“Christians in Coastal Kenya Fearful after Slaughter of 13 Non-Muslims,” Morning Star News, July 12, 2017:

NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – Al Shabaab militia over the weekend killed 13 non-Muslims, mostly Christians, in coastal Kenya, sources said.

Village Muslims in the Pandanguo settlement of Lamu County helped Islamic extremists from the Somalia-based Al Shabaab identify locations where the Christians resided, a survivor of the attack told Morning Star News from a hospital in Mpeketoni. Several of the victims were beheaded.

The assailants killed four non-Muslims in Kipini (sometimes called Kadundu) on Sunday (July 9), not far from the Boni forest, a reputed hiding place of Al Shabaab rebels battling the government in Somalia. Early Saturday morning in Jima they killed nine non-Muslims in attacks that began at around 11 p.m. the previous night, shooting some and hacking others to death with machetes, including beheadings, area sources said.

“The Christians were asked to recite the Islamic dogmas, which they could not, hence they were killed,” a source said. “We urged the government to investigate and bring to book these local Muslims who are harboring these Al Shabaab terrorists, because the Christians who were decapitated were farmers.”…

This final post is excerpted speeches and, later, a look at the “wild side” when they got to 18th street —  32BJ SEIU HQ — and met up with #BacktheBan protestors.

To begin, Murad Awawdeh, NYIC’s Director of Political Engagement, led the crowd in practice chants “We Exist, We RESIST”,  finishing with a pep talk, “YOU are important. As soon as info comes out, use Social media. Text!”

First speaker was Afaf Nasher, Exec. Dir. of CAIR – NY. “Our values are loud and clear to the four corners of the globe. We are here to reaffirm what America really stands for. To reaffirm what America really LOOKS like. To really affirm the United States of America.”

Three speakers followed: Rev. Chloe Breyer, Exec Dir Interfaith Center: “… representing so many Faith TRADITIONS that make this city great. It is our DIVERSITY that is our strength.“; a Yemini American Muslima,” (has family living in Yemen). “A country representing Yemen, facing one of the worst humanitarian crises of our times“; and Y. Mendez, an organizer from Make The Road NY. “Here to make sure the current administration knows, to remind the United States is a country of immigrants, we are here to stay regardless of how the administration wants to affect us.”

The final speakers: a staff attorney from CUNY Clear. “We don’t know how this is going to play out. We need to be organizing. Thank you for being here.” And Rama Issa, Exec Dir of the Arab. Amer. Assoc. NY. “Family is family. We are very community oriented. Keep us in your prayers. Hoping Supreme Court will see eye to eye with us in October.”

Once at  32BJ SEIU HQ, the #NoMuslimBanEver protestors passionately lobbed chants and rants at the “offending” #BACKTHEBAN protestors. One  smarmy fellow danced to “New York is an immigrant Town. What’s Up. Get Down.”

Wrapping up the protest was one very loud and long-winded “NoBanEver heckler. “Unity. Syrians are Human Beings. They’re FULL human beings. Immigrants are FULL human beings. MUSLIMS are FULL Human Beings.” followed by lots of “Keep them out.” “Back the Ban.” and “Shame on you.”

After the Town Hall Meeting — Training session, they headed for JFK where they fought back against the Travel Ban by offering, at the Mayor’s behest, FREE legal aid.

UK: 5 jihad terror attacks thwarted in last few weeks, one within minutes of being carried out

One of the reasons why Britain is dealing with so many jihad terror attacks is its refusal to confront their source and motivating ideology. This article is a case in point: neither Cressida Dick nor the Telegraph say straight out who these terrorists are. The only way to tell is the reference to being “radicalized,” and to the “colleagues overseas.” Only jihadis, not “right-wing extremists,” are an international threat, and the term “radicalized” is primarily used of peaceful Muslims who turn to jihad. That we have to read the tea leaves in this way to figure out what is going on is indication of a problem that British authorities fear to face squarely, and thus have no chance of dealing with adequately.

Police have thwarted five terror attacks in the last few weeks including some which were “very close” to being carried out, Britain’s most senior police officer has said….

Speaking on Nick Ferrari’s show on LBC on Friday, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick said a “very large number of plots” have been foiled over the last few years.

Pressed on exactly how many attacks have been thwarted, she said that in “just the last few weeks”, five have been averted….

“In addition, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of arrests of people who are radicalised, and are either spreading hatred or supporting terrorism, or want to carry out a terrorist attack.

“We have had a huge number of successful operations, together with the intelligence agencies and we work very closely with them and with colleagues overseas.”…

When asked if they were “within minutes” of being carried out, Ms Dick replied: “Yes.”

Sessions Reveals in Closed-Door Speech New Protections for Religious Liberty on the Way

At a closed-door event Tuesday evening, Attorney General Jeff Sessions revealed that new federal guidance to protect “religious liberty” is on the way “soon.”

Tuesday’s speech to the Alliance Defending Freedom was not open to the press and the Justice Department declined requests to provide Sessions’ prepared remarks to the media, but later published the speech on The Federalist Thursday.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order in May entitled, “Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty,” which directed Sessions to “issue guidance interpreting religious liberty protections in federal law,” but nothing — at least publicly — has come of the executive order to date. Sometimes a notion or a concept can seem insightful upon its initial articulation, but after additional consideration it seems rather vapid or out of touch with reality. For example, published in the December 2016 edition of “Christianity Today” is a column titled “Christianity Without An Adjective”.

On the surface, such a goal seems laudable as it is a reminder not to sublimate Christ to any particular ideology or social philosophy. However, such an admonition fails to take into consideration why many today feel the need to articulate a modifier when describing their particular brand of Christianity and how this admonition to avoid doing so just as easily plays into the hands of the adversary.

“Christianity Today” began in the second half of the twentieth century in order to defend sound Biblical Theology in an intellectually respectable and rigorous manner before a public whose institutions of thought had already turned markedly hostile towards religiously orthodox ideas and perspectives.

In particular, “Christianity Today” was intended to stand as an alternative to more leftist publications such as “Christian Century”, “Commonweal”, and “Sojourners Magazine”. These publications often tended to promote a more liberal outlook on a variety of social, cultural, and theological issues to the point where the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith were denied but the Christian terminology retained as a way to understand reality even if these definitions were reconceptualized in compliance with the radical fads of any given moment of the lengthy print runs of these respective publications. Coming briefly to mind was an article published a few years ago suggesting in violation of Hebrews 9:22 that the shedding of blood really wasn't all the necessary for the remission of sins after all.

Those holding to a more traditionalist understanding of the faith once delivered unto the saints were not the ones that attempted to alter the rules in the middle of the game or the very game itself. As such, why are we obligated to be the ones verbalizing a flagellating remorse in order to differentiate ourselves from those that deny essential doctrines such as the Incarnation of Christ, His Resurrection, and heterosexual marriage as the only valid form of carnal relations between human beings?

From the article, the discerning reader also comes away with the impression that this crusade against descriptive modifiers is also a front through which to ensnare Evangelical Christianity in the leftist fads of White privilege and racial guilt.

K.A. Ellis writes, “A Christianity qualified by any adjective now feels restrictive for good reason.” That means that, .by tying Christianity to any one particular understanding, one ends up feeling guilty when making common cause with universalists, moral subversives, and any number of garden variety unbelievers.

The author continues, “...As I mentioned in a previous column, that is why some are calling themselves 'Christian Americans' rather than 'American Christians'.” In other words, the truly pious or devout (those truly “sold out to Jesus” as they used to say hoping to manipulate prospects into “surrendering” to full time missionary work) have severed all meaningful ties with an identity other than their Christian one.

Yet while this is praised with one hand, the author turns around and ignores this ideal with another. What the writer probably intended to convey was that this condemnation of Christians identifying themselves in part by their particular nationality is only to be applied to those that invoke the term to signify a sort of benevolent sternness that, while desiring to advocate as much goodwill as possible to the external world, when the time comes is not going to be passively kicked around by the advocates of malevolence and tyranny.

For example, K.A. Ellis referred to Stanley Hauerwas as an “American theologian” and not as a “theologian from America”. It should be pointed out that Hauerwas is noted for markedly leftwing views.

Those that like to pat themselves on the back by playing word games in the attempt to trip people up but in the process expose just how devoid of actual wisdom and commonsense those whose primary purpose in life is to put on display just how broadminded they think themselves to be will no doubt make a fuss that in this particular instance the word “American” was paired with the word “theologian”. As such, this new standard being advocated does not apply.

However, this was not the only instance it was violated in this particular article. Ellis writes, “...we are more in concert with the orthodoxy of the two-thirds world Christians, especially those in the underground church.”

Shouldn't Ellis have formulated the phraseology as “Christians in the two-thirds world”? So if we are to so despise America that we get jacked out of shape upon hearing the linguistic combination “American Christians” why ought those living elsewhere get an easy pass?

Worthy of note is the admonition to be “in concert with the orthodoxy of two-thirds-world Christians, especially those in the underground church.” Just what exactly does that consist of?

Does Ellis mean the strong stance against homosexuality and similar carnal lifestyles that have prompted a number of ecclesiastical functionaries to take a bold position against the wanton licentiousness allowed to fester in certain branches of the Anglican Communion by seeking their apostolic oversight under a select number of African bishops rather than traditional Western prelates? Or instead, is this sentiment articulated more in solidarity with the tendency of some in these less developed lands to prefer a less than free market and more communal distribution of resources where profit does not so much accrue to those that earned it but rather to those that shout their grievances the loudest or are perhaps the most proficient at acts of violence?

It is imperative that Christianity be articulated in such a way as to grab the attention of those that are spiritually adrift. However, their eventually comes a point where those attempting to reach the lost by adopting much of the way that the lost view the world around them become virtually indistinguishable from the lost and end up losing much of their way as well.

Here are the six elements Soros says should underpin a comprehensive EU migrant plan:

Jihad by Court: A “Modern and Aggressive Form of Jihad”

Valentina Colombo, a professor at the European University in Rome, warned early on about “jihad by court”. In 2009, in Gatestone, she wrote:

“The lawsuit that was initiated by The Union of the Islamic Organizations of France and the Great Mosque of Paris against the satirical magazine ‘Charlie Hebdo’ for republishing the Danish cartoons about Muhammad is one of the most recent examples of this kind of jihad.”

But nobody (in France) paid attention to the warning. And when jihadists came in 2015 to murder eight journalists and cartoonists, nobody understood that jihad by court is only the first step. When people persist in what other people regard as “Islamophobia”, murderers have shown up to make sure the message sticks.

In another article, Colombo writes: “Jihad by court is another form of ‘intermediate’ jihad and is a modern and aggressive form of jihad through legal means.”

Jihad by court is one of the favorite means of the organizations and individuals ideologically linked with the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in the West and sometimes is connected with the accusation of Islamophobia. The strategy is clear: any journalist, writer, intellectual, academic, activist or any newspaper, organization, association criticizing or exposing a Muslim Brotherhood individual or organization is very likely to be sued for defamation. The Legal Project of the Middle East Forum, based in the U.S., has given a very useful definition of this tactic:

Such lawsuits are often predatory, filed without a serious expectation of winning, but undertaken as a means to bankrupt, distract, intimidate, and demoralize defendants. Plaintiffs seek less to prevail in the courtroom than to wear down researchers and analysts. Even when the latter win cases, they pay heavily in time, money, and spirit. As counterterrorism specialist Steven Emerson comments, “Legal action has become a mainstay of radical Islamist organizations seeking to intimidate and silence their critics.” Islamists clearly hope, Douglas Farah notes, that researchers will “get tired of the cost and the hassle [of lawsuits] and simply shut up.”

French intellectuals, journalists, officials do not yet understand that they must organize, raise funds and elaborate strategies with lawyers to counter this threat. No one can compete individually against court by jihad. If an organized counter-strategy is not elaborated, the prediction of Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Egyptian Islamic cleric and chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars — “We will colonize you with your democratic laws” — will come true.

Linda Sarsour warns critics after calling for “jihad” against Trump: “I am taking names”

Well, come and get me, Ms. Sarsour. If I am on your enemies list, I do hope you got my name right: it’s Robert, not Richard, and Spencer, not Spenser. If you sue, our day in court will be most interesting: I argued that you, as a devout and knowledgeable Muslim, must know that the Qur’an’s primary vision of jihad involves violence and warfare, and so does that of the Hadith and Islamic law. To claim that I was “lying” about you, you would have to demonstrate that you’re completely ignorant of Islamic texts and teachings. And that could have unfortunate implications for your reputation among your legions of followers. This could be great fun!

Meanwhile, Sarsour’s victimhood act is as tiresome as it is predictable. Here is a woman who is a darling of the Left and the establishment media whining because she has faced some justified criticism. She got a platform in the Washington Post to clarify her “jihad” remarks, and recently gave the commencement speech at CUNY. She is lionized and hailed everywhere in the mainstream, while her critics are shut out of the mainstream, shouted down and physically menaced when we speak at colleges and universities (if we get invited at all), and excoriated everywhere as “racists” and “Islamophobes.” Oh, and then there are the death threats, which have the reality of the Islamic jihad behind them, while Sarsour’s claim that she has received death threats has only the chimera of “right-wing extremism” behind it. So kindly cut the whining, Ms. Sarsour: if you were standing for freedom, you would find out what it really means to be victimized.

Speaking at the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) last week, Palestinian-American, anti-Israel and pro-Sharia activist, Linda Sarsour received major criticism when she called for “jihad” against the Trump administration.

Despite the obvious backlash, it is Sarsour who is now on the offensive as the incredibly ironic darling of the left has now threatened the critics who have “lied” about her.

On Wednesday she tweeted, “Just know that I am taking names of those who have lied about me to defame my character. I may be quiet now but not for long. I am working.”

She later added, “I have a running document of the lies & who is putting them out there. This is not about setting records straight, it’s who will pay 4 lies?”

Sarsour sent several more tweets about the alleged false allegations against her and the vow to confront the perpetrators.

It is unclear as of now who the purveyors of the lies are, but most media outlets accused of attacking Sarsour did little more than play an unedited video of her in her own words where she called for a “Jihad” against the “white supremacists” in the White House.

Perhaps she is talking about the “Zionists” in the media.
