Pakistan: Muslims tell Christian, “stop building churches or we will kill you”

What, then, should Javed David do in the face of this violent intimidation? He should stop building churches, right? Because if he continues to build churches, he will offend Muslims, and be needlessly provocative. Right? That is what the mainstream media has been telling us in the wake of our Muhammad cartoon contest: it offended […]

SNL skit depicts fear of drawing Muhammad

It’s funny, yes, but it isn’t really a parody or a lampoon at all. Most people today would be terrified to draw Muhammad, even for a million dollars. The aftermath of the jihad attack at our cartoon exhibit has shown the world that violent intimidation and threats work.

State Department Refuses to Investigate Clinton

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And even though the smoke is billowing out of the Clinton Foundation, the State Department says it won’t dig further into Hillary Clinton’s actions as secretary of state. “The State Department has not and does not intend to initiate a formal review, or to make a retroactive judgment about items that were not submitted during Secretary Clinton’s tenure,” spokesman Jeff Rathke said. State has the most information on Clinton’s actions — more than Congress — because she dumped 30,000 of her emails on the department before wiping her private hard drive clean. But it refuses to look deeper or give the emails to someone who will.

It’s common sense to be suspicious of the Clinton Foundation, given the kinds of reports coming out about the “charity.” According to the book “Clinton Cash” by Peter Schweizer, at least four members of the Clinton Foundation board were charged with financial crimes, including fraud and bribery. As for the uranium deal the State Department approved under Clinton’s leadership (the one that gave Russia control over much of the U.S.’s uranium reserves) the Kazakh official who helped broker the deal is serving a 14-year sentence for making corrupt uranium deals with foreign governments. Furthermore, the Clinton Foundation is unlikely to disappear if Clinton becomes president. After all, what’s first swinger Bill to do?

Six Baltimore Officers Fight Prosecution, Allege Overreach

The six Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray filed a motion Friday to dismiss the charges. “Rarely in the history of any criminal case has a prosecutor so directly maintained so many conflicts of interest,” the motion read. “Rarer still are instances where such clear conflict exists and a prosecutor steadfastly refuses to recuse him or herself. … This motion is being filed at this junction because the Defendants have grave concerns about the charging decisions which will be made in the near future and their ability to receive due process of the law.”

When State Attorney Marilyn Mosby charged the officers with everything from false imprisonment to second degree depraved heart murder, she told the people protesting police brutality, “I heard your call.” In doing so, she implied that she ignored her duty to uphold the law in favor of mob “justice.” Furthermore, the conflicts of interest are thick and damning. First, Mosby is married to the city councilman who represents the district where Gray was arrested and where the rioting was the worst. Second, the attorney for the Gray family is considered a mentor to Mosby. The charges from Mosby’s office were slapped together and fired off in such a shoddy manner that Mosby mistakenly accused two people who only shared the names of two of the officers. More…

Police Lives Matter

Sometimes cops protect and serve, and sometimes they need to be protected and served. A rookie Oklahoma City police officer found that to be true while pursuing a robbery suspect on foot. After becoming separated from his partner, Officer Adam Eller struggled with one of the suspects, who snatched Eller’s baton and beat him with it. An armed citizen came to the rescue, however, drawing his firearm, warning the assailant to stop, and holding him until police backup arrived. Eller likely owes his life to this good guy with a gun.

Two Hattiesburg, Mississippi, officers weren’t so fortunate. Officers Benjamin Deen, 34 with a wife and two kids, and Liquori Tate, a 25-year-old rookie, were conducting what they thought was a routine traffic stop when the vehicle occupants opened fire, wounding the officers. Both later died at a local hospital, the first deaths for the Hattiesburg Police in three decades.

We note these cases together for two reasons: First, the assailants in both cases were black, while two of the three officers were white. Profiling doesn’t happen without reason. Second, black lives matter, but so do police lives. Officers are human and capable of doing wrong, but they put their lives on the line for their communities, too.

FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

Destroying the Family to Achieve Utopia

By Arnold Ahlert

2015-05-11-ed50330f_large.jpg

For decades, progressives have embraced radical egalitarianism, a concept demanding the elimination of all differences in sex, race and class, and all the “inequality” such differences inevitably produce. Freedom and individuality would be completely crushed in the attempt to equalize outcomes, irrespective of vast differences in talent, ambition, physical attributes, etc. But leftists consider that a reasonable tradeoff to achieve their dream socialist utopia. They completely ignore the historical wreckage and the millions of deaths that have accompanied every attempt to make such concepts as sloth and ambition, or talent and a lack thereof, completely interchangeable in every “workers' paradise” where it was attempted.

Enter the latest promoters of egalitarian insanity: University of Warwick professor Adam Swift and his partner, University of Wisconsin-Madison professor Harry Brighouse. In an article published by the Australian Broadcasting Company (ABC), Swift and Brighouse bemoan the inequality that arises from the difference between good parents and bad ones. In 2014, their musings produced a book, “Family Values: The Ethics of Family-Child Relationships,” in which the duo attempt toexplain “why a child’s interest in autonomy severely limits parents' right to shape their children’s values, and why parents have no fundamental right to confer wealth or advantage on their children.”

Speaking with the ABC, Swift reveals his infatuation with equality of outcome. “I had done some work on social mobility and the evidence is overwhelmingly that the reason why children born to different families have very different chances in life is because of what happens in those families,” he declares. He was especially concerned with unequal outcomes that attend families who live in better surroundings, whose children go to better schools, and whose parents get more involved with their children’s activities.

Swift’s solution to such an “intractable” problem? “One way philosophers might think about solving the social justice problem would be by simply abolishing the family,” he posits. “If the family is this source of unfairness in society then it looks plausible to think that if we abolished the family there would be a more level playing field.”

Perhaps the social justice problem might be better served by eliminating crackpot philosophers. Yet even Swift recognizes the impracticality of family elimination. “Nearly everyone who has thought about this would conclude that it is a really bad idea to be raised by state institutions, unless something has gone wrong,” he concedes. Nonetheless, he still feels compelled to single out certain “undesirable” variables that contribute to the disparities between families he and Brighouse find problematic. “Private schooling cannot be justified by appeal to these familial relationship goods,” Swift insists. “It’s just not the case that in order for a family to realize these intimate, loving, authoritative, affectionate, love-based relationships you need to be able to send your child to an elite private school.”

He has even greater disdain for … bedtime stories. “The evidence shows that the difference between those who get bedtime stories and those who don’t — the difference in their life chances — is bigger than the difference between those who get elite private schooling and those that don’t,” Swift complains. And while he remains adamant about the elimination of private schools, he realizes eliminating bedtime stories is a bridge too far, admitting, “We could prevent elite private schooling without any real hit to healthy family relationships, whereas if we say that you can’t read bedtime stories to your kids because it’s not fair that some kids get them and others don’t, then that would be too big a hit at the core of family life.”

Still he offers a caveat. “I don’t think parents reading their children bedtime stories should constantly have in their minds the way that they are unfairly disadvantaging other people’s children,” he says, though he argues, “I think they should have that thought occasionally.” In other words, one should feel a certain amount of guilt for being a better parent than someone else.

What to make of such “forward” thinking? Reminding people what animates it — and why it is doomed to fail. The urge to make everyone equal in every way possible is nothing new, nor is the historical wreckage of gulags, re-education camps, purges and wholesale slaughter that has arisen out of every attempt to do so. Yet in their monumental hubris, progressives look at what inevitably produces the equality of misery, and reach only one conclusion: Such failure occurred because the wrong people were in charge.

And therein lies the ultimate contradiction: There is no such thing as radical egalitarianism with people in charge. Maintaining such a society would be impossible absent an army of enforcers cracking down on anyone daring to be better than anyone else. The egalitarians have always insisted such an army would be needed only on a temporary basis. But history has demonstratedthat an inner circle of party apparatchiks keeping everyone else in line has invariably rewarded itself quite richly for engaging in such “noble” efforts, even as they have never made the effort to disband.

And why is equality of misery inevitable? Because the elimination of incentives that produce inequality — of excellence — ensures everyone will do the barest minimum to maintain their place in the unalterable status quo required by their overlords.

“Swift and Brighouse are philosophically inching their way to a novel accommodation for a weathered institution ever more in need of a rationale for existing,” the ABC article states. No, they are not. They are attempting to undermine the foremost “weathered institution” that stands between Liberty and tyranny. And no amount of pseudo-intellectualism that attends such “inching” should obscure reality: These two and their philosophical soul mates are monsters.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Jeff Jacoby: “There was a time when [Hillary] Clinton purported to reject … gender-based appeals. ‘I am not running as a woman,’ she told voters during her last campaign for president. Now she plays it up for all it’s worth. ‘Don’t you someday want to see a woman president of the United States of America?’ she pointedly asked attendees at an EMILY’s List gala. … Of all the qualifications to seek in a US president, few could be more irrelevant to the job than sex organs. Whether the leader of the free world is equipped with the anatomical parts of a male or of a female is of infinitely less significance than whether that leader is equipped with integrity and sound judgment, with respect for facts and loyalty to the Constitution. … Reducing an electoral choice to a physical characteristic trivializes self-government and the responsibilities of citizenship. Of course voters are free to cast ballots for any reason they like, including feel-good symbolism or sentimental tokenism. But no one should imagine that there is honor in voting for Clinton because she’s a woman. Wasn’t the whole point of feminism, after all, that woman are more than biology?”

SHORT CUTS

Insight: “To be young in my generation was to feel that your future had been mortgaged out from under you, and that’s a tragic mistake we must never allow our leaders to make again.” —The Gipper

The BIG Lie: “We’ve got to be relentless in our efforts to support small businesses [that] are creating jobs and helping to grow the economy. And that’s been the purpose behind many of the policies I’ve fought for as president. I’ve cut taxes for small businesses more than a dozen times.” —Barack Obama, taking credit for someone else’s work again, despite raising taxes on small businesses in a big way

Race bait: “As potentially the first African-American first lady, I was also the focus of another set of questions and speculations, conversations sometimes rooted in the fears and misperceptions of others. … [F]eelings [of racial inferiority] are real. They’re rooted in decades of structural challenges that have made too many folks feel frustrated and invisible, and those feelings are playing out in communities like Baltimore and Ferguson and so many others across this country.” —Michelle Obama

Demo-gogues: “If elected president, I will have a litmus test in terms of my nominee to be a Supreme Court justice. That nominee will say that we are all going to overturn this disastrous Supreme Court decision on Citizens United, because that decision is undermining American democracy. I do not believe that billionaires should be able to buy politicians.” —Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders

Non Compos Mentis: “This year, we will spend a collective $2.4 billion to buy Mom flowers. … But while giving flowers may seem like a good way to show how much you love your mom, it’s a terrible idea if you care about Mother Earth.” —The Washington Post’s Jennifer Grayson

Late-night humor: “According to a new poll, 48% of Americans believe that Hillary Clinton is honest and trustworthy. Then Hillary said, ‘Actually I just made that poll up.’” —Jimmy Fallon

BALTIMORE OWNER PROTECTS BUSINESS

A picture online showed a white Baltimore business owner with friends standing guard in front of his establishment, protecting his livelihood from looters. The men were armed with ax handles and a big dog. The image gave me a queasy feeling. Don't get me wrong, I sympathize with the business owner.

Baltimore's wacko liberal mayor ordered police, “let them loot, it's only property.”

Therefore, the business owner has every right and even a responsibility as a “man” to protect his property. Yes, despite our wimpified country, I believe testosterone managed responsibly is a good thing.

My concern is how the Left's attitude that white lives don't matter is affecting national race relations.

Blacks, whites and national race relations are merely pawns in the Left's chess game to nationalize (government control) America's supposed evil racist police departments.

#WhiteLivesMatter

Whites have been on the Left's hit list for decades. Disguising their assault on whites, the Left portray themselves as champions of black empowerment. They claim blacks are victims of racist America, despite elephant-in-the-living-room evidence proving otherwise. Meanwhile, the Left is engaged in a shock and awe attack on whites; public schools teaching kids to feel guilty for being white (white privilege). Lord, help us.

Hardcore Leftists are a minority. Nevertheless, portraying various groups as abused victims has been an extremely effective strategy for cramming their socialist/progressive agenda down the throats of the majority.

Here's another example.

Most Americans drank the Left's Kool-Aid of deception, believing them when they said all homosexuals are asking for is tolerance. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Americans are petrified to disagree with same sex marriage. Americans have witnessed the slaughter of enough Christians, fed to the lions in the Colosseum of public opinion, to silence the masses and quaking in their boots.

Decades of Leftist indoctrination has caused a generation of young people to believe that white Americans, particularly heterosexual white males, are the greatest source of evil in the world.

White cops killing a black person is extremely rare (1%). Blacks routinely kill blacks, over 90% of the time.  Stats confirm that the Left has created a climate in which it is open season on whites; sparking violent assaults on whites across America.

So tell me folks. How long can you poke innocent people (whites) in the eye with a stick expecting them not to push back?

Despite what evil lowlifes on the Left say, we have come a long way baby in regards to national race relations. American white voters (blacks too small of a percentage to make it happen) elected a black man to be leader of the free world two times.

My concern is that the Left's relentless abuse may be causing Battered White American Syndrome, creating a new era of racial resentment.

I am hearing from more and more frustrated angry whites. These folks are not Aryan Nation white supremacist nutcases. They are decent average white Americans who are tired of being used and abused, solely to further the Left's anti-God, Anti-American, government controlling everyone and everything agenda.

I wish I could end with a great solution. All I know to do is continue praying for my country, speaking out and standing up against evil. I pray you will do the same.

Chairman, Conservative Campaign Committee

Court Says NSA Record Collection Exceeded Patriot Act  Authority
In a win for opponents of the National Security Agency's massive telephone metadata collection efforts, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday the program is not authorized by the Patriot Act. The three-judge panel did not, however, go so far as to declare it unconstitutional. As The Wall Street Journal reports, "The NSA has used the Patriot Act to justify collecting records of nearly every call made in the U.S. and entering them into a database to search for possible contacts among terrorism suspects." It's an attempt to collect all the hay, make a stack and then look for needles. But the judges didn't order a stop to the collection because Section 215 of the Patriot Act, which the NSA specifically cited for its authority, is due to expire on June 1 and is currently under debate in Congress. The House Judiciary Committee has already passed a bill ending the bulk collection in favor of requiring case-by-case consideration.
As we wrote two years ago, the issue with bulk collection is one of trust. nObama’s tenure in the White House has been plagued with scandals — political targeting at the IRS and the EPA, wiretapping of news outlets, the Benghazi cover-up, VA wait lists and Fast and Furious — all of which makes this data collection for a war he doesn't even want to fight unsettling.  -The Patrito Post

nObama’s Bold New Idea: How About a Missile Defense System?
A few weeks ago, Barack nObama was announcing the rough draft of a nuclear agreement with Iran. It was supposed to prevent, or at least give the West and its Middle Eastern allies warning of, a nuclear breakout from Iran. In the coming week, it appears that nObama's helping countries belonging to the Gulf Cooperation Council run for the bunkers. CNN reports that the nObama administration will bring up the idea of creating a ballistic missile defense system that would protect the countries from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia to Oman — just in case Iran ever develops a nuclear warhead or two.
The nObama administration's policy has been to generally discourage the development of missile defense systems. In 2001, the then-State Senator nObama said, "I don't agree with a missile defense system." In 2009, his administration traded a missile defense system that protected Poland and the Czech Republic against an Iranian missile attack for an assurance by Russia that it would discourage Iran's nuclear program. ("Reset!") It was around this time that former Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Michael Mullen announced Iran had enriched enough uranium to fabricate a nuclear warhead. But in April, Russia approved an $800 million sale of its S-300 missiles to Iran, undercutting the West's ability to knock out the Islamic Republic's nuclear production facilities in the event it did achieve breakout.
If nObama were serious, he would bolster missile defense in the U.S. and Europe. In February, Iran successfully launched a missile that put a satellite into orbit, which prompted Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL) to say, "While rogue states like Iran develop sophisticated ballistic missile systems and space satellite programs, President nObama continues to turn his back on any type of long-term strategy for our military and national defense."   -The Patrito Post

 NYPD Mourns Fallen Officer
The New York Police Department is mourning another fallen officer. Brian Moore, 25 and white, died three days after being shot in the face by Demetrius Blackwell, who is black. (According to Investor's Business Daily, "FBI crime data over the past decade show that African-Americans commit a disproportionately high 40% of all cop-killings — more than three times their representation in the population.") The reason in Blackwell's case? Moore and his partner were in their unmarked vehicle when they asked Blackwell if he had a gun in his waistband. Instead of answering, Blackwell drew the stolen firearm and fired on the two, mortally wounding Moore and wounding his partner. The funeral will be Friday. "Officer Moore put his life on the line in order to protect his fellow New Yorkers, and our state is a better place because of him," Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a statement. "Like so many of his brothers and sisters in uniform, Officer Moore served with selflessness and courage, and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family." Yet this 25-year-old won't receive the level of attention Freddie Gray, also 25, has. The reason is simple: Gray's death after an injury while in police custody fits a narrative; Moore's does not.

Job Numbers Can Be Summed Up in One Word: 'Unchanged'
When will the U.S. economy roar back to life? First quarter GDP dismally underperformed expectations, and it can't be blamed on the weather. The only good number in April's Bureau of Labor Statistics' jobs report is that the U.S. economy added 223,000 jobs. But even that number is tempered by the paltry number of workers the country added in March. Unemployment "was essentially unchanged" as it was 5.4%, and the U-6 measure of labor under utilization edged down a tenth of a percentage point to 10.8%. And the labor force participation rate remains at historic lows. "Since April 2014, the participation rate has remained within a narrow range of 62.7 percent to 62.9 percent," the report says.
Of the jobs that were added, most of the growth was in the economic sectors of professional and business services, health care and construction. The oil and gas industry lost 3,000 jobs in April, which shows it's contracting and jettisoning workers after the glut of energy production in December. The factories are slowing down, as the average manufacturing workweek is shortening to 40.8 hours. This is all in contrast to the nObama administration's mantra that the economy will kick itself out of first gear any day now. Before BLS released the numbers, The New York Times said the shadowy policymakers at the Fed will be watching this report to see if they should raise interest rates. While it would be nice to get a little something for keeping money in a bank, it seems like the Fed will follow the economy's lead and stay frozen.  -The Patrito Post

U.S. Military Bases Raise Threat Levels in Response to ISIS Activity
(AmyElizabeth) - CNN is reporting that U.S. military bases raised their threat alert levels on Thursday night in response to increased activity on the part of the Islamic State, and on a message released Wednesday by the jihadist group claiming that they have 71 “trained” jihadists prepared to attack within the United States... CNN reports that the threat level at bases was raised to “Force Protection Bravo,” according to one unnamed American official, which the Pentagon describes as “increased and predictable threat of terrorism.” The news outlet notes that this is the highest threat alert level bases have been raised to since the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. An official confirmed to CNN that Admiral William Gortney, head of U.S. Northern Command, signed the order to raise the threat level. CNN also quotes Captain Jeff Davis, spokesman for the U.S. Northern Command, as stating that the raised threat level is “the new normal” and military bases will have “increased vigilance and force protection.” “We seek to be unpredictable,” he added.       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/08/report-u-s-military-bases-raise-threat-levels-in-response-to-heightened-isis-activity/

nObama Wants to Dump THOUSANDS of Muslims in U.S.
(thepoliticalinsider.com) - We all know that President Barack nObama invented the immigration crisis for political reasons. He wants to import Democrat voters and grow the welfare state... But now, we’re learning that nObama is also eager to import thousands of of Muslims into America… some of whom are radicalized and support terrorism. Under the State Department’s U.S. Refugee Admissions Program those Muslim refugees come from civil war torn countries in Africa and the Middle East, such as Syria. And they will end up living in parts of Idaho, even though the FBI can’t possibly conduct proper background checks on all of them! Other refugees are being moved to Spartanburg, S.C. — the home state of conservative hero Rep. Trey Gowdy! Gowdy is not pleased with the nObama administration carelessly putting residents of South Carolina at risk, and he fired off an angry letter to nObama’s State Department, demanding the program be put on hold until these questions are answered:       http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/obama-wants-to-dump-thousands-of-muslims-in-u-s-trey-gowdy-is-fighting-back/#22

A constitutionalist agenda for the GOP
(Ramesh Ponnuru & Reihan Salam) -For Republicans, defending the Constitution is like the weather: They all talk about it, but nobody ever does anything. Or, at least, does anything practical... Conservatives think that modern government has drifted far from the constitutional design, to the country’s detriment. Too often, though, the remedies they offer are either fanciful or plainly inadequate. In the former category are proposals for constitutional amendments to provide more structural protection for constitutional principles that have fallen by the wayside: supermajority requirements for tax increases, for example, as a means of restoring limits on the federal government. Whatever the merits of these ideas, the very high bar the Constitution erects for formal amendment limits their utility. In the latter category are pledges to appoint only originalist judges. That goal is certainly an important one, but it sometimes causes conservatives to neglect the duties of the other branches of the government, and of citizens, in preserving the constitutional order.         http://www.aei.org/publication/a-constitutionalist-agenda-for-the-gop/?utm_source=paramount&utm_medium=email&utm_content=AEITODAY&utm_campaign=050815

(Scott Greer) - The Select Committee on Benghazi released its interim report Friday, and while it documented the progress of the investigation into the terror attack, there apparently remains one problem — the White House’s refusal to fully cooperate with the committee... According to Republican South Carolina representative and committee chairman Trey Gowdy, the nObama administration is dragging its feet when it comes to releasing requested documents for the investigation. “This Committee has interviewed eyewitnesses never before interviewed, obtained tens-of-thousands of pages of documents never before provided, and reviewed new information central to the investigation such as FBI reports specific to the interrogation and prosecution of Abu Khattala,” Gowdy stated in the report. “But while progress has been made, the greatest impediment to completing this investigation in a timely manner has been the level of cooperation by the executive branch.”        http://dailycaller.com/2015/05/08/benghazi-committee-the-white-house-is-still-stonewalling-us/

Clinton Charity Scandal: At Least There Won’t Be an Email Trail
(Ronn Torossian) - In 1998, Hilly Clinton on The Today Show blamed the media for the many issues facing her husband, then-President Bill Clinton, saying, “This is — the great story here for anybody willing to find it and write about it and explain it is this vast right-wing conspiracy... that has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president.” And today, that damn conspiracy continues amidst allegations that the Clinton Foundation took cash while she was Secretary of State – and that emails mysteriously disappeared. Or, of course one can take the alternative track, as some Clinton Foundation insiders are, that they are not nor have they ever tried to hide anything. On this issue, it seems that even the liberal media is not buying it, as the PR firestorm continues to blast the international goodwill work.        http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/ronn-torossian/clinton-charity-scandal-at-least-there-wont-be-an-email-trail/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=8592b367b4-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-8592b367b4-156509103

Social Security is in Worse Shape Than You Thought
(Tom Anderson) - The Social Security Administration projects that its trust funds will be depleted by 2033—not an optimistic forecast. But it may be even bleaker than that... New studies from Harvard and Dartmouth researchers find that the SSA’s actuarial forecasts have been consistently overstating the financial health of the program’s trust funds since 2000. “These biases are getting bigger and they are substantial,” said Gary King, co-author of the studies and director of Harvard’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science. “Social Security is going to be insolvent before everyone thinks.”        http://joemiller.us/2015/05/social-security-is-in-worse-shape-than-you-thought-video/?utm_source=JoeMiller.US+List&utm_campaign=3d335ae674-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_065b6c381c-3d335ae674-230998701

The Middle East Runs out of Water
(Daniel Pipes) - A ranking Iranian political figure, Issa Kalantari, recently warned that past mistakes leave Iran with water supplies so insufficient that up to 70 percent, or 55 million out of 78 million Iranians, would be forced to abandon their native country for parts unknown... Many facts buttress Kalantari's apocalyptic prediction: Once lauded in poetry, Lake Urmia, the Middle East's largest lake, has lost 95 percent of its water since 1996, going from 31 billion cubic meters to 1.5 billion. What the Seine is to Paris, the Zayanderud was to Isfahan – except the latter went bone-dry in 2010. Over two-thirds of Iran's cities and towns are "on the verge of a water crisis" that could result in drinking water shortages; already, thousands of villages depend on water tankers. Unprecedented dust storms disrupt economic activity and damage health. Nor are Iranians alone in peril; many others in the arid Middle East may also be forced into unwanted, penurious, desperate exile. With a unique, magnificent exception, much of the Middle East is running out of water due to such maladies as population growth, short-sighted dictators, distorted economic incentives, and infrastructure-destroying warfare.  Govt Reportedly Ordered a Church to Remove Pro-Life Signs or a Fine
(gopthedailydose.com) - The fight against Christianity and the Constitution continues apace and is ratcheting up. The government is poking the badger here seeing if churches will cave on freedom of speech and religion... This church did not submit and thank goodness for The Rutherford Institute’s timely intervention. Seriously? They wanted a quote from Mother Teresa and a scripture from Jeremiah 1:5 posted outside a church removed? The government can threaten all they want… we will not obey! Nothing less than our Constitutional rights and our religious beliefs are at stake. The government can get stuffed. A conservative legal firm is claiming victory after government officials reportedly dropped their demand that a Virginia church remove two pro-life signs that were being displayed on its property.        http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/09/the-government-reportedly-ordered-a-church-to-remove-pro-life-signs-within-10-days-or-face-a-potential-fine-what-happened-next-has-officials-reversing-course/

 China Preparing for Drone Warfare
(Bill Gertz) - China’s military plans to produce nearly 42,000 land-based and sea-based unmanned weapons and sensor platforms as part of its continuing, large-scale military buildup, the Pentagon’s annual report on the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) disclosed Friday... China currently operates several armed and unarmed drone aircraft and is developing long-range range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for both intelligence gathering and bombing attacks. “The acquisition and development of longer-range UAVs will increase China’s ability to conduct long-range reconnaissance and strike operations,” the report said.       http://freebeacon.com/national-security/china-preparing-for-drone-warfare/

Geller and her colleagues aren't the only victims that America's elites refuse to side with against aggressors
Caroline B. Glick
.
.
(jewishworldreview.com) - The notion that a rape victim deserved to be raped because she was wearing a tight outfit light up all our red lights.
.
This is the case first and foremost because it absolves the rapist of responsibility for his crime.
.
We are also disgusted by attempts to blame the victim for her victimization because it is substantively false. If men are more likely to rape women in tight clothing then rape should be all but nonexistent in traditional Islamic societies. Yet the opposite is the case. Rape and sexual abuse are endemic to such societies. According to the UN, a whopping 99.3 percent of Egyptian women reported having suffered sexual abuse.
.
There is a third reason more general reason that we recoil from the thought of blaming rape victims for their suffering. One of the foundations of liberal societies has always been that victims of aggression are not to blame for their attackers' aggression.
.
Over the past few days, we have been witness to a dangerous erosion of this principle among American elites.
.
Last Sunday, two Islamic terrorists armed with assault rifles tried to massacre participants at a Muhammad cartoon drawing contest in Garland, Texas.
.       The goal of the contest was self-evident. The organizers wished to defend the freedom of speech — and the right to life — of critics of Islamic totalitarianism.
.
Rather than standing with the contest's organizers and participants, the US media from MSNBC to Fox News attacked Pamela Geller, the event's main organizer, and accused her of responsibility for the attack.
.
The White House failed to condemn the attack, and the media continued their attacks on Geller even after Islamic State claimed credit for the attack, promised to "slaughter" Geller and anyone who shelters her or gives her a microphone, and announced it has a formidable infrastructure across the US it will use to carry out more attacks against Americans.
.
To a degree, the White House's refusal to condemn the attack, like the media's pile-on against Geller, is understandable. Most Americans ascribe to the overarching notion of "Live and let live."
.
And it is a good thing they do. It is impossible to maintain a liberal society without a basic tolerance of differences among its members.
.
But there are groups that a liberal society cannot tolerate without ceasing to be liberal.
.
When a group says that society as a whole must constrain its freedoms so its members can feel comfortable, it crosses a boundary that cannot be crossed. So, too, when a group demands that society choose between it and another group that is not issuing a similar ultimatum, it is crossing the line. In other words, any group that demands a limit on liberty and rights of others is harming the foundations of liberal society. If a society wishes to remain liberal, it must constrain such groups.
.
Champions of totalitarian Islam test the strength of liberal societies because they force them to choose. Distressingly, as we see with the refusal of the White House and media elites to recognize that like the rape victim with tight clothes, Geller isn't responsible for the jihadists' decision to kill her and the participants at her event, elite American society is failing this test.
.
Geller and her colleagues aren't the only victims that America's elites refuse to side with against aggressors. In recent years, on college campuses across America, university authorities have failed to distinguish between tolerant and intolerant groups and so have effectively sided with the intolerant against their victims.
.
The primary victims of this abdication of moral responsibility on the part of administrators have not been counter-jihad activists like Geller and her colleagues. The primary victims have been Jews.
.
According to a study conducted by the Louis Brandeis Center in Washington last year, more than half of Jewish students at US universities suffered or witnessed anti-Semitism during the preceding year.
.
This week, Mosaic published an essay by Prof. Ruth Wisse from Harvard describing the rise and spread of anti-Semitism on campuses throughout the US. To exemplify the process, Wisse discussed at length the rapid rise of anti-Semitism at UCLA.
.
Jew-hatred at UCLA burst into the headlines in March when it was reported that members of the student government initially rejected a student's application to serve on an influential board because she was Jewish and "very active in the Jewish community."
.
The story caused waves of indignation and revulsion from all the right corners. But the incident was not exceptional. A similar incident occurred last month at Stanford. And more no doubt occur regularly under the radar.
.
These open anti-Semitic assaults are the foreseeable consequence of campus cultures sympathetic to anti-Semitism.
.
Wisse recalled that at the start of the year, a consortium of anti-Israel organizations asked that candidates for the student council sign a "statement of ethics." The statement included a pledge not to participate in trips to Israel organized by Zionist groups including the Zionist Organization of America, AIPAC, the Anti-Defamation League and Aish International's Hasbara Fellowships.
.      One of the candidates that signed on was elected president of the student council.
.
A group of pro-Israel organizations asked that UCLA's chancellor officially condemn the so-called "statement of ethics." Chancellor Gene Block refused, claiming it was "protected speech."
.
Block's response was shockingly hypocritical.
.
Statements of opposition to homosexuals, women, Muslims, blacks and any number of other groups are not considered protected speech at UCLA. His claim that anti-Jewish speech is protected when speech against other groups is not is itself a bigoted statement.
.
Moreover, his claim that the "statement of ethics" is protected speech is intrinsically false. The content of that "statement" was itself an assault on freedom of expression. Its authors and supporters sought to coerce candidates for student leadership into agreeing not to expose themselves to Zionist ideas, and so silence Zionist voices and prevent open debate.
.
Block made a mockery of free speech by claiming that the "statement of ethics" was protected speech.
.
A straight line connects Block's refusal distinguish between anti-Israel aggressors and their pro-Israel victims and the student council's rejection of a student's candidacy for office because she is "too Jewish."
.
Block made it acceptable to blame the victim at UCLA, as long as the victim is a Jew.
.      In campuses throughout America, anti-Semitism is legitimate. Anti-Israel goons do not always win their battles for campus boycotts of the Jewish state. But that doesn't mean they aren't achieving their goal. The primary purpose of anti-Israel groups on campus is not to pass boycott resolutions.
.
Their goal is first and for most to normalize anti-Semitism by normalizing the libelous claim that there is something intrinsically controversial if not evil about Zionism, Israel, and Jews who support Israel.
.
Just as the media claim that Geller is responsible for the jihadist attack against her own event, so at US universities, pro-Israel activists — and even non-activist Jewish students and professors who refuse to condemn Israel — are accused of racism. According to the prevailing wisdom, the Jews are the bigots and the aggressors because they refuse to condemn Israel and even dare to support it. In so doing, they hurt the feelings of the anti-Israel activists who cannot peacefully coexist with people who support Israel's right to exist.
.
The opposite of course is the case.
.
The anti-Israel students, like the terrorists in Texas, cross the line between acceptable and unacceptable behavior in a liberal society. By demanding that wider society on and off campus choose between them and the Jews who make no parallel demand, they demand that American society side with intolerance and against its foundational principle of "Live and let live."
.
One of the great difficulties that those who fight the anti-Semites on campuses face is the fact that a significant number of Jews have joined the anti-Semites in their quest to expel Jews from the public square. Organizations like J Street and Jewish Voices for Peace were established to give a Jewish stamp of approval to anti-Israel campaigns.
.
And they aren't the only Jews stymieing efforts to force university administrations to side with the Jews against their attackers.
.
Last month, the heads of the Jewish Federation in Orange County reportedly interfered with student celebrations of Israeli Independence Day at the University of California at Irvine on behalf of Muslim anti-Israel protesters who sought to ruin the festivities. According to a report of the events at the online Frontpage Magazine, the pro-Israel students separated participants in their event from Muslim student protesters by placing a line of students waving Israeli and American flags between them.
.
The move was angrily opposed by Federation Director Lisa Armony and Federation President Shalom Elcott. They reportedly insisted that the Israeli flags be taken down because they were "antagonizing" the anti-Israel protesters. Next week, a consortium of Zionist groups will be demonstrating outside the UJA-Federation building in New York to protest its promotion of groups that support boycotting Israel. The president of the UJA-Federation, Alisa Doctoroff, is reportedly a major donor to the New Israel Fund which funds pro-boycott groups.
.
The American elites' — including the Jewish elites' — willingness to accept anti-Jewish discrimination on US campuses, like their willingness to accept attacks on anti-jihad activists like Geller, is devastating for the American Jewish community and for America as a whole.
.
Their refusal to distinguish between the victim and the aggressor, not to mention their willingness to stand with the aggressor against the victim, threatens the American Jewish community and challenges the liberal foundations of American society.
.      What can the government of Israel do to combat the rise of anti-Semitism in America? How can the object of the demonization defeat those who demonize it? Although its bare 61-seat majority makes Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's new government unstable, a narrow coalition has a clear advantage over a unity government with the Left.
.
The rise and spread of anti-Semitism in elite circles in the US threatens Israel. If it wishes to defeat this threat, Israel cannot continue to speak in two voices.
.
Israel cannot fight this fight when government ministers participate in J Street conferences.
.      It cannot defend its defenders when members of the government say that Israel is only legitimate if it works actively to cede its capital city to terrorist groups that seek its annihilation.
.
The government's response to this onslaught must be clear and uncompromising: The freedom of American Jewry to be Jewish, like the ability of the US to remain a liberal democracy, is dependent on restoring the ability of Jewish Americans and American elites to distinguish between victims and aggressors and on their willingness to side with the victims.

Dear Family and Friends,

Baltimore _1

Though you have not confronted me or organized an intervention, I know many of you do not understand why I dislike Obama, vote Republican and joined the Tea Party. Y'all think, Obama is black, we're black – so, what is my problem?

Dad told me that grandmother, 101 years old when she passed, cried when Obama was elected. I get that and totally understand. Still, I could not go brain-dead and hop on the elect-the-first-black-president bandwagon. As a matter of fact, I was stunned by how alone I was in considering who Obama was as a candidate and what he planned to do if elected.

Democrats and the media sold Obama as America's Great Black Hope. They protected him by hiding Obama's anti-American friends and writings.

I learned that Obama is another standard “liberal” Democrat con artist, only more extreme; sure to continue the Democrats screwing of black folks.

For those unfamiliar with political terms, in a nutshell, “liberals” are those who believe that man can perfect himself and is capable of controlling everything. Ninety-nine percent of the time, liberals reject God's laws and question His existence. “Conservatives” tend to be God fearing (reverencing) folks. I'm a conservative Republican.

Liberal Democrats have played blacks for over 50 years. Obama is simply their latest front man, brilliantly covered in a black skin disguise.

Now, before you go off on me, calling me an Uncle Tom and worse, please hear me out.

The recent Baltimore riots perfectly illustrate my point. Rioters expressed anger over high black unemployment, poor schools and poverty. Well guess who has controlled Maryland politics for the past 50 years? Liberal Democrats. And yet, they still keep playin' blacks with their standard lie – vote for us and we'll fix everything with our programs and block racist Republicans from keepin' y'all down and lynching you.

Meanwhile, there hasn't been one Republican in sight in Maryland for 50 years in a position to affect anything. And yet, all the problems liberal Democrats promised to fix have gotten worse. Y'all been played. Also, how long will y'all fall for their lie that the lack of jobs is Bush's fault? Obama has been president for six years. Y'all bein' played!

Aunt Bummie and four of her five sons were on welfare their entire lives. Theirs was a fatherless household. Only Poochie (Lawrence) her eldest remarkably worked his way through college. Aunt Bummie and four of her sons died early.

Sleeping over from time to time, at 9 or 10 years old, I felt the depressed vibe of their household and knew their lives were tragic. I felt sorry for them. I felt their envy of my dad living with us.

When President Reagan tried to wean folks off of total government dependency, Democrats and their media buddies told blacks that Reagan was a racist mean old white man who hated blacks. That was another lie.

Don't get me wrong, a government safety net is fine. But, addicting people to cradle to grave welfare is evil; robbing folks of pursuing their God given gifts and potential. Liberal Democrats hope to get as many folks as possible hating the rich and hooked on welfare to keep the masses voting Democrat.

A friend ranted about mean Republicans in congress cutting food stamps for the poor. Another Democrat lie. After six years of Obama, more folks than ever are receiving food stamps (over 47 million).  Remarkably, a third of the country is out of work.  Many quit looking for jobs, deciding to ride Obama's government gravy train. Come election day, they will vote Democrat. And guess who is hardest hit by Obama's job killing policies? Black folks.

Here's another Democrat scam. Democrats love to rant about evil Republican “draconian” cuts to welfare programs. Well, the truth is no program ever gets less money than it did the previous year. In Washington, a cut means congress will not give a program as much of an “increase” as first projected.

Despite Democrat control for 50 years and government programs out the ying yang, Baltimore blacks are suffering more than ever; high school dropouts, no jobs, still murdering each other, high out-of-wedlock births, poverty, high incarcerations and fatherless households. Even after spending trillions of taxpayer dollars fighting poverty since 1965,  Democrats tell the poor and blacks they're gettin' screwed by rich white folks. They're playin' y'all.

Obama's response to the Baltimore riots is typically liberal Democrat; more government programs and blaming Republicans.

Some of you will view Obama as your homey no matter what. It's a black thing. I get it. But, Obama does not feel the same about you.  If he did, Obama would not be flooding the country with uneducated poor illegals who suck up your welfare and your jobs.  He only cares about creating new Democrat voters. He's playin' y'all.

Meanwhile, y'all say, what is up with Peanut (my childhood nickname)? He just “don't” get it.

I pray that I have opened your eyes and that you will think twice before voting for another Democrat.

Love, Lloyd (Jr. Jr)

BILLIONAIRE DONOR STEYER GETS HILLY HOUSECALL
Billionaire Tom Steyer and his wife Kat Taylor host Hilly Clinton at their home in upscale Pacific Heights-San Francisco today. The “Conversation with Hilly,” in which the presumptive Democratic nominee will likely be pressed for her position on the Keystone XL pipeline, kicks off a three-day California fundraising swing. Steyer is a green-energy mogul whose business depends on government subsidies and government regulation of his fossil-fuel competitors. Though Clinton has been officially non-committal on Keystone, don’t be surprised if her leftward shift continues as she plays up to West Coast donors.

The host with the most -   Steyer has been touted as “the most influential environmentalist in American politics.” He pumped more than $73 million into PACS pushing climate change in the midterms – and has been cast as a liberal counterforce to the Koch brothers. Steyer’s prolific fundraising for President nObama and subsequent visits to the White House on environmental issues have gone hand-in hand with benefits to his ‘clean energy” interests. The scope of Steyer’s kingmaker status has driven Democrats to stage events like their one-party climate change talkathon in Congress last year and Sen. dinky Harry Reid’s annual clean energy summit.  WITH YOUR SECOND CUP OF COFFEE
CNET: “In Tom Clancy's sensationalist novel ‘Debt of Honor,’ a disgruntled pilot decides to avenge his lost honor by crashing a fuel-laden 747 directly into the U.S. Capitol, causing the giant building to explode and collapse. The scope of that fictional disaster was hard to fathom prior to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. But even before 9/11, anyone who had been in Lakehurst, N.J., on May 6, 1937, would have had a pretty good sense of just how big an explosion Clancy had in mind. Because that day, the Hindenburg, a German zeppelin that was famous the world over for ferrying the rich and powerful across the Atlantic, blew up as it attempted to land, a catastrophe that rocked the globe, kickstarted the news industry, and closed the book for good on a form of travel that, while far beyond the means of most people, unquestionably appealed to the romantic notions of the masses.”

(gopthedailydose.com) - The FBI currently has hundreds of investigations of potential homegrown terrorists under way, with cases open in every state... FBI Director James Comey warned that there are as many as “thousands” of people inside the United States taking in ISIS’ online “poison.” Comey noted as recently as two years ago that the FBI could focus on tracking those within the U.S. who visited jihadi websites, but a shift to social media by ISIS sympathizers has changed all that. Who are we going to believe, the experts or the FBI?       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/08/fbi-director-warns-potentially-thousands-of-isis-followers-in-us/

ER Visits Supposed To Drop Like A Lead Balloon Under nObamacare
(rickwells.us) - One of the many promises made in the selling of nObamacare was the idea that once people received their socialized medicine, they would stop visiting hospital emergency rooms for standard, non-emergency care... That appears to be, in practice, nothing but another of the many claims made by Democrats that proved in practice to be a total falsehood. In a moment of feigned financial responsibility, Hussein nObama is shown campaigning for the passage of his mandatory health care plan based upon the premise that we shouldn’t be forced to ultimately pay for an unneeded emergency room visit caused by an uninsured patient. Now we’re not only forced to pay for that visit, we’ve got an insurance premium of our own to go along with it, plus our subsidies to pay other people’s coverage. What’s the excuse now, nObama and is there a plan “B?”        http://www.rickwells.us/er-visits-were-supposed-to-drop-like-a-lead-balloon-under-obamacare-another-obama-falsehood/

FBI, Homeland Security have not bothered to contact Pamela Geller
(Robert Spencer) - Apparently the nObama FBI and DHS not only are unwilling to discuss Islam and jihad in connection with terrorism; they’re also unwilling to protect those who do... Hannity: “This is a serious threat. Basically a Fatwa, a death threat, has now been issued. Your reaction to that? Have you had any contact with the FBI?” Geller: “They have not contacted me, but of course we’ve now increased my team. I have a team now, private security, and NYPD counterterror has been in touch with me.”       http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/05/fbi-homeland-security-have-not-bothered-to-contact-pamela-geller-after-islamic-state-threatens-to-murder-her?utm_source=Jihad+Watch+Daily+Digest&utm_campaign=cc6883bde2-Daily_Digest&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ffcbf57bbb-cc6883bde2-123451509

Vote For The Biggest Crook, Hilly Promises More Lawbreaking
(rickwells.us) - It wasn’t long ago that an adherence to the values of honesty, the rule of law and a patriotic respect of our national sovereignty were an intrinsic part of the American ideal and significant components of what America looked for in choosing a president... Those days are long gone, at least when it comes to the Democrat half of the equation. These days gender, race and other insignificant factors, as well as a willingness to violate the Constitution and American law for the right “cause” are what many voters are looking for. Some of those who vote will, by design, be members of the class of illegals who will benefit directly from Democrat lawbreaking. One of those pandering for the lawbreaker vote is the career criminal who many ignorant Americans plan to vote for based simply upon the type of plumbing she was born with, Hilly Clinton. On Tuesday she declared that she would not only maintain the lawless direction of the current occupant of the White House, but she would expand upon it. This last statement should wake up a lot of voters.        http://www.rickwells.us/vvote-for-the-biggest-crook-hillary-clinton-promises-more-lawbreaking-to-entice-criminal-voters/

Texas Senate Acts To Substitute New Texas State Border Law
(rickwells.us) - Once again Texas finds itself obligated by federal failures and its own sense of duty to assume a lead role in the battle of sovereign Americans against the invading forces of our enemy to the south, Mexico... It is a war they are forced to wage not only against the physical assault represented by the individuals who enter their state illegally, but against the corrupt federal enablers in DC as well. On Wednesday, the Texas State Senate approved a measure which would afford legal jurisdiction to Texas law enforcement officers to enforce federal immigration laws. The mechanism through which Texas would create this authority is the Interstate Compact Clause of the United States Constitution, Article 1, Section 10. It provides that states have the authority to enter into agreements which much then be approved by a vote of Congress. There is no presidential veto exposure in such arrangements an alliance with only one other state is sufficient.        http://www.rickwells.us/texas-senate-acts-to-substitute-new-texas-state-border-law-for-unenforced-federal-legislation/

“Climate” Criminals Won’t Admit Plan To Bypass Congress
(rickwells.us) - The most opaque administration in history is once again operating in secret as it attempts to snare the United States inextricably in an international web of extorted payments and sovereignty compromises under the United Nations... The pretext upon which these crimes are being perpetrated is their current favorite, the false pseudo-religion based upon global gullibility and greed, man-caused climate change. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) knows what’s up, and he’s got the questions to prove it. In Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee hearings on Wednesday he asked State Deapartment Acting Assistant Secretary Judith Garber some questions as to the methodology that is being used to force the un-American and destructive treaty past Congress and upon the American people.

CNN Idiot: Hate Speech Not Constitutionally Protected
(totalconservative.com) - That CNN has become the journalistic equivalent of old manure is a truth that most Americans have embraced. So much so, in fact, that it almost feels like bullying to point out when one of their anchors makes a public fool of themselves... Still, when Chris Cuomo is out there tweeting his idiocy for the world to see, it’s hard not to take notice. It may not be tasteful to rubberneck when you drive past a car accident, but it’s just so damn hard to resist. In response to someone who said they were tired of people pretending as though hate speech did not fall under the realm of free speech, Cuomo tweeted: “Hate speech is excluded from protection. Don’t just say you love the constitution…read it.” Wow. There’s something beautiful about ignorance when it comes served with a side helping of arrogance. It can be infuriating, but there are other times when you just have to throw back your head and laugh. That an ostensibly-respected journalist thinks there is a clause in the First Amendment forbidding “hate speech” falls somewhere in the middle. It’s funny, but it’s also a little sad.       http://totalconservative.com/cnn-idiot-hate-speech-not-constitutionally-protected/

Will the Fallout from the Iran Deal Make the Middle East Less Stable?
(John Hannah) - Let’s stipulate that any effort to reach a nuclear accord with a rabidly anti-American theocracy like the Islamic Republic of Iran is by its nature a risky enterprise... That’s especially the case given the mullahs long track record of lying, cheating and deception when it comes to their nuclear ambitions. But how much risk is too much? At what point do the likely downsides of a deal exceed the upsides? And are there mitigation measures available that might nevertheless make a high-risk agreement worth concluding? Any definitive assessment won’t be possible until a final deal is actually inked. But based on the Lausanne framework served up last month, some preliminary concerns are certainly worth airing. And it ain’t pretty. There seems a high likelihood that we’re setting ourselves up for some extremely dangerous, even catastrophic, outcomes — ones that would make the deal being contemplated not just risky, but downright reckless.         http://www.defenddemocracy.org/media-hit/john-hannah-will-the-fallout-from-the-iran-deal-make-the-middle-east-less-stable/

 What to Do About ISIL?
(Charles Crawford) - At a recent conference, I found myself bemoaning the ineffectiveness of Western military action against the Islamic State (ISIL). We in the West had decided to attack ISIL, but seemed to be pulling our punches... Why were their banking, propaganda and other facilities that support their terrorist operations not being blown to bits? Imagine the surprise when a senior U.S. expert on these issues replied that by far the best thing to do with ISIL was precisely nothing: the Middle East and wider "Muslim world" was doomed to a massive revolting civil war, so let them get on with it and take stock of the situation once it clarified. That, perhaps, is rather easier for an American to say. European leaders stare aghast at the rising death toll among refugees ("migrants") in boats in the Mediterranean. Is it moral to do Nothing? But does doing Something simply encourage more terrified people to try to cross to Europe and stay there? Where does such a process end? Whose continent is Europe anyway?       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5694/isil-policy

Hilly Changes on Crime
Debra J. Saunders
.
(jewishworldreview.com) - "It's time to end the era of mass incarceration," Hilly Clinton proclaimed in a scheduled criminal-justice speech Wednesday that gave her the opportunity to address sentencing reform in the context of the troubles in Baltimore. It was a lukewarm effort in keeping with Hillyland rules. Say as little as possible. Offend no interest group. Let handlers alert the media that the candidate is engaging in a big policy shift that is bound to attract young voters, even if the big policy shift leaves out specific positions on, say, marijuana legalization or the death penalty.
.
I don't think it was smart to combine sentencing reform and the use of force by police in the same speech. We do not know whether Baltimore police caused the death of Freddie Gray, who died from a spinal cord injury after being taken into police custody. State's Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby made a damning case as she announced she was charging six officers with murder or lesser charges. Still, we haven't heard from the cops yet. People thought a white cop had killed an unarmed black youth in Ferguson, Missouri, only to learn police Officer Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown in self-defense. Sometimes facts support the very understandable suspicion that race is the defining element when police use force; think of the video of a white South Carolina officer shooting an unarmed African-American in the back multiple times. Sometimes they do not. Until the facts are in, police deserve the same presumption of innocence that is the right of every American. Clinton should have said as much.
.
Instead, she focused on the need to reduce incarceration rates, as keeping offenders "behind bars does little to reduce crime." This is a change of tune. The Washington Post duly noted that Clinton is breaking with her husband's 1994 crime law, without mentioning his legislation by name. The 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act created tough penalties for drug offenders and dedicated $30 million to hire local police and build prisons. Drug Policy Alliance Executive Director Ethan Nadelmann declared he was delighted Hilly Clinton made criminal-justice reform the focus of the first major policy address since she announced her candidacy for president. But he also was disappointed that Clinton never addressed her support of draconian drug law sentences.
.
Hilly Clinton campaign spokesman Jesse Ferguson, however, did tweet that the reason Hilly's take is different from Bill's is not that Bill was wrong in 1994 but that "times change."
.
I was disappointed in Clinton's willingness to throw all law enforcement — federal, state and local — in one pile as she talked about "excessive incarceration." Federal mandatory minimum sentences have fallen disproportionately on African-Americans and doomed low-level offenders — often with no history of violence, sometimes with no prior convictions — to years, even decades, in prison. As I've written for decades now, Congress needs to return sanity to the system so that minimum sentences reflect the low end of the corrections spectrum, not the harshest punishment imaginable.
.
Gray, 25, was swept into a different vortex — local law enforcement — with at least 18 arrests since 2007, mostly on drug charges, and with more than one arrest in certain months. Until his untimely death, Gray was a repeat offender for whom arrest meant not draconian time but a turnstile experience. Bill Otis, a former federal prosecutor with the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation, believes the circumstances of Gray's death "are quite suspicious," but not all facts are in. Otis also thinks that any 25-year-old with 18 arrests has "made his decision on how he's going to live," so don't blame criminal penalties for his crimes.
.
Clinton had to give this speech, given that Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., a declared White House hopeful, has been a hard-core critic of Washington's war on drugs. "If he's the Republican nominee and she's the Democratic nominee," opined Tom Angell of the pro-legalization Marijuana Majority, it will be embarrassing for Clinton.
.
The person who really showed up Clinton is mother and grandmother Toya Graham of Baltimore. While Clinton cites her status as a grandmother as a factor behind her position of the day, Graham has a flesh-and-blood stake in Baltimore. She showed up at Monday's riot because her 16-year-old son had told her he planned to participate and she did not want him to become the next Freddie Gray. When Graham saw her son in a mask holding a rock, she lost it and clobbered him. Graham later said to CBS News that she told her son: "You will not be throwing rocks and stones at police officers. At some point, who's to say that they don't have to come and protect me from something?"
.
Clinton wants to be president, so she simply said Baltimore should and does "tear at our soul." If Clinton cannot speak Toya Graham's plain truth, she has no business running.

Americas must realize that self-scrutiny is not treason. Self-examination is not disloyalty.

Truth and knowledge diffused among the people are necessary for the preservation of our Democracy, rights, freedom and liberties.

Fellow Americans, we claim to be a Christian Nation but we allowed our government to commit crimes against humanity and encourage this genocide by giving impunity, applauded and praising their criminal actions.

In the name of national security and Democracy we supported the criminals on this illegal ill war and tinted our hands with the blood of our soldiers and the millions of innocent people; men, women and children that become the victims of the American warmongers that want to oppress the world community and control their natural resources and their economy.

God knows that we have lost our moral compass and become accomplice of this genocide, we keep silent knowing that it was a sin against God, the killing of people to rob them of their natural resources and the occupation of their land under the pretense of national security; in fact we become worse than the criminals by failing to seek justice and demand the stop of this genocide.

Next Sunday when you go to your church you must ask God for forgiving your sin against your brothers and sister that die in vain; ask our lord to give you the courage to stand for justice and demand and investigation and prosecution of the criminals that committed this genocide; we know who they are, ex-President George W. Bush and President Obama; we must do what is right and cleanse our soul of the sins of our government, this silent and cover-up must end, we have the responsibility as Christians to stand for the lives of all human beings, we are God's creation and not one has the right to kill or made slave another human being. Truth and justice will set us free from the gilt of knowing that we keep silent when it was time to speak up and demand to stop the genocide of the innocent.

Spread the word. To share this please clicks here       Share

Today is the time to speak up American's complete denial of these crimes must end, we must demand justice now. The International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg held following World War II that the waging of a war of aggression is: essentially an evil thing, to initiate a war of aggression is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.

When Drawing Muhammad, It Depends on Who Wields the Pen
By the way leftists have yammered this week, one gets the impression they believe there might be a right to draw Muhammad, an image offensive to many Muslims, but it’s a freedom conditional on who wields the pen — and even then there are limits. On Sunday, Bosch Fawstin won the top prize at the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) Muhammad-drawing contest in Garland, Texas. It was an image of Muhammad materializing under the artist's pencil. He holds a sword aloft and he's saying, "You can't draw me!" The artist in the picture replies, "That's why I draw you." Meanwhile, two jihadists, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, made the 1,000-mile road trip from Phoenix, Arizona. In the car, Simpson and Soofi had rifles, body armor and ammo with which they were going to silence Fawstin and as many other infidels as possible. Thankfully, an armed police officer protecting the free speech rights of those gathered in that auditorium stopped the two cold before they could do more than wound a single security guard. But instead of garnering the support of the Leftmedia — as it gave to Charlie Hebdo's cartoonists and editors after the massacre at its offices, insincere as it was — the liberal talking heads turned on AFDI and said no one at the event had any right drawing Muhammad. Maybe it was because the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled AFDI an anti-Muslim hate group. Maybe it was because a good guy with a gun decided the final outcome of the day.  -The Patriot Post

.HILLY’S LEFTWARD SPRINT CHEERS DEMS
Why do politicians pander? Because it works. Presumptive Democratic nominee Hilly Clinton has been continually buffeted by scandal since March 2 and faces concerns among primary voters about her coming coronation. The response to the allegations against the candidate and her organization – payola for official favors as secretary of state and destruction of tens of thousands of emails from her time in office – has been a botch. Clinton’s husband and daughter are trying to defend the family’s buckracking, but they’re trying to do it whilst on a luxury African tour that highlights the family’s unsavory connections. So what’s the candidate – especially one who was upended as a frontrunner eight years ago – to do? Go left. And she is sprinting that way.
[‘Shred’ may not have been the word you were looking for - Bill Clinton in an interview with CNN reportedly said “suggestions of improper funding to the Clinton Foundation ‘won’t fly... not a shred of evidence.’”]
The latest and most aggressive flip is Clinton’s move on illegal immigration in which she vowed to go beyond the temporary executive amnesty from President nObama that’s currently being blocked by the courts. That’s a big veer. But she’s benefitting from such tactics. A new poll from NYT/CBS News found that while 81 percent of Democrats found Clinton honest and trustworthy, just 40 percent of independents did. This is the first time that the poll has asked the question, but it suggests that in addition to the “Faberge egg” phenomenon, Clinton may be helped by primary voters feeling better since she started running as an nObama Democrat.
[De Blasio warming up for Hilly endorsement - Appearing on MSNBC, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio praised Clinton’s increasingly liberal stances on issues like immigration and criminal justice.]
Perhaps this is Clinton revealing her true feelings. But if it is candor and not pander, though, there is still the character question of why Clinton previously misled voters. And there is the larger issue: The Clinton brand is based on pragmatic centrism, not ideology. As Mitt Romney found out, candidates who start with a trust deficit do not, in fact, get to shake their Etch A Sketches. Even a candidate who gets away with ducking the press for months at a time will eventually have to answer reporters’ questions about the scandals and her congressional testimony about the emails is coming up later this month. As the scandal stuff bumps and bruises its way forward, it seems unlikely that general election voters will be of a mind to take her word on questions of pinwheeling policy stances.  -Fox News

N.H. lead gets a trim -   Support for Democratic frontrunner Hilly Clinton has dropped and her lead over potential Democratic rivals has slipped according to a new WMUR poll of likely New Hampshire primary voters. Clinton is the favorite of 51 percent to Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s 20 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders at 13 percent. In WMUR’s February poll, 58 percent backed Clinton to Warren’s 14 percent and Sanders’ 6 percent. “‘Hilly Clinton is still the frontrunner,’ survey center director Andrew Smith [told WMUR]. ‘She is the frontrunner largely because Democrats think she is the most electable in November 2016. But there is evidence that a significant bloc of progressive Democratic primary voters are not happy with the Clinton candidacy.’”  -Fox News

Canadian judge frees former teen terrorist who killed US Army medic
(Maxim Lott) - A former teen terrorist who killed a U.S. Army Delta Force medic in Afghanistan in 2002 was released on bail Thursday by a Canadian judge, a move that allows the former Guantanamo Bay detainee to appeal his U.S. conviction while free.... Omar Khadr, a Canadian citizen, was just 15 when he threw the grenade that killed U.S. Army medic Christopher Speer as Speer and four others cleared a building in the Khost province following an air raid. Captured at the scene, Khadr admitted carrying out the act years later while in Guantanamo. A U.S. judge sentenced him in 2010 to eight years in prison, and the federal government allowed the Toronto native to serve his term in Canada. Khadr, who has been appealing the conviction while imprisoned in Canada, was granted bail by an Edmonton appeals judge who upheld a lower court ruling that his sentence could be cut short due to "good behavior." Critics say Khadr has not paid the price, and dispute the Canadian judge's jurisdiction to cut short a sentence imposed by the U.S.       http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/05/07/canadian-judge-could-spring-former-teen-terrorist-who-killed-us-army-medic/?intcmp=latestnews

Globalists Using Muslim Terrorists as Pawns
(Alex Newman) - Jihadists beware: You are being used as pawns and useful idiots for a much deeper agenda. The evidence is clear, and the goals are relatively transparent... The nObama administration plans to begin more military training and arming of “moderate” jihadists in Syria as soon as this week, according to U.S. defense officials cited in media reports. The U.S. government’s stepped-up military support for “vetted” Syrian jihadists is ostensibly aimed at helping them battle less moderate Islamists in ISIS — a terrorist group that both Vice President loose lips Joe Biden and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Martin Dempsey have admitted was armed and funded by Obama’s “anti-ISIS” coalition in the war on Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.       http://www.thenewamerican.com/world-news/item/20835-globalists-using-muslim-terrorists-as-pawns?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=996673e647-The_Editors_Top_Picks_3_12_143_12_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8ca494f2d2-996673e647-289778381

The proposal to raise taxes to pay for road improvements failed to gain even 20 percent support. (AP)
Michigan's vote should show Republicans the way
(washingtonexaminer.com) - Voters in Michigan made their voices clear on Tuesday. A statewide referendum was held on whether to raise state sales and gas taxes to pay for road repairs that had been neglected in favor of other government spending... It wasn't close — in fact, the proposed constitutional amendment didn't even crack 20 percent support. But Michigan voters, who will be heavily courted in the 2016 election, did not just reject another tax increase. They also rejected an attempt by one small but well-moneyed set of businesses to plunder everyone else. In doing so, they showed how a message against crony capitalism can resonate with a Blue- or Purple-state electorate. The Republican candidates for president would be wise to take this lesson into account as they plan for next year.       http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/michigans-vote-should-show-republicans-the-way/article/2564115?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI%20-%2005/07/15&utm_medium=email

There is "a steady decline in support for redistributive government," notes Thomas Edsall, the longtime Washington Post reporter now writing for the New York Times.
 Why Americans oppose economic redistribution
(Michael Barone) - Skeptics about democracy in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries argued that the enfranchised masses would use their votes to seize the property of the relatively few rich. What could be more natural?...But it hasn't happened, in this country or abroad, to anything like the extent that those would-be Cassandras feared. Nonetheless, we continue to hear calls for economic redistribution, the clinical term for public policies transferring money from the relatively few rich to the much more numerous non-rich. We also hear cries of frustration from advocates of such polices. The latest example is Thomas Edsall, the longtime Washington Postreporter now writing for the New York Times. Unlike most other liberal reporters, who are optimistic cheerleaders for their team, Edsall has long been alert to signs of liberalism's weakness.       http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/why-americans-oppose-economic-redistribution-despite-income-inequality/article/2563973?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI%20-%2005/07/15&utm_medium=email

State Won’t Review Secret Clinton Charity Donations
(Keith Koffler) - The State Department today said it would not review foreign government donations made to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State – donations that were not revealed, in violation of a memorandum of understanding with the White House... “The State Department has not, and does not intend, to initiate a formal review or to make a retroactive judgment about items that were not submitted during Secretary Clinton’s tenure,” said State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke. Well, okay, State Department reporters, including AP’s indefatigable Matt Lee, had a rather obvious question for Jeff, which is, “Why not?”        http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2015/05/07/state-review-secret-clinton-charity-donations/?awt_l=59AKM&awt_m=3gP_eSb8m0TM1Od

‘Most’ of the Relief Money to Iran Won’t Fund Terrorism
(Joseph Perticone) - Treasury Secretary Jack Lew acknowledged that large sums of money will be given to Iran as part of the sanctions relief, adding that “most” of it won’t directly fund terrorist operations in the Middle East... Speaking at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy’s 30th Anniversary Gala last week, Lew alluded to the sanctions relief process and state-funded terrorism concerns. Lew continued, adding that the nObama administration shares those concerns. He also insisted that the administration will maintain sanctions that specifically address “these terrorist activities.” Lew assured the attendees that “most” of the relief money given to Iran will not fund terrorism. What a big fat lie.       https://www.ijreview.com/2015/05/312110-jack-lew-assures-relief-money-wont-fund-iran-terrorism/

Expert Cast Doubt on Threat ISIS has 71 Soldiers in 15 states
(Edwin Mora) - Some experts question the credibility of a threat alleging that the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) has 71 trained jihadists inside the United States ready to attack... Most experts believe the 71 figure is inaccurate and that the threat is only inspired by ISIS, not directly linked to the group, adding that it is an opportunistic attempt to instill fear and disseminate propaganda. Nevertheless, they did not dismiss the possibility that some trained soldiers linked to ISIS are operating in the country. Some said the threat should be investigated and taken seriously but with a grain of salt.        http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/05/07/experts-cast-doubt-on-threat-that-isis-has-71-trained-soldiers-in-15-us-states/

A Pox on Baltimore
Alan Caruba
.
Aa%2B-%2BBaltimore%2BPolice.jpg
.
(factsnotfantasy.blogspot.com) - Thanks to an infection and the antibiotics taken to rid myself of it, I have had several days of being able to do little more than watch the news on television, listen to it on the radio, and reading about it in my daily edition of The Wall Street Journal. If there was anything else happening in the world, you would not know it because it was 24-7 Baltimore, Baltimore, Baltimore.
.
Specifically, it was about the arrest and death of Freddie Gray, a known drug dealer and user with an extensive rap sheet. There are different descriptions of the manner of his death, but the details of the autopsy are still obscure beyond a reference to having received a blow to his spine. This is attributed to having been placed in the police van, shackled hand and foot, but not having a safety belt applied.
.
The response from a certain element of Baltimoreans was to begin to loot, vandalize and set fire to their own neighborhoods by way of protesting alleged police brutality. This followed his funeral on Monday. The Mayor’s response was to tell the police to stand down and let the protesters have their way. When that predictably did not work, the National Guard was called in and a curfew imposed.
.
Capping these events was the indictment of the six arresting officers by the State’s Attorney General, Marilyn Mosby that included charges of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. That seemed to appease the mob that passes for Baltimore’s citizens.
.
I wish I could say I have sympathy for Freddie Gray and his family, but I don’t. I wish I could say that I feel sorry that Baltimore has been a state of decline and decay since the last riots in 1968, but no one asks why the trillions of dollars poured in comparable cities since the days of Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty” hasn’t demonstrated any results.
.
I wish I could say that the connecting factor between Baltimore, Detroit, and other Democrat-controlled cities was the primary reason that their citizens suffer unemployment, why their children attend schools that fail to teach them even fundamental skills, but what has evolved in these distressed cities is a culture that does not emphasize the traditional family, demand better education, and replaces the work ethic with the “entitlement” check. The Baltimore mother who chastised her son to keep him from participating in the riot is single and has five other children.
.
These cities are daily crime scenes. The riot was a crime scene.
.
And who is accused of Freddie Gray’s death? Members of the Baltimore Police Force who initially spotted Gray, a 25 year old with a criminal record, and went to investigate what they had observed. He ran. They ran after him. That’s what we want and expect our police to do.
.
The indictment, a purely political act intended to quell the angry mood of those Baltimoreans who protested by committing crimes, is an attack on every police officer in America. Most are good men and women, but like any other profession, there are some bad ones. The legion of police who protect us do not go around murdering suspects indiscriminately.
.
Tell that to State Attorney Mosby. Then consider that Freddie Gray’s attorney, William H. Murphy, Jr. donated $5,000 to her campaign. Consider that her husband, Nick Mosby, is a Baltimore city councilman with lots of reason to see the riots quelled.
.
What these cities and the decades reaching back to the 1960s all represent is a vocal resentment of police authority. Back then they were called “pigs.” America has been drifting away from the traditional respect and regard we have had for our police.
.
The problem isn’t the police.
.
It’s liberal notion that raising taxes and heavily regulating businesses large and small will somehow attract them to our cities. It doesn’t work that way. Our cities have become great dumping grounds for people who interest the Democratic Party only around election time.
.
And that is a problem for the police. It will be a growing problem for everyone if we cannot return to a decent respect for our police.
.
So, for now, a pox on Baltimore and on all the politicians from the President on down who keep telling us the police are the problem, not the world of Freddie Gray’s roaming our city’s streets.

Cinco de Obama - Estúpido!!!

By Craig Andresen – The National Patriot and Right Side Patriots on cprworldwidemedia.net

It seems to be high time that we, in this country, pay due respect to the Mexican Army…a fighting force like no other jose-1.jpg?width=231and the immense contributions they made to the allied effort to win WWII.

Yes… you did indeed read that opening line correctly…Mexico…MEXICO…was a key player in winning WWII.

Why…it seems like yesterday when, as a young lad, I was regaled with stories told by my dad and my uncle, both of whom fought for our nation during that world war, regarding the significant contributions made by the Mexicans.

In the Pacific…the Mexicans got involved in WWII when the Japanese bombed the hell out of Acapulco…sinking 2 cruise ships and setting an outdoor café afire.

Naturally…Mexico rebuilt their fleet and took off in hot pursuit of the Japanese.

There was the Battle of Midway where, had the Mexicans not been engaged in their afternoon siesta…they would have put up a tremendous fight…perhaps sinking a Japanese aircraft carrier or two but, regardless of their Midway midday nap…they did manage to rake out the sand along the beach before dinner.

And who could ever forget their presence in the Philippines where the Mexican Army of landscapers pruned the way through the dense jungle foliage for the Bataan Death March?

Texas Messes With Agenda 21

Texas Messes with Agenda 21

Texas is larger than most countries in the United Nations, some not much bigger than the postage stamps they print for collectors, but each with a vote that can cancel ours out. Texas is about to a vote against the U.N.’s sovereignty-destroying Agenda 21, so named because it claims to be setting a “sustainable growth” agenda for the 21st century.

Agenda 21 is in fact a global power grab similar to climate-change treaties like the Kyoto Protocol. It uses the imaginary threat of unsustainable growth which allegedly threatens to plunder the planet’s finite resources, like climate change allegedly threatens planetary doom, to impose a liberal wish list of restraints on our freedoms to decide how we live our lives in our pursuit of one of those inalienable rights liberals fear -- the pursuit of happiness.

Job Numbers Can Be Summed Up in One Word: ‘Unchanged’

When will the U.S. economy roar back to life? First quarter GDP dismally underperformedexpectations, and it can’t be blamed on the weather. The only good number in April’s Bureau of Labor Statistics' jobs report is that the U.S. economy added 223,000 jobs. But even that number is tempered by the paltry number of workers the country added in March. Unemployment “was essentially unchanged” as it was 5.4%, and the U-6 measure of labor underutilization edged down a tenth of a percentage point to 10.8%. And the labor force participation rate remains at historic lows. “Since April 2014, the participation rate has remained within a narrow range of 62.7 percent to 62.9 percent,” the report says.

Of the jobs that were added, most of the growth was in the economic sectors of professional and business services, health care and construction. The oil and gas industry lost 3,000 jobs in April, which shows it’s contracting and jettisoning workers after the glut of energy production in December. The factories are slowing down, as the average manufacturing workweek is shortening to 40.8 hours. This is all in contrast to the Obama administration’s mantra that the economy will kick itself out of first gear any day now. Before BLS released the numbers, The New York Times said the shadowy policymakers at the Fed will be watching this report to see if they should raise interest rates. While it would be nice to get a little something for keeping money in a bank, it seems like the Fed will follow the economy’s lead and stay frozen.

Surprise! British Conservatives Win Election

The Conservative Party won an absolute majority in Parliament in Great Britain’s elections Thursday, ensuring not only that Prime Minister David Cameron will still reside at 10 Downing Street but that the party can govern alone after five years in a coalition. The results confounded British pollsters, who had predicted a tight race and perhaps even a loss for Conservatives, also called Tories. (Completely wrong polls sound quite familiar.) But National Review’s Andrew Stuttaford has a theory: “Where did the pollsters go wrong? Probably by underestimating the amount of ‘shy Tories’ that there are. Brits should pause to think of what it says about the country’s intellectual climate that so many voters on one side of the aisle are unwilling to disclose their voting preferences.” That, too, sounds sadly familiar.

Cameron ran on a referendum of the Tories' record of turning around the nation’s economy. He defeated Ed Milliband, whose leftist Labour Party promised a return to a more robust, government-led agenda that would increase spending on entitlements. Labour’s loss was largely attributable to Scotland, where the Scottish National Party took 56 of 59 seats in a typical Labour stronghold. That could mean a new push for Scottish independence, though Cameron could perhaps head that off with a British version of American federalism, shifting more power to the four home nations of the United Kingdom.

Next up: a referendum by 2017 on British membership in the European Union.

Lynch Signals Her ‘Solutions’ to Fixing Unrest in Baltimore

Before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies, newly minted Attorney General Loretta Lynch outlined her proposed budget for the Department of Justice, backing rhetoric with proposed dollars for fixing the unrest in places like Baltimore. First, Lynch proposed boosting the money going to the Community Relations Service, a program arising out of the Civil Rights Act designed to smooth over racial and ethnic tension. But when the CRS glided into Ferguson last year, National Review’s Ryan Lovelace reported that it lectured residents on “white privilege” and the first town hall meetings disintegrated into shouting. Lynch also announced a proposed $69.5 million boost to the Community Oriented Policing Services to make America’s police force more diverse. “Again, it is efforts like these that may help to prevent situations like those in Ferguson and Baltimore,” Lynch said in her written testimony to the committee. Finally, the two-week-old AG suggested she will announce a DOJ probe investigating if Baltimore’s police department used excessive force. Lynch is doubling down and asking for more funding for the failed programs of the past, the very programs that didn’t prevent the problems we have now. More…

MOTHER’S DAY

On Sunday, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we’re reminded that among the Ten Commandments there is but one that comes with a promise: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12). President Woodrow Wilson signed legislation in 1914 proclaiming Mother’s Day a national holiday. But then again, we don’t need a holiday to express our appreciation to moms everywhere. May God bless each and every mother among our Patriot readers!

FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

Hillary Changes Her Immigration Tune

By Michael Swartz

2015-05-08-110eb42c_large.jpg

If we told you that a 2016 presidential candidate said, “We’ve got to do several things, and I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants… Certainly, we’ve got to do more to our borders, and people have to stop employing illegal immigrants,” you would probably guess one of the GOP candidates. But while that may be the sentiment of a select few in the GOP field, the words were actually uttered by Hillary Clinton in 2003.

Ramping up for the 2016 election, however, Hillary has changed her tune, as millions of illegal aliens have now become prospective voters. Democrats today realize that these “new Americans” can become a huge voting bloc and put several states permanently out of reach to the GOP. So Hillary is now squarely in favor of “full and equal citizenship” for everyone who wants to come to America, illegally or not.

Hillary’s new message is that she would “go even further” than Obama if Congress doesn’t act. “I will fight for comprehensive immigration reform and a path to citizenship for you and for your families across our country,” Hillary told a Las Vegas audience. This includes not only the parentsof so-called DREAMers but also illegal aliens who had already been deported but still have relatives here.

“I want to do everything we can to defend the president’s executive orders [on immigration] because I think they were certainly within his authority constitutionally,” she added. “Legally, they were based on precedent that I certainly believe is adequate. And then still try to go further and deal with some of these other issues like the reunification of families that were here and have been split up since the last eight, 10, 12 years.”

But even the Obama administration won’t say whether her idea is legal. “There may be a legal explanation [for her promises] that they have that you should ask them about,” stammered White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.

So how will Republicans respond? It goes without saying that accusing Hillary of flip-flopping won’t get them very far, as Democrats are only held responsible for what they’re saying at precisely a given moment, subject to change depending on the audience. Moreover, being against unfettered immigration is now equated with racism, and Beltway Republicans run from that comparison like a squirrel from a dog. But the primary hurdle for Republicans is that they’reflip-flopping themselves.

In short, Republicans have no idea how to address the issue in a consistent, principled and conservative way.

But there is a sizable contingent of voters that is sick of mere talk about securing the border first; tired of the federal government standing in the way of states seeking to enforce their own immigration laws; worried about the direction of our nation; and disgusted by the unwillingness of this generation of immigrants to even attempt to assimilate. Yet the Chamber of Commerce and other amnesty proponents continue to move the needle. Competing forces remain in a tug-of-war for the Republican Party, paralyzing it and allowing Democrats to control the narrative.

Unfortunately, while Republicans dither on their response, the federal government is working overtime to bring in more potential “citizens.” By the time Hillary takes office in 2017, it won’t make any difference who she lets in anymore. And what she said in 2003 will be ancient history.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Tony Perkins: “Aaron and Melissa Klein don’t have much in common with Ray Kasper, convicted sexual predator. But they have even less in common, now that the Kleins have been kicked off GoFundMe — and Ray remains. The felon, who is fighting a ‘wrongful conviction’ for sexual assault, is just one of the shocking examples of the fundraising company’s hypocrisy. A week after pulling the financial rug out from under the Christian bakers fined $135,000 and florist Barronelle Stutzman, GoFundMe’s alleged policy against raising money for ‘formal charges of heinous crimes’ certainly rings hollow here. … All Melissa and Aaron Klein are guilty of is exercising the religious liberty the U.S. Constitution guarantees them — and for that, they were deemed unworthy of support by their fellow Americans. Obviously, the real reason had nothing to do with their litigation and everything to do with pressure from the radical Left. If GoFundMe wants to discriminate against Christians, that’s their business. But at least have the spine to come right out and say it instead of inventing a phony excuse about wrongdoing. One look at their website and it’s clear: the only thing that’s criminal is their application of company guidelines.”

SHORT CUTS

Insight: “The most unresolved problem of the day is precisely the problem that concerned the founders of this nation: how to limit the scope and power of government. Tyranny, restrictions on human freedom, come primarily from governmental restrictions that we ourselves have set up.” —Milton Friedman (1912-2006)

Demo-gogues: “In America, our nation is stronger because we welcome and respect people of all faiths, and because we protect the fundamental right of all peoples to practice their faith how they choose, to change their faith, or to practice no faith at all, and to do so free from persecution and discrimination.” —Barack Obama (Unless, of course, you’re a Christian baker or florist who has objections to servicing a same-sex wedding, or an Armed Forces chaplain who offers biblical doctrine to a disgruntled serviceman, or a city official publicly expressing his Christian faith, ad nauseam…)

Non Compos Mentis: “Not right: A min. wage-earning single parent of two must work 50 hrs/week to escape poverty.” —Sen. Cory Booker, evidently opposed to hard work

Village Idiots: “There are so many kids in this country who look at places like museums and concert halls and other cultural centers and they think to themselves, ‘Well, that’s not a place for me, for someone who looks like me, for someone who comes from my neighborhood.’ In fact, I guarantee you that right now, there are kids living less than a mile from here who would never in a million years dream that they would be welcome in this museum.” —Michelle Obama, who seems to think museums are a haven for white supremacists

Dezinformatsia: “Well, [Team Clinton is], frankly, very confident about [the Benghazi] hearing. They think that at the end of the day, Hillary Clinton can take on that committee, and they’re going into it almost welcoming the opportunity, I think, to try to clear the air.” —MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell

And last… “The great thing about Hillary Clinton as a presidential candidate is that everyone already knows not to trust her.” —Frank Fleming

 Enter Huckabee
Mike Huckabee officially tossed his hat in the ring Tuesday, announcing his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. He launched his campaign in his hometown of Hope, Arkansas, (also Bill Clinton's birthplace) and promised to lead the nation "from hope to higher ground." He's uniquely qualified, he says, because "I learned how to govern and I learned how to lead." And he's focused on the economy: "Wages have been stagnant for the bottom 90% of Americans for 40 years. With all the talk of the economy in recovery, I'm talking to Americans every day whose economy is not recovering. They're working harder than they were a year ago, two, three, four years ago but they're not better off." But he also carries a well-earned reputation for being a Big Government conservative, which in our book is an oxymoron. In other words, drop the "conservative" part, and you've got it. Indeed, we've had plenty to say about Huckabee's record here and here.
Huckabee will have a tougher time winning the nomination than in his previous run. Unlike in 2008, there are numerous (actual) conservatives in the race who can just as easily win evangelical voters. And though the Republican Party has a habit of nominating previous primary losers (Reagan, Bush 41, McCain and Romney), Huckabee doesn't strike us as fitting that profile. That said, it's early and an awful lot can happen between now and the Iowa caucuses.  -The Patriot Post

Clinton Continues to Resist Benghazi Committee
The dance between Hilly Clinton and the House Select Committee on Benghazi continues. First, Clinton dumped her email on the State Department and wiped her hands of the matter. And she continues to stonewall the committee's request for her to testify. In an April 23 letter to Clinton's personal attorney David Kendall, committee chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said if everyone cooperates, Clinton could testify twice before Independence Day and be done with the committee. "It is necessary to call Secretary Clinton twice because the committee needs to ensure we have a complete and responsive record and all the facts before we then substantively question her on the Benghazi terrorist attacks," Gowdy wrote. After all, the committee has only 300 of Clinton's emails.
But Kendall wrote back, "Respectfully, there is no basis, logic, or precedent for such an unusual request. The Secretary is fully prepared to stay for the duration of the Committee's questions on the day she appears." Kendall suggested Clinton appear before the committee the week of May 18, but only once. She doesn't want to "prolong the Committee's efforts further by appearing on two separate occasions when one will suffice," he wrote. Obstruct, obfuscate and deny — it's the same old Clinton modus operandiMore...  -The Patriot Post

Media look to Criminalize 'Hate Speech'
(Ben Shapiro) - On Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo broke out a heapin’ helpin’ of legal know-how, explaining to ignoramuses on Twitter that Pamela Geller’s event encouraging submissions of drawings of Mohammed amounted to “hate speech” apparently uncovered by the Constitution...it doesn’t. hate speech is excluded from protection. dont just say you love the constitution…read it https://t.co/znZJ8cPvpX  When the Fordham Law graduate was asked what in the Constitution left “hate speech” excluded from protection, he cited the case of Chaplinsky v. State of New Hampshire(1942). Actually, he cited it over and over and over again on Twitter, apparently under the misimpression that if he kept repeating the word “Chaplinsky,” Beetlejuice would magically appear and alter the First Amendment’s text and meaning.        http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/05/06/media-look-to-criminalize-hate-speech-after-gellers-mohammed-drawing-event/?utm_source=Liberty_Headlines_Is_Giving_Your_Site_Free_Traffic_for_Now&AID=7236

58% of US Muslims Want Free Speech to be Illegal, in America
(Warner Todd Huston) - A recent poll seems to suggest that Muslims living in the USA want to outlaw our god-given right to free speech and a large number even agree that blasphemers of the Muslim god should be executed… not “over there,” but HERE in the USA! It makes one wonder if it is possible to be both a Muslim and a true American? For years during the invasion of Iraq under George W. Bush some doubters of Bush’s tactics said that Muslims cannot be made to understand western freedoms and constitutional government. In those heady days of nation building in the 1990s, many warned that Islam is incompatible with freedom and modernity. But what about American Muslims? We care constantly told that they are “just like every other American” and are peaceful, loyal Americans who love our system. But, do they?        http://wizbangblog.com/2015/05/06/58-of-us-muslims-want-free-speech-to-be-illegal-so-can-you-be-muslim-and-american/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Wizbang+%28Wizbang%29

 The Not-So-Special Relationship
(Daniel Wiser) - The leaders of both major political parties in the British general election on Thursday have indicated that they would shirk an active role in addressing international security issues...marking a further decline in a once robust defense alliance with the United States, analysts say. In a rare foreign policy speech last month, Ed Miliband, leader of the Labour Party, criticized David Cameron, the Conservative prime minister, for having “presided over the biggest loss of influence for our country in a generation.” Cameron is perceived as having largely focused on domestic issues as prime minister while subordinating the world’s pressing security crises. He accepted cuts to Britain’s defense budget in order to lower the deficit, was absent from the Minsk negotiations in February regarding Ukraine’s conflict with Russia, and was slow to support the United States in striking the Islamic State terrorist group in Iraq.

Stimulus Program Leads to Potential Billion-Dollar Fraud
(Bill McMorris) - A key component of President nObama’s proposed tax reform has led to massive fraud and collection losses for the federal government, according to a new IRS report...The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) found that millions of taxpayers wrongfully claimed education deductions to cut into their tax bill in 2012. The potential fraudsters have exploited lax oversight to take advantage of nObama’s $2,500 American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC), which was initially passed in the so-called stimulus, as well as President Bill Clinton’s Hope and Lifetime Learning credits. More than 3 million tax filers have erroneously claimed these credits, costing the government more than $5 billion.

Taliban Five Will Return To Fight, You Can Bet On It
(rickwells.us) - J.D. Hayworth notes that negotiations between the U.S. and the government of Qatar are ongoing for them to continue to be held in custody. If those prove fruitless, they will likely emerge free to do as they choose...including a potential return to the battlefield against Americans and our allies. His guest, General Paul Vallely reminds the audience that the regional headquarters for the Taliban is in Doha, Qatar and he is certain that arrangements have already been made for them to return to the fight. He says, “Now they’ll do it covertly but I’m sure they’ve had their assignments made and they’re going to go out and they’re going to be back on the battlefield and they’re going to be part of the jihadi movement, warfare against the United States and others, you can bet on that.”

Destroying and killing the USA was way too easy
(Sher Zieve) - The destruction of the USA and its takeover by domestic traitor and foreign forces has been in the works for many decades...In recent history, Roger Nash Baldwin (founder of the ACLU and 'father' of many other leftist organizations) was one of the prime "leg men" in establishing the foundation for the overthrow of the USA. Of the ACLU, he said: "Communism, of course, is the goal." Although he is said to have 'recanted' that comment, he did so after too many others had discovered his real purposes. Tragically, the ACLU still remains in place. Baldwin's history is rife with his support of Soviet Russian style Marxism and only requires a brief search to pull up the actions comprising his legacy.  Rabbi Jonathan Cahn Gives America a Final Warning
(Timothy A. The Harbinger inspired the best-selling documentary, The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment, produced by WND Films, which proves conclusively that America is under divine judgment for turning away from God, just as ancient Israel did before being taken into captivity. Here is Jonathan Cahn delivering a fiery warning to the American people and our leaders in Washington about what will happen to this country if the Supreme Court dares to defy Almighty God and His divinely-ordained, pre-existing natural Law:       http://freedomoutpost.com/2015/05/rabbi-jonathan-cahn-gives-america-a-final-warning/

 RESTORE THE FOURTH!
(Judge Andrew Napolitano) - If you plan to visit a college campus this month, don’t be surprised if you see signs and placards encouraging you to “Restore the Fourth.” Restore the Fourth is not about an athletic event or a holiday; it is about human freedom...The reference to “the Fourth” is to the Fourth Amendment, and it is badly in need of restoration. In the dark days following 9/11, Congress enacted the Patriot Act. The Patriot Act has many flaws, including its prohibition of certain truthful public speech, but its most pernicious assault is on the constitutional right to privacy. One of its sections permits federal agents to write their own search warrants and serve them on persons and entities who by law are the custodians of records about others, such as physicians, lawyers, bankers, telecoms, public utilities and computers servers. The same section of the act has been used perversely by the NSA and the secret FISA court to authorize the bulk collection of data.       http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/restore-the-fourth/

Showdown with Hilly Clinton
Over Benghazi
Roger Aronoff
.
images-1.jpg&w=580&zc=1
.
(aim.org) - The liberal media remain derelict in their duty to vet presidential candidate Hilly Clinton’s record on Benghazi, just as they have abandoned any pretense of holding the nObama administration accountable for the many “phony” scandals including the IRS scandal, Fast & Furious, or even the VA scandal. We have repeatedly exposed the mainstream media’s reluctance to question the nObama administration narrative on issues that might threaten their agenda.
.
Recent offenders circumventing the need to vet Mrs. Clinton’s and President nObama’s Benghazi record include CNN, Reuters and The New York Times—all of which consider themselves premier sources of informative news.
.
Rather than waiting for, sifting through, and then reporting the details of the approximately 30,000 emails that former Secretary of State Clinton has submitted to the State Department—only about half the reported total 62,320 emails on her private email server—CNN instead turned to anonymous government sources for its alleged scoop. CNN’s Elise Labott wrote on April 27 that “the sources who described the emails said they offer no ‘smoking gun’ on Clinton’s actions in the days and weeks leading up to the attack or while the siege on the U.S. facility was ongoing.”
.
The next day Reuters published a very similar article by Mark Hosenball citing “two people familiar with the material” who made broad, sweeping claims about the information contained within those emails.
.
CNN’s Labott clearly stated that, like The New York Times’ Michael Schmidt, she was “not permitted to review the emails ahead of their release, but several government officials characterized them and offered detail on some of them on the condition of anonymity.”
.
But no “smoking gun” email from Mrs. Clinton is necessary to break this scandal wide open or prove that a Benghazi cover-up is alive and well. And none may ever materialize from that corner given her decision to wipe clean her private email server. Assertions by media organizations that releasing her emails, which were vetted by Clinton aides before being turned over to the State Department, will somehow clear her record simply are an attempt to throw sand in the eyes of the public.
.
In addition, Labott reports that “Several former Clinton staffers have told CNN that Mrs. Clinton did the vast majority of work in person or on the phone, which is evident by her emails.” It is possible for no smoking gun to exist under those circumstances, even if Mrs. Clinton had directly influenced the security situation in Benghazi or participated in a post-attack cover-up.
.
Evidence has already been released demonstrating that the former Secretary of State’s aides became aware that this was a terrorist attack about a half an hour after the initial attack began on the Special Mission Compound in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. It strains credulity to believe that these aides did not inform then-Secretary Clinton of the known facts at that time.
.
“Mrs. Clinton actually issued a statement on the night of the attack stating, ‘Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet,’ a clear reference to the Internet video,” I noted in a recent column criticizing Schmidt’s reporting.
.
The public record already establishes that President nObama, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, AFRICOM’s Carter Ham, and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin Dempsey were all told that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist attack almost immediately after the attacks began. Yet still the President and his administration continued to blame a YouTube video titled “The Innocence of Muslims.” .
.
As revealed in their book 13 Hours, the Annex Security Team (AST) were also told by  employees of the Central Intelligence Agency to stand down three times before they unilaterally left the CIA Annex one mile away and went to the aid of the beleaguered diplomatic personnel at the Special Mission Compound.
.
Labott continued, writing that CNN’s anonymous sources “added that contrary to charges by Republican lawmakers like McCain, there is no evidence that a ‘stand down’ order was given to prevent American forces from responding to the violence in Benghazi and none of the emails suggest Clinton was involved in any sort of cover-up regarding its response to the attack.”
.
Similarly, Hosenball writes that people “familiar with the emails” told him that the email cache “contains no support for Republican accusations that Clinton was involved in efforts to downplay the role of Islamic militants in the deadly 2012 attacks on U.S. installations in Benghazi” and “do not demonstrate that Clinton…was personally involved in decisions that resulted in weak security at the Benghazi outposts.”
.
“If the sources wouldn’t show them the documents, why are they so confident that what they are being told is the truth—especially if the information is self-serving to the administration, as these revelations clearly were,” I wrote regarding The New York Times.
.
The same standard should apply to CNN and Reuters.
.
How exactly, are all these reporters sure that what they are told is truthful sight unseen?
.
More information regarding the truth behind the Benghazi scandal could become available in the near future. Select Committee on Benghazi Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) requested that Mrs. Clinton appear publicly before the Select Committee in May and June, and has now “received more than 4,000 pages of documents and notes from the State Department’s Benghazi Accountability Review Board” investigation, according to USA Today. Rep. Gowdy offered for Mrs. Clinton to testify under oath that all the necessary documents had been submitted to the Select Committee, testimony which he says “would probably shut off that line of inquiry.”
.
Mrs. Clinton, through her attorney David Kendall, stated this week that she is willing to take questions from Rep. Gowdy’s Select Committee—but only one time, and only in public. She is refusing to agree to the committee’s request to meet twice: once in private to discuss her controversial email usage while at the State Department, and once in public to talk about Benghazi. She has refused to turn over her email server to the committee, but said that she did turn the rest of her emails over to the State Department. Whether any of the more than 30,000 emails that she has acknowledged destroying contained communications about Benghazi, or any business of the Clinton Foundation that might reveal coordination over donations, may never be revealed. The public is instead being asked to blindly trust Hilly’s claims that the emails were all personal and had nothing to do with any of that.
.
Both Labott and Hosenball reported last week that the State Department could be releasing Mrs. Clinton’s emails to the public very soon. With the deadline nearing, why not just wait until the emails are released and review their actual contents? Instead, these three news organizations published “scoops” which only reiterate the nObama administration’s Benghazi narrative.
.
Mainstream media organizations such as these may be incapable of accepting the reality of the ongoing Benghazi scandal, and consistently ignore or misreport facts about it, but their blindness to this truth provides no excuse for taking the administration’s word about documents which will soon become public. Not that there is likely to be any smoking guns released in these soon to be released emails. The decision to publish articles based on the word of unnamed administration officials instead of demanding to see Mrs. Clinton’s emails first has perpetuated the image of these news outlets as little more than nObama administration—and Hilly Clinton—propaganda mouthpieces.

 HILLY FLIPS FOR AMNESTY
Hilly Clinton is looking to unload some more baggage from her campaign van today. The presumptive Democratic nominee campaigns in Nevada where her campaign told several news outlets that she will embrace “a full and equal path to citizenship” for illegal immigrants. In 2008, Clinton wasn’t even a supporter of the mainstream Democratic position of allowing illegal immigrants to have driver’s licenses. Now she is ready to go for a full amnesty. USA Today reports that Clinton is embracing President nObama’s immigration policy and campaign style today: “She will chat with Rancho High School students who are DREAMers, the term used for young undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children.”
This latest reversal follows Clinton flips on tough-on-crime drug laws and gay marriage. Presumably more will follow. Remember that this is the woman whose former fellow cabinet member Robert Gates said admitted opposing the Iraq surge to win support among anti-war Democrats. Despite a new poll that shows that a stout majority of Democrats think a Clinton coronation will be just fine, she’s not taking any chances this time, either. One supposes that the major threat for Clinton now is not an external foe but the ongoing self-destruct sequence as the campaign tries and fails to put to rest mounting allegations of corruption against the candidate and her family. The same poll from the WSJ and NBC News that shows Democrats taking a submissive posture shows Clinton crashing with the general electorate. She’s seen as untrustworthy by a 2-to-1 ratio.  -Fox News

RUBIO ROCKET RIDE CONTINUES, WALKER HAS ROOM TO  GROW -
The same WSJ/NBC News poll shows Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., continuing his post announcement surge. As Republicans increasingly tune in to the wide-open race, Rubio may trail bush by 5 points, but his 41 percent combined first and second choice is very impressive. He’s drawing from two wings of the party while Jeb Bush’s support remains in an establishment Republican stovepipe. Everyone knows him and most don’t like him. But Scott Walker is hovering in deep water waiting for his moment. While Rubio is well known from his time in the Senate and frequent national television appearances, Walker still has very low name identification, even among Republicans. He’s in third place, but 21 percent of GOP primary voters don’t even know his name compared to 9 percent for Rubio and 1 percent for Bush. Those that know him seem to like him and he has not yet announced. Walker, as Bush might say, has a right to rise.  -Fox News

Walker scorches nObama, Clinton on Islamist threat -   The Hill: “[Wisconsin Gov.  DECISION TIME FOR MCCON-NELL ON IRAN NUKE BILL
The bill giving Congress the power to review a nuclear deal with Iran is at a critical stage in the Senate as Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell decides whether to shut down debate on the measure, The Hill reports. “McCon-nell  is seeking an agreement to allow votes on several controversial amendments backed by conservatives that supporters of the bill say would kill it…The full [Republican] conference is expected to talk about the Iran bill at their Tuesday lunch….[S]ome Republicans predicted McCon-nell may have no choice but to file cloture to end debate…While this could anger conservatives, it would also save a carefully crafted compromise drawn up by Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and reluctantly endorsed by the White House.”

Iran Cheating — And Not Retreating
(Christopher S. Carson) - Which is the greater cave-in—cutting a terrible nuclear deal with Iran, or letting it flout the terms of even that deal? The question is now academic...Let’s revisit the anticipated “Comprehensive Agreement on the Iranian nuclear program,” struck in outline form back on April 2nd and supposed to be finalized by June 30th. Foreign Minister Zarif announced at the time, “No agreement has been reached so we do not have any obligation yet.” We should be so lucky. Under the deal, nothing will be done to stop Iran’s exporting of terrorism and its drive to dominate the Middle East, including its giving Hamas (a Sunni terrorist group) millions of dollars to re-dig new terror-tunnels in Gaza. Hamas’ Fedayeen use the tunnels to attack Israeli citizens. Iran was supposed to stop all uranium enrichment. Now it gets to keep enriching, but only to 3.67% purity. Iran is now “required” to reduce its stockpile of already-enriched uranium to 300 kg., over 15 years. It promised a month ago to give the remaining 10,000 kg. to Russia. Sounds great, but not even three weeks later, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nabas Araqchi told the Iranian media that there is no question of sending the uranium abroad—it won’t happen. Apparently Iran will get to keep its 10,000 kilograms of enriched uranium after all. Why make a deal if Iran is going to cheat?       http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/christopher-s-carson/iran-cheating-and-not-retreating/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=b78e7d1b72-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-b78e7d1b72-156509103

Why nObama Will Just Keep Making the Middle East Worse
(Daniel Greenfield) - A few years ago it was the Muslim Brotherhood. These days it’s Iran. Next week it may be ISIS or Al Qaeda. nObama stands with the worst elements in the Middle East. That’s always been his philosophy...If the left had a foreign policy, it would be, “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” But the wheel is a sword and it’s lubricated with blood. The squeakiest wheels and the bloodiest swords get the most grease from the State Department because they hate us the most. And hating us the most means that somewhere along the way we must have hurt them the worst. They hate us, therefore we’re guilty. The squeaky wheel runs on blood and on American guilt. The worse they are, the guiltier we must be. Instead of reinforcing the moderates, whose shortage of ravening hatred suggests that they don’t have any legitimate complaints about us worth listening to, the left seeks out the extremes of extremists.       http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/dgreenfield/why-obama-will-just-keep-making-the-middle-east-worse/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=b78e7d1b72-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-b78e7d1b72-156509103

(John Vandiver) - The Army will lose about 25 Germany-based Apache attack helicopters and a series of other choppers as part of an Army reorganization that will force the service to rely more on rotational forces to maintain much of its aviation firepower in Europe, according to a Pentagon announcement Wednesday...In addition, the Ansbach-based 12th Combat Aviation Brigade will lose about 1,900 troops and 2,850 family members in moves that also will force the closure of two Defense Department schools in the area by the end of this school year — Illesheim and Rainbow Elementary, according to military and school officials. “The 12th CAB restructuring will mean that while some U.S. personnel and assets will no longer be permanently assigned to Ansbach, aviation capabilities will be maintained by augmenting remaining aviation assets and personnel through a continuous rotation,” U.S. Army Europe stated in a release.       http://www.military.com/daily-news/2015/04/30/dod-announces-army-reorganization-inactivation-plans.html?ESRC=army.nl

Why Ariel Sharon Thanked Scooter Libby
Why Ariel Sharon Thanked Scooter Libby
(Arie Genger) - On January 3, 2006, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of Israel did something he had been meaning to do for a long time. Sitting in his office on the eve of his hospitalization for surgery, he picked up a copy of his autobiography, Warrior, and inscribed this message...
.
Dear Scooter!
A dedicated servant to your country, a true friend, always there when needed!
With deep appreciation,
Shalom from Jerusalem,
Sincerely,
Ariel Sharon

.
The next day, a devastating stroke effectively brought Sharon’s life’s journey to a shocking end. As a friend and close adviser to the prime minister, I can’t help thinking that, in paying tribute to I. Lewis (“Scooter”) Libby, he had somehow sensed that, for him, it was now or never. Libby, who during the early years of the George W. Bush presidency served as chief of staff and national-security adviser to Vice-President Richard Cheney, has been back in the news thanks to a recently published memoir by the veteran journalist Judith Miller. In it, Miller reveals that in 2007, she was tricked by the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald into mistakenly incriminating Libby, thereby helping to convict an innocent man of perjury.       http://mosaicmagazine.com/observation/2015/05/why-ariel-sharon-thanked-scooter-libby/

Election - Bunch of buttons
nObama Administration Blocks Efforts to Stop Non-Citizen Voting
(Noel Johnson) - Approximately 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in the 2008 presidential election, according to a study released last year by professors at Old Dominion University and George Mason University...The figure for the 2010 midterm elections was 2.2 percent. The nObama administration doesn’t care. In fact, it is trying to stamp out state-led efforts that would help ensure that only American citizens are electing our leaders. The latest bureaucratic roadblocks have been erected in Arizona and Kansas, which simply want people to verify their citizenship before voting. To implement their commonsense measures, Arizona and Kansas asked the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) —- a small federal agency that exists primarily to assist the states in creating the federal form citizens use to register to vote by mail —- to add the proof-of-citizenship requirement to the registration instructions specific to Arizona and Kansas. Their request was denied because of the decision of one federal employee in Washington, D.C.        http://www.theacru.org/the-obama-administration-blocks-efforts-to-stop-non-citizens/

 Your Government Lies To You
(foxbusiness.com) - Lou Dobbs has noticed that our Federal agencies are distorting, redefining and willingly misreporting statistics about the state of illegal immigration and the impact it is having in this country...It's not isolated to just one department, but appears to be policy across government when information would counter the agenda of this administration.

GOP budget plan calls for nObamacare repeal

(Pete Kasperowicz) - The Senate vote was largely along party lines, although two Republicans, 2016 presidential candidates Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) voted against it...Conservative Republicans have said the budget doesn’t do nearly enough to trim spending — earlier in the day, for example, a Paul spokesperson said the plan relies on a “gimmick” to appear to achieve balance after 10 years. Back in March, Cruz praised the Senate’s passage of a budget plan, but also said “gimmicks” were keeping him from supporting it in the end. Democrats have spent several weeks railing about the plan, which they say would make deep cuts to social programs. It also repeals nObamacare, and includes instructions to several key congressional committees to write legislation to repeal and replace nObamacare.       http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2015/05/05/senate-passes-gop-budget-plan-that-would-also-repeal-obamacare/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Firewire&utm_campaign=Firewire%20-%20HORIZON%205-6-15%20FINAL

Anti-Semitism Goes to School
Anti-Semitism on American college campuses is rising—and worsening.
Where does it come from, and can it be stopped?
Ruth Wisse
.
Anti-Semitism Goes to School
.
(mosaicmagazine.com) - “I never dreamed that it could come to this!”
.
In February, a Jewish college student was hospitalized after being punched in the face at a pro-Palestinian demonstration on a campus in upstate New York. His family has insisted on maintaining the boy’s privacy, but other such incidents, some caught on camera, include a male student punched in the face at Temple University, a female student at Ohio University harassed for defending Israel, and a male student at Cornell threatened physically for protesting anti-Israel propaganda. On three successive days last summer, the Boston police had to protect a student rally for Israel from pro-Palestinian mobs shouting “Jews back to Birkenau!” At the University of California-Irvine, this year’s Israel Independence Day festivities were blocked and shouted down by anti-Israel demonstrators. Every year, some 200 campuses now host a multiday hate-the-Jews fest, its malignancy encapsulated in its title: “Israel Apartheid Week.”
.
The Louis D. Brandeis Center in Washington, founded in 2011 to protect against such intimidation, has reported being startled by the results of its own 2013-14 survey: “more than half of Jewish American college students have personally experienced or witnessed anti-Semitism.” The film Crossing the Line 2: The New Face of Anti-Semitism on Campus faithfully captures scenes of the violence that often attends this new academic experience.
.
Nor are students the only targets. At Connecticut College, to cite but the most recent example, a quietly pro-Israel professor of philosophy has been maliciously singled out and hounded as a “racist” in a campaign instigated by Palestinian activists, endorsed by numerous faculty members, and at least tacitly complied with by the college administration and the campus Hillel organization. At the annual meetings of prestigious academic associations, boycott resolutions against Israel and Israeli academic institutions are routinely aired and often passed.
.
As one of its first acts in December 1945, the Arab League called on all Arab institutions and individuals to refuse to deal in, distribute, or consume Jewish and Zionist products or manufactured goods. Seventy years later, calls for boycott of Israel, under the acronym BDS—boycott, divestment, and sanctions—have become a staple of American university agendas, extending not only to Israeli companies like SodaStream but to Israeli scholars in the humanities and social sciences. Last year, a petition by “anthropologists for the boycott of Israeli academic institutions” garnered the signatures of the relevant department chairs at (among others) Harvard, Wesleyan, and San Francisco State. The American Studies Association attracted the “largest number of participants in the organization’s history” for a vote endorsing a boycott of Israeli academic institutions.
.
In his introduction to a timely volume of essays, The Case Against Academic Boycotts of Israel, Paul Berman provides a witty summary of the efforts by university boycotters to frame their campaigns as “modern and progressive” when in fact they are “disgraceful and retrograde.” But the truth is that anti-Semitism never needed a sophisticated veneer in order to win susceptible recruits among the educated and the allegedly enlightened. Urgent as it is to expose the undeniably disgraceful and retrograde nature of the boycott movement, some of its ancillary effects are already playing themselves out in modern institutions and in “progressive” ways.
.
One of those effects is the scandalous insult—the undreamed-of this!—that cracked the patience of my academic colleague quoted at the head of this article. The “this!” emanated in reports first from UCLA, then from Stanford. At both universities, Jewish students running for election to the student government had been challenged on the grounds that their “strong Jewish identity,” manifested by travel to Israel, made them untrustworthy candidates for office. For my colleague, who had tried until now to treat anti-Israel agitation as a legitimate political activity, this now-naked move to place Jewish students under automatic suspicion for being Jewish made it impossible to maintain any longer the distinction between anti-Zionism (permissible) and anti-Semitism (impermissible). To be sure, there had always been some kind of link between incitement against Jews in Israel and incitement against Jews elsewhere, but how was she now to distinguish between the two when her colleagues, peers, and students blithely insisted on conjoining them?
.
For the moment, most of the American public seems free—solidly free—of the anti-Semitism that infects American universities. According to the most recent Gallup poll, seven in ten Americans view Israel favorably, up substantially from the 47 percent that viewed it favorably in 1991 around the time of the first Gulf war. It would be hard to imagine greater enthusiasm for a foreign leader than that shown to Benjamin Netanyahu when he spoke at a joint session of Congress in 2011 and again this year. Appreciation for Israel seems secure when the Wall Street Journal, widely considered America’s most influential newspaper, is also its most effective editorial champion of Israel, with the FOX News channel not far behind.
.
Jewish students running for election to student government have been challenged on grounds that their “strong Jewish identity” makes them untrustworthy candidates for office.
.
Which is not to say that grounds are lacking for larger concern. In addition to the catalog of academic offenses I’ve briefly summarized here, a growing number of anti-Jewish incidents—from a swastika-desecrated Jewish cemetery in New Jersey to fatal shootings at a Kansas City Jewish community center—has been registered by agencies like the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee. At the government level, more ominously, and perhaps for the first time in recent American history, it is the White House, rather than the once notoriously Arabist State Department, that has taken the lead in threatening to isolate the Jewish state. President nObama’s frankly contemptuous treatment of Israel’s prime minister smacks more of the university than of the Senate in which he once served, but he is the president, and his words and actions give license to others.
.
At any rate, the basic truth is this: Israel and the United States, unlovingly paired by their Islamist enemies as the Little Satan and the Big Satan, are prime targets of the same antagonists. It remains to be seen, then, whether the rise of anti-Semitism in America—itself an extension of the Arab- and Muslim-led war against Israel and the Jewish people—will fatally penetrate America’s thick constitutional culture, in which some of us still place our trust.
.
Universities are the obvious place to begin investigating that question.

hump-1.jpg?width=227Humpty Dumpty sits on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty is about to fall.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Can never put Humpty together again.

Humpty in this case is Obamacare and at the end of next month, the United States Supreme Court will render a decision that could well leave Humpty Dumpty shattered into 8 million pieces.

At stake are the subsidies. Should the Supreme Court hold that the subsidies are allowed only as the law was written…that ONLY the STATE exchanges are allowed to extend subsidies and NOT the FEDERAL exchange…8 million people who received subsidies from the federal exchange per the king’s executive order and not via an act of the congress…would LOSE those taxpayer subsidies thus making the “AFFORDABLE” Care Act UNaffordable to them.

If they can’t afford the cost of full-on socialism…they will drop OUT of the socialist healthcare program leaving the pool of other people’s money too shallow to draw from for the rest. Oh, there are options…everybody ELSE’S premium costs, deductibles and prescription costs could be jacked up into outer space to cover the shortfall but that will render socialismcare unaffordable even to those who can, but just barely, afford it now and they TOO will beat a hasty exit.

I believe the Supreme Court will indeed rule against the king on this one and here’s why…
