WITH YOUR SECOND CUP OF COFFEE
What does the stunning outcome of last week’s British election mean for America’s most important ally? Manhattan Institute’s Anthony Daniels (pen name, Theodore Dalrympleargues quite convincingly that the retention of incumbent Prime MinisterDavid Cameron is not a sign of Britons returning to their traditional political ways but is instead a harbinger of upheavals to come: “One of Britain’s prevailing assets has been its political stability. But that stability has evaporated, probably for good—with potentially disastrous results for its financial sector, upon which it so strongly (though foolishly) depends. Terrible political problems have been conjured out of nothing except the ambition of politicians, and the country’s deeper problems—its low productivity, its abysmal cultural and educational levels—remain not only unanswered, but unremarked.”  -Fox News

DEMS DRUB nOBAMA ON TRADE, SEXISM
Rebuked on his top trade priority, President nObama’s waning clout and sharp divide with his own party were laid bare Tuesday as Senate Democrats blocked consideration of the Pacific Trade deal. Despite White House downplaying the rejection as a “legislative snafu” the president – who considers the issue “personal” – will have to ratchet-up his arm-twisting to save the deal.  AP: “nObama went to work soon after the vote failed to revive the issue, summoning key Democrats to the White House to discuss possible strategies. Democrats said they had agreed to drop a contentious provision aimed at cracking down on countries that manipulate their currency, though it was uncertain that would resolve the impasse.”
[Yikes - “nObama advisers say the president sees Democratic opponents of his trade agenda as just as detached from reality as Republicans in Congress who held four dozen nObamacare repeal votes…,” Politico reports.]

nObama’s attack on Warren deemed sexist -   USA Today: “Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, chastised President nObama Tuesday for making the fight over trade legislation ‘more personal than he needed to.’ He was responding to a reporter’s question about comments nObama made dismissing Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., as another ‘politician’ and saying her criticisms of the trade deal were ‘absolutely wrong.’…[Brown] suggested nObama was being sexist by using Warren’s first name in the interview ‘when he might not have done that for a male senator.’”  -Fox News

nObama fights currency controls now -   WSJ: “Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and other lawmakers in the House and Senate say President Barack nObama and Republicans shouldn’t pass trade legislation needed to expedite an agreement spanning the Pacific without also allowing a vote on binding rules on currency manipulation. … The nObama administration has sought to deflect such binding rules, saying they risk souring trade talks or putting U.S. monetary policy under scrutiny.”
Buuut… - When he was running for president the first time, nObama highlighted the issue of currency manipulation and promised to take action and touted U.S. bargaining power. In an April 2008 speech to the Alliance for American Manufacturing, nObama  called then-President George W. Bush “a patsy” for the Chinese for not getting a currency manipulation deal.

Hilly hiding -  WaPo: “Clinton’s silence on trade, coming at the worst possible time for nObama, dovetails with her transformation into a presidential candidate eager to align herself more squarely with the liberal wing of her party. In other areas in which Clinton has moved to the left — such as immigration reform and gay marriage — White House aides have been delighted that she has forcefully embraced the president’s governing record. But on trade, Clinton’s hedge has left nObama without political cover in his increasingly bitter feud with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and other progressives, who have fiercely opposed the pact as a boondoggle for big business.”   -Fox News

 Hilly Clinton  no reaction.
Don’t ask - Want to ask Hilly about the trade vote? On that and a host of other issues, so would the press. The Democratic front runner has yet to do a formal sit down interview since announcing her candidacy on April 12 and media reports say the last time she answered a reporter question was April 21 in New Hampshire. Fox News puts the number of press questions Clinton has responded to since her campaign launch at 8, which translates to one response every three and a half days. What about Bubba? NBC reports that over the past month husband Bill has taken more than 30 questions over the course of the three interviews.

nObama Trashes America At UN, Inviting International Ridicule
(Norvell Rose) - When President nObama launched what critics widely called his “apology tour” shortly after his first inauguration, he made highly publicized speeches in a number of other countries in which he repeatedly pointed the finger of blame at the United States for its supposed past transgressions... For instance, he traveled to another country and chastised his own nation for having “shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” toward Europe. Now, once again, the president has shown he is more than willing to paint the U.S. in a very bad light. He has put his stamp of approval on a report from the State Department to the United Nations in which the administration cites what it claims are widespread human rights violations within the U.S. itself. Breitbart News notes that the alleged violations cited in the report to the U.N. Human Rights Council include a number of so-called abuses which many say nObama and his radical policies have caused or worsened:       http://www.westernjournalism.com/obama-has-just-thrown-his-own-country-under-the-bus-at-the-un-inviting-international-ridicule/?utm_source=MailChimp&utm_medium=email&utm_content=top-story&utm_campaign=DailyEmail05.13.15

Inspector General Said Hilly's Private Email Server Was A Concern
(Jeff Dunetz) - Buzzfeed obtained a series of e-mails from the Inspector General (IG) of the National Archives (NARA) where he voices surprise and concern about Hilly Clinton's use of her private email and server just days before the e-mail scandal broke in the NY Times... It's the National Archives that keeps all the employee emails for the federal government, so the IG should have known about the e-mail server because technically Hilly's emails were his to keep. What does this revelation mean?  On one level it means that Hilly Clinton was not transparent about her e-mails even within the confines of the nObama administration. It also means that the Clinton e-mail scandal is not going away anytime soon.       http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2015/05/national-archives-inspecter-general.html?utm_source=The+Lid+List&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=013b469e57-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_term=0_597b72c01c-013b469e57-291705165&goal=0_597b72c01c-013b469e57-291705165

nObama Subjects U.S. to Farcical U.N. ‘Human Rights’ Review
(Ari Lieberman) - The Geneva-based United Nations Human Rights Council has long been regarded by the sane world as a farcical organization consisting of the world’s worst human rights abusers... It is a place where nations like Saudi Arabia – which still implements oppressive Sharia laws, subjugates women and bans all religions except for Islam – sits in judgment of other nations and dictates to them ways in which to address human rights abuses. In metaphoric terms, it’s akin to the fox guarding the chicken coop. Driven by blind anti-Semitism and hatred for the “infidel Yahuds” who defile “holy Arab-Muslim soil,” Israel frequently and almost exclusively finds itself on the receiving end of the UNHRC’s hypocritical invective. Occasionally, however, the democracy stalwarts of the UNHRC will challenge the human rights records of other democracies. On Monday, the Council zeroed in on the United States and took great pleasure in needling the world’s greatest democracy.        http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/ari-lieberman/obama-subjects-u-s-to-farcical-u-n-human-rights-review/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=393cfe3aff-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-393cfe3aff-156509103

 CONGRESS WARNED 'CATASTROPHIC DANGER' LOOMING
(F. Michael Maloof) - The lack of a will among politicians in Washington to protect America’s future, and potentially the lives of millions of Americans, is the reason why there is no plan to secure America’s national grid system from an electromagnetic pulse attack, according to testimony delivered to Congress on Wednesday... Such an attack could come through nature, such as a massive solar flare that puts Earth in a bull’s-eye, but also could come through a nuclear explosion at altitude in the atmosphere above the U.S. Such an explosion would not necessarily have to be incredibly high-tech, experts have confirmed – simply a nuclear bomb that would produce those EMP waves that could kill much of America’s power grid.       http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/congress-warned-catastrophic-danger-looming/

nObama Threatens Veto Of Defense Bill If Congress Includes...
(rickwells.us) - nObama is warning that he will not stand idly by as reason and common sense are inserted into the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act... Insanity and irresponsibility must be allowed to continue to flow from the White House in matters related to military affairs. At issue are restrictions on the ability of nObama to release terrorists from Gitmo and close military bases as well as a provision which allows for direct arming of the Kurds and Sunni fighters in Iraq. Current “efforts” to provide the arms result in them being intercepted by the Iranian-influenced government arms filter in Baghdad. nObama has threatened a veto if the restrictions remain in place.        http://rickwells.us/obama-threatens-veto-of-defense-bill-if-congress-includes-restrictions-on-his-reckless-behavior/

The Evolving, Revolving Benghazi Story From Mike Morell and WH
(sharylattkisson.com) - Two and a half years after the Benghazi terrorist attacks, ex-CIA official Mike Morell and the White House continue with their litany of evolving and often conflicting explanations as to what happened and what went wrong... Not only do their statements today contradict ones they made previously, but at times they also contradict one another’s accounts. In an interview with Fox News‘ Brett Baier to promote his new book, Morell acknowledged what many documents and insiders have indicated from the start (but the White House and State Department vehemently denied): politics were in serious play when the administration mistakenly blamed a YouTube video rather than terrorists for the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks on the U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya. Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the assaults.        https://sharylattkisson.com/the-evolving-revolving-benghazi-story-from-mike-morell-and-white-house/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+SharylAttkisson+%28Sharyl+Attkisson%29

House Leadership to Ban Lawmakers from Amending Key Iran Bill
(Adam Kredo) - House leadership will not permit lawmakers to offer amendments aimed at strengthening a key piece of legislation that would provide Congress with oversight over any nuclear deal the nObama administration strikes with Iran, according to Rep. Ron DeSantis (R., Fla.)... DeSantis had been planning to offer several amendments to the legislation aimed at forcing Iran to disclose all of its nuclear-related work and provide international inspectors with access to all military sites. However, House leadership is planning to suspend normal rules and bring the bill to an immediate vote, preventing lawmakers such as DeSantis from altering the bill. http://freebeacon.com/national-security/house-leadership-to-ban-lawmakers-from-amending-key-iran-bill/

Congress Appropriated $4.2 Billion in Earmarks this Year
(Elizabeth Harrington) - Congress has appropriated over $4 billion earmarks this year despite a ban on pork barrel spending, Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) announced on Wednesday... The group unveiled the 23rd edition of itsPig Book at the Phoenix Park Hotel near Capitol Hill, revealing millions in earmarks for “fish passage,” “embryo adoption awareness,” and abstinence education. “The 2015 Pig Book continues to prove that any earmark is a bad earmark,” CAGW president Tom Schatz said. “At a time when members of Congress from both sides of the aisle and both sides of the Capitol continue to call for a restoration of earmarks, taxpayers should deliver a loud and clear message that it is time for earmarks to be permanently banned.”       http://freebeacon.com/issues/congress-appropriated-4-2-billion-earmarks-this-year/

Could This Be Why Boeing Refuses to Hand Over Hilly Emails?
(Steven Ahle) - Recently a stockholder asked the CEO of Boeing to turn over all emails between the company and Hilly Clinton. Boeing refused. New facts coming out may explain why... In a previous story, I outlined how a multinational deal got Algeria relief from human rights abuses while Boeing got a 3.7 million dollar contract from Russia, which Clinton lobbied for. Soon thereafter, Boeing contributed 900,000 dollars to the Clinton Foundation. It seems the payoffs did not end there. After the deal with Russia was complete, Boeing hired Bill Clinton to deliver a speech to their employees for $250,000. Both Boeing and the Clinton Foundation deny that there was a quid pro quo involved. At this point, let me ask all of you a question. Where is the benefit that equals the $250,000 dollar speech or the up to $550,000 for speeches given by Hilly and Bill? Are they such great speakers that these companies benefit from these events? Or have these speaking events become a way to transfer money to a politician for access and help in future or past business dealings? After all, the CEOs who authorize these expenditures must answer to the stockholders.        http://redstatements.co/could-this-be-why-boeing-refuses-to-hand-over-hillary-emails-the-corruption-chronicles/

Top Two ISIS Leaders Paralyzed, Dead – Gen Paul Vallely Weighs In
(rickwells.us) - J.D. Hayworth questions General Paul Vallely as to the validity of claims that the toptwo leaders in ISIS have been taken out of the fight... Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, was reportedly injured in a U.S. airstrike while traveling in a car in Baaj, a town in northwestern Iraq, on March 18th. He is reportedly barely able to move, with spinal injuries and may have been permanently disabled and removed from the battlefield. His second in command, Abu Alaa al-Afri, a former physics teacher from Mosul, was elevated to the leader temporarily as a result of the injuries to al-Baghdadi. Reports are now circulating that al-Afri was killed along with many of his fellow terrorists while holding a meeting at a mosque in Iraq’s northern Tal Afar province.        http://rickwells.us/top-two-isis-leaders-paralyzed-dead-gen-paul-vallely-weighs-in-warns-against-iranian-threat/

nObama's Middle East Debacle
Alan Caruba

Cartoon%2B-%2BObama%2BNo%2BIslamic%2BThreat.jpg
.
(factsnotfantasy.blogspot.com) - I had to laugh when I heard that the new King of Saudi Arabia, Salmon, told the White House he wasn’t going to attend Thursday’s photo-op get together of Arab leaders. Some lesser Saudi officials will attend. The message is clear enough, so long as nObama continues to make nice with Iran, the center of the problems in the Middle East, the Saudis and the others are going to be wary of any proposal that comes out of the White House.
.

As far as the Middle East is concerned, nObama seems to have no idea of the history or the dynamics that affect all the actions there. His Secretary of State, hanoi Kerry, is no better. He met with Arab officials last Friday and they told him they want a defense treaty in the event they were attacked by “external forces”, something that the Congress will not approve so long as nObama is in the White House.
.

One would think that any President at this point would have concluded that the Palestinians have no intention of signing onto a peace treaty with the Israelis.
.

Writing in The New York Times on May 8, Jonathan Schanzer, vice president of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, put it bluntly, “It doesn’t matter what these politicians think now or have said in in the past. Peace between Israel and the Palestinians is not happening in the next two years.” That’s how long we all have to wait until nObama leaves office.
.

David P.Goldman, a Senior Fellow of the Middle East Forum, writing in Asia Times Online on May 10, spelled it out. “It is inconvenient for diplomats to say so, but the Palestinian Authority collapsed quite some time ago,” noting that “President Mahmoud Abbas’ term in office began in 2005 and ended six years ago, and he has not called new elections for the simple reason that Hamas—the Palestinian branch of the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood—would win those elections.” These days the Egyptians label Hamas a terrorist organization and have taken steps to eliminate the Brotherhood. At least they know who the enemy is.
.

nObama has been antagonistic to Israel from before he was elected and has made little effort to hide it. Consider this, as Goldman notes, “Hamas fired over 4,000 rockets at Israel in 2014, prompting Israeli counter strikes during the summer.” Its declared intention and the reason for its existence is to eliminate the State of Israel. Why are we surprised to hear that nObama wants to take the statehood issue to the United Nations, a hotbed of anti-Semitism, and has little to say of the Palestinian Authority’s assertion that it wants to drag Israel in front of the International Criminal Court for having defended itself against the attacks by Hamas!
.

Not only has the Saudi King sent nObama a message, but so did the Israelis when they overwhelmingly reelected Benjamin Netanyahu as their Prime Minister. “The Israelis look around the Middle East and see nothing but conflict, carnage, instability and danger,” said Schanzer. “The nObama doctrine—which includes a deliberate contraction of American power in the Middle East—has undeniably made Israel less safe.”
.

It has made the U.S. and the world less safe too.
.

One of the most obscene aspects of the nObama obsession with Iran is that, in return for any deal—which Iran would ignore and cheat—they are ready “to provide as much as $120 billion in sanctions relief to satisfy the narrow technical parameters of a nuclear deal, which would legitimize Iran as a threshold nuclear state. These funds,” said Schanzer, “will flow to Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other Iran terror proxies dedicated to Israel’s demise.”
.

To put all this in perspective, as Goldman reminds us, “From Israel’s standpoint, the Palestinian Authority was offered 95% of Judea and Samaria in return for a final peace agreement, and both times (at Camp David in 1999 under Ehud Barack and in 2008 under Ehud Olmert) the offer was rejected.”
.

“The U.N. Security Council,” said Goldman, “will punish Israel for the failure of negotiations that were meaningless to begin with, and establish a Hamas-controlled state within nine miles of the Mediterranean coast. Iran has already promised to arm West Bank Arabs, just as it armed Hezbollah and Hamas.”
.

Israel which has enjoyed the support of the United States since it declared its independence in 1948 is now put at risk by the first administration to deliberately turn its back on it in preference for a deal with the leading terror-sponsor, Iran, in the Middle East.
.

You cannot make a greater mess of the mess that already exists in the Middle East, but nObama is doing his best to add to it. What else should we expect from a President who refuses to utter words like “Islamic terrorism”?
.

Brady Deflates, Hillary Skates

That the standards of transparency are seemingly higher for an NFL Super Bowl quarterback than for a former Secretary of State and presidential wannabe does not bode well for our republic nor speak well of the state of the so-called mainstream media. But the double standards regarding media treatment of Tom Brady versus Hillary Clinton are many and troubling.

We should all be asking ourselves just why there is more concern and angst over Tom Brady’s use of slightly deflated footballs to get a better grip and improve his chances of winning a football game than regarding Hillary Clinton’s use of private email accounts on a private server and her deleting of 30,000 emails to improve her chances of winning the White House in 2016.

LUCKY RUBIO GETS PERFECT TIMING FOR FOREIGN POLICY  PLAN
It may be better to be lucky than good, but if you want to be president, you’d better be both. Marco Rubio demonstrates again today that he may be the luckiest politician since Barack nObama. Rubio has had his big speech today in New York to the Council on Foreign Relations on the books since long before Jeb Bush fell into trouble on the Iraq war. But as it happens, Rubio gets the biggest possible stage for an appeal to the foreign policy establishment at exactly the moment those folks are thinking more about the prospect of Republicans nominating a third Bush. Hawks like Charles Krauthammer and others have long been intrigued by Rubio and now he has the moment for the message that they long to hear. Like when Hilly Clinton raised the juxta positional value and lessened the scrutiny of Rubio’s presidential announcement, the guy is just plain lucky.
The advance text from Rubio’s big speech shows him to be every bit in the mold of George W. Bush on the war with Islamist militants but without the baggage of the last name. While Jeb Bush campaigns in Nevada today he will have another chance to tidy up his misunderstanding of Megyn Kelly’s “knowing what we know now” question about Iraq. It instantly became a litmus test question for the entire GOP field. But for Rubio is starting from Jump Street. He was a 31-year-old freshman in the Florida House when the U.S. Senate was wrangling with the Iraq war authorization. As Eliana Johnson explains, it’s been quite a journey since Rubio went from Huckabee-backing foreign policy neophyte to a favorite of the hardline foreign policy establishment.
The question now is whether Rubio is good as well as lucky. The GOP establishment was reminded again this week of why they have misgivings about Bush. He was top-drawer in the interview, but as his slip showed, he has almost no room for error, especially on the issue central to his chances. But as Rubio continues to rise, so will the scrutiny on his record and his finances. The NYT’s scalpel work on Rubio this weekend was only an initial incision. But in this moment, as Jeb is trying to get bestride his horse, Rubio’s opening looks bigger than ever.  -Fox News

‘Clinton Cash’ author moving ahead on Jeb probe -   Peter Schweizer shed some light on his previous statement that he was exploring Jeb Bush’s finances in the same way he has shredded the Clintons on their post-presidential buckraking. Schweizer told radio host Hugh Hewitt that his research is underway and he expects to know by mid-September whether there’s enough evidence to build as case against Bush. “And look, we are in the middle of the investigation. I would tell you that if there was nothing there, we would have stopped the investigation,” Schweizer said. “I think we’re finding some interesting, compelling things. But I don’t want to create the impression that we have decided that we know what we’ve found.”   -Fox News

 NEVADA CLOSE TO DUMPING CAUCUS
Reno Gazette-Journal: “Nevada's caucus system for presidential nominees is on shaky ground after senators approved a measure seeking to replace it with a primary election. Senators voted 11-9 on Tuesday to approve SB421, with Democrats opposing. The measure now moves to the Assembly. The bill would preserve Nevada's influential position as one of the earliest states to nominate a presidential candidate. But it would change the selection process from a gathering of only the most motivated party activists to a regular election among all voters.”

CRUZ TOPS MOST CONSERVATIVE SENATORS LIST
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, along with fellow Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, take the top spots in the American Conservative Union’s annual congressional rankings both at 100 percent support of conservative positions. The list bases candidates on issues the ACU supports and doesn’t support, and also gives points for those who announce they are in favor of an ACU position. Other top senators on the list include Republican presidential contenders Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Rand Paul, R-Ky., both at 96 percent staying steady from last year’s ranking. Potential Republican contender Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., didn’t fare so well at 74 percent, but showed improvement from last year’s spot at 68 percent.

Gay hoteliers find repudiating Cruz insufficient for critics Remember the hotel tycoons who hosted the dinner for Ted Cruz a few weeks ago? Well, the gay community does. Mati Weiderpass, one of the hosts, wrote an op-ed in the Observer on the harsh reaction he’s received from the gay community. He writes, “It is amazing that my businesses are being boycotted by some because I hosted a discussion with an elected official. Not a fundraiser. Not an endorsement. A dialogue.”
“I think it is important for someone to stand by what they believe. And you know what I’ve tried to do in the Senate has been really simple, it’s been tell the truth…if I’m with you, I’m really with you, if I'm not with you, I’m not  with you.  The Catholic Church Has Gone Socialist
(Cliff Kincaid) - Since we published our article, “Catholic Church Captured by ‘Progressive Forces,’” it is starting to dawn on many in and out of the media that Pope Francis has come down on the side of the “progressive,” and even Marxist, forces in the world today... Writing at the Blaze.com and commenting on the pope’s friendly meeting with Cuban dictator Raul Castro, Catholic writer Stephen Herreid of the Intercollegiate Review called the pope’s dealings with Castro and other Marxists “a new Catholic scandal” as significant and terrifying as the presence of pedophiles in the church. He wondershow conservative Catholics can continue to pay respect to a pope “intent on making friends with the enemies of religious liberty.”        http://www.aim.org/aim-column/the-catholic-church-has-gone-socialist/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email051315&utm_medium=email

(judicialwatch.org) - When the U.S. State Department was presented with hard evidence identifying Boko Haram as a growing terrorist threat in Nigeria, the agency failed to take action for several years. Why the delay despite the evidence?... That’s a fair question for former Secretary of State Hilly Clinton since she headed the agency at the time and is now seeking the Democratic nomination for president. Boko Haram is the same group that kidnapped over 200 female students from Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria just over a year ago. Clinton, the self-described champion of women’s rights, was first presented with reports highlighting Boko Haram’s aggressive posture back in 2010. Yet, the State Department did not officially designate the group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) until December 2013.  During that time, Boko Haram gained significant footing at the expense of vulnerable populations. Was a Nigerian land developer, who has donated large sums to the Clinton Foundation, a factor in delaying Boko Haram’s FTO designation? U.S. Senator David Vitter is exploring this possibility by examining the relationship between the Clintons and the developer, Gilbert Chagoury. His background is checkered to say the least. Chagoury plead guilty in British court to bribery, but avoided prison by returning portions of the money involved in his scheme. He also obtained immunity from prosecution in a looted assets case in Nigeria in exchange for returning money held in Swiss bank accounts. A list of all Clinton Foundation donations that includes Chagoury is available here. He has contributed about $5 million to the Foundation in recent years, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal that details Chagoury’s long and complicated relationship with the Clintons.       http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2015/05/did-clinton-foundation-donor-get-hillary-to-delay-boko-haram-terror-designation/?utm_source=SilverpopMailing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Judicial%20Watch%20Tipsheet%20(9)&utm_content=

Chinese ballistic missiles can target nearly the entirety of the US
(Jeremy Bender) - Thank you, Bill Clinton. China now has dozens of nuclear-capable missiles that could target almost the entirety of the US, according to the Department of Defense's 2015 report on the Chinese military... The annual report to Congress focuses on China's military modernization, possible invasion plans for the self-governing and US-allied island of Taiwan, advances in space technology, and Beijing's rapidly advancing missile capabilities. China's conventional capabilities are improving. But Beijing also now has what could be considered the ultimate military asset for a rising superpower: the ability to deliver nuclear warheads nearly anywhere on earth (outside of South America, at least).       http://finance.yahoo.com/news/pentagon-report-chinese-ballistic-missiles-210039631.html

hanoi Kerry Tells The UN Why America Is Home To Genghis Khan
(rickwells.us) - In spite of his position as US Secretary of State, hanoi John Kerry, who infamously described Americans as barbarous, murderous butchers who “razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan” in testimony before a Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has not changed his America-hating stripes... Just as is his “president,” hanoi Kerry is still doing his best to degrade and diminish America’s reputation around the globe, in keeping with his Marxist views and destructive, anti-American political mandates. The State Department has long been the target of infiltration and manipulation by world government Marxists within the United States government and a report they authored, which was released on Monday as part of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) at the UN Human Rights Council, shows the degree to which those influences exert control over that agency today.        http://rickwells.us/john-kerry-tells-the-un-human-rights-council-why-america-is-still-the-home-to-genghis-khan/

RINO Corp Concubine McCon-nell Vows To Continue Secret TPP
(rickwells.us) - Those who claim the Republican Party is the party of big business just had their case made much stronger by the RINO establishment corporate shills that brazenly represent their well-heeled sponsors in opposition to the wishes and the best interests of the American people... Chief among the sludge that is floating at the top of the Republican cesspool are Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell (R-KY), backstabber John Cornyn (R-TX) and Orrin Hatch (R-UT), who proves that Mormons are just as susceptible to the corruption of politics and power as anyone else. McCon-nell is upset that Democrats, in what conservatives would have thought the most unlikely of scenarios, voted with the American people and in opposition to his sovereignty and economic suicide pact that is the TPP. He and his fellow traitors to America in the GOP did their part, gathering enough sellouts to vote in lockstep to push a nation-changing bill having never laid eyes upon it.       http://rickwells.us/rino-corporate-concubin

This FCC Commissioner Dared To Defy nObama
(gopthedailydose.com) - Recently, President nObama’s Federal Communications Commission drafted new “net neutrality” rules that blatantly defy the first amendment and effectively allow nObama to take over the internet... FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai has been outspoken about his dislike for the new rules, which would impose numerous rules, regulations, fees and fines on the internet as it treats it like other “utilities.” While Pai’s response to nObama’s internet takeover has earned him the respect and praise of conservatives everywhere, it has also caused the lynch-mob that is the nObama supporters to sharpen their pitchforks and come at him with threats to his life.        http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/12/this-fcc-commissioner-dared-to-defy-obama-then-something-despicable-happened-to-him/

Strong push to yank judge from Sheriff Joe case
(Bob Unruh) - A federal judge is being asked to remove himself from a racial-profiling case against Sheriff Joe Arpaio because of “unethical misconduct and a conflict of interest”... after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday refused to take the extraordinary step of intervening and ordering his removal. The appellate judges had been asked by a whistleblower who was drawn into the case to step in and remove the “runaway jurist.” But the case was returned to Judge G. Murray Snow’s court, where he is facing accusations that his wife blurted out in his own courtroom his intention to bring down Arpaio.       http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/strong-push-to-yank-judge-from-sheriff-joe-case/

A Turkish-Saudi Military Offensive in Syria?
(Burak Bekdil) - On June 22, 2012, a Turkish RF-4E military reconnaissance aircraft took off from an air base in eastern Turkey. It flew at low altitude, as most spy planes do... and violated Syrian airspace before it was hit -- most likely -- by a missile fired from a Syrian- or Russian-operated air defense system. Two Turkish pilots were killed. Their bodies were later recovered from the Mediterranean Sea with help from a US ship. Turkey was all rage. Turkey's then-prime minister (now president), Recep Tayyip Erdogan, vowed revenge. The Turks claimed their aircraft was flying on a training mission. It was most likely flying on a mission to spy on air defense systems in Syria. Lately, there have been reports that Sunni regional allies Turkey and Saudi Arabia have been planning a joint military offensive against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime in Damascus, aNusayri Alawi nemesis for both Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The reports claimed that the planned operation would involve both ground troops and air strikes.       http://www.meforum.org/5237/a-turkish-saudi-military-offensive-in-syria

(George Rasley) - Since between 2000 and 2013 (the last year for which statistics are available) some 2,338,013 legal immigrants arrived in America from Muslim countries... Why does America need over 2.3 million Muslim immigrants? What is the benefit to America? Moreover, what are the risks? Which government agency is vetting who arrives, who gets to stay and who qualifies for US citizenship? And perhaps of greater importance than the question “why should we allow them to come here?” is “what is being done to assimilate them?” And the answer during the nObama years has been not much.       http://www.conservativehq.com/article/19532-importing-jihad-23-million-muslim-immigrants-america

You're on the Front Line of the Islamic War
 Alan Caruba
.
AA%2B%2B-%2BPamela%2BGeller.jpg
.
(factsnotfantasy.blogspot.com) - Does anyone remember what happened on September 11, 2001? Or is it just “ancient history” at this point? Some three thousand totally innocent Americans were murdered by a sneak attack on the Twin Towers in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Who did it? The same murderous Islamists who attacked an event in Garland, Texas to focus attention on the insanity that passes for one of the world’s great “religions.”
.
Islam is not a religion. It is a cult around the so-called prophet Mohammad and his assertion that the Koran was the word of Allah. The name Islam means “submission” and the purpose of Islam is the tyrannical control over the entire world’s population. Within this alleged holy faith, two sects, Shiites and Sunnis, have been at war almost from its inception, never failing to kill one another.
.
The turmoil in the Middle East is the direct result of this murderous cult and those Muslims who oppose the killing that flows from Islam must keep their silence or become its victims. Jews and Christians can speak out and debate about aspects of their faiths, but Muslim risk death when they do so. For those Jews in Christians living in Middle Eastern nations, death is always a prospect for no other reason than not being Muslim.
.
Americans have not yet fully embraced the fact that they are on the front lines along with other Western nations in a global war with Islam.
.
Will it take another 9/11? Surely the recent attack by two Islamists on May 3rd in Garland, Texas, was another wake up call. They arrived intent on killing as many of those attending the American Freedom Defense Initiative event. A Garland police officer killed both before anyone had to die in the name of the Bill of Rights.
.
But why Garland, Texas? Because, as my friend Amil Imani noted in a recent commentary, “The venue was chosen as a defiant response to a Muslim group that had held a conference entitled ‘Stand With the Prophet Against Terror and Hate.”’ Ironic, eh? Their response to the event that invited cartoons of Muhammed as to want to kill the participants. If that is not war, I do not know what is.
.
If Muslims feel hatred, they have earned it here in the United States and elsewhere they have attacked any criticism or defiance, from Charlie Hebdo in France to the countless attacks around the world from Mumbai, India to Bali. A website, the Religion of Peace, com, posts news of the daily assaults by Muslim on both other Muslims and those they call “infidels”, unbelievers.
.
Pamela Geller who leads the American Freedom Defense Initiative has been widely assailed for her event that was intended to respond to the earlier one in Garland that Amil Amani noted “was convened to eliminate free speech or any expression, verbal and/or artwork depicting the Islamic prophet Mohammad in a negative light.”
.
“As a life-long expert on the subject of Islam, I felt that this event—more than anything else Pamela could have done—would be the target of a violence terrorist attack in the name of the religion of peace, either real and explosive or on social media at the very least.” It was real.
.
The Garland police were taking it seriously. Amani said “I was astonished at the large police presence already there. Some of the cops were dressed in tactical gear and carrying AR-15s. The security was ubiquitous, almost as if something untoward had already happened.”
.
Speaking in an interview with Sean Hannity on May 6, Geller noted that neither the FBI nor the Department of Homeland Security has yet to have contacted her about the thwarted attack. “This is a serious threat” said Hannity. “Basically a Fatwah, a death threat, has now been issued.” Geller noted the lack of interest or concern expressed by those in our government one might expect to at the least make an inquiry, adding that “I have a team now, private security, and NYPD counter terror has been in touch with me.”
.
Now I call that a level of courage for which Pamela Geller should be praised, but I heard too many criticisms that she was being “provocative.”
.
“Provocative”?????
.
When are Americans going to realize that the Islamists do not need any provocation? When are we going to start acting like we are at war? A good first step would be to stop inviting Muslims to immigrate to America. The nObama administration has been importing as many as possible. The next step is to understand that it is nObama and his administration that are part of the Islamic war.
.
It is the Pamela Geller’s that are crying out to us. We need to listen. We need to support them. We need to arm ourselves if we have not done so already. Then we need to secure “concealed carry” laws in every State of the Union. We are at war.

Democrats Exploit Train Wreck to Derail Republicans

Regarding the Philadelphia train crash, the blood of the seven dead was not dry on the tracks before Democrats attempted to convert this tragedy into political capital. Congress was deliberating Amtrak funding and, in keeping with Rahm Emmanuel’s maxim to “never let a good crisis go to waste,” Democrats immediately asserted that the crash was related to an “infrastructure failure.” Obama’s White House mouthpiece Josh Earnest got in on the act, saying, “The president has been a leading advocate … for investing in our infrastructure.” He added, “Unfortunately, we have seen a concerted effort by Republicans for partisan reasons to step in front of those kinds of advancements.” According to investigators, the train was traveling over 100 mph, or twice the posted track speed. Notably, this was very similar to the crash in Spain last year, when another train was traveling into a leftward turn at twice the posted track speed. Fortunately, Republicans have not (yet) bowed to Demo tactics, and Amtrak, which is as inefficient and bankrupt as the Post Office, has not yet received even more taxpayer funds. Isn’t $1 billion a year enough?

Congress Takes NSA Hot Potato

The NSA’s mass metadata collection efforts have come to a head. Last week, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the program violated the Patriot Act, despite the NSA claiming Section 215 authorized it. Indeed, Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), primary author of the original Patriot Act, said, “That program is illegal and based on a blatant misinterpretation of the law.” But the law is up for renewal by June 1, so Congress has to act. The House on Wednesday voted 338-88 to pass the USA Freedom Act, which specifically ends bulk data collection. That sets up a fight with the Senate, where Republicans are more eager to actually authorize the NSA’s phone metadata program. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell warned the House bill would put undue limits on intelligence collection and said the Senate won’t vote on it. House Speaker John Boehner promised not to let the Patriot Act expire because it’s “critically important to keep Americans safe.” But the fundamental debate is how much power the government needs to do that. How much Liberty do we give up for security?

UVA Dean Sues Rolling Stone Over Rape Story

It’s devilishly hard for someone in America to successfully sue a publication for libel. Not only does the plaintiff have to convince the court that what was published was false and caused harm, but the plaintiff also has to prove that the publication acted with malicious intent. In response to Rolling Stone’s grossly irresponsible false report on a supposed rape on the University of Virginia campus, the college’s Associate Dean of Students Nicole Eramo filed a $7.5 million suit against the magazine and the author of the story, Sabrina Rubin Erdely. Based on the complaint, it appears Eramo has a case. She alleges Erdely never attempted to get documents that would have disproven “Jackie’s” story. And the reporter hid her work by using pseudonyms to describe people in the story she didn’t talk to and dismissed concerns by a Rolling Stone copy editor who wondered why Erdely didn’t talk to the accused. The complaint alleges even Jackie was uncomfortable with how the magazine portrayed Eramo. But Erdely was trying to fit this story into a template, the one she used in the past when writing about rape — a template that produced several factually challenged stories. As Jonah Goldberg wrote last month, journalistic ethics are “all based on a very simple rule: Tell the truth.” More…

FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

The Left’s Twisted Concern for Premature Black (Voter) Deaths

By Nate Jackson

2015-05-14-047bdbe1_large.jpg

“Blacks die sooner than whites. How many votes has this cost Democrats?” So headlined The Washington Post over the weekend. It’s not so much that black lives matter, you see, as blackvotes matter to Democrat politicians.

Writing in the Post, University of Massachusetts at Amherst Professor Dean Robinson takes a look at the research of Javier Rodriguez, Arline Geronimus, John Bound and Danny Dorling, four university professors who attempt to calculate how different election outcomes might have been if the voting-age blacks who died between 1970 and 2004 had lived and voted (Democrat).

According to Robinson, “Rodriguez and colleagues estimate that excess deaths among blacks totaled 2.7 million between 1970 and 2004, that 1.74 million would have been of voting age, and that 1 million would have voted in the 2004 election. Combining excess mortality with the consequences of felon disenfranchisement, they find that about 1 in 7 blacks (15 percent) did not have the opportunity to vote in 2004 for one of these two reasons.”

While the study authors conclude the 2004 presidential election would not have turned out different, they assert the “[o]utcomes of 7 senate and 11 gubernatorial races could have been reversed.”

Then Robinson lays out the familiar narrative about racial inequality. “Research has shown that blacks are not dying in excess because of differences in genetic endowment or health behavior,” he says. “Instead, health disparities reflect racial and class inequality and an accumulation of stressors, including segregation, discrimination, exposure to pollution and unequal access to health-care resources, to name a few.”

He didn’t get into the disparity in incarceration rates, but that’s been a bugaboo of the Left for years, too. Never mind that blacks commit crime at a rate far higher than other races, and that the overwhelming majority of crime is intra-racial, not interracial.

We certainly would not argue that there hasn’t been any racial inequality. Slavery was a horrific thing, and, ever since its end, the nation has endured 150 years of racial discrimination and bitterness.

But blacks have been a monolithic voting bloc for Democrats — the party of slavery and Jim Crow, by the way — for half a century. Particularly in cities like Baltimore, Chicago and Ferguson, to pick three at random, Democrats have been running the show for at least that long. And blacks in those cities remain mired in failing schools, poor housing and low-wage jobs.

Might there be not just correlation but causation?

Yet according to Political Research Quarterly, “Historical legacies provide deeply rooted ties between blacks and the Democratic Party. These ties may simply render it impossible for Republicans — black or otherwise — to move public opinion or mobilize among blacks.” Translation: Blacks aren’t going to vote GOP any time soon, no matter what.

Robinson concludes, “The tragic deaths of unarmed black men have again generated conversations about racial inequality in the United States.”

He neglects, of course, the thousands of tragic deaths of armed black men at the hands of other armed black men through gang violence in inner cities. This social breakdown and family collapse is largely the result of subsidizing fatherlessness through the Democrats' “Great Society,” which left blacks enslaved on urban poverty plantations.

Nor did Robinson mention that 37% of aborted babies are black. If blacks, at 12% of the population, accounted for a similar percentage of all abortions since Roe v. Wade in 1973 — not even as far back as the researchers go — that’s roughly 21 million people who never had a chance at life, never mind voting. Yet abortion is a sacred plank of the Democrat platform.

Do black lives matter only when taken by police officers?

The ugly truth is that Democrats need blacks to win elections, and this demographic decline is worrisome to leftist politicos. Perhaps that’s why they seek to flood the country with immigrants.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Tony Perkins: “This President is accusing the church — the most effective social outreach program in the history of America — of ignoring the poor to fight a war on social issues that, oh by the way, he started? That’s not only ignorant of the church’s activities — it’s insulting. The religious community hasn’t ignored the poor. On the contrary, there’s no more generous segment of society than Christian conservatives and the ministries that their giving makes possible. … If the President cares more about poverty than his social agenda, why did he sacrifice a program for thousands of sex trafficking victims on the altar of his radical abortion policy? Or make allegiance to same-sex ‘marriage’ a condition of nonprofits' tax exemption? In the hostile environment created by this administration, Christians are spending precious time defending their faith, when they could be putting it in practice. Frankly, we’d love to focus on strengthening families and ending poverty — but the President won’t lay down his weapons of sexual radicalism long enough for us to try.”

SHORT CUTS

On this date in history: The State of Israel is formally recognized in 1948.

Upright: “If all whites tomorrow were to move to Canada and Europe, tell me how it would affect the black on black crime rate, how would it affect the out-of-wedlock births, how would it affect the spread of AIDS. How would it affect those issues? What I’m saying to Black America [is that] we must stop victimization. We must stop complaining about what white folks have done to us in the past. … There’s nothing more lethal than a good excuse for failure — institutional racism, whatever that means.” —Center for Neighborhood Enterprise President Robert Woodson

Dezinformatsia: “The shock and tragedy of what happened in Philadelphia made a long-standing battle over Amtrak funding more raw and emotional. … Democrats had asked for $2.5 billion, Republicans actually approved a cut to $1.1 billion.” —NBC’s Kelly O'Donnell (“Maybe if the train had been weighed down with big piles of taxpayer money, it wouldn’t have been able to go so fast…” —National Review’s Jim Geraghty)

Non Compos Mentis: “The only one to fix the infrastructure of our country is me — roads, airports, bridges. I know how to build, pols only know how to talk! … TRAIN WRECK just the beginning. Our roads, airports, tunnels, bridges, electric grid — all falling apart. I can fix for 20% of pols, & better.” —Donald Trump on Twitter

Race bait: “If police were being killed with any type of routine sanction by the system or, worse off, being killed by the system, asking why people aren’t protesting their deaths would be an entirely fair and morally urgent question. But, of course, they’re not."—Adam Johnson in a Salon article titled, "Dear Facebook ‘friends’: No, we shouldn’t protest when police are killed”

And last… “Obama’s solution for the Baltimore rioters: ‘making investments so they can get the training they need to find jobs.’ Yes. For example, training them not to loot the businesses where the jobs are.” —Fred Thompson

The Trouble With the NSA's Haystack
Terrorism has again become one of the foremost concerns for Americans today. People are generally worried about the increased jihadi threat and look to government to ensure safety and security. While the Constitution certainly empowers the federal government to provide for the common defense of our nation, including counterterrorism measures, what it should not do is infringe on the rights of American citizens — specifically, the Fourth Amendment.
Last week, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the National Security Agency’s massive telephone metadata collection efforts are not authorized by the Patriot Act. However, the court did not rule the NSA’s actions are unconstitutional and it did not issue an order for the NSA to stop its data collection because the Patriot Act's Section 215, which the NSA cites as its authority, is set to expire June 1. In other words, Congress must act soon anyway, and a vote is expected by May 22.
That the NSA is collecting phone records on all Americans may not seem terribly important — especially the more the public becomes accustomed to the idea — but it's a critical issue. Like so many other things during this administration's tenure, it pertains to the very real potential, if not actual, abuse of power.  -The Patriot Post

Like it or not, Barack nObama's trade deal is needed if the U.S. is going to maintain influence in the Pacific Rim as a counterweight to China. But the community organizer in chief can't even muster the support of his own party. nObama attacked Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who opposes the Trans-Pacific Partnership, saying she's wrong on the matter. The Wall Street Journal says nObama's polarization tactics worked better when there was a Democrat majority in Congress. Now that the playing field has changed, he's attacking his own party. As a result, Democrat lawmakers voted against their president Tuesday, refusing to fast-track the trade legislation.
Without the up-down, yes-no vote, the nObama administration has a more challenging task. Charles Krauthammer opined, "It would help if when the president says [Warren] is dead wrong, he would actually make a case to explain why, rather than say, 'I would never sign a deal that's not good for working Americans. Trust me.' That's what he does with Iran, that's what he does with everything. ... [O]n this, acting in the national interest as president, he knows that in the end free trade is a good idea. And this agreement, in particular, is extremely important geopolitically as a way to hold our Pacific Rim allies, who will be cut loose and will enter into China's orbit if we don't." But nObama is such a narcissist, he can't help but demean his own party. If that keeps up, then the last two years will quickly become a lame-duck presidency. More...  -The Patriot Post

How Hilly's State Dept. Cleared Bill's Speeches
"I gotta pay our bills," Bill Clinton said recently when explaining his exorbitant speaking fees. Well, the Associated Press reports on the State Department's enabling of Bill's gravy train: "State Department officials gave speedy and sometimes only cursory consideration to potential conflicts of interest when approving former President Bill Clinton's lucrative speeches to global companies and foreign governments during Hilly Rodham Clinton's tenure as secretary of state. ... Again and again, the ethics office responsible for vetting his appearances hurriedly signed off on them, even in cases where questions had been raised about the behavior of organizations hiring Bill Clinton to appear. It approved at least 330 requests for the former president's appearance at speeches, dinners and events. More than 220 of those were paid events that earned the family nearly $50 million [emphasis added]
One example was a speech to Barclays, the British bank that soon thereafter was fined $300 million for violating financial sanctions against Burma, Cuba, Iran, Libya and Sudan. And then there was the time Bill spoke to British-based HSBC, under investigation for — get this — money laundering. It's no stretch to conclude that Hilly Clinton wasn't about to use her authority at State to block Bill's payday. They were "dead broke," she told us, and that money was helping them just get by. -The Patriot Post

Military Paid NFL to Honor the Troops
From 2011 to 2014, the Department of Defense paid 14 NFL teams $5.4 million to honor soldiers during games. That's right: What we thought was a genuine display of patriotism, like Hometown Hero, only came about because the NFL (formerly a "nonprofit" — pfft) wanted more money and the U.S. military wanted advertisement. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who first drew attention to the practice, said, "They realize the public believes they're doing it as a public service or a sense of patriotism. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth." While the NFL is contemptible for trading salutes for cash, the U.S. military also shoulders some of the blame for manipulating special moments into theater to gain more recruits. What do the soldiers, some with injuries from war, who walked out onto the field in front of thousands think of the fact that they were used as pawns in a marketing campaign that earned a sports franchise millions?
Meanwhile, Sen. dinky Harry Reid has bigger fish to fry. He took to the Senate floor to complain about the suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for knowing about improperly inflated footballs. "I find it stunning that the National Football League is more concerned about how much air is in a football than with a racist franchise name that denigrates Native Americans across the country." If dinky Reid were serious about his political charade, he'd just pay the Washington Redskins to change their name. With all this nonsense, maybe it's time for the nation to return to America's pastime — baseball.  More...   The Patriot Post

 Social Insecurity: The Looming Crisis
For years, actuaries, financial analysts and policy wonks have warned that Social Security is doomed to crash. Contrary to rosy predictions a decade ago that this popular government program has a funded lifetime of 33 more years and won’t sink into the red until 2017, Social Security actually went red in 2010 and will go broke in 2024.
In 1983, the Social Security trustees predicted that reforms would maintain the program’s solvency through 2048. Even they’ve changed their tune, though they won’t admit it’s as moribund as it actually is.
Since its inception, Social Security has promised each succeeding generation that there will be at least a minimum of money for them at retirement. All working people are taxed at the rate of 12.4% of each paycheck, with the promise of a return. (Yes, employers pay half, but they also pay employees less as a result. It still costs "X" to employ a person; whether 6.2% is earmarked for direct Social Security payments matters not.) But that money’s gone in an insolvent system.

Palestinian Authority's "Crimes of High Treason"
(Khaled Abu Toameh) - The Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership continues to give false hope to Palestinians regarding the "right of return" to their former villages and towns in Israel, as do the leaderships of most Arab countries... This is what the Arab and Palestinian leaders have been doing since the establishment of Israel in 1948 -- and why millions of Palestinians continue to live in refugee camps throughout the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. Instead of helping the refugees and encouraging them to move on with their lives, Arab and Palestinian leaders continue to ask them to stay where they are because, they will are told, they will return to the homes of their grandfathers and great grandfathers inside Israel. Arab and Palestinian leaders are afraid to confront the refugees with the truth sixty-seven years later, namely that the majority, if not all, will never return to towns and villages that no longer exist inside Israel.       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5722/palestinian-authority-treason

Study Exposes the Ugly Depth of European Muslim Anti-Semitism
(Abigail R. Esman) - A new study published by the Institute for the Study of Global Anti-Semitism and Policy (ISGAP) confirms what many have long suspected: that the worst crimes against Jews in Europe are perpetrated by (European) Muslims... and that Muslims have been responsible for a "disproportionate" number of anti-Semitic attacks over the past 15 years. And it isn't just about Israel. Overall, trends in Jew-hate have fluctuated by country since the beginning of this century. For the most part, reports of anti-Semitism are lower now than they were during the "second intifada" of 2008-2009 despite terrorist attacks on Jews in Brussels, Copenhagen and Paris in the past year alone. But anti-Semitic incidents have risen substantially from 1990s levels; and while, as the ISGAP report notes, "surveys on anti-Semitism that distinguish between Muslims and non-Muslims" have been subject to criticism, "the sum of available studies to date provides strong evidence that the level of anti-Semitism is indeed particularly high among Muslims."        http://www.investigativeproject.org/4850/study-exposes-the-ugly-depth-of-european-muslim

Senate Dems block key plank of nObama trade agenda
(foxnews.com) - President nObama suffered a defeat at the hands of his own party on Tuesday, as Senate Democrats blocked a key component of the president's trade agenda... After fierce lobbying on both sides of the issue, the bid to start debate -- on expanding the president's authority to negotiate trade deals -- failed on a 52-45 vote. It needed 60 votes to advance. The president's supporters will likely try again, but the vote nevertheless marks a stinging rebuke of a major nObama priority by members of his own party. Republicans mostly had aligned with nObama on the issue and, after the failed test vote, urged Obama's fellow Democrats to drop their resistance.       http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05/12/hill-showdown-set-in-trade-battle-between-senate-dems-obama/

nObama Admin Admits It Violated Judge’s Order
(Hans von Spakovsky) - In another midnight filing last week in the immigration lawsuit filed by 26 states against the nObama administration in the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. Justice Department admitted that the Department of Homeland Security had violated federal Judge Andrew Hanen’s Feb. 16 injunction... against President nObama’s immigration amnesty plan. This was not the first such admission by the government. It had previously filed an “Advisory” on March 3 informing Judge Hanen that between Nov. 20, 2014, when the president announced his immigration plan, and Feb. 16 when the injunction was issued, the Department of Homeland Security had begun implementing part of the president’s plan by issuing three-year deferrals to over 100,000 illegal aliens. In other words, despite having told Judge Hanen both in court and in written pleadings that no part of the president’s plan was being implemented until late February at the earliest, government officials were doing exactly the opposite. So what happens next?        http://dailysignal.com/2015/05/12/obama-administration-admits-it-violated-judges-order-to-halt-implementation-of-immigration-plan/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailydigest&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRojvK3OZKXonjHpfsX56%2BQpWqS%2BlMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4JTcdgI%2BSLDwEYGJlv6SgFQrLBMa1ozrgOWxU%3D

Why Do We Have A Death Tax?
(John C. Goodman) - Not all taxation is theft. But one tax that comes about as close as possible to being theft is the estate tax. After all, dead people aren’t getting any more services from government... I suppose there are a few people who are buried in pauper’s graves at county expense. But those are not the ones whose estates are being confiscated. I have never understood the logic behind seizing a part of the estates of the recently departed. If there is a valid argument for doing so, why doesn’t it apply with equal force to the estates of the living? The House of Representatives voted by a large margin the other today to abolish the estate tax. In doing so they took a very popular step.       http://www.forbes.com/sites/johngoodman/2015/04/27/why-do-we-have-a-death-tax/

 The Age Of Un-Enlightenment
(Kirsten Powers) - The illiberal left isn’t just ruining reputations and lives with their campaigns of delegitimization and disparagement. They are harming all of society by silencing important debates... denying people the right to draw their own conclusions, and derailing reporting and research that is important to our understanding of the world. They are robbing culture of the diversity of thought that is so central to learning and discovery. It’s sadly ironic that so many of the illiberal left view themselves as rational, intellectual, fact-based thinkers and yet have fully embraced a dogmatic form of un-enlightenment. Deviating from lefty ideology is equated to heresy and academic inquiry is too often secondary to ideological agendas. The illiberal left insert ideologically driven statistics into the media and academic bloodstream and then accuse anyone who questions them of diabolical motives. When researchers make discoveries supporting the wrong ideological conclusion, the character assassination and intimidation begin.       http://dailycaller.com/2015/05/11/the-age-of-un-enlightenment/

China Diverted Nuclear Technology to Submarines a U.S. Violation
(Bill Gertz) - China has illegally diverted U.S. civilian nuclear technology to its nuclear submarine program in violation of a 1985 cooperation agreement, according to Senate testimony Tuesday... Additionally, China appears to be violating an international Nuclear Suppliers Group commitment by exporting additional nuclear reactors, some with U.S. technology, to Pakistan, according to Republican and Democratic members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The Chinese nuclear violations were revealed during a hearing on the 1985 U.S.-China nuclear cooperation agreement that is set to expire at the end of the year. Let’s Get On a Pro-American Track
Phyllis Schlafly
.
boehner-mcconnell
.
(freedomsback.com) - Congress, led by Sen. Mitch McCon-nell (R-KY) and Speaker backstabber John Boehner (R-OH), is preparing to betray American workers, and the grassroots should rise up and say, “No, you don’t.” The secretive underhanded deal is called Fast Track, and that’s an appropriate title because, indeed, it puts Americans on a fast track to lower wages and fewer available jobs.
.
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), one of the few members of Congress who have actually read and studied Fast Track plus its companion trade bill called Trans-Pacific Partnership, has compiled a list of objections to it that are downright frightening. They should be read by all who care about their own future and the future of our once-prosperous nation. Here are some of the ways that Fast Track and TPP will betray us.
.
The text of TPP emphasizes that it is a “living agreement.” Translated out of bureaucratese code language, that means the text of TPP can be changed in major and minor ways by executive action after Congress passes the document. The TPP could, for example, add additional countries, such as Communist China, which for years has been cheating America coming and going.
.
TPP will facilitate the expanded movement of foreign workers into the United States. TPP opens the door to more waves of illegal immigrants and allows nObama to make future changes without any congressional oversight or expiration date.
.
Kevin L. Kearns of the U.S. Business and Industry Council calls this “another power grab” that will let nObama and his employees rule by executive action. By the device of not calling TPP a treaty (even though it involves 12 countries on three continents), the globalists induce the Senate to abandon the 67-vote threshold for treaty ratification and even the 60-vote threshold for important legislation.
.
Fast Track consolidates power in the executive branch and eliminates Congress’ constitutional power to amend or even debate trade legislation. Fast Track allows only a specified up-or-down vote on this momentous international agreement without any public oversight or ability to amend it or filibuster it.
.
Fast Track will increase our trade deficits, which reduce economic growth. Economists have estimated that the last trade deal, which we made with South Korea and which is the template for TPP, wiped out 50,000 American jobs.
.
Sen. Sessions called on nObama to rewrite the deal. Sessions said, “We don’t need a Fast Track but a regular track” so we can evaluate the false promises.
.
Fast Track turns over some of our authority as a sovereign nation to international authorities, which is a major longtime goal of the internationalists, the so-called kingmakers and big business lobbyists. The code language that hides this in TPP is the statement that calls it a “living agreement.”
.
This means nObama and his executive-branch pals can take all kinds of actions that Article I of the U.S. Constitution reserves to the legislative branch, such as ratifying or changing a treaty and controlling immigration.
.
Why should we trust the nObama administration and its foreign partners to rewrite international agreements without congressional approval? Is Congress simply giving away its constitutional authority to global busybodies?
.
Is Congress using secret agreements to cede our once-remarkable American prosperity to Asia? As former Nucor Steel Chairman Daniel DiMicco said, free trade is really “unilateral trade disarmament and enablement of foreign mercantilism.”
.
Most presidential candidates are trying to avoid this issue, but Mike Huckabee was blunt, warning of “dire consequences if we let nObama have this victory.” Huckabee said he opposes trade agreements that push wages “lower than the Dead Sea.”
.
Huckabee also reminded us that, “the last time we really fast-tracked something was nObamacare. Why do we want to believe that the government fast-tracking something without thoroughly understanding the implications is the best way to go?”
.
Another possible presidential candidate, Donald Trump, who literally wrote the book on “The Art of the Deal,” tweeted that TPP is a “bad, bad deal” in part because it fails to address Japan’s outrageous currency manipulation, which has caused many U.S. steel plants to shut down this year, idling thousands of American steelmakers. Yet Japan’s prime minister was recently honored with the rare privilege of addressing a joint meeting of Congress (at which he openly lobbied for the TPP) and entertained at a White House State Dinner.
.
Another likely presidential candidate is Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who declared, “I’m for free trade, but I am not for giving more authority to a president who ignores the Constitution, the separation of powers and will of the American people.”
.
“This particular president must not be given any more power to do anything else to harm this country,” Jindal continued. “He cannot be trusted.”

America's churches have become secular

By, Juan Reynoso WTP-Activist – texusa2016@gmail.com

Most churches in America have become secular, is your church becoming secular?  Are we becoming secular?  If either; start praying, repent of anything you believe or do that is contrary to the scripture.  Start praying for your church and let the Bible be your guide.

Our country is in a crisis because we turn against God, we call ourselves Christians, but our actions reflect the ones of secular religion. My personal experience for the last 50 years bears this out. I've been to several different churches in the New York City, Montana, Arizona and Texas, and they've all drawn a diverse crowd, parents and families, people of color, an almost equal mix of men and women, a broad spread of ages and It's clear that communities like this attract people who just want to get on with their lives and live according to humanist values. As the numbers of nonreligious Americans continue to grow, we can be sure that these secular congregations will grow with them.

I dream of a true Christian community, that follow God’s law and really be our brother’s keepers; that care about each other and stand for our God given rights to life and free of crimes and corruption.

All human beings will benefit from belonging to a welcoming, supportive church. Through Christian congregations like this, we can help each other in times of need or crisis: when someone dies, we can gather to comfort the mourners and share memories of their life. We can come together to celebrate important life passages such as weddings and birthdays. We can also assemble to do good for our community, with charitable drives and volunteering. Research has repeatedly affirmed the benefits of social connection, showing that belonging to a Church contributes to leading longer, healthier, happier lives. Besides the immediate tangible benefits, we also gather to affirm a common identity. In a society that's still majority Christians, we must embrace all the people and no one should be a target of prejudice and misunderstanding, we must organize and becoming visible, we must show the world who we are and what we value, and that's always the first step in fighting this antichrist war. It will create a positive and welcoming image of Christianity that people will bear in mind when the government establishment tries to paint us with negative stereotypes of being against equal rights or religious fanatics.

Type HillyClinton.net into your browser right now, though, and you’ll be redirected to Fiorina’s website. About a third of those scanned contain complete animals, which have been remarkably well preserved.  DHS Secretaries Warn of Increased Jihadi Threat
How's Barack nObama doing on the counterterrorism front? Not very good, according to his own DHS secretary. Jeh Johnson warned Sunday that the U.S. faces an increased threat from so-called "lone-wolf" terrorists, who he says could "strike at any moment." He added, "We're very definitely in a new environment, because of ISIL's effective use of social media, the Internet, which has the ability to reach into the homeland and possibly inspire others. Because of the use of the Internet, we could have little or no notice in advance of an independent actor attempting to strike." Tom Ridge, the first DHS secretary, agreed, saying, "The threats are much more serious and much more complicated than on Sept. 12, 2001."
But it's worth repeating what Mark Alexander wrote: "Describing Islamist assailants as 'lone wolf' actors or 'radicalized' constitutes a lethal misunderstanding of the Jihadi threat." That's because "these attacks and those to come were and will be directly tied to worldwide Jihad by way of the Qur'an, the foundational fabric linking all Islamist violence." As long as nObama continues to be more concerned about the Crusades than radical Islamic terrorism, however, this threat won't be effectively countered.  -The Patriot Post

 Saudis Snub Obama Summit
What happens when a president holds a summit and no one comes? That wasn't entirely the case with Barack nObama's Middle East powwow at Camp David this week, but four of the six invited leaders declined to attend, including one particularly notable absence: New Saudi King Salman, who took power earlier this year. The New York Times reports, "Both countries insisted on Monday that the king’s absence was not a snub, even as it was hard to ignore four powerful factors that have led to rising tensions between the two nations: the administration’s pursuit of a nuclear accord with Iran, the rise of the Islamic State in the region, the regional unrest that came to be known as the Arab Spring and the transformation of world energy markets." At least two of those things could be translated as nObama mucking things up with an ally, and the Times might add nObama's Yemen "success" story to that list since the Saudis are trying to stop Iranian terrorist proxies there. His foolish nuclear deal with Iran even has the Saudis promising to pursue nuclear weapons themselves as a deterrent. nObama might be content with increasing Iranian hegemony in the Middle East, but the Saudis are not. And they know that as long as nObama is "leading from behind," they're on their own.  -The Patriot Post

Forget Taxes, nObama's Regulations Are Strangling the Economy
The wild creation of regulations by the nObama administration has stalled economic growth and made the nation's rulemaking the responsibility of unelected bureaucrats. Two reports released this week show the staggering extent of how debilitating these regulations are. Every year, the Competitive Enterprise Institute releases its report on the nation's "Ten Thousand Commandments". This year, Clyde Wayne Crews, the vice president for policy for CEI, reports that the regulatory burden averages out to $14,976 per American household. If America's regulations were a country, it would have the 10th largest economy, beating out India. Barack nObama has tied the country in red tape because, while 224 laws were passed in 2014, the government plastered up 3,554 regulations. Furthermore, "A problem with cost-benefit analysis is that it relies primarily on agency self-reporting. Having agencies audit their own rules is like asking students to grade their own exams. Regulators are disinclined to emphasize when a rule’s benefits do not justify its costs," CEI's study says.
These regulations make the federal deficit unmanageable, and The Wall Street Journal pins the problem of America's stalled economy on too much regulation in the system. Meanwhile, a Heritage Foundation study finds that nObama's major regulations cost Americans $80 billion a year — and there's more regs in the works, such as another redesign of the light bulb. To fix the problem, Congress needs to insist that it is the lawmaking body of the country, not nameless bureaucrats in the executive branch.   -The Patriot Post

Refusing To Be Props In Charade, Gulf Leaders’ Snub nObama
(rickwells.us) - Arab Gulf State leaders are saying no, refusing to have themselves, their names and their nations associated with and used as props in the theatrics that the nObama administration is conducting with Iran, ISIS and the entire abdication of our role as world leader... They, just as many Americans, see the true nature of the White House occupant and his agenda. They are expressing their disapproval by declining an invitation for a summit at Camp David, a serious rebuke, insult and embarrassment for nObama as well as a painful injury to his thin, narcissistic epidermal layer. General Jack Keane gives his perspective on the snub, in which four of six Gulf leaders turned down the nObama invitation, the reasons behind it and the impact it will have.       http://rickwells.us/gen-keane-refusing-to-be-props-in-middle-east-charade-gulf-leaders-snub-iran-loving-obama/

DHS Spends Millions To Defeat The Climate, Zero Fighting Terrorists
(rickwells.us) - With the federal government an unmistakable way to view the priorities placed upon particular issues is to evaluate the level of spending which they receive... Throwing money at a problem truly is viewed as a solution or at a minimum a way to claim to be addressing a problem. The budgetary commitments that the regime has made to the threat of domestic, homegrown terrorists tells us they don’t believe it’s an issue worthy of their time. While the regime mislabels patriots and conservatives, those who are against a Marxist takeover of the United States, as potential terrorists, and from their anti-American perspective that may indeed by how they view those who respect their nation and its Constitution, those who truly seek to do us harm are being ignored.       http://rickwells.us/rep-mike-mccaul-dhs-spends-millions-to-defeat-the-climate-zero-fighting-homegrown-terrorists/

U.S. Military Forced To Bow To Sharia Law
(gopthedailydose.com) - Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson warned that “lone wolf” terrorists, such as the jihadis who attacked the Mohammed Art Exhibit in Garland, Texas, could “strike at any moment.” He described this as a new and challenging security environment, but added, “we are not discouraging Americans from doing the things they do on a daily basis.”... That disclaimer might not be entirely accurate, judging by what Fox 13 has been hearing from the military community in Tampa. “Military personnel, veterans and their families at military bases like MacDill are being advised to be careful what they post online and talk about in public,” says the report.        http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/11/u-s-military-forced-to-bow-to-sharia-law-told-not-to-act-pompous-online-to-avoid-ire-of-isis-lone-wolves/

New York’s Fracking Ban Hurting Upstate New Yorkers
(Bob Adelmann) - When New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was running for reelection in 2012 he said he was concerned about the poor economy hurting residents in upstate New York, particularly those living along the state’s southern border with Pennsylvania... Residents of Broome and Bradford counties in particular could peer across the border and see residents of Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna county living better, paying less in taxes, and enjoying the economic benefits of the fracking boom. Cuomo briefly considered lifting the state’s de facto ban on fracking in those counties as a way to give their residents a chance to enjoy some of those benefits. But only briefly.       http://www.thenewamerican.com/economy/sectors/item/20853-new-yorks-fracking-ban-hurting-upstate-new-yorkers?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=2b3d506d10-The_Editors_Top_Picks_3_12_143_12_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8ca494f2d2-2b3d506d10-289778381

A classy Ted Cruz vs. charlatan reporter
(David Limbaugh) - If you like arrogant, condescending, rude, insolent and patronizing Beltway journalism, you may appreciate Halperin’s performance... If you are a person of ordinary sensibilities, however, and not so intoxicated with the leftist worldview that you are incapable of dispassionately assessing the segment, you will have a different reaction. What first struck me about the interview was not so much the objectively asinine questions Halperin asked but his obvious motive and attitude in asking them. Aside from a few throwaways, all of his questions were aimed at exposing Cruz as an inauthentic Hispanic. And as insulting as that is, there is something more noteworthy about it that some are missing in all the hubbub about the interview.        http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/a-classy-ted-cruz-vs-charlatan-reporter/

(Michael F. (Mathew Vadum) - At least four board members of the highly efficient cash-for-favors trading platform known as the Bill, Hilly and Chelsea Clinton Foundation have either been charged with or convicted of serious crimes, including bribery and fraud, according to an eagerly awaited blockbuster of a book... The book is Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hilly Rich, by acclaimed best-selling author Peter Schweizer. Although it only became available for sale to the public on May 5, on Sunday it was already the 15th best-selling book on Amazon.com. The New York Times calls the meticulously documented opus “the most anticipated and feared book of a presidential cycle still in its infancy,” and reports that it “asserts that foreign entities who made payments to the Clinton Foundation and to Mr. Clinton through high speaking fees received favors from Mrs. Clinton’s State Department in return.” The Clintons benefited from their actions.       http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/matthew-vadum/the-clintons-criminal-board-of-trustees/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=f7e8404097-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-f7e8404097-156509103

Will Anti-Semitism Spread From American Universities to American Culture?
Will Anti-Semitism Spread To American Culture?
(Ben Cohen) - At the end of her sweeping probe into the normalization of anti-Semitism on American campuses, Ruth Wisse lays down a double challenge... Can the United States, the world’s pre-eminent liberal democracy and the one most exceptionally hospitable to its Jewish minority, retain that exceptional status “by recognizing the threat [posed by contemporary anti-Semitism] and fighting it off?” For their part, can American Jews, by gathering their mettle, help this country’s universities “heal themselves of this most deadly pathology?” In fact, the challenge is not just national but global. What happens in America will determine whether the Jewish people can maintain a center of power and influence in the Diaspora as well as in the sovereign state of Israel.       http://mosaicmagazine.com/response/2015/05/will-anti-semitism-spread-from-american-universities-to-american-culture/

Emptying My Brain Pan
Burt_Header_M2.jpg
.
(burtprelutsky.com) - In the old days, I recall my mother would occasionally have to empty the little pan under the ice box into which water would collect. With so many items winding up in my in-box, every so often I have to do a little emptying myself.
.
To begin with, I thought Charles Krauthammers’s comment regarding the peddling of influence by the Clintons was well worth sharing: “If there isn’t a shred of evidence that they accepted bribes in exchange for favors, it’s because they shredded the evidence.”
.
♦ The more I see of Bill and Hilly doing everything imaginable in pursuit of a few extra dollars, the more I find myself thinking of them as the Kardashians on steroids. As for Hilly’s presidential aspirations, I think that the only people who would like to see her elected more than Bill and Chelsea are America’s editorial cartoonists. With her snarky smile and her multitude of pantsuits, she is easily drawn, although some of us would prefer to see her drawn-and-quartered.
.
♦ Being a liberal can’t be easy. First, you had to be embarrassed by all those University of Maryland college students trying and failing to identify a photo of Ronald Reagan. Then you got to watch Diane Sawyer trying to process Bruce Jenner’s admission that he/she is a Christian conservative. I suspect that immediately after the interview, Ms. Sawyer took to her chaise lounge with a severe case of the vapors.
.
♦ Much has been made of the fact that Hollywood bubblehead Ben Affleck pulled strings to make sure nobody ever found out that one of his ancestors was a slave owner. If, God forbid, he had discovered that another had been a Republican, Ms. Sawyer would have had to shove over and make room for him.
.
♦ Not to be outdone in the loony sweepstakes, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, on his return from vacationing in Cuba, said he admired the Castros’ handling of the media. When you’re the governor of New York, it’s not enough to want to see the Second Amendment abolished; you also have to express contempt for the First.
.
♦ Before Ferguson, MO, made anti-cop riots so popular in urban black communities, what did these louts do for amusement?
.
As we all noticed, in Baltimore, as in Ferguson, the thugs are given free rein to loot, burn and destroy, for at least 24 hours, even when the National Guard is standing by. We know that, under nObama, members of the military will never be called upon to fire a weapon in anger. Thanks to the wimps running our cities and states, apparently the same holds true for National Guardsmen. Our new national motto might as well be “No Matter What, No Boots on the Ground.”
.
In spite of over 300 arrests in Baltimore, anyone who thinks the thugs will serve any real time for burning down neighborhood stores, thus destroying the dreams and lives of the small business owners in the community, must be puffing the magic dragon. In today’s world, villainy isn’t punished, it’s more often rewarded. Those thugs won’t even lose their welfare checks.
.
♦ During the riots, we kept hearing that the Crips and the Bloods had put their turf differences aside and agreed to a truce so that they could concentrate their efforts on putting cops in the hospital or the cemetery. My question is: how is it that those criminal enterprises are still in business?
.
After all, it was 45 years ago that the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act was passed. Over the decades, it has been used against organized crime to put any number of Mafia kingpins behind bars because it allows prosecutors to go after the guys who actually give the orders, not just the goombahs who carry them out.
.
But when do we ever hear that the government has gone after black and Hispanic gangs? Apparently, if you want to cause mischief and get away with it, the best way to go about it these days is to join a street gang, sneak across our border or convert to Islam.
.
♦ Furthermore, when I hear nObama or Mrs. Clinton explain away the Baltimore riots, I know that I am going to hear a call for more tax dollars to be tossed into the black community. When you consider how many trillions of our dollars have already been squandered on programs to assist people who show, by their contempt for education and their soaring rate of illegitimate births, that they have no real desire to break the shackles placed on them by Democrats, the notion of wasting even a single additional dollar makes me queasy.
.
♦ A great many people, I among them, was delighted to see the black woman whacking her teenage son upside his head when she spotted him huddling with the Baltimore troublemakers. But before anyone elects Toya Graham “Mother of the Year,” we need to know if she’s single as a result of divorce or widowhood. Otherwise, she’s just another unmarried woman with six kids at home, which would mean she is part of the problem, not the solution.
.
Still, she is far more deserving of our respect than all the other adults, including Baltimore’s mayor and city council members, who essentially stood by and made excuses for the young hooligans.
.
♦ But it does serve to remind me of all the people in America, mainly strangers, who do so much to make our lives slightly more bearable, in spite of the best efforts by politicians to make them far worse.
.
Those unsung heroes I have in mind are the fathers and mothers who do their best, in spite of impossible odds, to raise decent children; telephone employees who keep lines of communication open during natural disasters; the people who brave the elements to clear the roads while the snow and ice are still coming down; the life-savers who never seem more than a few minutes away when someone has a heart attack, finds himself involved in a highway collision or trapped in a burning building; and even plumbers, however much they charge, who manage to show up on Thanksgiving or Christmas, like Mighty Mouse, ready to save the day.
.
So if you happen to be any of these people, I know I speak for everyone else when I say: “Take a bow. You’ve earned it.”

Democrats Undermine Obama’s Pacific Trade Deal Effort

Like it or not, Barack Obama’s trade deal is needed if the U.S. is going to maintain influence in the Pacific Rim as a counterweight to China. But the community organizer in chief can’t even muster the support of his own party. Obama attacked Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who opposes the Trans-Pacific Partnership, saying she’s wrong on the matter. The Wall Street Journal says Obama’s polarization tactics worked better when there was a Democrat majority in Congress. Now that the playing field has changed, he’s attacking his own party. As a result, Democrat lawmakers voted against their president Tuesday, refusing to fast-track the trade legislation.

Without the up-down, yes-no vote, the Obama administration has a more challenging task. Charles Krauthammer opined, “It would help if when the president says [Warren] is dead wrong, he would actually make a case to explain why, rather than say, ‘I would never sign a deal that’s not good for working Americans. Trust me.’ That’s what he does with Iran, that’s what he does with everything. … [O]n this, acting in the national interest as president, he knows that in the end free trade is a good idea. And this agreement, in particular, is extremely important geopolitically as a way to hold our Pacific Rim allies, who will be cut loose and will enter into China’s orbit if we don’t.” But Obama is such a narcissist, he can’t help but demean his own party. If that keeps up, then the last two years will quickly become a lame-duck presidency. More…

How Hillary’s State Dept. Cleared Bill’s Speeches

“I gotta pay our bills,” Bill Clinton said recently when explaining his exorbitant speaking fees. Well, the Associated Press reports on the State Department’s enabling of Bill’s gravy train: “State Department officials gave speedy and sometimes only cursory consideration to potential conflicts of interest when approving former President Bill Clinton’s lucrative speeches to global companies and foreign governments during Hillary Rodham Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state. … Again and again, the ethics office responsible for vetting his appearances hurriedly signed off on them, even in cases where questions had been raised about the behavior of organizations hiring Bill Clinton to appear. It approved at least 330 requests for the former president’s appearance at speeches, dinners and events. More than 220 of those were paid events that earned the familynearly $50 million [emphasis added].”

One example was a speech to Barclays, the British bank that soon thereafter was fined $300 million for violating financial sanctions against Burma, Cuba, Iran, Libya and Sudan. And then there was the time Bill spoke to British-based HSBC, under investigation for — get this — money laundering. It’s no stretch to conclude that Hillary Clinton wasn’t about to use her authority at State to block Bill’s payday. They were “dead broke,” she told us, and that money was helping them just get by.

Military Paid NFL to Honor the Troops

From 2011 to 2014, the Department of Defense paid 14 NFL teams $5.4 million to honor soldiers during games. That’s right: What we thought was a genuine display of patriotism, like Hometown Hero, only came about because the NFL (formerly a “nonprofit” — pfft) wanted more money and the U.S. military wanted advertisement. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who first drew attention to the practice, said, “They realize the public believes they’re doing it as a public service or a sense of patriotism. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth.” While the NFL is contemptible for trading salutes for cash, the U.S. military also shoulders some of the blame for manipulating special moments into theater to gain more recruits. What do the soldiers, some with injuries from war, who walked out onto the field in front of thousands think of the fact that they were used as pawns in a marketing campaign that earned a sports franchise millions?

Meanwhile, Sen. Harry Reid has bigger fish to fry. He took to the Senate floor to complain about the suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for knowing about improperly inflated footballs. “I find it stunning that the National Football League is more concerned about how much air is in a football than with a racist franchise name that denigrates Native Americans across the country.” If Reid were serious about his political charade, he’d just pay the Washington Redskins to change their name. With all this nonsense, maybe it’s time for the nation to return to America’s pastime — baseball. More…

FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

Social Insecurity: The Looming Crisis

By Jim Harrington

2015-05-13-ee475da7_large.jpg

It still costs “X” to employ a person; whether 6.2% is earmarked for direct Social Security payments matters not.) But that money’s gone in an insolvent system.

When Franklin Roosevelt created Social Security, the ratio of taxpayers to beneficiaries was 42:1. Today that ratio has plummeted to numbers FDRs' “Brain Trust” never contemplated — it’s now a puny 3:1, and with 80 million Baby Boomers beginning to enter the system that ratio will only get worse. Social Security’s already running a $200 billion annual deficit with 60 million recipients, so it’s difficult to understand the trustees' optimism.

Researchers Gary King of Harvard and Samir Soneji and Konstantin Kashin of Dartmouth analyzed the Social Security Administration (SSA) trustees actuarial reports and conclude the program’s insolvency is near. Their research found little or no bias in the annual reporting between 1978 and 1999, but from 2000 onward the bias presenting the program positively has been increasing steadily.

King reports that the trustees use outdated modes in the analyses, comparing them to “steering by sextant and dead reckoning” rather than using “global-positioning-systems.” They “employ research methods that are antiquated and opaque compared with the statistics and open-source data analytics powering today’s successful scientific and business enterprises.”

Steve Goss, the chief actuary of the SSA, nevertheless enjoys widespread credibility. Supporters in the public, academic and private sectors use his analyses in their own work.

Barron’s Bill Alpert explains why: Goss says SSA actuaries “leave politics at the door when they prepare” reports, and argues that “forecast errors in the past decade might have resulted from the 2008 recession.” Besides political independence, Goss values consistency in the projections and looks askance at changing assumptions or methods.

Goss cites as a cautionary tale the trustees' continuing to project long-term gains while productivity dropped during the 1980s. Then in 1995, the economy began a sharp climb. “[We] learned a lesson,” Goss said. “[M]aybe we should look at the long-term averages, not flip back and forth a lot based on very, very brief periods of recent experience.” One problem with that approach is that the U.S. is not your granddaddy’s country.

And Alpert notes another big problem for Goss: “[A] surprising number of past panelists complain that Goss has ignored their advice. A case in point is the way the actuaries predict death rates. Along with birth rates and immigration, death rates are a crucial consideration in projecting the future populations that will be paying into Social Security and drawing benefits. Since 1999, outside demographers on Social Security’s technical panels have unsuccessfully urged the actuaries to change their approach for predicting death rates. Goss' crew makes judgments about future death rates within each age group and sex from five separate causes, like heart disease, cancer, and violence — a process that obliges the actuaries to come up with 150 different parameters in a way that outside experts have never been able to plumb.”

Faulty methods distort projections for solvency.

Problems are many, solutions, few. The system has already raised the full eligibility age to 66, and soon, 67. That’s not enough. One suggestion: raise taxes (naturally). To maintain the promised benefits, former Bill Clinton adviser Bill Galston argues the payroll tax would have to rise from 12.4% to 15.9%. A middle-income family (about $50,000) would pay another $900 annually. Adding this to all other taxes they pay is unconscionable.

Republicans have promoted privatizing part of Social Security for more than 20 years. Were taxpayers allowed to invest their Social Security money in 401k’s, even a modest return would allow middle-income earners to retire on six-figure incomes. Social Security’s “return,” by comparison, is an obscene joke. It actually results in a loss due to the constant inflation of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Social Security is a Pony Express program in a smart phone world. It makes changes grudgingly and only long after they are obviously needed. And because it is the greatest Ponzi scheme of all time, some Americans will be hurt very badly. Yet this oft-repeated warning has never been heeded because government employees have their own pension system, and citizens only want what was promised to them — a retirement income. Anybody aiming to fix that, in the view of too many Americans, is merely trying to steal from them. In short, it’s an entrenched problem that will almost surely receive nothing but token Band-Aids as long as politicians can hold out.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Ben Shapiro: “[Pamela] Geller, the narrative goes, should never have encouraged people to draw Muhammad because it was ‘provocative.’ To which the answer should be: So what? Women attending school in Afghanistan ‘provokes’ radical Muslims into throwing acid on their faces, but that does not mean that women should not go to school in Afghanistan or be condemned for doing so. … How do proponents of this victim/victimizer identity dichotomy determine who falls into which category? They simply look at the socioeconomic status of those involved and make a determination of who is worse off. Thus, black Baltimore rioters were not people acting without any sense of values, but rather victims provoked by injustice from a non-existent white power structure in Baltimore. Before a conflict has even begun, we know who deserves our sympathy. That calculus leads to more death, more destruction, more chaos. That death, destruction and chaos cannot be laid at the feet of Pamela Geller, but those who continue to perpetuate a narrative in which people who commit evil acts are victims, and those who are their victims are their provocateurs.”

State Department Refuses to Investigate Clinton
Where there's smoke, there's fire. And even though the smoke is billowing out of the Clinton Foundation, the State Department says it won't dig further into Hilly Clinton's actions as secretary of state. "The State Department has not and does not intend to initiate a formal review, or to make a retroactive judgment about items that were not submitted during Secretary Clinton's tenure," spokesman Jeff Rathke said. State has the most information on Clinton's actions — more than Congress — because she dumped 30,000 of her emails on the department before wiping her private hard drive clean. But it refuses to look deeper or give the emails to someone who will.
It's common sense to be suspicious of the Clinton Foundation, given the kinds of reports coming out about the "charity." According to the book "Clinton Cash" by Peter Schweizer, at least four members of the Clinton Foundation board were charged with financial crimes, including fraud and bribery. As for the uranium deal the State Department approved under Clinton's leadership (the one that gave Russia control over much of the U.S.'s uranium reserves) the Kazakh official who helped broker the deal is serving a 14-year sentence for making corrupt uranium deals with foreign governments. Furthermore, the Clinton Foundation is unlikely to disappear if Clinton becomes president. After all, what's first swinger Bill to do?  -The Patriot Post

Six Baltimore Officers Fight Prosecution, Allege Overreach
The six Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray filed a motion Friday to dismiss the charges. "Rarely in the history of any criminal case has a prosecutor so directly maintained so many conflicts of interest," the motion read. "Rarer still are instances where such clear conflict exists and a prosecutor steadfastly refuses to recuse him or herself. … This motion is being filed at this junction because the Defendants have grave concerns about the charging decisions which will be made in the near future and their ability to receive due process of the law."
When State Attorney Marilyn Mosby charged the officers with everything from false imprisonment to second degree depraved heart murder, she told the people protesting police brutality, "I heard your call." In doing so, she implied that she ignored her duty to uphold the law in favor of mob "justice." Furthermore, the conflicts of interest are thick and damning. First, Mosby is married to the city councilman who represents the district where Gray was arrested and where the rioting was the worst. Second, the attorney for the Gray family is considered a mentor to Mosby. The charges from Mosby's office were slapped together and fired off in such a shoddy manner that Mosby mistakenly accused two people who only shared the names of two of the officers. More...  -The Patriot Post

 Police Lives Matter
Sometimes cops protect and serve, and sometimes they need to be protected and served. A rookie Oklahoma City police officer found that to be true while pursuing a robbery suspect on foot. After becoming separated from his partner, Officer Adam Eller struggled with one of the suspects, who snatched Eller's baton and beat him with it. An armed citizen came to the rescue, however, drawing his firearm, warning the assailant to stop, and holding him until police backup arrived. Eller likely owes his life to this good guy with a gun.
Two Hattiesburg, Mississippi, officers weren't so fortunate. Officers Benjamin Deen, 34 with a wife and two kids, and Liquori Tate, a 25-year-old rookie, were conducting what they thought was a routine traffic stop when the vehicle occupants opened fire, wounding the officers. Both later died at a local hospital, the first deaths for the Hattiesburg Police in three decades.
We note these cases together for two reasons: First, the assailants in both cases were black, while two of the three officers were white. Profiling doesn't happen without reason. Second, black lives matter, but so do police lives. Officers are human and capable of doing wrong, but they put their lives on the line for their communities, too.   -The Patriot Post

FIRST IN FOX NEWS FIRST: JEB ANSWERS MEGYN ON  LEGACY WOES
In an interview with Megyn Kelly set to air tonightJeb Bush answers the charge from critics that he is “the worst possible candidate to put up against Hilly Clinton” because of his famous last name. “I haven’t been in Washington over the last… ever,” Bush said in a wide-ranging interview that airs tonight on “The Kelly File” at 9 p.m. ET. “I’m not part of Washington.”
The electability argument is usually the ace in the hole for the establishment-backed candidate in the Republican Party, but it actually cuts the other way for Bush. Bush, who served as Florida governor from 1999 to 2007, has watched his former protégé, Sen. Marco Rubio, receive a surge in support, including from many establishment figures. Old GOP hands worry about whether the inability to prosecute Clinton on her weakest points – entitlement, exploitation of insider status and preservation of the status quo – could ever be offset by Bush’s money, organization and political skills. Those concerns were highlighted by the first excerpts from the interview to emerge. Kelly asked Bush if he would have ordered the 2003 invasion of Iraq even “knowing what we know now.” Bush said he would.
In the newly released clip, Bush said he would overcome the perception that “the country needs a fresh start” by running on his record in Florida: “I got to serve as a governor of a state, a purple state, and I was the most successful conservative governor probably during the time that I was there – I’d say Mitch Daniels and Jeb Bush are the two most successful governors. I can tell that story, and I can offer ideas that are about the future, not the past. And I’m energetic and passionate about the needs, the things we need to fix.”
The interview, which touches on Bush’s support for Common Core educational standards, religious liberty, the specifics of his policies on illegal immigration, racial tensions and other topics, was Bush’s first sit-down session on television since December.  -Fox News

CLINTONS TRY TO MUZZLE CHARITY WATCHDOG
The vigorous counterattack by the Clinton campaign to discredit the scandal prompted by “Clinton Cash” isn’t the first such battle the Clintons have engaged in over the foundation donations, New York magazine reports. “After being the subject of a spate of negative newspaper accounts about potential conflicts of interest and management dysfunction this winter — long before Clinton Cash — the Clinton Foundation wound up on a ‘watchlist’ maintained by the Charity Navigator, the New Jersey-based nonprofit watchdog…. Navigator executives counter that the Foundation has demanded they extend the Clintons special treatment. They also allege the Foundation attempted to strong-arm them by calling a Navigator board member. ‘They felt they were of such importance that we should deviate from our normal process. They were irritated by that,’ says [former Navigator CEO, Ken Berger].”

Baltimore: nObama’s Civil-Rights Crusade against Police Departs
(Andrew McCarthy) - Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. When Republican leaders rationalized confirming Loretta Lynch as attorney general – notwithstanding her stated commitment to facilitating President nObama’s lawlessness... they mumbled about how the country needed to end the tenure of Eric Holder. You may remember him as the original nObama attorney general whose confirmation Republicans strongly supported despite extensive evidence of his unfitness. As a number of us countered, and as anyone with a shred of common sense knows, major Justice Department policy is and has always been set by President nObama. While Ms. Lynch is temperamentally different from Mr. Holder, her confirmation portended no change of direction.       http://www.aim.org/guest-column/baltimore-is-just-the-latest-target-in-obamas-civil-rights-crusade-against-police-departments/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email051215&utm_medium=email

nObama Lets Illegal-Alien Criminals Run Free
(Deroy Murdock) - Does nObama have it out for his countrymen, or does he simply not give a damn about his fellow Americans?... This inescapable question occurs in light of his release of 66,565 convicted illegal-alien criminals over the past two years. Rather than deport these often-violent lawbreakers to their homelands, nObama sets them loose on U.S. streets. According to data that Immigration and Customs Enforcement delivered to the House Judiciary Committee last month, ICE released 30,558 illegal-alien criminals from federal custody into the general population in fiscal year 2014. To use more-sensitive language, these undocumented crime workers collectively were responsible for 79,059 convictions. These included 13,636 convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol, 1,346 for domestic violence, 1,194 for battery, 373 for sexual assault, 186 for kidnapping, and 86 for homicide. Then why do Hollywood and the black continue to support him and the Hilly?        http://www.aim.org/guest-column/obama-lets-illegal-alien-criminals-run-free/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email051215&utm_medium=email

 Kingdom of the Screwdriver
(Dr. Steven J. Allen) - For a while yesterday, many on the Left were jubilant at the shooting (falsely reported, it turned out) of George Zimmerman, a Latino who, one day in 2012, dared defend himself as his head was being bashed against the concrete in a (mistaken) gay-bashing by a doped-up teenager... As the evidence showed, he was quite reasonable in his belief that he was shooting the teenager before the teenager could kill him. In Baltimore over the weekend, the artist formerly known as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince held a concert in which he sang of victims of police brutality like Michael Brown, who was not actually the victim of police brutality but who assaulted a convenience store clerk half his size, then went after a police officer, trying to take the officer’s gun and presumably kill him with it. The officer killed him first—a shooting that even the Obama administration was forced to admit was fully justified. From Mumia Abu-Jamal to the perpetrators of the Tawana Brawley, Duke lacrosse, and University of Virginia fraternity hoaxes… Why, so often, do people on the Left glorify liars and criminals? Why do they so often direct their anger and hatred at the victims?     http://capitalresearch.org/2015/05/kingdom-of-the-screwdriver/

Fighting against tyranny in some unique ways
(Martin Morse Wooster) - What’s the best way to fight the dictatorships of the world? Look at the activities of the State Department these days and you’d think that sending tweets is an example of furious action... These days a combination of prudence and traditionally excessive bureaucratic caution keeps our Foreign Service officers securely protected in our embassies. But surely there’s something that can be done to fight the world’s tyrants, as Matt Labash shows in this excellent profile of Thor Halvorssen in the Weekly Standard. Halvorssen is not yet forty, but he is a particularly dynamic social entrepreneur, having created three useful organizations. He began by co-founding the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, which fights for free speech on college campuses. Next came the Moving Picture Institute, which teaches students how to write and direct freedom-oriented films. But his primary effort these days is the Human Rights Foundation (HRF), which Labash profiles.        http://www.philanthropydaily.com/fighting-against-tyranny-in-some-unique-ways/

Say The “Magic Word” And Get A Work Permit, Welfare, EBT, Medicaid
(rickwells.us) - The fact that the use of a single word, asylum, by an illegal alien will circumvent our entire immigration system is a flaw in our system which the nObama regime is exploiting feverishly in their program to flood the United States with dependent foreigner... The distortion of the asylum process into an open invitation to an imported dependent population has been the method through which the nObama regime has wrapped themselves in a false veil of legitimacy as they flood our nation with illegal aliens, particularly from Central America. In a Fox News report, Kenneth Palinkas, president of the National Citizenship and Immigration Services Council said, “Almost anyone at all can call themselves an asylum seeker and get in. It’s a global joke. It’s not border security if anyone can recite the magic words and get waved right on in.”        http://rickwells.us/illegal-alien-jackpot-say-the-magic-word-and-get-a-work-permit-welfare-ebt-and-medicaid/

nObama Sued for Attempted Blackmail…Other States Join In
(Steven Ahle) - The state of Florida has now filed a lawsuit against Barack nObama who attempted to force Florida to bend to his will using blackmail.  Florida had refused to accept nObama’s demand to expand their Medicaid program to include able bodied adults with no children... The Supreme Court ruled that the federal government (nObama) cannot cut off current Medicaid to any states that refuse to expand Medicaid, which the court found to be unconstitutional. Some claim that it’s not blackmail. They could be right, the word extortion might be a better fit. Florida’s program is called LIP and nObama has informed Florida that contrary to the ruling by SCOTUS, that he will be cutting them off. That would force Florida to either fund LIP exclusively by themselves or end the program for millions who depend on it for their healthcare coverage. The expansion of Medicaid in Florida comes at a steep price. The leftwing  Urban Institute in 2012 estimated that the expansion of Medicaid would cost Florida 82 billion dollars over the next 10 years, but Lip will only cost them 22 billion over the same period.  All this so shiftless bums can get free medical from the government.       http://redstatements.co/obama-sued-for-attempted-blackmail-other-states-join-in/

nObama's Economic Disaster
Alan Caruba
.
Obama%2B-%2BGrinning.jpg

.
(factsnotfantasy.blogspot.com) - Commenting on the rioting in Baltimore, the Wall Street Journal’s Daniel Henniger was almost to the end of his April 30 text when he said “On Wednesday morning, the year’s first-quarter GDP growth rate came in—0.02%. Next to nothing. For the length of the nObama presidency, with growth significantly below norm, unemployment for blacks aged 24 and younger has hovered between 30% and 40%. That’s the real powder key, not the police.”
.

Most Americans do not put the state of the economy at the heart of everything else is occurring. Instead they listen to politicians apply the blame to everything other than themselves. President nObama spent his entire first term blaming George W. Bush for the bad state of the economy he inherited, but instead of addressing it, he increased it by imposing nObamaCare, radically altering how many would be hired while others were cut to a part-time status. The bill added a number of taxes as well.
.

When 2015 arrived in January CNS News reported that “A record 92,898,000 Americans 16 and older did not participate in the labor force in December, as the labor force participation rate dropped once again to 62.7 percent, a level it has not seen in 36 years,” according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
.

Remember those unemployed young blacks? In March the BLS noted that a record of 12,202,000 black people were not in the labor force. The unemployment rate for black people in March was 10.1 percent, which is nearly double the overall unemployment rate of 5.5 percent. For black teens, age 16 to 19, the unemployment rate was even higher at 25.0 percent, meaning that one in four black teens who were actively seeking a job did not have one.
.

By the beginning of April, the BLS reported that “a record 93,175,000 Americans 16 and older did not participate in the labor force in March, as the labor force participation rate dropped to 62.7 percent, the lowest level seen in 37 years.”
.

Also in April, the BLS reported that “a record 56,131,000 women, age 16 years and over, were not in the labor force the previous month, as the participation rate for this group dropped to 56.6 percent—a 27 year low.
.

It was no surprise that the Department of Agriculture reported that “The number of beneficiaries who receive compensation from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), otherwise known as food stamps, has topped 46,000,000 for 37 straight months.”
.

The U.S. Census Bureau started 2015 with news that one out of five young adults—white, black, Hispanic—and ages 18 to 34, currently live in poverty! That’s 13.5 million people, “up from one in seven (8.4 million people) in 1980.”
.

If all this strikes you as very bad news, it gets worse. In February, the Daily Caller’s White House Correspondence, Neil Monro, reported that “President Barack nObama has quietly handed out an  extra 5.46 million work permits for non-immigrant foreigners who arrived as tourists, students, illegal immigrants or other types of migrants since 2009.”
.

“’The executive branch is operating a high parallel work-authorization system outside the bounds of the (immigration) laws and limits written by Congress (and which) inevitably reduces job opportunities for Americans,’ said Jessica Vaughan, the policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies” which filed the FOIA request the revealed this travesty.
.

So it didn’t matter to Barack nObama that millions of Americans were out of work while the White House masterminded a secretive program to provide non-Americans access to the jobs that were available.
.

We are living in the midst of an economic disaster and despite the often rosy headlines the reality is one that Stephen Moore, the chief economist at the Heritage Foundation, took note of in January in The Washington Times. He identified “hidden indicators” of the true state of the economy as 2015 began:
.

“The $1 trillion growth gap. This economic recovery is the lowest in 50 years”
.

“The restless recovery. It’s been 10 years since Americans in the middle class got a pay raise that kept pace with inflation.”
.

“Inequality is worse. The Gini coefficient (as measured by the Census Bureau), the left’s favorite measure of income inequality, rose each of Mr. nObama’s first four years in office, breaking all-time highs in both 2011 and 2012, and it remains high.”
.

“The debt has grown by $7.3 trillion. When Mr. nObama entered office the national debt was under $11 trillion. Now it’s more than $18 trillion…it will be $19 trillion when he leaves office.”
.

The record speaks for itself. Americans are worse off today than when nObama took office in 2009. In the years since then he has totally failed to take the best understood steps to push back against a recession and unemployment. He has expanded the federal government. He has failed to initiate a reform of the nation’s tax code to stimulate investment and expansion.
.

The nation’s first black President has so poorly served the interests of the African-American population that they are worse off today. He has practiced “equal inequality” by afflicting our other demographic groups, younger workers, woman, and everyone else who has been left unable to afford college and unable to purchase a home and start a family. These years will be seen in retrospect as a desert of opportunity.

stat-1.jpg?width=235Yesterday, in The National Patriot, I offered that the root of the problem, deemed today to be a racial divide and currently being blamed on various police departments around the country is, in reality, based in liberalism.

Today…I offer to you the statistics to prove my point.

The top ten poorest cities in the U.S. have all be run by liberals for decades.

The top ten most violent cities in the nation have likewise been run by liberals for decades.

And there’s something else these cities have in common…as the levels of violent crimes grow, the white population decreases as does that of law abiding black and Hispanic nuclear families. The fewer black, Hispanic and white two parent families that live in these cities…the higher and higher the rate of violent crimes rises.

According to recent FBI statistics compiled in 2013…the most recent study available…

Cooperative Workplaces will save the America's Economy.
Fellow Americans we either innovate, or we die and decay, the fact is that we are heading to an economy crisis never experience in our country, the collapse of the Dollar will take place; is a matter of time, it is like a time bomb that will destroy our economy and demise our life savings and our retirement accounts. We cannot depend on the government to fix this mess that they created in the first place; it is up to us and no one else.
The truth is that this corrupt government, voided their oaths and betray the American people, they passed legislation’s that destroy our jobs and created huge trade deficits. To pay for their financial obligations and the cost of running the country they barrow the money to cover the budget deficit and without any concern for the future of our country engaged in wars that cost us trillions of Dollars and to cover-up their mess they lower the interest rate and created the 2008 economy crisis and they make it worst by bailing out their cronies, the big Bankers and the financial predators of the people’s money.
Today, Washington do not have a clue as to what to do to fix this mess and continue doing what get us into this mess, they are getting ready to pass the TPP trade agreement, this will be the end of our jobs and our life style.
Fellow Americans our economy future depends on us; innovation and revamping our economic system can only be done by us, we need to work together and change our employment picture by creating jobs for ourselves, our solution is the development of community cooperative workplaces; we produce and support our community by using and buying products produce by our cooperatives. We can fight the oligarchs’ promoters of globalization and free trade and build our own economy; the solution to our problem is being loyal to our country and our people. Buy only products made in America by Americans, create jobs for Americans. Creating and keeping American jobs should be the dominating national discourse right now, we must think and take action before is too late.

Register-Herald: “A Raleigh County man is in jail after he allegedly foiled his own robbery by pepper-spraying himself, police said. Michael Kevin Meadows, 43, of Shady Spring, was arrested Wednesday for attempted robbery, according to a criminal complaint filed in Raleigh County Magistrate Court. On Tuesday, Meadows went into the Bypass Pharmacy on Ritter Drive in Beaver, according to the complaint, wearing full camouflage, a boonie hat and a paintball mask. Meadows started spraying pepper spray everywhere in an effort to take down employees, then walked forward, the complaint stated, stepping right into the cloud of pepper spray. From security footage, police could see that Meadows was affected by his own pepper spray.”

Team Clinton's New Campaign Slogan 'The Ends Justify The Means'
(Jeff Dunetz) - Rather than directly answering the charges surrounding the Clinton Foundation, foreign donations and Hilly Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State, team Clinton is pointing to all the good done by the Foundation... But is that really germane to the discussion? Does that really answer whether there was a State Department quid pro quo for Clinton Foundation donations? Does it address the fact that even if there was no quid pro quo, the Clinton Foundation broke the rules about foreign donations Ms. Clinton agreed to when she took the reigns at Foggy Bottom? Beyond what was exposed in the Peter Schweizer book Clinton Cash the Foundation has made some "accounting errors" in their reporting: There was also about $200 million in grants not not reported in the foundations 2010/2011 tax returns.        http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2015/05/team-clintons-new-campaign-slogan-ends.html?utm_source=The+Lid+List&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=a1012a0994-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_term=0_597b72c01c-a1012a0994-291705165&goal=0_597b72c01c-a1012a0994-291705165

How the Illiberal Left Uses Silencing Tactics
(Kirsten Powers) - In March 2014, pioneering Internet company Mozilla announced the appointment of co-founder Brendan Eich as CEO. That same day, a Twitter mob exploded with criticism of Eich... Gay rights supporters were angry about a 6-year-old donation of $1,000 to the “Yes on 8” campaign, which sought to ban same-sex marriage in California in 2008. It’s OK to be angry about Eich’s donation. Screaming for Eich’s head on a pike for his failure to conform to Mozilla’s majority view on same-sex marriage is not. Liberals are supposed to believe in protecting minority views, even when they disapprove of those views.       http://dailysignal.com/2015/05/11/how-the-illiberal-left-uses-silencing-tactics/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=morningbell&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRojvaXIZKXonjHpfsX56%2BQpWqS%2BlMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4JTcJmI%2BSLDwEYGJlv6SgFQrLBMa1ozrgOWxU%3D

Rape and Torture: Iran's Political Weapons
(Uzay Bulut) - The rape and torture of Kurdish and dissidents in Iran -- both women and men -- is now widespread and systematic... Most recently, on May 4, Farinaz Khosrawani, 25, a Kurdish woman employed at the Hotel Tara in Mahabad in Iranian Kurdistan, plunged from a fourth-floor window of the Tara Hotel, Kurdish news media reported. Khosrawani allegedly jumped to her death to avoid being raped by an Iranian government security agent; the circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been confirmed.       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5734/iran-rape-kurds

GOP Failure Theater: the Iran nuclear vote, Cruz-Rubio edition
(redstate.com) - Failure Theater. When the GOP talks a good game about opposing nObama’s policies but, in fact, vote to go along with them... Yesterday the US Senate voted 98-1 to go along with whatever Barack nObama decides to give to Iran. Though the feckless Bob Corker (R-TN) has portrayed it as a successful “bipartisan” bill, part of Mitch McCon-nell (R-KY) erotic dream of “governing”, in fact it is a huge defeat for our Constitution. By turning the treaty process on its head, by giving nObama carte-blanche to do as he will unless Congress can muster the necessary 2/3 vote to abrogate his actions, the GOP has effectively taken the Congress out of any role in shaping US foreign policy. This bill, thanks to Mitch McCon-nell (R-KY) bipartisanship fetish did not even require the Iran cease supporting terrorist attacks on Americans. Nope, reasoned the addled Bob Corker (R-TN) and the big brain types in the GOP leadership, requiring Iran to forego terrorism before we help them get a nuke was just too much. nObama would never stand for it.        http://www.redstate.com/2015/05/08/gop-failure-theater-iran-nuclear-vote-cruz-rubio-edition/

Houston Federal Judge Invents New Kind of Asset Forfeiture
(Mark Horne) - Forget about the pure, shameless robbery involved. What about the risk of being murdered? If you know that your drugs branded with your business logo have been used to betray drug cartels... and that one of your drivers was executed, wouldn’t you need to worry about the cartel considering you involved in that betrayal? No wonder Craig Patty says that he and his family are terrified about retaliation. In fact, one reason for the lawsuit is to make sure the facts get aired publicly so that no one thinks he was involved in the sting operation. Naturally, Patty’s insurance company refused to pay for repairs to the truck since they do not insure business vehicles to be used in police business. Not only is the judge’s ruling a crime of plunder, but the fact that an alleged “law enforcement” agency would refuse to pay in the first place proves that they are a lawless gang.        http://politicaloutcast.com/2015/05/houston-federal-judge-invents-new-kind-of-asset-forfeiture/

China Makes Major Moves To Ban Islam
(Steven Crowder) - Maybe one day, the West will realize that freedom can’t exist for those who want to take your freedom... Apparently, China realizes what the West doesn’t – bet you never thought you’d read that here – namely, that Islam is very dangerous. It’s kind of ironic that the oppressive nation sees what free nations don’t: Islam will turn nasty. It alwaysdoes. Everywhere the religion/political ideology has been given an inch, they’ve taken a mile. Like a rabid dog, once it gets strong enough, it will bite us. So what is China doing? It’s declaring an all-out war to make sure Islam doesn’t take over and never gains the strength to attack them. (Steven Crowder) - Here’s the deal: Sharia law doesn’t work in the US. Period. The end. In fact, Sharia law stands in direct opposition to the Constitution in many areas. Strike that, most areas... Yet, for some reason, liberals have decided we need to cower at the tenents of Islam as though we believe in and support them. Let’s not be provocative! We must not upset the (false) Prophet! Seriously, how on earth did our society reach a point where we’re more upset about people drawing cartoons than the fact that two terrorists tried to murder them for doing so? How far down the slope will we go?        http://www.westernjournalism.com/top-5-ways-liberals-are-already-submitting-to-sharia-law/?utm_source=MailChimp&utm_medium=email&utm_content=opinion-articles&utm_campaign=DailyEmail05.11.15

Justice Scalia: Constitution, Not Bill of Rights, Makes Us Free
(Kevin Mooney) - To hear Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia tell it, America’s freedoms don’t come from freedom of speech or freedom of the press... It’s not the right to bear arms that keeps us free, nor is it the right to “be secure … against unreasonable search and seizure” or to a “speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury.” The reason America’s basic freedom has endured for more than 200 years, Scalia said Friday in a speech to the Federalist Society in Morristown, N.J., is not the amendments to the Constitution but the Constitution itself.       http://dailysignal.com/2015/05/11/supreme-court-justice-scalia-constitution-not-bill-of-rights-makes-us-free/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailydigest&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRojvKzIZKXonjHpfsX56%2BQpWqS%2BlMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4JTcNqI%2BSLDwEYGJlv6SgFQrLBMa1ozrgOWxU%3D

The Death of the Green Energy Movement
(Stephen Moore) - The green energy movement in America is dead. May it rest in peace. No, a majority of American energy over the next 20 years is not going to come from windmills and solar panels... One important lesson to be learned from the green energy fad’s rapid and expensive demise is that central planning doesn’t work. What crushed green energy was the boom in shale oil and gas along with the steep decline in the price of fossil fuel that few saw coming just a few years ago. A new International Energy Agency report concedes that green energy is in fast retreat and is getting crushed by “the recent drop in fossil fuel prices.” It finds that the huge price advantage for oil and natural gas means “fossil plants still dominate recent (electric power) capacity additions.”       http://dailysignal.com/2015/05/08/the-death-of-the-green-energy-movement/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailydigest&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRojvKzIZKXonjHpfsX56%2BQpWqS%2BlMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4JTcNqI%2BSLDwEYGJlv6SgFQrLBMa1ozrgOWxU%3D

Do Black Lives Matter?
Burt_Header_M2.jpg
.
(burtprelutsky.com) - According to Democrats running for office, black lives matter a lot. The left-wing media wholeheartedly agrees. So far as conservatives are concerned, all human lives matter, including those on the brink of being born. In fact, it sometimes seems that the only people who don’t give a damn about black lives are other blacks. Otherwise, you would have to wonder why they are always shooting one another.
.
Because I often feel like one of the small number of columnists engaged in an honest dialogue – okay, more of a soliloquy – about race in America, and because I have opposed the presidential candidacy of not only Barack nObama, but Herman Cain and Dr. Ben Carson, I suspect that some people might label me a bigot.
.
I’m not, of course, but, then, that’s what bigots always say. However, in my defense, I would point out that whereas real bigots hate all blacks or all Jews or all Mormons, I can easily differentiate between people like Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams and Jason Riley and the likes of Al Sharpton, Valerie Jarrett and Eric Holder.
.
I recognize the gulf that exists between black couples who get an education, get married, raise their children and hold down jobs and those inner city hoodlums peddling drugs, rioting and burning down homes and businesses just for the hell of it.
.
Even for me, though, the confusion comes at election time, when 90-95% of all black Americans, the decent and the indecent, the productive and the parasitical, join forces to vote for all the plantation owners sporting a (D) after their names.
.
In Baltimore, we have a black mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who keeps denying she said that we all heard her say. Within a 24-hour span, she denied she told the police to stand down and that she also said, “Let them loot. It’s only property.”
.
Being dismissive of property damage is second nature to liberals, so long as it’s not their property. The irony is that a black woman uttered those words. After all, what is it but a form of slavery when you take away something that somebody else worked and paid for? Or, to be more specific, if I have to work, say, 15 hours to earn enough money to buy a TV set and someone breaks into my house and steals it, I call that slavery. It’s true he didn’t put me in chains or whip me, but he sure as heck made me work for him against my will.
.
When Mayor Rawlings-Blake got around to explaining why she wouldn’t even let the cops defend themselves against the creeps throwing bricks and bottles at them, she indicated it was because the mob mainly consisted of teenagers. My question is how do they really differ from the other slacker males in the community who go through life sponging off the taxpayer, and never expressing anything but contempt for all us suckers who keep them housed, clothed and fed, so that periodically they can take to the streets and riot on behalf of some good-for-nothing like Rodney King, Michael Brown or Eric Garner?
.
Speaking of which, is it just coincidental that those shot down in the line of duty by police officers are, nearly without exception, young black males avoiding arrest? I mean, if white cops were as bigoted as the race hustlers keep insisting, wouldn’t they once in a while shoot a black doctor, a black accountant or a black auto mechanic? Could it possibly be that those people never have occasion to run from the cops?
.
♦ What’s more, isn’t it just possible that honest black men have as little to fear from the police as honest white men? Or at least honest white men who don’t happen to be conservatives living in Wisconsin. In case you missed the news because such things are of no interest to the mainstream media, a number of people in the state who supported Scott Walker have had their homes invaded by the cops.
.
As bad and as illegal as the invasions have been, what might be even worse is that the victims, whose only crime was donating money to Gov. Walker’s various campaigns, have been warned not to speak about these traumatic events, even to their lawyers. If the Justice Department didn’t have to answer to a thug named nObama, Loretta Lynch would devote her first month in office to indicting these Wisconsin prosecutors who seem to think that the job description includes behaving like a storm trooper. But, then, I have always said that lurking inside every liberal is a jack-booted Nazi screaming in German to be let out.
.
♦ Of course when you check out the federal government, you can see where these prosecutorial cheese heads get their nutty ideas. For as you may have noticed, the feds have a lot to say when it comes to the things our children eat and drink, as well as the toys they play with; especially if those toys even slightly resemble guns. As the self-righteous bureaucrats keep telling us, their sole concern is the health and safety of the kids.
.
With boneheads like these running the education industry, it’s no surprise that if a youngster eats a pop tart in such a way that at some point it looks anything like a pistol – a strawberry-filled pistol, but a pistol nevertheless -- he will be suspended from school and perhaps be compelled to undergo psychological evaluation. However, if a few years earlier, his mother had aborted him, those same degenerates would have given her a pat on the back and offered to pick up the tab.
.
Therefore, is it any surprise that a question that’s been plaguing me lately is: How can anyone successfully diagnose dementia in an aging liberal? I mean, what’s the tipoff? Do they suddenly wake up one day in their seventies or eighties and start making sense?

DHS Secretaries Warn of Increased Jihadi Threat

How’s Barack Obama doing on the counterterrorism front? Not very good, according to his own DHS secretary. Jeh Johnson warned Sunday that the U.S. faces an increased threat from so-called “lone-wolf” terrorists, who he says could “strike at any moment.” He added, “We’re very definitely in a new environment, because of ISIL’s effective use of social media, the Internet, which has the ability to reach into the homeland and possibly inspire others. Because of the use of the Internet, we could have little or no notice in advance of an independent actor attempting to strike.” Tom Ridge, the first DHS secretary, agreed, saying, “The threats are much more serious and much more complicated than on Sept. 12, 2001.”

But it’s worth repeating what Mark Alexander wrote: “Describing Islamist assailants as ‘lone wolf’ actors or ‘radicalized’ constitutes a lethal misunderstanding of the Jihadi threat.” That’s because “these attacks and those to come were and will be directly tied to worldwide Jihad by way of the Qur'an, the foundational fabric linking all Islamist violence.” As long as Obama continues to be more concerned about the Crusades than radical Islamic terrorism, however, this threat won’t be effectively countered.

Saudis Snub Obama Summit

What happens when a president holds a summit and no one comes? That wasn’t entirely the case with Barack Obama’s Middle East powwow at Camp David this week, but four of the six invited leaders declined to attend, including one particularly notable absence: New Saudi King Salman, who took power earlier this year. The New York Times reports, “Both countries insisted on Monday that the king’s absence was not a snub, even as it was hard to ignore four powerful factors that have led to rising tensions between the two nations: the administration’s pursuit of a nuclear accord with Iran, the rise of the Islamic State in the region, the regional unrest that came to be known as the Arab Spring and the transformation of world energy markets.” At least two of those things could be translated as Obama mucking things up with an ally, and the Times might add Obama’s Yemen “success” story to that list since the Saudis are trying to stop Iranian terrorist proxies there. His foolish nuclear deal with Iran even has the Saudis promising to pursue nuclear weapons themselves as a deterrent. Obama might be content with increasing Iranian hegemony in the Middle East, but the Saudis are not. And they know that as long as Obama is “leading from behind,” they’re on their own.

Forget Taxes, Obama’s Regulations Are Strangling the Economy

The wild creation of regulations by the Obama administration has stalled economic growth and made the nation’s rulemaking the responsibility of unelected bureaucrats. Two reports released this week show the staggering extent of how debilitating these regulations are. Every year, the Competitive Enterprise Institute releases its report on the nation’s “Ten Thousand Commandments.” This year, Clyde Wayne Crews, the vice president for policy for CEI, reports that the regulatory burden averages out to $14,976 per American household. If America’s regulations were a country, it would have the 10th largest economy, beating out India. Barack Obama has tied the country in red tape because, while 224 laws were passed in 2014, the government plastered up 3,554 regulations. Furthermore, “A problem with cost-benefit analysis is that it relies primarily on agency self-reporting. Having agencies audit their own rules is like asking students to grade their own exams. Regulators are disinclined to emphasize when a rule’s benefits do not justify its costs,” CEI’s study says.

These regulations make the federal deficit unmanageable, and The Wall Street Journal pins the problem of America’s stalled economy on too much regulation in the system. Meanwhile, aHeritage Foundation study finds that Obama’s major regulations cost Americans $80 billion a year — and there’s more regs in the works, such as another redesign of the light bulb. To fix the problem, Congress needs to insist that it is the lawmaking body of the country, not nameless bureaucrats in the executive branch.

FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

The Trouble With the NSA’s Haystack

By Paul Albaugh

2015-05-12-6e643a64_large.jpg

Terrorism has again become one of the foremost concerns for Americans today. People are generally worried about the increased jihadi threat and look to government to ensure safety and security. While the Constitution certainly empowers the federal government to provide for the common defense of our nation, including counterterrorism measures, what it should not do is infringe on the rights of American citizens — specifically, the Fourth Amendment.

Last week, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the National Security Agency’s massive telephone metadata collection efforts are not authorized by the Patriot Act. However, the court did not rule the NSA’s actions are unconstitutional and it did not issue an order for the NSA to stop its data collection because the Patriot Act’s Section 215, which the NSA cites as its authority, is set to expire June 1. In other words, Congress must act soon anyway, and a vote is expected by May 22.

That the NSA is collecting phone records on all Americans may not seem terribly important — especially the more the public becomes accustomed to the idea — but it’s a critical issue. Like so many other things during this administration’s tenure, it pertains to the very real potential, if not actual, abuse of power.

Recall that the Patriot Act was passed following the September 11 terrorist attacks. The law was sold as a necessary counterterrorism measure to provide for better security. By and large, the law is a good one, aimed in the right places. But as with so many other laws, sometimes the consequences are less freedom and more government overreach.

There has already been squabbling in Congress over the NSA’s data collection, and the Patriot Act debate is sure to resemble a hornet’s nest. It will also pit Republicans against each other.

Already, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who had hoped to avoid defending the NSA, announced his unwavering support for the Patriot Act. He touted Section 215 in particular as “an important tool to prevent the next terrorist attack.” He also said, “Section 215 helps us find a needle in the haystack. But under the USA Freedom Act [which ends bulk metadata collection], there might not be a haystack at all.” He is hoping for a short-term extension that will allow the Senate to negotiate reforms.

Joining McConnell will be several other Republicans, led by the “nobody out-hawks us” John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Graham is expected to announce his candidacy for president on June 1, and may very well use his support of the Patriot Act as a launch pad for his national-security-based campaign.

Meanwhile, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), another 2016 presidential candidate, staunchly opposes the NSA surveillance program. In fact, after the Second Circuit’s ruling, he declared, “Congress should immediately repeal the Patriot Act provisions and pass my Fourth Amendment Preservation and Protection Act.” He intends to mount a filibuster against reauthorizing the Patriot Act.

Paul won’t be alone, as other conservatives are likely to join the fight and at least one Democrat, Senator Ron Wyden from Oregon, has voiced opposition to the NSA surveillance program as well.

In 2013, Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), chief author of the Patriot Act, explained the difference between the law itself and the NSA’s interpretation: “This is the difference between using a rifle shot to get the phone records of somebody that we have great suspicion is involved in terrorist activity [and] using a blunderbuss to grab the whole haystack and to try to find the needle in it.” His metaphor wasn’t the best, but he clearly never intended the NSA’s broad reading of Section 215.

After all, as Reason’s Jacob Sullum notes, “Usually when someone says a proposal is like looking for a needle in a haystack, he is not recommending it; he is suggesting the idea is misguided and bound to fail.”

While we don’t like to see GOP infighting, at least they will be wrestling over an issue that pertains to the Constitution.

With all of the Obama administration’s scandals and abuse of power, why should Congress trust that the NSA surveillance program won’t be abused for political means? There is certainly a place for tough counterterrorism measures, but such sweeping collection of phone records when there is no relevance or reasonable grounds to believe a call is linked to terrorism is unwarranted, unconstitutional and unwanted by those of us who cherish Liberty. The Patriot Act has its place, but the balance between Liberty and security is paramount.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Stephen Moore: “What can be done to rescue families trapped in an inner-city culture of violence, despair and joblessness? There are no easy answers, but down the road from Baltimore in Washington, D.C., an education program is giving children in poor neighborhoods a big lift up. The D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program, which George W. Bush signed into law in 2004, has so far funded private school tuition for nearly 5,000 students, 95 percent of whom are African-American. … These families have now pulled together to brace for a David vs. Goliath fight to save the program. For the seventh straight year, President Obama has proposed eliminating this relatively tiny scholarship fund, which at $20 million accounts for a microscopic 0.0005 percent of the $4 trillion federal budget. … [W]hen the Opportunity Scholarship Program was created, the feds gave $20 million for the vouchers and an extra $20 million for the public schools. This meant more money for the public schools — and unionized teachers still opposed the program. … The left’s rote response to rotten schools is to call for more money, but the D.C. scholarship program shows that a quality education can be had for less money. … Democrats say they want to make the 2016 election about income inequality, but they stand united in opposition to one of the most effective ways of reducing the gap between rich and poor: better education.”

Upright: “Unfortunately, Eric Holder, the previous attorney general, had a war on police. He spent more time investigating police departments than he did investigating criminals.” —former NYPD Commissioner Howard Safir

Dezinformatsia: “Senator [Cruz], people are really interested in you and your identity. … Do you have a favorite Cuban food? Do you like Cuban music? Do you have a favorite Cuban singer? I wanted to give you the opportunity to welcome your colleague Senator Sanders to the race, and I’d like you to do it, if you would, en Español.” —Bloomberg News' Mark Halperin race baiting Ted Cruz (Halperin later reneged, claiming, “In no way was I asking Senator Cruz to ‘prove’ he was an ‘authentic’ Latino.”)

Demo-gogues: “We’re going to have to tackle climate change. We’ve got some folks in the center right now who think because we get a snowy day, they bring in snowballs into the chambers and think that’s science. I’m not a scientist, but I know a lot of scientists. I can understand science. And what the science says is that our planet is warming.” —Barack Obama (“After all, you hang out with scientists all day. You know… scientists like Bill Nye and Neil Tyson. Just because one is a washed up host of children’s shows and the other is a cosmologist who seems a bit out of his lane when speaks about climatology, don’t let that bother you.” —Hot Air’s Jazz Shaw)

Race bait: “The road ahead is not going to be easy. It never is, especially for folks like you and me… We’ve both felt the sting of those daily slights throughout our entire lives. The folks who crossed the street in fear of their safety. The clerk who kept a close eye on us in all those department stores. The people at formal events who assumed we were help.” —Michelle Obama

And last… “Hillary would be indicted already If the press used the same standard of circumstantial evidence against her it’s using against Tom Brady.” —Twitter satirist @hale_razor

TRADE ROILS BOTH PARTIES AS AIR nOBAMA HEADS TO  NIKE
As he laces up to tout his trade deal at Nike’s Oregon headquarters – an intriguing choice given the company’s sweat-shop past – President nObama’s push for fast track authority is proving to be far from a slam dunk in Congress. Indeed, with nObama pressing reluctant Democrats, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell and Speaker backstabber
John Boehner are trying put a buzzer beater. But opposition to the deal is stiff on both sides of the aisle and the pact is no more popular with Sixteeners of both stripes. Breaking with GOP frontrunners who support the deal, presidential candidate Mike Huckabee trash-talked the trade pact, warning that American workers could “take it up the backside” under the current proposal. “Fast-track means nobody’s paying attention,” Huckabee said. Among Democrats, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Gov. Martin O’Malley are strongly opposed. And where is Hilly Clinton in all this? On the bench, where she says she’s “watching closely.”  -Fox News

Why Nike? -   National Journal takes a detailed look at the apparel giant, which is headquartered in the U.S. but does most of its business overseas: “Nike made $12.4 billion in profits last year, thanks in large part to 1 million subcontracted workers at factories primarily in low-wage countries in Asia. For years, the company has faced allegations that a number of those factories use sweatshop conditions and illegally low wages to produce sneakers and clothes that Nike then sells in much wealthier countries.”  -Fox News

WITH YOUR SECOND CUP OF COFFEE
One of the most famous photographs in sports journalism is of the 1965 game between rival schools Deerfield Academy and Mount Hermon in which the game went on before full stands as a huge fire consumed Mount Hermon’s science building right behind the bleachers. Would you like to know the story behind the famous photo? NYT has the details: “Halftime came. Officials conferred about how to handle the nettlesome situation. In a decision that surely would not be made in today’s safety-conscious, litigious world, they decided it would be better if the teams just carried on. ‘We were told to suck it up and play,’ [one Mount Hermon player] recalled.”

The Chart That Puts the Lie to the Media’s Overhyped Employment #s
Unemployment v workforce participation
According to Zero Hedge, the number of Americans not participating in the labor force has reached another record: 93,194,000...

Compare this with the unemployment rate, and there’s a problem: “Unemployment” shouldn’t fall as the number of people in the work force also falls... With unemployment back down to 5.4%, nearly pre-recession levels, why are there more Americans out of the workforce than at any time since 1977? http://www.ijreview.com/2015/05/317542-unemployment-goes-even-though-americans-leaving-workforce-entirely/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

nObama’s TPP Secret Trade Deal Dilemma – Truth Equals No Deal
(rickwells.us) - The cause and source of the growing consternation over the secret Trans-Pacific Partnership treaty is Hussein nObama himself and it results from his insistence that it remain secret... While he claims the secrecy is a security measure intended to protect the still-ongoing negotiations, that lie is easily exposed. If that were truly the case, one would only need to wait until those negotiations were completed and then reveal the deal in its entirety to Congress as well as to the American people. There is no urgency and certainly is no justification for signing a major international treaty without knowing what it contains other service to the international corporations and political financiers who crafted it. The Republicans prostitutes such as Mitch McCon-nell (R-KY), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), John Con-nelly (R-TX) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) are supporting the anti-American efforts of Obama and obediently following the instructions of their financial masters.       http://rickwells.us/obamas-tpp-secret-trade-deal-dilemma-truth-equals-no-deal-secrecy-raises-legitimate-fears/

Refugees – Secret nObama Program Threatens Communities
(rickwells.us) - What is a typical red-blooded American who is concerned about distant, largely unaccountable bureaucrats destroying their quality of life by polluting their community with unassimilated third-world peasants do to find out what the federal government has in store?... The unpleasant reality is there is not much that can be done. Our imperial government is no longer accountable to the people. WND reports that there is presently a flow of approximately 100,000 Muslims per year, most from countries with a demonstrated terrorist presence or threat. There are 190 communities in America that have been selected with no local community input or involvement, as dumping grounds for imported foreigners of every conceivable description. Those Americans who live in the areas in which the dumping is taking place, including their elected representatives, have found themselves powerless to do anything to prevent it or to even get any information. The Iraqi Christian nun, Sister Diana Momeka (left), this month received a visa to visit the U.S. as part of a delegation of foreign religious leaders. The State Dept. had originally denied her visa request, only allowing in non-Christian delegates. Last year, the United States Institute for Peace invited to the U.S. the Muslim governors of Nigeria's northern states, but the sole Christian governor, Plateau State Gov. Jonah David Jang (right), was denied a visa.
U.S. State Dept. Invites Muslim Leaders, Denies Christians

Report: nObama lied about bin Laden raid
(gopthedailydose.com) - The Hill An expose published on Sunday alleges that President nObama deceived Americans with his narrative of the 2011 assassination of Osama bin Laden. Author Seymour M. Hersh accuses nObama of rushing to take credit for the al Qaeda leader’s death... This decision, Hersh argues in the London Review of Books, forced the military and intelligence communities to scramble and then corroborate the president’s version of events. “High-level lying nonetheless remains the modus operandi of U.S. policy, along with secret prisons, drone attacks, Special Forces night raids, bypassing the chain of command, and cutting out those who might say no,” Hersh wrote of the nObama administration’s counter terrorism policies.       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/10/report-obama-lied-about-bin-laden-raid/

nObama Pulling Out All Stops To Secure Dictatorial Trade Authority
(rickwells.us) - On Tuesday, a bill designed to confer trade promotion authority on President nObama, known as “fast-track,” will come before the Senate... nObama and his administration have been working overtime to convince recalcitrant Democrats loyal to labor unions not to abandon him in the House and Senate and work with the GOP to defeat the bill. nObama even has given lawmakers rides on Air Force One to convince them. The bill would allow nObama to negotiate and sign trade agreements without Congressional oversight. Congress would get only 90 days to ready itself for a yea or nay vote, and could not amend any deal or filibuster it — although if a trade accord displeases Congress, it could revoke the president’s authority, and then amend the deal.        http://rickwells.us/obama-pulling-out-all-stops-to-secure-dictatorial-trade-authority-from-congress-mcconnells-onboard/

 Republicans Turning Against Legal Immigration
(fixthisnation.com) - For the last decade, the immigration debate has centered around those who come to our country illegally and what should be done about them once they’re here... But while that battle rages on, some Republicans have decided that merely limiting illegal immigration is not enough. Both Senator Jeff Sessions and likely 2016 presidential candidate Scott Walker have proposed putting strict limits on legal immigration as well. “The next president and the next congress,” said Walker, “need to make decisions about a legal immigration system that’s based on, first and foremost, protecting American workers and American wages…we need to have that be at the forefront of our discussion going forward.” Republicans have conceded the “we’re a nation of immigrants” talking point for so long, it is almost shocking to see politicians talk like this. It’s refreshing for a couple of reasons. One, it uses a strategy liberals have perfected – moving back the line of negotiation. When your starting point is: We should not let illegal immigrants into this country, the compromise becomes: Okay, we’ll let some of them in. When your starting point is: We should not let anyone into this country, the compromise could be: Okay, we’ll only let in the ones who go through the proper steps.       http://www.fixthisnation.com/conservative-breaking-news/republicans-turning-against-legal-immigration/

Questions Not Asked – Like “Why Aren’t You Protecting Homeland?
(rickwells.us) - The dull knife in the drawer, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, begins his conversation on the domestic terror threat by offering up two upcoming gatherings as potential terrorist targets... one celebrating the defeat of Nazi Germany and the other honoring fallen police officers. He wants us to know it’s not his fault that the terror threat has expanded exponentially; the Internet and Facebook did it. Of course, the fact that DHS, the State Department and the White House are engaged in a coordinated effort to flood the U.S. with foreigners of every description, many of whom are intent upon and quite capable of carrying out the acts being encouraged in social media isn’t brought up for discussion. Johnson acknowledged that the problems are being faced by local law enforcement, the ones who will, in conjunction with the American citizens, be forced to deal directly with the threat of what Johnson likes to describe as “lone wolves,” many of whom were not born in the United States. This Jeh must go in 2016.        http://rickwells.us/the-questions-not-asked-like-why-arent-you-protecting-the-homeland-mr-dhs-secretary/

 American Media's Dangerous Fixation
(Jeff Allen) - Now that the dust is finally beginning to settle, most people like myself have had some time to process the deranged (but thankfully thwarted) terrorist act of violence and the ensuing Muslim uproar... sparked by what initially began as a not-so-highly publicized Muhammad drawing cartoon contest sponsored by Pamela Geller, President of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), and Jihad Watch at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. The thing about this entire incident that should strike everyone as most appalling is the mainstream media meltdown subsequent to the murderous rampage that was carried out against the event on May 3rd by two ISIS-supporting madmen. A countless throng of our nation’s “talking heads” were spinning in overdrive, and like some sort of rapid response team or pro-Muslim war room, they promptly and predictably sprang into damage control mode in an effort to placate and pacify the apoplectic adherents to the ostensible religion of peace who apparently hold to a faith so fragile and easily offended that it can’t even withstand the slightest modicum of scrutiny. However, since mocking the beliefs of non-Christians usually proves counterproductive when it comes to winning them to the Christ, the primary focus of this column will therefore be to shine a light upon the flagrant hypocrisy of the Left-slouching American media as demonstrated during the cartoon controversy.       http://barbwire.com/2015/05/11/0900-american-medias-dangerous-fixation-with-all-things-muslim-and-homosexual/

Does ISIS Operate in the U.S. and Europe?
(Elliot Friedland) - When there is a terrorist attack and the Islamic State claims responsibility questions are immediately raised. How is Islamic State, the world’s most wanted organization, able to project its power around the world... and carry out terrorist attacks without the knowledge of the many security services tasked with tracking the group? The short answer is that they don’t. The Islamic State encourages its supporters to carry out attacks anywhere and at any time, without getting in touch with central command. For example, in the latest issue of the Islamic State’s glossy propaganda magazine Dabiq, the Tunisian jihadist Abu Muqatil exhorted ISIS supporters in France to kill the unbelievers immediately.       http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/islamic-state-%E2%80%93-organization-west

What Assata Taught Me
Michelle Malkin
.
assata
(freedomsback.com) - “What Assata taught me” is the new “Hands up, don’t shoot.”
.
For $35, you, too, can sport a politically correct black hoodie emblazoned with a fugitive convicted murderer’s name. Assata’s apparel is the new rage among perpetually enraged Baltimore and Ferguson social justice warriors. It won’t be long now before hipster actresses and cable news progressives are Instagramming themselves wearing this latest entry in radical chic to show their “solidarity.”
.
Here’s what Assata taught me: The left’s sick fetish for cop-killers is still going strong after four decades of violence, bloodshed, bigotry and excuses. The timing couldn’t be more blood-boiling. As the relatives, friends and colleagues of NYPD Officer Brian Moore, 25, prepare to bury their hero on Friday after he was brazenly shot in the face this weekend by a thug with a long rap sheet and a deep hatred of police, Assata’s army remains as militant as ever.
.
“Assata” is Assata Shakur, a.k.a. Joanne Chesimard. Forty-two years ago this week, the radical black leader shot and killed New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster execution-style during a traffic stop. The gunfight also left her brother-in-law, Black Liberation Army leader Zayd Malik Shakur, dead. At the time, the BLA had been tied to the murders of more than 10 police officers across the country. Before Chesimard’s shootout, the BLA had ambushed two pairs of NYPD officers in a 48-hour spree, killing two of them; murdered another cop in Atlanta; and executed another pair of NYPD officers in 1972.
.
Chesimard, Zayd Shakur and another member were wanted for questioning in the murder of two of those cops when they were stopped.
.
Just as New York City has endured the targeted assassinations of three officers (Moore, Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos) in the past five months by vengeful black assailants — plus the hatchet jihad attack last October that wounded Officer Kenneth Healey in the head and slashed Officer Joseph Meeker in the arm — the nation endured a “terror and chaos” campaign by the BLA aimed at “assassinating law enforcement officers” between 1968 and 1973 and again in 1981.
.
Chesimard was convicted and sentenced to life in 1977, but escaped from prison two years later with help from violent leftwing accomplices. Chesimard’s colleague, BLA killer Tyrone Rison, admitted to participating in a series of armored-car robberies, including a $250,000 heist in the Bronx in June 1981, which left a Brink’s guard dead. Rison also confessed to taking part in the planning of the Rockland County, N.Y., $1.6 million Brink’s robbery by leftwing domestic terrorists in October 1981. Police officers Waverly Brown and Edward O’Grady and Brink’s guard Peter Paige were murdered during the siege. Chesimard’s brother, Jeral Wayne Williams (a.k.a. Mutulu Shakur), was the convicted ringleader of the group responsible for murdering those law enforcement officers; he also masterminded Chesimard’s escape. His release is set for February 2016.
.
Chesimard has lived comfortably in Cuba ever since her escape thanks to the generosity of Fidel Castro. The cop-killer diva has been hailed by rappers Jay-Z and Common — and now she’s a hoodie heroine. Assata is, plain and simple, a domestic terrorist who represents lawless hatred of the police. There has been no peace for the families of those whose loved ones sacrificed their lives on the front lines. Where is their justice?
.
Despite impassioned pleas for Assata Shakur’s extradition by law enforcement leaders in New York and New Jersey, the nObama White House has done nothing. Nada. The inaction speaks for itself. And his bland words of support for the police ring hollower than a hula hoop.
.
Before chumming it up with David Letterman and raising cash for the DNC on Monday, the president took a few seconds to pay obligatory tribute to fallen officer Brian Moore. He and his fellow cops, nObama mumbled, “deserve our gratitude and our prayers, not just today, but every day.” Stuff it. By his inaction on long-festering anti-police vigilantism, it’s clear which side the social-justice warrior in chief stands on: the side of Assata, Castro and the cop-hating mob.

add-1.jpg?width=253Saturday night, at about 8:30pm, a Hattiesburg police officer made a routine traffic stop…called for another officer to assist and moments after the second officer arrived, both officers, Benjamin Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 25…one black, the other white…had been shot and killed.

Three people were arrested early Sunday morning in connection with the murders…brothers Marvin and Curtis Banks and a woman…Joanie Calloway. Marvin Banks and Joanie Calloway have been charged with two counts each of capital murder while Curtis Banks has been charged with two counts of being an accessory, after the fact, to capital murder.

Another man, Cornelius Clark was arrested later on Sunday and he has been charged with obstruction of justice according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

All four suspects are black and the Banks brothers are your standard issue street thugs…Marvin Banks having been convicted of being in possession of stolen property in 2010, sentenced to one year and one day with four years of probation which was revoked sending him back to prison on a three year stint. Marvin Banks was released in June, 2012, placed in a supervised release program that ended just one year ago in May 2014.

While ON that supervised release, both Marvin and his brother Curtis were charged with selling crack cocaine in 2013.

Both the Banks brothers have been arrested over the years on a variety of charges including multiple weapons charges, drug charges and both have a string of felony convictions.

Every time some street thug…

 Surprise! British Conservatives Win Election
The Conservative Party won an absolute majority in Parliament in Great Britain's elections Thursday, ensuring not only that Prime Minister David Cameron will still reside at 10 Downing Street but that the party can govern alone after five years in a coalition. The results confounded British pollsters, who had predicted a tight race and perhaps even a loss for Conservatives, also called Tories. (Completely wrong polls sound quite familiar.) But National Review's Andrew Stuttaford has a theory: "Where did the pollsters go wrong? Probably by underestimating the amount of ‘shy Tories’ that there are. Brits should pause to think of what it says about the country’s intellectual climate that so many voters on one side of the aisle are unwilling to disclose their voting preferences." That, too, sounds sadly familiar.
Cameron ran on a referendum of the Tories' record of turning around the nation’s economy. He defeated Ed Milliband, whose leftist Labour Party promised a return to a more robust, government-led agenda that would increase spending on entitlements. Labour's loss was largely attributable to Scotland, where the Scottish National Party took 56 of 59 seats in a typical Labour stronghold. That could mean a new push for Scottish independence, though Cameron could perhaps head that off with a British version of American federalism, shifting more power to the four home nations of the United Kingdom.
Next up: a referendum by 2017 on British membership in the European Union.

Lynch Signals Her 'Solutions' to Fixing Unrest in Baltimore
Before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies, newly minted Attorney General Loretta Lynch outlined her proposed budget for the Department of Justice, backing rhetoric with proposed dollars for fixing the unrest in places like Baltimore. First, Lynch proposed boosting the money going to the Community Relations Service, a program arising out of the Civil Rights Act designed to smooth over racial and ethnic tension. But when the CRS glided into Ferguson last year, National Review's Ryan Lovelace reported that it lectured residents on "white privilege" and the first town hall meetings disintegrated into shouting. Lynch also announced a proposed $69.5 million boost to the Community Oriented Policing Services to make America's police force more diverse. "Again, it is efforts like these that may help to prevent situations like those in Ferguson and Baltimore," Lynch said in her written testimony to the committee. Finally, the two-week-old AG suggested she will announce a DOJ probe investigating if Baltimore's police department used excessive force. Lynch is doubling down and asking for more funding for the failed programs of the past, the very programs that didn't prevent the problems we have now. More...  -The Patriot Post

UNCOVERED AUDIO: HILLY WAS ‘ADAMANTLY AGAINST  ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS’
The RNC today is shelling presumptive Democratic nominee Hilly Clinton in her bunker with newly uncovered audio from a 2003 radio interview she gave as a senator. Apparently asked about the issue of illegal immigration, which was a hot button in the state at the time, Clinton swung hard: “I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants.” Clinton, on the campaign trail in Nevada Wednesday, promised to push for citizenship for those in the country illegally. She also vowed to go beyond President nObama’s executive amnesty for an estimated 5 million illegal immigrants if Republicans do not acquiesce. nObama’s order has so far been blocked by federal courts.
In the audio from the RNC of what the committee says is Clinton’s interview with radio host John Gambling, Clinton calls for more border security and for employers to stop hiring illegal immigrants. “Come up to Westchester, go to Suffolk and Nassau counties, stand in the street corners in Brooklyn or the Bronx,” she is heard to complain “You’re going to see loads of people waiting to get picked up to go do yard work and construction work and domestic work.”  -Fox News

CLINTONS GET CREATIVE ON CAMPAIGN CASH: IF  DISCLOSURE ‘LOOKS BAD,’ DON’T DISCLOSE
If you thought that Hilly Clinton would be more bashful about buckraking given the current scandals surrounding her family finances and those of its foundation, you haven’t been paying attention. Clinton is vacuuming up money in California this week, but behind the scenes her campaign is busy blurring lines on campaign cash. First, Clinton will do what Democrats once reviled and raise cash for her super PACPresident nObama endorsed his super PAC, but stopped short of plumping for checks. (Candidates can’t legally make the ask, but they can probably stand next to the guy with his hand out – wink-wink, nudge-nudge – and swear up and down that they are not coordinating their efforts.)
Second, Clinton is so far not disclosing the identities of the bundlers, the mostly wealthy partisans who collect checks from their friends for campaigns. You know –bundlers. Releasing the names is not a legal requirement, but it has been standard practice for presidential candidates of both parties. You’d think Clinton would want to be more forthcoming about where her money comes from these days. But as her husband said, “Any kind of disclosure is a target” that it “looks bad.” So the answer to the lengthening list of questions for the candidate and her campaign is less disclosure and more blurry fundraising lines.

(rickwells.us) - Justice Department lawyers representing the nObama regime in their defense ofdictatorial amnesty admitted on Thursday that the regime had once again “mislead” the court and violated the court injunction which had ordered a halt to the implementation of illegal amnesty... Lawyers for the lawless nObama regime stated that the Department of Homeland “Security,” the defendant in the case, had approved approximately 2,000 three-year work permits for illegals after Judge Hanen had issued his February 16th injunction prohibiting it. The attorneys, who must now face an even more displeased Judge Andrew Hanen directly, have already mislead him on two previous occasions and face potential sanctions. They claim to have only learned of the latest violation on Wednesday, the day before they notified the court.        http://rickwells.us/obama-and-dhs-outlaws-above-the-law-above-congress-and-now-above-the-judiciary/

DHS Caught & Admits Illegals transported to "Detention Centers"
(rickwells.us) - The driver or ICE, maybe a Border Patrol Agent, whoever he was, might have said more than he’s supposed to but he admitted that the people he just finished dropping off at a detention facility in Victorville, CA were Somalis... who have been coached to ask for asylum in the new, lawless United States. Maybe it wasn’t a good career move for him to admit that he’s being ordered to facilitatethe import of potential terrorists into the United States by the very organization that is supposed to be protecting us. Sometimes patriotism dictates actions that ruffle thefeathers of the traitors in the upper echelons of America’s hijacked government. As it turns out, what was happening was exactly what Anita Fuentes thought it was when she saw and recorded it.        http://rickwells.us/importing-terrorist-refugees-homeland-security-bus-transports-illegal-somalis-who-appeared-at-border/

Saudi Arabia Plans To Behead the Ayatollah Next Week
(Walid Shoebat) - There are only 47 Ayatollahs in the world and 17 of them are assigned to 8 Muslim countries outside Iran. The title Ayatollah is from Arabic: آيةالله‎, āyatu allah "Sign of Allah,"... and is the highest ranking title given to Usuli Twelver Shī'ah clerics after the Grand Ayatollah and are considered experts in Islamic jurisprudence, ethics, and philosophy. Last October, Saudi Arabia's Special Criminal Court sentenced Ayatollah Nimr Baqir al-Nimr, the Ayatollah appointed in Saudi Arabia to represent the Shiites, to death and the Arabic BBC today reported that based on FARS News Agency and other Middle Eastern media, that the execution will be carried out next week on the 14th of May, 2015. The best way to relate this story to the western mindset is perhaps to compare the feud between the English and the Scottish, where William Wallace had become the hated enemy of King Edward I, who eventually had Wallace beheaded. Nimr, according to the Saudi Kingdom was a cause of much controversy for leading a Shiite uprising within the Sunni kingdom.       http://freedomoutpost.com/2015/05/leaked-saudi-arabia-plans-to-behead-the-ayatollah-next-week/

nObama’s Self Portrayal As A “Benevolent Dictator”
(Irickwells.us) - t’s kind of along the line of thought that murderers are just like non-murderers, except that they’ve killed somebody. At a fundraiser in Portland, OR yesterday, the King of corruption... who illegally maneuvered his way into the White House six long years ago, explained why federal laws only apply if he agrees with them. By distorting the facts and eliminating common sense and reason, nObama makes the argument that illegal invaders, at least those he decides to exempt from the law, are “Americans just like our kids, except they don’t have the right documents.” A head’s up to the self-adoring, enlightened usurper; if they don’t have the right documents, it’s because they aren’t Americans, and that is what makes them “not just like our kids.” Grand illegal proclamations don’t change that, although illegal violations of our laws may. What planet does this jerk lives on, anyway?        http://rickwells.us/obamas-self-portrayal-as-a-benevolent-dictator-who-can-see-beyond-stupid-laws-to-the-right-thing-to-do/

Obama’s NSA Spying Program Declared Illegal
nObama’s NSA Spying Program Declared Illegal
(Brian Darling) - President nObama’s program to spy on all Americans has been declared illegal by a federal court of appeals... This is a very interesting development considering that Congress is weeks away from having to deal with expiring provisions of the so-called “PATRIOT Act.” The Hill reports, “the decision from the Second Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday represents the second major court victory for opponents of the NSA, after a lower court decision called the program nearly unconstitutional six months ago.” The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals declared that the National Security Agency spying program “exceeds the scope” of the law.   http://humanevents.com/2015/05/07/obamas-nsa-spying-program-declared-illegal/?utm_source=hedaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

WAKE UP! Democratic Party Support Of Israel Died Twenty Years Ago
(Jeff Dunetz) - There are some silly political myths in America today, things like the U.S. government was behind the twin towers attack on 9/11, Barack nObama was born in Kenya (or was it the planet Qo'noS), and/or George Bush knew that Iraq had no WMDs he just wanted to finish the job his father didn't... Perhaps the most ridiculous myth is believed the most;  the issue of support of Israel is bi-partisan and should remain that way. The truth is Israel is not a bi-partisan issue and hasn't been bi-partisan for over two decades. On Thursday House Democrats once again proved that Democratic Party support of Israel is not strong. On the same day as the watered down Corker-Menendez Bill requiring a congressional vote on any Iran deal was passed by the Senate, 150 out of the 188 Democrats in congress sent the president a letter supporting his flawed framework for agreement with Iran, a framework which disagrees with the understanding of the deal as published by both Iran and France. No Republicans signed the letter.   http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2015/05/time-to-wake-updemocratic-party-support.html?utm_source=The+Lid+List&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=6b3f28a5cb-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_term=0_597b72c01c-6b3f28a5cb-291705165&goal=0_597b72c01c-6b3f28a5cb-291705165

The Difference Between Islam and Islamism?
(Uzay Bulut) - Pressures against non-Muslims in Turkey are actually empowered, motivated and even led by state policies... There also does not seem to be any interest or pluralistic mentality in enforcing non-Islamic laws. To understand the root cause of social intolerance and institutionalized violence, it is important to look more closely at how Islamic scriptures refer to non-Muslims. These labels and lies, fed to Muslims from earliest childhood, apparently do not go away easily in the minds of indoctrinated Muslims. For those who oppose Islamic rule, there are only three options: They are either to be killed; made to accept their inferior status through conversion to Islam, or keep their heritage but pay the jizya, the Islamic "protection" tax."       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5695/islam-islamism-difference

nObama in Secret on a Climate Change Treaty to Redistribute wealth
(Sara Noble) - Barack nObama is negotiating a climate change treaty in secret. He is not discussing the treaty with congress but with some of the world’s most oppressive foreign leaders in the U.N... The treaty would require the U.S. to donate resources and wealth to the world’s developing countries to be distributed by the statists in the U.N. If this happened six years ago, we might say it’s pure fiction, but it’s not and it’s the world we now live in under Barack nObama. Congress will be bypassed and the Senate has already shown its willingness to cede its authority over treaties to Barack nObama. They are doing it in the case of the Iran nuclear deal and appear ready to give nObama fast track authority over the Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty. Perhaps the most dangerous treaty, however, will be that of climate change.        http://www.independentsentinel.com/obamas-working-in-secret-on-a-climate-change-treaty-to-redistribute-u-s-wealth-to-the-u-n/

Judge Jeanine “Pam Geller Opened Our Eyes
(gopthedailydose.com) - On Saturday, the Fox News Channel’s “Justice with Judge Jeanine” host Judge Jeanine Pirro argued the US should “stop blaming the victim... and start killing the murderers” in her opening statement on the Mohammed Art Exhibit and Contest. Pirro stated, “You know, free speech in america is non-negotiable. No matter what the perceived consequences, no matter the worry about retribution from Islamic extremists, period, end of the story.       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/10/judge-jeanine-pam-geller-opened-our-eyes-and-teed-up-the-discussion-about-whether-free-speech-in-america-survives-the-pushback-from-sharia-law/

Will ISIS' Demise Come in the Courts?

Will ISIS' Demise Come in the Courts?
.
(ewishworldreview.com) - A U.S. government commission is calling for international prosecution of the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, over the militant group's attacks on Christians and other religious minorities in Iraq and Syria.
.
The request is a first for the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom in its 2015 report on the state of religious freedom around the world.
.
But the independent commission's chairman sees some areas of optimism despite the extreme strains on world religious freedom from "non-state actors" such as ISIS and the persecution of Christians and others in the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia.
.
"In some senses, I'm more optimistic about U.S. policy" because a new State Department ambassador covering the area has a strong track record on religious liberty issues, said Katrina Lantos Swett, a human rights activist who chairs USCIRF.
.
Lantos Swett also said positive signs could be found in the recent peaceful transition between elected governments in Nigeria, positive actions by the new government of Sri Lanka in the area of religious freedom and the interest of other governments and parliaments worldwide in the subject.
.
The 17-year-old commission was created by the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act and "monitors the universal right to freedom of religion or belief abroad." The panel offers policy recommendations to the president, secretary of state and Congress, according to its website.
.
Among the key issues highlighted in the annual report are reactions to blasphemy laws in several Islamic countries; the displacement of Christians and other religious minorities in Iraq, Syria, Nigeria and the Central African Republic, as well as Burma; and the rise of non-state actors who are often "among the primary perpetrators of egregious religious freedom and human rights violations," as a summary of the report's findings noted.
.
CALL FOR PROSECUTION
.
The USCIRF report contains the call for the International Criminal Court to bring charges against the Islamic State for attacks on religious and ethnic minorities in Iraq and Syria. "The non-state actors choose to be more brutal and more unrestrained in the actions that they take against targeted groups," Lantos Swett said. "When you are dealing in a world where uncontrolled, uncontainable and extremely violent non-state actors are ranging so freely … that has created an even more frightening situation for religious freedom."
.
"When you have that many people fleeing religious conflicts and ethnic cleansing, it's not only a tragedy in its own right, but also incredibly destructive to the region," Lantos Swett said. The situation "is also a humanitarian crisis and has created a political uncertainty and volatility that puts the whole region at risk."
.
The dysfunctional Central African Republic's government, Lantos Swett said, has created a "religiously motivated humanitarian crisis" involving the displacement of 1 million people in religious conflicts between Muslims and Christians.
.
In Nigeria, she said, the actions of Boko Haram, widely described as an Islamist extremist group, have created similar displacements among Christians in parts of the country.
.
COUNTRIES OF CONCERN
.
According to the USCIRF report, the Asian nation of Burma, formerly known as Myanmar, remains a concern where 140,000 Rohingya Muslims and at least 100,000 largely Kachin Christians are internally displaced. The Rohingya have been forced to flee their homes, the report stated.
.
"While the government, at times, denounced violence and incitement, its lack of strong and consistent leadership to condemn intolerance enabled abuses to continue relatively unchecked," USCIRF stated. "Throughout 2014, the expansion of Internet availability and social media played a role in propagating expressions of hatred and spurring violence directed against minority populations."
.
Since 1999, the State Department has designated Burma a "country of particular concern" over its human rights violations, and USCIRF recommends continuing that status.
.
The commission's report noted that Turkmenistan, which has enacted harsh laws governing religious expression, was added to the list of CPC-designated states in 2014.
.
The commission report said that China, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Uzbekistan were also named to the State Department's CPC list, while recommendations to add the Central African Republic, Egypt, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Syria, Tajikistan and Vietnam have not yet been implemented.
.
IMPROVING PICTURE
.
Lantos Swett said she was encouraged by the confirmation of Rabbi David Saperstein, an activist in the Reform Judaism community, as U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom. Attached to the State Department and only an ex-officio member of USCIRF, Saperstein has roots in the commission, she said.
.
Saperstein is an "excellent new Ambassador-at-Large, who served as chair of USCIRF in its very early years. He is someone who has a deep personal commitment to the cause of religious freedom and appreciates the independent voice USCIRF brings to the discussion," Lantos Swett said.
.
"I am more optimistic about religious freedom issues receiving more attention and more focus with (him) in place" at the State Department, she said.
.
The USCIRF chairman said she "very much appreciated" the attention President nObama paid to religious freedom in India, both in his January 2015 visit and in remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast in February. She said she was pleased the president emphasized that "India's continued success as the world's largest democracy depends on 'not being splintered along the lines of faith.'"
.
The commission report is one of two the United States issues annually on the subject of global religious freedom. The State Department's own International Religious Freedom Report, also mandated by the 1998 act that established USCIRF, generally follows the release of the commission's report. While there is often broad agreement between the two documents, some critics have noted differences in emphasis, such as which countries the secretary of state designates as those of "particular concern."
.
Action in the current Congress may reshape the mechanics of how the U.S. approaches international religious freedom issues in the years to come. The Frank R. Wolf International Religious Freedom Act of 2015, which passed a House subcommittee this month, would "improve U.S. religious freedom diplomacy efforts globally; better train and equip diplomats to counter extremism; address anti-Semitism and religious persecution, and mitigate sectarian conflict," according to a news release supporting the measure.
.
The bill would create an interagency committee charged with developing a global strategy for promoting religious freedom as well as allow the president to sanction individuals for religious freedom violations, according to Deseret News columnist Jay Evensen. The measure is named in honor of former Rep. Frank R. Wolf, R-Va., who championed religious liberty during his 34 years in the House.
.
She added that the displacement of minority religious communities in the Middle East — involving Christians, Yazidis, Assyrians and others — was another pernicious situation. USCIRF reported more than 2 million persons had been internally displaced in Iraq under the Islamic State offensive, while more than 6.5 million persons are internally displaced in Syria, along with 3.3 million Syrians who are now refugees in Turkey, Lebanon and elsewhere.
