the comments “disturbing.”

Also in September, he said a stand needed to be taken against “the indoctrination of Islam” in public schools. He also referred to the “Muslim horde” that invaded Constantinople centuries ago….

Feinstein: We Have Zero Evidence Of Russian Collusion During 2016 Campaign

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said that there is no definitive proof of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence. Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee have also said they don’t expect to find any evidence of collusion. Now, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, ventured over to CIA headquarters at Langley, Virginia for a briefing concerning their probe into the allegations.

“You don’t have to provides us with any classified information, Senator, but do you believe—do you have evidence that there was in fact collusion between Trump associates and Russia during the campaign?” asked CNN’s Wolf Blizter.

“Not at this time,” replied Feinstein.

So, I think it’s becoming increasingly clear

‘MacronLeaks’ reveal secret plans for the Islamization of France

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

Just one day before the French election, a massive pile of emails and documents were released about the left-wing candidate Emmanuel Macron. The MacronLeaks contain secret proposals that would lead to the Islamization of France and Europe, prepared by the IM [Institut Montaigne] and Hakim El Karoui.

DMF  The document recommends the introduction of Arabic teaching to French schools, including bi-lingual classes. This is justified with the claim that Muslims are currently getting their “Arabic fix” from mosques, where they risk being radicalized.

Translation: The French must accept Islam. The refusal of multiculturalism is treason

In other words, “soft islamization” is being advocated as the remedy for “hard islamization” and that this represents a kind of de facto reward being offered to jihad violence. Jihad gets results. It leads to societies being islamised, one way or the other.

Other plans for measures to islamize France include facilitating mosque construction by making it easier to arrange finance for it and providing reserved Muslim areas in municipal cemeteries. Again this is justified by claiming that it will lead to the emergence of a “French Islam”.

There is also a proposal, unfortunately not specified in detail, to finance Islam by taxing halal consumption.

Catholic priests in U.S. being punished for speaking truth about Islam

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

Source: Articles: Another Day, Another Apology to Muslims

By Susan D. Harris

“Don’t listen to liberals, because the Muslims will cut your heads off.” That’s the comment that warranted the KRQE headline, “Parents accuse Belen priest of making discriminatory comments against Muslims.” Apparently no one had a problem with the “don’t listen to liberals” part. Instead, being well trained in political correctness, it was the moment Fr. Jonas Romea, a priest in Belen, New Mexico, told a group of pre-K to eighth grade Catholic kids that there were Muslims terrorists that caused the problem. Specifically mentioning Muslims cutting “heads off” was when parents became terribly offended on behalf of Islam. The next thing you know, a reporter at KOAT Action News was asking Fr. Romea if he didn’t think his remarks were “Islamophobia?” Fr. Romea said that he denied that label, and strengthened his point by saying: “Recent reports out of the Middle East show that Catholics around the world are under attack. The news pieces that we get… from there tell us that actually, Christians are being slaughtered.”

KRQE reported that after receiving complaints about Fr. Romea’s remarks (made during a homily to students at Our Lady of Belen Church,) the “Archdiocese of Santa Fe sent out a letter to parents saying the homily didn’t fully embrace the message of Jesus Christ.”

Later, Fr. Romea sparred with KOAT reporter David Carl asking, “Are all people burglars? No, not all people are burglars. But my next question is, do you lock your doors at night?”

Carl responds, “I do. I do. So are you lumping in Muslims as burglars? Are you making an equivalency there?” Carl knows better, but with progressively tweaked critical thinking techniques designed to disarm traditional reasoning, Fr. Romea is easily mocked, then easily silenced with a craftily edited interview. By this time, he has been so intimidated — by someone or some governing body — that he will not even name “that religion that he mentioned” — Islam.

The original story aired March 30th. By April 12th, Fr. Romea issued what some local people told me they believed to be a “coerced apology” which can be read here; and by April 28th he found himself terminated from the diocese. (This fact was told me by someone who had spoken directly with Fr. Romea himself, and was also present during the April 30th mass where Fr. Romea’s departure was discussed. There has been no official statement from the diocese.)

Romea’s apology contained the sentence: “I have come to realize that the Islamic Faith is not to be equated with terrorism and vice-versa.”

Sadly, 84-year-old French priest Jacques Hamel didn’t get a chance to concur with that statement, having had his throat slit by ISIS militants less than a year ago during a quiet morning Mass. One has to wonder what kind of internal spiritual struggles these Catholic Christian leaders are suffering as the world keeps forcing them to the ground — symbolically or literally — to grovel toward Mecca.

In New Mexico, the incident took on an overtly political tone when former senator Michael Sanchez reportedly shone a spotlight on it by Tweeting what happened “wasn’t right” and that he “stands with Muslims.”

Stories of priests being silenced as they try to speak against Islam aren’t new, but aren’t abating either. Earlier this month, the diocese of Orlando, Florida reprimanded a priest for teaching his students about Muhammed from the writings of Catholic Saint John Bosco. The story, not surprisingly unearthed by the Huffington Post’s Documenting Hate Project, ended with the Orlando diocese stating “the information provided in the sixth grade class is not consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.”

This past February, the Rev. Peter West, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church in Orange, NJ made news calling moderate Islam “a myth” and openly supported President Trump’s travel ban, (though its characteristics changed over time.) A spokesman for that diocese said, “…we are concerned about Father West’s comments and actions, and will be addressing them according to the protocols of the Church.”

Journalist Mark Mueller, writing for NJ.com, told his readers:

(Father West’s) attacks, while popular with many of his 7,300 Facebook followers from around the country, run counter to the statements and philosophies of his own leader, Newark Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, and his ultimate boss, Pope Francis.

What is really happening in small Catholic dioceses across the country, one can only guess; but you can be sure the politically-correct thought police are on duty everywhere.

Looking beyond our borders, we see precedents in places like Germany — where a Catholic priest was banned from preaching after speaking at an anti-Islamization protest; and a priest arrested in France for being “too hard” on Islam, and having his website shut down.

It is the greatest irony that while there is no known Catholic priest, nor adherent of Catholicism, that has been charged with beheading a Muslim in modern times, that those who warn against Islam are the targets of censure and ridicule by their own societies. Instead of shouting “never again” to the ideological/religious perpetrators of such violence, Americans robotically repeat “not every Muslim is an extremist!” Strangely, this phrase seems to have been beaten into us harder than the sharp edge of every reported “radical Muslim” sword that has slaughtered man, woman, and child around the globe

New Film Documents Muslim Genocide on Christians in the Middle East (Video)

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

Source: Faithkeepers: New Roma Downey Film Documents Christian Genocide in the Middle East | The Stream

“We want to say ‘never again,’” said Paula Kweskin, film producer, of genocide, “but in the last two decades we’ve seen so many instances of it. Why haven’t we changed?” she asked during an interview with The Stream. Kweskin has just produced a new documentary that details the horror of genocide, kidnappings and rape in the Middle East.

Documenting Genocide

Faithkeepers is a documentary of the Christian, Yadizi and other minorities genocide. Witnesses and victims of violence tell the story of how Christians and other minorities are literally being wiped out in the Middle East by ISIS and Muslim infighting. According to Kweskin, it’s a story that needed to be told.

Kweskin met Juliana Taimoorazy, an Assyrian-Christian activist, and learned of her harrowing story of escaping the Middle East. It was then that she decided to do the human rights project. Kweskin teamed up with Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel, among others) and Clarion Project to produce the film.

Protecting Those Who Bear Witness

But it wasn’t easy to get people to speak on camera. Some of those interviewed were glad to tell their story. Others were hesitant and wanted to be filmed in shadow. “It depend[ed] on how people responded to the trauma,” said Kweskin. Those interviewed saw beheadings of family members or experienced torture, kidnapping and rape. Others may have relatives still living in dangerous areas.

‘If I die, I die as a Christian’

It isn’t random violence. Christians, Yadizis and other faith minorities are tortured and killed because they won’t convert to Islam. Their churches and places of worship are destroyed. One woman described how she and her son watched his father be beheaded. Her son stopped talking. Another woman described how women drank rat poison to avoid the torture at ISIS’ hands. ISIS said they wouldn’t let the women die so easily. ISIS took them to the hospital where their stomachs were pumped. Another woman who was raped and tortured explained why she endured the horror. “My only wish was that if I die … I die as a Christian.”

Those who want to help can visit Faithkeepers‘ website. Screenings will also be held in churches nationwide beginning on May 23 for one month.

New Jersey: Man pledged allegiance to Allah, planned to “kill as many people as possible” in NYC

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

Source: Point Pleasant man wanted to make bomb for ISIS, feds say

NEWARK – A Point Pleasant man appeared in federal court Friday to face charges that he planned to build and set off a pressure cooker bomb in New York City in support of ISIS, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey.

Gregory Lepsky, 20, was ordered held without bail after he appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Leda Dunn Wettre in Newark and was given a court-appointed lawyer. Lepsky, who was charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, did not enter a plea. His lawyer did not comment after the brief hearing.

“Go away,” a woman yelled Friday afternoon from the Lepsky home, a condominium complex on Route 88. “I told you to go away.”

Reached by phone, Lepsky’s mother, Luda, said that the charges are “not true.”

“This is my son, I feel I am going to die,” she said.

According to the federal complaint, Lepsky was arrested by Point Pleasant police on Feb. 21 after a family member told authorities Lepsky had a weapon and was threatening to kill the family’s dog.

Police responded, called Lepsky on his phone and asked him to exit the home. Lepsky eventually came out, bleeding from one of arm.

While paramedics were treating him, Lepsky, unprompted, told them he was planning to kill his mother, according to the federal complaint. He also pledged allegiance to Allah, the Arabic word for “God.”

Lepsky said he stabbed the family dog because the dog was “dirty” in his view of Islam.

Police entered Lepsky’s home and found the family dog alive, but with a large slash mark on its back.

Police also found a new pressure cooker behind a roll of bubble wrap in Lepsky’s bedroom closet, as well as books on suicide bombing.

Lepsky said he had joined ISIS and had plane tickets to Turkey, according to the complaint. His cellphone had the ISIS flag as its background photo.

After being taken to a local hospital, Lepsky told hospital staff his name was “Allah Abdel Rochmad” and he planned to detonate a pressure cooker bomb in a busy area of New York City to “kill as many people as possible,” the federal complaint said.

The complaint said Lepsky told a hospital worker that he had watched bomb-making videos online and that he was trying to be a suicide bomber before police caught him.

On Feb. 22, Lepsky told investigators he was going to buy black musket gunpowder to turn the pressure cooker he purchased into a bomb. Lepsky told authorities he regretted trying to kill his family dog because police wouldn’t have figured out his plan if he hadn’t.

On Feb. 24, investigators spoke with the family member who initially contacted police. That person said they first noticed changes in Lepksy in December when he began expressing opinions associated with radical Islam.

Investigators searched Lepsky’s computers and found evidence that Lepsky planned to build and detonate a bomb in support of ISIS, according to the complaint. Investigators also said they found social media messages in which Lepsky told others he planned to fight on behalf of ISIS and would drive “a bunch of explosives” to where the “enemies” were and blow himself up.

In the days before his arrest, Lepsky posted photos of himself in military fatigues with a pistol and semiautomatic weapon on Facebook, according to the complaint. He also sent messages to others saying he had converted to Islam with the intent of going to Syria.

In text messages to another family member, Lepsky sent pro-ISIS messages, including praise for ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

“I linked up with some guy I met on a chat website and he wants me to become Muslim and join ISIS,” Lepsky said in message to someone, the FBI reported. “I really wanna go join ISIS.”

He said in another Facebook message that his father was a Muslim from Chechnya, but stopped being religious when he moved to America.

“But I want to be different,” investigators said he wrote. “I want to be religious and grow up and be a martyr.”

Investigators additionally found thousands of internet searches about ISIS, terrorist attacks and beheadings.

“It’s just scary,” said Kim, a neighbor. She declined to give her last name.

Left-fascists at University of Arkansas cancel speaker because she cowrote pamphlet with Robert Spencer 10 years ago

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

“In expressing concerns with Chesler, faculty cited her writings on ‘the ultra-right Breitbart forum’ and her role as co-author of a pamphlet, The Violent Oppression of Women in Islam, with Robert Spencer, ‘considered by the Southern Poverty Law Center to be ‘one of America’s most prolific and vociferous anti-Muslim propagandists,’ the email stated.”

Chesler is defending UA prof Tom Paradise, who was responsible for getting her canceled. She is apparently unaware that he wrote to colleagues that he was “delighted” that she had been cancelled. Paradise has now been suspended, which is unusual in light of the fact that his delight was no doubt shared by the overwhelming majority of his colleagues. Now he should be fired, as should all of his colleagues who supported this cancellation, especially Joel Gordon, Mohja Kohf and Ted Swedenburg, who called upon UA’s King Fahd Center for Middle East Studies to withdraw its support for Chesler’s appearance, which led directly to her being cancelled.

The stigmatization and silencing of dissenting voices on campuses nationwide is inconsistent with the very idea of a university, which is supposed to be a place where ideas are accepted or dismissed on their merits alone. Chesler was canceled because, among other things, she cowrote a pamphlet with me ten years ago. That’s a very remote association, and is akin to the Nazi Brownshirts getting professors fired because it was discovered that they had a Jewish great-grandmother. Apparently now everyone who has ever said a kind word to me or stood in a room with me is to be deprived of all professional opportunities and stigmatized as a “bigot” and an “Islamophobe.” This is reminiscent of the Stalinist purges, and all the more shameful for taking place at a university.

Meanwhile, did Gordon, Kohf, and Swedenburg present any evidence that what we said in that pamphlet was false? No. Apparently all they said about it was this: “The pamphlet was published by David Horowitz’ Freedom Center, which frequently targets students and scholars for speaking out about justice for Palestinians.” More guilt by association: now Chesler is being tarred not only with my supposed enormities, but with those of David Horowitz as well.

The professors went on: “The pamphlet is a catalogue of horrors inflicted on women that are said to be the outcome of Islam’s essential nature. ‘Islamic gender apartheid,’ Chesler and Spencer write, ‘is not caused by western imperialism, colonialism, or racism. It is indigenous to Islam both theologically and historically.’” Do they present any evidence to show this is false? Apparently not: after the manner of Leftist academics and spokesmen everywhere, they present their perspective as if its truth were self-evident. They don’t have to refute dissenting views. They just have to show that they’re right-wing. What’s more, do they present any evidence that the Southern Poverty Law Center is a neutral and impartial arbiter of what constitutes “hate” and what doesn’t? Of course not. Leftists never consider it incumbent upon them to demonstrate the truth of what they claim.

This authoritarian demonization and suppression of opposing perspectives is quintessentially fascist, and contrary to the core purpose of a university. Enough is enough. The University of Arkansas has done well to suspend Paradise. Now he, Gordon, Kohf, Swedenburg and all the other fascist professors at UA should be fired. UA should follow through on its suspension by reaffirming the lost idea that a university should allow for and protect the freedom of speech. No Stalinists should be allowed to terrorize their opponents. Because I believe in the freedom of speech and the importance of free discourse, I hereby challenge any or all of these professors — Paradise, Gordon, Kohf, and/or Swedenburg — to a debate on the status of women under Sharia. I am willing to debate all four of them at once. I will travel to UA at my own expense. But will they accept? Of course they won’t.

“UA professor suspended after speech cancellation a scapegoat, author says,” by Jaime Adame, Arkansas Online, May 5, 2017:

FAYETTEVILLE — A longtime University of Arkansas, Fayetteville professor suspended from administrative duties is “being scapegoated,” said Phyllis Chesler, the author whose cancelled Skype presentation led UA to take action against the director of the university’s Middle East studies center.

The university on Wednesday suspended Tom Paradise pending an internal review of the decision to cancel Chesler’s scheduled talk at an academic symposium last month on honor-based violence.

Chesler, known for remarks critical of Islam, has written that academics wrongly ignore the role of Islam when discussing honor killings and similar violence taking place in Western countries.

“I think that Tom Paradise is being scapegoated for those who bullied, intimidated, terrified, and forced him to dis-invite me,” Chesler said in an email. “He did nothing wrong. He actually apologized to me rather profusely and humanely.”…

UA spokesman Mark Rushing, in a statement Wednesday, said Paradise canceled Chesler’s appearance “without informing leadership.” His faculty pay and status are not affected by the suspension, only his pay and responsibilities as director of UA’s King Fahd Center for Middle East Studies….

An email dated April 7 to Paradise — a week before the symposium — from UA professor Joel Gordon also lists professors Mohja Kohf and Ted Swedenburg as authors.

It states that faculty ask the center to “publicly withdraw its sponsorship from this symposium.”

The message states that faculty members earlier had asked the center to “provide, via Skype, a qualified speaker to follow Chesler’s remarks,” with the request “deemed not feasible.”

In expressing concerns with Chesler, faculty cited her writings on “the ultra-right Breitbart forum” and her role as co-author of a pamphlet, The Violent Oppression of Women in Islam, with Robert Spencer, “considered by the Southern Poverty Law Center to be ‘one of America’s most prolific and vociferous anti-Muslim propagandists,'” the email stated.

Additional records show Paradise responding to faculty in Middle East studies, sometimes referred to with the acronym MEST.

Hello MEST faculty and staff, we’ve been successful in removing Dr. Chesler from the schedule of the upcoming symposium on honor-based violence,” Paradise said in an April 9 email sent to 12 people. Records released by UA show a draft from Paradise, not sent to all faculty and staff, that used the phrase “I’m delighted that we’ve been successful.”

Swedenburg, in a Thursday phone interview, disputed the idea that he, Kohf and Gordon worked to get Chesler kicked off the program.

“We did not call for her to be disinvited and how that happened, I don’t really know, because none of the three of us were a party to that discussion,” Swedenburg said….

Come now, Swedenburg. Take some responsibility for your own actions, and own up to your fascism.

Smith College professor: “The U.S. creates terrorism”

Smith College professor Suleiman A. Mourad writes:

With the fall of the USSR and its constellation of Communist governments, US elites no longer had a ready rationale to maintain the country’s war machine….The US brags about its commitment to democracy. But its interventions have yielded death and despotism for the Middle East.

Professor Mourad would have us forget about Iran’s nuclear ambitions and its jihadi threat to the world, as well as the Muslim Brotherhood plan for global conquest, as he essentially calls for American demilitarization.

The anti-American views of Mourad are commonplace among leftist academics. Indeed, they are obsessed with their anti-Americanism, and absolve Muslims past and present of all responsibility for the Islam world’s historic human rights abuses, barbarism, hatred of the infidel, and state-sanctioned atrocities in Sharia-adherent countries. Mourad makes no mention of the fact that in Saudi Arabia, a powerful Sharia-adherent Islamic country, his Smith College students would all need permission from their male guardians to seek an education. But Mourad takes the easy way out: he blames all of Islam’s woes on America.

Mourad also states:

American society — already shot through with militarism, the product of endless military interventions since World War II — has seen a noxious new element added to its violent brew: Islamophobia.

That word “Islamophobia” is frequently wielded, as Mourad does here, to sabotage important discussion about jihad, Sharia, and the grave threat they present to the West.

Mourad adds:

Muslims, in their majority, have pushed for the separation of state and religion…They established liberal democratic constitutions. They liberated women from many old religious customs (including the veil) and brought them into schools and universities and the workforce.

He then discusses Turkey’s Erdogan, Egypt’s Sisi, and the human rights abuses of Assad and Saudi Arabia, blaming all evils upon the U.S., while turning a blind eye to the reasons why America intervened in Muslim countries in the first place. The wisdom of the U.S. strategy is a matter for debate, but not America’s interest in defending itself from the strife and violence that have perpetually plagued the Islamic world, now perpetrated by jihad terror groups trying to restore the lost glories of the Ottoman Empire. Mourad’s wishful thinking and/or outright deception about a Muslim “Renaissance,” “Reformation,” and “Muslim democratic constitutions” prior to U.S. intervention is completely contrary to fact. It is no secret that Islamic reformers throughout the history of Islam have been murdered by Islamic rulers.

Mourad also paints a wretched picture of Muslims. He gives the impression that they are an inferior people, unable to escape the powerful influence of the U.S., and inclined to barbarism, perpetrating violence and oppression against their own as a matter of course. In contrast to Mourad’s exaggerated claims about the Muslim reaction to supposed American misdeeds, the genuine suffering of the Jews at the hands of the Nazis and Muslim Arab nationalists during the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, and the ongoing genocide against Christians in the Middle East have not led those victimized groups to begin abusing their women, beheading their own and outsiders, stoning those accused of adultery, murdering their own for apostasy, and seeking perpetual revenge and conquest against the infidel.

The Jacobin magazine website, which features Mourad’s article, states that “Jacobin is a leading voice of the American left, offering socialist perspectives on politics, economics, and culture.”  Unfortunately, leftists and socialists, still afflicted by white guilt, refuse to realize that a foreign force is overtaking them; that the West and Israel are the victimized ones; and that Islamic supremacists have historically regarded infidels as inferiors. Nor do they recognize how they are being used and manipulated by people such as Mourad, who so skillfully uses their own intellectual constructs against them without their even realizing what is happening.

“How the US Creates Terrorism”, by Suleiman A. Mourad, Jacobin, May 4, 2017:

In February, writing in the pages of the Nation, the Middle East historian Juan Cole ruminated on how the US could defeat ISIS. The answer, he argued, is to forge an alliance with Iran and its network of militias.

Cole has a short historical memory.

The genealogy of ISIS can, no doubt, be traced a good way back in Islamic history. But it includes a very prominent and recent pedigree: the Sunni jihadists that the US sponsored and armed to fight its then-ideological enemy, the USSR, in the 1980s and 1990s. Cole would have the US attack ISIS at all costs, even if his preferred strategy plunged the Muslim world into a state of deeper violence and chaos, and birthed a fiercer enemy in the future.

Unfortunately, the prominent scholar isn’t alone in his amnesia.

The belief that Islamic terrorism represents an existential threat and that all strategies, regardless of their consequences, should be used to fight it has militarized American society in very dangerous ways while obscuring the actual roots of Islamic terrorism.

Violent trends in Islam — as in Christianity and other religions — always existed, but historically, Muslims largely mustered enough social and political will to contain them. So why is this no longer the case, and what are the circumstances that turned the ideology of Islamic terrorism into an attractive one for some today? Who, in short, created the conditions that gave rise to groups like ISIS, al-Qaeda, and many others?

Clashing Civilizations

Since 9/11, the US has pursued policies largely inspired by Samuel Huntington’s “clash of civilizations,” in which the Muslim world stands as an inveterate enemy of “the West.” With the fall of the USSR and its constellation of Communist governments, US elites no longer had a ready rationale to maintain the country’s war machine. Huntington’s theory provided them one.

After al-Qaeda struck on 9/11, the Bush administration launched wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, seeking to eradicate networks of Islamic terror, whatever the price to Muslim civilians. Although antiwar voices in the US grew quite loud at times, and managed to elect Barack Obama as president, a new normal had been established. Obama not only prosecuted the same wars but launched new (albeit undeclared) ones in Pakistan, Libya, Yemen, and Syria. As a result, the Middle East is in even direr straits than when Bush departed (apologetics of Obama boosters notwithstanding).

Back at home, American society — already shot through with militarism, the product of endless military interventions since World War II — has seen a noxious new element added to its violent brew: Islamophobia. Trump’s anti-Muslim executive orders — which, despite some backlash, received higher approval ratings than his overall performance as president — were just the latest indication of how profoundly recent US wars have changed American society, and how domestically successful the campaign against Islam has been.

Deepening militarization has empowered religious fanatics and imperialist ideologues in the US, who use any pretext to march the country down the path of Huntington’s “clash of civilizations.” Indeed, ultra-conservative Christianity in the US doesn’t express itself primarily through violence at home. It uses its political muscle to inflict violence abroad through US wars.

Autocracy in the Middle East

If the Middle East is mired in dictatorship, it has more to do with US meddling than any innate Muslim affinity for despotism. When Syrian autocrat Hafez al-Assad died in 2000, President Bill Clinton dispatched Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to fête his son, Bashar al-Assad, as the British-educated reformer. Assad ruled with an iron first from the beginning — and the US raised no objections.

In 2009, Obama travelled to Turkey and Egypt to announce a new US posture toward the Muslim world. Gaddafi, Mubarak, Assad — all were slated for removal, to make way for a new breed of dictators cloned in the image of the ruler who was then the darling of the US and Europe: Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

But Obama’s meddling weakened an already fragile civil society, multiplying recruits to ISIS and al-Qaeda. And the region’s autocrats and others knew exactly how to play the game. They used the threat of ISIS to justify their draconian clampdown on political freedom, and as scarecrows to frighten the US and Europe into guaranteeing their survival. How else could they be “key partners” in the war against terror?

When Erdoğan came to power, the US (the EU on its heels) steered all kinds of investment and political support his way. Erdoğan was the model of the new “moderate Muslim.” Today he is dismantling a civil society that took decades to build, and anyone who dares to criticize him is labeled a terrorist. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Mubarak’s successor, is turning Egypt into a time bomb by filling his prisons with thousands of alleged terrorists. Assad finished off fifteen thousand supposed terrorists in a single prison, and his barbarity has fueled a civil war that’s left more than five hundred thousand dead and caused five million to flee the country. The Iraqi government employs Iranian-backed militias that are no less murderous than ISIS. Saudi Arabia’s ongoing, US-backed bombing campaign has leveled Yemen.

ISIS, al-Qaeda, and their ilk have often depended on the protection and support of other US allies. Pakistan nurtured terrorist organizations to use against India, and the Saudis did the same to undercut Assad’s government and Iranian influence in Iraq, Yemen, and elsewhere. Erdoğan used ISIS as a weapon against the Kurds, and Assad did the same to cause trouble for the US in Iraq (and later the Syrian opposition).

What Muslim world are we expecting these actors to build after ISIS is gone?

No More Allies

Since the 1950s, US foreign policy has systematically worked to undermine democracy in the Muslim world. It’s labored to undercut all the optimism and reform that secularists and religious progressives advocated for and institutionalized since the nineteenth century.

Muslims, in their majority, have pushed for the separation of state and religion (shunning Sharia and reducing its application to a small realm, including marriage, inheritance, and pure religious practice). They established liberal democratic constitutions. They liberated women from many old religious customs (including the veil) and brought them into schools and universities and the workforce….

Where has all this happened? Where are these Muslim liberal democracies?

Islamic State (ISIS) urges Muslims in US: Attack gun stores to get guns in US and Europe

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

Considering the number of Muslims in America who are devout, thereby supporting the jihadic doctrine ISIS practices, this could be a problem. On the other hand, knowing gun owners as I do, I suspect they’ll whatever brains they have blown out.

ISIS wants attacks on gun stores to get guns

Daily Caller, May 6, 2017:

ISIS is suggesting its jihadists attack gun shop owners who are closing their businesses at the end of the day as a means of acquiring firearms.

According to the latest issue of ISIS’ Rumiyah magazine, PJ Media reported, the terror organization discussed different ways jihadists could get firearms in the United States and Europe.

In the U.S., “anything from a single-shot shotgun all the way up to a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle can be purchased at showrooms or through online sales – by way of private dealers – with no background checks, and without requiring either an ID or a gun license,” ISIS states. “And with approximately 5,000 gun shows taking place annually within the United States, the acquisition of firearms becomes a very easy matter.”

They include a picture of an unidentified gun show with the caption, “Gun conventions represent an easier means of arming oneself for an attack.:Gun control activists point to ISIS’s strategy as a reason to have terrorism watch lists but the National Rifle Association, and other gun rights activists say terrorism watch lists are too easily prone for errors and violations of civil rights of law abiding citizens and areas where universal background checks are required, like where terrorists struck in San Bernardino, cannot guarantee that terrorists will not find other ways to acquire firearms.

Watch: Judge Jeanine Cuts Loose On Hillary Clinton, And It Is Brutal

Judge Jeanine is great, and, man, was she ever delivering a beat down to Hillary Clinton on Fox News this week.

While Hillary Clinton is setting up to launch a new political action committee, Judge Jeanine Pirro is calling her out.

Foxnews reported: Hillary Clinton is set to launch a new political action committee, Onward Together, to back so-called “resistance” groups who oppose President Trump.

Clinton made headlines earlier this week for her interview with Christiane Amanpour, where she placed the blame for her election loss on James Comey and “Russian Wikileaks.”

In the sit-down, Clinton also said she was “back to being an activist citizen and part of the resistance.”

Judge Pirro said on “Fox & Friends” that many Americans believe Clinton “should go back into the woods,” referring to the famous post-election photo of the former secretary of state hiking near her New York home.

Pirro said Democrats don’t know who the next leader of their party is and that Clinton still thinks she’s the person to lead.

“Then they’ve got his loser, who everybody thinks should go back into the woods,” she said.

BREAKING – Supreme Court Ruling: NO Islam In Public Schools… DO YOU AGREE?

Parents it is up to you to see to it that this ruling is up held in your school district don't let this go by the way side like we have before!!!

( Muslims do not assimilate, the infiltrate! )

The full panel of nine Supreme Court justices met to decide the fate of Islam taught in public schools. Under Obama’s lead schools were teaching that Islam is a peaceful religion, even though all of our real life examples contradict that.

Treddify reported that Judge Neil Gorsuch cast the tie-breaking vote. The 5-4 ruling was that the only part of Islam history taught in public schools will be Radical Islam and what students can do to help stop it.

Judge Gorsuch wrote, “The government certainly has no business being involved in religion, but this isn’t a government issue or a religious issue. This is about the judicial branch interpreting the laws as they apply to the teaching of religion. We should be
teaching any religions in this country besides standard Judeo-Christianity, as our founders wanted, and we certainly shouldn’t be filling the children with lies about Islam being a ‘religion of peace’ when they see the carnage on the news almost every day.”

Gorsuch continued, “It is our duty as Americans first and judges second to safeguard the way our children are indoctrinated.”

This is an additional ruling from the one just last week that forbids the teaching of Islamic tenets or Sharia as part of world history as well. The Obama administration obviously has no power or influence in the court anymore.

Our country and Christianity scored a huge win. Thanks to our president we can get back to respecting our true values and the normal every day worshipping of the only real God.
