Standard & Poor's Meets the Chicago Way of Governing

Standard and Poor, the financial rating credit company, has been around since the 1860's but they were recently introduced to the "Chicago Way" of governance. Tasked with issuing ratings for the debt of public and private companies, the company was the first to recognize that America's growing debt is a ticking time bomb that could explode on taxpayers and investors alike. On August 5, 2011, the company downgraded the US's sovereign debt from AAA to AA+. The Obama administration promised revenge and have extracted it.

Immediately upon issuing the change in ratings then Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner threatened the Chairman of the company by promising the government would hold S&P "accountable" and their conduct would be "looked at very carefully." Two years later, Eric Holder's "Justice Department" did just that by filing a civil lawsuit against the company claiming they were responsible for the financial meltdown of 2008 because of their ratings of mortgage-backes securities. Other major credit rating agencies that issued similar, if not the very same ratings on the same financial instruments, were left alone.

The company tired to protect its reputation by fighting the allegations in court. Facing the opposition of the unlimited resources of the federal government and the threat of massive fines by the innovative thinking of DOJ's lawyers, the company was forced to seek a settlement, a move the New York Times declared "support[s] the conclusion that it is futile to fight government fines." The paper detailed how lawyers for the federal government "invoked an obscure federal law passed a quarter-century ago after the savings and loan scandals. The law, the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989, or Firrea, requires a lower burden of proof than criminal charges and empowers prosecutors to demand unusually large penalties: up to $1.1 million per violation.” Faced with the threat of billions of dollars of fines, the company appears to have capitulated.

This president has increased America's debt load by a staggering $7 trillion dollars in only six years. The White House has sent a stark message to Wall Street -- ignore the growing debt crisis or face a similar wrath. S&P tried to warn us of the coming storm. For that they shouldn't be punished but they should be hailed.

UN Moves Forward With Anti-Gun Treaty

Moving crews have packed up desks, lamps, chairs, office supplies and other personal items of numerous Democrat Senate and House offices now vacated after November's election. But in a suite of offices located directly across from the Senate Floor, there were relics from the list of bills that passed the U.S. House and sat without action inside dinky Harry Reid's office. Somewhere in that stack likely sits an anti-gun treaty signed by Secretary of State Hanoi John Kerry. To his credit, outgoing-Senate Majority Leader dinky Harry Reid likely knew the United Nation's Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) (full text here) would never meet the two-thirds majority requirement for ratification. But as of Christmas Eve, the treaty has gone into effect internationally. The UN General Assembly first approved the ATT in April 2013 and Hanoi Kerry signed it on Sept. 24, 2013, amid criticism from the Republican side of the upper chamber's aisle. -The Patriot Post

Civic Virtue in Decline

As we enter 2015, it's worth looking back on some key cultural indicators from 2014. Here is one bad omen: According to a 2014 Associated Press-GfK poll, Americans' sense of civic virtue is in serious decline. "I don't see any recovery," said Rutgers University Professor Cliff Zukin. "The people who were 40 two decades ago aren't as engaged as the people who were 60 two decades ago. This generational slippage tends to continue." The poll was a reprise of questions asked in 1984, and it focused on six civic-oriented activities: voting, volunteering, jury service, reporting crimes, knowing English and keeping on top of news and public issues. Only voting and volunteering were embraced as enthusiastically as they were 30 years ago, yet even those numbers are not particularly encouraging. Only 28% of Americans consider volunteering a "very important obligation." And while 75% characterize voting a central obligation of citizenship, talk is cheap: Voter turnout in the last presidential election dipped to 57.5% of eligible citizens compared to 62.3% in 2008. MITT’S QUALMS ABOUT GOP FIELD DRIVING POTENTIAL RUN
The $100 million question in the Republican Party today is what flipped Mitt Romney’s switch to the “on” position for another presidential run? Coverage of the 2012 nominee’s field-scrambling announcement to a group of donors on Friday that he was considering another run has focused on Romney’s thoughts on how he would run -- less scripted, more nimble, etc. -- but in a weekend conversation with Fox News, the former Massachusetts governor shed new light on why he went from his “no” of a year ago to a definite “maybe.”
Romney’s rationale is rooted in his concern that no one in the field of announced or soon-to-be announced candidates looks equal to the task of facing down presumptive Democratic nominee Hilly Clinton and her sprawling campaign apparatus, expected to raise and spend at least $2 billion spread across multiple groups. Romney told Fox News that no one is the field is “better prepared and in a better position” to take on Clinton’s campaign. That’s a pretty bold statement about a field that includes not just Jeb Bush, but also four sitting governors and three U.S. senators.
While Romney was quick to praise the qualities of the individual candidates themselves, he argued that given Hilly’s huge head start, his unmatched fundraising prowess, ready-to-activate national organization and near-universal name recognition might be necessary to keep the GOP from getting steamrolled. Though Romney put no timetable on his decision, he clearly sees time running short for his party. The famed Iowa Straw Poll is just eight months away and the fundraising hurdles and logistical challenges for candidates starting from scratch are steep indeed.      (burtprelutsky.com) - When some people dismiss others as low information voters, they’re not always being fair. For instance, I heard from a lot of readers in 2012 complaining that Mitt Romney didn’t bring up nObama’s Benghazi cover-up in the debates, but I pointed out that because the mass media had done such a good job of ignoring the story that if Romney had mentioned Benghazi, most of the viewing audience would have assumed he was speaking in tongues.

     I mainly knew about it because Fox News had done such a good job of covering the story. But being a successful cable station doesn’t compare to being a major network when it comes to the number of viewers. But as good as Fox is, I still wish it had competition from a cable station that didn’t waste our time with the likes of Juan Williams, Alan Colmes, Geraldo Rivera, Bob Beckel and Mark Hannah. We would get plenty of divergent viewpoints if they concentrated solely on Republicans. Pitting Ted Cruz against John McCain or Rand Paul against Marco Rubio would be a great improvement over watching Juan Williams do his impression of a minstrel man, rolling his eyes in mock horror whenever Bret Baier, Steve Hayes or Charles Krauthammer, disagrees with one of his inane statements.

     Although I get a lot of my news from Fox, I wish they had someone whose sole function is to follow up on things that have been lost in the wake of subsequent events. For instance, when Boko Haram kidnapped those 300 Nigerian school girls, I heard that nObama had sent a few hundred soldiers in to assist in the search, and then I heard nothing more about it. Are the soldiers still looking? Is anyone?

     According to Gallup’s latest poll, nObama’s approval rating has soared to 47%. The theory is that a lot of people applauded his re-opening diplomatic relations with Cuba. Even if they disagree with me and Marco Rubio about that bit of executive action, how is it that millions of us have apparently decided after six years of nObamaCare and the Benghazi, Operation Fast & Furious, VA and IRS scandals that they no longer mattered?

     Mark Twain once joked that he didn’t lie because he didn’t have a very good memory. It seems to me that Barack nObama lies because he doesn’t think we have very good memories, and the same goes for the likes of Nancy Pulosi, dinky Harry Reid, Josh Earnest and Jonathan Gruber. When nearly everything we say or do is recorded on video, you would think they would straighten out their acts, but, apparently, unless you watch Fox, you’d have no idea that these people lie, if for no other reason than to stay in practice.

     But maybe nObama is wise to take our ignorance for granted. After all, even after drawing and then quickly erasing red lines with Russia and Syria, and allowing Iran to make a monkey out of him at the negotiating table, our Commander-in-chief has proven himself to be, in the words of my friend Steve Maikoski, the Great Capitulator.

     In other news, we are told that Justin Bieber is worth $200 million. We have also heard that Oprah Winfrey is worth two billion and Warren Buffet is worth roughly 35 billion. I know it’s just a figure of speech, but I wish we would learn to just say these pinheads have an awful lot of money without suggesting they are worth a plugged nickel.

     After dismissing the movie, “Whiplash,” as a waste of time, a friend let me know he planned to see it because he liked “drum music,” and I congratulated him on coming up with a new and unique oxymoron. But after sitting through 16 other DVDs provided by the studios, all seeking my vote in the WGA award competition, I am wondering why movies even pay editors. When the new releases average 150 minutes, it’s hard to imagine that any footage ends up on the cutting room floor. You would have thought editors had gone the way of those guys who used to provide dialogue titles for silent movies.

     Speaking of movies, I can’t say I was disappointed with “Unbroken,” the story of Louis Zemperini, who first survived 47 days at sea after his plane was shot down during WWII and then, according to Laura Hillenbrand’s book, suffered daily beatings by a sadistic Japanese POW camp commander for two long years. It didn’t ring true in the book and didn’t in the movie.

     It was hard enough to survive in Japanese captivity without having to endure constant torture and no medical attention. I even wrote to Ms. Hillenbrand asking if she had actually managed to confirm what she was told or had simply accepted what Zemperini said as gospel. After all, rumor has it that men, even those in their 90s, have been known to brag to women. So far, I haven’t heard back.

     Because it’s been preying on my mind for years, I would like someone to explain why “Peanuts” has enjoyed such lasting success. I never thought it was a funny comic strip. Not funny or clever or thoughtful, and, what’s more, I thought Snoopy was a bore, even when he went up against the Red Baron. What have I been missing?

     I once heard that the best definition of an optimist was a professional accordionist with a pager. But I have come to believe that Alan Jay Lerner, the lyricist and librettist best known for “Brigadoon,” “Gigi,” and “My Fair Lady,” should have his picture next to the word in the dictionary. This is a man who married for the first time when he was 21 years old. By the time he died 46 years later, at the age of 67, he had been married seven more times. What’s more, he was married for 43 of those years, meaning he averaged less than six months between getting a divorce and once again tying the knot. If that’s not optimism, I don’t know what it is. Well, maybe insanity.

     Because some of my more concerned readers continue to ask how I am doing in the aftermath of the surgery on my hand and arm last January, I am happy to report that the rheumatoid arthritis is no longer plaguing me.

     However, I did suffer an attack of the gout recently. My only prior experience with the condition was seeing old Laurel and Hardy or Charley Chase comedies in which men suffering from the gout would be shown with his inflamed foot wrapped in a Turkish towel. But in spite of the towel, someone was sure to step on his aching foot or slam a car door on it.

     I thought it was very amusing until I was the guy who felt like he had a pin cushion sewn up in his big right toe. I never assumed I would have anything more in common with King Henry VIII than the fact we had both been married more than a couple of times -- though not as often as Alan Jay Lerner -- our occasional disagreements with the pope and our roguish little beards. Too bad it couldn’t have stayed that way.

     Believe me, the gout is no joke. The joke is that it’s commonly referred to as the rich man’s disease and somehow I got it!

Talk about inviting the fox into the hen house! I thought Republicans ran the Congress? Why is this bitch naming anyone to anything Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced in a closed-door meeting she would name the first Muslim lawmaker, Andre Carson, to the House’s Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Politico A senior Democratic aide said Rep. André Carson of Indiana would be named in the “coming days” to the key national security-focused panel. The California Democrat told lawmakers of the appointment during the members’ weekly caucus meeting.

Carson would be the first Muslim to serve on the committee and was the second Muslim to be elected to Congress. He already serves on the House Armed Services Committee and worked for the Department of Homeland Security’s Fusion Center — the clearinghouse established by the federal government to streamline data sharing between the CIA, the FBI, the Department of Justice and the military.

The intelligence committee will most likely tackle a series of high-profile international crises during the 114th Congress, including the threat of Islamic militants and Ukraine. Carson’s office didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

The announcement comes in the wake of a terrorist attack in Paris by Islamic extremists that left 12 people dead. World leaders gathered on Sunday for a 1 million person “solidarity” protest against the violence that targeted French Jews and journalists.

Why is this bitch naming anyone to anything Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi announced in a closed-door meeting she would name the first Muslim lawmaker, Andre Carson, to the House’s Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Politico A senior Democratic aide said Rep. André Carson of Indiana would be named in the “coming days” to the key national security-focused panel. The California Democrat told lawmakers of the appointment during the members’ weekly caucus meeting.

Carson would be the first Muslim to serve on the committee and was the second Muslim to be elected to Congress. He already serves on the House Armed Services Committee and worked for the Department of Homeland Security’s Fusion Center — the clearinghouse established by the federal government to streamline data sharing between the CIA, the FBI, the Department of Justice and the military.

The intelligence committee will most likely tackle a series of high-profile international crises during the 114th Congress, including the threat of Islamic militants and Ukraine. Carson’s office didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

The announcement comes in the wake of a terrorist attack in Paris by Islamic extremists that left 12 people dead. World leaders gathered on Sunday for a 1 million person “solidarity” protest against the violence that targeted French Jews and journalists.

A 41-year-old Ohio man armed with several knives tried to buy a plane ticket with a fake ID before being gunned down by police after lunging at an officer with a blade outside the Columbus airport, police said.

Hashim Hanif Ibn Abdul-Rasheed had parked illegally outside the ticketing terminal and was acting bizarrely as he tried to buy a ticket to an undisclosed location Wednesday afternoon. He showed off a woman’s ID to try and make the buy at one point before he was rebuffed, cops said.

Airport police called a tow truck to remove the illegally parked vehicle from the departures lane just before 1 p.m. Wednesday when Abdul-Rasheed returned.

“The man initially spoke with the officer then suddenly produced a knife and lunged at the officer, attempting to stab him,” the Port Columbus International Airport said in a statement. “The officer fired at the suspect, who momentarily dropped to the ground and then got back up and continued advancing towards the officer. A backup officer responded at which point the suspect quickly moved towards him with the knife forcing the officer to retreat backwards towards the terminal entrance where a third officer was positioned. The third officer shot multiple times, striking the suspect, ending the attack.”

When cops searched Abdul-Rasheed’s body, they discovered “additional knives.” Police called in a bomb squad to investigate the car and a search turned up “suspicious items,” officials said.

The entire incident was captured on surveillance video, police said. The shooting remains under investigation.

The disturbance caused some delays of just over an hour and an area of the ticketing lobby was closed off as the car was searched for explosives.

Police haven’t described the man’s motive.

“At this point this is just a violent encounter between an armed man and the officers here,” Columbus Police Sgt. Rich Weiner told reporters.

To oversee importing tens of thousands of Muslims from jihad countries? via U of M graduates receive presidential appointments – Memphis Business Journal.

The University of Memphis’ Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program can now boast D.C. appointments in the Obama Administration for three of its 2014 graduates.
Fatima Noor is now a special assistant in the Office of the Director for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the Department of Homeland Security.

They will work in the Obama administration until January 2017.
In March of this year, a University of Memphis alum who works in the White House contacted the Student Affairs administration to say that she had been successful in getting University of Memphis students a spot to interview for Presidential Appointments.
According to Meta Laabs, director of Student Affairs at the U of M, most of these interviews are usually reserved for Ivy League schools.
He added that Okere and Noor had an interest in public service before participating in the University’s Leadership Exchange, “But that program seemed to have made it okay for them to pursue that path.”

She majored in psychology with minors in Spanish and international relations. Britain’s fear of criticising Islam has led to a self-imposed ‘blasphemy law’, the former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey has warned.

Lord Carey’s comments come days after the brutal slaughter of journalists at the offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine, which printed cartoons mocking the prophet Mohammed.

He added that the Press should be encouraged to print controversial material, even if Muslims find it offensive.

Writing in the Sunday Times, the former Archbishop said: ‘A de facto blasphemy law is operating in Britain today. The fact is that publishers and newspapers live in fear of criticising Islam.’

He said that blasphemy laws were ‘unjust and outdated’, urging Muslim scholars to make it clear to followers that Islamic laws on insulting the religion do not apply to non-believers.

Lord Carey added that the media should be encouraged to publish controversial material, regardless of whether it will upset Muslims.

‘We need not worry about taking the vast majority of Muslims with us. They are much more offended by violence committed in their name than by cartoons or images of their prophet,’ he said.

It would most likely be true that if I went on secular television, be it liberal or conservative media and if I said that the problem with U.S. foreign policy is that they do not track Scripture I would quickly be dismissed, since the secular world would not want to be associated with what is considered to be archaic if one associates himself with the Bible. When it comes to the Middle East, God is the only true expert in which the world avoids as if Jesus was plagued with leprosy. While the world attempts to figure out how history will unfold, God continually spoke of nations that will arise to threaten Christianity. Today we have the dead man of Europe, Turkey flexing its power in order to revive itself in a world that is clueless and in order for Turkey to catapult itself as an Antichrist nation, there needed to be someone who has Muslim sympathies in the White House. And while the Church was asleep, the powers of darkness went to work. This began in 2008 when it was declared that the Bush foreign policy doctrine will not last in its present form. President Obama was elected and talked about “change” and everyone got excited as if the old norm was Rome and we needed a Nero to set the house on fire in order to rebuild a new order. What change President Obama brought was to succeed in generating a much stronger focus on strengthening international institutions and galvanized collective action towards universal values primarily aiding in weakening the Middle East and then furthering Turkey’s Islamist agenda to control what used to be U.S. domain of influence.

So the spirit of Nero quickly got to work and Obama claimed that Iraq was an expensive mistake and a major distraction and he drew down US forces from 142,000 in early 2009 to zero by the end of 2011. In Afghanistan, he claimed to want to end the more expensive aspects of the mission by focusing the fight on counterterrorism in Pakistan, Yemen as well as Afghanistan.

Indeed, Obama’s big first-term goal was to close the military accounts in the Muslim world under the excuse that the US could refocus its attention on the Asia-Pacific region.

But realities usually conflict with the scheme of such political strategy in which reality is returning with vengeance. The ‘Arab Spring’ revolutions which Obama was key in orchastrating turned out to be a ‘Blood Spring’ coupled with the rise of ISIS in Iraq, Hamas in Gaza, and the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt gained the public support of Turkey, while ISIS gained hidden support. Egypt is a major focus for Turkey and is why when it comes to the issue of Antichrist, westerners should not only focus on him invading Israel since Daniel in chapter 11 told us he invades Egypt, Libya and Cush (Somalia/Sudan/Ethiopia). While Turkey wants to reinstate the Muslim Brotherhood it also made no secret on its animosity against Israel.

Turkey has become the leading Muslim nation to likely produce such a threat. While Turkey tries to play the good-cop it pumps all its efforts to support all the bad-cops; the Muslim terrorists including the father of all Islamists, the Muslim Brotherhood which is centered in Egypt, while at the same time is building animosity against the Mother Harlot of all Islamists: Saudi Arabia. While this is a conclusion written in few lines here, to explain it all from a biblical perspective takes a thousand pages just as it would take to unravel the prophecies regarding the Messiah in studying their fulfillment.

Unlike what many do, we view that prophecy is not a process of zipping through verses and making claims and quick conclusions. While it is true that some areas in prophecy do not take a genius to figure out, like “which ancient nation is which” on the map. Even though this should be simple, yet many miss these in a world that lacks patience and wisdom, the two keys required to understand God’s message. There are areas in Scripture that at times it does take a ‘rocket scientist’ if you will to put the puzzle together and without these keys, conclusions end up false. One cannot just zip through biblical verses and at times even a word or two takes a book to analyze and is why careful analysis requires long reads.

In everything I watch happening today in the Middle East and unlike many who miss it, I look at everything from a biblical connect. For example, how can we understand what we see daily happening in the Muslim world from a scriptural sense. How is it that a Muslim takeover is predicted in Scripture as we watch daily conflicts between the tribal nationalistic Muslims who care less about the Islamists’ desire for a Caliphate while the Islamists want to melt down all nationalities under the banner of Umma which is a Muslim world order forcing a melting pot where everyone prays in one tongue, Arabic, and is forced to abandon his tribal affiliation and bow to the Harlot Mother which created all the mess in the first place: Mecca. Ever wonder why the Babel syndrome is not only in the beginning of the Bible in Genesis, but is also emphasized in the end of the Bible in the Book of Revelation in Mystery Babylon? Today we have Mount Babel, literally, the largest built structure in the world, with the Seven Towers overlooking the Ka’ba which houses the Black Stone. Ancient Babel also had seven towers and thrived to enforce one language for all.

This war, between tribal and Islamist, is the case in Iraq, Syria, Libya and nationalism in Egypt. It is the struggle Daniel 2:41 spoke of which at face value while zipping through the verses sounds simple when one must also dig deeper and see beyond the surface. Daniel points to the nature of the two materials (Iron and Clay) as being partly weak and partly strong. While this interpretation is correct, prophecy is multi-fasceted and we should never zip-through verses; it is also true that verse 43 has another layer regarding “mixing,” “combining,” and “adhering to one another”:

“And in that you saw the iron mixed with common clay, they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery.”

The underlined words “mixed” and “combine” are actually the same words translated differently from the Aramaic “la Muta’arreb” which also literally means, “does not Arabize.” Islam wants a melting pot (the process of mixing cultures and nationalities without borders under one language and one entity) in which everyone in the world must Arabize its culture under this revived Babel by speaking one world language (Arabic) and succumb to one world order under the banner of Islam. This is not our private view. Ibn Ezra, one of the foremost respected Jewish scholars who wrote almost a thousand years ago, agrees:

“the Greek Kingdom represented by the leopard includes the Roman Empire, for ethnically the Romans were related to the Greeks. The Kittim, identified as descendants of the Romans were related to the Yavan (Greece)… The fourth animal then represents the rule of the Arabs.”

This Greco-Roman Yavan (Ionia) is Turkey which never completely Arabized, neither were Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran who keep their own culture, but this is the goal of the Islamist that is to Arabize everyone through Islam since in Islam no one can be saved unless he worships Allah in Arabic. Prophecy students need to understand Arabia’s Islam which tried to attempt to mingle the nations through intermarriage but failed to remove God’s ordained ethnic adhesive, nationalism and tribalism since these were ordained by God after the fall of Babel and is God’s plan to keep evil from overtaking the entire world.

The threat to Christianity and Israel is pointed in Scripture as having two components. The first is the beast and then there is the Mother of Harlots which is a city in a desert place that produces what John allegorically describes as “the wine of her fornication” of which the nations must drink the “abundance of her delicacies”. This would be the oil, the pitch if you will that was used to build original Babel.

The beast which she spiritually controls and drives to do her wishes is composed of a confederacy of 10 nations. Who can argue that Saudi Arabia is where Islam stemmed from, is the center, direction for prayer, center of Muslim salvation in making Pilgrimage for the forgiveness of sins, holds the image of Islam which is bowed to, the Black Stone, and holds the delicacy the world desires and causes nations to submit via its oil? Today as I write this, we see Saudi Arabia bring Russia, Iran and the U.S. under its mercy by cranking open the oil tap flooding the market with the very blood life of all economies at a much lower price in order that all comply with its demands to cut their supplies in order that Saudi Arabia be the lead controller at OPEC.

While the American is happy that he pays less at the gas pump, the oil industry in the U.S., particularly Shale, Iran and Russia suffer massively. But the Saudi policy will eventually backfire making Russia and especially its ally Iran more intransigent in countering Saudi influence in the Middle East. This harlot is hated not just by Iran but also by Turkey in its struggle for power which has been successful in the struggle for power against the old secularist guard. Today Islam’s tentacles is spreading throughout the Muslim world. Islam’s goal is as Babel, to trim and eliminate borders, languages and nationalities. What should be easy to zip through is that in Daniel 11 this Antichrist must control Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia and even Ethiopia and in Ezekiel 28-40 it must also create a “league” (Ezekiel 30) by uniting Lydia (Turkey) with Persia (Iran), Pakistan, Afghanistan and Gomer/Beth Togarmah (the Caucasus nations) in order to resume its old form reconstructing itself, not in its original state but through tearing down the borders set up by Sykes Picot which is the call of Erdogan and ISIS trimming down borders to form an alliance of a ten Muslim nation confederacy and it all starts via Turkey’s economic cooperation with the Muslim world. While many think that its about the economy, with any totalitarian system, economy is simply a stepping stone for invoking an ideology and just as Erdogan said that Democracy is “a train that takes you to your destination, and then you get off” and so is its economic cooperation with other Muslim states.

As an effect of Turkey’s rising military existence in the region, Turkey’s relation with these countries is through economic cooperation but that this will quickly shift on a dime from economy-energy to military-security axis and we are beginning to see this. Turkey’s influence on Afghanistan and nuclear Pakistan has been increasing since 2001. It is not only that these countries follow in Turkey’s wake but also that Turkey pursues a leader policy in the region.

We have also maintained that the moderate Muslim (good cop) is at times more dangerous than the fanatic, if only the media can read between their own lines. For example, the Washington Post stated last month the most oximoronic view regarding Turkey :

“No Turkish leader since Ataturk, the military man who founded the Turkish republic, has had such a striking influence on the country as Erdogan, a moderate Islamist who has retained power through the ballot box. Critics, though, spy a creeping authoritarianism in Erdogan’s rule and some point to a parallel Islamization of Turkish society.”

How could the Washington Post have any wisdom or even basic intelligence to state that Erdogan is a “moderate Islamist” yet has “creeping authoritarianism” by his “Islamization of Turkish society”? How could someone be “moderate” and “authoritarian” or “moderate” and “Islamist” all at the same time? These are obvious oxymorons which shows that so-called ‘experts’ while they have smarts, they are void of an ounce of wisdom. When it comes to the Middle East, God is the only true expert in which the world avoids as if Jesus was plagued with leprosy. But such is the state of affairs, the world has gone mad and “moderate Islamist” comes and “by peace he will deceive many” and Turkey with the aid of Obama pulling U.S. troops out of the region aids in Turkey’s expansion.

Afghanistan

The U.S. failed in all its plans. Over the last 35 years, Afghanistan has witnessed numerous tragic phases, the Soviet invasion which the U.S. thwarted by aiding the Mujahideen, to then enter into a civil war which ended up creating the Taliban-led administration and then the US-led NATO operations tried to dismantle what it aided in the first place, the Mujahideen.

America’s failure of course brought in a bond between Turkey and Afghanistan which has grown stronger with time and has a deep meaning which leads back to the time of Turkey’s war of independence. It was Afghanistan which first recognized the new Ankara government. Turning pages of history of these two countries refreshes the memory of the first agreement which was formed in the 1920s. Apart from foreign aid that the two countries provide to each other, the most important factor that binds them is socio-cultural and religious similarities. In the post-2014 era, Turkey will become one of the framework nations to serve Afghanistan with the beginning of the resolute support of NATO and the end of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission. The new responsibility of Turkey recognised by NATO can be seen with Ambassador Ismail Aramaz’s appointment as the new NATO SCR. This appointment shows Turkey’s commitment to support Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is being handed over by the West to Turkey on a silver platter undermining the American blood which was shed to save this country from the Taliban. Although Turkey plays a unique role of non-combat force in Afghanistan after the end of 13-year NATO combat mission, Turkish armed forces is taking over the control of Hamid Karzai International Airport of Kabul from the French forces. They will now undertake the responsibilities for providing air services, training of technical staff and equipping of the airfield, as French forces gave them the handover.

And here is how it works in the case of Afghanistan. The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) provide enhancement of visits between Afghanistan and Turkey and they also form the fundamental basis of Turkey’s increasing role and efficiency. Turkey’s contributions in Afghanistan in the framework of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) are not only highly appreciated by Afghanistan, the US and NATO but also by the international community. Now the Turkish Armed Forces under the Neo-Ottoman has taken over ISAF’s Kabul Regional Command yet increasing and catapulting Turkey’s influence in the entire region extending to nuclear Pakistan.

Islamic terrorism (playing the bad-cop) does a great service in which it provides a necessity for security in which Turkey (playing the good cop) will step in as a formidable force as the guardian to the Muslim world. The good-cop vs. bad-cop is why Turkey also looks the other way when it comes to ISIS, Turkey’s pimp in the region.

The respectability and importance of Turkish Armed Forces in Afghanistan illustrates the fact that the NATO forces hoisted the Turkish flag on their convoys while launching an operation and returning from it in order not to be attacked although it is forbidden. (Eksi, 2010, p. 146, 147).

By all this, Turkey is already settling in Afghanistan and Pakistan, courtesy of President Obama.

Egypt

Currently Turkey has its eye on Egypt and is currently pumping billions to bribe citizens to support and vote for the Muslim Brotherhood, the father of the Islamists. Turkey will continue to pump its efforts to support all the bad-cops, especially the Muslim Brotherhood in the region which is the main conflict currently between Turkey and Egypt. Since the removal of Egypt’s first elected leader — former President Mohammed Morsi — from power in June 2013 by Sisi, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been one of the strongest critics of the new regime, saying that it has no legitimacy. Erdoğan’s decision to take sides with Morsi, a member of the MB — which is considered a terrorist organization by Egypt and Saudi Arabia is key in understanding both prophecy and intent, Turkey’s Islamist expansionism is not ending soon and the Brotherhood is coming back to roost in Egypt.

Turkey is closely working with the Muslim Brotherhood to redefine the borders of the Muslim world. In August last year, the Chairman of the International Union for Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi whose union represents the largest body of Muslim scholars worldwide and on their behalf just announced in Turkey that:

“The Caliphate in today’s age must be established through a number of several states that are governed by Shariah and supported by both, the rulers and the people in the form of a federation or confederation and not as it was in the past.”

No Caliphate, ISIS or others, can get a foothold without first obtaining approval by the Muslim union of scholars lead by Qaradawi who by this declaration is setting up the theological precedence by announcing that a future confederacy of Muslim nations must and will be established and centered in the land of the Muslim Caliphate in Turkey.

In an interview with TV Turkia Qaradawi declared that:

“We came to Turkey to assess the Fourth Assembly of the Union of Muslim Scholars in Istanbul, capital of the Islamic Caliphate!”

Qaradawi added that:

“Turkey is the Caliphate State, and Istanbul is its capital … Turkey unites religion and the world, Arab (Wahhabist Sunnis) and Persian (Shiites), Asia and Africa, and it (the Caliphate) should be based upon this nation (Turkey)”.

Libya

While all eyes are on ISIS, folks need to stop and think what is happening in Libya. The ship was caught sending weapons to Misrata the stronghold of the Fajr (The Dawn) the most powerful alliance of terrorist groups which is an Islamist coalition of several terrorist groups which controls Libya’s third city Misrata, while much of second city Benghazi is also in the hands of Fajr. Fajr is Islamist and is linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and jihadist movements in the east and their allies in Misrata. Fajr bolsters political Islam in the region. Libya is the Islamists’ last haven for political and military activity, after Brotherhood rule collapsed in Egypt and the Ennahda party handed over power in Tunisia. Turkey is helping to arm Fajr Libya, or Libya Dawn, which seized control of the capital Tripoli last year.

It was Qatar and Turkey that had their way with the Islamist domination of the General National Congress that was elected in July 2012, after successfully turning their minority into a majority. Turkey installed “independent” MPs who were actually supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood which helped the Islamists dominate the country under the command of Abdelhakim Belhadj, who was a former LIFG leader who led militias consisted of Islamic terrorists who returned from Afghanistan, and are very close to Qatar and Turkey.

Saudi Arabia, the harlot mother of all Muslim terror groups could not tolerate the Muslim Brotherhood, now its archenemy to control an oil-rich country like Libya, so it decided to supply the Zintan Brigades, which sporadically controlled Tripoli International Airport, with weapons and money. But the Islamists are the most numerous and best organized and the Zintan Brigades will not be able to withstand the Islamists for long. This will set the stage for a cakewalk when Turkey enters Libya.

Ethiopia/Somalia

Erdoğan will begin with visits to Ethiopia, Tanzania and Somalia as part of his trip to 12 African countries. Erdoğan first visited Somalia in 2011 as prime minister. Turkey is fast becoming an ally – and international actor – in Somalia’s theater.

According to recent Turkish media reports quoting sources from the president’s office, Erdoğan will also meet with Iranian government officials in Tehran in January.  Last month, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, to discuss Turkish-Iranian relations and recent developments in Syria and Iraq. The foreign ministers spoke at a press conference in Tehran, emphasizing the two nations’ common view of the steps necessary to resolve the crises in Syria and Iraq.

The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been designated a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates, today included in its “American Muslim News Briefs” mailing an item entitled “CAIR Asks Fox News to Drop Islamophobes.” Most of it was made up of the usual smears, lies and distortions that Hamas-linked CAIR pumps out by the gallon. It also contained this:

“Fox News’ continued use of Islamophobes, such Steven Emerson and many others like him, only serves to harm the network’s reputation and to promote hostility toward Islam and ordinary American Muslims,” said CAIR Department to Monitor and Combat Islamophobia Director Corey Saylor.
He said Fox News continues to utilize the nation’s most notorious Islamophobes and Islamophobia enablers — like Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Brigitte Gabriel, and Zuhdi Jasser — as regular commentators on issues related to Islam and Muslims.

So Hamas-linked CAIR wants Fox not to feature Emerson, Geller, Hirsi Ali, Gabriel, Jasser or me — just five days after claiming, in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo jihad massacre, that it supported the freedom of speech. I wrote at that time: “Hamas-linked CAIR is an inveterate and committed enemy of the freedom of speech, tarring and smearing anyone and everyone who dares to utter a critical word about jihad terror as a ‘racist,’ ‘bigoted’ ‘Islamophobe’ and doing everything it can to make sure that such critics are denied platforms to speak and shunned by all decent people.” This new attempt to strong-arm Fox into dropping virtually every one of us who speaks the truth about the jihad threat just confirms that assessment.

And consider this: Hamas-linked CAIR operatives have the ear of government, law enforcement, and media. Nihad Awad or Ibrahim “Honest Ibe” Hooper can pick up the phone and get a story into any major newspaper, spun just the way they want it, on demand. They’re the go-to people for every mainstream media reporter who wants a quote from a “moderate” Muslim, and they’re regularly featured on TV shows on all the major networks. And yet they’re deathly afraid of six people appearing occasionally on one network. Now, why is that? The answer is obvious: Hamas-linked CAIR is dedicated to spreading a thick fog of disinformation about the jihad threat, so as to render Americans ignorant and complacent about that threat. The people they excoriate as “Islamophobes” clear away that fog. Even though they have much more money and much greater access than we will ever have, they know we have one weapon they cannot defeat: the truth. And so they’re desperate to silence us.

Obama Future Islam By AFP. This week’s three million copies of Charlie Hebdo, the first post-attack issue of the French satirical weekly, will defiantly feature caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed, its lawyer said Monday.

Charlie Hebdo’s lawyer, Richard Malka, told French radio the upcoming publication will “obviously” lampoon Mohammed — among other figures — to show staff will “cede nothing” to extremists seeking to silence them.

Hundreds of Millions of Muslims Want to Kill You for Defiling Mohammed

As an Evangelical conservative, I can’t say that a militant, condescending atheist like Bill Maher is my favorite comedian or my favorite pundit, but when a man’s right, he’s right. His statement last week that “Hundreds of millions of them support an attack like this. They applaud an attack like this. What they say is, ‘We don’t approve of violence, but you know what? When you make fun of the Prophet, all bets are off” is supported by real data.

Extrapolating from polling numbers, hundreds of millions of Muslims do, in fact, support the death penalty for blasphemy against Mohammed. Hundreds of millions do support the death sentence for “apostasy” — converting from Islam. It’s even true that in the recent past, hundreds of millions expressed approval for Osama bin Laden.

Regarding blasphemy and apostasy, here’s the Washington Post describing startling findings in a comprehensive Pew Research Center report on Muslim beliefs and attitudes:

In fact, according to the 2013 Pew Research Center report, 88 percent of Muslims in Egypt and 62 percent of Muslims in Pakistan favor the death penalty for people who leave the Muslim religion. This is also the majority view among Muslims in Malaysia, Jordan and the Palestinian territories.

Do the math. From these countries alone, there are more than 200 million Muslims who support capital punishment for basic free speech and freedom of conscience. (Read more from this story HERE)

What Terrorism? Kerry Still Obsessing Over ‘Climate Change’

It wasn’t enough for State Secretary John Kerry to miss a gathering of world leaders in Paris, France, over the weekend following last week’s jihadi attacks. Instead, Kerry wasted his breath spewing more nonsense on a phenomena that demands far less attention. “I am convinced … there is one enormous cloud hanging over all of us which requires responsibility from leaders,” Kerry bemoaned during a speech in Gujarat, India. And what is that cloud? Not Islamic terrorism, according to Kerry: “Global climate change is already violently affecting communities not just across India but around the world. It is disrupting commerce, development and economic growth. It’s costing farmers crops. It’s costing insurance companies unbelievable payouts. It’s raising the cost of doing business, and believe me, if it continues down the current trend-line, we will see climate refugees fighting each other for water and seeking food and new opportunity.” Let’s assume for argument’s sake climate change demands immediate attention. ISIL Hijacks CENTCOM’s Social Media

A group by the name of CyberCaliphate, a hacking group waging cyber jihad against the West and says it’s aligned with ISIL, claimed responsibility for taking control of the Twitter and YouTube accounts of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Monday. For the 40 minutes they had control, CyberCaliphate posted the flag of ISIL, threatened U.S. soldiers and posted non-classified documents containing the names and addresses of senior military leaders. “CENTCOM’s operation military networks were not compromised and there was no operational impact to U.S. Central Command,” the military said in a statement. “CENTCOM will restore service to its Twitter and YouTube accounts as quickly as possible. We are viewing this purely as a case of cybervandalism.” Compared to hacking military servers, gaining control of a social media account is child’s play. But this hack is not just a prank. The lifeblood of ISIL’s social media strategy is spectacle. While this isn’t as shocking as a beheading, this is a victory for ISIL in thepropaganda war. More…

UVA Frat Cleared of Rape Charge

The fraternity accused of gang rape in the grossly irresponsible fable Rolling Stone published in December has been cleared by the Charlottesville Police Department of wrongdoing and has been reinstated by the University of Virginia. It seems the fraternity will do anything to get out of the spotlight. In a statement released by the university, the president of UVA’s Phi Kappa Psi chapter, Stephen Scipione, said the fraternity is working with the university to help enact new measures to prevent what never happened at the fraternity to begin with. “In today’s 24-hour news cycle, we must guard against a rush to judgment as we often don’t have all of the facts in front of us,” he said, adding, “We believe that in the midst of this ordeal, there is an opportunity to move forward with important safety improvements. This has prompted us to take a closer look at ourselves and what role organizations like ours may play in this problem.” There you have it. A group of young men were nationally labeled as rapists, but as the police proved their innocence the leftist university president sees the group as champions for her new anti-rape rules. New DC Mayor: I Hate Guns

Forget taxation without representation – for years, some residents of the District of Columbia have fought for the basic right to keep and bear arms. Former Mayor Vincent Gray long stonewalled against that basic right. Now, just as the courts have ordered the District to allow its citizens access to handguns, the new mayor has vowed to be as bad as or even worse than her predecessor. In her first week as mayor, Muriel Bower told a gathering at a District church, “You have a mayor who hates guns. If it was up to me, we wouldn’t have any handguns in the District of Columbia. I swear to protect the Constitution and what the courts say, but I will do it in the most restrictive way as possible.” According to The Washington Post, the mayor has bungled the city’s response to a snowstorm and went back on her word that DC would look to host the 2024 Olympics. Income Redistribution Gets New Packaging

If you thought Democrats were going to change their class warfare strategy after being resoundingly rejected at the polls in November, think again. On Monday, Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), ranking member of the House Budget Committee, announced a proposal to address what leftists believe is the root cause of America’s economic malaise – income inequality.

The proposal, billed by The Washington Post as a “stark shift in messaging,” is an attempt to redistribute wealth from the rich to the middle class. Just how this represents a shift from previous leftist attempts to rewrite the laws of economics is unclear, but the details sound familiar enough.

The first step of Van Hollen’s proposal is a paycheck bonus tax credit worth $1,000 to individuals earning less than $100,000 and worth $2,000 for couples earning less than $200,000. This is a significant jump from Barack Obama’s “Make Work Pay” tax credit from the 2009 stimulus, which paid out $400 per worker.

Other elements of the proposal include raising the child care tax credit from $3,000 per person to $8,000, or $16,000 per couple. Workers who put away at least $500 per year toward retirement or other savings would receive an additional $250 saver’s bonus. There are also provisions to reduce marriage penalties for the working poor.

Democrats estimate these tax credits will “cost” the government more than $1 trillion over a decade, and, since they can never merely cut taxes for its own sake, Van Hollen plans to “pay for it” through a series of new fees and regulations aimed at the so-called one-percenters. Things like a new fee on high-dollar financial transactions, a 0.1% fee on stock trades and an end to a series of tax incentives on investments are just the beginning. Van Hollen’s plan would give the government the power to force employers to increase pay by prohibiting deductions for companies that offer executive performance benefits greater than $1 million. Companies would only be able to claim the deduction if workers' wages were increased by 4%, which is estimated to be the rate of inflation and productivity growth.

Voters didn’t buy Democrats' income inequality rhetoric in 2014, preferring to see economic growth rather than wage parity. And with a Republican-controlled Congress, this plan stands virtually zero chance of passing. So why bother?

Prepping for 2016, that’s why.

Democrats are hoping that this latest attempt to reframe income inequality as hindering economic growth will lay the groundwork for a theme sure to be central to Hillary Clinton’s (or Elizabeth Warren’s) presidential campaign: economic “fairness.” Class warfare is what Democrats know best, and since their fortunes in many other policy areas are falling they will likely focus their energies here.

“This is a plan to help tackle the challenge of our times,” Van Hollen told reporters Monday. “We want a growing economy that works for all Americans, not just the wealthy few.”

One problem is the assumption that economic growth is driven by consumer spending rather than investment. Respected economists say this is a backwards view. Investment is the seed of long-term growth. Capital invested in businesses leads to more production, which leads to hiring, which leads to wage growth, and then comes consumer spending.

James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute explains leftists' unified theory of our economic state of affairs: “To be ‘pro-growth’ in their view doesn’t mean to raise America’s growth potential through investment and ideas – that might require, for instance, lowering the business tax burden – but instead through redistribution and spending.”

Seeing the world as they do, Democrats always double down on an incorrect and disproven view of economics. Instead, they will try to convince voters that they have a solution, dividing along class lines as they go.

The Next Big Lie: ‘Free’ Community College

The community organizer in chief has a plan to offer “free” community college. It’s a terrible idea and one that, as withevery other federal program, isn’t free at all.

While the idea of “free” higher education may sound appealing to high school graduates, taxpayers will be on the hook for an almost surely underestimated $60 billion over 10 years. According to The Hill, “[T]he federal government would pay three quarters of tuition for students enrolled at least half-time who maintain a 2.5 GPA. States would be required to chip in the remainder of the cost – an additional $20 billion over the next 10 years. Full-time students would save an average of $3,800 per year.”

Barack Obama, while ~~speaking~~ lecturing at a community college in Knoxville, Tennessee – which is funded by the state’s lottery – tried to frame the issue as being fundamentally American and urged both parties to come together. He quipped, “If a state with Republican leadership is doing this, and a city with Democratic leadership is doing it, how about we all do it?” A better question is that if a state or a city is doing this, and it’s working (a debatable assertion), then why does this president want to ruin it by nationalizing it?

Has the former constitutional professor never heard of federalism?

According to The Wall Street Journal, Obama’s latest entitlement proposal “comes under the pretext of improving America’s workforce.” Given the federal government’s horrible track record of involvement in K-12 education, will two more years of free taxpayer-funded education really improve the workforce? And why not free four-year degrees from prestigious universities? Moreover, how would the requirement for a minimum grade point average of 2.5 lead to an improved workforce? Last we checked, that GPA wasn’t exactly stellar. Perhaps he means to supply more workers, but in his stagnant economy jobs still aren’t plentiful.

The Obama proposal will require community colleges to meet certain standards. The Journal notes, “To be eligible, community colleges would have to offer academic credits that transfer to four-year colleges or occupational programs that produce high graduation rates and degrees in demand by employers.” Further, colleges will also be required to “adopt promising and evidence-based institutional reforms to improve student outcomes,” such as paying for books and transit costs.

On the surface, the eligibility requirements for both student and school may look like sound policy. But what happens if a student or community college becomes ineligible? As National Review’s Charles C. W. Cooke asserts, “Does anybody believe for a single second that the federal government would kick anybody off of this program?”

Given that the federal government in general has a dismal record of enforcing rules, and with this president specifically refusing to uphold existing laws (immigration, Defense of Marriage Act, etc.) or changing laws when he sees fit (ObamaCare, etc.), are we to believe that this proposal will be any different? Besides, what heartless and uncaring soul would dare deny anyone the opportunity to go to college?

Rest assured this idea of “free” community college will be a partisan issue as Obama and his educrats paint the GOP as being the party of oppression. But Obama’s proposal runs contrary to the principles of Liberty.

He firmly believes that taxing some Americans to redistribute that wealth to other Americans will benefit the entire nation. And he argues that giving everyone the equal opportunity to go to community college will result in an equal outcome. All for an issue on which the Constitutiongrants no authority to the federal government.

When higher education is paid for by the individual, or help from family, there is an inherent value placed on getting that education. Yes, it can be expensive. But with the numerous avenues for financial aid, it is very feasible for most Americans who want to go to college to do so.

This proposal needs to be left in the hands of each sovereign state, not dictated by an overreaching federal government. No doubt it’s just part of Obama’s agenda to continue fundamentally transforming the nation, and Congress would be wise to not even consider it.

Reversing the prophetic decline of America

America has been my homeland and home to my family for nearly 400 years, half that time at the same farm in Ohio. It has been personally difficult to watch the decline of this country from a God-fearing, neighborly, common sense, moral and ethical society to one that is careless, immoral, nonsensical, and God-less. While this decline began decades ago, and some would argue that the nation never was right (I don't agree), the acceleration of this slide has been astronomical since the occupant of the Oval Office usurped the Constitution and gained control amid a general population that chose color over character. Our prophetic destiny may have been forever altered.

America's leadership, which, quite frankly, is a direct result of the voters, has routinely stepped across the line into darkness. This "president" has used our patriotic soldiers to assist in establishing a shadow imperialist Islamic Marxist caliphate. It is amazing just how quickly a nation turns based on one aggressive leader with many minions in place. The remarks of California Senator Diane Feinstein about domestic terrorism were very telling. She said, "I think there are sleeper cells not only in France, but certainly in other countries and, yes, in our own. This calls for vigilance...Hopefully, we can be more active in terms of doing those things which enable us to find terrorists, see who they're communicating with and to track that."

Overall, that statement sounds good--that we need to be vigilant to identify terrorists. That, however, is not what she said. She said that the government should be more active in finding terrorists, see what they are communicating, and track them. That means increased spying on American citizens. That means that those who consider religious freedom a right, those who believe the Constitution when it says the right to bear arms "shall not be infringed," and that our right to be secure in our persons and personal effects "shall not be violated," are enemies to the government's philosophy. Even more troubling is that the government sees law abiding Christians more a threat than Islamists whose very holy book espouses the overthrow of nations that do not submit to Islam.

This is what happens when citizens of a free nation focus on the material things of life, on their so-called rights of equality, on what's in it for them, rather than putting God first. Leadership, social mores, natural affection and rightness with God fall hard and bring the nation into a miry pit. It is the prophetic destiny of those who turn their back on the Lord, a nation that returns to the bondage of sin. As Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage." The founders of America came out of the very type of persecution they sought to put away in a new nation. Now, we face it again at the hands of an overreaching government. Have we returned to the vomit? We must reverse this prophetic decline by being the light we are called to be.

Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) told Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday that only 4 more votes are needed in order to override the veto on the Keystone XL pipeline that the Obama administration has promised.

He said this about the current vote count and what they’re doing about it:

“Right now we’ve got about 63, but we’re going to the floor with an open amendment process trying to foster more bipartisanship, getting the Senate to work the way it’s supposed to work so that we can pass this measure and other measures and either override the veto or attach the bill to other legislation either that will get 67 votes.”
Obviously, there is no question that it will pass, just as it did in the House — with 28 Democrat votes in support of the measure — on Friday.

Joe Manchin (D-WV) is a the co-sponsor of the bill and would be the frontman on any Democrat-corraling efforts. New Majority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has said that it’s passage will be the first order of business for the Senate. (Read more from this story HERE)

By Steven Ertelt. Republicans in the House of Representatives will hold a vote on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade late this month on a marquee bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy because unborn children feel intense pain in abortions.

Top Republicans and leading pro-life groups have been promoting the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act that bans abortions from after 20-weeks of pregnancy up to the day of birth.

Politico has more about the upcoming vote on the bill on January 22, the anniversary of the infamous abortion decision Roe v. Wade that ushered in an era of legalized abortions with little or no limits. (Read more about the bill to ban abortion after 20 weeks HERE)

Abortionist Approves a 10 Year Old Girl’s Abortion, gets Medical License Revoked

Abortionis Nehaus By Kathy Ostrowski. Late Friday, the Kansas Board of Healing Arts issued a final order of license revocation for abortionist Kris Neuhaus, calling her “incapable of successful rehabilitation.” Kansans for Life applauds the resolve of the Board in protecting the public from her.

Neuhaus’ license had been revoked in 2012 for her failure to follow both standard of care and record-keeping protocols when providing the legally-required “second independent medical opinion ” that enabled 11 girls, aged 10-18, in 2003 to obtain third-trimester abortions at the Wichita abortion clinic of George Tiller.

Neuhaus challenged that revocation in state district court. While upholding the Board’s findings that Neuhaus repeatedly failed to document patient histories properly, Judge Franklin Theis vacated the standard of care charge and sent the matter back to the Board for a “do-over.” on Dec. 11. Politico A senior Democratic aide said Rep. André Carson of Indiana would be named in the “coming days” to the key national security-focused panel. The California Democrat told lawmakers of the appointment during the members’ weekly caucus meeting.

The intelligence committee will most likely tackle a series of high-profile international crises during the 114th Congress, including the threat of Islamic militants and Ukraine. Carson’s office didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

The announcement comes in the wake of a terrorist attack in Paris by Islamic extremists that left 12 people dead. World leaders gathered on Sunday for a 1 million person “solidarity” protest against the violence that targeted French Jews and journalists.
