Liberal Derangement Syndrome now has a poster boy…Rachel Maddow from MSNBC…and if any but liberal loons were in charge of the mainstream media, Maddow’s broadcast on Tuesday night would officially be listed in a coroner’s report as a suicide.

For hours before going on the air, poster boy Maddow hyped her show by claiming that at 9pm eastern time, she would be releasing President Trump’s tax returns, and she punctuated her hype with the word, “seriously.”

No kidding…”seriously.”

“BREAKING: We’ve got Trump tax returns. Tonight, 9pm ET. MSNBC. (Seriously).”

Obviously, Maddow is desperate, as is MSNBC as a whole, to get a ratings point ahead of that of a three day old wiener on a gas station weenie roaster. Maddow claimed that an investigative reporter, who turned out to be David Cay Johnson, a Pulitzer Prize winner, had found…in his mailbox…

What do you picture when you hear the phrase “administrative state?”

Do you think about the lexicon of federal agencies with acronyms that have come to dominate our everyday lives: IRS, EPA, OSHA, TSA? Envision sterile federal buildings populated by unelected bureaucrats rewriting laws to expand the scope of government overreach? Foresee a dystopian universe where administrative bodies supplant the constitutional system of checks and balances by simultaneously playing lawmaker, administrator, judge, and enforcement officer?

The bad news is you’re not far from the truth. Worse, for nearly a century, the administrative state has grown exponentially, taken root in our system of governance, and extended its tentacles over every aspect of our society.

What’s the good news?

At CPAC last month, White House Counselor Steve Bannon raised eyebrows with the Left and the mainstream media when he called for the “deconstruction of the administrative state.”  On Monday, President Trump got the ball rolling by issuing an executive order to “reorganize governmental functions and eliminate unnecessary agencies.”

Under the order, departments and agencies will have to submit for comments plans to reorganize themselves: “Within 180 days of the date of this order, the head of each agency shall submit to the Director a proposed plan to reorganize the agency, if appropriate, in order to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of that agency.”

What is this “administrative state?” Heritage Foundation scholar Joseph Postell defines it as a system of governance where “authority to make public policy is unlimited, centralized, and delegated to unelected bureaucrats.” Postell calls it a “‘fourth branch’ of government that typically combines the powers of the other three and makes policy with little regard for the rights and opinions of citizens.”

In other words, the administrative state is dangerous in principle because it amalgamates power by usurping the constitutional roles of the legislative and the judicial branches. For example, consider the powers of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) whose ostensible primary mission is to protect consumers from unfair methods of competition, such as monopolies.

Like numerous other agencies, the FTC conducts most of its business through substantive rulemaking, carrying with it the force of law. It also has the policing power of investigating, prosecuting, and enforcing violation of these rules. Furthermore, it has at its disposal administrative law judges and hearing officers who adjudicate conflicts arising from these rules.

Agencies, like the FTC, have amassed these powers largely due to deference or inaction by the other two branches of government. The judiciary has given deference to administrative agencies having “quasi-legislative” or “quasi-judicial” — as well as executive — powers

Also, Congress increasingly has “written” laws simply by passing vague legislative language delegating to agencies the authority to fill in the blanks with regulations and rulings. When Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare, “We have to pass the bill before you can find out what’s in it,” she couldn’t have known how on-point she really was.

Thanks to this abdication of authority, the administrative state has amassed powers that run contrary to a constitutional, republican form of government.  Practically speaking, when the real business of governing, lawmaking and adjudicating is turned over to unelected bureaucrats, who can be held accountable by the people?

The easy answer is the president, but that ignores the fact that he can only appoint approximately 4,000 of the nearly 3,000,000 members of the executive branch civilian workforce. Nor does he have the power to directly fire “career” federal employees. In other words, the soldiers of the administrative state are generally bulletproof — and they know it.

Not surprisingly, the scope of the administrative state is almost unimaginably immense — and growing. According to Diane Katz with the Heritage Foundation, federal regulators have issued more than 22,700 regulations since the start of the Obama Administration in 2009, increasing regulatory costs by more than $120 billion each and every year. Today, there are nearly 300,000 career bureaucrats administering red tape at a cost to taxpayers of nearly $70 billion, according to a George Washington University study. And with our nation facing a national debt to GDP ratio approaching its historic high, the state of our economy — and the need to dismantle the administrative state — has never been more dire.

President Trump’s executive order is commendable, but only if it marks the opening salvo of a long-pitched war. The administration is going to have to think more like Gordon Gekko and less like Al Gore. Remember “Reinventing Government”? Neither does he. Simply consolidating a few agencies here and there is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic: insufficient to avert disaster.

Donald Trump amassed a fortune building — among other things — buildings.  Now he has the opportunity to return billions of dollars to the American people and the economy by doing more than just knocking down a few federal buildings in Washington.

It’s time to smash the administrative state.

Is a Korean Missile Crisis Ahead?

{freedomsback.com} ~ To back up Defense Secretary “Mad Dog” Mattis’ warning last month, that the U.S. “remains steadfast in its commitment” to its allies, President Donald Trump is sending B-1 and B-52 bombers to Korea.

Some 300,000 South Korean and 15,000 U.S. troops have begun their annual Foal Eagle joint war exercises that run through April.

“The two sides are like two accelerating trains coming toward each other with neither side willing to give way,” says Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, “Are they really ready for a head-on collision?”

So it would seem.

It is Kim Jong Un, 33-year-old grandson of that Stalinist state’s founding father, who launched the first Korean War, who brought on this confrontation.

In February, Kim’s half-brother was assassinated in Malaysia in a VX nerve agent attack and five of Kim’s security officials were executed with anti-aircraft guns. Monday, Kim launched four missiles toward U.S. bases, with three landing in the Sea of Japan.

U.S. response: Begin immediate deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense missile shield in Korea.

This set off alarms in China. For while THAAD cannot shoot down Scuds on the DMZ, its radar can detect missile launches inside China, thereby, says Beijing, imperiling her deterrent.

For accepting THAAD, China has imposed sanctions on Seoul, and promised the U.S. a commensurate strategic response.

Minister Wang’s proposal for resolving the crisis: The U.S. and Seoul cancel the exercises and North Korea suspends the nuclear and missile tests.

How did we reach this crisis point?

In his 2002 “axis of evil” address, George W. Bush declared, “The United States … will not permit the world’s most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world’s most destructive weapons.”

He then launched a war on Iraq, which had no such weapons. But North Korea, hearing Bush’s threat, built and tested five atom bombs and scores of missiles, a few of intercontinental range.

Pyongyang has tested new presidents before.

In April 1969, North Korea shot down a U.S. EC-121 over the Sea of Japan, killing its entire crew. President Nixon, a war in Vietnam on his hands, let it pass, which he regretted ever after.

But this crisis raises larger questions about U.S. foreign policy.

Why, a quarter of a century after the Cold War, do we still have 28,000 troops in Korea? Not only does South Korea have twice the population of the North, but an economy 40 times as large, and access to U.S. weapons far superior to any in the North.

Why should Americans on the DMZ be among the first to die in a second Korean War? Should the North attack the South, could we not honor our treaty obligations with air and naval power offshore?

Gen. James Mattis’ warning last month was unambiguous:

“Any attack on the United States or our allies will be defeated and any use of nuclear weapons would be met with a response that would be effective and overwhelming.”

JFK’s phrase in the Cuban crisis, “full retaliatory response,” comes to mind.

Hence the next move is up to Kim.

New tests by North Korea of missiles or atom bombs for an ICBM could bring U.S. strikes on its nuclear facilities and missile sites, igniting an attack on the South.

For China, this crisis, whether it leads to war, a U.S. buildup in the South, or a U.S. withdrawal from Korea, is problematic.

Beijing cannot sit by and let her North Korean ally be bombed, nor can it allow U.S. and South Korean forces to defeat the North, bring down the regime, and unite the peninsula, with U.S. and South Korean soldiers sitting on the Yalu, as they did in 1950 before Mao ordered his Chinese army into Korea.

However, should U.S. forces withdraw from the South, Seoul might build her own nuclear arsenal, followed by Japan. For Tokyo could not live with two Koreas possessing nukes, while she had none.

Valley won that hard-fought game, at least, they won it on the scoreboard…but elsewhere, they lost it big-time.

You see…it is something of a tradition at Valley High School, that when they play in the state tourney, their fans forego the school’s colors of black and orange, and instead wear red, white and blue as inspiration, cheering on their team to something greater than just a high school behind where the weathermen stands.

Tens of millions of we the people are fully aware America dodged the final nail in our coffin with the defeat of die-hard Marxist, Hildebeast Clinton. It's also full of lies, distortion and propaganda in the realm of what's called politics whether it be in this country or countries around the globe. The amount of all three is dished out daily on thousands of web sites is enough to drown anyone. Web sites that print nothing but theories without a single fact to back them up seem to attract far too many people who quite frankly, don't do any research themselves.

While I've been in the trenches going on 27 years full time, it wasn't until July 1998 that I put up my own web site. Prior to that it was faxes, newsletters and very expensive long distance phone bills (long before unlimited calling by phone providers) trying to get the world out about things like stopping NAFTA, trying to explain the problem with the unconstitutional, privately owned "Federal" Reserve, fiat currency and more. And, yes, the push towards a 'one world order' even though people laughed in my face.

I've spent an enormous amount of time on the Internet doing research, verifying, reading and of course, writing this weekly column. As I wrote back in January, my experience tells me which web sites I can and cannot trust and which ones provide not just commentary but in-depth exposure of the sinister individuals behind the curtain. NWVs writers are very careful about which web sites we link to verify and back up what's in our columns.

NWVs is just about ready to launch it's new web site - something computer folks know about called 'content based'. You can see it here --- not all the links are working yet as there were more than 19,000 files to get transferred over. It should be finished sometime in early April. All of this has cost a lot of money and as I say so often, a web site like NWVs has to be treated as a business or it won't survive. In the competitive world of commentary/news web sites one must stay up with technology or sink. The only exception here is that Paul Walter and his lovely wife do not get paid a salary or any other compensation. Only outside computer expertise.

I KNOW the commentaries and columns on this web site have made a big difference over the years. I wrote my first column here in 2002 and have watched things grow exponentially since then. The quality of writers is superb and they all donate their precious time to bring you the best in research, keeping all of us updated on the avalanche of 'stuff' going on as well as Sunday's featured clergy. Can't be beat.

NWVs writers give up their precious time while working (lawyers, bakers, educators, clergy, business owners) to make a difference by writing columns for NWVs. I know you appreciate them.

Yes, this is a request for donations. OUR beloved America, is at a very dangerous cross roads right now. The resistance by misguided Americans spoon-fed daily lies can only be countered by truth. The following recent article revealed that in a March 7, 2017 story by Dan Bilefsky, headlined ‘Hungary Approves Detention of Asylum Seekers in Guarded Camps,’ the New York Times reported that ‘Europe’s simmering backlash against immigration came into sharp relief recently when the Hungarian Parliament approved the detention of asylum seekers in guarded and enclosed camps on the country’s southern border, in what human rights advocates called a reckless breach of international law.’

It also revealed that, according to the Times, Prime Minister Viktor Orban justified the measure on the grounds that it would 'secure the European Union’s borders from migrants and act as a powerful deterrent against migration,' which he called the ‘Trojan horse of terrorism’ and that the Prime Minister was quoted as saying, ‘We are under siege.  The flood of migration has slowed down but has not stopped.  Laws apply to everyone.  This includes those migrants who want to cross Hungary’s border illegally.  This is the reality, which cannot be overruled by charming human rights nonsense.’

Additionally, it revealed that, unfortunately, it is ‘charming human rights nonsense’ that now informs immigration policy on the political left in the United States, just as it has in most Western European nations and that while ‘liberals and Democrats oppose any and all limitations on immigration from majority Muslim countries,’ supposedly in the apparent hope that ‘American Muslims will repay the favor by becoming a reliable Democratic voting bloc,’ even they express concern over the potential for isolated terror attacks in the near term.  What apparently escapes their attention is the clearly stated long term goal of Muslim migration: ‘the complete domination of Islam over all the nations of the world.’ Surprised?-You Decide:
