I made an investigative trip to Michigan, where I went on-site to inspect the heart of the growing political and ideological movement known as the “Red-Green Alliance.” You can read my report, complete with photos, here.
During this trip, I visited the campaign headquarters of Abdul El-Sayed in Detroit, Michigan, as well as the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan. What I uncovered on the ground underscores the urgency of our mission at America’s Survival, Inc.
Since our founding, we have been opposed to global Islam and international communism. That is why we were targeted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Southern Poverty Law Center, and then deplatformed by Google’s YouTube under the Biden regime. I was literally “escorted” out of a Workers World Party conference in New York City.
If elected in November 2026, Abdul El-Sayed would become the first Muslim member ever to serve in the U.S. Senate. His political campaign, centered at his Detroit HQ, is heavily backed by radical far-left politicians and national organizations:
- U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, Vice President Kamala Harris, U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Hon. Andy Levin, Hon. David Bonior, United Auto Workers, Michigan AFL-CIO, Michigan Education Association, AFT Michigan, National Nurses United, Working Families Party, MoveOn, Indivisible, and over 300 other elected officials and organizations.
This alliance between radical leftist politics and Islamic political agendas is not accidental—it represents a deliberate convergence of interests aimed at reshaping American governance.
The connection between communist networks and radical Islam goes back over a century.
- Lenin’s Initial Strategy: As early as December 1917, Vladimir Lenin addressed his second post-revolution message to the “Toiling Muslims of Russia and East,” viewing them as a vital reservoir for the world communist revolution.
- KGB Connections: As documented in our America’s Survival, Inc. publication, Made in Moscow Terrorism: Communists and Muslims: The Hidden Hand of the KGB by former KGB officer Konstantin Preobrazhensky, Soviet intelligence deliberately cultivated ties across the Islamic world.
- Soviet Ties to Iranian Leadership: Historical reporting shows that key figures of the Iranian Revolution maintained significant KGB and Soviet-bloc ties, including one Ayatollah having studied at Patrice Lumumba University.
Today, we see this coalition playing out locally in places like Dearborn, Michigan—where local authorities have faced lawsuits over First Amendment violations, spending municipal funds to promote religious displays while targeting Christian citizens and ministers exercising their constitutional rights.

Consider that back in 2012, we held a conference, “The Vetting: Obama, Radical Islam and the Soros Connection.”
During my visit I encountered many friendly Muslims. I purchased a copy of the Quran at a local gift shop and the female clerk outfitted in a hijab was happy to share information about the “Twelvers.”
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani identifies as a Shia Muslim associated with the “Twelver” movement of apocalyptic Muslims that constitute the state religion of Iran.
Inside the mosque, I was alarmed to see a picture on a wall of Ayatollah Khomeini on a 1982 Time cover story about “Iran on the March.”
It is noteworthy that, shortly after his successor, the Ayatollah Khamenei’s death during the U.S.-Iran conflict, candidate Abdul El-Sayed said there were “a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad.”
The first Ayatollah, Khomeini, had said in 1979 after taking power in Iran, “We are in a war situation, an economic war which is in itself a struggle between Islam and blasphemy.” Those comments were featured in a Washington Post story headlined, “Khomeini Sees Possibility of War with U.S.”
It has come to pass.
In Iran, Trump has acted to save Western civilization from a Nazi-style regime in religious garb pursuing nuclear weapons that could kill millions of Americans. The war on the Islamic Republic of Iran constitutes justice on behalf of the victims of Iran, including the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine Barracks in Lebanon which killed 241 American military personnel, at least 600 American soldiers murdered in the Middle East and nearly 900 wounded.
But many have turned on Trump, mostly because of high gas prices.
By contrast, as demonstrated in numerous exhibits at the World War II American Experience Museum in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, the American people in that World War rallied as they encountered gas and food rationing, built victory gardens, and gathered up scrap metal for the war effort. Americans learned to ration foods like sugar, coffee, cheese, and meats. A “victory speed limit” of 35 miles an hour was established to conserve gasoline and rubber tires. Toy companies were converted to making war material.
The United States suffered approximately 1,078,594 total military casualties during World War II, which lasted six years: 407,316 total U.S military deaths and wounded in action estimated at 671,278. By contrast, the Iran War, (Operation Epic Fury), which began on February 28, 2026, by September 20 had resulted in 18 deaths and 820 to 830 + U.S. service members officially reported wounded.
President Trump inherited a Russian war on Ukraine, a Taliban terrorist takeover of Afghanistan, Iranian progress toward nuclear weapons, and Red Chinese threats against the Republic of China on Taiwan, while security experts warned there were “sleeper cells” of foreign fighters inside the U.S., and that the number could be in the tens of thousands, or more.
Headlines over the last few days, regarding an attempted Jihadist suicide mission using an airplane, and an Iranian-sponsored plot targeting a U.S. military base in Britain, demonstrate that the Iranian war against America and Israel has escalated.
But they are desperate for a victory at the ballot box in November. The Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has gone so far as to issue a letter to the American people, specifically scholars, students, and journalists, demanding a vote against President Trump and the Republicans.
Whose side are you on?

One fitting response to Iran’s unseemly and interminable 26-page open letter Tuesday to the American people, calling on them to vote for Democrats in November, would be to paraphrase Queen Gertrude in Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”
Gertrude’s response to the insincere overacting of one of the characters in a play within the play: “Thou dost protest too much, methinks.”
Tehran’s lengthy and implausibly decorous letter has the stench of a desperate about-face to it, coming as it does from a regime that for the past 47 years has chanted “Death to America.”
It is not at all clear who exactly among the American electorate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps thinks will actually read the letter in its entirety, much less be persuaded by it to vote against President Trump’s congressional Republican allies, in Tehran’s hopes of preserving its Islamist theocratic dictatorship.
The English-language version of Iran’s “Open Letter to the Honorable People of the United States of America” calls on Americans to vote for Democrats in November and to give up fighting the mullahs because the fight has, for all practical purposes, already been lost.
“Now, nearly seven months into this unjust war, the U.S. military — the largest and costliest military in the history of the world — has scored no wins,” the letter asserts.
“Although American politicians often win your votes through deception and false promises, as Mr. Trump did, you can change the makeup of the government,” Tehran further states. “Remove from power the evil, deceitful, and violent politicians who are responsible for America’s current state.”
If that is the sort of claptrap the English-language version is peddling, there is no telling what Tehran is saying in a Farsi or Arabic version.
With Iran’s navy and air force decimated (literally and figuratively) and unable to export its oil, the regime’s only real source of income to prop it up, because of a U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Tehran is, from all indications, teetering on the brink of economic collapse.
As such, the open letter is little more than a Hail Mary — or, in this case, Hail Allah — pass.
After all, the likes of far-left influencer Hasan “America deserved 9/11” Piker and his radical ilk hardly need to be persuaded that the mullahs and ayatollahs are on the side of the angels and the Trump administration is the devil.
It is also somewhat akin to preaching to the choir when, disturbingly, there are Democrats in the House and in the Senate who have pejoratively described Mr. Trump’s bid to denuclearize and defang the fanatical Iranian regime as a “war of choice.” They include House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York and various other House Democrats, as well as at least a dozen far-left senators.
Disgracefully, Democrats afflicted with Trump derangement syndrome have gone so far as to declare the war has already been lost and agree that Iran has won, evidence to the contrary notwithstanding. (That is shamefully reminiscent of how the pro-communist left in America gave aid and comfort to Hanoi in the 1970s, which only prolonged the Vietnam War. It is Democrat deja vu all over again.)
It is unclear, however, how much impact the IRGC’s massive missive will have. Even if Democrats win congressional majorities in January, Mr. Trump will remain president and commander in chief for two more years. It is doubtful that Iran can hold out until January 2029, when it hopes a weak-kneed Democrat might move into the White House.
Unlike the yearslong “Russia, Russia, Russia” election interference hoax perpetrated by Democrats against Mr. Trump in the 2016 and 2020 election cycles, Iran is openly, albeit ham-handedly, attempting to influence the outcome of the 2026 elections.
It is the equivalent of a political endorsement from Lizzie Borden in a burqa or Ted “the Unabomber” Kaczynski, and it will be interesting to watch how all this plays out over the remaining four-plus weeks of the midterm campaign season.
Although no Democrats running for the House or Senate — not even Muslim radicals such as Rep. Rashida Tlaib or Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, both of Michigan — are likely to openly welcome, much less tout, Tehran’s partisan endorsement, how loudly will they repudiate it and how far will they distance themselves from it?
Just as tellingly, will Republicans (and their overpaid and underachieving consultants) make full political hay of this unexpected gift they have been handed? Stay tuned.

President Donald Trump defended his military offensive against the Iranian regime during an interview with Time that was published on Thursday.
The war has gone on for seven months and has raised speculation as to how and when it might end.
“You initially said that the war would take about six to eight weeks,” the interviewer said. “We're now entering the seventh month. Can you just explain, like, why is it taking so long?”
Trump replied, saying it was “Only because I wanted to go further.”
“I took them out. I could have stopped then, but I wanted to go further. I didn't want them—because I met my timeline. If you look at what I did when we bombed the sites with a B2 bomber. Like we bombed those sites, and I call it nuclear dust—was under 1000s of tons of rubble. I could have stopped there, and I felt it was just inappropriate because—and they were itching to go on with their lives, if not there, someplace else. And so I went further. They're doing very poorly. Their economy is gone. Their inflation is at 300% or something like that. Their navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Everything's gone, and they want to make a deal, but I want to make the real deal.”
The interviewer asked whether the American public misunderstood Trump’s timeline. “I feel like most people heard you say four to six weeks,” he said.

“No, I think the press fed it to them, so that—look, we were in Vietnam for 21, 20, years,” Trump replied. “We were in Afghanistan for many years. We were in Korea for many. We're everywhere for many years. I'm in there now for six months, and I've destroyed their nuclear capability.”
When asked whether Trump would follow through on his threat to annihilate Iran, he answered, “Yeah, I would do that. It’s possible.”
The interviewer pressed, asking how the president of peace could call for “the annihilation of an entire people.”
“Because by annihilating Iran, we've created peace in the world,” Trump said. “With Iran, I don't think you could ever have peace.”
The conversation turned to a Defense Department report about munitions shortages.
“I would say it was mostly fake news,” Trump said.
However, the president acknowledged that “Some forms of ammunition are a little bit lower than other forms.” and explained, “We have that middle grade and upper middle grade, which is very powerful, which is stronger than it’s ever been before.”
“There is ammunition that President Zelensky wouldn't take, but it's very powerful ammunition. He wouldn't take because he didn't have airplanes and things that you need for that ammunition. So what happened is that story started arriving. So now we have Raytheon. We have all of them. They're going. They're building plants all over the country, and they're doing a lot. They're working 24/7, and we're stocking up at levels we've never done before.”

Movement through the Strait of Hormuz has remained severely restricted even as vessels are transporting their cargo around Iran’s forces. Oil and petroleum products flowing through the strait averaged about 13.1 million barrels per day last week. This represents just under 80 percent of the 17.1 million that moved through the waterway before the war.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s Sept. 24 speech to the United Nations did not mention Iran’s history of terrorism, the thousands of innocent victims it has killed or the thousands of its own people it has imprisoned.
Nor did it mention the enrichment of uranium at levels close to 90% purity for nuclear weapons or the repeated denial of access to International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors to suspected Iranian nuclear sites.
Mr. Pezeshkian made no attempt to deny these allegations, justify Iran’s malign conduct or say that Iran’s leadership will address these accusations and change its behavior.
Rather, the speech was a recitation of the U.S. leadership’s “bullying mentality.”
Mr. Pezeshkian could have talked about reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending the bombing of the infrastructure, airports and civilian areas in neighboring countries. He could have attempted to justify why Iran was militarily striking out at these neighboring countries, when Iran’s adversaries were the U.S. and Israel.
He did not.
Most vivid in the minds of many is Iran’s brutal reaction to peaceful protests in Iran — the slogan “Women, Life, Freedom” in 2022, when the so-called morality police arrested a 22-year-old Iranian woman, Mahsa Amini, for incorrectly wearing her headscarf. She subsequently died in police custody.
Peaceful protests by brave Iranians followed, with the Basij — a paramilitary force under the command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps — arresting thousands and killing hundreds.
Iran can change its behavior and seek to be removed from the State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism. That means stop supporting its proxies: the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, as well as the Shiite militias in Iraq and Syria. All are funded, armed and trained by the IRGC.
Still, Mr. Pezeshkian said Iran was the victim. Russia and China apparently agreed.
In addition to attempting to justify its war in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia was aligned with the Iranian regime, criticizing the U.S. and Israel for their military operations in Iran. Indeed, Russia continues to supply Iran with real-time satellite imagery and tracking data regarding U.S. troops, aircraft and warships in the Middle East for targeting purposes.
Russia is also reportedly providing military hardware to Iran: explosives, ammunition, drone components and shoulder-fired man-portable air defense systems.
Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, in addition to touting the impact of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, criticized the unilateral military actions of U.S. operations in Iran, while not mentioning anything about Taiwan.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Chinese entities had provided Iran with satellite intelligence and thousands of dual-use components during the ongoing war with the U.S. and Israel. The satellite imagery reportedly helped Iran improve missile and drone targeting of U.S. bases in the region, including the U.S. base in Jordan where American service members were killed.
Satellite imagery permits the Iranian military to better track commercial ships and U.S. military escorts in the Strait of Hormuz.
Also of real concern are the reports of dual-use shipments to Iran. In the first half of this year, more than 1,000 air shipments were reported from China to Iran’s defense ministry. These included GPS devices, electric motors, aircraft engine parts and chemical precursors used in ballistic missile propellants.
China is reportedly planning to ship up to 400 Chinese-made shoulder-fired air-defense missile launchers to help Iran rebuild its defenses. There are also concerns that Chinese front companies and banks helped Iran bypass oil export bans and move billions of dollars through barter and credit arrangements.
Whether China ordered or allowed these reported actions is unclear.
The U.S. — supported by Germany, France and Britain — states that military trade, drone transfers and ballistic missile exchanges between Russia, China and Iran are in violation of U.N. Security Council Resolution 2231. The U.S. and its allies criticized Russia and China for vetoing a recent U.S.-drafted resolution to extend the mandate of the U.N. Security Council’s Panel of Experts on Iran. The veto obstructed lawful oversight of Iran.
It appears that Russia and China are supporting Iran in its war with the U.S. and Israel.
Mr. Pezeshkian portrayed Iran as the victim, but it is the people of Iran and the innocents killed by Iran-backed terrorists who are the victims.

In the ongoing conflict between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, Iran is finding its options are all wrapped up by three primary administration figures, aside from President Trump; they are contending with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Of the three, it seems that right now, Treasury Secretary Bessent is doing them the most damage.
Now, on Thursday, Treasury Secretary Bessent has announced a new round of sanctions, this time putting the squeeze on Iran's automotive, rail, manufacturing and steelmaking operations.

The post states:
“The Iranian regime's ability to fund its war machine and inflict terror on the world has been severely diminished thanks to Operation Economic Outcast. Today’s action directly targets Iran’s enablers and lays the groundwork for the United States and our partners to drain the regime’s revenue once and for all.”
There is, also, a press release from Treasury with more details.
“Today, as part of Operation Economic Outcast, the U.S. Department of the Treasury is targeting some of the last significant elements of Iran’s failing industrial infrastructure, including its rail and automotive conglomerates. Much like the petroleum sector, Iran’s automotive and rail industries have been coopted by the regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), whose corruption and self‑serving interests have pushed Iran’s economy to the brink.”
It seems Treasury Secretary Bessent has a "who's naughty" list of Iranian industries and financial concerns. He's checked it twice, and now he's making sure that these Iranian concerns don't find anything in their stockings; not even a lump of coal. The squeeze on Iran's economy just keeps getting tighter.
“As the U.S. military’s maritime blockade takes hold and Iran’s oil revenues fall to zero, the regime has grown increasingly dependent on these remaining industries to maintain a veneer of economic solvency. Because the rail and automotive sectors represent some of the regime’s largest remaining sources of revenue and logistical capacity, today’s action strikes directly at the critical arteries Iran relies on to sustain its economy and evade sanctions.
The automotive sector, in particular, is deeply intertwined with IRGC patronage networks, enabling corruption, trade‑based money laundering, and even the exploitation of prison labor, making the dismantling of these channels vital to cutting off IRGC financing.”
This may be the first time in history when the United States has leveraged our economic and financial might to do an opponent more damage than our guns, missiles and bombs have done. Oh, President Trump hasn't taken that option off the table, either, and that may even be more likely now that Secretary of State Rubio has tossed the Iranian negotiators, who remained behind in the USA after the recent UN Global Summit, out on their fundaments. Trump and his administration may well have, as I've been pointing out, arrived at the conclusion that the only way out of this is through.
Iran has suffered under the sanctions brought by Treasury Secretary Bessent. Their negotiators have been dismissed by Secretary of State Rubio. Will they now once again make the unpleasant acquaintance of the people who work for Secretary of War Hegseth? We should have an answer to that soon.

France’s navy has escorted about 10 ships through the contested Bab Al-Mandeb Strait off the coast of Yemen over the past week, French army spokesperson Col. Xavier Rival said Thursday.
Col. Rival said the escorts are part of the European Union’s broader effort to protect shipping in the Red Sea under Operation Aspides, which launched in early 2024.
Unlike the U.S.’ naval blockade of Iran, which has helped escort vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, the EU operation is not authorized to return fire if attacked by Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
France has committed at least two frigates and two minehunter vessels to the Red Sea, but Italy and Greece are the main ship contributors to the operation.
The escort missions come as the Houthis continue to threaten Saudi-linked commercial vessels in the Red Sea. The Iran-backed rebel group, which controls much of western Yemen, announced an embargo on Saudi Arabia in July and has attacked ships and oil infrastructure with missiles and drones.
French participation in escort missions could hint at more French military involvement in the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis. French President Emmanuel Macron said recently that his country would send troops and defensive systems to protect the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
However, he stopped short of providing details on what systems and how many troops France intends to send to Yanbu. Mr. Macron described the pending operation as purely defensive and not indicative of France getting involved in a conflict.
Col. Rival said Thursday that the French government is involved in talks with Saudi Arabia to discuss requirements for a possible military mission.

The increasingly socialist Democrats have many powerful forces supporting them. Left-wing universities are churning out new socialists every day. Big Media and Hollywood celebrities parrot Democrat talking points 24/7. Half the judges in the country are running interference for the Left’s radical agenda.
Now, Democrats just landed a major endorsement — the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). That’s right. The terrorist group that slaughters Iranian civilians in the streets and has murdered many American soldiers is pleading with the American people to vote against Republican candidates this November.
It makes perfect sense. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards remember that it was Democrat President Barack Obama who gave them a sweetheart deal that nearly allowed them to become a nuclear power.
It’s the Democrats who want to open our borders once again and allow more mass migration from Third World Muslim nations. It’s the Democrats who have abandoned our ally, Israel. The mullahs know that Democrats like Michigan’s Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed will be in the U.S. Senate pushing legislation that is pro-Islam and anti-Israel.
It’s the Democrats who are promising to cut off funds for our troops in harm’s way right now. By the way, if Democrats succeeded in forcing an immediate end to the war, that would mean surrendering the Strait of Hormuz to Iran. The IRGC loves that idea, but it would only make your pain at the pump much, much worse.
What Should Happen
Here’s what should happen today. Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, Nancy Pelosi, El-Sayed and every Democrat candidate should rush to the nearest microphone and publicly reject the endorsement of Iranian extremists. They should say, “We spit in the faces of these brutal thugs. We condemn them and their endorsement.”
Democrats should make it clear that they do not want the support of bloodthirsty Islamic fanatics who chant “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” That’s what should happen today, but it won’t happen.
Democrat leaders know that Islamists in places like Chicago, Dallas, Dearborn, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York City are a large and growing part of their party’s radical base.
What You Should Do
When the enemies of the United States, whether it’s Iran or Communist China, are cheering for a Democrat Party victory, that should make all of us wake up. That alone should make it perfectly clear why you must vote. It’s more than just a civic duty.
You’re voting to protect America from our foreign and domestic enemies, which are increasingly interconnected. Much of the radical Left’s domestic infrastructure is controlled by and funded by Neville Singham, a tech billionaire and self-described “Maoist” who lives in China.
This election should be entirely about one thing: the extremism of the Democrat Party and its increasing dependence on anti-American radicals and Islamists.
