Vice President J.D. Vance on Thursday said the U.S. is not in diplomatic talks with Iran and that the silent treatment would continue as long as control of the Strait of Hormuz is contested.

Speaking to reporters in the White House, Mr. Vance said Iran’s blockade of the strait and its attacks on tanker vessels in the waterway remain the primary obstacles to peace.

“We’re not talking to them. And we’re not going to talk to them unless they stop shooting at commercial shipping,” he said.

The U.S. has not met diplomatically with Iran since June, after both sides signed the Pakistani-brokered Islamabad memorandum of understanding. Mr. Vance led the original delegation for the first round of direct talks with Iran.

Asked about the Trump administration’s efforts to combat inflation and improve affordability, namely with rising gas prices, Mr. Vance quickly blamed Iran.

“We would have had an energy crisis because the Iranians refused to stop acting like terrorists in the Strait of Hormuz,” Mr. Vance said. “The Iranians would like zero million barrels to come out of the Strait of Hormuz. Last night, 15 million barrels came out of the Strait of Hormuz. That’s because of the United States of America.”

The U.S. has coordinated an escort campaign in the strait through Omani waters in recent weeks, allowing for millions of barrels of oil to move safely out of the Persian Gulf. However, the ships often must travel at night to avoid detection from Iranian forces, and transit levels remain far below prewar levels.

Gasoline prices are a particular worry for the Trump administration. The average price per gallon is above $4 per gallon, on average, up from about $3 at the start of the war, according to the AAA auto club.

At least one-fifth of the world’s oil and natural gas flows through the Strait of Hormuz each year, and its closure has forced international energy prices to soar. Brent crude, the international benchmark for crude oil, sat at about $95 a barrel on Thursday afternoon, compared to $79 in early August and $66 a year ago.

Mr. Vance’s comments come as the U.S. war with Iran shows no signs of de-escalating, with missiles and drones fired from both sides across the Middle East in the most explosive week since July.

President Trump on Thursday raged against reports that the Iran war has severely depleted the nation’s munitions stockpiles. In a social media post, the president insisted that stockpiles of the essential ammunition are “virtually unlimited” and said the U.S. is producing them “at levels never seen before.”

“Far more than we could ever use for this, or for any other War (which is highly unlikely!), that could improbably take place,” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social.

A Fortune report analyzing the cost of the first two months of the war, which began in late February, found that the U.S. burned through roughly 45% of its Precision Strike Missiles and about half of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors, or about $24 billion worth of ballistic missiles and interceptors.

An independent analysis published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies found that it could take up to four years for the Pentagon to rebuild the U.S. stockpile of critical munitions to prewar levels.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine reportedly briefed Mr. Trump on the extent of the nation’s munitions shortage in July, shortly before the president decided to temporarily pause the air campaign against Iran.

Notably, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that Mr. Trump has been privately considering declaring an end to the Iran war despite the heavy presence of U.S. troops in the region and an ongoing naval blockade.

Mr. Trump paused active combat operations against Iran in late July after citing diplomatic progress. He recently has been relying on an expanding economic pressure campaign to force Iran to the negotiating table by facilitating the collapse of its economy.

Separately, reports are circulating that Trump aides are looking to avoid a major escalation in the war ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections as officials grow increasingly concerned about the political cost of the war on Republicans up for election.

Iran has already signaled that it is prepared to escalate the conflict further.

Iran targeted U.S. bases in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates with missiles and drones on Thursday, marking the third consecutive day of strikes on American assets in the region. U.S. defense officials have said that neither of the attempted attacks caused significant damage.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said this week that it had launched successful attacks on U.S. bases in Jordan and Bahrain, targeting radar and training sites. While Iranian security officials said the attacks caused serious damage, regional ministries and U.S. Central Command rejected Tehran’s claims.

FBI Investigating Report of Millions of Driver’s Licenses Sold on Dark Web

This morning, we learned that the FBI has confirmed the findings of a journalist that over 150 million scans of US and Canadian ID information from drivers’ licenses, including that of the assistant FBI Director’s, are being sold on the dark web. People whose personal information may be involved in this theft, are advised to monitor their credit reports often and frequently.

According to the Epoch Times, “The FBI said Wednesday it is investigating a site on the dark web after reports it was selling more than 150 million U.S. and Canadian driver’s licenses. Among them was the license information of the assistant director of the FBI.”

“Independent journalist Brian Krebs was the first to detect the criminal site, which was advertised on a Russian cybercrime forum with his own Virginia driver’s license appearing as a free sample on the site.

That detail caught his attention and led him to examine the rest of the site.”

Krebs published a report on Sept. 1, detailing that the site was offering digital scans of millions of the licenses. He said that nine people impacted by the data breach confirmed to him that the scans were real.

Remember Idemia, the international company which provides 55 million ID’s for Americans, PER YEAR – which was recently put into the hands of China? See my article, from just one month ago.

Oh, and don’t forget that a CCP Party member bought a building just 650 feet from the White House in DC. Here’s that article as well: CCP Official Buys a DC Building… That building is near enough to the White House, according to security expert, Bryan Dean Wright, a former CIA ops officer, to allow access for big splashy intel ops as well as for more classic ops — like a listening post or Stingray-like systems to collect phone calls, text messages, and digital exhaust.”

Might any of this have to do with the massive fake ID cabal on the web? It could be so, and I believe that we must press to learn more, block these digitized phantoms, and protect the Midterms of 2026.

That is a LOT to ask in a very short time, I know.

On the positive side, the “Data Republican” is launching a “Socialist Tracker”!

Recently hired by the Pentagon, Jennica Pounds, the blind and deaf Utah data analyst known as the “Data Republican” is under fire after unveiling a database she built to track people with ties to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

Why shouldn’t we know who they are?? The Communist wannabe’s parade themselves on streets across the nation, waving their DSA banners. They run for office in blue states and talk about their desire to cancel the Supreme Court and the office of the President, and to promote limitless immigration with welfare for all. They remove police and put citizens at risk.

They demand “free everything”, to be produced by a Communist philosophy that has failed EVERY time it had been tried. EVERY TIME, through history.

I commend Ms. Pounds, and the Department of War. Why should the whole world NOT know who they are and be braced to stand against them? Those aggrieved by the smart move, are the same ones planning to destroy our Republic. Guaranteed.

Our 2026 Midterm is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026. All 435 U.S. House seats, 35 U.S. Senate contests and 36 governor races are on the ballot in 2026. There is a lot on the line. And there is LOT of dark money behind the candidacies of the Communists who are running. Look at the defeat of strong Conservative, Andy Ogles, of TN, made possible by $6 million from liberal billionaires from California.

WITH WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE POTENTIAL FOR ILLEGITIMATE VOTES BEING CAST, Nov. 4, 2026 may be the end of our free Republic. Should the control of both houses of Congress be lost by the duly elected party in this Midterm, it would take decades to return to a semblance of freedom, if ever we could.

Frankly, I don’t believe America would ever be the same.

Those who think we need change (those who “hate Trump”, disagree with his moves as 47, are angry about gas and food prices, or think they love socialism) and might think they are inclined to vote for the “other guy” or just stay home, will learn, when they lose their homes, their bank accounts, their very freedom. And THAT is way too late.

Or has the process of mind-bending by the media, taken the lemmings to the edge of the cliff? As they mindlessly jump into the abyss at the directions of the communist leaders, voting for Communists and/or “anyone who isn’t Trump”, will they experience some quick sense of freedom should they “win” in the coming Midterms?

A victory by the Socialist/Communists will completely shred our Constitution and the nation that has stood strong on that document for 250 years.. America has done more for more people, during that time, than has any country in the history of man.

Communist countries cannot even do for their own .

What’s my message here? It’s simple: Have patience. And vote for our Constitution.

Stow your peeves at things that have been done or said by this current Administration. There are ZERO options from which to choose, on the Communist/”Democrat Socialists” side of the ballot if we still want freedom. Voting for one or more of them will NOT help our country.

Voting just to lift your leg on Donald Trump is NOT an answer to anything. I beg you to stay the course for now. Lose to the Communists in this election, and it will be our last, that is meaningful.

President Trump has begun his nationwide campaigning for midterm candidates, which will end up in Dallas on Sept. 9 and 10, at the Republican Party Midterm Convention, a first in national elections. Clearly, the Party is trying to overcome the massive voter fraud planned by the Left.

Pray that the Lord and cool heads prevail, and the results of the 2026 elections reflect the wishes of only legitimate US voters.

That is the best we can hope for any election.
