ISIS video calls for jihad in Balkans ahead of Pope’s visit: “We will come with explosives”

Think again... Using the Environmental Protection Agency’s own estimate, we calculate that the corn ethanol mandate has been worse for the climate than projected emissions from the controversial Keystone XL pipeline. What makes matters worse is that the EPA just mandated that more corn ethanol must go into American gas tanks. Today the EPA proposed new minimum volumes of corn ethanol that refiners would be required to blend into gasoline this year and the next. Congress set this policy, called the Renewable Fuel Standard, in the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.  House Committee Drops Funding for Climate Change Programs  
(gopthedailydose.com) ~ Just before what’s called the most “important” U.N. climate conference in years, appropriators in the House of Representatives have cut funding for the Presidents “international climate change funding.”... Mainly because, it’s supposed to be a national security bill. An appropriations bill for the State Department and foreign operations, released Tuesday, excludes funding for three major climate initiatives – the Green Climate Fund, the Clean Technology Fund, and the Strategic Climate Fund – and also removes funding for the U.N.-backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).      (jewishworldreview.com) ~ President Barack nObama took a step toward a tougher line with Israel in an interview released Tuesday, raising the possibility that the U.S. will allow a United Nations vote on issues related to the Palestinians if the two sides make no meaningful movement toward peace.

     In an interview with an Israeli television station, nObama noted that his administration has "up until this point" quashed such efforts at the U.N. while insisting that the Israelis and Palestinians must negotiate a resolution. But he said it is a challenge for the U.S. to keep demanding that the Palestinians negotiate in good faith if no one believes the Israelis are doing the same.

     "How do we move off what appears right now to be a hopeless situation and move it back towards a hopeful situation?" nObama asked in the interview. "That will require more than just words. That will require some actions. And that's going to be hard work, though, because right now I think there's not a lot of confidence in the process."

     The comment was the latest sign that nObama has concluded that the U.S. must rethink its stance on the Mideast peace process if it is to maintain credibility in the world.

     His thinking on the matter was clearly spurred this spring by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's stand against Palestinian statehood during his election campaign. Even though Netanyahu has since publicly reversed his position, nObama said in the interview that Israel "as a whole loses credibility" on the point.

     "If, in fact, there's no prospect of an actual peace process, if nobody believes there's a peace process, then it becomes more difficult to argue with those who are concerned about settlement construction, those who are concerned about the current situation," nObama said. "It's more difficult for me to say to them, 'Be patient and wait because we have a process here' — because all they need to do is to point to the statements that have been made saying there is no process."

     nObama's critical tone toward Netanyahu, describing him as someone who is "predisposed" to "think perhaps that peace is naive," appeared to return to the tough language that marked administration statements earlier this spring, around the time of the Israeli election. More recently, the White House had seemed to be trying to mend fences.

     The apparent shift in tone seems "hard to understand," said a Democratic strategist with close ties to the White House. Previous White House criticisms of the prime minister clearly strengthened Netanyahu electorally, he said, speaking on condition of anonymity to avoid alienating White House officials. "These kind of attacks don't really hurt him. They help him."

     nObama's veiled threat about Palestinian statehood lands hard at a time when the U.S. and other world powers are in high-stakes negotiations with Iranian officials to limit their country's nuclear program. Israel deeply opposes the deal on the grounds that it will bolster Iran's nuclear efforts and its economy and boost its aggression in the Middle East; some of Iran's leaders have said Israel does not have the right to exist. The deadline for a deal, a major foreign-policy priority for nObama, is at the end of the month, and the president is already gearing up for the difficult sales job ahead of him if an agreement is reached. Congress has demanded a chance to review the deal, a point nObama has ceded, but the deep opposition from Israel could complicate his attempts to gain approval from U.S. lawmakers who ardently support Israel.

     In advance of that prospect, nObama recently visited a prominent Washington synagogue to talk about his deep love of Israel. Close advisers and friends have tried to underscore the point, with former senior advisor David Axelrod telling Israeli Channel 2 that nObama feels a deep personal affinity for the Jewish people.

     And in an interview with the Atlantic magazine last week, nObama also talked about his personal commitment to the security of Israel, and idea he mirrored in the new interview with Channel 2's Ilana Dayan.

     nObama told Dayan that the U.S. assistance to Israel on security, intelligence and military matters "doesn't go away" because it is part of a "solemn commitment that I've made with respect to Israel's security."

     But there may be a "practical consequence" if there are new resolutions introduced in the U.N., he said.

     The peace process could become a bigger problem for nObama in his complicated ties with Israel, but analysts say he has been trying to simplify that relationship lately by explaining himself directly to the Israeli public.

     As he prepares to talk about a possible resolution with Iran over its nuclear deal, said one, nObama's primary message is about his intent.
.
     "He has to persuade the Israeli audience that he is preoccupied with the security of Israel," said Jon Alterman, head of the Middle East program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. "Did wearing a kippa and speaking in a prominent synagogue do the trick? It certainly reinforced a sense of affinity and reassured some people of the nature of his ties to Israel."

     As he spoke with Dayan, nObama drew his own parallels between the African-American experience and the Jewish one.

     "In my mind, there is a direct line between the Jewish experience, the African-American experience, and as a consequence, we have, I hope, a special empathy and a special regard for those who are being mistreated because of the color of their skin or the nature of their faith," nObama said.

 Rick Perry Asks for a Second Look 
Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced his second presidential bid today. Perry's claim to fame is simple: jobs. Between 2007 and 2013, Texas created 1.5 million jobs while the rest of the nation lost 400,000. (What was that about Barack nObama's recovery?) In 2014, Texas created a record 457,900 jobs. During his entire tenure, the Lone Star State was responsible for more than a third of America's jobs. Even so — and with a current downturn in the oil industry slowing Texas' growth — Perry has made a concerted effort to expand his appeal beyond the economy. His generally successful 14-year tenure as governor of a large state should push him toward the top of the field, but he'll have to overcome two things: A phony indictment that amounts to charges of governing while Republican, and first impressions from the 2012 campaign. The latter could be harder, as his infamous "oops" moment in one of the last cycle's debates may have defined him too well. Naturally, he's trying to redeem himself from a bumbling 2012 run, which he blames on ill preparation and the after effects of major back surgery. One person who thinks he can do it is Matt Rhoades, Mitt Romney's campaign manager. “Gov. Perry has worked hard and done the right things to reposition himself for a run in 2016,” Rhoades said. “I believe his candidacy will have a major impact on the primary and voters will give him a second chance.” America is all about second chances, right?  -The Patriot Post

 Texas Campus Carry Ain’t Radical 
In yet another advancement for the Second Amendment, the Texas legislature passed a bill May 30 allowing concealed handgun carry on the state's college and university campuses. The bill has compromises, though, as it allows state schools to create supposed gun-free zones, and it gives private schools the option of forbidding guns on their campuses — like most other private businesses have the right to do. Texas Gov. Greg Abbot said he would sign the bill, making Texas one of 10 states that allow firearms on college campuses. But by the way some people are talking, you'd think the Lone Star State proposed some radical idea. Baylor University professor Lynn W. Tatum said, "The perception in academia will be that Texas is a free-fire zone with yokels in the classrooms packing heat." The underlying assumption is that college students are not mature enough to strap on a gun every morning. It's part of the condescending attitude that although they are legal adults, old enough to vote and be drafted into the military (where they carry guns, by the way), college students are still not recognized as fully adult. Besides, with all the focus on campus rape, Texas did well to remember that an armed society is a polite society.  -The Patriot Post

 nObama’s Perplexing Iran Dealings 
Less than one month before the deadline to reach a final nuclear deal with Iran, things are going swimmingly. Or not.
          Despite Barack nObama’s announcement that Iran’s nuclear program has been “frozen” during the past 18 months of negotiations, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in its latest report that Iran’s stockpile of nuclear fuel has actually grown by about 20% during that time. And according to the Center for Security Policy’s Fred Fleitz, were Iran to enrich this uranium to weapons grade, it would be enough to make at least nine nuclear weapons. How comforting.
          The New York Times reported that two potential reasons for the growth are “technical” difficulties preventing Iran from converting some of the uranium into fuel rods for reactors and attempts to gain an “edge” in the event negotiations fail. According to Fleitz, though, it’s what the Times didn’t report that is more troublesome: namely, “serious concerns … that Tehran may be trying to get the international community to allow it to have more centrifuges in a final nuclear agreement by manipulating the output of centrifuges it is currently operating to make them appear less efficient.”   -The Patriot Post

 NO DO-OVERS FOR PERRY 
Keep a good thought for poor Rick Perry. In his road to personal political redemption, he can’t even catch a break on his announcement day. On the day that Perry had long planned to kick off his presidential do-over, the former Texas governor finds himself upstaged by Jeb Bush’s announcement of an announcement now set for June 15 and Hilly Clinton’s visit to Perry’s native Texas.
          Perry’s announcement woes are a microcosm of his challenges in this cycle compared to the last one.
          Four years ago, Perry had the biggest boots of any candidate other than frontrunner Mitt Romney, whom Perry would quickly surpass in national polls. Relying on that stature, Perry made a cocky move with his announcement, dissing Iowa’s then-relevant straw poll and holding an event in South Carolina. He didn’t just skip Iowa’s big weekend, he tried to overshadow it.
          It didn’t sound so crazy back then. Perry was in second place and trailed frontrunner Romney by 8 points in the Fox News poll out just before his announcement in the first week of August 2011. By the end of the month, Perry was in first place, leading Romney by 8 points. Perry would hold the lead for all of the next month, sometimes with margins of almost 20 points over Romney in polls.
          But after a painful September in which Perry looked flat-footed as Romney and others savaged him over immigration and Perry’s call for a Social Security overhaul, Perry fell from the top spot and never recaptured it. Conventional wisdom wrongly remembers Perry’s collapse as tied to his infamous “oops” moment at a November CNBC debate. But that was the coda to his collapse, not its cause. By then, the Fox News poll had him in fourth place with just 7 percent of the vote.
          By the time Perry got to the Iowa caucuses two months later, he would finish fifth at a moment when he badly needed a solid showing. Caucus goers no doubt remembered his big-foot act from the summer and shunned him. Perry tried to cash in on his South Carolina credit line, but facing insurmountable odds, dropped out two days before the vote and endorsed Newt Gingrich for president of the United States.
          This time, Perry is focused on avoiding the mistakes of the past but his situation is entirely different. Perry is in the long-shot category. He is in a tie for ninth place and drawing just 4 percent of the vote in this week’s Fox News poll. There hasn’t been a poll on Texas’ March 1 primary for nearly four months, but at that point, Perry was in fourth place with 8 percent of the vote in the state he governed for 14 years.
          While Perry made his own weather four years ago, this time he is riding out storms of others’ making. Humility is almost always an attractive quality in politicians, but less so when it is so clearly merited as in Perry’s case.
          Republicans were eager for a fresh-faced conservative alternative in 2012. Last time, Perry was the only credible candidate who met that definition, now Republicans have a half-dozen or so choices in that regard. With Scott WalkerMarco Rubio and others on offer, it’s hard to see the necessity of Perry in this already crowded race. And getting an elbow on announcement day from his old enemies in Bush world shows that Perry’s payback continues.
          Perry’s wife, Anita, told CNN on Wednesday that she blamed herself for pushing her husband into his first run even though he was bound for a painful and complicated back surgery and recovery. It’s a sad story for a couple and a candidate, but not a rationale for a candidacy.

 Sunni Tribes Need Arms and Support to Fight ISIS

The United States still has an opportunity to turn that around, but the window is rapidly closing... Ramadi had for years been a symbol of the errors made by ISIS’s predecessor, Al Qaeda in Iraq. The Awakening movement — in which Sunni tribes rebelled against Al Qaeda’s excesses during Iraq’s civil war — was announced in Ramadi in September 2006. The anti-Qaeda uprising served as a model that was exported throughout Iraq, with the U.S. military playing a key role. This method of tribal engagement was central to Al Qaeda’s defeat in 2007-08. It is thus natural that U.S. officials hoped Sunni tribal engagement could similarly counter the Islamic State. But the U.S. was slow to arm the tribes, even after ISIS launched an offensive in September 2014 that captured several Anbar cities.      (kt@ktmcfarland.com) ~ If press reports are accurate, the nObama Administration is negotiating an historic deal with Iran which is both unverifiable and unenforceable.  And, since the President refuses to present it to Congress as a treaty requiring ratification, it’s probably also unconstitutional.  Without anytime/anyplace inspections the agreement is unverifiable.  If sanctions are lifted on Day One, Iran has little incentive to abide by the agreement on Day Two.  If the President tries to ‘snapback’ sanctions on Day Three, he will run into enormous pressure from all the companies that don’t want to give up lucrative business contracts.

     The President is betting if he gives the Iranian regime everything it wants, the mullahs will abandon their support for terrorist movements, forsake their expansionist policies, and stop chants of death to America and their calls for the annihilation of Israel.

Obama’s Iraq Strategy: Leave It for the Next Prez

“If [the Iraqis] are not willing to fight for the security of their country, we cannot do that for them,” Barack Obama declared again, though he reiterated his commitment to helping train Iraqi troops over a “multi-year” period. According to State Department official and Islamic State expert Brett McGurk, “It’s a three-year campaign to degrade the organization.” And as National Journal puts it, “Three years marked from mid-2014, of course, falls after Jan. 20, 2017, the date Obama leaves office. Translation: The strategy is to avoid sending ground troops for the remainder of his term. So stop asking.” Indeed, Obama campaigned in 2008 on ending the Iraq war. In 2011, having rejected the Bush strategy of establishing a status of forces agreement (SOFA) to secure our hard-won gains in Iraq and the region, Obama declared, “Everything Americans have done in Iraq, all the fighting, all the dying, the bleeding, the building and the training and the partnering, all of it has led to this moment of success. … We’re leaving behind a sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq.” And a narcissist can’t admit he’s wrong. He’s going to stubbornly stand pat, keep declaring victory, and leave the Islamic State for the next commander in chief to clean up.

Indeed, his spokesman Josh Earnest explicitly said just that: “In 2017, there will be a new commander in chief and someone else who will have a responsibility to evaluate the situation on the ground and determine what steps are necessary to continue to degrade and ultimately destroy ISIL. That’s something that we’ll leave to the next president.” But what will the next 18 months bring?

China Stole Data of Four Million

Now that the NSA is done scraping up the nation’s phone data, it should get on the task of protecting the U.S. from intrusions like the one that happened last December. U.S. investigators said that the personal data of four million current and former federal employees were stolen by hackers — most likely from China. While the Chinese Embassy in DC denied the allegation that the country was responsible for the intrusion, U.S. intelligence says the Chinese military is collecting a massive database on Americans, possibly as a way to find and recruit Americans as spies. “The breach is yet more evidence that Beijing sees the U.S. as an adversary and is unworried about any response aggression will elicit from the White House,” writes National Review’s Michael Auslin. “Whether it’s economic espionage, security challenges, or now hacking U.S. government websites, Beijing is testing, probing, and undermining America in any way that they can.” While the Obama administration’s Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal has some questions and drawbacks, a trade deal with the nations near China is a natural opportunity, a good first step, to diminish China’s influence in the Pacific. More…

EPA Contradicts Ecofascists on Fracking

For years, environmentalists have seen hydraulic fracturing — also known as fracking — as an insidious threat. Energy companies have used the technique to reach oil and gas deposits previously out of reach of traditional extraction methods. It’s a big reason why the nation has surged forward as one of the top oil producers in the world. After spending years studying fracking’s effect on drinking water, the Environmental Protection Agency released a draft reportconcluding, “We did not find evidence that these mechanisms have led to widespread, systemic impacts on drinking water resources in the United States. … The number of identified cases [where fracking led to contamination], however, was small compared to the number of hydraulically fractured wells.” This is a fire hose of water on the ecofascists' heated rhetoric. Last year, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, listening to the fear mongering of environmentalists, used an executive order to ban fracking in The Empire State. “EPA’s conclusion really is remarkable,” writes The Wall Street Journal. “The agency has yearned for an excuse to take over fracking regulation from the states, which do the job well. So if there was so much as a sliver of evidence that fracking was dangerous, the EPA would have found it.” More…

A Tale of Two Crooks and the IRS

With her roots in Roman mythology, Lady Justice represents morality and virtue through three symbols. First, she holds a set of scales in her left hand, to weigh evidence with reason and in light of the law. Second, she wields a double-edged sword in her right hand, representing the remedy impartially provided after the facts are laid bare before her. And third, she wears a blindfold, signifying that the law must be applied with objectivity and equality.

Yet too often politicians seek to lift this blindfold, wanting to redefine justice based on the year’s election cycle or to subvert it through delays, denials and tactics that advance their agenda.

Let’s examine two cases in which the Internal Revenue Service has been used as a tool for political revenge and harassment, and how they reflect an assault on justice that should offend all.

Consider the identical approaches of Richard Nixon and Barack Obama. One a Republican and the other a Democrat, both illustrate power’s ability to corrupt to the extreme, instituting a false democracy where disagreement and disloyalty are silenced by heavy-handed tactics.

Nixon’s legacy as the 37th president is often defined by his impeachment. Posterity’s view of Obama is still being penned, but both will be remembered for their unconstitutional misuse of government and for the tenured bureaucrats who willingly complied.

In the Articles of Impeachment adopted by the U.S. House Judiciary Committee in 1974, most remember Article I, which declared Nixon “impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors” committed surrounding the break-in at the Democratic National Headquarters at the Watergate Hotel on June 17, 1972.

The charges leveled by Congress state, “Subsequent thereto, Richard M. Nixon, using the powers of his high office, engaged personally and through his close subordinates and agents, in a course of conduct or plan designed to delay, impede, and obstruct the investigation of such illegal entry; to cover up, conceal and protect those responsible; and to conceal the existence and scope of other unlawful covert activities.”

The break-in and burglary were indeed illegal and brought disgrace to the office of the president. But the obstruction, delays and attempts to conceal the covert activities all demonstrated an egregiously deliberate abuse of the power afforded the president of the United States.

Yet those same Articles of Impeachment issue a second damning charge, accusing Nixon of “using the powers of the office of President of the United States … in violation of his constitutional oath.” Nixon “repeatedly engaged in conduct violating the constitutional rights of citizens, impairing the due and proper administration of justice and the conduct of lawful inquiries, or contravening the laws governing agencies of the executive branch and the purposed of these agencies.”

Specifically, Nixon, “acting personally and through his subordinates and agents, endeavored to obtain from the Internal Revenue Service” information of citizens he had on his “enemies list” who he deemed politically dangerous to his ambitions.

Today’s ongoing IRS scandal involves conservative political groups whose applications for tax-exempt status were deliberately slowed. This similar flagrant abuse of authority commenced during Obama’s first term, helping him win a second, and it features the Nixonian ingredients of willing participants who delay, obstruct and lie to protect the crimes against innocent citizens.

Last week, Mary Howard, the head Freedom of Information Act officer at the IRS, testified to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that the agency set up a secret “special project team” comprised of “hundreds of attorneys,” including the IRS Chief Counsel (one of only two politically appointed positions at the IRS by the president himself). She said her “understanding was that it started soon after the request came from Congress and other investigators asking for documents around this whole issue,” which she surmised meant around spring 2013.

Not only were law-abiding citizens targeted by an agency of the U.S. government for their political and religious views, but Obama’s henchmen implemented a plan to cover up this activity and delay information from getting into the hands of investigators. Key to this malfeasance is IRS Chief Counsel William Wilkins — appointed by Obama — whose office has been directly connected in this harassment and abuse, which includes illegal requests and access to donor information.

Ironically, this unquestionable presidential corruption — the same as the misuse of power that ended in impeachment for Nixon — now leaves Republicans in fear of the political consequences for seeking justice. Democrats simply protect themselves through vindictive attacks and accusations of racism.

There was a day when the law was equally applied regardless of partisan stripe. And history has shown that both Republicans and Democrats can pursue justice for the honor and sake of our nation and Constitution. It’s only a matter of time before future generations declare Obama and his administration as lawless, dishonorable deceivers of the American public, corrupt for the sake of ambition and political power.

Justice may be blind, but she’s not stupid.

     (city-journal.org) ~ For all the promises made by politicians on both sides of the aisle, budget math makes clear how little room exists for new government spending. The federal budget is on autopilot. Spending for entitlements will soon crowd out most of what Washington does. Any new initiative that requires major financing is suspect.

     The underlying budget realities are stark. Some 70 percent of all federal spending goes to entitlements—Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, and the still relatively small (for now) costs of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). These spending flows continue to grow automatically; Congress doesn’t even debate them. Legislative discretion does come into play regarding the next-largest budget item—defense, at about 17 percent of the total—but even here, little room for maneuver exists, given past cuts and today’s deteriorating geopolitical situation. Interest obligations on outstanding federal debt eat up another 6.5 percent of the total. That leaves barely 6.5 percent of the budget for everything else Washington does— including education, infrastructure spending, and all the other things that the political class discusses and about which it makes its most lavish promises.

     And entitlement spending promises to narrow the choices still further. For decades, through both Republican and Democratic Congresses and presidential administrations, entitlement-spending growth has outstripped the growth of the rest of the budget, steadily enlarging its share of the total. The rate of gain has slowed from time to time, but it has never paused for long, let alone declined. In five years, entitlement spending could command three-quarters of the federal budget. The swelling ranks of retiring baby boomers and the new spending obligations imposed by the ACA could push that percentage even higher.

     Other realities will bring even more pressure to bear. Outlays for interest payments on the national debt will take a larger share of the budget—perhaps doubling to 13 percent within a few years—not only because the size of outstanding debt is increasing but also because the cost of financing the debt will rise. Until now, a relative drop in Pentagon spending has offset the impact of increased entitlement spending on the rest of the budget. Today’s 17 percent Defense Department share is a far cry from the 1960s, when national defense commanded as much as 50 percent of the federal budget. Even additional outlays for the War on Terror pushed the Pentagon’s spending share only as high as 20 percent—and only for a short time.

     Washington has only two ways out of the entitlements squeeze. The first is for government to take more out of the economy, either through higher taxes or greater levels of borrowing. Neither Congress nor the public is likely to endorse such moves. The second alternative—enacting reforms that would slow or reverse the growth of entitlement spending—would be unpopular as well. But action can be postponed for only so long. Keep that in mind this year, and especially next, when political candidates unleash their usual array of promises and plans.

Which came first... the egg or the chicken?  Labor and Capital... are mutually intertwined and when in harmony produce the greatest good.  Can one exist without the other?  Was it labor that produced Capital or was it Capital that generated labor...jobs?

The problem with many is that they are ungrateful ... ignoring the contribution of others to the common good.   Labor and Capital are complementary components that drive the engines of wealth creation.  Like husband and wife the two operate most effectively in a marriage that promotes the common good of both parties. 

However, mankind has complicated what should be a mutual effort for the benefit of all parties... each seeking more than they are entitled.  Labor and Capital should recognize the need for each other and work together to find common ground ... when they do both prosper... each taking only that which they earn, neither party looking to benefit more than the other. Is it a 50/50 proposition... no, but it is not a 90/10 either.

Greed and avarice exist on both sides of the equation... capital looking to MAXIMIZE profits seeks to withhold labors fair share. Labor looking for security and a larger share than their contribution to the venture seek to take more than they earn.  What is needed is a Godly relationship where equity and just compensation is rendered to all parties. Labor and Capital must find a formula that works for both parties.  Until they do there will always be an antagonistic relationship between the parties.

I fear that with the deterioration of God's ethical standards in society today, that  the relationship between labor and capital will only grow more complicated and divergent ... driving a never ending cycle of distrust and conflict between the two parties.  America and the world must find leaders in both Industry (capital) and Labor that are able to frame the economic debate in such a way that an environment of cooperation between both parties is created... Or, the world will continue to see cycles of violence and revolution in society.  Karl Marx's theory of social unrest and revolution is not without some truth.

The Law

Cut down the law and no man can stand in the wind; for the law is a harbor against the storm, a wall of safety against mankind's penchant for evil. Evil men seek not justice under the law... they see the righteousness of the law as a hindrance to their cause and would sooner pervert the law to their own cause... braking down the wall of safety, setting loose the wind to wreck havoc  upon their neighbors.

Where is the law of rectitude when unjust men sit in high places... and the harbor of safety when Kings are lawless?  Civility is cast away, with the lawless, and the winds of havoc wreck the safety of multitudes, when the law is breeched...  How terrible the calamity of a people who live under the hand of despots... whose lawless conduct changes daily with the wind?

Kings ought to fear the law... for in the law is the strength of their kingdom; without the hand of the law, there is no scepter, no realm, no order... no kingdom to rule. There the lawless struggle daily to find peace; finding none, for the law is the pathway too peace and without law peace cannot be found.  A kingdom is defined by its law and a King made strong thru the consistent application of the law.   Where no law or unstable law exist, there is no Kingdom; only the misery of oppression wrought by the hand of tyrants, whose unstable ways are reflected in the manner of civil order.

A nation without the righteousness of the law cannot survive ... a nation with corrupt law is a country filled with tyranny and wickedness.  Our nation is becoming the harbinger of every evil work; a nation filled with the lawless. beginning in the White House. Lawlessness has taken root in every department and office in the land. 

America is a people at risk of loosing their liberty and national security... at the hand of despots and the lawless our ship of state is being driven by an evil wind.  The People must act too redress the evil present at the helm or watch as their ship of state is driven upon the rocks, to be broken up by pressing waives of deceit and the winds of the lawless.

No man, no Nation... can stand against the winds of lawlessness in high places...

 Congress Cuts the Line on NSA Data Collection 
The Senate passed the USA Freedom Act Tuesday without amendment, and Barack nObama signed it, curbing the NSA's mass collection of every American's phone records. While it's a victory for privacy advocates, work remains in ensuring that the U.S. government respects the Fourth Amendment. Instead of scraping up records on every call in the U.S., the act dictates that private phone companies will keep the records and the government can request the information. The Senate's 67-32 vote split the Republican Party between its leadership and the more libertarian-leaning lawmakers. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell complained, "There are a number of us who feel very strongly that this is a significant weakening of the tools that were put in place in the wake of 9/11 to protect the country." But Rep. James Sensenbrenner, the author of the Patriot Act, said some of those "tools" (i.e., mass data collection) were never meant to be given. Notably, Sen. Rand Paul, perhaps the most prominent advocate for NSA reform, voted against the USA Freedom Act, saying it didn't go far enough. With Sen. Ron Wyden, Paul proposednine amendments that would have required the government to offer greater justification before it spied on a citizen. For over a decade, the country has been in a constant state of war, allowing an erosion of Fourth Amendment rights because it feared a "lone-wolf terrorist" attack or another 9/11.  The TSA Is Groping for Relevancy 
In a recent internal investigation into the TSA's airport screening process, "red teams" working for the Department of Homeland Security were able to sneak bombs and other weapons through the TSA's line 95% of the time. In other words, of the 70 times DHS tested the system, the TSA caught only three attempts. For an agency with "security" as its middle name, that's a dismal and dangerous track record. In a statement, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson tried to downplay the findings. "The numbers in these reports never look good out of context," he said, "but they are a critical element in the continual evolution of our aviation security. … The Inspector General's preliminary test results are classified, and it is not appropriate or prudent to publicly describe these results." But the findings were serious enough for Johnson to order a special briefing on the report. Then the axe fell swiftly, as the acting head of the TSA was reassigned Monday. Acting Deputy Director Mark Hatfield Jr. will take over. As Reason's J.D. Tuccille notes, the vulnerabilities in TSA's security net have been "revealed, complained about, and baked in for years." The Heritage Foundation's David Inserra argues that perhaps it's time for the TSA to step aside and let private security firms do the job cheaper, friendlier and better. Ironically, Warren is more powerful in the Senate and among Democrats in general because of her decision not to run.  THE MEDIA’S MISSING LINC 
Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chaffee is not a suitable Democratic nominee. He’s a party switcher from a tiny state and who has a less-than-stellar track record. But as Chaffee launches his candidacy today why isn’t he getting the kind of loving attention that the even more unsuitable Sen. Bernie Sanders has received? After all, Chaffee is so far showing far more courage in taking on his party’s establishment than Sanders. And unlike Sanders and former Gov. Martin O’Malley so far, Chaffee is willing to hit presumptive nominee Hilly Clinton where it hurts: foreign policy. Liberals have cheered on Sanders for moving Clinton to the left but Democrats and the establishment press seems ready to give her a free pass on foreign policy.
          As CNNs new poll confirmsPresident nObama’s Iraq war is at least a political disaster, whatever you say about the tactics. It is as unpopular as George W. Bush’s Iraq war prior to the 2007 troop surge and says equal numbers of Americans blame Bush and nObama for the rise of ISIS. The WaPo/ABC News poll substantially concurs, giving nObama a 31 percent approval rating on his ISIS policy overall. Even assuming Democrats back nObama at a higher rate than the general population, there are deep problems here. What would Clinton do differently? How would she solve the crisis? How does she explain the rise of ISIS in Libya after the rebellion she backed there went awry? These are far more important questions for the former secretary of state than how many brands of deodorant she believes as just society would offer.
          Clinton can keep playing patty-cake with her party’s left wing by just talking. Clinton can elicit oohs and ahs just for using liberal buzzwords on income inequality, police policies, immigration and sexual practices. But on the question of what she would do today about ISIS, Iran, Libya and a bevy of other foreign policy issues: zilch.
          Lincoln Chaffee is not quite as unlikely to be the Democratic nominee as Sanders, but the fact that his prosecution of Clinton’s record is ignored while Sander’s long-shot run gets so much coverage may tell you all need to know about Clinton’s structural advantages with the press.

     For instance, what nObama took away from the creeps running wild was that urban police should not be allowed to use the best equipment available to protect themselves or their cities from the barbarians. Instead of dropping the hammer on those who riot, nObama has decided that cops should be deprived of riot gear.

     For her part, Marilyn Mosby, the prosecutor who assured the mob that she would deliver justice on their behalf, has urged a judge to place a gag order on the six cops she indicted and their lawyers. In the meantime, she constantly attacks the defendants in the media. Unless the entire state wishes to see itself humiliated, Ms. Mosby must be called on the carpet by the Maryland Bar Association for displaying such obvious contempt of the First Amendment.

     It is a strange world in which states, cities and major corporations, condemn Indiana for passing a law guaranteeing the religious rights of business owners, but absolutely nobody suggests boycotting Baltimore, whose mayor essentially rolled out the red carpet for vandals and arsonists, and then essentially begged the mob for forgiveness.

     Mayor Rawlings-Blake even went so far as to invite Loretta Lynch’s Justice Department to investigate the Baltimore P.D. for institutional racism. Keep in mind that Baltimore is just possibly the blackest major city in America. Its population is 68% black, as is its police force. Its fire department is 58% black, its school district 86% black and its city council is 90% black. Its Mayor is black, as is its Chief of Police and its congressional representative, Elijah Cummings.

     But with all that, 54% of its population is on welfare, and the blame for that is naturally directed at white conservatives.

     Liberals, as well as some bottom-feeding Republicans, blame black poverty on all sorts of things, but rarely mention fatherless homes and a 71% rate of illegitimate births. We all know that black kids seeking an education are often taunted for “acting white.” I wonder if black men who are married to the mothers of their children and who help support their families are also demeaned for “acting white.”

     We are all very much aware of the exceptional blacks -- people like Thomas Sowell, Condoleezza Rice, Walter Williams, Larry Elder and Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke, Jr. -- but what constantly confounds me are the millions of hard-working, responsible blacks who get an education, learn a trade, stay off drugs and raise their children, but who still vote for the same sleazy plantation owners as those sucking up welfare as if it's their birth right.

     Another staple of black apologists is to blame the staggering incarceration rate of black men on a racist legal system. But a fair number of blacks being sent to jail are judged by black juries, sentenced by black judges and defended by black lawyers. So it is rather difficult to blame white society for all the black criminals serving time.

     To begin with, there are 320,000,000 Americans. Of the 320 million, whites number 206 million; Hispanics, 54 million; blacks, 38 million; Asian, 18 million, American Indian and Alaskan natives, four million. But when you study the prison population, the numbers are so out of whack, that you either have to accept that ours is an even more corrupt legal system than the one run by the Nazis, or that certain groups of people simply commit a disproportional percentage of crimes.

     Whites constitute roughly 65% of the population at large, but constitute only 24% of those in jail; Hispanics are 17% of the population, but 35% of those behind bars; blacks are 13% of the population, but an astonishing 37.5% of those in the cooler. Although they represent 5.3% of the population, Asians are clearly underachievers in this one particular area, representing a meager 1.5% of America’s prison population.

     Only a liberal would look at those numbers and blame the system. And only nObama would move to decriminalize drug dealing as a way to make those numbers look better. But as the Wall Street Journal’s black editorial writer, Jason Riley, has pointed out, even if we stopped jailing drug dealers, the black prison percentage would only drop from 37.5% to 37%.

     ♦ As bad as liberal policies are for America, they are even worse around the world. Because nObama is so adamant about having what only he regards as a major foreign policy achievement on his resume, he is leaving Israel and the Gulf nations to swing in the breeze while he offers Iran the entire Middle East in exchange for a signature on a nuclear deal.

     If he had a single ounce of red blood in his veins, nObama would have sent our military over there months ago to wipe out ISIS before they burned, beheaded or crucified any more people. Instead, nObama and his stooges defend his inaction by insisting that Americans are war-weary. I beg to differ. What we’re sick of is engaging in wars we have no desire to win unconditionally.

     If an American president ever pledged himself to wipe out those in the Middle East and North Africa who target Christians for extermination, who kidnap young girls and turn them into sex slaves and who exhort their pea-brained followers in the U.S. and Britain to execute soldiers, cops and civilians, I feel reasonably confident that his approval rate would hover well above 80%.

     ♦ Speaking of the shame of a nation, a reader recently let me know that he agrees with those who compare nObama to the totalitarian tyrants of the 20th century. I replied that I had no doubt that he shared the instincts of Stalin, Hitler, Franco, Mao, Castro and Mussolini, but, fortunately, he lacks their power to kill dissidents or even have them exiled to Siberian gulags. The most he can do is sic the IRS on them, which is contemptible, but not fatal.

     My reader then wrote back to say that, unlike the way things were even in the 80s and 90s, thanks to current technology and mass education, we now have a lot of people who have amassed huge amounts of information, but only a few who have enough sense to put a washer on a screw before assembling something and wrenching a nut on it.

     In response, I wrote: “Going back even further, we had a bunch of guys named Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Adams, who even knew how to put a washer on a new nation they’d just invented. But now everything is coming undone because of one loose nut in the Oval Office.”

However, after being roundly and vehemently criticized by those who INSIST that our nation was founded in Christianity…

Here we go.

One of the things most often thrown in among the ever-so-Christian name calling aimed at me was this, which I was told in no uncertain terms, was PROOF that we are a nation founded in Christianity.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator (God) with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

First of all…”that all men are created equal” to our founders and framers meant that ALL men…of the WORLD and not just of the United States are created equal and second…”endowed by their creator,” does not denote any specific religion whatsoever and, for that matter, “Creator” was a deliberately chosen word derived NOT from Christianity but from DEISM…a widely held system of belief in the middle 18th century and one that MANY of our Founders and Framers followed.

     (peggynoonan.com) ~ I find myself feeling mellow on the subject of 2016. I have nonspecific affection and sympathy for everyone. Actually when I think of the Republican field the picture that comes to mind is of Cloris Leachman in the movie “Spanglish.” Merrily: “I love you. I love everybody, that’s what killed me.” I am interested that wherever I go people say “Who’s going to win?” and when I say I have no idea they say, “No, really?” There are many Americans these days who think there are other Americans who have the lowdown inside scoop and should share it. I told a woman the other day that when I ask 20 Republicans who they like I get a lot of different answers including, often, “I don’t know.” She looked skeptical. Who do you like, I asked. She said, “I don’t know—any of them!” Republicans strike me right now as both chipper and dour. Chipper: Whoever we get, it will be better than the guy in the White House. Dour: But maybe America will just go for Hilly. They all follow the polls. They should take heart from the terrible pre-election polls in Britain. There may be a lot of shy Tories in America, too.      Having listened a few times to to Megyn Kelly and Jeb Bush on Iraq, I have to think he misunderstood the question either honestly or conveniently.

     Kelly: “On the subject of Iraq . . . knowing what we know now, would you have authorized the invasion?”

     Bush: “I would have, and so would have Hilly Clinton, just to remind everybody, and so would have almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence they got.”
.
Kelly: “You don’t think it was a mistake?”
.
     Bush: “In retrospect the intelligence that everybody saw, that the world saw, not just the United States, was faulty.”
.
     Bush seems at first to be answering the question, “Would you as president in 2003 have invaded Iraq as your brother did?” And he seems to answer in the affirmative: Yes, because of the intelligence, and Hilly Clinton would have done the same.
.
     But that isn’t what Kelly asked. She said: Knowing what we know now would you have invaded? Meaning, knowing how it turned out—knowing we would not find weapons of mass destruction, knowing a destabilized Iraq would produce many bitter outcomes, knowing 12 years later the war would be unwon, knowing we had illusions about Iraq’s ability or willingness to transform itself into a peaceful constitutional democracy—would you have invaded? He doesn’t answer that question.

So he’ll be asked it again, and should be prepared.
.
     If his honest answer is, “No, knowing what we now know I would not have invaded,” it will be a big story for a while, with headlines like “Jeb: Iraq Was a Mistake—Breaks With Brother on Most Consequential Decision of Presidency.” But as an answer it will be in line with the thinking of the majority of Americans. If the answer is “Yes, I still would have invaded even knowing what we know” that will likely set off a firestorm, and last longer.

     It is hard for me to believe he doesn’t think invading Iraq was a blunder. I wonder if he feels he can say it.

     In any case he’ll be asked again. There was never going to be any dodging of this question.

     A friend this morning sent a note, jeering at Scott Walker for having significant personal debt. He linked to this story. My friend’s tone suggested the debt makes Walker look less impressive as an individual and less viable as a presidential candidate.

     My reaction was the opposite. To me the story made Walker look normal. (That in fact was my impression of him when I met him about a year ago for coffee at a New York restaurant. I was late. He was at a small table alone, reading some papers. No aides, no staff, no security, just a guy at a table, a Midwestern businessman having a cup of coffee between meetings. He also acted normal. This was so startling to me—politicians now are so often weird, outsized, faintly deranged—that I couldn’t stop thinking about it.) According to the piece Walker owes up to $50,000 to Sears and some perhaps similar amount on another card. His spokeswoman said well, yeah, he’s got two kids in college and his parents live with him. His yearly salary is $144,423. More jaw dropping: his net worth is minus $72,500. Meaning he has done a great deal of work and accomplished many things over the years and never bothered to make himself rich. This is so refreshing—public service that is not, apparently, a self-enrichment project—that I can’t help but think we should tip our hats. Good for him for doing it the old-fashioned way. As for its impact on his appeal, unless I’m very wrong, a lot of Americans will feel not derisive about his financial condition but almost touched. “Harry Truman had no money either.”

     My friend said Walker’s lack of wealth suggests he can be bought. I’m seeing it the opposite: if he hasn’t sold himself yet, it suggests he is not for sale.

     The other day I spoke to Mike Huckabee. He’d announced just the day before. I liked his speech, kind of warmly fiery. He’s under great pressure for not joining the call to cut entitlement spending. But the way he argued for his position cut through, had a certain moral force, and will have plenty of appeal:
.
     “Some propose that to save safety nets like Medicare and Social Security, we need to chop off the payouts for the people who have faithfully had their paychecks and pockets picked by the politicians promising that their money would be waiting for them when they were old and sick. You were forced to pay for Social Security and Medicare for 50 years. The government grabs money from our paychecks and says it will be waiting for us when we turn 65. If Congress wants to take away someone’s retirement, let them end their own congressional pensions—not your Social Security. As president, I promise you will get what you paid for.”

     That’s written in a way—you’ll get what you paid for—that might give him room to maneuver as president. Here I note that it is the politician who has a natural, visceral and well-known opposition to something who is best situated to do it and get away with it. Nixon could go to China because he was rather on record as not liking commies; Reagan could raise taxes in 1983 because he hated them, so if he did he probably had to. I suspect it is an amnesty foe who will be best situated to down the road get some form of immigration reform through. Huckabee, viscerally opposed to reform that comes on the backs of the people, and with a reputation as a spender as governor, could be well-positioned to get some sort of entitlement deal through.

     What is Huckabee conservatism? “Taxes ought not to punish productivity and reward irresponsibility. That’s why I’m a proponent of the fair tax. Second, that we would turn loose true capitalism but not crony-insider capitalism that dominates the American economy today.” He referred to “the Washington-to-Wall Street axis of power.” He said: “Outside that loop there’s no sense of recovery.”

     That sounds pretty populist. Is he a populist? “People say ‘Huckabee is a populist.’ If it means I have a connection to those who do not have any connection to that axis of power than yes.”
.
     What is the American mood right now? “I think the mood is frustrated with a dysfunctional government that is so disconnected with the lives people really live. . . . The economy isn’t in recovery. You need to talk to the people I talk to each day. Their economy is stumbling. No one in Washington cares less about what’s going on in their lives, across all the demographics of race, gender, age, religion.” You see the detachment from real life in the “inane questions from journalists” who obsess on polls and process. “I’m thinking seriously, there are millions out of work, high rent, foreclosures.” It is producing a national “loss of dignity of which Washington, D.C., is not aware.”
.
     What is the biggest misconception about you? That he’s “a big government guy.” He feels he governed effectively “in a hard-core Democratic state . . . with a structure that was far more partisan. . . . A lot of the think tanks that evaluate states have a template that does not account for the political dynamics (in those states), who has power to do what. They compare Arkansas to Texas or California. They’re not applicable.”

     I asked if he thought the impact of his popular Saturday-night show on Fox, and his radio broadcasts, might be comparable in effect to the television and radio work of Ronald Reagan. Does he think the impression he made might have a residual power that isn’t sufficiently appreciated? “Gosh, I hope it does.” He thinks it will help protect him from attacks. “One of the things that was very evident was where I was easily defined eight years ago by opponents, now when people throw the nastiest stuff . . . people being polled say, ‘No, I like Huckabee, I see him on TV, hear him on the radio.’”

     There’s a “misguided narrative” of the 2008 campaign that says he had only evangelical support. “Where I had most support was working-class people disconnected from the political elite, and some were evangelical and some not.” He sees “disaffected, struggling” working-class people as his natural base. “I wanna be faithful, speak not just to them but for them.”
.
     Are you too kind of Southern/hokey/cornball to get the nomination in a party that after eight years of nObama is feeling tougher, hungrier, maybe harder? You can’t see someone bridle over the phone but I sensed bridling. “What people want more than geography, region or accent is a history of leading. I went into a harsh Democratic environment as governor of Arkansas and got 95% of my record passed. If they really want to win they need someone not only with a history of fighting but winning.”

     He ended with political philosophy. “Elections are won vertically, not horizontally. Horizontal politics is liberals versus conservatives, Democrats versus Republicans. But the people in the middle who swing the election, they don’t think or vote horizontally. They are not left and right, they are ‘Are you taking me up or down?’ If they see your optimism and record they’ll vote for you. People perceived nObama vertically, not horizontally.”

U.S. Economy Prepares for Leisurely Summer Months

It’s summer, and college students are putting down their laptops and picking up temporary jobs. And a few days ago, the Commerce Department revised their estimate for the nation’s GDP; from January to March, the nation’s GDP output shrank by 0.7%. These events mean the May jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics is a mixed bag. The headlining numbers look good. In May, the U.S. added 280,000 jobs and the unemployment rate has stayed essentially unchanged since January at 5.5%. The U6 unemployment rate, which also measures the people struggling through long-term unemployment and people stuck in part-time jobs, held at 10.8%. Wages rose, however, as hourly earnings rose eight cents so the average American worker is earning $24.96 an hour. With the numbers comes the greater chance that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates in September, reports CNBC. But much of the notable job gain comes just ahead of the summer months, a possible sign that Americans have more discretionary spending, notes Market Watch. Leisure and hospitality fields added 57,000 jobs last month, and another 29,000 jobs were added to the field of arts, entertainment and recreation. This raises questions about the kind of industry on which the nation is building the economy.

Most Americans Want Income Redistribution

A recent poll conducted by The New York Times and CBS News finds that not only are Americans concerned with inequality but they want the government to go after the rich and redistribute their wealth. Paul wants the government to rob Peter. “The poll found that a strong majority say that wealth should be more evenly divided and that it is a problem that should be addressed urgently,” the Times reports. “Nearly six in 10 Americans said government should do more to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor, but they split sharply along partisan lines. Only one-third of Republicans supported a more active government role, versus eight in 10 of Democrats.” The report goes on to say inequality of wealth may become a prominent issue in the larger 2016 election. It’s a convenient narrative for Obama. His redistributionist policies — from an ill-conceived and ill-targeted “stimulus” to ObamaCare — have clearly stalled the nation’s economic engine, but he and his acolytes can simply continue to tell the poor and middle class that the deck is stacked against them. The Leftmedia, of course, dutifully parrots this false narrative, and the means to create wealth continue to languish.

Protecting Nonprofits From SCOTUS Marriage Ruling

The Supreme Court is considering a case that would hand down the definition of marriage nationwide. As U.S. Solicitor General Donald Verrilli told the court, the fact that some religious nonprofits will decide not to hire people due to their beliefs in same-sex marriage is “certainly going to be an issue.” In the possible fallout of the coming ruling, a Christian school could lose its nonprofit status if, say, it refused to hire an openly homosexual man. Rather than waiting for the Court’s decision, Sen. Mike Lee plans to introduce legislation that would protect religious nonprofits. “Discrimination by private parties against private parties — that’s one issue,” he said. “There is a different issue when the government is itself the discriminator. … That’s a problem and that’s what we’re trying to protect here.” The bill Lee would introduce is similar to the 2013 Marriage and Religious Freedom Act. While the courts have tended toward interpreting U.S. law broadly when it comes to religious liberty, the issue has become unnecessarily politicized in legislatures across the country. The First Amendment was drafted to ensure that diverse opinions were never driven from the public square. But that fundamental principle is at odds with the Left’s agenda. More…

Inevitable Hillary Calls for Universal Vote

The media and the Democrat establishment have done a fine job trying to convince the American people that Hillary Clinton is going to be the next president of the United States. We only need to sit back and accept it like we would the next sunrise. But all isn’t well with the Clinton brand these days. In fact, the case could be made that her road to the White House is not nearly as foregone a conclusion as we’ve been told.

The lengthy list of Clinton scandals hasn’t seemed to stop the Hillary machine just yet, but the Clinton Foundation’s numerous sketchy dealings are beginning to take their toll.

The latest chapter in the Clinton Slush Fund’s ongoing improprieties includes FIFA, the world soccer body whose executives appear to have been engaging in corrupt acts for two decades. It now turns out that Qatar, the host country for the lucrative World Cup in 2022, was a regular donor to the Clinton Foundation and was a sponsor of the 2013 Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting. By that point, there were widespread allegations that the country had bribed its way into hosting the 2022 tournament. There were also accusations that unsafe working conditions in the building of its soccer stadiums for the World Cup led to the deaths of numerous immigrant workers.

Donations to the Foundation from Qatar and FIFA had been ongoing since 2006 and continued through Hillary’s term as secretary of state. In public, Hillary was calling for a stronger stance against Middle Eastern regimes and Bill was decrying the abuse of migrant workers. In private, however, Qatar was donating between $1 million and $5 million to the Clintons.

Bill’s response to all this is to shrug and move on. He told attendees at a Foundation event in March, “My theory about all this is disclose everything and then let people make their judgments.”

Theory and practice are clearly two different things with the Clintons.

Take, for instance, Hillary’s stance against the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United ruling. She claims to want open political discourse, but she is so staunchly opposed to open spending on political activity by corporations and independent groups that she vows to support only those Supreme Court nominees who are sworn to overturn Citizens United. In other words, a litmus test. And let’s not forget that the whole case was about a movie funded by political groups critical of Hillary. She’s all for free speech, so long as she approves of the speech.

Hillary’s assault on voter laws is also motivated by how it will benefit her campaign. She called Thursday for universal and automatic voter registration, a horrible idea to eliminate the most basic requirement of having to register to vote. It’s her plan to counter voter ID laws, which she complains are a nasty invention of Republicans who are “systematically and deliberately trying to stop millions of American citizens from voting.”

Democrats have long attacked voter ID laws, which, of course, are really in place to prevent fraud. But seeing as how Democrats have a tougher time winning elections legitimately, these laws are an impediment to their grand plan. Her strategy includes identifying sympathetic judges and jurisdictions to hear cases against voter ID laws in hopes of at least suspending those laws for the 2016 presidential race.

Interestingly enough, a recent Rasmussen poll shows that 76% of Americans — and 58% of Democrats — support voter ID laws. The Leftmedia predictably labels voter ID laws racist, thereby perpetuating the BIG lie. Yet the Rasmussen report demonstrates that the American public isn’t exactly buying what they’re being sold on this one.

In fact, the American public may not be buying what they’re being sold about Hillary Clinton in general. A recent CNN poll shows that Hillary is in free fall in a number of demographic categories. Her general favorability rating is at 46% for, 50% against. Among men, she has 38% favorability, with 58% not liking her. She has a 54% favorability with women, but a 59% unfavorable opinion among whites. Young people ages 18-34 give her a 55% favorability rating, but they’re traditionally the least informed and least active voting bloc. She’s trending poorly among most other age groups, with older people liking her least. And she also loses points among people in income groups above $50,000.

Meanwhile, her tone-deaf campaign marches merrily along, trampling on a previously scheduled youth event and blood drive to make way for a campaign event at New York City’s Roosevelt Island.

While the 2016 Democrat nomination appears to be earmarked for Hillary, perhaps her inevitable presidency isn’t quite so inevitable. It’s comforting to see after all this time that larger swaths of the electorate are finally getting to know the real Hillary.
