The Good:
Let’s discuss the “Good” first, it always refreshing to hear about the positive events in our Country that give us hope and a reason for defending our Nation.
Dr. Ben Carson is definitely in the spotlight, quietly, methodically working to repair our Nation’s healthcare system. It’s so refreshing to see an American Patriot step forward to help us take back our Country. Dr. Carson is a bottom line man, no BS – he points out here’s where we’re at, here’s where we should be and here’s the way to resolve the healthcare issue. He’s definitely a man that should be supported the next few years.
So proud of our young teen who won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics, America’s teen Mikaela Shiffrin becomes youngest to win gold in women's slalom. Here’s one youngster that never gives up in the quest of the American dream. She’s an inspiration to young and old.
Ligety, a 29-year-old from Utah learned how to overcome obstacles and fought to the end winning Gold in the giant slalom – Ted was the first American to win gold in this event. Ted Ligety is an American to be proud of – believing that hard work does make dreams come true.
Maddie Bowman won the first gold in women’s Olympic halfpipe skiing – Maddie truly had wings and gave tribute Canadian freestyle skiing icon Sarah Burke who had died in a training accident. Maddie said when speaking of her Gold medal, this one’s for Sarah. There are other Americans this winter who have won gold, silver or bronze and to them I say, “We are so proud of you.” “All of you young Americans give us hope and joy – your pride in your Country warms our hearts, thanks.”
The largest teacher’s union stands up against Common Core saying the standards are “completely botched. This is a good thing; hopefully they’ll join us in getting rid of Common Core.
The Bad:
IRS remains quite a contentious subject – Obama’s “not a smidgeon” of corruption proves to be another monstrous lie. Something of interest about the IRS refusing to give Conservative groups the 501(c) (4)s approval is this – they illegally put the Conservative organizations on hold for years under the pretense of “inappropriate criteria.”
In 2011 Obama’s ½ brother Malik Obama received tax exempt status in about 30 days from Lois Lerner. Lois actually made this retroactive back to 2008 – giving Malik a free pass from any tax evasion problems since he and Auntie Sarah were raising money in the US illegally claiming to be charities. Of further interest is Obama’s “auntie” or step grandmother in Kenya was given tax exempt status also called the Mama Sarah Obama Foundation. If checked both of these people connected to terrorists!
Obamacare continues its pathway of destruction, harming the medical field, families, our youth and businesses. Every day is a new day and new edict from Barack Obama – no one could understand Obamacare when it was crafted and on one can understand it after its unsuccessful launch October of 2013. What we do know it’s laden with hidden taxes - many lost their doctors, their insurers and have been slapped with higher insurance prices and higher deductibles.
Obama is trying to strong arm businesses by threatening them if they lay people off due to the Obamacare epidemic – since when does the Commander in Chief have a right to threaten fellow Americans who are trying to keep our Country afloat?
NSA has certainly invaded our privacy – emails, phone calls and many if not all of our Social sites are being monitored. They’re everywhere, they’re ever where and it’s unlikely that they discontinue their invasion of our private lives.
The Ugly:
Four Americans killed in the Benghazi terrorist attack and many murdered in the Fast and Furious gunrunner operation – this is two of the ugliest scandals in our Country. Five bankers dead in the last few weeks, a JP Morgan executive is the 5th one murdered – this is serious http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/archives/10482
It’s hard to define all that’s Obama and his Administration has done to this Nation in just a bit over five years. They have attacked our Religion, our freedom of speech, our 2nd amendment, our businesses, our healthcare and our schools have been invaded.
The latest maneuver by Obama is to monitor our Newsrooms, news staff and staffers – they will decide what information Americans need, if it’s newsworthy and demand that news venues disclose their news philosophy. Here’s the good news Federal Communications Commission put this invasion of our privacy on hold.
Our Government has been infiltrated with the Muslim Brotherhood, Communists, Socialists and at this time whether we want to admit it or not, Americans have reluctantly given their beautiful Nation over to a “Dictator.” We’re no longer in control, our freedoms are disintegrating and big Government has taken over…
It’s like sitting here totally helpless, being forced to watch a “horror” movie – the House of Representatives would be more aptly named the “House of thieves.” They grab our money (which they are in charge of) and willingly, almost gleefully hand it over to Obama & the DEMS – case in point thanks to the House our debt ceiling was raised again without any provisions to budget for the increase, just more free money to Obama & gang. After all, why should they worry – it’s just our money!
The behavior of the GOP is by far the “ugliest” most disgraceful and disconcerting issue that Americans have at this time. Our Country is under siege by both Republicans and Democrats. Starting with the stimulus, the invasive Government grants, the debt ceiling increases there’s nothing to show for it but a bunch of glorified politicians in our White House frittering our money away for political gain.
The Republicans aren’t good stewards of our money; they continue their bloody spending seemingly enjoying every minute of it with the DEMS. They don’t monitor Obamacare, the money being sent to Muslim terrorists, the misuse of our stimulus bill, the pork crap, the green scams, the programs to assist Americans during the housing bubble and the list goes on. They’ve definitely waged war against America and all Americans.
Bottom-line is this - the House controls the purse strings or better yet doesn’t control anything. When we hear from Republicans it is always after the fact – after our money has been spent on Obama and Democrats reckless pursuit of a “false ideology.”
Time to go to Washington DC and clean out the garbage, the gophers and the rats in our icebox.
As Always,
Little Tboca
In the tradition of Sarah Palin, black tea party leader Katrina Pierson is a beautiful God, family, country and Constitution loving conservative Republican. Fearless and outspoken, Pierson's inspiring life story nukes the Democrats' mythical Republican War on Women.
Sad that I even have to go there, Pierson's skin-color derails the Democrats' deplorable narrative that Republican equals racist.
Pierson is running for office, Texas 32nd Congressional District. After hurdling over establishment Republican Pete Sessions in the primary and defeating her Democrat opponent, Pierson will be the Democrats' worst nightmare.
The last thing Democrats want on the national stage is a black conservative Republican, anti-abortion, successful single mom who worked her way through college to achieve her American dream (without seeking government for answers). They do not want another non victim-minded black elected official out there touting traditional values; preaching that the rewards of hard work and self-reliance are self-respect and dignity. It would drive Democrats to drink.
Oh my gosh, what if women across America became inspired to emulate Pierson rather than the totally government dependent pathetic character in the Democrats' Julia ad.
Pierson boldly stated, “Democrat policies keep women in poverty”.
Black politicians like Katrina Pierson, Sen. Tim Scott, Niger Innis, Allen West and others who view themselves as Americans rather than members of a victimized voting bloc, offering common sense solutions, will not be tolerated.
Prime examples are the Democrats' relentless attacks on former Congressman Allen West and the NAACP's campaign to destroy Sen. Tim Scott.
Pierson is sure to suffer a similar fate with every rise in her poll numbers and successes.
This is why it is vitally important that we bolster Pierson with our utmost support and encouragement.
Yes, Obama and the Democrats appear to be holding all the cards; a complicit mainstream media and a spineless GOP petrified of being called racist. Our ace in the hole is a diligent army of patriots armed with right, truth and a relentless resolve to restore liberty and freedom to America.
Staying focused on confidently espousing the virtues of Conservatism, getting conservatives elected and holding positive role models high and proud for all the world to see will produce results. When presented correctly, Conservatism speaks to the human spirit. Liberalism is counter to the higher nature of man. This is how we make a difference folks. This is how we defeat this evil Administration which encourages sloth and is attempting to transform our great nation. This is how we win!
GOP establishment pundits seek to disqualify Pierson saying she lacks experience.
I say Pierson has “the right stuff” and epitomizes the intentions of our Founding Fathers; sending concerned citizens committed to service to Washington rather than career politicians skilled in making deals solely for personal gain.
Five years ago, Pierson's speech at a Texas tea party endeared her to patriots across America. She has been a rising star in the movement ever since.
Pierson is ready, willing and able to take the next step toward making a significant difference serving “the people” -- Texas 32nd Congressional District.
The tidal wave effect of a Pierson victory will reap national rewards; adding to the ranks of Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and others; conservative warriors fighting for the rights, freedom and liberty of We The People.
Let Katrina Pierson know that we have her back. Be there for her folks.

=============================================
Dr Ron Paul (father of #SenRandPaul) is great in core principles of economics, but weak by supporting isolationist foreign policy, and failing to protect our interests and allies around the world, including Israel, which is as nervous of #RonPaul as they are with #BarackObama and #WhiteHouse Administration.
In fact, former House Speaker #Newt Gingrich has Israel's strongest unequivocable support. And, unlike Speaker Gingrich, Congressman Dr. Ron Paul has not balanced 4 budgets, has not reformed welfare, did not craft Reaganomics with Art Laffer, Congressman Jack Kemp, President Ronald Reagan and Congressman and Speaker Newt Gingrich, did not lead the House of Representatives as Newt Gingrich did, nor work across the aisle with President Bill Clinton and convince President Bill Clinton to follow Reaganomics, which created another 16 million new jobs, on top of the 12 or so million gained under Reagan, thus presiding over the longest growth period in history.
Dr Ron Paul, where were you? Hello??
In the Libertarian Party trying to oppose military (which thru Reagan brought down the Soviet Empire) and legalize marijuana !!
Which is Ron's other weakness, his amoral position regarding the role of government in "social issues". He is for allowing every man to do whatever is right in his own eyes, and therefore would take no stance to protect the unborn, and would be in as much trouble as Obama is right now with the Religious Liberty issues. We have Liberty, but within the bounds of guiding moral principles which the government is ordained by God to uphold and protect, those principles embodied within our constitution , bill of rights, and declaration of independence, for which America stands.
Alan Simpson of Simpson-Bowles fame lays out his experience in dealing with the President.
As you have heard me say before that volunteering at the Bush Center library is a "great gig". I could write about my great experiences daily; but today was one of the highlights, so far…
Southern Methodist University has a lecture series called the Tate Lecture Series which has a significant speaker every month from September to May. Last month was Charles Krauthammer and last night was Erskine Bowles and Alan Simpson. Tickets to those events are like "hens teeth" and they are passed down from father to son or family to family and has a waiting list of 7 years for season tickets for the general public. One of the benefits of these visits is that these folks normally visit the library (after normal hours) while in town.
Today's experience was worth a lot. Alan Simpson was the co-author of the Simpson - Bowles Commission appointed by the current president to come up with a plan and path forward to help the nation get back on a sound fiscal footing. It was to include spending limits and controls that would address existing entitlements, a change in tax codes and the abolishment of selected existing tax breaks for special interest groups. Accordingly, It called for a sound fiscal plan that would get us into reasonable balance in 10 years.
As everyone knows, Alan Simpson (R) (82) is a retired senator from Wyoming and is known for his "frank" opinions and statements and in some ways seen as eccentric in some of his views. Erskine Bowles (D) (69), who was Chief of Staff in former administrations, is a respected Democrat and was an equal partner in putting this study and report together with supposedly high respect and influence in the Democratic Party.
The intent was for the current President to use their report as a road map to fiscal responsibility. This report was issued in 2010 and as quickly dismissed by the president as a non-starter prior to the election of 2012 based on its perceived political impact on his re-election.
When I saw Simpson today in the museum, I approached him to welcome him to the museum as a team leader since that is my job for the general public. Normally, VIP's or "celebs" have Foundation escorts during these visits, but in typical Simpson fashion, he wanted to be just another visitor.
All volunteers wear the same uniform and have a prominent name tag for the public to see. Little did I know that when I approached him to welcome him, he would receive me as a long lost friend and it was Howard this and Howard that in typical politician fashion. After two or three minutes of asking about the library (which he loved) and how often we work and what days do we work and other small talk, I asked him for his assessment of our current national fiscal and spending problems and his view on the future efforts needed to turn the nation around.
I spent the next 15 minutes (just the two of us) listening to him expound on his view of our future. His first answer was that with this president we will never make progress. He then related a story that when Bowles and Simpson requested time with the president to urge him to seriously consider their report, he was stunned by the response (as was Bowles).
The president told them that he would take no action on any of the Commission's recommendations and explained his rationale in the following way - prior to his re-election and probably after his re-election he would do nothing. Simply put it was a pure political decision. He stated that to accept reductions in the growth of entitlements would alienate his base and he would only look at the tax increase side of the recommendations after the election. He further added that to accept the recommendations would give the Republicans a victory as seen by the voters and he was not ever going to do that now or ever. He was adamant that he wanted more spending and more taxes and that he would pursue that course throughout his administration until his last day in office.
Stunned by that answer, Bowles asked him if he would do what's right for the country and exert some leadership to save the nation's fiscal future. Obama's response was that he would let the next president worry about the spending and debt, but he was going to spend and tax and re-distribute wealth throughout his term.
Both men were furious and after spending 1.5 hours with the president, they left in utter disbelief. Bowles, thinking that he could have some credibility with the D's in the House and Senate tried to gather some influence with that group and was quickly advised that the Obama agenda would go forward at all costs.
In one desperate attempt to get some traction, Bowles thought that if he went to see the president without Simpson being there, he could have a more meaningful result. That effort resulted in the same answer as they got the first time and that meeting was closer to the election and was dismissed as untimely and unnecessary by Obama. The end result is what we are now seeing each and every day. Bowles and Simpson believe that this president is not interested in anything except his political agenda.
About this time Simpson's wife joined us and we talked for few more minutes as she reminded him that they had a plane to catch and they had to move along.
In summary, I should not have asked my questions given my role of a neutral docent, but as an American I wanted to know his thoughts. I was stunned that he would be that candid with a perfect stranger, but knowing Simpson it has been typical of his behavior over his career.
These are the reasons that volunteering at the Bush Center make life in America bearable for me at this time. I thought you might want to see this insight from an experienced Washington insider. He was candid and as he left he said, "Don't expect anything good for America until this guy is gone"

Why is it that they never report on the number of US Military casualties in Afghanistan? I can remember years past when every night on the nightly news there was a "body count" reported of the number of deaths in Iraq. Doesn't anyone find it funny that under this administration - we aren't hearing more about the number that have died? Why aren't they rolling out Sheehan every night to protest the war? Could it be that they don't want to tarnish the annointed one's image?
I had the pleasure of substituting in a 9th grade math class recently. I was astonished by my experience. I realized that busy work is the norm and apathy is the rule for math classes in middle and high schools. However, I found out much more about the system than I bargained for.
In the past, I have been in high school class rooms or various subjects and found that students are, in general, cuddled, bored and not challenged. Most students lavish at the opportunity to do absolutely nothing, even if work has been assigned.
In this school, one of every nine students has failing grades. Math and reading skills are lacking and, under the common core standards, they are allowed to pass on to the next grade, which may explain why 18% of the students at this school haven’t met the minimum standard.
There are reasons for the tacit and acute crisis in the schools. Standards have been lowered; discipline is lacking among students and, in some cases, not enforced by the school, maturity and apathy has been at battle with brighter kids and teachers. Many students have the ability but are simply not challenged. The minimum task is completed, time is the villain and apathy conquers.
Not all students are equal:
The major problem is that the kids that have the ability to excel are generally held back by the standardized testing. Everyone is equal mindset is forced on local schools by the Federal Government. Washington uses the almighty dollar to fund and provide materials in the form of text books which are more agenda driven than informative. Teachers, nationwide, are teaching a state test, rather than a curriculum of critical thinking. Some states have a budget shortfall and will have to alter the curriculum to meet the common core testing. Common Core takes the local control away, which makes it much more difficult to differentiate students into the learning progression.
New math method, in elementary school, confuses students. Problem is that nearly half of the students do not need this creative confusing mess. Give them special projects rather wait for the rest of the class to catch up. Peer teaching is also an alternative for the students that understand the subject as a way accelerate their progression. Some ultimately will never catch up. If they cannot meet the minimum standard for math and reading, why give them a pass? This 9th grade math class was to simply connect dots that they graphed and then color the cartoon character with crayons. Many students viewed this as a waste of time and I couldn’t agree more. I wondered if this is the exception and not the standard. In other words, simply busy work. However, students told me that they get a “break” when they complete different blocks in math. I am wondering: a break from what?
Ever think about looking at the family unit?
There is one big difference between my school years and today, which is the breakdown of the family unit. This attributes immensely to the failing of kids in school. Study after study has proven that kids with involved parents with school work have increased the odds to become successful students.
It seems like Common Core is designed to provide for the less fortunate kids while leaving the more gifted kids at the station with them. Common Core standards will further enshrine the public schools. The elaborate plans will include required national assessments within the Common Core Standards as a tool to institute massive data collection about American school children that has nothing to do with education, and everything to do about Government intrusion and control.
Today’s student must get used to cameras and monitoring at all activities, to include the food you eat, internet interaction, both socially and electronically, and, accept the changes, or modifications, to meet the “standards” set forth by common core.
I know that kids read George Orwell’s 1984 in school but are not aware that 1984 is closer to reality than not. Most have no idea what the book Animal Farm is all about. Civics may not be taught in some states, but where I am substituting, it is a requirement. Therefore, at least a few will learn enough information to become an informed future participant in the American society. Unfortunately, most of our youth are conveniently ignorant in civics and are only aware of bullet points, watching or listening capsules of filtered information.
Most schools are not doing their job in educating, as cited in recent studies that a majority do not know much about the amendments to the constitution or do not know that the earth rotates around the sun. This fits very well for the “global warming” crowd that has been editing dissenting information to support their scheme by slowing but very methodically eroding American traditions
Common Core is not the answer. It was said a long time ago, that when government gets involved in education: education is finished. The Federal government is on the same page for a big city as it does for rural America: the same page for successful schools and unsuccessful, with no regard to family structures. It just does not work. Education, as most other things, starts at the home. The Federal government, through common core, has determined that they know what is best for the youth of America, diminishing the role of even the traditional families that still have involvement with their kids at every level of their school life. When parents do not set the example, the school does and to their Big Government philosophy.
Some states have instituted Planned Parenthood to persuade that abortions and sex education on demand are in the student’s best interest as well as the degeneration of religion. The alternate family has a mother, father and children. History of the US is rewritten and kids are tested on the revised history. The implementation of Common Core is the precursor for the Progressive hammer for higher education. Conservatives, for example, are against the common American, are racist and are propped up by big business are randomly held as fact, until the hemorrhaged student finds the truth: Those who scream adhere to the accusations that they judge.
For me, it is clear that common core is not for the common good.
Apocalypticism has exploded in popularity and, while nuclear war and pandemics have always been a starting point, the concept of the Zombie Apocalypse trumps them all. The appeal and wild popularity of shows like The Walking Dead, movies like World War Z, and the slew of apocalyptic, gloom and doom series and specials on cable television continues to grow by leaps and bounds. But the reasons behind such interest are often subconscious at times and not fully understood.
The Leftist activist and agitator Noam Chomsky was recently asked “why there’s this preoccupation with the apocalypse and with zombies right now in our culture?” I concurred with the first part of his response which was that that he felt the focus on zombies was “a reflection of fear and desperation” by “an unusually frightened country.” But quickly the obsessive liberal impulse to blame America first and foremost for all ills, real and imagined including the public’s obsession with a zombie apocalypse, rose irresistibly to the surface.
He went through the history of fear in popular culture as outlined in the book War Stars by Bruce Franklin. Although the fear is embodied in various forms, he sees a common thread throughout:
“There are a couple of themes that run through it that are pretty striking. For one thing, one major theme in popular literature is that we are about to face destruction from some terrible, awesome enemy. And at the last-minute we are saved by a superhero or a super weapon, or in recent years high school kids going to the hills to chase away the Russians, things like that. That’s one theme that runs through constantly. And there’s a sub-theme. It turns out this enemy, this horrible enemy that’s about to destroy us, is somebody we’re crushing.”
“ I think it’s, much of it is kind of just a recognition, at some level of the psyche, that if you’ve got your boot on somebody’s neck, there’s something wrong. And that the people you’re oppressing may rise up and defend themselves, and then you’re in trouble. And another is strange properties the country has always had of fear of invented dangers. There is a kind of paranoid streak in the culture that’s pretty unusual.”
And that’s about the best the Left can do I guess in trying to fathom the country’s fascination with a Zombie Apocalypse. It’s all just collective, subconscious guilt. Nice try, I suppose, but if that was a “hit or miss” explanation it’s far closer to a miss than a hit.
There is indeed a vast undercurrent of suspicion, unease, paranoia, division, worry, pain, and even trauma right underneath the surface of the national consciousness. I believe it is manifested in the popularity of zombie themed entertainment and the concept of the doomsday scenario in general in popular culture. The feeling that things are rapidly unraveling and coming apart is a constant theme in social media and shared by vast swaths of the population, not to mention visualized in everything from backyard bunkers to Zombie apocalypse decals, Facebook groups, and bar crawls.
Collectively, we have lost our belief in a positive future.
The truth is that the American political system has been dysfunctional for decades and the country seems to have become functionally insane since the attacks on 9-11. The fears and rage unleashed that day has, in turn, unleashed a fast-growing and aggressive slew of government agencies, policies, and powers. Recent revelations have made us aware that the turn-key tyranny, 1984 surveillance state is upon us with every cell call made and every internet email, photo, comment, and social media post recorded and sucked into gargantuan government data bases for no discernible or reasonable reason that the average person can fathom.
Two unpopular wars and the eventual election of the most intellectually bankrupt, corrupt, radical, and left-wing President in American history has only further divided an already deeply divided nation. Not since the Civil War has the nation been as polarized as it is now and the hatred that exists between the Right and the Left is real and palpable as each bitterly blames the others for every economic, societal, cultural, and policy ill that one can imagine.
The once powerful Republic is basically bankrupt and the financial system living only on borrowed time and credit. And a myriad of federal agencies and vast numbers of the citizenry are frantically arming themselves and stocking up on ammunition in a frenzy that shows no sign of abating. The country increasingly has no sense of itself and is flooded with everything from vast hordes of illegal immigrants to bitter cynicism while the traditional pillars and institutions of the State and society are under unceasing attack from all sides. The once proud partners, logic and common sense, lay rotting in the gutter having been slain by our progressive comrades when they were perhaps most needed.
In the end, the citizenry can sense that we are on the wrong path and that something is deeply and fundamentally wrong with the country and the direction is it headed. They may not understand why and may even vote for certain political parties and politicians that are leading them down the wrong path. But they understand it is there and that it is real.
As the vastly powerful American Empire begins to totter its societal values decay and its internal cohesiveness unravels. The New Rome begins to mimic the Old. And when the greatest empire of the ancient world did fall it ushered in an era of darkness that lasted nearly a thousand years. Perhaps such unconscious fears and realizations by the populace of what their society, culture, and nation could possibly undergo (economic collapse, dirty bombs, bloody revolution, EMP induced dark age etc.) is mirrored in the depictions of a final, gory, and horrible apocalypse on-screen.
If there’s a single theme at the heart of The Walking Dead and similar shows, it is the fragility of civilization. And as it continues to unravel at breakneck speed, fear of the future manifests itself in interesting ways.
It's time for our elected officials to do their jobs and remove this imposter from the White House. His next stop should be prison and several of his minions should be there with him. I feel that an open rebellion is a possibility, I pray that this is not true but my gut tells me differently. After 4 tours in Vietnam I have learned to listen to my gut. God save us all. GR Janes.
The text of SR-511 tells every American that Congress is fully aware of the content of our Constitution and it's meaning.
They are fully aware that Barack Hussein Obama is ineligible to sit the office of President of the United States. The text of SR-511 also tells us they are aware of a Supreme Court ruling on Suffrage (voting) that was decided back in 1875 - 88 U.S. 162, Minor v. Happersett.
Supreme Justice Waite (holding the same position as Supreme Justice Roberts does today) set legal precedent for following generations of Americans to understand what the Constitutional term "Natural Born Citizen" meant. To view this yourself, here is a link to the Cornell Law Library available to the public; http://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/88/162
Following is a summary of SR-511;
It tells us that the Senate Judiciary Committee (SJC) Chaired by Senator Patrick Leahy determined that:
#1. The SJC recognizes the Constitutional term "Natural Born Citizen" and fully understands a presidential candidate must meet this Constitutional requirement.
#2. Senator McCain was born of two (2) American Citizen parents.
#3. Senator McCain was born on U.S. soil, an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936.
#4. Senator McCain met the Constitutional requirement of "Natural Born Citizen", Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States.

Notable are the signatures of two people who signed on this Senate Resolution.... Senators Clinton and Obama......
Had anyone else signed this - if these two signatures were not present - I would hold other opinions, yet I do not.
Reviewing both documents, citizens begin to understand we have far more problems than many thought we had.
Occam's Razor leaves no other possible explanation.
Senator McCain himself should have been the very first person to make this observation and acted upon it, yet that has never happened. Senator McCain edited himself out of the equation by his own inaction and silence. He can never be a "president".

New York McDonald’s fires 8-year worker after she donates food to firefighters!
A McDonald’s restaurant in New York fired a worker after 8 years because she “opened a whole bee’s nest” by buying food for firefighters after they put out a house fire, she said this week.
Heather Levia, 23, told WIVB that she was working as a manager when the group of firefighters came in and ordered 23 breakfast sandwiches after fighting the blaze. It was a cold day so Levia covered the $83 cost of the meals herself.
“Just because I appreciate everything they do,” she said.
When more firefighters came in and ordered $70 worth of food, Levia wanted to cover those meals too. But she is a single mother with twins who is working two jobs to put herself through nursing school.
So, she called her boss, thinking he might pay for the meals because he often gives food to police officers.
After her boss said no, she called corporate and was told no again. Eventually, Levia and her coworkers came up with enough cash to cover the meals themselves.

Anyone incarcerated should lose their voting rights. ---- Anyone on welfare should lose voting rights. ----- Anyone not owning land should not have voting rights. --- Anyone not passing a minimum IQ level test should not vote or run for office. No Senators, Representatives or Presidents should not hold office without prior military service. Only verified citizens of the United States should be allowed to vote. The problem with this country today is we have more people voting for a living than people working for a living.
The reason for non land owners is to keep public housing voters out and others that might be leaches on society from voting themselves more free benefits as the do today. Think about it if you live in a community and you have a lot of apartment dwellers and housing projects do you want them deciding on you property tax questions ?
