{theresurgent.com} ~ This really doesn’t seem that difficult. Negligent handling of classified government information is a crime, whether you intend to be negligent or not.

liar-Hillary Clinton negligently handled classified government information. So did her top aide, Huma Abedin, who routinely forwarded classified government information to her husband, Anthony Weiner. Not just one or two pieces of classified information. Hundreds of pieces from thousands of emails – all to a man who lacked security clearance.

liar-Hillary and Huma both say they didn’t mean to do it. It doesn’t matter. People who kill their children by an act of carelessness don’t intend to do so. That’s the very definition of negligence – by failing to take reasonable care, something bad happens.

And since the law forbids negligence, it doesn’t matter whether there was intent or not – it’s still a crime demanding prosecution. Again, not difficult. Yet the embattled FBI Director James Comey decided that a lack of intent to break the law meant that both liar-Hillary and Huma could walk without consequences.

At least one guy in the U.S. Senate was not pleased with that decision. Ted Cruz grilled Comey relentlessly over his inexplicable decision, and as you would expect, it didn’t go well for Comey:

“You described the reason why the case was closed against Ms. Abedin as that you could not determine she was aware her conduct was unlawful…Any first year law student learns in criminal law ignorance of the law is no excuse, and that mens rea In fact, the governing statutes – 18 USC 793f and 18 USC 798a – have no requirement of a knowledge of unlawful [intent]…under the terms of that statute, the fact pattern you described in this hearing [of Abedin’s behavior] seems to fit that statute directly.

In that, if I understood you correctly, you said Ms. Abedin forwarded hundreds or thousands of classified emails to her husband on a non-government, non-classified computer. How does that conduct not directly violate that statute?”

The best response for Comey would have been to simply cue the sound of crickets. Instead, he attempted to answer by suggesting that company practice “for generations” has been to require intent even if the law doesn’t call for it. In other words, Comey admits that he arrived at his conclusion not to prosecute Abedin or liar-Clinton not on the basis of the law, but his own preference.

Cruz was understandably incredulous:

“On its face, anyone dealing with classified information should know that conduct is impermissible. And let me ask you, how would you handle an FBI Agent who forwarded thousands of classified emails to his or her spouse on a non-government computer?” does not require knowledge that conduct is unlawful.

Ouch. Obviously everyone of us knows the answer, but Comey decided to pretend like we didn’t:

“I’m highly confident they wouldn’t be prosecuted.”

Unless they’re affiliated with liar-Clinton, Inc., rational people are highly confident that’s not the case.

It's no coincidence that on this National Day of Prayer Donald Trump will be signing an executive order designed to reverse Barack liar-nObama's stifling of religious freedom. It's widely anticipated that Trump's order will also roll back the Johnson Amendment, which forbids tax-exempt organizations such as churches from engaging in political activities. "Politicians and unelected bureaucrats shouldn't have the power to shut up their critics," a White House official stated. The president "thinks that's intolerant and un-American."

Trump is to be commended for seeking to undo liar-nObama's abuses. While the Left will claim this opens the door to discrimination of those in the homosexual "community," the reality is a question of precedent. In other words, whose rights are sovereign? The answer clearly established by the First Amendment is the free exercise of religion. Under liar-nObama there was a push not only to limit religious expression in public, but also to define what was to be "morally" acceptable and force concession. This was not only a violation of religious freedom, it was a violation of free speech. Barring extreme conditions, it is not for the government to dictate what ideas or thoughts regarding religious beliefs are appropriate and acceptable.

Attorney Stuart Lark said of the announcement, "Our country has a long history of protecting religious organizations from laws that substantially burden their ability to act in accordance with their beliefs. These protections foster pluralism and minimize the impact of government action on private religious choices, and in so doing they advance core principles underlying the First Amendment. To the extent the executive order expands these protections, it will be a welcome development for the many diverse faith communities in this country."

So, on this Day of Prayer, take a moment to thank God for the freedoms we have to freely worship and follow our religious convictions, and for leaders who stand to defend these freedoms. ~The Patriot Post

A dose of discernment needed to 'drain the swamp'

{wnd.com} ~ As many readers will concur, in general, American voters are not particularly discerning. Studies have been done detailing how questionable candidates have been elected to office simply because they’re glib, charismatic, or physically attractive. If a candidate looks good and sounds good, most voters will defer to that candidate, no matter how fundamentally insubstantial he or she may be.

Obviously, this has been a recipe for disaster, not just in individual cases, but as a long-term practice.

Exceptions to the widespread superficial assessment of political candidates have been instances in which significant numbers of voters have suffered due to the policies of a particular elected official or political party. Usually, this suffering has been economic in nature, but not always. In these cases, voters have tended to gravitate toward the candidate who promises to ameliorate that suffering. We witnessed this in 1980 with the election of Ronald Reagan and in 2016 with the election of Donald Trump.

When President Trump discussed “draining the swamp” of Beltway establishment hacks, his supporters cheered, but few realize how enormous an undertaking this actually is. It is one that cannot be accomplished by one president alone, no matter how sincere or dedicated that president may be toward accomplishing it.

Voters themselves have the potential to gain much more ground in this area, but they will have to employ discernment to do so.

When I speak of discernment, I am not referring to the spiritual gift of discernment discussed within the church. In practical terms, discernment is not some esoteric ability that some possess and some do not. I am speaking about employing the process of coming to logical, useful conclusions based on an aggregate of information some of which may be obscure to some degree. This, of course, involves a measure of critical thinking.

That’s the rub, because critical thinking has been discouraged among the populace, whether through the social engineering bent that’s been adopted by our educational institutions, media, or our political leaders themselves.

As I have indicated with increasing frequency, it has become quite clear that the majority of our Republican lawmakers – even many who claim to be conservatives – are nothing but big-government progressives. In general, congressional Republicans have taken on the role of playing the impotent foil to leftist Democrats who are railroading us toward a hard-line socialist state.

Why have Republican lawmakers taken on this role? Because the Washington establishment naturally fears that if a significant number of voters came to an understanding of the myth of our two-party system as it currently functions and the actual dynamic of Beltway politics, they might storm Washington, drag lawmakers out to the National Mall and burn them in a pile with the intention of starting over with a Congress that is not beholden to special interests or socialist ideology.

One potential instance of discernment among voters could be a very simple and fundamental one: the realization that progressivism isn’t “progressive” at all. In fact, it is actually retrogressive. Modern democracies and republics were, for the most part, instituted based upon the novel Enlightenment idea that populations could govern themselves, rather than being ruled by monarchs and oligarchs as they’d been for centuries. Progressivism takes all of that back in advancing a paradigm of government wherein populations are once again ruled by oligarchs. In America, progressives have overcome the hurdle of the party system by insinuating their operatives into both parties, yet maintaining the illusion that voters have a choice between competing ideologies.

Here’s another: Every so often, we read about a prominent political couple wherein one member is purportedly a staunch conservative and the other is a fire-breathing liberal. This is highly dubious considering the disparity of core beliefs between the two, something akin to a Baptist or Catholic marrying a practicing Satanist. Such marriages would necessitate the parties being so monumentally shallow that their stated core beliefs meant very little to them, or that the arrangements are simply political theater. Here, the “conservative” is an abject poser, and both parties’ political allegiances are rooted in progressivism.

Take House Speaker Paul Ryan, for example. He’s sold himself as a conservative, but Ryan’s actions, from the time he became speaker until the present, have indicated an individual who is either an ideological progressive, or someone who has become wholly corrupted by the establishment and simply seeks to maintain his place in the sun.

Ryan is married to Janna Ryan, a far-left liberal lawyer and trust fund baby who comes from a traditionally Democratic family. Janna Ryan could arguably be characterized as a left-wing activist. A K Street corporate lobbyist before marrying Ryan, she is described in numerous publications as “a liberal, left-wing progressive, anti-constitutional, big-government George Soros supporter who voted for Barack Hussein liar-nObama twice.” Her interests reportedly include women’s rights and social justice. This has not been widely discussed in the press, other than through the superficial media lens; the Ryans are just another power couple with divergent political beliefs who’ve somehow managed to make their marriage work.

How sweet.

Well, that might play with the undiscerning, but given Ryan’s deportment to date, it ought to raise a whole lot of questions among those seeking discernment concerning this speaker. These “mixed marriages” are but one of many tell-tale clues that such individuals may not be accurately or faithfully representing their political alignment.

This being the case, how might voters become more discerning?

That one is quite simple: If voters come to the realization that meticulously scrutinizing their prospective elected officials is an imperative, many will opt to engage their brains, dig a little deeper and take the steps necessary to really learn about political candidates and officeholders.

Col. Thorsness, a past president of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, was a lifelong Patriot. He was a genuine hero, a humble conservative advocate for family, faith and freedom, and a strong supporter of our Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, where the first Medals were awarded to members of Andrew's Raiders for their actions in 1862.

There have been 3,515 Medals of Honor awarded since the first, for "conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty," most awarded posthumously. With Leo's passing, there are now 74 living recipients.

Col. Thorsness was the author of "Surviving Hell," a remarkable testament to all Vietnam POWs and the brutality of their incarceration. His years as a captive overlapped with those of several of my friends, including a mentor, Roger Ingvalson. Closer to home, Leo also wrote "Mike's Flag," the preface to our children's book, "I'm Your Flag So Please Treat Me Right." It should be mandatory reading for every American of any age:

As a fighter pilot on my 93rd mission over North Vietnam, my F-105 was hit by an air-to-air missile and my Electronic Warfare Officer Harold Johnson and I, were forced to eject. After unsuccessful rescue attempts, we were captured by enemy forces and imprisoned in the infamous "Hanoi Hilton" for the next six years.
One day in our sixth year of imprisonment, a young Navy pilot named Mike Campbell found a piece of cloth in a gutter. After we collected some other small rags, he worked secretly at night to piece them together into a flag. He made red from ground-up roof tiles and blue from tiny amounts of ink, then used rice glue to paste the colors onto the rags. Using thread from his blanket and a homemade bamboo needle, he sewed the pieces together, adding white fragments for stars.
One morning he whispered from the back of our cell, "Hey gang, look here," and proudly held up that tattered American flag, waving it as if in a breeze. We all snapped to attention and saluted — with tears in our eyes.
A week later, the guards were searching our cells and found Mike's flag. That night they pulled him out of the cell and, for his simple gesture of patriotism, they tortured him. At daylight they pushed what was left of Mike back through the cell door.
Today, whenever I see our flag, I think of Mike and the morning he first waved that tattered emblem of our great nation. It was then, thousands of miles from home, imprisoned by a brutal enemy, that he courageously demonstrated the liberty it represents, and that is what I see in every American flag.

Leo is survived by his devoted wife and lifelong sweetheart, Gaylee, and their family. After Leo was shot down, DoD would not tell Gaylee for some time if he was alive or dead. She led the charge to ensure that the families of all POWs would never again be left in the dark about the fate of their loved ones. Col. Thorsness will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery. {townhall.com} ~ Late last week, President Donald Trump told CBS News that domestic surveillance of American citizens should be the "No. 1" topic of inquiry until we can find out "what the hell is going on" with it. Also late last week, the National Security Agency -- the federal government's 60,000-person-strong domestic spying agency -- announced that it would voluntarily hold back on its more aggressive uses of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

That section permits the NSA to capture communications between foreigners and Americans without a warrant from any court, even though the NSA has its own secret court that has granted well over 99 percent of applications for spying brought to it.

Yet the NSA has convinced the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that when it captures the communications of a foreigner and an American and those communications refer to a third person who is an American, Section 702 extends the authority for warrantless spying to that third person, as well. And it extends to any person whom the third person is talking about -- and so forth, out to the sixth level of communication.

If you do the math, this NSA-concocted, Section 702-generated, secret FISA court-approved logic permits warrantless spying on nearly everyone in the United States. So why did the NSA announce that it will pull back on the way it utilizes Section 702 as the basis for its mass spying?

Here is the back story.

FISA was written in the aftermath of the Watergate scandal, which involved illegal domestic spying. The purpose of FISA was to insert the judiciary between the NSA and its targets so as to ensure that there would be a consistent legal basis for the spying. What was that basis?

The Supreme Court has long characterized domestic spying as surveillance, and it has characterized surveillance as either a "search" or a "seizure" of communications. The Fourth Amendment requires judicially issued warrants for all government searches and seizures, and it mandates that those search warrants be based on probable cause of wrongdoing on the part of the person whom the government wishes to surveil and that the warrants themselves specifically describe the place to be searched or the person or thing to be seized.

Yet government lawyers, who have no opposition standing next to them when they appear in the FISA court, have convinced the court that the constitutional requirement of probable cause only applies to the government when it is engaging in law enforcement, not when it seeks intelligence data. So when the NSA asks the FISA court for authority to conduct surveillance, the FISA court complies, and it does so with warrants that do not specifically describe the place to be searched or the person or thing to be seized. These warrants typically authorize spying by ZIP codes or area codes or street addresses or telecommunications companies' customer lists.

What the NSA does not tell the FISA court is that its requests for approvals are a sham. That's because the NSA relies on vague language in a 35-year-old executive order, known as EO 12333, as authority to conduct mass surveillance. That's surveillance of everyone -- and it does capture the content of every telephone conversation, as well as every keystroke on every computer and all fiber-optic data generated everywhere within, coming to and going from the United States.

This is not only profoundly unlawful but also profoundly deceptive. It is unlawful because it violates the Fourth Amendment. It is deceptive because Congress and the courts and the American people, perhaps even the president, think that the FISA court has been serving as a buffer for the voracious appetite of the NSA. In reality, the NSA, while dispatching lawyers to make sophisticated arguments to the FISA court, has gone behind the court's back by spying on everyone all the time.

In a memo from a now-former NSA director to his agents and vendors, leaked to the public, he advised capturing all data from everyone all the time. This produces information overload, as there is more data than can be analyzed; each year, it produces the equivalent of 27 times the contents of the Library of Congress. Therefore, safety -- as well as liberty -- is compromised.

The recent mass killings in Boston, San Bernardino and Orlando were all preceded by text messages and cellphone conversations between the killers and their confederates. The NSA had the digital versions of those texts and conversations, but it had not analyzed them until after the killings -- because it has and has had too much data to analyze in a critical and timely manner.

So, why did the NSA announce that it is pulling back from its customary uses of Section 702? To give the false impression to members of Congress that it follows the law. Section 702, the great subterfuge, expires at the end of this year, and the NSA, which has spied on Donald Trump since before he was president, fears the debate that will accompany the efforts to renew it -- hence its softening public tone.

The genius of the Fourth Amendment is that it serves as a two-edged sword. By requiring probable cause before judges can issue warrants to agents for surveillance, the amendment both protects the privacy of those uninvolved in wrongdoing by leaving them alone and compels federal agents to focus their appetite for intelligence and their need for evidence on only those they legitimately feel may have done wrong.

In the meantime, Trump knows that he has been the victim of overzealous and unlawful surveillance, and we can expect during the debate over renewal of Section 702 that he will have a more sober and constitutional view of all this than his predecessors.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), in a commentary attributed to Kim Chol, an unknown person, stated China had “crossed the red line” of their alliance and that Pyongyang “will never beg for Beijing’s friendship.” They might want to beg for their forgiveness and patience though, after this “anonymous person’s” threats. China may now have determined it’s time to retaliate in some manner against their problem child, the abnormal fat kid that’s picking fights with everybody, daring them to knock the battery or the chip off of his shoulder. In February China stopped importing North Korean coal and attempted at that time, at least gave the appearance of doing so, to persuade Pyongyang to comply with international demands led by the US, South Korea and Japan, to end their hostility and weapons testing. The commentary stated, “China should no longer try to test the limits of the DPRK’s patience. China had better ponder over the grave consequences to be entailed by its reckless act of chopping down the pillar of DPRK-China relations.” It is a very rare occurrence for North Korea to criticize China, an indicator of the level of tensions in the region and between the two nations. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday that they have dealt with the issue “objectively and fairly,” without elaborating as to just what that means. Lu Kang, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said, “China has had a clear and consistent stance regarding the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue. Its position on the bilateral friendship between the two countries remains unwavered.” We’ll see how long that remains the case, if in fact it is. Ultimately there’s no solution for Kim’s mental instability short of removing him from power. He’s just a bit too enamored with his military strength, playing with his missiles like a kid with fireworks on the Fourth of July. He also can’t resist provocation. That’s a recipe for disaster, sooner or later he’s going to force his neighbors and other nations to take action.

Zurich cantonal authorities say they have concrete indications that actions by the Salafist group ‘True Religion’ are aimed at recruiting supporters for “Islamic criminal/terrorist activities.” Known for handing out the Muslim holy book on streets as part of a campaign called “Lies!” (German translation for “Read”), the group – founded by Gaza-born, German Salafist Ibrahim Abou-Nagie – promotes the violent Salafist movement in Islam, which takes a fundamentalist approach to the religion and rejects modern changes or innovations.

Swiss Info (h/t Mazdak A) The group was banned in Germany last year and shortly afterwards the Swiss Attorney General’s Office opened criminal proceeding against certain members. Authorities suspect that they could be guilty of participating in or supporting a criminal organisation and also potentially violating the federal law that prohibits groups such as Islamic State (ISIS), al-Qaeda or affiliated groups.

In Switzerland, the group is also active in Basel, Bern and in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, although it is not known how many texts have been distributed overall. In canton Basel City, moves have also been made to stop the distribution of the books: no printed matter is allowed to be handed out that poses a risk to public security.

On Friday, the cantonal justice office said it recommended banning the distribution of Korans by the group. Some of True Religion members are under criminal investigation, following a ban and police raid of the group in Germany last year.

There is no obligation for any canton or community to make open spaces available to organizations which do not share our values, the statement from the Zurich authorities explainedexternal link. This allows for the ban, without breaking any laws. The decision was based on a legal opinion, it added.

It is not known how many distribution campaigns have been carried out in canton Zurich, but it is clear that Winterthur is an important town for the group. The authorities there said they would analyse the recommendations. Winterthur had previously considering banning the distribution of qurans by the group but had not done so as it was decided a ban could only come after a proven criminal offence.

Canton Zurich Security Director Mario Fehr on Friday called on the Swiss government to ban True Religion. If this does not happen, he will start the process on a cantonal level, he said.

True Religion and their Lies! campaign are not the only Salafist export from Germany. Another group called “We love Muhammad” is also distributing Islamic literature – a biography of the life of Islam religion founder Mohammad – on Swiss streets.

CNS News As head of the international Christian relief group Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham has been providing humanitarian aid to the thousands of people, Christian and Muslim, displaced by ISIS’s genocide in Iraq and Syria.

When ISIS attacked Mosul and villages in northern Iraq, Christians were given about one hour to pack their things and flee, said Graham. Their homes and property were taken. Now, the Iraqi government apparently has no intention of helping the displaced Christians, said Graham. “They don’t want them to return,” he said. “They want the land. They want these villages.”

Arizona had became a top destination state for the Obama Regime to dump thousands of uneducated and unskilled Somali Muslim freeloaders, whose steep importation and travel costs were borne by unwilling American taxpayers. But now, Arizona not only has found a way to stop the influx, it has reversed it, with thousands of Somali Muslims leaving the state for other states that offer better welfare benefits.

USA News (h/t Cathpax) According to the Phoenix New Times, at least half of the 7,351 Somali refugees resettled in Arizona have moved out of the state because there are not enough welfare and government benefits for their liking. Additionally, they are fleeing because the state requires them to learn English and find jobs in order to attain food stamps.

Here’s more… Each immigrant in Arizona receives $925 from the US Department of Health and Human Service. With this payment, migrants is expected to foot the rest of their bills after the payment is spent. The state of Arizona doesn’t offer additional funding unless these welfares earn them. And it seems like too many steps for some of them.

All the refugees are required to complete a monthly report proving that they are learning English, and looking for jobs. If some of them skips to visit language courses or refuse to apply for job, their food stamps are cut off and they are denied all other state benefits.

Here’s what one Somali refugee said about Arizona’s system:

“The one thing that Arizona does very well is making sure that at least these families will not go hungry,” Somali asylum seeker Mukhtar Sheikh says. “But sometimes these families don’t get enough help — they come in saying, “Oh, my food stamps have stopped,’ so we have to call DES and ask them why.” (But they are fussy about the kind of food they can get with food stamps. If it isn’t Islam-approved halal food, they will stage a sit-in at goverment offices demanding that food banks give them halal food)

He then admitted that he and his family were leaving Arizona for better benefits.

“If that money runs out and they don’t have a job, then there starts to be pressure for them to find a way to survive,” Sheikh says. “There’s not a lot of programs to help them with employment here.”

This is such a great plan by Arizona.

The Department of Economic Security, which administers the Arizona Refugee Resettlement program, doesn’t track where refugees end up once they stop receiving services from the state, director of communications Tasya Peterson says. So it’s impossible to get an exact count of how many refugees have left for other states in search of better opportunities unlimited welfare benefits.

But, Peterson adds: “We do know that Somali refugees resettled in many states have relocated to live in cities in which the largest numbers of Somalis reside, including cities in Minnesota and Ohio, due to mutual assistance and other affinity relationships.” Below is a typical size Somali Muslim family in the U.S.

This WIVB story is remarkably poorly written, but it does manage to convey some vague idea that Muslim and Leftist students at the University at Buffalo were offended by a “Stop Sharia Law” message found on the campus bull that students paint on a daily basis. When I was at the University at Buffalo to be screamed at by Left-fascist and Muslim students, the courageous YAF students who invited me told me the real story: student groups paint the bull daily, and by common custom all understand that the first group to paint the bull will be allowed to display its message for a full day, with no other group repainting the bull until the next night.

However, when YAF students painted the bull with “Welcome Robert Spencer” on one side and “Stop Sharia Law” on the other, Leftist and Muslim students violated school tradition and painted it over almost immediately. Administrators, of course did nothing. Muslim students professed to be offended by the “Stop Sharia Law” message, although one would think that as self-proclaimed moderates they would reject stoning, amputation, the institutionalized discrimination against women and non-Muslims, denial of the freedom of speech, and anti-Semitism that Sharia entails. Of course, they’re relying on the ignorance of their Leftist allies about Sharia, and one can always count on the ignorance of Leftists.

Speaking of “self-proclaimed,” I am not actually a “self-proclaimed expert on radical Islam,” as I have never proclaimed myself an expert on anything, and my work stands or falls on the basis of the evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah, history and current events. Nor do I ever speak about “radical Islam,” which is a Western construct that does not exist in the Islamic world.

“College ‘Paint A Bull’ project gets political,” by Marissa Perlman, News 4, May 4, 2017:

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – The bull statue outside the student center at the University at Buffalo has become a divisive symbol on campus. Through an art project sponsored by the university, students and staff paint the bull. There are specific guidelines that students must follow.
That includes, you must paint the bull by the cover of night. When the sun comes out, your masterpiece is revealed to the rest of campus.
But some students say through this project, one important message is being forgotten: respect.
Akram Shibly, A UB graduate has tracked the ever-changing colors and ideas painted on the bull on campus. He said, “It’s funny, because the sign says to show respect to the buffalo, and the members of our community. I think all over the country, we see on college campuses there is a need and a desire to have a conversation.”
The “paint a bull” campaign started by the university promotes freedom of speech, with some guidelines. Shibly said, “The buffalo may be painted between sunset and sunrise by one group at a time-whoever is there first, and show respect to the buffalo and members of our community.”
But Shibly said among the paint, a message is getting lost. He said, “It went from being this opportunity for students to express themselves artistically, to a platform for hateful rhetoric going back and forth.”
The conflict started Monday, after a campus group invited Robert Spencer, A self proclaimed expert on radical Islam- who runs the website “Jihad Watch” to campus. To promote the speaker, the group painted a controversial message on the bull. It read, “Stop Sharia Law.” Shibly said, “Muslim and non-Muslim students came together to cover that up and they painted over it, “Salah equals peace. But, the next night, somebody covered that with, “God hates liberals.”…
Robert Spencer did speak on campus, and both supporters and protestors filled the room to capacity. The group, Young Americans For Freedom for freedom invited Spencer for the club’s first official event. Since then, the Muslim Student Association has met with the group to talk about their message on the bull- and their differing views.

ISIS published an article in its magazine Rumiyah on Thursday, telling all Muslims who support it to carry out attacks in France on Sunday, when millions of French people are to vote for either centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right candidate Marine Le Pen, in the country’s second round in the current presidential election.

“‘Don’t forget your duty as a Muslim. Choose a candidate to kill & polling station to burn,” the magazine article states. ISIS supporters are urged to put their faith in Allah and rise up to act against them.

The article also says that in the current election, the question is not who of the “two devils” is worse. “They are idolaters,” states the article, calling on its readers not to stand on the sidelines and wait, but destroy polling stations and have no pity for anyone who does not belong to their faith….”

And it’s already happening: “ISIS flag and pledge allegedly found in car of French military base suspect,” AFP, May 5, 2017:

French authorities arrested a suspected radical on Friday close to an airbase, finding guns nearby as well as an allegiance pledge to ISIS and several of the group’s flags in his car, sources close to the case said.
The pledge was on a computer flash drive discovered, along with the flags, in the ex-soldier’s vehicle.
A shotgun and two vintage pistols were also discovered hidden near the base in Evreux, which is northwest of Paris, the sources said.
The discovery comes two days before France votes in the presidential election run-off.
Police arrested the suspect early Friday after finding his car near the base. Paris anti-terror prosecutors are investigating, but it is not clear why he was in the area.
The suspect, who was born in 1983, converted to Islam and has been under close surveillance since 2014 due to his radicalisation….

On Monday, late-night TV comedian Jimmy Kimmel delivered an emotional monologue about his newborn son. His baby was born with a congenital heart defect that required emergency open-heart surgery.

Millions of American parents, myself included, have walked in Kimmel's shoes. We've experienced the terrifying roller coaster of emotions -- panic, helplessness, anger, anxiety, relief, grief and unconditional love -- that comes with raising chronically ill kids.

But Kimmel didn't use his high-profile platform to educate the public about coping with rare diseases. Or to champion the nation's best and brightest pediatric specialists and medical innovators. The Tinseltown celebrity turned his personal plight into a political weapon, which his liberal friends were all too happy to wield. Top Democrats tweeted their praise for Kimmel's advocacy of expanded government health care regulations:

"Well said, Jimmy," Barack liar-nObama gushed.

"Thanks @jimmykimmel for sharing your story & reminding us what's at stake w/health care," liar-Hillary Clinton effused.

The Huffington Post piled on: "Jimmy Kimmel's Humanity Underscores Heartlessness Of GOP's Approach To The Poor."

I don't need lectures from Huffington Post and Hollywood elites about having a heart. Neither do the rest of America's parents, whatever their political affiliations, who know what it's like to stay up night after endless night with suffering children, wondering whether they would ever be able to breathe normally again or see the light of the next day.

Kimmel doesn't need more maudlin Twitter suck-uppery. He needs a healthy fact-check.

"Before 2014," he claimed, "if you were born with congenital heart disease like my son was, there was a good chance you'd never be able to get health insurance because you had a pre-existing condition, you were born with a pre-existing condition."

This is false. If parents had health insurance, the child would have been covered under the parents' policy whether or not the child had a health problem.

Kimmel continued: "And if your parents didn't have medical insurance, you might not live long enough to even get denied because of a pre-existing condition."

The term "pre-existing condition" is used to describe uninsured chronically ill people who apply for insurance coverage, not for a child in need of immediate care. Moreover, in the U.S., virtually all hospitals are legally obligated to provide emergency treatment to every patient who urgently requires emergency medical care regardless of the patient's insurance status. This would include a newborn with an urgent heart condition. This requirement does not apply only to patients who enter an emergency room. It applies to all patients who set food on a hospital's property.

Kimmel then dramatically asserted: "If your baby is going to die, and it doesn't have to, it shouldn't matter how much money you make."

I repeat: It does not matter if you are rich are poor or if you are uninsured. If your baby is in the hospital, he or she will receive emergency care no matter what.

"This isn't football," Kimmel implored. "There are no teams. We are the team, it's the United States. Don't let their partisan squabbles divide us on something every decent person wants."

Kimmel implies that opposition to liar-nObamacare-style insurance mandates is both un-American and indecent. Had he been less hysterical, he would have acknowledged that different health care systems have pros and cons -- and decent Americans can have legitimate differences of opinion on such matters.

In the land of make-believe, it would be wonderful if everyone had free access to the same high-quality care Kimmel and his family did at Cedars-Sinai and Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

In the real world, liar-nObamacare plans have severely curtailed the number of doctors and hospitals that customers can use. Command-and-control regulations on guaranteed issue, community rating and pre-existing conditions favored by Kimmel and company are driving up costs for everyone. Limited access to specialists and long waits have become the increasing norm -- just like that other model of government-run health care, the Veterans Affairs system, where the despicable practice of "death by queuing" spiked under liar-nObama.

Moving toward a nationalized health system might play well with an emotion-driven late-night comedy audience. But sober observers know it would mean undermining America's superior access to cutting-edge diagnosis, innovative treatment, top specialists and surgeons, technology, and drugs.

Compassion without clear thinking is just a waste of Kleenex.

"I was on the way to winning until the combination of Jim Comey's letter on October 28 and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts in the minds of people who were inclined to vote for me but got scared off," liar-Hillary Clinton bitterly complained in an interview on Tuesday at the Women for Women International event. "And the evidence for that intervening event is, I think, compelling [and] persuasive." If by compelling and persuasive she means pathetically wrong.

When has it ever been considered a virtue of leadership to reject personal responsibility and embrace the status of a helpless victim? Well, besides Barack liar-nObama. While it may be human nature to blame others for our own failures, those individuals and leaders we most admire are those who refuse to fault others for the failings they experience. Unadmired and disliked liar-Hillary Clinton has repeatedly refused to admit her own failings and rise above that childish instinct to point the finger at others.

"I take absolute personal responsibility," liar-Clinton insisted. "I was the candidate. I was the person who was on the ballot." Except she went on to immediately shift blame to Comey and the Russian hack of John Podesta's emails for her loss. "There was a lot of funny business going on," she said. Yes, there was — it was called her private email server on which she illegally sent and received classified information. Comey didn't make her do that. The Russians didn't plant it. liar-Clinton herself made that decision, and then she lied about it every step of the way. Even Comey's last minute effort to exonerate her a second time failed because no one trusted her.

One thing to be gleaned from the interview is that liar-Hillary still craves relevancy. liar-Clinton stated, "I'm back to being an activist citizen — and part of the resistance." And she gave yet more evidence that she has still not come to grips with the loss, asserting several times, "Remember, I did win more than three million votes [more] than my opponent." There may not be a more ringing endorsement for the wisdom of the Founding Fathers' installation of the Electoral College than that. If liar-Hillary, were truly interested in what's best for the nation, she would own the loss and move on. Few liked her to start with, and no one likes a sore loser. ~The Patriot Post

A Tale of Two Slow Economies

By Robin Smith: Why did Americans spend less money than expected in the first quarter of 2017? The low GDP growth of only 0.7% in the first quarter must be analyzed for the sake of policy, but question the Leftmedia headlines. Leftists have demonized Donald Trump incessantly during his first 100 days to further their narrative of an illegitimate president. This is just the latest episode.

The question about a decline in retail spending is being genuinely pondered among economists, politicians and others trying to understand the economic paradox of America's first quarter. High consumer confidence and an investment surge in the stock market didn't translate into strong economic growth. The optimism came in the wake created by the USS Trump throwing overboard excessive regulations with tremendous anticipation that major tax reforms are next and, hopefully, a repeal of liar-nObamaCare. Yet consumers didn't spend money at the pace projected nor desired.

All sorts of theories exist — from a delay in IRS tax refunds due to fraud protections involving returns claiming certain Earned Income Tax Credits to the unseasonably warm weather to the March blizzard in the Northeast.

The Wall Street Journal noted Friday, "With confidence and stock prices high, gasoline prices modest and jobs and wages increasing, spending ought to be picking up." Nonetheless, the fact remains: Something prevented U.S. consumers from spending. This is critical when household consumption accounts for around 70% of the U.S. economy.

Let's state a few undeniable truths. First, the economy, while measured on specific, objective metrics, is also driven by perception — perhaps that's obvious when one of those analytics is "consumer confidence." Measuring the degree of consumer optimism about the state of their own financial health and the economy is based on the study of a consumer's intention to spend and save. That's sounds mighty precise, huh?

Second, it depends on whose economy it is as to whether the accounts of its health, failing or otherwise, are reported and how the topic is treated. We just endured eight years of the slowest recovery in American history — never reaching 3% in annual growth, while the federal debt doubled due to excessive government spending and regulation that flattened economic output and depressed wages. The liar-nObama economy was good for the investor class but decimated the middle, working class, as evidenced by historic lows in labor participation for able-bodied adults.

On cue, in the last weeks of Barack liar-nObama's presidency, CNBC staked out any economic good news resulting from the election upset in November — meaning the death of the Regulation-Nation — as the result of the mythical growth policies of the 44th president. Noting that Trump was "heading to the White House with a pledge to revive the U.S. economy and put millions of Americans back to work," the December 2 CNBC piece declared, "much of that goal has already been accomplished by President Barack liar-nObama."

The national media, formerly known as journalists, clearly talked up the liar-nObama economy, even in the waning moments of his regime. And, inarguably, the same concubines of the DNC will criticize every aspect of the Trump administration.

Back to the underlying question, but let's add a twist. Why did consumers hold onto their money despite the clear optimism of the Donald Trump presidency? Remove the Twitter posts from @RealDonaldTrump and #POTUS and his ongoing brawl with the #Presstitutes, the results of Trump's first 100 days in office prove he's keeping his campaign promises.

Remember liar-nObama's first 100 days? By mid-February, the American Recovery Act (a.k.a. the "stimulus") was moving to distribute a trillion dollars in government spending for those non-existent shovel-ready-jobs, making the massive deficit spending program a blue state bailout. liar-nObama then set out to heavily regulate the economy, nationalizing one-sixth of it and foisting major bureaucratic controls on the financial sector.

Unlike the liar-nObama stimulus, the Trump administration is proposing historic corporate and individual tax cuts to prevent government from the confiscation of earned wealth that could be in the hands of its producer. Again, Democrats and their media enablers wail that these tax cuts "could cost the government $ 6 trillion."

Exactly what money does government have? And who earned the money that was confiscated via taxes? The only money the government has was taken from those of us who produce.

Thoughtful and serious economists and policymakers understand and agree that allowing consumers to maintain this hefty sum and, in turn, spend it grows the overall economy. Cutting corporate tax rates down to 15% and the pass-through taxes paid by owners of small businesses from over 39% to 15% is rocket fuel to the engine of our economy.

Meanwhile, after more than seven years of soaring rhetoric, breathless campaign promises and more than 50 repeal votes in the House during the liar-nObama administration, liar-nObamaCare still exists. It may be the failure thus far to repeal that monstrosity that still has the American economic engine idling at the starting line.

So to recap, when liar-nObama entered office during a recession and drove up federal spending to unimaginable levels, proceeding to double the national debt in eight years, the media cheered the (paltry) economic growth. Now that Trump has taken office amidst slow GDP growth, his proposal to let those who earn the money keep more of it so as to jumpstart real and lasting economic growth is derided as unaffordable. The elites and the media are wrong on both counts. Keep that in mind in the days ahead. ~The Patriot Post

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ As Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas prepares for his first meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House today, the Arab leader and his advisers are expressing a kind of optimism not heard in years.

The Palestinians are saying they think Trump might be the one - with the right mix of bombast and unpredictability - to restart peace negotiations with Israel with the aim of securing Palestinian borders, a capital and a state.

It is an unusual moment because hope is not in abundant supply in the Middle East these days.

Most Israelis and Palestinians tell pollsters that they have low expectations for any change.

Similarly, former U.S. peace negotiators in Washington and their Israeli counterparts in Jerusalem say conditions are not right for a renewal of talks.

"There's incredibly low expectations" for the Trump-Abbas meeting, said David Makovsky, a former negotiator and scholar at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

"There's no context for a grand deal," he said. Makovsky said neither Trump's base nor the Jewish American community seems to be pushing for new talks.

But Abbas and his aides insist that movement is possible and say Trump just might be able to make headway.

Nine months of peace talks under then-Secretary of State John hanoi-Kerry broke down amid bitter recriminations by Israelis and Palestinians in April 2014.

Since then, there was a year-long spike in violence by lone-wolf-style Palestinian terrorists armed with knives and family cars, leading to tough countermeasures by Israeli security forces.

Abbas told Japanese reporters last month that he is prepared to hold a trilateral meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington "under the patronage of President Trump."

In an interview with Reuters on Thursday, Trump said: "I want to see peace with Israel and the Palestinians. There is no reason there's not peace between Israel and the Palestinians - none whatsoever."

Some administration officials have pressed for a regionwide push to solve the Israel-Palestinian conflict, a grand bargain that would give the Palestinians a clear road to statehood in exchange for the moderate Arab states' public recognition of Israel.

Netanyahu often says he is prepared to meet Abbas anywhere, anytime, without preconditions - before listing his preconditions: that Abbas must recognize not only Israel, which Abbas has done, but Israel as "the Jewish state." Abbas has been reluctant to do so, in part because more than 20 percent of the Israeli population consists of Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

Today, Israel and its congressional supporters are urging Trump to push Abbas to stop social welfare payments that the Palestinian Authority makes to the families of Palestinian prisoners and assailants, either wounded or killed by Israeli forces during terrorist attacks.

This would be hard for Abbas because prisoners and "martyrs" are almost unassailable in Palestinian society. The issue has become even thornier since one of Abbas's main rivals, Marwan Barghouti, and hundreds of other prisoners began a hunger strike more than two weeks ago. Barghouti was convicted by an Israeli court of five counts of murder and membership in a terrorist organization.

Abbas is also hemmed in by the Islamist militant movement Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007.

If Trump asks Abbas if he speaks for the Palestinians in Gaza, his answer might be a muddle.

Abbas has been fighting with rival Hamas over payments to government workers in Gaza, security arrangements, taxes and who should pay to keep the lights on in the economically crippled enclave.

This week, Hamas issued a policy document, a kind of addendum of its hard-line anti-Jewish founding charter. The new document states for the first time an apparent acceptance of an interim Palestinian state along pre-1967 borders, without recognizing Israel. Some see a softening of Hamas positions, to stay relevant. Israel called it propaganda from a terrorist organization.

Trump sent former real estate attorney-turned-Middle East envoy, Jason Greenblatt, to Jerusalem and Ramallah in March to explore the possibilities. Greenblatt got good marks from both sides. Trump also named his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as his point man for making peace in the Middle East.

In March, Trump met with Netanyahu at the White House, where administration officials pushed for constraint on the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, on land the Palestinians want for a future state. Those talks ended with no firm agreement. There are about 400,000 Jewish settlers living the West Bank on land they say was promised to them by history and G0D.

By the end of the liar-nObama administration, Palestinian leaders had moved away from seeing Washington as the key to a peace deal, emphasizing instead their campaign to "internationalize" the Palestinian quest for statehood, through U.N. resolutions and a symbolic gathering of world diplomats in Paris.

Trump has spoken with Abbas on the telephone. The meeting today will be their first face-to-face.

Abbas, 82, is not known for his oratory or sparkle, in public or private. He is often guarded and does not hold news conferences or tweet. He is unpopular among his own people, who question his legitimacy. Palestinian elections are years overdue.

But Abbas and his circle want to hear what Trump has to say. "We are glad that now the U.S. administration listens about us from us, and not from third parties," Abbas told the Japanese daily.

Jibril Rajoub, a top Palestinian official and a leader of the dominant Fatah political party, told The Washington Post on Monday: "We are very optimistic. I was in the States recently, and I was told this conflict is a priority issue for President Trump and he is serious to engage and have the ultimate deal."

Rajoub added: "From our side we will cooperate with President Trump. We believe that he is not in the pocket of anyone, except the American people." Trump's "America first" policy extends to national security, "which means settling the core of the conflict in the Middle East," he said.

The new chief representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Husam Zomlot, told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz last week: "When you have a president who from Day One commits himself to peace, and invests time and effort in reaching a solution, that's the definition of a historic opportunity."

"President Trump has the political capital, the relationships with all the parties involved, and the will to actually achieve this goal," Zomlot said.

Since taking office, Trump has met with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi, Jordan's King Abdullah II, Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Israel's Netanyahu. Dennis Ross, a longtime U.S. peace negotiator, said at a panel Monday in Washington that after 30 years, "I can safely say that we are at a low ebb."

He said, "There's complete disbelief on both sides in an ultimate deal."

{jewishworldreview.com} ~ One of the painful realities of our times is how long a political lie can survive, even after having been disproved years ago, or even generations ago.

A classic example is the phrase "tax cuts for the rich," which is loudly proclaimed by opponents, whenever there is a proposal to reduce tax rates. The current proposal to reduce federal tax rates has revived this phrase, which was disproved by facts, as far back as the 1920s -- and by now should be called "tax lies for the gullible."

How is the claim of "tax cuts for the rich" false? Let me count the ways. More important, you can easily check out the facts for yourself with a simple visit to your local public library or, for those more computer-minded, on the Internet.

One of the key arguments of those who oppose what they call "tax cuts for the rich" is that the Reagan administration tax cuts led to huge federal government deficits, contrary to "supply side economics" which said that lower tax rates would lead to higher tax revenues.

This reduces the whole issue to a question about facts -- and the hard facts are available in many places, including a local public library or on the Internet.

The hardest of these hard facts is that the revenues collected from federal income taxes during every year of the Reagan administration were higher than the revenues collected from federal income taxes during any year of any previous administration.

How can that be? Because tax RATES and tax REVENUES are two different things. Tax rates and tax revenues can move in either the same direction or in opposite directions, depending on how the economy responds.

But why should you take my word for it that federal income tax revenues were higher than before during the Reagan administration? Check it out.

Official statistics are available in many places. The easiest way to find those statistics is to go look at a copy of the annual "Economic Report of the President." It doesn't have to be the latest Report under President Trump. It can be a Report from any administration, from the liar-nObama administration all the way back to the administration of the elder George Bush.

Each annual "Economic Report of the President" has the history of federal revenues and expenditures, going back for decades. And that is just one of the places where you can get this data. The truth is readily available, if you want it. But, if you are satisfied with political rhetoric, so be it.

Before we turn to the question of "the rich," let's first understand the implications of higher income tax revenues after income tax rates were cut during the Reagan administration.

That should have put an end to the talk about how lower tax rates reduce government revenues and therefore tax cuts need to be "paid for" or else there will be rising deficits. There were in fact rising deficits in the 1980s, but that was due to spending that outran even the rising tax revenues.

Congress does the spending, and there is no amount of money that Congress cannot outspend.

As for "the rich," higher-income taxpayers paid more -- repeat, MORE tax revenues into the federal treasury under the lower tax rates than they had under the previous higher tax rates.

That happened not only during the Reagan administration, but also during the Coolidge administration and the Kennedy administration before Reagan, and under the G.W. Bush administration after Reagan. All these administrations cut tax rates and received higher tax revenues than before.

More than that, "the rich" not only paid higher total tax revenues after the so-called "tax cuts for the rich," they also paid a higher percentage of all tax revenues afterwards. Data on this can be found in a number of places, including documented sources listed in my monograph titled "'Trickle Down' Theory and 'Tax Cuts for the Rich.'"

As a source more congenial to some, a front-page story in the New York Times on July 9, 2006 -- during the Bush 43 administration -- reported, "An unexpectedly steep rise in tax revenues from corporations and the wealthy is driving down the projected budget deficit this year." Expectations, of course, are in the eye of the beholder.

I am a radical activist based in Washington DC. I fell in love with an energetic, charismatic activist I met in November when I was present to write about resistance to the G20 Summit, a global event in Antalya, Turkey. After I came home to the US, we talked every day. He was lovely and charming, I thought at the time. He offered a ready smile, engaging kindness, and intelligent conversation. He said all the right things to convince me that he cared about women’s rights and activism. In February, I decided to return to Turkey with the promise of love driving me forward. I couldn’t have known things would turn sour.

The first two weeks were quite the love story. I observed that he was drinking heavily, and called him an “alky,” but it was just a joke at first. We went to the beach and historic sites, and he introduced me to his friends. All seemed to be going well, and I felt that the romance was solidly moving forward.

Then came our first fight. I had wanted to interview a local woman for an article on Syrian refugees. He did not approve. He knew the woman and did not like her, so he strictly forbade me from speaking with her. After I questioned his rationale, he yelled and stormed out of the room to go smoke a cigarette. I just stood in the middle of the room not knowing what to do. Of course, as a Western woman, no one had ever forbidden me from speaking with anyone else. It was a strange feeling: Don’t I have a mouth to speak? Why can I not use it as I wish?

MacAuley learned what true Islam is versus what her leftist professors taught her.

Things deteriorated rapidly. His insecurity and childishness got worse. In the following weeks, I was violently pushed, blocked from leaving freely, and repeatedly told not to speak. If I spoke anyway, anger erupted. I endured threats that I would be burnt with cigarettes, flinching as he “faked” with his lit cigarette. I had to duck to avoid having sharp objects thrown at my face. I had water angrily poured over my head.

Unwanted sex? Rape? All the time. He did not stop to determine whether I consented to sex. Several times, he turned off my wifi and lied about it, a modern-day form of gaslighting. He verbally criticized me for using social media, my main link to the rest of my life back in the US, and tried to discourage me from using it. He forced me to unfriend one Turkish man on Facebook, and wanted me to unfriend many more.

MacAuley was even jailed by Turkish police because she was a Western journalist.

Two days later, however, I was jailed by Turkish police for several hours when I tried to simply enter a large public speech in Antalya by the president of Turkey. (They make a habit of jailing reporters and activists, and I didn’t look like I fit their norms. I wrote about this experience with the Turkish police here.) I had an “out of the frying pan and into the fire” sensation.

A parent of a student at Tarpon Springs High school said his daughter watched the movie, “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West,” in her sophomore history class. Terror-linked Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) says that this film has no place in schools.

WFla “This film is pure propaganda that is really used to demonize the Muslim religion by a group, the Clarion Project that was designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group,” said Thania Diaz Clevenger, the Civil Rights Dir. with CAIR. Obsession became a topic of discussion in 2008, when free copies were popping up in mail boxes across Florida around election time.

CAIR wants to know why the teacher would show the film. “How you could use that in an educational setting, especially for someone as a high school student, kind of boggles our mind,” said Clevenger. (How about educating students about the existential threat Islam poses to this country/)

The Thomas More Law Center (“TMLC”), a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, MI, announced that yesterday afternoon it filed a Public Records Request with Bernards Township on behalf of Township resident Cody Smith. Mr. Smith had written a scathing letter to the Bernards Township Committee attacking “the stench” of secrecy surrounding the scheduled special meeting which had quickly been called for late Friday, April 21st.

That meeting was subsequently cancelled because of the lack of proper notice. Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of TMLC, observed, “Based on the timing of the meeting late in the day on Friday, the meeting agenda, and discovery that resolutions approving the settlements of both the DOJ and the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge (Islamic Society) lawsuits had already been filed with the Township clerk, it is probable that a decision had already been secretly made and that the scheduled meeting was a mere formality.”

TMLC represents several Bernards Township residents who were served with intrusive and harassing subpoenas by Islamic Society attorneys. Their only involvement was to make public comments at a public Township hearing. They were non-parties to the lawsuit, had never had an official role in the Township and had no authority to deny the Islamic Society’s permit request. Nonetheless, the subpoenas demanded the production of emails, voice mails, text messages, and social media posts concerning Muslims, Islam, or anything to do with Muslim worship. The subpoenas clearly infringed upon their First Amendment rights to free speech and freedom of association. The only purpose of the subpoenas was to punish residents who dared to oppose the Islamic Society’s request.

Thompson continued: “The Township Committee knows that its motivations for disapproving the proposed zoning changes were completely proper and were not animated by hatred for any person or group. Unfortunately, the tactics of intimidation waged by the Islamic Society and the deep-state Department of Justice attorneys, appointed by former Attorney General Eric Holder to carry-out his left-wing agenda, may have taken their toll.

“We filed this open records request to obtain the settlement agreements that we believe have already been tacitly agreed upon by the parties. In doing so, we hope to shine a light on the dark tactics employed by the Islamic Society, its attorneys, and deep-state attorneys within the Department of Justice.”

He is “sickened” by Muslims who show affection to non-Muslims. He is speaking along with Siraj Wahaj, a suspect in a jihad terror attack. Why, if what we are constantly told about jihadis being a “tiny minority of extremists” among Muslims, is he speaking at a major Islamic conference in Sydney? Why hasn’t the Vast Majority of Muslims Who Abhor Terrorism risen up to protest this and get him canceled? And why did Ayaan Hirsi Ali have to cancel her trip to Australia for security reasons, but Yusha Evans can move about there freely without any problem? I am not in any suggesting that he be physically menaced; I am pointing out the physical menace that Muslims who believe the same way Yusha Evans does are causing for non-Muslims in Australia.

As for Siraj Wahaj, even if he is completely not guilty of any involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, just imagine the outcry if a counter-jihad conference featured a speaker who had been a suspect in any act of violence. But this will pass generally unnoticed.
