“On Wednesday, July 27, 2011, the Committee on Homeland Security will hold the third in the series of hearings on domestic radicalization entitled “Al Shabaab: Recruitment and Radicalization within the Muslim American Community and the Threat to the Homeland.”  The Committee will meet at 10:00 a.m. in 311 Cannon House Office Building.

“In our first two hearings, the Committee has examined radicalization of Muslim-Americans generally and focused on the problem of radicalization in U.S. prisons. 

“At this hearing, the third in a series, we will examine Somalia-based terrorist organization al Shabaab’s ongoing recruitment, radicalization, and training of young Muslim-Americans and al Shabaab’s linking up with al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). 

“In Minnesota, Ohio, and other states, dozens of young Muslim males have been recruited, radicalized, and then taken from their communities for overseas terrorist training by al Shabaab.  In a number of cases, the men – including both Somali-Americans and other converts—have carried out suicide bombings or have otherwise been killed, often without their families even knowing where their sons have gone.  There has not been sufficient cooperation from mosque leaders.  In at least one instance, a Minnesota imam told the desperate family of a missing young man not to cooperate with the FBI.

“There are growing concerns that al Shabaab in Somalia is linking up with al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in Yemen to better train these radicalized young men in order to attack Americans around the world, as well as launch attacks against our homeland.  

“This coordinated and ongoing recruitment and radicalization of young Muslim men in the U.S. is a serious and growing threat to our homeland security and simply cannot be ignored.”

“For two-and-a-half years, the neo-fascist Democrats, led by Harry Reid, D-NV, and Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, willfully refused to submit a budget, despite controlling a large majority in both houses of Congress and the presidency.

The government has thus been forced to operate on continuing resolutions, allowing them to play brinksmanship games over and over. And each time, they and their Ministry of Propaganda (the “mainstream” media) pour out a torrent of hysterical lies about how the Republicans are out to brutally kill old people, torture autistic children, starve the working poor, cut off medical care for the seriously ill, and any other far-fetched, hateful, rabble-rousing charge they can dream up.

In the meantime, they used their majority to increase the deficit to 400 percent what it was in the last year of the Bush presidency. Although they and the Propaganda Ministry demand that this insane spending be done without debate, without amendment, and without even reading the blatantly unconstitutional spending bills, they are still trying to blame it all on Republicans.

The Ministry of Propaganda is particularly fond of applying the term “unprecedented” to the usurper who currently is squatting in the White House. And I agree. Many things about his actions and those of his unindicted co-conspirators are unprecedented:

1.     Never, in the entire history of America, have the people been so transparently lied to by their government, every day, at every level, and on every issue, as they have been under Obama-Soetoro and the neo-fascist Democrats;

2.    Never, in the entire history of America, has a Congress and/or an administration so willfully ignored and bypassed the Constitution;

3.    Never, in the entire history of America, has a Congress and a president so knowingly ignored the wishes of the citizens, repeatedly passing laws that are unequivocally opposed by large, clear majorities;

4.    Never, in the entire history of America, has a “Justice” Department refused to enforce the laws of the United States, based on racism and political agendas; and

5.     Never, in the entire history of America, has fraud and corruption been so widespread in government, and so totally ignored and/or covered up.

Unprecedented, indeed.

And now we are treated to the spectacle of the “leadership” of both parties putting on an absurd charade, a grotesque farcical mime, ostensibly to solve a non-existent, self-manufactured “crisis.” Our colossal, insane, unsustainable debt, incurred by uncontrolled spending of borrowed money to further a Cloward-Piven-Alinsky strategy aimed at the destruction of free, capitalist America, must be significantly reduced – immediately – or our nation’s AAA credit rating will be lowered. Credit rating companies such as Moody’s Investor Services have made this stipulation unmistakable, unambiguous, and up-front for some time now, yet the cuts being proposed in the Capitol Hill/White House performance are so miniscule as to guarantee a downgrade. It certainly seems that the intention is to knock over the domino that will needlessly start the fatal, global, economic chain reaction.

The horror of all this is that it is needless. It’s been weeks since Paul Ryan, R-WI, introduced a plan that would have gone a long way towards positively solving a number of our budgetary problems. However, it was summarily rejected by the spineless parasites in the Senate.

The simple truth is, this rejection was an act that consequences so obvious that even the intellectually challenged (who seem to make up the majority of the Senate) could not have missed them. Thus, the current debacle and its inevitable negative result, must have been the outcome they desired.

We, the People, appear to be caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place. We apparently cannot stop our so-called representatives from wrecking the economy and the nation. And given the rampant voter fraud and the refusal of the government to acknowledge it, much less do anything about it, I have serious doubts that a neo-fascist takeover is not inevitable in 2012.

America no longer operates with the consent of the governed. Welcome to the Third World. Unprecedented.”

“It’s illegal to yell fire in a crowded theater when there is no fire. It’s called reckless endangerment. It should also be illegal to yell “default” during the current debate about the debt ceiling.

America will not default on its debt. No way. No how. The Treasury secretary must pay the interest on U.S. debt. It’s his number one job. And, he has more than enough revenue to do it — even if the debt ceiling is never raised again in our lifetimes.

Rather than a danger to the economy or to investors, the debt ceiling is the one thing that is forcing a debate on the size and scope of government. When government can use other people’s money to buy votes, the only thing that can stop it is a limit on spending. And if the United States Senate will not pass Cut, Cap and Balance, then the House of Representatives is perfectly justified in using the debt ceiling to force spending cuts.

Just looking at the government’s actions over the past few years, it appears that a strategy of “gorge the beast” is being employed. What’s that, you ask? Well, it’s “spend and borrow so much that the U.S. is forced to raise tax rates to pay for its swollen size.”

What most people don’t realize is that the U.S. has gorged so much (boosting spending from roughly 18% of GDP in 2000 to 24% of GDP today), that the only way to pay for it is to tax the middle class. The president keeps blaming “millionaires and billionaires,” but the top 25% of income earners already pay 86% of total taxes. And even if we raised the 35% top tax rate to 100% (meaning we confiscate all income in that top tax bracket), the U.S. would only collect about $365 billion. This would run the government for only about five weeks and would not solve our debt issues.

The money is in the middle. And the only way our politicians can get it is to follow Europe’s lead and institute a national sales tax or Value-Added Tax (VAT). This is the elephant in the room that is never talked about. Those who are using the debt ceiling in an attempt to cut spending are actually saving the middle class from tax hikes — not the millionaires and billionaires.

Fear and politics are joined at the hip, because fear motivates. And politicians at all levels have used the economy to generate fear for a long time. But, since the Great Depression they have turned it into an art form. Using Keynesian theory, they have convinced many that government spending actually helps the economy. But if this were true — if it were that easy — there would not be one poor person in the entire world, Greece would not be bankrupt and Europe would be wealthier than the U.S.

The truth is that the bigger the government (as a share of GDP), the fewer jobs the economy creates. This is why every country in the history of the world that has tried to spend its way to prosperity or some kind of third-way, economic nirvana, has gone bankrupt or been forced by markets to massively cut back the size of government.

The Tea Party (which so many mainstream politicians love to hate) is trying to force the U.S. to change before it’s too late — before the U.S. hits the financial wall. They appear to be American patriots in the true sense of the word. They are saying: “No more kicking the can down the road.”

Late to the debate are the ratings agencies. They stayed mum when spending was going through the roof but now are threatening to lower the U.S.’s AAA bond rating. In other words, they don’t like having a debate over the size and scope of government spending. Their actions and words suggest that they like the status quo. Moody’s even said it thought the U.S. should get rid of the debt ceiling altogether.

But this would be crazy. Sure, it’s possible to turn the ship of state around without it, but the debt ceiling itself is the only thing forcing adult behavior at the current juncture. If this debate shrinks the size of government, more people will find jobs, the economy will perform better and the stock market will rise.

The bottom line is that the U.S. is nowhere near default. In fact, it can still borrow for 10 years at 3% or less. So, ignore the fire alarms and rejoice that the debt ceiling exists. The U.S. is not going to default and the end-of-the-world arguments are simply an attempt to force a compromise that does not truly fix the financial problems the U.S. has created with its past bad behavior.

Our Founders believed that a president had to be someone who, by nature, would be faithful to America’s Constitution and founding principles. One who could be trusted to think and act like an American, one who would guide our nation from an American mindset, one who had a deep rooted personal connection with the nation’s founding principles.

We now find ourselves in exactly the situation our Founders anticipated and tried to prevent when they wrote into the Constitution, “No Person except a natural born Citizen…shall be eligible to the Office of President…and been fourteen years a Resident within the United States.”

They believed that only people who learned to value the cultural and educational benefits of knowing what it is to be an American deep down in the marrow of their bones and in the fiber of their being, could be entrusted with the leadership of this great country.

They realized that being President of the United States requires far more than just meeting the technical requirements of a long form birth certificate. There is a spiritual aspect to loving and respecting this great nation and its people that can only be imparted by having been born here, by having lived here for a lengthy period, and by mixing and socializing during that time with true Americans. Rev. Jerimiah Wright and William Ayers hardly qualify.

The Founders carried within them the spirit of the Mayflower Compact which stated that the original settlers came to the shores of the United States of America for the, “Glory of God, and the Advancement of the Christian faith.”So it is no surprise that the basis of our laws and instruments of government is the Christian faith.

James Wilson would strongly agree with that statement of intent by the nation’s founders. His assessment of the Christian principles upon which our nation is founded is clear, “This law … made for men or for nations, flows from the same Divine source: it is the Law of God.” Wilson was a drafter of the Constitution and a signer of both it and The Declaration of Independence, and he became one of the original Supreme Court Justices.

Conversely, Omar Ahmad, founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said, “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith (or laws), but to become dominant…the only accepted religion (law) on earth.”

In short, Muslims do not, in the slightest, believe in or practice any form of religious freedom and can never submit themselves to our Judeo-Christian based laws and Constitution.

Muslims can technically work within the framework of our Constitutional law, but in their hearts and spirits only Sharia (Islamic) law is valid and binding. From birth Muslims—radicals and moderates alike—are taught to disrespect other religions. Murder, beheadings and suicide bombings in the name of Islam are encouraged, justified and admired. That is why there has failed to be a general outcry and protest by Muslims or condemnation of the evil cruelties radical Muslim terrorists and governments are even now perpetrating upon the innocent.

The result is that Islam is invading and impacting every facet of our society and culture, from the neighborhood elementary school to Capitol Hill and the White House.

The Islamic agenda is being overly protected and advanced by sincerely misguided Americans—and Muslim sympathizers—who are using their positions of power to cause political correctness to run amuck. 



It is understandable that anyone with President Obama’s upbringing could be personally conflicted tying to resolve the clash of civilizations that tears at the fabric and soul of America.

You would think that half of him would be sympathetic to the nation’s Christian foundation and principles, while the other half might be more favorable toward Islam.  



Because of fear of offending those Muslims who are not offended by beheadings and terrorists flying jetliners into World Trade Center buildings, our President, politicians and bureaucrats refuse to truthfully define to the American people what the Omar Ahmads and the magnitude of the Islamic problem is really about.

They forget that it isn’t possible to deal with a cancer until it is diagnosed as cancer. 



Some reading these words may feel that I am Islamophobic, and Muslims reading them may well be offended. My whole life has been lived as that of a warrior, one who has served in the military and put his life on the line to protect this great nation, its people, its way of life, and its magnificent freedoms.

So, forgive me as I paraphrase and adopt what Patrick Henry said concerning the 13 Colonies resisting the tyranny of King George III—“If this gives offense, let us make the most of it.”

“Is the US government starting to implement the policies of the United Nation’s plan for global management of people and resources known as Agenda 21?  The latest efforts out of the Department of Transportation (DOT) seem to indicate this is happening. And they are starting by targeting America’s farming communities with costly and oppressive regulations.

In Late May, the DOT proposed a rule change for farm equipment, and if it this allowed to take effect, it will place significant regulatory pressure on small farms and family farms all across America – costing them thousands of dollars and possibly forcing many of them out of business. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), part of the Department of Transportation (DOT), wants new standards that would require all farmers and everyone on the farm to obtain a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) in order to operate any farming equipment. The agency is going to accomplish this by reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs).

(It is also important to note here that DOT Secretary Ray LaHood holds a seat on the newly created White House Rural Council. A powerful group whose members have ties to George Soros and The Center For American Progress.)

The move by the DOT appears to be “legislation through regulation.” By reclassifying all farm vehicles and implements as Commercial Vehicles, the federal government will now be able to claim regulatory control over the estimated 800,000 farm workers in America, at the same time, overriding the rights of the states.

This proposed change literally means family farms could no longer legally allow young workers, not old enough to drive and seniors who no longer drive on the public streets, to operate a tractor… even on the family’s private property.

The proposed change also means ANYONE driving a tractor or operating any piece of motorized farming equipment would be forced to pass the same rigorous tests and fill out the same detailed forms and diaries required of semi-tractor trailer drivers. This reclassification would bury small farms and family farms in regulation and paperwork.

Some of the additional paperwork and regulation required:

• Detailed logs would need to be kept by all drivers – hours worked, miles traveled, etc.
• Vehicles would have to display DOT numbers
• Drivers would need to pass a physical as well as a drug test – every two years.

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation (WFBF) is one of many farm organizations not happy about the idea and has sent the DOT a letter expressing this opinion:

“WFBF opposes any change in statue or regulatory authority that would reclassify implements of husbandry or other farm equipment as Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs)”

WFBF Director of Governmental Relations Karen Gefvert continues, explaining the excessive cost to farmers if this allowed to move forward:

“The proposed guidance by the FMCSA would result in an initial increased cost to each Wisconsin farmer and employee of $124 just for the CDL license, permit and test; not to mention the time and cost for the behind-the-wheel training that is several thousand dollars.”

Additionally, Illinois farmers believe this regulation will also force new restrictions on trucks used in crop-share hauling. (One estimate claims more than 30% of Illinois farmers utilize shared land.) These crop-share trucks are typically limited-use vehicles that often travel fewer than 3000 miles each year, mainly hauling crops from the fields to nearby grain elevators. To require them to follow the same rules as semis would also mean a farmer would be forced to purchase substantial insurance.

The Hancock Journal-Pilot covered the story:

Earlier this year, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) began to define crop-share tenant farmers as“for-hire“ carriers and implements of husbandry as ”commercial motor vehicles.“

The ”for-hire” designation for crop-share tenant farmers would have a dramatic effect on farmers because it voids exemptions from the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program and would require a minimum of $750,000 in insurance coverage for the farmer.

The DOT is holding hearings for public comment on the topic, but only through Monday, August 1^st and farmers all across the country are rightfully concerned. No matter what the feedback is from the people who actually grow the food, it appears that the DOT’s mind is made up.

Just last week, DOT Administrator Anna Ferro posted an Op-Ed addressing the controversial regulation. The opinion piece closes with this statement:

“Everyone in this Administration – from President Obama, Vice President Biden, and Secretary LaHood on down – is committed to the long-term success of America’s agricultural industry. In many ways, agriculture is the backbone of our economy – feeding hundreds of millions of Americans and billions more around the world. As the largest user of freight transportation in the nation, the agricultural industry is also one of USDOT’s most important constituents. We hope that this comment period is the start of a new and productive relationship. We may not ultimately agree on every issue, but we will always listen — and do our best to help America’s farmers succeed.”

(A personal aside, when someone tells you, “We may not ultimately agree on every issue, but we will always listen… ” it has always been my experience that they are going to do whatever they wanted to do in the first place. The “listening” was just to make you feel better.)

The FMCSA has said their intent is to create uniformity in how federal safety regulations are carried out across America. The farming community and many of the states that would be affected by this change feel differently. Almost to a man, the farming community believes this to be a local issue, best handled by state governments, and not some Washington DC agency.

“The whole world is in mourning over the horrible terrorist bombing and mass shooting in Norway that left 76 dead and 96 wounded.  One Anders Behring Breivik, 32, confessed to the atrocities, and is completely unrepentant.  But of course, the Leftmedia are using this as an excuse to attack Christianity and conservatism—again—and paper over the secular leftist policies that were really responsible.

Denial of evil:

Norway has gone much further down the path of secular leftism than we have.  But not to worry: King Barack is trying to remedy that, aided by the “useful idiots” of the Churchian Left like communist supporting Rev. Jim Wallace. 

Chuck Colson has pointed out one very dire problem: a refusal to acknowledge evil.  Instead, he discovered, a warden of a Norwegian prison claimed, “anyone who commits a violent crime is obviously mentally unbalanced.”  So instead of treating a crime as a wrong, deserving punishment, it’s now a sickness needing a cure. 

Colson relates the following:

“During that visit I preached the Gospel to the prisoners. They were completely numb to the message. But as I was leaving, a young correctional officer, a Christian, came up to me. She said she had prayed for someone to confront the prisoners with the message of sin and salvation. She was frustrated by the corrections system in Norway, where there was no concept of personal responsibility, and therefore no reason for prisoners to seek personal transformation.

Only days later, I learned the tragic news: The young officer I had met was assigned to escort an inmate out to see a movie as part of his therapy. On the way back to prison, he murdered her.

The point is this: when we attempt to explain away moral evil, we will fail to constrain it. We cannot account for human behavior without recognizing that we are fallen creatures prone to sin.”

Also, the maximum sentence any criminal in Norway can receive is 21 years.  So this thug could be on the streets in 2032, when he will still likely be healthy.

Of course, this is exactly the same leftist soft-on-crime nonsense that led to a skyrocketing crime rate in this country in the 1960s.  Hardly surprising: when criminals have less to fear in punishment, they are less likely to restrain themselves.  See the previous Patriot column How the Left has always exploited “crisis”.

Gun control:

A recent Patriot column Legal Guns Would Make Norway Safer points out exactly what American Patriots have known since our founding:

Outlawing guns means that only the outlaws are left with guns. If only one of Breivik’s 68 shooting victims had carried a gun, the tragedy would have been avoided.  Similarly, the Virginia Tech massacre in 2007 occurred in a “gun-free zone”, while a murder spree in New Life Church in Colorado Springs was stopped when armed heroine Jeanne Assam shot the thug.   Gun control might well be the most costly leftist policy of all, in terms of lives directly lost because of them.

"Christian Fundamentalist" smear:

The Leftmedia have just jumped on this tragedy to bash Christians.  We shouldn’t be surprised, since they also blamed conservatives for the Tucson shooter, Jared Loughner, also called a “pro-life fanatic”.  Yet the facts came out:

He turned out to be a leftist who shocked classmates by laughing about an aborted baby.  Same with Timothy McVeigh, labelled a “Christian terrorist”, although he went to his death an agnostic claiming “I am the captain of my soul.”  Much earlier, after the JFK assassination, the leftist Dan Rather, of “faked but accurate” infamy, painted Dallas as a city of right-wing hate.  Shame for the left that Lee Harvey Oswald was a committed Communist!

Now the Leftmedia broadcast all around the world that this Breivik vermin was a Christian fundamentalist.  Theslightest amount of research would have found out that he liked the anti-Christian 19^th-century philosopher John Stuart Mill, loved the leftist show Dexter that portrays a serial killer favorably, but didn’t list the Bible among his reading material, most unusual for a “fundamentalist”.  Nor would one revere Darwin and say:

“As for the Church and science, it is essential that science takes an undisputed precedence over biblical teachings. Europe has always been the cradle of science, and it must always continue to be that way. Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I’m not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic.”

So it seems that he was nothing more than a “cultural Christian”—also a self-description of fanatical (but non-violent) atheist Richard Dawkins.

But then contrast this with the way the Leftmedia urged the public not to “jump to conclusions” about the religion of Maj. Nidal Hasan, who gunned 13 people to death, many refusing to mention this.  

The small matter of shouting “Allahu Akbar!” and defending Muslim suicide bombings didn’t seem to clue them in. But they just loved to “jump to conclusions” about Breivik’s alleged Christian fundamentalism.

But this typical of the hypocrisy of the Left in general (see The Hypocrisy of Hypocrisy Charges) and about Islam in particular.

Did ideology cause the murders?

While we are on the topic of leftist double standards about Islam, it’s worth discussing when a religion of ideology is responsible for murders.  As pointed out in Of mosque-building and Quran-burning: An exposure of leftist hypocrisy, those who commit violence in the name of Islam are acting consistently with its teachings.  They are also widely supported in the Islamic world. Ben Shapiro, author of Primetime Propaganda, writes in When Is an Ideology Responsible for Murder?:

“As polls show, huge swaths of Muslims endorse anti-Western violence, and the more religious they are, the more they endorse such violence. “Even as it finds itself embroiled in a scandal that saw weapons being deliberately sent to criminal gangs in Mexico, the ATF has issued a letter ordering firearms dealers in border states to report sales of two or more semi-automatic rifles, and is following it up by harassing gun owners with intimidating home visits as well as threatening gun dealers to spy on their customers.

As the Justice Department announced earlier this month, “All gun shops in four Southwest border states (Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico) will be required to alert the federal government to frequent buyers of high-powered rifles.”

The ATF letter also orders gun dealers to report to the feds sales of “two or more pistols or revolvers, or any combination of pistols or revolvers totaling two or more.”

The letter, which was subsequently sent out to gun dealers and has since entered the public domain, orders firearms retailers to “Submit to ATF reports of multiple sales or other dispositions whenever, at one time or during any five consecutive business days, you sell to an unlicensed person or otherwise dispose of two or more semi-automatic rifles capable of accepting a detachable magazine and with a caliber greater than .22 (including .223/5.56 caliber).” The directive takes effect from August 14, 2011.

However, what the federal agency isn’t keen to make public is how its agents are using these reports to make threatening home visits to firearms owners, while ordering gun store owners to become de facto informants by telling them to spy on their customers.

According to several gun dealers in Austin as well as one of our own staff members, the ATF is visiting people’s homes, demanding to be allowed inside without a warrant, and implying that gun owners could be terrorists for purchasing two or more firearms at a time.

Illustrating how lawless this is, a central Texas gun dealer who provided Alex Jones with the ATF letter, contacted Daniel Jones, the head of the ATF in Austin two weeks before receiving the letter to ask about news reports that President Obama was going to order the investigation of citizens that bought two or more rifles. Agent Jones told him “no that law is not going to pass, and we can’t enforce something that isn’t law so don’t worry about it.” Of course, the law didn’t pass but the ATF later enforced it anyway.

This is all based on a directive from the federal government that is completely outside of the law and unconstitutional. The law that would have required gun dealers in border states to report sales of two or more semi-automatic rifles to the ATF was “stripped entirely from the text of the regulation” when it came up for a vote in Congress on April 15, but as part of the Obama administration’s dictatorial zeal to accomplish its agenda outside of the law, the program is going ahead anyway.

The federal government is enforcing a law that was never passed.

Americans who purchase guns are already forced to undergo checks against the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System to prove they are not a criminal. The ATF’s new unconstitutional directive only adds an extra layer of bureaucracy, putting a further squeeze on second amendment rights while creating a logistical nightmare for firearms retailers.

The letter orders retailers to report each sale of two or more weapons before the end of the same business day, requiring them to fill in a form for each sale that takes over 10 minutes to complete. This extra burden will create hundreds of extra necessary man hours for every gun store per year, and could even put the smaller ones out of business.

The ATF’s intimidation campaign directed against firearms dealers and gun owners is all unfolding while the organization simultaneously comes under scrutiny for the infamous Operation Fast and Furious, a BATF program that. “Sanctioned the purchase of weapons in U.S. gun shops and tracked the smuggling route to the Mexican border. Reportedly, more than 2,500 firearms were sold to straw buyers who then handed off the weapons to gunrunners under the nose of ATF.” Some of the weapons were later used to kill US Border Patrol agents like Brian Terry.

After being caught sending weapons to Mexican criminals that were used to kill U.S. Border Patrol agents, police and citizens, the ATF is now treating American citizens like criminals simply for exercising their second amendment rights, all under the guise of a regulation that was rejected by Congress and never became law.

The Obama administration and the ATF claim that the Fast and Furious program was part of a sting operation to catch leading Mexican drug runners, and yet it’s admitted that the government stopped tracking the firearms as soon as they reached the border, defeating the entire object of the mission, unless the mission was about pushing through gun control in the US and had nothing to do with the drug war.

As the evidence clearly indicates, Operation Fast and Furious was likely a plot on behalf of the administration to discredit the second amendment. While the feds were selling guns to Mexican drug gangs, Obama was simultaneously blaming drug violence on the flow of guns from border states to Mexico.

The ATF’s efforts to intimidate both gun sellers and purchasers also arrives months after President Obama told gun control advocate Sarah Brady that his administration was working “under the radar” to sneak attack the second amendment.

During a March 30 meeting between Jim and Sarah Brady and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, at which Obama “dropped in,” the president reportedly told Brady, “I just want you to know that we are working on it (gun control)….We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

The quote appeared in an April 11 Washington Post story about Obama’s gun control czar Steve Croley.

“Fast & Furious” Hearings Raise More Questions Than Answers!

“The more information that comes out about the reckless “Fast and Furious” gun running operation conducted by the Phoenix BATFE office, the more clear it seems that knowledge of the operation, and approval for it, went a lot higher than the Phoenix field office, or even the BATFE.

There is now clear evidence, uncovered by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee headed by Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) that senior Obama Administration officials were aware of this disastrous operation.

Last Tuesday, Rep. Issa conducted another round of hearings. Among those who testified were William Newell and William McMahon, BATFE Special Agents who oversaw the program in Phoenix. Those hearings revealed that senior Dept. of Justice officials, including former Deputy Attorney General David Ogden and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer, knew about the program.

Additionally, other federal agencies were identified as having been made aware of the operation, including the IRS, DEA and ICE.

The Committee also heard testimony from four BATFE agents stationed in Mexico during the time “Fast and Furious”was in operation.  All testified they knew nothing of this scheme, in spite of promises from Obama Administration officials, and Obama himself to share all relevant information with Mexican authorities engaged in the fight against the drug cartels.

When asked about the operation, these BATFE agents described it as absurd and ill-conceived, and declared that it was not consistent with established BATFE procedures or methods.

One of the biggest bombshells to come out of the hearing was the revelation that Agent Newell had sent an e-mail, under the subject line “You did not hear this from me,” to Kevin O’Reilly, the National Security Director for North America. That e-mail, dated Sept. 2010, included information about “Fast and Furious.”

After repeated questioning, Newell admitted he had spoken to O’Reilly about the operation.

This revelation, that a senior White House official knew about the program, combined with the senior DOJ officials listed above, casts serious doubts on claims by Attorney General Holder and even President Obama that they knew nothing about “Fast and Furious.”

As more is learned about the “Fast and Furious” operation, two serious questions come to the forefront:

Did BATFE abandon standard procedures and methods in this project in order to achieve the political goal of making U.S. gun laws the issue in the war against the Mexican drug cartels? 

And if so, was it the BATFE that proposed and advanced the scheme, or was it senior political appointees in the Obama administration who wanted to “prove” that it is American gun freedoms that are “causing” the violence in Mexico?

“On Thursday, Ken Langone, the former director of the New York Stock Exchange and the co-founder of Home Depot, joined former colleague Bernie Marcus in criticizing President Barack Obama’s job performance. In an interview with CNBC, the successful businessman has some tough words — and warnings — for the nation’s top executive. Watch it, below:

Aside from calling the commander-in-chief “unpresidential” and “petulant,” he accused the president of purposefully pitting Americans against one another during the nation’s ongoing debt debate. In the interview, the successful businessman said:

“He’s not bringing us together. He’s willfully dividing us. He’s petulant. Ronald Reagan would never go into the Oval Office without his jacket on — that’s how much he revered the presidency…

Divide us and we all lose. And this has got to stop. And if [Obama’s] listening, or one of his people are listening, and you can quote me exactly for what I say, he is not acting presidential, he is behaving in a way designed, in my opinion, to divide us and make us look at each other with skepticism, with suspicion.

That’s the end of America as we know it when that happens.”

Langone takes specific issue with the president’s “us versus them” mentality. He continues:

“This guy [Obama] worked like hell to be president . . . Behave like a president. Let me look at you as a model to how we should behave. What does he say? Fat cats, jet airplanes. What is the purpose? Us versus them.”

Although Langone didn‘t hold much back in his critique of the president’s debt debate handling, his opposition has little to do with a refusal to accept paying higher taxes. He explained that he does not oppose an elevated tax rate on the wealthiest Americans. Additionally, he says he is open to means-testing Social Security (i.e. reducing benefits to wealthier individuals who may not need or rely upon them), so long as the funds saved are put toward paying down the federal debt. Langone explains:

“People like me have to understand that it isn’t business as usual. I should not get Social Security. I think it’s a travesty for a man of my success and of my means to get anything from the federal government. I think I should pay more taxes . . . but everything they take from me should go to reduce the debt.”

Interestingly, Longone, a wealthy American who may be forced to pay more taxes while receiving fewer Social Security benefits, is more than open to proposed changes — so long as the funds saved or raised help solve America’s debt crisis.

Like many others, he also sounded the debt-ceiling alarm during the interview, warning of the potential ramifications of continuing to spend beyond the nation’s means:

“We need to understand as a nation that you can’t forever expect somebody out there, whether it’s China or somebody in England, to say I will always take America’s debt no matter what.

We are heading into a dose of reality we’ve never seen before . . . Look at the number of states now laying people off because they can’t print paper [money].”

Despite his warning and his negative opinions regarding Obama’s behavior and handling of the debt situation, Langone says he is confident that the federal government will come to a solution before the August 2 deadline.
