The New York Times' Robert Pear got his pantaloons in a bunch on Christmas Eve over the seemingly endless adjustments by Obama of the Affordable Care Act.

Pear detailed the various adjustments and extensions in an article titled, "Sign-Up Period Extended Again for Health Plan."

His conclusion:

"...In its effort to help consumers and to avoid political damage to the president, the administration has announced a series of policy changes, delays, extensions and clarifications in recent months...Taken together, they amount to a sweeping exercise of executive power — what Prof. Jonathan Turley of George Washington University Law School describes as a “pattern of circumventing Congress in the creation of new major standards, exceptions or outright nullifications...”

This declaration so impressed the folks at Breitbart, mainly Wynton Hill, and reported as news, that the New York Times had made the statement, apparently, as if to say, "now even the Times is appalled at Obama's dictatorial over-reach."

He did quote a professor Turley from the George Washington University Law School, who said that the Obama administration "...has engaged in a "pattern of circumnavigating Congress in the creation of new major standards, exceptions or outright nullifications..."

Most "astute" people have known this for some time; that is, those that are aware and not afraid to voice their challenges to the President's series of Constitutional breaches. And yet now, it seems, some find a sort of confirmation in certain circles, as if the entire time, they had been holding their breath in hopes that their protests against Constitutional infractions might some day be affirmed and declared correct by an annointed Socialist Lackey in one of their "esteemed" propaganda rags.

Constitutionalists have been, for some time, writing about the President's circumvention of Congress, but have been quiet about the fact that he could only bypass the Constitution if he had first effected a quiet "coup d' etat," a "golpe de estado," a Presidential take-over of the nation, and had assumed his throne as dictator.

He, after all,  stated he would bypass via executive orders, and warned the nation he would do so, if Congress would not cooperate with his agenda.  This, after, he lied about ObamaCare, apparently to get re-elected.

Perhaps he can continue to do this, because the coup we are so quick to credit him with occurred long before he took office, and there have been, as it is becoming more and more apparent, since time immemorial, a series of federal government administrations, along with their accomplices in Congress,and in the Courts, who have, in succession, advanced the ruse that we live in a Constitutional Republic, when we evidently do not.

The question remains:  What are we going to do about it?

Duck Dynasty gave me an unexpected wonderful gift for Christmas; a renewed hope in America. Polling on various social issues confirm that liberals have made significant inroads towards secularizing America into a culture in which anything goes.

The norm on TV is disrespectful kids scolding their parents, cussing, youths sleeping around, the promotion of homosexuality and poking fun at Christians. Traditional principles and values are on the chopping block.

Several months ago, I heard about this cable show, Duck Dynasty, that was kicking American Idol's butt in the ratings on Wednesday nights. Since the recent controversy surrounding the show, I learned that Duck Dynasty is huge; the highest rated show in cable history.

So what does the show's popularity tell me? It tells me that instinctively people are drawn to things wholesome and good; traditional principles and values.

I watched a recently produced family Christmas movie. While it was somewhat enjoyable, a subtext of the movie was the female lead feeling hurt over the male lead's reluctance to ask her to move in with him. Note that marriage was not on her agenda.

Then, I watched my favorites, “It's A Wonderful Life”, “The Wiz of Oz”, “A Christmas Carol” and “The Sound of Music”. There is a reason that millions of people feel their Christmas season is not complete without viewing at least one of these classics. These old movies possess that sappy wholesome intangible something that makes us feel good, safe, warm and happy.

Neither the coarsening of our culture or liberal indoctrination have been able to destroy millions of Duck Dynasty viewer's instinctive attraction to wholesome tradition family values.

So thank you Duck Dynasty. Thank you for letting me know that the battle for the culture of America is not over. Perhaps, Phil Robertson's leadership will inspire more Americans to push-back against the tyranny of political correctness.

I still get a thrill hearing George Bailey say in “It's A Wonderful Life”, “Burt do you know me? My mouths bleedin' Burt! Zuzu's petals! Merry Christmas!”; Judy Garland as Dorothy singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”; the nun singing “Climb Every Mountain” in “The Sound of Music”. Yes, I am just a sappy old fashion Christmas kind of guy.

Here is a post I made in response that Karma made to all of us.  What happens to drugs and drug money when confiscated by law enforcement in the country.  I have provide the link to a website that gives a reason explanation until the last paragraph.  That paragraph bothers me.  What do you think.

Well, Karma, I am a little more rested if not misguided doing this on Christmas.  Here is a link from which I copied the info below.  I was sort of okay with this until I got to the last line.  Department of Justice.  That is like dropping a new business in the laps of crooks similar (possibly) to gun running.  I can only imagine what the Mexican government does with it.  Requires further investigation by, I believe, the Senate.  Hopefully we can get other to comment here.

Each jurisdiction has their own set of rules, regulations, and laws, but generally the drugs and money will either be disposed of (by at least two witnesses) or they will be kept. (Drugs can be used for training or future investigative operations. Money goes back to the parent government, NOT the seizing agency.) There is usually some forms that need to be filled out and approved by the chief of the law enforcement organization and the prosecutor's office and/or judge.

If the drugs are kept, they are stored in the property/evidence room and only checked out for operations/training - they're weighed when they leave and weighed again when they come back. If there's any missing and it wasn't used in an approved training or operation, it would be your ass. The drugs could be used for K-9 training or controlled burns (how do you think that cops and confidential informants know what marijuana smells like - they, like the dogs, have to have it signed off in their personnel/training records.) We will also use it to do field test training for those that don't get a lot of exposure to it (probation/parole officers, investigative assistants, confidential informants etc.) Operations is what you suspect - reverse buy/busts or buy/walks.

As I said, money that has been seized (and approved for forfeiture during a hearing) funnels back to the parent government and they disburse it as they see fit. At the Federal level, that is the Department of Justice.

           Pharmacist Refuses to Give Teen Girl an EpiPen – She Dies

A horrendous tragedy that will live with the family of Emma Sloan forever did not have to happen.  This young 14-year-old Dublin teenager was having a nice dinner with her loving family when she mistakenly ate a satay sauce which was made from peanuts.  Her mother who had been eating at the Chinese restaurant with her thought that the sauce was curry. The teen began to experience breathing difficulties according to Opposing Views. 

Not having a potentially lifesaving Epipen with them which would have dramatically halted the allergic reaction, Emma’s mother rushed to a nearby Pharmacy.  With her daughter’s life in the balance, Emma’s mother Caroline pleaded with the Pharmacist to sell her an Epipen.

Instead of allowing Emma’s mother the opportunity to save her daughter’s life, the pharmacist rejected her request to purchase the Epipen.  According to Opposing Views he instead informed her that she should take her daughter to an emergency room.

One of every parent’s most horrible nightmares began to unfold in front of Caroline Sloan’s eyes as she pleaded to no avail with the resistant pharmacist as her daughter lay in the street in anaphylactic shock.

       War on Christmas by Atheists

The War on Christmas is nothing new in America the only difference are the weapons which are being used against it.  Fox News is the only news network which has spent time to focus on the growing number of incidents which deprive children of celebrating Christmas in schools and families being able to celebrate and share Nativity Scenes in many public places.  With the mounting assaults upon Christians religious freedom to publically celebrate Christmas by atheists and ACLU supporters, is the War on Christmas a losing battle?

Some detractors of the celebration of Christmas joy and the true reason for the blessed season have been working nonstop in a number of venues to insure that the message of Christ’s birth is eradicated from any public viewing in America.  Yet, there is no outrage raised when atheists and other secular seasonal efforts are given free reign like Kwanza and other manufactured holidays.

Over the past decade a myriad of lawsuits and threats of lawsuits have been filed against public schools and cities that even propose the placement of a nativity scene in view of supporters of Christmas.  Therefore it is no small wonder that younger adults born between the 1980’s and early 2000s who are part of Generation Y, are increasingly failing to embrace the religious meaning of Christmas.

It is said that God has a sense of humor… I have seen it and laughed along with Him. LOL, of all the attorneys in Pittsburgh to choose from, I had to find THE WORST ( ask anyone in the Western District of Pa ). Texas Senator Ted Cruz said he was deeply concerned that "...Congress still has not prohibited President Obama’s ability to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens arrested on American soil without trial or due process..."

His statement reflected his "No" vote for passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).  Said Cruz:

"..."The Constitution does not allow President Obama, or any President, to apprehend an American citizen, arrested on U.S. soil, and detain these citizens indefinitely without a trial. When I ran for office, I promised the people of Texas I would oppose any National Defense Authorization Act that did not explicitly prohibit the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens. Although this legislation does contain several positive provisions that I support, it does not ensure our most basic rights as American citizens are protected..."

There were some aspects of the Bill Cruz supported, but the Senator said:

"...Unfortunately, the final outcome of the NDAA bill included provisions that made it impossible for me to support; specifically, Sen. Harry Reid refused to allow a vote on any amendments to protect the Due Process rights of American citizens not to be subject to indefinite detention..."

The statement from Cruz's office asserted that items of the Bill the Senator had worked to help pass included the following:

• A Cruz Amendment requiring an independent investigation into reports of religious discrimination against troops sharing their faith (Section 533).
• A Lee-Cruz amendment that strengthens the protection of religious liberty in the military (Section 532).
• Provision prohibiting the President from selling or transferring the Mount Soledad veterans’ memorial in San Diego to the highest bidder. The ACLU and groups hostile to this veterans memorial have long advocated this transfer (page 298, Joint Explanatory Statement). Sen. Cruz offered a similar amendment on the Senate floor.
• A provision that anonymously surveys chaplains on threats to their faith and their work (Section 534).
• Language from a Cruz amendment to recognize and commend the State Department’s authorization of the Rewards for Justice program for the terrorists who attacked the diplomatic facilities in Benghazi Libya on September 11, 2012 (Sections 1206, Joint Explanatory statement).
• Language from Sen. Cornyn’s amendment, co-sponsored by Sen. Cruz, authorizing the Purple Heart to victims of the Fort Hood terrorist attack (Section 565).
• A Cruz amendment to direct the Secretary of Defense to address the growing threat of a missile attack from the Gulf of Mexico or the southern hemisphere through bolstered missile defense capabilities (Section 238).
• A Cornyn amendment, supported by Sen. Cruz, to prohibit the Department of Defense from using taxpayer dollars to purchase Russian-made helicopters (Section 1255).
• Prohibition of moving Guantanamo detainees back to the United States (Section 1034). Sen. Cruz introduced an amendment in the Senate Armed Services Committee markup to authorize the Department of Defense to transport medical supplies or needed personnel from the U.S. to Guantanamo Bay in order to prevent detainees from being transported to the United States for medical care.
• Prohibition on a new Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) round (Section 2711). Sen. Cruz won adoption of an amendment in committee markup that would have required DOD to conduct an overseas BRAC study before even considering a domestic BRAC round.
• Protection of Servicemen and Women and their Families
• Protection for graduates of home school education to ensure they are not discriminated against in joining the military (Section 573).
• Improved assistance for widows of troops killed in combat (Section 633).

When a US government sets itself above the Constitution. When those elected and entrusted by the people willfully and un-constitutionally elevate their positions above the law.  When a president declares his disdain for the Constitution and resorts to executive powers which only exist within the confines of his own mind.  This is TREASON!  When government brings to bare the forces at its disposal to subdue the governed by laws it excuses itself from compliance of there is Treason and Tyranny.  Those elected to such a government commit nothing less than "high crimes and misdemeanors" by which they expose themselves to arrest and trial by the people.  There is no doubt whatsoever that the government of the 113th Congress, the President elect 2008, the current Supreme Court and the current administration are guilty al all the above violations of the U S Constitution as well as a large number of statute laws of every state in our Republic.  It is time they answered for their criminal behavior, their lies, treason and defiance of the United States Constitution!

Rather than asking you to read a long wordy post from me, I will make this as concise as possible. I love you. For the past five years, we have weathered numerous storms together including the Democrat's and mainstream media's deplorable irresponsible on-going campaign to brand you as a bunch of red neck racists.

I have traveled the country on 12 national bus tours; Stop Obama Tour, Tea Party Express and Rebuild American Defeat Obama Tour. On one occasion we held our breath as Ray, our bus driver inched his way up and down steep mountains in the snow because the main road was out. One misstep would have sent our Tea Party Express bus over the cliff.

Another time our bus had to be towed out of a sinkhole. The late Andrew Breitbart was on board when protesters egged our bus. Then, there was the time a coward smashed a full bottle of beer on our bus and ran off.

I have been away from home so much that our greyhound, Sammy, gives me the cold shoulder when I return.

You have spent tons of money traveling to rallies, hotels and meals. You have generously supported conservative candidates. Yes, we have been through a lot together.

Well, the battle for America is not over; miles to go before we sleep.

17-year-old Arapahoe High School Gun Victim Dies – Some Blame 2nd Amendment

The 17-year-old Colorado student who loved horses, life and what was expected to be a promising future after graduation died Saturday from her gun injuries.  Claire Davis who had been the only victim of the gunfire unleashed by shooter and fellow Arapahoe High School student Karl Pierson was shot point blank in the head on December 13, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The unfortunate tragedy underscores the need for both law enforcement as well as mental health authorities to play closer attention to some of the possible triggers which set deadly shooters like 18-year-old Pierson onto their campaign pathway of evil.

There are some at the school who appeared to believe that Pierson was all consumed with the notion of creating as many victims of his mayhem as possible.  He came to the school armed with, “a legally purchased 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, a machete, and three Molotov cocktails, 125 rounds of steel-shot, buckshot and slug ammunition,” according to Denver Westword.

Although Davis seemed to have had an acquaintance with the armed teenage shooter, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office,  Pierson did not appear to have singled her out as one of his intended victims.

Is Phil Robertson being accused falsely of Racism? – photo credit A&E

There is a literal firestorm building and the supporters of Duck Dynasty and the beleaguered reality show star Phil Robertson are refusing to bend to new charges of racism.  So should he stay or should he go now that the PC police have tried to hang the charge of racism around the neck of the head of the Duck Dynasty popular show?

New supposed revelations are circulating in the mainstream media and amongst fellow travelers in the gay community that they have latched onto other comments from Robertson’s GQ interview and condemned him for now showing dark racist intentions in his heart.

Robertson is quite open about his upbringing in the southern culture of the pre-civil rights era that birthed him.  He is quoted as saying, “I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash,” said the Wire.

That was the beginning of a statement which any person using commonsense should understand without having to go through years of civil rights study and history.  The Duck Dynasty leader of his family was not making a statement of fact about the mistreatment of blacks during that era of racism and disenfranchisement.  He was stating a fact based upon his own perspective and his reality.

When a homeowner has a break-in it is more than just an invasion of their privacy.  It is an attack on their sense of safety and security.  So you can imagine the anger that a Georgia homeowner felt when he was surprised by burglars who broke into his home a second time, reported Guns n Freedom. 

The homeowner who was on an afternoon lunch break  called 911 and as was to be suspected the police would not arrive in time to deal with the three thugs.  Enough was enough and the homeowner decided that he had the only type of justice these three thieves would understand.  He , “at that point pulled out a personal firearm and fired, striking one of the suspects,” commented Capt. Stephen Fore of the Dekalb County Police

Honey Boo Boo’s charity provides gifts and toys for needy area families -

Honey Boo Boo is an eight-year-old beauty queen that has captured the heart and soul of reality TV watchers all across the nation.  Of course for the most devout fans they fully understand the meaning of being “redneckognized!”  Everything about Honey Boo Boo, showcases that dynamic pint-sized personality which assures she is the true queen of “Toddlers and Tiaras.”

There is more to the star’s TV fame  on “Here Comes Honey Boo” for Alana Thompson , Honey Boo Boo, real name.  Underneath all of the makeup, glitter and spurts of child-like behavior is a giving heart.  It is that giving heart that neighbors of her and her family in their Georgia neighborhood appreciate.

The Thompson family always seem to find ways to showcase their hallmark  sensitive and compassionate side, which at Christmas is demonstrated through Honey Boo Boo’s family’s designated giving to the group Wilco Luvs Kids, reported the Daily Mail.
