Opinion in Brief

Peggy Noonan: “Why do Americans own so many guns? Because they don’t trust the protected elites to protect them. … I think a lot of Americans have guns because they’re fearful — and for damn good reason. They fear a coming chaos, and know that when it happens it will be coming to a nation that no longer coheres. They think it’s all collapsing — our society, our culture, the baseline competence of our leadership class. They see the cultural infrastructure giving way — illegitimacy, abused children, neglect, racial tensions, kids on opioids staring at screens — and, unlike their cultural superiors, they understand the implications. Nuts with nukes, terrorists bent on a mission. The grid will go down. One of our foes will hit us, suddenly and hard. In the end it could be hand to hand, door to door. I said some of this six years ago to a famously liberal journalist, who blinked in surprise. If that’s true, he said, they won’t have a chance! But they are Americans, I said. They won’t go down without a fight.”  ~The Patriot Post

Rep Jordan Stomps Blowhard Cuomo
Blaming GOP For liar-nObamacare Implosion

{rickwells.us} ~ Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) agreed to an interview with the exceptionally rude propagandist Chris Cuomo, who talked over him throughout, in his customary manner... Not only is Cuomo the epitome of CNN Democrat partisanship, even the banner above his name is reflective of the network bias, reading “Trump ends healthcare subsidies for poor people.” Nowhere does it mention they’re another illegal act by the Kenyan usurper, just the implication that Trump is the Grinch and for him, everyday is Christmas. Why do Republicans ever go on CNN, but particularly legitimize this obnoxious piece of liberal trash by appearing on his program and further enabling and rewarding this type of conduct. After Jordan speaks in support of President Trump’s decision to end the illegal subsidies the imposter liar-nObama enacted, Cuomo can almost be seen engaging the propaganda machine between his ears. Always quick to call Republicans by their first name, the dishonest leftist asks, “Jim, why aren’t you saying that the President is acting like an emperor and that his job is to execute laws that are passed, not write his own?” Ya think it’s got anything to do with the fact that he isn’t,  Cuomo?...  https://rickwells.us/jordan-cuomo-obamacare-implosion/

Sessions DOJ Good Old Boys Arguing Against

{rickwells.us} ~ Why are Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Department of Justice lawyers arguing in court on behalf of those attempting to railroad President Trump out of office?...  DOJ lawyers have asked a federal judge to block memos written by the corrupt former FBI Director, James Comey, from being released. Comey’s perspective on the issue makes sense, he’s guilty and he wants to limit his exposure to prosecution. The less we know and the less evidence that is available to support a case against him, the better his position. But why is Sessions also taking that same stance, particularly in light of the fact that Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein and the new FBI Director who replaced him, Christopher Wray, are all peas in the same pod of corruption? Did they make room in that pod for one more, the AG himself?... https://rickwells.us/sessions-doj-evidence-comey/

{rickwells.us} ~ Senator Rand Paul, who is also an ophthalmologist, knows from personal experience the details of what makes a good healthcare system work... and what makes a bad one like liar-nObamacare cumbersome, expensive and ineffective. Following the signing by President Trump of his two executive orders on Healthcare, Senator Paul spoke with a reporter and explained what it all means. The explanation he offers of what the reality will be under the new guidelines is nothing like the “end of civilization” hand-wringing of the mainstream media. To hear him explain it everything is an effort to make things better for the American people. Nobody is out to steal insurance from defenseless poor people for the pleasure of watching them suffer as CNN and the rest of the MSM have been reporting. Rather than being heartless ogres, the President’s effort will permit free market competition to lower prices drastically and improve care. Once again getting government out of the way improves function...  https://rickwells.us/rand-paul-trump-obamacare-eos/

{ipatriot.com} ~ As a black proud American, I was repulsed learning that the NAACP sent out a press release accusing Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones of violating his players free speech rights... In a nutshell, Jones told his employees, if you don’t stand for our national anthem, your derriere will ride the bench.  http://bit.ly/2yj2Bxj I say, “Right on bro, it’s about time!” The NAACP is scum, betrayers of its people. Their attack on Jerry Jones is another example of the far-left bitter hate group throwing absurd excrement against the wall, believing their fake news media homeys will make it stick. Sadly, the NAACP sold its soul to liberalism many moons ago, abandoning its mission of empowering blacks... http://ipatriot.com/naacp-attacking-jones-confirms-betrayal-people/

THE U.N. & OTHER PLAGUES
by Burt Prelutsky

One of the areas in which President Trump has most disappointed me is his apparent reversal on the United Nations. Years before he even considered entering politics, he dismissed the world body as a wart on the New York landscape. He suggested the U.S. resign from the organization, evict it from these shores, and allow him to buy the property and transform it into a five-star hotel.

Even as recently as last year’s campaign, he called the UN useless and corrupt.  And yet he continues to fund it to the tune of several billion dollars-a-year, addresses its members and even calls upon the world body to act in concert with our interests. Even if he were far more naïve than he is, why on earth would Donald Trump imagine that an organization that represents the collective interests of dictators, Islamists and European socialists, would want to do us any favors?

This is a group, after all, that spends an inordinate amount of time passing resolutions not against North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Syria and Venezuela, but against Israel. Couple that with the fact that China and Russia have veto powers, and you have a recipe for disaster.

Under those circumstances, even our own deliberative body, the U.S. Senate, which, God knows, is filled to the rafters with fools, thieves and mountebanks, doesn’t look quite so bad by comparison.

● When I consider the hypocrisy of liberals, I am filled with despair for the future of this great nation. How can we survive, let alone prosper, when so many millions of us hold groups of thugs such as Antifa, Black Lives Matter and the DNC, in high esteem?

What has become of the Founders’ noble aspirations when Democrats claim to hold the 1st Amendment sacred, but only support free speech when they’re the ones doing the talking; and are ever ready and eager to trample on the religious rights of Christians while promoting those of Muslims?

It doesn’t help that millions of so-called feminists are not so much pro-women as they are anti-male. Otherwise, they would not so fervently support liar-Hillary Clinton, who has spent most of her life aiding and abetting sexual predators, even going back to her early years when, as a young attorney, she crowed about getting a middle-aged client who had raped a child off with a light sentence.

And instead of demonstrating against Donald Trump while wearing silly pink hats that are supposed to represent vaginas, these alleged feminists should be picketing outside the embassies and consulates of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria and all the other Arab and Muslim nations, that promote the subjugation of women.

● Years ago, Carol, the wife of Walter Matthau and the former wife of William Saroyan, was asked to comment about her ex-husband. She said: “Bill loved humanity, but he hated people.”

I not only thought that was one of the pithiest and most profound descriptions of a hypocrite I had ever heard, but that it could serve equally well as an indictment of most liberals.

They pay lip service to Muslims, illegal aliens, so-called indigenous people, urban blacks, campus Nazis, football thugs, homosexuals, transgenders and single women, for no other reason than that they constitute the base of a demonic political party that hates, in no particular order, Christians, white gun owners, black and Hispanic conservatives, Israel, cops, the military, constitutionalists and patriots.

● The failure of Cyrus Vance, New York City’s D.A., to prosecute Harvey Weinstein may not be as bad as the NY Times and NBC spiking decades-old stories about Weinstein’s vile crimes, but it does remind me of something I would do if I somehow found myself in possession of a billion dollars.

As you may recall, in a recent article, I said that if such an enormous sum of money was dropped in my lap, I would dispose of it as quickly as I could, giving a few cash gifts to friends, financing a cure for Alzheimer’s and endowing a pediatric hospital. It slipped my mind, but one other use to which I’d put the money would be to fund the recall elections of those judges who give wrist slaps to rapists and child abusers. Just recently, some demented jurist in Michigan granted parental visitation rights to a twice-convicted rapist who had impregnated a 12-year-old victim.

When judges make those sorts of delusional decisions from the bench, they are telling us far more about their own dementia than they are about the various flaws and failings of the American legal system.

● Sometimes when I see a left-wing politician on Fox trying to debate with Tucker Carlson, I wonder if they go home and watch themselves on TV and wind up banging their head against the wall and wailing: “Why didn’t someone stop me? God, why didn’t you strike me dead or at least break my leg on my way to the studio?”

Just the other night, after Carlson had pointed out that when it comes to the number of murders committed by young black men, a glaring problem that politicians always avoid mentioning is the absence of black fathers in the homes of their children.

The alderman actually said the reason for their absence is that, although blacks only represent 14% of the state’s population, they represent 65% of the prison inmates, and “that’s why the kids don’t have fathers at home providing for their families.”

It sounded so ludicrous, I re-played the exchange a second time to make sure I had heard it right the first time. In other words, it’s all because white society insists on jailing criminals that black children are being deprived of their fathers!

In a way, it was reminiscent of the apocryphal tale of the man who murdered his parents and then threw himself on the mercy of the court because he was now (sniffle, sniffle) an orphan.

● If you recall, one of my readers had written to complain that congressmen could start receiving a pension even if they had only served a year in the House. I let him know I was pretty certain that the minimum requirement was five years.

I’m happy to report I was right. A second subscriber, Ralph Irish, a proud resident of Shelby Township, Michigan, sent me the following information:

“Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at the age of 62 if they have completed at least five years of service. Members are eligible for a pension at age 50 if they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service. The amount of the pension depends on years of service and the average of the highest three years of salary. By law, the starting amount of a Member’s retirement annuity may not exceed 80% of his or her final salary.”

But as I remarked earlier, if after five years on the job, they haven’t gotten rich through cash bribes or insider trading on the stock market, they really haven’t been trying.

● I am all for a strong military and a Pentagon budget equal to its actual needs in a very dangerous world, but when I hear that we currently have 180,000 troops stationed in 140 nations, which works out to an average of 1,286 troops per country, I can’t help wondering what possible good they’re doing. I mean, aside from propping up 140 foreign economies with our tax dollars.

● Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to say farewell to a man who was a friend of mine for nearly 50 years. I refer to Merrill Heatter, who was the creator and co-producer of a score of TV game shows, including “Gambit,” “High Roller” and “Hollywood Squares.”

And just in case some of you old-timers are curious, Gabriel Heatter was Merrill’s uncle, not his father.

“Hollywood Squares” was so successful that for a long time, it not only ran five days a week, but was also a nighttime hit. It was essentially tic-tac-toe, but inside the nine boxes was a mix of different minor celebrities. While Paul Lynde, Cliff Arquette under the persona of the rustic Charley Weaver, Rose Marie and Wally Cox, were generally in attendance, they would be augmented by the likes of Jim Backus, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Kaye Ballard, Morey Amsterdam, Abby Dalton, Marty Allen, Charo, Soupy Sales, Mike Connors and Judy Carne, while Peter Marshall, Joanne Dru’s brother in real life, held forth as the affable host.

What made the show the long-lasting hit it was were the funny, often risqué, lines the celebrities would ad lib. But as was the case with Groucho Marx’s quiz show, “You Bet Your Life,” those lines were ad-libbed only in the sense that Hamlet’s soliloquy was ad-libbed. In the one case, William Shakespeare was the source. In the case of “Hollywood Squares,” the lines were usually the work of my madcap friend, Merrill Heatter.

One day, when I asked Merrill which of the Q's and A’s he had come up he thought were the funniest, he gave me the following three.

“Once, Marty Allen was asked what a person from Philadelphia was most likely to dip his pretzel in, and, instead of mustard, said: A girl from New Jersey.”

“Paul Lynde, when asked if anything could bring a monkey to tears, said: Learning that Tarzan swings both ways.”

“And once, in response to the line that, according to archaeologists, a pea can last 5,000 years, George Gobel said: Sometimes it sure seems that way.”

If up until now there have not been any game shows in Heaven, I have a feeling all of that is about to change.

{rickwells.us} ~ As time goes by President Trump is learning who his friends are and so are the American people. Undoubtedly there are more... but nineteen of them have acted in his interest and that of America in attempting to rein in the rogue “investigation of everything based upon evidence of nothing,” the Mueller Russia witch hunt. On Friday, nineteen members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to the chairmen of both the House and Senate Judiciary Committees asking for hearings into the Mueller probe. They cited its lack of oversight, ever-expanding scope and conflicts of interest as just some of the serious problems that justify such an action. The letter, sent to Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Rep Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), seeks congressional hearings to keep special counsel Robert Mueller and his team of ravenous anti-Trump, political hack lawyers accountable. Some might argue to make them accountable or remind them of and restricting them to their supposed mission would be a more accurate, albeit less politically friendly way of putting it...  https://rickwells.us/19-congressmen-hearings-mueller/

In the new "reconciliation" agreement between Hamas and Fatah,
all that Hamas is being asked to do is to allow the Palestinian
Authority government to manage civilian affairs in the Gaza Strip
by Bassam Tawil
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Buoyed by the "reconciliation" agreement reached with President Mahmoud Abbas's Palestinian Authority (PA), Hamas has announced that it seeks to unite all Palestinians in the fight against the "Zionist enterprise."... In other words, Hamas views the agreement as a vehicle for rallying Palestinians behind it toward achieving its longtime goal of destroying Israel. When Hamas talks about the "Zionist enterprise," it is referring to the establishment of Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. Hamas is not only opposed to the existence of Israel on what it and most Muslims perceive as "Muslim-owned" land; it reiterates, at every opportunity, its desire to annihilate Israel. Those who think that the new "reconciliation" accord will have a moderating effect of Hamas are both blind and deaf to what Hamas itself has been stating both before and after the agreement. One has to give Hamas credit for being clear, honest and consistent about its goal of destroying Israel...   https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11169/palestinians-unity

SCIENCE VS. RELIGION
by Burt Prelutsky

In a speech delivered by Michael Ward, a professor at Houston Baptist University, he made some salient points in the ongoing feud between science and religion.

He said: “Religion tends to get a bad rap these days, and from two directions. On the one hand, we hear people say that they’re spiritual, not religious; meaning they’re not interested in religiosity, by which they mean ritualism, the externals of faith. On the other hand, some people take ‘religion’ to mean superstition, even fanaticism, as when Richard Dawkins said that ‘religion flies planes into buildings, but science flies rockets to the moon.’

“That is one of the most fatuous things I’ve ever heard said by an Oxford professor,” Professor Ward reported. “Why is it fatuous? Firstly, because religion and science -- being abstract nouns, not people -- don’t actually do anything, good or bad; they’re not agents. And secondly because, if we’re going to play that game of assigning agency to abstract nouns, one might just as well say ‘Religion gives us Mother Teresa, but science gives us mustard gas.’”

● On a similar note, it has been said that Heaven has a gate, a wall and very extreme vetting. Does that make God a racist?

● I have often suggested that college is America’s biggest con game. Partly that’s because it is terribly expensive, although there’s no reason for it to be. After all, the only essential elements are rooms with chairs, textbooks, notebooks and teachers. All are relatively cheap items; it’s only the absurd markup done solely at the discretion of interested parties that prices the four years beyond the means of the middleclass.

It is the college, itself, that adds the unnecessary costs, rather like politicians determining their own salaries. For openers, there are the sports programs.  Although it is argued that football and basketball not only pay for themselves and the enormous salaries doled out to coaches, but also cover, at least in some cases, the other athletic activities. The question is why such activities need to be subsidized by the college.

Young people have plenty of public parks and swimming pools accessible to those who wish to play golf, volleyball, baseball, etc., when they’re not in class or doing homework.

There is also no reason for the colleges to keep an army of gardeners on hand to maintain the landscape. These same young people have attended grade schools, middle schools and high schools for a dozen years, and never complained about their surroundings. Suddenly, at the age of 18, they require expansive lawns, shade trees and picnic areas? What’s that all about?

Also, why do professors require six-figure salaries. Most of them only teach a few classes for a few hours a week, spending the rest of their time working on research and writing books that will augment their income. Why are they being paid three or four or five times what middle school teachers are making. At least in middle school, the students are learning something that, ideally, provides a stepping stone to the next level of education.

That brings me to the biggest con of all. Colleges force parents and students to go into debt, but they offer a plethora of classes that will not prepare the graduates to make a living, which, in turn, would allow them to repay their debts.

Academics pretend that college is an end in itself, and that a college degree provides an Open Sesame to the wonders and riches of the world. What it actually provides is a bunch of brainless, gutless, college administrators, and professors who are better suited to be crossing guards than educators, with large salaries and fat pensions.

If you graduate from college and go on to become a lawyer, a doctor, an accountant, a physicist, an engineer or a computer programmer, there is a good chance, you will be able to find a job. However, if after four years and a mountain of debt, you majored in Black Studies, Hispanic Studies, Lesbian Studies, Sociology, Sexology or Literature, you are no more employable than you were when you left grammar school.

There’s no law that says you can’t study all that other stuff on your own. That’s why there are libraries and computers.

But, if nothing else is learned during those pricey four years, if the young graduate hasn’t grasped that the only diversity that really matters isn’t that of race, religion, class or gender, but ideas, he is even more ignorant than he used to be; and if he doesn’t understand that with equal rights come equal responsibilities, it’s safe to say his career opportunities are limited to politics, social work and show biz.

You may have noticed I didn’t mention that after four years, the youngster would not only be unemployable, but will have been propagandized in leftwing ideology to such a degree he will almost certainly despise America, the Founding Fathers, Christianity, Judaism, capitalism, Israel, his conservative parents and relatives, and will have had his critical judgment, along with his sense of humor, surgically removed.

The reason I didn’t mention any of that stuff was because I didn’t wish to appear to be piling on. But, as you see, I changed my mind.

● Why do I still have to keep remembering various passwords in order to use my computer? If the State Department, the Pentagon, YouTube and Equifax, can’t protect their data, what chance do I have with my silly six-letter two-number code?

● Because my wife and I have done it, I fully understand the desire to donate money to hurricane victims to help them rebuild their homes and their lives.  However, I’m a little vague on the motivation to send money to the victims of major massacres.

I mean, why were millions of dollars sent to the survivors of 9/11 and the recent rampage in Vegas? Every day, your local newspaper reports that one or more families in your own town has lost a loved one to a murderer, but nobody, I’m willing to wager, sits down and writes a check to the family of strangers.

It’s not that I objected to people sending money to the survivors of 9/11, even though most of them collected on life insurance policies, it’s just that it struck me as odd. Particularly as there hadn’t been a similar outpouring of money to the survivors of Timothy McVeigh’s Oklahoma City bombing.

On the other hand, I think that it behooves those of us who spent eight years resenting Barack liar-nObama, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, for, among many other things, showing such obvious contempt for law enforcement, to send a letter or card to the local police department, expressing our gratitude for the job they do.

We all know cops don’t get paid nearly as much as those generally useless academic twerps residing in their well-furnished ivory towers, but it would help if they at least understood that most of us who are not affiliated with the Black Lives Matter movement, Antifa and the Democratic Party, appreciate them.

● Frankly, I hope Homeland Security is doing a better job of vetting the immigrants than Trump has done vetting the members of his administration.

Speaking of which, I recently expressed the wish that Donald Trump would replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions with Rudy Giuliani. Just in case, the President is paying attention, I would also like to see him replace Secretary of State Rex Tillerson with Newt Gingrich, John Bolton, Steve Bannon or possibly even a coatrack.

● An editor named George Lorimer once wisely observed: “It’s good to have money and the things that money can buy; but it’s good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure you haven’t lost the things that money can’t buy.”

● I have no doubt that some of you have noticed that I will often refer in articles to thoughts I’ve shared with you in our email exchanges. In a way, you all served as collaborators because it was something you brought up that triggered a response in me. If I decide that particular something might be of general interest, I’ll generally find a place for it in a future article. I just wanted to express my thanks for your contribution to my content.

● As you’re well aware, thanks to the little notices that have lately been appearing at the bottom of my articles, I am due to give a talk on the 19th of October. The one thing I can predict is that my favorite part of the evening will be the Q & A session that will conclude the event. For one thing, once a question is asked, I know that at least one person in the room is interested in what I have to say. For another, it’s the one time all evening I’m likely to surprise myself by saying something I hadn’t anticipated.

Unfortunately, I can also predict that most people won’t ask their question during the allotted time. Instead, no matter how much I coax them to ask me anything that might be preying on their minds, the majority will just sit there, staring blankly as if waiting for a bus, just waiting for me to descend from the podium. At which point, a dozen or more will get between me and the exit, eager to ply me with questions, the answers to which they believe only they will be privy.

Little do they realize that if I come up with anything even slightly interesting, I will be sharing it with the world.

Waste not, want not, is more than an expression for a writer.  It’s a way of life.

Trump's EO Injects Competition Into liar-nObamaCare
by Political Editors:  On Thursday, President Donald Trump bypassed a weak-kneed Republican Congress and began rolling back liar-nObamaCare with an executive order that injects free market measures into the law. As he signed the order, Trump said, “So this is promoting health care, choice and competition all across the United States. This is going to be something that millions and millions of people will be signing up for and they’re going to be very happy. This will be great health care.” Trump declared that this was the first step in “providing millions of Americans with liar-nObamaCare relief.”

So what does Trump’s executive order accomplish? Primarily, it directs the secretary of labor to consider expanding access to Association Health Plans. This would allow employers the freedom to form groups which offer coverage across state lines. “Insurance companies will be fighting to get every single person signed up,” Trump stated, adding, “And you will hopefully be negotiating, negotiating, negotiating. And you’ll get such low prices for such great care.
Another impact of this order would be that those “association health plans” could be immune from some state and federal insurance requirements. At the same time employers would not be free to exclude employees from their plans based on preexisting conditions, nor charge more to those employees with long-term health issues.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a leading critic of the “Affordable” Care Act, called Trump’s order “the biggest free market reform of health care in a generation.” Paul also stated, “This reform, if it works and goes as planned, will allow millions of people to get insurance across state lines at an inexpensive price.” Indeed, as news continues to come out of more and more insurance companies pulling out of various state-backed liar-nObamaCare exchanges, this is welcome news.
A final note: Trump tweeted yesterday, “Since Congress can’t get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people — FAST.” That “pen” part sounds eerily like Barack liar-nObama, but Trump’s action is substantially different. While Democrats, who controlled Congress at the time liar-nObamaCare passed, deliberately left a lot of the law’s details to be worked out by the administration, Trump is now wielding that same power to undo some of the damage. Live by the pen, die by the pen.

Mad-Maxine Waters Compares Ben Carson To Trump – Supposed To Have A Commie At HUD
{rickwells.us} ~ Dr. Ben Carson received a backhanded, completely unintentional acknowledgment of a job well done from communist Democrat Mad-Maxine Waters... who is upset that he’s not giving away enough of other people’s tax dollars to provide for the lazy who have their butts cemented to a particular neighborhood. They are unwilling to relocate to go to work and that will remain the case as long as HUD provides them with a home that someone else is paying for, which is precisely what she’s demanding more of. They grew up in this Democrat neighborhood, they get free stuff and have plenty of time on their hands. It’s the new American dream. Mad-Waters read the statement someone else surely wrote for her, saying, “In the face of the immense housing needs in our country, President Trump chose Dr. Ben Carson to serve as the head of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.”...  https://rickwells.us/maxine-waters-carson-trump-hud/

Rep Meadows – Eject Duds In
Congress Who Don’t Stand With Trump
{rickwells.us} ~ House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep Mark Meadows (R-NC) knows a thing or two about sending someone packing... It was his motion to “vacate the chair” that eventually led to the retirement of former Speaker John backstabber-Boehner. Meadows spoke at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. and had some similar advice for those in attendance and across America. He may or may not have been speaking of the current enemy within who fills that position, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI), but he, like the rest of Trump supporters, probably wouldn’t be opposed to the idea. But his message of replacing those who are not functioning properly applied to the entire Congress, House and Senate. He points out how under President Trump, “More regulations have been rolled back, substantial regulations have been rolled back in the first nine months of his Presidency than any in modern times.” He asks, “But we need to help him, don’t you think? Don’t you think it’s time Congress quits talking and they start doing? Isn’t it time?”...  https://rickwells.us/meadows-eject-duds-congress-trump/

Writer of Trump’s Russia dossier
slapped with congressional subpoena
by Dan Boylan
{washingtontimes.com} ~ The Republican chairman of the House intelligence committee has subpoenaed the head of the Washington firm that commissioned the sensational anti-Trump campaign research dossier... adding fresh intensity to the behind-the-scenes scramble among lawmakers to grasp how the infamous document fits into the Russian election meddling investigation. The subpoena issued for Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson comes as special counsel Robert Mueller’s separate investigation interviewed the former British spy, Christopher Steele, who worked with Mr. Simpson in compiling the dossier of negative intelligence on Mr. Trump. The CIA and FBI saw the dossier’s allegations as so sensational and sensitive last year that they excluded any mention of it from the intelligence community’s highly publicized accusations back in January about Russian meddling in the 2016 election...  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/oct/11/trump-dossier-leads-to-subpoena-of-firm-that-put-i/

Journo grills liar-Clinton for
‘still blaming others more than yourself’
by Chris Enloe
{theblaze.com} ~ While on a tour promoting her new book about her failed presidential campaign, liar-Hillary Clinton was grilled by British journalist Matt Frei... for continuing to lay blame on others for her loss to Donald Trump last November. Frei also debunked liar-Clinton’s claim that her gender played a role in her loss, telling liar-Clinton that voters more weighed who she is versus which genitals she was born with. “Your dynastic appeal or perhaps it was the opposite: The fact that you were called liar-Clinton, the fact that you were first lady basically trumped any novelty — if you forgive the term — of being the first female president of the United States. People looked at your name and your legacy more than they looked at your gender,” Frei said...  http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/10/14/journo-grills-clinton-for-still-blaming-others-more-than-yourself-her-response-speaks-volumes

The Culture of Death—and of Disdain
by Peggy Noonan

{peggynoonan.com} ~ When news broke at Christmastime five years ago of what had happened at Newtown a friend, a news anchor, called and said with a broken voice: “What is the word for what we feel?” I thought for a moment. “Shattered,” I said. “We are shattered, all of us.” When people in ensuing days spoke of what had been done to the little children in the classrooms, I’d put up my hands and say no, we can’t keep putting those words in the air, we can’t afford it. When terrible images enter our heads and settle in, they become too real, and what is real is soon, by the unstable, imitated, repeated.

When Columbine happened in the spring of 1999, it hit me like a wave of sickness. I wrote a piece about the culture of death that produced the teenage shooters: “Think of it this way. Your child is an intelligent little fish. He swims in deep water. Waves of sound and sight, of thought and fact, come invisibly through that water, like radar. . . . The sound from the television is a wave, and the sound from the radio; the headlines on the newsstand, on the magazines, on the ad on the bus as it whizzes by—all are waves. The fish—your child—is bombarded and barely knows it. But the waves contain words like this, which I’ll limit to only one source, the news:

“. . . was found strangled and is believed to have been sexually molested . . . had her breast implants removed . . . took the stand to say the killer was smiling the day the show aired . . . said the procedure is, in fact, legal infanticide . . . is thought to be connected to earlier sexual activity among teens . . . court battle over who owns the frozen sperm . . . contains songs that call for dominating and even imprisoning women . . . died of lethal injection . . . had threatened to kill her children . . . had asked Kevorkian for help in killing himself . . . protested the game, which they said has gone beyond violence to sadism . . . showed no remorse . . . which is about a wager over whether he could sleep with another student . . .

“This is the ocean in which our children swim. This is the sound of our culture. It comes from all parts of our culture and reaches all parts of our culture, and all the people in it, which is everybody.”

We were bringing up our children in an unwell atmosphere. It would enter and distort them. Could we turn this around?

And here is the horror for me of Las Vegas: I was not shattered. That shatters me.

It was just another terrible story. It is not the new normal it is the new abnormal and deep down we know it’s not going to stop. There is too much instability in our country, too much rage and lovelessness, too many weapons.

On television, the terrible sameness. We all know the postmassacre drill now. The shocked witness knows exactly what the anchor needs and speaks in rounded, 20-second bursts. Activists have their bullet-point arguments ready because they used them last time and then saved them in a file called “Aurora,” “Virginia Tech” or “Giffords, Gabby.”

We are stuck, the debate frozen. The right honestly doesn’t understand why the left keeps insisting on reforms that won’t help. The left honestly doesn’t understand how much yearning there is among so many conservatives to do something, try something, make it better. They don’t want their kids growing up in a world where madmen have guns that shoot nine rounds a second. Many this week at least agreed bump stocks can be banned. It probably won’t help much. But if it helps just a little, for God’s sake, do it.

But: Why do so many Americans have guns? I don’t mean those who like to hunt and shoot or live far out and need protection. I don’t mean those who’ve been handed down the guns of their grandfather or father. Why do a significant number of Americans have so many guns?

Wouldn’t it help if we thought about that?

I think a lot of Americans have guns because they’re fearful—and for damn good reason. They fear a coming chaos, and know that when it happens it will be coming to a nation that no longer coheres. They think it’s all collapsing—our society, our culture, the baseline competence of our leadership class. They see the cultural infrastructure giving way—illegitimacy, abused children, neglect, racial tensions, kids on opioids staring at screens—and, unlike their cultural superiors, they understand the implications.

They won’t go down without a fight.

Americans have so many guns because drug gangs roam the streets, because they have less trust in their neighbors, because they read Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road.” Because all of their personal and financial information got hacked in the latest breach, because our country’s real overlords are in Silicon Valley and appear to be moral Martians who operate on some weird new postmodern ethical wavelength. And they’ll be the ones programming the robots that’ll soon take all the jobs! Maybe the robots will all look like Mark Zuckerberg, like those eyeless busts of Roman Emperors. Our leaders don’t even think about this technological revolution. They’re too busy with transgender rights.

Americans have so many guns because they know the water their children swim in hasn’t gotten cleaner since Columbine, but more polluted and lethal.

The establishments and elites that create our political and entertainment culture have no idea how fragile it all is—how fragile it seems to people living normal, less privileged lives. That is because nothing is fragile for them. They’re barricaded behind the things the influential have, from good neighborhoods to security alarms, doormen and gates. They’re not dark in their imagining of the future because history has never been dark for them; it’s been sunshine, which they expect to continue. They sail on, oblivious to the legitimate anxieties of their countrymen who live near the edge.

Those who create our culture feel free to lecture normal Americans—on news shows, on late night comedy shows. Why do they have such a propensity for violence? What is their love for guns? Why do they join the National Rifle Association? The influential grind away with their disdain for their fellow Americans, whom they seem less to want to help than to dominate: Give up your gun, bake my cake, free speech isn’t free if what you’re saying triggers us.

Would it help if we tried less censure and more cultural affiliation? Might it help if we started working on problems that are real? Sure. But why lower the temperature when there’s such easy pleasure to be had in ridiculing your mindless and benighted countrymen?

New York City: Muslim surgeon in jihad plot says “it would be a great pleasure if we could slaughter” city’s Jews

The Qur’an depicts the Jews as inveterately evil and bent on destroying the well-being of the Muslims. They are the strongest of all people in enmity toward the Muslims (5:82); they fabricate things and falsely ascribe them to Allah (2:79; 3:75, 3:181); they claim that Allah’s power is limited (5:64); they love to listen to lies (5:41); they disobey Allah and never observe his commands (5:13). They are disputing and quarreling (2:247); hiding the truth and misleading people (3:78); staging rebellion against the prophets and rejecting their guidance (2:55); being hypocritical (2:14, 2:44); giving preference to their own interests over the teachings of Muhammad (2:87); wishing evil for people and trying to mislead them (2:109); feeling pain when others are happy or fortunate (3:120); being arrogant about their being Allah’s beloved people (5:18); devouring people’s wealth by subterfuge (4:161); slandering the true religion and being cursed by Allah (4:46); killing the prophets (2:61); being merciless and heartless (2:74); never keeping their promises or fulfilling their words (2:100); being unrestrained in committing sins (5:79); being cowardly (59:13-14); being miserly (4:53); being transformed into apes and pigs for breaking the Sabbath (2:63-65; 5:59-60; 7:166); and more. They are under Allah’s curse (9:30), and Muslims should wage war against them and subjugate them under Islamic hegemony (9:29).

“Filipino doctor accused of plotting terror attacks in NYC was arrested months ago in the Philippines,” by Larry McShane, New York Daily News, October 7, 2017 (thanks to Andrew Bostom):

An orthopedic surgeon charged in a foiled Manhattan terror plot was arrested earlier this year for the ISIS-linked abduction and beheadings of two Filipino workers.

Dr. Russell Salic could face charges in the horrific Philippines attacks before authorities agree to extradite the accused terrorist to face charges in the United States, authorities said Saturday….

Prosecutors charged Salic with murder and kidnapping in the April 2016 abductions of a half-dozen sawmill workers.

Two of the men were later beheaded, with the surviving workers identifying the Philippines-based physician as a participant in the seizure of the group. He was taken into custody this past April, and made his first court appearance in August.

Salic, known to his alleged New York co-conspirators as “The Doctor,” plotted “to carry out potentially devastating terrorist attacks in New York City . . . in the name of (ISIS),” court papers charged.

Salic stands accused of helping to finance plots targeting Times Square, the city’s subway system and New York concert venues, according to federal prosecutors.

The doctor agreed to send money via Western Union in May 2016 for the purchase of suicide belts and expressed his plans to provide more cash for the New York plots, prosecutors allege.

The same month, the doctor gleefully advocated the killings of New York City’s Jewish residents. “It would be a great pleasure if we could slaughter them,” he told an undercover law enforcement agent, according to prosecutors.

{rickwells.us} ~ liar-Hillary Clinton just can’t help but draw attention to her own family’s transgressions, although when you’ve got as much baggage as they do, discussing any criminal activity likely has a liar-Clinton connection... Still, she does seem to spend a lot of time with one or two of her feet stuffed inside her cackle hole. In an interview with BBC’s Andrew Marr on Friday, liar-Clinton was asked about her good friend Harvey Weinstein and his alleged predatory sexual acts. As liar-Clinton attempted to diminish the sexual assaults and other transgressions she attempted to falsely equate them with President Trump’s Access Hollywood locker room talk. Clinton repeated the terminology used in her written statement, saying that she was “Shocked and appalled” by the charges against Weinstein. She was neither shocked or appalled by the decades of sexual harassment, as it was an open secret she was surely, at a minimum, aware of. Her response is merely one of self defense, to provide the illusion that she might not condone or be indifferent to his actions, as the “champion of women.”...  https://rickwells.us/clinton-trump-predators-intimate/

Bedouin men in Abu Dhabi
by Philip Carl Salzman
{gatestoneinstitute.org} ~ Living as an anthropologist in a herding camp of the Yarahmadzai tribe of nomadic pastoralists in the deserts of Iranian Baluchistan clarified some of the inhibitions to peace in the Middle East... What one sees is strong, kin-based, group loyalty defense and solidarity, and the political opposition of lineages, whether large or small. This raised the question how unity and peace could arrive in a system based on opposition. Peace is not possible in the Middle East because values and goals other than peace are more important to Middle Easterners. Most important to Middle Easterners are loyalty to kin, clan, and cult, and the honour which is won by such loyalty. These are the cultural imperatives, the primary values, held and celebrated. When conflict arises and conflict-parties form based on loyal allegiance, the conflict is regarded as appropriate and proper...  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11117/middle-east-tribal-culture

Democrats Are Two-Faced on Immigration
xNxqzyCKSIlhtgJx1mEyyqcReF85BSTDE1KCGko0mRyCgpIpYw2EZr6-HtJp__-Oc33a62qSSB610eLfYGc3HgusWHpQPE1PG8zR8Pqrf5LzbKotchVAGOkd68BMEM4=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Brian Mark Weber:  Comprehensive immigration reform.

We hear it all the time from politicians of both parties. But does anyone ask what it really means? To Democrats, the term means little more than the appeasement of immigrant groups in the hope of a payback in the voting booth.
Testablishment Republicans like RINO-John McCain, RINO-Susan Collins, Lindsay Graham and others, reform means parroting Democrat talking points in order to appear friendly to illegal immigrants.
For years, talk of reforming immigration policy seemed to be just that: talk. But when Donald Trump came to town with a promise to build a wall along our southern border, real reform seemed possible for the first time in years.
But then President Trump had that meeting with Nancy Pulosi and Chuck clown-Schumer.
While some conservatives were despondent over President Trump’s apparent cave-in on DACA, it appears that Trump used his “art of the deal” strategy to place Democrats in a tough spot. Any worry about Trump giving into the other side was cast aside recently when he unveiled a 70-point strategy to end our nation’s loopholes in immigration policy.
Moving forward, Democrats basically have three options – and none works out well for their electoral ambitions.
First, they can fight Trump’s push for stricter enforcement and a border wall by passing DACA legislation. This would entail some serious risks. After all, more than 60 million Americans just elected a president on his promise to build a wall, an election that left the Democrat Party as powerless as it has been in nearly a century. So don’t expect Democrats to put forth a DACA bill anytime soon.
The second option entails Democrats working with Trump to get some aspects of DACA into law. But this would necessitate giving in to some of the president’s demands and would infuriate the Democrats’ raging #Resist constituency, which lives to oppose Trump at every turn.
Third, the other path that Democrats can take is to pander to immigrant groups on the surface while doing little to actually aid their cause. As Mark Alexander has argued for years, this is their preferred and incredibly cynical strategy — perhaps more so now that Democrats have little political clout with which to work.
Jonathan Tobin writes in National Review, “Though clown-Schumer and Pulosi may think widespread public support for relief for the Dreamers gives their party the whip hand in talks with Trump, the Democrats actually have little leverage over the president on this issue. If they want a legislative fix that keeps DACA alive, they are going to have to make substantial concessions to the White House and the Republican congressional leadership — both of which need to show the GOP base that they are serious about curbing illegal immigration.
Tobin goes on to characterize the current Democrat predicament as one in which they have to choose between fighting for their constituency and fighting against Trump. Right now, they’re opting for taking down Trump, but even this has eased up in recent weeks as Democrats realize two things: Trump’s base of support is fiercely loyal, and working-class voters in blue states are growing increasingly frustrated with a party that bends over backwards for illegal immigrants but doesn’t seem to give a lick about jobs or wages for American citizens.
Indeed, a huge problem for Democrats is that working-class voters are moving away in droves over fear that immigrants are taking their jobs and hampering the growth of their wages.
These “Dreamers” are, in effect, killing the American Dream, and Americans know it.
So while the Leftmedia continuously pontificates about the rupture in the Republican Party between its establishment and its “Steve Bannon” wing, a real divide exists in the Democrat Party, too — and any negotiation with Trump will be met with fury.
Seriously. If you want to see the Left truly lose its collective mind, just wait until “clown-Chuck and Nancy” announce that in exchange for leniency regarding the Dreamers, they’ve agreed to build Donald Trump’s big, beautiful wall. (They’ve come a long way in the 10 years since they all supported the wall.) In the end, they may not go that far in negotiating with Trump, but they’re not going to push too hard for DACA. And here’s why:
Writing for The New York Times, Thomas B. Edsall opines, “The problem for those calling for the enactment of liberal policies, however, is that immigration is a voting issue for a minority of the electorate. And among those who say immigration is their top issue, opponents outnumber supporters by nearly two to one. In this respect, immigration is similar to gun control — both mobilize opponents more than supporters.” Edsall adds, “Among the 13 percent of voters who identified immigration as the most important issue, Trump won, 64-33. This data demonstrates a key element in the politics of immigration.
So what’s the endgame for Democrats? Were they to regain majorities in the House and Senate, one might assume that they would open the floodgates and usher in a new wave of illegals. But the political landscape has changed, and Democrats know it. They’re hemorrhaging working-class voters and simply can’t bring themselves to actually vote for DACA despite their public defense of the program.
Democrats are thus likely to continue to pander to the Latino community and other constituencies in the hope that it translates into more political power down the road. So much for caring about the fate of the Dreamers.
President Trump now has the upper hand in the art of the immigration deal, and he just called the Democrats’ bluff.  ~The Patriot Pos

by David Limbaugh
{wnd.com} ~ Please join me on a whirlwind superficial but revealing tour of liberal la-la land as we peek at recent headlines. Meanwhile, liberals call conservatives wingnuts.

Singer Nancy Sinatra tweeted, "The murderous members of the NRA should face a firing squad." One wonders whether in her rendering, "murderous" is redundant. One might also wonder whether she thinks other murderous people should be exempt from or perhaps face a less humiliating form of execution.

Responding to Michelle liar-nObama's claim that people are distrustful of politics because the GOP is "all men, all white," Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, said, "I don't know if she noticed, but I am not white and I am not a male." To clarify, in case you are wondering, in this example, Michelle liar-nObama is the inhabitant of la-la land.

Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, who is running for the Senate seat currently held by Bob Corker, encountered Twitter's speech police when trying to place an ad saying, "I fought Planned Parenthood, and we stopped the sale of baby body parts." Twitter's thought cops said the claim was "deemed an inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a strong negative reaction." They magnanimously assured her that they'd run the ad if she removed the offending statement. If Twitter brass were truly concerned about tweets evoking "a strong negative reaction," the executives would save themselves time and just shut the whole operation down. If you use Twitter much, you know that evoking such reactions is virtually guaranteed in cultural and political tweets, which populate Twitter by the millions every day. It would be much easier to interact with leftists if they could at least be honest with themselves and others about what they are doing in these situations. They have no problem with tweets evoking strong negative reactions from conservatives. But you knew that.

ESPN anchor Jemele Hill last month faced no consequences for calling President Trump a white supremacist but was suspended for two weeks when she urged fans to boycott NFL advertisers because Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had threatened to bench players who refuse to stand during the national anthem. "Change happens when advertisers are impacted," she tweeted. "If you strongly reject what Jerry Jones said, the key is his advertisers. Don't place the burden squarely on the players." Twitter moguls apparently didn't deem Hill's tweets as likely to evoke a strong negative reaction. I wonder whether Hill would agree that her employer's reaction was neither strong nor negative. One person who doubtlessly wouldn't regard Hill's tweet as negative is ESPN's Michael Wilbon, who compared Jones to a slave owner because of his action.

The Daily Wire reported that activists of Abolish Human Abortion were booted from Bedlam Coffee in Seattle because the gay owner couldn't tolerate their presence. After asking members of the group whether they would tolerate his bringing his boyfriend in the shop and performing sex acts with him in front of them, he told them, "Well, then I don't have to f---ing tolerate this! Then leave -- all of you! Tell all your f---ing friends, 'Don't f---ing come here'!" I have no real problem with owners serving whom they choose in a free market, but I'll note that it's unlikely that we'll hear outcries from the left complaining about this discriminatory treatment because here those being denied service were not asking for a wedding cake for a same-sex marriage ceremony.

In case you haven't heard of the concept of "cultural appropriation," it is the use of certain aspects of a certain culture by another culture, which, to those who use the term, is a bad thing. Who thinks this way? But I digress. University of Texas cultural studies professor Luis Urrieta has taken the concept to a new level. Urrieta noted that these appropriations have "many economic, social and symbolic repercussions. The first is obviously the theft of intellectual property, the theft of communal knowledge. ... Socially, it reduces native and indigenous peoples to 'artifacts' that can be worn, used, consumed and displayed." A few examples of what they mean by "appropriation" will suffice to illustrate. The University of California, Merced told fraternities and sororities they should avoid using the terms "Greek," "rush" and "pledge" because they are appropriations of Greek culture. And at San Francisco State University, an African-American student reportedly attacked a white student because his hair was in dreadlocks. No, you really can't make this stuff up. "Appropriation is a form of theft," said Urrieta. "It is a nice way of saying that someone is taking someone else's idea and making it their own." In my humble view, the burden of defending such Twilight Zonery is on any who would defend it, but maybe I'm just old-fashioned. In case you think Urrieta is merely an outlier, another professor, Rachel V. Gonzalez-Martin, described cultural appropriation as "cultural poaching." If you're still thinking "outliers," the University of Michigan advertised to recruit a person -- at an annual salary of $50,000 -- to handle "cultural appropriation prevention activities." Don't laugh; this isn't satire.

Finally, California Gov. Jerry Brown recently signed legislation lowering from a felony to a misdemeanor the act of knowingly exposing a sexual partner to HIV without disclosing the infection to the person. Also protected by this outrageously reckless nod to political correctness are those who give blood without revealing their infection. Here I can't say "there are no words," because there are plenty, but I've run out of space.

For the same reason, I must omit tons of other examples, but in mitigation for this inadequacy, I think it is only fair that I get props for not opining on the Harvey Weinstein scandal, trusting that the news saturation on this story has reached your homes.

George P. Bush Is ‘Re-Imagining’ Reality With A ‘Kinder, Gentler’ Alamo*

By John Griffing

George P. Bush  Texas Land Commissioner

"Texas and its most sacred and iconic historical sites — like the Alamo — are under constant attack by patronizing pseudo-intellectuals who only seem to care about history when it involves blind and uncritical acceptance of “alternative facts” about our state’s past.

"Historians now “know” that the Lone Star State (along with the entire American Southwest) is built on land “stolen” from Mexico, that Jim Bowie was a staggering drunk and that Davy Crockett “may” have surrendered to the Mexican Army instead of being killed in action swinging “Old Betsy.”

"For some, these “alternative facts” make the Alamo a symbol of racism and imperialism that should be “re-imagined,” at least according to the Texas Land Office.

"That’s what the “Reimagining the Alamo” project directed and supervised by political neophyte and Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush is all about.

"The site will no longer be known as the place where Texas fought for its freedom. As the Reimagine the Alamo “master plan” explains, the rationale for the Texas revolution is morally equivalent to historic Mexican oppression, and time should also be shared with Franciscan friars and Native Americans.

{rickwells.us} ~ The White House may be delivering the final knockout blow to an adversary of the American people that is already disoriented, staggering, swollen and bleeding profusely... The announcement has been made, it’s being taken off of artificial life support. The end can’t be far off.  Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement late Thursday saying that the administration has completed its evaluation of “cost sharing” wealth redistribution payments the liar-nObama regime had been making to insurance exchanges and which the Trump administration had continued as they were being evaluated, to this point. With the determination that they are illegal, once discontinued, the system will die on its own. Congress had specifically denied the liar-nObamacare subsidy payments but in his customary dictatorial manner, the communist wealth redistributor liar-nObama ordered them to me made without any legal authority, simply by virtue of his decree. A court rebuked him for doing so, stating that he had overstepped his authority, something which probably evoked a schoolgirl giggle from the former squatter in the White House...  https://rickwells.us/trump-pulls-plug-illegal-obamacare/

{rickwells.us} ~ Despite President Trump tweeting to the contrary and other mixed messaging coming out of the rudderless, drifting NFL... the organization announced on Friday that it has no plans to require its pampered prima donna employees to stand for the national anthem. Goodell will, for the time being, continue to permit them to insult the fans and disrespect the flag. Essentially, the owners are joining their hired thugs in attacks on America and Americans and our national symbols, as it is their representatives, while being paid and in their uniforms, who are engaged in the vile conduct. The NFL said on Friday it has no plans to mandate that players stand for our national anthem, but is looking for a way out that will allow them to attack the American people as being privileged racists without actually using the flag or anthem of America in the manner they are now enabling them to do. Somehow we’re supposed to see that as a solution... https://rickwells.us/nfl-players-stand-goodell-idea/

West Point Digs Deeper Hole on Cadet Communist
LJR1JODj8zNRHXQKCWO2OcKAKNXcyNz1Qa08jdDyVvO-xDc86xd3_s__2OiqppIYiwX7LYgDwwAFwI965iPNF7O1Smpv-mgmXKzkZyQ13Mx96Nm7J_I_JahPhl7iCXk=s0-d-e1-ft#%3Ca%20rel%3Dnofollow%20href=?width=500by Mark Alexander:  Two weeks ago, I wrote about a West Point 2016 graduate, now-2LT Spenser Rapone, who, despite his brash history displaying contempt for our nation, and his advocacy for communism, was allowed to graduate. As I noted, now-retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Robert Heffington, an Academy history professor in 2015, had issued a sworn affidavit alerting senior USMA command about Rapone.

In his complaint LTC Heffington concluded, “I cannot reconcile the image of a first class cadet at West Point with the things he has posted online for the world to see. To me, these are red flags that cannot be ignored, and I fail to see how this individual can possibly graduate and become a commissioned officer in six months.” But they did ignore it.
More recently, Rapone, now assigned to the 10th Mountain Division in Fort Drum, has boldly posted his hatred for his commander in chief, SecDef James Mattis, and other senior military leadership on public social media accounts. That constitutes a clear and overt UCMJ Article 88 violation: “Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense … shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
West Point command responded to the exposure of Rapone’s insubordination and UCMJ violations with an official statement asserting, “Rapone’s actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army,” and that “Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter.
Responding to that lame assertion, LTC Heffington sent a letter to his USMA class of 1997, noting his “intense devotion and loyalty to West Point,” but detailing the inaction over Rapone and how that reflected the degraded “leadership” culture at West Point.
Heffington wrote, “I firmly believe West Point is a national treasure and that it can and should remain a vitally important source of well trained, disciplined, highly educated Army officers and civilian leaders. However, during my time on the West Point faculty … I personally witnessed a series of fundamental changes at West Point that have eroded it to the point where I question whether the institution should even remain open. The recent coverage of 2LT Spenser Rapone — an avowed Communist and sworn enemy of the United States — dramatically highlighted this disturbing trend. Given my recent tenure on the West Point faculty and my direct interactions with Rapone, his ‘mentors,’ and with the Academy’s leadership, I believe I can shed light on how someone like Rapone could possibly graduate.
However, Rapone’s case is just the latest indicator of military academy degradation under Barack liar-nObama’s regime. Recall that The Patriot Post took on the command staff at the Air Force Academy in 2012, when liar-nObama’s appointees there quietly endeavored to remove “So Help Me God” from oaths in the cadet handbook “to Support and Defend” our Constitution.
Responding to LTC Heffington, USMA Superintendent, LTG Robert Caslen, appointed by liar-nObama in 2013, issued a formal statement, noting that he had been inundated with protests by USMA alumni, but could not say anything while investigations were being conducted. According to Caslen, “Responding to concerns raised about the quality of JSMA graduates takes time, which includes gathering all the facts and taking a hard look at whether USMA is doing everything it can to develop leaders of character…
Caslen appealed, “Help me prevent the negativity associated with the alleged behavior of one graduate,” and insisted the actions of one don’t reflect the culture at USMA and code of “Honor, Duty and Country.”
On this point, I would agree with Caslen, but the issue is not 2LT Rapone. He came to USMA from the enlisted ranks, having previously deployed to Afghanistan as an Army Ranger with the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Notably, he was “released for standards” from his regiment, meaning there were performance or conduct issues. He gained acceptance to USMA with the endorsement of Rep. Jason Altmire (D-PA), who has since attempted to distance himself from Rapone. I believe Rapone is likely suffering some pathology.
Again, LTG Robert Caslen’s assertions notwithstanding, Rapone is NOT the problem, and in the words of a wise old mentor, “When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
Bottom line: The investigation that needed to be done was two years ago, based on LTC Heffington’s original affidavit concerning Rapone. The investigation that really needs to be conducted now is why that didn’t happen — and of much greater significance, determining how deep liar-nObama’s deep-state socialists have been imbedded in the ranks of American military leadership.  ~The Patriot Pos

by Pat Buchanan
{townhall.com} ~ Three decades ago, as communications director in the White House, I set up an interview for Bill Rusher of National Review.

Among his first questions to President Reagan was to ask him to assess the political importance of Barry Goldwater. Said Reagan, "I guess you could call him the John the Baptist of our movement."

I resisted the temptation to lean in and ask, "Sir, if Barry Goldwater is John the Baptist, who would that make you?"

What brings the moment back is Laura Ingraham's new book: "Billionaire at the Barricades: The Populist Revolution from Reagan to Trump." Thesis: Donald Trump is a conservative populist and direct descendant and rightful heir to Ronald Reagan.

To never-Trumpers this is pure blasphemy. Yet the similarities are there.

Both men were outsiders, and neither a career politician. Raised Democratic, Reagan had been a Hollywood actor, union leader and voice of GE, before running for governor of California.

Trump is out of Queens, a builder-businessman in a Democratic city whose Republican credentials were suspect at best when he rode down that elevator at Trump Tower. Both took on the Republican establishment of their day, and humiliated it.

Among the signature issues of Trumpian populism is economic nationalism, a new trade policy designed to prosper Americans first.

Reagan preached free trade, but when Harley-Davidson was in danger of going under because of Japanese dumping of big bikes, he slammed a 50 percent tariff on Japanese motorcycles. Though a free trader by philosophy, Reagan was at heart an economic patriot.

He accepted an amnesty written by Congress for 3 million people in the country illegally, but Reagan also warned prophetically that a country that can't control its borders isn't really a country any more.

Reagan and Trump both embraced the Eisenhower doctrine of "peace through strength." And, like Ike, both built up the military.

Both also believed in cutting tax rates to stimulate the economy and balance the federal budget through rising revenues rather than cutting programs like Medicare and Social Security.

Both believed in engaging with the superpower rival of the day -- the Soviet Union in Reagan's day, Russia and China in Trump's time.

And both were regarded in this capital city with a cosmopolitan condescension bordering on contempt. "An amiable dunce" said a Great Society Democrat of Reagan.

The awesome victories Reagan rolled up, a 44-state landslide in 1980 and a 49-state landslide in 1984, induced some second thoughts among Beltway elites about whether they truly spoke for America. Trump's sweep of the primaries and startling triumph in the Electoral College caused the same consternation.

However, as the Great Depression, New Deal and World War II represented a continental divide in history between what came before and what came after, so, too, did the end of the Cold War and the Reagan era.

As Ingraham writes, Trumpism is rooted as much in the populist-nationalist campaigns of the 1990s, and post-Cold War issues as economic patriotism, border security, immigration control and "America First," as it is in the Reaganite issues of the 1980s.

Which bring us to the present, with our billionaire president, indeed, at the barricades.

The differences between Trump in his first year and Reagan in 1981 are stark. Reagan had won a landslide. The attempt on his life in April and the grace with which he conducted himself had earned him a place in the hearts of his countrymen. He not only showed spine in giving the air traffic controllers 48 hours to get back to work, and then discharging them when they defied him, he enacted the largest tax cut in U.S. history with the aid of boll weevil Democrats in the House.

Coming up on one year since his election, Trump is besieged by a hostile press and united Democratic Party. This city hates him. While his executive actions are impressive, his legislative accomplishments are not. His approval ratings have lingered in the mid-30s. He has lost half a dozen senior members of his original White House staff, clashed openly with his own Cabinet and is at war with GOP leaders on the Hill.

Moreover, we seem close to war with North Korea that would be no cakewalk. And the president appears determined to tear up the liar-nObama nuclear deal with Iran that his own national security team believes is in the national interest.

Reagan was, as Trump claimed to be, an anti-interventionist. Reagan had no wish to be a war president. His dream was to rid the world of nuclear weapons. This does not sound like Trump in October 2017.

Steve Bannon may see the 25th Amendment, where a Cabinet majority may depose a president, as the great threat to Trump.

But it is far more likely that a major war would do for the Trump presidency and his place in history what it did for Presidents Wilson, Truman, LBJ and George W. Bush.

BARE NAKED ISLAM

It isn't Islamophobia when they really ARE trying to kill

In a notorious London Muslim NO-GO Zone, a teenage girl was drugged and sexually assaulted THREE times as she walked home

October 13, 2017 by BareNakedIslam 27 Comments
“Triple sex attack in Tower Hamlets is worst I’ve ever seen,” says detective. The 17-year-old was attacked repeatedly over the course of an hour after she became separated from her friends following a visit to a club in East London. (CCTV photos/video make it apparent the attackers are Muslim)
The SUN Cops said her ordeal started shortly before midnight on Friday September 29 when she was picked up on camera being carried by a man in Cambridge Heath Road.

The pair are then seen appearing to go into a doorway in the same road, after which the man, who was wearing dark clothing, is not seen again on camera.
Items of the top half of the girl’s clothing were subsequently found nearby. Shortly after midnight, another CCTV camera picks up the girl stumbling down Mint Street, being followed by a different, bearded male, on a racing bicycle.
Officers said the man followed the teenager along Mint Street, into Three Colts Lane, and then as she heads in the direction of Bethnal Green Overground station. When the next camera picks her up, the man has approached her and they have reached Corfield Street.

A short time later, a member of the public spotted the teenager lying on the ground in Corfield Street in a state of distress and called 999.
Detective Inspector Suzanne Jordan, from the Metropolitan Police’s child abuse and sexual offences command, said: “This is a horrific multiple sexual assault on an young female who was simply making her way home after a night out.
“We believe two of the three were very serious sexual assaults indeed, and are determined to catch the persons responsible for these hideous crimes.”

Hamas-linked CAIR indoctrinated Philadelphia public school teachers about “Islamophobia”

CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR’s cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements about how Islamic law should be imposed in the U.S. (Ahmad denies this, but the original reporter stands by her story.) CAIR chapters frequently distribute pamphlets telling Muslims not to cooperate with law enforcement. CAIR has opposed virtually every anti-terror measure that has been proposed or implemented and has been declared a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates. A CAIR operative recently called for the overthrow of the U.S. government.

This unsavory gang of thugs and jihad enablers should not be allowed anywhere near any public schools. But that would, of course, be “Islamophobic.”

“Islamophobia” is a propaganda term designed to manipulate people into thinking it wrong to oppose jihad terror. It operates by conflating vigilante attacks against innocent Muslims, which are never justified, with honest analysis of the motivating ideology behind jihad terror.

“CAIR Conducted Sensitivity Training for Philadelphia Teachers,” by John Rossomando, IPT News, October 11, 2017:

Philadelphia’s public school system allowed the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) to conduct sensitivity training for its teachers last year, CAIR press releases and school district documents obtained by the Investigative Project on Terrorism show.

CAIR attorneys conducted a presentation for educators on Election Day, focusing on Islamophobia and the civil rights of Muslim students, a November press release said. The seminar was described as the first in a series of planned workshops on those issues.

“In the current political environment, Muslim American students are facing increased rates of bullying, emotional abuse, physical threats, and verbal epithets due to their faith, race, or ethnicity,” CAIR Philadelphia said in the release.

CAIR Philadelphia provides zero evidence to support this assertion.

Still, the director of the school system’s Multilingual Family Support Center argued that, “We need CAIR helping our schools.”

Asheq Fazlullah, a member of CAIR Philadelphia’s executive committee, and then-CAIR attorney Ryan Houldin conducted the Nov. 8 training, a school district email shows.

For a subsequent session, Fazlullah and Houldin would discuss “issues of diversity, equity, and fairness” at a January 3 professional development day, Colette Langston, principal at Philadelphia’s Swenson Arts and Technology High School, wrote in an email to teachers. The morning seminar was called, “Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity Workshop #1 Topic: Islamophobia.”

The school district did not provide course materials in response to the IPT’s public records request. School district officials did not respond to queries as to whether they conduct sensitivity training for other religious groups including Christians, Jews, Sikhs, or Hindus.

The school district’s reliance on CAIR could raise constitutional issues because the group’s executive director has described CAIR as a religious ministry.

Nihad Awad, CAIR’s executive director, testified before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) last spring that CAIR was a religious organization whose primary purpose is to spread Islam.

“[Awad] testified at length about the Employer’s role in conducting educational services in the fields of religion, culture, education, society, and history concerning Islamic issues. These services are provided to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. [Awad] described the Employer’s role in explaining the Islamic faith itself,” Charles L. Posner, regional director of the National Labor Relations Board, wrote in an April 7 ruling.

Awad’s acknowledgement prompted the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) to publicly back away from a CAIR-sponsored anti-bullying program. The Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund (FCDF) was suing to bar CAIR from influencing public school programming.

San Diego’s anti-bullying plan violated California law, along with students’ 1st and 14th amendment rights because CAIR is a religious organization and because the program gave Muslim students special treatment, the lawsuit said.

Those arguments could apply equally to Philadelphia’s public schools. “The San Diego case is far from over, so there is no doubt it could have precedential value in a legal challenge to Philadelphia schools’ partnership with CAIR,” FCDF Executive Director Daniel Piedra told the IPT.

School districts may not aid one religion, one religion over another, or religion over non-religion, an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) legal bulletin said. It cites the seminal 1972 U.S. Supreme Court case, Lemon v. Kurtzman.

“Under the so-called ‘Lemon test,’ a court must inquire (1) whether the government’s action has a secular or a religious purpose; (2) whether the primary effect of the government’s action is to advance or endorse religion; and (3) whether the government’s policy or practice fosters an excessive entanglement between government and religion,” the ACLU bulletin said.

In the San Diego case, FCDF argued that CAIR’s definition of Islamophobia is too vague and that what it considers bullying could ensnare legitimate criticisms of Islamic practice. FCDF also asserted that the SDUSD’s “anti-bullying” program unconstitutionally established Muslims “as a privileged group within the school community.”…

Sen Commie-la Harris Calls For
“Clean” DACA Bill Founding Fathers Demand
{rickwells.us} ~ The prospective Democrat candidate for president in 2020, who will, if elected, wreak the kind of devastation upon this nation that is the equivalent of ten Hussein liar-nObamas... Kamala Harris, weighed in on the issue of DACA on  Thursday, calling for Congress to pass a clean DACA amnesty bill. Speaking at the University of California-Irvine, the anti-white, anti-American communist agitator and Senator said, “This is about a fight for the future of this country, believing in the values upon which this country was founded.” Harris is a former Attorney General for the State of California so she must understand that this country was founded upon a respect for the rule of law, a contradiction to her lying drivel. Mimicking the inane, flowery nonsense of liar-nObama, she said, “The path right now is rocky. It is difficult. It is hard.” That’s because it is also wrong and against the Constitution... https://rickwells.us/sen-commiela-harris-daca-founding/

California Recall Over Gas-Tax Hike Faces Crucial Test

{freebeacon.com} ~ California Republicans leading a recall effort against Democratic State Sen. {townhall.com} ~ The hidden trafficking of the practice of underground female genital mutilation in the United States often goes unreported, unsuspected and undetected. The first federal prosecution of female genital mutilation (18 USC § 116) is occurring in Detroit, Michigan, with the indictment of Dr. Jumana Nagarwala, the alleged mutilator, along with eight other conspirators, aiders, and abetters.

These defendants are members of the Muslim sect Dawoodi Bohra and mandate this practice of FGM on their little daughters.

Incredibly, a federal statute outlawing FGM was passed in 1996, and it has taken 21 years to bring a federal criminal prosecution. While this is a first important step, it signals the depth and extent of the covert conspiracy of silence to protect this hideous and barbaric practice on unsuspecting little girls. The public should be aware that it is also a federal crime to take a child out of the U.S. for the purposes of FGM.

The Centers for Disease Control estimates that 513,000 women and girls in the U.S. are at risk for this brutal procedure. And the number of potential FGM victims is likely vastly unreported. Despite the fact that the World Health Organization and the United Nations declared FGM a violation of human rights, more than 100 million women and girls are subjected to this torture around the world.

Faced with a growing refugee population originating from FGM-practicing countries—such as Somalia, where 98 percent of girls are cut, and Egypt, where 97 percent of girls are subjected to FGM—resources and the public are needed to expose this barbaric practice, which goes unreported, unsuspected and undetected.

EndFGMToday is spearheading a national campaign to publicize the FBI confidential hotline and tipline, and exposing FGM practices in the U.S. We must start now to break down this FGM code of silence, which subjects innocent, unsuspecting little girls to a lifetime of physical and emotional pain.

EndFGMToday urges the public, mandated reporters in schools and health facilities, and FGM victims to speak up and call the FBI hotline at (800) CALL-FBI or visit www.FBI.gov/FGM. Post this FBI hotline in offices, schools, transportation hubs, stores, hospitals and public spaces. Defend girls from the vicious assault of FGM.

Americans must demand that FGM no longer be imported and practiced in our country. It’s against the law. It violates the human rights of little girls, and its barbarism will not be tolerated here. The potential victims of female genital mutilation deserve and need the protection of law enforcement so that no girl will be subjected to this brutal sexual assault.

Videos: Muslims takeover streets of Chicago, Houston, Dallas, New York

If these images disturb you, or arouse concern, clearly you haven’t evolved to enough to appreciate the wonders of multiculturalism. Savagery — the new leftist modernism.

Ashura: Shi’ite Muslims all around the world had been beating themselves with sharp blades, masking their bodies in mud and lighting bonfires within the streets to mourn the death of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson these days.

While Sunni Muslims also commemorate the Ashura – the 10th of Muharram in Islamic calendar – for Shiites, the murder of Hussein and his family by the army of the Ummayad Caliph Yazid marks the formal split from the religious establishment. Every year, Shiites (the followers of Ali – cousin of Islam’s prophet Muhammad and Hussein’s father) relive the battle of Karbala and mourn Hussein’s death.

self flagellation on Ashura

Pics from all over the world, confirmed shockingly younger boys lashing their personal backs with small knives and chains. Lots of men performed the identical brutal exercise in Lebanon, Bangladesh, Iraq, Pakistan and Myanmar and even Athens, Greece.

The bloody rituals had been a part of the holy Day of Ashura, while Shi’ite Muslims take into account the loss of life of Imam Hussein at the battle of Karbala in 680 AD.

Here’s what it looks like across the world – scroll down for Ashura in America:

Look What NFL Star Is Now Promising if Required to Stand for the Anthem

( Goodell Promising a revolt if require to stand for Anthem! Dose that mean we can shoot them for revolting against our country, our people, what our flag and Anthem stand for! A revolt by the N.F.L. will be dealt swiftly by the AMERICAN PEOLE! )

Following quite a while of wide range of anthem protesting and iberal clichés given support to them, NFL chief Roger Goodell at long last chose that he’d had enough.

In a firmly worded memo to the alliance’s partners, Goodell composed that “we believe that everyone should stand for the National Anthem” and that the class needed “to honor our flag and our country, and our fans expect that of us.”

The anthem challenges haven’t gone over well with the American people, yet Goodell’s inversion didn’t exactly go over so well in those sides of the NFL that have recently turned into parts of the American far left.

One player in particular, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense player Gerald McCoy, appeared to stop barely shy of promising open revolt if Goodell’s somewhat solid proposal were to wind up as official.

“If you take (protesting the anthem) away from them, there’s gonna be an uproar,” McCoy told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“I don’t think guys are gonna like it,” McCoy continued. “I think it’s gonna be an uproar if that is to happen because you’re basically taking away a constitutional right to freedom of speech. If guys wanna have a, I guess you would call it a peaceful protest, I don’t think it’s right to take that away.”

While Goodell’s notice was an entirely solid indication that the association has had it with the protesting, there have been bits of gossip that it won’t end at hinting: Sports Illustrated and different outlets have detailed NFL proprietors will consider making a rule expecting players to remain standing for the anthem on time as one week from now.

In the event that McCoy’s guaranteed “uproar” happens, it will just further underestimate a group that is woefully distant from its fanbase.

Officialy Goodell has at last had enough of the players’ silly protesting. The American people has enough of it for a while now.

Feinstein's Orwellian Anti-Gun Hypocrisy

These attitudes are especially grating to America’s fundamental belief in the equality of all individuals under the law. It’s one of the primary reasons American colonists rebelled against British rule. Sadly, in spite of our history, it is ever more apparent that many of our nation’s politicians fancy themselves as an elitist ruling class, to which the Rule of Law and equality simply don’t apply.

Sen. Dianna Feinstein (D-CA) provided the latest display of this political elitism in the wake of the Las Vegas atrocity. Feinstein is no friend of the Second Amendment, and she has long actively sought to limit public access to a right she herself exercises. Recently Feinstein was asked about proposed national concealed carry reciprocity legislation. She stated, “We want every American to feel comfortable packing a concealed weapon? Around the country? I represent 40 million Californians, and I can say without hesitation, Californians do not want concealed carry.
Feinstein then further opined, “I don’t believe [conceal carry] is protected by the Constitution. To conceal it, without a permit. … I am saying that the state I represent would not want any part of [national reciprocity], nor should any American. You just make the situation worse. You let somebody with a weapon who may do you harm get close to you. Why would you want that?
As bad as Feinstein’s flawed interpretation of the Constitution and specifically the Second Amendment is, it is her blatant display of hypocrisy on the issue of concealed carry which may be more egregious. California, with its severely restrictive gun laws, has just over 70,000 concealed carry permit holders. It would be more if the state was “shall issue.” And one of those privileged few is Feinstein herself.
The assertion Feinstein makes — that concealed carry would allow someone with a weapon to get close to you and do you harm — displays again an attitude of entitlement and elitism, as well as being profoundly ignorant and judgmental. Does Feinstein view the vast majority of Americans as nothing more than a mass of psychopathic murders just itching to get their hands on a gun so as to kill anyone they get close to? She speaks as if she were the warden overseeing a prison population. How dare she claim the right for herself while actively seeking to prevent her constituents from enjoying the same right to self-protection.
This elitist entitlement attitude was displayed last year by then-Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) who, when questioned on gun rights, stated, while standing next to armed Capitol Police, “Law-abiding citizens just shouldn’t have to carry a gun.” When the obvious presence of armed security protecting him was pointed out, Rangel insisted, “Well that’s a little different. I think we deserve — I think we need to be protected down here.
Once again we see that Orwellian display of the entitled ruling class preaching that leftist dogma of everyone being equal, but some being more equal than others.  ~The Patriot Post

{townhall.com} ~ "The constitutionally guaranteed 'freedom to be intellectually ... diverse or even contrary,' and the 'right to differ as to things that touch the heart of the existing order,' encompass the freedom to express publicly one's opinions about our flag, including those opinions which are defiant or contemptuous."

-- Supreme Court of the United States in Street v. New York (1969)

Sometimes the public expression of unwanted ideas reaches directly into our living rooms. When President Donald Trump attacked a half-dozen or so professional football players who, instead of standing during the traditional playing of the national anthem prior to football games, "took a knee" by kneeling on one or both of their knees during the anthem, hundreds of more players on national television took a knee in defiance of the president.

Here is the back story.

Last year, a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, Colin Kaepernick, began quietly taking a knee at NFL games to protest what he said was the excessive use of force by police. He was the subject of mild but largely below-the-radar criticism by those who thought sincerely that taking a knee publicly during the playing of the national anthem was a sign of disrespect for the flag and the anthem and thus for this country.

When a few of his buddies and former colleagues -- he is no longer a member of an NFL team -- followed suit for a variety of reasons, all of which centered around the right to protest the policies of the government, Trump saw a political opening.

At a rally in Alabama last month, Trump aggressively attacked the practice of taking a knee. He argued that it was so disrespectful to the American flag and the national anthem that those who had taken a knee should be fired from their jobs.

This pronouncement focused a spotlight on the six or so scattered players who had followed Kaepernick's lead, and soon hundreds were doing so. The president took their behavior as an affront to him and the nation, and he persisted in his attacks on the players. Soon, some team owners joined their players in various means of expressing solidarity with those who had taken a knee.

When the players union backed up these silent expressions of political opinions, it argued that all of its members have a constitutional right to express themselves in uniform in their workplace. Do they? The short answer is that it depends on where the players are when they take a knee.

Some jurisdictions -- such as California, the District of Columbia, New Jersey and New York -- give more protection to employees for expressive conduct in the workplace than others do. When the expressive conduct -- taking a knee, bowing one's head, locking arms with colleagues -- occurs in the workplace, the issue is not necessarily one of free speech, because the First Amendment only comes into play when the government itself is accused of infringing upon or compelling speech. In the NFL, the alleged infringers of speech or compellers of speech are team management, not the government.

Expressive conduct -- lawful behavior that offers a political opinion -- is the constitutional equivalent of free speech. So interfering with expressive conduct or commanding its cessation in conformity to management's political or patriotic views constitutes interfering with speech. May employers do that?

In states where expressive conduct in the workplace is protected, employees may express themselves as long as they do not materially interfere with the business of the workplace. In states without that employee protection, they may not do so.

So in states such as Texas, an employee who refuses to comply with an instruction from management to conform to certain behavior in public -- e.g., standing during the playing of the national anthem -- can be disciplined, as Texas lacks the added protections for individual workplace expressions that a few states provide.

However, even in the states that lack the employee expression protection, if management's instructions to conform require conformance on property that the government owns, such as a publicly owned stadium, then management is treated constitutionally as if it were the government. Just as the government cannot interfere with speech to suppress its content or to compel conformity, neither may team management when teams play on government-owned land.

Thus, in states where the government owns the stadiums or where expressive conduct in the workplace is protected, employees may engage in expressive conduct in defiance of management, as long as their conduct does not interfere with the workplace. Just as the government may interfere with speech for non-content-related reasons -- for example, noise at night or safety in a crowd -- management may interfere with speech when the speech itself interferes with the business of the workplace.

If team management could show that taking a knee materially interferes with the workplace product -- money for the owners resulting from players winning football games -- because it chases away ticket buyers or reduces advertising or media revenue or impairs team morale and thus produces poor play, it would have a strong case, even in the states with employee protection laws and even in venues owned by the government.

In the famous flag burning cases a few years ago, the Supreme Court made clear that in America, we have no revered symbols that command orthodox respect. The flag itself represents the right to treat it as one wishes. We are free to respect the flag and to shun those who do not, but we may not harm a hair on their heads.

I am with the French philosopher Voltaire, who, regarding folks who had literally lost their heads, is reputed to have said, "I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Drug Deaths Nearly 6X Gun Murders

Appearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee last Thursday, Deborah Houry of the Centers for Disease Control stated, “Preliminary data for 2016 indicate at least 64,000 drug overdose deaths, the highest number ever recorded in the U.S.” That number is twice that of all gun-related deaths last year. And keep in mind that two-thirds of deaths from guns are suicides. the FBI murder statistics for 2016 show 11,004 murders with guns — a little more than one-sixth the number of drug overdose deaths.

What is even more concerning is the precipitous increase in overdose deaths, especially over the last couple years. Not only have overdose deaths increased, but it can be argued that they have increased due to the government’s 2010 creation of stricter regulations of pharmaceutical companies. Call it the law of unintended consequences. It could be argued that government over-regulation exacerbated and destabilized what had been a relatively controlled problem. The opioid crisis is out of control.
Returning to the heated topic of gun control, the Left loves to suggest that more, and always more, “common sense” gun control laws will somehow limit the number of people killed by guns. What is conveniently ignored by these same leftists is the fact that since the early 1990s, gun-related crimes and deaths have significantly decreased while the number of guns owned has increased by over 50%. In fact, as Mark Alexander  highlighted yesterday, it is Democrat-controlled cities where gun laws are strictest where one will see the highest number of gun-related violence and death. The law of unintended consequences, or rather the real human toll of anti-gun crusaders?
But hey, at least YouTube has changed its rules for firearms videos…  ~The Patriot Post

{rickwells.us} ~ The State of Nevada requires all security guards to be registered with and licensed by the state, under the jurisdiction of the Nevada Private Investigator’s Licensing Board... They must meet eligibility requirements such as no felony, moral turpitude convictions or record of illegal possession or use of dangerous weapons. They also must meet character and citizenship/ residency  requirements. Those all seem like reasonable requirements as the basis for the state granting permits to work in that type of field. Curiously, the security officer at Mandalay Bay who we have been told stumbled upon Paddock as he was about to begin his murderous rampage and was shot as a result, Jesus Campos, isn’t registered. Unless it’s under a different name, he has not been granted permission to work in that field in the State of Nevada... https://rickwells.us/hero-mandalay-licensed-campos/

{townhall.com} ~ If it were a plague, the government would rush to quarantine the infected, as occurred during Europe's Black Death in the 14th century.

An immigration debate at Seattle University School of Law is a plague of a different sort, but deadly in a different way. The victim here is the right to free speech.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that Annette Clark, the dean of Seattle University's Law School, has revoked the school's sponsorship of a Federalist Society event. The reason? The proposed debate on immigration, hosted by the school's Access to Justice Institute, might be "harmful" to minority students and "undocumented immigrants," aka people who broke the law to get to America, though we are not supposed to talk like that these days.

At first, I thought it was a joke. It is. But a joke played on those elites who claim to believe in tolerance, academic freedom, and inclusion. Dean Clark's edict reflects her and the school's intolerance, academic propaganda and exclusion of any view that does not conform to the university's imposed ideology. Isn't this the stuff of re-education camps and gulags?

Many college campuses claim devotion to diversity while practicing and imposing conformity. To them, diversity has to do with skin color, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. It is secular liberalism dressed up in different garb. Real diversity would include people of different opinions.

At Seattle U's Law School, the Federalist Society, a conservative organization that believes in an originalist view of the Constitution, was preparing for an immigration debate. The last I checked a debate is supposed to include opposing points of view. The purpose of a debate is to inform people so they can decide which view is superior to the other. In the '80s, these were the kinds of debates in which I participated on many college campuses. With only a few exceptions I was granted a respectful hearing, as was my debate opponent. Often we would attend a dinner before the debate, or a reception afterward, where students and faculty could observe us interacting with decorum, humor and mutual respect.

Invitations to college campuses began disappearing in the '90s, and I haven't had any since. The stories of high-profile speakers being denied the right to speak or shouted down and demonstrated against should they actually make it onto a campus are legion.

The kind of censorship practiced in Seattle is not unique to that school either. It is trending across the country. Increasingly, campuses have become "safe spaces" so that "snowflakes" will not be troubled by ideas that rattle their still-developing brains, which should, instead of stagnating, constantly evolve. If they think they already know everything, why spend time and money going to college?

The greater question is this: Why do so many parents, especially conservative parents, send their children to schools that undermine their faith and values, distort history and promote causes that will not help them get a job once they graduate? A corollary question: Why do students take on so much debt to attend universities where their "consciences" might be raised on the liberal side, but where they are shielded from what real life looks like?

Nat Hentoff, the late liberal journalist and social critic, said the answer to speech you don't like is not less speech, but more speech. The students at Seattle Law School are being denied a well-rounded education by the speech and thought police. Students should demand that a portion of their tuition be refunded, and the federal government should consider denying tax subsidies to institutions of "higher learning" that practice censorship.

FBI Names “Black Identity
Extremists” as Potent Domestic Threat

{restoreamericanglory.com} ~ According to a new report out of the FBI’s counterterrorism division, the Bureau has been quietly and systematically documenting a new domestic threat to homeland security... a threat they identify as “black identity extremists.” This threat emerged in the wake of the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson and spawned a series of plots and active violent incidents against law enforcement officials and other symbols of civic government. According to the report, which was first revealed by Foreign Policy magazine, “it is very likely BIEs proactively target police and openly identify and justify their actions with social-political agendas commensurate with their perceived injustices against African Americans.” While black identity extremism had been on the FBI’s radar prior to the Ferguson controversy, the Bureau only gave it a name and stepped up its agency-wide warnings in the aftermath of the riots and marches that followed Brown’s shooting... http://www.restoreamericanglory.com/breaking-news/fbi-names-black-identity-extremists-as-potent-domestic-threat/

Trump’s Immigration List
Reminds Dems Who is in Charge

{fixthisnation.com} ~ From the way the Democratic Party leadership has been acting with respect to Obama’s 800,000 or so “Dreamers,” you would think they had recently won an election or something...
From the moment President Trump signaled that he would be willing to sign legislation giving these illegal immigrants a way to stay in the United States, Democrats like Nancy Pulosi and Chuck clown-Schumer went on the offensive, insisting on a clean DACA bill that didn’t include any money for border security or a wall across the Mexican border line. Since the majority party usually gets to dictate terms to the minority party, many observers wondered just how serious “clown-Chuck and Nancy” were about protecting the Dreamers in the first place. Well, with a 70-point list the White House sent to Capitol Hill this week, President Trump has decided to find out the answer to that question. And in the meantime, he’s sending a message to Democrats: You didn’t win the election, I did. And this is exactly what I campaigned on. You want to protect the Dreamers? NSA needed Israel to warn them that its tools had
been breached by a Russian cybersecurity firm
by Ellen Nakashima

{Ijewishworldreview.com} ~ In 2015, Israeli government hackers saw something suspicious in the computers of a Moscow-based cybersecurity firm: hacking tools that could only have come from the National Security Agency.

Israel notified the NSA, where alarmed officials immediately began a hunt for the breach, according to individuals familiar with the matter, who said an investigation by the agency revealed that the tools were in the possession of the Russian government.

Israelis spies had found the hacking material on the network of Kaspersky Lab, the global antivirus firm, now under a spotlight in the United States because of suspicions its products facilitate Russian espionage.

Last month, the Department of Homeland Security instructed federal civilian agencies to identify Kaspersky Lab software on their networks and remove it, on the grounds that "the Russian government, whether acting on its own or in collaboration with Kaspersky, could capitalize on access provided by Kaspersky products to compromise federal information and information systems directly implicates U.S. national security." The directive followed a decision by the General Services Administration to remove Kaspersky from its list of approved vendors. And lawmakers on Capitol Hill are considering a government-wide ban.

The NSA declined to comment on the Israeli discovery, which was first reported by The New York Times.

Kaspersky spokeswoman Sarah Kitsos said that "as a private company, Kaspersky Lab does not have inappropriate ties to any government, including Russia, and the only conclusion seems to be that Kaspersky Lab is caught in the middle of a geopolitical fight." She said the company "does not possess any knowledge" of Israel's hack.

The firm's founder, Eugene Kaspersky, said in a blog post last week that his antivirus software is supposed to find malware from all quarters.

"We absolutely and aggressively detect and clean malware infections no matter the source," he wrote, suggesting that the NSA hacking tools could have been picked up as malware by the antivirus program.

In the 2015 case, investigators at the NSA examining how the Russians obtained the material eventually narrowed their search to an employee in the agency's elite Tailored Access Operations division - hackers that collect intelligence about foreign targets. The employee was using Kaspersky antivirus software on his home computer, according to the individuals familiar with the matter.

The employee, whose name has not been made public and who is still under investigation by federal prosecutors, did not intend to pass the material to a foreign adversary. "There wasn't any malice," said one individual familiar with the case, who like others interviewed, requested anonymity to discuss an ongoing case. "It's just that he was trying to complete the mission, and he needed the tools to do it."

Concerns about Kaspersky have also emerged in the cyber security industry, where some officials say that the firm's software has been used not just to protect its customers' computers but also as a platform for espionage.

Over the last several years, the firm has on occasion used a standard industry technique that detects computer viruses, but can also be employed to identify information and other data not related to malware, according to two industry officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive information.

The tool is called "silent signatures" - strings of digital code that operate in stealth mode to find malware but which could also be written to search computers for potential classified documents, using key words or acronyms.

"Silent detection is a widely-adopted cybersecurity industry practice, used to verify malware detections and minimize false positives," said Kitsos. "It enables cybersecurity vendors to offer the most up-to-date protection without bothering users with constant on-screen alerts."

Kaspersky is also the only major antivirus firm whose data is routed through Russian Internet service providers subject to Russian surveillance. That surveillance system is known as the SORM, or the System of Operative Investigative Measures.

Kitsos said that customer data flowing through its Russian servers is encrypted. She said that the firm does not decrypt it for the government.

Andrei Soldatov, a Russian surveillance expert and author of "The Red Web," said, "I would be very, very skeptical" of the claim that the government cannot read the firm's data. As an entity that deals with encrypted information, Kaspersky must obtain a license from the FSB, the country's powerful security service, he noted, which "means your company is completely transparent" to the FSB.

It is not publicly known how the Russians obtained the NSA hacking tools in 2015. Some information security analysts have speculated that the Russians exploited a flaw in Kaspersky software to filch the material.

But other experts say the Russians would not need to hack's Kaspersky's systems. They say that the material could be picked up through the country's surveillance regime.

The firm itself is likely to be beholden to the Kremlin, said Steven Hall, who ran the CIA's Russia operations for 30 years. He said Kaspersky's line of work is of particular interest to Russian President Vladimir Putin and because of the way things work in Russia, Eugene Kaspersky, "knows he's at the mercy of Putin."

"The case against Kaspersky Lab is overwhelming," said Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., a vocal critic of Kaspersky who has pushed to remove the company's software from federal networks. "The strong ties between Kaspersky Lab and the Kremlin are very alarming."

The federal government increasingly has been conveying its concerns about Kaspersky to the private sector. Over at least the past two years, the FBI has notified major companies, including in the energy and financial sectors, about the risks of using Kaspersky software. The briefings have elaborated on the risks of espionage, sabotage and supply chain attacks that could be enabled through use of the software. They also explained the surveillance law that enables the Russian government to see data coursing through its domestic pipes.

"That's the crux of the matter," said one industry official who received the briefing. "Whether Kaspersky is working directly for the Russian government or not doesn't matter - their Internet service providers are subject to monitoring. So virtually anything shared with Kaspersky could become the property of the Russian government."

Late last month, the National Intelligence Council completed a classified report that it shared with NATO allies concluding that the FSB, had "probable access" to Kaspersky customer databases and source code. That access, it concluded, could help enable cyber attacks against U.S. government, commercial and industrial control networks.

FYI: Politicians who promote pro-Muslim immigration policies, even in a notoriously liberal state, are more likely to get voted out of office

Americans, even on the Left, are rejecting the resettlement of Muslim economic migrants, most of whom are not real refugees, especially in towns with struggling economies. FIVE-TERM Rutland, Vermont Mayor Christopher Louras lost his reelection back in March after a year-long scandal related to the importation of Muslim refugees.

BT.com  (h/t kafir) Starting in late 2015, Louras schemed for six months with his state’s private refugee contractor (the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program, or VRRP for short) to initiate a refugee resettlement program in his city. He did this without alerting either the city’s board of aldermen or the citizens themselves. Only when the deal was sealed did he announce that Rutland would be taking in 100 unvettable Syrian Musim refugees in the fall of 2016.

Apart from their specific concerns about Middle Eastern migrants who may sympathize with jihadists — or even be jihadists themselves — people were taken aback by the mayor’s secret maneuvering and flagrant disrespect for the board of aldermen, which by law must be included in any such proposal, along, of course, with the citizenry.

The larger concern was the brand new refugee resettlement office planned for Rutland. Once centers are established, they can only survive by annually bringing in at least as many refugees as the prior year. Call it a kind of zero-based budgeting as applied to the refugee resettlement process.

The result is an endless flow of bussed-in outsiders that increasingly overwhelms city services. Moreover, once a refugee community is established, the resettlement contractors urge them to apply for relatives, who can then be resettled anywhere within a 100-mile radius. These contractors drool at the prospect of all that federal money.

With fake Syrian passports easily available all over the Middle East, there’s no way to know who the real Syrian refugees are anymore

A hundred may not seem like a lot in Boston or New York City, but it is significant in Rutland which had a population of around 16,000.Louras was beaten handily.

Dr. Tim Cook, a five-tour Middle East war veteran and highly-regarded local physician,  went on Fox Business on Jan. 4 to summarize the case he had been making against the refugee resettlement plan that Louras had fancifully claimed would bring in big bucks to Rutland. Cook returned to Fox Biz yesterday to reiterate those points and discuss the election outcome (below).

Needless to say, when Cook and others told the truth about the Louras scheme, city residents were justifiably outraged.

Michigan: Pakistani Muslim running for state senate seat

Source: Muslim American psychiatrist runs for state senate

NORTHVILLE— Dr. Ghulam Qadir has announced his run for the open seventh district seat in the Michigan State senate for 2018; locals are well-aware of Qadir as he knocked on nearly 10,000 doors during his run for Northville Board of Trustee last year.

Qadir, a Democrat, has lived in Michigan since 1978 and practices psychiatry.

He served as the chief psychiatrist at the Oakwood Health Care System for 14 years.

Qadir said he’s been interested in politics for a long time. He was involved in the politics of the hospital, and eventually decided that he wanted to run for a local position that would allow him to serve the community in which he lives.

Though he failed to win a seat on the board, he did gain support through his grassroots campaigning.

Qadir said that some of the people he encountered while going door to door last year told him point blank that they didn’t want to talk to him or vote for him. In one instance, a Republican working in his yard told him he’d be voting for another candidate, but when Qadir encountered him again after the election, he said he’d changed his mind and voted for him after all.

The man said he realized Qadir was concerned about the same issues.

Qadir said others had told him similar things.

“I want to give back to the community that has given me so much,” he said.

During Qadir’s campaign, he rallied support to halt the expansion of a Northville landfill, helped to redesign development of a part of Northville at Beck and Five Mile Roads, helped prevent the Toni Morrison book “The Bluest Eye” from being banned from the Northville High School advanced placement course and helped stop an unpopular residential development from taking place at Ridge and Six Mile Roads.

This year, Qadir decided to run for state senate because he is passionate about a number of issues he feels concern voters.

He considers education a particularly important issue.

“I am what I am because of education,” Qadir said. “Education has changed my life and it has changed my family’s life.”

He said his home village in Pakistan had no schools when he was growing up. By continuing on to higher education, he set a model for his village, and now the area has become well-educated.

Pakistan is of course the epicenter of jihad and where terrorists are harbored. That is not to say Qadir has any connection to such activities.

Despite the title of this article, it’s unclear how Qadir has served anything other than Muslims in Pakistan and the United States. Serving their two homes: Pakistan and the United States

This organisation has adopted what Dr Chaudhary describes as a “two-pronged strategy”. Through alumni groups, APPNA focuses on projects in Pakistan, and through its local chapters also works with US-based communities.

Qadir has though, funded a report by a well-known Muslim supremacist that included many participants who are terrorist sympathizers – if not supporters – that belong to a host of Muslim Brotherhood groups inside the U.S.A.

Why would Dr. Qadir fund a group – comprised of known, controversial Muslims – whose report focuses on what they are calling the “9 /11 Generation” and outlines how better to convert Americans to Islam and support them once they convert?

Among the most notorious of the report authors and participants, are (click names to learn about them):

SB-54...Signaling California's Demise

SB-54...Signaling California's Demise

It will put a large kink in Trump’s perverse and inhumane deportation machine.” - SB-54 proposer California State Senate Leader Kevin de Leon (D)

I know of no other way to say it except to just take a deep breath and let it be known that by his signing the abomination known as SB-54...dubbed the 'California Values Act'...California's Gov. Jerry Brown has proven himself to be not only an anti-American bleeding heart liberal, but one who poses a danger not only to Californians but to all Americans whose lives he has now put in danger. How so...because this bill makes the entirety of California a 'sanctuary state' which not only sets a dangerous precedent but actually gives illegals...gives criminals...rights, freedoms, and protections, once afforded to American citizens alone.

And with it being a direct slap in the face to President Trump, Brown happily signed a bill into law that limits who California's state and local law enforcement agencies can hold, question, and transfer at the request of federal immigration authorities...and he did so on the very day President Trump had set as the deadline for those illegals currently protected under Obama's DACA program to request a two-year extension before the program is finally and rightfully phased out.

Saying that SB-54 will ensure that “hardworking people who contribute to our state are respected,” Brown forgets that more importantly is that 'We the People' now need laws to protect us from the likes of him and from those he is trying to protect.

state%2Bde%2Bleon.PNG

Bill SB-54...whose predecessor was the 'California Trust Act' which weakened the impact of in-place federal policy on immigrant communities and included in it how long illegals could be held by immigration officials...was proposed by Latino Democrat and California Senate leader Kevin de León, and it directly contradicts already on the books federal laws by its baring California law enforcement officers from arresting individuals based upon civil immigration warrants; bars officers from asking about a person’s immigration status; and bars them from participating in any joint task force with federal officials for the purpose of enforcing immigration laws.

In addition, SB-54 prohibits local law enforcement officers from asking about a person's immigration status in the course of routine interactions; prohibits said officers from complying with ICE detainer requests; and also prevents local jails from contracting with the federal government to house their detainees and hold immigrants for any reason if they are cleared for release based upon the adjudication of their state criminal cases.

state%2Bice2.PNGIn other words...screw federal U.S. immigration laws for to those like Gov. Jerry Brown and Sen.Kevin de Leon the 'supposed' rights of illegals...of criminals...usurp the rights of we law-abiding American citizens...no matter that illegal immigration in and of itself is indeed directly responsible for the increase in the overall numbers of violent crime not just in California but nationwide.

Simply put, while SB-54, which goes into effect on January 1, 2018, does not actually stop ICE or Homeland Security from enforcing federal immigration laws in California, it does ensure that California will not use its own law enforcement resources to help in those above stated actions. And it does so while at the same time creating protections for illegals already living in California by setting into place immigration 'safe zones' around schools, health facilities that offer physical and/or mental health and wellness services, public libraries, legal aid and social services organizations, and courthouses.

Read SB-54 in its entirety here: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=201720180SB54

state%2Bno%2Buse%2Bthis%2Bone.PNGAnd in his claiming that SB-54 is a "balanced measure bill" that "will protect public safety while bringing a measure of comfort to those families who are now living in fear every day," Jerry Brown proves just how really delusional he is as this bill puts Californians in danger by allowing violent criminals to avoid deportation while at the same time jeopardizing the state's much needed billions in federal funding. And Brown signed this bill even after President Trump publicly put cities and counties on notice that they will lose federal funding if local law enforcement does not cooperate with immigration agents. And with California being home to at least 35 sanctuary cities...including San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Oakland...that means 35 cities...with some being highly populated cities...could and most likely will go broke thanks to this what is truly a one-sided law.

And if losing funding wasn't bad enough get this, SB-54 requires prisons to have written consent from inmates...from criminals...before they allow federal immigration agents to interview them...in other words 'make nice' to felons including those the likes of five times previously deported illegal alien Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, the very man who in cold-blood murdered Kate Steinle.

state%2Bpolice.PNG

In fact, according to Devin O’Malley, a spokesman for the Department of Justice, “The state of California has now codified a commitment to returning criminal aliens back onto our streets, which undermines public safety, national security, and law enforcement.” And how right he is for this now law places too many restrictions on law enforcement’s ability to "communicate" with their federal counterparts about releasing or not releasing criminals from jail...that is except if said criminal has been convicted of one of about 800 mostly felony and misdemeanor crimes. And law enforcement officers will also specifically be barred from transferring illegal criminals to federal authorities if said criminals 'so-called' rap sheet includes only "minor offenses" while not saying what those "minor offenses" are.

"It won't stop ICE from trolling our streets," angrily whined bill sponsor California Senate leader Kevin de Leon (D) who wanted no concessions made to his original proposal...as if all stated above are really concessions.

state%2Bsign%2Buse%2Bthis%2Bone.gif

And no matter how often Gov. Jerry Brown squawks that his signing SB-54 in no way prevents ICE or Homeland Security from actually "operating" in California, the truth is that this law actually lays out the welcome mat for any and all illegals both currently in our country and those planning on illegally entering here to just hightail it to California knowing they will not only get a conglomerate of the requisite 'free stuff'...including driver's licenses and the right to vote...but that they will be protected by law no matter how many times or to what degree they act...to put it mildly...badly.

Heaven help law-abiding Californians for the police will no longer be able to.

'No longer be able to' as buried within SB-54 are words to the affect that California's attorney general’s office will have to publish guidelines and training recommendations in order to (forcibly) limit immigration agents access to personal information, that all law enforcement agencies will have to send the office annual reports both on the illegals they do transfer to immigration authorities, and to the types and frequency of arrests and said transfers.

stte%2Bhnds%2Bon%2Bhead.jpg

And to make SB-54 all the more grievous, Gov. Brown signed with it an additional ten immigration-related bills...including a bill limiting the growth of detention centers by preventing cities and other local California governments from entering into either new contracts or renewing and/or modifying any existing contracts with private companies whose business with the feds is to hold immigrants. Also signed was a bill that expanded education services for illegals while at the same time extending tenant and workplace protections for those Brown loves to call "undocumented persons"...persons who in reality we know are illegal aliens...criminals...who came into our country by knowingly and willingly breaking our laws.

So what can the few duly-elected Republican officials in California do now that this bill has become law...little to nothing it seems. In fact, Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions...who called SB-54 “unconscionable”...is already doing legal battle with some sanctuary cities... including San Francisco...over the administration's move to withhold Justice Department grant funds to "discourage sanctuary city policies." And least we forget that on the very day California lawmakers voted to pass SB-54, activist U.S. District Court Judge Harry Leinenweber in Chicago blocked Session's move.

state%2Bde%2Bleon%2B2nd%2Bpic.jpg

And with State Senate leader Kevin de León now saying that state leaders are "prepared to defend it" in court no matter that some are trying to get federal officials to block the law from being implemented, the chances of SB-54 not being implemented are slim as the 10th Amendment and past court rulings in previous and somewhat similar cases found that the federal government cannot "compel" local authorities to enforce federal laws.

And this means that the uber liberal Democrats in the California legislature; those who elected them to office; and the vile, way overpaid, no-talent, big mouth Hollywood sorts; have succeeded in commandeering once great California and turning it into a socialist's free-for-all, do whatever you want, haven for the criminal sorts. But then again this is the same state that under the same governor recently reduced the penalty from a felony to a misdemeanor for someone who knowingly does not tell their partner...whether they be gay or straight...that he or she is infected with the AIDS virus. Nice huh...

So with SB-54 now being law, the bottom line is that American families who have suffered never ending heartbreak and harm at the hands of illegal criminals will now be pushed aside by corrupt California politicians who would rather protect the more than 2.3 million illegals living in their state than seek justice for innocent lives lost.
state%2Blast%2Bpic.jpg

And what most forget is that as this sanctuary state scenario progresses from bad to worse...as all-out socialism overtakes the state...it will lead into a situation known as 'diminishing returns' where eventually California's economy collapses as the state becomes bankrupt under the weight of having to support the influx of illegals with their hands out flocking to their state. And with government funds rightfully being withheld, raising taxes even higher than they already are becomes the only viable option available, but with taxes being almost unaffordable for most as it is, the exodus from California will turn the state into a true socialistic criminal hub with mob mentality becoming the rule of law. And dare we forget that socialism only works until you run out of other people's money...meaning California is indeed on the path towards total bankruptcy and economic collapse.

And the bottom line in all this is that what the 'big one' has n
