I am truly afraid for my country, and this election is NOT just about jobs. It is about whether or not we will remain free people, or enter into Government slavery. I am reminded of the statement George Washington made regarding government: “Government is not reason, it is not eloquence – it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and fearful master.”
I would like Mitt Romney to look me, and the American people in the eye and tell us what he is going to do about ending executive orders (see this link: http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/executive-orders specifically, promoting international regulatory cooperation, and the executive orders restructuring our government into a dictatorship under the guise of a national emergency) I would like Mitt to tell me how he is going to get rid of the idea that our Constitution is somehow not good enough for us (see this link:http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/02/03/ruth_bader_ginsburg_to_egypt_dont_use_us_constitution_as_a_model.html) I have researched a great deal, and feel a great deal of fear for our nation, and only a great deal of anger at what has gone on behind our backs! OK. I have had moderation turned on for a while and most all the posts have been within the limits of good behavior. I am turning off the approval feature as long as comments are civil and to the point. I don't mind healthy debate or criticism. I do object to mindless, knee-jerk dedication to a cause (or personal cult such as surrounds Obamugabe). Let's get on with the business at hand. I don't claim to have the solutions to the nations problems, but if enough intelligent people look at the problem, they usually come up with a solution that will satisfy most, if not all.

       Loyal American citizens, those living in the real world, love Freedom and Liberty.  They would sooner die than live in a country governed by individuals who would rule them.  I happen to be one of those ready and willing to die for my God, my family, my Freedom and Liberty.  I am not alone.  There are millions of Americans willing to give as much as I to defend their God given right to Freedom, Liberty and happiness.  The highest law of the land stands on the side of these people, the United States Constitution.  Our founding Fathers considered it so important that every citizen had a right to own and bear arms that they included the Constitution.  They did not consider that we would need these weapons to hunt with or defend our homes from criminals.  They knew that if the right to own and bear arms was not an undeniable right under the law one day an elected government would try to take arms away from all citizens.  They knew that such a government would have only one reason to do this, to put every citizen under their absolute control.  It is absolutely imperative that every citizen be able to defend our Constitution and the Freedoms it guarantees.  This has never been more evident than it is with our present leadership in Washington.  I love my country and its Constitution and would never do anything to harm either.  However, I have no respect for the government nor do I, or any other citizen, owe this government any loyalty or anything else.  Every citizen owes his or her country whatever each can do for its continued survival and success.  This includes protecting the country and its Constitution from politicians.  To this end we must never, under any circumstances, allow any attempt to remove arms from American citizens.  For those who just cannot understand why gun owners are so dedicated, who do you want to have the power, the people or the tyrants in government? Consider what is happening to citizens in other countries where the people could not own guns, get the picture?  If you say "it can't happen here" you are nothing more than ignorant fool.

I have been listening to the cacophony of cowardly Republicans jumping all over Congressman Todd Akin of Missouri concerning his comments about rape and abortion a few days ago.  I understand that what he said was ill-advised but he tried to answer a very tough question instead of dodging it as most politicians would do.  He did manage to make a mess of it but has attempted to make amends in a very humble and honorable fashion.  Akin has apologized profusely, explained what he actually meant, explained where he got the information he was basing his statement on, and has also acknowledged that he spoke on facts that he now knows were feasible but questionable.  The man made a mistake in the way he stated his point and the entire Republican Party is throwing him to the wolves for it.

Government sector unions offer nothing of value to America. The prevention of workplace violations have long been secured by workplace rights legislation. The United States does not have a revenue problem.  The United States has a spending problem.  A major spending problem…  Recklessly continuing America’s massive deficit spending in the name of “social justice” or “economic justice” is suicidal.

The re-election of one current White House occupant ensures that America will be destroyed via the institutionalized “progressive” left’s Cloward-Piven strategy.  By foisting the government sector union failure upon America, what the institutionalized “progressive” left is doing is nothing short of criminal.  It is, by definition, extortion.

Instead of being elected to office, they should be imprisoned.

This administration accused the Republican candidate Romney of outsourcing jobs while he was restructuring companies.  What this administration does not want you to understand (political muddying of the water and how they like to do that) is that by allowing illegal aliens to enter the U.S. they are in effect outsourcing but some folks call it insourcing since these illegals are taking jobs for reduced wages from American citizens  who would be paid a higher wage.  Too much of the money being made by illegals is being transferred out of the U.S. in lieu of being recirculated within the U.S. thus creating more economic problems for the U.S.  What all past administrations do not publicize is that our Balance of Payments Deficit has been negative for many, many years.  We have been buying more that we have been selling to other countries resulting in a deficit.  Does this deficit matter?  You bet, as it is one more contribution to the demise of our economy.  Some people state that we need to allow foreigners into the country and I believe that is legitimate as long as they come in legally and abide by the law.  Other folks state that it does not matter since we need more younger people to support the growing older population and that is why the Administration and all previous administrations allowed illegals to cross the border without a challenge.  If that is the case we Americans have only ourselves to blame as collectively the U.S. has had well over 50 million abortions since Roe versus Wade.  We are self destructing.  Americans need to realize that the Bible and the 10 Commandments were given to us by God as a very realistic and practical blueprint for living.  If we continue to snub our nose at the Creator and His laws we will suffer even more as time goes on.  He knows what is best for us that is why He has provided the Bible, Christian Tradition, Churches, priests, ministers and Rabbis, etc for us so that we will have life and have it more abundantly and ultimately save our souls.  Sincere prayer to our Creator equals enlightenment!  Why do we need enlightenment from our Creator?  Can you really depend on the media and the biased educational system to provide enlightenment.  In reality, most of them provide brainwashing for their hidden agendae and most of us swallow it, hook, line and sinker.  Only the Creator will provide us with the truth because He is truth, itself.  Something to think about and it would not hurt to pray sincerely to our Creator for enlightenment!  What have you got to you lose?

I am not censoring anyone with half a brain. My blog is moderated simply because I don't have the time to "debate" with morons. There has been far too much of that already. We seem to spend all our efforts arguing rather than doing something about the mess we are in. I will continue to moderate for a while just to get a feel for the responses. However, unlike the politicians, I WILL NOT change my opinions simply because I think it's what people want to hear. I am 70 years old. I am a rabid originalist when it comes to the Constitution. I am a dues paying member of the Tea Party, unlike some here. I am an Oathkeeper and I am county coordinator for the Constitution Party. My heros are Justices Scalia and Thomas and anyone serving in the military. These are the people who are willing to put it on the line or go against the grain rather than just complain and talk.

I am too old to be in politics so I do what I can trying to influence others to see the light. We are light years away from the America of the revolution. Not technologically, that is a given, but spiritually and ethically. We have traded freedom to be ourselves for the security of being spoon fed from cradle to grave. There are still patriots willing to walk the walk. I pray that I can meet some of them and encourage them to keep up the good fight. Obama is not the problem. The problem is we let him happen. We are to blame not Obama. He is simply doing what any good despot would do. The sooner we realize that we are the problem and the ONLY solution the sooner we regain our freedom.

I hope you are right about Romney/Ryan. Perhaps I am more cynical. I am a student of human nature. Once Romney gets the essentially unlimited power of the presidency, there is nothing to stop him from his own brand of big government and spend, spend, spend. We are no longer a nation of laws but a nation of executive orders (ie: dictatorship). It is terrifying that the Constitution and government/civics classes are no longer taught in schools (for the most part). The problem here is not the crooked politicians but the fact that the electorate is uninformed and ignorant of how things are supposed to work. Worse, they no longer take their sovereignity seriously. We are the rulers by God, not the federal government! After the revolutionary war the heirarchy was deemed to be:

            God

            The People

            The Sovereign States

            The Limited Federal Government

Now the heirarchy is:

            The Federal Government

            Everything and everyone else.

God and the people are not a factor except as a source of production and money.

I suspect the Romney will be more of the same. More benign perhaps but still a gentle despot who is primarily looking out for his own interests. He is a politician, he can do nothing else. I am reminded of the story of the frog and the scorpion.

This is probably all a moot discussion. I look for Obama to anull the elections, or declare a national emergency and set aside the Constitution and Congress, or perhaps just simply declare himself President for Life. He is capable of anything. He has proven that he considers himself above that pesky Constitution and the common law.

Howdy all!  It’s fair week in SE Washington.  We have bands such as Foghat and REO Speedwagon playing.  So, is that good?  Well, it tells me how old I am.  I took my fiancée to see REO; been married over 26 years.  And Foghat?  I saw them on their farewell tour – in 1978!  So is this good or bad?

On face value, George’s statement is sad.  At no other time in history did man better understand the rights of man?  Really?  Well, for a very long time, this was true.  Our founders had exceptional vision most of us would agree was given to them as a gift from God.  And we know how effective they were at utilizing that gift.  But what about now?  Many people don’t (or won’t) understand.  They don’t pay attention outside the snippets of lies presented in such a nice package on the national ‘evening news’ broadcast.  But, there has been a growing swell of understanding by those who do nothing more than pay attention, and say we have had enough.  Before the last 4 or 5 years, maybe as far back as ten or even twenty, how many times had you heard the phrase unalienable rights?  How many knew more than the first line or two from the Declaration of Independence, or part of the Preamble of the Constitution?  And now; how much do you know of these documents?  HOW MANY HAVE A FAVORITE LINE??  I do.  Article IV, Section 4 – “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.” (BTW, When the President is whistled over the brow of a US Naval ship, he is announced “United States Arriving”). 

So, there are a lot of things going wrong with our government.  Our federally elected employees have run amok.  We have charged them with managing our national affairs.  And they are blowing it.  So, here we are, set to make a change; many changes.  Changes are to be made because our employees have not performed up to our expectations.  We need to clean house, and hire people with integrity to perform the tasks given them by the governed.  We the People have that power.  Nowhere else on earth, at no other time in known history have a people been able to do that without war.  There are those around who feel this absence of aggression may change this election year.  I happen to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that we will prevail, our Constitution will prevail, and The United States of America will remain as one united land.  American Exceptionalism is not dead.  It has had a headache.  It’s time to massage the temples, take the medicine to correct what is wrong.  Exceptionalism has some pains, but the pain will go away.  There is nothing to fear, as they say.  So let’s rejoice!  Paul’s words to the Philippians can be very encouraging here.  Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again rejoice!  No matter what may lay before us, we will prevail, as long as we maintain our faith, our principles and our values.  Summer is almost over.  Autumn is just around the corner.  It’s time to rejoice!
