Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

BBC host on Manchester jihad massacre: “Europe has to get used to this”

( MUSLIMS DO NOT ASSIMILATE, THEY INFILTRATE )

BBC host Katty Kay, responding to Monday night’s suicide bombing in Manchester Arena after an Ariana Grande concert, told viewers Tuesday that Europeans are going to have to “get used” to terror attacks in their backyards.

If Katty Kay’s loved ones had been murdered in a jihad terror attack, she wouldn’t be so careless with her words. Europeans need to wake up and fight hard for their civilization, and must not accept jihad attacks as a norm. It is astonishing that most Europeans are still in denial about the danger they are in, and Kay is going even farther, encouraging Europeans to give up and surrender to the jihad.

At the end of April, prior to France’s election, Emmanuel Macron revealed his casual approach to jihad terror when he echoed former Prime Minister Manuel Valls’ statements after the deadly truck attack on Bastille Day 2016. Valls stated that “times have changed and we should learn to live with terrorism.” In like manner, Macron described terrorism as an “imponderable problem” that will be “part of our daily lives for the years to come”.

Sacrificing the lives of innocent men, women and children to jihadis who are determined ultimately to take over is not an option. This barbarism must not be normalized, as Macron, Valls, Katty Kay and others are trying to do.

In the refreshingly politically incorrect words of Donald Trump to leaders of Muslim countries:

DRIVE THEM OUT of your places of worship.
DRIVE THEM OUT of your communities.
DRIVE THEM OUT of your holy land, and
DRIVE THEM OUT OF THIS EARTH.

Western authorities need to begin this process at home, driving out both stealth and violent jihadists, and those who preach jihad. They should begin with designating the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, and by beginning surveillance of mosques that are known to be centers of jihad preaching and recruitment.

“BBC Anchor: Europe Has to ‘Get Used’ to These Attacks,” by Cortney O’Brien, Townhall, May 23, 2017:

BBC host Katty Kay, responding to Monday night’s suicide bombing in Manchester Arena after an Ariana Grande concert, told viewers Tuesday that Europeans are going to have to “get used” to terror attacks in their backyards.

Leaders like President Trump and British Prime Minister Theresa May are rejecting that message. They both offered strong statements in response to ISIS’ barbaric attack, May condemning the terrorists’ “cowardice” and Trump calling them “evil losers,” both pledging to seek justice.

Accepting terrorism as the norm is not acceptable. We must fight back and defend our homeland. The “Mother of All Bombs,” which killed 94 ISIS fighters, is an example of how the Trump administration has refused to sit idly by and let terror reign worldwide.

After Manchester jihad massacre, UK troops to occupy…UK

A nation spiraling toward chaos, due to the actions of its own government and entrenched political and media elites.

“UK to deploy troops after attack, risk now ‘critical’: May,” Reuters, May 23, 2017:

Britain’s armed forces will be deployed to boost security, Prime Minister Theresa May said on Tuesday, as the country raised its terror threat to the highest level of “critical” after a suicide attack in Manchester that killed 22 people, including children.

May said members of the armed forces would be positioned at key sites to free up police for patrols and military personnel might be deployed at public events such as concerts and sports events as a further attack was seen as potentially imminent.

May said the independent body which sets the threat level had recommended it be raised from “severe” after a man named by police as Salman Abedi set off an improvised bomb on Monday night as crowds streamed out of a concert….

The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Manchester, England bombing of an Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 and maimed another 64. While there is a hunt for accomplices and three suspects have been arrested, the bomber has been identified as Salman Abedi, a British-born Muslim. He is suspected of receiving terror training in Syria while ostensibly visiting his family in Libya. An eight year old girl was among the dead as well as many others in their teens and 20s. But the carnage also reaped the lives of parents and relatives who were waiting to pick up their kids after the concert. Muslims blowing up youngsters is the height of cowardice and evil. Muslims around the world need to take responsibility.
While there is no end to the evil that man perpetrates upon mankind, and there are many examples across all cultures, Islam consistently throughout its history has advanced by extreme violence, beginning with its warlord prophet Mohammad. All peace-loving people should challenge members of the Islamic faith to denounce its religion's violence. Peaceful Muslims, who like many Christians and Jews might not even read the Koran or know what it means if they do, should stand up and say "No More." But those that do are labeled infidels and are marked for execution. When Muslims are not killing non-Muslims, they are killing Muslims. They are following the instructions of the Muslim holy book, the Koran, to kill infidels-Muslims who are not complying, non-Muslims, and Christians and Jews specifically.
Here are a few verses from the Koran. They are not taken out of context: Sura 9:5 "... slay the infidels wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush." Sura 8:12 says, "Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes." Sura 4:55 says, "Lo! Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment. Lo! Allah is ever Mighty, Wise." These are just three of many.
As President Donald Trump said in his Saudi Arabia speech, "Terrorists do not worship God, they worship death...If we do not stand in uniform condemnation of this killing-then not only will we be judged by our people, not only will we be judged by history, but we will be judged by God. This is not a battle between different faiths, different sects, or different civilizations. This is a battle between barbaric criminals who seek to obliterate human life, and decent people of all religions who seek to protect it. This is a battle between Good and Evil." All Muslims who believe they are good should stand up and demand that the instructions of violence be denounced and ripped out of their holy book. They should join with the rest of civilization against terror and death and tyranny.
We know, however, that this will not happen. As prophesied of Ishmael, the patriarch of Islam, in Genesis 16:11-12, "Behold, thou art with child, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael...And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." It is impossible to live in peace with this lineage and these people, for they are the very same who are named as coming against Israel when Christ returns. Muslims, however, should be challenged worldwide to denounce this violence and stand against it. Otherwise, their silence is considered consent.

Watch Steven Crowder’s Powerful Response to Manchester Terror

Though the point has been underscored ad nauseam on the Right, Monday’s terror attack in Manchester moved CRTV host Steven Crowder to once again stress the imperative need for truth with regard to religious terrorism that killed at least 22 people and injured dozens more.

According to CBS News, the suspected bomber is Salman Abedi, a 23-year-old that was known to authorities. ISIS has also claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed at least 22 people and injured dozens more.

“I think that whether it’s journalism, or outrage, or even comedy, it serves no purpose if there isn’t some kind of a seeking for truth,” Crowder said Monday night. “I don’t mean your truth … I don’t mean finding a truth — I mean the truth.”

The truth, Crowder says, as made clear once again in the U.K., is that political Islam has no place in the Western, civilized world.

“These values, the political prescription of Islam is, by its own definition, completely incompatible with Western culture because it seeks to eradicate Western culture,” Crowder said. “That’s its purpose.”

“Appeasement is completely futile. Trying to appease a group of people whose worldview requires the eradication of those who appease them is … so silly I can’t even wrap my mind around it.”

In a statement responding to the terror attack, President Donald Trump said that the United States stands “in absolute solidarity with the people of the United Kingdom.”

Trump is being criticized for referring to terrorists as “evil losers in life.” Crowder defended the president’s characterization of the terrorists, explaining that Trump is trying to shame Islamists – who view shame as worse than death.

“Could he find a better way to express himself? Sure,” Crowder said. “But starting by shaming them and belittling them – that’s one hell of a start. And that’s why you’re seeing a contrast between him and other leaders. I’m not the biggest fan of him on every issue. But today I certainly stand with the president of the United States and the sentiment of shaming these absolute losers at life in contrast with other world leaders — and as opposed to mincing words on social media.”

Finally, Crowder called for an alliance of people who value Western values against the forces of Islamic hatred that wish to destroy the West.

“Let’s be ultra-sensitive to the truth. Let’s take our sensitivity in a different direction; let’s try and be as sensitive and as open-minded as humanly possible to the truth. And the truth right now, and the truth that is becoming clearer and clearer by the day is that … the prescribed practicing of political Islam as outlined by Muhammad is completely incompatible with Western civilization. And it’s time for us to ally against it.” (For more from the author of “Watch Steven Crowder’s Powerful Response to Manchester Terror” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/05/watch-steven-crowders-powerful-response-to-manchester-terror/

Trump Impresses and Presses in Speech to Top

Donald Trump delivered a powerful and well-received speech to the U.S.-Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh on Sunday, in which he called for the Islamic world to commit itself to the fight to end "Islamic extremism." Trump encouraged Muslim leaders to own the responsibility for defeating Islamic terrorism, stating, "America is prepared to stand with you — in pursuit of shared interests and common security. But the nations of the Middle East cannot wait for American power to crush this enemy for them. The nations of the Middle East will have to decide what kind of future they want for themselves, for their countries, and for their children. It is a choice between two futures — and it is a choice America cannot make for you."
Trump briefly noted the epic humanitarian crisis (caused by the policies of Barack liar-nObama and liar-Hillary Clinton, we'll add), which has seen hundreds of thousands of refugees exiting the Middle East. But he also offered a vision of hope: "This region should not be a place from which refugees flee, but to which newcomers flock."
He pointedly challenged the religious legitimacy of radical Islam, saying, "Every time a terrorist murders an innocent person, and falsely invokes the name of God, it should be an insult to every person of faith." Trump continued, contending, "Terrorists do not worship God; they worship death."
In a veiled but obvious rebuke of liar-nObama's failed Middle East policy, Trump pledged that the U.S. would adopted a foreign policy of "principled realism." He elaborated, "We will make decisions based on real-world outcomes — not inflexible ideology. We will be guided by the lessons of experience — not the confines of rigid thinking. And, wherever possible, we will seek gradual reforms — not sudden intervention." And later in his speech, Trump directly focused his sights on Iran, noting its current regime's fueling and funding of terrorism. Saying that from Saudi Arabia was rather pointed.
Trump's clear tone change from the previous eight years is welcome both for Americans frustrated with the U.S.'s lack of leadership in the region and for Middle Eastern leaders who were alarmed by liar-nObama's repeated concessions to Iran. Trump's visit was more than mere words, as he also signed a joint arms agreement between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia worth almost $110 billion. Next up: visiting Israel. On his first foreign trip, Trump is proving himself a capable statesman.

Flynn to take 5th rather than

by Ed Morrissey
{hotair.com} ~ It seems that the Senate Intelligence Committee couldn’t cut a deal with Michael Flynn after all. The Associated Press reports this morning that the former national security adviser will refuse to provide any testimony... and will invoke the Fifth Amendment instead. Last week, the AP ended up with some egg on its face when it relied on Senate Intel chair Richard Burr’s contention that Flynn had decided to “defy” a subpoena. It turned out that Flynn’s attorneys had not actually responded to the subpoena at the time, forcing everyone into a retreat from the story. As I noted at the time, Flynn had demanded immunity at the end of March in exchange for this testimony, a demand which Trump endorsed at the time. Burr rejected the offer almost immediately, with sources telling NBC that such a request was “wildly preliminary” at that stage... http://hotair.com/archives/2017/05/22/ap-flynn-take-5th-rather-testify-senate-hearing/?utm_source=hadaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

{rickwells.us} ~ Anyone who was around and remembers the Chicago Tylenol murders in 1982 knows how vulnerable we are as a society to evil, sick people who just want to kill... In those murders seven people died from the original lacing of Tylenol capsules with potassium cyanide. There were several more death from copycat offenders. Nobody was ever charged or convicted for the crimes even though there were batch numbers on the medications. Imagine how difficult or impossible it is to prevent similar attacks, to prepare, and to identify and track down the perpetrators as they move from target to target. The description of evil, sick people who just want to kill fits ISIS terrorists. with some recent discoveries of them conducting tests on “human guinea pigs” revealed in documents found hidden in Mosul University after Iraqi special forces recaptured the large portions of the city from ISIS terrorists.  The unwitting victims were given tainted food and water that contained compounds used in pesticides and which are easily available, including in the US. It is feared from the information uncovered they had a program that has been in existence for at least three years to develop the capability to conduct such attacks utilizing formulas which dissolve quickly in liquids...http://rickwells.us/active-isis-water-food-poisoning-plot-uncovered-captured-docs/

His Personality Blocks His Agenda
by Tom McLaughlin

{tommclaughlin.blogspot.com} ~ I voted for him, yes, and given the same choices I’d do so again, but he’s making an ass of himself. Maybe that’s not entirely true because he’s behaving much the same way he did through the primaries, so I guess he already was an ass and he’s just reinforcing that general perception. When he actually governs I like what he does, but his personality blocks his agenda.
51aXE0o8rmL._SX331_BO1%252C204%252C203%252C200_.jpg
Cruz was my choice, but Trump won the nomination. During the primaries and general election campaign I wrote columns critical of Donald Trump and my conservative readership reacted. Some agreed. Others said Trump was the only candidate strong enough to kick butt in Washington — both Democrat and Republican butts — as necessary. I agreed that was indeed necessary, and Trump seemed fearless — unaffected and unintimidated by whatever criticism media directed to him. He’d throw it right back and that’s why he won. But is he really as fearless as he seemed?
quote-senator-ted-cruz-is-not-qualified-to-be-president-because-he-doesn-t-have-the-right-donald-trump-145-37-10.jpg
A truly tough leader would stick to his battle plan, would expect criticism, and wouldn't let it knock him off track. But maybe voters overestimated Trump’s strength. We’re still in the early rounds of this long fight, but the left and the media — which are one and the same — are getting to him. They haven’t landed any solid punches because there’s no evidence of collusion with the Russians, but they’re playing a head game with Trump and it’s working. He’s not sticking to his fight plan. The criticism is affecting him, bigly. The liar-Hillary campaign focused entirely on Trump’s temperament, but she lost because of her own flaws. It’s ironic now that she was right about his temperament. It’s tripping him up.
Donald-Trump-I-Have-a-Much-Better-Temperament-Than-Hillary-Clinton.jpg
Senior advisor Steve Bannon said last February at CPAC that: “[C]orporatist, globalist media… are adamantly opposed -- adamantly opposed to an economic nationalist agenda like Donald Trump has… If you think they're going to give you your country back without a fight, you are sadly mistaken. Every day -- every day, it is going to be a fight.”
hwDf0GRYPSEVbujNtQQGQJc4hq0sDjE4zX_t7qAjK9A.jpg
Bannon was absolutely right. He said then that he believed Trump would stick to his agenda through it all, but I wonder what he’s thinking now. Are the rumors of Bannon’s reduced influence true? I have no inside information, but I don’t think Trump has been acting on Bannon’s advice during the past couple of months. I’ll bet Bannon is trying to channel Will Rogers, whose sage advice was: “Never miss a good chance to shut up.” Most of us who voted for him wish Trump would just shut up — and put his phone away too. Don’t tweet until you first consult with advisors.
6324146-will-rogers-never-miss-a-chance-to-shut-up.jpg
Is Trump really as tough as he pretends to be? Perhaps, but with many braggarts there’s a deep-seated, inferiority complex under a brusque persona. He can’t point to positive opinion polls the way he did in the primaries, and from which he drew energy. Media onslaught against him since his inauguration has been unprecedented and relentless — and he’s not handling it well at all. A recently-released study on Trump’s first 100 days from Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy claims he got three times more media coverage than previous presidents — and 80% of it has been negative.
figure-4.png
Harvard's Kennedy School of Government study
Fox News was the most balanced, but even their coverage was slightly more negative than positive. O’Reilly and Hannity were unequivocally with Trump, but the rest were either lukewarm or against him. It’s not too late to get back on track. The foreign trip is helping and Trump is sticking to script, mostly. Let’s hope that continues.
Figure-6-NEW-web.png
Harvard's Kennedy School of Government study
When he was negotiating real estate deals, Trump dealt with people who wanted to do business with him. If he expressed annoyance they would be inclined to compromise, but it’s not like that in politics. Political enemies on the left are not moved by petulance. They’re persuaded only by massive public support of the kind Ronald Reagan had. They’re not seeing that behind Trump so they’re obstructing him wherever they can. They rely on their media army to portray the November election as illegitimate. They’ve relentlessly charged that Trump won only because the Russians helped him. That there is no evidence to support this after almost a year of investigation — zip, zero, nada — doesn’t deter them in the least.
2017-05-16-7fc38818_large.jpeg
I don’t know this but I’d guess that Trump hasn’t played much poker. The left is bluffing. It has nothing, but as Cool Hand Luke said in the famous movie by that name: “Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand.”

Especially if you’re playing against the fragile ego of Donald J. Trump.

{familysecuritymatters.org} ~ Robert Mueller has a serious conflict of interest that should disqualify him from serving as special counsel... He has had a long and close relationship with someone who will surely become a pivotal witness -James Comey. No one doubts Mueller's sterling credentials. That is not the issue. He is eminently qualified. The problem arises in his duty to fairly and objectively evaluate the evidence he gathers. How can Americans have confidence in the results if they know the special counsel may harbor a conspicuous bias? They cannot. The conflict inevitably discredits whatever conclusion is reached. It renders the entire investigatory exercise suspect, and it only elevates the controversy surrounding it. For this reason, Mueller should not serve as special counsel...http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/why-robert-mueller-should-resign-as-special-counsel?f=must_reads

{lifezette.com} ~ A former CIA agent said the Trump family is undoubtedly being targeted by intelligence agencies and other actors looking to damage the Trump administration... Bob Baer, a former CIA case officer, made the comments Friday during an appearance on “The Laura Ingraham Show.” Ingraham asked Baer if right-wing populist political activists should be concerned about being monitored by deep state actors. “For you and me, no … we’re not that important to the equation,” Baer said. “But you can count on it that people are after the Trump family right now.”...http://www.lifezette.com/polizette/former-cia-agent-people-trump-family-right-now/

{rickwells.us} ~ The fact that the Fake News Washington Post is immediately dismissing as “conspiracy theory” the legitimate questions asked by Newt Gingrich on Fox and Friends Sunday about the murder of Seth Rich is a huge signal... that the leftists don’t want it investigated. That would be the same individuals who likely discovered that he was leaking email information to WikiLeaks and who may have some involvement in or knowledge of the events surrounding and responsibility for his murder. His body was just another in the long line of suspicious deaths associated with liar-Clinton scandal and lawbreaking. In what appears to be an obvious attempt to knock the story down before Mueller is forced to include it in his investigation, the Washington Post wrote, “Former House speaker Newt Gingrich, a stalwart supporter of President Trump, used a Sunday-morning appearance on ‘Fox and Friends’ to spread the conspiracy theory that former Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was killed last year to cover up the true story of how WikiLeaks obtained tens of thousands of hacked Democratic Party emails... http://rickwells.us/gingrich-attacked-soros-groups-msm-raising-wikileaks-seth-rich-dnc-connection/

{
weeklystandard.com} ~ Washington greeted the news that the Justice Department had named Robert Mueller special counsel to oversee the FBI's investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election with a collective sigh of relief. The speed and intensity of events and developments about this interference—and the possibility that Trump associates were involved or had knowledge of it—had only increased over the first four months of Donald Trump's presidency.

It was particularly virulent in the nine days preceding Mueller's appointment. In quick succession, the FBI director was fired, the White House lied about the reasons, the president reportedly disclosed classified intelligence to the Russian foreign minister, and the White House declined to comment on whether Trump had recordings of his conversations with Comey or others. Then on the evening of May 16, the New York Times reported that Comey had drafted a detailed memo following a February meeting with Trump in which the director claimed the president had pushed him to "let go" of the FBI's investigation into former national security adviser Mike Flynn, the epicenter of scrutiny about Russian meddling.

Much of professional Washington, the brotherhood of the political news media, and the White House staff itself were exhausted, dizzy, and caught off guard when Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced Mueller's appointment at 6 p.m. on May 17. You could hear a pin drop on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue as everyone absorbed the news. Then, the reactions started rolling in.

As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know—there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity," said President Trump in a surprisingly conciliatory statement that evening. "I look forward to this matter concluding quickly."

"My priority has been to ensure thorough and independent investigations are allowed to follow the facts wherever they may lead," said House speaker Paul Ryan in a statement. "That is what we've been doing here in the House. The addition of Robert Mueller as special counsel is consistent with this goal, and I welcome his role at the Department of Justice."

"A special counsel is very much needed in this situation and Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein has done the right thing," said Senate minority leader Chuck clown-Schumer. "I now have significantly greater confidence that the investigation will follow the facts wherever they lead."

The investigation will drag on for months, maybe years. The process won't be pretty. It is likely to result in great costs both in money and to the reputation of anyone caught in its scope. But for Trump opponents convinced of the worst, for Trump allies convinced of deep-state sabotage, and for the bulk of the country just looking for a reason to trust their institutions again, Mueller's appointment as a special counsel provides a real chance for resolution. There may finally be an authoritative answer to what the Russians really did or didn't do during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The wellspring of this confidence in the new special counsel is the man himself: Robert Mueller. The former FBI director is respected on both sides of the aisle and throughout the world of criminal justice. "Former Director Mueller is exactly the right kind of individual for this job," said clown-Schumer. Jason Chaffetz, the Republican chair of the House Oversight Committee, called Mueller a "great selection" and a man with "impeccable credentials."

Jack Goldsmith, a Harvard law professor who worked with Mueller in the George W. Bush Justice Department, called him a "man of extraordinary integrity." "He's not afraid to stand up to POTUS when the law demands," Goldsmith wrote on Twitter the night of Mueller's appointment. "I also think it is a great choice for Trump if he is innocent. Mueller is one of few people who can reach that conclusion with credibility."

A Republican, Mueller had stints as a federal prosecutor during the 1970s and '80s. After Bill liar-nClinton was elected president, Mueller settled into a good job at a litigation firm in Boston. But he grew antsy in the private sector and, in 1995, called up an old friend who'd become the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, Eric Holder, and asked if there was a job where he could put away murderers. liar-nObama's future attorney general placed Mueller in the homicide division. Three years later, after Holder became liar-Clinton's deputy attorney general, Mueller was named U.S. attorney in Northern California—the job he held until Bush appointed him FBI director in 2001, just days before 9/11. The terrorist attacks defined Mueller's 12-year term as director of the bureau, which he transformed into an institution that prioritized counterterrorism.

A Marine platoon commander who served in Vietnam, Mueller can be rigid to a fault, as an FBI employee who worked closely with him for years says. He arrived at FBI headquarters every day at 6 a.m. Staff in the office of the director joked that because Mueller wore only white shirts with either a blue tie or red one, this became the de facto dress code of the bureau. "He's the human embodiment of the first of the FBI's core values," says the employee. "He is 'rigorous obedience to the Constitution.' "

That obedience led him to clash with the president who had named him to the directorship. In 2004, Mueller and James Comey, then the deputy attorney general, fought an effort by the Bush administration to overrule the Justice Department's finding that the administration's domestic wiretap program was unconstitutional. When Mueller and Comey threatened to resign, the White House backed off and implemented changes to the program.

If Trump allies have any objection to Mueller, it will be the perceived closeness with Comey and Holder. But there are very good reasons to be at ease with the appointment.

Mueller is 72, at the end of a long career in public service, and has no obvious political ambitions or scores to settle. The contrast with the last special counsel to haunt a Republican president is acute. Patrick Fitzgerald was just 43 and in the middle of his career when he was tapped to lead the investigation into the Valerie Plame affair during the George W. Bush administration. Republicans found Fitzgerald obsessed with his power, fishing for indictments anywhere he could find them. He eventually charged the vice president's chief of staff, Scooter Libby, with five counts of perjury and obstruction of justice—charges that came directly from statements Libby made during Fitzgerald's investigation, not from any wrongdoing related to the leaking of Plame's identity which was not his doing.

Mueller is also the polar opposite of the showboater critics accuse Comey of being. As FBI director, Mueller avoided the spotlight. "He's uncomfortable with the press," says the former employee. "He is extremely reticent." While the controversy over Russia and Trump has become a media circus, Mueller should be a sobering force.

His appointment has already been that on Capitol Hill. Republican lawmakers had spent the better part of last two weeks praying for some calm. On May 16, Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell said Congress could "do with a little less drama" from the White House. "It feels like we've lived three months in one week," South Dakota senator John Thune told reporters.

Rosenstein's announcement was met with a bipartisan chorus of praise. Republicans were quick to say that their agenda and the legislative process were still on. "It's very important that people know that we can walk and chew gum at the same time," Paul Ryan told reporters. "I realize that there's a lot in the media these days. That doesn't seize up Congress. That doesn't stop us from doing our jobs to work on people's problems."

Arizona senator RINO-John McCain said that the controversies may divert attention, but they don't slow the overall legislative progress. "We are proceeding with health care reform, we are proceeding with the defense authorization act," he said. "We all have to walk and chew gum at the same time up here," quipped Idaho senator Jim Risch, picking up Ryan's metaphor. "You guys are kind of focused on all this stuff. But believe it or not, we're actually legislating. Congress is working."

South Carolina's Lindsey Graham was particularly vocal about the Mueller appointment. "We can get back to the normal business of legislating," he said. "You know, the winners of this would be the new FBI director—they don't have to deal with it—and Republicans in Congress, because we don't have to talk to y'all anymore." He continued: "The losers I think are Democrats because they don't have a perch, and the Trump administration, because this is going to go on longer, and there will be a thousand leaks a week."

The most pressing question: What will the president do?

His uncharacteristically conventional statement the night of May 17 suggested Trump might be listening to the advice of his aides that the best he can do is stay out of the way. The unexpected show of temperance from Trump lasted about 12 hours.

By 8 a.m., Trump was tweeting his thoughts, calling the investigation "the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history" and complaining that no special counsel had been appointed to investigate "all of the illegal acts that took place in the liar-Clinton campaign & liar-nObama Administration." The New York Times reported senior White House adviser and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner had "urged the president to counterattack" rather than accept the special counsel.

And Trump seemed eager to counterattack. In a lunch with television news anchors, he said he believes the continued investigation is a "pure excuse for the Democrats having lost an election that they should have easily won because of the Electoral College being slanted so much in their way." Trump also said it "hurts our country terribly, because it shows we're a divided, mixed-up, not-unified country."

Perhaps. But the controversy leading up to the appointment of Mueller showed a divided, mixed-up White House. The mood within the administration is grim. Already understaffed and spread thin, the West Wing will now find itself under the unyielding magnifying glass of the FBI—and with a president who has little political clout to protect his staff. Aides already suspicious of their colleagues in this highly factional White House may start shutting down and lawyering up.

Ari Fleischer, the first press secretary for President George W. Bush, said a situation like this is "draining" for staff. "You go to the White House for the purpose of supporting the president and advancing his policy agenda, and it's a thrill," he said. "You're used to playing defense because you must. There's always something that goes wrong. But when it enters the realm of a legal investigation, it can become paralyzing."

The leak to the Times about Kushner's "counterattack" advice to Trump is "a perfect sign of a White House that is working against itself," Fleischer added.

The best thing for the White House and the president to do, Fleischer said, would be to ignore the special counsel's investigation altogether and turn their attention to the administration's policy agenda. "It's a test of the White House, it's a test of whether or not they can focus on policy, right the ship, and lead the government," he said. "If they can't focus on policy, what are they there for?"

The biggest threat to the administration's ability to focus on policy, beyond Trump's own inability to stay on message or keep his head down, would be a revolt from staff. The West Wing isn't close to mass walkouts yet, but some aides will be pushed in that direction by the pressure of the investigation. It doesn't help when the president undermines and muddles their work, as Trump did in revealing his premeditated reasons for firing James Comey, or puts them in potentially compromising positions, as he did with his national security adviser H. R. McMaster following the firestorm over his meeting with Russian officials.

So what does the president do? If the investigation continues to vex him, will he do the unthinkable and fire Mueller, Rosenstein, or anyone else supporting the special counsel's office? As with the sacking of Comey, this remains within Trump's rights. But ousting Mueller would drain his remaining political capital in Washington. It would sink the best opportunity for Trump and his team to be vindicated if there's been no wrongdoing, and it would further harden his opponents in their quest to drive him from office. If he did so before the 2018 midterm elections, it would compound whatever losses his party is already likely to take.

Republican senators certainly seemed wary of defending the president as the week came to a close. "I've grown less responsive to tweets," said Tennessee senator Bob Corker, usually a reliable Trump ally, before sliding into his car and heading back to Chattanooga. He'd already described the White House as in a "downward spiral" earlier in the week.

"We're a nation of laws," said Florida senator Marco Rubio. "A special counsel has been appointed, and I anticipate everyone is going to fully cooperate with it."

Lindsey Graham may have had the best advice for Trump. "If I were the president," he said, "I would stop tweeting about this investigation."

What Justice Alito Said Should Terrify
Every Christian in America
{totalconservative.com} ~ Delivering a commencement speech at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Pennsylvania last week, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito warned the graduates that they were heading out into an America much different from the one he grew up in... Alito left no doubt in the minds of the young men and women that religious freedom was a dying concept in today’s United States. “For most of my life, the American people have been united in their strong respect for religious liberty,” Alito said. “But recently, things have started to change. The idea that speech can be banned if it expresses an idea that is offensive is spreading around the country.” Of course, Alito’s prediction has already begun to materialize. Christian views on marriage are being marginalized as hate speech in mainstream America and it is no longer acceptable in “polite society” to even QUESTION the right of a man to marry another man. And that doesn’t touch on the legal consequences endured by business owners who refuse to be a part of gay wedding ceremonies. Bakeries, florists, T-shirt designers, and even farmers have been persecuted financially for opting out of these ceremonies as anti-discrimination laws are stretched beyond the breaking point... http://totalconservative.com/justice-alito-said-terrify-every-christian-america/

{
weeklystandard.com} ~ This week Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed a special counsel to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election. It was an important move, and one that President Donald Trump made unavoidable with his erratic and irresponsible behavior over the past fortnight.

It all began on May 9 when Trump fired FBI director James Comey. For two days, the White House misled the American public about how and why this dismissal took place. The White House emphasized Comey's handling of the probe into liar-nHillary Clinton's email server, which Rosenstein had reviewed and criticized in a memorandum for his boss, Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The attorney general, in turn, had recommended a change of leadership at the FBI. President Trump, his spokespeople insisted, was simply implementing this recommendation.

White House officials were working hard to create the impression that the decision to fire Comey had originated somewhere other than in the Oval Office. But the claim was false. The president had asked that the case against Comey be constructed to justify a decision he'd already made. Rosenstein later told the Senate that he'd known Comey would be fired even before he drafted his memorandum. In an interview with NBC News's Lester Holt on May 11, Trump acknowledged that the decision to fire Comey was his alone and one he was going to make without regard to what Rosenstein and Sessions recommended. "I was going to fire Comey," he said. "My decision."

On May 12, Trump threatened the ex-FBI director on Twitter: "James Comey better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!" With Trump, there's always the temptation to dismiss such outbursts as adolescent bluster. But he has a long history of surreptitious taping in his business career, and White House spokesman Sean Spicer refused to deny that Trump was recording Oval Office conversations when asked repeatedly about the possibility.

On May 15, the Washington Post reported that Trump had disclosed highly classified information in an Oval Office meeting with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov and the Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey Kislyak. The intelligence, related to the threat of ISIS-engineered explosives concealed in laptop computers, came from an ally and was allegedly shared without its permission. The White House at first categorically denied the claims, calling the story "as reported .  .  . false." But in public comments over the next 48 hours, officials confirmed many of the details.

On May 16, the New York Times reported that Comey had written official memos about each of his interactions with Trump. In one of them, describing a meeting with Trump in the Oval Office on February 14, Comey claims that Trump asked him to end the FBI's investigation of former national security adviser Michael Flynn. "I hope you can let this go," Trump told Comey. The White House has denied that this happened.

The next day, Rosenstein named former FBI director Robert Mueller special counsel for the investigation of "the Russian government's efforts to interfere in the 2016 election." The order allows Mueller to investigate "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."

The White House initially welcomed the news. "As I have stated many times," the president said in a press release, "a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know—there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity. I look forward to this matter concluding quickly." But by early Thursday morning, May 18, the worm had turned and Trump had taken to Twitter: "With all of the illegal acts that took place in the liar-Clinton campaign & liar-nObama Administration, there was never a special councel [sic] appointed!" And "This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!"

What to make of all this? There certainly is plenty to investigate. And the question of who should properly do the investigating is a knotty one, admitting of no simple answer. The liabilities of special prosecutors are well known and have been articulated in these pages on several occasions over the last two decades: Such investigations can spin out of control; prosecutors can feel undue pressure to seek scalps, so as to justify work that has stretched out for months or years; and so on.

Tampa PD: Angry Muslim convert KILLED ROOMMATES over disrespect to his faith

This is the human brain on Islam. Devon Arthurs converted to Islam, and it made him a traitor (note what he says about “my country” as opposed to the US) and a killer. Meanwhile, the enemedia and the Tampa PD will no doubt be quick to tell us he was “mentally ill,” and that this has nothing to do with the Religion of Peace. It never does.

“Tampa PD: Angry Muslim convert killed roommates over disrespect to his faith,” WFLA, May 22, 2017 (thanks to Norman):

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa police say a double homicide suspect told them he killed two roommates because they disrespected his Muslim faith.

( Muslims do not assimilate, they infiltrate! )

During an interview, 18-year-old Devon Arthurs admitted to the shooting deaths of Jeremy Himmelman and Andrew Oneschuk, and said they all used to be friends and shared neo-Nazi beliefs. Arthurs says he later converted to Muslim, and became angry with the world’s anti-Muslim sentiment. He told police he wanted to bring attention to his cause.

The double homicide happened Friday night on Amberly Drive in New Tampa.

Tampa police were called to the Green Planet Smoke Shop and say Arthurs was holding three people at gunpoint. According to the police report, Arthurs told them he killed someone and was upset over America bombing his Muslim countries.

When police showed up, they convinced Arthurs to let the hostages go and eventually handcuffed him.

The police report says Arthurs then made references to, “Allah Mohammed!” and told police, “I had to do it. This wouldn’t have had to happen if your country didn’t bomb my country.”…

Police found two men, later identified as Himmelman and Oneschuk, dead inside the apartment from gunshot wounds.

{dailycaller.com} ~ Judicial Watch’s President Tom Fitton is astounded: The Trump officials he finds working on Freedom of Information cases he files are still, typically, liar-nObama holdovers... Those holdovers, he told The Daily Caller News Foundation, are telling Judicial Watch it will be years before it can get former Secretary of State liar-Hillary Clinton’s emails. “Frankly,” Fitton told TheDCNF, “we should be waiting just a few months for them to get their act together.” Trump should take the point of view that the government belongs to Americans– and its agencies need to tell the people what they are up to, Fitton said. “If there is no good reason for withholding information, give it to them and give it to them quickly.”...http://dailycaller.com/2017/05/20/obama-holdouts-in-trump-administration-hiding-hillary-emails-for-years-video/?utm_source=WhatCountsEmail&utm_medium=TheDC%20Morning&utm_campaign=TheDC%20Weekend

North Korea launches another mid-range
ballistic missile, officials say
{foxnews.com} ~ U.S. and South Korean officials announced on Sunday that North Korea fired a medium-range missile, in the latest ballistics test for a country speeding up its development of nuclear weapons and missiles... U.S. Pacific Command said it tracked the missile until it landed into the sea. South Korea’s Office of Joint Chiefs of staff released a statement Sunday afternoon stating that the launch came from an area near Pukchang, in South Phyongan Province, and flew eastward about 310 miles.  The White House said it was aware that North Korea had launched a midrange ballistic missile...http://www.foxnews.com/world/2017/05/21/north-korea-launches-another-mid-range-ballistic-missile-officials-say.html

That was before he took on his official role as the lead smear merchant for the Russia hoax, enabled by his position as the ranking anti-American on the House Intelligence Committee. {thesleuthjournal.com} ~ Are you sick and tired of being betrayed by politicians that use the conservative label to get votes but then never actually act like conservatives once they get into office?... As a voter, this is something that has deeply frustrated me for decades. On the federal level, there are a few dozen true conservatives in Congress, and I am very thankful for them. In particular, Mark Meadows, Raul Labrador and other members of the Freedom Caucus are doing an outstanding job. But they are greatly outnumbered by a huge number of RINOs that have fooled conservatives into voting for them. In 2018, it is time for conservatives to say that enough is enough. If conservatives will work together, we can do extraordinary things. But we just can’t sit back and wait for someone else to do something... http://www.thesleuthjournal.com/really-need-conservative-revolution/

{rickwells.us} ~ In typical leftist cover up fashion, the New York Times reported on Saturday that “The Chinese government ‘systematically dismantled’ CIA spying operations in the country... starting in late 2010 and killed or imprisoned at least a dozen CIA sources over the next two years.” They go on to report that “10 current and former US officials described the intelligence breach as one of the worst in decades. They spoke on condition of anonymity.” Of course they did, citing individuals and relying upon facts to make your case is far too restrictive for the NYT. The fish wrapper of record NYT, in exploring the source of the possible leaks that identified the individuals, never once referenced the most likely culprit, their favored political candidate of 2016 and espionage queen, liar-Hillary Clinton. Liberals' misguided love affair with Islam

 by Minister Michael Brown
{wnd.com} ~ Why do so many liberals praise a religion that, at its root, is quite conservative, if not fundamentalist? Why do they defend a faith that would not defend them? Worse still, why do they defend a faith that, in some cases, would do violence to them?

Last week, Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch and a New York Times best-selling author on radical Islam, was invited to speak at the University of Buffalo. But he was unable to say much because of the vocal opposition. He was shouted down and reviled, especially when attempting to read Islamic texts describing Islamic beliefs.

To paraphrase, “Not on our campus! We are progressive. We are liberal. We are enlightened. You will not bring your hate-filled bigotry here!”

In Spencer’s own words, “I spoke a few sentences and made a couple of points in between being screamed at by leftist and Islamic supremacist fascists who think they’re opposing fascism.”

Did you catch that? Spencer was opposed by staunch liberals and staunch Muslims. What an odd couple they make, yet this has happened time and again in the recent past. Why?

A few years ago, I read about a pro-Hamas, anti-Israel rally led by feminists and LGBT activists, among others on the left. Why in the world would groups like this support Hamas, which would kill or imprison them for their beliefs and their sexual or romantic proclivities? And why would they oppose Israel, which would welcome them with open arms? I’m not talking about religious Jews, who would certainly not welcome them. I’m talking about the population as a whole, which is quite “progressive.” Note also that it wasn’t the ultra-Orthodox Jews who were fighting Hamas, so the rally was not targeting them.

This makes no sense, unless there is something deeper that unites these groups such as anti-Israel animus or a serious deception they are buying into such as the idea that true Islam is always a religion of peace and tolerance; in John Zmirak’s words, they are Islam’s “useful idiots”.

And why is it that the most liberal political leaders in the West are often the strongest defenders of Islam? Why are they constantly telling us that real Islam is neither radical nor violent?

Getting back to Robert Spencer not to be confused with the alt-right leader Richard Spencer, he has “led seminars on Islam and jihad for the FBI, the United States Central Command, United States Army Command and General Staff College, the U.S. Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group, the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), the Justice Department’s Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council and the U.S. intelligence community. He has discussed jihad, Islam, and terrorism at a workshop sponsored by the U.S. State Department and the German Foreign Ministry. He is a consultant with the Center for Security Policy and vice president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative.

“Spencer has appeared on the BBC, ABC News, CNN, Fox News’ ‘O’Reilly Factor,’ Megyn Kelly’s ‘The Kelly File,’ the Sean Hannity show,” among many, many others, which would lead one to believe that he was highly qualified to give an address on campus.

Not today. His allegedly bigoted views about a beautiful religion were not welcome. He is in violation of the progressive PC code, which includes, “Thou shalt not insult Islam.”

The University of Buffalo’s student newspaper reported, “Spencer planned to speak to students about ‘the dangers of jihad in today’s world’ but constant heckling from the crowd made it near impossible for him to complete a full sentence.”

Ah, the blissful beauty of tolerance! How mellifluous are its melodies. How sweet its sounds. Hardly.

Spencer wrote, “These students have been hoodwinked into thinking that ‘Islamophobes,’ rather than jihad terrorists, are killing people around the world.”

Yes, those are the really dangerous enemies, those “Islamophobes,” not those jihadi terrorists. And the enemies are not the Islamists who enforce a death penalty for “apostasy” meaning, leaving Islam. The enemies are the ones who call this barbarism out.

Spencer noted the biting irony of it all: “For example, one man held a sign that read ‘Queers Against Islamophobia.’ The crowd booed lustily when I attempted to read from Islamic authorities about Islam’s death penalty for homosexuality. Even to read from Islamic sources is hate, apparently, at the University at Buffalo – unless, of course, one endorses such penalties rather than oppose them.”

Yes, these days, if you expose something murderous or hateful, you are guilty of a worse sin – the sin of judging. And on campuses these days, there is hardly a worse sin you could commit.

I once spotted a comment responding to a YouTube video posted by a 12-year-old boy who opposed same-sex marriage, based on the Bible. The comment read: “You, just like everyone who is against gay marriage, is a mentally retarded bigot. No exceptions. Now go to hell.”

This is the voice of tolerance, the same voice that drowned out Spencer in Buffalo. And how interesting that “tolerance” reviles a 12-year-old boy who does not support same-sex “marriage” but then defends Islam that calls for a death-penalty for homosexual practice. How interesting that “tolerance” wants to silence Christians who peacefully oppose homosexual activism as well as silence those who draw attention to Islam’s violent opposition to homosexuality. What a laughable contradiction.

But this is no laughing matter. As Spencer noted, “By shutting down any discussion of the motivating ideology of the jihad threat and consigning it all to the realm of ‘hatred’ and ‘bigotry,’ the student mob at the University of Buffalo enables that threat to grow. One day, the leftists who screamed, heckled, and booed as I tried to speak may very well experience the consequences of their actions, carried out by those with whom they thought they stood in solidarity.”

Yes, let that mob try pulling off the same stunt in strict Islamic countries like Iran or Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan or in places like the Hamas-governed Gaza Strip, and let’s see how far they get. In fact, let’s see how far they get carrying a sign saying, “Queers Against Islamophobia.”

The left needs to end its naïve love affair with Islam. And may peace-loving Muslims help lead the way in working against radical Islam.

Built Upon a Lie

By Craig Andresen and Diane Sori / Right Side Patriots

Albert Einstein once said, “I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought,pol-1.jpg?width=199 but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones”and how right he is but not for the reason you might think.

Both modern Jewish and Christian beliefs still hold to traditions from the Old Testament in regards to creation with both great faiths believing that Adam was created from the dust and dirt by the hand of God. Also, Jews believe the place where Abraham was to sacrifice Isaac to God the Father and where Christians believe that Jesus was crucified is holy and sacred ground. And built upon this holiest of grounds is also where the First and Second Temples of the Jews were built, and where certain denominations of Christians believe the that Third Temple will arise and be the site of Jesus’ Second Coming and where Jews believe the messiah will first appear.

But what do these varied beliefs have as a common point of reference…simply…the land itself upon which these events did occur and which might possibly see holy events again occur in the future. And that land itself is known as The Temple Mount…an area of only thirty-five acres in the southwest corner of Jerusalem’s ‘Old City’…yet it is the most contested piece of land on Earth. And that contested land sits under…yes under…the Al-Asqa mosque (Masjid Al-Aqsa)…which in Arabic simply means the ‘farthest mosque.’

Minneapolis: 2 Muslims Arrested After Police Find Bomb-Making Materials, Weapons in SUV

It all started with a complaint over littering – and ended with two men arrested and the discovery of an arsenal of guns and bomb-making devices by Minneapolis police. Now, local authorities have flagged the arrests for review by the Department of Homeland Security.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS spoke with the man who called police to the scene. He asked us not to use his name because he doesn’t want any more attention than what he’s already received. He said he walked by a parked SUV near the intersection of North 44th Avenue and Humboldt Avenue North the evening of May 11 when he said he saw someone throw food wrappers out of a vehicle window onto the ground.

“My guardian angels steered me in that direction, and it just mushroomed from there,” the man said.

He said the two men in the car started fighting with him after he asked them to clean up the trash, and he paused to get the vehicle’s license plate number. The man said he called 911 after the men got out of the car and indicated they had guns.

“It caused me to be on alert,” he said. “What’s really going on here?”

Court documents reveal the responding officers found a hand grenade, handgun, assault rifles, magazines and a large quantity of ammunition inside the SUV. The documents also indicate officers found cellphones, computers and electronics equipment, including drone parts, which the bomb squad determined could be used to build a bomb.

“The more police showed up — and there were quite a few who showed up — the more it started to overwhelm me with the question of what’s really going on here,” the man said.

Abdullah N. Alrifahe, 27, is facing a felony charge for carrying a pistol in public without a permit. In December, he was convicted of the same offense.

The other man in the SUV, Majid Alrifahe, 26, is charged with assault and disorderly conduct. He has been released from jail. Our attempts to locate him at the address he gave police were unsuccessful.

We reached out to Homeland Security to ask about the department’s review of the arrests, but federal officials did not provide any more information about the case.

UK’s Independent pleads that nothing be done to stop jihad terror after Manchester massacre

“We’re not actually equipped to do that much at all, other than to try to carry on, to not allow ourselves to be terrorised, to stop living our lives.”

In reality, there is plenty that we can do. We can stop lying to ourselves and to each other about what is happening and why. We can stop electing politicians who perpetuate the policies that have gotten us into this fix. We can call the political and media elites to account and demand that they drop the politically correct obfuscation and speak honestly about the motivating ideology, nature and magnitude of this threat. And much more. But the Independent would rather keep you ignorant and complacent in the face of what is happening and what is to come. Just relax. And as the jihad machete slices through your own neck, just repeat to yourself, “At least I was never racist or Islamophobic.”

“There’s only one way Britain should respond to attacks such as Manchester. That is by carrying on exactly as before,” by Andrew Buncombe (oh, yes indeed, Buncombe it is), reporting from a safe distance in New York, Independent, May 23, 2017:

…Prime Minister Theresa May is to confer with Britain’s top security committee – a so-called Cobra meeting – on Tuesday morning. Her hope, and all of those who meet with her in the shadows of Whitehall, will be that this was a one-off incident, not the start of something even more horrible.

As Jeremey Corbyn offered his condolences, May said she was suspending her election campaign to deal with what had transpired. That is only right and correct.

But if the intention of those who commit acts of terror is to disrupt ordinary life, than the only possible response is not to let that happen. That is not to say police should not track down who was responsible for such vile murder. That is not to say the security services should step up their efforts to do all they can to stop a repeat of such slaughter.

Nor is it about what lots of Britons like to call the Dunkirk spirit, or about showing a stiff upper lip.

Rather, it is a merely an assessment of the options that are available to us, the ordinary people, those without superhuman powers.

We’re not actually equipped to do that much at all, other than to try to carry on, to not allow ourselves to be terrorised, to stop living our lives. And that means means continuing with the general election May felt obliged to call, or keep on buying tickets to see the likes of Ariana Grande.

If the horror that played out in the aftermath of the 23-year-old singer’s concert inspires us all to do that, then she would indeed deserve the name dangerous woman.

Brace yourself for jihad attack part two in the information battle-space, as jihad spox groups such as CAIR, ISNA, MSA, etc. take control of a sharia-compliant media and proselytize and lecture us on “fear of reprisals” and “backlashophobia” while clubbing us bloody with the mind-numbing manta that “Islam is peace.”

Strike terror into the hearts of the unbelievers (Quran 8:12)

Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them (Quran 8:12)

The Qur’an guarantees Paradise to those who “kill and are killed” for Allah (9:111)

Across dozens of pro-ISIS channels, we’re seeing celebration of this atrocity. They are hashtagging it #مانشستر which means #Manchester

Thanks to the feckless policies of the UK government and governments all over the West, that is undoubtedly true.

Moving On From Congressional Pedophiles: Now House IT Aides Suspected of Blackmailing Members With Their Own Data
May 23, 2017/by Luke Rosiak

Congressional technology aides are baffled that data-theft allegations against four former House IT workers — who were banned from the congressional network — have largely been ignored, and they fear the integrity of sensitive high-level information.

Imran Awan and three relatives were colleagues until police banned them from computer networks at the House of Representatives after suspicion the brothers accessed congressional computers without permission.

Five Capitol Hill technology aides told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group that members of Congress have displayed an inexplicable and intense loyalty towards the suspects who police say victimized them. The baffled aides wonder if the suspects are blackmailing representatives based on the contents of their emails and files, to which they had full access.

“I don’t know what they have, but they have something on someone. It’s been months at this point” with no arrests, said Pat Sowers, who has managed IT for several House offices for 12 years. “Something is rotten in Denmark.”

A manager at a tech-services company that works with Democratic House offices said he approached congressional offices, offering their services at one-fourth the price of Awan and his Pakistani brothers, but the members declined. At the time, he couldn’t understand why his offers were rejected but now he suspects the Awans exerted some type of leverage over members. Anti-Trump Leaks Are Against the Law. So Where’s the Investigation?

A lot of people even in the White House are leaking stories to hurt Donald Trump. Are they committing felonies? If the information they give to the media affects national security, then yes.

Disclosing classified information relating to U.S. or foreign communications intelligence activities is a felony. The leaker can go to prison for 10 years and be fined as well.

It May Still Be a Felony

But even if it doesn’t rise to that level, it may still be a felony. Federal employees can’t reveal confidential information to the press without permission. It’s considered theft to convey “any record, voucher, money, or thing of value of the United States or of any department or agency thereof.” It carries the same stiff penalty. Additionally, federal employees are generally subject to nondisclosure agreements.

Every presidential administration leaks. Sometimes the leakers rightly expose wrongful behavior. Many are protected by whistleblower laws. Look at Watergate.

What’s different now is the scope. The Washington Post ran an article on President Trump firing FBI Director James Comey based on “the private accounts of more than 30 officials at the White House, the Justice Department, the FBI and on Capitol Hill, as well as Trump confidants and other senior Republicans.”

Conservative writer Jonah Goldberg talked to reporters who say the leaks are in part due to the lack of experience of many working at the White House.

That may explain a few of the leaks. But for the most part, they seem “coordinated and timed” to hurt Trump. That’s what the administration believes. The Trump campaign sent an email to supporters entitled “SABOTAGE,” condemning the leaks. And in a tweet, the president complained that he’d been asking the FBI and others to investigate the leaks, apparently without success.

Some of the leaks may not even be leaks, but made-up stories to make the president look bad. Making false statements in the course of a federal investigation is a felony. Trump has tweeted that he believes the leaks rise to the level of crimes.

The Most Important Leaks

What are the most important leaks? First, the leaks after Trump fired FBI director James Comey. Some aides told the media that Trump did it to stop the FBI’s probe into the Trump campaign’s possible collusion with the Russians to influence the presidential election.

As a result, Congress stepped up its own probe into Trump, and pressure mounted to appoint an independent investigator. Trump agreed to appoint former FBI Director Robert Mueller for this task last week.

The second example is the leaks saying Trump had provided highly classified information about ISIS to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador to the U.S. The leaker gave the story to The Washington Post. He said it put an intelligence source at risk.

Yet that is merely the leaker’s opinion. Besides, Trump’s national security adviser H.R. McMaster (quoted in the story) said that he was in the meeting and Trump said nothing that wasn’t already public. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly,” he said.

Dina Powell, a deputy national security adviser, who was also at the meeting, said, “This story is false. The president only discussed the common threats that both countries faced.” Secretary of State Rex Tillerson explained, “During that exchange the nature of specific threats were discussed, but they did not discuss sources, methods or military operations.”

Trump defended his conversation on Twitter, “As President I wanted to share with Russia (at an openly scheduled W.H. meeting) I have the absolute right to do, facts pertaining to terrorism and airline flight safety.”

So, do you trust the leaker — who probably dislikes Trump and has an agenda to make the president look bad. Or do you trust Trump and the top-level officials around him who were at the meeting?

The New York Times confirmed that Israel was the source of the information. That means that if the leaker was correct about the seriousness of the information, he (or she) may have put national security at risk by revealing it.

Leaks About Michael Flynn

Former acting Attorney General Sally Yates is suspected of leaking classified information to the press regarding former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn lying to Vice President Mike Pence about talking to the Russian ambassador.

Again, releasing this information could jeopardize U.S.-Russian relations. If Russia believes its private conversations are going to be made public, it may be less willing to cooperate with the U.S.

Lack of Outrage Over Leaks

There hasn’t been much outrage over the leaks. Instead, the mainstream media, Congress and the FBI are focusing on the substance of the leaks. Concern is directed at whether Trump did anything wrong. So far, there has been no evidence Trump has. The leaks are compared to Watergate — but no evidence of Trump’s wrongdoing has emerged. Each new leak accuses the president of a different type of crime but nothing sticks.

The mainstream media seems so intent on taking Trump down that they risk running information that may be classified and harmful. While the laws against leaking don’t generally apply to journalists, journalists can be prosecuted for failing to reveal the source of the leak. Judith Miller spent 85 days in jail for refusing to divulge the source of the Valerie Plame leak, Scooter Libby. “They shouldn’t be allowed to use sources unless they use somebody’s name,” Trump said during a speech in February. “Let their name be put out there.”

There are three separate probes of Trump — by Congress, the FBI and the newly appointed special investigator Mueller. Shouldn’t there be at least one probe into the likely criminal leaks? So Where’s the Investigation?” please click HERE) http://joemiller.us/2017/05/anti-trump-leaks-are-against-the-law-so-wheres-the-investigation/

By Brian Mark Weber: If you're like most Americans who work hard all day, raise your children, pay your taxes, and follow the law, you're probably troubled by the evening news reports of a constitutional crisis over something President Donald Trump told former FBI Director James Comey. Sounds pretty ominous, doesn't it? Let's back up a little bit here and put this in perspective.
The Constitution stipulates that a president can be removed from office for "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." Our Founding Fathers knew that politics is a complex and nasty affair, but they entrusted future elected leaders to bring about such charges only in the most serious of situations.
Impeachment was never designed to be used as a political weapon, or to bring down an opposing president simply because there's a mechanism to do so. Thankfully, the impeachment process isn't easy. Nonetheless, just about every modern president has been threatened with impeachment.
Philip Wegmann writes in the Washington Examiner, "The last five presidents have been threatened with impeachment, and four of them actually had impeachment resolutions drawn up against them. In every instance but one, the talk was idle and the resolutions equally meaningless."
In most cases, there's no evidence to back up the accusations. Even when the process actually results in impeachment, as in the case of Bill liar-Clinton, conviction (and thus removal from office) is far from imminent. In fact, no president has been removed. Andrew Johnson was the only other to be impeached, but he was acquitted, and Richard Nixon resigned before he could be impeached.
Overall, it seems that the threshold for drawing up charges is lowered significantly when Republicans are in office. As Rush Limbaugh often says, when it comes to Republicans in the White House, it's the "seriousness of the charge," not the actual evidence, that gets Democrats banging the drums of impeachment.
Such is the case with Donald Trump. As liberal law professor Jonathan Turley opines in The Hill, "Some commentators seem to be alleging criminal conduct in office or calling for impeachment before Trump completed the words of his inaugural oath of office. Not surprising, within minutes of the New York Times report [on James Comey and Michael Flynn], the response was a chorus of breathless 'gotcha' announcements. But this memo is neither the Pentagon Papers nor the Watergate tapes. Indeed, it raises as many questions for Comey as it does Trump in terms of the alleged underlying conduct."
For Democrats, the shock to their system has been threefold: Donald Trump won the election, liar-Hillary Clinton somehow lost it, and the legacy of Barack liar-nObama is in tatters. Since the moment Trump was sworn in as president — no, since the moment liar-Hillary reluctantly conceded the election; scratch that, since he won the GOP nomination — the number one objective of Democrats and their Leftmedia allies has been to destroy him.
To Trump's opponents, the beauty is that no evidence is needed. When there is collusion between the press and the political class, any number of high crimes and misdemeanors can be dredged up. Since Watergate, every journalism student in America has dreamt of being the next Carl Bernstein or Bob Woodward, and the media in general yearn for another opportunity to bring down a Republican president.
Think about it. How many times did we read or hear journalists and reporters bringing up Watergate during the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush? Too many to recall. But when Barack liar-nObama surreptitiously shipped a plane load of ransom cash to the Iranians, used the Department of Justice to spy on reporters and their families, or paved the way for the IRS to trample the First Amendment rights of conservatives, it was considered business as usual. No questions asked.
So given the politics of all this talk of removing the president from office, and given that modern-day Republican presidents are routinely threatened with impeachment, the chances of the Republican House voting to do so are ridiculously small based on the evidence we have at the moment. Which is to say, none.
Still, Democrats know full well it's not evidence they need to bring down Trump's presidency. All they need is to get the American public to believe something sordid has happened, and then weak-kneed Republicans on Capitol Hill will fall all over themselves to appear forthright and cooperative.
Don't believe it? Democrats are poised to poll Americans to see if they're falling for the impeachment scam. And we're already hearing the name Joe Lieberman being mentioned as a serious candidate to replace Comey at the FBI.
All Trump's opponents have is an anonymous source claiming that the president asked Comey to stop investigating Michael Flynn — the day after Flynn was fired, by the way. That might be a serious charge, except Comey himself testified under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 3 that no one in the administration ever pressured him to end an investigation.
It doesn't take a constitutional scholar to see there's no obstruction of justice here. There's no treason, no bribery, no high crimes and no misdemeanors. Those all did indeed occur during the liar-nObama years, except Republicans were too worried about being called racists to protect the Constitution they swore an oath to defend.
Remember Bush Derangement Syndrome? What we have here is a full-on case of psychosis. And that's just among the mainstream media.
So when you're watching the news and you hear about Donald Trump's latest threat to our constitutional republic, take a deep breath and wait for the evidence. And wait. And wait. Democrats want you to think there's an impeachable crime so they won't have to honor the results of a legitimate election. But in order to overturn that election, they need to convince enough of us that the president is a criminal. Now that's a high crime.

{rickwells.us} ~ Tucker Carlson notes that Professor Alan Dershowitz asks a question that nobody else has asked, “What’s the crime to which this special counsel is responding?”... Dershowitz states he voted for liar-Clinton and somehow did so very proudly, evidence that he’s not politically motivated to make his positions known but is doing so based upon respect for and the preservation of American civil liberties. He supports construing statutes narrowly, as they were written, saying, “I just don’t see a crime here. I see perhaps some political wrongdoing. I see leaking information on both sides. But even if, for example, the campaign coordinated, which there’s no evidence of, but coordinated its activities with Russia, and even if Russia and the campaign said, ‘Gee, wouldn’t it be better if Trump were elected,’ that’s political wrongdoing but it’s just not a crime.” Dershowitz continues, “Nobody can point me to a statute that would be violated and a prosecutor is only allowed to look for evidence of a federal crime...http://rickwells.us/dershowitz-no-trump-obstruction-justice-see-crime/

{danielpipes.org} ~ This is the idea that the "peace process" has turned into a "war process" and that the solution to the Palestinian-Israeli confrontation lies not in more painful concessions by Israel but, to the contrary, by Israel imposing its will on its enemy and crushing the Palestinian dream to eliminate the Jewish state... Washington should encourage its Israeli ally in this. Ironically, losing is the best thing that could happen to the Palestinians, for it liberates from a destructive obsession and allows them to begin on constructing their own polity, economy, society, and culture. To advance this idea, the Middle East Forum, the organization I head, has worked with members of the U.S. House of Representatives to launch a Congressional Israel Victory Caucus (CIVC) to lobby the president. Sherman hails CIVC as "an initiative of critical importance with genuine paradigmatic game-changing potential."...http://www.danielpipes.org/17594/palestinian-statehood-is-acceptable-eventually?utm_source=Middle+East+Forum&utm_campaign=e5f27ca35e-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_05_21&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_086cfd423c-e5f27ca35e-33703665

{
townhall.com} ~ A Harvard study published May 18 reveals what thoughtful Americans already knew: Extreme anti-Trump bias runs rampant in corporate media. The study found that CNN, CBS, and NBC produced more than 90 percent negative coverage during Trump’s first 100 days, followed by the New York Times at 87 percent, and the Washington Post, 83 percent. Only Fox News offered close to balanced coverage with 52 percent negative coverage.

That explains why the week was filled with over-the-top reporting about President Trump sharing sensitive intelligence with Russian officials visiting the White House. Reportedly, the disclosure included information that ISIS has developed a way to mask bombs inside laptop computers that can slip undetected through airport screening.

Russia is a lot of things, but in the case of ISIS, Russia in our ally.

The overdramatic hype about Trump doing what every president before him has done to share information with an ally to prevent a terror attack is a head-scratcher to those who recall the events of September 11, 2001 as a bad thing.

We are aware of these details thanks to an agenda-driven media lacking discretion and leakers lacking a conscience. Who in their right mind would leak to the public information that burns intelligence sources? It’s obvious there is no longer an ethical code by which most of the press abides.

Those whispering secrets to the wind do so for a reason.

Given the unprecedented volume of leaks and the liar-nObama administration’s lack of integrity, someone should re-sweep the White House for bugs.

If it is “treasonous” for the president to share information to protect lives with an ally behind White House closed doors, then what shall we call it when a blabbermouth leaks this sensitive information to media organizations, which in turn proverbially broadcasts it with a bullhorn?

This is not about the First Amendment; we’re talking about discretion.

It’s also about intent. If anonymous sources are not authorized to speak publicly about intelligence matters but share them with the media, we should focus on prosecuting both the leaker and culpable media.

At the very least, fed-up Americans should cancel subscriptions to the Washington Post and New York Times and stop watching news channels that care more about destroying the president than they do about protecting American lives.

Sure, Trump’s methods might be questionable, but what’s not in dispute is his pure-hearted desire to keep Americans safe.

The same media in full throttle to destroy Donald Trump performed journalistic backflips to protect the proverbial WikiLeaks of all presidential administrations, the liar-nObama administration, which sprung so many leaks even Flex Seal wouldn’t help.

Leaks such as the time the liar-nObama administration put a proverbial target on Navy SEAL Team 6 operators’ backs when it leaked key operational details about the Osama bin Laden raid, blabbing about SEAL Team 6’s participation. To this day, family members blame the liar-nObama administration for what they believe was retaliation when the Taliban later downed a helicopter in Afghanistan which killed 30 soldiers, including 15 SEAL Team 6 members.

In 2012, liar-nObama leaked sensitive details about an “underwear-bombing” plot and the mission was forced to a stand still because of that leak, which former House Intelligence Committee chairman Mike Rogers suggested was utilized to generate positive press and boost liar-nObama’s reelection chances.

The media also snoozed as the pantsuit queen they pre-crowned as president was caught transporting classified emails on an illegal server hidden in a bathroom. It was “nothing to see here” even when evidence unfolded about a complex scheme to conceal or destroy emails and burn or hide potentially damning daily calendar entries.

Every administration has intelligence leaks. The current leaks are due to a convoluted effort intended to hurt President Trump, while liar-nObama’s leaks were about making him look good. What they have in common is the press involvement which ends up potentially endangering human life.

{jihadwatch.org} ~ The Islamic State considers Ismailis apostates, and the Sharia punishment for apostasy is death. But you won’t hear much about Muslim-on-Muslim violence committed in the name of Islam from the mainstream media... The media wants to give the impression that it about us versus them (i.e., Westerners unfairly picking on Muslims). A leading Muslim group and many Muslims, meanwhile, were reportedly angered by a British documentary that dared to ask the question, “how Islamic is Islamic State?” A Newsweek report offers some insight: “When It Comes to Beheadings, ISIS Has Nothing Over Saudi Arabia”: the world’s most self-consciously Islamic state behaves in a manner very much like that of…the Islamic State. {townhall.com} ~
K.T. McFarland has been nominated by President Trump to be the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore. McFarland currently serves as an assistant to the President and National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster. She also worked under Michael Flynn before he was fired earlier this year.

“I am pleased to nominate K.T. McFarland to be Ambassador to Singapore, one of America’s great allies,” President Trump said in a statement. "While I am sorry to lose her, K.T.’s work in developing policies that put American interests first will have a lasting impact. She will remain an essential team member as she fulfills this new and important role.”

“K.T. provided essential and steadfast leadership during this transition,” McMaster added. ”She initiated and laid the foundation of the first strategic policy reviews that the NSC will continue to build upon. K.T. is leaving a great team in place to support the President, and our friends in Singapore know they are getting one of his top aides as their American ambassador.”

Before joining the administration, McFarland worked as a national security analyst for Fox News. McFarland also served in the Reagan, Nixon and Ford administrations.

”It’s been an incredible experience to serve here in the White House during his early months in office, and now I’m looking forward to implementing his policy with one of our key allies in Asia.  I wish all my colleagues the very best, especially Lieutenant General McMaster, and I look forward to continuing to coordinate closely with them from my new perch in Singapore," McFarland said.

Saudi King breaks longstanding Islamic sharia tradition for Melania Trump

As Melania Trump set foot on Saudi soil, the king shook her hand, a gesture that shattered Muslim traditions in which men do not shake the hands of women. The 81-year-old king appeared at the airport in Riyadh to welcome the Trumps, and cast custom to the winds as he did so.

Inquisitr  The king not only extended his hand to President Trump but also to the first lady. This is a nation where shaking a woman’s hand is virtually unheard of. Ivanka Trump and her husband also accompanied her father and Melania on this trip, and the king’s hand was extended to Ivanka as well as Melania.
