By Todd Johnson: President Donald Trump's choice last week to launch 59 missiles at the Shayat Airfield in Syria was viewed by many in the world as a measured and proportional response to Bashar al-Assad's contemptible and horrific decision to use chemical weapons on his own people. They saw Trump's swift reaction as presidential and a much-needed defense of international norms and values. Domestically, support for Trump's decision has been widespread on Capitol Hill and around the country, a rare phenomenon considering the fractious nature of American politics in this day and age. Most observers believe that Trump's actions were needed to shore up American credibility around the world, primarily because of Barack liar-nObama's inability to enforce his own self-imposed "red-line" back in 2013.
In a letter to Congress following the attacks, President Trump justified his actions under the executive powers found in Article II of the Constitution. However, Trump and his national security team, from National Security Advisor LTG H.R. McMaster to Secretary of Defense James Mattis, have not yet articulated a strategic vision on the way ahead for Syria. Due to this lack of clarity, a growing contingent of Congress feels now is the appropriate time to review the executive branch's legal authority for future military action against the Assad government. Specifically, they want to determine whether a new authorization for use of military force (AUMF) needs to be crafted for operations in Syria.
Before determining that, it's important to understand the concept of its implementation. Per the War Powers Act of 1973, United States military forces cannot operate in a deployed status for more than 60 days and operations lasting longer than that time frame require a congressional declaration of war or an authorized use of military force. Currently, the United States conducts operations around the world under AUMFs that were passed in 2001 and 2002.
The 2001 AUMF, only 60 words long, was invoked by both the George W. Bush and Barack liar-nObama administrations to justify military actions around the world. Now, the Trump administration has used it to justify troop presence in Syria, where U.S. forces are conducting missions on a daily basis. However, many legislators feel that these pieces of legislation are dated and need to be modified or replaced if the U.S. is to continue operating in Syria, one of the most dangerous places in the world. The question is whether or not the leadership of Congress is willing to underwrite a thoughtful debate about the future of American forces in the region.
The current situation in Syria is apocalyptic. The humanitarian crisis is epic — between 400,000-500,000 people are dead and up to five million more have fled the war-torn nation. The civil war in Syria has been an ongoing conflict for the last six years and it's an incredibly complicated area of operations. Multiple factions, including the Assad government (actively supported by Russian and Hezbollah troops), Sunni Arabs, Salafi jihadists and Kurdish forces are just a few of the groups fighting for power.
If Trump plans on continuing actions in Syria, then Congress needs to press him and his team for a strategic plan and goals. Once a plan has been codified by the executive branch, Congress then needs to work with Trump's national security team on developing an AUMF that enables the Defense Department and other executive agencies to address the security concerns of Syria and the surrounding nations, including Jordan and Lebanon. This is Trump's best opportunity to show that he is serious about changing the dysfunctional dynamics of the Levant.
However, if he chooses to ignore Congress, he will continue the recent pattern of presidents who fail to appreciate the constitutional role of the legislative branch when it comes to putting our nation's men and women in harm's way.
We'll close with the words of our first commander in chief, George Washington: "The Constitution vests the power of declaring war with Congress," he wrote in 1793, "therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject, and authorized such a measure."  ~The Patriot Post

{rickwells.us} ~ The word is out. Jared Kushner is a pain in the neck to those who have to tolerate his incessant micro-managing, interference and intrusions... He’s earned a reputation as a know-nothing who doesn’t realize he’s still just a kid who wasn’t born knowing everything, that having rich parents doesn’t make you a great global intermediary or philosopher. He’s the equivalent of a rich, white liar-nObama without the title. President Trump could tell him to back off, but he doesn’t seem to want to hurt his snowflake son-in-law’s feelings. Unfortunately, while Jared is earning his White House participation award, our country and our President’s agenda are put on hold. But it’s worse than that, Kushner is being given free rein to trample the hopes of Americans by undercutting the populist message that carried President Trump to victory. He doesn’t belong, he’s not one of us, he’s no deplorable. {lidblog.com} ~ Republican leaders in the House are calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to reopen the case into Lois Lerner’s persecution of conservatives while leading the IRS... You no doubt remember just a few years ago when we learned that the government agency was picking out conservatives and conservative organizations for particular scrutiny, while allowing liberal and non-partisan organizations to operate as usual. Documentation discovered through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests proved that conservatives had a much more difficult time dealing with the IRS than their left-leaning counterparts and that these difficulties were mandated from the highest offices in the IRS and perhaps as high up as the White House. As the IRS scandal was unfolding Congressional  Republicans, and conservatives across the nation, demanded a federal investigation into the obviously immoral and probably illegal behavior at the agency. It was around this time that the Democrats first found a way to rely on the new “dog ate my homework” defense, and Ms. Lerner’s computer suddenly crashed and any evidence of her malfeasance was lost...  http://lidblog.com/house-gop-pushes-trump-administration-prosecute-lois-lerner/

{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ Judicial Watch today announced it has sent notice-of-violation letters threatening to sue 11 states having counties in which the number of registered voters exceeds the number of voting-age citizens... as calculated by the U.S. Census Bureau's 2011-2015 American Community Survey. According to the letters, this is "strong circumstantial evidence that these ... counties are not conducting reasonable voter registration record maintenance as mandated under the National Voter Registration Act  (NVRA)."  Both the NVRA and the federal Help America Vote Act require states to take reasonable steps to maintain accurate voting rolls. The 11 states are: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and Tennessee.  The states have 90 days after receiving the letters to address the problem and provide Judicial Watch documentation showing that they have conducted a "statewide effort to conduct a program that reasonably ensures the lists of eligible voters are accurate." Judicial Watch informed the states that should they fail to take action to correct violations of Section 8 of the NVRA, it would file suit... http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/judicial-watch-warns-11-states-to-clean-voter-registration-lists-or-face-federal-lawsuit?f=must_reads

{ijr.com} ~ North Korean officials reportedly told foreign journalists to be ready for a “big and important event” on Thursday amid escalating tensions with the United States... No other details were provided. There was some speculation that the “event” could turn out to be some sort of public showcasing of North Korea’s military capability, The Hill reported. However, that wasn't the only news coming out of North Korea. Another concerning report Wednesday indicated that U.S. intelligence officials believe North Korea has placed a nuclear device inside a tunnel in preparation for a test...

This State Just SURRENDERED to
Islamic Sharia Law
{angrypatriotmovement.com} ~ Our politicians still do not understand the dangers of Sharia law, and they are scared to speak out against it because of our leftist culture... Montana’s anti-American governor, Steve Bullock, vetoed a bill that would have banned Sharia law. While vetoing this heroic bill, Gov. Bullock commented, “There is absolutely no need for this bill,” adding that there would be a “nationwide surge in hate crime” if it passed. This is just awful. This governor clearly does not understand Sharia law. A rise in hate crime is minor compared to the consequences of allowing Sharia law to be normalized in our culture. Sharia law is applied differently in every Islamic country, but it is essentially an Islamic legal system that regulates public and private behavior, as well as beliefs. Sharia law is extremely dangerous, especially if you are homosexual or a woman. Let’s explore some of the awful punishments tied to Sharia law...  http://www.angrypatriotmovement.com/this-state-just-surrendered/

{townhall.com} ~The history of the world is the history of violence. I had planned to write this column about the most critical act of violence in human history and its superhuman aftermath -- the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter, which celebrates His resurrection in a few days, is the centerpiece of all Christian belief. Without the risen Christ, we are doomed. Only with Him can we be saved. An old Irish priest told me in my youth that Easter means there is hope for the dead. And if there is hope for the dead, there is hope for the living.

But the living must do more than just hope, because governments continue to crush hope with violence, irrespective of moral and legal norms. Last week, as Holy Week was approaching, the United States launched 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian airfield because President Donald Trump was morally repulsed at the use of poison gas in Syria in the days preceding.

Trump argued that the gas could only have been deployed intentionally by the Syrian government on its own people and that behavior was so repellant, so contrary to civilized moral norms, so disruptive to the world order as to constitute a national security threat to the United States -- hence his use of force. Was his action legal?

Here is the back story.

Syria, along with the United States, is a signatory to the United Nations Charter. The U.N. Charter is a treaty signed by President Harry Truman and ratified by the U.S. Senate. Under the Constitution, treaties are the supreme law of the land, alongside the Constitution, and the federal government has a moral and legal obligation to be bound by them. The U.N. Charter limits member nations' use of military force to defensive responses to actual attacks, pre-emptive strikes prior to nearly certain attacks and correctives pursuant to U.N. consent or pursuant to another treaty obligating military force to help an ally.

These limitations are based on Judeo-Christian just war theory, which has been accepted in the Western world for centuries and is now codified into international law. Under this international law, military force must be a last resort, used only when necessary to fight back or to prevent an imminent attack. It also must be proportional to the harm it seeks to eradicate and be likely to produce the result it seeks. Anything short of this violates international law, to which the U.S. is bound by numerous treaties.

Syria is not a threat to the U.S., nor is it likely to become one. Nor is the argument that we needed to send a message to Syria lest it use poison gas on the U.S. a valid legal argument or a realistic political one. Were this subjective fear a valid legal basis for the use of military force, the president could send missiles anytime and anywhere at anyone or anything with legal impunity.

The president's revulsion at the sight of children suffering horrifically from the effects of poison gas is an emotional reaction -- a very human and utterly normal one. Yet it in no way legally justifies an attack on a sovereign nation.

In addition to various treaties, the president is subject, of course, to the Constitution, which provides that only Congress can declare war. Yet Congress gave the president a small window in which to use military force on his own in the War Powers Resolution of 1973. That law was written in the midst of President Richard Nixon's undeclared war in Cambodia to limit the president's emergency use of military force absent a declaration of war from Congress to defensive strikes, pre-emptive strikes and treaty obligations.

Earlier this week, 21 retired military, intelligence and FBI personnel jointly argued that President Trump was moved to this attack by misguided or incomplete intelligence. Their view -- which is based on eyewitness reports from U.S. military on the ground in Syria and intelligence reports from their former colleagues -- is that Syrian President Bashar Assad did not use poison gas on his own people earlier this month. They note that Assad is clearly winning his long-fought civil war and does not need the international headache of being tarnished as a person who gassed children; nor would there be even the remotest military gain to him if he did so.

These former federal officials point out that the U.S. military is playing a sub-rosa role with Russia and Syria in fighting al-Qaida and the Islamic State group. In this case, Syrian and probably Russian military erroneously thought a warehouse the Syrians attacked stored only conventional Islamic State weapons. It apparently stored an Islamic State chemical arsenal, as well, which, after explosions and exposure, unleashed a plume of poisonous gas that traveled in the atmosphere to a nearby village and slaughtered innocents.

Assad, for all his faults, is vigorously fighting al-Qaida and the Islamic State. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Why would America harm another sovereign entity that is trying to take out al-Qaida and the Islamic State? Attacking Syrian military assets only aids al-Qaida and the Islamic State, which constitutes providing material assistance to terrorist organizations. Could anyone have imagined our country's ever doing that?

For months, I have been warning about the unchecked power of the intelligence community to manipulate the president by selectively revealing and selectively concealing what it knows about our enemies and our friends. Did Trump have all the intelligence he needed in front of him before he attacked Syria? Apparently not. Did he use proportional force defensively or pre-emptively to prevent harm to the U.S.? Clearly not. Can he legally use military force to punish or to teach a lesson to another sovereign state that poses no threat to the U.S.? Absolutely not, or there will be no end to government violence.

Yet in this time of violent madness, there is the joy of the Resurrection. Happy Easter.

So, what happened to all that renowned German ingenuity?

Are they spending so much money feeding and housing millions of Muslim freeloaders, posing as refugees, that they no longer have enough money to protect their citizens…from the Muslim invaders?

The German government started erecting Concrete Barriers around densely populated areas or festivals to prevent Muslim terrorists from mowing down civilians with hijacked assault trucks, now nearly a monthly occurrence in Europe. So they decided to erect concrete barriers to prevent trucks from slamming into people. Each concrete blocks weighs 2.4 tons. Watch what happens in a crash test.

Illinois: Two more Muslims arrested for conspiring to help ISIS

( MUSLIMS DO NOT ASSIMILATE, THEY INFILTRATE! )

Source: Two Illinois men charged with working to help ISIS | WREG.com

CHICAGO — Two men from a north suburb of Chicago were arrested today on a federal complaint charging them with conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State.

JOSEPH D. JONES, also known as “Yusuf Abdulhaqq,” 35, of Zion, and EDWARD SCHIMENTI, also known as “Abdul Wali,” 35, of Zion, are charged with conspiring to knowingly provide and attempt to provide material support and resources to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). Jones and Schimenti were arrested this morning. They are scheduled to make an initial appearance today at 3:00 p.m. before U.S. Magistrate Judge M. David Weisman in Chicago.

Also today, authorities executed a search warrant at Jones’ residence in Zion.

According to a complaint and affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago, Jones and Schimenti pledged their allegiance to ISIS and advocated on social media for violent extremism in support of the terrorist group. In the fall of 2015 the pair befriended three individuals whom Jones and Schimenti believed were fellow ISIS devotees. Unbeknownst to Jones and Schimenti, two of the individuals were undercover FBI employees and the third individual was cooperating with law enforcement and was not an ISIS supporter, the complaint states.

Over the next several months Jones and Schimenti met the undercover FBI employees and the cooperating source on numerous occasions, during which Jones and Schimenti discussed their devotion to ISIS and their commitment to Islamic State principles, the complaint states. Some of the meetings took place in Waukegan, Zion, Bridgeview, North Chicago, Highland Park and Chicago.

At one point, Jones and Schimenti shared photographs of themselves holding the Islamic State flag at the Illinois Beach State Park in Zion, according to the complaint. In a recorded conversation with the cooperating source, Schimenti commented that Schimenti would like to see the ISIS flag “on top of the White House,” the complaint states.

Earlier this year Schimenti engaged in physical training exercises with the cooperating source at a gym in Zion, the complaint states. Schimenti believed the cooperating source intended to travel overseas to fight for ISIS, and Schimenti commented that the exercises would “make you good, you know, in the battlefield,” according to the complaint.

Last month the pair furnished several cellular phones to the cooperating source, believing they would be used to detonate explosive devices in ISIS attacks, the complaint states. On April 7, 2017, Jones and Schimenti drove the cooperating source to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago with the understanding that the source would be traveling to Syria to fight with ISIS, the complaint states. Schimenti told the source to “drench that land with they, they blood,” according to the complaint.

The charge in the complaint is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. If convicted, the Court must impose a reasonable sentence under federal statutes and the advisory U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.

CNN Anchor Suggest Americans Wear Islamic Hijabs To Show ‘Solidarity with Muslims’ [VIDEO]

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate )

A CNN host used a segment on Islamophobia  to suggest American non-Muslims may want to start wearing hijabs.
“New Day” with Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota featured a piece titled “The Trump transition: Fearful Muslim women take steps to be safe” just hours before Abdul Razak Ali Artan, 20, attempted to use a vehicle and a butcher knife to kill Ohio State University students. The ill-timed story ended with Ms. Camerota discussing ways to ease the fears of Muslim Americans.
“Maybe there will be a movement where people wear the head scarf in solidarity. You know, even if you’re not Muslim,” Ms. Camerota said, The Daily Caller reported . “Maybe it’s the way people shave their heads, you know, sometimes in solidarity with somebody who is going through something.”

Working out our salvation

NOTEWhen writing about God and Jesus, The Daily Jot means YHVH as God and Yeshua Ha Mashiach as Jesus--the actual original names and the true nature and character of them.

Friday, April 14, 2017
As we Christians celebrate the highest of holy days in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it may well be wise to have some introspect. My son recently sent me an article about the decline of Christianity in our nation. It talked about how only 18% of Millennials find Christianity relevant. It said Christians get enraged at immorality, policy, and the state of affairs in our country and around the world. Yet we are demanding that people hold to moral beliefs as justified by a book that they don't even read. On a day that we commemorate Christ sacrificing his life that all who believe on him may have everlasting life, we Christians, as a whole, should be doing a better job as disciples than what we are doing.

1 Corinthians 5:12 asks, " For what have I to do to judge them also that are outside? do not you judge them that are within?" In direct speak, it means that we have no business holding those who do not know the gospel accountable to our standards. That's why we are exhorted, even commanded, to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey what the Lord has commanded us. We must find ways to make Christianity relevant. It has been tainted to be identified with political ideals, when in reality, the political ideals should be identified with Christianity, foundationally centered on God's love and love for one another. It starts with our individual relationship with the Lord. To look at our families, communities, states, nations from a Christian lens, we should first start by looking in the mirror.

The Apostle Peter wrote in 1 Peter 4:17-19, "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator." The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 10:13-14, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?"

Jesus said in Matthew 24:23, "Then if any man shall say unto you Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not." Our national identity and, more importantly, our personal salvation is diluted tremendously if we, as Peter put it, "scarcely be saved." If America's preachers are so intent on preaching/teaching a self indulgent, extra Biblical and emotional version of the Christ, then what Christ are we following--the real Son of God, crucified and risen, for our sins, or some humanist version of Christ that fits a social or political extra-biblical gospel? It is here, not on the national policy front, that we as a people have lost our identity. This should be a serious personal consideration that gives weight to working out your salvation with fear and trembling.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

My Near-Abortion Experience: What I Would Have Missed

Those of you who have read one of my earliest stories know how close I came to an abortion when I was pregnant with my fourth child. I considered it as a single 40-year-old mom of three. Now having just passed my son’s third birthday, I reflect on what could have been had I chosen death instead of life. Here’s what I would have missed.

I would have missed my baby calling me “Mama” for the first time. More than that, I would’ve missed hearing him sleepily say “Mama, I want you,” first thing in the morning as he’s waking in his crib.

I would’ve missed his cuddling and the kisses where we play who-can-smack-louder and say “MUA!”

I would’ve missed his first dance as I played TobyMac’s Feel It. (Incidentally, the chorus says, “You take our brokenness and make us beautiful.”)

I would have missed that precious day when a little voice in the back seat of the car said, “Mommy, you’re my best friend.” I almost cried.

I would have missed him saying “No, I want Daddy to change my poopy diaper,” because only Daddy knows how. (That is just fine with me).

I would’ve missed the dumbfounded look on his face when he was watching Johnny Depp play Willy Wonka and hearing him say, “Something on the T.V.’s strange.”

I would’ve missed hearing him say, “Mommy, I want to sleep in your big girl bed.” (Um, no.)

I would’ve missed hearing him talk about a bad day at daycare and concluding the story with “Every single one of those kids get on my last nerve!” (I laughed hysterically.)

I would’ve missed hearing him quote one of my favorite Madea movies, hollering at me: “Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth??!”

I would’ve missed all of the firsts. First kiss, first hug, first steps, first words, first tooth, first real meal.

I wouldn’t have known that he loved green beans. Or boudain (gross). Or hot salsa from Mexican restaurants. Or black olives that he puts on his fingers before popping them in his mouth.

I wouldn’t have known he was so independent. That his mantra would be, “I want to do it all by myself!” while brushing his teeth, or crawling into his car seat, or sitting on the big boy potty.

I wouldn’t have known his awesome personality. I wouldn’t have known him.

Yes, I would’ve missed all of the temper fits, the corner time, the spitting, the screaming, the poopy diapers. But I would’ve missed the greatest blessing in my life, too. I would’ve missed an unconditional love that is almost unequaled. Only Jesus did that better.

If I chose death over life, I would’ve still been trying to convince myself that it was only tissue. That I wasn’t ready. That I didn’t make a mistake. That a baby would’ve complicated things. And they do. But in the best way possible.

Trump White House Moves Forward with Plan Government Employee Union Dubs ‘Dangerous’

In six months, the Trump administration plans to produce a plan to shrink the size of government, eliminate programs, and reduce the federal workforce—and is seeking public input on how to proceed.

The memo from Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney directs federal agencies:

As part of their planning efforts, agencies should focus on fundamental scoping questions (i.e. analyzing whether activities should or should not be performed by the agency), and on improvements to existing business processes.

Requiring agencies to justify their functions is long overdue, said Chris Edwards, director of tax policy studies at the libertarian Cato Institute. He said the “scoping” should include determining if activities are “nonessential, whether they violate federalism, and whether they would flunk a cost-benefit test.”

Still, he said the success of the plan could depend on the will of both Congress and political appointees implementing the reforms.

“This could be the best shot we have of eliminating agencies,” Edwards told The Daily Signal. “A lot will depend on the quality of political appointees, and are they committed to smaller government. During the [George W.] Bush administration, a lot of the political appointees were just corporate climbers.”

“Also, will members of Congress be supportive? After [President Donald] Trump’s skinny budget, we saw a lot of Republicans in Congress, unfortunately, defend programs in their region,” Edwards added.

Trump has moved at a very deliberative pace in filling political positions thus far, noted Robert Rector, a senior research fellow with The Heritage Foundation, who is skeptical of the plan.

“Policy changes can’t come from the bureaucracies themselves,” Rector told The Daily Signal. “Policy change needs to come through Congress and comes when you bring outsiders in to impose reforms.”

Rector said neither the Department of Health and Human Services nor the Department of Housing and Urban Development were likely to come back with viable plans for change.

“If they did, it’s the exact opposite of what reform you would want,” he said.

In a White House video, Mulvaney said, “President Trump calls it draining the swamp. What it really means is making government more accountable to you, more effective and more efficient.”

The Mulvaney memo doesn’t outline cuts, but with the requirements, the video says, “Mulvaney is building a case to cut government a year from now.”

Mulvaney released the 14-page memo Wednesday, titled “Comprehensive Plan for Reforming the Federal Government and Reducing the Federal Civilian Workforce,” that aims to save tax dollars and require each government agency to submit a proposal to modernize and streamline operations in 180 days. The OMB is seeking input from the public, and will incorporate the final plans into the fiscal year 2019 budget proposal issues next March. President Donald Trump’s signed an executive order on March 13 directing the OMB to submit a comprehensive plan to reorganize the federal government.

The Mulvaney memo proposes “crosscutting reforms” to streamline all programs over the next four years, including reducing the number of federal employees.

But the plan will have opponents. The leader of the American Federation of Government Employees, the largest union representing federal workers, said, “There are some good ideas and some very dangerous ideas” in the memo.

One he didn’t like stresses more outsourcing, when the government already spends twice as much on contractors as employees, according to the union.

“Nobody knows precisely what these contractors do, how well they do it, who they’re hiring, or where they’re working,” American Federation of Government Employees President J. David Cox said in a statement. “In contrast, the data on federal employees’ jobs, pay, productivity, demographics, and location are completely transparent and widely scrutinized, as is appropriate.”

Cox also defended funding for the Environmental Protection Agency workforce. But the union president did find some common cause with the Trump administration’s report.

He said that it would be useful to evaluate layers of management—or the problem of having too many supervisors per worker.

“As representatives of front-line employees, AFGE members can tell you that excessive ratios of managers to workers on the front lines creates operational inefficiency and takes resources away from the direct provision of services to taxpayers,” Cox said in the statement. “The government does have too many managers and some of those positions should be converted to jobs that serve the American people.”

Reducing the workforce is important, but eliminating whole government programs is where the money is, Edwards said. The report requires agencies to justify why government should be involved in a specific function.

“There is no doubt the left has built a fortress to defend programs,” Edwards said. “Federal money goes to the states and then to city and local governments and every level will defend that money. So will government employees, contractors, and interest groups. It’s a fortress, but it’s not insurmountable. When Republicans are able to cut spending, it doesn’t hurt them politically. It usually helps them.” (For more from the author of “Trump White House Moves Forward with Plan Government Employee Union Dubs ‘Dangerous'” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/04/trump-white-house-moves-forward-plan-government-employee-union

Top Tax-Writing Republicans Renew Call for DOJ to Investigate Lois Lerner over IRS Scandal

Two top tax-writing Republicans in the House are calling on the Department of Justice to reopen its investigation into whether former IRS official Lois Lerner unlawfully targeted conservative organizations applying for tax-exempt status.

Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady and Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Peter Roskam sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions Wednesday, noting the Obama administration refused to review the information the committee gathered in its extensive investigation into the matter. According to the congressmen, there is clear evidence Lerner willfully partook in criminal activity during her tenure as the Exempt Organizations Division director, yet former President Barak Obama insisted there was “not a smidgeon of corruption” at the agency.

“On April 9, 2014, the House Committee on Ways and Means voted to send a letter to the Department of Justice referring former IRS Exempt Organizations Division Director Lois G. Lerner for criminal prosecution,” Brady and Roskam wrote. “As indicated in the attached letter, the Committee’s nearly three-year investigation uncovered evidence of willful misconduct on the part of Ms. Lerner. Despite this fact, and for what many believe were purely partisan reasons, the prior administration refused to review Ms. Lerner’s misconduct.”

The lawmakers cited evidence showing Lerner provided misleading information to Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration’s questions and the use of her personal email, which put taxpayers’ confidential information at risk of exposure, as reasons for reopening the investigation.

The DOJ announced in October, 2015, it would not pursue criminal charges against Lerner at the close of its two-year probe. The investigation faced challenges due to Lerner’s crashed hard drive, the absence of email archives and the destruction of over 400 electronic backup tapes, and it was unable to prove the IRS official “intentionally discriminated against an applicant based upon viewpoint” and cited line-employees’ “ignorance, inertia” and “negligence” for delays in tea party applications for r 501(c )(3) status. MIT Press Publishes Children’s Book Titled “Communism for Kids”

Once again, academia proves itself to be a hotbed of delusional communists, who seek to warp the minds of the young with propaganda.

MIT Press, a publisher affiliated with the world renown Massachusetts Institute of Technology, recently published a children’s book titled Communism for Kids. Its content is every bit as asinine as the title suggests. According to the book’s description:

…This little book proposes a different kind of communism, one that is true to its ideals and free from authoritarianism. Offering relief for many who have been numbed by Marxist exegesis and given headaches by the earnest pompousness of socialist politics, it presents political theory in the simple terms of a children’s story, accompanied by illustrations of lovable little revolutionaries experiencing their political awakening.

Considering that the far-left consists of a bunch of unimaginative joykills, it’s not surprising that the book isn’t very good, as the many one star reviews on Amazon can attest. One reviewer stated, “Essentially the book is summarized thusly: The world is terrible because a bunch of entrepreneurs invented things like television, cars and nice homes. Because of scarcity, not everyone can have those things. Therefore, those things are evil and pursuing them is capitalist brainwashing.“ Another reviewer wrote “Will sell like hotcakes in Venezuela. They need toilet paper.”

Though the description claims that this book is “perfect for all ages,” it’s not even a very good children’s book. It’s apparently riddled with with academic jargon and references to political movements that no child would understand.

What’s most surprising, is not that a book with this subject matter would be published, but that it was published by MIT press. MIT produces some of the most brilliant graduates in the world, who go on to make countless contributions to the global marketplace through inventions, research, and startups. It’s an engine of entrepreneurship. It’s estimated that if all the companies that were started by MIT graduates were one country, it would be the 17th largest economy in the world. I guess no school is safe from the blathering madness of leftist academics. Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, whom The Patriot Post has carried in our Right Opinion section since 2008, won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for commentary. Normally, we're not inclined to celebrate Pulitzer Prizes, as they're typically just the Leftmedia's way of self-congratulation, but this win by a conservative is different.
Noonan is one of the Journal's and our most popular columnists. As a speechwriter for Ronald Reagan, she crafted such memorable speeches as the "Boys of Pointe du Hoc" marking the 40th anniversary of D-Day, and the remarks he gave after the Challenger explosion in 1986. Indeed, Noonan has a way with words that those of us who write for a living aspire to capture.
The Journal describes why Noonan was honored this year: "Ms. Noonan won for a variety of her columns during 2016, in particular for her prescient pieces on Donald Trump and the political uprising his candidacy represented. Ahead of most others, she foresaw Trump's rise and his appeal to Americans who were frustrated by the leaders of both major political parties. Ms. Noonan didn't shrink from addressing Trump's many flaws as a candidate, but she always showed great respect for the intelligence of voters and explained the currents of American life and politics that catapulted Trump to the White House."
Ironically, it's Noonan's depth of understanding and empathy that earned her great scorn among some grassroots conservatives for her writing not just on Trump but on Barack liar-nObama. She wrote insightfully about why liar-nObama appealed to millions and why he won twice. Likewise, early on she saw how and why an outsider and former Democrat like Trump managed to win the Republican nomination in spite of — or in some case, because of — his deep flaws. She fully understood what ultimately undid liar-Hillary Clinton and foresaw that Trump would pull off the upset.
Noonan's Pulitzer win is, in our estimation, well deserved.

{punchingbagpost.com} ~ It looks as though China is taking president Donald Trump’s advice by taking a tougher stance on North Korea... China ordered North Korean cargo ships carrying coal to return home, reported Reuters Monday evening. “China suspended all imports of coal from North Korea on Feb. 26 to abide with a United Nations Security Council resolution meant to punish the country and its authoritarian leader, Kim Jong Un, for testing nuclear weapons and launching ballistic missiles. The resolution, passed in December, prohibits member states from importing more than $400 million of North Korean coal in 2017, an amount set so as to not have “adverse humanitarian consequences for the country’s civilian population,” writes The Huffington Post...  http://punchingbagpost.com/china-sanctions-north-korean-coal-coming-around-to-trump-point-of-view

{rickwells.us} ~ The situation in which rampant abuse of the Social Security numbers of American citizens by illegal aliens still exists and has not yet been addressed in one particular, important aspect by Attorney General Sessions... Hopefully it’s near the top of his “to do” list, and he’s getting close as it would be an easy way to make a major difference in the American economy and access of everyday Americans to the jobs that should rightfully go to them. The key to correcting the injustice is in sanctions against American employers employing illegal aliens. As I outline in the video, an Inspector General for the Social Security administration recently did a test of two different groups of 100 employers, discovering significant violators, one that maintained an average of forty thousand illegal alien employees at all times, another that averaged 98 percent illegal aliens. Penalties for employers convicted of these types of abuses can be quite hefty, with fines ranging as high as $21,563 per offense.  But that’s just the beginning...  http://rickwells.us/sessions-good-start-enforce-laws-employers-fines-jail-jobs-americans/

Carter addresses that revelation, saying, “I have nothing that I want to hide and the more that the truth comes out, the better.” Catherine Herridge interviews Page noting, “To get a surveillance warrant, the FBI has to have solid evidence. by Salena Zito
{jewishworldreview.com} ~The Democratic Party's alienation of and from working-class voters might be new. But the existence of those voters and the tension between city dwellers and the heartland isn't. The election, therefore, wasn't a realignment; it was a reassertion.

Rural voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa and other states have been there all along. They made themselves heard by electing Donald Trump and revealing to too many cloistered elites how much they resented being ruled from afar and ignored at the same time.

And the political class still doesn't get it, insisting on seeing President-elect Trump as a product of a historic, disturbing new tendency in American politics — regionalized factionalism — that pits backwoods rednecks against the worldly, integrated, sophisticated, educated seers of the cities.

Have they never read a history book?

News flash: The United States of America is made up of states. We've been fragmented by regionalism since before the Eastern Seaboard became the United States, and even as it was transformed into a squabbling collection of colonies unified in opposing British rule.

Remember how Massachusetts was vehemently opposed to giving a Virginia planter named George Washington command of the Continental Army? The state's residents believed that because they had fielded more troops, given more money and suffered the most physical, economic and emotional harm for the glorious cause of revolution, they should be in charge.

After the British surrendered at Yorktown, regionalism again split the colonies. New England felt little in common with the Carolinas and the frontier villages. The debate over the Constitution exposed those same rifts — and endangered the postwar project in the process.

The House of Representatives was carefully calibrated to prevent highly populated cities from controlling rural regions. And our since-abandoned selection of senators by elected state officials was shamelessly orchestrated to prevent uneducated rabble from having too much influence.

The Electoral College was a compromise to protect regional differences and various prejudices, especially the fear among small states that more populous states would control the selection of a president.

As we've grown, regionalism — both between states and within them — has always remained a divisive force.

Out here in western Pennsylvania, the Whiskey Rebellion was a frantic, poorly organized challenge meant to force the coastal elite to pay attention to the needs of frontier families who were settling the region.

Elites were unhappy because of all of the land awarded to the Revolutionary War veterans and the taxes they expected to have to pay to provide the frontier families with roads, schools and forts.

While Andrew Jackson himself was not quite the populist that history makes him out to be, his rise to become the "people's president" was very much a frontier revolt against coastal domination.

The Civil War was, of course, about slavery. But that, too, had clear regional fault lines.

By the late 1800s, such factionalism took the form of groups like the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry. Formed in 1867, it defiantly struggled to preserve rural life against the evils of urbanization, and it still pursues that mission today.

Immigration policy has always divided the country, often just as dependent on the economic needs or social difficulties faced by a particular region at a particular moment than on racial or ethnic considerations.

Small-town and rural America couldn't have cared less when heroin or opioids ravaged big cities for decades. Yet now that those drugs are destroying lives in the small towns of Ohio, West Virginia, Vermont or New Hampshire, they demand it be treated a full-blown national crisis.

The list goes on and on.

In a country as large and diverse as the United States, it should hardly surprise us that such factionalism exists. What's surprising is that elites are surprised — so much so that they portray it as rank racism or bigotry or stupidity and don't try to understand it.

Rural Americans don't want regional differences to be so divisive. By and large, they see such diversity as a strength. They want the states united. City-dwelling elites' response to Trump's victory will tell us whether they do, too.

{aei.org} ~ The Democratic Party experiencing political Ragnarök last November does not seem to have slowed the expansion of “free college” initiatives in the states. In New York... a tuition-free public college plan passed the state legislature this weekend and is headed for the desk of Governor Andrew Cuomo. Last month, Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson signed into law a more limited free-tuition program that only applies to certain programs at community colleges. Both programs stipulate that student beneficiaries must work in the state for a period of years after graduation: a departure from previous proposals that only exacerbates the problems with free college. Free college as an idea already has several flaws. First, it is regressive: lower-income students already receive substantial amounts of financial aid, so most of the benefits of eliminating whatever tuition remains flow disproportionately to the middle class and rich. Second, it props up poor-quality public schools. In particular, free community college may encourage more students to attend schools where they have only a one-in-three chance of earning a degree. Third, free college skews students’ decision-making by encouraging them to attend in-state public colleges instead of private or out-of-state schools, or following alternative education and career pathways. Finally, free college is expensive, and states could surely find better uses for their finite supplies of taxpayer dollars...  http://www.aei.org/publication/free-college-plans-somehow-get-even-worse/?

{foxnews.com} ~ The cartel member suspected of shooting and killing Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in 2010 with a gun supplied by the U.S. government was arrested in Mexico Wednesday... senior law enforcement, Border Patrol, and congressional sources told Fox News. The suspect, Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes, was apprehended by a joint U.S.-Mexico law enforcement task force that included the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Marshals and the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC). A $250,000 reward had been sought for information leading to the arrest of Osorio-Arellanes, who was captured at a ranch on the border of the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Chihuahua. U.S. authorities have said they will seek his extradition...

{townhall.com} ~
Springtime may be in bloom, but snowflakes never go out of season at America's most prestigious colleges and universities.

Quivering students at the University of Notre Dame launched a protest last week against the school's decision to invite Vice President Mike Pence as commencement speaker. Activist Imanne Mondane told the campus newspaper that she and her peers felt "unsafe" and threatened by "someone who openly is offensive but also demeaning of their humanity and of their life and of their identity."

In other words: The mere presence of a public official whose policy positions veer from acceptable left-wing norms is a public safety hazard.

At Wichita State University, the student government voted to refuse official recognition of the libertarian Young Americans for Liberty group because it supports -- gasp! -- the First Amendment. Since other chapters of the group across the country have invited controversial conservative speakers to their campuses, the Kansas safe-spacers argued, it would be "dangerous" to allow them to operate in Kansas.

And at Duquesne University, students have now declared that welcoming a Chick-fil-A on campus would put their "safe place" at "risk" because the founders of the fast-food company defended traditional marriage.

What the cluck? These millennial chicken littles have grown softer than the insides of waffle fries.

While they hype the existential dangers of exposure to discomfiting ideological dissent, the bubble-wrapped brigade ignores the real menaces in the academy.

Take vengeful Fresno State professor Lars Maischak. He's been on the loose on social media, tweeting earlier this year that "Trump must hang." Just to be clear, he added: "The sooner and the higher, the better." In retaliation the administration's crackdown on illegal immigration, Maischak proclaimed, "two Republicans" should be "executed" for "each deported immigrant."

Using the hashtag "#TheResistance," Maischak tweeted: "Has anyone started soliciting money and design drafts for a monument honoring the Trump assassin, yet?"

The unhinged academic also tweeted a photo of a bullet with the caption: "Finally discovered! A cure for racism. Take one, administered straight to the cranium."

I can't say "lock and load" or do the "Charlie's Angels" finger gun pose without being accused of inciting violence. But this assassination-obsessed loon can tweet his twisted heart out on Twitter with impunity. Where's that Twitter Safety Council when you need it? Of course, Maischak denies harboring any hatred and claims he's the innocent target of a "digital lynch-mob."

Meanwhile, real mobs set fire to U.C. Berkeley to protest speaker Milo Yiannopoulos, injured a professor at Middlebury College while hounding conservative speaker Charles Murray off campus, and assaulted conservative speaker and Vice Media co-founder Gavin McInnes at New York University.

As Manhattan Institute scholar and "The War on Cops" author Heather MacDonald recounted in City Journal, she became "the target of such silencing tactics two days in a row last week" at Claremont McKenna College and UCLA. Baying protesters chanted, "We are here to shut down the f---ing fascist" and "From Oakland to Greece, f--- the police." She was forced to livestream her talk from an empty room while agitators pounded on the windows outside. Then she was whisked away in an unmarked Claremont Police Department van.

Who's unsafe on campus? The social justice mobsters play victim but wield bloodied brass knuckles in the ivory tower against any and all who threaten their orthodoxy and power.

 Alabama Gov. Resigns Over Scandal
GebLqQLH7YDwbeAYRqN3bNqrSYRA9I4pRqp2N4v4fHivmVTPEHGdH__x0n-pwbuvESXxXnSg6eiUK9C_paaPAs5TMS8XdAewxHessyjcRGhB77JcUHyXWHVXGO3EWw=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=
Becoming a politician is a "dirty job" that even Mike Rowe would avoid. The now former governor of Alabama proves once again that the average American's expressed disgust for politicians is often justly deserved.
On Monday, Alabama Republican Governor Robert Bentley resigned from office. A little over a year ago, accusations came to light of an attempted cover-up of an alleged affair between Bentley and one of his top aides. As the scandal further unfolded, revelations of potential campaign finance violations as well as misuse of state police and intimidation tactics convinced the Republican-controlled state legislature to pursue impeachment proceedings. Now, Lt. Governor Kay Ivey will become only the second woman in Alabama history to serve as governor as she replaces Bentley.
Sex scandals are nothing new when it comes to politics. But whether it brings down those involved often depends on the politician's party affiliation. Years ago another governor from a southern state was able to survive as he hushed up numerous allegations on his way to winning the White House. Bill liar-Clinton, who committed perjury during his attempt to cover-up his affair with Monica Lewinsky, was impeached and yet retained his presidency, infamously setting a precedent. Democrats, having no moral compass, thus rallied around an arrogant serial adulterer for partisan purposes. Alabama Republicans weren't going to repeat that abuse of power.
While the Bentley scandal may bear some similarities to liar-Clinton's many scandals, it truly pales in comparison, both in the level of corruption and in the consequences. Put simply, Bentley leaves office in disgrace still facing legal issues, while liar-Clinton not only survived but thrived afterwards, becoming a hero of the Left and a multimillionaire on the speaking circuit. Because liar-Bill got away with it, others may assume they can too. Sometimes they can. Arguably thanks to liar-Bill, Donald Trump was able to survive his own sordid personal history, including sexually lewd comments revealed as an October surprise.
On a final note, it's worth remembering the words of the Gipper. Ronald Reagan famously opined, "It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first."  ~The Patriot Post

{rickwells.us} ~ With all due respect to the military career and achievements of General James Mattis, General Colin Powell had a distinguished military career as well and he was either wrong or deliberately misled the world in 2003 in the United Nations... Former Secretary of State Powell told the Security Council and the world that Iraq had WMDs and was moving them around the desert to keep them hidden. As it turns out, America went to war,  took Iraq, had access to the entire country and verified there were no WMD’s. We had attacked on a false pretext. Forgive us for being a little skeptical, particularly when there is a refusal on the part of the planning generals to allow independent third party verification by the UN of their claims it was Assad and not the butchers of ISIS who gassed the innocent Syrians. We had to attack immediately and it required the destruction of the planes that supposedly carried the agent so that no forensic examination would be possible. We were in a hurry then and we seem to be in an awful hurry still. What’s wrong with a little investigation to make sure we’re not being led astray by somebody with a hidden agenda?...  http://rickwells.us/secretary-mattis-defends-syria-attack-lays-trust-groundwork-repeat-war/

{lidblog.com} ~ Last year our US Attorney General was threatening to file criminal racketeering charges against private citizens for mockery of state science... Last week the new administration announced the repeal of the ENERGY STAR mandate, essentially shutting down the EPA’s Department of Junk Science. Elections have consequences! President Trump has officially begun the deconstruction of the ENERGY STAR program, ending one of the most corrupt federal programs in US history. Repealing the ENERGY STAR mandate represents one of the most significant government reforms in decades, and a huge boost for science, education and commerce. The EPA owns the ENERGY STAR brand, which is allegedly producing multi-billion dollar revenues in Global markets from ‘certified’ energy-efficiency. Just don’t ask to see the evidence, or the government might throw you in jail. And I mean that literally!. Thankfully President Trump just took Draining The Swamp to a whole new level. The repeal of the ENERGY STAR mandate is historic, which is why mainstream media must be in a complete state of panic...  http://lidblog.com/corrupt-epa-energy-star-scam/

{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Officially, France prohibits any form of boycott against Israel. In 2015, the Court of Cassation confirmed a 2013 decision regarding the illegality of boycotts and the call for boycotts in France... Under the law, in 2013, BDS France was fined €28,000 (USD $30,000) by a local French court, after a call made in 2010 by 14 activists to boycott Israeli products in a supermarket. In addition, each of the 14 activists was fined €1,000. However, according to a report recently released by NGO Monitor, the French government continues to fund NGOs openly hostile to Israel and to fund NGOs that support and promote boycott campaigns against Israel. The French government is also supporting NGOs (French and non-French) campaigning to stop relations between French and Israeli banks that have branches in the settlements. In practice, this would result in divestment from all major Israeli banks. The main protagonists of this campaign are Al-Haq, FIDH, CCFD-Terre Solidaire, and Association France Palestine Solidarité (AFPS)...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10082/france-israel-delegitimization

Israel and liar-nObama's Political War
by Caroline Glick

{truthrevolt.org} ~ Eli Lake from Bloomberg set off a firestorm in the US this week with his revelation on Monday that in the last six months of the liar-nObama administration, Susan Rice, former president Barack liar-nObama’s national security adviser, requested that the US intelligence community enable her to use foreign intelligence collection as a means of gathering information about Donald Trump’s advisers.

According to Lake’s story, during the course of the US presidential campaign, and with steadily rising intensity after President Donald Trump won the November 2016 election, Rice used her access to intercepted communications of foreign intelligence targets to gather information on Trump’s advisers. Some of those reports were then leaked, injuriously, to the media in violation of US criminal statute.

Whereas in the normal course of events, the identities of American citizens whose conversations with foreigners are intercepted by the US intelligence community are shielded, in the final months of the liar-nObama administration, Rice repeatedly – on “dozens of occasions” – asked that the identities of Americans who conversed with foreigners be exposed.

The Americans in question were Trump’s advisers.

Lake’s scoop both confirmed and expanded House Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes’s charges from two weeks ago against the liar-nObama White House. Nunes said that he had seen evidence that the liar-nObama administration collected information on incoming Trump administration officials that had no intelligence value. In other words, Nunes alleged that the data gathering was not for national security purposes.

This week’s discovery that Rice played a central role in the intelligence collection regarding Trump’s advisers brings Nunes’s allegations that the outgoing liar-nObama administration conducted surveillance of the Trump team to the highest reaches of the administration. Now that Rice has been exposed, it is impossible to claim that in the event such surveillance occurred, it did not reflect the liar-nObama administration’s concerted policy.

With the exceptions of liar-nObama and his top adviser and confidante Valerie Jarrett, Rice was the top official in the White House.

Lake’s story and subsequent stories have obvious implications for the public’s assessment of Trump’s March 4 allegation on Twitter that liar-nObama spied on him. But the Rice story is equally, if not more, important for what it teaches us about liar-nObama’s mode of governing.

The Rice story strengthens the assessment that for eight years, liar-nObama and his associates weaponized the federal government to wage a political war against their domestic political opponents in a manner that is simply unprecedented.

On Wednesday, Lee Smith noted in Tablet online magazine that the liar-nObama administration’s apparent exploitation of intelligence reports to harm the Trump team was not the first time that the liar-nObama administration acted in this manner.

As Smith recalled, in December 2015 The Wall Street Journal reported that during the domestic political battle surrounding the nuclear deal the liar-nObama administration struck with the Iranian regime, the administration used intelligence intercepts of conversations of Israeli officials to spy on its domestic opponents inside the pro-Israel community and on Capitol Hill.

In the latest iteration of the liar-nObama White House’s abuse of intelligence data, administration officials collected and leaked information about members of the incoming Trump administration to undermine its ability to chart a new course in foreign affairs.

The liar-nObama administration’s campaign against the incoming Trump administration was wildly successful.

Due to their efforts, Trump’s national security adviser Lt.-Gen. (ret.) Mike Flynn was forced to resign in a cloud of controversy just three weeks after Trump took office.

Revelations by Lake and others exposed that Flynn was targeted in the liar-nObama White House’s abuse of intelligence. The administration used its intelligence intercepts and unmasking of Flynn to cultivate the sense – with no evidence – that Flynn was a Russian plant.

On January 12, Washington Post columnist David Ignatius published that Flynn had spoken numerous times to Russia’s US Ambassador Sergei Kislyak after liar-nObama levied sanctions on Russia on December 26.

Ignatius reported that in their conversations the subject of those sanctions arose, but that Flynn made no policy determination regarding how the Trump administration would view the sanctions upon entering office.

In other words, Flynn did nothing wrong. He did his job.

But immediately after the story was published, Flynn was tarred and feathered as a Russian agent. He entered office with Trump on January 20, but was declared “controversial,” “embattled” and “compromised” from his first day in office.

The innuendos followed Flynn like a cloud until he was forced to resign, less than three weeks after entering the White House.

Regardless of whether or not Flynn did anything wrong – and no evidence has been proffered to suggest that he did anything wrong – his loss was a severe blow to the Trump administration. In one fell swoop, the liar-nObama administration’s weaponization of foreign intelligence intercepts had brought down the national security adviser.

This brings us to 2015, and the fight in Washington and throughout the US about liar-nObama’s nuclear deal with Tehran. In the 2015 operation, the White House allegedly used intercepted communications between US citizens and Israeli diplomats and between Israeli diplomats in Washington and Jerusalem to defame opponents of the nuclear deal. Lawmakers and private citizens were repeatedly subjected to condemnations in the media where unnamed administration sources questioned their loyalty, alleged that they were serving the interests of a foreign power against the US, and that in the case of lawmakers, they were bought and paid for by rich Jewish donors.

Speaking to Smith, a pro-Israel activist who had participated in the battle against the nuclear deal explained how the White House operation worked.

“At some point, the administration weaponized the NSA’s [National Security Agency’s] legitimate monitoring of communications of foreign officials to stay one step ahead of domestic political opponents....

“We began to notice that the White House was responding immediately, sometimes within 24 hours, to specific conversations we were having. At first, we thought it was a coincidence being amplified by our paranoia. After a while, it simply became our working assumption that we were being spied on.”

Weaponizing intelligence reports was only one way that the liar-nObama administration abused its power to weaken, silence and criminalize its domestic opponents.

Weaponizing the IRS was another way.

And just as liar-nObama’s IRS was used to hound conservative groups that opposed liar-nObama’s domestic agenda, so it was used to discriminate against pro-Israel groups that opposed liar-nObama’s Middle East policies.

The most well-known case of such abuse was the IRS’s failure to approve the request for nonprofit status submitted by Z Street, a pro-Israel educational organization.

After being told by the IRS that its application for nonprofit status was being subjected to “special scrutiny” due to its Israel-centric agenda, and the fact that it advocated views that “contradict those of the administration,” Z Street sued the IRS for viewpoint discrimination.

The IRS attempted to get the case dismissed, but a panel of three irate federal judges rejected its request.

After slow rolling its response to the lawsuit, ahead of liar-nObama’s departure from office, the IRS suddenly approved Z Street’s request for nonprofit status, seven years after it was first requested.

At the same time, the IRS continued to refuse to provide Z Street with the documents that informed its decision to discriminate against it. And it refused to explain how its decision to discriminate against US citizens in its tax policies on the basis of their political opposition to the administration’s policies was legal.

There are several aspects of the story of liar-nObama’s abuse of power, and the fact that Israel and its US allies were key targets of that abuse, that are important beyond the domestic discourse in the US.

First, the liar-nObama administration’s abuse of foreign intelligence to wage political warfare against pro-Israel activists and lawmakers who support Israel during the Iran battle tells us that the liar-nObama administration viewed supporters of a strong US-Israel alliance as its political enemies. This is remarkable.

Moreover, the fact that Z Street and other US nonprofit groups that espouse positions on Israel at odds to the liar-nObama administration’s views were specifically targeted for discrimination by the IRS indicates that the liar-nObama administration’s political war against US support for Israel was all-encompassing. It wasn’t limited to the realm of foreign policy. It related as well to the ability to Americans to educate their fellow citizens on the need for a robust partnership with a strong Israel.

The second thing that we learn from our deepening understanding of the liar-nObama administration’s apparent weaponization of the federal bureaucracy as a means to defeat and undermine its political opponents is that apparently, liar-nObama’s top aides deliberately acted to undermine Trump’s ability to govern. This is particularly apparent in everything related to foreign policy.

As Adam Kredo from The Washington Free Beacon has documented, in its last months, the liar-nObama administration ensured that the National Security Council’s budget would be depleted, in order to deny the Trump administration the ability to hire new staffers. It hired political appointees into the civil service and then burrowed them in the National Security Council and other key government departments, to undermine and discredit the Trump administration from within.

For instance, in its waning days, the State Department extended Yael Lempert’s tenure at the National Security Council for two years. Lempert is a foreign service officer notorious for her rabid opposition to Israel.

In another example, last July, liar-nObama moved Sahar Nowrouzzadeh from his National Security Council, where Nowrouzzadeh served as Iran director, to the State Department, where he is now in charge of policy planning on Iran and the Persian Gulf.

As professional foreign service officers, both Lempert and Nowrouzzadeh are essentially impossible to fire or move.

In an interview with PBS following Nunes’s revelations, Susan Rice falsely denied that the liar-nObama White House had “unmasked” incoming Trump administration personnel whose conversations with foreigners were intercepted by the intelligence community.

After denying the charges, Rice was asked her view of Trump’s foreign policy so far. Rice responded derisively.

She noted that despite Trump’s criticism of the liar-nObama administration’s lackadaisical and stalled campaign against Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, the policy the Trump administration is enacting against ISIS on the ground is essentially the same policy that the liar-nObama administration implemented, “as it should be,” she added, with a smirk.

In reality, if indeed Trump is implementing liar-nObama’s ISIS policy, his failure to enact a new policy there, and indeed, the perceived chaos and disarray of his foreign policy across the board, is not a function of Trump’s incompetence or of the inexperience of his advisers. To the extent that Trump has failed to date to enact a clear foreign policy, this week’s disclosures strengthen the sense that his failure owes primarily to the deliberate subversion of his administration by his predecessor.

DEAD BODY of first female Muslim judge on NY Court of Appeals found washed up on the side of the Hudson River

( Muslim do not assimilate, they infiltrate )

Sheila Abdus-Salaam, 65, was discovered floating in the water near 132nd Street and Hudson Parkway at around 1:45 p.m., according to police sources. Witnesses had spotted her fully clothed body and called 911, police said.

NY Post  Sources told The Post that Abdus-Salaam, who is an associate judge of the Court of Appeals, had been reported missing from her home in Harlem earlier in the day. Her husband later identified her body. Sources said it showed no obvious signs of trauma or injuries indicating criminality or foul play, and that her death appeared to be a possible suicide.

In addition to being the country’s first Muslim female judge, Abdus-Salaam was the first ever African-American woman to be appointed to the state’s Court of Appeals.

After receiving her degree from Columbia Law School, she began her legal career working as a staff attorney at East Brooklyn Legal Services. Abdus-Salaam rose through the state ranks before eventually being elected to the New York Supreme Court in 1993.

She was then appointed to the Court of Appeals by Cuomo in 2013. Former US Attorney General Eric Holder, who went to Columbia with Abdus-Salaam, was in attendance for her historic swearing-in ceremony and described how she had “defined herself by her relentless pursuit of excellence.”

U.S. Military and Intelligence intercepted communications between Syrian military and chemical experts prior to the attack

Chemical attacks in Syria since 2012

Evidence from intercepted communications by the US military and Intelligence community is being released which shows that the Syrian military and chemical experts were talking about preparations for the sarin attack that took place in Idlib last week, killing and injuring more than 100 people.

CNN  The intercepts were part of an immediate review of all intelligence in the hours after the attack to confirm responsibility for the use of chemical weapons in an attack in northwestern Syria, which killed at least 70 people. US officials have said that there is “no doubt” that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is responsible for the attack.
The US did not know prior to the attack it was going to happen, the official emphasized. The US scoops up such a large volume of communications intercepts in areas like Syria and Iraq, the material often is not processed unless there is a particular event that requires analysts to go back and look for supporting intelligence material.

NORTH CAROLINA: More useful idiots for Islam demonstrating their ignorance at a Charlotte church

( Muslim do not assimilate, they infiltrate )

The Grove Presbyterian Church is in a state of denial, apparently oblivious to the ongoing genocide of Christians being carried out by Muslims around the world – as many as 100,000 per year. Christians are being tortured, slaughtered and/or driven out if they refuse to convert to Islam or become ‘dhimmi’ slaves of Islam.

Charlotte Observer  Kate Murphy was driving to work in East Charlotte not long ago when she saw a car that looked like it had some words painted on it. She pulled up for a closer look and saw that yes, they were words. But they were more than words. They were anti-Muslim slurs.

This was back in February, shortly after the Donald Trump administration had issued its first executive order banning people from seven Muslim countries from entering the United States. That order, you remember, was struck down in court and scorned by many. But plenty of people also thought it was exactly what the country should do.

“There was so much being said that troubled me,” said Murphy, who is pastor of The Grove Presbyterian Church. So one weekday morning, after talking with church members, she decided to put up a sign in the church’s front yard.

“We love our Muslim neighbors,” it said simply, in big and colorful letters that faced W.T. Harris Blvd.

It was, Murphy says, an affirmation that she’d done the right thing. “As churches, we really do have the power to do something to change the conversation,” she says.

Delaware senator calls Koran reading on Senate floor “despicable”

( Muslim do not assimilate, they infiltrate )

True dat.

Source: Delaware senator’s anti-Muslim comments draw rebuke

Comments that state Sen. Dave Lawson, R-Marydel, made about Islam on the floor of the chamber Wednesday led to a rare rebuke from the chamber’s chief member and sparked a brief but fierce discussion about religious freedom.

“We just heard from the Quran, which calls for our very demise,” Lawson said after a Muslim duo gave the invocation, including a passage from their holy text. “I fought for this country, not to be damned by someone that comes in here and prays to their God for our demise. I think that’s despicable.”

Lawson served in the Air Force and did a tour in Vietnam. He addressed his colleagues on the floor of the Senate.

Tarek Ewis, imam of the Masjid Isa Ibn-e-Maryam mosque in Newark, and Naveed Baqir, executive director of the Delaware Council on Global and Muslim Affairs, were invited to give the Senate invocation.

Lawson and Sen. Colin Bonini, R-Dover South, stepped out of the chamber for the prayer. They re-entered when the speakers had finished, and Lawson gave a brief speech, saying he “took great exception” to the reading from the Quran.

After Lawson’s comments, the Senate proceeded as normal, debating and passing several bills. But before the chamber adjourned later in the evening, President Pro Tempore David McBride, D-New Castle, halted, saying he felt “there is complicity in remaining silent.”

“I have never been of the mind to censure the words of other members, but I also believe deeply that words have consequences,” McBride said, reading aloud from a statement. “To criticize the sacred prayer of another religion from the floor of the Senate strikes me as antithetical to everything we ought to stand for as lawmakers.”

Baqir called Lawson’s comments “textbook Islamaphobia.”

Baqir said he hoped to have a sit down with Lawson to explain more about the Muslim faith.

Sen. Bonini said afterward that he does not think Lawson is Islamaphobic.

“Anybody who knows Dave knows that there is not an ounce of hate in him,” he said. “There is not an an ounce of hate in me either.”

Still, Bonini said, “Religious freedom is not a one-way street; it is a busy intersection.”

“You have a right to pray, as do I,” Bonini said after McBride’s response. “And I have a right to be offended by what you believe, just as you have a right to be offended by what I believe.”

Bonini said neither his nor Lawson’s walkout nor their comments were intended to “be specifically disrespectful to the people who are here.”

McBride went on to say that Muslims serve in the military and as police and are doctors, professors and teachers.

Afterward, Lawson said he thought McBride was “ignorant to what’s going on.”

He said the Quran includes passages about killing “infidels” and pointed to some majority-Muslim countries that restrict women’s rights and persecute Christians, among other evils.

“Their belief flies in the face of our Constitution,” Lawson said afterward. “This is not our Bible, we should not be allowing them to pray from that book in our house, just as I do not believe I would be allowed to pray from my Bible in their house.”

There is complicity in remaining silent. Unfortunately, as normal, Democrats like David McBride are on the wrong side of history.

He welcomes with open arms the reading of the Koran which precipitates slave markets in Libya, gay concentration camps in Chechnya and throws them off rooftops in Syria, endless terror attacks on civilians in European states, Muslim refugees who rape American girls, and church bombings in Egypt.

McBride is complicit. Baqir is a textbook stealth jihadist.

PA TV: “Promised Land” = Land where Jews will be exterminated by divine decree

“By divine decree.” Do the leaders of the West really think that “Palestinians” will accept peaceful coexistence with Israel in any form? As far as many, if not most, of them are concerned, their jihad against the Jews has been ordained by Allah. It cannot be negotiated away.

“‘Promised Land’ = Land where Jews will be exterminated,” by Itamar Marcus, Palestinian Media Watch, April 12, 2017:

When Fatah-run Awdah TV asked Palestinians about their views regarding US President Donald Trump’s “rise to power”, one woman explained that “Jews” mistakenly understand the term “the Promised Land” as “a promise to them,” however, the real promise is that Allah will “gather” and “exterminate” them:

Fatah-run Awdah TV host: “Dear viewers, our question today is: Are you optimistic about the rise to power of American President Trump?”
Palestinian woman: “We always put our hopes in Allah. This is the promised land. The Jews think it is promised to them, but what was promised was to gather them in order to exterminate them by a divine decree.”
