I received a message from a group calling themselves, "the Tea Party". They claimed that the Tea Party is supporting that phoney negro, Ben Carson.

America DOES NOT need a new African Presidential Dynasty. Nearly 80% of the country is white. The democrats control the republicans. Do they control the Tea Party too?

One black dictator is too much. Not again!

How many Tea Parties are there ? Does THISTea Party support Carson?

German party lifts requirement for Muslim students to visit concentration camps

Seriously, who needs it more than young Muslims … in Germany? Who needs to see and understand the reality of Jew-hatred than those who are taught to hate Jews?

“German party lifts requirement for Muslim students to visit concentration camps,” Jerusalem Post, May 28, 2015

The decision was made even after anti-Semitism has become rampant among young German Muslims.

UN: 22,000 fighters from 100 countries in waging jihad in Syria and Iraq

The number climbs exponentially every month, and having tracked these developments from the onset of these bloody holy wars, this UN number certainly is underestimated. Doctors, students, rich, black, white, educated — the only common thread is Islam.

Foreign fighters means the USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, etc.

Once these Muslims abandoned their home countries and their citizenship, they should never be allowed back in. These battle-hardened jihadists will wreak havoc upon their return.

Check out the interview I did with Dom Giordano on CBS radio:

“American Freedom Defense Initiative Pres. On Muhammad Cartoons: If We Surrender Now, Freedom Of Speech Is A Relic,”  CBS Philadelphia, May 27, 2015

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Pamela Geller, President of American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), spoke with Talk Radio 1210 WPHT midday host Dom Giordano about her organization’s new campaign to have cartoon depictions of the Prophet Muhammad on buses in Washington, D.C.
Geller says those who have fears about violence from outraged extremists who feel Muhammad should not be depicted should realize that these are very recent tactics, and that Muhammad has been drawn for the past 1,400 years without issue.

Pamela Geller, Breitbart: What Qasim Rashid Doesn’t Want You to Know About Islam

Qasim Rashid is a one-man cottage industry of deception and hypocrisy, and Salon, that yellow rag of smear and hate, is only too happy to regularly publish Rashid’s unholy propaganda, never allowing Rashid’s targets to respond or correct. This is how the enemedia rolls.

As Robert Spencer rightly points out: “Rashid has whitewashed Muhammad’s support for tortureand the reality of jihad violence and Sharia oppression; dissembled about the Qur’an’s sanction of deception of unbelievers; lied about the presence of violent passages in the Qur’an; lied about the Qur’an’s sanction of beating disobedient women; lied about the nature of Sharia; and called for limitations on the freedom of speech and expression...

Dems call on Obama to resettle 65,000 Syrian refugees

The only refugees we should be resettling from this war torn region are Christians. Instead, the US stands by while they are ethnically cleansed from their ancient homelands. This will forever be a bloody stain on an anti-American, anti-freedom, jihad-aligned Presidency.

Newly Revealed Bin Laden Documents Reveal Extent of Jew-Hatred as Motivating Factor for Islamic Attacks

Chuck Schumer

A black liberal columnist made the point in his article that the future of the GOP rests on it getting rid of its conservatives.  Then, the GOP can modernize; attract more young voters of color by embracing open borders, amnesty, abortion and all the other filth coming out of the Democratic Party. Embracing this strategy is tantamount to embracing evil.

Many consultants and sadly, GOP politicians concur with the columnist's strategy. In essence, we are being told that the only way the GOP can win future elections is to embrace an anti-God and anti-righteous agenda. I can not and will not embrace this vile defeatist lie.

Democrats with mainstream media support have successfully branded the GOP as the party of “mean”. The truth is for decades the Democratic Party leadership has been the greatest dispensers of evil in America; hating morality while trashing all things wholesome and good.

As a matter of fact, the only behavior Democrats believe to be immoral causing them to respond with visceral hate is conservative, Republican and/or Christian.

Infected with depravity, everything coming out of the Democratic Party is rooted in lies and political deception. They assault us daily with new attempts to repeal our God-given freedoms and force their anti-God agenda down our throats. This “ain't” my dad's Democratic Party. When did the Democratic Party leadership sell it's soul to the devil?

The Bible speaks of “spiritual wickedness in high places.” Evil oozes from the pores and orifices of the Democratic Party from Obama, to their probable 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, to all their creepy minions.

Less you forget, looking America in the eye, Obama lied on over 29 occasions promising, “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it!”  Cancer patients lost their lifesaving doctors.  That's evil folks.

Picture this folks. In the background was the flag-draped coffin of Mrs. Smith's son who was killed in the attack on our consulate in Benghazi. Hillary (then Secretary of State) looked the grieving mother in the eye and vowed to punish the SOB who made a video that angered Muslims, causing the death of her son. Meanwhile emails reveal that Hillary was lying because she knew the attack had nothing to do with a video. An Al Qaeda group planned the attack to commemorate 9/11.  Hillary is a lying sociopath.

The Administration's lie that an anti-Muslim video caused the attack was to protect Obama's lie that terrorism is no longer a threat. Protecting their narrative at all cost, the Administration ignored Ambassador Stevens plead for added security. Ambassador Stevens and other Americans were abandoned and killed in the Benghazi attack.  That's evil folks.

When it comes to winning a political battle, the Democrats consider no tactic too evil. To ensure that kids with cancer would get their meds during the government shutdown, Republicans proposed a mini-spending bill. Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid blocked voting on the bill. Reid wanted the public to think Republicans don't care about sick kids. When a reporter asked Reid about allowing the vote for the sake of the kids, Reid replied, “Why would I want to do that?"  This man is evil folks.

Here's more Obama minion evil. Acting more like an activist than Baltimore's State Attorney, Marilyn Mosby irresponsibly charged police officers in the Freddy Gray case; outrageously charging one with murder.

Recently indicted, the six Baltimore police officers (three blacks and three whites) have been thrown on the alter, sacrificed for Obama's scheme to federalize (control and liberalize) all of our nation's police departments. The Baltimore six and other police officers assassinated by black thugs who believe the Left's lie that cops routinely murder them are acceptable collateral damage in Obama's quest to become America's top cop.  That's evil folks.

The Democrats callously view every disaster, accident or whatever as an opportunity to exploit for political purposes. Democrat Corrine Brown despicably tried to blame the tragic Amtrak crash on Republicans.  The inconvenient truth is the engineer was going twice the train's speed limit at the turn. This did not stop Brown from ranting about evil Republicans being the blame. Brown exploited the deaths of over 7 passengers. That's evil folks.

Before the Infants Protection Act, medical professionals were legally obligated to discard babies who miraculously survived abortions. Babies were placed in store rooms to die. Protecting his political aspirations, when he was an Illinois senator, Obama rejected the Born Alive Infants Protection Act three times to ensure himself the radical feminist vote.  That is bone chillingly evil folks.

The Left has the most perverse definition of morality and honor. Democrat Wendy Davis was heralded for her filibustering to give women the right to murder their baby all the way up to birth. Yes, you read correctly, to birth!  How evil is that?

Totally controlled by Democrats for 50 years, the Baltimore riots perfectly illustrate the devastating cost in pain and suffering from Democrat self-serving policies and programs.

Imagine a homeless man awaking one morning hungry, believing he has no money to buy food. His buddy sees a $100 bill sticking out of the man's back pocket placed there by a generous pedestrian while the man was asleep. And yet, the buddy does not alert his friend of his good fortune. Democrats have betrayed blacks in the same way. They have convinced blacks that they are poor victims, while the truth is blacks are rich with opportunity; blessed to live in the greatest land of opportunity on the planet for all who choose to go for it. Insidiously evil folks.

These items are only the tip of the iceberg of evil spewing out of the Democratic Party, wrecking havoc on our great nation that experts say the GOP must emulate to survive. God forbid.

The Democratic Party leadership is evil incarnate; always appealing to American's lower nature – celebrating what is bad – showing disdain for what is good. The Democratic Party leadership must be defeated; not pandered to or negotiated with.

Folks, taking the popular evil road with the Democrats will ultimately lead to destruction. To restore and save America, we must take the right road less traveled. “Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good.” Romans 12:9.

Conservatives must appeal to Americans' higher nature, touting education, hard work and the joy of personal achievement. Jesus said “My sheep hear my voice...” (John 10:27)

Lets go for the gold folks. After all, we are Americans!

Chairman, Conservative Campaign Committee

Obama Amnesty Suffers Another Stinging Rebuke

The Obama administration’s legal woes continued on Tuesday after government lawyers failed to convince a federal appeals court to overturn a temporary injunction against executive amnesty issued by U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen. In February, Hanen blocked the first phase of the Deferred Action for Parental Accountability program and reaffirmed his decision in April partly because government lawyers misled the court, granting work permits to 100,000 illegals before the executive action was temporarily blocked. Two of the three judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit — Jerry Smith and Jennifer Walker Elrod — “found that the states had sufficient legal grounds to bring the lawsuit and that the administration had not shown that it would be harmed if the injunction remained in place and the programs were further delayed,” The New York Times reports. Tuesday’s ruling isn’t a final verdict — the case could eventually make it to the Supreme Court — but the administration is now 0-for-2, and it’s looking likelier it will strike out. Obama spokesman Brandi Hoffine responded to the decision by insisting they know the Constitution better than anyone, saying Judges Smith and Elrod “chose to misinterpret the facts and the law in denying the government’s request for a stay.” If that’s the case, how do Democrats expand this nugget from The Washington Post? “Obama’s second-term agenda, it seems, is in the hands of the courts. Same-sex marriage. Obamacare. Climate change. And now immigration. And in many cases, there is significant doubt about whether his signature initiatives will stand legal scrutiny.” Tell us again who “chose to misinterpret the facts and the law”?

IRS Data Breach Leaves Tax Info of 100K in Hackers' Hands

Using the service to request former tax returns and filings from the IRS, a group of hackers stole confidential information on over 100,000 taxpayers. Using the information, the hackers can file false tax returns, stealing directly from the American taxpayer. “Eighty percent of the identity theft we’re dealing with and refund fraud is related to organized crime here and around the world,” IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said. “These are extremely sophisticated criminals with access to a tremendous amount of data.” It’s easy to see that the agency is running damage control. It’s not saying if the hackers were foreign or domestic, and Koskinen said people filing fraudulent tax returns only netted $50 million this year. However, the IRS gave identity thieves $5.8 billion in 2013. As Hot Air’s Mary Katharine Ham notes, only 6% of Americans believe the U.S. government does a good job protecting their information. With this news, we guess the IRS will get a budget boost in the next few months — whether it needs it or not. More…

Now’s a Good Time to Develop a Strategy Against ISIL

With the fall of Ramadi, it may be a good time for the Obama administration to pause, take a step back and reconsider what it has tried and what that has done against ISIL. On Sunday, Defense Secretary Ashton Carter blamed the fall of the strategic city on the Iraqi army. “The Iraqi forces just showed no will to fight,” Carter said on CNN. “They were not outnumbered. In fact they vastly outnumbered the opposing force and yet they failed to fight and withdrew from the site. … We can give them training, we can give them equipment. We obviously can’t give them the will to fight.” Meanwhile, it appears the U.S. has the equipment, but it too doesn’t have the will to fight. The New York Times reports that U.S. planes only fly 15 strikes a day against ISIL, compared to the 800 flown every day during the 2003 Iraq War. Furthermore, only during one out of four flights does the pilot fire munitions. Part of this is due to concern that any civilian deaths would translate into propaganda for ISIL. Part of the hesitation is because the pilots cannot rely on soldiers on the ground pointing out targets and delineating allies. There’s plenty for Carter and the rest of the Obama administration to consider. How about sending arms and training to the Kurds? Or sending more U.S. troops to spot U.S. airstrikes? More…

FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

GOP, Prepare for SCOTUS’s ObamaCare Ruling

By Jim Harrington

2015-05-27-bd7a5fe4_large.jpg

If the Supreme Court rules against the “Affordable” Care Act in King v. Burwell sometime in late June, it could leave the act in deep water, or it could leave Republicans with the dilemma of fixing a problem they didn’t create. So says conventional wisdom.

SCOTUSblog.com writer Amy Howe discusses the case: “There are three key parts to the ACA. The first is the ‘non-discrimination’ rule… The second is the individual mandate, which the Court upheld three years ago… Third, because everyone has to buy insurance, there are tax subsidies to make sure that lower- and middle-income Americans can afford to comply with the individual mandate by buying insurance.”

David King is the primary plaintiff in King v. Burwell. He and three other Virginians, for their own reasons, decided they did not want to buy insurance. Virginia, incidentally, joined the federal marketplace, and King has insurance that would cost him $648 per month, but with his subsidy, costs $275. His suit was tossed out of a lower court, but with the help of the American Enterprise Institute he got a writ of certiorari, and he and his fellow plaintiffs' case was picked up by the Supreme Court.

The fight is about four words — “established by the State” — just a few found in the 2,700-pageact.

Now pundits and party operatives are scrambling to figure out what will be the outcome if the plaintiffs win or lose. Popular opinion sides with Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, a health care reporter for the Associated Press, who thinks it’s “Republicans — not White House officials — who have been talking about damage control. A likely reason: Twenty-six of the 34 states … most affected by the ruling have Republican governors, and 22 of the 24 GOP Senate seats up in 2016 are in those states.”

He cites Sandy Praeger — a Republican — saying the fallout of SCOTUS striking down the law will be “ugly.” Praeger said, “People who are reasonably healthy would just drop coverage. Only the unhealthy would keep buying health care. It would really exacerbate the problem of the cost of health insurance.”

Alonso-Zaldivar also cites a crucial issue: This decision is “bad timing.” Governments' fiscal years are ending, and state legislatures are readying their summer recesses. Arranging a quick fix would be very difficult, and Obama will veto any Republican bill.

But New Yorker staff writer Jeffrey Toobin sees it differently. If the plaintiffs win, 13 million people in 34 states will be profoundly affected. “[I]t’s likely that most of them will no longer be able to afford their insurance,” he says. Toobin then paraphrases Colin Powell’s Pottery Barn axiom. (Many of us know it as: You break it, you bought it.)

Toobin writes, “Obama will have broken health care, so he owns it. To the vast mass of Americans who follow politics casually or not at all, Obamacare and the American system of health care have become virtually synonymous … The scope of the Affordable Care Act is so vast, and its effects so pervasive … if millions lose insurance, they will hold it against Obamacare, and against Obama.”

But one problem Toobin ignores is the Democrats' twin propaganda mills — the schools and the media. Republicans will have to toughen up for this popularity contest.

How did four words undo the greatest legislation in America? According to The New York Times, there were two different Senate committees working on writing the law. Now for some excuses:

“I don’t ever recall any distinction between federal and state exchanges in terms of the availability of subsidies.” —former Republican Sen. Olympia J. Snowe

“As far as I know, it escaped everyone’s attention, or it would have been deleted.” —former Democrat Sen. Jeff Bingaman

“I remember meeting after meeting in which we went through the language of the legislation line by line. I do not recall any discussion of a distinction between federal and state exchanges for the purpose of subsidies.” —Robert D. Greenawalt, former senior tax advisor to Sen. Harry Reid

Obviously, we have trouble with members reading “line by line.” We know there wasn’t a handful in Congress that even read the bill before it passed. Oh, that’s right! Republicans didn’t get a chance to. This is a classic study of Big Government’s incompetence and corruption.

However SCOTUS decides, Obama will still be in the driver’s seat. With his veto pen in hand, he can keep Republicans at bay.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Stephen Moore: “Earlier this month the Illinois Supreme Court overturned a state law that would help fix the state’s notorious pension crisis. … Illinois has one of the deepest public employee pension holes in the nation. The long-term deficit is estimated at above $110 billion and the red ink rises every year. Even in California — where several cities have declared bankruptcy — the pension sink hole isn’t as deep on a per capita basis. … Thanks to this ruling, there is no way out of the pension calamity absent a repeal of the pension clause in the Illinois Constitution. The state can’t borrow — it already has the worst credit rating in the nation. It has to borrow less — not more. … If courts won’t allow states to trim pension costs, eventually states like Illinois will rush to Washington for federal bailout money. With more than $1 trillion in unfunded public pensions nationwide, Illinois is looking like the canary in the coal mine. What a tragedy if courts in other states prevent legislatures from defusing these fiscal time bombs.”

Besides removing supposed temptations to idolatry, Islamic jihadists want to ruin the artifacts of non-Muslim civilizations because doing so testifies to the truth of Islam, as the Qur’an suggests that ruins are a sign of Allah’s punishment of those who rejected his truth: Many were the Ways of Life that have passed away before you: […]

Cleveland Settles With DOJ Over Policing Investigation
It's become a trend in cases involving police shootings: While the individual officer is let off the hook for using lethal force and sparking protests in the community, the Department of Justice usually finds something wrong with the larger department. Cleveland has reached a settlement with the DOJ after the agency accused the city's finest of engaging in patterns of "unreasonable and unnecessary use of force," including tasing and punching handcuffed suspects. The investigation was launched after a 2012 car chase involving 100 police officers ended with officer Michael Brelo standing on the roof of the Chevy Malibu used to flee from the police and firing 15 times into the vehicle. On Saturday, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge John O'Donnell found Brelo not guilty of killing the two suspects because it was not clear if it was Brelo's rounds that killed them. When issuing his verdict, O'Donnell said, "Guilty or not guilty, the verdict should be no cause for a civilized society to celebrate or riot." Still, on Saturday night, some protestors grew violent and 71 were arrested. It just goes to show that improvements still need to be made before we can have a civilized society. More...  -The Patriot Post

House Considers Fast-Tracking nObama's Pacific Trade Deal
In the coming days, members of the House will decide whether Congress should fast-track approving nObama's trade deal with Pacific countries, or whether to defend its constitutional role of advisor when the U.S. enters into treaties. Already, 48 Republicans and 14 Democrats in the Senate approved fast-track legislation Friday, a move that would only give the legislative body the ability to approve the treaty with a yes-no vote. While everyone from nObama to the GOP leadership agrees that a trade deal is needed and beneficial (especially because of China's growing aggression in the South China Sea), lawmakers question the way it's coming about. Rep. Jim Jordan said, "I'm concerned about giving this president the authority" to be the sole person negotiating deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Furthermore, the House is the young blood of the lawmaking body, as only 55 members were around when Congress deliberated over the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1993. Members in office because of the 2014 Republican wave should remember they are in office because voters wanted change, not nObama's status quo.

 Another Holiday Regulatory Dump
Friday was the dawn of a holiday weekend, which could mean only one thing: Time for another big regulatory release from the nObama administration. It wasn't exactly a Friday news dump, as it came outThursday, but, as The Hill points out, "The White House is notorious for releasing its Unified Agenda on the cusp of a holiday when most people are headed out of town to celebrate the long weekend. The release of the spring 2015 edition was no exception, coming one day before the long Memorial Day weekend." According to The Daily Signal, there are 136 significant rules in this release: "These include an Environmental Protection Agency rule tightening already-tight carbon emission regulations for power plants, Food and Drug Administration regulations for all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and cigars, and new Consumer Product Safety Commission safety standards for off-road vehicles." The cost of Barack nObama's enormous regulatory burden is a serious drag on the economy. In fact, compliance costs nearly $15,000 per American household, but it's a cost that's more easily hidden than taxes. Still, it's no wonder nObama likes to bury regulation releases just before a holiday.  -The Patriot Post

Emails Cast More Guilt on Clinton and nObama
On Friday, the State Department made public some 300 messages from Hilly Clinton's email collection pertaining to Libya and the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi terrorist attack that left Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead. The Friday afternoon document dump was no doubt timed with the long weekend in hopes that the information contained in these emails would be downplayed in the holiday shuffle.
Fortunately, no such luck. The Benghazi attack and the cover-ups and stonewalling by the nObama administration and presidential candidate Clinton have made this particular embarrassment hard to bury. Despite the best efforts of the administration and its minions in the media, the hunger for more information at this point seems insatiable.
The batch of emails released last week shed a little bit of light on questions that the House Select Committee on Benghazi has been asking since it was formed in May 2014. A number of emails released from Clinton's once-private collection include information about growing concerns over the deteriorating security situation in Libya going back to April 2011. In fact, Stevens, who at the time was an envoy, voiced concerns about safety.
"The situation in [the Libyan town of] Ajdabiyah has worsened to the point where Stevens is considering departure from Benghazi," states an April 10, 2011, message. "The envoy's delegation is currently doing a phased checkout."
Stevens ultimately stayed in Libya, but his concerns and the concerns of CIA analysts ultimately fell on deaf ears.

Clinton Foundation Donor Records Tell a Shocking Story

Ashton Carter Equates nObama With Cowardly Iraqi Military
(rickwells.us) - The reason the most powerful military on the planet is losing to a ragtag, satanic horde of subhumans armed with knives, guns and laptops is simple and was revealed by Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter on CNN “State of the Union” on Sunday... Carter said that’s what happens when you have no will to fight. It’s not always a matter of fighting ability, armaments, numbers or strategy. The enemy has the will to win and our political “leadership” does not. That was not the admission of Secretary Carter directly; that the nObama regime itself is the reason America is losing, although the facts speak loudly for themselves. They were comments he made regarding the failure of the Iraqi forces to succeed against ISIS in Ramadi, and it’s a critique and logic which can be applied with equal veracity to the efforts of the nObama regime in fighting this war or, pretending to fight it. Carter noted that in spite of having ISIS vastly outnumbered, and having sufficient equipment to fully engage and defeat ISIS in Ramadi, the Iraqi army did little more than operate as a delivery service for tanks and heavy weaponry to our enemy, leaving them in the field of battle as they immediately retreated.       http://rickwells.us/defense-secretary-ashton-carter-inadvertently-equates-obama-with-cowardly-iraqi-military/

Jeff Sessions would run for president, because I would sign up in a heartbeat.” Democratic Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon set the stage for Sessions’s speech by lauding nObamatrade as “the most progressive trade policy in our country’s history” because it regulates much more than just trade: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/05/sen_sessions_explains_obamatrade_in_key_senate_speech.html

Woodward Shoots Down Story That Bush Lied to Get U.S. in Iraq War
(Dave Urbanski) - Legendary journalist Bob Woodward shot down the notion that President George W. Bush lied to get America involved in the Iraq War in 2003 — and strongly implied President nObama didn’t make the right call by ordering the U.S. troop pullout... Appearing on Fox News Sunday, the Washington Post icon and bestselling author noted that Bush made mistakes leading up to the war — but came down hard on the “line” saying Bush lied. “I spent 18 months looking at how Bush decided to invade Iraq … lots of mistakes, but it was Bush telling George Tenet the CIA director, ‘Don’t let anyone stretch the case on WMD.’ And he was the one who was skeptical,” Woodward told host Chris Wallace.       http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/05/24/bob-woodward-shoots-down-story-that-bush-lied-to-get-u-s-in-iraq-war-implies-obama-troop-pullout-was-wrong-move/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Firewire&utm_campaign=Firewire%20-%20HORIZON%205-25-15%20FINAL

 How Anti-Israel Incitement Backfires
(Khaled Abu Toameh) - Various Palestinian groups have also recruited women and children to harass the Jewish visitors and any police officers accompanying them. The women, who are hailed as Murabitat("the Steadfast"), have one main mission... to harass the Jewish visitors. They claim that their chief goal is to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque against Jewish "aggression." Some of the women receive monthly salaries of up to 1500 shekels (about $400) to try and block the Jewish visitors. But now those who have been inciting against Jewish visitors have fallen victim to their own campaign. Palestinian and Jordanian officials who recently visited the Temple Mount received a firsthand lesson in what incitement can lead to. The officials themselves have fallen victim to hecklers who shouted profanities at them and forced them to flee the holy site. The latest victim was Sheikh Ahmed Helayel, the Chief Islamic Judge of Jordan, who arrived at the Aqsa Mosque last Friday at the head of a leading Jordanian government delegation that also consisted of the kingdom's Minister of Wakf Affairs.       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5813/temple-mount-incitement

Baltimore & Beyond
Burt_Header_M2.jpg
.
(burtprelutsky.com) - Afew readers have taken me to task for blaming Larry Hogan, the Republican governor of Maryland, along with Baltimore’s Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, for not allowing the National Guard to prevent the mob from committing arson, vandalism and theft. I was aware that it was the mayor’s order for the Guard to stand down and to allow the thugs to destroy other people’s property without fear of confrontation.
.
However, what I can’t accept is that Gov. Hogan didn’t have the authority to go over her pointy head. After all, it’s the Maryland National Guard, not the Baltimore National Guard. If he currently lacks the authority, he should make certain he gets it because I can guarantee that he’ll need it sooner or later. And if justice manages to prevail and the six cops go free, it will be sooner.
.
It wasn’t that long ago that just about everyone shared the same attitude when it came to mobs. But ever since urban blacks and Muslims have taken on this aura of sainthood, more and more people seem reluctant to speak honestly about their multitude of sins and failings.
.
These days, the language police have even decided that “thugs” is code for “niggers.” (Sorry, folks, but I don’t engage in baby talk, and I regard using “the n-word” to be nothing more than political cowardice passing itself off as good manners. It’s just a word, after all, and so long as it’s not directed at an individual, it’s neither obscene nor insulting.)
.
Furthermore, “thugs” is not a synonym for blacks, unless, of course, they happen to be engaged in thuggish behavior. But as thuggery has become more and more the norm in the inner-cities of America, I’m afraid the word is here to stay.
.
One sidebar to the events in Baltimore is that Toya Graham, who warmed all our hearts by whacking the daylights out of her teenage son, would be facing child abuse charges if she had been a white woman, as white women and fathers all over America have discovered if they so much as gave their kid a well-deserved smack on his bottom.
.
♦ Speaking of kids, there is now a group that is waging a campaign to give children, ages 5 to 12, the right to decide if they’re boys or girls, and by what name they wish to be called. This loony transgender fad has now moved into very dangerous territory. It’s one thing for a fool like Bruce Jenner to decide in his 60s that he’s dying to use the lady’s room and be called Jennie. But leaving it up to pre-pubescent kids to determine their own gender identity is lunacy raised to new heights. Imagine asking an eight-year-old tomboy, who envies boys their freedom to climb trees and play football, if she’d like to be a boy and be called Harry!
.
♦ Moving on, I can’t get over how many pundits are taking aim at Pamela Geller, blaming her and not the Muslim converts for the jihadist attack in Garland, Texas. She wasn’t, after all, the one who showed up to massacre hundreds of Americans for no other reason than that they were exercising their First Amendment right – and I might add, God-given responsibility – to ridicule the schmucks sworn to kill us.
.
Voltaire famously said: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” But in the wake of Muslims butchering those who display the appropriate contempt for the blood-thirsty pedophile who founded their religion, we see millions of our countrymen defending the Islamo-fascists right to alter the wording to read: “I disapprove of what you say, and I’ll cut out your tongue if you say it.”
.
Considering that the two freaks were killed and nobody else was harmed in Garland, I would like to see a series of sting operations take place around the country, gulling Islamists to show up at similar events, only to be greeted by a hail of police bullets.
.
My only regret is that the cartoon that won the $10,000 prize was not replicated on the front page of every newspaper in America. For one thing, it exemplifies the cowardice of the media. For another, unlike the childish scrawls published in France by Charlie Hebdo, Bosch Fawstin’s work was first-rate. It depicted a snarling Muhammad coming straight at you with his sword raised, but with the hands of the artist holding a pencil, putting the finishing touches on Muhammad’s robes. Muhammad is shouting “You can’t draw me!” with the cartoonist replying in a little dialogue balloon, “That’s why I draw you.”
,
It is worth noting that Mr. Fawstin is not only a fine artist, but he is a former Muslim.
.
♦ We keep hearing about the sad plight of Iraqis and Syrians being forced to flee their homes in the wake of ISIS attacks. I, for one, will start worrying about them when the Islamic refugees stop tossing their Christian countrymen off the boats headed to Italy. Good luck to Italy having to deal with these savages.
.
♦ A prerequisite for too many college students must be Liberal Logic 101. How else can they see millions of people sneaking into our country and degrading our sovereignty and still insist that it is our moral duty to not only unite these interlopers with the wives and children they left behind, but to feed, clothe, house and provide them with health care?
.
Now, like most conservatives, I believe in keeping families intact. But, unlike liberals or dunces like Jeb Bush, my approach would be to quickly return them to their loved ones…and to shoot them if they try it again.
.
♦ When I recently wrote that it is inexcusable that the feds have never gone after such criminal enterprises as the Crips and the Bloods the way they went after the Mafia, a reader suggested it was because we can’t get blacks to infiltrate the gangs, either because of racial solidarity or fear of reprisal. To which I replied, “You could be right, except that a lot of the cases brought against the Mafia didn’t rely on law-abiding people testifying. They often built cases on the testimony of 'soldiers' who faced long prison terms and were plea-bargained into testifying against the mob bosses in order to save their own bacon.
.
“I suspect that just as Clinton pulled our troops out of Somalia because he didn’t want the 6 o’clock news to show our soldiers killing black people, our own cops, mayors and the Justice Department, don’t wish to be seen hauling hundreds of young blacks and Hispanics out of the hood and the barrio.”
.
♦ Another reader took conservatives to task for raising conspiracy fears over the military drills known as Jade Helm 15 due to take place this summer in several southwest cities. I replied: “I am not a conspiracy nut, but even I can’t understand why these drills can’t take place on military bases. And while I don’t believe for a second that the U.S. military would ever betray the oath they took to defend the nation and the Constitution, after six years of nObama, Americans have every reason to regard paranoia as a perfectly rational state of mind."
.
♦ To a reader who explained that he never goes to the movies because he can’t stand the liberal hypocrites who infest Hollywood, and refuses to spend his money and make them even richer than they already are, I wrote “If a movie is worthwhile, it’s worthwhile. Besides, even though Hollywood is full of self-important hypocrites, it is also full of hard-working conservative costumers, make-up artists, technicians and stuntmen, who despise the actors, writers, directors and producers, even more than you do because they actually have to work with them.”
.
♦ Finally, when I look at the black barbarians who are constantly turning our cities into swamps and jungles, and the politicians and journalists who delight in defending them, I am reminded of my favorite bumper sticker: “We should have picked our own damn cotton!”
.

The Obama regime, including treasonous 2016 hopeful…then Secretary of State…Hillary knew-1.jpg?width=232Clinton knew that the attack on our mission in Benghazi, on September 11th, 2012 was indeed a planned terrorist attack…that it had been planned ten days in advance and that it had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with a vague, little seen You Tube video when they, the Obama regime and Hillary Clinton told us all otherwise.

That has been the focus of analysis garnered from the documents obtained by Judicial Watch via a FOIA lawsuit that took two years to be answered but, I suggest there is much more to be learned from those pages of redacted documents that what we already knew.

For instance…

As stated in the report…“The attack was planned ten or more days prior on approximately 01 September 2012. The intention was to attack the consulate and to kill as many Americans as possible to seek revenge for U.S. killing of Aboyahiye ((ALALIBY)) in Pakistan and in memorial of the 11 September 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center buildings.”

So, it was no coincidence, as the Obama regime and Hillary claimed, that the attack took place on September 11th and it was not a “spontaneous” event drummed up by thugs in the street as a response to that now infamous You Tube video. But that is not the most startling piece of information to be discovered in the documents obtained by Judicial Watch.

There is this bit which should send chills down the spines of mainstream media…if indeed the invertebrates had spines at all…

TPP, Amnesty Charades Prove Americans Have No Representation
(rickwells.us) - What if the communists were further along in their admitted objective of capturing America from within than was widely suspected or being reported? Isn’t that exactly how it’s believed and feared it will happen, that we’ll just suddenly wake up one day and the communists will officially be in charge?... Surely nobody expects them to be sending out monthly progress reports through George Stephanopoulos. They would want to avoid creating too much public awareness until it’s too late for us to stop them, an easy task with this American public. In W. Cleon Skousen’s book The Naked Communist, he listed 45 “goals of the communist takeover of America,” which were read into the Congressional Record in 1963. Number fifteen was “Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.” The Democrat Party has obviously already been transformed into a Marxist front organization, identifying themselves as “progressives,” which is merely a sanitized synonym for “socialist.” An expert on the subject, Vladimir Lenin said, “The goal of socialism is communism.”       http://rickwells.us/two-party-system-a-marxist-mirage-tpp-amnesty-charades-prove-americans-have-no-representation/

Emails Prove Hilly Responsible for Murder of Americans in Benghazi
(gopthedailydose.com) - The 2015 Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Oklahoma, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under President George W. Bush, John Bolton, said former Secretary of State Hilly Clinton is “responsible for the tragedy of the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans,” in the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi Libya... He continued, “Now you’ll recall in her limited public appearances to date that she has said, you know, I don’t get involved in that security stuff, you know, I have people that do that. Well I have to say when I heard that I was stunned. I’ve worked for six different secretaries of state, everyone of them coming from very different backgrounds, every one of them cared about the safety of the Americans who worked for them in the State Department. And not one of them would have missed the danger that our diplomats in Libya faced. And this was called to her attention repeatedly and she didn’t do anything about it. So When we ask the question, who is responsible for the tragedy of the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi, there is a very clear answer. It was Hilly Clinton.” He added, “She said she didn’t know the security situation in Libya , these documents alone, these are the first documents, it’s only going to get worse after this, after the other documents come out, but these documents alone, we know she was advised repeatedly about how dangerous it was.”       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/23/watch-released-emails-prove-hillary-responsible-for-murder-of-americans-in-benghazi/

Your nObamacare premiums are going up. Way up in some cases
(Jazz Shaw) - The “Affordable” Care Act may be looking for a new name in the near future. As Fox News and the Wall Street Journal are reporting, the next round of health care premium cost adjustments are coming down the pike, and you’ll never guess where things are heading. Okay… you probably guessed already. Not all of the states are looking at rate increases in that range. Some of them are “only” going to be asking for increases in the ten percent range. But the direction is still consistent, and it isn’t down. You may recall that during the entire debate in the run up to the passage of nObamacare we were assured that one of the overarching purposes of the legislation was to halt the skyrocketing cost of health insurance, as well as making sure that more people could afford it. We were told this tale by Nancy Pulosi, though she later seemed to have forgotten saying it. Later, the message was fine tuned a bit and we were told that costs would not rise as quickly. One can only imagine what health insurance would cost in New Mexico without this legislation since they’re looking at a more than fifty percent jump in a single year.       http://hotair.com/archives/2015/05/23/no-biggie-your-obamacare-premiums-are-going-up-way-up-in-some-cases/

A Strange Question Rand Paul Asked Hilly 2 Years Ago
(teapartypolitics.com) - It was back in January of 2013 when Hilly Clinton first sat in front of a special committee to address the tragic occurrences in Benghazi... Though it’s long been suspected she and her boss lied about their knowledge of the attack, it wasn’t until the watchdog organization Judicial Watch sued to obtain emails did we find out for sure they lied. One of the Senators who knew something was afoot was Senator Rand Paul.        http://teapartypolitics.com/a-strange-queston-rand-paul-asked-hillary-2-years-ago-was-proven-right-today/

Media Duped in Snowden and Paul’s Anti-NSA Campaign
(Cliff Kincaid) - With the help of the major media, Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky and his allies in the ACLU and other left-wing groups were on the verge last week of denying the United States a vital tool that could prevent another 9/11 terrorist attack... The decision of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell of Kentucky to put off a vote until next Sunday has given the country a chance to understand the stakes and review the grossly distorted coverage of what the Patriot Act has meant to those charged with stopping terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. McCon-nell says that what President nObama and Senator Rand Paul are proposing as an alternative to the government’s collection of metadata, the so-called USA Freedom Act, is an “untried—and as of yet, non-existent—bulk-collection system” that “would be slower and more cumbersome than the one that currently helps keep us safe.” The senator added, “At worst, it might not work at all due to—among many other problems—the lack of a requirement for telecommunications providers to retain the data to begin with.”        http://www.aim.org/aim-column/media-duped-in-snowden-and-pauls-anti-nsa-campaign/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email052515&utm_medium=email

ISIS executes over 200 of its own fighters
(hemuslimissue.wordpress.com) - The BasNews report isn’t the first time ISIS has reportedly killed its own fighters. In December 2014, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a human rights group based in Britain that monitors ISIS operations in Iraq and Syria, claimed ISIS killed as many as 200 of its own fighters for trying to flee the battlefield, the Independentreported...  “We can confirm that 120 fighters have been killed by ISIS, but from our sources on the ground we believe that over 200 have actually been killed,” said Rami Abdurrahman, director of the human rights group. Another 56 ISIS members were executed in January by the militant group after they were defeated in battle in Kober, in northern Iraq, according to al Arabiya. The executions took place after 300 ISIS members were killed in battles with the peshmerga south of Erbil. Oh, excellent. Keep killing more of them.     https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2015/05/25/isis-executes-over-200-of-its-own-fighters/

nObama, Pope Francis Lying And Dictating To America – Obey...
(rickwells.us) - Mass manipulation [pun intended] of the uneducated and misinformed as well as a wretched abuse of power will be on display for all the world to see as the Marxist agitator disguised as a religious leader, Pope Francis, acts in a most blatantly inappropriate political manner... In league with his communist comrade Hussein nObama, Francis will soon issue an edict intended to force the United States into global wealth redistribution and the first official steps towards submission to a global government under the United Nations. A report by AP warns us to expect attacks through all of the customary religious methodologies – prayer   vigils, pilgrimages, policy briefings, seminars and sermons, anything that will serve to stir emotion over reason, allowing the false teachings of Francis to increase pressure against the United States to submit to his global extortion. Francis, who is apparently fancies himself to be as qualified in climate science and meteorology as he is in theology, is busily preparing an encyclical for release the end of June. It will be a brainwashing document disguised as a teaching tool, intended to persuadethe world that man, not God, controls the Earth and that we have the power and must act to prevent nature from doing what it has done since time began, changing on its own.        http://rickwells.us/obama-pope-francis-lying-and-dictating-to-america-obey-pay-and-worship-the-earth-altar-boys/

Maglite’s Tony Maglica:
Torchbearer of the American Dream
Michelle Malkin
(freedomsback.com) - In our home, we try to instill a life lesson for our kids best summed up in Latin: Nihil boni sine labore. It means, “Nothing good achieved without hard work.” Few people I’ve met in my lifetime embody this motto better and more brilliantly than Tony Maglica, inventor of the iconic Maglite flashlight.
.     The spry 84-year-old founder and CEO of Mag Instrument still traverses his 450,000-square-foot factory floor dozens of times over the course of his 12-hour workday, six days a week, beginning at the crack of dawn and ending after most of his 800 employees have clocked out. I visited his Ontario, Calif., headquarters while doing research for my new book, “Who Built That: Awe-Inspiring Stories of American Tinkerpreneurs.”
.     Born on the tiny island of Zlarin off the coast of Croatia, Maglica came here determined to make something of himself. His first job was sewing piecework in a sweatshop at 50 cents an hour. He worked hard to assimilate, teaching himself English from a dictionary. With his wife and young child in tow, the ambitious 20-year-old tinkerer packed up a rusted, bald-tired 1947 Studebaker and headed West.
.     In Denver, he found employment as a machinist, but aroused the ire of union shop leaders who complained when he completed more pieces than his colleagues or skipped his mandated breaks. “Why were they so angry that I wanted to work? I came here to work!” Tony exclaimed to me. He packed up and headed with his family to California, where the promise of $3-an-hour jobs beckoned. In 1955, he rented a tiny garage in working-class South El Monte, whose motto is “City of Achievement,” to do contract machinery work.
.     “This is where it all started,” Tony showed me, pointing to an old black-and-white photo of a shed with bars on its narrow window slits. He scraped together $125 as a down payment on the $1,000 machinery. The superior quality of Tony’s precision tool work on U.S. missiles and satellites won him several loyal aerospace and defense clients. Tony worked harder, faster and longer than other contractors to get a job done. He slept in the garage on his workbench to meet deadlines.
.     Tony innovated and patented improvements on precision tool devices and incorporated Mag Instrument in 1974. While fulfilling orders for a long-defunct flashlight parts manufacturer, a proverbial bulb flashed in Tony’s head. Before he came along, flashlights were ugly, flimsy objects. They were called “flash lights” because the carbon filament bulbs were inefficient and could not produce a steady stream of light. Dissatisfied with the state of flashlight design, Tony innovated a strong, sleek torch of anodized aluminum, which resists corrosion inside and out. He crafted self-cleaning contacts, “a push button switch instead of a slide switch, and an adjustable beam, so you could go from flood to spotlight.” The torch’s three seams are sealed with O-rings for water resistance.
.     U.S. Patent 4,286,311, filed by Tony in 1978 and approved by the Patent Office in August 1981, ushered in a new age of heavy, rugged flashlights with powerful beams used by police officers, firefighters and other first responders who tell jaw-dropping stories of how their Maglites saved lives. Consumers embraced his products as household necessities, too. Admirers dubbed his torch “engineered light” and a “work of art that works.” An unapologetic guardian of his intellectual property rights, Maglite has spent more than $100 million battling infringers. The company has never lost a lawsuit.
.     From Day One, Tony vowed to manufacture products that were 100-percent American. Tony doesn’t just build flashlights in America. He builds many of the machines that build those flashlights. “Politicians always talk about supporting American manufacturing. I have done it,” Tony told me.
.     “Government doesn’t innovate. People like me do. Government doesn’t create jobs. We do.”
.     When Mag Instrument needed a certain battery clip, it refused to import the part from China. Tony designed his own clip and spent $1 million tooling up his plant to manufacture the parts in-house and in-country. Maglite defiantly refuses to outsource workers because “it would offend against his faith in the American free-enterprise system, and against the spirit of giving back. Mr. Maglica knows that Mag Instrument got where it is by being an American company.”
.     The owner of 200 other patents, Tony the tireless tinkerpreneur showed me an empty lab room where he had been developing new, revolutionary incandescent bulb parts. The machinery is dormant. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency forbade him from producing the bulbs in the wake of the government’s incandescent bulb ban. He had planned to hire more workers to make the new products. Those plans are off. “That was such a shame,” Tony told me. “Such a waste.” But he remains undaunted and undeterred in pursuit of the American Dream.
.     Unlike the golfer in chief at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue who mocks wealthy capitalists as “society’s lottery winners,” Tony hasn’t taken a vacation in more than a decade and doesn’t plan to anytime soon: “As long as I’m alive, I will never give up.”
.     For the self-made makers and builders of America, it’s a lifelong creed: Nihil boni sine labore.

THE FOUNDATION

“[A]ll speculative politicians will agree, that the happiness of society is the end of government, as all divines and moral philosophers will agree that the happiness of the individual is the end of man. From this principle it will follow that the form of government which communicates ease, comfort, security, or, in one word, happiness, to the greatest numbers of persons, and in the greatest degree, is the best.” —John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776

Cleveland Settles With DOJ Over Policing Investigation

It’s become a trend in cases involving police shootings: While the individual officer is let off the hook for using lethal force and sparking protests in the community, the Department of Justice usually finds something wrong with the larger department. Cleveland has reached a settlementwith the DOJ after the agency accused the city’s finest of engaging in patterns of “unreasonable and unnecessary use of force,” including tasing and punching handcuffed suspects. The investigation was launched after a 2012 car chase involving 100 police officers ended with officer Michael Brelo standing on the roof of the Chevy Malibu used to flee from the police and firing 15 times into the vehicle. On Saturday, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge John O'Donnell found Brelo not guilty of killing the two suspects because it was not clear if it was Brelo’s rounds that killed them. When issuing his verdict, O'Donnell said, “Guilty or not guilty, the verdict should be no cause for a civilized society to celebrate or riot.” Still, on Saturday night, some protestors grew violent and 71 were arrested. It just goes to show that improvements still need to be made before we can have a civilized society. More…

House Considers Fast-Tracking Obama’s Pacific Trade Deal

In the coming days, members of the House will decide whether Congress should fast-track approving Obama’s trade deal with Pacific countries, or whether to defend its constitutional role of advisor when the U.S. enters into treaties. Already, 48 Republicans and 14 Democrats in the Senate approved fast-track legislation Friday, a move that would only give the legislative body the ability to approve the treaty with a yes-no vote. While everyone from Obama to the GOP leadership agrees that a trade deal is needed and beneficial (especially because of China’s growing aggression in the South China Sea), lawmakers question the way it’s coming about. Rep. Jim Jordan said, “I’m concerned about giving this president the authority” to be the sole person negotiating deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Furthermore, the House is the young blood of the lawmaking body, as only 55 members were around when Congress deliberated over the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1993. Members in office because of the 2014 Republican wave should remember they are in office because voters wanted change, not Obama’s status quo.

Another Holiday Regulatory Dump

Friday was the dawn of a holiday weekend, which could mean only one thing: Time for another big regulatory release from the Obama administration. It wasn’t exactly a Friday news dump, as it came out Thursday, but, as The Hill points out, “The White House is notorious for releasing its Unified Agenda on the cusp of a holiday when most people are headed out of town to celebrate the long weekend. The release of the spring 2015 edition was no exception, coming one day before the long Memorial Day weekend.” According to The Daily Signal, there are 136 significant rules in this release: “These include an Environmental Protection Agency rule tightening already-tight carbon emission regulations for power plants, Food and Drug Administration regulations for all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and cigars, and new Consumer Product Safety Commission safety standards for off-road vehicles.” The cost of Barack Obama’s enormous regulatory burden is a serious drag on the economy. In fact, compliance costs nearly $15,000 per American household, but it’s a cost that’s more easily hidden than taxes. Still, it’s no wonder Obama likes to bury regulation releases just before a holiday.

Emails Cast More Guilt on Clinton and Obama

By Lewis Morris

2015-05-26-a5c378bf_large.jpgBarack Obama and Hillary Clinton attend the Transfer of Remains ceremony for the four Americans who died in the Benghazi attack Sept. 14, 2012.

On Friday, the State Department made public some 300 messages from Hillary Clinton’s email collection pertaining to Libya and the Sept.

The Benghazi attack and the cover-ups and stonewalling by the Obama administration and presidential candidate Clinton have made this particular embarrassment hard to bury. Despite the best efforts of the administration and its minions in the media, the hunger for more information at this point seems insatiable.

The batch of emails released last week shed a little bit of light on questions that the House Select Committee on Benghazi has been asking since it was formed in May 2014. A number of emails released from Clinton’s once-private collection include information about growing concerns over the deteriorating security situation in Libya going back to April 2011. In fact, Stevens, who at the time was an envoy, voiced concerns about safety.

“The situation in [the Libyan town of] Ajdabiyah has worsened to the point where Stevens is considering departure from Benghazi,” states an April 10, 2011, message. “The envoy’s delegation is currently doing a phased checkout.”

Stevens ultimately stayed in Libya, but his concerns and the concerns of CIA analysts ultimately fell on deaf ears.

Other information drawn from the emails include communications between Clinton and her team in the days following the attack, speech preparation, updates on press coverage, even coverage of how then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney was speaking on the issue.

The emails released by the State Department that used to live on Clinton’s private server raise more questions than they answer, which helps ensure this issue will not go away soon. Several gaps in the timeline are evident, which leave open questions about Clinton’s role and input in shaping Libyan policy post-Qaddafi, how State was dealing with growing instability in the country, and the thought process that went into extending the Benghazi mission in early 2012.

Administration stonewalling on Benghazi is bad enough, but the fact the whole matter is tied in to how Clinton mismanaged her emails makes the issue that much worse.

Clinton’s now-famous private email server was politically motivated because she wanted to keep her work from the prying eyes of the “vast Right wing conspiracy.” Instead, she invested in a private server that was hacked at least once and was not nearly as secure as the government server that she was lawfully required to use for classified materials. Apparently, protecting data from the GOP was more important than protecting it from the Russians or the Chinese.

Clinton claimed two months ago that she never broke the law in maintaining her own private server. In Clinton-speak that is true — kind of. Documents related to Benghazi that have recently been reclassified as secret were not secret when they existed on her server. But they were certainly sensitive; otherwise there would be no need for the reclassification. Yet, there is no hard and fast rule that bars Clinton from storing sensitive documents on her server.

There are also different email addresses that Clinton herself used on her server, possibly to help categorize which topic or issue she was addressing. This is just a theory so far. Not enough emails have been released to detect such a pattern. Yet, it is clear that not only was the server itself politically motivated, but how she dealt with the information on that server was politically motivated as well.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), chairman of the Benghazi committee, put some perspective on Friday’s email release. “More than six months after the Select Committee first discovered Secretary Clinton’s unusual email arrangement with herself … State Department transferred 300 messages exclusively reviewed and released by her own lawyers. To assume a self-selected public record is complete, when no one with a duty or responsibility to the public had the ability to take part in the selection … strains credulity.”

Of course, the partisan wheels continue to turn despite Gowdy’s logical skepticism. Committee Ranking Member Elijah Cummings (D-MD) issued his own statement praising Clinton for being so forthcoming. “The American people can now read all of these emails and see for themselves that they contain no evidence to back up claims that … Republicans have made for years.”

So, according to Cummings, now that we have access to the slightest fraction of 50,000 emails that have been thus-far out of reach from the public record, we can plainly see that there is no smoking gun — therefore we should leave Hillary Clinton alone and elect her emperor president already.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Linda Chavez: “Yes, [Freddie] Gray’s life mattered. Black lives matter, as protesters remind us following every such incident involving the death of a black man at the hands of police. But so, too, should the 87 black lives (and 13 others) lost on the streets of Baltimore this year. By focusing almost all of our national attention on the horrific death of one black victim while in police custody, we avoid the larger problem of violence within the black community. Worse, by making the police out to be the greatest threat to the black community, we risk allowing criminals to go unchallenged within those communities. Justice for Freddie Gray would best be served by better policing in the neighborhood where he lived — not by less policing.”

SHORT CUTS

The Gipper: “In America, our origins matter less than our destination, and that is what democracy is all about.”

Demo-gogues: “This may be the first Memorial Day since the end of our war in Afghanistan. But we are acutely aware, as we speak, our men and women in uniform still stand watch and still serve, and still sacrifice around the world. Several years ago, we had more than 100,000 troops in Afghanistan. Today, fewer than 10,000 troops remain on a mission to train and assist Afghan forces. We’ll continue to bring them home and reduce our forces further, down to an embassy presence by the end of next year.” —Barack Obama

The BIG Lie: “I can say that no U.S. President, no administration has done more to ensure that Israel can protect itself than this one.” —Barack Obama

The annals of the absurd: “[Stopping ISIL’s momentum is] an enormous challenge. And we have to fight it on every front, including the front of social media. That’s a place where they have really made more advances than you would have suspected. And that is where we have to fight them, as well.” —Nancy Pelosi

Non Compos Mentis: “When you have people denying [science], and how we all got here, it’s offensive to me intellectually. And I happen to think it’s unpatriotic. Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution says the government shall ‘promote the progress of science and useful arts.’ So if you’re a politician looking to derail the progress of science, I think you’re not doing your job.” —Bill Nye (Context means everything, right? Importantly, the rest of the quote from Article I, Section 8 reads, “…by securing for limited times to authors and inventors the exclusive right to their respective writings and discoveries.” No wonder Nye left that part out.)

Coptic Christians protest against the killings of people during clashes in Cairo between Christian protesters and military police, and what the demonstrators say is persecution of Christians, in Los Angeles, California October 16, 2011. Egyptians detained in connection with clashes between Christian protesters and military police that left 25 people dead should be tried in civilian not military courts, presidential candidate Mohamed ElBaradei said on Sunday. The former U.N. diplomat's comments reflect public frustration at the army's handling of clashes on Oct. 9, when protesters said they were attacked by unidentified "thugs" and then said military police used excessive force against them. The authorities have detained 28 people on suspicion of attacking soldiers during the protest. Trials will be held before a military court.  Dispute over Mideast nuclear arms ban torpedoes UN conference
(Louis Charbonneau) - UNITED NATIONS: A month-long review conference on the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty ended in failure on Friday after its members were unable to overcome disagreements on an atomic weapons ban for the Middle East, which the United States blamed on Egypt... After four weeks of negotiations at the United Nations on ways to improve compliance with the pact, there was no consensus among its 191 signatories. U.S. Under Secretary of State Rose Gottemoeller announced there was "no agreement" and accused some countries of undermining the negotiations. Gottemoeller did not say which nations had tried to "cynically manipulate" the conference, though she accused Egypt and other Arab states of bringing "unrealistic and unworkable conditions" to the negotiations.       http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/dispute-over-mideast/1866754.html

43 dead in hours-long firefight on Mexican ranch
(foxnews.com) - At least 43 people died Friday in what authorities described as a fierce, three-hour gun battle between federal forces and suspected drug gang gunmen on a ranch in western Mexico, the deadliest such confrontation in recent memory... All the dead were suspected criminals except for one federal police officer, National Security Commissioner Monte Alejandro Rubido said. He said the officer died trying to help a colleague wounded in the shootout. Photographs from the scene showed bodies, some with semi-automatic rifles and others without weapons, lying in fields, near farm equipment and on a blood-stained patio strewn with clothes, mattresses and sleeping bags. Video obtained by The Associated Press showed federal police coming under fire and bodies strewn throughout a ranch.       http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/05/23/43-dead-in-hours-long-firefight-on-mexican-ranch/?intcmp=latestnews

DC Synagogue Pres. nObama Delivered Nothing But Empty Words
(Jeff Dunetz) - President nObama visited the friendly confines of liberal Adas Israel Synagogue in Washington, D.C. on Friday and delivered a speech meant to reach out to the Jewish Community and other supporters of Israel... His two themes were that Israel should support the deal with Iran, and that he criticizes Israel harshly in public because he loves it so much. Forgetting for a moment that his stake could not be bigger than the people living in Israel who would be the first target of a nuclear Iran, the president ignores the fact that many observers believe that the Iran deal does nothing to stop Iran's nuclear program, and that the elements of the deal as he described has been disputed by America's partners the P+5 negotiations (Including Russia, China and France), as well as Iran. The president also forgot to mention that it is not only Israel objecting to the deal but some of our Arab allies were so upset at the framework deal and the direction of the talks that their leaders refused to join President nObama for the recent conference at Camp David.       http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2015/05/president-obama-delivers-nothing-but.html?utm_source=The+Lid+List&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=1a4d81a754-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_term=0_597b72c01c-1a4d81a754-291705165&goal=0_597b72c01c-1a4d81a754-291705165

 "This Guy is Bonkers!"
(Mark Steyn) - HUGH HEWITT:  Did you see..? Ramadi not only fell, but the Jihadists have pushed out something like 10 kilometers beyond that. It appears as though Baghdad is encircled...
MARK STEYN: Yeah, I mean, it's incredible... The United States adopted a strategy that cannot win - these desultory, ineffectual airstrikes. It cannot win. So it embarked on a war that it could only lose. So this time last year when ISIS took Mosul, that was when America's back was turned. Then America assembled this 60 nation coalition and ISIS took Ramadi. So, in other words, instead of just rampaging in to a barren bit of territory, ISIS will be able to claim they defeated the Great Satan. And insofar as anybody reverses ISIS, it's going to be Iran. And it's absolutely incredible to me that the global superpower has embarked on a strategy that can only ensure that it is perceived as having lost to a rag-tag bunch of head choppers.     http://www.steynonline.com/6969/this-guy-is-bonkers

Clinton appears to rule out US ground forces to fight the Islamic State
(Robert Spencer) - “But at the end of the thought process that I engage in … this has to be fought by and won by the Iraqis.” This assumes that the problem of the Islamic State is one that only involves Iraqis, and is simply a question of who should govern Iraq... Hilly is completely ignoring the fact that the Islamic State considers itself to be at war with the U.S. and the West, and has vowed to sow mayhem in the streets of this country. Ground troops in Iraq would be disastrous and self-defeating if they became another Wilsonian nation-building exercise draining this nation’s resources. But the Islamic State will not be beaten without them. Destroying it and getting out would set the global jihad back considerably. But it looks as if under our next President, the caliphate will continue to grow, and to plot to murder as many Americans as possible.        http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/05/clinton-appears-to-rule-out-us-ground-forces-to-fight-the-islamic-state

Only Five Republicans Voted Against nObama’s Trade Tyranny
(rickwells.us) - Only five Republicans voted against handing over their responsibility on trade deals and anything else that can be hidden inside of trade deals to the power hungry illegitimate occupant of the White House... Only five voted against TPP and against signing an 18 month blank check to Hussein nObama and the full term of whoever succeeds him, be it a Democrat, Republican, tyrant or man of the people. Every other irresponsible, treasonous sellout Republican voted based upon talking points, having never read a bill that is so bad it’s classified and being kept locked away from the American people and the press until after it’s too late to do anything to stop it. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), the statesman from Alabama, who led the charge against the treason of Mitch McCon-nell (R-KY), backstabber John Cornyn (R-TX), Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and their merry band of thieves, was joined by four other Republicans, though not all shared his convictions.       http://rickwells.us/only-five-republicans-voted-against-obamas-trade-tyranny-only-one-is-a-presidential-candidate/

nObama Warned To Stop Playing Politics With Defense Spending
(rickwells.us) - House Armed Services Committee chairman Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-TX) had a message for Hussein nObama on Saturday, not to threaten to veto the $612 billion 2016 National Defense Authorization Act... He noted that the entire amount that nObama requested for defense purposes was approved, but that his additional requests for unrelated domestic spending should not jeopardize real defense funding. He noted the bill passed with overwhelming support in the House and has strong support in the Senate. Thornberry said in the weekly Republican address, “The House bill authorized exactly the amount the president requested to keep America safe, But he wants more money for domestic programs and he has threatened to veto the defense bill unless he gets it.” He added, “Look, we’re always going to have our differences, but it’s wrong for anyone to play politics with defense. The world is too dangerous, and the men and women who serve are too precious for that.”        http://rickwells.us/on-memorial-day-weekend-obama-warned-to-stop-playing-politics-with-defense-spending/

Matt Drudge Attacks Treasonous Sellout Republicans Over TPP
(rickwells.us) - Sometimes the situation in the United States government exceeds the now customary level of self-serving anti-Americanism to such an extent that the normally silent Matt Drudge is compelled to say something... The orgy of political prostitution that is taking place in Washington DC as Congress engages in the wholesale mass rape of our Constitutionand our nation crossed that threshold. Drudge had a few tweets targeting the harlots inhabiting the House and Senate regarding the disgusting way that they are conducting themselves and the people’s business. They are despicable traitors, something that Drudge also made note of.  Kleptocrat and Washington DC Insider Hilly Clinton
(rickwells.us) - The career kleptocrat, Hilly Clinton, was in Iowa actually addressing the nation, referring to herself as being in Washington... As an ingrained part of the political establishment regardless of where she happens to be located at any particular moment, Clinton is Washington and she’s emblematic of what is wrong with our system. She is the embodiment of the political sewer that is the Washington DC political oligarchy. She sees things differently, though. She’s going to need a shower after coming into contact with the New Hampshire peasants. Some might view it as Clinton misspeaking. In the context of who and what she is, she spoke correctly, which leads to another, more revealing and potentially more problematiccomponent of the corrupt former Secretary of State, presidential candidate, Senator and first wife’s statement. At least four questions are begging to be asked in response to this one short sentence. How stupid are Democrat voters, has she no shame, and is there no limit to her corruption and her pandering? We already know the answers. It’s no wonder she avoids the media like the plague.        http://rickwells.us/kleptocrat-and-washington-

The summit that wasn't
Clifford D. May
.
.
U.S. President Barack Obama talks to Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, as Secretary of State John Kerry , Sheikh Tameem Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar and Dr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, of Qatar, look on during a working lunch at the Gulf Cooperation Council-U.S. summit on May 14, 2015 at Camp David, Maryland. Obama hosted leaders from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Amirates and Oman to discuss a range of issues including the Iran nuclear deal.
.
(jewishworldreview.com) - I'd venture to guess that most of what you heard about President nObama's summit last week was wrong. To start, it wasn't a "summit." That term, coined by Winston Churchill, implies a meeting of heads of government. However, the most important Arab leader invited by Mr. nObama, King Salman of Saudi Arabia, stayed home, as did the rulers of the United Arab Emirates and Oman. King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa of Bahrain decided his time could be spent more productively at the Royal Windsor Horse Show outside London.
.
You also may have heard that the reason the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) didn't attend was that they were put off by the prospect of international travel. Trust me: Flying in one's own customized jet is a lot less wearying than going coach.
.
It is true that by not showing up they were making a statement. But to say they "snubbed" the president, as several commentators did, is imprecise. They were demonstrating not disdain but distrust: They know Mr. nObama wants to convince them that the agreement he's bending over backward to conclude with the Islamic Republic of Iran will help stabilize a Middle East that grows more chaotic by the day. They're not buying it. So they sent envoys empowered only to say: "Thank you, Mr. President. I will convey your views to His Majesty."
.
Negotiations with Iran were intended to prevent the world's leading sponsor of terrorism from acquiring a nuclear weapons capability. At this point, they are veering toward providing Iran's rulers with two paths to that capability: a slow but sure one if they abide by the agreement's stipulations; a faster one if they violate their obligations - as they have in the past.
.
Whatever Iran does get under the agreement, the Saudis "will want the same," as Prince Turki al Faisal, the former Saudi intelligence chief, acknowledged a few months ago. The Saudis can develop their own nuclear weapons program or they can purchase nukes - probably from Pakistan, which decades ago developed its own nuclear weapons thanks to Saudi largesse. The Sunday Times of the United Kingdom is now reporting that Saudi officials have already made that "strategic decision."
.
Others in the region - the United Arab Emirates, the Turks, the Egyptians - are likely to follow suit. The result will be a "nuclear cascade," which means the death of the nuclear nonproliferation movement. The irony here should not go unremarked: In 2009, not long after he had moved into the White House, Mr. nObama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his "vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons."
.
A second justification for the Nobel Prize was Mr. nObama's "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people." In this regard, he has succeeded in an unexpected way: When it comes to the threat posed by Iran, the Saudis and other Arab countries have found common ground with Israel.
.
They all grasp what Mr. nObama will not: Iran is ruled by self-proclaimed religious revolutionaries who prefer power to peace, who command an expanding empire that already reaches deep into Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen (with weapons and money being sent to Hamas so it can launch more wars against Israel from Gaza), and who aim to weaken and ultimately defeat their neighbors - Sunni and Jewish alike.
.
An additional unintended consequence of Mr. nObama's Middle East policies: The Saudis and other Arab rulers are now being incentivized to resume (or, in some cases, increase) their support of Sunni jihadis. The logic is not hard to grasp: If Iran is about to become militarily stronger, with tens of billions of dollars awarded as a nuclear agreement "signing bonus," it makes sense to back forces willing to fight and, perhaps, contain Iran. That's good news for al Qaeda and the Islamic State; bad news for just about everyone else.
.
Indeed, even as the not-quite-a-summit was proceeding without him, King Salman was meeting with extremist clerics, the kind American diplomats have for years been asking the royal family to marginalize. Foundation for Defense of Democracies Senior Fellow David Weinberg has reported that one of the preachers the Saudi monarch graced with his presence advocates slavery and preaches that the Islamic State is a creation of Zionists and "crusaders". Another calls homosexuality an affliction that "seeks to strip man of his humanity" and "darkens and covers the soul."
.
As Mr. nObama's Gulf visitors were preparing to depart, a joint statement was issued. One prominent Washington pundit called it "surprisingly upbeat," asserting that it gave the Arab nations an "unequivocal" American commitment to "deter and confront" any future aggression from Iran. I'd argue that, au contraire, the statement was mainly boilerplate and blather.
.
One example: The United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council expressed their "shared recognition that there is no military solution to the region's armed civil conflicts, which can only be resolved through political and peaceful means." The carnage in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya and the Sinai are going to be ended through "political and peaceful means"? Really?
.
Another example (one that might seem to contradict the above): Mr. nObama promised that in the event of "aggression" or even "the threat" of aggression, the United States "stands ready to work with our GCC partners to determine urgently what action may be appropriate, using the means at our collective disposal, including the potential use of military force, for the defense of our GCC partners." Does that sound like an "unequivocal" American commitment? Or does it sound like a jumble of diplomatic weasel words?
.
I think I know how it was read by most Arabs. In Tehran, however, I'd venture to guess it came across as enormously reassuring and rather amusing.

WITH YOUR SECOND CUP OF COFFEE
On what historians believe was this day in 334 B.C. King Alexander III of Macedon led a combined army of Macedonians and Greeks to its first major victory in his conquest of the Persian Empire at the River Granicus (in modern day Turkey). At the time little was known of him to Persian King Darius, who thought his local commander could handle the 21 year-old upstart who was new to the throne. But after a stop at Troy to honor the Achilles with libations and a ritual naked run around the Greek hero’s sepulcher, the young king revealed a boldness in battle that would eventually lead him to conquer much of the ancient world and to one day earn the name Alexander the Great.
Historian Donald Wasson’s account of the one-hour Battle of Granicus between the 33,000 warriors details how between 1,500 and 3,000 Persians would fall to Alexander’s flanking maneuver (Macedonian/Greek losses were put at 120), and how after the battle the young king had little sympathy for Greek mercenaries fighting alongside the Persians. As for the spoils of victory, Alexander sent 300 suits of Persian armor home to Athens to remind the Greeks that Granicus was only one step in the war to avenge the Persian invasion of his homeland by Darius I and Xerxes decades before.

backstabber Boehner to nObama: Fix the VA Now!
(leanrightamerica.org) - Speaker of the House backstabber John Boehner has lost his patience with the Veterans Administration, his anger obvious as he took to the floor Wednesday. “Just one person has been fired,” backstabber Boehner said. “What the hell happened to the rest of them?”... It’s a question for which the VA has no answer. The coverup has continued with conflicting stories about who was punished, what has been changed, and what will be done in the future. Earlier this year, VA Secretary Robert McDonald claimed that 60 people had been fired for the scandal. Later, that number turned out to be only 14. And then last month, the New York Times reported that only a single person had been fired for the scandal. backstabber Boehner insisted that additional legislation was not the answer; only the administration could effect the kind of change needed in the VA. He said President nObama “owes the American people a real, long-term plan to fix the VA. Not a promise or a pledge or a rearranging of deck chairs: a real plan to clean up this mess.” What we need is a new leader.       http://www.leanrightamerica.org/uncategorized/boehner-to-obama-fix-the-va-now/

Congress: Terror-Tied Aliens Seeking Asylum in U.S.
(Adam Kredo) - Congress is demanding that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) release documents detailing how many foreigners seeking asylum in the United States have been found to have ties to terror groups, according to a recent letter sent to the agency by leading lawmakers... The letter comes on the heels of revelations by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that at least 638 aliens seeking asylum in America have been found to have connections to terrorists. This “recent disclosure regarding the numbers of aliens found to have a ‘credible fear’ in cases where the terrorism bar to asylum eligibility may have applied raised the concern that hundreds of known and suspected aliens with terrorist connections may be attempting to take advantage of our country’s asylum system,” according to the letter, sent by leaders of four House committees on national security, the judiciary, and government reform.   http://freebeacon.com/national-security/congress-terror-tied-aliens-seeking-asylum-in-u-s/

nObama And loose lips Biden Selling Climate Change
(rickwells.us) - The two anti-American agents who occupy the highest offices within the executive branch, Hussein nObama and loose lips Joe Biden, both made recent addresses to graduating classes to promote their false narrative of man-caused climate change... nObama spoke to the Coast Guard, loose lips Biden to Naval Cadets, both of them arguing the case in favor of climate alarmism. It is important to recognize the source of this drive is not a concern for the well-being of the planet. In an odd sort of questioning of which came first, the Chicken Little or the egg, it was the agenda for global conquest through the United Nations which determined that a climate threat was the best method for forcing the powerful to submit to rule by the self-ordained elite. Maurice Strong, the man who was the driving force behind the formulation of the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC, said in 1990, “What if a small group of world leaders were to conclude that the principal risk to the Earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? And if the world is to survive, those rich countries would have to sign an agreement reducing their impact on the environment. Will they do it? The group’s conclusion is ‘no’. The rich countries won’t do it. They won’t change. So, in order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”        http://rickwells.us/obama-and-biden-selling-climate-change-their-globalist-marxist-mission-working-for-the-un/

Senate blocks House bill on NSA surveillance, 2-month extension

$41 Billion Per Year, EPA Nazi McCarty Promised
(rickwells.us) - A federal government analysis has found that the new restrictions dictated to the American people by the EPA will, as expected, come at a heavy price... CO2 emissions limits contained in the latest regulations set to be adopted this summer will more than double the amount of energy capacity lost compared to what would occur without the rule. The Department of Energy has estimated the loss of 40 gigawatts of capacity by 2040 without the restrictions. With the new energy-killing mandates, that number will climb to an estimated 90 gigawatts. An additional 4.9 percent cost increase will be felt by 2020, with another 4 percent in 2030 followed by 2.6 percent in 2040. Those costs and reduced energy available to the American people are a direct result of these EPA mandates. Costs are never as small as predicted by the government and there is no reason to believe that the approximate five percent figure is legitimate. After all, that number is a far cry from the “price of a gallon of milk per month” that EPA energy Nazi Gina McCarthy quoted when she first introduced the restrictions.       http://rickwells.us/41-billion-per-year-is-a-lot-more-than-the-price-of-a-gallon-of-milk-per-month-epa-nazi-mccarty-promised/

Democrats call for 'flood' of Muslims to U.S.   (Leo Hohmann) - A group of 14 Democrat senators has written a letter  to President nObama urging him to “dramatically increase” the number of Syrian refugees being resettled into American cities and towns... They say the U.S. needs to take in at least 65,000 Syrians as permanent refugees over the next year-and-a-half. The 14 senators, led by Richard Durbin, D-Ill., Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., cite the research of the Refugee Council USA to make their case for 65,000 Syrian refugees by the end of 2016.  Emails Cast Doubt on Hilly Clinton’s Benghazi Claims

Clinton has long denied being in the loop about mounting dangers in Benghazi and her agency’s rejection of security requests from U.S. personnel, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who was killed in the attacks.  CAIR Doesn’t Think Our US Military Should Be honored
(AmyElizabeth) - While the rest of the country was recalling its fallen troops, two prominent CAIR officials questioned whether they deserved to be honored. Virtually all Americans come together on Memorial Day to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s freedom and safety... Two Council on American-Islamic Relations’ officials spent the holiday weekend differently: Questioning whether U.S. troops deserve to be honored and tweeting that the country was “established upon white supremacy.” The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group labeled by the Justice Department as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity and unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism-financing trial, disingenuously claims that it is a moderate organization. This is one good reason they shouldn't be on American soil.       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/23/cair-dont-think-us-miltary-honored-memorial-day/

Congress pushes a pay cut for former presidents
(Pete Kasperowicz) - There's a new movement in Congress to dramatically cut the taxpayer-funded pensions given to former presidents, in an era when it's never been easier for former presidents to make millions of dollars... Reports this week said Bill and Hilly Clinton together earned more than $25 million since 2014, mostly from huge speaking fees that both are able to command. Even George W. Bush, who has kept a lower profile since leaving office, has earned large speaking fees. A Congressional Research Service study from last year said taxpayers spent about $3.5 million to support all the former presidents, and that more than $400,000 was spent on office space for both Bush and Clinton.       http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/congress-pushes-a-pay-cut-for-former-presidents/article/2564886

The Pope's Better Angels of Peace

.
The Pope's Better Angels of Peace
.
(jewishworldreview.com) - It turns out Pope Francis may not have called Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas "an angel of peace."
.
That was the quote reported by the Associated Press, Agence France Presse and the New York Times on Saturday night and led to my response here criticizing the pontiff for uttering such an egregious comment the following morning. Speaking the way about a man who was a Holocaust denier, a funder and organizer of terrorism, presides over a government and media that routinely foments hatred of Jews and Israel and who has repeatedly rejected peace would be outrageous.
.
But if, as JWR contributor Tom Gross pointed out in the Weekly Standard, most of the Italian press reported that the pope actually said, "you could be an angel of peace," that puts the exchange in a very different light. That led Gross to claim those mainstream media outlets that spread the original story did so because they are prejudiced against Israel and for the Palestinians.
.
Gross is on to something there since media bias on the Middle East is real. But before we file this story away as merely another example of this problem, let's put it in context.
.
If the Times and other outlets that picked up the quote still haven't corrected their stories, it's also because the event during which the pope spoke led them to think that's what he meant.
.
In this case, the fault may belong as much to the Vatican as to those reporters who spread the misquote.
.
As Gross noted, there is now good reason to think the pope did not call Abbas an "angel of peace." The Italian press quoted the pope as saying, "Lei possa essere un angelo della pace" — which is translated as "you could be an angel of peace." The pope giving Abbas a gift of a medallion that shows an angel of peace "destroying the bad spirit of war" (apparently a standard event for all visitors) and led to the pontiff saying that Abbas could do the same thing.
.
That not only doesn't sound bad, it could be spun as the pope challenging Abbas to do something that he has not done before. Even more, some have pointed that in addition to the medal, the pope also gave Abbas a copy of his 2013 encyclical Evangelii Gaudium, a document that included language that spoke of Judaism with respect. That could lead some to think the pope was actually sending the PA leader a critical message rather than a pat on the back. If true, that should generate applause from friends of Israel rather than criticism.
.
But there's a good reason why the mainstream press has been slow to amend their original stories: the Vatican hasn't sought a correction.
.
As the Times of Israel pointed out, neither the Vatican website nor its official news agency specified what the pope said to Abbas on Saturday. Nor did they note the widespread discrepancies in the coverage of that event with many publications making the claim that the pope praised Abbas and others using the more equivocal quote. Nor is that likely to happen.
.
As much as many of us are rightly predisposed to think that the AP or the New York Times willfully distorted the pope's words, the Vatican doesn't appear to be displeased about the misquote.
.
Moreover, it's hard to be too tough on reporters who got the quote wrong in that manner because praise of Abbas and the Palestinian cause seemed to be exactly the purpose of the visit and other events surrounding the canonization of two Arab nuns who lived in the country when it was under Ottoman rule during the 19th century.
.
The Vatican's decision to join much of the rest of Europe and recognize Palestinian independence without first insisting that Abbas (and/or his Hamas rivals that rule Gaza) make peace with Israel was a signal not just of approval for the PA leader but of contempt for efforts to hold him accountable for his behavior. It is a good thing if Pope Francis did not actually call Abbas "an angel of peace." But by approving the PA's end run around the peace process at the United Nations, the pope has already done something that is morally equivalent to such an outrageous statement.
.
Were the pope really interested in challenging Abbas to become an angel of peace, he would not be authorizing the Vatican to conclude a treaty recognizing Palestine while its leaders refuse to recognize the legitimacy of a Jewish state no matter where its borders are drawn.
.
The church had an opportunity to stand for peace by refusing to join the rush to recognize a government that has no control over the territory it claims and much of which is under the thumb of an Islamist terror group with which the PA has tried to forge an alliance. If the Vatican hasn't asked for a correction about the misquote, it's because it seems to be perfectly happy to let the world think the pope is an ardent backer of the PA.
.
So as much as we are right to criticize the Times, the AP and Agence France Pressse for their mistake, the real fault lies with a Vatican that staged a happy photo op with a leader with Abbas's checkered past and present opposition to peace talks.
.
No one who knows much about Abbas thinks he could ever be an angel of peace. But Pope Francis, a good man whose good intentions deserve our respect, could be one.
.
But in order to do it, he would have to step back from a policy that aligns the Vatican with those seeking to unfairly pressure Israel and gives the PA a pass for rejecting peace.

The Odd Millions: Clintons Disclose More Clandestine Cash
It seems like Hilly Clinton's campaign is trying to get all the bad news out early (though there isn't much good news). That way, the toxic waste might reach half-life before the primary election. The Clinton Foundation released more details into how the Clintons went from "dead broke" to One Per centers, and it shows the family's overpriced speaking fees raked in $12 to $26.4 million more than previously disclosed. The money came from colleges, Wall Street companies like Goldman Sachs and foreign governments like Qatar. The Clintons didn't disclose these payments because they counted them as revenue for a service, not donations. But in effect, this allowed groups to hand the Clintons a pile of undisclosed cash. Members of Congress sent a letter to the IRS asking it to reconsider the Clinton Foundation's tax-exempt status. While asking the government to investigate the Clintons is valid, the letter may galvanize Democrats to rally around Clinton. Instead, Republicans should let Clinton twist in the wind. Either progressives realize Clinton doesn't represent their idealism and challenge her majesty's claim to the Oval Office, or they wear her like an albatross. More...  -The Patriot Post

Sid Blumenthal Changed His Benghazi Story
On Wednesday, we noted that longtime Clinton friend and adviser Sidney Blumenthal told Hilly on Sept. 12, 2012, that the attack on the Benghazi consulate was sparked by a YouTube video. But after beginning to comb over some of Clinton's released emails, The New York Times reports this gem: "The next day [September 13], Mr. Blumenthal sent Mrs. Clinton a more thorough account of what had occurred. Citing 'sensitive sources' in Libya, the memo provided extensive detail about the episode, saying that the siege had been set off by members of Ansar al-Shariah, the Libyan terrorist group. Those militants had ties to Al Qaeda, had planned the attacks for a month and had used a nearby protest as cover for the siege, the memo said. 'We should get this around asap' Mrs. Clinton said in an email to [her then-deputy chief of staff] Mr. Sullivan. 'Will do,' he responded. That information contradicted the nObama administration's narrative at the time about what had spawned the attacks. Republicans have said the administration misled the country about the attacks because it did not want to undermine the notion that President nObama, who was up for re-election, was winning the war on terrorism."
So Hilly knew with certainty two days after the attack that it wasn't the spontaneous protest against an obscure Internet video that Barack nObama, Susan Rice and others in his administration would continue to claim for weeks afterward. And she knew this truth before she looked the father of slain former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods in the eye and promised, "We're going to have the person responsible for that video arrested." It may turn out Hilly wishes she had released these emails before they became such a big story.  -The Patriot Post

Fox, CNN to Determine Who's a Presidential Candidate
Fox News announced Wednesday that only (ahem, only) 10 GOP candidates — the leaders in the polls — will be permitted to participate in the first presidential debate on Aug. 6 in Cleveland. Likewise, CNN will limit the first part of its Sept. 16 debate to the top 10 polling candidates, while allowing any who exceed 1% to come on stage for the second half. Certainly, we understand not wanting to have 27 people on stage competing for a few seconds of airtime. The GOP field is crowded this year, nearly to the point of being silly. But the decision to limit this to poll numbers is asinine, especially for the first debate. Voters don't know the candidates very well yet, so why limit the stage to polling on people who are as-yet unknown quantities? It amounts to making early name recognition the bar of entry, which then — ta da — limits name recognition for those who haven't got it yet. This is a good example of what we like to call pollaganda, a propagandistic disinformation technique where political polling masquerades as "objective journalism" and instead advances a particular bias. The networks can thus use the restricted GOP field todrive public opinion rather than reflect or inform it. Our solution: If candidates have done the necessary paperwork and are qualified, put 'em on stage one way or another, even if it takes multiple debates in varying arrangements.   -The Patriot Post

ANOTHER DAY OF DAMAGING DISCLOSURES FOR HILLY
If the first rule of scandal management is to completely purge the damaging information and cauterize the wound, Hilly Clinton is failing badly. We learned today that Clinton’s family foundation hid $26 million in foreign and corporate contributions as “revenue” on the grounds that the presumptive Democratic nominee or her husband or daughter gave speeches in exchange for the gifts. The donors include a Chinese energy consortium, a Nigerian newspaper and Citibank. And later today we will get the first wave of her emails from a secret server.
[The NYT has posted online the first tranche of emails it obtained from those surrendered by Clinton.]
“This is coming from individual who when she worked in State Department didn’t obey the law to begin with, which said she should have had an official email on an official government server. So she’s already broken the law once, so now we’re to trust her that the ones she turned over are all of emails? I personally won’t be satisfied till we look at the server.” – Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on “America’s Newsroom”  -Fox News

Press boycotted Bush 41 staged campaign events -   There was a time when political reporters ransomed their coverage of a presidential campaign in protest of a candidate’s reliance on staged events. The Hoover Institution’s Bill Whalen reminds us of the 1992 race when the press became so fed up with then-President George H.W. Bush’s canned campaign they refused to cover the staged events.  ISIS Takes Another Major Biblical City (Palmyra)
(Walid Shoebat) - So now ISIS have taken control of the ancient city of Palmyra, biblical Tadmor in Syria. Palmyra (city of palms) or Tadmor is home to some of the world’s most magnificent ruins while government troops have almost entirely withdrawn... leaving the city, its people and its priceless ruins in the hands of ISIS, which after this victory, ISIS now controls half of the entire nation of Syria. This in addition, ISIS took control of Ramadi, a city in Iraq’s Anbar Province while the US military says it is sending 1,000 anti-tank missiles to the Iraqi government following the fall of that city. Who knows, most likely such missiles will also fall in the hand of ISIS since ISIS, as reported in Tadmor, was able to win their victory as a result of using the TOW missiles to take that city.        http://shoebat.com/2015/05/21/isis-takes-another-major-biblical-city-palmyra-and-begins-the-slaughter-of-its-citizens-with-rows-of-people-beheaded/

nObama: 'It's my name' on Iran nuke deal
(Charles Hoskinson) - President nObama defended his bid for a nuclear deal with Iran in an interview released Thursday by noting that he has a personal interest in seeing it succeed... "Look, 20 years from now, I'm still going to be around, God willing. If Iran has a nuclear weapon, it's my name on this," he told the Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg. "I think it's fair to say that in addition to our profound national-security interests, I have a personal interest in locking this down." nObama's comments aren't likely to soothe critics of the deal, who have accused the president of making the talks with Tehran too much of a personal affair, even though they are being conducted in conjunction with Germany and the other four permanent members of the U.N. Security Council. And the American people will be paying for his greed.        http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/obama-its-my-name-on-iran-nuke-deal/article/2564840

White House Releases New Policing Recommendations
(Bob Dane) - Today, the White House released The President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing in response to demands from special interest communities and recent events such as Ferguson and Baltimore... The 116-page report details sweeping new policies that the task force believes will result in greater trust between police and the communities in which they serve. One section of the report focuses on how state and local law enforcement should deal with “immigrant” communities. It should be noted, nowhere is a distinction made between an illegal and legal immigrant. Two areas stand out: Section 1.9 encourages law enforcement to, “build relationships based on trust with immigrant communities,” and that, “whenever possible, state and local law enforcement should not be involved in immigration enforcement.”  Their argument is that immigrants are hesitant to share information with police if they fear deportation.       http://immigrationreform.com/2015/05/19/white-house-releases-new-policing-recommendations/

Iran vs. Israel: Who's Making the Threats?
(danielpipes.org) - A speech by the Israeli defense minister sets the stage for a discussion of whether Jerusalem threatens Tehran or the other way around. Daniel Pipes debated Brian Becker of ANSWER Coalition... An excerpt from the conversation, at 12:45:
Pipes: Do I think the U.S. government should bomb the Iranian nuclear installations? Absolutely, and the sooner the better. Moderator: No, should Israel do it? Pipes: I would prefer the United States government do it but if the United States government won't do it, I hope the Israelis will do it, be otherwise we have madmen in Tehran controlling nuclear weapons that threaten the Iranian population, the Israeli population, the American population, and many other populations besides. Best to get rid of this in advance, such as the Israelis did in Iraq in 1981 and in Syria in 2007.       http://www.danielpipes.org/15860/iran-israel-nuclear-threats

Univision's Ramos: Hispanic Vote Will Decide Election
(Bradford Thomas) - Univision's most influential news anchor, Jorge Ramos, says that there's a "new rule" in American politics: "no one can make it to the White House without the Hispanic vote," a change he called "beautiful."... The comments were made during an interview with Harvard University's Institute of Politics which followed a speech the Univision host gave to an audience of students. During the sit down, Ramos said that in 2016 the number of Hispanics voting would climb to 16 million, a 4 million jump from 2012.  Mindboggling nObama Can Insist That We Aren’t Losing Against ISIS
(rickwells.us) - Senator John McCain commented on a statement made by Hussein nObama in The Atlantic in which the occupier of the White House said of the supposed war on ISIS, “No, I don’t think we’re losing…There’s no doubt there was a tactical setback.” nObama is incapable of admitting he is wrong and even if he were able to recognize it, many would argue that, with the rapid expansion of ISIS, things are proceeding exactly accordingto his plan. Those of us looking for an nObama strategy as one in which our enemy is defeated may be looking in the wrong place. In defense of his well-hidden strategy, nObama described the growth of ISIS and the capture of key cities and territory as a “tactical”setback, the implication being that there’s nothing wrong with his “strategy.” Senator McCain disagrees with the nObama assessment, describing it is being “Just mindboggling that the ‘president’ could keep saying and his spokesperson and others in the administration could keep saying what they’re saying while thousands of people are being butchered, burning bodies in the streets, executions, beheadings.”        http://rickwells.us/sen-john-mccain-mindboggling-that-obama-can-still-insist-that-we-arent-losing-against-isis/

 While Hilly Slept
(Noah Rothman) - Only the most conspiratorial among us suspected that the State Department’s decision to release a tranche of Hilly Clinton’s private emails on the Friday before a long holiday weekend just might be an effort to bury the revelations... But some of the most compelling details in those emails regarding Clinton’s conduct were in regards to the deadly 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi. Theemails reveal that the White House regarded Clinton as the “public face of the U.S. effort in Libya” in 2012. “She was instrumental in security the authorization, building the coalition, and tightening the noose around Qadhafi and his regime.” The White House noted that Clinton had been a “critical voice on Libya,” working closely with the president, NATO, and a number of contact groups both during the coalition intervention and in its aftermath. And when officials received a presidential briefing three days after the September 11, 2012 attack that took the life of a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans, Hilly Clinton was asleep. To this inquiry, Clinton launched into a response that centered on the fact that she had never sent classified information over the one “homebrew” server of which the public was aware. “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email,” Clinton insisted. “There is no classified material. So I’m certainly well-aware of the classification requirements and did not send classified material.”  Once again, America, whether Clinton engaged in any impropriety depends on what the definition of “is” is.       https://www.commentarymagazine.com/2015/05/22/while-hillary-slept/

How nObama Lost Ramadi
Jonathan Spyer
.
1284.jpg
A still frame from an amateur video showing the chaotic, high-speed retreat of Iraqi government forces from Ramadi
.
(meforum.org) - The fall of Ramadi to the fighters of the Islamic State is a disaster for the Iraqi government of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. The taking of the city brings IS to just over 60 miles from Baghdad. In addition to showcasing the low caliber of the Iraqi security forces, the events surrounding the fall of the city lay bare the contradictions at the heart of Western policy in Iraq.
.
Prime Minister Abadi had ordered the garrison in Ramadi to stand firm. He hoped to see a successful stand in the city as a prelude to a government retaking of Anbar province, over half of which is still in IS hands.
.
But in a manner reminiscent of the fall of Mosul in June 2014, Iraqi security forces ignored orders to defend Ramadi, and fled eastwards to the neighboring town of Khalidiyeh. This left Ramadi to the tender mercies of the fighters of the Islamic State, who have reportedly since slaughtered at least 500 people. It is important to note that even U.S. airstrikes were not sufficient to prevent the debacle.
.
As of now, Shia militias are heading for the city's outskirts. A militia-led counterattack is expected in the coming days. A further advance eastwards by the Sunni jihadis, at least in the immediate future, is unlikely.
.
So what is behind the failure of the Iraqi security forces and the continued advance of the jihadis?
.
On the simplest level, the greater motivation and determination of the IS fighters explains their continued successes against the Iraqis. The jihadis are all volunteers. Not all of them are highly skilled fighters, but their level of motivation is correspondingly very high.
.

By contrast, Iraqi soldiers are often serving far from home, defending communities for whom they have little concern. Most joined the army for the salary. Their unwillingness to engage against the murderous jihadis of the Islamic State is not hard to understand or explain.
.
However, this problem has now been apparent for nearly a year, ever since the Sunni jihadis first crashed across the border from Syria last June. So why has it not been addressed? The blame for this cannot be placed at the feet of low ranking Iraqi soldiers.
.
The blame lies at the policy making level. The United States is committed to the territorial unity of Iraq. It therefore is determined to relate to the government of Haider al-Abadi as the sole authority in the country.
.
The problem with this stance is two-fold.
.
Firstly, it precludes providing arms directly to the elements who are most willing to use them against the Islamic State (namely, the Kurdish Peshmerga and further south, the elements among the Sunni tribes whom the U.S. aided during the "surge" in the 2006-2007 period).
.
In the north, this has not prevented the Kurds from successfully defending the area west of Erbil (with the vital assistance of coalition air power). But it has served to keep the Kurds militarily dependent on the coalition, thus reducing the possibility of their making a bid for independence from Baghdad in the immediate future.
.
Secondly, and more importantly, the U.S. commitment to the territorial unity of Iraq is leading to a willful blindness regarding the actual nature of the government in Baghdad and its true sources of strength and support.
.
The supposedly legitimate armed forces of Baghdad are, as has been witnessed again in Ramadi, not fit for the purpose. The true defenders of Baghdad and of the government are right now heading toward Ramadi. They are the forces of the "Hashd al-Shaabi" (popular mobilization). They are the Shia militias, supported by Iran. These militias are the wall behind which the Amadi government shelters.
.
The West insists on maintaining the illusion that the government in Baghdad is something other than a Shia sectarian-dominated entity in the process of entering a de facto military alliance with the Iranians. This stubbornness is producing the current absurd situation in which Western air power is being used in support of Shia Islamism.
.
1285.jpg
American hesitation to aid Kurdish and tribal Sunni forces has left the field to Iranian-backed Shia militiamen, seen here after their recapture of Tikrit in March.
.
It is important to understand that this is not taking place because there is no other option for stopping the advance of the Islamic State. There is another, more effective option: direct aid to the Kurds, and to the Sunni tribes further south.
.
This support of Shia Islamism is taking place because of the conviction in Western capitals — most importantly, of course, Washington, D.C. — that the advance of Iran and the building of Iranian strength in Lebanon and in the collapsed states of Iraq and Syria is not a phenomenon to be prevented.
.
Rather, Western capitals believe that growing Iranian influence can be accommodated and perhaps even allied with.
.
This conviction combined with the desire to maintain the fictions of "Iraq" and "Syria" are the foundations of current policy. For these reasons, in the coming days we will witness U.S. and Western air power, astonishingly, supporting Shia Islamist militants as they battle with Sunni Islamist militants. Meanwhile, overtly pro-Western forces further north lack arms.
.
The Islamic State just took Ramadi. In Western capitals where Middle East policy is made, folly is engaged on a similarly triumphant march.
.

Americas must realize that self-scrutiny is not treason. Self-examination is not disloyalty.

The truth and knowledge diffused among the people are necessary for the preservation of our Democracy, rights, freedom and liberties.

Warning the Dollar collapse is close to be a reality.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBN6qUrweio

The collapse of the Dollar will touch every single living person in the world. All human activity is controlled by money. Our wealth, our work, our food, our government, even our relationships are affected by the Dollar. The collapse of the Dollar will be global and it will bring down not only the dollar but all other fiat currencies, as they are fundamentally no different. The collapse of currencies will lead to the collapse of all paper assets worldwide. Thanks to globalization and the greed of the world’s predator corporatism system, that destroy the economy of many countries by the exploitation of labor in the third world countries and by harvests the wealth of the world by the commercialization of products made by corporate slave wages and the world’s cheap labor.

The truth is that predator corporatism suppresses real assets, like natural resources and labor to provide themselves massive profits; this concentration of wealth by the oligarchy  provides them with the money to fund the election of politicians that will support their corporations and the ever increasing federal government. The Federal government then grows larger and larger enriching its minions with jobs to control the American people and promote corporate controls on other nations through the Military Industrial Complex. Wars are the creation of this corrupt government, 9/11 was an inside job and the military intervention on Iraq and Afghanistan cost us thousands of Americans lives and the lives of millions of innocent people that never caused any harm to the American people, this was the work of the Devil, George W. Bush did the Devil’s work and demise our country with this huge national debt, that will destroy the Dollar.

The collapse is coming and will be a crisis that only we can suppress, remember God is in our side, demonstrations and public unrest will make everything worse. We must acknowledge that we get to this point by greed; now is the time to think in unity and the building of cooperatives to create jobs and serve our communities, think local and community economy development, support local business and share with others ideas that lead to jobs and productivity.

Today, many are in complete denial of the current situation, but they can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. This dollar collapse is coming. It is a mathematical inevitability, save your savings and your retirement, invest all your money in tangible assets, your best investment is in houses that you can be rent as shelter to many, form housing and farm cooperatives. If we can have a home and food to eat we will overcome this crisis.

To sum up, Big cities will be the worse place to live when the Dollar collapse, civil unrest will be confronted with the police and the army ready to kill Americans they are ready for this, FEMA have the concentration camps ready for the demonstrators if you live in big cities move to small cities and avoid being kill by our own soldiers and policemen, do not give them the excuse to kill you, protect yourself.

PAUL-IBUSTER SHOWS RAND STANDS WITH HIS BASE
After more than 10 hours holding the Senate floor Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., made at least one thing clear: he hasn’t forgotten where he came from. Since his presidential campaign began, Paul has spent much of his time trying to ingratiate himself with mainstream GOP voters – and seeming to shift stances on key issues. For example, Paul said on “Fox and Friends” last month that “there is a valuable use for drones” and added an amendment to the budget this year that would have increased Defense spending by $76.5 million.
But getting in the mainstream flow means losing some of his own loyal supporters. Those supporters want the guy who filibustered CIA Director John Brennan’s nomination over Brennan’s support of the drone program, and proposed a budget that eliminated four federal agencies and slashed military spending. This filibuster is a nod to his supporters that he is still their guy.

The situation looked dire for a red-crowned crane that fell into a tiger enclosure at a Chinese zoo, UPI reports. “Witnesses at the Fuyang Wildlife Park in Hangzhou said the crane was carried into the enclosure by strong winds Saturday and appeared to be in danger of becoming a meal for the zoo’s three tigers.” But as Sun Tzu said, “He who is skilled in attack flashes forth from the topmost heights of heaven.” With the cats circling, the crane employed a fighting technique that would make any kung fu master proud, chasing his attackers around the cage at times. To the delight of onlookers the crane was eventually rescued by zookeepers and treated for minor injuries.

Manchin: ‘We Never Acknowledge We’ve Made a Mistake’
(Nicholas Ballasy) - Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.V.), who was elected to the Senate in 2010, said he is still struggling to learn the “new math” used in Washington that leads to deficits rather than balanced budgets... “The first day I came to the Senate I said, ‘What’s our revenue?’ Well, I was told immediately we’re going to spend about $3.5 to $3.7 trillion and I said, ‘OK, how much money will we have?’ ‘Well, we’ve looked every way possible and we don’t think we can cut much out of the $3.5 or $3.7,’” Manchin, a former governor of West Virginia, said at a Brookings Institution event on governing from the middle. “How much do you think we have to pay? ‘Oh, we have about $2.2 trillion to pay.’ I said, ‘We’re not high-end mathematicians at home but we can add and subtract. We figure you’re about $1.5 trillion short.’” Manchin said balanced budgets apparently do not apply to the federal government.        http://pjmedia.com/blog/manchin-on-congress-we-never-acknowledge-weve-made-a-mistake/

McCon-nell Scrambling To Let nObama Keep Failed Snooping Powers
(Julian Hatterm & Maggie Ybarra) - Yesterday, just after Sen. Rand Paul ended his “minibuster” against renewal of the Patriot Act’s controversial Section 215 bulk data collection program... our friend Maggie Ybarra of The Washington Times reported that Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz of the Justice Department said in a newly released report that, between 2004 and 2009, the FBI tripled its use of bulk collection under Section 215 of the Patriot Act. But, said Horowitz, FBI agents can’t point to any major terrorism cases they’ve cracked thanks to the snooping powers in the Patriot Act, which allows government agents to compel businesses to turn over records and documents, and increasingly scoops up records of Americans who had no ties to official terrorism investigations. The FBI has finally come up with procedures to try to minimize the information it gathers on nontargets, but it took far too long, Mr. Horowitz admitted in the report.       http://www.conservativehq.com/article/20333-mitch-mcconnell-scrambling-let-obama-keep-failed-snooping-powers

Pulosi? How About Stopping backstabber Boehner & McCon-nell?
(conservativehq.com) - Recently, one of our colleagues received a solicitation from Rob Simms, Executive Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) ringing the alarm that funds were needed to “stop Nancy Pelosi's momentum following their surprise victory in the Mississippi Special Election last week.”... Setting aside the fact that there was no Democratic “victory” in the Mississippi Special Election of May 12 – in a field of 13 candidates running in a “jungle primary’ the one lone Democrat got a few tenths of a point more than the leading Republican, meaning something like 83% of voters voted for a Republican versus the 17% that voted for the Democrat. This sets-up a June 2 run-off where the Democrat will be vaporized in a district Mitt Romney won by 25 points, unless the NRCC moves in and snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, but Simms’ email did get us thinking. Who is the greatest threat to liberty and American exceptionalism? http://www.conservativehq.com/node/20325

How the Media Got Into Bed with the Clintons
(Cliff Kincaid) - Republican operative Karl Rove writes in The Wall Street Journal that “few demonstrate as much contempt for journalists as do Barack nObama and Hilly Clinton.” That may be true for nObama, but Mrs. Clinton has taken a different approach... Her platforms, the Clinton Foundation and its project, the Clinton Global Initiative, have given the appearance of humanitarian work, drawing many big names from the media into her network of influence. No wonder they treat her with deference and respect. The media have been compromised. “Until late Tuesday afternoon,” reports USA Today, “the Clinton Foundation website listed CNN anchor Jake Tapper as a ‘speaker’ at a Clinton Global Initiative event scheduled for June 8-10 in Denver. After USA TODAY asked CNN about the event, Tapper’s name was swiftly removed from the Clinton Foundation website.” It appears that Tapper will still participate in the meeting, but not as a speaker. http://www.aim.org/aim-column/how-the-media-got-into-bed-with-the-clintons/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email052215&utm_medium=email

nObama's trade bill narrowly clears a key Senate hurdle
(David Espo & Charles Babington) - In a triumph for President Barack nObama, sweeping legislation to strengthen the administration's hand in global trade talks advanced toward Senate passage Thursday after a showdown vote that remained in doubt until the final moment... The 62-38 vote, two more than the 60 needed, came from a solid phalanx of Republicans and more than a dozen Democrats. But the decisive thumbs-up came — literally, and long past the allotted time — from Democratic Sen. Maria Cantwell of Washington after she and a few others seized the moment as leverage to demand a vote next month on legislation to renew the Export-Import Bank. "It was a nice victory. We're going to continue and finish up the bill this week," Majority leader Mitch McCon-nell, R-Ky., and nObama's most important Senate ally on the trade bill, said after sealing the agreement that Cantwell, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and others had sought.     http://apnews.myway.com/article/20150522/us--congress_rdp-95d5f0f787.html

(rickwells.us) - If Jeh Johnson were truly performing effectively and in the national interest of the United States and our citizens, would he have to be told how to do his job by four Congressmen... particularly in regards to a window of potential terrorist abuse of great magnitude? The answer is clearly “No” and Johnson is equally clearly not interested in America’s security.  Charities spending $187 million in donations on dating sites, trips
(Priya Anand) - Federal regulators accused four cancer charities Tuesday of spending more than $187 million in donations not to help patients, but on cars, luxury cruises and trips, jet ski outings, sport and concert tickets, dating site memberships and college tuition for family and friends... The four sham charities — Cancer Fund of America, Inc., Cancer Support Services Inc., Children’s Cancer Fund of America, Inc. and The Breast Cancer Society Inc. — “operated as personal fiefdoms characterized by rampant nepotism, flagrant conflicts of interest and excessive insider compensation,” according to a federal complaint filed in the District Court of Arizona. The defendants collectively spent less than 3% of the donated funds on cancer patients, according to the complaint. All 50 states and D.C. joined the Federal Trade Commission in filing the charge — one of the largest charity fraud cases to date, according to the FTC.        http://www.marketwatch.com/story/4-cancer-charities-charged-for-187-million-scam-2015-05-19?rss=1

Portions are excerpted below, the full text is available here... Senator Sessions stated the serious and grave threat this abdication of Congressional duty represents to our nation and the effective imposition of dictatorial, unrepresentative and potentially foreign-controlled government which will result from this Congressional treason.  Hilly Supporters to Name Her Accomplishments As Secretary of State
(Ken Shepherd) - U.S. News & World Report's Susan Milligan wildly spun for Democratic presidential frontrunner Hilly Clinton on the May 20 edition of Hardball when she insisted that the fact that her supporters in a recent focus-group survey by Bloomberg TV cannot name a single accomplishment of hers as Secretary of State is, well, "unfair."... Indeed, Milligan insisted, the job of Secretary of State is essentially to make sure nothing major goes wrong on his or her watch. Clearly Susan has never heard of the fiasco that is post-Qadhafi Libya or the ongoing civil war in Syria or the abject failure of the Russia "reset."  For his part, Matthews agreed with Milligan by recalling that "nObama didn't have a big accomplishment before he got elected." Do these people ever listen to themselves?!       http://newsbusters.org/blogs/ken-shepherd/2015/05/20/milligan-unfair-expect-hillary-clinton-supporters-name-hillarys?hootPostID=f219e74fb2ee2f4f72b42590f336bed1

Hilly: Leadership/Ownership/Stewardship of Libya, Start to Finish’
(Terence P. Jeffrey) - Secretary of State Hilly Clinton had “leadership/ownership/stewardship of this country’s Libya policy from start to finish,” says an email written by one of Clinton’s top aides... and forwarded to Clinton herself--as the Libyan rebellion that sought the overthrow of Muammar Qadhafi appeared to be nearing a triumphant moment. The email is one of those the State Department has thus far given to the House Select Committee on Benghazi. It is among 349 pages of those emails that were obtained by the New York Times and that the Times has posted online in a PDF. This email about Clinton’s “ownership” of U.S. Libya policy was sent—on the East Coast of the United States--at 7:40 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2011. By then, in Tripoli, Libya, it was already 1:40 a.m. on the morning of Monday, August 22. The Sunday night email from Jake Sullivan explained how Hilly Clinton deserved credit as the American official most responsible for what was happening in Libya.       http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/top-aides-pre-benghazi-email-hillary-clinton-had

The U.S. is Now a Mobocracy
Burt_Header_M2.jpg
.
(burtprelutsky.com) - In spite of all the attention we have recently paid to Baltimore, it’s nothing new. We’ve had race riots on a regular basis for nearly 50 years. I’m not referring to events like Selma, which were peaceful demonstrations that were turned into riots by the racist cops. But even the assassination of Martin Luther King was merely an excuse for black people to run amok, making asses of themselves by burning, breaking and looting. What a great way to pay tribute to the man who preached passive resistance to racial injustice!
.
Ever since then, this has been an urban form of entertainment in every major city in America. Sometimes the fuse is lit by the local team’s winning or losing a championship game. More often, the trigger, so to speak, is some good-for-nothing being shot during a police pursuit.
.
Out here in L.A., we experienced a major riot simply because four cops were acquitted for beating on Rodney King, a career thug who had just led the cops on a 100-mph car chase and then resisted being cuffed, probably because he was high on PCP.
.
But the mob must be accommodated, so when the cops were acquitted, the feds stepped in and, pretending that the Fifth Amendment doesn’t prohibit double jeopardy, used the all-encompassing charge of denial of civil rights to try them all over again.
.
Every single time one of these riots takes place, we hear the same old claptrap about the cops not showing proper respect to the black community. What we don’t hear about is black parents instilling a respect for the police in their children. But, then, with black men reducing their own responsibility to that of sperm donors, the only male role models the kids have are other kids.
.
We were all heartened to see the woman in Baltimore knock her teenage son around when she spotted him behind the hood and the mask, but she was the only parent we saw who wasn’t raising havoc in the streets.
.
What we haven’t seen in Baltimore or L.A., Detroit or New York City, were blacks demonstrating in support of the cops. So it is always a one-way street. The blacks get to show their contempt for those sworn to protect the innocent, but we never see the slightest expression of gratitude for those who police the mean streets of America.
.
In Ferguson, all the early “witnesses” testified that they had seen Officer Darren Wilson shoot Michael Brown in the back. When forensics proved that to be a false narrative, the witnesses, suddenly facing perjury charges, all admitted they had lied, because they feared reprisal from their thuggish neighbors.
.
These are dark times, due in good part to dark people. We all know that most black people are not thugs, but, more and more often, it seems that most thugs are black people.
.
Another lie we keep hearing from the Democrats running these civic cesspools is that not enough money is being spent on inner city public schools. They are, of course, merely parroting the propaganda of the teachers unions. Whether it’s Chicago, where the teachers went on strike even though they were being paid upwards of $75,000-a-year, or Baltimore, which spends the third most dough of any city on its schools, lack of funds is not the problem.
.
Kids growing up in homes where the mother is either lying around collecting welfare or out working two or three jobs because there’s no husband-father in the home, is part of the problem. And stupid kids who denounce other kids who are trying to get an education by saying they’re “acting white,” are part of the problem.
.
Politicians, both black and white, who refuse to talk about the real cause of illiteracy and crime in the black community, are also part of the problem; as are those, such as nObama, who insist that drug laws shouldn’t be enforced because that way a lot of black men wouldn’t go to jail, although, as Jason Riley pointed out in his book, only a tiny percentage of black men are incarcerated on drug charges.
.
Of course another solution would be to remove rape, robbery and assault, from the books. Then we wouldn’t need jails at all.
.
Instead of straight talk, though, we have an ambitious young prosecutor named Marilyn Mosby who, hearing the voices of the mob, swore to give them justice, a statement which proved she didn’t even know the meaning of the word. Actually, when she announced, after studying the forensic evidence for all of two minutes, that six Baltimore cops would be indicted -- one of them for first degree murder -- the only voice she heard was the one in her head addressing her as “Mayor Mosby.”
.
♦ Moving on, when I see what the Clintons have been up to, I am reminded that the most addictive drug in the world isn’t heroin or cocaine, it’s greed.
.
When asked if the Clinton Foundation would continue collecting contributions (aka bribes) while Hilly was campaigning, he said, “Oh sure, I have to keep paying our bills.” Inasmuch as neither of them has had to pay for airfare, meals, hotels or even security for the past 14 years, I’m not sure what bills he has in mind, unless, of course, with Monica Lewinsky no longer on call, he’s now actually having to pay hookers.
.
Clinton said he had checked with Hilly about any possible improprieties, and she had assured him that everything was on the up-and-up. That certainly put my suspicions to rest.
.
Clinton also explained that there was nothing unseemly about foreign countries, companies and individuals, paying him upwards of $500,000 for a speech because, after all, he often has to devote as much as two hours to research. The fact that nobody really believes he writes his own material is beside the point. That he would utter such claptrap proves just how out of touch this schmuck is with reality.
.
You would have thought that the amount of ridicule that rained down on Hilly when she claimed they were flat broke in 2001, somehow overlooking the $20 million in book deals waiting for them to turn off the lights in the Lincoln bedroom, would have given him pause. I realize it verges on heresy, but just maybe these two are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Or perhaps they simply share Jonathan Gruber’s contempt for the American voter, a contempt, I hasten to add, that is much deserved, considering that twice in the past seven years the lunkheads elected the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
♦ In related news, hanoi John Kerry told Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif that he wished the United States had a leader like the Ayatollah Khamenei. Funny, but I thought we already had one.

nObama Warns the Coast Guard of Rising Seas, Not Real Threats
Barack nObama stood before the 200 graduates at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. They may have been sitting there, in their crisp white uniforms, but they would soon go out and enforce maritime law, command ships and lead search and rescue missions. What words could the commander in chief give these graduates that they could take to heart as they serve their country? nObama said, "I'm here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security. And make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. And so we need to act — and we need to act now." Instead of mentioning the growing threat of ISIL that will be around longer than his administration, instead of warning about Russia's belligerence, nObama tried to connect his longtime environmental crusade with national security. In fact, he blamed climate change for civil war in Syria: "Understand, climate change did not cause the conflicts we see around the world. Yet ... [i]t's now believed that drought and crop failures and high food prices helped fuel the early unrest in Syria, which descended into civil war in the heart of the Middle East." nObama's address was full of lies.  Rice Boasts of Ending Two Wars 'Responsibly'
National Security Advisor Susan Rice doesn't have a swell history when it comes to accurately describing things. She faithfully started the YouTube video talking points lie regarding Benghazi, and, perhaps less infamously, she declared deserter and likely traitor Bowe Bergdahl served with "honor and distinction." So it's little surprise that she stuck her foot in her mouth once again, this time at a German Embassy photography exhibit of wounded soldiers. With U.S. vets in attendance angry over the recent fall of Ramadi, Rice had the audacity to claim, "Now that we have ended two wars responsibly, and brought home hundreds of American troops, we salute this new generation of veterans." Neither the war in Iraq nor the war in Afghanistan is over. Barack  nObama simply abandoned Iraq, leaving it to the Islamic State, though U.S. forces continue to conduct airstrikes there. American soldiers will remain in Afghanistan for the time being, but the future is uncertain. Either way, "ended" and "responsibly" are not words to describe the actions of this woeful commander in chief.
Finally, a question for Hilly Clinton: Knowing what you know now, would you go along with nObama's plan to retreat from Iraq?  -The Patriot Post

Satellite data has found that the mean global temperature has been sitting on a plateau for more than 18 years now, which is in stark contrast to official government numbers. Just this week, NOAA reported that, at 1.33°F (0.74°C) above average, last month was the fourth warmest April recorded globally, and 2015 so far is the hottest on record. But as we've documented, the agency is currently mired in allegations of misconduct after it was discovered that historical data was manipulated to make post 1970s/1980s warming appear more alarming. And more and more foreign government agencies are engaging in the practice. Last year, "The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (ABM) was ... forced to admit it alters the temperatures recorded at almost all the official weather stations in Australia," H. Sterling Burnett with The Heartland Institute wrote in September. Now, "Switzerland joins a growing list of countries whose temperature measurements have been adjusted to show greater warming than actually measured by its temperature instrument," Burnett revealed this week. Interestingly, he notes, "Even with fudged data, governments have been unable to hide the fact winters in Switzerland and in Central Europe have become colder over the past 20 years, defying predictions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other climate alarmists." Ironically, even data tampering can't hide one inconvenient fact: Temperature trends are defying the science community's predictions.

EMAILS SHOW BLUMENTHAL DEEP INTO HILLY’S BENGHAZI SPIN
A NYT report says soon-to-be-released emails from Hilly Clinton’s secret server reveal that in 2011 then-Secretary of State Clinton “was circulating information about the attacks in Benghazi that contradicted the nObama administration’s initial narrative of what occurred.”
NYT also detailed several emails on Libya from Clinton retainer Sidney Blumenthal, who initially blamed the Benghazi attack on demonstrators: “[two days after the Benghazi attack] Mr. Blumenthal sent Mrs. Clinton a more thorough account of what had occurred. Citing ‘sensitive sources’ in Libya, the memo provided extensive detail about the episode, saying that the siege had been set off by members of Ansar al-Shariah, the Libyan terrorist group. Those militants had ties to Al Qaeda, had planned the attacks for a month and had used a nearby protest as cover for the siege, the memo said. ‘We should get this around asap’ Mrs. Clinton said in an email to [Clinton policy adviser Jake Sullivan]. ‘Will do,’ he responded. That information contradicted the nObama administration’s narrative at the time about what had spawned the attacks.”
Sid who?- Free Beacon: “Controversial Clinton pal Sidney Blumenthal is no longer on the Clinton Foundation payroll, but it is still unclear when he left and under what circumstances. A spokesperson for the foundation told the Washington Free Beacon that Blumenthal ”hasn’t worked here in a while,” but did not confirm when he left or why.”

WITH YOUR SECOND CUP OF COFFEE
The rise of the machines may be a lot closer than we think. New York magazine takes a dive into IBM’s journey to build, not only an intelligent robot, but one that can express emotion. Their major success, named Watson, won jeopardy when he was just four years old. The robot picks up behavior from mimicking those around it, and can put together connections to make its own ‘thoughts.’ For example, Watson could diagnose a patient after hearing the symptoms, but Watson couldn’t understand the patient’s suffering. So why do we care about smart robots? Well, researchers suggest that if robots can do and think for themselves they could take away some of the work from the rest of us.

41% of Americans Want Free Speech Restrictions
(Rob Knowles) - The first amendment is the document that secured in pen our pre-existing right to speak freely. The first amendment didn’t create free speech anymore than the civil rights movement made blacks equal to whites—it simply set an already existing human right into man-made law... The freedom to speak openly without fear of reprisal is not just a human right, it is part of our state of being; it’s as essential to who we are as our consciousness. But there are those who want to suppress this intrinsic right because of their own sensibilities. According to a new YouGov poll, when asked the question: “Would you support or oppose a law that would make it a crime for people to make public comments intended to stir up hatred against a group based on things such as their race, gender, religion, ethnic group, or sexual orientation?” a stunning 41% said yes. This is the plurality. 39% opposed.        http://lastresistance.com/11756/horror-41-of-americans-want-free-speech-restrictions/

nOBAMA'S ATTACK DOGS SURRENDER TO DRUDGE
(wnd.com) - The Federal Election Commission has backed off its plans to regulate political content on the Internet in the face of mounting criticism after it suggested that online political activity should be regulated... During a public meeting, Democrats on the FEC said they were responding to the public outcry in saying that no new rules are required, the Washington Examiner reported in a column by Paul Bedard. Democratic Commissioner Ellen Weintraub said the FEC received approximately 5,000 comments demanding the agency keep its hands off the Internet, Bedard reported. In response, she proposed a resolution that directly barred Internet regulation.        http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/obamas-attack-dogs-surrender-to-drudge/

Gov't violates Constitution millions of times daily
(Judge Andrew Napolitano) - What if we didn’t have a Constitution? What if the government were elected by custom and tradition, but not by law?... What if election procedures and official titles and government responsibilities merely followed those that preceded them, and not because any of this was compelled by law, but because that’s what folks came to expect? What if those elected to office, and those appointed to it, as well, took oaths to uphold the Constitution? What if those who took the oaths promised fidelity to the Constitution? What if the Constitution declares itself to be the supreme law of the land? What if the supreme law of the land means what it says?     http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/govt-violates-constitution-millions-of-times-daily/

Clinton AIDS charity was shut down in Massachusetts
(Jerome R. Corsi) - Why does the Clinton Health Access Initiative Inc., registered as an Arkansas non-profit corporation, continue to list its principal business address in Massachusetts, where its registration was revoked under a previous name, the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative?... While the foundation has provided no explanation, after meticulous examination, Wall Street financial analyst and investor Charles Ortel believes he can demonstrate material irregularities in the state registrations and federal filings of what today is known as the Clinton Health Access Initiative Inc., or CHAI. “These irregularities are of sufficient magnitude that if any of the 50 state attorneys general should present the evidence to a federal district judge, I believe an injunction would be ordered, shutting down the Clinton Foundation and placing the organization in receivership,” he said.       http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/clinton-aids-charity-was-shut-down-in-massachusetts/

Leaked Confirm Hilly Had Highly Sensitive Info On Private Emails
(Alex Griswold) - Emails leaked to The New York Times confirms what many critics have suspected: former Secretary of State Hilly Clinton’s insecure private email server contained highly sensitive information... “Mrs. Clinton’s emails show that she had a special type of government information known as ‘sensitive but unclassified,’ or ‘SBU,’ in her account,” the Times reports. “That information included the whereabouts and travel plans of American officials in Libya as security there deteriorated during the uprising against the leadership of Col. Muammar el Qaddafi in 2011.” One of these sensitive emails was from Ambassador Christopher Stevens, who was murdered in the Benghazi attacks. “Nearly a year and a half before the attacks in Benghazi, Mr. Stevens, then an American envoy to the rebels, considered leaving Benghazi citing deteriorating security, according to an email to Mrs. Clinton marked ‘SBU.'”     http://dailycaller.com/2015/05/21/leaked-emails-confirm-hillary-had-highly-sensitive-info-on-private-emails/

Pentagon says no one should be held accountable for $34 million
(R. Jeffrey Smith) - Camp Leatherneck in southern Afghanistan was not a particularly hospitable base for the tens of thousands of U.S. Marines and other troops who surged there towards the end of the last decade... Sandstorms regularly swept through the treeless landscape, and attacks on the base by Taliban forces claimed lives. The base's initial name was "Tombstone." So it was perhaps understandable when the Marines declared an “operational need” in 2010 for a huge headquarters building at the site, to be outfitted with air conditioning, plush seating and comfortable offices. But the decision to construct a 64,000-foot command and control facility has since come to exemplify the U.S. military’s careless waste in Afghanistan. After $34 million was spent on its construction, the tall, windowless building was never, ever used, except perhaps for target practice by the Taliban, according to U.S. officials. The facility was officially turned over to the Afghan Army last fall, but it remains empty and lies in a part of Afghanistan where U.S. personnel rarely if ever travel now.       http://www.publicintegrity.org/2015/05/20/17362/pentagon-says-no-one-should-be-held-accountable-34-million-debacle?utm_source=email&utm_campaign=watchdog&utm_medium=publici-email&goal=0_ffd1d0160d-1beba55e2c-100318285&mc_cid=1beba55e2c&mc_eid=19f9d76dda

Strategic Failures, the US and the Fall of Ramadi
(Ryan Mauro) - The Sunni tribes in Anbar Province were critical to the success of the 2007 "surge" that ousted the Islamic State's predecessor, Al-Qaeda in Iraq. The deterioration in the relationship between these tribes and the central Iraqi government was likewise critical to the terrorists' comeback in Iraq... The Islamic State remembered these lessons and acted quickly as the Iraqi government began training tribal fighters and the U.S. defense budget allotted $179 million to Kurdish and Sunni tribal forces. The U.S. forgot these lessons and has long rejected Sunni and Kurdish pleas for direct aid to fight the Islamic State. The nObama Administration is now planning to change course and directly arm and train the Iraqi Sunni tribes after the fall of Ramadi. The White House previously chose to work only through the central Iraqi government that has given the Kurds and Sunnis inadequate support.       http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/strategic-failures-us-and-fall-ramadi

WHITE HOUSE DENIES ISIS HAS ESTABLISHED A CALIPHATE
(breitbart.com) - Thursday at the White House press briefing, when asked if he believes ISIS has a caliphate, press secretary Josh Earnest said, “No, I don’t believe that at all.”... Earnest said, “No, I don’t believe that at all. What we actually see is they do control some territory, but less than they used too. We also see that ISIS leaders are very concerned about their own security. They are not moving particularly freely these days. They are justifiably concerned about their safety because they know that the U.S. and our coalition partners have the capacity to take them off the battlefield.” How can one be so stupid?

Hilly knew! Benghazi attack planned by fighters tied to Al Qaeda
(foxnews.com) - A longtime Clinton confidant reportedly advised then-Secretary of State Hilly Clinton two days after the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that an Al Qaeda-tied group had planned the deadly assault and used a protest as cover — but despite this warning... Clinton’s U.N. ambassador went on to publicly claim the attack was “spontaneous.” The guidance from ex-Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal was contained in a memo sent Sept. 13, according to The New York Times. It is the latest documentation effectively contradicting the administration’s early narrative that the attack was driven by protests over an anti-Islam Internet video — and raising questions over why officials stuck to that story for days. According to the Times, Blumenthal initially blamed "demonstrators" angry over that video for the attacks. But the next day, he sent Clinton a very different memo.  According to the Times, Blumenthal told Clinton the attack was driven by Al Qaeda-tied Ansar al-Shariah members who had planned it for a month and used a protest as cover. He cited "sensitive sources."       http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05/21/emails-reportedly-show-confidant-told-clinton-benghazi-attack-planned-by-aq/

Very Few Have Seen THIS Footage Of Elvis’s Last Performance
(gopthedailydose.com) - Elvis Presley is one of the most iconic stars in rock history, as he pretty much invented rock and roll... He inspired so many other artists, it’s impossible to imagine what music would be like today if he had never picked up a guitar. His story is a sad one though, especially towards the end. He got divorced in 1973, and it was pretty much downhill from there. This video is a testament to his strength, filmed only 6 weeks before his untimely death.       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/22/video-very-few-have-seen-this-footage-of-elviss-last-performance-just-leaked-to-the-public/

The ACA’s Unintended Consequences
nObamacare will depress wages and productivity
Casey B. Mulligan

.
(city-journal.org) - As a Supreme Court decision looms next month in King v. Burwell, which could determine the future of nObamacare, much of the economic discussion surrounding the Affordable Care Act (ACA) focuses, understandably, on the law’s effects on insurance premiums and on the delivery of health care. But the ACA also has significant potential to affect the allocation of labor—and thus wages—throughout the U.S. economy, through its penalties for employers that don’t provide health insurance for their workers as well as through its subsidies for individuals to purchase health insurance (the latter of which is the subject of the King case). The employer penalties and the individual subsidies will exert a downward effect on average wages and on wage patterns, across industry sectors and income levels. And because the law privileges certain kinds of businesses over others, it will also reduce productivity.
.
One way to understand this is through Adam Smith’s theory of equalizing differences, through which we can trace and quantify the effects of the employer penalty and the exchange subsidies on wages and productivity. Doing so, I found that, overall, the ACA will reduce wages by $1,000 per year—or about 4 percent of wages for workers from low-income families and nearly 2 percent of wages for workers from higher-income families. Quite distinct from the ACA’s impact on insurance availability and on the quality of health care, these effects should be better understood.
.
To help the uninsured get health-insurance coverage, the ACA created what it calls “health-insurance exchanges,” the collection of policies offered to each state’s residents by private insurance companies, subject to state and federal regulations regarding standardization of policy benefits, provisions, and pricing. Many, but not all, individuals shop on the exchanges by visiting a website that gathers customer information and quotes prices. Most people getting insurance through the exchanges receive financial assistance in up to two ways: reduced insurance premiums (administered through an income-tax credit system) or reduced out-of-pocket health costs, such as co-payments and deductibles. I collectively refer to the two subsidies as “exchange subsidies.”
.
Because exchange subsidies are available only to persons not eligible for affordable employer coverage, the ACA requires that large employers either provide affordable coverage or pay a penalty, computed according to how many full-time employees they have. The law defines a large employer as one with at least 50 full-time-equivalent employees in the calendar year prior to the one in which it failed to provide coverage. (Part-time employees count toward full-time equivalents in proportion to their hours worked.) Unlike employee wages, the penalty is not deductible for the purpose of determining the employer’s business-income tax—and this fact, together with the law’s procedure for indexing the penalty to health-cost inflation, means that the employer penalty in 2016 (the first year in which it will be fully enforced) would be as costly as $3,163 per employee on the full-time payroll beyond 30 employees.
.
Because the cost of the penalty to their employer could cause a reduction in wages or even the loss of their jobs, workers at penalized employers would appear, at first glance, to be losers here. However, as workers leave penalized employers and compete for jobs at employers that do offer coverage (hereafter “ESI employers,” for “employer-sponsored insurance”), they drive down wages at these employers and mitigate some of the penalty’s effect on wages at employers that don’t offer coverage (hereafter, “non-ESI employers”). It would work something like this: among groups of workers earning roughly the same amount, the ACA penalty takes part of the pay of the non-ESI (i.e., penalized) sector. Employees leave the penalized sector to take advantage of the higher ESI-sector pay. The more employees who seek work in the ESI sector, the less ESI employers need to pay for them. At the same time, the more employees who leave the penalized sector, the more the penalized employers are willing to pay the employees who remain. Non-ESI employees, then, will be partially compensated for the penalty-free opportunities existing outside their sector. The newly depressed pay among ESI employees amounts to a hidden tax on these workers: the employer penalty reduces their pay, even though their employers don’t pay it. In effect, penalized employees escape part of their penalty by passing it on to ESI employees.
.
Here is how the father of economics, Adam Smith, explained such a dynamic: “If . . . there was any employment evidently either more or less advantageous than the rest, so many people would crowd into it in the one case, and so many would desert it in the other think “employer penalty”, that its advantages would soon return to the level of other employments.”
.
The wage cut for ESI employees is known in the economics trade as a “compensating” or “equalizing” difference. In effect, all workers pay part of the employer penalty, even when their employer is not penalized. The effect of the employer penalty on employee pay increases with the size of the penalty itself, but it also depends on the size of the non-ESI sector. The larger the non-ESI sector, the more that ESI wages will have to fall in order to absorb workers leaving the sector. A helpful estimate of the amount that the penalty depresses overall wages is the product of the penalty and the non-ESI share of the labor market. In other words, the larger the penalty, or the larger the number of workers at penalized employers, the greater the wage effect.
.
Table 1 shows three estimates, one in each column. The first column pertains to workers in relatively low-income families—those at or below three times the federal poverty line (FPL). The second column pertains to workers in moderate- to high-income families, and the final column summarizes all workers.
