Is Obama Care Legal?

Taxes cannot be generated by the President,  the Senate or the Courts.   Far too many Americans lack understanding or our system of government and the mechanism to prevent erosion of our freedoms.  The most important step is that taxes must originate from the House of Representatives.  Similar to the House of Commons in England, The House Representatives was designed to be the voice of the people, while the Senate whose to be the voice of the individual States.  The constitutionality of taxation generated by the Senate of Obama Care has been ignored for political gain.  A friend of mine wrote this and I believe the merits of the questions raised is worth consideration, please read the following:

Thank You Nancy Pelosi and Stenny Hoyer

First, I must thank you, Stenny Hoyer, for your role in illegally passing the Affordable Care Act (affectionately called “Obamacare”), (Please see http://changingwind.org/index/comment.php?comment.news.121).

In the same way Americans do not appreciate the fact that one man, Harry Reid, can filibuster the 438 members of the House (fail to take up passed bills) and stop the flow of the entire U.S. Government, you sir, single-handedly decided to push Obamacare through the House, knowing full well the Senate version had revenue generating (taxation) provisions that the House had never reviewed... Or maybe you just took Nancy Pelosi's advice:

The best part of this comment is, “...away from the fog of the controversy.” This statement is the epitome of unconscionable action by government in representation as a menace over the people. The House and its Committees are the exercise of the fiduciary role of government representatives as our servants. It is a form of Treason to claim to have passed a law “away from the debate and debating floor,” particularly without having read it. A theatre of wordplay that said one single thing we remembered in 2010 and will remember even more strongly in 2012: “We Democrats have a super-majority and Obama won, our agenda is all we need to pass this bill, as there is no power in the opposition to bring any challenge to anything we want to do. So don't read the bill, just pass it and we'll foist this on the American People in our sworn duty to each other and a political party agenda. Let the courts decide legitimacy and rights issues, we're going to force through an illegitimate process that can be used from now until we destroy Individual Liberty.” This message is what many Americans heard loud and clear.

Yes, you sir, with the aid of Speaker Pelosi, were the key to the new unconscionable standard of bill passage while claiming “democracy” as our form of government and fallacious talking point statements were made about the grass roots movement known as the Tea Party. How does it feel Stenny Hoyer to be the sole person to assure Obamacare, as received from the Senate, was not properly reviewed by the House, are you proud of the fact you willfully failed to enforce those provisions of Our Written Constitution of 1789 designating exclusive power over revenue generation in the Peoples' House? Surely a destructive act to Our American Republic, but you sir, also, by this act, destroyed all semblance of any legitimacy in you or your party's claims of “Our Democracy.” I'll bet you even made sure to shake out the last drop on Our Constitution after urinating on it!

And of course, as already referenced, we arrive at Nancy Pelosi, the woman who made Stenny Hoyer famous as the deliberate denier of Constitutional Process in his former position as Majority Leader of a “Congress of the Unconscionable” by her own words as heard above. What could be more important to dictatorial government than the representatives of it voting on legislation they never read, never had a conscious knowledge of, only to have the courts, tell a Citizen brought up on charges under that law, “Ignorance of the law is no excuse!”? A certain act of Treason it is for our representatives to vote on laws they've never read.

Now that Obamacare is deemed “passed,” irrespective of it being nugatory by the process to the President's unconscionable signature failing to pass Constitutional Muster, in that 26 States are suing the Federal Government over the mandate in it, the DOJ is making the specious argument it “is a Constitutional Power under the Commerce Clause, and thereby a rightful tax.” In fact, Stenny Hoyer's failure to designate Obamacare a tax, according to record of how Obamacare was passed (House Rules establish this is out-of-order, and that this rule is done to enforce Article I, Section 7, Clause I), and thereby failing to cause the Ways and Means review required, is denial of the mandate having any authority or enforceability as a tax. Thus this failure by Stenny Hoyer to abide by Constitutional Process, denies any legitimacy to the claims made by the DOJ.

Thus, due to the unread, thereby undebated, and therefore undiscussed, Contraception mandate in Obamacare, 7 states today have taken up a new lawsuit over this Contraception mandate. I am going to reference this to a comedian, the late George Carlin. He would discuss, in his various routines on words, how so many are “institutionalization” from terms that have actual heartfelt meaning. For our example it's the actual heartfelt meaning of “religious liberty” that is being institutionalized into “contraception” through the coercive force of government (the Church acceptance of the “accommodation” would be to agree to this conversion). Carlin's example, to help comprehend your flagrant violation of our Individual Liberty, is “shell-shocked” became “post-traumatic stress disorder.” The former terms, in both cases, a state of reality entirely within the Individual's right and capacity to affect; the latter, a means of government encroachment through assuming legislative authority to define them as events subject to the jurisdiction of the ruling classes, the “ruling institutions,” within the boundaries of government's desire to be the dictator of definition and the protocols associated over all they define. This is so because there is little, if any, difference in governance, between Politicians or the American Medical Association, or whatever other guild/union that government gives a special interest and/or quasi-government authority to – the persistent expansion of government and its influence through bureaucratization with little if any accountability.

Further, this is why the House Rules were started by Thomas Jefferson in the first place, as they were rules to give means to enforce the provisions of the Constitution within the House as a body of the National Government, that both you, Nancy Pelosi and Stenny Hoyer, as the leadership of the House at the time, made every effort to violate and evade. It is clear you knew or should have known that the party in power, that you control, would not do anything about your indiscretions couched in “official capacity” as though a “hoodie-footie” of immunity for your actions in derogation of your Oath of Office to We The People. This renders the “passage” of Obamacare a consistent effort to marginalize the American People, a consistent failure to uphold your agreement to respect and Honor we who put you in a position of trust by your election to office. Our Powers are not yours so long as Our Written Constitution isn't amended by us to give them to you, no matter how much legislation or what number of bureaucracies you create.

Of course the $500,000,000,000 being stripped from Medicare, is a good thing to those of us who comprehend the limits of Article I, Section 8, the list of enumerated, and rightful powers to the exclusion of all General Powers, (see paragraph 5 here, http://www.bartleby.com/124/pres17.html). However, your bill, Obamacare, (once again remember it was “passed” while unread) depletes this Medicare money for the sole purpose of creating the appearance of budget neutrality, when in fact it divests seniors of what they've actually paid for and results in a redistribution of this money to include the 30+ million Americans added to the healthcare rolls, who are now, like all Americans, forced to buy healthcare irrespective of the illegal, unconstitutional, process of “passage,” of the Obamacare mandate. That “fog of controversy” in referencing the rightful debate floor of Congress, that Stenny Hoyer denied to the Ways & Means Committee as well, has ended up being a ruse to bypass Our Written Constitution. The purpose is to effectuate a Supreme Court decision after the fact, in abuse of the 3^rd branch of government their decision to be treated as an affirmation of Obamacare as a “law” and circumvent the fact it already is invalidated by the Constitution itself!

Article 6, Section 2, provides how the Constitution, without aid of the U.S. Supreme Court, invalidates all acts of every single branch of government, including the U.S. Supreme Court, when in violation of the exact language of the Constitution:

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States [said “Authority, being what is said prior to the semi-colon], shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.” -- Constitution For The United States of America, as ratified, 1789, http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/constitution_transcript.html

Thus the Constitution itself, by this self-executing clause, only recognizes those things in pursuance of the Constitution, following the limits of it, as having the legitimacy of “the consent of the governed,” as required by the Declaration of Independence in test of a government's legitimate authority. This is also the test of “good behavior,” the Constitution the means of testing the validity of all acts of government, those without deference to it, clearly not acts in good behavior by any government actor in their representative capacity of voluntary servitude.

So, I think it's high time to follow Our Written Constitution and believe in the Honor of the men who wanted to abolish slavery by 1808 through passage of the Constitution, and have a heavy heart over the fact they could not do so before that. Yes, this is part of Our Founders’ wisdom, which our government-funded indoctrination masquerading as education has ignored, particularly that Our Written Constitution should be Ours and Our Government’s guiding light to the certain truth of Obamacare as an absolutely heinous act of Treason against the Government. It is we who are the Sovereign Power of America. We are a nation entirely based on the Rule Of Law in self-Government. The Exceptional character of America, of Freedom and Individual Liberty is that our power and use of our property is exercised as we see fit and at our sole discretion and it is this Exceptional Character that vests in every American:

“THE SECOND class of powers, lodged in the general government, consists of those which regulate the intercourse with foreign nations, to wit: to make treaties; to send and receive ambassadors, other public ministers, and consuls; to define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas, and offenses against the law of nations; to regulate foreign commerce, including a power to prohibit, after the year 1808, the importation of slaves, and to lay an intermediate duty of ten dollars per head, as a discouragement to such importations....

“The regulation of foreign commerce, having fallen within several views which have been taken of this subject, has been too fully discussed to need additional proofs here of its being properly submitted to the federal administration. It were doubtless to be wished, that the power of prohibiting the importation of slaves had not been postponed until the year 1808, or rather that it had been suffered to have immediate operation. Thus it is clear to this American that violation of the Constitution is the means to continue slavery, in the same way violation of the Constitutional limit is where government effectuates a rebellion against the People, particularly when done in direct violation of fiduciary requirement imposed upon our representatives in government by their sworn Oath of Office, an Oath no less important than one taken by anyone in our armed forces and that our elected representatives should actually take more seriously.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice James Wilson, a signer of the Declaration and the Constitution, knew who the Sovereign is, how that's the most important principle to America, her people and Government, that this is Our unalienable Right to self-Government, an internal absolute power of the People alone:

“'Permit me to mention one great principle, the vital principle I may well call it, which diffuses animation and vigor through all the others. The principle I mean is this, that the supreme or sovereign power of the society resides in the citizens at large; and that, therefore, they always retain the right of abolishing, altering, or amending their constitution, at whatever time, and in whatever manner, they shall deem expedient.' -- James Wilson, Founding Father, Lectures on Law: Volume 1 Chapter 1 page 17.” -- as quoted from http://govote.avoiceofthepeople.com/

However, you Nancy Pelosi, Stenny Hoyer, Harry Reid, and of course the illustrious Dear Leader, President Barack Hussein Obama, set aside the meaning and intention of Our Founders of Freedom for all on this continent, for all of us of all ethnicities and beliefs to have the protection of Limited Government, to instead divide us, to use powers not granted to force us, coerce us, and divest us of all of our rightful property, including our Property In Rights, (see http://changingwind.org/index/comment.php?comment.news.96).

So it is with great pride over America and Our Founders, over our Military and their taking their Oath of Office seriously, that I thank you representatives and members of Progressive Government for having proven once again that your thirst for power knows no bounds, that to you We The People are merely a resource to be managed, a means of creation of special interests through your divisiveness as a tool to force Our American Republic to be a democracy in appearance, while in fact to facilitate the historically oppressive nature of centralized power and government; a truth that has been reinforced by Obama's Policies and rhetoric over the last 3 years. Hello my friends and fellow patriots!  Here is an example of state governments going hog wild.  With the problems in the economy, all they can think about is getting rid of woodstoves!  Can you say Agenda 21?  I was going to send this only to WA state groups, but I think it could affect more than WA state citizens overall.  So, if you or someone you know lives in Washington state, forward this to them so they can know what their elected employees are doing for them instead of fixing a bad economy. (Update, just received a message from my State Senator, Delvin, who said the bill in play here is still in the house, and they are trying to stop it.  Great!)

To the members of the Senate Rules Committee, and Mr Delvin, my state Senator, I am extremely opposed to the action before you, to prohibit the use of woodstoves in the state.  Thousands of families across the state use woodstoves for their main source of heat.  In fact, many of them use woodstoves as their ONLY source of heat.  Changes to section (b) which as I understand are, '(b) "Prohibit the use" or "prohibition" may include requiring disclosure, removal, rendering inoperable, providing evidence of destruction, or other similar requirements as may be approved by rule by a local air pollution control authority or other department.'  This is absolutely ludicrous, for starters.  As I said, thousands of homes have woodstoves.  Many have more than one.  The cost just to implement section (b) per house hold will be extraordinary.  Multiply that by the thousands of affected homes.  We're talking millions of dollars just to disable the woodstoves!  Then, the cost of installing a new source of heat, such as a heat pump or central heating will also be in the thousands per household.  Another few millions of dollars you will force taxpaying voters to spend money that they do not have presently.  THEN, once the obvious electrical system is installed, the cost of running the new system will also be exorbitant.  To be conservative, each month the new system will add approximately one to two hundred dollars to the electric bill.  $100-200 per month, times 4-5 months?  That will be anywhere from 400 to1000 dollars extra each winter that these households will have to pay to keep their homes warm.  So, you are planning to force Washington State, taxpaying, voting households to pay anywhere from 3 to 10 thousand dollars to replace their woodstoves, and from then on pay up to 1 thousand dollars more for electric heat per season.  Why?

Now, what about the businesses that will be affected?  I don't know how many fireplace businesses are located in Washington state, so let's be conservative again, and say 100 across the state.  If each one sells 10 fireplaces a year, at 1500 to 5000 dollars a piece, you are looking to prevent 100 businesses from selling 15 to 50 thousand dollars worth of product.  Again, multiply that figure by the number of businesses, you come up with 1.5 to 5 million dollars worth of small business sales.  And that's just the stoves themselves.  That doesn't include the smaller items such as bellows ($25-50 ea), wood racks ($10-30 ea), decorative mantle items ($20 up) Stove tool kits - poker, shovel, brush,etc. ($15-200 ea).  And fireplaces?  Chimney sweeps, cleaning devices, etc. can also reach in the tens of thousands of dollars of lost business as well!  You have the makings of destroying a business that has been in this state for a very long time that has potential sales of over 10 million dollars annually!  WHY????

So, you all are the elected employees sent to Olympia to do our business.  What is the most important issue our state and our nation faces today?  It sure isn't woodstoves!  It's the economy, right!  So, how can you look your constituents, your BOSSES in the face and say with a happy grin that you destroyed a business worth 1.5 to 5 million dollars, and forced your employers to spend 3 to 10 thousand dollars each to conform to your new rule, or freeze in the winter?  How can you do this and expect to have any future in politics?  Those in the house may have gotten this one over on us by not promoting the ability to provide testimony and discussion before they voted.  They did that at their political peril.  I recommend you think twice before we decide your political peril in November.

The inevitable takes place when you wander from the path of destiny, whether individually, socially, or the world. This was true in my life. I assume it is true in every individual’s life,  as well as socially, and worldwide—stated in the simplest of terms.

When we understand the subtle workings of the universe—how it develops its energy—we will know how it comes to us individually. This I know from personal experience.  The mistake we’ve made is looking externally for answers.

The same as any mechanism produces energy; each part with a special purpose, earthbound authority did not build the engine and does not know how it works.  God created each of us with a special purpose. We are the parts of the engine.  When authority attempts to take the place of God, the mechanism fails.  Father does not know best. Father is there to teach his children to do the best for themselves.  I got this idea from Jesus.

The thing we need to learn is that it is never ever trickle down. It is forever and always trickle up.  If all the parts of the engine are working properly it produces full power, efficiently and effectively.  Jesus said the meek shall inherit the earth.

The worst thing Obama  and Congress could do is to add more fuel to a malfunctioning engine.  The only thing we can do to get the engine of enterprise working property again it to do a general overhaul to find which parts are malfunctioning.    

As I read the Constitution, it says we were meant to be self-governed. When the Constitution was written, the man who built the best wagon was the man we hired to build our wagons. All working together, with almost no government, we, the people, got the engine of enterprise working efficiently and effectively.  

The people prospered. America grew in power. We  began to look to government to solve our problems.  The next thing you know, we were in the Great Depression, and looking to government for the cure.  How long is it going to take to know it is not trickle down?  The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.  At this rate, the meek will never inherit the earth.

The Constitution has the answer.  Your government is ignoring your Constitution.  Why are you looking to government for the cure? The cure is looking to the creator of the engine, learning what is needed, and making the repairs—before government kills  our coughing and wheezing engine, trying to get its power back by flooding it with excessive fuel.

■Led a Balanced Budget initiative with a Democrat President. AS A SPEAKER not an Executive Branch Leader and not in control of the Senate or Executive Branch. He balanced the budget 4 times creating the first SURPLUS in decades.
(Historic accomplishment by ay standard. Most politicians would have settled for that alone)

■$400 billion in debt was paid off during time as Speaker, although Gingrich agreed with Reagan on deal that ended up running deficits until 1988.

■Fought and defeated HillaryCare both in strategy, as well as political and legislative maneuvering.

■On third try got a Democratic President and Senate to initiate Welfare Reform that put 60% of recipients to work.

■Gingrich’s pro-life voting record is 98.6%, 70 out of 71 votes.

■Brought two partial birth abortion bills to Clinton that served as the model for what was passed under George W. Bush.

■He helped Reagan’s initiative to eliminate 12 of 94 programs and cut budgets of many others like the SBA more than 50%.
(Nancy Reagan said that Ronald Reagan passed the conservative torch to Newt, praised newt's conservative work and she has never said otherwise)

■He identified, recruited, campaigned for and helped organize over the biggest minority opposition swing getting 367 Congressional candidates to sign the Contract With America. This resulted in a NET GOP pickup of 52 seats in the House, 8 in the Senate and 11 Governorships. 

■Multiple conservatives congressmen got their political start including:Jon Kyl
Mike DeWine
Jim Inhofe
Fred Thompson
Bill Frist
Rick Santorum (who publicaly said he followed Newt's model for leadership and has since stabbed newt in the back)

■Contract With America – (1995 Description): “…represented the culmination of 30 years of creative conservative thinking dealing with the basic social and economic problems of modern America. The ideas provided the background for the widest range of legislative initiatives, certainly since the 1930s, and possibly at any time in American political history.” 

■Contract With America, summarized: The ten items in the Contract were all acted upon in the first 100 days of the new Congress, which is what the signatories had pledged. Nine of the ten items in the Contract passed the House: Only the constitutional amendment on term limits (which required a two-thirds vote) was defeated. Out of a total of 302 roll call votes on issues related to the Contract With America, the conservatives prevailed on 299 of them. A balanced budget amendment passed in the House by a 300-123 margin but was subsequently defeated as it fell one vote short of the two-thirds needed for passage in the U.S. Senate. The overall margin by which the items in the Contract were passed averaged about 70 percent despite the fact that the Republicans only held a 12-seat margin over the Democrats (52-48 percent, the smallest House majority margin in 40 years). Given the notorious lack of party discipline in the American Congress, the passage by a large majority of nearly all of the items in the Contract was a remarkable achievement. I can’t adequately cover all 10 initiatives and their profundity but they include:
* Congressional Reform including Congress being subject to the law they pass
* Balanced Budget with Line Item Veto (failed Senate, passed Veto but declared unconstitutional)
* Anti-crime package (truth in sentencing, more law enforcement help)
* Personal Responsibility (ultimately became Welfare Reform)
* Tax Package Including Child Tax Credit, Elimination of Marriage Penalty, Savings Account, Middle Class Tax Relief
* Disallow US Troops from serving under foreign authorities like the UN
* Frivolous Litigation vetoed by Clinton but tort reform override veto.
* Job Creation act included capital-gains cuts and indexation, neutral cost recovery, risk assessment/cost-benefit analysis, strengthening the Regulatory Flexibility Act and unfunded mandate reform to create jobs and raise worker wages.Other sections of the Contract include a proposed Family Reinforcement Act (tax incentives for adoption, strengthening the powers of parents in their children’s education, stronger child pornography laws, and elderly dependent care tax credit) and the Senior Citizens Fairness Act (raise the Social Security earnings limit, repeal the 1993 tax hikes on Social Security benefits and provide tax incentives for private long-term care insurance).

■He is the longest-serving teacher of the Joint War Fighting course for Major Generals at Air University and taught officers from all five services as an honorary Distinguished Visiting Scholar and Professor at the National Defense University. THIS MEANS NEWT TEACHES OUR GENERALS HOW TO FIGHT WARS. HOW'S THAT FOR A FUTURE COMMANDER IN CHIEF? No other president aside from a general has had anywhere near that experience and Santorum, Romney and Paul certainly don't come close. 

Newt is unique among all current individuals running for and/or holding political office.

Howdy all!  Another week begins.  Another round of presidential primaries and caucuses await us.  I am getting ready for the Washington Caucus on Saturday with everything a new PCO could need; a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream and a glass of homemade iced tea.  Ah, the luxuries of politics.

Has anyone alive ever heard the President of the United States say these words to anyone, let alone Congress?  ‘I am happy to say we have enough money to pay the bills.  So unless something bad happens, we don’t need anymore!!’  I WISH!!  Yet this is exactly what Washington said to Congress.  The usual State of the Union goes like this; our country is strong, except here, where we need more of something so we need to collect more money.  And we have more of a need over there, so here is my plan to collect even more money.  And thanks to the poor soul we sweet talked into sitting by the first lady so we could put them on the spot, as we ask for even more money.’  Oh yeah, can’t forget, ‘And our biggest salute to the fine brave men and women of our armed forces.  It’s because of their sacrifices that we are a stronger and safer nation, which will allow us to spend less on defense again this year.’  Once, just once I’d like to hear the top federally elected employee say we don’t need any more money this year.  I could put my hope into a man or woman like that.  Fortunately, there is someone I can put all of my hope and faith into.  And He IS our help and our shield.  We should all look to Him for guidance as we go to the primary polls and caucuses, looking for that next person to speak to Congress as Washington did.

THIS ONE PACKS A FIRM PUNCH

Written by a housewife in New Brunswick , to
her local newspaper. This is one ticked off lady...

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was
it or was it not, started by Islamic people who
brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001
and have continually threatened to do so since?

Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered
that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from
the capitol of the USA and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

Do you think I care about four U. S. Marines urinating on some dead Taliban insurgents?

And I'm supposed to care that a few Taliban were
claiming to be tortured by a justice system of a
nation they are fighting against in a brutal Insurgency.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle
East, start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief
of which, is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan .

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are
sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head, while Berg
screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called insurgents
in Afghanistan , come out and fight like men,
instead of disrespecting their own religion by
hiding in Mosques and behind women and children.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow
themselves up in search of Nirvana, care about the
innocent children within range of their suicide Bombs.

I'll care when the Canadian media stops pretending that
their freedom of Speech on stories, is more important than
the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting
at home, to hear about them when something happens.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a
CANADIAN soldier roughing up an Insurgent
terrorist to obtain information, know this:

I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the
head when he is told not to move because he
might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank:

I don't care. Shoot him again.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food, that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe, in your heart of hearts:

I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes
it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.'
Well, Jimmy Crack Corn you guessed it.

I don't care!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to
all your E-mail Friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to
the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete
button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't
complain when more atrocities committed by radical
Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add:

Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering, if
during their life on earth, they made a difference in
the world. But, the Soldiers don't have that problem.

We are happy to announce the return of the highly successful Legislature for Dummies series of classes.  These exciting classes will provide valuable information and training on how to operate within the state legislative system as a grassroots citizen lobbyist.  They are geared to all tea party, 9-12, and conservative activism groups and individuals who have an interest in working with and within our state legislature to ensure that "We the People" have a voice in the process.  This is a must have class if you intend on being active within the 107th General Assembly or if you just want a foundational understanding of how our state legislature operates and how legislation is crafted and becomes law. 

These classes are presented by former State Representative Susan Lynn and will include a workbook and other valuable resources.

We will be offering both the Legislation 101 and 102 classes on Saturday March 3^rd at the Embassy Center at 612 Due West Ave. in Madison TN.  The classes are $15.00 each.  The Legislature 101 class will begin at 8:30am and go until 10am.  The Legislature 102 class will begin at 10:30 and go until 12 noon.  If you had attended the 101 class in the past you can register for just the 102 class to complete the course.  We also have a package deal for both classes for $25.00.  To register for these classes please go HERE.

I wrote the White House yesterday, asking why President Obama did not approve of the gas pipelines from Canada and Alaska.  I stated it is the only way the USA can become untangeled from the mess we are in with Eastern oil having us in a strangle-hold.  I stated we have got to become self-sufficient. Coal is also a great resource we have that is not used to it's full potential.  I doubt that I will get any answer!!

VOTE REPUBLICAN AND BE SURE THAT WE STILL HAVE A GOD FEARING COUNTRY. AMEN.

Howdy all!  Another Sunday coming with the pundits claiming they have the big story of the day.  You know, one of the GOP candidates will make a gaffe, or throw a stone at another one, and they got it on tape!  Oh so clever those journalists (sic) are.  I can’t wait to hear those great questions.  You know, “How many chocolates did you really eat at that candy shoppe in New Hampshire?”; or this one is a good one, “How many of the letter ‘I’ are really in Mississippi?”

Bearing this in mind, and seeing that sectionalism has since arisen upon this same subject, is that warning a weapon in your hands against us, or in our hands against you?  Could Washington himself speak, would he cast the blame of that sectionalism upon us, who sustain his policy, or upon you who repudiate it?  We respect that warning of Washington, and we commend it to you, together with his example pointing to the right application of it.  But you say you are conservative – eminently conservative – while we are revolutionary, destructive, or something of the sort.  What is conservatism?  Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried?  We stick to, contend for, the identical old policy on the point in controversy which was adopted by our fathers who framed the Government under which we live; while you with one accord reject, and scout, and spit upon that old policy, and insist upon substituting something new.  Abraham Lincoln, Speech at New Haven Connecticut, March 6, 1860.

Ok, I had a little fun with pundits (or is that pun with fundits).  But when you read the quote from Lincoln you can see how eerily similar it is to today’s problems not only between democrats and republicans, but more closely to establishment republicans and conservatives like tea parties and 9/12 groups.  The conservative groups like the tea parties want to remain close to the structure laid down by the founders, yet the establishment wants to play by their own rules, which they seemingly find more lucrative.  And the democrats want the entire GOP structure to collapse, so they can do what they want with no interference.  This is not what the founding fathers envisioned.  Or is it?  Did they see political party infighting?  Absolutely they did!  They had it themselves.  So why wouldn’t it happen with their descendants?  And as in Lincoln’s speech, there was tremendous infighting then; over slavery.  Today, we have been experiencing the infighting and cross party fighting for a long time now.  And it’s over slavery – slavery of American citizens by the government.  We are forced to work hard for our pay.  But a major portion goes to the government.  The more we work, the more we make, and the more we have to give to the government.  And the present federally elected employee in charge keeps trying to find ways to take more.  It gets more ridiculous every day. 

So, what to do?  Well, we know by the writings of our founders that there was divine intervention during the development of our nation.  We know that throughout our nations’ history, we have been guided by His hand.  So, why should we look anywhere else for support?  We all have rights and responsibilities as citizens of America.  These rights have been given to us by our Creator, as so eloquently stated in the Declaration of Independence.  So, we must work together, with the establishment and the conservatives.  We need to focus on what the nations was founded on, and how.  We must count on Him.  We must put our hope in His word to save our nation.  And, since the Lord helps those who help themselves, we must take on the hard part.  Be involved, be vocal.  Do not be violent, but do not be silent.  Our nation does not belong to any one individual or group.  It belongs equally to us all; everyone, of every color, every creed, every increment of society, every section of every city, town, suburb, and rural free district. The tea party movement does not want to take over the nation.  We do not want to overthrow any part of any government entity.  What the tea party wants is to return the government structure back to what the founders designed, developed and passed down to us all.  Equal rights, equal justice, and equal freedom for all.  Martin Luther King summed it up the best, when he dreamed that one day his four little children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.  Exceptional words from an exceptional man.  These great, simple words of wisdom were spoken for his children.  Yet, they speak out to us all every day.  They speak to republicans, democrats, conservatives, liberals, libertarians, progressives, independents, OWS, Tea Party, EVERYONE!  Can we all just get it right?

Of course, you can believe him - he's our President.

This is being written specifically for Art Phillips & all the other men & women who have or are still protecting our freedoms. This is for the Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard & the Coast Guard. This is for their families & for those abroad or home. I offer my deepest admiration, respect, prayers & for some my condolences for their sacrifices. Not one of us who hasn't been there can even imagine what it really means to do this job. We don't know what it's like to leave family & friends behind, not know where you might end up. To try & eat or sleep out in the open in the cold, heat, dust & dirt. To have to do the simplest things while wearing all your gear. Hoping you get some sleep or get to eat without gunfire interrupting those few quiet moments. Not knowing how long you'll be gone or how soon you'll have to go back. What's going on with your family, not seeing them & missing out on living life with them. Will you go home in one piece, maybe missing a part of you or God forbid not come home at all. If this happens how will you & your family cope. Maybe losing a good buddy in a fire fight or by a IED. Feeling horrible about your loss, but feeling guilty too because you are alive. Wanting to go home but wondering if you'll be able to fit back in & have something to do. And in the end not really being able to let any of these things distract you, because it could mean yours or someone else's life. Think of the families too, Not knowing when a spouse will return & how. Having to say goodbye over & over. Raising the family alone not always having help, someone to talk with, someone who's in the same position. Not being able to share how hard it is for you when your spouse is home, because they don't need to be worried. For having to put a good face on things for the children even when you're worried sick or feel you can't do this alone another day. Just plain not being able to share life with the person you married to share life with. These spouse's have to be just as courageous, steadfast, strong & faithful. These men & women are courageous beyond belief, they should always have the support they need & they shouldn't have to even ask. Do a kindness for a soldier, vet or their family today & everyday if you can, even if it's just to thank them. And pray for them as much as possible so that all come home safe to their families & friends.
