Iran threatened “devastating” consequences if the US moves ahead with imposing crippling sanctions against the regime — after the Trump administration pledged to hit the Islamic Republic with the toughest financial penalties in history.

“With preparedness across land, sea, air, air defense and cyberspace, Iran’s armed forces will respond to the enemy’s new threats with crushing, punishing and devastating responses,” Major General Ali Abdollahi, chief of staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, said on Iranian media.

The US and Iran cobbled together two cease-fire deals, one in April and the other in June, with the goal of restoring the normal flow of maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and ending the nearly six-month-old war — but both were short-lived.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on CNBC Friday that the US would “collapse the regime,” likening the naval blockade reimposed on Iran in July and the impending “toughest sanctions in history” as a “one-two punch.”

President Trump warned any country providing “any type of lifeline to Iran” would face economic consequences, and Bessent said he would “talk about exactly what we’re going to do” at a press conference on Monday.

But Iran’s foreign ministry preempted Bessent’s saber-rattling with a statement that new sanctions would not create “even the slightest hesitation in Iranians’ determination to safeguard Iran’s independence, dignity and national sovereignty.”

Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, who has led the country’s negotiations during mediation with the US, taunted the Trump administration, saying that America appears to have shifted tactics after being unable to defeat the regime militarily.

“We must make plans to deal with the unjust sanctions so that we can overcome them,” he said, accusing the US and Israel of waging economic and “cognitive” warfare.

Thousands of Iranians and 18 US service members have been killed since the Feb. 28 start of the war, with more than 750 wounded, according to the Pentagon.

The U.S. has been quietly helping ships get through the Strait of Hormuz since May. 

While Iran has demanded that ships use its approved route to the north, it appears Iran has lost any grip it may have had on the Strait because traffic has reportedly increased by nearly 400 percent over the last two weeks. 

How is that happening? The ships are increasingly using the U.S.- supported southern route and thumbing their noses at the Iranian regime's route. 

Nearly 200 ships navigated the strait last week, up from 150 the previous week and just 40 two weeks earlier, according to data from the UK Maritime Trade Operations Center. [....]

More than 80% of liquid cargoes transiting the Strait of Hormuz over the past two weeks have either taken the Omani route — a US-backed, UN International Maritime Organization-authorized channel Iran rejects — or gone “dark,” likely slipping through the same corridor, according to maritime intelligence firm Kpler.

“It increasingly looks like Iran has at least partially lost control of the strait,” Homayoun Falakshahi, head of crude oil analysis at Kpler, told CNN this week.

Using the Omani route, they can avoid any attempt by Iran to try to extort them for a toll. They've been hugging the coast of Oman and turning off their transponders, so it's harder to track or attack them. 

About half were oil tankers; the rest were dry cargo. So that's also positive for the oil supply and the prices. 

While the traffic is still lower than before the fighting, it's progressively increasing, and that's bad news for Iran as they lose any leverage they think they might have had and vessels decide they're going to ignore them.

Add that to their dire economic situation, and that doesn't bode well for them.

The law linked above should keep everyone on this list from ever appearing on a ballot anywhere in the USA, because they all openly call for the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution and our Republic.

5 U.S. Code § 7311 states quite clearly…

“An individual may not accept or hold a position in the Government of the United States or the government of the District of Columbia if he (or she)…

(1) advocates the overthrow of our constitutional form of government;

(2) is a member of an organization that he (she) knows advocates the overthrow of our constitutional form of government;

(3) participates in a strike, or asserts the right to strike, against the Government of the United States or the government of the District of Columbia; or

(4) is a member of an organization of employees of the Government of the United States or of individuals employed by the government of the District of Columbia that he (she) knows asserts the right to strike against the Government of the United States or the government of the District of Columbia.”

On this basis alone, in accordance with standing United States Law, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has the authority to step in and remove anyone from office who is involved in the above acts and prevent any candidates running for office who are guilty of the same acts.

The DOJ also has the authority to shut down every individual and organization that is also calling for the overthrow of our system of self-governance or financing these anti-American operations.

I hereby call upon U.S. Attorney General Blanche to do exactly that, enforce 5 U.S. Code § 7311 to the full extent and clear intent of this law. Seize all assets and shut down all Soros related organizations as well as ACT BLUE, the DNC’s international money laundering operation!

There is no “saving the USA” as long as these people, groups and activities are allowed to operate on American soil, and the Department of Justice has the authority and duty to end it all by enforcing our laws!
