With reports that the U.S. and other major powers of U.N. Security Council are quietly considering ending sanctions on Iran if a nuclear deal is struck, the one-upmanship battle between White House and Congress over the shape of any agreement with Tehran has reached new heights of confrontation. The move, the administration’s latest effort to by-pass Congress’s ability to undo a deal the president badly wants, has raised Republican hackles.
“I’m embarrassed for them. For them to address a letter to the Ayatollah, who they claim is our mortal enemy, and their basic argument to them is don’t deal with our president because you can’t trust him to follow through on an agreement, that’s close to unprecedented.” – President nObama in an interview with Vice. -Fox News
President nObama, who left the White House Thursday bound for the West Coast well after the news broke that two Ferguson, Mo., police officers had been shot and well before the evening news cycle, spoke his first words about the shooting in a taped interview on the late night comedy talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live”. Fox News: “nObama condemned the shooting… saying that though the city’s law enforcement practices were ‘oppressive and objectionable’, there was ‘no excuse’ for violence. … ‘Whoever fired those shots should not detract from the issue -- they are criminals, they need to be arrested,’ nObama said… Earlier Thursday, nObama had tweeted about the shooting, calling it ‘unacceptable.’” -Fox News

(jewishworldreview.com) - Within moments of the announcement of the exit polls, some of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's critics were claiming his win in Tuesday's Knesset election was the result of a crude, racist appeal to voters.
The justification for this charge was a speech made by Netanyahu and released only on social media because of restrictions on campaign appeals in the media, telling the country that left-wing groups funded by foreign money were busing Arab voters to the polls in order to elect a left-wing government led by his Zionist Union rival Isaac Herzog.
Netanyahu's opponents interpreted this as an appeal to racism. The statement was unfortunate because it made it seem as if the prime minister viewed Arab voters as somehow illegitimate. But the voters likely saw it in a different light.
The prospect of a left-wing government that depended on the Joint Arab List was always unlikely. But a critical mass of voters viewed the prospect with alarm not because they're racists but because a government that relied on the votes of anti-Zionists that favor Israel's dissolution was something they considered a danger to the future of their country.
Despite the expectation that dissatisfaction Netanyahu would lead to the end of his career, Netanyahu appears to have survived and will likely surpass David Ben Gurion as the country's longest serving prime minister.
Only a few days ago this was considered unlikely because the polls showed Herzog's Labor-led party with a solid four-seat lead. But just as Netanyahu's numbers were depressed in 2009 and 2013 because of the widespread belief that he couldn't lose, the belief that he was finished had the opposite effect. A significant number of voters who might have gone for other right-wing parties such as Naphtali Bennet's Jewish Home, went back to Likud in the final days in order to prevent a victory for the left.
But what those venturing opinions about the election must understand is that despite the hopes of the Israeli left and its foreign supporters (including one particular fan in the White House), the basic political alignment of the country remained unchanged.
Contrary to the implications of Netanyahu's statement, the increased turnout of Arab voters is a good thing for the country. Israeli Arabs should be invested in their country and take advantage of its democratic system. But the small gains by the Joint Arab List — which seems to have won 13 seats over the 11 won by the elements of its coalition, previously — won't make much of a difference because the new Knesset members will remain in the minority. It is also a near certainty that the three factions will split once the dust settles from the election.
Even some of Israel's friends in the United States may be asking themselves how is it possible for the Jewish state's voters to give a majority to parties that are unlikely to agree to a two-state solution with the Palestinians. The answer is that unlike most Americans, Israel's voters have been paying attention to the history of the conflict over the past 20 years and know that Herzog was no more likely to create a Palestinian state than Netanyahu.
Nor is it fair to brand Netanyahu, who did not denigrate the right of Arabs to vote, a racist.
There is no comparison between the efforts of minorities to vote in Western democracies or the United States and the desire of the Arab parties to destroy Israel. That's because the Palestinian leadership, split between Hamas and Fatah, has consistently refused peace offers that would have given them independence.
Most Israelis would like a two-state solution to happen but they know that under the current circumstances any withdrawal from the West Bank might duplicate the disastrous retreat from Gaza in 2005. Though Western journalists mocked Netanyahu's comments about wanting to prevent a "Hamasistan" in the West Bank, the voters in Israel largely agreed.
That doesn't make them racist or extreme. It means they are, like most Americans, realists. They may not like Netanyahu but Tuesday's results demonstrates that there is little support for a government that would make the sort of concessions to the Palestinians that President nObama would like. They rightly believe that even if Israel did make more concessions it would only lead to more violence, not peace.
Israel's foreign critics and friends need to understand that in the end, it was those convictions have, for all intents and purposes, re-elected Netanyahu.

Fellow Americans the question is; who is worst the criminals sycophants that are in control of our government and demise our constitution our God given natural rights and freedom, or we the people that know the actors, their criminal activities and betrayal and do nothing to prosecute and hold them accountable for their crimes?
Fellow Americans, be part of the solution and fight for your future and the future of our country, our real enemy is us, when we decide to do nothing. We all want to be happy and live in peace; but greed fill our heart thinking that money will make us happy, but true happiness comes from serving each other, no from money or power; the love of money it is our sin and will destroy us. We must learn from our History and eradicate the evil.
What could have possibly impelled Democratic frontrunner Hilly Clinton to deliver a paid speech to Silicon Valley executives this week? The event was unannounced and closed to reporters and came just one day after her testy standoff with press over her decision to destroy tens of thousands of emails from her time as Secretary of State. Who would make a cash dash in the midst of bungling the response to a foreseeable scandal that has supporters questioning their judgment? It couldn’t really be greed that would drive a woman so wealthy to take such a risk in ducking reporters, especially to do the kind of buck raking that has already damaged her image. So it must be that Clinton doesn’t understand the extremity of her situation.
In politics, professionals complain about “undisciplined” candidates. Those folks generally fall into one of two categories: The train wrecks who know what they’re supposed to do, but lack the self-control to do it or those who can’t or won’t see what’s going on. It would seem that Clinton is the latter. She doesn’t “get it.” Some combination of bubble-wrapped obliviousness and willful ignorance seems to be keeping her from doing what it takes to win.
Nobody sees that more clearly than the members of Team nObama, who, aside from helping to deliver a drip-drip-drip of steadily negative news about the actual facts of Clinton’s email scandal, are currently giving Clinton the Coakley treatment. That got crystal clear on Thursday with a blind-quote bonanza in Politico, the spirit of which is reflected here: “The Democratic nomination is all but hers, the Republican field still looking weak to them, and they’re counting on her. And now? To sum up the feelings, all the way up to the highest levels: What. The. Hell.” The tone here is one of concern, but also of building an, er, firewall against future foibles: “They’re just hoping that this email server – ‘the president 100 percent would not have done it this way,’ the former aide said, ‘this is such a clearly nontransparent way of going about it’ – is the extent of the latitude she took that they didn’t know about.”
There are only a few weeks left for Democrats to decide whether or not to try to topple Clinton, and it seems highly unlikely that anyone with enough clout would make the leap in time. But as we watch nObamaland start to quarantine Clinton, lest an outbreak spread to the president’s legacy project, the possibility of a real primary gets more real.
It is certainly true that President nObama has a great deal invested in having a Democratic successor, especially since he is using executive authority to keep a wobbly agenda in place. And it is also true that Clinton represents the most likely path to that objective. But, the nObamanauts hold themselves in such high esteem and take such a low view of Clintonian politics that it wouldn’t take much more to tip the whole thing over. In the Politico piece, the White House crew speaks in disappointment, not anger, saying they thought Clinton had changed. And what did she need to change from? Consider this gem: “‘You never feel like you’re quite getting the full story, because everyone’s got some side deal or some complicating factor,’ said one former nObama aide, reflecting on dealing with Clinton and her circle. ‘I don’t think there was a conscious effort to watch out for scams. It was more just, you know who you’re dealing with.’” Sounds marvelous… -Fox News

Do they understand that he admitted not having the constitutional authority to do this? Do they understand that Congress considered and rejected such action when it declined to pass the DREAM Act? One glaring example was the cowardly behavior of the so-called Tea Party favorite Congressman Republican Mike Kelly of the Pennsylvania 3rd district:
Our research on Malik nObama in which Congressman Kelly requested to review directly from us, but never followed through. Hilly Clinton and her husband have and always had a rule for us little people, but have another rule for how they conduct themselves. The media at this moment focus on the silence of the Clintons and lack of criticism of countries who are very weak on human rights including women’s rights, coincidently these countries all give millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation. What the media is not focusing on, which is a much bigger story is the Muslim brotherhood connection of Hilly Clinton which has compromised the security of the United States. The Muslim Brotherhood is the foundation of all Islamic terror groups including Al Qaeda and ISIS yet the Clintons and President nObama launched the war against Libya to give the Islamists power in that country, as well as to undermine our ally Mubarak and now El Sisi in Egypt which has alienated one of our best Arab allies in the region.
Further we at shoebat.com were the first to uncover nObama’s attempt to undermine Bashar Assad and frame him for a chemical attack which was actually carried out by the rebels, our research was confirmed as accurate by Yosef Bodansky a leading conservative security expert, as well as the left-wing journalist and Pulitzer prize winner Seymor Hersh. nObama along with Hanoi John Kerry knowingly made false accusations to bring the United States into a war that would put US servicemen at risk, all this was based on lies. Clinton, nObama and Hanoi Kerry all could be seen as acting as traitors yet the left-wing media particularly the New York Daily News accuse 47 courageous GOP senators of being Traitors. The letter that was sent by Ted Cotton and his fellow 46 colleagues of the US Senate to the Mullahs was just to explain our constitution to them, so that when nObama acts as the King of America making a treaty without the consent of the people’s representatives of each State i.e the Senate it cannot be honored based on our constitutional laws. Like the left always do, is they project their own guilt on to the innocent. Then we have the soft fascism that has now taken over our whole federal government. The FCC pass a rule to take over the internet, Why? simple, to control free speech. The EPA another out of control agency has done its utmost to stifle oil and coal exploration and punishes people and businesses with regulations that circumvent Congressional laws. It seems Congress has usurped its obligation to set laws and by default has allowed the EPA and the Energy department to regulate people out of business, with regulations and rules that are all unconstitutional interference on the rights of WE The People.
We have experienced the intrusion of our rights in health care which has been a disaster, as well as now the new Common Core education program. One can argue the benefits of the new Education program called Common Core, but I do not care whether it is a good plan or a bad plan, the Federal government has no business in the education of my kids and each individual state should be responsible for their citizens to have access to education. In fact, if our country is to return to a federal system that worked fine for the first hundred years of the Republic then the EPA, the Energy Department, the Health and Social Services Department, the Department of Education should be completely abolished just to start. These departments are responsible for a soft tyranny stiffing our economic growth as well as the freedom of our citizenry. Over the last 50 years we have created a monster, which not only has led to our freedom being impaired, but has also contributed to trillions of dollars in debt, both in the cost of running these bureaucracies, and the loss of major economic growth caused by onerous business killing regulations.
Our federal government has become the tyranny the founding fathers warned us against, the states need to demand a constitutional convention to take back our freedom by removing the yoke of the various federal government bureaucracies. Until this is done, corruption, fascism will be the order of the day.
The American people has to decide urgently whether we are a nation of free individuals or are we to become dependent on our government for help for our every need.

[Obama Vows Retaliation Over Bibi’s Campaign
Rhetoric](http://patriotpost.us/posts/33997)
There will be consequences for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s heightened national security platform days before the Israeli elections – the Obama administration will make sure of that. Before the Israeli election Tuesday, Netanyahu said he opposed a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine – even though the United States has made that its foreign policy goal for years. Granted, the deterioration in the Middle East has influenced Netanyahu’s campaign platform. For example, there’s the campaign ad featuring ISIL fighters, making the case that only Bibi could prevent the terrorist group from marching upon Jerusalem. But the Obama administration is none too pleased with Netanyahu’s focus on security or his re-election win. Unprompted, Obama’s spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters, “We’ve talked a lot about how our shared values are an important part of what binds our two countries together, and rhetoric that seeks to marginalize one segment of their population is deeply concerning and it is divisive. And I can tell you that these are views that the administration intends to communicate directly to the Israelis.” Not only that, but Barack Obama could very well take his power to the United Nations and lift America’s longtime protection of Israel, in essence injecting more chaos into the pursuit of peace. [Left Floats New Idea: Mandatory
Voting](http://patriotpost.us/posts/33999)
Barack Obama told a civic group in Cleveland, Ohio, that it would be “fun” for the United States to amend the Constitution to force everyone in America to vote in elections. Hey, it would solve all the ills the Left touts come election time about dark campaign money, the lack of civic interest, etc. “It would be transformative if everybody voted,” Obama said. “That would counteract [campaign] money more than anything. If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country.” Obama’s comments come at a time when there is historically low civic knowledge and engagement, and citizens are abandoning their trust in the federal government. But mandatory voting would not help boost meaningful civic engagement. Elections would – even more than they already do – boil down to a popularity contest for who gives the most goodies. More…
[Barbara Bush Now Touting Jeb for
President](http://patriotpost.us/posts/33980)
“We’ve had enough Bushes,” said no less than Barbara Bush, the family matriarch, when asked in 2013 if son Jeb should run for president. She was right then, but she’s recently changed her tune. “When the idea of Jeb running for President first came up, I was hesitant,” Mrs. Bush wrote in a letter to supporters. “You may have heard about that. When you see the pounding candidates, their spouses, and even their children take, what mother wouldn’t be? But our problems are so profound that America needs a leader who can renew the promise of this great nation.” Indeed, but there are more than 300 million Americans without the surname “Bush,” and several qualified Republicans are ready to join the presidential field. But never mind that, she says: “Jeb is our best chance of taking back the White House in 2016, and I hope that you will join me in pushing him to run.” It certainly does appear he’s running, but, again, “We’ve had enough Bushes.”
[How Is Boehner’s Medicare Plan
Reform?](http://patriotpost.us/posts/33982)
Considering how House Speaker John Boehner negotiates with Democrats, it’s a wonder he attained his position as leader over a Republican House. Congress needs to fix Medicare by March 31 because that’s the deadline to prevent doctors from receiving a 21% cut in Medicare reimbursements. Boehner’s plan is to increase Medicare spending by $200 billion – y'know, in an effort to reform entitlement spending. But not to worry, he says, because that will lead to savings, oh, in about 10 years. In Boehner’s “negotiations,” Democrats are getting nearly all their demands, and the Republican caucus is advancing by baby steps. Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS)said, “I find it very disagreeable that somehow a fix means we just add it to the debt. That’s the fix? That’s not a fix. That’s the same old Washington way of doing things that’s been going on under both parties for decades now. I don’t think that it works with any conservative principles that I hold.” Such a plan shows there’s a disconnect between Boehner’s Potomac-steeped leadership and the fresh conservative lawmakers willing to actually uphold conservative values.More…
[Administration Sets New Record Censoring
FOIAs](http://patriotpost.us/posts/33979)
Earlier this week, the White House made it official U.S. policy to exempt the Office of Administration from FOIA requests. During Tuesday’s press briefing, Obama spokesman Josh Earnest rejected critics by insisting the decision doesn’t tarnish the administration’s claim of representing the most open governing body ever known to mankind. The procedural change, he explained, “has no bearing on the Office of Administration and the role that they do play in ensuring that the administration is the Most Transparent Administration in History™.” Then how do they explain this? The AP reports, “The Obama administration set a new record again for more often than ever censoring government files or outright denying access to them last year under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press. The government took longer to turn over files when it provided any, said more regularly that it couldn’t find documents, and refused a record number of times to turn over files quickly that might be especially newsworthy. It also acknowledged in nearly 1 in 3 cases that its initial decisions to withhold or censor records were improper under the law – but only when it was challenged.” Substitute “transparent” for “opaque” and Earnest would be right. And just imagine what a Hillary Clinton presidency would look like. More…

[Scott Walker and the Children of the
Corn](http://patriotpost.us/articles/34000)

Only two days ago, the Scott Walker campaign – which is now just a political action committee called Our American Revival – announced it had hired Liz Mair as communications consultant. And then Walker encountered a strange beast known as the “Iowa Republican.”
On paper, hiring Mair looked like a killer choice. She’s a seasoned Republican operative who hascampaign experience with the likes of Sen. Rand Paul and Gov. Rick Perry.
But Mair’s tenure on the Walker campaign lasted mere hours before the Democrat political machine exploited a weakness in the presidential primary process and doomed Mair’s collaboration with Walker. It dug up tweets Mair posted back in January and showed them to The Des Moines Register.
“In other news, I see Iowa is once again embarrassing itself, and the GOP, this morning. Thanks, guys,” Mair tweeted Jan. 24. A minute later, she followed up with, “The sooner we remove Iowa’s frontrunning [sic] status, the better off American politics and policy will be.”
Oh boy, when those comments hit the Iowa newsstands, the corn started popping.
Jeff Kaufmann, the GOP chair for Iowa, called Mair’s comments “juvenile” and “ignorant.”
At least Mair wasn’t caught operating a home-cooked email server.
It could have been a tit-for-tat moment, a mere speed bump for the Walker campaign thrown down by Democrat opposition researchers. But next year’s Iowa caucus is a corn-fattened, political sacred cow. And Mair went cow tipping.
For politicians on both sides of the aisle, the path to the presidency begins in the Hawkeye State – not because of any state or federal law, and not because it’s inherently strategically advantageous. A few decades ago, both political parties decided they would kick off their presidential primary races in Iowa. It’s been done that way every presidential election since, and, thus, the political parties birthed a state among states.
Political analyst Jonah Goldberg wrote in 2012, “The real problem with the Iowa caucuses is simply that they confer too much entrenched arbitrary power on one state in perpetuity. For instance, without the Iowa caucuses we would never have wasted billions of dollars on environmentally damaging and economically wasteful ethanol subsidies.”
Naturally, the Iowa political machine likes how candidates make pilgrimages to Iowa to give offerings on the altar of ethanol. It gives candidates a reason for stopping in flyover country.
This is the exact kind of setup the Founders tried to avoid when they instituted the bicameral system in the legislature: states were given both proportional and equal representation. Because Iowa is now always the first state to decide on candidates, Iowa wields outsized influence in presidential contests.
And influence Walker’s campaign it did. Upon hearing the news that Walker’s newest hire once dissed the state, Iowa Republican leaders acted like Mair called their wives fat.
So Walker fired Mair. Well, news reports say she resigned, but Red State’s Erick Erickson (who is a friend of Mair) wrote, “Given Liz’s work history, I will put it to you this way – Team Walker has botched this. There’s just no way Liz Mair resigned with it being her idea.”
In response to the kerfuffle, Mair took to Twitter. Wednesday morning she wrote, “I may not like the result, but as someone who deals with a lot of opposition research, kudos for being quick on the fly…”
Later in the day she wrote about the mail she was getting from Iowan politicos. “It’s a sad commentary that self-described Iowa R[epublican]s are emailing me calling me things like ‘pig,’ ‘bitch,’ and ‘dyke.’” She continued in the next tweet, “I know I offended some folks with my tweets, but I never used that kind of insult. Nor would I. These Iowans are embarrassing the state.”
Welcome to the 2016 political primary: Where the final inning isn’t for a year, but the mud slingers are already at work; where in 49 other states, conservative hopefuls tout lean budgets and decry pork spending, yet they support ethanol just for Iowa; where a man like Walker, who stood firm before teachers unions and a corrupt prosecution, bows before state cronies over comments that expended fewer words than the preamble to the Declaration of Independence.
Meanwhile, if another presidential hopeful is looking for a communications consultant…
Obama’s End Run Around Congress
Kerry has the ballA nuclear deal with Iran is just around the corner, and it won’t be good for U.S. national security. The biggest clue is that Barack Obama wants an end run around Congress, likely opting instead for UN approval. To reach such a significant arms-control deal without congressional approval would be unprecedented.
The Obama administration expressed phony outrage over the “traitorous” open letter 47 Senate Republicans wrote to Iran, but these senators were merely stating the obvious: A deal struck without Congress isn’t legally binding beyond the current administration. Even the administration admits the deal is “nonbinding.” The only problem with the letter was that it should have beenaddressed to Obama, who is plotting to avoid the Senate entirely. Instead, Obama may seek approval from the UN Security Council, which would almost certainly prompt Russia, China and Europe to end their sanctions against Iran. That would leave any residual U.S. sanctions essentially toothless.
As early as March 25, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) plans to push legislation asserting Congress' role in approving any nuclear agreement, as well as a voice on continuing or ending sanctions. March 24 is the administration’s rough deadline for outlining a deal, which it’s being careful not to call a “treaty” so as to better circumvent Congress. Corker’s bill wouldn’t press the “treaty” angle; it would just ensure Congress has a say.
Former Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman advocated Corker’s approach in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, writing, “The essence of any deal would relieve the Iranians from such sanctions in exchange for certain restrictions on their nuclear activities. The sanctions under negotiation, however, are overwhelmingly the creation of Congress – put in law through bills passed by large bipartisan majorities. Given that Congress built the sanctions against Iran, it is unreasonable to bar it from any review or oversight in how that architecture is disassembled.”
Yet Obama has been directly pressuring Democrat senators against supporting Corker’s legislation, as well as promising a veto. White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough wrote a letter to Congress last weekend warning that legislation would “likely have a profoundly negative impact on the ongoing negotiations – emboldening Iranian hard-liners, inviting a counter-productive response from the Iranian majiles; differentiating the U.S. position from our allies in negotiations; and once again calling into question our ability to negotiate this deal.”
We absolutely call into question Obama’s ability to negotiate this flawed deal. It’s why Republicans wrote their letter. It’s why Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave hisspeech to Congress. And it’s why Netanyahu handily won re-election Tuesday.
Over the years, Obama repeatedly expressed how important it is to “prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.” But his crack negotiation team, led by Secretary of State John Kerry, isn’t exactly moving toward that goal. Perhaps that’s why by the end of February Obama was talking about merely trying to “*reduce the possibility* of Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon [emphasis added].”
On top of that softened rhetoric, Obama’s intelligence community’s 2015 Worldwide Threat Assessment removes both Iran and its terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, from the subsection on terrorism. Coincidence? Hardly. Yet this happened while Iran is gaining increasing hegemony in the region via its fight against ISIL – to the point that Saudi Arabia is considering its own nuclear arrangement as a counterbalance. So much for non-proliferation.
Obama wants Congress to wait at least until summer to weigh in. McDonough pleaded, “Let us complete the negotiations before the Congress acts on legislation. If we successfully negotiate a framework by the end of this month, and a final deal by the end of June, we expect a robust debate in Congress.” That is, unless Obama’s planned end run around Congress succeeds.

OPINION IN BRIEF
Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965): “The price of greatness is responsibility.”
Columnist Ann Coulter: “Frustrated at their inability to locate evidence of the endemic racism in America we keep hearing so much about, liberals have turned with a vengeance on the kids. Instead of armed policemen gunning down blacks, we got a secretly recorded video of few drunk 19- and 20-year-olds at the University of Oklahoma singing the n-word. (Everyone assumes the students were racists, but my theory is they were trying to record their own rap video.) … Today’s adults are held responsible for nothing. The president and attorney general aren’t held accountable for ginning up frenzied mobs based on a lie, leading to two cops being assassinated in New York City and two cops being shot in Ferguson, in addition to the $250 million in property damage. Hillary Clinton isn’t responsible for Americans being murdered at our embassy in Benghazi as a result of her incompetence. Democratic senators aren’t accountable for passing Obamacare without reading it, and Republican senators aren’t accountable for promising voters they’d stop Obama’s amnesty and then voting to fully fund it. … Instead of judging society by the inebriated songs of 19- and 20-year olds, perhaps we should judge it by how cultural and political elites treat their young people.”
Heritage Foundation president Jim DeMint: “Since reimbursement from government programs already favors hospital-based services, more physicians will leave private practice to become employees of large hospital systems. Private physician practices will become increasingly hard to find. If federal and state governments do not change this destructive cycle, America’s health system will increasingly become a two-tier system in which people of means pay for their health care directly while everyone else waits in line for whatever they can get. All the same people who ruined America’s health care system through government intervention will fight to make sure everyone is forced into a government plan. … There are too many short-term thinkers in the health care debate. It’s time for proponents of Obamacare and the expansion of Medicaid to understand that they are anything but compassionate. They are dooming many Americans to second-rate health care.”

Fellow Americans, we the average working people, who produce most of the goods and service that generate the real wealth on this country, comprise the base; the foundation of our country, but we are the forgotten piece of the equation on wealth distribution. The fact is that we are at the bottom of the pyramid when the legitimate question of compensation comes about. Wealth inequality and poverty are the result of the ill policies of this corrupt government that is controlled by the elite oligarchy and the predator monopolist US corporate system that claims to be a person.
Today the rich is getting richer because they control the government. Corporate American demise the American workers jobs, millions of jobs where outsourced and millions of jobs were lost when they closed our US factories, corporate America force our government to create wars and send us to fight for their interest and the right to exploit foreign countries, we have lost almost everything we own because the greedy corporate America and their love for money and power; millions of Americans become economic slaves and the middleclass is disappearing, while our government is lying to us by telling us that the economy is improving and jobs are created every month, but we know the truth and that they are lying to us.
Today material wealth and resources continue to funnel up to the financial elite, while domination and control come down through the Federal Reserve Bank, the international banking structure and the corporations and governments below them; but they neglected to see the power of the people because they are blind by greed. It’s important to note that the strength of the country is the foundation, the base the corner stone and that is us. We the people are the foundation and the main element of the future of our country. As people wake up and withdraw their support, the corrupt money structure will lose its power and control. Our strategy is simple close your accounts on the interstate Banks and deposit your money on credit unions and local state Banks. We must fight the corrupt money greedy Bankers to stop the demise and future of the American people. We know that the key to happiness is not money or great wealth, but a connection and a mutual trust among us. Working together for our personal well-being, good quality of life and our love for humanity can and will represent personal happiness. In God we trust to do what is right to re-store our freedom.

The reverse is true. The climate has a lot of impact on us.

By Wednesday morning, the European Union had congratulated Bibi Netanyahu on his election victory over labor party rival Herzog.
By Thursday morning…Obama had done no such thing.
In fact, according to Reuters, John Kerry who is in Switzerland working on the ‘deal’ with the Islamic Terrorist State of Iran…REFUSED to address the questions posed by reporters regarding Netanyahu and the Likud Party victory.
Little wonder…after all, Obama had sent his top campaign adviser to Israel to mastermind the Herzog bid to get rid of Bibi and, Kerry’s Department of State sent the V15 group some $350,000 of U.S. Taxpayer money for the exact same purpose.
The goal naturally was to rid the world stage of Netahyahu so that the forces if Islam would have a much easier time of things. With Netanyahu out of the way…the path toward the nuclear arming of Iran would have been paved in gold…without Netanyahu…ISIS could actually become ISIL as Obama so optimistically calls them.
It’s fair to speculate that there was a meeting in the Situation Room at the White House on Tuesday night and that Valerie Jarrett was NOT at all happy.
I mean…they thought they had that election bought and paid for but things just didn’t work out the way they THOUGHT they would.
So sure were the liberals of the mainstream media that Netanyahu would LOSE that they geared up for it all day long on Tuesday just giddy over the opportunity to be the first to utter the phrase: “Netanyahu LOSES!!!”
Lester Holt who has replaced the lying Brian Williams over at NBC put it this way…
Mr, Calin was terminated from his former employment at Greenlees Filters, LLC, in Forest Park, Illinois after he began being investigated by the F.B.I. and his former employer for unauthorized use of company resources to transmit threats and attempt to extort money. He also has historical links to the Romanian spy agency, known as S.R.I..

Subject: Fwd: Fw: Complaint of Criminal Activity by Romanian National in The United States
To: EHAGEN@dcm-mfg.com
This is a complaint about your "IT Project Manager" who works at Greenlees Filters, LLC, at your Forest Park, Illinois office.
Cristian Calin is using company resources, including phones, computers and both internet and telephone lines of your company to transmit threatening and extortionate message to me, my wife and my step son in Romania. I am a United States citizen and, as such, have duly filed a complaint with the Duty Officer at the Chicago Field Office of the F.B.I..
You are advised that Mr. Calin's activities may result in criminal prosecution for the Federal Offence of Interstate wire fraud and interstate communication of threats in connection with his attempt to support his father, Constantin Calin of Buzau, Romania, in fraudulently obtaining about 300,000 Euros in Agricultural subsidies from the European Union, through an office in Romania which administers such programs (A.P.I.A.).
Mr. Calin also graduated from the Academy Institute of Economic Sciences in Bucharest, which is a training school for the Romanian Intelligence Service, known here as S.R.I.. As such, the F.B.I. is now investigating Mr. Calin for National Security reasons, since he works for your company, which has significant U.S. Defence contracts.
A simple check of Mr. Calin's work phones and e-mail access will confirm or refute my allegations as to his use of company resources. Further examination may be required to determine how much company time he may be expending on his extortionate schemes. However, if my step-son's phone records here in Romania are any indication at all, he spent over 2 hours on the phone to my step son in Bucharest, just yesterday. That phone time does not count any internet use expended in any similar pursuit. He sent most of his extortionate SMS messages from the phone number of 773-541-1342. That may or may not be a company phone. Only you know that.
Copies of some of his communications via e-mail, along with my responses, including criminal
complaints about him to authorities is also enclosed for your review.
It is up to you about whether or not you want him in your company when he gets arrested for telephonic and e-mail extortion by the F.B.I.. I would think that no company wants much of a scandal. However, I leave that up to you.
In any event, I thank you for your attention to this matter.

The nation hits its borrowing limit today, with the Treasury Department once again resorting to “extraordinary measures” to keep from defaulting on a debt that now stands at a staggering $18.1 trillion. The measures are estimated to run dry sometime between October and November and while a default has been professed by both parties to be less likely this time around, raising the limit is just one bitter economic battle set embroil the White House, Congress and the politics of 2016. This week Congress begins to hammer out a budget, with separate Republican resolutions slated to be released by the House, Tuesday and the Senate, Wednesday. Achieving a joint budget resolution is critical to the Republican strategy to use reconciliation – a procedure that would enable the Senate to pass bills with a simple majority – as a means to usher in major policy changes such as a rollback of nObamaCare. President nObama could still use his veto, but at a political cost. -Fox News

So Howard Schultz, Chairman and CEO of Starbucks thinks we need to start a conversation about race. Just where has this man been? The discussion of race is everywhere, TV shows, mainstream media, talk radio, the classroom, the pulpit, the street corner. My suspicion is that the #RaceTogether campaign is nothing more than a clever marketing ploy, glomming on to the latest social issue to draw attention to the company and there by driving up sales.
If Schultz, and all the others that keep racial tension at the forefront of our collective conscience, really wanted to foster understanding and unity, they would be addressing the real cause of societies' downslide.
The conversation should be about character, accountability, personal responsibility, and good old common courtesy. The lack of these, is evident everywhere, from the checkout counter, to the highway. Right and wrong are malleable according to the situation, our behavior is never our fault, and for every injury or insult against us, someone must pay. We continually cry out for "justice" when what we really want is vengeance.
This isn't a black vs white, rich vs poor, man vs woman, Democrat vs Republican issue, it's an American issue. We have bought into the "it takes a village" ideology. We believe that it is the "village's" responsibility to take care of us and our children rather than assuming that responsibility ourselves, and have thereby become a self-centered nation of victims. Always ready to demand that we be treated the way we want to be treated, but never willing to look deep within our own psyches and our communities, to correct the bad attitudes and moral deficiencies within ourselves. We must have the courage to stand up for right and justice, but we must also develop the wisdom to know when a grievance is really worth taking a stand for, and when we should just toughen our skins and walk away. We should be willing to accept the truth, even when that truth is uncomfortable to face and puts us or our loved ones in a bad light.
WashEx: “The nObama administration won’t submit any deal limiting Iran’s nuclear ambitions to Congress for approval because it won’t be legally binding, Secretary of State Hanoi John Kerry said Wednesday. ‘We’ve been clear from the beginning we’re not negotiating a legally binding plan. We’re negotiating a plan that will have a capacity for enforcement,’ he told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. ‘We don’t even have diplomatic relations with Iran right now.’ Hanoi Kerry, who was visibly irritated by what he called misconceptions by lawmakers about the ongoing talks, was criticizing an open letter to Iran’s leaders signed by 47 Republican senators. The letter has angered Democrats, but appears not to have slowed bipartisan efforts to force congressional approval of a deal, in spite of stiff opposition by the nObama administration. As he spoke, committee Chairman Bob Corker, R-Tenn., who did not sign the letter but is a sponsor of legislation to require approval of any deal, cut him off. Corker later noted that as a senator, Hanoi Kerry had demanded congressional approval of a proposed agreement with Iraq on the status of U.S. troops there.” -Fox News

Now unfettered by electoral concerns, over the past week nObama exposed his ill-intentions toward Israel in two different ways.
First, the Justice Department leaked its intention to indict Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez on corruption charges. Menendez is the ranking Democratic member, and the former chairman, of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He is also the most outspoken Democratic critic of nObama's policy of appeasing the Iranian regime.
As former US federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy wrote this week at PJMedia, "It is perfectly reasonable to believe that Menendez may be guilty of corruption offenses and that his political opposition on Iran is factoring into the administration's decision to charge him. Put it another way, if Menendez were running interference for nObama on the Iran deal, rather than trying to scupper it, I believe he would not be charged."
The Menendez prosecution tells us that nObama wishes to leave office after having vastly diminished support for Israel among Democrats. And he will not hesitate to use strong-arm tactics against his fellow Democrats to achieve his goal.
We already experienced nObama's efforts in this sphere in the lead-up to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech before the joint houses of Congress on March 3 with his campaign to pressure Democratic lawmakers to boycott Netanyahu's address.
Now, with his move against Menendez, nObama made clear that support for Israel — even in the form of opposition to the nuclear armament of Iran — will be personally and politically costly for Democrats.
The long-term implications of nObama's moves to transform US support for Israel into a partisan issue cannot by wished away. It is possible that his successor as the head of the Democratic Party will hold a more sympathetic view of Israel. But it is also possible that the architecture of Democratic fund-raising and grassroots support that nObama has been building for the past six years will survive his presidency and that as a consequence, Democrats will have incentives to oppose Israel.
The reason nObama is so keen to transform Israel into a partisan issue was made clear by the second move he made last week.
Last Thursday, US National Security Adviser Susan Rice announced that the NSC's Middle East Coordinator Phil Gordon was stepping down and being replaced by serial Israel-basher Robert Malley.
Malley, who served as an NSC junior staffer during the Clinton administration, rose to prominence in late 2000 when, following the failed Camp David peace summit in July 2000 and the outbreak of the Palestinian terror war, Malley co-authored an op-ed in The New York Times blaming Israel and then-prime minister Ehud Barak for the failure of the negotiations.
What was most remarkable at the time about Malley's positions was that they completely contradicted Bill Clinton's expressed views. Clinton placed the blame for the failure of the talks squarely on then-Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's shoulders.
Not only did Arafat reject Barak's unprecedented offer of Palestinian statehood and sovereignty over all of Gaza, most of Judea and Samaria and parts of Jerusalem including the Temple Mount, he refused to make a counter-offer. And then two months later, he opened the Palestinian terror war, a.k.a. the second intifada.
As JWR contributor Jonathan Tobin explained in Commentary this week, through his writings and public statements, Malley has legitimized Palestinian rejection of Israel's right to exist. Malley thinks it is perfectly reasonable that the Palestinians refuse to concede their demand for free immigration of millions of foreign Arabs to the Jewish state in the framework of their concocted "right of return," even though the clear goal of that demand is to destroy Israel. As Tobin noted, Malley believes that Palestinian terrorism against Israel is "understandable if not necessarily commendable."
During nObama's 2008 presidential campaign, then-senator nObama listed Malley as a member of his foreign policy team. When pro-Israel groups criticized his appointment, nObama fired Malley.
But after his 2012 reelection, no longer fearing the ramifications of embracing an openly anti-Israel adviser, one who had documented contacts with Hamas terrorists and has expressed support for recognizing the terror group, nObama appointed Malley to serve as his senior adviser for Iraq-Iran-Syria and the Gulf states. Still facing the 2014 congressional elections, nObama pledged that Malley would have no involvement in issues related to Israel and the Palestinians. But then last week, he appointed him to direct the NSC's policy in relation to the entire Middle East, including Israel.
The deeper significance of Malley's appointment is that it demonstrates that nObama's goal in his remaining time in office is to realign US Middle East policy away from Israel. With his Middle East policy led by a man who thinks the Palestinian goal of destroying Israel is legitimate, nObama can be expected to expand his practice of placing all the blame for the absence of peace between Israel and the Palestinians solely on Israel's shoulders.
Malley's appointment indicates that there is nothing Israel can do to stem the tsunami of American pressure it is about to suffer. Electing a left-wing government to replace Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will make no difference.
Just as Malley was willing to blame Barak — a leader who went to Camp David as the head of a minority coalition, whose positions on territorial withdrawals were rejected by a wide majority of Israelis — for the absence of peace, so we can assume that he, and his boss, will blame Israel for the absence of peace over the next 22 months, regardless of who stands at the head of the next government.
In this vein we can expect the administration to expand the anti-Israel positions it has already taken.
The US position paper regarding Israeli-Palestinian negotiation that was leaked this past week to Yediot Aharonot made clear the direction nObama wishes to go. That document called for Israel to withdraw to the indefensible 1949 armistice lines, with minor revisions.
In the coming 22 months we can expect the US to use more and more coercive measures to force Israel to capitulate to its position.
The day the administration-sponsored talks began in July 2013, the EU announced it was barring its member nations from having ties with Israeli entities that operate beyond the 1949 armistice lines unless those operations involve assisting the Palestinians in their anti-Israel activities. The notion that the EU initiated an economic war against Israel the day the talks began without coordinating the move with the nObama administration is, of course, absurd.
We can expect the US to make expanded use of European economic warfare against Israel in the coming years, and to continue to give a backwind to the anti-Semitic BDS movement by escalating its libelous rhetoric conflating Israel with the apartheid regime in South Africa.
US-Israel intelligence and defense ties will also be on the chopping block.
While nObama and his advisers consistently boast that defense and intelligence ties between Israel and the US have grown during his presidency, over the past several years, those ties have suffered blow after blow. During the war with Hamas last summer, acting on direct orders from the White House, the Pentagon instituted a partial — unofficial — embargo on weapons to Israel.
As for intelligence ties, over the past month, the administration announced repeatedly that it is ending its intelligence sharing with Israel on Iran.
The Hilly Clinton email scandal has revealed that during her tenure as secretary of state, Clinton transferred top secret information regarding Israel's operations against Iran to the New York Times. We also learned that the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is being fingered as the source of the leak regarding the Stuxnet computer virus that Israel and the US reportedly developed jointly to cripple Iran's nuclear centrifuges.
In other words, since taking office, nObama has used the US's intelligence ties with Israel to harm Israel's national security on at least two occasions.
He has also used diplomacy to harm Israel. Last summer, nObama sought a diplomatic settlement of Hamas's war with Israel that would have granted Hamas all of its war goals, including its demand for open borders and access to the international financial system.
Now of course, he is running roughshod over his bipartisan opposition, and the opposition of Israel and the Sunni Arab states, in the hopes of concluding a nuclear deal with Iran that will pave the way for the ayatollahs to develop nuclear weapons and expand their hegemonic control over the Middle East.
Amid all this, and facing 22 months of ever more hostility as nObama pursues his goal of ending the US-Israel alliance, Israelis are called on to elect a new government.
This week the consortium of former security brass that has banded together to elect a leftist government led by Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni accused Netanyahu of destroying Israel's relations with the US. The implication was that a government led by Herzog and Livni will restore Israel's ties to America.
Yet as nObama has made clear both throughout his tenure in office, and, over the past week through Malley's appointment and Menendez's indictment, nObama holds sole responsibility for the deterioration of our ties with our primary ally. And as his actions have also made clear, Herzog and Livni at the helm will receive no respite in US pressure. Their willingness to make concessions to the Palestinians that Netanyahu refuses to make will merely cause nObama to move the goalposts further down the field. Given his goal of abandoning the US alliance with Israel, no concession that Israel will deliver will suffice.
And so we need to ask ourselves, which leader will do a better job of limiting the danger and waiting nObama out while maintaining sufficient overall US support for Israel to rebuild the alliance after nObama has left the White House.
The answer, it seems, is self-evident.
The Left's campaign to blame Netanyahu for nObama's hostility will make it all but impossible for a Herzog-Livni government to withstand US pressure that they say will disappear the moment Netanyahu leaves office.
In contrast, as the US position paper leaked to Yediot indicated, Netanyahu has demonstrated great skill in parrying US pressure. He agreed to hold negotiations based on a US position that he rejected and went along with the talks for nine months until the Palestinians ended them. In so doing, he achieved a nine-month respite in open US pressure while exposing Palestinian radicalism and opposition to peaceful coexistence.
On the Iranian front, Netanyahu's courageous speech before Congress last week energized nObama's opponents to take action and forced nObama onto the defensive for the first time while expanding popular support for Israel.
It is clear that things will only get more difficult in the months ahead. But given the stakes, the choice of Israeli voters next Tuesday is an easy one.

Hillary’s Camp: Oh, by the Way, We Really Did Read Every Email
Is this any way to run a nascent presidential campaign? It took Hillary Clinton three days to challenge the story that her “personal” emails were deleted without anyone even reading them. Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill released a statement claiming that when they said keyword searches were used to determine which emails to keep it wasn’t the only method they employed. “[I]n wanting the public to understand how robust of a search was conducted, the fact sheet laid out several examples of the methods used by the reviewers to double and triple check they were capturing everything,” he said. “It was not meant to be taken as a list of every approach performed to ensure thoroughness. Those subsequent steps were in addition to reading them all, not in lieu of reading them all. (No different than our explaining such terms were used but not listing every search term used.) We simply took for granted that reading every single email came across as the most important, fundamental and exhaustive step that was performed. The fact sheet should have been clearer every email was read, which we are doing now.” They assumed everyone would trust Hillary’s judgment. But, as the saying goes, you know what you get when you assume… More…
It’s ‘Sunshine Week,’ So Obviously Obama’s Blocking FOIAs
George W. Bush decided that the Office of Administration was exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests, despite the office having abided by the law for 30 years. Barack Obama’s administration has continued the Bush administration’s practice, and, in fact, the White House just made the policy official. USA Today notes, “[T]he timing of the move raised eyebrows among transparency advocates, coming on National Freedom of Information Day and during a national debate over the preservation of Obama administration records. It’s also Sunshine Week, an effort by news organizations and watchdog groups to highlight issues of government transparency.” Not only that, but the Office of Administration handles White House record keeping, including email, making the timing especially ironic during a firestorm surrounding Hillary Clinton’s corrupt email practices. So, once again, it’s plain that The Most Transparent Administration in History™ is about as see-through as a brick wall. More…
Finally! Congressional GOP Starts to Lead Using Proposed Budget
Congressional Republicans certainly have their work cut out for them. Today, the House Committee on the Budget, headed by Dr. Tom Price of Georgia, released its proposed budgetthat sets forth a Republican agenda for how the federal purse is to be spent. The budget, steeped in the fiscal influence of Rep. Paul Ryan, cuts spending by $5.1 trillion and slashes additional debt in 10 years. ObamaCare would be repealed and the caps on defense spending would be lifted. But such a proposal could be controversial even among Republicans because it pits war hawks like Sen. John McCain, who vehemently opposed the sequestration of defense spending, against Republicans who prioritize a tight fiscal policy in all quarters. Last month’s fight to fund the Department of Homeland Security while defunding Barack Obama’s executive actions on immigration showed that congressional Republicans face a double enemy – fratricidal infighting and an authoritarian executive. But a budget is a worthy goal (exactly why Harry Reid blocked one for so many years), and we’re glad to see the Republican majority finally starting to lead. More…
Jeb Bush’s ‘Grown-Up’ Immigration Plan
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush isn’t likely to win over many grassroots conservatives with his stance on immigration. But he knows that and isn’t even bothering to try. He sounded off on what to do with illegals already in the country, saying, “It’s easy to say, ‘Well, anything you propose is amnesty,’ but that’s not a plan. That’s a sentiment; that’s not a plan. I think the best plan, the most realistic plan – the grown-up plan, if you will – is once you control the border and you’re confident it’s not going to be another magnet, is to say, ‘Let’s let these folks achieve earned legal status where they work, where they come out of the shadows.’” He’s right in that dealing with illegals already here is the most difficult part of immigration reform, and there are few, if any, satisfactory plans to do so. We’ll give Bush marks for consistency, but he would do far better to try to win converts than to belittle as children those on his own side who disagree with his approach. That’s what leftists do.
Seattle Eateries Are Dying and Minimum Wage Killed Them
It’s just going to be that much harder to get some authentic Seattle salmon. Due to the city’s minimum wage hike that’s set to slam the city April 1 (April Fools!), Seattle restaurants are closing because they can’t pay workers the $15 an hour minimum wage. Seattle Magazinereports, “Washington Restaurant Association’s [Anthony] Anton puts it this way: ‘It’s not a political problem; it’s a math problem.’ He estimates that a common budget breakdown among sustaining Seattle restaurants so far has been the following: 36 percent of funds are devoted to labor, 30 percent to food costs and 30 percent go to everything else (all other operational costs). The remaining 4 percent has been the profit margin, and as a result, in a $700,000 restaurant, he estimates that the average restaurateur in Seattle has been making $28,000 a year.” While restaurants are not the economic lifeblood of any city, a city without good food is tasteless. This is a tangible example of what’s happening to Seattle’s economy with a government-mandated wage. More…

RIGHT ANALYSIS
DOJ Bouncers Eye Conservatives

The Justice Department recently announced plans to crack down on campaign finance coordination between candidates and outside groups. Not satisfied with the job the Federal Election Commission is doing to keep candidates from leveraging independent political groups, Justice said it will investigate such cases and “aggressively pursue coordination offenses at every appropriate opportunity.”
The Wall Street Journal explains, “Under federal law, a campaign expenditure is illegally coordinated when it meets certain tests for content and conduct. The content of an ad must either advocate for a candidate or mention the candidate by name in the 60 days before a general election. The conduct amounts to illegal coordination if there is material involvement or substantial discussion between a [political action committee] and a candidate regarding that election-related content.”
Proving coordination can be difficult, but starting an investigation can be alarmingly easy. All that’s needed is an allegation that two people talked who shouldn’t have – then government lawyers can come in and comb through files, computer drives and bank accounts with the full power of the FBI behind them.
Is there really a rash of corrupt coordination taking place between political candidates and PACs? What kind of widespread corruption would warrant the Justice Department taking such sweeping actions? “The opportunity to commit crime has increased dramatically,” said DOJ spokesman Peter Carr. Oh, the opportunity. But what about actual crime?
Well, the total number of such cases DOJ opened since the Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling on campaign finance has plummeted, as has the total amount of fines collected. According to the DOJ’s statist mindset, that could only mean missed opportunities to shakedown political opponents.
GOP members of the FEC claim the lower number of investigations indicates people are following the rules, though Democrat members believe Republicans must be getting away with something. You can imagine which side the DOJ will come down on.
Richard Pilger, head of the DOJ’s Election Crimes Branch, supports pursuing coordination investigations. The outcome of an FEC investigation could lead to fines or even jail time.
Incidentally, Pilger was the DOJ official who in 2010 reached out to the IRS’s Lois Lerner – remember her? – about prosecuting nonprofits that engaged in fraud on their tax returns. Lerner ended up sharing protected taxpayer data on a number of nonprofit groups – coincidentally, all of them supported conservative causes. Talk about coordination.
In fact, Barack Obama’s 2012 election victory could largely be attributable to the IRS’s targeting of his political opponents.
Lerner’s activity and the DOJ’s open-ended persecution of political groups are both far bigger threats to free political speech than any phone call or backroom meeting between a candidate and a PAC. The government, whether it’s through the IRS or the Justice Department, bullies organizations into silence by tangling them in bureaucratic red tape, threatening jail or fines, or simply gumming up the works with extended investigations. And it’s no coincidence that a vast majority of these organizations fall on the opposite side of the political spectrum than the White House, Lerner or Pilger. The Left hates free political speech coming from the Right. And leftists will use any available tool to silence it.
Democrats Traffic in Abortion
Reid's black eyeSenate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced that the Senate will not vote on Barack Obama’s nomination of Loretta Lynch to take over Eric Holder’s position as attorney general until Democrats start cooperating on a human trafficking bill. Your move, Harry Reid.
Senate Democrats are furious over some of the language included in the trafficking bill, claiming they didn’t know it contained the Hyde Amendment, which stipulates the bill may contain no federal funding for abortions. So far, they’ve blocked a vote on it.
They didn’t know it contained this language? That’s a bit absurd considering that the trafficking bill contains the same language that was part of the legislation from the beginning. Furthermore, the Hyde Amendment has been a common addition to spending bills since 1976. Perhaps Democrats decided to read the bill this time – a novel idea for them.
Senate Minority Leader Reid gave his two cents, blustering, “Any attempt to hold a confirmation vote hostage because of this abortion provision is a sham.”
So says the man who spent his entire time as majority leader holding House legislation hostage.
John Cornyn (R-TX) noted, “When we offered them an opportunity to offer an amendment to change [the abortion language], they said: ‘No, we don’t want an amendment. We don’t want to change it by a vote of the Senate. We just want to block the bill.’”
The fact Democrats will not vote for a trafficking bill simply because it includes language blocking federal funding for abortion – language they helped pass before – reveals how twisted their minds are when it comes to the issue of life. Just as revealing of their warped thinking is that they are more concerned about voting on the Lynch nomination than they are about trafficking or protecting life.
And the street doesn’t run both ways. If Republicans were to block a bill on trafficking for any reason, Democrats and their Leftmedia lemmings would quickly label them “pro-trafficking.”
National Review’s Joel Gehrke writes, “[This is] the same tactic that Democrats used to kill the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill in order to avoid taking a vote on House-passed language targeting President Obama’s executive orders on immigration with a tweak: Democrats allowed the debate on human trafficking to begin, but they won’t offer an amendment during the debate to get rid of language they oppose.” Yet somehow they continue to get away with painting Republicans as the party of “no.”
McConnell is playing his cards right this time. And if he stands firm by holding off the vote on Loretta Lynch until Democrats cooperate and pass the human trafficking bill, then Republicans will have finally stood on principle against Democrats. If McConnell succeeds, then one has to ask, why in the world didn’t he use it on the DHS/executive amnesty bill?

OPINION IN BRIEF
Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965): “The price of greatness is responsibility.”
Columnist Arnold Ahlert: “Anyone still remember the left’s apoplexy when they discovered Richard Nixon had an enemies list? Last week, I named three people I suspected might be on Barack Obama’s equally contemptible equivalent. They were Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. One week later that educated guess is looking like a stone cold winner. … Hillary flounders, Menendez squirms and Netanyahu’s fate may have been sealed by Obama’s campaign allies. And the see-no-Obama-evil American media maintains its calculated disinterest because they are as invested in Obama’s deal with Iran – and the self-aggrandizing nonsense about achieving a ‘historical legacy’ that accompanies it – as the Obama administration itself is. … They will do whatever they want, by any means necessary, and they dare anyone to stop them. Those who try will undoubtedly make themselves as targetable as Clinton, Menendez and Netanyahu. That’s because Barack Obama … is Richard Nixon. On steroids.”
Columnist Michael Barone: “The president has made it clear he won’t submit any agreement [with Iran] to Congress for approval, and his spokesmen have made feints at suggesting he would seek approval, in the hopes of some measure of permanence, by the United Nations Security Council. He is evidently ready to acquiesce to an expansion of Iranian power in the Middle East and a green light for Iran to obtain a bomb in 10 years, on the assumption that the character of the regime has changed sufficiently to render it tolerable. Neither Saudi Arabia and other Arab neighbors nor Israel considers that desirable. Neither do most of members of Congress or, to judge from polls, most American voters. This is not the first time a Congress has been at odds with a president’s foreign policy and has tried to push back. That was the case in back in 2007 and 2008, when most members of the Democratic Congress opposed George W. Bush’s surge strategy in Iraq, which contrary to their predictions, succeeded. Barack Obama threw that victory away and now seems complacent about Iran’s advances beyond its borders. Telling Iran’s leaders that most in Congress and most Americans disagree and that an agreement may not last is just highlighting what should be obvious.”
Fred Thompson: “A new study shows that too much praise can turn your child into a rude narcissist. Giving them a Nobel Peace Prize for no reason doesn’t help any, either.”
