The aftermath of January 6th must be understood in tandem with the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the federal vaccine mandates. Together, they formed the operational center of a three-tiered purge aimed at the heart of the American national security workforce.

Revolutions require crisis. They cannot sustain themselves solely on theory. A strategic choice must be made about where that crisis will be centered. If the battlefield is domestic, foreign crises must be controlled or terminated quickly. From this perspective, the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan takes on an additional dimension. Clearing the deck internationally created space for the domestic crisis narrative around January 6 to dominate. It is plausible that the decision to accept a disastrous withdrawal was seen as an acceptable cost if it allowed the administration and its ideological allies to focus fully on remaking the internal machinery of the state.

Barely a week after Afghanistan fell, vaccine mandates were announced for the entire federal workforce. From the first moment, it was clear to many inside the system that this was not primarily about public health. It was about obedience, identification, and removal. Those who refused to comply were disproportionately religious, constitutionally minded, conservative in outlook, or simply unwilling to submit to coerced medical intervention. In other words, they were the precise cohort that revolutionary ideologues view as an obstacle.

What followed across the federal government was a coordinated pattern. Agencies created religious accommodation processes that were adversarial by design. Internal systems were engineered to route almost every request toward denial. In some cases, the process itself kept changing to trap employees into non-compliance that could be framed as insubordination. Compliance numbers were falsified. Lists of non-compliant personnel were compiled. Unvaccinated officers were labeled as insider threats, a term previously used for spies, saboteurs, or those posing physical security risks. In some cases, armed officers were informed that their firearms could be taken or their positions altered based on their refusal.

Crude calculations made inside multiple agencies suggested that the administration was prepared to terminate a staggering proportion of the national security workforce. While public reporting put the number of separated service members in the thousands, internal estimates and anecdotal evidence suggest the actual impact may have been orders of magnitude greater, including forced retirements, coerced resignations, career-destroying notations, and informal blacklists. The intent appears to have been nothing less than the ideological purification of the federal apparatus under the cover of a health emergency.

The Central Intelligence Agency was not immune to this process. Within the CIA, the enforcement of mandates and the surrounding machinery of compliance bore the hallmarks of DEI-aligned activism rather than neutral personnel management. Officers who sought religious accommodations often did so at high personal and professional cost. Many are still living with the consequences of stalled careers, hostile evaluations, and the lingering suspicion that their names remain flagged in unseen databases. Internal investigations by networks of concerned officers uncovered documentation that suggested these non-compliance lists were being shared or prepared for sharing with the Pre-Trial Services Agency, which, by its own description, exists to support the federal courts in managing newly arrested defendants.

If vaccine noncompliance were being linked conceptually to January 6-related offenses, a dangerous precedent would have been established. A government was effectively considering religious objection or medical autonomy a political crime. This is characteristic of regimes that have moved from disagreement to criminalization, not of constitutional republics.

The mandates also degraded mission capability. Units responsible for covert action, high-risk operational training, and sensitive overseas work saw their personnel threatened with termination or sidelining. In some cases, the only way to preserve operational readiness was for entire cadres of officers to falsify their records to remain on paper compliant. This compounded the moral injury. Officers were forced to choose between betraying their conscience and lying to preserve the mission. Both choices inflicted damage.

As this purge machinery ground forward, the war in Ukraine erupted. For years, Ukraine had served as a corridor for corruption, influence, and financial gamesmanship—the sudden reality of a large-scale conventional war altered priorities. Dark money projects and ideological crusades found themselves competing with battlefield realities, international pressure, and a complex escalation environment. It is reasonable to conclude that the invasion of Ukraine disrupted the internal purge timetable. The administration could no longer sustain the same level of focus on domestic ideological enforcement while managing a major foreign crisis in a theater saturated with intelligence and military equities.

Parallel to this, the DEI apparatus that had spearheaded much of the internal revolution began to show signs of fatigue and failure. The most revealing moment came in the summer of 2024 inside the CIA. At a meeting of Resource Groups, the senior psychologist tasked with leading DEI initiatives effectively held a referendum on the entire project. According to officers present, she launched into a furious, emotionally charged acknowledgment that DEI had failed to achieve its goals.

There was another consequence of the mandate era and the broader ideological struggle. For the first time in American history, employees from nearly every sector of the executive branch filed legal actions against their own government in large numbers. The courts were flooded with cases that pitted citizens and career civil servants against the agencies they served. This produced precisely the kind of overload that foreign adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party have long sought to engineer. Their information campaigns and influence operations have openly aimed at overburdening American institutions. Here, ironically, the executive branch itself became the primary source of the overload on the judiciary.

In strategic terms, the damage inflicted upon the United States over these years is severe, but not fatal. The revolution failed to consolidate. The purge was not fully completed. The DEI movement inside key institutions cracked under its own contradictions. Ordinary Americans resisted. A remnant inside the federal workforce refused to bow. Courts, despite all the pressure, blocked some of the most extreme measures. Reality asserted itself against ideology.

The question now is what must be done. The path forward requires more than outrage. It involves policy and structure.

First, the architecture of the modern welfare state, which has turned large segments of the population into political clients, must be dismantled. Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society and its subsequent expansions helped create a permanent dependency machine that can be weaponized for revolutionary ends. Rolling back these structures will not be easy, but it is essential if Americans are to recover a culture of responsibility, family formation, and self-government.

Second, the country must deliberately cultivate the nuclear family, childbearing, and stable communities. This is not sentimental nostalgia. It is a matter of national survival. A society that abandons marriage, parenthood, and property stewardship will not endure. Incentives, policies, and cultural signals must all point toward building households capable of raising the next generation with a sense of identity and duty.

Third, American education must be reclaimed from red-washed narratives. Civics, honest history, and a clear account of the crimes of Marxist regimes must be restored. Children and young adults must understand both the promise and the fragility of ordered liberty. If they do not know what distinguishes this Republic from totalitarian systems, they will not recognize the danger until it is too late.

Fourth, the intelligence community must be reformed so that it returns to its proper mission of defending the nation against foreign threats rather than serving as an instrument of domestic social engineering. This means rooting out politicized structures, prohibiting the use of intelligence tools against the domestic political opposition except in the narrowest and most clearly justified circumstances, and rebuilding a culture of professional, apolitical service.

Fifth, society must recover a sense of moral coherence. A nation cannot survive long when it denies reality in matters as fundamental as truth, sex, responsibility, and the value of human life. While America is home to many faith traditions, there must be a shared recognition that there are objective standards that cannot simply be rewritten by fashion or decree. Without this, the law becomes only an instrument of power.

Finally, there must be a national effort to educate the public about the patterns, methods, and vocabulary of Marxist and neo-Marxist movements. This does not require witch hunts. It requires clarity. Once citizens understand how these systems operate, they are far harder to manipulate; the mask slips. The slogans no longer suffice, and the glamour of the revolution fades.

There remains, inside this country and inside its battered institutions, a remnant of men and women who never surrendered. They stayed at their posts. They told the truth, quietly or openly, when it was dangerous to do so. They refused to consent to lies. They suffered for it. Careers were derailed. Retirements were accelerated. Friendships were broken. Some were imprisoned. Many were slandered, but they are still here.

Like the Founders before them, they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, not in the abstract but in the daily grind of saying no to a machine that demanded their submission. The cost has been high. Yet the Republic still stands. That is not an accident. It is the fruit of Providence and the courage of ordinary people acting in extraordinary times.

For the God of our fathers. For the country we inherited. For the Republic that must not fall. The struggle is not over. But neither is the story of America.

The Left is appalled by the airstrikes against narco-terrorists in the Caribbean. Democrats are mulling impeachment proceedings against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. The memory-holing regarding this operation is amazing. It’s truly a sight to behold because no one said anything when Barack Obama executed 500 drone strikes, which killed civilians. Americans were also killed. Americans were on Obama’s kill list, also known as the ‘Disposition Matrix.’ So, please, spare us these lectures about the legality of the strikes.  

Operation Southern Spear is again awash with controversy, after reports of a narco boat being bombed twice were reported. The second strike took out a bunch of terrorists who survived the first strike. No, they weren’t clinging to wreckage. They were trying to get back onto what was left of the ship and signal for assistance. We’re eliminating terror threats. The media tried to smear Hegseth as a war criminal. He is not, with these strikes vetted by civilian and military lawyers. Yet, there's another angle to this, one that liberals might not understand since they're so engulfed in Trump derangement. An attorney, formerly a Trump naval lawyer, explained it to RC Maxwell at our sister site Redstate, where he delivered the kill shot to the Left’s argument that these strikes are akin to war crimes: 

‘As Democrats escalate their attacks in the wake of Capitol Hill briefings by U.S. Special Operations Command commander Admiral Frank M. Bradley, prominent military defense attorney and former Trump Navy lawyer Tim Parlatore told RedState that politicians are deliberately mischaracterizing lawful combat actions. In an exclusive interview, Parlatore laid out the legal distinction at the heart of the controversy...

“You have a boat full of cocaine and terrorists heading to this country to poison and kill Americans. That’s a legitimate target.” Parlatore said. “You then do battle damage assessment. The boat and the cargo remain legitimate military targets that SOUTHCOM has been ordered to put on the bottom of the ocean.” Parlatore referred to the death of drug traffickers resulting from the second strike as “collateral damage.” The comments contrast statements made on Wednesday by top Democrats immediately after viewing classified drone footage. Democrat Rep. Jim Himes (CT-4) called the video “one of the most troubling things I’ve seen in my time in public service.”

When speaking with RedState, Parlatore drew a direct historical parallel to drive the point home, citing one of the most celebrated moments in U.S. Navy history: 

“Take the Battle of Midway. One of the Japanese carriers we blew up was burning, dead in the water, no longer able to fight or launch aircraft, and it was full of wounded Japanese sailors. You know what we did? We kept throwing torpedoes into it until it went to the bottom of the ocean. And that was lawful. The goal was to put the ship down so it couldn’t be towed back, repaired, and put back into the fight. The goal was not to kill all the wounded Japanese sailors on board.”

“The example, Parlatore argued, shows that sinking a disabled enemy vessel, even one carrying wounded personnel, has been standard naval practice for generations and remains fully consistent with the law of armed conflict at sea.”

And the operation continues—we blew up another narco boat this week amid the ‘boatgate’ circus manufactured by the media.

Biden’s old rhetoric called for “another D-Day” to win the war on drugs, not a timid, slow-motion effort destined for stalemate, and he argued the drug problem was “the number one threat to our national security.” That language meshes uncomfortably with today’s opponents of forceful action, who now seem eager to prevent methods they once demanded. If Democrats genuinely see cartels as a national threat, then denying tools to disrupt them abroad looks more like politics than principle.

A consistent national policy that treats cartels as the organized, violent threats they are will always be preferable to theater and finger-pointing.

At stake is whether the United States chooses deterrence and disruption or a softer approach that invites escalation of drug flows and narco-violence. Americans deserve leaders who will act decisively to protect families and neighborhoods without being paralyzed by partisan theatrics. The record shows tough measures can be justified and, if handled legally and transparently, are necessary to reclaim the streets from traffickers and save lives.

We make a sacred promise to the men and women who wear this nation’s uniform. It’s a promise that while they stand guard for us, we will stand guard for them. When they are deployed to the far corners of the world, we pray for their safety. But when they are stationed here, on our own soil, that safety should be an absolute guarantee. That promise was shattered in our nation’s capital just before Thanksgiving. The tragic, senseless ambush of two National Guard members was not the result of some distant war, but a failure right here at home. It was a brutal reminder that the most dangerous threats are often the ones welcomed with open arms by policies that put globalist fantasies ahead of the safety of actual Americans.

Now, finally, the Trump administration is taking decisive action to right this wrong and restore sanity to our immigration system.

“Reducing the maximum validity period for employment authorization will ensure that those seeking to work in the United States do not threaten public safety or promote harmful anti-American ideologies,” USCIS Director Joe Edlow said in a public statement. “After the attack on National Guard service members in our nation’s capital by an alien who was admitted into this country by the previous administration, it’s even more clear that USCIS must conduct frequent vetting of aliens.”

Trump Fights Back Against Abusive Immigration

And just like that, the adults are back in the room. In a move that puts American safety above all else, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced it is dramatically scaling back the validity of work permits for asylum seekers and other foreign nationals. Instead of the dangerously naive five-year timeframe that gave potential threats a long leash, permits will now be valid for only 18 months.

This isn’t just some bureaucratic paper-shuffling; it’s a fundamental restoration of vigilance. The policy ensures that every foreign national seeking to work here will be subject to more frequent and rigorous vetting. It’s called common sense. It’s a clear message from President Trump: the days of rubber-stamping applications and simply hoping for the best are over.

A Crisis Inherited From the Biden Years

This necessary policy shift was born from an unacceptable tragedy. The change comes directly in response to the horrific murder of West Virginia Army National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, who was allegedly shot and killed by Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national. Her fellow guardsman, Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, was left in critical condition.

The most infuriating part of this attack is that it was entirely preventable. Lakanwal was brought into the United States under the notoriously lax “Biden-era Operation Allies Welcome” program. This wasn’t an isolated incident. In the same week, two other Afghan nationals from the same program were arrested—one for making bomb threats in Texas and another for providing support to ISIS-K. This is the predictable, deadly fallout of the last administration’s incompetence—and it’s the mess President Trump is now tasked with cleaning up.

Securing the Homeland Is Not Negotiable

Giving a foreign national from a high-risk region a five-year work permit is like giving them a five-year hall pass to operate within our country with minimal oversight. It’s a reckless gamble with your family’s safety—a fact the open-borders crowd conveniently ignores. In a world of ever-changing threats and allegiances, allowing years to pass without re-evaluating an individual’s status is a dereliction of government’s most basic duty.

The new 18-month standard is a common-sense security measure. It forces the system to stay alert, ensuring that individuals who may have developed dangerous anti-American ideologies or connections do not remain undetected for years on end. This isn’t about punishing immigrants; it’s about protecting Americans.

That, right there, is leadership. It isn’t about virtue signaling or appeasing a radical lobby. It’s about taking the painful but necessary steps to secure the homeland and honor the promise we make to every soldier like Specialist Beckstrom. Under President Trump, “America First” is not just a slogan—it is a promise being kept.

President Donald Trump put forward a sweeping set of national security goals in which he vows to enforce the Monroe Doctrine while adding his own corollary aimed at expanding U.S. influence in the Western Hemisphere and countering adversaries’ growing footprint.

In the 33-page blueprint, the Trump administration asserts that a "reasonably stable" Western Hemisphere where governments work together to fight malign foreign influence is key to U.S. national security. To achieve this, the administration vows in the document to "assert and enforce a 'Trump Corollary' to the Monroe Doctrine."

Former President James Monroe issued the doctrine in his seventh annual address to Congress on Dec. 2, 1823, warning European powers against interfering in the Western Hemisphere through political influence or colonization. The U.S. Office of the Historian, part of the State Department, notes that although European nations initially paid little attention to Monroe’s declaration, it eventually became "a longstanding tenet of U.S. foreign policy."

"After years of neglect, the United States will reassert and enforce the Monroe Doctrine to restore American preeminence in the Western Hemisphere, and to protect our homeland and our access to key geographies throughout the region," the document reads. "This 'Trump Corollary' to the Monroe Doctrine is a common-sense and potent restoration of American power and priorities, consistent with American security interests."

US ESCALATION WITH MADURO HALTS DEPORTATION FLIGHTS TO VENEZUELA

The document describes the administration's goals in two words: "enlist and expand." It aims to "enlist established friends" in the region to help control migration, stop drug trafficking and strengthen security. At the same time, the administration is looking to expand by "cultivating and strengthening" new relationships while establishing the U.S. as the "economic and security partner of choice" in the Western Hemisphere.

As part of the "enlist" element of the strategy, the administration looks to work with regional partners who can help ensure stability and neutralize common threats even beyond their own borders. The document emphasizes the need to look for countries that have common interests with the U.S. and to "not overlook governments with different outlooks."

Additionally, the document asserts that the U.S. has to reconsider its military presence in the Western Hemisphere. This means readjusting American military presence to address threats in the Western Hemisphere in order to achieve the goals laid out in the blueprint. The readjustment would also impact the Coast Guard and Navy, as the document calls for "a more suitable" presence to allow U.S. personnel to control sea lanes, combat illegal migration and to reduce human and drug trafficking.

"The goal is for our partner nations to build up their domestic economies, while an economically stronger and more sophisticated Western Hemisphere becomes an increasingly attractive market for American commerce and investment," the document states.

The expansion element of the strategy would involve encouraging countries in the region to see the U.S. as its first-choice partner while also discouraging "collaboration" with other nations. As part of this, the document tasks the National Security Council with beginning a "robust interagency process" to identify strategic points and resources in the region with the aim of protecting them and establishing "joint development with regional partners."

The blueprint laments the inroads made by "non-hemispheric competitors" in the region, saying that they put the U.S. at a current economic disadvantage while presenting possible threats to America's future. It states that the terms of U.S. alliances and provisions for aid need to be "contingent on winding down adversarial outside influence."

"The United States must be preeminent in the Western Hemisphere as a condition of our security and prosperity — a condition that allows us to assert ourselves confidently where and when we need to in the region," the document reads.

While some nations in the Western Hemisphere have well-established ties with non-regional actors, the document frames these relationships as ones of convenience and affordability. It asserts that the U.S. has already started rolling back the influence of non-regional actors by demonstrating the "hidden costs" of partnering with them, such as espionage and cybersecurity threats. The blueprint uses this as a basis for a larger strategy for the U.S. to make clear to the world that American goods and services are better investments in the long run.

The expansion will also take work at home, with the document insisting on more collaboration between the U.S. government and the private sector. It calls on all embassies to be aware of business opportunities in their countries.

"The choice all countries should face is whether they want to live in an American-led world of sovereign countries and free economies or in a parallel one in which they are influenced by countries on the other side of the world," the document states.

The 33-page blueprint also outlines regional strategies for U.S. interactions with Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Additionally, it declares that "the era of mass migration is over," asserting that controlling the border is the "primary element" of U.S. national security.

One of my favorite Western reruns is "The Rifleman," starring the steely-jawed Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain.

In one episode, John Hamilton, president of North Fork's first bank, tried to talk a buzz of skeptical townsfolk into putting their lifesavings into the "absolute safety" of his bank.

The crowd didn't budge until Hamilton introduced his new security guard, former gunslinger Floyd Doniger, who awed the crowd by shooting plates in mid-air as fast as Hamilton's men tossed them up.

It worked. The townsfolk streamed into the bank with their lifesavings.

Doniger, now perched on a loft with a ready rifle, scanned the bank like a human security camera. After securing the people's trust, the new "security guard" was now in the perfect position to rob them blind.

The plan was simple. When accomplices stormed the bank, Doniger had one job: Do nothing.

Deluded by the theater of Doniger's grand lie, the bank's president was a pillar of calm when accomplices stormed the bank and stuffed their bags with the people's money. With an assured grin, Hamilton peered at Doniger's perch and signaled for him to shoot the bastards.

Doniger did nothing.

Paralyzed with shock, Hamilton realized that the man he used to win the people's trust was a cold, calculating bank robber.

That's what happened in Obama's third term (disguised as Biden years), after "one of the most secure elections in American history."

It was all a grand lie.

Dressed in fancy titles, people guaranteeing the "absolute safety" of our national treasures were actually political psychopaths planning all along to rob the country blind, to "fundamentally transform the United States of America."

The plan was simple. When accomplices allowed COVID mandates to destroy lives, millions to breach the border, crime to destroy cities, and race and gender to defy human nature, the "protectors" had one job: Do nothing.

It worked.

When violent mobs disguised as protesters toppled statues, robbed stores, destroyed property, and killed innocent people, leftist accomplices, disguised as elected officials, did nothing.

When snipers at Abbey Gate had terrorists in their sights and begged for permission to shoot the bastards, cowards disguised as military leaders answered with an order: "Do nothing." Thirteen U.S. servicepeople were killed.

When terrorists, disguised as "friendlies," poured into America unvetted, soldiers with battlefront experience were ignored.

At the time, former Army Captain Sean Parnell warned with a story about an Afghan, posing as an interpreter, who ended up plotting to kill Americans.

The interpreter worked with the platoon "in every fight" for over a year, while secretly coordinating with Iranians to plant a landmine on a route to kill his platoon.

"… [He] had been with us every step of the way," Parnell said in 2021, "… someone who we thought was our friend! … Just because an Afghan … is friends with us does not actually mean that they're safe to bring here. … And quite frankly, I can't believe we even have to have this conversation."

Too late.

When Biden's administration painted the botched Afghan evacuation as "an extraordinary success," his generals did nothing. The silence shocked Marine infantry officer LtCol Stuart Scheller into calling for accountability. He was jailed, court-martialed, and discharged.

COVID madness, disguised as a pandemic response, was actually the scheming of a global cabal exploiting extreme fear to trigger a "Great Reset" of the world. Dr. "Frankenstein" Fauci – a Trojan Horse for science – demonized repurposed drugs, downplayed natural immunity, and ignored the safety signals blaring against the experimental "vaccine."

When the COVID response damaged children, destroyed businesses, ended careers, and undermined science, Fauci – a crook disguised as a "security guard" for science – did nothing.

In that "Rifleman" episode, the corner turned after the truth became clear to Lucas McCain. McCain confronted Doniger, killed him in a shootout, and returned the money – a happy ending.

That's what we expected after it became clear that crimes were being committed, under color of law, by a web of scoundrels with fancy titles at the highest levels of government.

But, remarkably, America's Donigers are still on the loose and vowing to finish the job. Worse, because too many "townsfolk" are still deluded by the theater of grand lies, the mayhem not only continues, but the crooks are dropping their disguises:

Trump's nearly murdered.

Charlie Kirk murdered.

Hamas sympathizers activated, Oct. 8.

Islamists and their useful idiots (Marxists) infiltrate the Democrat Party.

An Islamist, posing as a socialist, elected mayor of New York.

Democrats team with violent mobs to assault ICE and border agents.

"Veterans" call for the military to disobey "unlawful orders."

An Islamist killed a National Guardswoman.

All to oppose Trump, who's not their real problem. We are.

Trump's elections were never about Trump. It's all about the national treasure, stupid – our values, national identity, and load-bearing institutions. We hired Trump because Obama, disguised as a patriot, put that treasure at grave risk. Remember?

It's now being robbed, in plain sight, by psychopaths with fancy titles "fighting, fighting, fighting" against the real protectors; protectors who're using extreme measures to address extreme problems, within the confines of politics.  

Yet, politics hasn't shut down the crazies. They've chosen to declare domestic war, instead, disguising it as politics. It's not. It's extremely dangerous.

With his reelection, Trump – the single most indispensable figure of our time – cracked open a window for genuine politics to work.

But even if it fails, and political sociopaths shut that window – with or without Trump – it will only force a nation of Lucas McCains, watching this stuff for years, to be activated. How? Who knows?

And this may be the grand deception: that these still-rugged, common-sense people – horribly burned in the "O'Biden" years – will always sit back and do nothing as thieves, pretending to "protect democracy," use strategic lies to rob America blind.

It won't happen. Why? Because it was these people who hired Trump in the first place – to do something!

And we're not going anywhere.
