“ATLANTA - So far, no one has proven it’s a scam, but they haven’t proven it’s for real either.

This week more than 700 senior citizens filled out a rather skimpy form promising a $500 check from the AmericanOpportunities Stimulus Program.

They filled in sensitive information like their name, address, birth date and social security numbers, all with the promise of getting a Visa Check card in return.

But on Thursday, Fulton County government put out a warning that it might be an identity theft scam.

They even sent their own camera crew to the Atlanta headquarters of Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, where the forms were being handed out by Vanessa Emerson and her son, Brandon.

In the video Vanessa Emerson can be seen brandishing a photo copy of a U.S. Treasury check saying, “I’m going to show ya’ll, I got my money.”

After the alarm went out, Brandon Emerson returned hundreds of the forms to the NAN headquarters at 632 Peoples Street so they could be given back to the seniors who filled them out.

Even though his mother was wearing a NAN T-shirt in the Fulton County government video, her son claimed they are not affiliated with the organization.

Worried seniors continued to stream to the local NAN headquarters on Friday fearing someone may be trying to steal their identities.

“I am scared and I’m going to the bank now and put a fraudulent lock on my account,” senior Bobbie Early told 11 Alive News on Friday.

Eventually the Southeast Regional Director for NAN showed up at the headquarters and began reassuring seniors no one was going to compromise the information.

Tyleis Speight admitted to 11 Alive News the forms had been collected there, but claimed she was a victim, too.

“National Action Network has been frauded as well,” Speight said.

She said they’re still trying to find out who was responsible.

Reached by phone on Friday, Vanessa Emerson said she and her son had no idea the forms they’d been collecting might be fake.

She said they were going out of town and would comment more when they return next week.

The national NAN office insisted they knew nothing about what had happened.

“We had no knowledge of what was going on,” said NAN Executive Director Tamika Mallory.

“We would never authorize anything like that,” she added.

Mallory said NAN’s attorneys are doing their own investigation.

So are Atlanta Police who say they are still trying to determine what crime, if any, may have been committed.”

“Alfred Charles Sharpton was born in Brooklyn, New York in October 1954, to comparatively prosperous parents. He demonstrated considerable verbal dexterity at an early age and was touted as “the wonder-boy preacher” by age 7, when he toured with gospel singer Mahalia Jackson and Pentecostal minister F.D. Washington. Washington personallyordained Sharpton, who idolized Adam Clayton Powell, as a Pentecostal minister when the boy was 10.



That same year, Sharpton’s parents divorced, leaving the youngster and his mother impoverished and reliant on welfare. In the late 1960s, Sharpton joined the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). In 1969 he wasappointed as youth director of SCLC’s “Operation Breadbasket,” an initiative headed by Jesse Jackson which boycotted businesses accused of failing to hire enough black employees. 



In the February 9, 1971 edition of the Communist Party USA newspaper Daily World, CPUSA member Stephanie Allan wrote about a pair of recent rallies (in Chicago and in White Plains, New York) which had been held to support a CPUSA front called The Committee to Free Angela Davis. At the time, Davis was in prison for her role in abetting the murder of a California judge. Eliseo Medina was one of the speakers at the Chicago event, while Sharpton addressed the New York rally. According to Stephanie Allan, Sharpton and fellow speaker J.L. Scott “exposed the connection between [the] A&P [Corporation], U.S. monopoly capitalism, racism and imperialism, and related these to the Angela Davis case and the threat to the vital rights of the Black people.”



Also in 1971, Sharpton established the National Youth Movement, an organization that sought to organize young African Americans to push for increased voter registration, cultural awareness, and job-training programs. He would lead the group for the next 17 years.

After attending Brooklyn College for two years, Sharpton dropped out and had no additional higher education or formal seminary training. He soon began working (as a tour manager) for the entertainer James Brown and, later, for boxing promoter Don King.  In 1978, Sharpton made an unsuccessful run for the New York State Senate.



A 2002 telecast of HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel showed a 1983 FBI surveillance video in which Sharpton could be seen discussing a money-laundering scheme with mobster-turned-informant Michael Franzese, onetime captain for the Colombo crime family. On the tape, Sharpton appeared to offer to broker a meeting between Don King and a South American drug lord. No indictments were filed. 



Sharpton first entered America’s national consciousness on a large scale in November 1987, when he injected himself into the case of a 15-year-old black girl named Tawana Brawley, who claimed that she had been abducted and raped by a gang of six whites in Dutchess County, New York. Despite a complete absence of any credible evidence to support Miss Brawley’s story, Sharpton (along with attorneys Alton Maddox and C. Vernon Mason) made increasingly wild accusations, culminating in charges that then-Dutchess County assistant prosecutor Steven Pagones had participated in the girl’s brutalization. An extensive and costly investigation eventually proved Brawley’s tale to be without factual basis, and a grand jury dismissed her accusations. 



When Pagones in 1997 sued Sharpton (as well as Maddox and Mason) for defamation of character, Sharpton, under oath, said he could “no longer recall” having made a number of his slanderous accusations against Pagones and other law-enforcement officials years earlier. Pagones won a $345,000 court judgment against Sharpton and his two accomplices, of which Sharpton was responsible for $65,000. But Sharpton never paid his debt; rather, it was paid (along with $22,000 in interest) in 2001 by a group of wealthy Sharpton supporters.



In 1991 Sharpton formed the National Action Network (NAN), whose platform “revolves around activism against racial profiling, police brutality, women’s issues, economic reform, public education, international affairs, including abolishing slavery in Africa, job awareness, AIDS awareness, and more.” 



That same year, anti-Semitic riots erupted in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights section after a Hasidic Jewish driver accidentally ran over and killed a 7-year-old black boy. Within three hours, a black mob had hunted down and slain an innocent rabbinical student, Yankel Rosenbaum, in retribution. Sharpton declared that it was not merely a car accident that had killed the black child, but rather the “social accident” of “apartheid.” He organized angry demonstrations and challenged local Jews—whom he derisively called “diamond merchants”—to “pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house” to settle the score. Stirred in part by such rhetoric, hundreds of Crown Heights blacks took violently to the streets for three days and nights of rioting.  Sharpton reacted to the chaos by stating, “We must not reprimand our children for outrage, when it is the outrage that was put in them by an oppressive system.”



Sharpton ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in 1992 and 1994, and he received 32 percent of the vote in the 1997 Democratic mayoral primary in New York City.



In 1994 Sharpton was re-baptized into the Baptist faith and became a minister of that denomination.



In 1995 Sharpton—along with such notables as Jeremiah Wright and Barack Obama—helped organize Louis Farrakhan’s October 16^th Million Man March.



Also in 1995, Sharpton led his NAN in a racially charged boycott against Freddy’s Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned business in Harlem. The boycott started when Freddy’s owners announced that because they wanted to expand their own business, they would no longer sublet part of their store to a black-owned record shop. The street leader of the boycott, Morris Powell, was also the head of Sharpton’s “Buy Black” Committee. Powell and his fellow protesters repeatedly and menacingly told passersby not to patronize the “crackers” and “the greedy Jew bastards [who are] killing our [black] people.” Some boycotters openly threatened violence against whites and Jews—all under the watchful, approving eye of Sharpton, who referred to the proprietors of Freddy’s as “white interlopers.” The subsequent picketing became ever-more menacing in its tone until one of the participants eventually shot (non-fatally) four whites inside the store and then set the building on fire—killing seven employees, most of whom were Hispanics.

In 1998 Sharpton was a featured speaker at the Socialist Scholars Conference in New York.



In August 2000, Sharpton held a “Redeem the Dream” rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, where one the the featured speakers was Malik Zulu Shabazz. At that event, Shabazz called on black young people, including “gang members,” to unite against their “common enemy”—“white America” and its allegedly racist police departments. He also articulated a “black dream that when we see caskets rolling in the black community … we will see caskets and funerals in the community of our enemy as well.”



In a May 2003 speech sponsored by Harvard Law School, Sharpton characterized Republicans as racists who “cut taxes for the rich while [they] strangle the poor”; he likened black Republicans Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice to subservient house slaves; he called for “$50 billion a year” in tax hikes so that America could “invest in working-class people, not multi-billionaires”; he proclaimed that “white male land owners” were in control of the United States; and he asserted that the descendants of the white men who “used to buy [blacks], now they rent ‘em.”



A harsh critic of the Iraq War and the Patriot Act (which he called “unpatriotic” and “illegitimate” legislation), Sharpton campaigned for the U.S. presidency in 2004. Though his candidacy was unsuccessful, the Democratic Partyestablishment allowed him to speak in the prime-time slot on the third day of its national convention.



In August 2005 Sharpton visited activist Cindy Sheehan in Crawford, Texas to show support for her anti-war, anti-Bush protest campaign.



On September 24, 2005, Sharpton spoke at the “Call to United Mass Action,” an anti-Iraq War rally in Washington, DC that was co-organized by International ANSWER and United for Peace and Justice. Other speakers at the event, which was attended by an estimated 300,000 people, included Ramsey Clark, Cindy Sheehan, George Galloway,Ralph Nader, Lynne Stewart, Mahdi Bray, Dolores Huerta, Elias Rashmawi, Larry Holmes, Brian Becker, Michael Berg, and Michael Shehadeh.

In March 2008, Sharpton, a strong supporter of Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy, stated that he was accustomed to speaking with Obama on a regular basis—“two or three times a week.”

Sharpton often threatens to organize black boycotts of corporations on grounds that they supposedly discriminate against African Americans. Those companies, in turn, commonly try to pacify Sharpton with cash; sometimes they hire him as a consultant. For example:

• In June 1998 Sharpton threatened to call for a consumer boycott of Pepsi, alleging that blacks were underrepresented in the company’s advertising. Less than a year later, Pepsi hired Sharpton as a $25,000-per-year adviser until 2007.
• In November 2003, Sharpton threatened to lead a boycott of DaimlerChrysler over the allegedly pervasive “institutional racism” in the company’s car loan practices. Within six months, Chrysler began supporting Sharpton’s NAN conferences.
• Also in 2003, Sharpton complained that American Honda had too few blacks in management positions. Company executives met with Sharpton, and within two months they began to sponsor NAN events.
• According to one General Motors spokesman, NAN repeatedly asked his company for contributions every year from 2000 through 2006, and GM each time declined to pay anything. Then, in December 2006 Sharpton threatened to call a boycott to protest the carmaker’s closing of an African American-owned GM dealership in the Bronx. In 2007 and 2008, General Motors made monetary donations to NAN.

In April 2009, Sharpton and his NAN were fined $285,000 for having violated election rules during Sharpton’s 2004 presidential bid. According to the Federal Election Commission:

• Sharpton’s campaign illegally accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in extravagant contributions from private sources.
• Sharpton’s campaign “kept poor records of its activities and expenditures” and illegally commingled funds from the nonprofit NAN with his for-profit ventures.
• Sharpton lied to authorities regarding the amount of money he had raised during his 2004 campaign—so as to illegally qualify for federal matching funds.

On May 2, 2010, Sharpton addressed a church congregation in Danbury, Connecticut, where he said that the late Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream “was not to put one black president in the White House,” but rather “to make everything equal in everybody’s house.” 



In July 2011, Sharpton replaced Cenk Uygur as the host of a nightly news / talk television program on MSNBC. 

Sharpton also hosts his own radio program, The Hour of Power, which airs for three hours each weekday in New York.

In the early 1990s the NAACP, following the lead of its then-Executive Director Benjamin Chavis, rejected moderate voices and strove instead to form alliances with some of the most radical elements in the black community. Do our Congressional Representatives have the fortitude? No Guts-No Glory!

“The story is one of not covert activity alone,” intoned Sen. Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, “but of covert foreign policy .... It is a tale of working outside the system and of utilizing irregular channels and private parties accountable to no one, on matters of national security, while ignoring the Congress and even the traditional agencies of executive foreign policy making. The story is both sad and sordid.”

Sen. Inouye was speaking not of the biggest scandal of the Obama administration, but of the biggest scandal of the Reagan administration—the Iran-Contra scandal. In that scandal, the United States sold weapons to parties in Iran in an attempt to free Lebanese-held hostages, then funneled the weapons cash to the anti-communist Contras in Nicaragua. The outcome of that scandal: indictments against the secretary of defense, the national security advisor, the assistant secretary of state, the chief of covert ops at the CIA and several others.

That scandal pales by comparison to the so-called Fast and Furious scandal now bubbling in Washington, D.C. In fall 2009, Eric Holder and the Department of Justice decided on a strategy supposedly designed to combat gun trafficking on the Mexican border. They didn’t want the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to seize illegal firearms anymore; instead, they wanted them to give firearms to members of the Mexican cartels.

According to the Congressional report, “ATFs Phoenix Field Division began allowing suspects to walk away with illegally purchased guns .... This shift in strategy was known and authorized at the highest levels of the Justice Department.” One goal was to identify “straw purchasers”—legal gun purchasers who hand off those guns to illegal owners. Instead of arresting the straw purchasers and their contacts, however, ATF was to allow the guns to continue to flow to the Mexican drug cartels. “ATF and DOJ leadership were interested in seeing where these guns would ultimately end up,” the report states. “ATF would only see these guns again after they turned up at a crime scene.”

That’s exactly what happened. The entire operation ended with only 20 indictments of straw purchasers—indictments that could have happened immediately upon transfer of the weapons, stopping the flow. In fact, the straw purchasers, at issue, were known to be straw purchasers from the get-go. The indictments only took place at all because U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered using the weapons authorized for free flow by ATF and DOJ. Terry wasn’t the only person killed because of Fast and Furious—the weapons OK’d by the DOJ and ATF were used in three murders, four kidnappings and an attempted murder in Mexico. They’ve been identified at 11 other crime scenes in the United States.

So what was the real goal of the DOJ and ATF? It certainly wasn’t to shut down access to arms for the cartels—the ATF was agreeing to such access. It wasn’t to stop straw purchasers—the ATF was signing off on the straw purchasers. It wasn’t to track the movements of the cartel—there was no way to do that. It was, very simply, to establish for political reasons that American guns were being used in crimes by foreign cartels.

This was the Reichstag fire of the Second Amendment. By authorizing the passage of weapons to America’s enemies, President Obama and his administration clearly wanted to set up a narrative that America’s lax gun laws were killing American troops and law enforcement officers. They wanted their misuse of law enforcement authority to create the impetus for a crackdown on gun sales in the United States.

How high does this go? Apparently, all the way to the top. The attorney general of the state of Arizona, a Democrat operative, has already resigned in an attempt to avoid the consequences of participating in this fiasco. Middle management at DOJ and ATF has already been thrown under the bus. The acting director of the ATF, Kenneth Melson, has already been defenestrated.

For his part, Obama has denied that Attorney General Eric Holder green-lit the operation, stating, “My attorney general has made clear he certainly would not have ordered gun running to be able to pass through into Mexico.” This is less than credible—how could the head of the DOJ not know about an operation of this magnitude handled by the DOJ? And how could President Obama not know? And why, if the DOJ is uninvolved, do they want a copy of Melson’s confidential interview with Congressional staff?

If this scandal runs all the way up the chain of command—and by all indicators, it could—it is certainly an impeachable offense. This is a high crime, not a misdemeanor.

Pushing an operation designed to undercut American freedoms that ends with the death of Americans is not only illegal, it is unconscionable. And unlike Iran-Contra, it wasn’t done for the right reasons.”

“Ezra Klein, a columnist at The Washington Post, has written an interesting piece on why “Europe could decide the 2012 election”. Klein writes that “the 2012 election is likely to be decided by the actions of a handful of European leaders” taken over the next two weeks. He warns that the debt crisis in Europe “can shatter an already fragile global economy”, with significant implications for the United States and the fortunes of President Obama. Klein notes that Europe’s leaders could do more “to secure Obama’s reelection” than Obama’s own advisers:

“It doesn’t have to happen, of course. Europe has the resources to get through this crisis. But it doesn’t have the governance structures necessary to do so, nor is it clear that it has the political will needed to create them. At the moment, Greece is teetering on the edge, and so things could get very bad, very quick. And if they do, our economy is going to get very bad, very quick – and so will President Obama’s reelection chances.”

If Europe somehow vastly exceeds the market’s expectations and emerges with the strong fiscal union that everyone knows they can form but no one thinks they will create, it could do more to restore global confidence and kickstart an economic recovery than any single piece of legislation we can pass here, and that could do more to secure Obama’s reelection than any message David Plouffe can think up.

This Washington Post piece echoes President Obama’s declaration earlier this week that the European crisis is “scaring the world”, as well as his administration’s calls for a more aggressive, integrated response by the European Union. As I’ve noted previously, while faith in the European project is flagging all over the continent and Euroscepticism is on the rise,

Eurofederalism is alive and well among American liberals in the media and within the Obama administration itself. Some of the strongest supporters of ever-closer union in Europe can be found in Washington and New York, despite the fact that a federal Europe has never been in the interests of the United States. As even the Germans begin to lose faith in the euro, American liberals will no doubt continue to cling to the illusory dream of a federal Europe, which as we speak is starting to go down in flames.

I expect in the coming weeks that Barack Obama will increasingly focus upon the European financial crisis in an effort to distract attention away from his own economic record. He will also seek to blame Europe’s leaders for some of the economic ills America faces. But ultimately, no matter what the EU decides to do about the financial contagion spreading from Greece to Portugal, Italy, Spain and France, President Obama will be judged in 2012 on his own Big Government record, which looks similar to a lot of the heavy-spending interventionist policies that have spectacularly failed across the Atlantic.”

Further, the public at large and their elected MEPs (Members of European Parliament) are thereby shut out of all meaningful decision making. The Commission does not consult with the voters but only with interest groups, and the details are ironed out by committees, which could be referred to as technocrats.

The national governments (called “local”) are obliged to adopt – or harmonize – EU legislation, so they are puppets of the regime.

We see the outlines of this system in our American “democracy,” where interest groups rule over the majority and the majority likes it or lumps it.

What you read here presumably is what a North American Union would look like. You will recall that in the latter days of his administration, GW Bush — whose father chattered a lot about the New World Order — was in fact toying with just such a supranational scheme, called the Security and Prosperity Partnership. A secret meeting held in Canada would have laid the groundwork for implementation of the scheme. Fortunately, the plot was outed and the plan was scrapped — temporarily or permanently, who knows?

How The EU Parliament Works:

Many people throughout Europe and the rest of the world still think that the parliament of the European Union is democratic.

Compared to that in Britain, It isn’t.

To begin with, the Members of the European parliament (MEPs) are not elected as in Britain, on a ‘first past the post’ system but by a multi-member type of proportional representation.  There is currently a total of 732 seats in the EU parliament and these are allocated to each member state on the basis of population, Germany having the largest number and Luxembourg the fewest.  Britain now has 72 seats, or about 9.8% of the total. Once elected, MEPs then sit, not in national blocks but in seven Europe-wide political groups.  As stated in the EU’s Guide to its Institution (2005), ‘between them, they represent all views on European integration, from the strongly pro-federalist to the openly Eurosceptic’.  You will notice the use of the word ‘openly’.  But so far, so democratic.

It is important to realise that unlike the British Parliament (which we know by its place-name as ’Westminster’), the European parliament does not consist of a proposing Chamber, such as the House of Commons, and a scrutinizing Chamber like the House of Lords.

Decision-making at European Union level involves various European institutions, in particular:

The European Parliament

The Council of the European Union

According to The Guide, The European Commission, which now consists of 27 members, is independent of national governments and its job is solely to represent and uphold the interests of the EU as a whole.   The Commission alone is responsible for drawing up proposals for new European legislation which it then presents to the Council and the parliament and it is here that democracy begins to falter, for the Commissioners are not elected but appointed.

A new Commission is set up every five years within six months of the parliamentary elections and it is the member state Governments which agree together who is to be the new Commission President.  The President then, in discussions with the member state Governments, chooses the other Members of the Commission who will all have held political positions in their own countries but are neither MEPs (Members of Parliament) nor have been elected to this position by the populations of the EU member states.

It is the Commission alone, which is responsible for drafting proposals for new European legislation.  Before these are drawn up, the Commission consults a wide range of interest groups and advisory bodies and having drawn up such proposals it will consult experts via various committees and groups to get the technical details right.

However, the European Council is the EU’s main decision-making body with its first duty being to pass European laws, in many cases, but not all, jointly with the European parliament.   In some fields, the Council alone legislates but has to consult parliament.   The Council, which consists of ministers from the member states, will discuss, behind closed doors and away from the media, the proposals put forward by the Commission.   Which ministers attend which meetings depends on what subjects are on the agenda.  For instance, Environment Ministers will attend a meeting on the environment and Finance Ministers will attend a meeting on financial matters.   If then agreed, the proposal may then be put to the chamber of the European parliament.

And it is in the European parliament that democracy really breaks down.

Before being voted on, the proposals will go to various Committees of MEPs for possible amendment after which the chamber will be given perhaps 24 hours’ notice of the coming vote in which to study these amended proposals.  Discussion will also take place as to who will speak for each group and for how long on which measure.   At this stage in Westminster, there would be an active debate in the House of Commons, often taking a considerable time, but in the European parliament speaking time is allocated amongst the Parliamentary Groups on the basis of size, and most MEPs will get around just one minute to speak.  Nor are these are not what would be recognised in the British Parliament as debates but just short talks, mainly designed for the media.

After these speeches come the votes.  But once again, although a proposal can be won or lost on 51% of those voting, the method of counting votes is quite different from that at Westminster.  No ‘ayes to the right’ and ‘noes to the left’.   Instead, most votes go through merely on a show of hands.  Bearing in mind that scores of proposals and their amendments can be brought forward for voting on in one day, and that there are nearly 800 possible voters, it is not surprising that there can be some spectacular mistakes.   The UK Independence Party, which sits with the European Freedom and Democracy Group, has formally requested that all votes be taken electronically but this was refused by the parliamentary authorities. In spite of this, should any vote be lost, this is not the end of the matter.   It then goes to ‘Conciliation’, after which in most cases, the proposal goes through into EU law.

In Britain these EU laws (known as either directives or regulations) go through Parliament in the sense that committees have a short debate where they are asked to ‘take note’ of a particular directive or regulation.   Note that there is no option to reject them and although there is a vote on ‘taking note’, this is academic since unless we have an appropriate veto, Britain has no choice but to accept these EU laws which now comprise some 84% of all British legislation.

Which means that whatever the unelected European Commission puts forward as a proposal will become law in Britain and the other EU states because there is virtually no way of stopping it.  And that means the countries of the European Union are ruled not by democracy but by a form of dictatorship known as an oligarchy, dictatorship not by one but by a group.

But a dictatorship nonetheless.

 “The newly appointed chief of President Obama’s Social Innovation and Civic Participation Council is a member of a globalist organization whose activists can be found throughout the Obama administration.

Jonathan Greenblatt was appointed the new head of Obama’s Social Innovation Unit earlier this month.

Greenblatt is the founder of a civic service company that works in partnership with Google and the Huffington Post. He has several ties to Google.

WND reported last week that until his appointment to the Obama administration, Greenblatt served as the director of a social justice group funded by George Soros.

The organization, the Aspen Institute, works closely with Soros and even was reportedly used by the billionaire in a failed attempt to engineer the defeat of President Bush in the 2004 elections.

Now it has emerged that Greenblatt is a member of the globalist group Pacific Council on International Policy, or PCIP. He previously chaired PCIP’s energy and environment committee and served on its globalization committee.

The PCIP was founded in 1995 in partnership with the Council on Foreign Relations.

The group says it is the “premier international affairs organization focused on policy issues of special resonance to the West Coast.”

Its goals include “building our network of globally oriented business, civic and government leaders.” Also, the group aims to convene exchanges with global policy makers and opinion leaders while partnering with organizations around the world to “promote mutual understanding and coordinated action.”

The group recently led a taskforce on so-called climate change adaption. Its recommendations include building government funds to support large-scale “climate adaption” projects.

PCIP last year released a major report on U.S.-Mexico border security that recommended the U.S. government crackdown on gun sellers.

The report says: “The United States should intensify efforts to curtail the smuggling of firearms, ammunition and bulk cash into Mexico by aggressively investigating gun sellers, regulating gun shows, reinstituting the Clinton-era ban on assault weapons, conducting targeted inspections of southbound traffic and providing leads to a more robust Mexican Customs authority.”

The PCIP is funded by the Ford Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the Rockefeller Foundation.

In an online question-and-answer session with the PICP, Greenblatt told the group he believes the world “needs to pursue policies that blend a long-term commitment to sustainable development with opportunities for widespread economic prosperity in emerging markets.”

Asked to list his favorite global resources online, Greenblatt says he follows the Twitter account of economist Jeffrey Sachs.

Sachs is a Soros-funded economist. He is a member of the Soros-funded Institute for New Economic Thinking, or INET, which holds yearly conferences in the mountains of Bretton Woods, N.H.,that openly seek to restructure the world economy. Last year, Sachs keynoted the event.

Sachs also founded the Millennium Promise Alliance, a nonprofit organization that says it is dedicated to ending extreme poverty and hunger.

Critics have called the Millennium group, which is funded by Soros to the tune of $50 million, a wealth-redistribution scheme.

Investor’s Business Daily reported the Millennium goal called for a “currency transfer tax,” a “tax on the rental value of land and natural resources,” a “royalty on worldwide fossil energy projection – oil, natural gas, coal,” “fees for the commercial use of the oceans, fees for airplane use of the skies, fees for use of the electromagnetic spectrum, fees on foreign exchange transactions, and a tax on the carbon content of fuels.”

Global group abounds in Obama administration:

Meanwhile, multiple Obama administration members are also activists in the PCIP.

Earlier this week, WND reported Obama’s pick for Commerce secretary is a PICIP member.

Obama’s ambassador to France, Charles Rivkin, is a member of the PCIP. Last October, he invited a 29-member delegation from the PCIP to a conference in France for the stated purpose of discussing Arab and Islamic relations in the country.

Rivkin was at the center of a scandal when WikiLeaks released a cable in which he proposed the U.S. Embassy in France initiate a multipronged effort to “engage” and help to “empower” France’s Muslim minorities.

Rivkin called the effort a “Minority Engagement Strategy,” which was largely directed at Muslims in France.

WND found other PCIP members inside the Obama administration.

James B. Steinberg, deputy secretary of state, serves on the PICP board of directors. He also serves on the science and security board of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, a journal that argued during the Cold War for the U.S. to hand its nuclear weapons to an international organization.

The Bulletin, as WND reported, was founded by scientists who were accused of spying for the Soviets and passing along vital nuclear secrets.

Vilma S. Martinez, U.S. ambassador to Argentina, is the chairman of the PCIP’s Mexico Study Group.

Former Utah Gov. Jon M. Huntsman Jr., a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, was appointed by Obama as ambassador to China in August 2009. He is a PCIP founding director.

Jeffrey L. Bleich, Obama’s appointment for U.S. ambassador to Australia, is a PCIP member.

Diana Farrell, deputy director of the National Economic Council, is a member of the PCIP as well as the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bretton Woods Committee. She is a frequent speaker on U.S. global engagement.

Byron Auguste, a member of Obama’s White House Council for Community Solutions, serves on the PCIP board. He is also on the board of trustees of the Center for American Progress, which is funded by Soros and led by John Podesta, who served as co-chairman of Obama’s transition team.

Last year, PCIP member Steven Myers joined the State Department’s advisory committee on international economic policy.

John B. Emerson, appointee for Obama’s advisory committee for trade policy and negotiations, is a member of both the PCIP and CFR.

In April, Obama nominated PCIP member Janet Yellen to serve as vice chairman of the Federal Reserve.

PCIP member Alan D. Bersin was appointed commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Last March, Obama appointed PCIP member Michael Camunez to the position of assistant secretary for market access and compliance in the Department of Commerce.

Ernest James Wilson, a member of the PCIP board, was elected chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in September 2009. He served as a policy advisor on Obama’s presidential transition team on matters of communication technology and public diplomacy.

Organization accuses U.S. of 'structural racism':

Greenblatt, meanwhile, also serves as director of the Impact Economy Initiative at the Aspen Institute.

Aspen’s mission statement says the nonprofit seeks “to foster values-based leadership, encourag[e] individuals to reflect on the ideals and ideas that define a good society, and ... provide a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues.”

The group leads a number of social justice global initiatives and espouses an ideology that government intervention is necessary to fix what it claims are various social and racial injustices that permeate U.S. society.

Aspen’s website says the group is dedicated to repairing what it terms “structural racism.”

The group contends that “public policies, institutional practices, cultural representations, and other norms work in various, often reinforcing ways to perpetuate racial group inequity in every key opportunity area, from health, to education, to employment, to income and wealth.”

A member of Aspen’s board is Henry Louis Gates Jr., a Harvard professor who sparked a national race controversy in July 2009 when Obama criticized local Cambridge police who had arrested Gates after a burglary had been reported on his property.

Aspen runs a program that provides training and seminars for federal judges.

'Clandestine' Soros summit:

Soros has provided significant funding to the Aspen Institute. His Open Society Institute has provided more than $400,000 to the group since 2004.

The New Yorker magazine reported on a 2004 “clandestine summit meeting” that took place at the Aspen Institute.

“The participants, all Democrats, were sworn to secrecy,” said the magazine, including Soros and four other billionaires who “shared a common goal: to use their fortunes to engineer the defeat of President George W. Bush in the 2004 election.”

Soros himself spoke at numerous Aspen events, including a 2004 seminar entitled “America’s Role in the Fight Against Global Poverty” that also featured Al Gore as a speaker.

Aspen hosted Soros in 2006 for a talk about his new book “The Age of Fallibility: Consequences of the War on Terror.”

The latter grant was earmarked for “international human rights and international humanitarian law and their application in American jurisprudence.” In 2011, OSI funded AI's publication of a report blaming the overrepresentation of blacks and Latinos in U.S. prison populations on “the failure of so many of our society’s institutions.” 



Soon after the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2009, AI developed a close working relationship with the U.S. State Department. Said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that year: “We can’t imagine a better partner than the Aspen Institute.”

II. Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET):

The Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) was conceived in January 2009, when Anatole Kaletsky -- a Times of London economics writer who opposes the “noninterventionist model of capitalism” and favors deficit spending and “stimulus packages” as bulwarks against economic depression -- discussed with George Soros “the unique opportunity to reshape economics in the wake of the financial crisis.” Eight months later, Soros assembled 25 economists, financiers, and journalists in Bedford, New York to brainstorm the idea. This “Bedford Summit” resulted in a “unanimous agreement that our economic paradigm must change,” and a “recognition of the importance of empowering the young generation of economists to rethink” the field of economics. Toward that end, INET was created as a nonprofit foundation in October 2009 with an initial $50 million pledge by Soros's Open Society Institute. Kaletsky became a member of INET's governing board.

Co-founding INET with Soros was Jim Balsillie, CEO of the Canadian telecommunications company Research in Motion. In 2010 Balsillie was appointed to the United Nations High-Level Panel on Global Sustainability, charged with addressing “the growing risk of dangerous climate change.”

At first blush, I thought that this was just too crazy to actually happen, or hold any truth.  That was about two & 1/2 years ago, when it really began to hit home.  Here is what really strikes me now, and I'm passing it along just for those who still cling to the idea that we still live in a sane and/or easily-recoverable universe;

The idea that the undocumented Chicago thug, who was put into place in the highest office in the land by other international elites bent on our wholesale destruction, is an idiot or incompetent, is COMPLETELY WRONG.

These oh-so-slight (sic) incremental changes in our policies and local regulations are just what Doctor Soetoro has ordered to infect the body of America with the incurable virus of Government Regulation, Control, and the implementation of Agenda 21 priorities.  As if we don't have enough problem with regulation and control already, with a Federal Behemoth grown exponentially larger than EVER Constitutionally authorized, the plethora of devastating regulations arising from this new "Jobs Bill", and the looming disaster of the Obamacare monster (among others) signal a shift in policies and priorities that will seal the lid of the coffin of free-enterprise and American Exceptionalism shut FOREVER.

Why would you strangle energy production, while at the same time MANDATE electric vehicles that would add to the strain of a crippled electrical grid?  STUPID?   NOOOOOO.  Agenda 21 Priorities---get people out of their vehicles and into "Sustainable Communities".  

Why would you implement policies that will dramatically increase the cost of food, water, housing....and cripple the economic engine that would allow them to sustain themselves and their families, unless they are dependent on the government?  STUPID?  NOOOO!!!!

To drive people out of their homes, and starve them, to promote "Sustainable Development."   Part of the Agenda 21 plan is to REDUCE the number of people on this planet.  By a few billion.  Sound crazy?  Read what some of Obosoetoro's "czars" have said, and written in years past.  Sunstein, Chu, Axelrod, Van Jones, the Weathermen...it really is a very long list. 

I really believe that this is probably the very last time that American History will be made, and recorded, because if we fail now, THERE WILL BE NO MORE AMERICAN HISTORY.  It will be just that, HISTORY, with no future to record.  

Just watching and listening to the rants of the anarchists among us, with their pathetic little marches on Wall Street, and the Union Thugs populating the White House with their Community Organizer, who owes them so much, it will indeed be a miracle if we even HAVE an election in 2012.

There is absolutely NOTHING these people are not capable of and willing to do.

We must hold to a better and more powerful standard, and keep the God of our fathers at our side and in our hearts, or we will die along with our nation and any hope we may have had for our progeny.

““For the past four years, pastors in Nashville and around the country have tried to pick a fight with the Internal Revenue Service.

The IRS has refused to fight back.

The pastors are challenging an IRS ban on endorsing candidates from the pulpit, which is based on rules that forbid nonprofits from taking part in political campaigns. Preachers say the ban violates their rights to free speech and freedom of religion.

“I don’t want anyone censoring what I say in the pulpit,” said the Rev. Henry Coles of World of Faith Christian Center in Nashville, with a congregation of about 400.

Coles is one of 475 preachers nationwide signed up for Pulpit Freedom Sunday this weekend, according to the Alliance Defense Fund, a Christian legal group based in Scottsdale, Ariz., that organized the event. Most will endorse candidates and then send their sermons to the IRS.

If the IRS investigates them, the Alliance Defense Fund will sue.

“The issue of whether the IRS can censor what a pastor says in the pulpit has never been tested in court,” said Erik Stanley, senior legal counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund.

Clergy should think twice before breaking the law, said Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

“Americans attend church for spiritual guidance, not to get a list of candidates to vote for on Election Day,” Lynn said in a statement.

The ban on nonprofit political endorsements dates to the 1950s. Lyndon B. Johnson was mad at nonprofits that opposed his re-election, so “he rammed these rules through to punish his opponents,” said Richard Hammar, editor ofChurch Law and Tax Report.

The IRS has not punished any pastors involved in Pulpit Freedom events. Hammar said both conservative and liberal churches often ignore the ban without consequences.

The Rev. Steve Hickey, pastor of Church at the Gate in Sioux Falls, S.D., is one of 100 preachers who took part in last year’s event. He believes that if a politician holds a position that conflicts with his faith, it’s his job as a preacher to point that out, no matter what the IRS says.

At least four pastors in Middle Tennessee participated last year. The Alliance Defense Fund declined to list who else in the Nashville area was participating this year.

Frank Sommerville, a Dallas-based attorney who advises nonprofits and churches, said the IRS has not investigated any churches since 2009, after a judge ruled that an investigation of a Minnesota megachurch was invalid. The agency must draft new procedures before launching any new church investigations, Sommerville said.

Even when those rules are in place, he doesn’t expect the IRS to tangle with the Alliance Defense Fund.

“The IRS is never going to be baited into a confrontation with a well-funded, well-lawyered organization,” he said.”

Not coincidently, the reports themselves have been produced by Brotherhood fronts like CAIR, and jihadist apologists like the Southern Poverty Law Center. But the latest and most elaborate Islamophobia report, transparently derivative of its predecessors, has been issued by the Center for American Progress, which is a brain trust of the Democratic party. It thus marks a disturbing development in this ugly campaign.

On examination, the term “Islamophobia” is designed to create a modern-day thought crime, while the campaign to suppress it is an effort to abolish the First Amendment where Islam is concerned. The purpose of the suffix — phobia— is to identify any concern about troubling Islamic institutions and actions as irrational, or worse as a dangerous bigotry that should itself be feared.

Is fear of terrorists inspired by Islam irrational? There have been 17,800 terrorist attacks carried out by Muslims in the name of Allah since 9/11. Is it unreasonable to be concerned that 30,000 shoulder-ready surface-to-air missiles have recently gone missing in the Muslim nation of Libya, where both government and rebels support the Islamic jihad against America and the West?

Would not a reasonable person be concerned about the attacks plotted and carried out by Muslims in the United States who claim to be inspired by the Koran and who regard themselves as holy warriors in the jihad declared by Osama bin Laden and other Muslim fanatics? These Muslim attacks include the successful massacre of unarmed American soldiers at Fort Hood by Nidal Hassan, a self-declared Muslim warrior whose anti-infidel rantings were ignored by the military brass.

These Muslim terrorists include Naser Abdo, the would-be second Fort Hood jihad mass murderer; and Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; and Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; and Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; and Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; and Naveed Haq, the jihad mass murderer at the Jewish Community Center in Seattle; and Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and Ahmed Ferhani and Mohamed Mamdouh, who hatched a jihad plot to blow up a Manhattan synagogue; and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; and many others.

If the FBI and law-enforcement agencies had not had serious fears of Muslim fanatics, had not been possessed by a species of “Islamophobia,” all those would-be terrorist attacks would be successful attacks and carry long lists of dead innocents — infidels — along with their names.

Should those of us who are infidels — and therefore targets — not be concerned by a religion whose followers regard this Koranic incitement as the word of God: “Slay the pagans wherever you find them.” (9:5)?

Should Jews not be concerned by the Jew-hatred that permeates the sacred texts of this religion, whose prophet has said: “The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them, until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him” (Sahih Muslim 6985)?

Should Jews not be concerned that this genocidal incitement is enshrined in the Hamas charter and defines the agenda of an armed force that is supported by dozens of Muslim states and many factions of the international left?

Should women not fear the expansion of a creed whose God likens a woman to a field men can till: “Your women are a field for you (to cultivate) so go to your field as ye will.” (Koran 2:223)? This God has decreed that a woman’s testimony is worth half that of a man (2:282), that men can marry up to four wives, and have sex with slave girls (4:3), that a son’s inheritance shall be twice the size of daughter’s (4:11), and that husbands can and should beat their disobedient wives: “Good women are obedient…. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” (4:34).This God sanctions marriage to pre-pubescent girls, stipulating that Islamic divorce procedures “shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated” (65:4). Islamic law codifies all this and adds from Islamic tradition justification for honor killing, female genital mutilation, and even the prohibition of women leaving their homes without permission from a male guardian.

Gays fare no better. As Sheikh Khalid Yasin, an Islamic preacher sponsored by the Muslim Students Association, said in 2005: “God is very straightforward about this — not we Muslims, not subjective, the Sharia is very clear about it, the punishment for homosexuality, bestiality or anything like that is death. We don’t make any excuses about that, it’s not our law — it’s the Koran.” Hossein Alizadeh of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission has said that in Iran gays live with “constant fear of execution and persecution and also social stigma associated with homosexuality.” This is true not only in Iran, but in all too many areas of the Islamic world. Is gays’ fear of Islamic institutions and governments irrational? Phobic?

Finally, there is the failure of any Muslim state or authority to condemn the calls of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah and Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for the extermination of America and Israel. The mainstream media constantly assumes that Muslims don’t take their words seriously, and that there exists a large population of moderate Muslims who reject the excesses of these violent leaders. Yet these moderates have maintained their silence in the face of the genocidal calls in the name of their God. They have failed to mount a campaign to condemn and counter the Jew-hatred expressed by their spiritual leaders, and broadcast by their government-sponsored media organizations, and taught in their schools.

What is truly irrational is not the fear of these very real threats, but the fear of those who point out these threats and whom the Muslim Brotherhood and its enablers have demonized as “Islamophobes.”

What is irrational is the failure to recognize danger when it stares you in the face, and the attempt to silence those who have the temerity to attempt to warn you before it is too late.”

“It was not just two mismanaged wars and trillions of dollars in misconceived and poorly supervised weapons contracts that drove Pentagon spending to unsustainable levels over the past decade — about $700 billion for last year alone. Military pay, benefit and retirement costs rose by more than 50 percent over the same decade (accounting for inflation). Leaving aside Afghanistan and Iraq, those costs now account for nearly $1 out of every $3 the Pentagon spends.

Much of that is necessary to recruit and retain a high-quality, all-volunteer military. The men and women who risk their lives to keep us secure deserve decent pay while they serve and ample benefits once they retire. But current military pay, pension systems and retiree health care benefits are unsustainable and ripe for reform.

President Obama has proposed two changes that would save $27 billion over 10 years: increasing co-payments for some prescription drugs for retirees and dependents of active-duty soldiers and charging a modest fee for policies supplementing Medicare coverage for retirees. That would still leave insurees paying substantially less than most other Americans.

Working-age military retirees also pay too little for basic family coverage. The current annual premium of $460 has not been increased since 1995. The Pentagon hopes to raise that to $520 for new enrollees once Congress approves financing bills for the new fiscal year that starts on Saturday. That is still barely a tenth of what federal civilian workers pay for comparable insurance.

Another $45 billion to $50 billion could be saved by adjusting the formula for pay increases to take account of special allowances and benefits worth about $5,000 a year.

The retirement system is both unfair and increasingly expensive. Most veterans, including many who have served multiple combat tours, will never qualify for even a partial military pension or retiree health benefits. These are only available to those who have served at least 20 years. Those who do qualify can start collecting their pensions as soon as they leave service, even if they are still in their late 30s, making for huge long-term costs.

Mr. Obama called for a commission to study possible reforms. But the change the Pentagon reportedly has in mind, phasing in a 401(k)-type plan for future retirees, is the wrong way to go. Military pensions should not be held hostage to stock market gyrations. Partial pensions should be made available to those serving less than 20 years. Payments should begin at normal retirement age.

The Pentagon needs to contribute at least $400 billion in 10-year budget savings if the Congressional deficit panel does reach an agreement by December and as much as $900 billion if it does not.

To find those savings, the Pentagon must also sharply prune the tens of billions it spends every year on building new versions of cold war weapons systems ill suited to America’s 21^st-century military needs: aircraft carriers, nuclear attack submarines, stealth destroyers and manned aerial combat fighters. The United States already has a comfortable margin of dominance in all these areas. The Pentagon’s ambitions expanded without limit over the Bush era, and Congress eagerly wrote the checks. The country cannot afford to continue this way, and national security doesn’t require it.

The White House and Congress must find the courage to proceed. Reforms of pay, benefits and pensions must be phased in fairly and commitments already made must be honored. But they, too, cannot be deferred any longer.”

But critics quickly added to the institution’s troubled image as the news spread by lambasting the half-baked scheme as “Orwellian” spying and “intimidation.”

The Fed’s “Request for Proposal” explains that the institution needs a platform to “monitor billions of conversations” and “identify and reach out to key bloggers and influencers.” Information collected will be used to measure the effectiveness of the central bank’s “public relations” and “communication strategies” — known in laymen’s terms as propaganda operations.   

“There is need for the Communications Group to be timely and proactively aware of the reactions and opinions expressed by the general public as it relates to the Federal Reserve and its actions on a variety of subjects,” the document states. News outlets, Facebook, Twitter, forums, blogs, YouTube, and other social media platforms will all be targeted.

“A system like this is not cheap,” noted The Economic Collapse Blog, which called the Fed’s plan a “very creepy” part of a disturbing trend. “What the ‘authorities’ want is for us to shut up, sit in our homes and act as if nothing wrong is happening. Meanwhile, they seem determined to watch us more closely than ever.”


The system being sought, which the Fed calls a “Sentiment Analysis And Social Media Monitoring Solution,” should be able to gauge the sentiment and tone expressed by the public. And it must be able to gather information from different countries and regions in multiple languages.

“The solution must provide real-time monitoring of relevant conversations,” the Fed demanded, saying it should also be able to offer summaries or overviews of public sentiment on a variety of topics. An “alerting mechanism” that automatically sends out notifications based on a “predefined trigger” must be incorporated in the system, too.

Other demands listed by the central bank include the ability to track the reach and spread of its propaganda, “handle crisis situations,” and identify emerging trends in Fed-related discussions online. The desired system would also be able to differentiate between “influencers versus followers,” and gauge the true impact of specific anti-Fed criticism beyond simply comparing online traffic data generated by a particular source.  



The financial analysis site ZeroHedge, apparently the first media outlet to uncover and expose the scheme, fiercely ridiculed the central bank and its tactics. But it also noted that “the Fed has just entered the counterespionage era and will be monitoring everything written about it anywhere in the world.”



The central bank, however, is not alone. Numerous critics of the plan have compared it to President Obama’s recently unveiled “Attack Watch,” a service for Americans to report negative statements about the administration or its policies. The citizen-snitching operation, as it has been dubbed, also prompted ridicule — but grave concern as well.

And as The New American reported in March, the U.S. military was exposed earlier this year seeking a tool that would allow a single government agent to operate multiple fake social-media characters simultaneously. The objective, similar to the Fed’s desired “solution,” is to monitor critics and influence public opinion through propaganda.  



Analysts said authorities’ growing interest in tracking and manipulating public sentiment expressed online is a sign that the alternative media is becoming increasingly powerful as the “mainstream media” continues to implode. Others said the efforts also appear to be desperate intimidation tactics aimed at quieting the growing wave of public outrage aimed at the Fed, the undeclared wars, and the Obama administration.

Fury over the privately owned central banking system and its policies — multi-trillion-dollar secret bailouts, mass manipulation of markets, wild money printing, resisting a government audit, and more — has been steadily rising for years. Official documents released in 2009 revealed that even the U.S. military was concerned about the growing “End the Fed” movement.

But according to analysts, it was becoming clear that the central bank and its owners were on the defensive well before news of the coming spying and propaganda operations made headlines. In mid-2009, for instance, the Fed was forced to hire a top lobbyist to defend the cartel’s interests on Capitol Hill.

Experts predict that as the economy and the U.S. dollar continue to tumble, anti-Fed outrage will only intensify. Recent revelations about the central bank’s secret bailouts of foreign firms have certainly not helped its already-poor public image — and analysts say the worse is yet to come.

Proposals and bids from potential suppliers of the secretive “solution” being sought by the Fed are due on September 23. It remains unclear how much the system may cost.

“A series of anti-Obama signs in New Orleans’ Uptown neighborhood have raised the ire of a local city councilwoman, who promises to exploit “whatever we can use” to have them removed. And former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has personally intervened to try to talk the homeowner, Timothy Reily, into squelching his freedom of speech.

Reily posted three placards expressing his displeasure with the president on his property at the corner of Calhoun and Coralie streets. One depicts Obama as a crybaby, complete with diaper, proclaiming, “It’s Not My Fault.” Rush Limbaugh recently read six pages of headlines featuring Obama blaming the sad state of national affairs on everything from the Arab spring to the Japanese tsunami.

Another portrays Obama in a dunce cap translating the economic maxims of “Obamics 101″ into plain English. It includes such phrases as “Progress=”Redistribution of Wealth” and “Stimulus=9.2 percent unemployment.”

A third states Obama is a puppet of George Soros. Last November, this author noted the Soros-funded Center for American Progress issued a paper encouraging Obama to rule by executive order the same day word leaked that George Soros told a meeting of the Democracy Alliance, “if this president can’t do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else.” Obama has since stepped up his use of executive powers and federal regulations.

The signs have incensed some in Reily’s neighborhood. Maya Rodriguez of WWL-TV reports some of Reily’s neighbors gathered outside his home and complained:

“He wouldn’t do that to [President] Bush, I’m sure. It’s just insulting. It’s insulting,” said C.C. Campbell-Rock. “He’s going to have to take them down.”

“This is nothing put pure racism,” said Raymond Rock. “This is a disgrace.”

Former Mayor Ray Nagin went into the home, apparently to pressure Reily to remove the signs, but thankfully came out empty-handed. (Reily’s refusal will not be remembered as Nagin’s most catastrophic failure.)

Incensed, the Left called out the boys in blue. WWL-TV reports City Council Member Susan Guidry called the police. Guidry, a Democrat who was elected in March 2010 with the endorsement of SEIU Local 21, said she would investigate any grounds that could be used to remove the sign, “perhaps the size of the sign, perhaps the way that it’s erected.” She told the press, “Whatever we can use, we will,” adding as an afterthought, “but of course, we do have to balance that with First Amendment rights.”

Of course.

The president has progressively intensified his war on any expression of disapproval. During the 2008 campaign, Sinclair Broadcasting reported that the Obama campaign pressured its stations not to air an ad tying Obama to Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers. He has established multiple ways for citizens to turn in anyone who speaks ill of his far-Left political agenda, from flag@whitehouse.gov to the new Attack Watch. He has engaged in a taxpayer-funded covert propaganda campaign, which Congressman Darrell Issa has said may be illegal, and which employs blogger Tracy Russo to respond to anti-Obama internet postings anonymously or under a pseudonym. Issa is investigating allegations that the Obama administration pressured Ford to pull an anti-stimulus ad from the airwaves and the internet.

Even signs posted on someone’s private property as an expression of the First Amendment are not beyond the reach of the Left’s duly elected thugs.

If the government cannot stifle free speech, it hopes acts of demonization and shame will, hence the empty allegations of “racism.” And no, surely no one would do that to George W. Bush.

Tuesday, I flew up to New York from Florida to appear on a Wednesday 7:15am segment on the Fox News channel's Fox & Friends. Typically, CNN & Fox send a car to drive me to a studio in Orlando. This was the first time I had to fly to New York to be “live” on the set.

Mary booked my hotel in Queens so I would be close to the airport. Fox would send a car to take me to their studio in the morning and back to my hotel afterward.

Remember that old Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis movie when his wife accompanied him to New York for a job interview and they became horribly lost? I got horribly lost in Queens trying to get to my hotel. I laughed at myself, after all these years, trying to morph into my old streets of Baltimore “don't-mess-with-me” body language.

It was around 7:30pm and the streets were mobbed with people going in all directions. Seeing me lugging my suitcase and computer bag over my shoulder, one of two urban attired black guys chatting stopped and asked, “Cab?”. Totally frustrated, I said, “Yes”. Insanely, I followed this stranger to a dark parking lot. He had an SUV. He delivered me to my hotel for 10 bucks. I gave him twenty. But, our encounter was divinely inspired. I scheduled him to drive me to the airport the next day after my Fox appearance.

This young black man was smart, a good guy and loaded with potential. We chatted about business, unemployment and other things around the fringes of politics. I never felt lead to tell him, “Obama sucks”.

The young black driver gave me a wonderful compliment. He said he had never driven anyone who talked and made him feel good the way I did. Thus, confirming I was exactly where God wanted me to be, doing what He wanted me to do; encouraging this young man and hopefully assisting in pointing him in the right direction.

When he dropped me off at the airport, I gave him a copy of my CD album, “American Tea Party”. Whenever I go to New York, I will give “my driver” a call.

On Fox & Friends, I was part of a three person panel discussion hosted by Gretchen Carlson, a very nice lady. The program producer emailed me the day before with a list of topics on the agenda for discussion; none of which were the continuing charges that the Tea Party is racist.

With the NAACP, CBC and black actor Morgan Freeman calling the Tea Party racist, I felt God's number one purpose for having me on national TV was to be a “black voice” defending the great people of our divinely inspired Tea Party movement.

During the break before our final segment, I asked Gretchen if she would give me an opportunity to address the racism charges against the Tea Party. Remarkably and graciously, Gretchen said, “yes”. It was a “God Thing”, thanks to all of your prayers.

I realize we are facing challenging times ahead. Obama will probably raise a billion dollars for his re-election campaign. Still, I believe we, the Tea Party, will overthrow his evil regime come November 2012. How? “If God be for us, who can be against us”.
