FLORIDA: After a 4-year battle, outraged parents in Brevard County failed to get the excessive Islam-centric content of their school distict’s history textbooks removed

Brevard County parents have been have been fighting since 2013 to have the 36-page chapter on Islam in World History Books removed because it promotes Islam to the virtual exclusion of other religions, each of which barely gets a mention in the textbooks, let alone a whole chapter.

Florida Today  House Representative Ritch Workman and individuals from two citizens groups spoke against the textbook, Prentice Hall World History, at the Brevard School Board meeting Tuesday, citing examples of Islamic supremacist phrases and passages they believe show bias.  “Our children deserve facts and accuracy, not history being revised for our own failure or desire to not offend one culture or another.”

The textbook, which has been used in Brevard for the past 7 years, devotes a chapter to Islam, with sections including the rise of Islam and the building of the Muslim empire. Conversely, Christianity and Judaism do not have their own chapters and instead are referenced in paragraphs embedded in other sections.

The textbook in question could have been replaced in 2017, but after strong-arm pressure from designated terrorist group CAIR, the school board has decided to keep it. CAIR-Florida’s Central Florida Regional Director Rasha Mubarak, testified before the Brevard County School Board to block what they consider to be an Islamophobic group ‘ACT for America’s’ attempt to have Islamic Civilization purged from the school’s history courses.

Several American schools  have taken students to visit a mosque during their studies on Islam, but not to a church or synagogue or temple, since there is no formal study of Christianity or Judaism or anything other religion.

As reported in a press release this week from CAIR, Act forAmerica’s and parents efforts to replace the Islam-centric history books were defeated and the School Board voted to continue using the same history books without purging references to Islam and the Islamic civilization.

All this emphasis on Islam in public schools is the result of Common Core, whose major funder is the Islamic nation of Qatar. Trump has vowed to get rid of Common Core.

Designated terrorist group CAIR sent an unusual spokesjihadist to address the school board this week. Notice her tight-fitting pants and shirt and uncovered head…an obvious effort to make the school board think Muslims are just like normal Americans.

CANADA: At Peel School Board meeting, outraged parents tear up quran, demand end to Islamic prayer in public schools

Board calls on security to throw out parents and press.

The Rebel (h/t Sue K)  Parents concerned about the Peel Board’s accommodation of Muslim religious practices in public schools, continued their efforts to be heard by attending a meeting on Wednesday night adamantly expressing their objections. 

Watch what happened when several parents refused to be silenced and police and security were called upon to “help” these people with an “orderly exit”.

When the Peel School District tried to restrict the kind of Islamic sermons to just six that could be used in Friday prayers, Muslim parents threw a fit and accused the district of negatively affecting Muslim students. So the school board quickly suspended this policy.

CBC Jumu’ah is the sole group prayer activity allowed by the Peel District School Board. In the past, principals were supposed to approve individual sermons. The board says this was a challenging process because they were written in Arabic and covering topics outside the usual bounds of public school administrators.

A Peel region imam said the process had been shrouded in secrecy. Imam Ibrahim Hindy also said the restriction risks evoking memories of dictatorial regimes where freedom of speech is tightly restricted, especially among newcomers to Canada.

Concerned Parents of Peel Region held a march to demand that the school board end the accommodation of Muslim prayer and keep religion out of public schools. People of all different faiths and ethnicities came together to tell politicians and school officials that school should not be a platform for prayers or religious practices of any sort.

Designated terrorist group CAIR calls Texas Attorney General’s objection to a special Muslim-only prayer room in school “a cheap Islamophobic publicity stunt”

State Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office sent the Frisco school district superintendent a letter expressing “concerns” that the classroom is being used exclusively by Muslim students for prayer during school hours.

WAPO  “It appears that the prayer room is ‘dedicated to the religious needs of some students,’” a deputy attorney general wrote in the letter, quoting an article written by an 11th grade student, “namely, those who practice Islam.” In a news release the same day, the attorney general’s office went further:

“Recent news reports have indicated that the high school’s prayer room is … apparently excluding students of other faiths,” the release said. That would be a constitutional violation, the Texas AG’s office noted.

Texas Governor Greg Abbot is taking these concerns seriously.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has often criticized what he calls anti-Christian discrimination in Texas schools while schools like Liberty High School bend over backwards to accommodate the religious needs of Muslim students.

We “recently became aware of Liberty High School’s prayer room,” Deputy Attorney General Andrew Leonie wrote to the schools superintendent — about two weeks after the room was profiled in the student newspaper. “Our initial inquiry left several questions unresolved.”

It sounded like the state had been investigating the matter, but school officials said they were blindsided when reporters started calling on Friday.

“What initial inquiry are you referring to?” the superintendent wrote in his reply to Paxton’s office, asking for evidence that the school was breaking any rules, and whether the state had made any attempt to find out before going public.

AUSTRALIA: School principal who replaced convert-to Islam principal after he tried to force students to conform to Islamic practices, is being threatened…by Muslims

A violent threat made against the new principal at Punchbowl Boys’ High School by two Middle Eastern men has been described as “appalling” by the NSW Education boss. Robert Patruno (below) had been threatened in front of teachers by two obviously Muslim men who were heard to have said: “We’re going to get you, we’re going to fuck you up you dog, fuck you.”

Daily Telegraph  This latest development comes amid community anger over the department’s decision to remove principal Chris Griffiths (convert to Islam) and his deputy Joumana Dennaoui (left and right photos below) over a range of alleged issues, including refusing to participate in a state government-funded program to counter violent Islamic extremism after the school was deemed “high risk” and trying to force-feed Islam to his non-Muslim students.

Department Secretary Mark Scott confirmed they had encouraged new principal Robert Patruno  to report the threat “It’s appalling and there are no two ways around that, and it’s disturbing and that is why we encouraged the principal to brief the police on it which he did,” Mr Scott told 2GB.

UK Daily Mail  During Chris Griffiths (below) reign as principal at Punchbowl, non-Muslim students were bullied into attending Muslim prayers, lectures on the quran and cut their hair to conform to Islam,’ according to ‘scared’ parents at Punchbowl Boys High School.

The Muslim-majority Punchbowl Boys High School in Western Sydney has been identified as one of 19 New South Wales schools at risk of radicalizing Muslim students. 

Punchbowl Boys High School former principal Chris Griffiths refused the deradicalization program, claiming he was not comfortable with prayer groups being monitored or the school being ‘stigmatized’.

That was after Muslim students at Punchbowl public school threatened to behead non-Muslim staff and declared themselves ISIS sympathizers, staff alleged. Police feared students at Punchbowl Boys High School were being radicalized after principal Chris Griffiths did not cooperate with a de-radicalization program.

Non-Muslim students being indoctrinated with Islam in a public school:Mr Griffiths and deputy principal Joumana Dennaoiu were removed from their roles at the Muslim-majority school after an investigation by the Education Department.  The pair were stood down for allegedly stopping female teachers from participating in official events such as the Year 12 graduation ceremony, along with other issues.

Several employees claimed non-Muslim staff were verbally attacked, including with threats of beheading, by Muslim students declaring themselves ISIS sympathisers, according to The Australian.

Mr Griffiths, who converted to Islam in 2014, was sacked in 2016 by Education Department Secretary Mark Scott.  Since the program was refused, ‘scared’ parents have spoken out, claiming the school was run more like a mosque than a school.

The parent of a Year 7 boy, who remained anonymous for the privacy of her son, said he was bullied by other children for not conforming to the Sunni religion. She said he was pressured into praying, and even bullied for having longer hair because it didn’t meet popular religious demands.

‘The kids come up to my son and ask him ‘come and pray, come and pray’. But we do different things to other families and the school. Why doesn’t prayer have to be in school time,’ she told The Daily Telegraph. ‘He goes to school to learn, it’s not a mosque. Religion is for the home, not for the school.’

The worried mother said her son felt pressured to follow common practices at the school, including prayer groups run during the school day. She said she believed former principal Chris Griffiths was responsible for the religious activities, and was happy to see him gone.

Mr Griffiths was replaced by new principal Robert Patruno who has accepted and thrown his support behind the anti-Islamic radicalization program.

Parents ignored and ridiculed for speaking out against New Jersey Middle School that is proselytizing for Islam in the classroom

Chatham Middle School in New Jersey has no problem teaching 7th grade students that “Allah is the creator of everything, the ‘only’ true God” as well as the tenets of Islam, using videos to explain the Five Pillars of Islam, Muslim prayer rituals and revisionist history, while forbidding any mention of the Bible in class.

Daily Wire  One of them, Nancy Gayer, voiced displeasure that her son’s fourth grade PowerPoint presentation from years ago was shut down because it briefly cited a line from the Bible in advertising for his efforts to gather gloves and hats for poor children.

The line was “Caring for the poor is lending to the Lord, and you will be well repaid.” Gayer said that the teacher told her son that it “belongs in Sunday school, not in the classroom.”

Gayer then took the matter to the school district, but the superintendent told her that the teacher’s actions were correct due to the district’s policy of prohibiting “proselytizing” in the classroom. However, the students in a 7th Grade Social Studies class were shown a 20-page Powerpoint presentation and several videos about Islam (below) — but were not taught about any other religion.

Another mother, Libby Hilsenrath, echoed Gayers’ sentiments, pointing out that the seventh grade class went into detail about the various aspects of Islam, but did not teach Judaism and Christianity. 

She also brought forth further course material that could be seen as proselytizing for Islam, which included a video providing an introduction to Islam that quoted excerpts from the quran.

However, the superintendent, Michael LaSusa, refused to eliminate the course because “it is part of the New Jersey curriculum core content standards to teach students about the various religions of the world.” He also refused to meet with Gayers and Hilsenrath. Both have since been smeared as “Islamophobic” by various people in the area.

“We were labeled as bigots immediately following the Board of Ed meeting in an op-ed,” and then all over Facebook with people who knew us or didn’t know us. Xenophobic, Islamophobe, I mean it went as far as the KKK, which I don’t know what that has to do with this.”

“Unfortunately I was stared down at a grocery store too,” Gayers added, “and I believe I was in the express line with just 10 items but yet I was still stared down. It was pretty unnerving.”

The op-ed that Hilsenrath referenced was a letter to the editor on Tap Into Chatham by resident Susan O’Brien, who called Gayers and Hilsenrath’s concerns as  “at worst veiled bigotry and at best sad and ignorant.”

“I believe that ignorance breads fear and fear breeds hatred; the more we understand about other cultures and religions the better we are equipped to deal with the issues we face in today’s world,” O’Brien wrote.

O’Brien did not attend the Board of Education meeting and nowhere in her letter did she address the glaring inconsistency of the district’s religion in the classroom policy.

Tucker Carlson (below) interviewed the two mothers. Too bad he doesn’t mention that proselytizing for Islam in public schools is part of Common Core, funded by the nation of Qatar.

SOUTH CAROLINA: Parents outraged that sixth grade students are being force fed Islam in a public school classroom

In worksheets provided to Live 5 News, sixth graders at Alston Middle School were asked to fill in blanks about Islam and match up statements from the Quran with the five pillars of the religion.

Live5News  The mom says she is infuriated and that others agree with her. “Our concern is that if the need permission to teach sexual education, they should be getting permission to teach religious values (which go against the American Constitution),” she said.

Dorchester District II spokeswoman Patricia Raynor says sixth graders are taught about several working parts of communities in their “Survey of Civilization” class, including geography, economic structure, and religion.  

“Worksheets on all these features of a civilization are used as teaching tools, including all religions involved,” Raynor said in a statement.

South Carolina curriculum standards specify the material covered in this study of civilizations.  This curriculum is taught in all school districts in South Carolina.”

The teachers do not promote any religion over another, Raynor said. “We work with our families,” she said when asked if parents who don’t want kids exposed to the class can opt out…as the note below reflects.

Now, THIS is more like it. If schools taught about the real Islam as this teacher in Texas attempted to do, parents would not object.

A teacher at Foster High School in Richmond, Texas, is accused of handing out an unapproved, eight-page handout on “radical Islam” to students. The decision has resulted in backlash from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, parents and the school district.

Hey, Liberals…look what happens to your ‘multicultural’ classroom curriculum when Muslim students enter the picture

Many teachers in the Netherlands feel they have to avoid talking about certain popular leftist topics such as sexual orientation, gender equality, same-sex marriage, and sex-education in their classrooms, as well as the history of the ongoing war against Islamic terrorism, all of which would be offensive to Muslim students.

NL Times  At the same time, the growing Islamization of Europe and Muslim terrorist organizations like ISIS in particular are topics that must be avoided, so as not to offend Muslim students.

This is the case at one in seven (14%) of primary schools in the large cities and 1 in 20 (5%) of primary schools nationwide. At secondary schools those percentages are 13% in the big cities and 11% nationwide.  The subjects to be avoided in secondary schools are the same as above, but with the political situations in countries like Turkey and Russia added in. 

The teachers blame failed integration for this. They’ve noticed that students from the same Islamic cultures are increasingly drawn to each other and that different nationalities don’t play together as much any more, AD reports.

State Secretary Sander Dekker of Education said that it is “not normal if a teacher does not dare to say that he is gay, or avoid certain topics out of fear of problems from Muslim students in the classroom.”

On the other hand, Dutch Christian and and Jewish primary school children are being forced to visit a mosque and learn how to pray to allah, while being taught that Islam promotes the death penalty for those who insult the Prophet Muhammad.  

The Dutch national curriculum says children have to ‘learn the main points about Islam which play a big role in the multicultural Dutch society.’

San Diego public school district will create ‘safe spaces’ for Muslims while forcing non-Muslim students to learn about Islam

 In the San Diego Unified School District, public schools now will have to offer ‘safe spaces’ for Muslim snowflakes and indoctrinate all students with whitewashed (violence and hatred-free) lessons on Islam, provided by designated terrorist group CAIR.

San Diego Union Tribune  CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) and the San Diego Unified School District collaborated on a “holistic” approach to anti-Muslim bullying that will likely be implemented this fall.

Administrators and teachers will have calendars showing Islamic holidays, students will learn more about the religion in social studies classes and safe spaces will be created on campuses for Muslim students as part of a multi-tiered approach to combat so-called “Islamophobia.”

Trustees on Tuesday voted 4-0, with board member Michael McQuary absent, to approve a plan to confront Islamophobia and bullying against Muslim students.

One of the first steps in the plan will be to distribute letters to staff members and parents addressing Islamophobia and identifying resources to learn about the religion and fight discrimination.  

District calendars will be reviewed to ensure Islam holidays are recognized, which Anjan said is important so schools will schedule campus events that also can be attended by Muslim families.

Schools also will review and vet materials related to Muslim culture and history in media centers and provide resources and material for teachers. Anjan said social studies lessons may include more information on prominent Muslims and their impact on history and other steps to promote a more ‘positive’ image of Islam.

Last July, the board directed the district staff to work with CAIR in developing a plan to address the issue.

Looking back to November 2015, Superintendent Cindy Marten said Tuesday that the issue of Islamophobia is even more important today. The district doesn’t have data on how many students are Muslim, but Anjan’s report to the board Tuesday included a breakdown of incidents of bullying for various reasons from July 1 to Dec. 31, 2016.

Counselors and teachers in schools and colleges throughout the county have said Muslim students are feeling anxious these days, but Anjan said he’s also seen more students wanting to work to create more peaceful campuses.

Trustee John Lee Evans said the issue of Islamophobia and bullying against Muslim is greater today than when the board first called for a plan to address the issue. “Now we have on a national stage where people openly discuss hatred and discrimination against various groups,” he said. We really need to redouble our efforts at a time like this.”

Tuesday’s meeting was attended by about 150 members of San Diego’s Muslim community, including Hanif Mohebia, executive director of the San Diego office of CAIR, who called the Tuesday night vote an important first step.

“If we do this right, San Diego Unified School District would be the leading school district in the nation to come up with a robust and beautiful anti-bully and anti-Islamophobic program,” he said. “I’m really happy we’re going toward the right direction. I am excited, but also careful and cautious because the work ahead is something we will all be responsible for.”

It featured an image of Ellison, dressed in camouflage hunting gear and posing with a wild turkey he apparently had shot. The post writer also derided U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson, D-MN, saying “Peterson has been cozying up to Muslim [expletive] Keith Ellison. Heck, they’re now hunting buddies. Does that mean Muslim refugees coming to western Minnesota?”

Jennifer Carnahan, newly elected chair of the Minnesota Republican Party denounced the since-deleted posts and said the culprit has resigned, although she didn’t disclose that person’s identity.

A world-renowned heart surgeon has been found guilty of molesting women after groping and assaulting them at London hospitals.

Mohamed Amrani, 53, who worked at the Harefield Hospital in west London, is on trial at the Old Bailey over accusations from five women between 2001 and 2014.

The consultant, of Harrow, west London, denied all the claims against him.

A jury deliberated for 20 hours to find him guilty of twice indecently assaulting a woman by groping her breasts through her clothes between 2003 and 2004 and sexually assaulting another woman in 2014.

A University of Iowa student has been charged with threat of terrorism after police say he threatened to bring a gun to graduation.

Soliman Obaid B. Altamimi, 25, went to the university’s International Programs Office at the University Capitol Center around 11:30 a.m. on Friday and asked to make a speech at the graduation ceremony, according to UI police complaints. When staff told Altamimi he couldn’t give a speech, he replied that he “will bring a gun to the final ceremony.”

Altamimi admitted to officers that he made the statement, the complaints state.

Police say Altamimi made a similar statement on Nov. 11, 2016, when he said he would bring a gun to the International Programs Office and shoot international students.

Online court records do not show any charges resulting from that incident.

Regarding the November incident, UI officials said in an email that UI police received a report at the time from another student who shared concerns about Altamimi’s statements.

“Those concerns were taken seriously and UIPD followed up with Mr. Altamimi at that time,” university spokesperson Tricia Brown said in the email.

Threat of terrorism is a class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison. Police complaints also show Altamimi has been charged with third-degree harassment, a simple misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail.

Altamimi is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail on a $12,000 bond.

I’m scheduled to speak at Gettysburg College tonight, and it might not surprise you to learn that the Left-fascists are in an uproar. This letter from college alumni manifests the fundamental insecurity and intellectual fascism of these alums — not a very good testimonial for the college. Insecurity because if they really thought what I was saying was false and absurd on its face, they would encourage people to come, engage me in discussion, and prove me wrong. Instead, they try to shut me down, which is a tacit acknowledgment that they can’t refute what I say, and so want to make sure it is not heard. This letter is a disquieting indication of how far advanced the rot is at our colleges and universities today: these alumni openly call for the restriction of the freedom of speech in the context of an institution that is supposed to be dedicated to free inquiry and the acceptance or rejection of ideas on their merits after study.

Good afternoon, Dean Ramsey and President Riggs:

We hope this message finds you well. Unfortunately, today we have been brought together under less than joyous circumstances. After learning that Robert Spencer has been approved to speak on campus we, as members of the past and present Gettysburg College community, feel it is a necessity to express our concern. It was our time at Gettysburg that shaped us into the compassionate, thoughtful, principled individuals we are becoming, and it is our identity as Gettysburgians that compels us to issue this open letter.

Methinks they protest too much. Those who have to tell the world that they’re compassionate, thoughtful and principled generally aren’t, and are aware of the fact.

From a sociological perspective, we understand the complexities and power dynamics at play in the difficult decision you and your office were forced to make. However, as equity-seeking, socially and politically conscious citizens and alumni of Gettysburg College, we are outraged by your willingness to allow a platform for the ideas zealously promoted by Mr. Spencer.

The ideas promoted by Spencer and his organization, Jihad Watch, have and will continue to incite physical, mental, and emotional violence against Muslims as long as they are allowed legitimate platforms.

This is libel and defamation. It is also entirely without substance. And in a world that has seen 30,000 lethal jihad attacks committed in the name of Islam and in accord with its teachings since 9/11, it’s grotesque and obscene.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Spencer’s “writing was cited dozens of times in a manifesto written by the Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik. Spencer was banned from the United Kingdom as an extremist in July 2013.” These are just a couple of examples of the effects of his ideology. Allowing him to visit and speak will be an act of violence against Muslim students at Gettysburg College and will further legitimate his false and hateful message.

Breivik — always Breivik. If I really incited violence in my writings, one would think that there would be more than just one lone madman to prove it. Breivik actually quoted a great many people, including Barack Obama; he also criticized me for not calling for violence. He also did not hold to my views, but counseled collaboration with Hamas and al-Qaeda. Even if he did, if every point of view were discredited by violence done in its name, Islam and Marxism would be first in line. I was banned from Britain, according to the Home Office’s letter to me, for saying that Islam has doctrines of violence, which is like banning me for saying water is wet. Meanwhile, Britain has admitted many jihadis, illustrating that its banning policy is not based on sound principles.

But these alumni don’t need any actual acts of violence committed by people provoked by what I have written. Allowing me even to visit and speak is “an act of violence against Muslim students at Gettysburg College and will further legitimize [my] false and hateful message.” False? Prove it, snowflakes. Speaking is an act of violence now? Are you so intellectually bereft, and authoritarian at your core, that you cannot bear to hear unpopular ideas, and have to shut down and defame those who enunciate them? It just indicates you can’t refute those ideas on a rational level.

Spencer is the author of many books, including “The Truth About Muhammad: Founder of the World’s Most Intolerant Religion” (2006) and “Stealth Jihad: How Radical Islam is Subverting America Without Guns or Bombs” (2008). These titles alone make it clear that his arguments are predicated on the deliberate conflation of Islam with terrorism. Mr. Spencer has made a name for himself by exploiting fears that are rooted in racism, colonialism, and Western-centrism. Inviting him to join in dialogue on campus is not presenting a difference of opinion but is instead allowing and fostering a level of hate comparable to anti-semitism.

Racism? Islam is not a race. Colonialism and Western-centrism? Tell it to the Thais and Indians threatened by the jihad, and the Acehnese women suffering under Sharia oppression.

Despite regard for and understanding of the right to free speech, bringing Robert Spencer to campus and hosting a platform for his opinions damages the atmosphere of diversity that Gettysburg College has publicly sought to foster over the past few years. There is a way to have healthy and respectful exchange of opinions and Robert Spencer is not a part of that equation. Spencer’s dialogue targets an entire minority population represented not just in this country but also on Gettysburg’s campus and by inviting him to speak, those people, those students and faculty members, have been betrayed.

“There is a way to have healthy and respectful exchange of opinions and Robert Spencer is not a part of that equation.” In other words, “a healthy and respectful exchange of opinions can only include those with whom we agree.”

In the name of free speech, Gettysburg College has chosen to facilitate an atmosphere laden with hate and fear. An opinion article for The New York Times written by Ulrich Baer, a faculty member at New York University, concisely summarizes this concern- “freedom of expression is not an unchanging absolute.” As the rising generations fight for cultural equality in this country, we are making space for the voices of the oppressed and we will not be making allowances to further their oppression.

Howling absurdity. The “voices of the [supposedly] oppressed” have an absolute monopoly in places such as Gettysburg College. I represent a small dissenting voice, an opinion that is usually never allowed a fair hearing at colleges or universities.

It is the time we spent learning and growing at Gettysburg College that necessitates this letter. As graduates of Gettysburg, we are grateful to have been instilled with strong critical analysis skills and an appreciation for intellectual diversity. As we have entered the workforce, furthered our education, traveled the globe, and continued the growth that began at our beloved alma mater, we carry the citizenship pillars of Gettysburg College with us: to be curious, own and cherish our experiences, engage difference, and make an impact.

Many of us have come forward individually to express our disapproval of Spencer’s visit and those emails have all been met with the same stock response. Though we can all understand the justifications for such a response, it is undeniably dismissive.

We are sociologists, global communicators, psychologists, educators, scientists, counselors, linguists, faith leaders, doctors, and artists. What unites us all is our history with Gettysburg College and the pressing need to express our objection to Robert Spencer’s invitation to speak on campus. We demand that Gettysburg stands up for those who do not have powerful voices and against Mr. Spencer and all that he stands for by cancelling the event. Until our concerns generate results, many of us have committed to withdrawing any financial support for the college.

If the College had any intellectual integrity, it would refuse any donations from you Left-fascists enemies of free discourse.

At Todd Green’s lecture Sunday, Gettysburg College President Janet Morgan Riggs said: “My fantasy is that we will have four or five people sitting in a room with Robert Spencer, and the other 2,500 members with Jerome at his rally. I think that’s what we can do to counter the fear that a speaker like this can bring to this community.”

Riggs should be ashamed. If the Muslims at the university really think I am not telling the truth, they should come and engage me in discussion during the Q and A, and prove me wrong. They can’t, so they’re boycotting, and instead of exhorting students to engage unwelcome and unpopular ideas and deal with them on a rational basis, the president of the university is encouraging them.

In this letter responding to alumni threats over my appearance, Riggs uncritically accepts and retails the defamatory and libelous falsehoods that I am “bigoted” and “hateful,” and somehow endanger Muslim students.

I hereby challenge President Riggs: prove your statements with quotations from my own writings, not from smear pieces from the Southern Poverty Law Center or other far-Left groups that have no intention of treating their targets fairly. Substantiate your characterizations of my work from my work, or retract and apologize. Also, I invite you to come to the lecture tonight, if you don’t end up canceling it, and if I am not shouted down by the Left-fascist thugs you are enabling and encouraging, then I challenge you to find any “hatred” or “bigotry” in anything I say.

I do hope you will take up my challenge, but obviously you will not do so. For being a president of a college who actively discourages the consideration of views that dissent from the establishment line, and actively discouraging critical thinking and free inquiry, you should be made to resign in disgrace. Instead, you will no doubt be hailed as a heroine by your Left-fascist peers and colleagues.

Editor’s Note: The following letter is a response from College president Janet Morgan Riggs to the open letter sent by 375 alums urging President Riggs to not allow Robert Spencer to speak on Wednesday.

I want to begin by thanking those who signed the petition requesting that we rescind our invitation to Robert Spencer for caring enough about Gettysburg College to speak out. To say this is a complex situation would be an understatement.

Many Gettysburgians have expressed perspectives about whether or not Robert Spencer should be permitted to speak on our campus. Some think we should have denied YAF’s request to invite him and that we should have over‐ruled Student Senate’s thoughtful deliberations which led them to make the decision to approve this event. I have also heard from many who believe that allowing Robert Spencer to speak is the right thing to do, despite the fact that they find his views to be offensive and/or abhorrent.

This letter was intended to provide some information to members of the campus community about the decision‐making process, the challenge of balancing our values, and the additional speaker that was invited.

We are concerned for the Muslim members of our community and have met with Muslim students to talk about what we might do to support them. We have also reached out to Muslim members of our faculty and staff, and some faculty members have reached out to our Muslim students to offer their personal support. Discussions are being held in classes, and students are planning a solidarity rally to be held at the same time that Spencer will be speaking—not as a protest of the speech, but as a way of showing their support for the Muslim community.

I appreciate the passion that our alumni have expressed on both sides of this controversy. It’s quite clear that our alumni are not united in their viewpoints. In one of the letters I received supporting the decision to allow Robert Spencer to speak, one of our graduates quoted American Civil Liberties Union National Legal Director David Cole: “For the future of our democracy, we must protect bigoted speech from government censorship. On college campuses, that means that the best way to combat hateful speech is through counter‐speech, vigorous and creative protest, and debate, not threats of violence or censorship.”

This is an extraordinarily complicated and challenging situation, one that is being played out on college campuses across the nation. I can assure you that we are giving this a tremendous amount of thought and attention, and I am pleased that our alumni care enough about Gettysburg College to voice their perspectives.

Berlin police forces are currently searching after a man who attempted to set an Israel flag ablaze on Monday during a Memorial Day event commemorating Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. The woman who was holding the flag and very nearly escaped the attack is a German-Israeli pro-Israel activist.

The latter, who wishes not reveal her identity because she wants to continue freely with her pro-Israel activism, contacted the Jerusalem Post on Tuesday and said that she filed a criminal complaint. She asserted that the assailant sought to cause her “dangerous bodily harm.”

The alleged assault took place at a German-Israeli friendship youth event on Paris Square in the heart of Berlin. According to the official complaint, the woman carried an Israeli flag on her shoulder and the perpetrator attempted to use a lighter to set the flag on fire. A 22-year-old witness stopped the attack and the assailant fled.

The alleged attack comes on the heels of last week’s independent German report commissioned by the Federal government that shows that 40% of Germans hold modern antisemitic views (the loathing of the Jewish state).

There has been a series of attacks on Israelis over the years in Berlin, including the murder of Dalia Elyakim, who was killed by an Islamic State terrorist attack at a Christmas market in December.

In 2015, German Muslims attacked Shahak Shapira, an Israeli living in Berlin, because he told the men to stop chanting anti-Jewish songs.

Six Palestinians attacked Israelis in Berlin in 2014.

Across Germany in 2014 during Israel’s Protective Edge Operation which aimed to stop Hamas rocket fire, a wave of anti-Israel antisemitism unfolded.
In the cities of Dortmund and Frankfurt chants proclaiming “Hamas Hamas Juden ins gas!” (“Hamas Hamas Jews to the gas!”) were heard and in Essen demonstrators chanted “Scheiss Juden!” (“Jewish sh…t”).

Anti-Israeli activists, most of whom are German Muslims and hard-leftists , have sought to destroy Israeli flags at demonstrations over the years.

Police forces in German cities have ignored or enabled protestors to act for the removal and/or the outlawing of Israeli flags. In 2015, German security guards remove an Israeli flag at a Berlin soccer match to preempt Palestinian anger. In 2009, during an anti-Israeli demonstration organized by the Turkish Islamic group, Millî Görüş, and attended by 10,000 protesters, two police officers stormed the apartment of a pro-Israel activist and seized Israeli flags hanging on the balcony and inside a window. The Duisburg police chief justified the removal of the flags as an act intended to “prevent an escalation.” Prior to the storming of the apartment, Islamists pelted the flags with objects.

Pro-Israeli activists, including one with a flag, were taken into police custody in the city of Düsseldorf during Operation Cast Lead against Hamas. The raw anger of members of the “Mainz initiative for peace in Gaza” compelled five young men holding an Israeli flag to flee into a department store in the city of Mainz.

Kansas City Catholics Banish Girl Scouts and Their Cookies

There’s a new commandment for Catholics: Thou Shall Not Eat Tagalongs.

The Archdiocese of Kansas City recently announced they are severing ties with the Girl Scouts. And that means no more Girl Scout cookies, too. Say goodbye to Thin Mints and Do-Si-Do’s.

The Archdiocese says Girl Scouts is no longer a compatible partner when it comes to issues like virtue and values.

The Washington Post reports that Catholics fear the Girl Scouts’ programs and materials are “reflective of many of the troubling trends in our secular culture,” and that the organization is “no longer a compatible partner in helping us form young women with the virtues and values of the Gospel.”

Trump Expected to Unveil Massive New Protections for Religious Freedom Thursday

A leaked copy of a draft executive order titled “Establishing a Government-Wide Initiative to Respect Religious Freedom,” obtained by The Investigative Fund and The Nation, reveals sweeping plans by the Trump administration . . .

The four-page draft order, a copy of which is currently circulating among federal staff and advocacy organizations, construes religious organizations so broadly that it covers “any organization, including closely held for-profit corporations,” and protects “religious freedom” in every walk of life: “when providing social services, education, or healthcare; earning a living, seeking a job, or employing others; receiving government grants or contracts; or otherwise participating in the marketplace, the public square, or interfacing with Federal, State or local governments.”

The draft order seeks to create wholesale exemptions for people and organizations who claim religious or moral objections to same-sex marriage, premarital sex, abortion, and trans identity, and it seeks to curtail women’s access to contraception and abortion through the Affordable Care Act. The White House did not respond to requests for comment, but when asked Monday about whether a religious freedom executive order was in the works, White House spokesman Sean Spicer told reporters, “I’m not getting ahead of the executive orders that we may or may not issue. There is a lot of executive orders, a lot of things that the president has talked about and will continue to fulfill, but we have nothing on that front now.”

Language in the draft document specifically protects the tax-exempt status of any organization that “believes, speaks, or acts (or declines to act) in accordance with the belief that marriage is or should be recognized as the union of one man and one woman, sexual relations are properly reserved for such a marriage, male and female and their equivalents refer to an individual’s immutable biological sex as objectively determined by anatomy, physiology, or genetics at or before birth, and that human life begins at conception and merits protection at all stages of life.”

And it’s more than appropriate that this column is dedicated to WND’s anniversary. You have never shied away from hard-hitting news and opinion, even when attacked from all sides.

There’s no question Christians and conservatives are being denied a voice in much of America’s public square these days. But what’s really behind the left’s tyranny on the campuses of Berkeley, Middlebury, Claremont McKenna, University of Wisconsin and others?

There’s a pagan precept involved, even if these rioters don’t know it.

Ann Coulter, Milo Yiannopoulos and David Horowitz are not welcome at Berkeley. Their views apparently cannot be allowed expression. Nor can the realities of abortion be revealed to students at a Pennsylvania high school.

Have you seen the video of the unhinged, vulgar rampage of a self-described homosexual educator against peaceful, pro-life teen demonstrators?

The Downingtown, Pennsylvania, assistant principal loudly sang, “I love a parade!” to drown out the voices of two teens trying to witness about the tragedy of abortion.

Then there’s that teacher in Tampa who cringes at the sight of crosses in her classroom. She, too, is a homosexual, “partnered” with another lesbian teacher.

Or how about protesters at town hall meetings in Louisiana and Michigan who screamed, “Separation of church and state!” over opening prayers?

These street-thug tactics are now commonplace. I’ve experienced similar irrational ploys during peaceful protests and press conferences as rabid homosexuals tried to deny our group a voice. Chanting, bullhorns and blocking presenters are common maneuvers.

These radicals fear believers, they fear responsible conservatives, and they fear the name of Christ. The widespread prohibition of Christian and conservative views at universities is starting to resemble the ancient pagan practice of “taboo.”

There’s another explanation, though, one that exposes an even deeper level of spiritual darkness.

In pagan rituals, to speak an idea is to give it life. Words and incantations carry (so it is believed) immense power. A ritual must be performed with chants and invocations in an exact sequence, or the spell loses its effectiveness.

So, the opposite is also true in the occultist worldview. The words of one’s opponents – full of “negativity” – must not be permitted.

One of witchcraft’s matriarchs explained it this way: “We believe that to give evil a name is to give it power,” said Silver Ravenwolf in her book “Teen Witch.” So not only must opponents be denied a platform, they must not even be named.

The new progressive rage reflects the rise of everyday evil in America. Resistance against the Lord and His brethren has never been so pervasive in our nation. It accelerated during eight years of a president whose policies intentionally defied biblical standards, and Obama’s followers are not easily relinquishing their “change agenda.”

Therefore, they often behave as people whose hearts and souls have been given over to a dark lord, even when they don’t consciously understand this. The hysteria we are seeing has its roots in demonic, spiritual evil.

Biblical principles affirming goodness and righteousness show that power resides in truth. So those who hate Christ must suppress His teachings, or heavily disguise, rephrase or repackage them.

Certainly, Christians understand that demons shudder at the name of Christ and that true conversion includes verbalizing faith: “… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).”

Definitions and names become critical in Scripture. Jesus has the “name above all names (Philippians 2:9).” Satan understands this, for he also knows the Bible.

Throughout Scripture, the “name of the Lord” is to be revered. Peter said that “…everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Acts 2:21).”

We are to pray “in the name of Jesus.” The command is phrased this way perhaps to plant a truth-filled idea in one’s spirit and in the world: that Jesus has an identity, He is the way, the truth and the life, and belief in Him is the essence of salvation. The true Jesus revealed in the holy texts is the Savior of humanity, and as such, just speaking His name is immensely powerful.

Adherents to false faiths and atheists hate the name of Christ, they cringe at truth, and do whatever possible to slither around the reality of His omnipotence.

So they irrationally go to exceptional lengths to limit, punish, defame, silence or even harm Christ’s followers. Those who aren’t confessed Christians but challenge the dark lies of progressive ideology are also worthy targets of Satan’s minions.

When truth is malleable and expendable, fascism becomes an easily assimilated, everyday practice of “tolerant” liberals. It’s perfectly acceptable in pagan/wiccan circles to simply make stuff up out of thin air. How often do we see this as a current progressive tactic? There are not enough pages to publish all the recent examples.

Nola’s invention was such a threat to government ‘certified’ energy efficiency that it was literally banned from use in America’s industrial sector, the largest electrical market on the the planet. Why was there no love available for Nola’s creation? Money, really big money!

“If it’s not ENERGY STAR, it’s not energy efficient” wasn’t just the motto for the EPA, it has been the central theme of a federal initiative known as Market Transformation since 1992. The EPA claims that ENERGY STAR brand of ‘certified’ energy efficiency has saved over $430 billion dollars, but has never been able to explain how their certified products allegedly save 25-50% more electrical energy than other identical products. Only the EPA could make such a delusional claim, because only the EPA processes the secret science behind their multi-billion dollar commodity.

Hundreds of billions of dollars were supposedly generated by EPA’s unique commodity, but try to find a single news report, government study or any evidence to support those claims. There is none. A fact well known to mainstream media, academics and environmental activist which have been the primary beneficiaries from the magical properties of ENERGY STAR. Vast fortunes were made by marketing ENERGY STAR brand as a global leader in energy efficiency, not from any actual energy-savings produced by ENERGY STAR products.

There has never been a National Standard for the measurement and verification of energy-savings in electrical technologies and products, yet lawyers somehow crafted rules mandating the exclusive use of ENERGY STAR by the government in the United States. Canada, Japan, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland and the entire European Community also decided to mandate the use of EPA’s superior brand, making ‘certified’ government energy efficiency into the most lucrative commodity on the planet.

ENERGY STAR was also selected as the primary source for GHG emission reductions in the Paris Climate agreement, which placed EPA energy efficiency experts in charge of measurement and verification of energy-saving for all countries signed on to that international agreement. But you knew that, right?

All of governments multi-billion dollar claims are based on estimations by bureaucrats as directed by the EPA; Lead By Example guidelines released in 2009, in which bureaucrats are instructed to base their energy-savings estimates on the number of ENERGY STAR products purchased or Green-built buildings erected. Providing bureaucrats a financial incentive to expand their bureaucratic empires by joining EPA Partnerships profiting big-time from the new Clean Energy Economy which was controlled exclusively by the EPA Billionaires Club, a group described in a 2014 Senate Report.

EPA’s superior brand of energy efficiency represented the single largest and most expensive component in liar-nObama’s Clean Power Plan, a fact never included in debate heard before the US Supreme Court. It was also the key feature in liar-nObama’s Save Energy Now program pushing for $100 Billion in energy efficiency investments in the industrial sector, but is only available to EPA partners. Like all of EPA’s multi-billion dollar programs, the general public has never been allowed to learn about EPA efforts to bring government energy efficiency to America’s industrial sector.

The Save Energy Now boondoggle had 24 universities providing ‘free’ energy audits at the industrial facilities of large corporations in partnerships with the EPA, and claiming their audits produced billions of dollars in savings which had been missed or intentionally overlooked by real engineers and plant managers. A concept so delusional as to defy all logic, yet excepted without question by your government. This is part of the Settled Science nobody wants to talk about, and for good reason.

President Trump recently announced the ‘close out’ of the ENERGY STAR program, which effectively ends the mandate requiring government to purchase only ENERGY STAR products and services from EPA partners. Opening up a trillion dollar market for American businesses to market products and services directly to our government, the largest procurement agency in the world.

This is a secret worth keeping if you’re member of the EPA Billionaires Club or the Media Foundations raking in billions of taxpayer dollars through non-profit organizations, whose revenue is dependent of promoting the bogus energy-savings of EPA that appear to exist only in the minds of the political elites.

If EPA can claim to have saved hundreds of billions of dollars without ever identifying a single technology installed, imagine how much money could really be saved through the actual installation of real technologies by  professionals with license to engage in the electrical industry.
