The Demos’ Iran Midterm Alliance. Democrats have used the effort to denuclearize Iran and the resulting short-term gas price increase as fodder for the midterm election — creating a deadly political alliance with Iran!-Posted on The Patriot Post-By Mark Alexander, Publisher-On October 7, 2026:

I topped off my F-150 this week for $3.60/gal, versus $4.30/gal two weeks ago. That is well above the average of $2.75 a year ago, but it is going in the right direction. WTI crude is down to $89/barrel and was $62 a year ago.
That price differential is a temporary consequence of Donald Trump’s bold and long-overdue determination to destroy Iran’s near-term capability to create a nuclear weapon — something six previous administrations threatened to do but did not follow through. Predictably, that resulted in attacks on oil shipping lanes to the Arabian Sea, specifically Iran’s IRGC attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, and attacks by Iran-backed Houthis in key ports in the Red Sea — and higher fuel prices.
For the record, let me restate that oil was over $100/barrel for 308 days under Barack Obama, 0 days during Trump’s first term, 83 days under Joe Biden, and now 24 days during Trump’s second term. Oh, and adjusted for inflation, when oil was $115/barrel under Biden in 2022, that would be $130/barrel today. And when it was $110/barrel in 2011 under Obama, inflation-adjusted, that would be $163/barrel today.
If Democrats had not killed our domestic refining capabilities, our oil production would be booming.
Unfortunately, Trump has failed to make the case that neutralizing the nuclear threat from Iran is worth a temporary spike in fuel prices, the latter being all that concerns many Americans voters.
Thus, Democrats have disgracefully used the effort to denuclearize Iran and the resulting short-term gas price increase as fodder for the midterm election — creating a deadly political alliance with Iran.
Trump attempted to make the gas price case this week, declaring at a rally: “It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe. They can take out a city. Let them ... take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.”
To divert from Trump’s price versus risk comparison, Demos immediately claimed that Trump was suggesting Iran bomb Los Angeles and San Diego, a fake narrative then propagated by their Leftmedia echo chamber.
Fact is, Democrats know that the price of Liberty is high, and what Trump said is true. But their lies about gas prices and the economy are typical of their political “ends justify the means” strategy — and it is working.
As political commentator Betsy McCaughey notes: “Democrats are surging ahead in the polls, offering rhetoric about a ‘failed Republican economy.’ But the facts show that the first two years of Republican control have produced impressive economic gains, especially for minorities, women and workers on the bottom rungs of the economic ladder.”
To be clear, the Trump administration’s successful efforts to Make America Great Again after the Joe Biden debacle are remarkable. The economy is strong. At 2.4%, core inflation is the lowest in five years. In addition, income is up, poverty is down, and jobs are plentiful. Moreover, as Vice President JD Vance observed, “Last month, we hit one million new jobs created under the Trump administration — and unlike the last administration ... 100% of the new job growth over the past 18 months has gone to American citizens for a change.”
But Democrats and their Demo-media machine have seized on the price of gas for their BIG Lie about the economy, in order to hang all the Biden price pain across consumer markets on Trump. (You know, the same Demos who want to outlaw fossil fuels altogether...)
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) claims people are “drowning in Donald Trump’s failed economy,” insisting “they can’t thrive and can barely survive.”
Of course, the bulk of consumer price increases occurred under Biden, as McCaughey rightly observes: “Inflation for the 12 months ending August 2026 [averaged] 3% for all goods and services except energy. But in the first two years of the Biden administration, inflation had soared to 9%, and the Biden-era prices are still up there. Curbing inflation doesn’t lower prices, it just halts the increase.”
But most consumers/voters don’t make this connection, which is why American opinion on the economy has dropped to its lowest level since 2014, and Demos have played this lie so well that, astoundingly, voters have more confidence in Democrats to run the economy.
The Democrats’ strategy to blame Trump’s decision to neutralize Iran’s fissile weapon capabilities for high gas prices has created an unholy alliance with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and Democrat leaders are deafeningly silent about it because the alliance benefits their midterm prospects for retaking the House and Senate.
Yes, that is how indifferent they are willing to be in regard to the very real terrorist nuclear threat against our nation. Given their failure to demolish the threat, in fact enabling it, now you know why I refer to them as “Demos.”
We just passed the five-year anniversary of the disastrous and deadly Biden/Harris surrender and retreat from Afghanistan. As political observer Austin Bay notes: “That fiasco convinced IRGC fanatics America can’t even handle a withdrawal, much less a tough fight — at least an America led by leftist Democrats. ... Tehran believes regime change in Washington will allow the ayatollahs and their terrorist cults to survive ... and then get a nuclear weapon.”
And the result...
Political analyst Gary Bauer, former Chief Domestic Policy Advisor for Ronald Reagan, notes: “Democrats just landed a major endorsement — the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). That’s right. The terrorist group that slaughters Iranian civilians in the streets and has murdered many American soldiers is pleading with the American people to vote against Republican candidates this November.”
Bauer writes:
“It makes perfect sense. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards remember that it was Democrat President Barack Obama who gave them a sweetheart deal that nearly allowed them to become a nuclear power. It’s the Democrats who want to open our borders once again and allow more mass migration from Third World Muslim nations. It’s the Democrats who have abandoned our ally, Israel. The mullahs know that Democrats like Michigan’s Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed will be in the U.S. Senate pushing legislation that is pro-Islam and anti-Israel. It’s the Democrats who are promising to cut off funds for our troops in harm’s way right now. By the way, if Democrats succeeded in forcing an immediate end to the war, that would mean surrendering the Strait of Hormuz to Iran. The IRGC loves that idea, but it would only make your pain at the pump much, much worse.”
In fact, Iran’s IRGC published a 25-page propaganda letter to American voters urging them to oppose Trump and Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections.
It reads just like Demo midterm talking points!
The letter declared: “Americans need to wake up. Now is the time, as the American political system is at its weakest. America’s national security and the lives of its service members are entrusted to someone who is not only an inveterate liar but is also an insanely avaricious man whose only motivation in life is the accumulation of greater wealth. The US economy is on the precipice of collapse, and yet he keeps on telling Americans that the economy is booming and the prices will soon start coming down. ... Soon, the dam will break, and the economy will implode, causing, unfortunately, great pain for Americans for many many years.”
Yeah, Demo talking points.
Of such propaganda, Bauer concludes:
“Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, Nancy Pelosi, El-Sayed and every Democrat candidate should rush to the nearest microphone and publicly reject the endorsement of Iranian extremists. They should say, “We spit in the faces of these brutal thugs. We condemn them and their endorsement.” Democrats should make it clear that they do not want the support of bloodthirsty Islamic fanatics who chant “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” That’s what should happen today, but it won’t. Democrat leaders know that Islamists in places like Chicago, Dallas, Dearborn, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York City are a large and growing part of their party’s radical base.”
Meanwhile, the Islamist threat is still a clear and present danger.

ADEN, Yemen — Forces of the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen have recaptured several key areas around the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait from Iran-backed Houthi rebels, Yemeni officials said Monday, while the Houthis claimed attacks on Saudi oil facilities, airports and military bases as fighting escalated on Yemen’s western coast.
The Yemeni officials said forces allied with the internationally recognized government retook the crucial town of Dhubab just north of the strait, a vital shipping route that connects the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden.
They also captured the towns of Bab and Hadeid, said the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to reporters. Witnesses said they saw government tanks and forces entering the towns.
The government push came as part of a major offensive launched early Monday under air cover by a Saudi military coalition.
Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, the Houthis’ military spokesman, claimed in a pre-recorded statement that the rebels used ballistic and cruise missiles and drones in attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and an oil refinery in the Red Sea city of Rabigh.
Also attacked were Abha airport, military facilities in Khamis Mushait and other “critical sites” in the cities of Najran and Jizan, he claimed.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters that it was expected that the Saudi-backed government would hit back at the rebels to reclaim territory. Asked if the coalition coordinated the action with the United States, Rubio said that Saudi Arabia and the U.S. have a defense agreement but wouldn’t offer more details.
Since the Yemeni government was ousted from some of its territory by the Houthis and the Saudis have come under attack, “they have a right to defend themselves,” Rubio said.
U.S. Embassy in Riyadh warns of possible attacks
The U.S. has provided support to Saudi Arabia in its ongoing campaign against the Houthis, according to a regional official and a U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak to reporters. The support included intelligence sharing, target identification and planning for the offensive, said the officials.
The U.S. had supported the Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthis early in the Yemen war, before quitting the coalition in recent years.
The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh warned U.S. citizens on social media to be vigilant about possible drone or missile attacks.
The offensive came just after the rebels said they had captured more territory in the southwestern part of Yemen, taking a key town in a blow to the Saudi-backed forces as they advanced toward a strategic provincial capital in the region.
The Saudi-led coalition spokesman, Maj. Gen. Turki al-Malki, said 100 fighter jets were providing support to government forces. He said the coalition secured “air protection” of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and destroyed hundreds of Houthi targets.
Pakistan and Turkey say they will deploy forces to Saudi Arabia
Also on Monday, the foreign and defense ministers of Pakistan and Turkey agreed with Saudi Arabia to deploy military forces to the kingdom under their defense pact.
A joint statement released by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry after an emergency meeting in Riyadh did not specify troop numbers, identify which countries would contribute forces or give a deployment timetable.
The three countries condemned what they described as attempted attacks on Mecca and Medina, as well as continuing attacks on Saudi cities and civilian and economic facilities. The statement did not identify who was responsible.
The air campaign follows the fall of a key town in Yemen
The escalation between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis has revived Yemen’s civil war after a four-year ceasefire.
Houthis seized the town of Turbah on Sunday. Turbah sits on a main road linking the provincial capital of Taiz with the port city of Aden, which serves as an interim seat of Yemen’s government. Over the years, the town was a major post for government forces defending Taiz.
Earlier, the Houthis seized several villages and areas on Taiz’s outskirts, paving the way for the rebels to encircle Taiz, Yemen’s third-largest city.
Yemen’s flare-up shows the capabilities of the Iran-backed rebels
The Houthis made a swift push on the country’s western coast on the Red Sea in early September. They captured the strategic city of Mokha and several Red Sea islands, gains that enabled them to control the Yemeni side of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, through which 12% of global trade transits.
The Saudi-backed government said Sunday it was mobilizing troops across government-held areas.
Rashad al-Alimi, head of the ruling Presidential Leadership Council, said in a televised speech that the operations were aiming at “recovering the remaining territories” controlled by the Houthis. He called on the international community to provide support to his government.
Hours after al-Alimi’s declaration, the Saudi military spokesperson al-Malki vowed “full operational support” to Yemeni government forces until the Houthis are “eliminated.”
Saudi-backed government forces are trying to fight back
Al-Alimi said in a post on X on Monday that the operation - dubbed “Yemen Dawn” - had started with the aim of “restoring state institutions, liberating” Sanaa, Yemen’s rebel-controlled capital, and ending “the Houthi terrorist militia coup.”
Al-Nazili said government forces were carrying out a “strategic offensive” on Sanaa. The Houthi media office reported multiple airstrikes on their territories, including Sanaa.
The rebels’ taking of Turbah will likely constrain government forces’ ability to reinforce and resupply front-line positions across Taiz province and the provincial capital of Taiz, according to the Institute for the Study of War, a Washington-based think tank.
The escalation has revived Yemen’s 12-year civil war
Yemen’s civil war began in 2014 when the Houthis descended from their northern stronghold, capturing Sanaa and forcing the government to flee into exile in Saudi Arabia. The war created one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters and killed more than 150,000 people.
The latest bout of violence has killed at least 959 people and wounded over 4,200 others, according to the World Health Organization. The flare-up forced about 174,097 people to flee their homes inside Yemen, according to the U.N. migration agency. More than 3,000 others fled across the waters into Djibouti, the agency reported.
Last week, Yemen’s health ministry - part of the internationally recognized government - warned about the conflict’s impact on health facilities and medical staff across Taiz province. The ministry said in a statement on Friday that health facilities in coastal, western and southern areas of the province have closed or are barely partially functioning.

In late September, Tehran’s Houthi proxies in Yemen fired a ballistic missile at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and cruise missiles and drones aimed at an Aramco oil facility in Yanbu. President Trump and our allies are still deciding whether the U.S. will take action against the group.
On Sept. 3, the Iranian regime fired missiles and drones at American bases in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. The Houthis seized the port of Mokha and the island of Perim at the mouth of the Red Sea, the group’s biggest territorial gains in years.
As we approach the third anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, the Israeli hostages are home, but the regime that armed and trained their captors is still shooting.
The Iranian regime is weaker than at any other point since 1979, but it still poses a threat to American troops and our allies.
Just like a wounded predator in the wild, a depleted Iran is the most dangerous kind of adversary. For 47 years, this regime has treated every ceasefire, pause and negotiation as time to prepare for the next round — and Hamas is the proof.
In July, Hamas agreed to a disarmament deal that gives it up to 250 days to hand over its weapons. Then Ghazi Hamad, a Hamas negotiator, declared that the group “will not implement any step” until Israel moves first.
That is not surrender. That is Tehran’s playbook being deployed in the Gaza Strip while the world congratulates itself on a “mission accomplished.”
On Jan. 26, Israeli soldiers recovered from northern Gaza the body of Ran (Rani) Gvili, a 24-year-old officer in the elite Yasam counterterrorism unit who was murdered on Oct. 7, 2023. He was the last of the 251 people Hamas dragged across the border to come home. Eighty-five returned in caskets. The hostage crisis lasted 843 days.
I know this regime in a way that no anniversary statement can capture. I was 6 when my family fled the Islamic Revolution, smuggled through the desert under burlap sacks while Iranian border police fired at us. The men who stole my homeland are the same men who armed the killers of Oct. 7.
The State Department’s report put it plainly: Iran’s “long-standing material, financial, and training support to Hamas enabled Hamas to execute the attack.” Hamas held the hostages while Tehran held the leash.
It was fitting that the war Hamas started arrived at the ayatollah’s door. On Feb. 28, U.S. and Israeli forces launched Operation Epic Fury, and within a day, Iran’s state media confirmed that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had ruled my birth country for nearly 37 years, was dead.
Mr. Trump told the Iranian people, “When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take.”
Then the ceasefire came, and the regime did what it does every time the world pauses: It regrouped, rearmed and prepared for the next round. Mojtaba Khamenei now sits in his father’s chair, and last month, cells directed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps struck a power plant in the UAE and Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline.
The 60-day negotiating window to which Washington agreed in June expired in August with nothing to show for it. In Lebanon, Israeli troops spent months besieging a Hezbollah tunnel complex beneath the Ali al-Taher ridge.
Inside Iran, according to Amnesty International, at least 52 people have been executed on political charges this year, a wave that accelerated after the start of Epic Fury.
The war is not a fight over Gaza. It is a campaign to dismantle every arm of Iran’s terror apparatus. The enemies are clear and present: Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, militias in Iraq and the IRGC cells targeting the Persian Gulf.
Each of these tentacles must be severed.
Finishing the job means ending the Iranian regime, not a “new phase” or a tollbooth deal on the Strait of Hormuz that leaves the IRGC collecting rent on the world’s oil. It means holding Baghdad to its Sept. 30 deadline to dissolve the Iran-backed militias; giving Riyadh the green light to break the Houthis on the Red Sea; hunting down the IRGC cells firing on our Gulf partners; and telling the Iranian people, who buried an estimated 36,000 of their own, according to opposition-affiliated Iran International, after the January uprising, that America will not abandon them.
The Iranian people are the regime’s first hostages, held for 47 years. My family escaped, but most others never got the chance.
Three years ago, the world learned what Tehran’s proxies do when given free rein. American intervention in the negotiation process brought Israel’s hostages home, and we must finish the job so that no one ever has to count the days again.

U.S.-Iran diplomacy showed signs of continuing at a steady pace Tuesday as mediators in Qatar exchanged proposals with Tehran’s interior minister in Doha, while the wider war rippled across Britain, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
Ibrahim bin Sultan Ibrahim Al Hashmi, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Qatar, confirmed to reporters that his government is continuing to ferry diplomatic messages between Iran and the U.S.
Iran’s Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, who met with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday, said that he communicated a message from Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and that the emir conveyed the most recent proposal. He said the talks were constructive and that he will communicate the latest message to Tehran.
He declined to say what was in the latest proposals from Iran or the U.S.
The meeting is the latest by mediators to end the U.S.-Iran war, which is now well into its eighth month.
Over the past few months, Pakistani and Qatari mediators have tried to broker a permanent end to the war that would return the region to relative peace and restart nuclear talks between Washington and Tehran, which were ongoing when Mr. Trump began the war.
The subject of current diplomatic talks centers mostly around the future of Iran’s nuclear program and control over the Strait of Hormuz, which Tehran has kept effectively closed since March.
Tehran has insisted that it will retain at least some control over traffic in the narrow waterway in perpetuity, while Washington has demanded that the strait return to its status as international waters with no tolls or fees charged on commercial vessels.
In previous negotiations, Iran has signaled that it is willing to end its wide blockade on the strait in exchange for sanctions relief.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said last month that he had delivered a peace proposal that would have instituted a ceasefire, reopened the Strait of Hormuz in seven days and paved the way for further technical talks. That proposal was publicly rejected by President Trump.
The U.S. has maintained a comprehensive naval blockade of Iran for months that it says has halted the regime’s ability to export its oil, one of Tehran’s most important revenue sources. The U.S. military has also, in recent weeks, conducted escort missions in the strait to improve traffic flow.
Reports on Tuesday indicated that commercial traffic in the waterway is approaching 80% of pre-war levels as ships move through Omani waters near the south of the strait.
Mr. Trump and other administration officials say the increase in traffic in the strait has eroded Iran’s leverage over the waterway and that Tehran will need to offer up more concessions to finalize a deal.
Still, with Iran’s oil stranded mostly in tankers in the Persian Gulf, international oil prices and domestic gas prices have remained high. Brent crude oil sat at approximately $100 a barrel on Tuesday and the average price for a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. stood at $4.37.
Signs of diplomatic progress come as the war’s impact continues to reverberate far beyond Iran’s borders.
Iran-backed Houthi fighters in Yemen launched airstrikes on airports in Jazan and Najran in southern Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, leading to serious property damage and injuring three, according to Saudi aviation officials.
The attacks were followed by an intense assault on Houthi positions in western Yemen by Saudi-led coalition forces. The assault was intended to push the rebels out of many of the areas they had secured late last month, especially those near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
British counterterrorism authorities on Tuesday apprehended a 22-year-old man in London in connection with the suspected terror attack on RAF Fairford last month.
Police said the man, who was not identified, was arrested in Westminster and that officers conducted a search of a nearby property.
The man remains in custody, according to authorities, though it’s unclear if he has been charged.
Police late last month arrested five men near RAF Fairford who were spotted by locals wearing masks and moving in and out of large white vans. Authorities found no explosives in the vans but found gasoline, an accelerant, and all men were released on bail just 24 hours later.
British authorities say the investigation is ongoing and that all of the suspects who have been released are under heavy surveillance and movement restrictions.
The U.S. has used RAF Fairford to stage long-range bombing raids against Iran for months, and Iranian security officials have said that any base used to launch attacks would be considered a legitimate target.
The threat of further attacks at the base was enough for the Pentagon to order the redeployment of its B-1 Air Force bombers over the weekend. All 12 aircraft were recalled to their home bases in the U.S.
Vice President J.D. Vance said Monday that the planes were moved “out of an abundance of caution” to protect U.S. service members.
