Breaking: House Judiciary Committee Refers Former CIA Director John Brennan for Criminal Prosecution!-Posted on The Western Journal-By Nick Givas-On October 21, 2025:
The House Judiciary Committee referred former Central Intelligence Agency director John Brennan to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution Monday, which could ultimately lead to an official indictment.
In a letter addressed to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Republican Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio cited “significant evidence” that Brennan “knowingly made false statements during his transcribed interview before the Committee on the Judiciary on May 11, 2023.”
“Brennan made numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and the CIA,” the letter read.
“Making false statements before Congress is a crime that undermines the integrity of the Committee’s constitutional duty to conduct oversight.”
The letter specifically highlighted Brennan’s statements regarding the CIA’s involvement in the now-discredited Steele dossier and various claims about Russia helping President Donald Trump win the White House back in 2016.
“The Steele dossier was a series of reports containing baseless accusations concerning President Trump’s ties to Russia compiled and delivered to the FBI in 2016 by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele,” Jordan explained.
He added, “Subsequent investigations confirmed that the Clinton campaign and the DNC paid Steele via the law firm Perkins Coie and opposition research firm Fusion GPS to provide derogatory information about Trump’s purported ties to Russia, which resulted in the discredited dossier.”

Brennan had previously testified that “the CIA was not involved at all with the [Steele] dossier,” which Jordan claimed was a blatant lie.
The letter also referred to testimony Brennan gave during a hearing in May of 2017, when he claimed the Steele dossier “was not in any way used as a basis for the Intelligence Community assessment that was done.”
Despite these statements being beyond the five-year statute of limitations, Jordan wrote highlighted how it “indicates a pattern of Brennan’s willingness to lie to Congress about the Steele dossier.”
“In sum, Brennan’s testimony before the Committee on May 11, 2023, was a brazen attempt to knowingly and willfully testify falsely and fictitiously to material facts,” Jordan concluded. “We therefore make this referral for the Department to examine whether any of Brennan’s testimony warrants a charge for the violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1001. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.”

Secret Service discovered a hunting stand with view of Trump’s Palm Beach airport runway!-Posted on The Washington Times-By Ben Sellers, The Washington Times-On October 20, 2025:
Officials with the U.S. Secret Service and FBI have confirmed that they discovered a hunting stand near Palm Beach International Airport that might have facilitated yet another assassination attempt on President Trump.
They discovered it Thursday during “advance security preparations” for Mr. Trump’s arrival the following day, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement.
During the sweep, which “included the use of technology and comprehensive physical sweeps,” agents identified “items of interest,” near the airport, Mr. Guglielmi said.
FBI Director Kash Patel said his agency was now overseeing the probe into how the stand came to be there and to whom it belonged.
“No individuals were located at the scene,” Mr. Patel told Fox News, which first reported on the hunting stand. “The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”
Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, himself a former Secret Service agent, offered additional details on Monday.
Mr. Patel “was directly involved right away” upon hearing about the security sweep, Mr. Bongino said on “Fox & Friends.”
“This hunting stand was appropriately dismantled, is being flown to our lab. I believe it’s there right now — and all of the forensic tools we have, from digital tools to biometric tools, they are all going to be applied to try to find out who put this up there and why,” he said.
Mr. Bongino also acknowledged that the Secret Service had been forced to make “a lot of modifications” in response to the uptick in political violence, including two notable attempts on Mr. Trump’s life and the Sept. 10 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The expanded security perimeter sweeps implemented in response to prior attacks on Mr. Trump underscored that the president’s safety was a “zero-fail mission,” Mr. Bongino said.
“You can’t have a mistake here,” he said. “It’s just not — having been a Secret Service agent, and now an FBI agent, and with the NYPD, I could tell you this is one of those missions where there are no do-overs.”
One of the previous would-be assassins, North Carolina resident Ryan Routh, was convicted in September after his arrest a year prior.
Routh set up a sniper location just outside the fence of Mr. Trump’s West Palm Beach golf club on Sept. 15, 2024. Mr. Trump would have been just 130 feet from the sniper position when he reached that part of the course, had Secret Service not spotted the barrel of Routh’s rifle protruding through the bushes.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, a man was arrested earlier in August for parking a rental car in an employee parking lot at the Palm Beach airport with a loaded Smith & Wesson rifle and at least three magazines of ammunition.
Michael Jeffrey Rodrigues, 41, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. There is no public information, however, linking him with the discovery of the hunting stand.

Secret Service Makes Arrest After Driver Rams Car Into White House Gates!-Posted on The Western Journal-ByJohnathan Jones-On October 22, 2025:
A driver was taken into custody Tuesday night after ramming a vehicle into a gate outside the White House while President Donald Trump was inside a few hundred feet away.
“At approximately 10:37 p.m., an individual drove a vehicle into the Secret Service vehicle gate located at 17th & E St, NW, in Washington, DC,” the Secret Service posted on X.
“The individual was arrested & the vehicle was assessed and deemed safe. Our investigation into the cause of this collision is ongoing,” the agency added.

“The individual was immediately arrested by U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers, and the vehicle was assessed by Secret Service and the Metropolitan Police Department and deemed safe,” the Secret Service said in a statement, per NBC News.
The ramming occurred as tensions flare nationwide and authorities continue to respond to escalating acts of left-wing violence against federal institutions and officials.
A motive for Tuesday night’s incident has not yet been released.
A photo on social media showed the vehicle appeared to be a small sedan.

The apparent attack came just days after Secret Service agents discovered a suspicious hunting tree stand within view of the Air Force One landing zone at Palm Beach International Airport.

“Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox News.

No injuries were reported in Tuesday’s White House ramming, and officials have not released the identity of the suspect.
It is the latest in a growing number of security incidents targeting federal property and personnel.
Just last month, a man was arrested after allegedly ramming the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office.
The suspect in that case was identified as Donald Henson of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, NBC News reported.
According to the FBI, Henson “crashed into a vehicle entrance gate at the FBI Pittsburgh office at 2:40 a.m., then grabbed an American flag from the vehicle and threw it onto the gate before he fled.”
“This incident is considered a targeted attack against the FBI,” the bureau said.

A U.S. Marshal and an illegal immigrant suspect were shot and injured Tuesday during a federal immigration enforcement operation in Los Angeles, according to a Fox News report.
Authorities said the incident unfolded when federal agents boxed in a vehicle believed to be carrying a targeted suspect. The driver then allegedly rammed multiple federal vehicles in an apparent attempt to flee, prompting agents to open fire.
Sources within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) told Fox News that one U.S. Marshal was struck in the hand, likely by a ricocheted bullet, while the suspect was hit in the elbow. Both were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to recover.
The suspect, identified as an illegal immigrant, was taken into custody at the scene after receiving medical treatment. Officials have not released his name pending notification of family members and confirmation of immigration status.
The Department of Justice and ICE are jointly investigating the shooting to determine whether use of force procedures were properly followed. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the suspect’s background or the charges that led to the enforcement action.

A federal appeals court Monday allowed President Trump to federalize and deploy National Guard troops to Oregon to help immigration officers carry out their duties, ruling that the law gives a president wide deference in those sorts of decisions.
The 2-1 ruling is a major legal win for Mr. Trump, marking the second time the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has given the OK to a troop call-up. The previous one was in Los Angeles.
It also stands in contrast with a ruling by a district judge in Chicago blocking a troop deployment in Illinois, where U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement faces similar headwinds from protesters.
“After considering the record at this preliminary stage, we conclude that it is likely that the president lawfully exercised his statutory authority,” the majority said in an unsigned opinion. Both of the judges are Trump appointees.
They put on hold a lower court injunction that had blocked Mr. Trump from calling up and deploying Oregon National Guard troops.
Mr. Trump is still blockaded by a second injunction, though its legal authority is unclear. The Justice Department has said it figures the lower court would lift that injunction in light of the appeals court’s ruling.
Oregon immediately filed a request asking the full appeals court to step in and overrule the panel, and a member of the 9th Circuit has asked colleagues to intervene.
The court gave both sides until Wednesday night to file briefs on the request.
Mr. Trump said the troops were necessary to calm months of protests aimed at ICE and its arrest and deportation efforts. The Department of Homeland Security has had to call in agents and officers from other parts of the country to protect ICE facilities.
The president said that triggered the federal law allowing call-up because the “regular forces” were unable to execute the law.
Judge Susan Graber, a Clinton appointee, said she “strenuously” dissented to what she called “the illegal deployment of troops under false pretenses.”
She said Mr. Trump has oversold the events in Portland.
“It is hard to understand how a tiny protest causing no disruptions could possibly satisfy the standard that the president is unable to execute the laws,” she said.
Judge Graber said the Portland upheaval fell far short of the riots that prompted National Guard deployment in the past, including the riots in the wake of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination in 1968 and the 1992 riots after the verdict in the trial of police officers accused of beating Rodney King.
Judge Ryan Nelson compared Mr. Trump’s call-up to the actions of George Washington and John Adams in the 1790s, when they called up the militia to put down the “Whiskey rebellion” and “Fries’s rebellion,” both in Pennsylvania.
Judge Nelson pointed out that Adams’ actions hurt him at the ballot box, helping Thomas Jefferson unseat him in the 1800 election.
“The political process was a powerful tool to check presidential action during the early Republic. We should not lose hope in our constitutional structure as a check against presidential overreach today,” he said.
Judge Bridget Bade joined him in the decision.
Part of the dispute in the case was over whether Mr. Trump was justified in looking back at the summer’s protests or whether he could take into account only what was going on in late September when he ordered the call-up.
Oregon argued, and Judge Graber agreed, that the situation was calm by the time the president acted.
The two Republican-appointed judges said Mr. Trump was justified in taking a broader view, pointing to severe unrest at the ICE facilities in June, July and August. Dozens have been arrested as federal agents have been attacked with fists and feet, blinding lasers, mortar fireworks and other incendiaries.
The to judges also chided Portland for its response. They pointed out that after ICE boarded up windows to reopen the facility, the city issued a zoning violation ordering the covers to be taken down.
The judges pointed out that Portland’s ICE facility had to be closed for days while the facility outside Chicago that has drawn protests has not had to close.
Judge April Berry, a Biden appointee in Chicago, has issued a blockade on the president’s troop deployment there, saying ICE has been able to carry out its activities despite the protests.
“I don’t find any evidence of impeding actually happened,” she said.
The Justice Department has asked the Supreme Court to intervene in that case.
Illinois and Chicago, in a brief to the justices Monday, urged them not to get involved at this stage. The brief urged the judges to leave the decision to lower courts.
“State and local law enforcement officers have handled isolated protest activities in Illinois, and there is no credible evidence to the contrary,” they said.
The American Civil Liberties Union criticized the 9th Circuit’s decision as a reward for Mr. Trump’s “political theater, divisive rhetoric and extreme abuse of power.”
Mr. Trump had federalized 200 troops to deploy to Portland. They had been allowed to remain called up but blocked from deploying until Monday’s ruling.
In Illinois, Mr. Trump wants to use some 400 members of the Texas National Guard and 300 members of the Illinois National Guard.
Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek complained after the ruling that Mr. Trump hasn’t been clear about what he wants the troops to do.
Local officials in Chicago and Portland say they fear troops patrolling the streets.
The appeals court judges, during oral argument, said they figured the troops would be assigned to protect the ICE buildings where the protests have upended activities.
Correction: This article has been updated to clarify that a second restraining order remains in place that appears to block Mr. Trump from immediately deploying troops.
