ObamasonofShiite

Iranian opposition activist: “Obama is the son of a Shiite father… Some people call him the Iranian lobby in America.”

This claim has been going around for years. One reason why it never dies is because Obama never does anything to disconfirm it. “Commentators on Arab TV: Obama Supports Iran Because His Father Was a Shiite,” MEMRI, n.d. (thanks to Steve): On March 25, during an interview on Hiwar TV, broadcasting from London, Syrian writer […]

Video: Robert Spencer on Hillary Clinton’s war against free speech

Last Tuesday, April 14, 2015, I was the featured speaker at the David Horowitz Freedom Center’s Wednesday Morning Club. I discussed Hillary Clinton’s war against the freedom of speech, explaining how Clinton as Secretary of State, along with others in the Obama Administration and Barack Obama himself, knowingly and actively aided the advance of the […]

Ohio: Muslims cry “racism and bigotry” over cancellation of public school hijab promotion

This Cincinnati Enquirer report about this controversy is not as bad as it could have been, given the mainstream media’s policy of obfuscating the reality of the global jihad. It is full of the usual nonsense: those who oppose the promotion of Islam in a public school are guilty of “racism” and “bigotry” — charges […]

Australia: Muslims plotted Islamic State-inspired jihad attack; Victoria Premier says they’re “not people of faith”

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews said: “These people arrested today are not people of faith, they don’t represent any culture. This is not an issue of how you pray or where you were born. This is not about those issues.” In saying that, he was signaling that even when Muslims plot to commit mass murder in […]

Australia: Muslims discussed killing Jews and Muhammad cartoonists

This isn’t really any surprise. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that Islamic jihadists want to kill Jews and Muhammad cartoonists. The only problem is that all too many Western authorities aren’t paying attention. “Hoax fools wannabe jihadis,” by Grant Taylor, The West Australian, April 18, 2015: An internet impostor has fooled dozens of […]

Slain Charlie Hebdo editor: “Suggestion that you can laugh at everything, except certain aspects of Islam…is…discrimination”

“It’s time to finish with this disgusting paternalism of the white, left-wing bourgeois intellectual seeking to prove himself among the ‘poor unfortunate undereducated.’” Indeed. I have often remarked upon the Left’s condescending paternalism toward Muslims, in holding them to lower standards of behavior than those to which non-Muslims are held. Charb articulates their unconscious assumptions: […]

UK: Posters tell Muslims not to vote, “Democracy is a system whereby man violates the right of Allah”

“Islam is the only real workable solution for the UK.” And the only one they’re going to get, unless they cut out the denial, willful ignorance and appeasement. “‘Chilling’ posters in Cardiff warn Muslims not to vote in the general election because ‘it violates the right of Allah,’” Daily Mail, April 17, 2015 (thanks to […]

Muslim male model from Australia dies fighting for Islamic State; Australia PM says Islamic State “not about religion”

How ignorant and self-deluded is Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott about the jihad threat? This ignorant and self-deluded. The revised and updated version continues at PJ Media: Are you a non-Muslim? Then Allah hates you (Qur’an 3:32). Are you Jewish or Christian?  THE F WORD: COULD CONGRESS BECOME FUNCTIONAL?
Budgets are moving ahead on schedule. The annual charade of blocking Clinton-era cuts to Medicare
has officially ended. And now, lawmakers have actually asserted their clout on foreign policy for the first time in memory. Forcing the president to back down on his bid to circumvent Congress with his plan to lift sanctions on Iran may not sound like the biggest deal in the world. And there certainly is a large trap door built into the back of the plan that would give the president an ample opportunity to slip congressional oversight in the end. But for a president who started out with a plan to flout Congress using executive power and the UN to end up acceding to congressional review is something of a signal moment. It’s more significant given the fact that Congress has so consistently, miserably failed to take any action on foreign policy despite years of bitter criticism and invective.
This matters for a couple of reasons. First, it could shape the way other initiatives are handled. Now that rebellious Democrats have found that the president will cave on key issues, they will keep pushing. The administration has backed off before, but succumbing to open defiance from the minority leader in waiting, Chuck Schumer, and others will invite further intra-party brigandage. And nObama, legacy-minded as always, may see newfound merit in achievement over ideological purity and ego protection. If congressional Republicans have sufficiently sorted out – or put on hiatus – their various blood feuds to avoid successive collapses over the next 18 months, Washington could stand in a very different light. And that could shape the political narrative for 2016. Presumptive Democratic nominee Hilly Clinton has a campaign message predicated on making Washington work again. So how would she fare if Washington was (kinda) working?
There’s no chance for sweetness, light and grand bargains, but if Washington has found its way to something that actually works, it would be a miracle. After a decade of intensifying dysfunction, even basic operation would be welcome to most voters. That would likely help the ratings of both parties. The less Washington makes America think about it, the better America likes Washington. And that could deprive Clinton of her self-designated role as the technocratic leader born to make government work again. That could also give the eventual Republican nominee a better chance to avoid the label as an extremist or hostage taker  -Fox News

 100 DAY REPORT CARD
The day after Republicans took control of both the House and the Senate last fall, House Speaker backstabber John Boehner and then-elect Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell set a detailed agenda for what they wanted to accomplish. Today marks 100 days since the new Congress began, and it’s time for a progress report on how they’re doing.
Keystone - Check this off the list. Although President nObama vetoed the Keystone Pipeline XL bill, it was the first piece of legislation Sen. McCon-nell brought to a vote in the new Congress.
Veterans - The House passed the Hire More Heroes Act unanimously only hours after being sworn in, but it is still under review in the Senate. Over at the VA, major problems still abound.
Tax reform - Doubtful. Both sides have talked about a broad-based plan, and new House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Paul Ryan keeps pushing. But Hill watchers are skeptical that a grand bargain could come together, especially with funding and spending deadlines looming at the end of September. And after that, the vortex of 2016 elections will have Congress fully in its thrall.
Education - “We’ll also consider legislation…to support innovative charter schools around the country,” backstabber Boehner and McCon-nell wrote back in November. While education choice has been a hot topic in several cities and states around the country the new Congress hasn’t really touched on it.
Terrorism - While backstabber Boehner and McCon-nell vowed to fight Terrorism, that’s not really in their job descriptions. Aside from funding, there’s not much for Congress to do. But the budget plans floating around Capitol Hill provides full funding for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.
Government regulation - While there have been lots of hearings, Congress hasn’t yet done much on this front.
nObamacare - No, not repealing it. backstabber Boehner and McCon-nell decided to try and reverse nObamacare’s definition of full-time employment. Eighteen House Democrats joined Republicans to pass the Save the American Worker Act, which restores the definition of a full work-week as 40 hours verses nObamacare’s 30 hours. It’s awaiting Senate action and subject to a threatened presidential veto.

MORE QUESTIONS, STILL NO ANSWERS ON HILLY EMAIL   SCANDAL
In December 2012 congressional investigators asked Hilly Clinton directly if she used a private email account while serving as secretary of state. Her answer: Silence. The question, in a letter from House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and first reported by the New York Times, was posed seven weeks before Clinton’s tenure ended. When the State Department eventually responded to Issa’s demand in March 2013, nearly two months after she left office, officials also ignored the question about Clinton’s digital hygiene. Given Clinton’s admission that she used a personal account (and a private server) exclusively as secretary, news of this apparent dodge ads to a scandal that has cost the Democratic presidential candidate dearly in polls. As the drip of damaging details continues, when and in what venue Clinton will address the growing scandal is the question.  -Fox News

DEM CHAIRWOMAN: NO LIMITS ON ABORTIONS
Megyn Kelly pressed Democratic National Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on her response to a question on abortion from 2016 Republican contender Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. Asked about his views on exceptions to late term abortion, Paul told reporters to ask the Democratic leader “if she is OK with killing a seven-pound baby that is not born yet.” On “The Kelly File,” Schultz defended her opposition to restrictions on late-term abortion:
“The state has a right to step in on behalf of the fetus and say at some point that fetus does obtain rights,” Kelly pressed. “You would admit that you can’t have women aborting third trimester just on a whim?” “Certainly not on a whim,” Schultz responded. “There is no ambivalence here. We are very clear. We believe that that decision is best left not to government, but between a woman and her doctor. So, I can’t tell you a specific date and time past which we on all cases are certain that choice shouldn’t be made. Because that decision is very unique and individual to the woman and should be in consultation with her conscience and her God and her doctor. That is a decision left to her.” Watch the full interview here-Fox News

 Global Warming in Hot Water
(Mark Steyn) - I know the (Aussie) ABC are a bunch of doctrinaire lefties for the most part, but I always enjoy my appearances thereon and Tony Jones is a not un-agreeable host, all things considered...Still, it's sad to see them providing a platform for serial litigant and Clime Syndicate warmano Michael E Mann...As you know, Mann is suing me for describing his famous scary "hockey stick" graph as "fraudulent", which it is. The graph shows a straight-line "shaft" of the stick representing 900 years of stable global temperature, followed by a sharp upturned blade representing the 20th century temperature rocketing up and out the top right-hand corner. The "message" (which Mann and his colleagues were concerned not to "dilute" with any subtleties or qualifications) was simple: We're all outta graph paper. This thing's off the charts with nowhere to go but up through the ceiling at an unprecedented rate. Give us all your money or the planet's gonna fry.       http://www.steynonline.com/6908/global-warming-in-hot-water#.VS7Qu027UnA.twitter

Hilly Clinton signals support for marriage equality and nObamacare
( Ed Pilkington) - This woman feels nothing for the people who must pay nObamaCare penalties. Her entire focus is on those who now have insurance, mostly because of Medicaid expansion...an expense with which participating states will be more and more burdened after the ‘free’ introductory years are over. Hilly Clinton headed out of Iowa on Wednesday — by plane this time, not in a Scooby-Doo van — at the end of a two-day trip that signaled a new beginning for the veteran politician and sounded a clarion call to a legion of voters on the left of the Democratic party who remain skeptical of her progressive credentials.       http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2015/04/hillary-clinton-signals-support-for-marriage-equality-and-obamacare-as-she-concludes-iowa-trip/

Iran coordinates academic cheating to get students into Norway...
(themuslimissue.wordpress.com) - The Norwegians are smart people. They know something ‘is wrong’ with Islam. They got suspicious early on about foreign funded mosques, funded by Saudi Arabia to infiltrate Salafism into Norway...They were shocked to discover the extremism and racism of Palestinians and put an end to their aid to Gaza. They have stopped Muslim Brotherhood from establishing HQ’s in the country while Europe was funding the MB. They have reduced to take in Muslim migrants and openly acknowledged that 100% of their rapes in Oslo was committed by Muslim males. Too bad they have dhimmi socialists in the government that constantly try and undermine all sensibility. Islamic immigration into the West must be banned. Mosques need to be abolished, Islam made illegal and the faithful deported. Investments must be stopped from Muslim countries. All trade, transport, visas, residency, passports, asylum and refugee program for Muslims must be stopped and banned.       https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2015/04/16/norways-intelligence-iran-coordinate-academic-cheating-to-get-students-into-norway-to-steal-tech-secrets/

Illegal Muslim boat migrants threw Christians into sea to their deaths
(themuslimissue.wordpress.com) - Without any concerns at all they throw Christians to their death to drown, merely for being Christians – while seeking asylum in a Christian country…Is no one awake to the contradictions here, and ask what these people truly want in Europe?...Ban all Muslim immigration now before this problem is irreversible. Block and stop all investments from Muslim countries and citizens. Put an end to visas, residency, passports from and to Muslims. Push them back to their own countries and isolate them. They have not arrived to integrate or be a positive addition to society. They have come to commit crime, hate, rape, kill and terrorize. It will be an endless problem. Stop bringing them in now. Deport those who are already in the country to secure some kind of safety for future generations. There exist no funding resources in the whole world to deal with Muslim issues and problems once their numbers expand and grow.       https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2015/04/16/italy-illegal-muslim-boat-migrants-threw-christians-into-sea-for-being-Christian/

(infowars.com) - Infowars reporters Joe Biggs and Josh Owens take to the skies in search of the reported ISIS base hidden among cartel compounds just across the U.S. border in Anapra, Mexico...While flying over Anapra there are very strange, secluded compounds with what look to be religious grounds nearby. There is also a bizarre line of people walking to a truck in the middle of nowhere just at the base of the mountains where the border opens up and provides free reign into the United States.  Liberal Media Say Clinton Campaign Lacking “Substance”
(Don Irvine) - While some in the liberal media have been fawning over Hilly Clinton’s campaign, since she officially announced that she was running for president on Sunday, there are some who are unimpressed by her efforts to date...The Huffington Post’s Howard Fineman is one of those who sees little difference between this campaign and the one she ran in 2008. Fineman told MSNBC’s Jose Diaz-Balart that Hilly’s problem is that “she was the establishment then and she’s the establishment now,” adding that she’s failed to make any news about the “substance” of her blueprint for the future.       http://www.aim.org/don-irvine-blog/liberal-media-say-clinton-campaign-lacking-substance/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email041615&utm_medium=email

Senate 'just rewrote the … Constitution'
(Bob Unruh) - The New York Times reported “the essence of the legislation is that Congress will have a chance to vote on whatever deal emerges with Iran — if one is reached by June 30...But the newspaper noted it would be reviewed “in a way that would be extremely difficult for Mr. nObama to lose.” The report explained Congress “would essentially be able to vote on an eventual end to sanctions, and then later take up the issue depending on whether Iran has met its own obligations. But if it rejected the agreement, Mr. nObama could veto that legislation – and it would take only 34 senators to sustain the veto, meaning that Mr. nObama could lose upward of a dozen Democratic senators and still prevail.” There will be no stopping nObama now ...       http://www.wnd.com/2015/04/senate-just-rewrote-the-constitution/

 Can the president kill Americans?
(Judge Andrew Napolitano) - Can the president kill you? The short answer is: Yes, but not legally. Yet, President nObama has established a secret process that involves officials from the Departments of Justice and Defense, the CIA and the White House senior staff...whereby candidates are proposed for execution, and the collective wisdom of the officials then recommends execution to the president, who then accepts or rejects the recommendation. If the recommendation is to kill and the president rejects the recommendation, the CIA is directed to arrest the person. If the president accepts the recommendation to kill, then death is ordered. This is not unlike the procedure used in the reign of the monstrous British King Henry VIII, except that the king himself delegated the final say to his chancellor so that he could publicly disavow participation in the government murders.       http://www.wnd.com/2015/04/can-the-president-kill-americans/

Asked if his witness list would include Cheryl Mills, the former Secretary of State’s chief of staff, Gowdy responded,  “absolutely, and it was always going to include Ms. Mills. But, if you studied the correspondence between the State Department and Secretary Clinton after she decided to return the public record to the public a couple of months ago, that correspondence was directed to Cheryl Mills. So, Cheryl Mills needs to be talked to, not only with respect to Benghazi, but also with respect to the retention of the public records by Secretary Clinton after she separated.”       https://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2015/04/16/rep-trey-gowdy-witness-list-will-include-cheryl-millshuma-abedin-and-sid-blumenthal/

Report: With Cartel Help, ISIS Crossing Border From Mexico
With Cartel Help, ISIS Crossing Border From Mexico
(Alex Newman) - An explosive report released April 14 by the non-profit Judicial Watch, citing official Mexican military and law-enforcement sources, states that the terrorist group ISIS, now calling itself the “Islamic State,” is operating a camp in Mexico just miles away from the U.S. border...The sources also told the government watchdog that human smugglers working for Mexican drug cartels were helping ISIS operatives cross the U.S. border into New Mexico and Texas. Moments after its release, the Judicial Watch report sparked headlines across the United States and around the world. And while government sources were quick to issue official denials, considering the troubling facts behind the rise of ISIS and the U.S. government’s well-documented relationship with some Mexican drug cartels, it would hardly be surprising if the seemingly unrelated forces were cooperating.  http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/crime/item/20678-report-with-cartel-help-isis-crossing-border-from-mexico?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=cc296b3db2-The_Editors_Top_Picks_3_12_143_12_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8ca494f2d2-cc296b3db2-289778381

Who Will Stand?
Robert P. George

(firstthings.com) - The lynch mob came for the brilliant mild-mannered techie Brendan Eich.

The lynch mob came for the elderly florist Barronelle Stutzman.

The lynch mob came for Eastern Michigan University counseling student Julea Ward.

The lynch mob came for the African-American Fire Chief of once segregated Atlanta Kelvin Cochran.

The lynch mob came for the owners of a local pizza shop the O'Connor family.

The lynch mob is now giddy with success and drunk on the misery and pain of its victims. It is urged on by a compliant and even gleeful media. It is reinforced in its sense of righteousness and moral superiority by the “beautiful people” and the intellectual class. It has been joined by the big corporations who perceive their economic interests to be in joining up with the mandarins of cultural power. It owns one political party and has intimidated the leaders of the other into supine and humiliating obeisance.

And so, who if anyone will courageously stand up to the mob? Who will resist? Who will speak truth to its raw and frightening power? Who will refuse to be bullied into submission or intimidated into silence?

I'm not asking, which leaders? Though that, too, would be good to know. Are there political or religious leaders who will step forward? Are there intellectual or cultural leaders who will muster the courage to confront the mob?

No, I'm asking what ordinary people will do. Are there Evangelical, Catholic, and Orthodox Christians who will refuse to be intimidated and silenced? Are there Latter-Day Saints, Orthodox and other observant (or even non-observant) Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs? Buddhists?

Oh yes, the mob came first for the Evangelicals and the Catholics and the Latter-Day Saints; but do not be deceived: it will not stop with them. It's true that many in the mob have a particular animus against Christians, but the point of destroying the reputations and livelihoods of the initial victims is pour encourager les autres. If you believe you belong to a group that will be given a special exemption or dispensation from the enforcement of the new orthodoxy—by any means necessary—you will soon learn that you are tragically mistaken. No one who dissents will be given a pass.

We have seen how swiftly the demands have moved from tolerance to compulsory approbation of behavior historically rejected as contrary to morality and faith by virtually all the great religious traditions of the world. And now it is not only approbation that is demanded, but active participation. And do you honestly think that we have now reached the endpoint of what will be demanded?

Of course, some will say—indeed some are saying—that the battle is over, the cause is lost. All we can do is seek the best terms of surrender we can get, knowing that at this stage they will not be very good.

What should we say to that? Well, it is certainly true that the political, economic, and cultural power now arrayed against people of faith and their rights and liberties is formidable. No question about it: This is David against Goliath.

But then, we know how that contest ended, don't we?

If we refuse to surrender, we will certainly be demonized; but everything will depend on whether we refuse to be demoralized. Courage displayed in the cause of truth—and of right—is powerful. And it will depend on whether ordinary people—Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Mormons, Muslims, others—inspired by their faith to stand firm, will also be willing to stand shoulder to shoulder, and arm-in-arm, with their brothers and sisters of other traditions of faith to defy the mob.

Please Hold While the IRS Ignores Your Call

A few days before Income Redistribution Day, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen declared the IRS had once again pulled off a successful heist of the American pocketbook tax season. “The system has worked flawlessly,” he said. (We’re sure Lois Lerner would say the same thing.) But those aren’t the words the Treasury’s inspector general would use to describe the IRS’s ability to pick up a phone. According to a new IG report, before March 7, Americans called the IRS 45.6 million times, but the agency answered the phone just 38.5% of the time. And that was after Americans stayed on the line for an average of 25 minutes. About 10 years ago, The Hill reports, the IRS answered its phones 90% of the time and citizens only needed to wait a few minutes. The U.S. tax code has only grown in complexity, while the IRS doesn’t seem to consider customer service as a metric of success. More…

Obama’s Taxing Rhetoric

It’s no surprise that Barack Obama likes to misrepresent his policies and his record. The latest example is the whopper he told a town-hall audience in Charlotte about his record on taxes and spending. “If you listen to some of my political critics, they always want to paint me or the Democratic Party as this tax-and-spend, you know, irresponsible,” he complained. “Since I came into office, the federal deficit’s come down by two-thirds.” He loves this line because his adoring audiences don’t know the difference between “debt” and “deficit,” and because it allows him to leave out two particularly inconvenient truths: First, he and his party nearly quadrupled the deficit before the Tea Party gave Republicans control of the House in 2010; and second, the nationaldebt has gone from $10.6 trillion to more than $18 trillion since Obama took office. But, hey, he cut the deficit! Furthermore, Obama’s never met a tax he didn’t like, and he’s always looking for new “investments” to make in education, infrastructure, job training, or any number of other leftist programs. Raise taxes, spend more money, repeat. That’s the Democrat way.

No Tip for You!

Hillary Clinton is “hitting the road to earn your vote,” but she managed to visit an Ohio Chipotle restaurant without actually interacting with or being recognized by anybody. Even the employees didn’t know she was there until after she left. But maybe that was a good thing, since she didn’t leave a tip. The store manager said, “Her bill was $20 and some change, and they paid with $21 and left” without putting anything in the counter tip jar. Normally, it’s not a huge deal to skip the tip at a fast food restaurant when no particular person is serving you at a table. Indeed, even the manager played it off as no big deal. But Hillary is worth north of $100 million and hauls in $300,000 just for making a speech. Surely she could spare a few bucks for the hard-working people at Chipotle when she had the opportunity to make a difference — if for nothing else than a photo-op of her caring generosity. After all, she tells us “everyday Americans need a champion.” Evidently, that champion isn’t her.

Despite Obama Rhetoric, Jihadis Advance in Middle East

The Obama administration keeps trying to tell a rosy narrative about terrorism and Islamic jihad in the Middle East, but the facts keep getting in its way. Despite reports that American military and intelligence have pulled out of the country, Barack Obama continues to claim that Yemen is still a successful model for counterterrorism foreign policy. But this just in: After a brief clash with a Yemeni brigade, al-Qaida captured an airport, a seaport and an oil terminal — and that was just Thursday’s activities for the terrorist organization. So much for al-Qaida being “decimated” or “on the run.” While al-Qaida was taking victories in Yemen, Joe Biden was saying the fight against the Islamic State was turning against jihadis. “The momentum is in the right direction,” he told the National Defense University just last week. But ISIL has taken several towns around Ramadi and stands poised to capture the city itself. Ramadi is the last city in western Iraq controlled by the Iraqi Army. And this is despite the United States' Operation “Inherent Resolve.”Charles Krauthammer observed, to put it mildly, “The administration is quickly developing a huge problem of credibility.”

Iran Deal Sparks Nuclear Energy Race in Middle East

It didn’t take long for unintended consequences to crop up. In response to the terrible deal with Iran that Team Obama is touting, Turkey announced it broke ground on its first nuclear reactor, with a second one in the works. What further “sweetens” this deal is that Russia is constructing the plant for Turkey. We thought Barack Obama’s deal with Iran was supposed to preventnuclear proliferation. In March, Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with South Korea to build two smallish nuclear power plants in the country to the tune of $2 billion. It’s a small comfort, perhaps, that these countries are at this point only dabbling in nuclear energy, not weapons. But they are surely thinking that if Iran ever breaks out with deliverable weapons-grade fissile material they’ll have the nuclear expertise to catch up more quickly.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie unveiled a plan to reform entitlements while visiting New Hampshire this week. The potential GOP presidential candidate noted that entitlement spending is “growing the deficit and slowly but surely taking over all of government. In the long term, it will steal our children’s future and bankrupt our nation.” He’s certainly right about that.

Christie’s proposal would change means testing for Medicare, with wealthier recipients paying more for their premiums on a sliding scale. Those at the top of the scale with incomes above $196,000 per year would pay 90% of their premiums out of pocket. The retirement age for Medicare would slowly rise to 69, but not until 2064.

As for Medicaid, Christie suggests simplifying the program so states receive fixed amounts per enrollee. This, according to the Congressional Budget Office, would reduce the deficit by $500 billion over the next decade.

Christie’s plan for Social Security calls for restructuring the system into essentially a retirement insurance policy. He proposes raising the retirement age for Social Security to 69, again very gradually as with Medicare. Means testing would affect payees with incomes over $80,000, and Social Security would be phased out entirely for those with incomes over $200,000. The overall plan wouldn’t kick in until 2022.

The facts aren’t all in yet regarding Christie’s plan, but facts never stop the Left from attacking it. Any time entitlements are mentioned in the same sentence with reform, statists get nervous. A shrinking entitlement means a shrinking government, and a shrinking government means less power for the Left. And that won’t be tolerated.

Senators Bernie Sanders (Socialist-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (Unannounced Socialist-MA) have called for simply raising taxes on higher incomes to cover the rising entitlement costs that threaten to swamp the rest of the federal government’s fiscal responsibilities. Raising taxes issuch a novel idea, after all.

Ramesh Ponnuru, senior editor at National Review, notes that there is no way to tax ourselves out of the coming entitlement train wreck. The numbers are so vast that for any tax increase to work it would have to be so large as to bury individual taxpayers, discourage investment and productivity, and bring the economy to a grinding halt.

But Ponnuru isn’t much of a fan of Christie’s plan, either. While the idea of lower benefits for wealthier people makes sense, Ponnuru notes that Christie’s plans for means testing would discourage people from saving for retirement or working in retirement at a time when both should be encouraged.

Ponnuru writes, “Ideally we would move toward a better system that guaranteed all senior citizens a decent floor of income — something Social Security does not do — while expanding people’s ability to use their own savings to finance retirement above that floor.”

Christie’s proposal brings entitlement reform back into the national debate. He’s the first possible GOP presidential contender to do so, which raises his profile a bit. The one-time shining star of the GOP has suffered a significant fall from grace over the last couple of years. His bold style was once considered to be a game-changer in the famously corrupt blue state of New Jersey, but, after the smoke cleared, his blustering and not-very-conservative policies have done relatively little to reverse the state’s dire economic situation. His fortunes weren’t improved by literally embracing Barack Obama after Hurricane Sandy or by the Bridgegate scandal, which the New York Times gleefully reminds us is not over.

None of these facts should discourage an honest assessment of Christie’s proposal for entitlement reform. He has staked his political career on shaking up the established government order, even if to varying degrees of success. He makes valid points about the dangers we face to the growing rate of entitlement spending. And the longer we wait to make a decision on how to fix the problem, the more painful the solution will be.

Ukraine in Need of a ‘Reset’ Button

By Michael Swartz

2015-04-17-fbcae634_large.jpg

While the world is focused on the Middle East and Iran, there’s still a smoldering conflict in Ukraine. But indications are the war in that nation between Vladimir Putin’s Russian proxies and NATO-backed Ukrainian troops will soon be back in the headlines.

European monitors report “a general increase in the number of ceasefire violations,” with the situation escalating both in the besieged city of Donetsk and the coastal town of Mariupol. Both locations have been in the crosshairs before, but Mariupol is particularly important as its fall to Russian-backed rebels could open a land route to Crimea, which was wrested away from Ukraine last year and became a Russian rump republic. Reportedly the Russians have 400 tanks and 700 pieces of artillery in the region despite an agreement in the February cease-fire to withdraw the munitions.

Ukraine isn’t the only place where the Russian bear is poking around, though. Last spring we noted Russian involvement in Moldova’s region of Transnistria, which borders Ukraine on the southwest. In what some perceived as an escalation, 400 Russian troops conducted a drill on Moldovan territory in Transnistria — an exercise The Wall Street Journal surmised was “intended to create the impression Mr. Putin might take more drastic action to subdue the defiant country.” Moldova has a pro-Western government, as does Ukraine.

Moscow, however, considers pro-Western governments to be the true threat to its sovereignty. Russian Gen. Valery Gerasimov asserted as much, saying, “It’s clear that measures taken by NATO to strengthen the bloc and increase its military capabilities are far from being defensive.” Pay no attention to the thousands of troops and hundreds of heavy weapons amassing behind the (iron) curtain.

Yet the biggest fear isn’t so much Russia’s expansive actions — which we’ve come to expect over the decades — but the lack of action from both an impotent Europe that relies on Russian natural gas and an irresolute America led by Barack Obama’s malfeasant foreign policy of rewarding enemies and abandoning friends. It’s easy to see that Obama’s “reset” with Russia, conducted through Hillary Clinton’s “smart power” at the State Department, is an utter, if predictable, failure.

OPINION IN BRIEF

General Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964): “No man is entitled to the blessings of freedom unless he be vigilant in its preservation.”

Economist Stephen Moore: “[H]ere’s an argument against the [‘death’] tax that isn’t well understood. It hardly raises any money. This tax is all economic pain, with no gain. According to the latest IRS statistics, in 2013 the estate tax raised $12.7 billion. In 2001 the tax collected nearly twice as much money ($23.5 billion) as in 2013. So it’s a small and shrinking source of government revenues. That $12.7 billion collected is out of $2.8 trillion in total federal revenue in 2013. In other words, a trivial 0.5 percent of federal tax receipts now come from estates. Get rid of the tax and the government still raises 99.5 percent of its money — at worst. … One reason the tax raises such a pittance is that the exemption level is now $5.4 million on an estate; there just aren’t that many estates above that level. Fewer than 5,000 estates pay the tax each year or about 2 of every 1,000 estates. … Two-thirds of jobs come from small and family-owned businesses. Wouldn’t the smart way to create jobs be to make sure that the next generation can grow these enterprises rather than sell them off at auction to pay this economically destructive and fiscally inconsequential tax?”

Columnist Mona Charen: “Two relatively recent photos of Barack Obama with foreign leaders reveal much about his deep-dyed leftism. The first features President Obama and democratically elected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, leader of one of America’s most loyal friends. Obama looks strained. His face is stiff, and his eyes are veiled. The second is a snap of Obama at the recent Summit of the Americas in Panama. He’s seated with ‘President’ Raul Castro, leader of a bitter enemy, who has never received a single free vote. Obama is grinning, his eyes dancing with pleasure. In contrast to the bitterness with which Obama addresses Netanyahu, he is all honey with Castro. … While Obama and Castro were speaking, goons from the Cuban security services beat Cuban human rights activists who had traveled to Panama City at the invitation of summit organizers. That’s a ho hum story. Happens every day of the week in Cuba. But this one happened under Obama’s nose, yet he didn’t retreat an inch from his embrace of the man who ordered it. Everything is forgiven when it comes to the Castros. … Who benefits from the thaw with Cuba? Not the Cuban people, who earn a maximum wage (yes, you read that correctly) of $20 per month. More trade and commerce will benefit their oppressors — the worst regime in our hemisphere, a sworn enemy of the USA, but Obama’s newest pals.”

Our nation, this nation, this group of states in America, initiated a legislative law, that is in abject diametric opposition to this American idealism of all men are equal. It is the legislation from the Pandora’s Box of allowing civil rights – not the inalienable rights of all men – to be dictated and determined by the worse of all managers, the government. This application of this travesty we identify as affirmative action. The result, the application of affirmative action in America, is as equal too, and as destructive to our society’s economic stability, our future, and the equality of men than anything ever proposed in the government of mankind. Attempted in the soviet of Russia, it was proven to not work, to have the – not unintended – but the obvious result of the destruction of society’s productivity. In Russia, under the soviet, productivity was insured not by choice of the producer – the proletariat as the communist identify – but by the draconian punishment if some criteria of production were not met. These punishments started with, of course, the manager, then the actuals producers to experience the pain and the punishment of not reaching the productivity goals.

Compounding that problem, the goals, the productive achievement of reaching those goals were determined by whom? This is the fallacy in the insanity of the concept of quota – central planning – of any attempt in any society.

To even make some evaluation of reason, using facts, or explaining how economics should – not as it is today in this nation, for we do not have economics, we have Keynesian monetary and fiscal policy – work is an effort in an inefficacious waste of time and effort. This nation, our politicians, our bureaucracy, and especially in that bureaucracy the ‘INSANITY OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE’ and their monetary policy, plus this administration advancing not only the destructive mechanism, but debauching our currency is so insane, where would one begin.

Our society’s lack of even the slightest comprehension of the reality how creating wealth works, is as foreign to this nation as man’s understanding of where life – that wonder of why a cell lives – comes from.

The absurdity of this action is beyond reason. Admittedly I have the past knowledge of explaining how profit and cost in the concept of how not capitalism, but all commerce, all manufacturing, and every service is cost analyzed to find the price. My past historical knowledge, I can explain Adam Smith’s attempts to explain how this miracle works. Also, the errors the mistakes, and those things of today’s society, and economics, that never existed, resulting in of course, much of today was not considered.

Those who examined and made reference how economics, or the business activity of any activity works, has many who actually attempted to explain it –strangely without ever having experiencing the work of work. The wonder of insight of Jean-Batiste Say, the mistakes of David Ricardo, the fallacy of  Thomas Malthus and their opinion, not facts of provable, confirmation of how the cycle of business operated. I’ve studied the irrational insanity of Marx, Das Kapital, economic insanity magnified. The irrational concept of theft – as in socialism, communism, and even in the central planning of this nation’s economic policy – all following the insanity of John Maynard Keynes central planning – communism – of monetary and fiscal policy. I’ve even attempted – and I’ll admit it wasn’t easy – the insanity of this recent disciple of Marx’s irrational and incomprehensible fallacy, Thomas Piketty and his Alice in Wonderland fiction of ‘Capital in the Twenty-First Century.

I could either memorize, or bore you to death in the observations of others, and their economic opinions, and hypothesis. In that effort, I’ll share with you something that most people don’t realize. Every person who has worked to earn and dollar, and spent that dollar, should in that experience know everything anyone would ever require to say they know and understand economics. For that experience of earning a dollar, and respecting the value of that dollar, is more than all the aggregate knowledge of every economist, every bureaucrat, and every politician this nation has today.

This illiteracy in economics, and how business works, isn’t something that is out of the norm. The exact opposite is the fact; this is the level of knowledge – economic illiteracy, – which most in this nation have. This is no worse, or no better than the insanity of Marx, the illusion of Piketty, the debauchery of Keynes, or the absolute – but most remarkable descriptive definition – incomprehensible ignorance of Harry Reid. His statement of what his job description is; my job is to spend money and I have to get to work! This absolutely ignorant beyond rational comprehension of insanity that is advanced by most in our government employment, either elected or hired, is the same.

Sadly this scenario is not something new in this nation. Ignorance of economic reality began with Alexander Hamilton – and before him with the insanity of William Paterson and the Bank of England – the design of the constitution, the concept of fiat wealth, the debauchery of wealth, the destruction of monetary policy, and the history is long and convoluted. The one reality, there is nothing known in the society of mankind that convolutes, distorts or manipulates money other than government. Government is, has always been, and as long as regulation of responsible monetary policy established is applied, will be the death of this nation, and civilized society. There is no other factor, no other consideration, nor anything else that creates the problems – that we know – in our society, and the economic environment of mankind.

The why is difficult to understand? Spending much of my life, identifying how business must be managed to insure a profit, and to make sure the pricing of the service is accurate to preserve a company, knowing profit and loss, understanding a balance sheet, and using such information not to measure there is a profit, but to insure there is a profit, that scenario is understood. The concept of the economics of identifying how what is economics, the enterprise of business activity, has been an interest for that same lifetime. The conclusion that resulted, what is called economics today, the central planning of distorting monetary policy and deficit debt management, and the enterprise of economic – the creating wealth – are not the same. In the reality of wealth creation, and the business of business, they are diametric opposite.

Why the central planning is so accepted in this nation, and around the world, has no specifics that can be identified. It makes no sense in the business world measurements, no sense in the valuation of wealth, and no sense in any environment of what any society would choose as a format.

Though it can be recognized, the reason for so many thinking that man has some godlike, little (g), ability to dictate unilaterally some template of how things work, outside the reality of the measurements of sales, price, and profit refutes the realty of economics – or more correctly identified enterprise.

It is not some new error in judgement, for it is premeditated, and advanced by so many. In this nation the only possible conclusion is that the concept of god little (g) of too many exists. It exists not only in the world of enterprise and government, it exist in any environment where individual power is not checked. Even as just today some school teacher unilaterally that she had some divine right to have her student participate in some social engineering experiment of her construct. All apparently in the human condition have this capacity to achieve this illusion of believing they are the supreme being of earth – some god – that can dictate to all.

History has some remarkable examples, our current president, with a gaggle of lies that are so absurd it is impossible to believe anyone would – or could – possibly believe. His illusions or hallucinations, are so obvious, it is sickening. Who can understand or even comprehend this absolute insane statement; ‘this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth.’ These are the words of either illusion or hallucination spoken in the speech of accepting the Democratic – communist, socialist –party candidacy of this nation, the results we know, this reprobate was then elected.

Even the most delusional of others with god complex were never so absurd, perhaps with the exception of Franklin Roosevelt, where being in office so long, his senility became interwoven with his dementia. One of the indications that the idea of communism, central planning of society was so ingrained in his physic we find in his ‘Second Bill of Rights,’ an illusion of irrational concepts, that is as pharaohistic – thinking one was a pharaoh, so let it be written so let it be done – recorded in the annals of literacy. His illusion, that government, god little (g) on earth can by political fiat accomplish these objectives:  Employment, with a living wage; Food, clothing and leisure; Farmers' rights to a fair income; Freedom from unfair competition and monopolies; Housing; Medical care; Social security; Education.

Here is an interesting observation. Is this not the same as Marx’s infamous insanity: from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs? Is this not an identifier of needs, without any acknowledgement of any ‘from?’

Why, there was only one thing that existed at that time, which was not the ever created for the purpose it represented, social security. The reality, social security, which was implemented, was never for anything to do with social security. It was to take money out of the economy, during a period of recession, when taxes – by the insane irrational concept of John Maynard Keynes … central planning … communism – of government action could not do so. So how did the application occur – the fallacy of social security – designed specifically with the actuators determining the age requirements, when one … those who paid in … could collect. As such anticipating they would be dead, and not collect. The residue, the taxation … the theft accumulated under this legislation … is not the property of the deceased; it is now the property of the ‘government.’ Ain’t it just wondrous how your government cares for you?

The ways the government steals from the citizens of this nation are so numerous, it would take as many pages as the congressional records currently have to identify it. Why, the congressional records; for in those records are all the ways our government, through monetary manipulation, devalue not just your money, but they devalue the very God given inalienable rights of liberty – as our Declaration of Independence states – enslaving all of society. Reducing the citizens of this nation to – as serfs of the ancient form of governance, slaves – obligated to the dictates of the totalitarian sovereignty of government through their monetary and fiscal actions.

Here is the epitome of this action – by this act, of this young man, lacking any economic understanding – which is so dangerous. The obvious question is, why did this individual chose the communist form of enterprise evaluation, instead of merit based productivity? For that is the chasm between the communist, central planning form of government, and the society of enterprise based on merit and productivity. It is beyond comprehension that anyone, even those that work in this company, could possibly think that all workers have the same productivity. This is, and has always been the fallacy of the concept of the ‘collective.’ Not all men, or woman, are equal. Some are productive and some will never be productive. It is this merit, this productivity, separating the value the worth of all people. It is why a brain surgeon, as few have that skill, is paid more than a ‘community organizer’, for to agitate and destroy is not a skill, it is a social psychopathic mental retardation – relying on extortion – which is identifies as crime, for their sustenance.

In Iceland today, an experiment is occurring that should be of great interest to every citizen residing on this planet. They not only rejected the fallacy of government policy debauching the currency, the wealth of the citizens, they threw the bankers who were the agents of this debauchery – under criminal penalty of theft – into prison.

They as a government, rejected the central planning concept of Keynesian communist monetary and fiscal policy, and are initiating what is, and has always been what is the true definition of economics. For economics was not, is not, nor ever should have been the manipulation of a nation’s wealth, by devaluating the very productivity of the citizens, which is the product of their lives.

The vigilance of the citizens, the passing of the 17th amendment, the changing from a representative republic, to a democracy, where universal suffrage exist, are but the tip of the iceberg of this nation’s – premeditated, and destructive – current government policies.

The creation of the Federal reserve, where the whim of the nation’s elected officials, as agents of not the people, but of the political parties, determine this nation’s condition is criminal. If this nation is to right itself, we should do so by following the precedent of Iceland. This nation should throw those who are destroying this nation, into the calaboose – the prison – who are the current politicians, and their handlers, the leaders of those political parties.

Then and only then, an election is held, not nationally universal, but as representation of the states – as was the original design of small representative, government of the contract, the covenant of this nations design. Then and only then, will the environment of men, and woman, with the goal of this nation’s preservation, not its fundamental transformation, then be representative for the beginning of this nation’s restoration. It was never the design, nor the template that the government, the control of the monetary policy, and the debauching of our currency – the wealth of this nation – be the exclusive domination of the political parties and their minions.

Congress Scores Political Victory Over nObama in Iran Deal
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee forced Barack nObama to back away from his one-man approach to negotiations with Iran. Under Sen. Bob Corker's leadership, the committee on Tuesday passed a bill that would require Congress review nObama's deal with Iran before lifting sanctions against the country. The bill passed 19-0 and is expected to pass both cambers with veto-proof majorities. Before the bill broke out of committee, nObama lobbied Congress to stay out of his dealings with Iran and its nuclear program. Now, nObama's saying he may sign the legislation, cowing to the rightful demands of Congress. But Corker's bill is far from perfect. Conservative commentator Noah Pollack tweeted, "The way Corker & Graham wrote their bill, nObama will win Congressional approval of Iran deal with only 34 votes. Ponder that." In other words, a decision not to approve nObama's bill faces the challenge of herding all the cats of Congress in the same direction. The Wall Street Journal argues the ideal role of Congress is to pass a treaty because nuclear deals should not be sealed with talk and a handshake. Corker's bill is a victory, but merely a political one. More...  -The Patriot Post

 Hilly's Income Inequality Platform Problem
While Hilly Clinton established her campaign on reducing income inequality, she has not practiced what she preached. "Americans have fought their way back from tough economic times, but the deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top," Clinton said in the video announcing her presidential campaign "Everyday Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion." Sure, Clinton can talk all she wants, but her platform places her between the idealistic Left and her salary. Progressives are beginning to say a $15-an-hour wage is the only wage they will support, probably to the chagrin of Seattle small businesses that have to close because of the city's $15-an-hour wage experiment. And Hilly has acted precisely like the CEOs and one-percenters she lambasts. Her $200,000-an-hour speaking gigs place her firmly in the filthy rich category. Furthermore, she directs all her salary through her foundation, so she avoids paying taxes. The income deck is, indeed, stacked in her favor. More...  -The Patriot Post

Tennessee's New Pro-Gun Law Gets It Right
The Tennessee governor's mansion is occupied by a Republican, and the GOP owns supermajorities in both the House and Senate. The result has been a wave of pro-gun measures, including a "Guns in Parking Lots" law approved in 2013 that gives employees the legal right to store a firearm inside personal vehicles even if it's against an employer's inclinations. The move was a good one; the problem is that "an attorney general's opinion later found that while the law decriminalized the actions of those who ignored posted gun bans on private property, employers could still terminate workers for violating company firearms policies," explains WTVC News Channel 9. Last week, the legislature passed and Gov. Bill Haslam signed a fix that allows fired persons the ability to take legal action. Now, even some Republicans contend the new law infringes on employers' rights. But that's misguided — businesses still have the right to ban firearms, but vehicles don't belong to the employer. As Hot Air blogger Jazz Shaw concludes, "This law seems to me to have been a good compromise. The employer can bar carrying weapons in the workplace, but the employee's car is not the workplace. And punishing them for such storage is an unreasonable burden on their constitutional rights." Tennessee hit the bull's-eye on this one. More...

Cruz Says Polls Don't Matter; The Bill of Rights Does
Ted Cruz was right on target when asked about his views on the Second Amendment: "When it comes to constitutional rights, what matters is what the Bill of Rights says. It doesn't matter what might be popular at the moment. We've seen regimes across the face of the earth come and take away people's guns, strip away their rights to defend themselves, and sometimes it's been very popular. And yet it is an inevitable prelude to tyranny. Our country was founded on a radical proposition, which is that our rights don't come from government; they come from God. ... The entire reason for the Second Amendment is not for hunting; it's not for target shooting. ... The Second Amendment is there so that you and I can protect our homes and our families and our children and our lives. And it's also there as a fundamental check on government tyranny. And that, ultimately, is not subject to public opinion polls, it's subject to the express protections of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution." Cruz really nailed it.  -The Patriot Post

Louisiana Timidly Considers Religious Liberty Legislation
Just like Indiana and Arkansas, Louisiana started to consider its own version of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, but it seems the threat of pushback may dissuade state lawmakers. The president of Louisiana's Senate, Republican John Alario, said, "As it was originally introduced, I'm not in favor of it. It would put Louisiana in such a bad light, we don't want any part of it." Whatever happened to trading short-term discomfort for long-term benefit? The state's governor, Bobby Jindal, said he would fight for legislation like the RFRA "that seeks to preserve our most fundamental freedoms." The opposition to state-level RFRAs could be nothing more than a heckler's veto. According to a poll conducted by WPA Opinion Research on behalf of the Family Research Council, 81% of those polled "agree that government should leave people free to follow their beliefs about marriage as they live their daily lives at work and in the way they run their businesses."  Hilly Clinton Steps Down From Hilly Clinton Foundation
(Daniel Greenfield) - Hilly Rodham Clinton’s decision to step down from the board of her family’s foundation will be followed this week by a Clinton Foundation board meeting to consider limiting international fundraising and improving transparency...Her resignation and the changes under discussion appear aimed at insulating Clinton from mounting concerns that the charity’s financial ties to foreign governments and corporations may pose political risks to her presidential candidacy. After using her family non-profit to take in large sums of cash and promote her pre-campaign candidacy, Hilly Clinton is stepping down from a foundation partly named after her, while her husband and daughter remain on the board. Conflict of interest totally avoided. Sorry, I don't think so. She is still in the family.       http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/dgreenfield/hillary-clinton-steps-down-from-hillary-clinton-foundation/

nObama Admin Denying That ISIS Is Operating on Southern Border
(nicedeb.wordpress.com) - Newsmax TV’s JD Hayworth talked to Judicial Watch Investigative reporter  Irene Garcia about their bombshell report from earlier this week claiming that terrorists have set up a training camp on the Southern border...High level Mexican sources are confirming JW’s reports from last August, that ISIS is operating at least one camp just a few miles from El Paso, TX. Their sources include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican federal police inspector. Garcia, a former LA Times reporter, said authorities on both side of the border have confirmed that the activity is occurring, but the nObama administration continues to claim the reports are unfounded for a number of reasons. It really amazes me why he thinks this is just unfounded reports. It won't hurt to check into it.       https://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2015/04/15/jw-reporter-obama-admin-denial-that-isis-is-operating-on-southern-border-insane-and-deplorable-video/

DHS Slush Funds And Financial Funny Business?
(rickwells.us) - Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) and 21 of his colleagues in the House have questions about some of the funny business that they believe may be going on in the fiefdom that is the Department of Homeland “Security” under its Director, Jeh Johnson...On April 15th they sent a letter to Gene Dodaro, Comptroller General of the GAO, asking for answers. They raised concerns over the use of funds from fees collected, funds which they described as “completely fungible.”  They are concerned, in part, that money raised for one purpose could be utilized for another and of the creation of slush funds and financial skimming. They fear that unauthorized programs such as the illegal amnesty dictated by Johnson and nObama could have been or still be being funded in such an illegal manner.       http://www.rickwells.us/dhs-slush-funds-and-financial-funny-business-22-congressmen-have-serious-questions-for-jeh-johnson/

Violent Criminal Illegals Welcome In America – Deportations Down 30%
(rickwells.us) - The more mainstream media sources are starting to recognize a lie when they hear it, realizing that the White House narrative that they’ve been faithfully regurgitating, or at a minimum ignoring the inconsistencies therein are nothing more than blatant falsehoods...and those telling them are just dirty liars with an impressive title. The awakening is starting to take place at the Washington Post, which reported Tuesday that despite claims by the regime that they were abdicating their duty to deport the majority of illegal aliens in the interest of concentrating on the violent criminals, they aren’t deporting them either. Deportations are down in a big way across the board. The truth has been widely known by most outside of the mainstream media for years, it’s good they have finally noticed the aroma of brewing coffee in the air. They reported on April 14th:

Afghan Colonel was paid $250,000 to kill US personnel
(Robert Spencer) - A bombshell revelation has emerged in the incident responsible for the greatest US Air Force loss of life during the War on Terror and deadliest “green-on-blue” attack during the US involvement in Afghanistan...On April 27, 2011, Afghan Air Force Colonel Ahmad Gul gunned down eight US Air Force personnel and a civilian contractor inside the Afghan Air Force headquarters, including investigators who had just arrived in country to examine rampant corruption in the Afghan military. Multiple Air Force and CENTCOM investigations claimed to find no motive for the attack, leaving the families of those killed with no answers. Now a senior US official has gone on the record claiming that a United Nations team tracked substantial payments to the killer and his family made days just prior to the incident….       http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/04/afghan-colonel-was-paid-250000-to-kill-us-personnel-pentagon-coverup-ensued?utm_source=Jihad+Watch+Daily+Digest&utm_campaign=77c6d3ec4c-Daily_Digest&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ffcbf57bbb-77c6d3ec4c-123451509

 U.S. Cuts Nuclear Warhead Levels
(Bill Gertz) - Despite nuclear saber-rattling by Moscow, U.S. nuclear forces are close to reaching warhead, missile, and bomber numerical cuts required under the 2010 New START arms treaty, a senior Pentagon official told Congress on Wednesday...U.S. nuclear warheads counted under the treaty with Russia were reduced from 1,642 to 1,597 between Sept. 1 and March 1, said Robert Scher, assistant secretary of defense for strategy, plans, and capabilities. Russian nuclear warheads were cut from 1,632 to 1,582 during the same period, Scher told the House Armed Services strategic forces subcommittee in prepared testimony. The treaty requires both nations to reduce their deployed strategic warhead arsenals to 1,550 by February 2018.       http://freebeacon.com/national-security/u-s-cuts-nuclear-warhead-levels/

 The Corker Cave-In
(Keith Koffler) - I keep reading today that the White House folded, caved, threw up the white flag, rolled over on its sword and died a humiliating death by accepting legislation by Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., giving Congress “a role” in the Iran negotiations...In this case, that’s a bit of spin that both the White House and Republicans want you to buy. Because Republicans want you to think they’ve etched out some kind of a victory over nObama, and finally stood up one of his power grabs. While the White House want to camouflage . . . its latest successful power grab. “The Unified States Senate just capitulated to nObama,” radio host and Constitutional scholar Mark Levin said Tuesday night. “The Unified States Senate just rewrote the Treaty Provision of the Constitution.”       http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2015/04/15/corker-cavein/?awt_l=59AKM&awt_m=3cocsndlNGTM1Od

nObama’s ‘Jade Helm’ Program Comes to Texas
(J. Christian Adams) - This week, representatives from the Department of Defense met with concerned citizens in a contentious meeting inside the Real County Courthouse in Leakey, Texas...What took place at that meeting, and what Defense Department officials said, reveals a great deal about Jade Helm training exercises across the United States. Some have speculated that Jade Helm is the military’s response to a possible attack by a weapon of mass destruction. Others have noted that the training seems to be focused on putting down domestic political disturbances. Monday, an overflow crowd for the Real County Commissioners Court meeting, heard Lt. Col. UK Election: Lefty British Jews Will
Vote Conservative Over Labour's Israel Policy
Conor Gaffey

assetContent.act?id=14446725

(.jewishworldreview.com) -British Jews are overwhelmingly rejecting Britain’s opposition Labour Party and instead intend to back the Conservatives in the upcoming general election, largely due to differences in policy over Israel and Palestine.

Almost 70% of Jewish voters said they would back David Cameron’s party, which is perceived to have a more pro-Israeli stance, compared to just 22% who would back Labour, led by Ed Miliband, the grandson of Jewish refugees from the second world war.

Labour called for a parliamentary vote on recognising Palestinian statehood in October last year, which ultimately passed with a majority of 274 to 12. Miliband vehemently opposed Israeli incursions into Gaza during last summer’s conflict, a position which reportedly cost the party thousands of pounds in lost support from Jewish donors.

Foreign policy towards Israel was a driving factor in influencing Jewish voting intentions, with a total of 73% saying it was an important issue in how they would vote in a poll conducted for UK newspaper the Jewish Chronicle.

Jews in the UK and across Europe feel a special affiliation to Israel as their spiritual homeland and feel threatened by pro-Palestinian statements of politicians, according to Rabbi Menachem Margolin, director of the European Jewish Association.

“Jewish people in Europe are Europeans, they belong to Europe, but at the same time, when they see Europe shaking with so many problems, they feel that the only country that will do everything possible to secure their lives is the state of Israel,” says Margolin.

“When Jews see politicians who keep supporting the Palestinian side and don’t care about the facts - they believe the politicians are thinking more about their own interests.”

The Conservative party has a strong pro-Israeli affiliate, the Conservative Friends of Israel, which has around 2,000 active members. Cameron recently congratulated Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu on winning a second term in office while expressing Britain’s support for a two-state solution.

The prime minister’s perceived pro-Israel stance has evidently influenced Jewish voting intentions - 65% of those surveyed said the incumbent prime minister had the best approach towards Israel and the Middle East compared to just 10% for his Labour opponent, despite Miliband’s well-publicised Jewish background. Furthermore, 64% backed Cameron as having the best attitude towards British Jewry compared to 13% in favour of Miliband.

Margolin declines to express support for a particular party in the forthcoming election but says he is unsurprised that foreign policy concerning Israel is such a big issue, since “Jewish people always dream to one day return to their homeland”.

The UK has a Jewish population of around 290,000, less than 1% of the total population. The poll surveyed 500 Jews in the UK over the past week.

acc-1.jpg?width=239Reagan said…“Our Government has no power except that granted it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed. In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

To be clear, since the very beginning, there has been an element of corruption and misconduct within our government and, as our nation grew, so too did our government and as our government grew, that element of corruption and misconduct grew right along with it.

Reagan’s comment above came from his First Inaugural Address in January 1981 and since then, government has grown even more.

We now face bigger problems than ever…both foreign and domestic and we, as Conservatives, seek to vote next year to turn things around but even if we retake the White House and hold the House and the Senate…can we expect big changes?

Maybe but…

The American Experiment in self-governance was an inspiration to the entire world when it began in the late 18th century. A republic founded on democratic principles and the rule of law was felt to be too difficult to manage and to susceptible to corruption to be feasible.  The world looked on as the Great Experiment began to determine if a citizen government could be sustained.  The framers of the Constitution had faith a people that valued liberty and believed in self-reliance could, in fact, manage their own affairs if sufficient restraint was placed upon government to preclude the ambitious and avaricious from usurping the God Given Rights of the individual.

The American Republic has devolved over the years from its original design as a collection of individual states working together for common purpose, assisted by a federal system that standardized methods, promoted commerce, provide for national defense and preserve equality among the larger states and the small, into an oppressive monstrosity serving only to serve the interests of the powerful.  The domination of political parties has destroyed the republican ideals of the Founders and established ruling elite that barter away the rights of the individual to the gain the support of the special interests.

Of the many consequences the Civil War one of the most significant was the identity of the nation changed from a collection of individual states united for shared purpose to that of a single nation, comprised of individual districts, fused into a collective subservient to the national interest.  The country was no longer considered the United STATES of America, but became the United States of AMERICA.

This ascendency of the federal government brought about a radical change to politics in America, as well.  No longer did the special interests have to seek influence with the various state legislatures and executives; rather it could focus its blandishments on the federal agencies and Congress thereby achieving their ends at significantly lower cost and effort.  As the powers of the federal government expanded, the more populous states asserted dominance over the smaller via this concentration of power.

In 1913, the fatal blow to states’ rights came in the form of the 17th amendment, providing for the direct election of members of the Senate by popular vote.  Senators were originally selected by the legislatures of the individual states.  This was to ensure that the state legislatures were equally represented and that Senators owed allegiance to the deliberative bodies that appointed them, rather than the factions or parties to which they subscribed.

The Founding Fathers carefully devised the Constitution to maintain a balance between the rights of the states and the power of the federal government.  The House of Representatives was established as the democratic body of Congress, members apportioned based on regional populations, capable of reflecting the current opinions of the voters and local interests.  The Senate was designed as a body representative of the individual states, with each state given equal representation to prevent the domination of the more populous states over the smaller.  This was a critical distinction, established to quell the concerns of the smaller states during the Constitutional Convention.  The Great Compromise, as it was known, was essential to gaining support of the smaller states for ratification.

By adopting the 17th Amendment, the power of the states was effectively transferred to the political parties.

In Federalist X, James Madison wrote that political factions were the natural result of democracy.  Men are selfish and corruptible, and will invariably unite into classes and factions.  It is by these factions that a majority will always act to suppress the rights and levy the property of the minority.  Madison explains that the only viable solution to the threat of an oppressive majority is the establishment of a republican form of government where the representatives are chosen to represent the best interests of society as a whole, and not the partisan interests of the majority.  The 17th Amendment acted to eliminate the republican nature of the Senate, eliminating the check on a capricious House of Representatives.  It eliminated the protections provided to the smaller states and empowered the majority party with the tools to control government and suppress the rights of the minority.

We see, today, that many of our elected officials are willing to compromise the values and interests of their constituencies to maintain the good graces of the party power brokers.  The Senate, originally intended to overcome the corruption of party politics, has instead become the source from which it flows.  The power of the established parties has been engrained into our system of government.

We plainly see today that our representatives to Congress and government in general, no longer fear the wraith of their constituents.  Candidates unwilling to subordinate the interests to their state, and those of their constituents, to those of the national party have no chance of receiving the funding or exposure necessary to win a popular election.

The Senate was intended to be a mature and independent body comprised of honorable and respected individuals, appointed by locally elected officials, acting in the best interests of the states and the nation as a whole.  The act of making the election of these senior lawmakers dependent upon factional interests has corrupted our politics to beyond even that of which Madison warned.  Even the judicial branch of our government, supposedly immune from partisanship, has become infected with the corruption of political parties.

As of this writing, twenty seven states have signed a petition to call a Constitutional Convention.  The purpose of this convention is explained to be for the purpose of creating a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.  The act of calling a convention has become necessary because politicians bound by their party’s wishes will not consider passing such a resolution through Congress.  The states are therefore obligated to use the power granted by Article V. of the Constitution to force change upon the federal government.

I would propose that in addition to a balanced budget amendment, repeal of the 17th Amendment also be considered at such a convention.  This would force delegates to the convention to choose between the interests of the party and the interests of their state.  Should they choose the party over the state, we can say that the Republic created by the Founding Fathers has ceased to exist and thereby be forced to admit the Great Experiment, that of a government by the people, protecting all the people by the rule of law, has failed.

 DEM PLUTOCRATS TARGET STATEHOUSE TAKEOVERS
WaPo: “A cadre of wealthy liberal donors aims to pour tens of millions of dollars into rebuilding the left’s political might in the states, racing to catch up with a decades-old conservative effort that has reshaped statehouses across the country. The plan embraced by the Democracy Alliance, an organization that advises some of the Democrats’ top contributors, puts an urgent new focus on financing groups that can help the party regain influence in time for the next congressional redistricting process, after the 2020 elections. … The five-year initiative, called 2020 Vision, will be discussed this week at a private conference being held at a San Francisco hotel for donors who participate in the Democracy Alliance.”  -Fox News

‘REV THE VOTE’ IS A RED STATE ANSWER TO ‘ROCK THE VOTE’
Wash Times: “A new nonprofit is hoping to rev up motor sports fans to participate in campaigns and elections, seeking partnerships with racing giants like NASCAR and support from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in an effort that political strategists say could increase GOP voter turnout. The campaign, called ‘Rev the Vote,’ originally launched during the 2014 election cycle as a nonpartisan campaign to engage a passionate racing fan base in the political arena. The campaign, modeled after MTV’s hugely successful ‘Rock the Vote’ effort, partnered with the Chamber to connect race fans with easy-to-use voter tools in their home states. Although the campaign never made it across the finish line in the last cycle, organizers are gearing up for an even bigger launch this year and have already recruited two former congressmen - Reps. Connie Mack of Florida, a Republican, and Democrat Heath Shuler of North Carolina - for the board of directors.”  -Fox News

Republican and Democratic senators are trying to influence an emerging nuclear deal with Iran, and there’s a fight over abortion. Also, President Barack nObama is awaiting Senate action on his long-delayed nomination of federal prosecutor Loretta Lynch to become attorney general. For Senate Democrats, the two-week break proved tumultuous. Minority Leader dinky Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced he will not run for re-election in 2016. dinky Reid anointed Sen. While President nObama has suggested sanctions on Iran won't be lifted until new limits on Tehran's nuclear program are in place for some time, Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has demanded sanctions be immediately lifted, the lawmaker noted.”   -Fox News

 THAT SINKING FEELING
Burlington (Vt.) Free Press: “Two men who were practicing landing and taking off from the ice on Lake Champlain escaped injury Saturday afternoon when their small aircraft began to sink through the surface between Milton and South Hero, a Vermont aeronautics official said. … The plane, a four-seat Cessna 172 based at Burlington International Airport, landed about three-quarters of a mile offshore from the Department of Fish and Wildlife's Van Everest fishing access in Milton. ‘Apparently, they were unable to depart the ice after they landed,’ said Guy Rouelle, aeronautics administrator with Vermont Aviation, a division of the Agency of Transportation. The pilot and passenger had to traverse melting ice, at times trudging through 3 to 4 feet of water, to reach solid ground, where rescue crews met them, [Milton Fire Chief Don Turner] said. A strong wind was whipping off the frozen lake from west to east, cooling the air considerably even in the warm spring sun.”   -Fox News

 Is War The Real Alternative?
(Herbert London) - Coruscating through the bloodstream of American history are wars that devastated the young and plunged the nation into despair. In World War II millions lost their lives across the globe...Recently thousands were casualties of the attenuated war in Afghanistan and the conflict in Iraq. Bodies were broken, minds impaired, suggesting yet again that war is hell. So moved by conditions in the recent past, the West will do whatever it can to avoid war. Appeasement is in the diplomatic air. Verbal arabesques are employed to avoid saying the obvious. Yet despite all the efforts at avoidance, war is encroaching. As Trotsky noted, you may not want war, but war may want you. Alas, war wants us. It is axiomatic to contend that if you are unwilling to sacrifice in order to defend liberty, the enemy will sacrifice to tyrannize you. The choice we face is not war or peace or even war or conciliation. The real choice, the one we want to reject, is war or enslavement.       http://www.aim.org/guest-column/is-war-the-real-alternative/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email041515&utm_medium=email

Senate Rejects Paying For ‘Doc Fix,’ Overwhelmingly Passes Medicare
(Sarah Hurtubise) - The Senate passed a bill with a price tag of $141 billion to reform Medicare payments to physicians, rejecting a series of amendments, including one that would make the bill budget-neutral...The bill, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, passed the Senate overwhelmingly on a vote of 92-8, a coup for Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell and House Speaker backstabber John Boehner. It was just hours before the midnight deadline on Apr. 15, when a temporary fix to up doctors’ payments for Medicare patients would have run out. Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee had introduced a potential amendment to the bill that would have subjected the bill to spending rules known as pay-as-you-go, which would have required the cost of the bill to be fully offset by spending cuts or tax increases. But while a handful of public school employees in Georgia may be facing the brunt of public outrage — though some are attempting to justify it — the scandal in Atlanta represents just the tip of a giant scandalous iceberg, according to experts. In fact, just in recent months, more cheating schemes to fraudulently boost student test scores have been discovered in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Mexico, and other states. The true magnitude of the problem has yet to be discovered — and the cheating scandal pales in comparison to other, far more serious abuses and crimes going on in the government school system.       http://www.thenewamerican.com/culture/education/item/20667-atlanta-school-cheating-scandal-is-just-tip-of-the-iceberg?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=880a960fdf-The_Editors_Top_Picks_3_12_143_12_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8ca494f2d2-880a960fdf-289778381

Trey Gowdy To DEA Head On Cartel Prostitute Parties
(rickwells.us) - It must have been one of the more sought-after jobs in government. DEA agents working undercover, both figuratively and literally, in Columbia, with favors provided by the very drug cartels they were supposed to be investigating...Now the dream jobs are going away and some accountability is attempting to be inserted by Congress into yet another agency that has run amok. Rep Trey Gowdy describes himself as being stunned as he learns in testimony provided Tuesday by DEA Administrator, Michele Leonhart, after being informed that regulations prevent her from having any input into disciplinary actions against her agents. A problem, which is known to extend back as far as 2001, involves compromising interactions between Drug Enforcement Administration agents and drug cartels members which included prostitutes and sex parties.       http://www.rickwells.us/trey-gowdy-to-dea-head-on-cartel-prostitute-parties-you-cant-discipline-agents-what-can-you-do/

 Syrian Scud Unveils Turk Vulnerabilities
(Burak Bekdil) - On the morning of March 25, a Russian-made Syrian scud missile estimated to have been fired from a range of 180 kilometers exploded near the Reyhanli district in Turkey's southernmost city of Hatay, neighboring Syria...The projectile left a 15-meter-wide crater in a stream bed, broke the windows of the surrounding houses, caused the roof of a building in the nearby military unit to collapse, damaged two military vehicles and inflicted minor injuries on five Turkish civilians. The Syrian scud luckily did not cause any casualties on Turkish soil but left behind pressing questions: Why did the NATO Patriot systems stationed in southern Turkey not intercept the Syrian missile? How vulnerable is Turkey to tactical missile threats from its unstable neighbors to the south?       http://www.meforum.org/5180/syrian-scud-turk-vulnerability

Christian Pastor Asks Pro-Sodomy Bakery for Cake – Bakery Refuses
(Onan Coca) - Josh Feuerstein is a popular YouTube and social media personality who was troubled by things he saw going on in our modern culture. Specifically, he was bothered by the double standard that Christians in America seem to be suffering under when it comes to serving same-sex “wedding” ceremonies...So Feuerstein decided to run a little test of his own by calling a vocally sodomy friendly bakery (Cut the Cake Bakery) in central Florida and asking them to bake a cake that said “We Do Not Support Gay Marriage.” The pro-sodomy bakery refused. Feuerstein then posted the video showing the entire exchange online, proving our point that a definite double standard does exist. At least Christians have a deeply held religious belief that they are pointing to when they refuse service for same-sex “weddings”; these pro-sodomy bakeries (there have been many other recent examples of similar situation) have no such closely held religious belief to point to.       http://sonsoflibertymedia.com/2015/04/christian-pastor-asks-pro-sodomy-cut-the-cake-bakery-for-cake-bakery-refuses-calls-cops-seeks-legal-action/

Arab nations' donations to Clinton Foundation: Curing world's ills or currying favor?
Greg Gordon
Arab nations' donations to Clinton Foundation: Curing world's ills or currying favor?

(jewishworldreview.com) - Four oil-rich Arab nations, all with histories of philanthropy to United Nations and Middle Eastern causes, have donated vastly more money to the Clinton Foundation than they have to most other large private charities involved in the kinds of global work championed by the Clinton family.

Since 2001, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates gave as much as $40 million to the Clinton Foundation. In contrast, six similar non-governmental global charities collected no money from those same four Middle Eastern countries; the International Committee of the Red Cross was given $6.82 million. Since 2001, these global foundations have raised a staggering $40 billion to $50 billion to fund their humanitarian work.

The existence of foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation has been well-documented in the media. What hasn't been revealed, however, is the disparity in donations by these four nations, all of which have been criticized by the State Department over the years for a spate of issues ranging from the mistreatment of women to stoking ethnic discord in the flammable Middle East.

Moreover, the level of Arab support for the Clinton Foundation, which occurred during the time Hilly Clinton was a U.S. senator, was seeking the Democratic nomination for president against Barack nObama and was serving as secretary of state, fuels questions about the reasons for the donations. Were they solely to support the foundation's causes, or were they designed to curry favor with the ex-president and with a potential future president?

"The fundamental issue here is that you've got foreign businesses and foreign governments giving money to the Clinton Foundation partly because of the foundation's work, but also because of the access to the upper echelons of power in America," said Lawrence Jacobs, a professor at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a prize-winning author of numerous books on politics. "I think the people who know something about politics understand the wink and a nod that's going on here: Give to Bill and become a friend of Hilly. … There's kind of a political shakedown going on here."

Nick Merrill, a spokesman for Hilly Clinton, said that "it's simply wrong to assert or even suggest" that donations to the foundation have influenced her foreign policy positions.

Former President Bill Clinton has defended his organization's receipt of foreign donations as doing "a lot more good than harm."

Hilly Clinton's quest for the Democratic presidential nomination, which just months ago seemed like a walk in the park, is under siege from many quarters. Republicans in Congress are investigating her use of a private email server to conduct State Department business and the subsequent "unilateral" destruction of her emails. Even some Democrats are now urging the party to find another candidate over Clinton.

Clinton Foundation spokesman Craig Minassian said: "Like many global charities, the Clinton Foundation receives support from individuals, private sector organizations, non-governmental organizations and governments around the world because our programs are improving the lives of people around the world. Among the more than 300,000 contributors to the Clinton Foundation are countries that have also given billions of dollars in humanitarian aid and support to other charities."

To be sure, wealthy Arab nations have given billions of dollars to United Nations and World Health Organization programs to aid victims of poverty, wars and calamities from earthquakes to deadly epidemics. According to the United Nations' Financial Tracking Service, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have donated more than $5 billion to humanitarian causes, including tens of millions of dollars to Middle East chapters of the Red Crescent Society, since 2001.

With a few exceptions, most notably foundations run by ex-presidents, the other four Arab governments gave far less money to eight of the largest Western charities doing work similar work to that of the Clinton Foundation, whose expanded agenda now includes fighting AIDS in Africa, climate change and obesity, as well as rebuilding earthquake-ravaged Haiti. One huge foundation that aggressively secures pledges from governments worldwide, the Geneva-based Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, has received $62 million from Saudi Arabia and $3.5 million from the United Arab Emirates since 2001.

The U.S. Embassies of the four Middle Eastern countries declined to respond to inquiries from McClatchy.

Charities aren't required to publicly identify their donors, and their disclosure is spotty. Few disclose more than their top donors and most list only a dollar threshold that the donation exceeds. Others disclose nothing.

On its website, the Clinton Foundation goes further, providing a list of more than 282,000 donors, itemized in dollar ranges, such as $10,001-$25,000. Like most charities, the Clinton group does not say which individual donors are related to which companies, countries or institutions, so it would be a vexing job to determine the full extent of the interests they represent.

The foundation says that Saudi Arabia has donated $10 million to $25 million between 2001 and 2014, while Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates each gave $1 million to $5 million. In addition, former longtime UAE President Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the driving force behind his country's formation, and Nasser Al-Rashid, an adviser to the Saudi royal family, each has donated $1 million to $5 million.

Nonetheless, a McClatchy review of available annual reports and contacts with several charities showed that:

  • The contributions from the four Arab countries — between $15 million and $40 million — to the Clinton Foundation was much as five times what they donated to the much larger International Committee for the Red Cross between 2004 and 2013.

  • The Washington-based Habitat for Humanity and England-based Save the Children International and Oxfam International reported no donations from the Persian Gulf governments, according to financial reports and spokespersons for the charities.

  • Washington state-based World Vision International, the Georgia-based Task Force for Global Health and Virginia-based Project Hope have not sought nor received donations from Middle Eastern nations, according to their spokespersons.

  • An eighth charity, Paris-based Doctors Without Borders, whose physicians have put their lives in peril to treat Ebola victims in West Africa, has raised $9.2 billion since 2003 but didn't list any of the Middle Eastern countries among its top donors during that span.

Some charities have strict vetting processes. Oxfam International, for example, puts all donations through an "ethical screening process," including an assessment of "whether acceptance of a donation might pose a risk to the independence of our voice and action," said Andrew Barton, the organization's associate director for international income development.

Clinton Foundation spokesman Minassian said the family organization "has strong donor integrity and transparency practices that go well beyond what is required of U.S. charities."

"Should Secretary Clinton decide to run for office, we will continue to ensure the foundation's policies and practices regarding support from international partners are appropriate, just as we did when she served as secretary of state," he said.

However, no such precautions were in place during Hilly Clinton's first run for the presidency in the first five months of 2008. A Clinton Foundation official who was not authorized to speak on the record said that Oman donated to one of its major programs, the Clinton Global Initiative, during that period but did not disclose the amount.

When a former president is involved, donations from the Arab countries seem to flow more freely.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait each gave more than $1 million to help launch the Bush Center, honoring former President George W. Bush, at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and are its only foreign donors, said Hannah Abney, a center spokeswoman. The names of all three nations are etched in a wall at the center.

The Carter Center honoring former President Jimmy Carter, who brokered a historic peace treaty between Israel and Egypt, listed Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the sultan of Oman as each donating more than $1 million by 1999, the earliest annual report posted on its website. Each of those nations has since donated hundreds of thousands of dollars more.

In defending his foundation's receipt of foreign donation during a March 7 event at the University of Miami, former President Clinton pointed to money accepted from the United Arab Emirates.

"Do we agree with everything they do? No. But they're helping us fight ISIS," he said, using an acronym for the Islamic State group.

"Do I agree with all of the foreign policy of Saudi Arabia?" he said. "No. … You've got to decide when you do this work whether it will do more good than harm if someone helps you from another country."

It's unclear how much Hilly Clinton was informed about the foundation's donors before 2013, when the foundation was reconstituted as the Bill, Hilly and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, adding hers and the Clintons' daughter to its name. However, she could have found out with a couple of clicks of a computer mouse on the foundation's website.

Before Hilly Clinton became secretary of state, nObama's transition team and the foundation agreed to limit potential conflicts of interest by prohibiting foreign governments from donating "materially" more money than they did in previous years.

The Washington Post reported recently that, among seven countries that donated during those years, was a new donor, Algeria, whose $500,000 contribution put the foundation in violation of the agreement. Algeria was lobbying the State Department at the time amid rising concerns that its government had engaged in human rights abuses, including restricting women's rights.

Minassian said that Algeria's embassy in Washington sent an unsolicited check to the Clinton Foundation Haiti Relief Fund days after the island nation was rocked by an earthquake on Jan. 12, 2010. While the money was distributed as "direct aid to Haiti," he said, "the State Department should have been informed once the foundation became more aware of Algeria's contribution."

Foundation officials did not seek preapproval from the nObama administration "because of the urgency of Haiti's needs," he said.

Longtime observers of the Clintons express little surprise that one of the nation's most powerful couples is again engulfed in controversy.

Patrick Griffin, who headed the White House's congressional liaison office during Bill Clinton's first term, said the foreign donations are far less troubling than dealings that put money directly into the pockets of some former presidents.

Griffin, who now works at American University's Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies, cited Ronald Reagan's acceptance of $1 million each from a Japanese communications firm and the Tokyo government for two speeches during a trip to Japan months after he left office. Bill Clinton has raised over $100 million in fees from giving speeches since he left office in 2001.

Griffin conceded that some foreign governments may be "trying to have some cachet" with former President Clinton and his wife.

"Knowing her to some extent," he said, "I find it not credible to believe that she would be influenced by a donation to the foundation in the past about a decision that would affect American interests going forward."

The Humphrey Institute's Jacobs called it puzzling that, after President Clinton was embroiled in controversy over foreign campaign donations and other controversies in the 1990s, the Clintons would once again skirt the lines of propriety.

"Most people, once they've gotten singed, they would say, 'Hey, we're going back to the public arena. Let's just play this above board.'" he said. "The Clintons instead take a formalistic reading of it, knowing full well that they're going to face another barrage of criticism. … I think, frankly, there's an arrogance of power here."

DOMESTIC POLICY.

1-     Unemployment- A- Create jobs for Americans by revising all free trade agreements. Trade deficits must end. B- Focus on an economy development through the financing of small business in all 50 states of the union.

2-     Corruption –Prosecute all government personnel that were engage in corruption during the Bush and Obama administration. We must demise corruption and set a path for moral leadership in government.

3-     Budget deficits- Reduce federal budget deficits by implementing a system of accountability and auditing that justified expenses and eliminate waste in all areas of government programs. Taxpayer’s money should be expended wisely to benefit the general public not especial interest.

4-     Welfare system- A- End the free welfare system; we must help the people in need of economy assistance to re-store their dignity by working for the money they get as assistance while they go through an economy hardship. B- No American should be homeless and hungry in America, we must form cooperatives, funded by the State and Federal government to develop self-supported business for the homeless and become a productive class.

5-     Corporate Business- A- monopoly and oligopolies must end.  The control of more than eighty per cent of the market by one or two corporations it is not in the best interest of the US consumers. B- Predator corporatism and the demise of small business by big corporations by monopolism should end and declare to be against commerce business etiquette.

6-     Bank Business- A- All State banks and credit Union should be register under state laws and do business in support of state financial needs. All interstates Banks should register with the states to support the needs of multinational corporations and interstate corporations, but they should not be in operation to compete with local state banks.

The duty of police officers is to protect the people not kill any one; any killing done by police officers must be investigated by an agency that is not connected to the police to demise the cover-up and corruption in the police force.

9-     Education- A- An education reform is the most important issue to get our country on the path of prosperity. The federal government key function is to set the goals of the country on education and the financing of education.  B- Delegate to each state of this union the complete duty and responsibly of the education of the citizens of their state. C- Education Foreign students that are illegals in our country, should be the responsibility of each state, but the federal government should compensate the state for the cost of educating this segment of the student population.

B- US Corporation should be tax for the exportation of capital and equipment to foreign countries to be use in the production of goods to the US market for the purpose to compete with products made in the USA. C- Importation of goods by us corporations in competition with goods made in the USA should be tax, to protect US business.

11-  Natural Resources- Our natural resources should be protect and use in the best interest of the people’s future and generations to come.

FOREIGN POLICY.

1-     Wars and military intervention-End all military interventions and non-declare wars. Congress must follow our constitution regarding a declaration of war.

2-     Investigate and prosecute-Americans have the right to know the truth, the next president must promise the American people; that will be a true investigation of the events that lead us to the wars in the Middle East. The truth will set our country free, and not soldier should be send to war and die for our country under the pretense that they are fighting for our security and Democracy.

3-     Set new strategy on foreign policy- Change our foreign policy, we want to be the world’s leader and be trust by the world community. All our dealings with foreign countries must be done under the concept of fairness integrity and of benefit to both parties.

4-     Close military post-Close all the military post. US military presence has expanded dramatically worldwide for the control of humanity’s economic, social and political activities under the helm of US corporate and military power. Underlying this process are various schemes of direct and indirect military intervention. These US sponsored strategies ultimately consist in a process of global subordination. We have become the world’s bully and the oppressor of the world community. This strategy of world control is creating enemies “The so call terrorist”.

5-     Stop spying on our friends-Stop the wiretapping of countries that we call allies or friends of the USA.

6-     Stop the overthrowing of foreign governments- Stop the undermining of foreign countries political elected governments by bribery, coercion, corruption, assassination or military interventions.

7-     Re-store our moral leadership in our government-Re-store our moral leadership in our government and work for world peace and prosperity. Wars are of not benefit to any one; it creates chaos poverty and hate.

Mr. Candidate, we the people will choose our next president, we will choose our candidate; support our candidate and all the money that we contribute will go to our candidate, not to the party.  We know that the best investment that we can make on this election is being part of the promotion of our candidate; we will become an activist for the man we want in Washington. May God give us the wisdom, determination and courage to place in office the man that will change this path of corruption and set our country on the path of moral principles and prosperity.

We the people.

Writing to create some solid foundations for what I find of validity, having some basis of fact, and to synthesize what is known as comparative to our current scenario, is this not what all – all who love, who bleed Red, White, and Blue – should not also be doing? Should not we, as the citizens of this nation, not reflect on the wonderment of our genesis, this nation’s wonder, not only created, but the reduction of trials and errors of mankind – civilized mankind – since the know history of not only society, but more specific our society?

Addressing this current situation, what sample set do we know that can be used, small enough to make a comparative, that a comparative with others in the same situation can be made? The reality of fact, men make up the majority of the political catastrophe the world is now experiencing, so if we use the smaller sub-set, women, can we make some analysis of this nation, with others? The answer is obvious. History has given us some women with such remarkable ability, and proven track record of political achievement they can more easily be measured against what this nation offers.

In man’s past history there are women who stand out. Queen Elisabeth, and the reign of her monarch of the World Wide Empire of Britain is remarkable. Facts are facts, she had a very powerful reign, but she also had the clout, the force to enforce that clout, and a nation striving to advance civilization during her reign. More was available for her success; then there were to oppose her limited dynasty.

In the modern era, no woman comes even close to the leadership of Golda Meir of Israel. When one studies the absolute catastrophe of leading a nation surrounded by political entities that not only are barbaric, but under their theocracy of insanity, the dementia of psychopathic sociopathic idolatry of islam, preserved and defeated the combined efforts of the coalition of these surrounding forced. The Yon Kippur War is today, and will remain throughout man’s history – if man’s history continues, and the darkest of dark ages is not initiated – as a shining example of the highest virtue, that man … or woman … can reach.

Though Golda Meir is being used as an example, of the differences of women leadership in other nations and this nation. A point has to be injected about this scenario of dealing with the psychosis of sociopathic cult ideology of the theocracy of islam. This cult, this extension of government, indoctrinates their citizens where even the natural rights of man are dismissed. Those who are inundated in this societal perversion can only be compared to leprosy. Leprosy is a disease caused by bacteria. Spread among others by association of society, and the population.

The dementia of islam, has been identifies by Winston Churchill that is so to concise and to the point no other is required. His observation, ‘it is a fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, for there is indoctrinated into those effected a fearful fatalistic apathy.’

In the Middle East, Israel is surrounded by countries where this anti-civilized social disease is prominent. Spread by those with the disease, spreading their sociological distortion to other – mostly by the sword – as, unless one had mental distortions, cannot be accepted as logical reality. The most dangerous ideology, akin to communism, known in the history of civilized mankind.

Today, our president is breaking the laws of this nation, and using the purse of this nation’s wealth, to bring those with this social disease into this nation. There is no precedent to this insanity, nor is there any example in the history of mankind where any leader – by his own ideology of nihilism and intent to ‘fundamentally change this nation’ or shall we say, initiate genocide of an nation’s ethnicity, its culture, and everything else that is that nation – that is known. All with the intent and purpose to achieve only one result, which is to advance that very nation’s destruction.

Think of the difference, Meir preserved her nation from the forces of barbarianism. Our president is maliciously and with premediated rancor advocating, and applying his illegal actions with the objective of this nation’s demise. One in Gola Meir, a leader with understanding of what it is a leader does. The other, an absolute nincompoop, with mental retardation of his mind, the ideology of both islamic leaning, and communist thievery – as inversely dedicated to this nation preservation – the antithesis in his objective.

History has another woman, who as long as civilized mankind exists will always be revered and remembered as what she was – the iron lady. Margaret Thatcher’s leadership during some insane times for her nation is so exemplar of remarkable, there is no comparative. During her watch, there was as attacks on – not the national sovereignty – but on the protection of British citizens. The Falklands invasion by Argentina was against British Citizens. The only reaction of a civilized nation's government – react for the citizen’s protection – to preserve the integrity of the ‘property’ of those citizens using force is necessary.

To make this a comparative is obvious. Today our national direction, by the current president, is amplified representing some of the most drastic destructive measures ever known in any society of man, every known. Our administration is leading the charge, not to protect the property of rights of man, but to destroy the rights of even man’s visions and reason. The destruction of property rights, in every way possible – one example is aimed at the intellectual rights of man, in the patent world – are being destroyed by government intervention. All Americans should be following this communist central planning fiasco being generated by central planning, under the fantasy of patent trolls – an imaginary term, that will only exist under the new legislation of this administration, for the ‘FIRST TO PERFORM’ the concept it must work – as there is no proof what you propose is possible. This is, and can only lead to the destruction of the wonder of this nation, occurring in the shadows while the citizens are oblivious. As our president is living proof, affirmative action will never work; this travesty is proof that Americans are oblivious of the facts of reality. Most appropriately, a British renegade television presenter, Jeremy Clarkson made this evaluation of Americans stated: ‘most Americans, barely have the brains to walk on their back legs.’ When one listens to the man in the street interviews conducted by so many, is it not confirmable that this reality exists? To say Americans are naïve in knowledge of their nation and the political environment, in which they live, is kind. For most Americans are so oblivious to the society of which they are part, and the history, the why, it is, is as if it is unknown.

Margaret Thatcher also admired this nation, this miracle of the united STATES of America. Perhaps the greatest evaluation of why, we, this nation is do different was her observation. ‘Europe was created by history. America was created by philosophy.’ When one understands that meaning, it amplifies those words of wonder Jefferson used in our Declaration of Independence explaining our nation’s philosophical intent.

What does this nation, in the current political genre offer for woman? Whom shall we review? As Hillary Clinton is running to lead this nation, we’ll look at her record. That was darn easy wasn’t it? A career where the highlight of her decision making was to turn down the opportunity to be a disciple of the cultural communist ideology – using the expansion and destruction of this nation with welfare overload – of Saul Alinsky. Easily understandable as she was an expert on such destruction of this nation, as she had written her dissertation on this psychotic dementia, of Saul Alinsky. The only fact of facts known for her ever to have made – refusing the appointment as a disciple – and commenting, I can cause more change from within, than outside the government. This is the format, the template of communist design since, long before even Marx and Hegel.

Another entity of the female persuasion we know – I’m from a foreign planet – Elizabeth Warren. History will always preserve idiotic rhetoric with such distasteful reservation, even if this nation is destroyed, will live on in infamy. ‘You didn’t build that!’

Where can anyone even make such irrational absolute confirmable fallacy as a statement is beyond understanding? Her irrational reasoning is that you didn’t build the roads that support the transportation your company uses. You didn’t build the schools that taught the workers your company employs, and other equally nauseating statements of such absolute illusion, it is difficult to even comprehend this insanity. Should not the first question be asked; then who did build these things? Who built these roads, these schools, taught these workers? Her contention, her fantasy of presentation, government built that!

Should not the challenge be, show me one dollar that the government generated – without first taking that dollar from the taxpayers, under their direction of how it is spent – that has built anything in this nation!

There is nothing. The simple reality is government builds nothing. Government is but a manager, taking from the wealth of this nation, and then – without consideration too often of the very citizens paying the bill, doing what they … not the constituents, or the citizens of this nation … desire. Long ago, the evaluation of what communism is was so eloquently identified by Antonia Gramsci, in the 20’s of what communism really is. His observation, ‘communism is not an ideology in which one believes; it is a criminal endeavor in which one enlists.’ Can anyone disagree that this observation is also not the same iconic reality of what government – all government everywhere – is?

When we, as citizens of this nation make a review of what government has created, there is only one thing and one thing only. Our government has only one shining example of something they – and they alone – have created. It is so obvious that it can be measured, verified, and confirmed. The question is, why did not any journalist, why did not any politician, why did not anyone challenge this reality and ask the obvious – is not the only thing government has ever built for this nation is – what government creates; is ‘DEBT?’

To borrow in the name of the credit on behalf of the taxpayers who are responsible for these future obligations payments, the interest, and the taxation on the earnings they will make to pay this obligation are then identified as building something. Is there any more ludicrous statement possible? There is an evaluation measurement which states, a willing suspension of disbelief. As such, what is obvious to disbelieve, is removed from your consideration. You accept that, which no rational person, with the intellect of seeing the obvious would reject. In the understanding of mankind, there has been, and still is, the question of what is it that causes man to make the decisions he makes. That is a crude statement of the obvious, but in this nation the why, the reason the concept of philosophy even began? Is not the question that so many or more real, so few, desiring to achieve? In our modern society of mankind, why man does what man does is so convoluted, so criminal in reasoning, the why is often forgotten. The shining example is the congress of this nation. There is not anyone, who is cognitive enough to see what is obvious occurring in this nation today, who can possibly comprehend the why of their actions. In the acknowledgement of philosophical evaluation, one Immanuel Kant argued that man is driven by fundamental concepts. One reality that is, or should be, the obvious that anything one evaluates is measured by the cause – the why of why anything is done – and the effect, the results of doing whatever is done creates. Is it not incomprehensible that anyone would initiate any action, when the result – the ultimate result – of that action has a known result that cannot be changed? Stealing today, in some illusion that tomorrow will be better – ignoring the obligation of what that theft had done to society – is more than incomprehensible; it is beyond the reasoning or the rationale of anyone who would qualify for the identification of Homo sapient, a thinking man. Those actions, when the results, the effect, are known, advancing is beyond idiotic, the only measurement is the premeditated advancement of confirmable – malicious – insanity.

There once was an axiom that existed in society, unknown today. Once upon a time, in a universe far, far, away, where reason resides, there were certain ideals of society that had no variance. Some call them deal breakers, that last point, that – as Travis at the Alamo stated, the line, the final decision – no one can ignore, and not take a position, and keep that decision. Many have heard it stated as ‘them’s fighting words,’ statements made that were rejected absolutely. Our world today has no such deal breakers, those things that society, and individuals, by their choice of standards of their own chose, there mores, their morals, and their culture. Such principles, foundations, and confirmations are unknown in our society today.

Our nation today, has many patriots we often know, but don’t acknowledge. Who cannot be in awe of those such as Judson Phillips sponsoring, and auditing Tea Party Nation? This is not a singular media presentation, many, who realize that the gargantuan journalist effort of what has many monikers. We know media as, the drive by media, the mass media service, or whatever identifier you wish or recognize. It has, and provides too many, the only knowledge, and influence on this nation’s political understanding, and economic illiteracy, historical fallacy, and the list goes on and on. To say as Jeremy Clarkson shared, it is a wonder Americans can walk on their back legs, perhaps is appropriate. Though perhaps an entertaining cliché it is not accurate. What is more apropos is the reality that a nation once leading in the development of civilization, has now decided to reverse course and retreat to the barbarianism, mimic, the rest of the world.

In this reality of the reality of the society in which we, by our very existence, participate, those who take the time to evaluate, learn, and attempt to understand the cause and effect of what is happening in this nation, and the world, is so small it is damn near insignificant. When one measures the media that reaches our society, is in itself represents a very scary scenario. The most enlightened, who has that ability, the same as Kant identifies – to see the obvious and state such – is Rush Limbaugh. He reaches on a weekly basis according to the Nielsen … the most recognized gauge of radio listening … of 13.25 million people. Think of the reality of this measurement. Those who listen to Rush, listen to Rush regularly. So by interpretation, this measurement, this 13.25 million, can be accepted as the number of individual reached daily. Now consider the comparatives.

In the media of radio, the second most listened too is the National Propaganda Radio, of the government. They reach on average, 13 million, and as the Rush measurement, can be on a daily basis. Is it not obvious, for every individual who is exposed to the reality of what is happening, there is another individual who is being indoctrinated in some mantra of dogmatic rhetoric, that is so far from reality, that they wouldn’t know reality if it came up and introduced itself.

Compounding that irrational advancement of learning ignorance –as if the catastrophe of our academic indoctrination of social engineering, instead of learning our ‘federally’ control public academia is doing – is not all. The Collegiate level indoctrination, the media of local TV, and the printed news service in this nation, are for the highest majority, not for the preservation of America, but complicit in ‘the fundamental transformation.’

Thank you, all who take the time, the effort, and the engagement of thinking to evaluate – learning, and thinking about – the danger this nation is facing.

The answer is, as it has always been, the composite knowledge, the intellect of our society making decisions of reason, not emotion. It is, and has always been our salvation. Encourage all you know to remember that. If not the dark ages this nation is accelerating towards, will make the darkness of man’s mistakes in the past, be but irrelevant.

Hillary-Clinton-presidency-campaign-2016-569936

Upon hearing Hillary's ad announcing that she is running for president, I thought, these despicable people (Democrats) have no shame. The substance of Hillary's ad is same old, same old; standard Democrat low rent campaign tactics; class envy and victimhoodism.

In her ad, Hillary says, “...the deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top.” Her message is vote for me and I'll stop those SOBs from hogging and stealing your share of the American pie.

Hillary's ad also mentioned that Americans have gone through challenging economic times and the importance of family. Well, the truth of the matter is the greatest enemy of business and families is the Democratic party. Democrats continuously exhibit hostility towards business, implementing anti-business policies, intrusive and job killing government regulations.

Democrats continue to make it easier and even encourage more Americans to forget working for a living and simple rely on government handouts. One can only conclude that this is Democrats' insidious strategy to win new voters. Who is going to bite (vote out of office) the hand feeding them? Folks, we are talkin' over 92 million Americans unemployed, but still have cellphones, flat screen TVs and not missing meals.

As for the American family, Democrat policies which enable and even nurture bad behavior contributes to the destruction of families. As an American who happens to be black, I have experienced in my family the devastating effects of Democrats' low expectations of blacks; numerous cousins addicted to government welfare which birthed serial out-of-wedlock births, crime, drug abuse, incarceration and early deaths.

Whenever Conservatives and Republicans compassionately address the havoc in the black community left in the wake of the Democrats' failed policies, Democrats flock to their mainstream media buddy's microphones to proclaim these good Samaritan Conservatives and Republicans white-insensitive-racists.

So, when Hillary and her fellow Democrats pretend to champion families, I want to say, “You got to be kidding me. Gag me!”

Here we go again. Hillary comes out promising to be a champion of the suffering and down trodden which she and her party created. Hillary's campaign is standard Democratic Party bait and switch; a continuation of their screwing of America. These people are disgusting. Have they no shame?

Hillary's game plan to win the White House is to continue the Great Democratic Party Deception: pretend to be an advocate for the common man while being the source of their problems; keeping them stuck in just barely getting-by-mode, enslaved to government and making it extremely challenging to rise to higher economic levels. Hillary is banking on a complicit mainstream media to help her pull it off, duping clueless voters.

I pray that our GOP presidential wannabes will have the courage and wisdom to speak out against Hillary's deceptive, disgusting and arrogant I-think-voters-are-idiots standard Democrat campaign strategy.

Chairman, Conservative Campaign Committee

Ease With Marxism Behind Diplomatic Thaw With Cuba
On one hand, Barack nObama's face-to-face meeting with Cuban leader Raul Castro, which culminated in a handshake, was a failure. Before the meeting, nObama didn't re-establish a U.S. embassy in Cuba, nor did he scrub the Pearl of the Antilles from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. But in his handshake with Castro, nObama extended goodwill towards Marxism. Furthermore, the two talked by phone ahead of their meeting and the State Department officially released its recommendation to no longer recognize Cuba as a sponsor of terrorism. Cuba was the only country on the short list that supported Marxist terror groups (the rest were countries like Iran that feed Islamic terrorism), which shows that some regard Marxism as no longer a threat. As we wrote back in December when the nObama administration first announced these deals with Cuba, "[T]he U.S. was in prime position to negotiate for human rights improvements in Cuba. Instead, nObama just offered Cuba a huge influx of dollars for nothing in return." More...  -The Patriot Post

SCOOBY DOO OR SCOOBY DON’T? HILLY TRIES FOR   AUTHENTICITY
You know, Bill had always seemed to be the Clinton who would be more likely to have a van. But it’s Hilly who’s rolling out the official phase of her 2016 run from a passenger seat in a minivan bound for Iowa. The question is whether voters will see humility or pandering. What if you knew she plotted her campaign strategy at the beachfront estate of Oscar de la Renta in the Dominican Republic? Yeah… Media outlets are trying to find “Scooby,” Clinton’s purported nickname for the vehicle that started out on I-80 bound for a Tuesday afternoon event in Iowa. (Hint: It’s the one traveling in a Secret Service convoy.) One supposes that if reporters haven’t found the vehicle by then, the campaign will have to send up flares or tow a blimp just to make sure. Whatever it takes to get the helicopter shot of her and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsuit as it rolls across the Mississippi.
In 2008, Clinton tried to create terror in her rivals by choppering in for big rallies, which reinforced what people already knew about her: She’s rich, she’s powerful and she plays to win. Always. This time, she’s going for an aura of humility and “putting you first.” She’s very much following the Madison Avenue playbook of the moment. If it hadn’t been Clinton who had popped up after 90 seconds in her video, it might have been the CEO of Bank of America of Google selling a new product. It’s not by accident that big businesses have mastered such demographically targeted, slickly earthy spots and spend millions to make them. Those kinds of warm and fuzzy videos are designed to soften the image of corporate leviathans. But sometimes artificial folksiness backfires.
The logistics of getting one of the world’s most famous and powerful people across a 1,000-mile road trip and looking camera-ready for a campaign event must be no mean feat. One would suppose that wherever Clinton overnights this evening, she will be met by her staff for full preparations. A 19-month drive to the presidency can’t start with bed head and gaffes. And having acknowledged that she cannot be herself and win, how will Clinton respond when herself splurps through the cracks in the folksy veneer? Unlike big corporations that can almost completely control their public interactions, Clinton will have to face dozens of interviews, some press conferences and near-daily commentaries on current events. Rather than yet another reinvention, Clinton may end up wishing she opted to be herself or at least a version not so painful to maintain.  -Fox News

Team nObama -   Taking up a central theme of the newly announced Hilly Clinton campaign, President nObama will hit the road Tuesday to mark Equal Pay Day. Laying out what the White House calls “stark” differences with Republicans, the president will push Congress to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act, which the administration says would significantly strengthen the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and give women additional tools to fight pay discrimination.   -Fox News

Poll: Dems and indies don’t want a Hilly coronation -   About three quarters of Democrats and independents don’t like the idea of a Clinton coronation, according to a Bloomberg poll.  Asked if Hilly Clinton should face serious competition for the nomination, 72 percent said it would be a good thing for the Democratic Party. Overall, the national poll gave Clinton a 48 percent favorable rating versus 44 percent unfavorable. Asked if they would vote for Clinton if she were the nominee 39 percent of respondents, a plurality, said they would definitely not vote for here, as opposed to 18 percent who said they would definitely vote for her.   -Fox News

BONING UP: WALKER ON WEEKLONG EURO TRIP
Sheboygan Press: “Gov. Scott Walker is becoming something of a globe-trotter as world affairs loom large in the 2016 Republican presidential race and attention has been drawn to his early foreign policy stumbles. He began a weeklong visit to Germany, France and Spain on Friday, and in May plans to go to Israel, a touchstone for many U.S. politicians with presidential aspirations. Meantime his political group, Our American Revival, has bulked up on staffers to coach Walker on foreign policy, a gap in his resume as he considers entering the GOP presidential contest.”

Islamic State assaults Baiji oil refinery
(Bill Roggio & Caleb Weiss) - The Islamic State has launched a new assault on the Baiji oil refinery in Iraq’s Salahaddin province. The Iraqi military claimed it has repelled the attack...In photos released on April 11, the Islamic State showed its forces attacking the refinery and penetrating the perimeter of the complex. Several images detail the use of US-made Humvees and home-made rocket launchers cobbled together from civilian vehicles. Other pictures show the use of camouflaged howitzers and tanks. Two photos highlight the deployment of a suicide bomber by the name of Abu Ma’awiya al Khorasani; the moniker “Khorasani” implies the bomber was from the Afghanistan-Pakistan region.       http://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2015/04/islamic-state-assaults-baiji-oil-refinery.php?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+LongWarJournalSiteWide+%28The+Long+War+Journal+%28Site-Wide%29%29

UN Pushes Common Core-style Global Education Regime
UN Pushes Common Core-style Global Education Regime
(Alex Newman) - About one third of the world’s governments and dictatorships are on track to meet United Nations education targets aiming to change the values of humanity as part of its “Education for All” initiative...according to a report released last week by the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). With Common Core and related schemes, the nObama administration has been at the forefront of that effort. To deal with those that have not yet met UN schooling goals, UNESCO bureaucrats are seeking more than $22 billion per year in taxpayer funding to provide what the self-styled global education agency refers to as “quality education” for all children. Going forward, as a component of the broader UN “post-2015 agenda,” the UN outfit outlined even more extreme plans to impose its “quality education” scheming on all of humanity. What a scam, the state can do just as well if lift alone and they won't need billions from taxpayers.       http://www.thenewamerican.com/culture/education/item/20657-un-pushes-common-core-style-global-education-regime?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=91a67ebddf-The_Editors_Top_Picks_3_12_143_12_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8ca494f2d2-91a67ebddf-289778381

 nObama’s Gun-Grabbing, ‘Absolutely Unconstitutional’
(AmyElizabeth) - There are growing claims that guns are being seized and destroyed illegally by police nationwide...Michael Roberts surrendered 21 firearms that were cherished family heirlooms to the Torrance Police Department in 2010, after his doctor filed a restraining order against him. The court order was the result of a dispute Roberts had with a member of the doctor’s staff and, after Roberts pleaded no contest, the matter was resolved. Yet, even though he filed the proper Law Enforcement Gun Release paperwork on four separate occasions, obtained clearance from the California Department of Justice and had two court orders commanding the return of his guns, police refused to hand them over. With the backing of the National Rifle Association and California Rifle and Pistol Association, Roberts filed a federal lawsuit in May 2014, over the $15,500 worth of firearms. In the end he got the money, but not the guns. The police had had them destroyed.       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/04/13/watch-judge-napolitano-obamas-gun-grabbing-is-absolutely-profoundly-unconstitutional/

EPA, Endangered Species Act Used To Target American Citizens
(rickwells.us) - California Republican Assemblywoman Shannon Grove represents a portion of Kern County, the second largest agricultural sector in the country. She’s been sounding the alarm over the suicidal water policies and restrictions imposed by the federal government...which are destroying much of California’s agricultural capacity, taking with it a large portion of the American food supply. It’s not that California doesn’t or didn’t have enough water. They did. The valuable water is simply being wasted, flushed out to sea the name of preserving a three-inch long fish, the Delta Smelt. She created a video highlighting the problem, to get the message out to America that this is more than just a drought. It’s a totally unnecessary and preventable threat to our national food supply which continues to this very moment, in spite of the critical nature of the situation.       http://www.rickwells.us/epa-endangered-species-act-used-to-target-american-citizens-create-drought-crisis-to-control-food-supply/

The Middle East Turmoil and Israel's Security
(Efraim Inbar) - The Middle East is in great turmoil. The statist order that underpinned the region for a century has collapsed. Several states have lost their monopoly over the use of force and are no longer able to provide law and order....This is especially true of Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, and Syria. Even Egypt, the only historic Arab state, has had difficulties effectively enforcing its sovereignty over its territory. Many of the militias challenging these state entities have a radical Islamist ideology, reflecting the rise in appeal of political Islam in the Arab world. In contrast to the leaders of these states, who are inefficient and corrupt, the Islamists actually deliver services to the people and have a reputation for being brutal but honest. However, the likes of Al Qaida in Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) or the so called Islamic State (IS) are hardly the proper agents for modernizing their environments and their popularity dooms the Arab world to continuous ignorance and poverty. For this and other reasons, Israel will need to remain vigilant in the years ahead.          http://www.meforum.org/5174/israel-middle-east-security

nObama Claims Americans Would Panic If We Were Told The Truth
(rickwells.us) - Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson validated what most Americans already know about the Democrat level of commitment to the concept of political transparency and informing the American people...They are completely opposed to acknowledging their actions or our situation, and defend their obscurity by professing that we simply “can’t handle the truth.” Johnson references two campaign pledges he says he has kept, that he would always tell the truth to the best of his ability and also to never vote or conduct himself during a reelection period any differently than he did when his seat wasn’t in contention.       http://www.rickwells.us/sen-ron-johnson-obama-claims-americans-would-panic-if-we-were-told-the-truth-wants-us-ignorant/

Checking in on the Jayvee Team
(nicedeb.wordpress.com) - With so much of the world’s attention in recent weeks being on Iran, ISIS must be feeling a little neglected — because they appear to be acting out even more than usual... “Hey, we’re an existential threat too,” they seem to be saying as they post pictures of themselves playing soccer with human heads.” “Hey, we may not have nukes – yet – but we sure can make pretty decent cartoons of your president being decapitated.” “Make no mistake – we really are the meanest kids on the block.” No joke – they really are the meanest and most demented kids on the block. They remind me of the evil inbred freaks in the Texas Chainsaw massacre. Only those freaks actually retained an ounce of humanity. They need to be stopped cold by a military willing to unleash overwhelming force on them.  https://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2015/04/14/checking-in-on-the-jay-vee-team/

ISIS Camp a Few Miles from Texas, Mexican Authorities Confirm
(judicialwatch.org) - ISIS is operating a camp just a few miles from El Paso, Texas, according to Judicial Watch sources that include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector...The exact location where the terrorist group has established its base is around eight miles from the U.S. border in an area known as “Anapra” situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Another ISIS cell to the west of Ciudad Juárez, in Puerto Palomas, targets the New Mexico towns of Columbus and Deming for easy access to the United States, the same knowledgeable sources confirm. During the course of a joint operation last week, Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the sprawling military installation that houses the US Army’s 1st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.    http://linkis.com/judicialwatch.org/kZnMO

Rouhani Dismisses White House Compromise With Congress on Deal
(THOMAS ERDBRINK and RICK GLADSTONE) - Iran’s president on Wednesday dismissed the compromise worked out between the nObama administration and Congress over an impending nuclear agreement as internal American politics...saying the Iranians were negotiating with six countries, not just the United States. The president, Hassan Rouhani, also reiterated Iran’s position that onerous economic sanctions that have been imposed on the country for years by the United Nations, United States and European Union must be lifted with the signing of any final agreement. The remarks by Mr. Rouhani, a prime architect of a framework nuclear agreement reached April 2 with the so-called P5-plus-1 group of powers, amounted to the first official Iranian reaction to a compromise reached on Tuesday between the White House and the Senate over the nuclear negotiations.       https://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2015/04/15/rouhani-dismisses-white-house-compromise-with-congress-on-iran-nuclear-deal/

Hamas Rebuilding War Machine as Gaza Deteriorates
(investigativeproject.org) - The Hamas leadership in Gaza has been unable to rebuild any of the homes destroyed in last summer's war with Israel, but the terrorist group has had little trouble using heavy machinery to restore its vast tunnel networks that can be used in future attacks...Reconstruction of Gaza has "barely begun," the Associated Press reports. At least the above-ground kind. Underground, small bulldozers are busy restoring damaged tunnels, using "whatever cement [Hamas] can get its hands on," the Times of Israel reports. Hamas has been diverting cement and construction material intended for civilian rebuilding efforts.       http://www.investigativeproject.org/4823/hamas-rebuilding-war-machine-as-gaza-deteriorates

FOREIGN POLICY NEWSLETTER
KT McFarland

(kt@ktmcfarland.com) - The nuclear deal being negotiated between Iran and the nObama administration dominated headlines this month. The President wants a deal, even a temporary deal, even a bad deal, as his crowning, foreign policy legacy.

The whole point of an agreement with Iran was to “roll back” Iran’s nuclear program and prevent a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.  This deal does neither and still rewards Iran by lifting economic sanctions.  Iran is now poised to become the dominant economic, military, political, and possibly nuclear power in the region while its leaders continue to chant death to America, promise to annihilate Israel, and support terrorism worldwide.

In Yemen, a proxy war between Sunnis and Shiites for hegemony in the Middle East rages on. The U.S.’s intelligence capability is handicapped in Yemen by the escalating chaos, which is bad news as Yemen is home to one of the largest Al Qaeda affiliates in the world. Moreover, if the fighting spills over the border into neighboring Saudi Arabia, it will threaten the stability of one of the world’s largest oil suppliers.

We could be seeing the beginning of a thirty years’ fight to the finish religious war in the region.  If Iran introduces nuclear weapons into the region, it increases the likelihood weapons of mass destruction will be used.

Farther east, Chinese expansion into the South China Sea is worrying neighboring Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. In a recent conversation I had with Dr. Michael Pillsbury, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, we discussed Pillsbury’s contention that China is bent on a long range, secret plan to replace the U.S. as the world’s global power.

At home, the Hilly Clinton email scandal is raising larger questions about transparency and accountability during her tenure as Secretary of State. By using her personal email account to do government business, and then unilaterally deciding which emails to delete, Clinton robbed the American people of a historical record and violated legal precedents. More importantly, Clinton’s account invites the possibility that sensitive information could have been hacked. This is disconcerting news as cyber security is an increasing national security problem for the United States.

IRAN
Despite the escalating proxy wars between Sunnis and Shiites, the nObama administration is determined to reach a deal that will only accelerate a nuclear arms race in the Middle East. Any agreement that does not permanently dismantle Iran’s nuclear program will make the region even more volatile and dangerous than it already is. In trying to justify the deal, the administration is advertising a false choice, claiming it’s this or war. NeoConservatives seem to agree, and see bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities as the only way to stop it from acquiring the bomb.

Both are wrong.

There is a third way, and it is a proven tactic from Reagan’s Cold War playbook—encourage the Iranian people to demand regime change.  The US could push the Iranian economy to the brink of collapse, foster pro-democracy movements, and tear down the Iranian regime’s cyber-wall.  We’ve seen the Arab Spring topple dictatorships throughout the region, why not in Iran?
