Where are the Washingtons and Jeffersons of today? As the joke goes, they are playing in the NFL. They are certainly not leading the Republican Party, and it’s not a joke.

Our heritage is being whittled away in the name of tolerating those who want to destroy our political system through nice-sounding phrases like “democratic socialism.”

By constantly calling AOC, Zohran Mamdani, and others “democratic socialists,” the fake news media are setting our people up for a rude awakening if they manage to seize power. There is nothing “democratic” about these people. But some Republicans and their “conservative” allies don’t want to admit the obvious.

Unless socialism is declared to be a foreign ideology, a clear and present danger to the American Revolution of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, America will continue to slide into a system that resembles France, under assault by leftists and French Muslims who are setting fire to the schools in the name of saving them.

More than 35 years ago a very important book was published, entitled, Communists in the Democratic Party. Over the years my group America’s Survival, Inc. held several conferences devoted to the topic. We were not taken seriously. We had warned that the socialists and progressives were communists doing the bidding of Moscow.

In our new report, “Prepare for World War III,” we list on page 10 several laws that can be invoked and enforced to save America.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s subversive background includes membership in the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), a group involved in communist espionage against the United States. DSA member Kurt Alan Stand, then 42, a regional labor union representative along with his wife, Theresa Squillacote, a former senior staff lawyer in the office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense, with a security clearance, and friend James Clark, a private investigator, were arrested on October 4, 1997 on charges of spying for East Germany and Russia. They were prosecuted and convicted and sent to prison.

Theresa Squillacote, who served 20 years in prison, received a “Reinventing Government” award from Vice President Al Gore. Stand was released from prison in 2012. Stand then became a member of DSA Members Organizing Against Trump.

Stand and Squillacote were former members of the Young Workers Liberation League, the former name of the youth arm of the Communist Party USA. Kurt Stand’s father Maximillian Stand was a long-standing member of the Communist Party USA.

Hence, the term “democratic” does not apply to the DSA and Mamdani, even though he claims to participate in America’s democracy. The DSA is the same group that backed Barack Obama’s run for the presidency and was once the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International.

Obama’s ties to the DSA go way back. In 1996 he won the endorsement of the Chicago DSA in his run for an Illinois state senate seat. Obama eulogized Saul Mendelson, “a longtime socialist activist,” as a DSA newsletter put it, and appeared on at least one DSA panel.

These modern-day “socialists” must be outlawed and banned from the political process. Yet, our leaders, even those of the MAGA brand, refuse to point out the obvious and take the necessary action against them. Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel have to get educated, and fast.

Rep. Rich McCormick (GA-07) has introduced the Communist Control Act of 2026 (H.R. 10501) to amend the Communist Control Act of 1954 and apply its provisions to the Democratic Socialists of America. There is no need for an update. The Communist Control Act of 1954 outlaws communist organizations and criminalizes membership in or support for “Communist-action” organizations, of which DSA is one.

Until we understand the communist revolution in our midst and get serious about addressing it, America cannot be saved. President Trump must continue to enforce the laws on the books, including the Communist Control Act, but he must go one step further and challenge the “authority” of the federal judges and even the Supreme Court when they usurp or undermine his authority to put down the insurrection.

Trump rules out pre-midterm strikes on Iran, citing productive diplomacy with Tehran!-Posted on The Washington Times-By Vaughn Cockayne, The Washington Times-On October 8, 2026:

President Trump said Thursday that he did not plan on launching new military strikes on Iran ahead of the November midterm elections, citing “productive discussions” with Tehran.

Mr. Trump’s firm rejection of pre-midterm strikes comes less than a day after several reports emerged indicating that the White House had directed the Pentagon to prepare for further military action against Iran that could be launched before the elections.

In a social media post, Mr. Trump insisted that Iran is near collapse, both militarily and economically, but that he would not authorize further strikes until after next month’s elections.

“I want to make it clear to everybody that, while Iran is in very bad condition, both economically and militarily, and while the Blockade will remain in full force and effect, with Oil flowing in Record Numbers of Barrels through the Hormuz Strait,” he said. “We will not be attacking Iran at any time prior to the Midterm Elections to be held in the United States on November 3rd.”

Several outlets reported Wednesday, citing unnamed administration officials, that the White House requested strike options exercisable before the elections to increase pressure on Iran and build momentum for Republicans.

The Washington Times reached out to the Pentagon and U.S. Central Command for comment.

A White House official told The Times that Mr. Trump has all options available to him and that the Iranian regime is in a state of collapse.

Prior reports indicated that President Trump was considering launching renewed attacks on Iran after the Nov. 3 elections and had opted to rely on America’s economic pressure campaign in the meantime to bring down oil and gas prices.

The naval blockade, which the Trump administration has maintained since July, has hampered Iran’s ability to export its oil, one of its primary revenue streams. The U.S. Treasury Department has also ramped up sanctions initiatives against individuals and entities tied to the Islamic republic.

On Thursday, the Treasury sanctioned 17 entities and their shadow fleet vessels that have been used to transport Iranian “petroleum or petrochemical products.” The sanctions are part of Operational Economic Outcast, which has increasingly targeted Iranian-linked financial institutions.

While oil prices have remained well above pre-war levels in recent months, the U.S. has been able to increase flow through the Strait of Hormuz via naval forces in the region, which have guided and protected commercial vessels moving through Omani waters.

CENTCOM said in a statement Thursday that 1.25 billion barrels of crude oil from Persian Gulf nations have moved through the strait in recent months.

Indeed, new military strikes on Iran would likely drive international energy prices up. New fighting would likely cause traffic in the Strait of Hormuz to grind to a halt, and Iran has signaled it would attack energy infrastructure in the region.

Iran has also begun ramping up attacks on tankers traveling through the strait, with independent tracking firms reporting more than a dozen strikes on ships since October began.

Shipping companies and insurance firms are clearly noticing the increasingly dangerous situation in the strait. Shipping traffic fell to its lowest level since July this week, with tracking firm Kpler data showing just seven commodity vessels moving through the waterway on Tuesday.

Mr. Trump’s comments on Thursday come amid stalled diplomacy between Iran and the U.S. as both sides remain at odds on future control of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s right to enrich uranium.

Iran is reportedly still considering a U.S. proposal, delivered via mediators this week, that sought concessions on Iran’s enrichment capabilities. Iran has repeatedly refused to accept any limitations on its domestic nuclear program, arguing it has the right under international law to enrich uranium.

Mr. Trump and other administration officials have long insisted that any deal reached with Iran must include a provision that ensures it cannot build nuclear weapons. Often, that has translated into proposed bans on enrichment in the country, which Iran has rejected.

Syria weighs military aid for Saudi Arabia amid war with Houthis, sources say. The Syrian president's media adviser, Ahmad Zaidan, denied that Saudi Arabia had requested that Syria deploy forces to help fight the Houthis in Yemen!-Posted on The Jerusalem Post-By REUTERS-On October 8, 2026:

Syria is carefully considering providing military assistance to key ally Saudi Arabia amid an escalating war against the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, a US official and a Syrian military official briefed on the matter said.

Options being considered include defensive aid to protect the kingdom from attacks, or deployment of forces in an offensive capacity to help Saudi-backed Yemeni troops fight the Houthis, the sources said.

The US official said Saudi Arabia had requested that Syria deploy forces to fight the Houthis - an assertion denied by the Syrian president's media adviser, Ahmad Zaidan, in a post on X/Twitter following the publication of this story.

In response to a request for comment to the Syrian foreign ministry, a Syrian diplomat said Syria stood firmly with Saudi Arabia in the face of Houthi attacks but that the government's primary focus was on domestic priorities such as recovery from the country's civil war.

"Should Saudi Arabia request any military cooperation or exchange of expertise, this would take place exclusively through official channels and within the framework of the bilateral agreements governing relations between our two brotherly countries," the diplomat said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia seeking support in anti-Houthi efforts

Saudi Arabia has been requesting assistance far and wide, from the US to Europe and the Middle East, for both defensive and offensive support in a renewed war against the group that follows weeks of Houthi missile and drone attacks on the kingdom.

The war is being led on the ground by a patchwork of Yemeni government forces with Saudi air support. They have made limited advances since the campaign was launched on Monday.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa made a public visit to Riyadh on Tuesday and met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MbS. He discussed potential Syrian military assistance for the kingdom, among other matters, the US official said.

Footage broadcast by Syrian state media showed that he was escorted back to his plane by Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman, a brother of the crown prince who has overseen the Yemen file.

Deployment could deepen tensions with neighbors

Syrian fighters from opposition groups that battled former leader Bashar al-Assad in the country's civil war have in past years been recruited as mercenaries for other conflicts, notably Libya's internal conflict and the Russia-Ukraine war.

But for Damascus, any potential deployment carries risks.

The militias that made up the armed opposition are now under the nascent Syrian state, which has adopted a policy of avoiding engagement in conflict, including the Iran war, to focus on recovery from the 14-year Syrian civil war.

The state is still piecing together its army from the various militia groups from the former rebel coalition that toppled Assad, which included many hardline Sunni Islamist and foreign fighters, and is trying to contain tensions with minorities, including the Alawites, a Shi'ite offshoot to which Assad belonged.

A conflict between that army and the Houthis, who are also adherents of an offshoot of Shi'ite Islam, could have divisive religious undertones that the Syrian leadership and its Western partners want to avoid, the US official said.

It is for this reason that it previously rejected a US request to help fight Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Involvement in a battle against the Iran-backed Houthis could also be viewed as a hostile act by Iran and its allies Hezbollah in Lebanon and militias in Iraq, with which the Syrian rebels-turned-rulers have a history of conflict.

Sharaa keen to show support for Saudis

At the same time, Sharaa is keen to show the country's support for Saudi Arabia and MbS, who played a decisive role helping the former jihadist gain international legitimacy, including by brokering a May 2025 meeting between Sharaa and US President Donald Trump.

Saudi Arabia has also provided financial assistance to Syria, and a Syrian show of support could result in that increasing, the US official said.

"A new Syria sending defensive personnel of a very small number to the most holy places in the Islamic world, alongside technical support to neutralize incoming drones, would be tremendously and positively symbolic," said H.A. Hellyer, senior associate fellow at the Royal United Services Institute in London.

"But anything beyond, particularly in terms of Syrian boots on the ground, I think would be a wholly different proposition, and one I think Damascus would avoid, given the priorities they need to focus on in Syria," he said.

Turkey says Mecca pact is purely defensive, will not deploy forces to attack Houthis!-Posted on The Washington Times-By Vaughn Cockayne, The Washington Times-On October 8, 2026:

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Thursday that the Mecca defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is defensive in nature and would not require Ankara to authorize attacks on other countries.

The pact would not require Turkey to deploy troops to another country for the purpose of carrying out an attack, Mr. Fidan said at a joint press conference with Hungarian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Anita Orban.

“Once a country that is a party to the agreement is attacked, you stand by it for its defense. This is not an attack agreement,” Mr. Fidan said.

He added that the Erdogan administration had submitted the agreement to parliament for approval this week.

The Mecca defense pact was expanded this year to include Turkey. Some analysts predicted the agreement could institute a Middle East-centric alliance akin to NATO. That theory is being tested as Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen launch attacks on Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was invoked this week in an emergency meeting in Riyadh following a volley of missile and drone attacks from the Houthis on oil infrastructure and airports.

So far, Turkey has sent air defense systems, technical personnel and a limited number of troops with the express purpose of defending Saudi Arabian territory from Houthi attacks.

Pakistan, meanwhile, has deployed at least 8,000 troops, two squadrons of drones, air defense systems and more than a dozen fighter jets.

Those jets were used to strike Houthi targets in Yemen this week, according to an unnamed Pakistani military source cited by the New York Times.

US Issues Security Alert to Citizens in Middle East After Houthis Attack Saudi Arabia. Three people were killed in the Houthis’ recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport!-Posted on The Epoch Times-By Aldgra Fredly-On October 9, 2026:

The United States warned American citizens in the Middle East to remain vigilant on Thursday after Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis attacked two civilian airports in Saudi Arabia and other critical infrastructure, resulting in civilian deaths.

The U.S. State Department warned that the situation could escalate rapidly, potentially leading to flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions in the region.

“Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or at locations associated with the United States and Americans throughout the world, including U.S. businesses and other institutions,” it stated in a post on X.

Saudi authorities said in a statement that three people were killed and 36 others were injured in separate attacks targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport on Oct. 6 and Oct. 7, for which the Houthi terrorist group has claimed responsibility.

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation said it was still assessing the damage and verifying the safety of the affected facilities. The agency also noted that it would take necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of the country’s civil aviation system.

The U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia said in a post on X that U.S. government employees in Saudi Arabia will now need to obtain special authorization to use King Khalid International Airport and are prohibited from traveling within 20 miles of the Yemen border due to safety risks.

The Houthis said the attacks on Saudi Arabia were a response to the country’s support for government forces in Yemen’s reignited civil war. Saudi Arabia has expressed support for an offensive by Yemen’s U.N.-recognized government aimed at reclaiming territory held by the Houthis.

Yemeni Minister of Information Moammar al-Eryani said on Oct. 5 that government forces, which launched an offensive last week, had made a rapid advance with Saudi air support and seized key positions in Dhubab, next to the key international waterway.

Al-Eryani said that the armed forces had regained an airstrip at Dhubab, which is just inland, and cut off Houthi forces in the area, but that fighting remained ongoing.

Saudi Arabia signed a defense agreement with Turkey and Pakistan on Aug. 7 that stipulates that an attack on any one of the three countries would be considered an attack on all three.

Saudi Deputy Minister for Public Diplomacy Rayed Krimly said at the time that the defense pact would enable the trio of powers to “develop joint defense capabilities, strengthen strategic deterrence, enhance readiness, and further develop and integrate their respective defense capabilities to jointly address any threats to their safety and security.”

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Thursday that military officials were assessing ways to support Saudi Arabia, particularly in air defense, electronic warfare, and technical support. He ruled out Turkey’s participation in offensive operations.

The attack reportedly struck a terminal at the airport, and has been described as a “mass casualty incident” and footage from the scene depicted blood on the ground as travelers attempted to evacuate.

The previous attack resulted in U.S. officials barring government employees from traveling through the airport without authorization. They were likewise instructed to maintain a distance of 20 miles from the Saudi Arabian border with Yemen.

Pezeshkian and Putin meet on sidelines of Turkmenistan summit amid war and plague questions!-Posted on The Washington Times-By Vaughn Cockayne, The Washington Times-On October 9, 2026:

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin met on the sidelines of the Commonwealth of Independent States meeting in Turkmenistan on Friday, as questions swirl about an emerging plague in Russia and the status of U.S.-Iran diplomacy.

During the bilateral dialogue, Mr. Pezeshkian told Mr. Putin that his country would continue working through mediators to finalize a peace agreement with the U.S. He added that Tehran is in the process of revising its proposal to send to Washington.

He clarified that he did not deliver a proposal to Mr. Putin during the conference that the Russian leader could then communicate to President Trump when they speak next.

Mr. Trump said earlier this week that he expects to speak with Mr. Putin by phone to discuss the case. He also dismissed fears that Shapilova might have died after being exposed to a biological weapon.

Trump Just Spoke With Putin – and There's a Big Diesel Update!-Posted on Townhall-By Cameron Arcand-On October 9, 2026:

President Donald Trump said Russia "will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and global marketplace" with much more to be supplied afterward, he posted to Truth Social while explaining that he had a "highly successful discussion" with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.

"Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel," he wrote.

"Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority," the president added, calling it a "very big and important announcement."

Earlier on Friday, the president suggested that an announcement regarding diesel was in the works, as prices for the type of fuel necessary for many truckers and farmers remain elevated. 

The agreement with Russia comes as special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are meeting with Ukrainian negotiators in Miami on Friday regarding the ongoing war in Eastern Europe. Trump last spoke directly with Putin last month. 

The average nationwide price of diesel is $6.28 per gallon, according to AAA on Friday. Earlier this week, Trump announced he signed an Executive Order allowing for sale of tax-free red dye diesel for highway driving through the end of the year.

"We have a big announcement coming up on diesel, I think,” Trump said on Friday at a Columbus Day event at the White House, before complimenting Energy Secretary Chris Wright.

Last week, the U.S. and European nations made an agreement on a diesel release, as supply concerns have continued, which the G7 cited as part of the conflict with Iran and the Russia-Ukraine war. 

“We will convene in the context of the [International Energy Agency] in the coming days to discuss the possibility of additional diesel releases as necessary,” the G7 leaders said in a statement. 

“Europe has just agreed to release a massive amount of their heavily stocked Diesel Oil,” Trump posted to Truth Social at the time. “The process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The move ultimately led to a diesel export ban against Europe being shot down, as the president told reporters this week that “we’re not gonna be doing the export ban.”

Aside from diesel, the president told Townhall on Tuesday that he is still “thinking about” a federal gas tax suspension, which would require approval from Congress first. 

Unless the president reconvened Congress soon, they are not expected to return until after the midterms, meaning a renewed suspension push would likely need to happen during the lame duck session or next year.

The Trump administration has reportedly issued a warning to Ukraine that attacks on Russian energy infrastructure are off limits, and has threatened to cut off intelligence sharing should those attacks continue.

A story from the Financial Times indicated that Ukrainian refusal to accept American requests in hopes of stabilizing global energy markets was what resulted in the deal between President Donald Trump and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to send massive quantities of diesel to the United States.

Axios continued with more information, stating that U.S. envoys made similar requests six separate times, all of which were refused and the Ukrainian attacks continued. Ultimately, that decision by Ukrainian officials led to the Russian diesel deal. An unnamed official has said that these actions are "eroding the good will [Volodymyr Zelensky] has built up with Trump over the last six months.

In the hours following the deal, Ukrainian drones struck at a key Russian fuel exportation depot, setting the facility ablaze. Smoke could be seen billowing from structures within the facility into the morning.

Western Europe chose national suicide through bureaucratic paralysis and open borders. The American republic now stands on the exact precipice of that civilizational collapse.

Across Britain and France, central governments abandoned the most basic duty of the nation-state: the defense of sovereign borders. Decades of unchecked entry, lax law enforcement, and ideological cowardice fractured their historic urban centers. Public services buckle. Radical factions defy common law. Street violence surges while state bureaucrats police the speech of citizens rather than the crimes of perpetrators.

American voters face this identical crossroads. The midterm ballot contains one decisive question: Will the United States defend its heritage of constitutional law and borders, or will it follow Europe into irreversible decline?

Europe offers a real-time post-mortem of a civilization that surrendered its will to govern.

In London and Paris, politicians traded national identity for open borders and cultural balkanization. They dismantled border walls, weakened deportation mechanisms, and embraced globalist mandates over domestic stability. The results speak with brutal clarity:

♦ Fractured societies where distinct enclaves reject common civic duties and domestic legal systems.

♦ Heavy administrative censorship that prosecutes citizens for online dissent while violent offenders walk free under weak sentencing laws.

♦ Staggering tax burdens, where welfare states collapse under the weight of populations they refuse to assimilate or control.

♦ Crippled energy sectors and sluggish economic markets that leave ordinary families destitute in cold winters.

Beyond economic strain, an even more fundamental transformation looms over Western Europe: the steady surrender of its civilizational identity. In historic cities across Britain and France, decades of unmanaged immigration combined with official appeasement have created rapidly expanding enclaves where national laws take a back seat to parallel religious courts and fundamentalist norms. Rather than demanding complete civic integration, European authorities systematically yield public spaces, legal traditions, and cultural heritage to aggressive demographic shifts and Islamist political pressure. What began as an unmonitored border crisis has evolved into a quiet abdication of Western sovereignty, serving as an urgent warning of what happens when a republic loses the nerve to defend its own civilization.

When a government forfeits control of its borders, it forfeits its sovereignty. Once sovereignty dies, the rule of law collapses with it.

The progressive leadership in Washington pursues the precise blueprint that hollowed out Europe.

Federal authorities systematically weakened border infrastructure, halted deportations, and tolerated chaotic processing at the southern frontier. Progressive city administrations dismantle bail laws, strip police departments of operational authority, and permit lawlessness in public squares. Federal agencies expand their reach into private speech, parental rights, and energy production.

This agenda produces weakness. It invites international cartels to dictate border crossings. It crushes American wages beneath an influx of unvetted labor. It weakens domestic manufacturing through punitive green mandates while foreign adversaries expand their industrial dominance.

Undecided voters must recognize the pattern. This crisis stems from deliberate policy decisions. Change the leadership, and you reverse the decay.

A Republican legislative majority provides the sole institutional fortress capable of halting this descent. The conservative platform restores the foundational mechanics of American strength.

First, real border enforcement. A conservative Congress mandates the physical closure of unauthorized transit corridors, fully funds the border wall, expands border patrol ranks, and restores strict deportation standards. It penalizes sanctuary jurisdictions that harbor criminal offenders and shields American workers from unvetted labor competition.

Second, the restoration of the rule of law. Conservative majorities restore judicial accountability, support law enforcement officers with federal resources, and eliminate ideological mandates inside federal agencies. When crime receives swift, decisive punishment, public order returns.

Third, aggressive economic liberation. America possesses abundant oil, natural gas, and industrial genius. Conservative governance slashes the regulatory mandates that paralyze domestic energy production. It defends low corporate and individual tax rates, drives energy independence, and restores competitive American industry.

Fourth, civic assimilation and constitutional freedom. True nations demand shared loyalty to the Constitution, mastery of civic fundamentals, and reverence for equal justice under law. Conservative leadership rejects ideological division in schools, restores classic civic education, and defends fundamental rights – chief among them free speech and gun ownership.

Doubt kills republics. Many voters hesitate, weary of partisan rhetoric and skeptical of promises.

Look past the personalities and focus on the cold reality of the alternative. The progressive path leads directly to the European outcome: permanent economic stagnation, shattered borders, civil friction, and a bloated state that strips citizens of their historic liberties. Europe lacks the constitutional safeguards to reverse its course. America still possesses them.

This midterm election offers no luxury for indifference. Abstention yields power to the architects of decline. A vote for Republican leadership establishes a decisive break against administrative overreach, protects American borders, and preserves national sovereignty for future generations.

Vote red. Guard the border. Defend the republic.

Nidal Malik Hasan is scheduled for death by firing squad on Dec. 3. He’s the guy who shot and killed 13 individuals — 14, if you include an unborn baby — and injured another 32 while screaming “Allahu akbar” at a Fort Hood, Texas, bloody massacre in November 2009. He’s also the guy who then-White House chief Barack Obama bent over backward to portray as more disgruntled worker, less psychotic jihadist.

It was Obama’s administration that labeled the attack an act of “workplace violence,” despite Hasan’s open embrace of radical Islamism.

Hasan will soon be dead. But Obama’s legacy of watering down, defending and ultimately enabling Islamic terror will live on.

From the website of Rep. Roger Williams in September 2013: “Hasan was convicted … of killing 13 and wounding more than 30 when he went on a shooting spree in 2009 on the base near Killeen, Texas, shouting ‘Allahu akbar,’ Arabic for ‘God is great,’ before opening fire. … Since the attack, investigators revealed that the FBI knew Hasan was in email contact with Anwar al-Awlaki, an al Qaeda leader who was killed in a 2011 drone strike in Yemen. During his trial, the American-born Muslim stated that he was a soldier who had ‘switched sides’ and that his goal in killing American soldiers was to protect Islamic insurgents abroad.”

The post made the media rounds in the context of explaining the congressional push for passage of legislation cosponsored by Williams and Rep. John Carter, both of Texas, that was titled “Honoring the Fort Hood Heroes Act” — to change the designation of Hasan’s murderous rampage from “workplace violence” to an act of terror. The legislation was aimed at stripping the lie and replacing it with truth. It was also aimed at opening the doors for victims and their families to receive more benefits, including the Purple Heart. Thankfully, it passed, and Hasan’s “workplace violence” tag was ultimately stripped.

But Team Obama resisted. 

Team Obama’s FBI and Defense Department resisted.

Why the resistance? Why the lie? Team Obama wanted to put an end to the previous administration’s global war on terror and reframe the narratives of radical Islamic jihad.

But simply watering down definitions and reshaping messaging doesn’t put a stop to terrorism. Rather, it emboldens it. 

From The Washington Institute in October 2013: “In August, former U.S. Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was convicted on 45 counts of premeditated murder and attempted premeditated murder. … In May, President Obama referenced this attack in a major speech at the National Defense University: ‘Deranged or alienated individuals — often U.S. citizens or legal residents — can do enormous damage, particularly when inspired by larger notions of violent jihad. That pull towards extremism appears to have led to the shooting at Fort Hood.’”

It was like pulling teeth to get Obama — four years after the terror attack — to even suggest something other than workplace violence drove Hasan.

As The Washington Institute noted, “This is the closest the president, or any government official from the executive or judicial branch, has come to calling the attack in Fort Hood what it is: an act of terrorism. Instead, the attack was classified even in the Department of Defense’s final report as a case of ‘workplace violence.’”

This — even as Hasan, serving as his own attorney, tried to plead guilty at his trial and admit to switching sides to defend Islam.

“Army prosecutors could have incorporated federal terrorism charges into the case, but for reasons that are not clear, they instead charged him with murder and attempted murder,” The Washington Institute wrote.

Hmm. The reasons may not be clearly stated.

But that doesn’t mean they aren’t clear.

Early in his presidency, Obama spoke to the Muslim world from Cairo and called for a “new beginning” based on mutual respect. From there, it was one conciliatory reach-out to Muslims after another. Don’t use the phrase radical Islamist. Don’t say radical Islam. Don’t say global war on terror — say countering violent extremism. ISIS, anyone?

Shhh. Close eyes. Pretend away the peril.

“Obama raised eyebrows after making a somber statement over the brutal killing of American journalist James Foley by Islamic State militants,” CBS News wrote in 2014. Militants? CBS went on: “Obama called Foley’s death ‘an act of violence that shocks the conscience of the entire world.’”

Then he went golfing.

He issued a statement about the gruesome Islamic terrorist murder of a U.S. journalist — calling it an “act of violence” — and then he headed off to a round of golf with friends.

As Rep. Michael McCaul said in 2016, “For eight years, the Obama administration reluctantly played global whack-a-mole with terrorists rather than leaning into the fight with decisive leadership.” Yep. It took four years and an act of Congress to even get the record corrected about Hasan.

And that’s how terrorism grows. And that’s why terrorists feel emboldened to grow. And that is what Obama will be remembered for, at least by those who are willing to see the truth.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the public will be able to see the Dec. 3 firing-squad execution of convicted Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan.

Hasan, a former Army psychiatrist and Islamic jihadist, was convicted of killing 13 people and wounding 32 others in a 2009 mass shooting at the sprawling military post in central Texas.

Mr. Hegseth recommended a firing squad as the means of execution, a decision that was approved by President Trump.

“We’ll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public,” he told the conservative news website Human Events. “People need to understand that there are serious consequences for these types of things.”

The Defense Department said the execution would be live-streamed and that more details would follow.

Mr. Hegseth said the decision to recommend a firing squad as the means of execution was a “no-brainer,” and the choice of Fort Hood as the location for it was not a coincidence.

“Of course we’re going to do it at Fort Hood and do it on a Thursday. We’re going to do it at 10 a.m. — which is when he did it — and it’s going to be soldiers with rifles,” Mr. Hegseth said. “It was a radical Islamist attack in uniform inside the ranks, and so he’s going to get a firing squad of soldiers — as it should be.”

Mr. Hegseth was asked whether Hasan had made any requests or reached out to the White House since Mr. Trump approved the execution order.

“Don’t care. We’ll see him on Dec. 3,” he said.

Hasan’s execution would be the first since Army Pvt. and convicted child rapist John A. Bennett was hanged in 1961. It would be the first conducted by a military firing squad since Jan. 31, 1945, when Army Pvt. Eddie Slovik was shot for desertion during World War II near Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines in France.

The Pentagon has ordered U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) to complete preparations for a possible resumption of major combat operations against Iran as President Donald Trump weighs renewed strikes that could come before November’s midterm elections, according to multiple reports Wednesday.

The directive, issued several days ago, comes as the administration considers strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, energy infrastructure, and other strategic targets, although Trump has not made a final decision on whether or when to authorize another major military campaign.

Axios first reported the order to CENTCOM, citing U.S. officials who said discussions about renewed operations have intensified amid the continuing standoff with Tehran.

The preparations follow a meeting Friday at Camp David, where Trump’s national security team spent several hours discussing Iran and other regional security challenges, including the conflict with the Houthis in Yemen.

An Israeli official told the outlet that resuming major combat operations against Iran was among the subjects discussed.

The military subsequently developed new options for Trump’s consideration, NBC News separately reported Wednesday, citing two U.S. officials and another person familiar with the discussions. The Atlantic also reported Wednesday that the White House had requested strike options that could be carried out ahead of the midterms.

While the scale and targets of a potential operation remain undecided, officials have discussed strikes against Iran’s nuclear and energy infrastructure, with a broader campaign also possible after the elections.

Israeli officials expect that renewed major operations could involve a joint American-Israeli campaign, although no decision has been announced.

“The chances of it happening before the elections is not high but we don’t rule it out,” one Israeli official was quoted as saying. “After the midterms the chances of it happening increase significantly.”

The military preparations come as Trump has repeatedly warned Tehran that it faces a choice between reaching an agreement with Washington and confronting further American action.

“We have to finish up, and it’s only a question of which way do we want to do it,” Trump said Tuesday, contrasting the “nice way” with the “not-so-nice way” and adding that the outcome would become clear soon.

Speaking Wednesday in San Antonio, Texas, Trump reiterated his determination to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons.

“And just as I promised, I am ensuring that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. Ever,” he declared.

The president also predicted that the conflict would end soon, telling the audience that oil prices would “come down like a rock” as the fighting concludes.

The administration’s military preparations come as Tehran continues to resist Washington’s nuclear demands, leaving negotiations without a breakthrough despite mounting economic pressure on the Iranian regime.

The Trump administration has rejected another interim agreement focused on reopening the Strait of Hormuz while postponing substantive negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, insisting that any deal must address Washington’s broader demands.

Tehran had proposed a seven-day arrangement under which Washington would begin lifting sanctions and releasing frozen Iranian funds in exchange for reopening the strait, leaving negotiations over its nuclear program for a later stage.

Trump rejected the proposal, which resembled an earlier framework that collapsed after Iran resumed attacks on shipping in the strategic waterway.

The two countries nevertheless discussed Tehran’s nuclear program during indirect negotiations in New York, according to American, Middle Eastern, and Iranian officials cited by NBC News.

A senior Iranian official, however, told Reuters that Tehran would never relinquish its claimed right to enrich uranium and insisted that Washington must first meet Iranian conditions before negotiations over the nuclear program could proceed.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio reinforced Washington’s position Wednesday, saying Tehran had repeatedly squandered opportunities to reach an agreement while its military capabilities and economy continued to deteriorate.

“Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, simple, period, end of story,” Rubio said in Athens.

The administration’s negotiating position is strengthened by American control of the Strait of Hormuz, where U.S. forces continue protecting international shipping while enforcing an ironclad blockade that has effectively shut down Iran’s oil exports.

CENTCOM reported Monday that American forces had redirected 130 commercial vessels attempting to enter or leave Iranian ports since the blockade resumed in July.

On Wednesday, the command also rejected an Iranian military official’s assertion that Tehran controlled the strait, emphasizing that commercial vessels and energy shipments continued moving through the waterway.

“The United States and regional partners clearly control the strait,” CENTCOM declared.

The blockade has become a central source of American leverage as Iran faces a worsening economic crisis. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned over the weekend that Tehran was on the verge of having no oil at sea available for export for the first time in its history, effectively cutting off a critical source of revenue.

The president framed the decision Tuesday as a choice between ending the conflict the “nice way” or the “not-so-nice way,” saying the outcome would become clear “pretty soon.”

Houthis Claim Ballistic Missile Attacks on Saudi Airports, at Least Three Killed!-Posted on Breitbart.com-By John Hayward-On October 8, 2026:

The Iran-backed Houthi insurgents of Yemen claimed responsibility on Thursday for attacking King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s capital of Riyadh with a ballistic missile.

Saudi officials said the airport in Abha was also attacked and three civilians were killed by the Houthi strikes.

Saudi Arabia’s aviation authority said a Moroccan and an Algerian national living in Abha were killed by that attack, while a Sudanese national living in Riyadh was killed by the strike on King Khalid airport. Saudi officials said 28 people were wounded in Abha, plus another 8 in Riyadh.

The Houthis issued a statement on Thursday morning taking credit for the Riyadh attack, but did not immediately claim responsibility for bombing the airport in Abha.

Maj. Gen. Turki a-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led regional coalition against the Houthis, said coalition forces were able to intercept several ballistic missiles fired at Riyadh and the southwestern city of Khamis Mushait.

Maliki said the coalition also destroyed a Houthi missile launch platform near Yemen’s capital of Sanaa, which the insurgents captured in 2014.

Saudi civil defense officials said shrapnel from a missile intercepted near Riyadh fell on a kindergarten and a medical clinic, causing “material damage” to both.

Maliki vowed that the Houthi attacks “will not go unpunished.” He said a “comprehensive operation” targeting Houthi military positions in Yemen has destroyed 82 targets in recent days, including ballistic missile storage facilities, command-and-control centers, communications systems, and rally points for Houthi fighters.

Arab leaders and regional organizations condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi airports as violations of international law. Bahrain said the “criminal” strikes are jeopardizing the lives of passengers and airport employees, while Jordan called them a violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty.

Syria and Egypt also condemned the Houthi attacks as threats to the stability and security of the entire Middle East. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) called the Houthi strikes “terrorist attacks” and said they represented a “serious escalation” of the conflict between the Houthis, Yemen’s legitimate government, and Saudi Arabia.

The Muslim World League (MWL) also slammed the Houthi attacks as “acts of terrorism that violate religious values, international law and humanitarian principles.”

If Iran directed the recent attacks, Trump should hit back hard. The FlyDubai hijacking attempt and RAF Fairford scare raise fresh questions about Tehran's reach!-Posted on The Washington Times-By Jed Babbin-On October 7, 2026:

Two attempted terrorist attacks occurred last week. The question is whether Iran is responsible for either or both.

One, which grabbed most of the headlines, is the attempted hijacking of a FlyDubai airliner headed to Tel Aviv. It was thwarted by the pilot, Israeli civilians and off-duty pilots who landed the plane safely.

The second, which has received far less media coverage, was the attempted attack late last month on the air base at Royal Air Force Fairford in Britain. It was thwarted by the police.

The alleged FlyDubai hijacker — co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami — reportedly struck the pilot from behind with a crash ax and sent the aircraft into a steep 14,000-foot dive on Sept. 30. The BBC and The New York Times — whose politics are identical — said it was an “altercation” in the cockpit, borrowing language from FlyDubai’s own official statement. It was not. It was an attempt to crash the aircraft and kill all aboard.

The pilot, Smit Machchhar, fought off Mr. al-Hammami and opened the cockpit door for Israeli civilians, who overpowered the attempted hijacker, while off-duty pilots on board landed the aircraft safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Mr. al-Hammami had previously been suspended from flying by Oman Air because of extremist materials found in his possession, but FlyDubai hired him without vetting his background with his former employer.

The incident exposed a huge gap in Dubai airport security, which can be remedied only by close searches of aircrews.

The UAE is investigating, but its investigation will not reveal the truth. Both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Anwar Gargash, a senior diplomatic adviser to the UAE president, labeled the attack terrorism.

President Trump said Iran may be connected to the incident.

Mr. Trump said the alleged attackers at RAF Fairford, in Gloucestershire, west of London, were out to do “big damage” to the base. Fairford has been used for B-1 and B-52 strikes on Iran. We have since brought the aircraft back to the U.S.

On Sept. 27, five British nationals from London were arrested near the base after police received calls — including one from a local farmer who spotted three vans with masked men — alerting them to suspicious activity. They were held on suspicion of terrorism offenses and possession of explosives, though no explosives were ultimately found in the vehicles. A sixth suspect, a dual British-Iranian citizen, was arrested on Oct. 1, followed by a seventh suspect arrested in London on Oct. 6.

All seven have since been released on bail by British authorities. They are sure to disappear and surface in Iran or elsewhere, greeted as heroes.

Iran, naturally, is suspected as the most likely source of the attack.

Why the alleged attackers were not spotted and interdicted earlier remains a mystery. They were not labeled as possible attackers by intelligence agencies, only by a local farmer. It seems that, once again, U.S. and British intelligence agencies failed in their jobs.

Mr. Trump said Iran will be “hit very hard” if the investigations show that it was the source of the FlyDubai and RAF Fairford attacks, but his history of empty threats and broken promises does not inspire confidence.

Can Iran be taught not to sponsor terrorism? It is highly doubtful. The Tehran regime is dedicated to sponsoring terrorism, and its principal proxies — Hamas and Hezbollah — are still working hard to repeat their attacks on Israel and beyond.

Iran should be hit extremely hard if it is responsible for these terrorist attacks. The regime in Tehran appears to be keeping its promise to back militant groups worldwide. It takes little to do so: only a bit of money and perhaps some smuggled arms or explosives.

The problem is that it is very hard to prove Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism. It has decades of experience in hiding the regime’s connections to terrorism. Are our intelligence experts up to the challenge? Perhaps, perhaps not.

Our Middle East “allies” — excluding Israel — are not likely to accept what they find because it is ideologically inconvenient for them to do so.

So we are caught between the absolutist ideology of Islam and the facts. Iran will not be ending its sponsorship of terrorism, nor will it give up its nuclear weapons ambitions. Mr. Trump’s economic sanctions have a chance to bring down the Tehran regime. The Iranian rial is now trading at roughly 1.7 million to the U.S. dollar, and inflation is approaching 90%, with food and goods prices up more than 100%.

Meanwhile, the Democrats seem stupefied by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ endorsement of voting against Republicans in the November midterms. It is too delicious a quandary not to enjoy.
