During this trip, I visited the campaign headquarters of Abdul El-Sayed in Detroit, Michigan, as well as the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan. What I uncovered on the ground underscores the urgency of our mission at America’s Survival, Inc.

Since our founding, we have been opposed to global Islam and international communism. That is why we were targeted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Southern Poverty Law Center, and then deplatformed by Google’s YouTube under the Biden regime. I was literally “escorted” out of a Workers World Party conference in New York City.

If elected in November 2026, Abdul El-Sayed would become the first Muslim member ever to serve in the U.S. Senate. His political campaign, centered at his Detroit HQ, is heavily backed by radical far-left politicians and national organizations:

• U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, Vice President Kamala Harris, U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Hon. Andy Levin, Hon. David Bonior, United Auto Workers, Michigan AFL-CIO, Michigan Education Association, AFT Michigan, National Nurses United, Working Families Party, MoveOn, Indivisible, and over 300 other elected officials and organizations.

This alliance between radical leftist politics and Islamic political agendas is not accidental—it represents a deliberate convergence of interests aimed at reshaping American governance.

The connection between communist networks and radical Islam goes back over a century.

• Lenin’s Initial Strategy: As early as December 1917, Vladimir Lenin addressed his second post-revolution message to the “Toiling Muslims of Russia and East,” viewing them as a vital reservoir for the world communist revolution.
• KGB Connections: As documented in our America’s Survival, Inc. publication, Made in Moscow Terrorism: Communists and Muslims: The Hidden Hand of the KGB by former KGB officer Konstantin Preobrazhensky, Soviet intelligence deliberately cultivated ties across the Islamic world.

Today, we see this coalition playing out locally in places like Dearborn, Michigan—where local authorities have faced lawsuits over First Amendment violations, spending municipal funds to promote religious displays while targeting Christian citizens and ministers exercising their constitutional rights.

During my visit I encountered many friendly Muslims. I purchased a copy of the Quran at a local gift shop and the female clerk outfitted in a hijab was happy to share information about the “Twelvers.”

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani identifies as a Shia Muslim associated with the “Twelver” movement of apocalyptic Muslims that constitute the state religion of Iran.

Inside the mosque, I was alarmed to see a picture on a wall of Ayatollah Khomeini on a 1982 Time cover story about “Iran on the March.”

It is noteworthy that, shortly after his successor, the Ayatollah Khamenei’s death during the U.S.-Iran conflict, candidate Abdul El-Sayed said there were “a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad.”

The first Ayatollah, Khomeini, had said in 1979 after taking power in Iran, “We are in a war situation, an economic war which is in itself a struggle between Islam and blasphemy.” Those comments were featured in a Washington Post story headlined, “Khomeini Sees Possibility of War with U.S.”

It has come to pass.

In Iran, Trump has acted to save Western civilization from a Nazi-style regime in religious garb pursuing nuclear weapons that could kill millions of Americans. The war on the Islamic Republic of Iran constitutes justice on behalf of the victims of Iran, including the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine Barracks in Lebanon which killed 241 American military personnel, at least 600 American soldiers murdered in the Middle East and nearly 900 wounded.

But many have turned on Trump, mostly because of high gas prices.

By contrast, as demonstrated in numerous exhibits at the World War II American Experience Museum in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, the American people in that World War rallied as they encountered gas and food rationing, built victory gardens, and gathered up scrap metal for the war effort. Americans learned to ration foods like sugar, coffee, cheese, and meats. A “victory speed limit” of 35 miles an hour was established to conserve gasoline and rubber tires. Toy companies were converted to making war material.

The United States suffered approximately 1,078,594 total military casualties during World War II, which lasted six years: 407,316 total U.S military deaths and wounded in action estimated at 671,278. By contrast, the Iran War, (Operation Epic Fury), which began on February 28, 2026, by September 20 had resulted in 18 deaths and 820 to 830 + U.S. service members officially reported wounded.

President Trump inherited a Russian war on Ukraine, a Taliban terrorist takeover of Afghanistan, Iranian progress toward nuclear weapons, and Red Chinese threats against the Republic of China on Taiwan, while security experts warned there were “sleeper cells” of foreign fighters inside the U.S., and that the number could be in the tens of thousands, or more.

Headlines over the last few days, regarding an attempted Jihadist suicide mission using an airplane, and an Iranian-sponsored plot targeting a U.S. military base in Britain, demonstrate that the Iranian war against America and Israel has escalated.

But they are desperate for a victory at the ballot box in November. The Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has gone so far as to issue a letter to the American people, specifically scholars, students, and journalists, demanding a vote against President Trump and the Republicans.

Whose side are you on?

Will Democrats reject Iran’s endorsement? Tehran's open letter implausibly claims it's winning the war!-Posted on The Washington Times-By Editorial Board, The Washington Times-On October 1, 2026:

One fitting response to Iran’s unseemly and interminable 26-page open letter Tuesday to the American people, calling on them to vote for Democrats in November, would be to paraphrase Queen Gertrude in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”

Gertrude’s response to the insincere overacting of one of the characters in a play within the play: “Thou dost protest too much, methinks.”

Tehran’s lengthy and implausibly decorous letter has the stench of a desperate about-face to it, coming as it does from a regime that for the past 47 years has chanted “Death to America.”

It is not at all clear who exactly among the American electorate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps thinks will actually read the letter in its entirety, much less be persuaded by it to vote against President Trump’s congressional Republican allies, in Tehran’s hopes of preserving its Islamist theocratic dictatorship.

The English-language version of Iran’s “Open Letter to the Honorable People of the United States of America” calls on Americans to vote for Democrats in November and to give up fighting the mullahs because the fight has, for all practical purposes, already been lost.

“Now, nearly seven months into this unjust war, the U.S. military — the largest and costliest military in the history of the world — has scored no wins,” the letter asserts.

“Although American politicians often win your votes through deception and false promises, as Mr. Trump did, you can change the makeup of the government,” Tehran further states. “Remove from power the evil, deceitful, and violent politicians who are responsible for America’s current state.”

If that is the sort of claptrap the English-language version is peddling, there is no telling what Tehran is saying in a Farsi or Arabic version.

With Iran’s navy and air force decimated (literally and figuratively) and unable to export its oil, the regime’s only real source of income to prop it up, because of a U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran is, from all indications, teetering on the brink of economic collapse.

As such, the open letter is little more than a Hail Mary — or, in this case, Hail Allah — pass.

After all, the likes of far-left influencer Hasan “America deserved 9/11” Piker and his radical ilk hardly need to be persuaded that the mullahs and ayatollahs are on the side of the angels and the Trump administration is the devil.

It is also somewhat akin to preaching to the choir when, disturbingly, there are Democrats in the House and in the Senate who have pejoratively described Mr. Trump’s bid to denuclearize and defang the fanatical Iranian regime as a “war of choice.” They include House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York and various other House Democrats, as well as at least a dozen far-left senators.

Disgracefully, Democrats afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome have gone so far as to declare the war has already been lost and agree that Iran has won, evidence to the contrary notwithstanding. (That is shamefully reminiscent of how the pro-communist left in America gave aid and comfort to Hanoi in the 1970s, which only prolonged the Vietnam War. It is Democrat deja vu all over again.)

It is unclear, however, how much impact the IRGC’s massive missive will have. Even if Democrats win congressional majorities in January, Mr. Trump will remain president and commander in chief for two more years. It is doubtful that Iran can hold out until January 2029, when it hopes a weak-kneed Democrat might move into the White House.

Unlike the yearslong “Russia, Russia, Russia” election interference hoax perpetrated by Democrats against Mr. Trump in the 2016 and 2020 election cycles, Iran is openly, albeit ham-handedly, attempting to influence the outcome of the 2026 elections.

It is the equivalent of a political endorsement from Lizzie Borden in a burqa or Ted “the Unabomber” Kaczynski, and it will be interesting to watch how all this plays out over the remaining four-plus weeks of the midterm campaign season.

Although no Democrats running for the House or Senate — not even Muslim radicals such as Rep. Rashida Tlaib or Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, both of Michigan — are likely to openly welcome, much less tout, Tehran’s partisan endorsement, how loudly will they repudiate it and how far will they distance themselves from it?

Just as tellingly, will Republicans (and their overpaid and underachieving consultants) make full political hay of this unexpected gift they have been handed? Stay tuned.

Trump weighs more strikes against Iran after midterms; Britain makes arrest in suspected terror plot!-Posted on The Washington Times-By Vaughn Cockayne, The Washington Times-On October 1, 2026:

President Trump said Thursday that the U.S. military could resume full-scale strikes against targets in Iran after the November midterm elections, as British authorities arrested a British Iranian national in a suspected terror plot near a military base in southwest England over the weekend.

Mr. Trump told Time magazine it’s “possible” that U.S. strikes against Iran could resume after next month’s elections if the two sides can’t reach a peace deal. He also indicated that the U.S. has replenished its supply of advanced weapons over the past few months.

“We’re stocking up at levels we’ve never done before,” Mr. Trump said in an interview published Thursday, but he declined to comment on which targets U.S. forces would hit in a new campaign.

“I have to put out the fire in the Islamic Republic,” Mr. Trump said. “Let nut jobs have nuclear weapons, you’ll see some real problems. I had no choice. I’d do it again today.”

His comments come after diplomacy between Tehran and Washington restarted after the United Nations General Assembly last week. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country delivered a proposal that would have instituted a ceasefire and reopened the Strait of Hormuz after seven days.

Mr. Trump rejected that proposal, insisting it did not offer enough.

Administration officials have remained publicly confident that the U.S. military’s efforts to guide ships through the strait have reduced Iran’s leverage during negotiations. Mr. Trump has implied that nothing short of an Iranian promise to never pursue a nuclear program will get the U.S. to lift its naval blockade.

Iran has indicated it would respond forcefully to U.S. military strikes on its territory and has suggested that regional energy infrastructure would be a target.

Earlier this week, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s parliamentary speaker, said that if his country is unable to sell its oil, then no one in the region will, adding that “no infrastructure will be safe.”

Brig. Gen. Hossein Mohebbi, spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said last month that Iran’s counterattack to any U.S. military strikes would introduce new weapons and targets.

During the early stages of the war, Iran targeted U.S. military installations across the Middle East and launched drones and missiles at energy infrastructure in the Persian Gulf. Iran’s allies in Iraq and Yemen have also dealt significant damage to energy infrastructure in the region.

News of a possible uptick in fighting comes as British authorities investigate Iran’s possible involvement in an alleged terror plot at RAF Fairford over the weekend.

Counterterrorism officers on Thursday arrested a 27-year-old British Iranian national on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack in connection with the incident at RAF Fairford. The suspect was arrested in central London, and police searched two properties in the area.

The arrest comes just days after authorities arrested five British nationals outside of RAF Fairford on Sunday. The men were arrested after locals near the base noticed several men get out of large vans wearing masks.

Police found an accelerant, gasoline, in the vans but did not find any explosives.

The suspects were released Monday on bail, outraging and confusing some U.S. officials. British law enforcement officials have asserted that the investigation remains ongoing and that the released suspects would remain under surveillance.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham told the BBC on Wednesday that his government has “strong indications” that Iran played a part in Sunday’s incident.

Iranian officials have said during the course of the war with the U.S. that any base, either in the Middle East or beyond, that hosts U.S. forces is a legitimate target for attacks. The RAF Fairford base has hosted long-range U.S. bombers used during the U.S.-Israeli war.

Iran has firmly denied any involvement in planning an alleged terror attack at RAF Fairford. Mr. Araghchi said Wednesday that the fact that British authorities released the terror suspects on bail “says it all.”

“You’re barking up the wrong tree,” the Iranian foreign minister posted on X.

LONDON — Police on Thursday arrested a dual British-Iranian national on suspicion of plotting a terror attack following a security incident at a U.S.-run military air base in England that British authorities have linked to Tehran.

The 27-year-old man was arrested in London on Thursday, and police have searched two properties in the British capital, Counter Terrorism Policing said in a statement.

A 26-year-old British national was interviewed by police “under caution,” which means the interview was recorded and can be used in future prosecutions.

On Sunday, five men, all British nationals in their 20s and from London, were arrested on suspicion of explosives and terror offenses close to the RAF Fairford air base, which has been used by American bombers to strike Iran. The suspects have since been released on bail.

Police say they found a quantity of an accelerant – gasoline – in three vans linked to the five suspects, but no explosives.

Vicki Evans, the senior national coordinator for counter terrorism policing, said the investigation “is hugely complex, and our specialist teams are interrogating multiple lines of inquiry.

“As we’ve made clear, we’re looking at all possible angles - including possible foreign state involvement,” she said.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has said Britain sees “strong indications” that Iran played a part in the incident. Iran denies involvement.

The base 100 miles (160 kilometers) west of London has been used by American bombers during decades of conflicts in the Middle East, including this year’s war with Iran.

Top U.S. officials have criticized the decision to grant five suspects bail, with President Donald Trump saying “I wouldn’t have done that” and Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying a lot of people were “disturbed” by the move.

Burnham said authorities have the investigation under “the strongest grip and the closest control,” and British officials had been “talking to counterparts in the United States all week to explain what is happening here, how things are being done.”

British officials say proxies linked to Iran have been behind a string of arsons and other attacks in Britain and other countries, many of them targeting the Jewish community and intended to sow fear. They have previously warned that Tehran could expand its targets in 
Britain if conflicts in the Middle East continue.
