 Sentinel at the Tomb — The Story Behind the Image 
Several years ago, during another snowstorm that shutdown Washington, DC, The Patriot Post published an image of a Sentinel keeping watch at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the midst of heavy snowfall. We distributed it in several versions, which were shared virally across social media platforms.
          At the time, we knew the photo was about 30 years old given that Sentinels now wear a winter cap instead of the barracks cover seen in the photo. We determined this Sentinel was SGT Charles Lee "Chuck" Gauldin, Tomb Badge #248, 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). However, we were not able to locate him or his family.
          Within days of posting this image, though, we received the following message:

"Thank you so much for posting the picture of the Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You see that man — my late husband — meant the world to me then as he does now. That picture was taken when I was pregnant with the first of our two children. Charles died unexpectedly in 1997. His family and I are touched and honored by the picture and thank you and The Patriot Post staff for posting it. What a sweet, sweet memory for us."

 Sanders Beats Trump? 
There is a possibility that despite the most conservative and qualified GOP field in recent history, the Republican nominee may be former Democrat Donald Trump. And it's also possible he'll face not the inevitable Hilly Clinton but rather admitted socialist Bernie Sanders. If so, voters will stand at the ballot box come November and ask themselves: What kind of big government do we want? Clinton may face prosecution for her illegal mishandling of classified information, which leaves the avowed socialist holding his party's nomination by default. Trump and the followers of his personality cult think this is great news. Nothing, Trump says, can shake his high-flying standing in the polls. "The polls, they say I have the most loyal people," Trump boasted at an Iowa campaign rally Saturday. "Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters, okay? It's, like, incredible." Additionally, a Gallup poll from last year found that 50% of the nation wouldn't vote for a socialist.
          But Sanders too is feeling confident. "There would be nothing more in this world that I would like to take on Donald Trump," Sanders recently said. "We would beat him and we would beat him badly."
          He might be right. A recent survey conducted by The Wall Street Journal and NBC say that it would be Sanders who would win in a Sanders/Trump general election — by a 15-point margin. The pollsters asked respondents from Jan. 9 to 13, "If the election for president were held today, and Donald Trump were the Republican candidate and Bernie Sanders were the Democratic candidate, for whom would you vote?" Sanders got 54% of the support and Trump received 39%.
          There are a lot of 'if' and 'buts' associated with that poll question. We haven't even had the first presidential debate between Republican and Democrat — and that will be a game changer. Furthermore, polls this early in the game (heck, even exit polls on Election Day) are unreliable, especially polls about hypothetical situations. Often, they amount to "pollaganda," or the use of polls to influence public opinion instead of describing it. And you wonder why the media is doing everything it can to keep Trump front and center.   -Patriot Post

On the Roe v Wade anniversary Friday, Barack Obama declared he would defend abortion laws against "efforts to undermine or overturned them." He also said, "In America, every single one of us deserves the rights, freedoms and opportunities to fulfill our dreams."
          Apparently not "every single one of us."
          Slaves and indentured servants lacked Civil Rights in America in the 19th century because their standing was considered less than human. In "Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation," Ronald Reagan wrote, "Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should be slaves. Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion."
          Jews lacked Civil Rights in Russia and Germany between 1917 and 1945 because their standing was considered less than human. Indeed, history is replete with the slaughter of innocents who were considered less than human. The killing of 58 million unborn children since Roe is now one of the ugliest chapters in that history.
          Meanwhile, the Leftmedia generally ignored the fact that tens of thousands of people gathered in Washington, DC, Friday — undaunted in the face of the oncoming blizzard — to March for Life. The Washington Post called it "a small, faithful crowd." It's true the crowd was smaller than in previous years, though with the weather shutting down many transportation methods that's to be expected. She kept all of her documents and her email on a private server and used only her private email for every last bit of correspondence throughout her entire reign of terror at the Department of State.

She tried to have her server wiped clean.

She had her minions stall…for years…with regard to turning over ANY of her emails.

She had other minions HIDE her private server…in a BATHROOM…for years.

She hand-picked those who would finally go through her emails and they, and ONLY they, would decide what emails would eventually be turned over to investigators and to the Department of State.

She lied…repeatedly…regarding the nature and sensitivity of what was contained on her private, hidden server.

{insideronline.org} ~ In the process of granting review of the decision, by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, invalidating the nObama administration’s immigration guidance granting de facto albeit revocable legal status to hundreds of thousands of undocumented residents of the United States... the Supreme Court unleashed a bombshell. Without any explicit request from the parties, the court added the following question for review: “Whether the Guidance violates the Take Care Clause of the Constitution, Art. II, §3.” This is a stunning development. The clause states that “The President shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” This is the first time, to my knowledge, that the Supreme Court, maybe any court, has suggested that the Take Care Clause is justiciable i.e., that the president’s inactions are subject to judicial review under the clause. I’m not sure that any Supreme Court litigant has ever even seriously pursued an argument under the clause. While opponents of judicial activism might be horrified by this turn of events, we should consider why the court seems to have volunteered to involve itself in what has traditionally been seen as a “political question” not subject to judicial intervention. Caveat: No one — not even Supreme Court experts — seems to know how many votes it takes to add an issue to cert. grant, or, assuming it takes four or five, whether the justices typically defer to their colleagues if one or more of them feel strongly about adding an issue. So we don’t know how many justices really wanted to decide the Take Care Clause issue.

-Because the IAEA declared that Iran met the requirements to roll back its nuclear program to what the nuclear deal calls “Implementation Day,” it will receive approximately $150 billion in sanctions relief even through Iran is still designated by the United States as a state sponsor of terror and was listed in a June 2015 State Department report as the world’s leading terrorist state.
-Over the last six months, Iran increased its support to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Hezbollah, its terrorist proxy.
-Iran is threatening Saudi Arabia by backing a Shiite insurgency in Yemen.  Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states broke off diplomatic relations with Iran this month after the Saudi embassy and a consulate in Iran were ransacked.
-Iran tested ballistic missiles in October and November even though President nObama and Secretary hanoi-Kerry said last July that under the deal Tehran would abide by U.N. Security Council resolutions for eight years calling on it to halt its missile program.  (The Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Iran for the missile tests yesterday but Foundation for Defense and Democracy Executive Director Mark Dubowitz called them “symbolic and ineffective.”)
-Iran fired rockets last month near a U.S. aircraft carrier.  It also detained and humiliated 10 U.S. Navy sailors last week.
-At the same time, few Americans understand that Iran keeps its nuclear infrastructure under the nuclear deal and will be allowed to expand it.
-Iran will continue enriching uranium under the nuclear deal with 5,000 uranium centrifuges and will be developing more advanced centrifuges while the deal is in effect. This will occur even though when Barack nObama became president, his administration supported the Bush administration’s effort to stop the spread of uranium enrichment technology and strengthened a nuclear technology sharing agreement with the UAE which required it to not to pursue this technology.
-Although Iran agreed to remove the core of a plutonium-producing heavy water-reactor, it will be rebuilt and redesigned with Chinese assistance.  While the redesigned reactor will produce less plutonium, it also will help Iran to master this technology.
-Although President nObama and Secretary hanoi-Kerry said Iran sent all of its enriched uranium out of the country, they failed to mention that this was a swap for an equivalent amount of uranium ore that can be converted into enriched uranium in a few months.

President nObama said last July that the issue of Iran’s past nuclear weapons work would be addressed. The IAEA issued a report on this issue in December that said Iran failed to fully cooperate and provided some answers to investigators that were false. The report also said Iran engaged in nuclear weapons research until 2009.  Despite this report, the United States voted with other IAEA members last month to close the IAEA’s file on this issue.

Although nuclear deal has weak verification provisions, the Iranian parliament made them even weaker last October when it ratified an amended version of the deal containing new language on dismantling Israel’s nuclear weapons program, requiring that sanctions under the agreement be cancelled and not suspended, forbidding IAEA inspections of military installations, and barring IAEA interviews of Iranian military officers and scientists.

And then there is the issue of the “swap” of five American hostages for seven Iranian criminals held in U.S. prisons and the removal of 14 other Iranian criminal and terrorists from the INTERPOL wanted list.  As objectionable as this sounds, President nObama and Secretary hanoi-Kerry failed to mention that Oman paid Iran $500,000 ransom each for the release of the Americans and that several were brutally mistreated while incarcerated.  At least two other innocent Americans plus a U.S. green card holder are still being by Iran.

Given these factors, how can the nObama administration claim Iran has complied with the nuclear agreement?

How can it justify providing over $150 billion in sanctions relief that Tehran is likely to spend on terrorism and destabilizing the Middle East?

The answer to these questions is this: because the nObama administration wanted a legacy nuclear agreement with Iran so badly they made any concession necessary to get one.

When Iranian officials refused to give up their uranium enrichment program, the U.S. said they could keep it.

When Iran balked on including restrictions on ballistic missile tests in the agreement, they were removed.

To get around Tehran’s refusal to answer questions about its past nuclear weapons work, this issue was moved into a secret side deal between the IAEA and Iran.

The nObama administration also took Iran’s sponsorship of terror and its meddling in the Middle East off the table. The deal drops U.N. and EU sanctions on Iranian terrorist individuals and entities. Even worse, the U.S. encouraged Iran to play a more active role in Iraq which is driving tensions between the Shiite government and Iraqi Sunnis.

The Iran nuclear agreement is national security fraud. It will not stop or slow Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.

 National Review Bucks the Trump Train 
The magazine whose writers developed the political philosophy embraced by Ronald Reagan, uniting a broad swath of America under a banner of Liberty, has opposed Donald Trump in its most recent edition. The editors of National Review wrote in their editorial, "If [the Republican Party] cannot advance a compelling working-class agenda, the legitimate anxieties and discontents of blue-collar voters will be exploited by demagogues. We sympathize with many of the complaints of Trump supporters about the GOP, but that doesn't make the mogul any less flawed a vessel for them. Some conservatives have made it their business to make excuses for Trump and duly get pats on the head from him. Count us out. Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot in behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as the Donald himself."
          Predictably, Trump took to his Twitter feed to rant about the criticism  Thursday night. "National Review is a failing publication that has lost it's [sic] way," he mocked. "It's [sic] circulation is way down w its influence being at an all time low. Sad!" In his next quip, Trump said, "Very few people read the National Review because it only knows how to criticize, but not how to lead." The lack of self-awareness is astounding.
          Already, the principled stand for the publication comes at a price. The Republican National Committee dropped the magazine from co-sponsoring debates and forums, like the forum scheduled for Feb. 25, because NR expressed a bias against one of the participants. Trump may gloat, but he and his "New York Values" are no Reagan 2.0. Reagan stood for Liberty — something that doesn't seem to be as popular as it used to be.

On Dec. 16, 1773, "radicals" from Boston, members of a secret organization of American Patriots called the Sons of Liberty, boarded three East India Company ships and threw 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor. This iconic event, in protest of oppressive British taxation and tyrannical rule, became known as the Boston Tea Party. So one might say those of us on the Liberty side of the aisle have always been a rowdy bunch.
          Three years after that very first Tea Party, the rebellion had grown to such extent that our Founders were willing to give up their fortunes and lives, attaching their signatures to the Declaration of Independence, which said, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
          The Founders didn't take back their country; they created it and gave it to their posterity, all by overthrowing the establishment.
          Fast forward to today and there has been much debate over the direction the modern Tea Party has taken.  Honoring the Sanctity of Life 
Today marks the 43rd anniversary of the two most tragic Supreme Court decisions in American history, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. Those decisions sparked a contentious debate between those who would deny legal protection for babies in the womb, and those who rightly acknowledge that those babies constitute "life" as understood throughout history and affirmed in our Declaration of Independence. Tragically, that right has been denied to 58 million unborn children sacrificed on the altar of "choice" since 1973.
          The biggest news in the last year on this front was, of course, the  undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood for trafficking in unborn baby parts. While it was long known that Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest abortion provider, it was not common knowledge that the organization was harvesting organs and other tissue for sale. The revelation led to a funding battle on Capitol Hill, as pro-lifers sought to have half a billion dollars a year in taxpayer money pulled from the organization. Planned Parenthood claims this doesn't fund abortion, but let's be honest — they're claiming that dumping water in the deep end of the pool doesn't affect the shallow end.
          Though this issue will never be resolved until the yearly number of abortions is zero, there are encouraging prospects to note as we consider the sanctity of human life. And every life saved is a victory.
          Yet more and more ministries and public figures are pointing out the absurdity of a movement centered on choice that leaves a woman no choice at all. Online for Life is using the power of the Internet to reach out to those who search for pregnancy options. He pointed out that the intel community believes that Clinton’s server – with at least dozens of highly classified data points, was penetrated by foreign intelligence services.

“If this were a member of the uniformed military who had done this, or a CIA operation’s officer, they’d be in jail,” Carlson said.

Mara Liasson, whose first instinct was to defend Clinton, found herself agreeing that this looks exceedingly bad for her. “If it’s true, it’s extremely serious,” she conceded.

When Russian President Vladimir Putin deployed his forces to Syria last year, he claimed that the deployment would be brief. Russian forces were placed in Syria, Putin said, to protect Assad and would leave once he was able to defend himself.

Last week, when the terms of the deployment agreement concluded between Russia and Syria were made public, we discovered that those early claims were false. Under the terms of the deal, Russia can maintain permanent bases in Syria.

Israel’s Air Force is no match for Russia’s. The S-400 anti-aircraft system Russia is deploying to Syria covers half of Israeli territory. Russia’s deployment means that Israel has lost its regional air superiority.

To be sure, Putin’s decision to set up permanent bases in Syria is not directed against Israel. He is interested in defending Russian interests in areas like oil and Syria where Israel is not an actor. This is the reason that Russia and Israel have been able to reach tactical agreements over Syria.
.
Among other things, the sides agreed to deconflict their aircraft flying over Syria.
.
But Israel’s ability to reach tactical understandings with Russia doesn’t mean Israel can trust that Russia’s operations in the area will not harm its national security in significant ways.
.
For instance, the reports that Russia is transferring arms to Hezbollah are deeply worrying. For the past five years, according to reports in foreign media, the Air Force has repeatedly bombed shipments of Iranian weapons destined for Hezbollah forces in Lebanon.
.
Israel is not in a position to contemplate bombing Russian military shipments to Lebanon. It is also not in a position to challenge a Russian decision to allow Hezbollah to use advanced weapons like Yakhont anti-ship missiles against naval ships either from Lebanon or Syria.
.
And there is no reason to believe that Russia won’t do so.
.
Russia has been acting in alliance with Hezbollah, Assad and Iran since the 1980s. Putin’s reported willingness to cooperate with Israel in various areas does not mean that Russia is no longer Iran’s partner in supplying Hezbollah and facilitating its operations.

The government and military have no options for dealing with Russia’s sudden emergence as a major power in our backyard. And there is nothing new in Israel’s helplessness.

We’ve never had an option for reining in Moscow.

But until Barack nObama came into office, Israel never had to worry about Russia.

For 65 years, the US forced Russia to curb its activities in the Middle East.

Until Barack nObama entered the White House, every US president from Franklin Roosevelt on believed it was a US economic and strategic interest of the first order to curb Russian power in the Middle East. The chief reason the US began its strategic alliance with Israel after the 1967 Six Day War was because by defeating Russian clients Egypt and Syria, Israel proved its value to the US’s Cold War strategy.

In the succeeding decades, Israel and the US had a division of labor. It was Israel’s job to defeat or deter Russian – or Soviet – clients in the Arab world. It was the US’s job to deter Russia – or the Soviet Union.

Now, in the final year of the nObama presidency, all that is gone. nObama is content to see Russia exert power and influence that none of his predecessors would have countenanced. And so, for the first time, Israel finds itself standing alone against Russia, with no clear means of protecting its vital national security interests.

nObama’s refusal to take any steps to curb Russia’s deployment and ambitions in the region is not surprising.

It not that he doesn’t understand that Russia’s rise means America’s fall. He undoubtedly has been warned of the implications of Russia’s return to region by the relevant government agencies and the military.

But none of that matters to him. The only thing that nObama cares about is his legacy. nObama cannot take action against Russia without discrediting his entire Middle East policy, and so destroying his own legacy.

nOBAMA’S POLICY in the region is based on the assumption that the US is responsible for instability and war in the Middle East. As a consequence, nObama’s regional policy is one that requires the US to abandon those who benefited from US protection and partnership – first and foremost Israel and Saudi Arabia, and appeasing those who most oppose the US and its allies – first and foremost Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood.

With Iran’s capture of the US naval craft and its illegal detention of 10 US naval personnel last week, Iran demonstrated, once again, that it has not been appeased by nObama’s nuclear and financial concessions.

Iran continues to view the US as its primary enemy and it continues to view itself as at war against America.

It is beyond dispute that Iran committed a war crime in photographing the US military personnel in humiliating ways and forcing one sailor to film an apology to Iran. The language of the Geneva Conventions is cut and dry on the subject.

But rather than take action against Iran, by among other things, delaying the revocation of economic sanctions against Iran, the nObama administration defended Iran’s act of war against the US.

In a press briefing, State Department spokesman John Kirby argued that Iran did not commit a war crime when it detained and photographed the US sailors in humiliating ways because Iran is not at war with the US.

This is an idiotic statement meant to hide an indefensible position. Obviously, if Kirby is right and Iran is not at war with the US, then the act of detaining and photographing the sailors moves from a mere war crime, to an act of international piracy and hostage taking.

In other words, in detaining US sailors and photographing them, Iran either committed a war crime and an act of war, or it committed an even larger crime – and initiated a war with the US.

But nObama cannot acknowledge that this is the case, because if he does, he will be unable to defend his larger policy – which is equally indefensible.

Iran began broadcasting photographs of the sailors kneeing before their Iranian captors and a video apology in which a sailor issued a groveling apology and thanked Iran for its kindness and hospitality the day before Secretary of State John hanoi-Kerry stood before the cameras in Vienna and announced that the US and its partners would remove economic sanctions against Iran as soon as the IAEA announced that Iran was abiding by the nuclear deal.

The IAEA then duly announced that Iran was in compliance and it could receive its $150 billion in frozen funds.

Iran crowed that the American sailors cried and otherwise acted like cowards when they were apprehended just hours before nObama went before the cameras and congratulated himself for his brilliantly smart diplomacy that has prevented war. nObama similarly chastised unnamed critics for criticizing his decision to bow and scrape before Iran as it committed acts of war against America.

nObama was undoubtedly relishing the moment as he declared diplomatic victory over his political opponents, but even if he was unhappy about Iran’s behavior he couldn’t have done anything about it.

nObama brags that he was able to reach a nuclear deal where all his predecessors failed. But this hides the main distinction between him and those who came before him.
.
None of nObama’s predecessors concluded a nuclear deal with Iran because unlike nObama, none of his predecessors were willing to abandon US interests – including the interest of preventing the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism from acquiring nuclear weapons – in order to get a deal. nObama cannot attack Iran’s aggression on the high seas without calling into question the wisdom of his nuclear diplomacy.

He cannot take action against Russia without calling into question his belief that US power in the Middle East is the chief cause of all the region’s problems.

Israel’s military and political leaders are right to be concerned about the implications of Russia’s return to Syria. And it is far from clear that there is a way to credibly minimize the dangers. But, since we’re not going anywhere, we will have to make the best of a bad situation.

Whatever we do, we must reconcile ourselves to the fact that unless the next US president rejects nObama’s entire Middle East policy and shepherds the military and financial resources to abandon it, on Russia, Iran and beyond, Israel will have to fend for itself for the foreseeable future.

Guns Don't Kille People. The Obama Administration Kills People.

“I’m really good at killing people,” Barack Obama once allegedly said. The origin of the quote is the 2013 book “Double Down” by veteran political journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, who cite unnamed Obama aides as their source. The two reporters have journalistic credits even a liberal would respect—The New Yorker, The Economist, and MSNBC, to name a few.

Some people choose not to give the quote credence because its source is anonymous and it wasn’t caught on tape. Skepticism surrounding anonymous quotes is of course understandable though I surmise that most doubters have political motives. People who are still high on Hope and Change™ will surely guffaw at the suggestion that their man would say such a callous thing.

Take it or leave it, I don’t care. It’s a true statement even if he never said it.

Though the Obama aides say that he was speaking of drone warfare when he bragged about his death-dealing, his prowess in the field of killing people is hardly limited to Hellfire missiles. Take, for example, the recent discovery of a Fast & Furious-linked .50 caliber rifle at the criminal hideout of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who was arrested in Mexico on January 8th. The rifle, which was capable of shooting down a helicopter, found its way into the drug lord’s hands through a still opaque program that allowed American guns to cross the border into Mexico with the full knowledge of the Department of Justice. Federal officials have not precluded the possibility that other weapons found at El Chapo’s hideout will be traced back to the ill-conceived Operation Fast & Furious. It’s good to know that our DOJ is playing a role, even if only through willful negligence, in arming the most notorious narco-gangster since Pablo Escobar.

When I first read about El Chapo’s .50 caliber rifle I was immediately reminded of Mr. Obama’s unilateral gun control executive orders and the associated town hall meetings which were designed to leave the false impression that he sought the American people’s input. The hypocrisy of it all was stunning. A man who armed El Chapo shouldn’t have a say in American citizens’ second amendment rights. We’re not the problem. He is. This is a man who stated “I do not believe people should be able to own guns” and praised Australia as the model for gun laws. Australia does not permit private citizens to own guns so I must conclude that Obama supports an outright ban. He is not just tweaking the system a little to make sure that underworld figures don’t get guns. To the contrary, he’s facilitating the transaction. On the other hand, he wants your gun—even if you’re a model citizen.

Unfortunately, some of those guns decided to come back across the border. A Fast & Furious gun was used to murder US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in 2010. Terry was engaged in a firefight with drug traffickers. El Chapo’s men? Perhaps. In 2014, two Muslim men drove from Phoenix to Garland, Texas, to shoot up a “Draw Mohammed” contest. The men were stopped in their tracks by armed Texas lawmen before they could kill anyone, thank goodness. When the dust settled it was determined that one of their weapons was a Fast & Furious gun.

As a consequence of Obama’s and Holder’s gunwalking operation, our government has armed Muslim terrorists, cop killers, and the biggest drug lord in the world. Pretty good at killing people? Don’t be modest, Mr. President. You’re the best.

But Obama’s guns aren’t just found in Mexico or in the border states. They can also be found across the Middle East and North Africa. During the 2011 war that overthrew Libyan dictator Kadafi, the Obama Administration secretly approved arms shipments from Qatar to various militant groups. After green-lighting the shipments, the Administration was shocked—shocked!—to learn that some of the weapons had wound up in the hands of Islamist fighters. From a New York Times article by James Risen et al.: “The United States, which had only small numbers of C.I.A. officers in Libya during the tumult of the rebellion, provided little oversight of the arms shipments. Within weeks of endorsing Qatar’s plan to send weapons there in spring 2011, the White House began receiving reports that they were going to Islamic militant groups. They were ‘more antidemocratic, more hard-line, closer to an extreme version of Islam’ than the main rebel alliance in Libya, said a former Defense Department official.”

These groups must have been even more stridently Islamist than the Muslim Brotherhood which the administration considered to be a moderate player in the Arab Spring. They were surely on par with al-Qaeda which I think the Obama Administration still considers extreme though that might change before the week’s end. Considering the fact that most of the anti-Kadafi groups were some flavor of Islamist, it stretches credulity to think that the Obama Administration was just naïve. Or were they? In some minimally plausible scenario, the Obama Administration might have been criminally stupid. But I doubt it. In any case, the bulk of Libya’s revolutionary foot soldiers were undisciplined teenaged boys in pickup trucks. Arming them and then hoping for the best was a predictable foreign policy disaster.

The funny thing about guns is that once they are handed out like participation trophies they cannot so easily be recalled. Where are those guns today? No one knows. They might have been used to kill four Americans in Benghazi a year after the coup concluded. Just speculation? I’m sure Obama’s defenders would say that though it should be remembered that the guys who overran our consulate made a getaway because they won. No one was able to check the serial numbers on their guns so the mystery remains unsolved. But is it so difficult to believe that some of those guns supplied with US approval might have found their way into the hands of the terrorists who attacked our consulate? I say no.

Once loose, these guns grew legs and crossed borders. According to the same New York Times article: “Some of the arms since have been moved from Libya to militants with ties to Al Qaeda in Mali, where radical jihadi factions have imposed Shariah law in the northern part of the country, the former Defense Department official said.”

Super! According to Glen Johnson of the Los Angeles Times in an article about the Malinese rebels: “Since the beginning of last year’s insurgency against longtime Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi, weapons have streamed out of Libya, looted from depots and sold on the black market. Difficult to track and impossible to quantify, they move in many directions.”

Let’s not forget Syria. Some of the Qatari guns ended up there as well and that doesn’t include those weapons provided directly by the US government. In 2013, NBC News reported that the US was providing moderate Syrian fighters with $2.5 million per month, rations, radios, and would soon be providing them with weapons as well. Even if this army was “moderate” as its leaders claimed, and I doubt that it was, their weapons proved difficult to control.

Another failed Obama initiative that nonetheless introduced more weapons into Syria was the CIA-sponsored program for training mercenaries. Many of the guerillas—sixty in all, trained at the obscene cost of $500 million—quickly disappeared once in enemy territory with the military hardware provided to them by our government. Desertion is a possibility. ISIS captured or killed many others and likely still has their weapons.

Barack Obama really is adept at killing people. He’s killed a lot of people “by accident,” I suppose, though all of his accidents were easily foreseen and easily avoidable. He nonetheless lectures the rest of us about our guns.

 nObama Deploys the 'Great Green Fleet' 
From December 1907 to February 1909, President Theodore Roosevelt ordered America's steel-hulled, steam-powered battle fleet to circumnavigate the globe. Nicknamed the "Great White Fleet," the excursion showed that the United States' military was a technologically current global superpower. A hundred years later, Barack nObama is trying to demonstrate that the world's greatest superpower can operate within the constraints of his climate change agenda with a Navy, Mitt Romney noted in 2012, that is the smallest its ever been since 1917. We suppose that's one way to pay tribute to the past.
          On Wednesday, the "Great Green Fleet" launched from San Diego to demonstrate that it can steam across the world's oceans using nothing but alternative fuel. The Department of Defense wanted the U.S. Navy to run on a 50/50 mix of traditional petroleum and biofuels by year 2020. It seemed to be making headway by using a plant-based jet fuel — for which it paid $29.30 a gallon. After Congress mandated that any alternative fuel had to be competitive with petroleum fuel, the military lowered its standards, as the fuel some ships in the USS John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group are burning is a blend of 10% biofuel and 90% petroleum. In other words, those green ships are running on a biofuel mix similar to the one found at the common gas station. At least the price is right — $2.05 per gallon — for a biofuel that's composed of beef fat. How American.
          While the nObama administration might cite warm, fuzzy feelings for turning the U.S. Navy green, the move toward biofuels means an increase in cronyism, with the green industry positioning itself to make a killing. Meanwhile, the price of oil, thanks to OPEC holding steady on production and Iran entering the world market, is heading ever lower. It makes more sense for the U.S. military to develop nuclear power, but this is what we get from a commander in chief more concerned with fighting the temperature than terrorists.  -The Patriot Post

 DC Blizzard? These Guys Never Take a Break 
Hilly Clinton kept information on her home-brew server that went beyond the government's top-secret designation. This is information dealing with Special Access Programs, a security designation on information to which only a handful of people have access. Information so secretive that when members of Congress who sit on intelligence oversight committees are briefed on it, they cannot take notes. When that level of information was found on Clinton's server, the inspector general of the intelligence community had to get special security clearances just to continue the investigation.
          Former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey believes the FBI has enough cause to prosecute Clinton. "But will it be brought?" Mukasey wrote. "That depends in part on the recommendation of FBI Director James Comey, a man described by President nObama, at the time the president appointed him, as 'fiercely independent.'"
          Anthony DeChristopher, a former Special Forces soldier and currently an intelligence analyst, wrote that when his team in Afghanistan lost a thumb drive with classified information and later found it for sale on the black market, the military changed its protocol for working with classified information — for a thumb drive. And as far as what's been found on Hilly's home-brew server, "Special Access Programs (SAP) is a game changer," DeChristopher wrote. "It is now undeniably clear that the results of the FBI investigation will be the end of one of two things: Hilly's bid for the White House or the legitimacy of the FBI — at least when it comes to prosecuting cases on the mishandling of classified material."
          Finally, in an interview with Hugh Hewitt, former Defense Secretary Robert Gates said, "given the fact that the Pentagon acknowledges that they get attacked about 100,000 times a day, I think the odds are pretty high" that whatever classified information is on Clinton's server, China, Iran and Russia have it.

Right after nObama boasted of these low gas prices, he reverted back to form, by sermonizing:

"We've got to accelerate the transition away from dirty energy" -- by which he means fossil fuels. Then the hammer came down: "I'm going to push to change the way we manage our oil and coal resources, so that they better reflect the costs they impose on taxpayers and our planet."

So, 30 seconds after toasting lower gas prices, he pledges to find ways to make gas more expensive.

The irony of the nObama war against fossil fuels is that the shale oil and gas revolution in America has saved nObama. During his first term, all the net new jobs created in America came from oil and gas as fracking took off in Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. nObama owed his re-election to the frackers, but instead he and his Environmental Protection Agency have tried to shut them down.

The EPA has issued three regulations in the last year -- the clean power plant rule, the methane rule and tougher clean air statutes -- that have begun to shut down fossil fuel production in America, as planned.

How bad are these rules? According to Harold Hamm of Continental Resources, a major driller in North Dakota: "These rules and red tape are killing us. They are raising our costs at a time when oil prices are low, and margins are already thin. This means layoffs of workers." nObama seems to be doing exactly what the Saudi oil sheiks are trying to do: shutting down fracking in America.

nObama won't allow drilling on federal lands. He wants to raise taxes on oil and gas production. He won't give the go-ahead to the Keystone XL pipeline, or any pipelines for that matter, and he just handed out hundreds of millions of dollars to keep the solar and wind industries from bankruptcy. Other than that, he's pro-oil and pro-gas.

He also neglected to mention that the major reason that U.S. carbon emissions are falling is that cheap and clean-burning natural gas, due to shale drilling, is becoming the No. 1 source of electricity production in America. The lesson: Free markets and innovation are almost always the best way to clean the environment.

If nObama's vision of an American energy future is fulfilled, the price of oil and gas will skyrocket -- again. He'd like that to happen. This is the only possible scenario that makes green energy financially feasible.

One last point about low gas prices. How come when oil prices rise, the entire industry is accused of price fixing to gouge consumers? But if the industry has the monopolistic powers to keep prices as high as possible, why aren't they doing that now? The answer is in the new era of shale oil and gas this a brutally price-competitive industry -- unlike in the past, where the OPEC monopoly was able to fix prices. OPEC can't manipulate prices now, because the U.S. will soon be the world's largest producer. All the more reason to let the domestic oil and gas industry flourish.

For now, nObama, unbelievably, will hog the credit for lower gas prices that he never wanted in the first place, while he finds every way possible to make gas more expensive in the years to come. No wonder voters have grown so cynical of the political class.

In the days leading up to the Feb. 1 Iowa Caucus, the Republican presidential field has undergone some significant shifts. After last Thursday's debate, the consensus seemed to favor a three-man race — Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. But some would go even further to say it's really down to Trump and Cruz. Establishment versus Outsider. But who is who?
          As for the rest of the field, Rubio's path to the nomination seems to be getting more, not less, difficult. His battles with Cruz and Chris Christie have exposed the problems his record poses for both conservatives and the rest of the base, particularly on immigration. And without a win in the early states, as seems likely, many wonder if Rubio can stay strong long enough to turn the tide.
          And what of establishment darling Jeb Bush? Well, Jeb! has spent much of this contest polling in the single digits, and despite (or rather because of) his attacks on Trump and his numerous and uninspiring policy speeches, he just isn't gaining traction with an electorate looking to throw the bums out. An almost sure loss in New Hampshire could mark the end for Bush.
          As for Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Rand Paul and the rest? We can expect to see them all to be picked off in the early primaries as their predictably meager showings lead to a bleeding of cash and supporters and the inevitable campaign suspension announcements.

 Half a Million Foreigners Overstay Their Visas 
The Department of Homeland Security this week published its Entry/Exit Overstay Report For Fiscal Year 2015. The Visa Waiver Program study "provides data on departures and overstays, by country, for foreign visitors to the United States who were lawfully admitted into the United States for specific, temporary purposes, but overstayed their lawful admission period." From the report: "In FY 2015, of the nearly 45 million nonimmigrant visitor admissions through air or sea ports of entry that were expected to depart in FY 2015, DHS determined that 527,127 individuals overstayed their admission, for a total overstay rate of 1.17 percent." And "more than 90 percent of those who remained in the country illegally, a total of 482,781, were believed to still be present through the end of last year," the Washington Examiner reports.
          Even a fraction of that number would be concerning. Adds the Examiner, "[A] number of countries with ties to terrorism had significant numbers of nationals still in the U.S. accounted for by the federal government: 1,435 from Pakistan, 681 from Iraq, 564 from Iran, 440 from Syria, 219 from Yemen, 219 from Afghanistan, and 56 from Libya." This particular study doesn't take other significant visa programs into account, so the actual number of nonimmigrants who are still in the U.S. despite having expired visas is higher. Among the ways terrorists can slip through under the radar, none are more obvious than our broken visa system. After all, those overstaying visas account for somewhere between 40% and 50% of illegals in this country.  -The Patriot Post

 NOAA Confirms 2015 Was World's Warmest, But...  A few days before a blizzard threatens to shut down Washington, DC, probably isn't the best time to make a major global warming announcement. Nevertheless, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration today said that the 2015 global temperature finished 1.62 degrees Fahrenheit above average, which easily beat out 2014. According to the report, "This was the highest among all 136 years in the 1880–2015 record, surpassing the previous record set [in 2014] by 0.29°F (0.16°C) and marking the fourth time a global temperature record has been set this century. This is also the largest margin by which the annual global temperature record has been broken." An independent analysis by NASA foundsimilar results.
          However, satellite measurements were less daunting. NOAA says, "The 2015 temperature for the lower troposphere (roughly the lowest five miles of the atmosphere) was third highest in the 1979-2015 record, at 0.65°F (0.36°C) above the 1981–2010 average, as analyzed by the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH). It was also third highest on record, at 0.47°F (0.26°C) above the 1981–2010 average, as analyzed by Remote Sensing Systems (RSS)." And that's exactly what climatologist Dr. Roy Spencer predicted last month. In fact, he went a step further: "What is interesting is to consider the possibility that 2016 will indeed be a record warm year, even in the UAH (and probably RSS) satellite data. This is because the second year of El Niño year couplets is almost always the warmest, and 2015 is only the first year." Translation: Expect 2016 to be record warm, even among satellite measurements. And when it is, remember that it was forecasted using natural variables. Speaking of which, the current El Niño is expected to flip to La Niña later this year. {townhall.com} ~ Two GOP representatives have subpoenaed Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew to provide documents to the Committee on Energy and Commerce regarding the shady business dealings of President nObama’s health care legislation... House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX)are determined to get to the bottom of the $5 billion that was shelled out to insurance companies under the so called Affordable Care Act. The payments in question appear to have been made to reduce the out-of-pocket costs for people enrolled in nObamacare. As such, Upton and Brady are requesting relevant information from Lew because such “cost-sharing reduction” payments as these appear to have been need to be appropriated by Congress. {townhall.com} ~ The race for president is accelerating in high gear, or, rather, the races for president -- in the Republican and Democratic parties, in the Iowa caucuses, the New Hampshire primary and primaries and caucuses to come. How's it going? Let's look at these separate races.

The Iowa Republican caucuses: The polls show a two-way race here between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, with little room for an outsider to crash through to victory as Mike Huckabee did in 2008 and Rick Santorum in 2012. Each of the poll leaders has recently lobbed a cheap-shot attack on the other, and each slapped the other down in last week's Fox Business debate.

Trump's coy hints that Cruz may not be a "natural-born citizen" may have rolled back Cruz's Iowa surge, but Cruz knocked them down convincingly in the debate. But then Cruz slyly charged that Trump embodies, without specifying just how, "New York values," and Trump responded by reminding everyone of how all Americans admired New Yorkers for their response to the Sept. 11 attacks.

It looks like a close contest between Cruz's base of religious conservatives (57 percent of caucus-goers in 2012) and Trump's base of non-college-graduates (who could substantially increase Republicans' previous anemic caucus turnout). Far behind, running third in polls, is Marco Rubio. Rubio, perhaps responding to Rich Lowry's observation in National Review that his sunny temperament is out-of-sync with Republican voters' anger, angrily attacked Barack nObama, Hilly Clinton, Ted Cruz and Chris Christie. Which has relevance for:

The New Hampshire Republican primary: In 1984, Gary Hart leveraged a 16 percent second place in Iowa to a win in New Hampshire. Rubio surely hopes a distant third in Iowa, which is likely if Ben Carson continues to sag, will do something like that for him in New Hampshire, where he is competing with three other candidates -- Christie, Jeb Bush, John Kasich -- for the state's many moderate and/or secular voters.

Christie's blunt style has been effective in numerous town-hall events there, and in the debate Rubio went after him on Common Core, gun control, the Sotomayor Supreme Court appointment and Planned Parenthood. Christie concentrated on sharp, even snide attacks on Barack nObama, hoping Republicans would forget his pre-election-week hug of the president in 2012, and came out strong on foreign policy. But his ridiculing of squabbling senators looks like a process argument that won't sway votes.

Jeb Bush and John Kasich largely ignored their New Hampshire competitors. Bush went after Trump, with solid criticisms of his call for banning Muslims from the country. But did he show the sense of command voters seek in a president? Kasich was less frenetic than in past debates. Both candidates have records in office that deserve respect -- but haven't gotten much of that recently.

The national Republican race: Many observers think the race will come down to a choice of Rubio and Cruz, and the two went at it on two major issues. On immigration Cruz attacked Rubio for supporting the Gang of Eight "comprehensive" legislation and Rubio attacked Cruz for flip-flopping on specifics.

More enlightening was their intellectually serious argument over their significantly different tax plans. Expect much more of this if they achieve their goals in Iowa and New Hampshire, plus confrontations on their significant differences on foreign policy.

The Democratic race: January Republican polls look a lot like Republican polls in December. January Democratic polls look a lot different from those taken before the two-week holiday blackout period.

Before the break Hilly Clinton was leading Bernie Sanders by solid margins nationally and in Iowa, and they were tied in New Hampshire. In January Clinton's national lead has been cut by two-thirds; she and Sanders are statistically tied in Iowa, and Sanders has a bigger lead in New Hampshire. Did Clinton fare poorly in extended family holiday dinner table debates?

Clinton has responded with none of the political and policy deftness Bill Clinton showed during most of his political career until he picked up his pardoning pen in the last hours of his presidency.

She continues to hammer Sanders on gun control, the one issue on which he's to her right, but has done nothing to restore her credibility. She has run ads suggesting Sanders would cut off all government health care -- not an intellectually or politically sustainable argument.

Clinton can still win even if she loses Iowa and New Hampshire. But she doesn't look like a strong nominee.

No Bank too Big to Fail or Individual too Big to Jail
Shoplifting is a crime most people would recognize as wrong. Taking someone's property that isn't yours is not right. As I was at the throne in Walmart brainstorming a political post, my head cocked to the right as I read the sign staring me in the face. "Shoplifting is Stealing. It's a crime. Even if it's your first offense, you could be punished with a lengthy prison term and a substantial monetary fine, plus a record that will haunt you for the rest of your life. "What", I thought, "made the Office of the President any less valuable to the U.S. Supreme Court than anything sold at Walmart?"
 
Most Constitutional Scholars do recognize the importance of 'Standing' in legal doctrine. It is the doctrine that prohibits those who witness an accident from suing for shock from those actually suffering the accident who are in shock or critically injured. Sarah Helene Duggin of the Constitution Center opined "in the absence of an Amendment the clause should be narrowly interpreted.", recognizing attempts to change the definition Legislatively have failed through the Elected Leaders of the People, the Court's definite Challenge in waiting for Presidential Candidates to bring a case to them, and the difficulty in navigating the case through the political minefields of particular party nominees that bring the ship so close to elections. 

Obama's first big challenge in the U.S. Supreme Court came in 2008 from a former deputy attorney general of Pennsylvania ,Democratic Party chairmen of Montgomery County, and author of recently released ObamaScare,  Phil J. Berg. The lawsuit  was dismissed due to a lack of standing. (Third U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals)  Phil Berg was not a Presidential Candidate and his assertion of standing due to an infringement of his voting capacity to vote for an eligible candidate did not convince the U.S. Supreme Court. 
 
That technicality of "Standing" however has never been used in any of the Cases brought by '08, '12, and 2016 Presidential Candidate Cody Robert Judy (CRJ) - the only Candidate in America with a bi-partisan Federal Court Record in the defense of the [natural born Citizen] ie. [born in the U.S. to Citizen Parents] , qualification for the Office of President in the U.S. Constitution's Article II, Section 1, Clause 5. See: Judy v. McCain and Judy v. Obama.
 
In CRJ's latest U.S. Supreme Court case considered closed only 2 months ago due to the SCOTUS refusing his forma pauperis Motion, that had been granted by his two lower Court in the Federal District Utah Division and the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and which was coincidentally granted by the U.S. Supreme Court in 12-5276, he stated, "It's just a real shame that the Office of the President is valued less in the U.S. Supreme Court Justice's minds, than stolen property from Walmart or the value of a dog. "
 
Like small businesses struggling to survive the Campaigns of Presidential Candidates often also incorporated, demand huge amounts of time, talent, attention, products and services. "In the malfeasance of Justice represented by the JusticesReview, in light of their decisions and the evidence had in the Motion for forma pauperis with the balance of the Writ of Certiorari hanging, small businesses that are subject to the same rules can fail and the big ones are aloud to survive. Its basically Open Season to Steal all of the hard work that has gone into my Campaigns for President over the last seven years", Judy said. "I'm sure any business owner would agree with me, it really hurts when shoplifting is rampant. "
 
The assertions in Judy's complaint actually do address the illegal formations present in Presidential Political Campaigns as businesses or Corporations, that can form illegal cartels with each other apposing the U.S. Constitution. These are indeed Standards subject to rules and regulations of big businesses like the Sherman Act and Clayton Act afford in the formations of giant monopolies meant to curb the illegal actions of wiping out small businesses or in CRJ's case smaller campaigns, who are still beholden to rules. This begs the question- are Big Campaigns too big to Fail based on violations of the Constitution as a Standard or the money that is collected in contributions?

In the last Democratic Party Debate held on a three-day weekend on a Sunday Night receiving just barely half of the viewership that Republican Debates have received held during the week days, mostly in prime time, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton declared in a warning to Big Bank Bailouts 'There should be no Bank too big to fail, or individual too big to jail".

Of course what came out of Hillary Clinton's Debate did not represent what she voted for. As a U.S. Senator she in fact supported "too Big to Fail" in the support of Troubled Asset Relief Program or TARP I.

It was even shocking to hear those words come out of Hillary's mouth while a pending FBI Investigation, continually denied as ongoing, was mired in recent revelations of SAP evidence exceeding TOP Secret  that have the FBI legitimacy pitted against Hillary Clinton's Presidential Campaign.

On that subject, all things are Political according to the defense of Hillary Clinton's Campaign against the FBI Investigation despite laws, regulations, and  Hillary Clinton's own signature subjecting herself to those regulations of Top Security Clearances. The totality of the investigation is a vast right wing conspiracy to her. So what would Hillary Clinton or her Campaign call the assault upon the qualifications of the Office of the President in the U.S. Constitution- a vast right wing conspiracy? With Ted Cruz involved, probably.

Indeed, the link that really should exist or concern American's between Hillary Clinton's allegedly targeting womenwho were victims of affairs with her husband Bill, that one women described as writing the book on terrorizing women on terrorism, and the Emailgate of national security being compromised on her Private Server, is the motive of both of them: Tyrannical Control.

Galvanizing support in discrediting testimony of course is a tactic used by lawyers in defense of those assaulting women in an effort to amass control of a runaway demonizing prosecution. The same motive exist for Hillary Clinton in choosing to use a Private Email Server where she gains the totality of control on what Emails will and won't be released in Freedom of Information Act or FOIA Request. The control of the information and then the framing of that information is critical in presenting the picture to the Media and by the Media to the General Public. The motive between the two is then the "Control Factor". Control the testimony's to Bill's infidelities, and control the FOIA request with the use of her private server, to hell with national security?

The POLITICS OF LAW v. The STANDARD OF LAW
Throughout our entire lives we have always hoped that somehow the Politics of our Law was immune to the Standard of our Law. In this rested the wisdom of giving the U.S. Supreme Court Justices life tenure. They would never have to endure an Election Process which might subject them to the bending and shifting Politicians go through to attract the votes necessary to win an Elected Office with promises often unfulfilled and broken- aka. "You can keep your Doctor".

This allowed and afforded SCOTUS Justices great latitude in the assignment of simply Standing for the Standard of the U.S. Constitution. What has happened to that Assignment in regards to the Qualifications of [natural born Citizen ] distinct to the Office of the President and Vice President? Have the Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court politicized or made political their own assignments by refusing to hear Judy v. Obama 14-9396 based on a refusal to grant Forma Pauperis where it should have been granted by all accounts? It is a 12 month Form for God's sake, come on, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to conclude an arbitrary denial has taken place. 

But has the U.S. Constitution even become Politicized? The interest of course is there with so many different States coming into agreement with varying laws that the 10th Amendment was witnesses as necessary to allow and afford States Rights independent and in a defense of the Claim of Federal Dictatorship. This emphasized the difference ofEnglish Common Law and the Laws of Nations or principles of natural law. 

Of course great differences existed in the Colony States, but probably the most understated, mutually agreed upon, edict of all with no disagreement was the [natural born Citizen] Clause of the Qualifications of the Office of President. They all agreed it was a really good idea. Yes, they were from many different perspectives and opinions in total agreement.

 Now instead of a simple refusal to look at the [natural born Citizen] clause of the Constitution disagreed upon by two Candidates for President, one holding damages by the other's crippling regard to rules and regulations in Judy v. Obama 14-9396,   you have the stark addition to the introduction of cruelty for economic conditions seen in a denial of access to Justice by the highest Court. 

To label it mildly egregious is as misleading as seeing the Flint, Michigan Government Officials cover-up lead poisoning findings and assert everything is fine while the residence of Flint complaints steadily stream that the water looks, smells, and taste bad. Understanding the Office of the President should be protected as rigorously by the U.S. Supreme Court Justices as the Mayor and Governors should protect water.

 Interestingly it was the ACLU who leaked the Internal EPA contamination of the water. The American Civil Liberties Union whose stated mission is to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.

So does the ACLU figure water is more important in value than the Office of the President's qualification denied by the egregious denial of a Forma Pauperis Motion? Apparently so. American's know that shoplifting is a crime and is prosecuted heavily and they also know and see that stealing the White House is aloud in a polluted, ill-hearted, and poisoned defense of the most important Office in the U.S. Constitution. This cannot stand.

It's not a prank, or a joke, or a thrill. It's a Crime!

If govt officials at all levels,even to the very top, lie to the citizens of that country, then the security, trust and freedoms of that country will be eroded and eventually the citizens will no longer have a country they want to live in.

Look at NAZI Germany.

If the top officials appoint bad people to run the depts. of govt. and those bad officials hire bad and criminal-type people to help them run that dept. and those criminals hire only criminals like themselves, then that whole dept. become Gestapo-like with little concern for the people's freedoms and will rob those people of all that matters.
