Howdy all!  And welcome to the weekend eve!  We’ve got spring events cooking up, like first weeding, seeding, and maybe even mowing.  Or, there is the chance of more snow in your forecast.  So who knows?  I do know that we all have the chance to celebrate my heritage on Saturday with St. Patrick’s Day.  We’re planning a traditional Irish meal; corned beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes, along with some Irish soda bread.  So, in the spirit, “Go raibh do ghloine lán go deo. Go raibh láidir go breá an dion thar do cheann.  Go raibh tú í Neamh, leathúair os comhair a bhfuil a fhíos ag an diabhal atá tú bás.”  Translated, “May your glass be ever full.  May the roof over your head be always strong.  May you be in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you're dead.

No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. ~ Micah 6:8

It really seems to me, from a comprehensive view of things, that a period is fast approaching, big with events of the most interesting importance.  When the councils we pursue and the part we act, may lead decisively to liberty, or to Slavery. ~ George Washington, letter to John Bannister at Valley Forge, April 21, 1778

Hmm, is this a prophecy from the past?  George was talking about the efforts he and the army were preparing to undertake.  Their success would determine liberty or slavery to the king.  The army was just coming out of a hard winter in Pennsylvania; hungry, cold, and lacking supplies.  Yet they still had battles to engage in.

So, what do you think; prophetic?  Well, yes of course.  It’s been over three years that We the People have been striving to restore our great nation to what is was, what it is supposed to be.  We have a great deal to do, and not much time.  The focus must be on installing a government that will reduce itself; a government that will reduce the burden on the people.  We need a government that will restore the Constitution and obey the Constitution, and hold people (including themselves) accountable to the Constitution.  Our work this year will determine whether we restore our liberty, or fall to the slavery of socialism or worse, communism.  Funny, the job I had while serving in the Navy required me to swear I did not have any ties to any subversive groups who would overthrow the country, or any communist organizations.  If I did and lied, I could spend 10 years in jail, and/or a $10,000 fine.  Now, the guy who would send launch codes is either a socialist/communist, or is involved heavily with multiple organizations that would love to overthrow the present form of government we still hold dear to our hearts.

So, we know the reality of our situation, as George did.  We know the potential outcomes based on our performance, as George did.  What to do.  What to do?  Micah may have a word or two to help.  Our Creator has given us the path.  We all know what we must do.  We must do what is right.  Love mercy, yes.  Walk humbly with our Creator, yes.  Our nation was founded on values and principles that come from God.  Our path has been determined by Him, and we must do what He requires, what is right.  And remember, “Fillean meal ar an meallaire.”  Or, “Evil returns to the evil doer.”

One last thought.  I sign off with the phrase stand with Israel.  Israel has been under threat of extinction for a very long time.  The present threat is very real, and possible.  Also, as a Christian, I understand that the beginnings of my religion are based in Judaism.  All this, and the fact that Israel has been a close friend of the United States since its first days as a formally recognized nation.  This is why I stand in my heart with Israel.  I use this sign off as a statement of my desire for Israel to maintain its sovereignty, as well as an invitation for others to do so.  Some may not feel as I do, and that is your right.  I am not demanding you be with me.  I invite you.  But I will always STAND WITH ISRAEL, because I choose to.

So, take care, God bless,

AND STAND WITH ISRAEL!!!

Howdy all!  You know what?

Me neither.

So,..

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. ~ John 1:12

The executive branch of this government never has, nor will suffer, while I preside, any improper conduct of its officers to escape with impunity. ~ George Washington, letter to Gouverneur Morris, 1795

Oh, if only these were words in the oath of office for Presidency.  Wait a minute; there are words to the effect in the oath that’s in the Constitution.  They are sworn, (or have affirmed if they don’t like the O word) ‘support this Constitution’.  So, by not supporting it, they would be violating the Constitution, right?  Then why aren’t any of those who have purposely violated the Constitution been held accountable?  Could it be, because those who should have violated the constitution themselves?  No, that would never happen.

Actually, it has happened.  It is happening, and those managing our government are lax in their responsibilities.  So they need to be fired.  Every single one of them in a managing position need to be replaced.  Remember, don’t call them leaders.  They couldn’t even lead a rain drop to fall down, let alone lead a nation.  I will admit there are a few federally elected employees who could be considered leaders.  But the majority of them are lemmings with no other lemming in front of them, so they have no path forward to success.

In the verse from John we understand that those who believe and accept God have the right to become children of God.  Let’s project that on the situation with our federally elected employees and the roles they are supposed to fill.  Those who believe and accept the Constitution as the true law of our great nation will have the right to become, or continue to be considered leaders of our nation.  They need a wakeup call.  They need to be employed elsewhere.  We need leadership, not management.  And don’t leave out those in the hiring process.  Whoever becomes President must know they will be held to the same standards of excellence we expect all the federally elected employees are.

Take care, God bless,

AND STAND WITH ISRAEL!!

Howdy all!  And how has your week been so far?  I hope it has been good.  It’s been great here.  Grand daughter is back and had her first birthday.  Wasn’t enough chocolate on the cake, so Grandpa got the bottle of chocolate syrup and added a bit, and a bit more.  And then I added some more to make it look right.  It was worth the laundry duty!

For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. ~ 2 Corinthians 4:6

What is to be the consequence, in case the Congress shall misconstrue this part [the necessary and proper clause] of the Constitution and exercise powers not warranted by its true meaning, I answer the same as if they should misconstrue or enlarge any other power vested in them ... the success of the usurpation will depend on the executive and judiciary departments, which are to expound and give effect to the legislative acts; and in a last resort a remedy must be obtained from the people, who can by the elections of more faithful representatives, annul the acts of the usurpers. ~ James Madison, Federalist No. 44, 1788

This is it folks!  This is the quote of the election!  Dare I say quote of the year!  Mr. Madison gives us instruction on how to deal with the usurpation of our country, our government.  Too long have we watched this administration, and dare I say many of the past administrations get away with overreaching their constitutional boundaries.  If it’s not the President and his cabinet, it’s the Congressional body, both parts.  And even the courts have their own unique way of making odorous deposits at times.  Checks and balances only work when the parties involved recognize the error of the others, and stand to stop it, as the present GOP House said they would (ok, breath slower, that last statement only prompted an anxiety attack, nothing else).  But when there is no check or balance in government, we the people must use our check, our balance, our VOTE!  Case in point; the primary season.  Willard (Mitt’s real first name) is so certain he already is the GOP nominee, but he forgot to tell those in Alabama and Mississippi.  And at this writing, Hawaii is in full swing.  They may even sway towards Paul.  The people told Willard he is NOT a sure thing.  Heck, even Obama lost 15 counties in the Oklahoma Dem primary, and he’s running unopposed!  So, what do we learn from this?  We learn that we count!  We are in charge.  We the People DO have a say.  Almost no one in the House, the Senate, surely not the Oval Office gave a second thought to their own constituents.  Guess they forgot that constituents to them also means employer.  It is time we show them who really is the boss.  In the verse from 2 Corinthians we are reminded that God has placed the light of the world in our hearts so we could know the Glory of Him through our relationship with Jesus.  Although this is a Christian truth, it is also true for every one of every faith that the path to our Creator is shining bright for all.  So, too is the path to free ourselves from this darkness our federally elected employees have cast us into.  They think of themselves as leaders.  They are not.  They are managers.  Management is a position, a title.  Leadership is a skill, an ability that is either naturally occurring or acquired through experience.  Leaders are not always in management, and managers are not always leaders.  There are some exceptions but for the most part the vast number of managers in Congress and the Administration are poor managers.  And since We the People are the Upper Management, it is time for us to do our job.  It’s time to rake out the weeds.  Time to annul the usurpers; the ones in the White House and the ones in the Capital.  ALL OF THEM!!

Take care, God bless,

AND STAND WITH ISRAEL!!

Howdy all!  Well, the weekend is over.  Went and picked up my daughter and granddaughter, and celebrated the first year of the little one’s life here on earth.  She’s walking now, but I couldn’t have her walk all the way here.  So I drove all 543 miles round trip.  Now I know why I’m not a long haul trucker.  God bless those souls!   I do know that I received the blessing of being present for my grand child’s first birthday after bringing her over 500 miles to the compound.  It was definitely worth the trip.

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation.   Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. ~ James 1:12

Although there were some few things in the Constitution recommended by the Foederal Convention to the determination of the People, which did not full accord with my wishes; yet, having taken every circumstance seriously into consideration, I was convinced it approached nearer to perfection than any government hitherto instituted among Men. ~ George Washington, letter to Edward Newenham, 1788

This is a good way to start the week.  Washington’s letter to Edward Newenham gives us some great insight to our founders’ thoughts.   For those friends of ours who believe the Constitution is a living document, meant to be changed along with the wind, give them this perspective.  The founders all knew that the Constitution was not perfect.  They all had something they would have wanted in, or out, but did not get it their way.

However, by the tone of their writings after they finished the Constitution, these great men went out to help get it ratified, and spoke so highly about its strength.  Washington said it.  Even though there were things that didn’t get in, he was convinced that the Constitution was better than any other constitution ever instituted by men!  Over the course of the next 200 or so years, our Constitution endured many tests.  Our federally elected employees, sworn by oath to uphold and defend our Constitution have been tempted to change it.  At times they succeeded.  But overall the Constitution has prevailed as the more successful description of governance the earth has ever experienced.

In the passage from James, those who patiently endure tests and temptation will receive the blessings that God has promised.  Our Creator gave such guidance to the founders to develop the Constitution.  He is ready now to give guidance to those who endure the testing and temptation to alter or destroy the Constitution.  Some have given in to the temptation, and are trying as hard as they can to eliminate the Constitution.  Fortunately, many more members of the We the People club are patiently performing our sworn oath; formal or moral oath, to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign or domestic.  We do so willingly.  The reward for succeeding is great, and worth the effort.

Tell your friends to be patient, and stand alongside you.  Better yet, ask them if they recognize that you are already standing alongside them!

Take care, God bless,

AND STAND WITH ISRAEL!!

PS:  Edward Newenham was a British politician who took up the American cause, becoming one of our best spokespersons in the British Parliament.  He worked with Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, and le marquis of Lafayette.  A new name for me.  Worth the time to research him.

Howdy all!  Well, it’s the weekend again.  I’d like to say it is busy around the compound, but it’s too busy to say that!  (Can you say conundrum?)  And the weekend looks to be real busy, so I am sending this out on Friday.  I hope this doesn’t mess up your score card!

You are the light of the world - like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. ~ Matthew 5:14

We are firmly convinced, and we act on that conviction, that with nations as with individuals our interests soundly calculated will ever be found inseparable from our moral duties, and history bears witness to the fact that a just nation is trusted on its word when recourse is had to armaments and wars to bridle others. ~ Thomas Jefferson, Second Inaugural Address, 1805

America and Americans are truly unique.  Nowhere, and at no time in history has any group of individuals acted as one on so many occasions to stand for what they believe is right and just.  Even just thinking about this statement makes my chest pump out in such pride and joy I can feel my heart smiling!!  Jefferson says in his address that Americans act on the conviction that a nation and its people acting as one are trusted on their word.  It is this conviction that has made us the city on the hill.  So, why then do Americans want to end the conviction and dedication we have embraced for so long?  Just look at Facebook.  Look at the apps that show up, asking you to ‘like’ this cause or that.  Some are funny, some are serious.  Some are focused on a truly necessary charity.  But, some are centered on the hate they have for any considered conservative.  Take for example the issue surrounding Rush Limbaugh.  You know those silly little apps that show up on Facebook that ask you to click ‘like’ if you are for this issue or that concern?  Well there is one that asks to like if Rush should lose sponsors.  Do you know where it comes from?  It’s a website called credoaction.com.  They have a list of different causes, mostly liberal to socialistic.  They are in turn sponsored by another group called workingassets.com. These guys support groups like credoaction.com through a cell phone service.  When the cell phone user uses the phone, working assets gets a donation that can go to whatever cause the phone user wants.  I wonder what happens when the phone user doesn’t choose a cause.  I wonder how many causes are funded this way.  I wonder if the free phones given away to the poor somehow give money to this cause.

So, what to do?  Just like anything else, vet it out.  I’m looking, and would like some company!  Better, find something that you question, and vet it out.  We can act together, as a nation, and be found inseparable from our moral duties to our nation.  Jesus is the light of the world, amen, like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden, amen.  So too, our nation is the city on the hill.  Others are trying to hide us.  Keep the lights shining.  Don’t ever let it go out.  Do what you must, even if alone.  A question has been asked, “Who will be the next Breitbart?”  We all can be, for he was one of us – We the People.

Take care, God bless,

Howdy all!  Well, I miss a couple of days and whew!  It’s Friday!  But all is well; constitutional crises, socialism and communism bedding down in the White House for as long a stay as they can.  Yeah I didn’t miss anything yet.  The only good news is that Robo-Dog might get his bionics removed next week!  That’s when the zaniness begins.  Ever let loose a Great Dane after it had been penned up for six weeks?

The LORD is my light and my salvation - so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? ~ Psalm 27:1

All see, and most admire, the glare which hovers round the external trappings of elevated office. To me there is nothing in it, beyond the lustre which may be reflected from its connection with a power of promoting human felicity. ~ George Washington, letter to Catherine Macaulay Graham, 1790

‘So yoo wanna be an elected official, enh?  Yoo got any money?  Yoo got any frennds with money?  Huh?  Yoo want to make money as an elected official??  HA!  First yoo gotta give the money, then, and maybe then yoo get some.’  OK.  Maybe getting coopted is not so subtle.  Maybe there are better and easier ways to get the people’s money in your bank account.  Wait,..

Seriously, even in Washington’s time there were those who aspired to be elite in government, just for the fame and fortune that was ‘expected’ of the position.  His message speaks to that.  It also mentions what he thought of political office.  There was nothing to it, except the ability to help the people.  Imagine a man who aspired to the highest office in the land, and he only saw the office as a means to help people.  Wouldn’t that be nice today?  Wouldn’t that be extraordinarily nice today?  Instead, we see these men on our TV; hear them on our radios; begging to be your federally elected employee.  And the national cumulative thought is ‘we don’t trust a single one of them.’  Why?  So many reasons, but the general reason is that they are doing it for themselves first.  So what are we to do?  Should we trust any single one of them?  How do we?  Well, first we need to do what Andrew Breitbart was going to do.  VET THEM!  Search the internet.  Find what you need to find.  Read what you need to read.  Share everything you find.  Then, turn to your Creator.  As said in Psalm 27:1, the Lord is our salvation, and our fortress.  He will protect you.  He protects me and those I love.  Of that I am absolutely certain.  Why should I be afraid?  Why should you?

The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive. ~ Proverbs 16:21

The right of freely examining public characters and measures, and of free communication among the people thereon ... has ever been justly deemed the only effectual guardian of every other right." --James Madison, Virginia Resolutions, 1798

Why do people, ordinary citizens, good Americans want to know about the background of our President?  Some say that it’s because of the tabloid mania that grips everyone when they see those crazy headlines at the checkout counter.  You know, the ones that say Elvis had a love child born just last week – born to an illegal alien from Jupiter.  But, the vast majority of the people would like to know who is in the White House.  I don’t just mean now, I mean always.  Taft, Johnson, Nixon, Jefferson, Obama, Bush(s), Adams(s), Reagan, Jackson; Americans are always curious about their managers.  If we weren’t, there would be no presidential libraries.  So it isn’t far from reality that so many Americans would be concerned about our present top federally elected employee’s extraordinary efforts to prevent any documentation from being made available for public review.  The initial desire was to see the history of how this person came from where he did to the Oval Office.  The fascination was to understand the truly historic path to the presidency.  Now, that fascination has turned to skepticism, and conspiracy theory, furthered by recent revelations disputing the veracity of what has been released.  If the present administration had any sense of their place in history, they would have made the information available immediately.  Had they done any reading of any founder, they may have stumbled upon the writing from Madison here.  People want to know that those employed by the people, charged with protecting the rights and sanctity of our nation, will actually do that; plain and simple.  We the people always want free and open communications among ourselves, and our elected officials.  Those who have acted wise, and understood the desire of the people, made sure this desire of the people was satisfied, and dealt with early and finitely.  Those who may have had something to question have always had a fair chance to speak to those ‘indiscretions’, because they were up front and honest. Those who were (and are) secretive, have always been held to more scrutiny.  They always will.  And so it is that we have a president who is not trusted by many.  And I mean MANY.  His lack of understanding this concept has prevented the fair exchange of pleasant words between himself and his employers; We the People.  The saddest part is, the continued lack of trust many Americans have for Barrack H Obama stems from this lack of communications.  The socialistic actions he, his administration and the Congress have taken only exacerbate the lack of trust, lack of faith We the People have in our managers.

PS: I’ve started to use the word manager instead of leader when it comes to politicians.  A manager is one in a position expected to be a leader.  There is no guarantee that manager will be a leader.  Conversely, a leader is not necessarily a manager, but has the ability to lead people through any issue, problem, project with strength.  For example, President Obama is a manager.  And even though he is now running for political office, ‘Joe the Plumber’ was a leader, who had the strength to ask the candidate Obama a question that drew an answer that opened millions of eyes around the world.  Try it; the RNC and DNC are the party management team; they are not leaders.  You get the idea.

In the language of the Holy Writ, there was a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away. There is a time to fight, and that time is now coming! ~ Reverend Peter Muhlenberg, 1776

We did not ask for this fight, but we will not run from it. ~ Timothy Cardinal Dolan Archbishop of NY, 3/4/12

I saw an article about the issue between the Catholic Church and the government concerning the mandate on supplying contraception.  This story is bigger than the trampling of first amendment rights on Catholics.  It tramples on everyone’s first amendment rights.  It also has the potential to encroach over all of our rights if this is left unchecked.  So the stance being taken by Cardinal Dolan is historic, monumentally historic.  Christians, Jews, Wiccans, Atheists, Agnostics, everyone who has the desire to use the first amendment for religious freedom, from any and all aspects must pay the closest attention to this.  This is not about one faith’s beliefs.  It is about the future of anyone to believe in any faith, doctrine; or even to have the right to believe in no religion.  For, if we lose the freedom of religion, it should be expected that we will also lose the freedom to not believe.  We may even be mandated to believe in one faith, doctrine, religion.  Does Caliphate sound familiar?

Howdy all!  Well, those of us in Washington State had a rare treat.  We got to be like Iowa.  No, not really.  This is the first caucus I’d ever been involved with.  The process we had inside was definitely not the best, but it was the best rookies could do.  Now for enthusiasm, I would rank that as high as Iowa or even higher.  In Benton County alone, we had so many people show up, they weren’t ready for us.  It seemed like there were as many turned away for arriving too late as there was inside.  And the place was packed.  What a great experience.  Even got elected as a delegate alternate.

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord. ~ Psalm 119:1

We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die: Our won country's honor, all call upon us for vigorous and manly exertion, and if we now shamefully fail, we shall become infamous to the whole world. Let us therefore rely upon the goodness of the cause, and the aid of the Supreme Being, in whose hands victory is, to animate and encourage us to great and noble actions. ~ George Washington, 1776

So, I am certain we all know what George was talking about in 1776, having the resolve to conquer or die.  They were going to conquer, or die!  Now this is not 1776.  But we are still called upon for vigorous and manly exertion.  And it is true, that if we fail, we shall become infamous to the entire world.  So, our effort to restore our Constitution, repair the damage to our economy, and work to shrink the size of our obscenely humungous government must continue.  We must rely upon each other; upon the goodness of each other, to strengthen the goodness of the cause.  We need to do this with the joy of people with great integrity, following the instructions and aid given us by our Creator.  My experience at the caucus taught me a great lesson.  It is important to make the best choice to be the next top federally elected employee.  And that puts us all in the position this primary season to choose someone that the next person doesn’t choose.  But when it is all said and done, we must all realize that the goal is: restore the Constitution, reduce the government, eliminate Obamacare, eliminate the onerous regulations strangling our economy, restore the strength of our military so NO ONE dares attack us again without the knowledge that we will eliminate them, and not apologize to them.  Whoever gains the title of GOP candidate for President must know that we will be watching him closer and be more critical of him (or her) than we are of Obama.  We do this in His name, who animates us and encourages us to great and noble actions.

Howdy all!  How is the week going?  Feeling political this week?  Primaries occurred on Tuesday. Wednesday, Wyoming had something go on that wasn’t mentioned much in the news.  Washington has caucus on Saturday.   And it is all leading up to next Tuesday when someone jumps out of a phone booth and flies off to save Miss Polly Purebread.  Ya think?

Any h- look!  Up in the sky!  I mean, Any hoo,..

The Lord is my strength and shield.  I trust him will all my heart.  He helps me and my heart leaps with joy.  I burst out in songs of Thanksgiving. ~ Psalm 28:7

Men of energy of character must have enemies; because there are two sides to every question, and taking one with decision, and acting on it with effect, those who take the other will of course be hostile in proportion as they feel that effect. --Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Adams, 1817

There are always two sides to every question.  And deciding to act upon one side will of course be hostile to those deciding on the other side.  Who does not understand this simplest of principles.  Ever watch 2 children with one squeaky toy between them?  One will always cry because they want it but the other has it.  But it’s always made good by someone like a parent to get the kids off the problem and back on track and happy again.  Sort of like our federally elected employees isn’t it?  They argue, bicker, scream at each other and whine when they don’t get their way.  The unfortunate part is that they would rather stick to their position (that’s MY squeaky toy!) than listen to reason.  I am absolutely certain that I do not know everything.  So I must at least listen to ideas and positions of others before I decide which I want to believe; which stance I want to take.  And if, just if, there is future information that may prove that I am on the wrong side, I’ll listen to that as well.  Yet, I will always have someone who believes differently than me.  I must accept that.  If not these others become my enemy.  Is this not the same with you?

So, what to do?  Well, just look at Psalm 28:7.  The Lord is my strength.  It doesn’t matter which side I take.  I must follow my heart on the path I take.  If I don’t allow Him in my heart; if I don’t trust Him with all my heart, I will inevitably be led astray.  Trust in Him, and I feel so full of joy, because I know He will help me along the way.

Is this not the same with you?

Howdy all!  And Happy Birthday to us all!  Tea Party activities are a fantastic 3 years old!  So much has been accomplished.  Many sited are writing about the successes across the nation.  What successes have you personally accomplished?  I know some went to one of the big rallies.  And some went to their first rally of any kind.  Some even ran for office.  So what experiences have you had these past three years?

While you ponder,..

We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer. ~ Proverbs 16:1

It is now no more that toleration is spoken of as if it were the indulgence of one class of people that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights, for happily, the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens in giving it on all occasions their effectual support. ~ George Washington, letter to the Hebrew Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island, 1790

For me, I’ve had only one political experience (besides voting) up until the tea party and 9/12 groups arose.  And it might not count, since it was attending a Nixon re-election rally on Long Island, NY at the ripe old age of 13.  But, since I gotten involved, I have met and questioned my US congressman.  I have been to a primary election night party at a candidate headquarters (sorry he lost).  I write a daily blog, or whatever you call this ‘be encouraged’ thing which I now send to 5 national web sites.  I’ve written to my congressman, my senators, as well as senators, congressmen and women of other districts in other states.  I’ve donated to election campaigns for the first time.  And just yesterday, I sent a strong message to the state senators of my state, questioning their plans to pass a bill that would be a costly detriment to many homeowners and business people.  And, I received replies from many of them, including the sponsor of the bill in question.  This all from a guy who couldn’t ask the girl he had a crush on to the dance in high school.  Yes, I have changed, as all of you have over these past 3 years.  And, one thing is for sure; I ain’t going back to the way I was.  Never.  I have never been more confident in myself than these past three years.  I thank all of you for that.  I also thank Him, our Lord in heaven for giving me the strength to do what I have been doing.  I did have my own plans for my life.  But He has definitely given me the right answers, the right direction for the remainder of my life.  And as tea party person and 9/12 member, I believe in the words that George Washington said.  Paraphrased, he said it is no longer tolerated that one class of citizens allows another class to exercise their God given rights. Because the US government, which no longer tolerates bigotry or persecution, requires that all citizens act as good citizens, always.  I believe this is one of the enumerated powers that We the People have given Congress.  Unfortunately, the federally elected employees see things far differently than me or George, or you.  This is why we are doing what we are.  This is why we are; who we are.  We are no longer silent.  We are the sleeping giant come awake.  Every effort of the left, the MSM and the establishment to make the tea party, 9/12 and other conservative groups just go away will fail.  Even the latest effort to minimize our strength, to say we have become weak and useless; all a ploy to tell the ostriches everything is alright and they could to stick their heads back in the sand.  IT WON’T WORK!  Not anymore.  We are the strongest 3 year olds this nation has ever seen.  And we will grow stronger day by day.  You will get stronger, day by day.  So, congratulations!  Happy Birthday!  YOU GUYS ROCK!!

Hello my friends and fellow patriots!  Here is an example of state governments going hog wild.  With the problems in the economy, all they can think about is getting rid of woodstoves!  Can you say Agenda 21?  I was going to send this only to WA state groups, but I think it could affect more than WA state citizens overall.  So, if you or someone you know lives in Washington state, forward this to them so they can know what their elected employees are doing for them instead of fixing a bad economy. And if you want to contact them yourselves, here's their web site.   http://www.leg.wa.gov/pages/home.aspx

(Update, just received a message from my State Senator, Delvin, who said the bill in play here is still in the house, and they are trying to stop it.  Great!)

To the members of the Senate Rules Committee, and Mr Delvin, my state Senator, I am extremely opposed to the action before you, to prohibit the use of woodstoves in the state.  Thousands of families across the state use woodstoves for their main source of heat.  In fact, many of them use woodstoves as their ONLY source of heat.  Changes to section (b) which as I understand are, '(b) "Prohibit the use" or "prohibition" may include requiring disclosure, removal, rendering inoperable, providing evidence of destruction, or other similar requirements as may be approved by rule by a local air pollution control authority or other department.'  This is absolutely ludicrous, for starters.  As I said, thousands of homes have woodstoves.  Many have more than one.  The cost just to implement section (b) per house hold will be extraordinary.  Multiply that by the thousands of affected homes.  We're talking millions of dollars just to disable the woodstoves!  Then, the cost of installing a new source of heat, such as a heat pump or central heating will also be in the thousands per household.  Another few millions of dollars you will force taxpaying voters to spend money that they do not have presently.  THEN, once the obvious electrical system is installed, the cost of running the new system will also be exorbitant.  To be conservative, each month the new system will add approximately one to two hundred dollars to the electric bill.  $100-200 per month, times 4-5 months?  That will be anywhere from 400 to1000 dollars extra each winter that these households will have to pay to keep their homes warm.  So, you are planning to force Washington State, taxpaying, voting households to pay anywhere from 3 to 10 thousand dollars to replace their woodstoves, and from then on pay up to 1 thousand dollars more for electric heat per season.  Why?

Now, what about the businesses that will be affected?  I don't know how many fireplace businesses are located in Washington state, so let's be conservative again, and say 100 across the state.  If each one sells 10 fireplaces a year, at 1500 to 5000 dollars a piece, you are looking to prevent 100 businesses from selling 15 to 50 thousand dollars worth of product.  Again, multiply that figure by the number of businesses, you come up with 1.5 to 5 million dollars worth of small business sales.  And that's just the stoves themselves.  That doesn't include the smaller items such as bellows ($25-50 ea), wood racks ($10-30 ea), decorative mantle items ($20 up) Stove tool kits - poker, shovel, brush, etc. ($15-200 ea).  And fireplaces?  Chimney sweeps, cleaning devices, etc. can also reach in the tens of thousands of dollars of lost business as well!  You have the makings of destroying a business that has been in this state for a very long time that has potential sales of over 10 million dollars annually!  WHY????

So, you all are the elected employees sent to Olympia to do our business.  What is the most important issue our state and our nation faces today?  It sure isn't woodstoves!  It's the economy, right!  So, how can you look your constituents, your BOSSES in the face and say with a happy grin that you destroyed a business worth 1.5 to 5 million dollars, and forced your employers to spend 3 to 10 thousand dollars each to conform to your new rule, or freeze in the winter?  How can you do this and expect to have any future in politics?  Those in the house may have gotten this one over on us by not promoting the ability to provide testimony and discussion before they voted.  They did that at their political peril.  I recommend you think twice before we decide your political peril in November.

Sincerely,

Tom Kiley

Howdy all!  Another week begins.  Another round of presidential primaries and caucuses await us.  I am getting ready for the Washington Caucus on Saturday with everything a new PCO could need; a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream and a glass of homemade iced tea.  Ah, the luxuries of politics.

We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. ~ Psalm 33:20

It is particularly pleasing to me to be able to announce to you, that the revenues which have been established, promise to be adequate to their objects, and may be permitted, if no unforeseen exigency occurs, to supercede, for the present, the necessity of any new burthens upon our Constituents. ~ George Washington, Third Annual Message to the House of Representatives

Has anyone alive ever heard the President of the United States say these words to anyone, let alone Congress?  ‘I am happy to say we have enough money to pay the bills.  So unless something bad happens, we don’t need anymore!!’  I WISH!!  Yet this is exactly what Washington said to Congress.  The usual State of the Union goes like this; our country is strong, except here, where we need more of something so we need to collect more money.  And we have more of a need over there, so here is my plan to collect even more money.  And thanks to the poor soul we sweet talked into sitting by the first lady so we could put them on the spot, as we ask for even more money.’  Oh yeah, can’t forget, ‘And our biggest salute to the fine brave men and women of our armed forces.  It’s because of their sacrifices that we are a stronger and safer nation, which will allow us to spend less on defense again this year.’  Once, just once I’d like to hear the top federally elected employee say we don’t need any more money this year.  I could put my hope into a man or woman like that.  Fortunately, there is someone I can put all of my hope and faith into.  And He IS our help and our shield.  We should all look to Him for guidance as we go to the primary polls and caucuses, looking for that next person to speak to Congress as Washington did.

Howdy all!  Another Sunday coming with the pundits claiming they have the big story of the day.  You know, one of the GOP candidates will make a gaffe, or throw a stone at another one, and they got it on tape!  Oh so clever those journalists (sic) are.  I can’t wait to hear those great questions.  You know, “How many chocolates did you really eat at that candy shoppe in New Hampshire?”; or this one is a good one, “How many of the letter ‘I’ are really in Mississippi?”

Any hoo,..

I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. ~ Psalm 130:5

Bearing this in mind, and seeing that sectionalism has since arisen upon this same subject, is that warning a weapon in your hands against us, or in our hands against you?  Could Washington himself speak, would he cast the blame of that sectionalism upon us, who sustain his policy, or upon you who repudiate it?  We respect that warning of Washington, and we commend it to you, together with his example pointing to the right application of it.  But you say you are conservative – eminently conservative – while we are revolutionary, destructive, or something of the sort.  What is conservatism?  Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried?  We stick to, contend for, the identical old policy on the point in controversy which was adopted by our fathers who framed the Government under which we live; while you with one accord reject, and scout, and spit upon that old policy, and insist upon substituting something new.  Abraham Lincoln, Speech at New Haven Connecticut, March 6, 1860.

Ok, I had a little fun with pundits (or is that pun with fundits).  But when you read the quote from Lincoln you can see how eerily similar it is to today’s problems not only between democrats and republicans, but more closely to establishment republicans and conservatives like tea parties and 9/12 groups.  The conservative groups like the tea parties want to remain close to the structure laid down by the founders, yet the establishment wants to play by their own rules, which they seemingly find more lucrative.  And the democrats want the entire GOP structure to collapse, so they can do what they want with no interference.  This is not what the founding fathers envisioned.  Or is it?  Did they see political party infighting?  Absolutely they did!  They had it themselves.  So why wouldn’t it happen with their descendants?  And as in Lincoln’s speech, there was tremendous infighting then; over slavery.  Today, we have been experiencing the infighting and cross party fighting for a long time now.  And it’s over slavery – slavery of American citizens by the government.  We are forced to work hard for our pay.  But a major portion goes to the government.  The more we work, the more we make, and the more we have to give to the government.  And the present federally elected employee in charge keeps trying to find ways to take more.  It gets more ridiculous every day.

So, what to do?  Well, we know by the writings of our founders that there was divine intervention during the development of our nation.  We know that throughout our nations’ history, we have been guided by His hand.  So, why should we look anywhere else for support?  We all have rights and responsibilities as citizens of America.  These rights have been given to us by our Creator, as so eloquently stated in the Declaration of Independence.  So, we must work together, with the establishment and the conservatives.  We need to focus on what the nations was founded on, and how.  We must count on Him.  We must put our hope in His word to save our nation.  And, since the Lord helps those who help themselves, we must take on the hard part.  Be involved, be vocal.  Do not be violent, but do not be silent.  Our nation does not belong to any one individual or group.  It belongs equally to us all; everyone, of every color, every creed, every increment of society, every section of every city, town, suburb, and rural free district. The tea party movement does not want to take over the nation.  We do not want to overthrow any part of any government entity.  What the tea party wants is to return the government structure back to what the founders designed, developed and passed down to us all.  Equal rights, equal justice, and equal freedom for all.  Martin Luther King summed it up the best, when he dreamed that one day his four little children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.  Exceptional words from an exceptional man.  These great, simple words of wisdom were spoken for his children.  Yet, they speak out to us all every day.  They speak to republicans, democrats, conservatives, liberals, libertarians, progressives, independents, OWS, Tea Party, EVERYONE!  Can we all just get it right?

Howdy all!  I hope the work week went well for you.  Good weather?  We had good weather here all week.  Unfortunately, the weekend is now here, and so is the weird weather.  Wind is expected to be 40-50 mph with gusts as high as 75.  Can’t wait to go looking for our cars in the morning.

Any hoo,..

Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. ~ Psalm 25:5

I consider the government of the United States as interdicted by the constitution from intermeddling with religious institutions, their doctrines, discipline, or exercises. This results not only from the provision that no law shall be made respecting the establishment or free exercise of religion, but from that also which reserves to the States the powers not delegated to the United States.  Certainly, no power to prescribe any religious exercise or to assume authority in any religious discipline has been delegated to the general government.  It must then rest with the States." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Samuel Miller, 1808

When I read the quote from Jefferson, I think of the issue brought up by the Bobama administration.  When I hear the arguments against the contraception mandate, I hear this quote.  There is no interpretation required.  Interdicted = BANNED, PROHIBITED, FORBIDDEN; by the 1st amendment.  Jefferson gave only that the states would have the powers from the 10th amendment.  So, why is the entire lot of federally elected employees even talking about mandates to Christian employers, or giving exemptions and easing of burdens to the Islamic faith, or any restrictions or exemptions to any religion??  The first amendment prevents it and the tenth affords it only to the states, who also have to live by the Constitution!  I don’t know.  Maybe someone needs to erect a billboard that shows the number of probable violations of the Constitution.  The severity doesn’t matter anymore.  What is now important is quantity over quality.   “How many violations this day Bob?”  “Don’t know Ed, let’s look at the tote board and find out!  Drum roll please!”

Give me a break.  Help me help us all.  Vote the idiots out; all of them!  They are all guilty by their involvement or by their complicity.  Let’s find someone in our neighborhoods that we can put our hope into.  We are led by the truth and teachings of Him.  Therefore we should have the ability to find the one we can depend on.  But you must do your homework.  Don’t get caught up in the old ‘gotta vote the party line’ gimmick.  Boehner and McConnell need to.  Cantor, Alexander, Collins, Snowe; gone.  Maybe not this time around for the Senators, but their time will come.  And they can be removed from their positions of leadership.  Wait, correct that word to management.  People can be placed in a management position and not be able to lead worth a hill of beans.  But leaders lead from wherever they are in the team.  Management is a position.  Leadership is a skill, a trait, a quality.  So, when any politician speaks of the party leadership, try not to laugh.  Correct them.  It’s the party management.  Most won’t know what the heck you’re talking about.  Those who do, well, let’s hope they get the message.

Howdy all!  The weekend cometh! So what does your weather forecaster say?  Time to go out and clean up lawn from the winter droppings?  Or are you expecting to have a little more winter, keeping you inside and warm with a hot chocolate and some graham crackers?  Whichever is in your forecast, enjoy the heck out of it!

Any hoo,..

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. ~ Psalm 62:2

If we move in mass, be it ever so circuitously, we shall attain our object; but if we break into squads, everyone pursuing the path he thinks most direct, we become an easy conquest to those who can now barely hold us in check. ~ Thomas Jefferson, letter to William Duane, 1811

Ok, so we are not scheduled to suffer any more debates for now.  Thank goodness!  They have all become boring and rote.  I even suspect that CNN put that contraception question in on purpose, just to liven up the crowd.  But I digress.  The purpose of these debates are to get you to vote for ‘the one’ candidate that speaks to you the best.  I can’t tell you who that is.  But I can tell you, just as Psalm 62:2 tells you, and Jefferson tells you; we must choose the one who can restore our nation, restore our Constitution, restore our economy, restore our faith in government, restore the world’s trust in America.  Lots of restoration, isn’t it?  Will it happen in the next 4 years?  Probably not.  But there may be no more hope if restoration isn’t started in January.  It ought to have started about 10 years ago, maybe even 50.  But we are here now.  It has to start now.  Now, our present lot of federally elected employees are muddled in a self-imposed quandary.  They all want change. They all want to make it ‘better’.  But they are not all willing to work together to get it right.  Doesn’t matter which letter of the alphabet follows their name and title.  And that’s actually a good thing. Huh?  Good thing?  Yup, good thing.  Just remember three little words, ‘We The People’.  The country does not belong to 545 goobers in a corrupt little city.  It belongs to all 330 million or so Americans.  It is up to We the People to decide who will lead us to restoration, to greatness again.  It will be upon the rock we select that our nation will survive on, or wither on the vine with.  It will be up to us to choose the rock of strength to restore our foundation, or the rock of stupidity that gets thrown through the window of the faltering and condemned house.

So, what to do?  We can go off spouting out about our favorite flavor of a candidate, while castigating the others, or we can talk about our choice and even dare I say, listen to others about their choice.  Then decide with full knowledge and faith that who we choose is really the best for our nation.  But we cannot be self-dividing.  We cannot step on each other’s toes on the way up.  We may miss the foot, and step instead on the nail protruding from the floorboard nearby.  There is a video out showing a few guys yanking Santorum signs from in front of a location where Romney was due to speak.  They then placed Romney signs in their place.  Why?  Isn’t there a federal law against that (yes!) ?  But they don’t care.  Would you be upset at an SEIU thug yanking a republican sign?  Then you should be just as upset at anyone removing any political sign, for any reason.  Because there is no good reason for any of that.

We can root for whoever we want; volunteer for anyone we want; vote for anyone we want.  But we must stick together on the issue of restoring our constitution, our economy, and our nation’s place as the city on the hill.  Or else, we become an easy conquest to those who can now barely hold us in check.

Lastly, a prayer request.  Two shooting incidents occurred in the past day or so, in the area I used to live.  The Washington State Trooper shot and killed in the Port Orchard area, (shooter killed himself as well), and an 8 year old girl shot in class in Bremerton.  Please pray for those families that are suffering this day.  May the grace of God give them some peace.

Take care and God bless,

Tom Kiley

Howdy all!  Did you catch the latest debate?  Nice setting, wasn’t it?  Chairs, tables, even pads of paper!!  And CN was nice enough on the internet to show some questions from twitter.  One asked if they would show what the candidates wrote on the paper.  Can you imagine all the doodling and nasty caricatures drawn?  Imagine how Romney draws Paul, or Gingrich!  That’s a funny thought!!

Oh yeah; serious now.  Any hoo,..  (hehe)..

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. ~ Psalm 39:7

I did watch most of the debate on CNN.com.  To be honest, I was not impressed, although the attitudes are now more consistent with what we have seen.  Newt did another good job as the great debater.  Dr. Paul once again showed that he is; well to be nice, he is a good congressman.  Romney did his best imitation of that 9 year old who points the finger at anyone as soon as the spotlight pans across his brow.  And Santorum kind of smiled every time they brought up his history in the Senate.  The good thing is that they all had at least one instance of agreeing with at least one other on the stage.  So maybe they are learning.

So, what are we to take from this debate?  That’s for you to decide.  It is not expected that any one debate will be the breakout event.  Definitely not this one.  It will take the rest of the year to get a new president.  So, as advised from Psalm 39:7, we must be patient.  This nation was founded by great men and women, guided by God.  So what we do will be watched very closely by Him.  He will guide us, but will not take our freedom of choice away by choosing for us.  It will be up to us.  ALL OF US.  So don’t be too anxious for the victory.  Election Day will be here soon enough.  Be on the alert for craziness, and stupidity.  Continue to be vigilant of all the bad decisions made by the federally elected employees, and hold their feet to the fire.  But be patient.  The present administration is in such a mess, I received an email that spoke of an actual request for actors to work at helping Obama get re-elected; anywhere from 11 to 16 dollars an hour.  Look it up on craig’s list.  Our efforts across the country are working.  Don’t be nervous or anxious.  Stay the course.  Wait quietly before God, for our victory comes from Him, not from someone desperate enough to buy a rally crowd.

Howdy all!  Getting interesting around the compound.  Friends living with us for a while, and now they have guests of their own coming to visit.  It was weird to answer the door and someone ask for them instead of us.  That was a bit weird.  Scooters running around the house, bionic dogs, cooking Kale chips, and what the heck is that smell??

And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. ~ Psalm 39:7

No pecuniary consideration is more urgent, than the regular redemption and discharge of the public debt: on none can delay be more injurious, or an economy of time more valuable. ~ George Washington, Message to the House of Representatives, 1793

If you read today’s entries carefully, you will hear what we should be looking for in our next president.  Yes it is very true that our only hope is in Him.  But it is also true that He is here for us; to help us, guide us, and strengthen us.  We also want to know where to put our hope in our nation’s future.  At present, there are four individuals remaining in the race for the republican presidential nominee.  And I am sure there are at least that many silently waiting in the wings for a last minute chance during a brokered convention.  So, who?  Just listen to George.  Whoever we choose for the GOP must make it his or her most urgent task to redeem and discharge the public debt.  Nothing else, including a strong national defense can survive without an economy that is allowed to thrive.  So, 4 are left, and more in the wings.  They all want the oval office.  So we need to remember what we want.  And we need to convey to the 4 what we want in OUR oval office.

So, vet them all out.  If anyone comes to your area, go see them.  Listen to the message, and determine if that is what you want.  Then get to the primary, go to caucus, be counted.  Or watch from the comfortable confines of the sand you stick you head into.  May be harsh, but we cannot afford to let this slip away anymore.

Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. ~ 1 Timothy 2:2

The bosom of America is open to receive not only the opulent and respectable stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all nations and religions; whom we shall welcome to a participation of all our rights and privileges, if by decency and propriety of conduct they appear to merit the enjoyment.      ~ George Washington, Address to the Members of the Volunteer Association of Ireland, 1783

Today’s message will be short.  The theme lately has been legal immigration with lawful acceptance and obedience of our rules and regulations.  George reminds us that the introduction of new neighbors is not limited to those who have everything they need and more.  Those who come with merely a shirt, shoes and a dream are welcome also.  Of course the legal enforcement of the rules and regulations must be true and consistent; otherwise there will be gleeful lawlessness.  And, unfortunately, that is exactly what we have been experiencing, especially at the southern border.  I suspect it is also true to the north, although it isn’t spoken of as much.  In Timothy, we are asked to pray for our leaders.  We should.  We may not like them, or approve of their behavior (even if this is an understatement).  But we need to maintain a prayerful vigilance not only over our federally elected employees, but for them as well.  Sometimes they actually do something right, (just don’t ask for any recent examples).  Let us also pray for the new neighbors, that they will follow the laws of our land, including the first one they need to follow regarding legal entry.

Howdy all!  Here comes another week.  What will it bring?  More scandal?  Intrigue?  Comedy?  Drama of course.  I guess that is up to us all.  That is, of course unless you are the first lady.  Then you can take a trip to Aspen for skiing, right after the trip to Hawaii.  Gee, it sure is amazing that the first family can be so adamant about robbing, er, I mean redistributing from the rich, er, I mean anyone and giving it to the poor, er, I mean their friends, and still have time to whisk away to the Rockies for some very extensive bling-letting to recover from all that socialism.

Shout to the LORD, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! ~ Psalm 98:4

Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular. --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801

Do you thank your Creator?  Do you pray to Him for thanks?  And if (I hope when) you do, do you thank Him for America?  I do every night.  I thank Him for bringing our founders together at the same time and same place to leave a legacy that is matched by none this earth has ever known.  And it’s OURS!  Best of all, we wish to share it with others.  And that is where people divide.  Most Americans want to share this land with those who are willing to contribute, as mentioned in yesterday’s message.  And, we want those we share with to follow the rules.  As Jefferson puts it, “your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules.”  In other words, he says that it is a foregone conclusion that those who wish to join us WANT to follow the rules, the laws.  And We the People have recognized and accepted this foregone conclusion for the last 235 years in accepting new neighbors.  So why is it so hard for our present administration and pile of, er, federally elected employees to enforce, upon the new neighbors, the requirement to conform to established rules?  It is not a terrible thing for any single person or entity to expect all those within the confines of our borders to follow the laws and rules established by good intentioned legislative bodies.  Everyone within our borders is expected to follow the laws, or expect to pay the consequences if they don’t.

So, many of our elected employees would rather turn a blind eye.  Some don’t, but many do.  Maybe it’s your representative, or Senator.   What do you do?  The easiest thing is to vote against them, and convince your friends and neighbors to vote against them as well; in the primaries, and general elections.  You don’t have a primary?  Then go to caucus.  Local elections?  Get involved.  BE A CANDIDATE YOURSELF!  I love this country, and my neighborhood.  So I became a precinct commission officer; PCO.  I pray every night, thanking God for my family, friends and country.  But if I just pray, and don’t do what I can to preserve, protect and defend, then I am not living up to the promise of my prayers.  So, what will you do?
