Credit to the always savvy Mike Benz for calling attention to an incredible document issued in August 2020 by a deep state cabal calling itself the “Transition Integrity Project” (TIP). Launched in late 2019, TIP feigned bipartisanship but coalesced around the notion that “President Donald Trump has steadily undermined core norms of democracy and the rule of law and embraced numerous corrupt and authoritarian practices.”
Unmentioned in the document is the quiet Russiagate coup that collapsed with the release of the Mueller report months before TIP was launched. Only in a deep state uber-bubble could 100-plus “current and former senior government and campaign leaders” agree to overlook so evil an abuse and participate in an exercise that imagines Trump to be as ignorant as they are.
Participants included political strategists, journalists, polling experts, tech and social media experts, and former career officials from the intelligence community, the Justice Department, the military and the Department of Homeland Security. If the Deep State needed a poster girl. it could do no better than TIP co-founder Rosa Brooks. Named after German Marxist martyr Rosa Luxemburg, Brooks has worked in and around the Defense and State Departments since Obama came to power.

Since Brooks could not ask members of Team Biden or Team Trump to play themselves, she “did the next best thing,” recruiting participants with “similar backgrounds.” Here, the exercise descends into self-parody.
On Team Biden were people who might well have been on the real Team Biden—high profile Democratic hacks John Podesta and Donna Brazile and former Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm. On Team Trump were a sorry bunch of TDS-infected Quislings who, in real life, played on Team Biden—former RNC Chair Michael Steele, commentator Bill Kristol, and former Kentucky secretary of state Trey Grayson. Confirmation bias, anyone?
Speaking of John Podesta, the TIP crew imagined one scenario that included “spurious claims” linking key Democrats to “child sex trafficking.” That TIP would include this seemingly minor detail shows how blind its people are to their own vulnerabilities. Were she to read the coded language in the Podesta emails exposed by Wikileaks, even Rosa Brooks might not ever eat pizza again.
The TIP cabal imagined four potential outcomes to the 2020 election: ambiguous results, clear Biden victory, narrow Biden win, and clear Trump win. TIP predicted chaos for all these outcomes except for a clear Biden victory. In that case, concluded TIP, “Once it became clear that efforts to overturn that outcome were unlikely to succeed, the Trump Campaign pivoted to a strategy of self-preservation and limiting future legal liability.”
Most revealing is what TIP predicted in the light of a clear Trump win—in the electoral college, that is. The cabalists could not bring themselves to imagine Trump getting a majority of the popular votes. In this scenario, Biden retracts his election night concession speech and exploits “the public’s outrage that for the third time in 20 years a candidate lost the popular vote but won the Electoral College.”
Team Biden then shifts its focus to alleged GOP voter suppression and encourages three key states with Democratic governors to demand a recount. Governors in two of the three—Wisconsin and Michigan—send separate slates of electors to counter those sent by the state legislature.
The country soon finds itself “in the midst of a full-blown constitutional crisis,” one proudly generated by the Left despite the “clear Trump win.” The crisis involves political chaos, a poisonous media environment, and “sporadic actual violence in the streets.”
At the next stage, the Biden campaign encourages the three westernmost states to secede from the union unless the GOP agrees to end the electoral college and institute majority rule. Team Biden also demands statehood for DC and Puerto Rico and a maximum age of 70 for Supreme Court justices.
In one of its “most consequential moves,” on January 6 Team Biden provokes a “breakdown in the joint session of Congress by getting the House of Representatives to agree to award the presidency to Biden (based on the alternative pro-Biden submissions sent by pro-Biden governors).” The GOP refuses to yield, and January 20 arrives “without a single president elect entitled to be Commander-in-Chief after noon that day.”
As the TIP report makes clear, the cabalists seemed perfectly comfortable imagining actions for which Trump and his team were later chastised and punished. By June 2024, as is well enough known, dozens of Republican state officials and Trump associates would be indicted in four states for presenting alternate slates of electors.
Trump attorney John Eastman, who argued for the constitutionality of presenting alternate slates, was criminally indicted and recommended for disbarment. The State of Georgia indicted 19 Trump associates for calling attention to rampant election fraud and demanding a recount. The FBI meanwhile arrested some 1600 protestors for challenging what was absolutely not a “clear Biden victory.” and Tina Peters, 70, remains in prison for trying to prove the fraud that allowed Biden to pose as president for four years.
In 2020, alas, the cabalists prevailed. On Saturday, November 7, the TV networks all declared Joe Biden the president-elect. They came to this unanimous and simultaneous conclusion despite flagrant violations of state election law, the filing of numerous lawsuits documenting voter fraud, and growing demand for recounts in close swing states.
The Left’s shock troops got the word of “victory” even before the media did. The 400-plus sites the cabalists had set aside to protest a Trump win were reoriented toward a day of celebration. This day just happened to coincide with the day the networks called the election. In the world of TIP, celebrating, like rioting, was orchestrated.
Had Trump not won the popular vote in 2024, we can have no doubt but that those sites would have been used for their original purpose. In the run-up to 2026, they still may be.

In American civic life, disagreements between political factions are as old as the Republic. But until recently, one principle stood above the fray: despite the passions of the moment, the legitimacy of lawful authority was never up for partisan reinterpretation. Today, that restraint is eroding. Taken in toto, the message increasingly conveyed by national Democrats is that political disagreement is now a sufficient basis to ignore orders, sidestep laws, and defy institutional norms.
Democrats have willfully opened Pandora’s Box, creating a cascading crisis of legitimacy that challenges everything from local elections to the legitimacy of the commander-in-chief.
If you don’t like it, it isn’t legitimate — that’s the message. They have created the ultimate permission structure for emotional reasoning to override reality. In the style of the assassins Luigi Mangione and Tyler Robinson, it is permissible, laudable even, to murder Brian Thompson, an insurance company CEO, in cold blood because you don’t like his company’s policies or to assassinate Charlie Kirk because you don’t like his message.
For decades, the American Left has framed itself as the bulwark against any hint of military politicization. But when political advantage beckons, that commitment seems negotiable. The recent interventions by Democrat lawmakers on behalf of service members who may disagree with chain-of-command directives mark a watershed moment. Their message to the ranks could not be clearer: if you oppose the elected leadership’s politics — particularly when those leaders are Republicans — you have the tacit permission of one of the country’s major parties to resist enforcement of rules that have bound the U.S. military for centuries.
This is not ordinary dissent. It is an attempt to redefine obedience to lawful authority as conditional and partisan. The consequences for a disciplined military culture are profound. Armies do not function when troops are told that orders can be evaluated through ideological filters, or that disobedience is noble if it aligns with the political preferences of powerful patrons in Congress.
The rot extends beyond the Armed Forces. Across agencies, schools, bureaucracies, cultural institutions — and even our law enforcement and judiciary — we increasingly see a double standard in the enforcement of rules. Progressive leaders routinely signal that laws are binding only upon those who lack political favor. Immigration statutes, drug laws, public-order rules, and campus regulations are selectively applied or openly defied, and left-wing judges interfere in legitimate government functions and overturn legitimate jury verdicts. In each case, the logic is the same: Legitimacy flows not from the law but from ideological conformity. Compliance becomes optional; resistance becomes heroic.
This mindset inevitably produces institutional fragility. A nation cannot maintain coherence when entire constituencies are encouraged to believe they may disregard laws enacted by elected leaders whenever those laws fail an ideological purity test. Nor can democratic institutions survive when a major political party implicitly assures its allies that they will be protected from consequences so long as their disobedience advances the right narrative.
What makes this trend particularly corrosive is that it masquerades as a defense of democracy. Americans have always understood that we have the right to resist bad law. Dissent, we are told, is patriotic — an admirable sentiment, until it hardens into a doctrine that undermines the Rule of Law itself. True democratic stability requires more than elections; it requires a shared commitment to respect lawful authority even when political winds shift.
But bereft of power and facing a president they loathe, Democrats are simply inventing issues, creating hypotheticals, and making up straw men to fight.
The message now being broadcast is the reverse of how our constitutional, representative republic has functioned: that simple partisan disagreement is enough to justify nullification. Once that principle takes hold, society ceases to be governed by laws and begins to be governed by factions.
History shows where that path leads, and it is not toward a more stable republic.
Let’s be clear, when taken in toto, the message being sent by Democrats across institutions — and most emphatically by the Seditious Six to our military — is that political disagreement with elected leadership now entitles you to ignore lawful orders, disregard statutes, and reject any policy you find objectionable. It implies that open defiance of legitimate governmental authority is not only acceptable but justified.
That is, unmistakably, an invitation to insurrection.
And they know it.
They have decided that to save America, they must destroy it, and they seem hell bent on burning America to the ground to rule over the ashes.

As is often the case in these angry times, the political reaction to current events is more telling than the event itself. Last week, the consuming issue in broadcast and internet media was the Trump administration’s aggressive actions targeting “narco-terrorism” originating in South America, and subsequent revelations of what appeared to be a horrific “war crime” by U.S. forces in that campaign — the latter teasing the possibility of political demise of the oft-criticized secretary of war, along with a U.S. Navy vice-admiral and perhaps even the president himself.
Cooler heads are now prevailing, but the damage has been done: more political broadsides leveled in both directions, and further drip-drip erosion of trust in our political leadership.
The backdrop: why we’re in the Caribbean
There is growing — and long overdue — U.S. interest and attention to what’s going on in our own hemisphere, including government instability (notably, the Nicolás Maduro takeover in Venezuela), extensive poverty, endless numbers of migrants seeking better and safer lives in the U.S., and the steady increase in drug-related deaths involving cocaine grown and processed in South American countries. For those reasons, the U.S. Navy has established a dramatically more visible presence in that arena.
Taking on the drug traffickers
Illicit drugs are taking a huge toll in American lives. The Trump administration’s first big step in addressing that problem was shutting the southern border, but the number of U.S. drug-related deaths remains intolerably high, demanding action.
The bulk of those drug-related fatalities are caused by cocaine laced with opioids, particularly fentanyl. The fentanyl comes primarily from China, but massive amounts of cocaine are grown and processed in South America and sent to their ultimate destination — the streets of the U.S. — via an intricate transportation network controlled by international cartels. The first leg of that trip is usually the “go-fast” boats, designed for that purpose, each capable of rapid transit of a ton or more of cocaine to staging locations in Mexico.
Beginning just two months ago, the Trump administration initiated a succession of widely publicized military drone strikes targeting those shipments, sending the go-fast boats, their occupants, and their cocaine cargos to the bottom of the ocean. The administration has proudly publicized its success in this arena — 23 successful strikes so far, preventing 30-40 tons of cocaine from ever reaching U.S. shores. That’s only a part of the solution, affecting perhaps one quarter of the ongoing drug transport, but it’s a good start, certainly disrupting the drug-trafficking network.
Successful or not, the administration’s actions have raised the ire of many Democrats who raise concerns about the uncertain legality, the use of military force in that way, and the “extra-judicial” deaths involved. But — surprise, surprise — the American public at large, weary of empty talk and hungry for meaningful progress in this area, has so far strongly endorsed Trump’s aggressive approach.
The war crime allegations
Then there was last week’s blockbuster report by The Washington Post, asserting that on at least one occasion, U.S. forces intentionally killed survivors of the go-fast boat attacks. If true, the implications are profound, calling to mind images of barbaric, pointless slaughter of defenseless victims — un-American and clearly in violation of our own and international standards.
But as is often the case, the Post’s reporting is both late and well off the mark. Its front page headline declared that in early September, before the Navy’s first go-fast boat strike, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth ordered the killing of any and all survivors, in turn dictating an unnecessary second strike on an already destroyed boat, killing two survivors clinging to the wreckage. But the Post’s own article identifies neither witnesses nor any other evidence that such an order was ever given — and its allegation has been denied vigorously by Secretary Hegseth and Admiral Mitch Bradley, who was directly in command of the operation.
Moreover, the practice of successive strikes on a single target is not uncommon, for multiple reasons. I’m not sure which branch of the U.S. military services claims ownership of the tactical warfare principle that “anything worth bombing is worth bombing twice,” but it’s generally true. It’s called finishing the job, and it is a grim reminder of the ruthless brutality of warfare. What always counts most is achieving the mission.
In this case, those who express outrage about a second strike on a partially damaged boat seem not to be offended by the strike against that same boat and occupants with devastating incendiary explosives just minutes earlier. There’s nothing humane about warfare. Once engaged, the only successful path is to win the day — and our forces did exactly that.
Bottom lines
The war crimes allegation is a very serious one, and it is being taken seriously by both sides.
But there is no evidence that a “kill everyone” order was given or that it was known (or even knowable) by the U.S. Navy admiral in charge whether a second strike on the damaged go-fast boat could have been avoided. Further, I’d argue that once our military leadership orders a combat operation, it is generally unreasonable and unfair to second-guess the tactical judgments made in the heat of battle by those responsible for its execution.
On that basis, the uproar and politicized calls for heads to roll seem to have died down.
Moreover, what is even more infuriating is the likelihood that the accusation of war crimes was a political setup from the start. Recall that just two weeks ago, out of the blue, the DNC rolled out a very polished video featuring six Democrat members of Congress, each reminding members of U.S. armed services of their right — and responsibility — to refuse to comply with “illegal or unconstitutional” orders. Aside from its potential adverse impact on military effectiveness, that video prompted the question: why?
When challenged by the media, none of the six video participants could name a single illegal or unconstitutional order directed to the U.S. military. Then, like magic, within days, there was WaPo’s shocking revelation that two months earlier (probably about the same time the video was being prepared), Hegseth had issued an order that was not just illegal, but an actual war crime — one that could bring down the entire administration. Coincidence? No way.
Which brings us to the broader question of the legality and efficacy of an entire military campaign targeting the transport of cocaine, ultimately intended for the USA.
In my view, the underlying designation of drug trafficking as a brand of terrorism — unconventional and unprecedented as it may be — is entirely reasonable, in light of the huge human toll of drug trafficking. Is there a fundamental difference between terrorists who hijack commercial aircraft — with the intent of killing all aboard and thousands on the ground — and today’s narco-terrorists whose lethal products kill thousands of Americans each year? I don’t think so.
Should we be using our military to disrupt that deadly drug trafficking? Clearly, the enormity of the entire machine of illicit drug production and delivery, much of it offshore, argues for engagement of the one and only vehicle we have with the capability to effectively disrupt it — namely, our best-in-the-world military.
Yes, our president’s unhesitating decision to do so pushes established boundaries. Yes, it has a whiff of authoritarianism, and surely it provokes outrage within the No Kings crowd: “There it is again! Hitler! Fascism! Just like we said!” But for context, let’s at least keep in mind that Adolf Hitler was in the business of exterminating Jews; Donald Trump is trying to exterminate the lethal drugs killing Americans.
And above all, it occurs to me — for the umpteenth time — that dealing with the legal complexity and moral contradictions of today’s issues is primarily a matter of keeping our collective priorities straight. On this one, deep-sixing go-fast boats full of cocaine headed for our shores belongs high on the priority list; deep-sixing our political enemies doesn’t belong on the list at all. If we could come together on that simple point, we’d be better able to handle our problems.

If Barack Obama were blowing up narco-terrorists, would Democrats and the media be in an uproar? No. You know that already. That’s the ironic part of liberal America’s guffawing over Operation Southern Spear, which has been surgical in blasting narco-terrorists out of the sky in the Caribbean. Normal Americans don’t mind, but Democrats are viewing this like some illegal war, with President Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth being worthy of being hauled to The Hague.
Last night, CNN’s Scott Jennings did what he does best on Abby Phillip’s show: embarrass Democrats for their shoddy talking points, and this one was no exception. Jennings shut down the Democrats with a simple question to his co-panelists—"Did you ever ask or wonder if Obama was committing war crimes?”
Jennings is referring to the ‘Disposition Matrix’ database and associated drone strike program, which Obama used to execute some 500 strikes. Terrorists were turned into ashtrays, but so were civilians. Americans were on these kill lists, so please spare us the outrage, guys:

Jeff Flake: “Yes.”
Abby Phillip: “For the record, okay, for the record, there was bipartisan outrage over President Obama's very liberal use of drone strikes.”

Abby Phillip: “Hold on a second, yes.”
Scott Jennings: “Who?”
Abby Phillip: “Many people did. Many conservatives, many liberals did.”
Emma Vigeland: “We're not at war with Venezuela.”
Scott Jennings: “We're at war with narco-terrorists.”
America hasn’t declared war on anyone since World War II, but we still go to war—a great quote for those who’ve watched Wag the Dog. Second, not one significant Democrat or liberal ever was appalled or raised the level of mayhem as we see from the Left over Trump’s airstrike campaign against narco-terrorists.
And that’s why this issue won’t damage Trump in the least.

Is the President in Charge of the Executive Branch? The Supreme Court heard arguments in a case yesterday that could have drastic implications for our system of three, not four, constitutional branches of government!-Posted on The Patriot Post-By Nate Jackson-On December 9, 2025:
In plain language, our Constitution established three branches of government. Not four, which the Supreme Court considered yesterday in Trump v. Slaughter.
“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” likewise laid this out: “Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.”

It’s that simple, really, but I suppose I should also quote the Constitution. Article I, Section 1 created Congress: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” Article II, Section 1 begins, “The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.” Likewise, Article III, Section 1 says, “The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.”
The unconstitutional so-called fourth branch, often dubbed the administrative state, traces its roots primarily to President Woodrow Wilson. An academic, Wilson wasn’t a fan of the Constitution, particularly the limits it put on the executive. Arguably, he, more than any other president, is responsible for the administrative state of “experts” who determine much of what the federal government actually does now.
Congress regularly avails itself of the advantages of delegating its work to unelected bureaucrats, too. Why make hard decisions when you can campaign on blaming someone else in another branch?
In 1914, Wilson signed the law creating the Federal Trade Commission, consisting of five commissioners appointed by the president. In 1935, the Supreme Court effectively certified this “body of experts” arrangement in Humphrey’s Executor v. United States, concluding that President Franklin Roosevelt could not fire an FTC commissioner except “for cause.” In other words, a president can’t just fire his predecessor’s people and install his own.
That case established the precedent of “independent” agencies ostensibly protected from the — gasp — politics of presidential decisions about firings. However, these agencies are independent only in that the unelected bureaucrats who run them are largely unaccountable to the voters they rule.
As Ben Shapiro aptly notes, “There is nowhere in the Constitution where it says Congress has the power to set up an agency inside the executive branch that the president of the United States cannot run.”
Fast-forward to President Donald Trump, who fired FTC Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter; predictably, she sued. Lower courts, following Humphrey’s, ordered her reinstated, but Trump has pursued the case all the way to the Supreme Court, hoping for a critical overturning of a terrible precedent.
Team Trump’s brief to the Court explains the FTC’s power over all manner of economic transactions and that the elected president must have authority over an executive agency that otherwise wields power unaccountably.
By contrast, Slaughter’s team essentially argues that overturning 90 years of precedent would “profoundly destabilize” the government. Yes, returning something to constitutional bounds would indeed “destabilize” the current government, as intended.
The Leftmedia buys Slaughter’s argument, however. Article after article frets about the horrors of “politicizing” such independent agencies, as if no such thing has ever happened until Donald Trump.
The Court’s left-wing justices also seemed sympathetic to this argument yesterday. For example, Justice Elena Kagan worried, “You end up with massive, unchecked power in the hands of the president.”
Similarly, Justice Sonia Sotomayor lamented that overturning Humphrey’s would give “absolute power to the president.” Over the executive branch, yes, that is what the Constitution says. Yet she turned that venerated document on its head, adding, “You’re asking us to destroy the structure of government, and to take away from Congress its ability to protect its idea that the government is better structured with some agencies that are independent.”
No, Team Trump is asking the Court to restore the constitutional structure of government.
Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson channeled Woodrow Wilson, opining, “My understanding was that independent agencies exist because Congress has decided that some issues, some matters, some areas, should be handled in this way by nonpartisan experts.” She went on, “So, having a president come in and fire all the scientists, and the doctors, and the economists, and the PhDs, and replacing them with loyalists, and people who don’t know anything, is actually not in the best interest of the citizens of the United States.”
Joe Biden, who appointed Jackson to the Court, showed how well “government by the scientists” works.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh may have had that in mind when he said, “I think broad delegations to unaccountable independent agencies raise enormous constitutional and real-world problems for individual liberty.”
As for the precedent at play, Chief Justice John Roberts doesn’t think much of it. “Humphrey’s Executor is just a dried husk of whatever people used to think it was,” Roberts said. The FTC of 1935 “has nothing to do with what the FTC looks like today,” he added. “It was addressing an agency that hadn’t very little, if any, executive power.”
Obviously, it remains to be seen how the Court will rule — for example, whether it will endorse presidential authority over the Federal Reserve or find some other way to limit it. Presidents have certainly overstepped their constitutional bounds on many issues, but the Constitution is as clear as day about where executive authority rests.
