The Patient is Quite ill

The Health of Our Nation

from the desk of Jonathan A. Herbst MD

Dr. Herbst is in solo practice of internal medicine for the past 26 years in his home town of Port Chester, NY. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, B.A. as an Echols Scholar, cum laude, and then the Medical College of Virginia. He served as a captain in the US Army Medical Corps for 4 years, and also has 6 years of Emergency Room experience.

Forty years ago, when I was applying to medical school, America was a different nation. We made the world's best cars. Anything made in Japan was considered inferior junk compared to our nation's wonderful products, and people were terribly proud to be Americans. We were the best. And everyone admired if not loved us.

To be practicing American Medicine in the 1950' through the 1980's was to be in heaven, on the top of the world. The prestige was enormous. Entry to the ranks medical Americana was amazingly competitive. The year that I applied for medical school, there were 26 highly qualified American applicants for every available slot. Becoming a physician was considered the highest and most difficult goal any high school or college student might strive for. Physicians not only made a decent living, but were very respected in society. Only the best of the best in high school actually made it through an extensive weeding out process to become a doctor after many years of hard work and intense non-stop competition. We were the brains. We excelled to such a point, that people whose societies were not so blessed as ours came to America from all over the world, to benefit from what we offered humanity in our exceptional healing arts.

No more. No longer do the best of our high schools brains seek medicine. Rather they have been told by their own doctors, parents and teachers to avoid it at all costs, because it is a path now to an eternal slavery to an insane, incompetent and cruel bureaucracy ruled by government and managed care. Now, in the Mental Hospitals, Medical Hospitals and Emergency Rooms of America we are ministered to by uninterested and uncaring foreigners who cannot relate to our way of life, or our concerns about death. People from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Pakistan and the like, who have no concept of how to communicate, or commiserate with the American patient. In fact, like that terrorist murderer Army psychiatrist Dr. Hasan from the Fort Hood massacre, they may even hate us.

Much of this change has been propelled by urban hospitals desire to obtain cheap labor in the form of large numbers of foreign resident physicians to take care of our urban and indigent populations on the public dole for this and everything else. In American medicine, the American Medical Association, which only claims the membership of 17% of American physicians because of its markedly far left views, has supported this massive influx of foreign doctors so as to continue serve those ne'er do wells so dependent on this curse of welfare. Needless to point out, those miscreants who cling to that soul robbing occupation of nothingness, pay no taxes , but take, take and take from the rest of us. And, they almost always vote Democratic, the exclusive party of nonsensical entitlements. Thus, the reason d'etre for the alliance between the AMA and the Democratic Party and Obama.

In the Emergency room, we see the societal rot daily. A grand parade of the dregs of humanity parades through the ER on we call "Welfare Weekend", that bimonthly federal holiday when welfare checks are dispensed, supplying a waterfall of drugs, booze and ammunition to the misbegotten. The Taxpayer, of course pays. The Knife and Gun Club is in full display. The drinks are on you.

Meanwhile, in the physician's office, Obamacare has begun to make our lives interesting. In my next piece, I will discuss how Obamacare and the ever-expanding government burdens and regulations are crippling your nation's medical care.

SEC Says New FinReg Law Exempts It From Public Disclosure

By Dunstan Prial

Published July 28, 2010

FOXBusiness

So much for transparency.

Under a little-noticed provision of the recently passed financial-reform legislation, the Securities and Exchange Commission no longer has to comply with virtually all requests for information releases from the public, including those filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

The law, signed last week by President Obama, exempts the SEC from disclosing records or information derived from "surveillance, risk assessments, or other regulatory and oversight activities." Given that the SEC is a regulatory body, the provision covers almost every action by the agency, lawyers say. Congress and federal agencies can request information, but the public cannot.

That argument comes despite the President saying that one of the cornerstones of the sweeping new legislation was more transparent financial markets. Indeed, in touting the new law, Obama specifically said it would “increase transparency in financial dealings."

The SEC cited the new law Tuesday in a FOIA action brought by FOX Business Network. Steven Mintz, founding partner of law firm Mintz & Gold LLC in New York, lamented what he described as “the backroom deal that was cut between Congress and the SEC to keep the SEC’s failures secret. The only losers here are the American public.”

If the SEC’s interpretation stands, Mintz, who represents FOX Business Network, predicted “the next time there is a Bernie Madoff failure the American public will not be able to obtain the SEC documents that describe the failure,” referring to the shamed broker whose Ponzi scheme cost investors billions.

The SEC didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Criticism of the provision has been swift. “It allows the SEC to block the public’s access to virtually all SEC records,” said Gary Aguirre, a former SEC staff attorney-turned-whistleblower who had accused the agency of thwarting an investigation into hedge fund Pequot Assett Management in 2005. “It permits the SEC to promulgate its own rules and regulations regarding the disclosure of records without getting the approval of the Office of Management and Budget, which typically applies to all federal agencies.”

Aguirre used FOIA requests in his own lawsuit against the SEC, which the SEC settled this year by paying him $755,000. Aguirre, who was fired in September 2005, argued that supervisors at the SEC stymied an investigation of Pequot – a charge that prompted an investigation by the Senate Judiciary and Finance committees.

The SEC closed the case in 2006, but would re-open it three years later. This year, Pequot and its founder, Arthur Samberg, were forced to pay $28 million to settle insider-trading charges related to shares of Microsoft (MSFT: 25.95 ,-0.21 ,-0.80%). The settlement with Aguirre came shortly later.

“From November 2008 through January 2009, I relied heavily on records obtained from the SEC through FOIA in communications to the FBI, Senate investigators, and the SEC in arguing the SEC had botched its initial investigation of Pequot’s trading in Microsoft securities and thus the SEC should reopen it, which it did,” Aguirre said. “The new legislation closes access to such records, even when the investigation is closed.

“It is hard to imagine how the bill could be more counterproductive,” Aguirre added.

FOX Business Network sued the SEC in March 2009 over its failure to produce documents related to its failed investigations into alleged investment frauds being perpetrated by Madoff and R. Allen Stanford. Following the Madoff and Stanford arrests it, was revealed that the SEC conducted investigations into both men prior to their arrests but failed to uncover their alleged frauds.

FOX Business made its initial request to the SEC in February 2009 seeking any information related to the agency’s response to complaints, tips and inquiries or any potential violations of the securities law or wrongdoing by Stanford.

FOX Business has also filed lawsuits against the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve over their failure to respond to FOIA requests regarding use of the bailout funds and the Fed’s extended loan facilities. In February, the Federal Court in New York sided with FOX Business and ordered the Treasury to comply with its requests.

Last year, the network won a legal victory to force the release of documents related to New York University’s lawsuit against Madoff feeder Ezra Merkin.

FOX Business’ FOIA requests have so far led the SEC to release several important and damaging documents:

•FOX Business used the FOIA to obtain a 2005 survey that the SEC in Fort Worth was sending to Stanford investors. The survey showed that the SEC had suspicions about Stanford several years prior to the collapse of his $7 billion empire.

•FOX Business used the FOIA to obtain copies of emails between Federal Reserve lawyers, AIG and staff at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in which it was revealed the Fed staffers knew that bailing out AIG would result in bonuses being paid.

Recently, TARP Congressional Oversight Panel chair Elizabeth Warren told FOX Business that the network’s Freedom of Information Act efforts played a “very important part” of the panel’s investigation into AIG.

Warren told the network the government “crossed a line” with the AIG bailout.

“FOX News and the congressional oversight panel has pushed, pushed, pushed, for transparency, give us the documents, let us look at everything. Your Freedom of Information Act suit, which ultimately produced 250,000 pages of documentation, was a very important part of our report. We were able to rely on the documents that you pried out for a significant part of our being able to put this report together,” Warren said.

The SEC first made its intention to block further FOIA requests known on Tuesday. FOX Business was preparing for another round of “skirmishes” with the SEC, according to Mintz, when the agency called and said it intended to use Section 929I of the 2000-page legislation to refuse FBN’s ongoing requests for information.

Mintz said the network will challenge the SEC’s interpretation of the law.

“I believe this is subject to challenge,” he said. “The contours will have to be figured out by a court.”

Acorn is still active (and crooked) in its new reincarnation.

I'd suggest that it is absolutely imperative to have groups of younger people and those in the military present at the voting booths.

They MUST check that the "voter" is actually legal while their presence should counter or deter Obama's thugs. Those who act as a counter to the thugs, need not spend a whole day, but should be available to answer any calls for "muscle" support. Those who volunteer for this support could remain at home, but on short notice to address any threats.

Every voting station should have such a group to protect their vote!

ON GINGRICH: A LEGACY OF SURRENDER

Same old, same old. Where is that fresh face, with the conviction to stand their ground against tyranny, corruption, and a complicit press? We are living in a new age, where politicians openly disregard protocol, tradition, the rule of law, and the all important Constitution of the United States of America.

It’s said “there are lies, damn lies and statistics . . .” Another little homily goes “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” President Obama is now predicting 9% unemployment next year and full employment by 2016 . . . how much faith should you place in those projections? You do remember the State of the Union Address and all the Obama administration hoopla in early February, don’t you? The very first economic projections that went along with the President’s glowing economic predictions back then are approaching their early August due date. It’s called the “Mid-Session Review.” Not surprisingly, according to Obama's own standards, virtually every economic indicator in the MSR is worse or even much worse than the administration’s own February budget projected. Federal deficits are expected to be $8.474 trillion over the next ten years. That figure is, thankfully, only $150 billion more than Obama anticipated in February’s budget . . . and that is the sum of the “good news.”

Our Federal Public Debt was $5.8 trillion in 2008 an enormous burden brought upon us by both political parties. However, MSR now after 18 full months of Obama’s devastating economic policies projects that debt will grow to roughly 2.33 times its present size in five years to $13.3 trillion and to 3.19 times the present level to $18.5 trillion in ten years. That would then amount to over 68% of GDP and $440 billion higher than they estimated in February. In 2020 the United States will be $26.6 trillion in arrears. Out of control Democratic spending is driving these deficits and this national debt. Republicans have opposed every idiotic proposal along the way, for all the good it did them or us. An overall 84% increase in non-defense discretionary spending by Mr. Obama makes his projection for 9% unemployment in 2011 and full employment by 2016, utterly laughable especially since they’re recently added $31 Billion in new proposals (for the next ten years that were NOT in the February version of the unofficial budget (the administration has NOT created an official budget yet.

Reality is a hard mistress who, if you don’t respect her, will surely make you life a living hell . . . so it with the MSR and ignorance of economic truth and history is no excuse . . . .

Item #1: The proximate cause for the financial debacle in late 2007 was the sub-prime lending crisis first mentioned as a future danger by James Stack of investech.com in November, 2003. The potential proximate causes of that disaster were linked to that meltdown potential in July, 2005, by the Bush administration which was unable to pass legislation undoing the five bad laws which brought us to the edge of danger – the first “bad-loan” mortgage guarantee law known as the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 (CRA ’77**) and the four expansions of CRA ’77 (in ’92 expansion to also embrace the requirement for mortgage guarantees by Franny Mae and Freddy Mac; two more expansions of CRA ’77 in 1995; and the steroid version expansion of CRA ’77 in 1998. All driven by progressive elements in the Republican and especially Democratic Parties. Our president was actually an ACORN lawyer from ’95-97 shaking down financial institutions as ACORN forced them to live up to the absurd letter of these four bad laws. After Obama was gone other ACORN lawyers had an even easier time forcing bad loans when the ’98 expansion of CRA ’77 occurred. The net result is that even after creating our 2007-2008 financial Armageddon, those laws are 98% still on the books so the next version of ACORN can force loans to people without ID; people without jobs; people without rental history; people with horrific credit rating and even loans to illegal aliens. So not only is our financial crisis not over . . . not only is our president creating programs to bankrupt us well into the future . . . not only has spending increased 84% . . . but also the seeds of the last financial crisis have been nurtured and are ready to bloom again. Those are the facts.

Item #2: Mr. Obama is really a communist, but since 55% of Americans call him a “socialist,” let us be content to understate the case and say, Mr. Obama is a socialist . . . and therefore his allegiance is to the labor unions and he harbors immense animosity toward business and toward the wealthy entreprenuers who create businesses and expand businesses and create jobs. He has in his bailouts and buyouts, in his manipulation of the two auto bankruptcies, in his stimulus plan, in his Obamacare, in his new Financial law, etc. gone out of his way to benefit the labor unions at the expense of the American people, the business leaders and the wealthy. And what fact is being violated here? Americans getting $20.00 per hour on the assembly line of a union company canNOT compete with desperate, hard-working foreigners who are content to work for 68 cents an hour over a thirteen hour day with minimal benefits. In large part the unions have made us uncompetitive. Most American jobs nows are being created in the service area rather than the manufacturing area . . . count on it, that means they don’t pay beans compared to what old GM workers were earning even back in 1984. So where are the Obama jobs “created or saved?” The bulk of them are in government or teaching or semi-civil service positions like police and fire-fighting . . . jobs that produce exactly ZERO! Jobs that create exactly ZERO PROFIT. Are we starting to get the picture here, Mr.

Obama believes that government throwing money around creates jobs, real jobs in the real marketplace . . . Mr. Obama has his head deep, deep up inside his lower intestine. Mr. Obama is anti-profit and doesn’t understand the most simple facet of economics . . . wealth creates real jobs, real jobs create real wealth and left to its own devices this is the engine of prosperity. You’ll never see a fire-fighter, police officer, teacher, union official, union member, or service worker creating jobs . . . real jobs come from real wealth and the real basis of real wealth is not the service industry but real production of real goods. Ultimately it comes to that and Mr. Obama is doing everything 100% bass-ackward and instead of building our economy is seemingly determined to undermine it so it will never create a single job again. Right now he’s about to raise taxes on the rich again . . . surprise, they’ve got the power to take their ball and go home and leave you without an economy, Mr. Obama.

Item #3: Everything Mr. Obama and the unions have done in their history have made America and American workers completely unattractive to investment and even to those who’d loan us money. The American workplace with all its anti-business regulations has become the least attractive jobs environment the world has ever known. The movement of American corporations to other jobsites in the world was a natural result of that UGLY-Anti-AMERICAN, Anti-business climate and under Mr. Obama that trend has grown into a galloping reality. The only place non-government jobs are being created is in low-wage retail and service jobs.

Item #4: Mr. Obama is so out of touch that he is seeking to pass legislation “creating” five million green-tech jobs. If the Spanish green-tech job experience is any judge, that means he’s talking first about losing eleven million real jobs from the real economy to subsidize those green-tech jobs. Then only about 1/10 of those green jobs will prove permanent so at a cost of eleven million real jobs he will have created 500,000 permanent green-tech jobs . . . a 22/1 ratio which is why Spain went from 3% unemployment in 1997 to 21% unemployment today. Mr. Obama doesn’t understand economics and still believes in the tooth fairy version of Keynesian Economics that purports that governments can create real jobs. Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1879. We have not yet seen a similar breakthrough in solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy or any electrical generation of energy more efficient than using fossil fuels such as coal, gas, natural gas, or even so-called “oil-shale.” We could abandon the rest and take the least advanced technologically of all these fossil-fuel industries (oil shale) and in ten years if government got completely out of its way, have America far better off than it is now energywise. We could, on the otherhand, subsidize solar, ethanol, wind and geothermal experiments for twenty years and most likely be not much further than we are now. There is a time, Mr. Obama, for every purpose under heaven and all your audacious hope won’t change that time one second.

Item #5: Barack Obama wrote the manual on how to lie with statistics, seemingly making up about 60% of those he spouts off in interviews. Certainly his “jobs created and/or saved” is total malarky. The number of people without jobs period is roughly 17.8% at present. The number of under-employed people with part-time work only is another 4.4%. The number of under-employed people with jobs paying far less than the jobs they lost is roughly 5.7%. The number of people still on the unemployment rolls is roughly only about 9.6% . . . . how do “jobs created or saved” fit in with those greater truths?

All the following are real, not Obama-generated, statistics and all of them were bad when he took office but have become much, much worse because of his hateful interference in the economy:

61 percent of Americans "always or usually" live paycheck to paycheck, which was up from 49 percent in 2008 almost a 25% jump under Obamanomics

36 percent of Americans say that they don't contribute anything to retirement savings.

24 percent of American workers over age 50, say that they have postponed their planned retirement age in the past year.

Over 1.4 million Americans filed for personal bankruptcy in 2009, a 32 percent increase over 2008.

For the first time in U.S. history, banks** own a greater share of residential housing net worth in the United States than all individual Americans put together.

In the United States, the average federal worker now earns 60% MORE than the average worker in the private sector. Unionized federal workers earn about 112% more. That means that a lot of money that might be stimulating the economy is being wasted on government.

In America today, the average time needed to find a job has risen to a record 35.2 weeks.

More than 40 percent of Americans who actually are employed are now working in service jobs, which are often very low paying.

For the first time in U.S. history, more than 40 million Americans are on food stamps, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture projects that number will go up to 43 million Americans in 2011.

This is what American workers now must compete against: in China a garment worker makes approximately 86 cents an hour and in Cambodia a garment worker makes approximately 22 cents an hour.

Thanks to Obama and union demands in this country, the rate of job outsourcing by major corporations, increased 18% in 2009.

Approximately 21 percent of all children in the United States are living below the poverty line in 2010 - the highest rate in 20 years.

As you look at what exactly Mr. Obama has done to you, here’s a good website to visit showing you what the brunt of your tax burden is in three scenarios:

http://mytaxburden.org/

for sure, one way or another tax increases are the #1 most likely scenario that Obamanomics has brought our way. $2.55 TRillion over the next ten years from “allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire” or “closing the loopholes in the tax code” or whatever spin they want to put on it. Life gets a bit harder.

Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,

About the Age of Aquarius

When I put my thoughts together, I get a picture others don’t get. Numerologists say I’m here to use and develop my mind. Astrologer Jeanne Avery says as an Aquarius rising I walk to the beat of a different drummer. She says I may be the person to bring back information that has been lost to civilization for centuries; that I may be the forerunner for setting style and discovering new methods for showing the rest of humanity the way. She says that I know where the fruit grows and where the spotlight can hit. It’s a natural for me. It’s my karmic mission.

Long before civilization, man imagined monsters, witches, sorcerers, demons, and such as that. Shamans, certain of us with magical powers, fought evil forces. Then, in the valley formed by the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, by 3000 BC an astonishingly different panorama developed. Cities sprawled on the banks of the rivers, behind which stretched fields of golden grain. Magnificent palaces and temples rose. Hundreds of artisans produced all manner of goods. Processions of worshipers moved through streets to temples. Descendants of the Stone Age, with their fertile minds, Babylonians transformed what was once a wasteland into a thriving civilization. They established government, religion, the written word, and mathematics. With mathematics, they produced great engineering feats. Also, with mathematics they mapped the heavens. They created the astrological zodiac and twelve ages. They must have known about the earth’s wobble and the northern axis pointing to each of twelve star constellations over a period of about 26,000 years.

This unique advancement of mankind between the Tigris and Euphrates began in 9000 BC. We are the product of 14,000 years of civilized advances. I’m reminded of the stray cat hanging around. He so wants to be part of us. He rubs up against us and rolls on the ground. He looks at us with longing eyes and meows. For thousands of years, cats have been domesticated. It is in their nature to want to be part of us.

We read in the Bible in Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image.” In Genesis 3, Eve is tempted to eat the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The serpent in the tree tells her to eat and possess the knowledge of good and evil, the same as the gods. We know good and evil. In Exodus 3, When Moses said to God, “when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them?” God said to tell them “I AM THAT I AM.”

Let us make man in our image; we know good and evil, same as the gods; I AM THAT I AM, Babylonian priests decided that the sign of Aquarius meant brotherhood. Jesus, who was born at the beginning of the Age of Pisces, said we are our brother’s keeper. We are entering the Age of Aquarius, leaving the Age of Pisces. Babylonian priests gave Pisces the sign of two attached fish swimming in opposite directions, meaning indecisiveness. This reads out to say that after a couple of thousands years of indecisiveness, not knowing who we are and what we are about, about to find out that we are our brother’s keeper.

Along with the Babylonian examination of the heavens mathematically, for additional proof, we’ve got a new way of looking at ourselves, by taking apart the microcosmic world mathematically and making a determination of who we are and what we are about. Quantum physicist Evan Harris Walker, in the Physics of Consiciousness: “We find that what we had thought was an independent and objective physical world is in fact contingent on the observer.” With the advent of quantum theory, the cutting edge of science has discovered that we exist as more than matter. “The observer emerges as a co-equal in the foundry of creation. . . The tests of Bell’s theorem have shown us that objective reality as it has been conceived is not the true fabric of reality.”

From my library, now comes Richard Tarnas and Cosmos and Psyche. Tarnas, a distinguished philosopher and cultural historian, demonstrates in this book the existence of an astonishingly consistent correspondence between planetary alignments and the archetypal patterns of human history and biography. Turning to “Word Wars, Cold War, and September 11,” he examines the unfavorable alignment of Pluto with Saturn that commenced in the month and year that Barrack Obama was elected President of the United States, calling this unfavorable alignment indicative of the “destruction of an earlier mode of life that in retrospect may seem to have been marked by widespread indulgence, decadence, naiveté, denial, and inflation.” This unfavorable alignment lasts until the Mayan calendar predicts the end of this world.

My astrological chart shows my ruling planet, Uranus, had transited from the time of my birth to a position opposing itself in my forties, meaning change was coming. Prior to the change, I’d studied the Constitution and imagined voices from the past speaking to me, giving me a bigger than life challenge. I acted and my life changed for the better.

As an observer, I interact with matter. Consciousness, says Walker, is the substance of a newfound reality. The laws of physics leave open a range of happenings, says Walker. Behind this selection is the will. “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” as intelligent beings and lords of our own thoughts, capable of dealing with any situation, and with the transforming and regenerative agency to make of ourselves what we will, says James Allen in As a Man Thinketh, with this trinity of man, mind, and God, we are now at the threshold of the Age of Aquarius, an age of brotherhood, “the water-bearer, who spills out to mankind the life-force and spiritual energy,” we read in Astrologer’s Handbook, welcome to the Age of Aquarius.

British Health Care System Verging on Collapse
“A month of nights, a year of days
Octobers drifting into Mays
I set my sail as the tide comes in
Then I cast** my fate to the wind”
All’s superwell in God’s Heaven. ‘Tis indeed a wonderful world, especially when we can just let go because all the nasty irrelevancies are out of our way. Under those conditions, your health is everything, and just owning good health is the key to Eden . . . uh-oh those damn irrelevancies again . . . .
The love of Obamacare Czar Donald Berwich’s life may be near death and so he might need to find another lover. Berwick, who launches into rapture everytime he speaks of the British National Health System that Obamacare was modeled upon has gone so far as to say, “I just love the British health system,” and to talk of ‘her’ as a “seductress.” Unfortunately, the Brits are now talking about the potential for their National Health System to totally collapse. The Brit program, like Obamacare, has turned out to be everything a FOX News commentator named Glenn Beck said it was. Besides its numerous other faults discussed in detail at:
Obamacare has been openly called “redistributional” by Berwick on at least three separate occasions; and Berwick has said that “It’s not a question of ‘IF’ rationing takes place but of ‘HOW’ rationing takes place.” Since we’re talking about Obamacare being modelled upon the British example that would mean the biggest rationing would be for infants and children under three years of age; and for citizens over 60 years of age. From age 3 to age 60, the British system is probably not all that bad . . . well, then again . . . .
The British base their system on a value of a human life of $45,000 and getting more than $45,000 worth of care for a toddler or for a senior or for others in iffy medical straits is not in the cards usually. What exactly Obama and Berwick and the Progressive Left see to admire in the British system and in Obamacare really is a shocking concept.
A. First and foremost they presumably like that the first two Obamacare outlets set up in the country in New Mexico and Pennsylvania have set up abortion payments, (Sorry Bart Stupak, but Barack was just funning you when he promised abortions wouldn’t be funded!)
B. That $45,000 price tag that doesn’t amount to a “death panel” now does it. Oh, wait, the talk is that the price tag for Obamacare will be $150,000, well that’s a lot better, huh?
C. Perhaps it’s the rosy statistics on chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease and stroke? Britain’s cancer survival rate ranges between 40.2 percent and 48.1 percent for men and between 48 percent and 54.1 percent for women, compared with 66 percent for U.S. men and 63 percent for U.S. women. The story behind that rate differential in the British System would take several pages, it’s ugly. But suffice it to say that top cancer survival rates of 48.1% for men and 54.1% for women are abysmal.
D. About 6-7% of British patients are rich enough to pay for medical insurance and avoid needing to brave NHS, but choice of treatment is virtually impossible for the rest of the populace.
E. And, of course within the British model there are some “rogue doctors” who work privately outside the system – which is where those who can afford it go rather than risk their life within socialized medicine . . . so the poorest treatment is mostly foisted off on the poorest people – that’s OK, right?
Well, in any case, if the British National Health Care System goes under as it seems it might, that might really steam the 60% of Americans now already calling for the repeal of Obamacare . . . might even add a few more voices to the outcry . . . .
Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,

** Cast Your Fate to the Wind lyrics by David Benoit was a very popular song but the instrumental was ultra-popular and had three or four revivals. Not sure who composed the melody. The rendition by bent-note artist Floyd Cramer of “The Last Date” fame is Rajjpuut’s favorite. When Ol' Rajjpuut gets stressed music like that or Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" usually do the trick.

WHAT I THINK WOULD BE MORE PRUDENT IS TO ENCOURAGE OUR BLACK, ASIAN, HISPANIC AND NATIVE AMERICAN EMPLOYEES AND THEIR FAMILIES TO SHARE THEIR TRUE CONSERVATIVE BELIEFS ON THE TEAPARTY.ORG WEBSITES.
*
I HAVE SEVERAL MINORITIES THAT WORK FOR US AND ARE HAPPY. THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO DO IT IF I ASKED THEM TO.
*
THESE ARE HAPPY WORKERS WHO ARE ALWAYS SMILING AND ARE NOT A BUNCH OF ANGRY LIBERALS
*
THEY WOULD LIKELY DO THIS FOR FREE AND WOULD ALLOW THEIR PICTURES APPEAR ON THE TEAPARTY.ORG SITE
*
REMEMBER THE "UNSHACKLED BLACK MAN"?
*
WE COULD HAVE "LIBERATED LATINO" OR THE "AMERICANIZED ASIAN" - ALL TO INCLUDE PICTURES OF THEM SMILING, ALONG WITH THEIR TESTIMONIALS.
*
HOW COULD I SOLICIT THE PARTY'S HELP?
*
THIS WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT STORY AND IT WOULD EMBARRASS THOSE LIBERALS WHO CLAIM THAT WE ARE AN ALL-WHITE ORGANIZATION INFILTRATED BY MILLIONS OF RACISTS!!
*
WHITE RACISTS ARE VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THESE DAYS, AND AS A WHITE MALE, I HAVE NEVER MET ONE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
*
I COULD BE A PART OF THIS STORY TOO
*
AGAIN, HOW COULD I SOLICIT THE PARTY'S HELP IN A FEATURE STORY ON MY EMPLOYEES AND OTHERS LIKE THEM OR THEIR FAMILIES?

KNOW WHEN TO HOLD 'EM

There is an ongoing struggle to maintain truth and accuracy in history today. We see the destruction of historical truth in our schools; the anti-semite Oliver Stone has taken atrocious liberties in his upcoming 10 part Showtime series (which should be boycotted) about Stalin, Mao, Hitler and the Holocaust; and our universities are rife with liberalism and their distortion of history.

Between 12-18 years of age, Rajjpuut read almost all the works of Mark Harris, Walter Tevis, John Steinbeck and Mark Twain. One memorable line he encountered in Spanish in a Steinbeck novel was “. . . the only wh_re he found was his unfaithful wife” (loose translation of a Spanish barroom proverb from “East of Eden” ???) which struck the then very naïve Rajjpuut as the ultimate word in betrayal . . . certainly today the adult Rajjpuut might refer to recent revelations via wiki-leak and call Pakistan "an unfaithful wife" as a result.

Rajjpuut generally believes that leakers of secret and top secret documents deserve death or death and dismemberment for betraying our country and putting all of us, especially our military at risk -- however, the wikileak revelation of a huge stockpile of Afghanistan War documents might just prove to be a blessing in disguise. You see, it appears that our military and our state department have been lying to us and apparently to themselves for at least six years now as they’’ve relied upon Pakistan as an ally against the Taliban-led insurgency in Afghanistan and provided that same Pakistan with $6 Billion in military aid just for the purpose of fighting that insurgency. In other words we have been married to an unfaithful spouse whose promiscuity has betrayed us to point of literally making our troops murder victims . . . .

Besides all the other foolish short-sightedness tied up in this notion, is the fact that A) Pakistan has a nuclear-armed military which could fall into the Taliban’s hands, as well as that initial release by wikileak of documents indicates that B) Bin Laden’s whereabouts is probably known by the Pakistani secret police C) that money given by America may be financing the Taliban and Al Queda D) under Bin Laden an Al Queda burser may be attending meetings with Iran on one side of Pakistan and with the North Koreans in Pakistan itself to arrange weapons deals and E) when drone missiles hit Al Queda and Taliban targets in Pakistan, Pakistani secret police have played a role in spreading the uproar over “the deaths of innocent civilians” by the Americans. Now we (the American people) know who our enemies are and we can demand our military face the facts.

Rajjpuut suggests not one dime more be paid to Pakistan until Bin Laden is delivered to us; until the Taliban and Al Queda are rooted out of Pakistan and North Korean and that Pakistan be informed that further aid or comfort or complicity in hiding Taliban and Al Queda be announced as grounds for war against Pakistan. Since as a practical matter it’s very likely that none of these laudable demands/goals will be forthcoming, Rajjpuut suggests a different approach concentrating upon 100% drone protection of the border of Afghanistan from encroachment by Iran, by forces from Pakistan, from all others within two miles into Pakistan, etc. and within six miles inside Afghanistan. That should provide our troops with a seven mile “buffer zone” and ample opportunity for satellite reconnaissance internal to Afghanistan to allow us a huge strategic and tactical advantage over any trespassers . . . and the opportunity village by village to rout out the Taliban and for our nation-building projects to work. AMEN!

The Fight begins with Prayer

For many years now our great land has been moving further and further away from God andPrayer. This is a shame since it is precisely our dependence on God and Prayerthat made us the greatest nation on earth. We owe our freedom and our strength toOur Founding Fathers and the Declaration of Independence and Constitution thatthey wrote for us as well as on the military men and women who have beenwilling and able to fight for the freedoms we enjoy so much in our preciouscountry.

The movement away for TRUTH and decency began in earnest, as I see it, back in the sixtiesand seventies with the free love movement and the attitude of do anything aslong as it does not hurt you or someone else. Abortion was the final nail inour coffin. What about Almighty God and His simple and very basic TenCommandments that are so evident in our founding documents. What about thankingHim for life instead of killing innocent children in their mother wombs. Whatabout getting on our knees and asking Him for the help to follow the simplerules He gave us. How about asking Himto help us chart a course back onto the road our Declaration of Independenceand Constitution lay out for us. Ask Him to help us to remain free and prosperous.

It seems in this day and age and in fact for so many years government has tried to tell uswe don’t need God but that we do need bigger government. They take Prayer outof our schools and God off our monuments and we wonder what is wrong with oursociety. The government tells us we are supposed to depend on it for everythingand forget God. This current administration is pounding our great and wonderfulnation into oblivion in an attempt to replace God with a new savior,"O". Well I for one am sick and tired of the disgusting rhetoric thatspews from their mouths like so much sickening vomit.

The only way we are going to be strong enough to change the course we are on is to get downon our knees and pray to the All Knowing and Loving God we seem to haveabandoned and beg for His help. I am proposing then a spiritual revival of thekind that will bring a lasting change to our great land. From now on we, as a nation, can spend onehour or more every Tuesday in deep and sincere prayer to Our Loving God askingHim for help and guidance. Then we must listen to His response and act on it.We need to get off our butts and onto our knees.

Then when we are faced with those things we know are wrong we will have the courage to standup for what is right and sacred and not fear the government and in particularthis administration that lies to us through its teeth while leading US DOWN THEPATH OF OUR OWN DEMISE. With prayer and God on our side we will again prevailas we did in 1776 and for so many years afterward. We can and will take backour great Nation and we will pass on to our children a land that is free andbrave instead of cowering under political correctness.

The path is as clear as the nose on our faces. Prayer, TRUTH and courage will again set usfree. In this way the lives of so many millions of our military men and womenwill not have been laid down in vain. God, Prayer, and Country WILL prevail.

On November 2, 2010 we will show the world the United States is a great, powerful andconservative Nation that does love God and our fellow man. We will show thisadministration that we want smaller government and more individual freedom tobe responsible for ourselves.

We will NEVER again crisscross the globe begging forgiveness for being the standardbearer of Freedom for the great multitude.

Please pass this on and then begin your prayers in earnest.

The British National Health Care System has calculated that a human life is worth $45,000 . . . Obama recess-appointee Donald Berwick calls himself, ". . . in love with the British system . . . "

Even Gold Taxation Part of Obamacare

Infamously, the Squeaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi told us “we’ll have to pass it, so you can find out what’s in it . . . .” and then she promised us, “. . . but, you’ll like it.” Clearly she was lying again. Obamacare (though it was only one bill) created almost 390 brand new U.S. government agencies (almost ten times as much as FDR created in 12+ years in office):

http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2010/jul/26/letters-to-the-editor-monday/?partner=yahoo_feeds

Item: The link above shows you that the Brits value a human life at $45,000. And Donald Berwick has said, "I am in love with the British system." Why exactly is that important? Consider this, Lee Iacocca before he went to Chrysler to bankrupt them and earn them their 1979 bailout, worked at Ford and is most infamous for designing the Pinto with its exploding gas tanks. As early as 1972 (38 years ago) Iacocca had put such stringent limits on Pinto design as far as costs, weight, passenger compartment maximum volume, trunk minimum volume, etc. that when he and his toadies were presented with evidence of the potential for catastrophic failure of the Pinto, he refused to add a $9.95 fix that would have made the Pinto a perfectly safe automobile. The reason? At that time the cost of a human life was reckoned by insurance anlaysis at precisely $200,000 and cost-benefit analysis said the Pinto would be more profitable without the $9.95 per car safety improvement. It was literally "all about 'trunk^^ space' " according to insider testimony. Well, in the case of Donald Berwick, Barack Obama and Obamacare, it's all about coffin space.

Item: As the Republicans told you, there are NO provisions for controlling costs or improving health, not one.

Item: The elderly will definitely now pay for a much, much larger percentage of their own healthcare costs . . . soon with their fixed incomes ravaged by inflation (more on that later).

Item: Unlike what Bart Stupak said Obama promised him, federally funded elective abortions are now the law of the land. Remember that fellow that yelled out “You liar!” when Obama was addressing the congress and the president said that abortion would NOT be covered, well he was correct but will NOT be getting apologies any time soon, now will he? The very first two institutions to set up shop for Obamacare in New Mexico and Pennsylvania began by immediately providing for abortion coverage. Regardless of your particular stance on abortion, one thing 78% of Americans agree upon is that the U.S. government should NOT pay for elective non-health threatening surgeries with abortion #1 on their "don't pay list."

Item: we now know beyond a doubt, the deficits and national debt will surge rather than shrink because of Obamacare. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has dramatically ratcheted up its evaluation of Obamacare costs and of course they didn't even consider the separate "doctor-fix" that congress just passed.

Item: You will be able to keep your same health care insuror and same doctor only if you’re lucky. Most likely if you’re part of a small- or medium-sized business, your employer will be forced by the economics of the issue (expense!) to abandon providing health care for his/her employees and pay a less expensive fine for not doing so. You’ll then have to provide your own health insurance, sorry 'bout that.

Item: As Obama’s new healthcare head (recess-appointee of a yet another communist, not just socialist, on the sly) Donald Berwick has informed us, this socialized medicine approach known as Obamacare WILL indeed be “rationing healthcare” and must "by definition, to be just" indeed “be redistributional.” Berwick is a real winner. He describes himself as a "fan of socialized medicine but everything about him revealed in his published works goes light years beyond mere socialism. He believes that intelligent planning by people like him is best for you, especially in health care. He is also essentially a phony: the Washington Times reported that two Harvard professor positions claimed for Dr. Berwick were essentially "honorary" posts with minor teaching and administrative duties. He has described himself as "in love with the British National Health Care System," which has 1.6 times the percentage of cancer deaths as we do here in America. A system where long waits have repeatedly and constantly been written up in the English press as causes of tragedies where people in their emergency rooms die of dehydration and bleed to death or asphyxiate while waiting to be seen..

http://eyeblast.tv/public/video.aspx?v=XdZukUuz2G

Item: What Obamacare definitely does do is: in time wipe out the health insurance industry; create 390 new government bureaucracies; extend government control over Americans to life and death matters (sorry, Grandma, but it’s just too expensive, the government won’t pay for it); create long waiting lines for services; provide for abortions funded by the government (you can bet they won’t be rationed!); and add to the mountains of debt. The appointment of Donald Berwick will make the American health care system a device for population control by medical rationing. Read debt, death, long lines, poor quality care as well.

Item: There are many surprises, but here’s an example of just how invasive the bill is into every day life. If, you like Rajjpuut, see the government’s invasion into every aspect of our daily lives as certain to prompt inflation, than runaway inflation and ultimately*** hyper-inflation – you may have considered putting some money into gold. One of the Obamacare provisions will now tax gold coin and bullion transactions (nothing wrong with taxing profits, but taxing every single transaction amounts to a federal sales tax which is, at the moment unconstitutional). That tax itself and the amount of paperwork required will make gold transactions much more expensive. So much for trying to look out for yourself because the government was inflating the currency . . . .

Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,

Rajjpuut

^^ Figuratively "all about trunk space" means that putting every single item, including human life, into a dollar and cents evaluation of cost versus benefit was the corporate mindset of Iacocca's Pinto division when they made their decisions; and the fault was NOT all with them. Apparently every one of their studies and those of their competitors literally showed that car buyers were about Eight times more likely to reject an automobile based upon trunk space than its safety features or lack of them. Stupid on both ends, eh?

*** because the Federal Reserve Bank printed 14 times as many dollars in 2009 as were circulating in 2008, technically each 2010 dollar is now worth about 6.6 cents in 2008 money. 14 + 1 = 15 times as much money in circulation so with 100 pennies in each dollar 100/15 = 6.6 cents

WATCH GLENN TV TONIGHT 5PM EST. Sounds like the entire week is going to be very informative.

Glenn reveals: Take it from a leftist and lifelong activist who has actually studied 'movements' carefully - the Tea Party is at a critical stage. This 'Movement Action Plan' put together by Bill Moyer in 1987 demonstrates that the Tea Party may be in stage 5 of this plan - the toughest part to get through before any movement succeeds.

New Thought

I love the idea behind the Tea Party, a gathering of individuals with the common goal to size down government. The progressives for big government call us racist. They call FoxNews racist. They can’t tell the truth. They are losers.

“Looking to Jesus” Joe Smith style is quite off the beaten track. Join me for a walk down a new trail I discovered. It will make you healthier, wealthier, and wiser.

To tell the truth, basic to all life is food, some other living organism on which to feed. In order to live, some other life must be sacrificed. Big fish feed on little fish. Little fish camouflage themselves or seek refuge in places big fish can’t go.

Nature’s law has advanced life by making it more difficult to protect one’s self and more difficult to take one’s life. With the appearance of man, survival became a battle of wits. Then came morals, the sense of good and evil to confuse the issue of survival. A capitalist compares to the big fish. It remains a battle of wits: how to make something look good or evil. Thus, “The Tea Party is racist.”

As if man’s battle for survival were not bizarre enough already, a new dimension of thought enters the fray: quantum mechanics, which deals with the smallest excitations of a quantized wave or field. The idea is completely out of range of human sensibilities. It relies solely on deduction. Along with quantum mechanics comes the Age of Aquarius, a deduction of the ancients, the matching of the microcosmic with the macrocosmic: “on earth as it is in heaven.” Some of us find too many coincidences here to call it coincidence.

The ancients saw the Age of Aquarius we now enter as one of brotherhood. Quantum physicists, by adding conscious awareness to the mix of things, have found that we humans, more than life depending on other life to survive, although the evidence is there in the microcosmic world, convention refuses to accept the deduction. I’m left to decide for myself.

I happened to have come to life with a questioning mind. I soon became aware that we are all subjective. Quantum physicists back me on this. My parents told me that I asked too many questions. It made me question all the more. I questioned my Christian religion. I didn’t like the answers. I questioned my government. I didn’t like the answers. I looked within and got the right answers. Everything I’d been taught was wrong for me. With my expanded awareness, my life improved. With its pack of outlandish misrepresentations of the facts, it seems that the idea of the establishment is to limit our awareness in order to maintain control of us. I look at it as stealing our energy.

We read in the Bible, “Let us make man in our image.” By making myself in my image, I made my life good. By making man in “our image,” the idea being the majority sucker image, I find from observation that it is not working to the individual’s advantage. It is working to the big fish’s advantage; stealing our energy. It goes back to what Jesus said. We’re our brother’s keeper. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The establishment, by calling the Tea Party racist, wants it to be do unto others before they do unto you.

I had a bigger than life calling. If we but knew it, we are more than matter. According to the ancients and the cutting edge of science, we are mind interacting with matter. According to the ancients, so is the microcosm, so is the macrocosm, and likewise the same with the cutting edge of science. If we but knew it, with the power of God in us to cope with any situation in which we find ourselves, the proper goal is to size down government and thereby enhance the individual’s control of his life. Welcome to the Age of Aquarius, an age of brotherhood.
