Although many Congressmen and most Senators are millionaires, no one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay for retirement. While politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.
Monday on Fox news, they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop?
Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.
This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on. This is an idea that we should address.

The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

“The Environmental Protection Agency issued final regulations Thursday aimed at slashing toxic air pollution from power plants that crosses state lines and potentially puts thousands of lives at risk.
The regulations put new limits on sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from power plant smokestacks in 27 Eastern states. The power plant emissions, EPA says, travel across state lines, threatening the health of thousands of people.
“No community should have to bear the burden of another community’s polluters or be powerless to prevent air pollution that leads to asthma, heart attacks and other harmful illnesses,” EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said Thursday. “These Clean Air Act safeguards will help protect the health of millions of Americans and save lives by preventing smog and soot pollution from traveling hundreds of miles and contaminating the air they breathe.”
It’s the latest effort by EPA to reduce air pollution. The agency is targeting pollution from industrial boilers as well as greenhouse gases, mercury and other air toxins from power plants. EPA says it will unveil long-delayed ozone standards in July. But Republicans and some Democrats are working to block or delay EPA’s regulations, arguing they are overly burdensome.
The states covered by Thursday’s rule will work with power plants to install technology to reduce SO2 and NOx emissions, which contribute to ozone and fine-particle pollution. EPA says many power plants have already begun installing the necessary equipment.
By 2014, the regulations will cut SO2 emissions by 73 percent and NOx emissions by 54 percent below 2005 levels, EPA says. The agency said that will prevent 34,000 premature deaths, 15,000 heart attacks and 400,000 cases of asthma starting in 2014, which would amount to $280 billion a year in health benefits. Fewer states are covered under the final regulations. A proposed rule unveiled by the agency last year covered 31 states.
The “clean air transport rule,” which EPA has renamed the “cross-state air pollution rule,” replaces a set of 2005 Bush administration regulations that were struck down by the courts. Jackson said Thursday that the regulations will have the added benefit of increasing visibility in many state and national parks, and improving the health of steams and lakes.
Environmental and public health groups applauded the regulations Thursday.
“Today’s finalization of the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule is a vital component of the EPA’s effort to protect the health of millions of Americans who live downwind of power plants that belch out life-threatening pollution,” said Albert Rizzo, national volunteer chair at the American Lung Association, in a statement.
Still, some clean air groups said the rule is not stringent enough.
“But as significant as today’s action is, it represents only a step toward a greater goal with respect to transported air pollution,” said National Association of Clean Air Agencies Executive Director Bill Becker. “The NOx emissions cap is simply not sufficient to control the magnitude of emissions that come from power plants.”
Republicans quickly blasted the new regulations Thursday.
“This Administration proves time and time again that they just don’t understand how its actions crush jobs across the country,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said in a statement.
“Today’s economically devastating rule is just the latest strike in the Administration’s ongoing war against traditional sources of American energy.”
Industry groups echoed Barrasso’s concerns.
“The EPA is ignoring the cumulative economic damage new regulations will cause,” American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity President Steve Miller said in a statement. “America’s coal-fueled electric industry has been doing its part for the environment and the economy, but our industry needs adequate time to install clean coal technologies to comply with new regulations.
Unfortunately, EPA doesn’t seem to care.”

Prominent politician Mike Huckabee, on his Fox News show yesterday, gave me prominent defense lawyer Alan Dershowitz to talk about the Casey Anthony case. Dershowitz informed me that American justice is based legal precedence, not on moral or ethical principles. Thus “reasonable doubt,” the golden rule of defense lawyers. Hitler was legal. Were those who followed Hitler’s law innocent? No.
The law in practice in America is the reason America is morally and ethically going down the tube; why America is divided; why Sharia law is a threat. Clearly, the American people, as well as the Anthony jury, are ignorant of the law. Don’t listen to me. The lawyer’s dictionary, Black’s Law Dictionary, makes Dershowitz a bald-faced liar. Read for yourself under “lawful” that the law is based on morals and ethics. Lies, the absence of truth, won a killer mother’s freedom.
Legal is merely a form of law in practice, in America’s case, based on defense lawyers twisting the law. It is all about money. This non-conformist nobody, a boat-rocker, the type that makes people nervous, has a record of shooting down the law in practice. Would that I was the lawyer for the deceased child, Anthony would have gotten a life sentence. But I didn’t get my legal training in a law school.
By the way, I was called for jury duty only once. I was foreman of the jury. Half of the jurors were for the plaintiff, an individual who was taxiing his private plane in a restricted area. He was blown over by the backwash of a jet being tested. The airline defendant had insurance. That was of no consequence. I would not yield. The half for the plaintiff were anxious to get on with their own thing. Two hours of resisting them was all it took. Were I the foreman of the Anthony jury, the outcome would have been based on morals and ethics, not on legal precedence.
My law practice came from Law Professor Edwin S. Corwin’s essay, The “Higher Law” Background of American Constitutional Law. It came from my going to the county law library and personally reading the law and legal precedence. During my study of the law, I felt that voices of the past were personally speaking to me. I heard nothing of what Dershowitz claims. I rattle cages. I win every time. Lawyer lose. Voices of the past or Dershowitz? I beat the IRS lawyers. I beat the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser. The county attorney and two lawyers from the State lost. I used Donald Trump’s case against the Property Appraiser. I obtained a copy of it from the county clerk. I beat the attorney for the City of West Palm Beach, and the defendant’s lawyer, in two instances. I helped considerably in the replacement of the mayor. When a county judge saw me appear against my bank he recused himself. He was the judge on property appraiser case. Lawyers are professional liars. They lie for money. I represent the truth.
Judges are not trained for the truth. They can’t deal with it. The same witnesses were brought to testify over and over in the Anthony case. What the hell was going on? The father of the defendant broke down and cried uncontrollably when accused of being a bad father for the umpteenth time, while his daughter scowled and clicked a pen, the defense’s ploy to confuse the jury.
This comes to mind. The United States is heading for the rocks. The great blizzard of 1839 inspired Longfellow to write the Wreck of the Hesperous. Longfellow wrote, Wouldst thou know the secret of the sea. Only those who brave its dangers comprehend its mysteries. I spent two years at sea on a sloop I named Bold Venture. While at sea on a small boat the universe’s energy concentrates in the individual.
In August 1976, while sailing from Nassau in the Bahamas to Palm Beach, Florida with three friends, we sailed into Tropical Storm Dottie. We experienced one of those talked about time warps, only instead of disappearing and never seen again, we were placed at our destination. Seas were breaking completely across Lake Worth Inlet. We sailed into the breakers. The sea behind us never broke. We slid down it into the inlet.
I had studied the U. S. Constitution and felt that voices of the past were speaking to me. I had a bigger than life calling. From that point on my life changed for the better. My blogs inform the public of what voices of the past tell me.
Defense lawyer Alan Dershowitz is a professional liar. He is paid to establish reasonable doubt. American justice is the biggest scam of all times. It is not going to change unless and until the American people understand that freedom requires personal involvement.

Oh what a difference the Atlantic Ocean makes . . . roughly two years after Al Gore received the Nobel Peace Prize for his “documentary” pseudo-pscience-FICTION work “An Inconvenient Truth” (the film also won an Oscar from the Hollywood crowd), European newspapers and television became awash in the revelations of the Climate-Gate Scandal (see link #1 above). Very quickly the embarrassing frauds and cover-ups and phony pscience pshenanigans drove Europe, which had been far more gung-ho about man-caused global warming than America, into a solidly sensibly refusal to honor environmental extremism in any way, shape or form.
Today Europeans call environmental extremists and ecotage advocates “mean-greenies” and “watermelons” (green on the outside but pink or even RED on the inside . . . meaning they are mere pretenders at environmentalism who use the contrived global warming scenario in hopes of instituting greater socialistic and even communistic-type totalitarian regimes); and carbon-trading or cap-and-trade schemes there are all but dead. Of course, Global-Warming is still a big argument on this side of the Atlantic where the liberal-mainstream media considers the East Anglia University’s Climate Research Unit’s (CRU) scandalous behavior a non-story and continues to support Al Gore’s lies. The second and third link above gives the details of how CRU deliberately omitted data from the warmest 350 years in recent history (a time when Greenland was indeed Green; when the Vikings could settle there and even push on to explore North America: a time called the Medieval Warm Period.
When you eliminate records of the warmest 350 years in a 2,500 year study you’re definitely going to get an average temperature for the earth that is much cooler than the real honest average. That’s the kind of people that are pushing the global-warming agenda . . . corrupt politicians and corrupt scientists.
For Al Gore and about 60 of his well-known progressive**cronies (including but definitely NOT limited to Franklin Raines, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Joel Rogers, Richard Sandor, John Ayers, George Soros, Valerie Jarret, the head men at Goldman-Sachs, etc., etc. ad nauseum all up to their eye-teeth involved in CCX, the Chicago Climate eXchange) the Climate-Gate scandal was a monstrous personal financial disaster that prevented them from pocketing hundreds of Billion$$$ and even TRillion$$$. With all their influence in Europe gone seemingly overnight, the difficulties caused by the 2009 U.S. Senate’s refusal to ratify a Cap and Trade bill, earlier passed in Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives by five votes, brought about the elimination of CCX entirely – almost ten years work and scheming down the drain.
Nevertheless multi-billionaire currency-manipulator George Soros (“The man who broke the Bank of England”) and his toady Barack Obama soldier on striving for greater federal government control of our natural resources. How? By seeking to use presidential-regulatory fiat via the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to eliminate the entire coal industry and virtually handcuff the petroleum industry in America. If you’ll examine the last two links above, you’ll hear Barack Obama’s interview with the San Francisco Chronicle in which he promised to bankrupt the coal industry and that his policies “will necessarily cause the price of electricity to sky-rocket.” The Chronicle did NOT publish this story and the mainstream-lamestream media has sat on it unwilling to tell Americans the truth for over three years now. The EPA, then, is Barack Obama’s tool for carrying out those two stupid and evil promises. Right now the coal industry which provides the power that gives us 49% of our electricity is under fire from the EPA and some American coal mines and some American coal-fired power plants are already being forced toward bankruptcy. Not only Millions of jobs, but also Billions of dollar$$$ in increased electrical bills are at stake.
Al Gore came within a whisker of becoming the world’s first “green Billionaire,” with a B, despite having a personal ‘carbon-footprint’^^ the size of Las Vegas: including three huge mansions (the last one in California cost over $8 Million) and two private jets. Barack Obama, however as he revealed in his first autobiography Dreams from My Father is a communist son of a communist father who, in his only known published writing, shows a heavy interest in 100% taxation, government seizing land and business, and government controlling all aspects of the economy.
Barack Obama is driven toward higher goals than mere money and mere power. Barack Obama believes in the necessity, efficacy and benefit of Totalitarian Communism just as his father did. He is a “watermelon” . . . pretending interest in green activity on the outside to further socialistic and communistic aims that lie deep within his heart. Our liberal media is now committed to advancing Obama’s re-election campaign as they did his original election . . . and to advancing the progressive agenda no matter what the cost to America and to her people. Americans are being denied the information necessary to make intelligent decisions by the media which thinks they, like Obama, know more about what’s good for us, than we ourselves do. Inform your friends and neighbors and every intelligent voter you can find, this “movement” for global-warming is a red herring for total government control. But, first, do NOT trust me. Whatever was said about global warming pseudo-pscientific pshenanigans is true in spades about environmental “research” into products that keep humanity safe . . . such as DDT.
While the verdict is still out on whether Cap and Trade legislation or regulatory edict will take hold and cripple America’s economy, Ms. Carson has quietly passed Jack the Ripper, Ted Bundy, the Cuban combo of Castro and Che Guevara, Pol Pot, Genghis Khan, Hitler, Stalin and Chairman Mao to move onto the throne as the all-time #1 mass murderer. She did it with her little science-FICTION book masquerading as real science: Silent Spring. Despite documenting no actual science, Ms. Carson was able to practically create the extremist wing of the environmental movement single-handedly; and to influence the American government and the United Nations to institute a worldwide ban on DDT, the most effective and most harmless insecticide ever created.
By 1972, deaths from just one tropical mosquito-borne disease, malaria, had dropped to 41,400 worldwide. Now and for virtually every single one of the 38 years since the DDT ban took effect malaria deaths stand at roughly 2.1 million yearly, not to mention the even greater number of surviving millions who will now spend every third day of their life suffering the ravages of malaria’s fever. All told, considering all the nine deadly tropical diseases dramatically reduced using DDT which are now running rampant, Ms. Carson has killed about 98 million people.
Rajjpuut has been told about a showman who purportedly would drink DDT as tea and also use it as salad dressing. The safety of the substance is seen in the fact that it was sprayed directly upon U.S. servicemen in World War II; and upon their clothing and tents; and that today many African nations are starting to avoid the DDT ban and use DDT again – their favorite way? They spray their huts inside and out three times yearly.
Despite Ms. Carson’s undocumented claims of testing, no human has ever been proved to have developed cancer from DDT exposure; no animals with fewer than six legs has ever been shown to have been harmed by DDT; and DDT has never been shown to actually make birds’ eggshells thinner: QED. But lack of DDT, definitely kills 2.1 million people a year. As Hippocrates said, “First do NO HARM.”
Speaking of harm . . . although the Climate-Gate scandal wasn’t uncovered in Europe until early November, 2009, in March of 2009 the British Parliament published its results into an investigation of the East Anglia University’s Climate Research Unit (CRU) and man-caused global-warming. The progressives in control of Parliament at that time did their best to hide the real meat of the investigation. In volume two of the report, there is a memorandum submitted as evidence from Lord Lawson of Blaby, chairman of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, which was in response to four very significant questions from the investigating committee. This memo confirms the claims by many global warming skeptics that the scientists at CRU were trying to hide data and silence the skeptics. The questions asked by the investigative committee are as follows:
(i) Have the CRU scientists been manipulating the raw surface temperature data in a way that is less than wholly objective and dispassionate?
(ii) Have they refused dissenting scientists and/or other outsiders with a bona fide interest in global warming access to the raw data, contrary to the proper canons of scientific research and to the demands of scientific integrity?
(iii) Have they been improperly seeking to avoid answering Freedom of information Act requests?
(iv) Have they actively sought to prevent papers by dissenting scientists, statisticians, or other informed commentators from being peer-reviewed and/or published, again contrary to the proper canons of scientific research and to the demands of scientific integrity?
Lord Lawson's response to these questions is damning:
“We believe that there is compelling evidence both independent of the leaked email exchanges and arising from those emails to suggest that the answers to (ii), (iii) and (iv) above are clearly 'yes'.”
However, Lord Lawson chooses his words more carefully in answering the smoking-gun question at the top of the list: “Moreover, we are disturbed by the CRU scientists' treatment of the so-called divergence problem. That is the fact that, for that period of time where both a proxy global temperature series and a recorded global temperature series are available, the two series markedly diverge. This clearly suggests either that the proxy series is unreliable or that the recorded series is unreliable (or possibly both: the point is that they cannot both be true). The CRU scientists' attempt to hide the problem by concealing the divergence demonstrates, we believe, a lack of integrity.”
If this study had been taken seriously in Europe there’s a good chance that Climate-Gate would have happened many, many months earlier. If it and the Climate-Gate scandal had been reported here (as well as Barack Obama’s, Al Gore’s and George Soros’ conflict of interest with regard to CCX) in America, there’s a good chance that our economy would now be humming again as Congress responded to the American people’s awareness and disgust with Washington corruption on energy and the environment. As American Thinker tells us, “Integrity is at the very heart of the Man-Caused GW debate -- not just the integrity of the discredited scientists involved, but also the integrity of the data used by the CRU. For many years, the global warming skeptics have been citing that the differing data sets are not in agreement and have asked the simple question "why?" Their assertion has always been that until a scientific explanation for the differences is found, there can be no definitive conclusion concerning M-CGW. This question was always avoided by the now-discredited Dr. Jones, who headed up the CRU. But finally, some light has been shed onto the question of integrity of the data.”
By the way, in the United States the cost of carbon-trading tax legislation would reach $10 Trillion yearly or 40% of the economy without producing a good or service. “Another Border Patrol agent on the southwest border is facing a long prison sentence for doing his job. Isn’t it amazing how this happens only on the southwest border and never the Canadian border?
Veteran agent Jesus Diaz faces a sentence of five to 25 years in federal prison for “mistreating” an illegal alien who was apprehended crossing the border near Eagle Pass, Texas, in 2008.
The man was handcuffed, and allegedly, Diaz lifted his handcuffs to force him to the ground because he was not cooperative. For this “offense” Diaz was prosecuted by U.S. attorney for the West Texas region, Johnny Sutton, and convicted and will be sentenced in September.
Diaz’s “victim,” who was carrying a backpack with 50 pounds of marijuana at the time, was subsequently given a visa and is free to enter and leave the U.S. any time he chooses.
We remember U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton as the prosecutor in the Ramos and Compean case. Border Patrol officers Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos went to prison and later had their sentences commuted by President Bush in January 2009.
The “victim” in their case, a well-known smuggler named Oswaldo Aldrete-Davila, also got a visa but – surprise! – was later arrested and convicted for drug smuggling.
These two Border Patrol prosecutions have more in common than the eternal vigilance of Johnny Sutton. In these cases and many others, the U.S. attorney’s office was responding to protests from the Mexican government that its citizens were being mistreated by Border Patrol agents.
In 2008 the U.S. attorney’s office in southern Arizona declined to prosecute a Border Patrol agent after he accidentally killed an illegal alien who was in a group of four he was trying to subdue a hundred yards from the border fence near Naco, Ariz. But in this instance, the local Cochise County attorney decided to prosecute the agent under state law after the Mexican government protested the lack of action against the agent. He was prosecuted twice, but when both juries ended in deadlock, the government gave up trying to put him in prison.
The family of the Mexican national who had been killed then sued the Border Patrol agent for damages in civil court.
In San Diego last month, an illegal alien was shot by a Border Patrol agent in self-defense after a group of illegal aliens came at him with cement blocks that had nails embedded in them.
The man who was shot had a long criminal history and had been deported twice, yet the Mexican government is demanding prosecution of the Border Patrol officer involved.
In Texas this week, a “Mexican citizen” was executed for the brutal murder of a teenage girl he had met at a party. He confessed his crime, was convicted and sentenced to death by lethal injection.
In the last weeks before the scheduled July 7 execution, President Obama got involved and asked the U.S. Supreme Court to order Texas to delay the execution.
Why? Because the man had not been advised before trial that under a U.S. treaty with Mexico, as a citizen of Mexico he had a right to ask for assistance from the Mexican government. He confessed his crime and had a fair trial in every respect, but the government of Mexico was offended.
In response to the Mexican protests, Obama asked the Supreme Court to delay the execution so Congress can have time to pass a law ordering Texas to give the man a new trial. You heard that right: Obama asked the court to rule on the basis of a law that had not yet been enacted – and may never be enacted. Five justices of the court ignored Obama, as did the state of Texas. Two cheers for Texas!
Why do we see this acute sensitivity to the wishes and interests of the corrupt government of Mexico in matters of U.S. criminal law and U.S. border security?
This is almost laughable, but to the 20,400 officers of the Border Patrol, it is more than a nuisance. It is a threat held over their heads daily. Rock-throwing incidents and other physical assaults on Border Patrol officers have increased dramatically in recent years.
It is a well-established fact that the Mexican military and Mexican law enforcement at both the state and local levels is thoroughly penetrated by the drug cartels – yet the Border Patrol and the sheriffs of border counties are required to “collaborate” and cooperate with Mexican agencies.
About 1,000 illegal aliens are apprehended on a typical day on the southwest border. In each Border Patrol station, as these trespassers are processed for “voluntary removal,” the nearest Mexican consulate must be called and allowed to interview the illegal interlopers to determine if any person was mistreated. To the Border Patrol agent walking the line, this is a recipe for manufacturing allegations of misconduct.
The government of Mexico should focus its efforts on getting its own house in order. After that has been accomplished, and after they stop encouraging and facilitating “northward migration,” we might be interested in their opinions on the American criminal justice system.”

Instead, Senate Democrats are proposing to stabilize borrowing through sharp cuts at the Pentagon and other government agencies, as well as $2 trillion in new taxes, primarily on families earning more than $1 million year, according to a copy of the plan obtained by The Washington Post.
With debt-reduction talks under way between Obama and congressional leaders, Senate Democrats are unlikely to adopt the blueprint. However, it has gained broad support among those eager to chart a path to solving the nation’s budget problems without making politically painful cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
“The very strong feeling was we needed to get this into the conversation, because it provides an alternative view,” said a Senate Democrat familiar with the blueprint, who spoke on condition of anonymity because it has not been publicly released. “What’s striking is how modest the changes need to be to get us back on track.”

“NEW YORK – As Leon Panetta begins his first trip to Afghanistan as secretary of defense, controversy has already arisen: Israel’s Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren has accused Iran of supplying missiles that have directly resulted in the deaths of U.S. troops serving in Afghanistan.
In a private conference call earlier in the week, Oren told participants: “Iran has been involved in the [Taliban’s] shooting of American soldiers [in Afghanistan] ... killing at least eight of them in the last week and a half with missiles [that] have been imported directly from Tehran.”
The charge comes as the Pentagon prepares to begin its first phase of reducing U.S. military involvement in the region with troops slated to leave later this month.
Oren’s allegations would seem to confirm that despite NATO efforts to block military aid to the Afghan insurgents, the Taliban has succeeded in obtaining both small and major arms shipments – its main source: Iran.
Congressional sources who have been monitoring the situation are not surprised.
While refusing any on-the-record comments, sources within the House Foreign Affairs Committee admitted that Iran’s covert arms shipments to Afghanistan have been so extensive, it was only a “matter of time” that some would reach rebels in the field.
And it all comes as Panetta arrives to survey the status of American forces.
With the U.S. reducing its “footprint” in the region, Oren says Tehran is intent on filling any vacuum:“We see an immense increase in Iranian military involvement in these areas, a brazenness at a time when [the international community’s] focus on the region is falling elsewhere and not on Iran.”
One area the Israeli highlighted was Iran’s problem-plagued nuclear program.
Tehran insists its nuclear program is peaceful in nature, but the White House insists the program is really a secret shell for an atomic weapons project, and Washington succeeded in getting the U.N. Security Council to impose sanctions over it.
Nonetheless, Iran has proceeded with the project, headlined by the recent completion of a massive nuclear power station near the Persian Gulf port of Bushehr.
The program first began under the Shah in the late 1970s with German assistance. When the Islamists took power, the project was mothballed, only to be resurrected by Tehran with Russian help in the mid-1990s.
The power station, finally completed last year, more than 5 years late and several billion dollars over budget, went online briefly and then shut down due a “mysterious” computer virus thought to have been covertly seeded by Washington or Jerusalem.
Those problems have apparently been solved by Russian and Iranian technicians, and Bushehr is now expected to be fully operational by early autumn, says Tehran.
Oren explained: “Iran has overcome the technical difficulties it experienced last year in its nuclear program. According to Israeli/American sources and the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran is now producing enriched uranium [the core fuel for an atomic bomb] at a rate that is very impressive and increasing that enrichment rate to a much higher level. ... At the same time, it is very vigorously pursuing its missile-development program with missiles that can hit anywhere in the Middle East and southern Europe. Within 5-10 years they will be able to reach the East Coast of the United States.”
The Israeli diplomat cautioned: “All of this is going on at a time when the Iranian regime is openly committed to destroying Israel, deny the Holocaust. ... We hope that in spite of the great distractions going on in the Middle East, and they are significant, that the international community will regain its focus on Iran and work swiftly and decisively to prevent Iran from developing its military and nuclear capabilities and to stem a pernicious Iranian hegemony throughout the Middle East.”
That hegemony is likely to take shape at the United Nations General Assembly to be held in New York City in September.
Both Presidents Barack Obama and Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are expected to participate.
Top on the list will be an effort by the Palestinians to gain official statehood status by the world body. The move is heavily backed by Iran, while Washington and Jerusalem oppose the effort.
A vote of approval would come in the U.N. General Assembly, where no veto exists. At this point, the vote is expected to be close. Only a simple majority of the U.N.’s 192 members is needed for approval.
The U.S. Congress has threatened to cut off all U.S. funding of U.N. activities if it approves Palestinian statehood.
Neither the US/UN Mission or the executive office of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon would offer any comment for this story.”

I turned on my computer this morning and got this question on the MSN browser page. What are your chances of being attacked by a shark while vacationing at the beach, or being attacked by norovirus on a cruiseship, or being murdered while on vacation in Mexico? Not to worry, my friends, though the thought came to me about the hundreds of millions of people that do not live a full life by reason of religion, even die in the name of religion.
I can’t think of a news story that has attracted more interest than the Casey Anthony trial. It concerns a human life that was snuffed out at age two, a heart-felt tragedy. Now that Anthony has been acquitted of murdering her child, the interest persists, the issue reasonable doubt. How Anthony’s daughter died is not known, but the question was raised of why an accident turned into a murder trial; why Anthony didn’t report her missing child to the police; why she changed her story over and over? The facts of the case were held by the jury to be secondary. The principle of reasonable doubt prevailed. Lying, the absence of truth, won. The jury was sickened but felt it had no choice. American society is badly mixed up. We can’t get over this. It will stick with us. I’d like to offer my take.
Nice work if you can get it. When we lie, it leaves reasonable doubt. What lying politicians have wrought on America leaves reasonable doubt. Nevertheless, the American people voted into office Barack Obama. Factually, a bad situation became a terrible situation, but there remains reasonable doubt. The lying continues. Jesus accused the scribes and Pharisees of being hypocrites—“for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men” (Mt.23:13). Jesus was prosecuted. The jury decided to crucify Jesus. No doubt about it, Jesus was guilty of attacking the recognized authority. As long as reasonable doubt prevails, and the authorities shut up the kingdom of heaven, hundreds of millions will die. Jesus said he would return.
Jesus often referred to the kingdom of heaven. He said, “in earth as it is in heaven.” In order to make his points, he spoke in parables designed to teach the truth in terms people could understand. But he made a distinction. Jesus said, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God” (Mt. 6:33). The kingdom of God is not on earth or in heaven. God cannot be here and there at the same time. But it is essential for recognized authorities, both secular and ecclesiastical, they must keep reasonable doubt alive about where God is, and it goes much further.
Cicero, the father of modern law, said, “We are born for justice, and right is not the mere arbitrary construction of opinion but an institution of nature.” An inalienable right, an institution of nature, as I read in Black’s Law Dictionary, is not capable of being surrendered or transferred without the consent of the one possessing such rights. In other words, we are not like properties that can be bought, sold, bartered—or eliminated and left to rot—but surely have the personal responsibility to be self governed. Earthbound authority leaves us with reasonable doubt. For what purpose? What would we be if there was no doubt that we are all God’s children, as Jesus indicated, first seek ye the kingdom of God? Would reasonable doubt be at issue? Jesus said, let he who is not with sin cast the first stone, and indeed, justice is an ever shifting moral principle. I don’t think that’s what Jesus meant. What would we be if there was no doubt in the world that each of us is a child of God? Would a little child whose loss we grieve not be alive today? There is a lesson to be learned in this little child’s murder.
I’ve the experience to speak on seeking first the kingdom of God. My awareness has been considerably expanded. I know that suffering humanity is the result of being out of sync mentally with the harmony of the universe. God’s blessing, immaterial, our actuating cause of life, out of this comes justice and the freedom of spirit. We begin to live the life intended when we look for guidance to the internal God in each of us. Our doubts vanish like mist in the morning sun. We discover hidden powers and all manner of possibilities. Man’s law ceases to be confusing and dominating. We become water-bearers, our brother’s keeper pouring out spiritual energy.
Welcome the second coming of Jesus Christ. Welcome the Age of Aquarius.

I am having trouble understanding so many things that are being attributed to Congress and the Senate.
I understand Mr. Obama, Reid and Ms. Pelosi; they are socialists similar to about a third of both of the Houses of Congress.
What I am finding puzzling is the way they are treating their employer; US!
Why are you taxing the American citizen instead of the bankers, Federal Reserve and billionaire companies?
Some things including the treatment of G. E., Goggle and other high dollar businesses with the amounts of income versus taxes withheld do not compute and need communications to the public; namely WE-THE-PEOPLE! Let's hear how you are going to get yourselves re-elected; or not! Hiding money offshore is another thing! I know I am fragmenting these facts, but there are so many its difficult not to.
Then there's the National Grants where the sex lives of ants are investigated and the Mosques are studied and approved. America should not be granting money for Mosques or ant investigations.
There are companies that are created specifically for granting these grants and are a waste of tax monies! YOU should be aware of how much money is being given away in this frivolous manner, so you can stop it!
Then there are other things you need to be aware of with Mr. Obama starting a war without knowing what he is doing. He asked every ones permission except the people he should have asked! WE-THE-PEOPLE; not the U. N. or Hugo Chavez!
He has created a depression out of Bush's recession, forced a huge portion of America into default over his policies exponentially increased abortion on demand without our consent, created a situation in our society where the National Guard should be called in to quell the union riots; because the police won't protect and serve; the riots ARE the teachers and police!
I have seen some of the riots where individuals were attacked and the police refuse to act.
AND Who will pay for the repair and cleaning of the desecrated WI mess?
I pray the people that caused the riots! WILL the will the union bosses pay, and NOT WE-THE-PEOPLE!?
Who will pay for the actions of Mr. Obama? The Arab League? The Saudis? The Christians are still being persecuted in the Middle East, not by the Jews, but by the Muslims!
This nation was built on the premise of Christianity and freedom. Mr. Jefferson went to Tripoli to free the white AND black slaves in the sixteenth century! The women and Christians are being persecuted and you say nothing! Let's do something about this! Let's hear some complaints about the Chinese, Russian AND Muslimpersecution!
Another point: How many billions are we paying these countries that hate us to be nasty to us? Can you understand why we have formed the tea parties?
Let's stop that; only pay FRIENDLY NATIONS! And only if they need the help!

Today Rajjpuut the Audacious, with his usual effrontery, goes where no Libertarian sympathetic to the TEA (“Taken Enough Abuse”; ‘Taxed Enough Already”) Party has gone before: compiling a list of the 13 most dangerous liberal; progressive; communist; or totalitarian publications in history. His logic may well amuse you, but hopefully it will make you think as well. The inclusion of some of these illustrious works will absolutely shock you. The countdown from #13 to #1 begins now, Enjoy:
13. Drama-Movie/Musical: Grease
Unlike the powerful and laudable books by S.E. Hinton, Grease goes well beyond revealing the truth about a dubious sub-culture into unshackled naked glorification of it. Rajjpuut gives two-thumbs up to Marie Osmond for her role in #13’s history. Our first entry in the category of most dangerous publications in history will undoubtedly surprise many: perhaps if we’d listed the cartoon show The Simpsons you might have been more than surprised and absolutely shocked . . . but The Simpsons is excellent satire (even though it has long irritated a certain segment of the ultra-right) that tends to intelligently cut both ways across the political spectrum. Grease can claim no such evenness of hand. After its 1971 premier in Chicago, Grease quickly became one of the most popular off-Broadway plays in history.
Later the play became the #1 most popular ever performed on Broadway running to 3,388 performances before its 1980 close. Later this record would be beaten by several plays, Cats and Chicago to name two. The 1978 film version of Grease was originally planned to star Henry Winkler (the Fonze from the Happy Days TV program) and Marie Osmond but instead lit fireworks under the careers of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Osmond turned down the part even though the movie looked like “a lot of fun” because she didn’t like the ending with the girl having to “turn bad” to get the boy. And that is precisely the point, the heroine of the story starts out as an admirable young woman and becomes a cheap imitation of other cheap females . . . albeit more popular . . . .
The movie was the highest grossing movie of 1978; the highest grossing movie musical ever at that time surpassing 1965’s The Sound of Music and wound up being the third highest grossing film of the ‘70s behind only Star Wars and Jaws. The danger in Grease is that the film is such a fine nostalgic piece; that it IS so very much fun; and most importantly, that it was so extraordinarily successful both on the boards and on the silver screen; and of course, it comes down to this: a super-fine girl chooses to become mediocre and lower-class and to decimate her standards to be popular. I have heard a lot of parents raise some of these points, but uniformly the teen audience is mesmerized by Grease and loves it without anyone of them questioning the reverse-heroine journey that Sandy makes into cheapness. Yeah, we know, Rajjpuut is an old “fuddy-duddy” ain’t he? But the very least that needs to be said is that wise parents talk to their kids about such matters . . . and Rajjpuut doubts very much that very many parents ever took up that teaching moment. Kids have an enormous difficulty battling with integrity vs. popularity. The greater the artist, the greater the art: the greater the responsibility to uplift our young people rather than to suggest capitulation to mediocrity.
12. Music/Record: Cocaine
The most popular version of Cocaine was the Eric Clapton cover version and the song rose to #1 in several countries although only topping out on the Billboard charts in this country at #30 . . . but it was very popular for a long, long time. The lyrics and music are powerful and . . . Cocaine is one of the best rock and roll songs ever to dance to . . . despite Clapton’s claim that the song was “anti-drug,” it was exactly what America and the world didn’t need: a great artist creating an ambiguous song about a drug with no socially redeeming features (even heroin and morphine have serious medical uses). Later Clapton would add the lyrics “that dirty cocaine” to tone down the songs ambiguity. He claims never to have sung it at any of his concerts. IF it really was an anti-drug song with a clear message, why not? The Beatles had glorified drugs, but they tended to hide the message (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds = LSD) sometimes rather cleverly. Today, a new type of music has taken up the banner of glorifying the unseemly: Rap! Rap as a genre not only glorifies drug use and wife-beating but also cop-killing. All such overt glorification of the seedy and evil is just following in the footsteps of those who debased their art as the Beatles and Clapton did.
11: Drama: Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw
Perhaps nothing feels so evil as undisciplined intelligence (think of Charles Manson!). Perhaps nothing IS so evil as disciplined narcissistic intellect. Shaw’s terrific play Pigmalion has so captivated English audiences from 1912 on and, of course, became perhaps the very best Broadway musical of all time My Fair Lady. Shaw's Pigmalion was based upon an old Greek myth about a sculptor who falls in love with the girl he creates out of stone . . . but Shaw goes above and beyond in his tale about a down-and-out cockney working girl who is transformed into a lady by a linguistics expert betting on the matter with a friend.
The problem with Pigmalion, of course is that it was the play that cemented Shaw’s fame in England and America and Germany . . . . and with that fame, Shaw (who lived to be 94 years old) now had an appreciative audience for all his crackpot ideas such as eugenics; and Keynesian Economics long before Keynes thought of it; and progressivism . . . which is, of course, deliberately slow, sneaky Marxism slipping under the radar of otherwise solid societies and economic systems to lead us first to abject socialism and eventually communism. Shaw was the most infamous of the Fabian Socialists and a founder of the Fabian Society. It says volumes that the emblem of the Fabian Society was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You can now see the emblem; and then see it again in the infamous stained glass “Fabian Window” depicting Shaw (with a smithy’s hammer) and others “destroying the world to save it” at this link:
Shaw’s belief in eugenics is lightly touched upon in his none-too-popular play The Doctors’ Dilemma but he was also filmed a good twenty times letting the world know how important eugenics was. One of our other infamous writers, Adolf Hitler, took Shaw at his word, which was:

Later, Adolf Eichmann architect of the Hitler’s “Final Solution” would attempt to defend himself using Shaw’s claim of humanitarian eugenics via Zyklon- B gas in the concentration camps.
10. Music/Record Album: Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles
Despite being in the U.S. Navy at the time, Rajjpuut, like a helluva lot of American kids took his first tokes from a joint while listening to this album. While SP’sLHCB seems very tame by today’s standards, of course, at the time it was a huge departure from anything that had ever been done. The Beatles were the most popular and skilled and powerful message-senders in the mid and late 60’s and they sold out the youth of the world with this unabashed glorification of the drug culture.
Before SP’sLHCB the counter-culture in America was a limited number of crackpots and impotent malcontents . . . after SP’sLHCB, the counter-culture (that became today’s leading political voices of progressivism) had for a time become almost unstoppable. Oh, and by the way, hashish and heroin were offered to some of Rajjpuut’s friends, the same night he took that first toke of marijuana.

7. Book: Untitled, Unpublished Sequel to Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler (sometimes called Mein Kampf II)
This book appeared to being headed for publication in 1929, but unfortunately it never was. “Unfortunately” we say, because perhaps this book would have been read in America and England and perhaps history might have changed for the better. Let’s talk briefly of this book’s predecessor . . . . The powerful evil of Mein Kampf written in 1924 in Landsberg am Lech Prison and published the next year -- despite being a blue print for the Nazi horrors that followed Hitler’s initial rise to power in January was largely ignored inside Germany and throughout the rest of the world. This second Hitler book was even more evil and yet it is virtually unknown. Hitler documented how after succeeding in Europe, the Third Reich would defeat the United States and institute Nazism around the world.
Among other things the world under the Nazis would be Jewless, Gypsyless, free from Slavic peoples, homosexuals, free of retarded folk, free of those with birth defects, free of cripples of all sorts, free of most “intellectuals,” free of Jehova’s Witnesses and many other religions, and eventually free of Non-Aryans period. Originally intended for general release, it was so revealing and so detailed of Der Fuehrer’s future plans that only a few copies were printed before Hitler and Nazi leaders decided to keep it under wraps.
Hitler’s second book is in many ways more important than Mein Kampf. Mein Kampf is cluttered with a great deal of highly unreliable testimony about Hitler's own past which appears to have been invented in some instances out of blue sky. This book is the Bible of Beneficial War. Hitler believed war was the single greatest achievement of mankind . . . a purifying force that had played and would always play the central role in human affairs.
In Hitler’s view modern capitalist world economies that augmented individual freedom had no future – zero, zip, nada. He expounded on Mein Kampf‘s theme that the answer to the economic development of Germany - rich in human potential, but poor in resources - was to seize land and raw materials from other people, so-called "living space" or “elbow room.” Darwin was right, man is no better than animals: the struggle for existence was the only reality for nations and races, and warfare expressed that struggle magnificently.
Much of the sequel detailed even more of what Hitler saw as the worldwide struggle against the Jews. It was the glory of Germany and of Nazism that they had the honor of eradicating the “Jewish Virus.” which he and his party had to lead. One of the main reasons Hitler returns to time and again saying “warfare as both natural and necessary,” is that with the raw naked power of Aryan soldiers they could CLEANSE the world of the evil Jews.
6. Book: Dreams from My Father by Barack Obama (?)
This book, based upon several handfuls of notes and a collection of transcripts from interviews that Barack Obama taped in Africa, first brought this communist son of a communist father to the attention of the Democratic Party. In the 2nd link below Barak (YES, that IS correct spelling) Hussein Obama, Sr. discusses communism, socialism, and 100% taxes in an article written when his son was four years old . . . this is the dream the two of them share.
Obama had little hand in actually writing the book. His neighbor and friend in Chicago (Weather Underground 70’s bomber now grown respectable) Bill Ayers, wrote the book for him based loosely upon the notes and interviews with Ayers’ clever prose giving the book coherence and lucidity. The Communist poet and mentor to Barack, Jr., Frank Marshall is alluded to but not named. The words “communism” and communist are never mentioned . . . but Ayers the communist and Obama the communist know what they’re talking about, even as they gussy it up and hide its essence from the unaware among the rest of us. Without this book, published in 1995, Barack Obama who was an ACORN lawyer in 1995 and 1996 would have had zero political future . . . virtually all the Oval Office evil of the last 30 months never would have happened and the economy would be sailing along in a fine recovery right now.
5. Book: Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler
Most people don’t know that the 13 million estimated concentration camp deaths (6 million of them Jewish) pales in significance to World War II’s total cost . . . . What more can be said about a book so evil it helped launch a war that killed an estimated 55 million people (25 million military and 30 million civilian deaths around the world). Too bad so few people took it seriously!

The Bible of Communism was written by one of history’s greatest losers and malcontents. One has but to document 126 million democides (killing of a nation’s people by the STATE) under communist rule in the 20th Century to justify #4’s inclusion on our list. Still the Mao and Che t-shirts are popular all around the world. How quickly they forget!
3. Book: The Little Red Book by Mao Tsedong
In the case of most of the communist democides, war at least could be blamed for a lot of the loss of life. Not so with Chairman Mao. 65 million Chinese lost their lives because Mao was an ideologue pushing full-fledged communism upon his people despite the absolutely foreseeable cost. The Little Red Book (quotations from Mao about Chinese Communism) is worldwide the second best-seller behind the Bible.
2. Movie: An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore
The great Greek Hippocrates gave the greatest advice ever written: “First do NO HARM.” He was talking about doctors, but he could just as well have been discussing politicians and scientists (or should we say, “pseudo-pscientists?”) or public policy makers of all ilk.
This movie about “Global Warming” won an Oscar and a Nobel Prize for Al Gore. It should have been titled “A Very Convenient Lie” for it not only won those awards but also almost made Gore the world’s first “Green Billionaire” -- if the U.S. Senate had been able to pass the carbon-trading “Cap and Trade” legislation already passed by the House of Representatives, Gore and about sixty of his cronies would have begun raking in a fortune under the auspices of the CCX (Chicago Climate eXchange). Gore would have become a multi-billionaire in a very short time. Instead the very liberal London Times was one of several European newspapers breaking the news about fraudulent science, fudged figures, struggles for political power and money by scientists with an agenda, deliberately leaving out the 350 year history of the Medieval Warm Period in climate computations . . . in a very sordid affair which has come to be known as “Climate Gate.”
Today in Europe, extremist environmentalists get a lot less respect than they do on this side of the Atlantic. Radicals with an agenda beyond real environmentalism pushing Global Warming nonsense in Europe are now called “mean greenies” and “watermelons” (green on the outside but pink or RED on the inside implying that the lies of global warming were just pretexts to pass legislation leading quickly to virtual totalitarian states). In the United States the cost of carbon-trading tax legislation would reach $10 Trillion yearly or 40% of the economy without producing a good or service. Since the entire real economy is worth only $15 Trillion that means that costs of all other goods and services would rise 67% with the profits going to Gore and his cronies ($10 TR/$15 TR = 67%). Nevertheless Gore and his buddy George Soros are still pushing global warming and carbon trading via the United Nations and Soros’ toady Barack Obama has pledged to comply with whatever programs the U.N. comes up with. He has also pledged a) to bankrupt the coal industry and b) to institute energy policies that “would necessarily make the cost of electricity skyrocket” . . . once the Cap and Trade laws failed Obama has sought to institute carbon trading, etc. via presidential fiat within the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). 1. Book: Silent Spring by Rachel Carson
Whatever was said about global warming pseudo-pscientific pshenanigans is true in spades about environmental “research” into products that keep humanity safe . . . such as DDT.
While the verdict is still out on Cap and Trade legislation, Ms. Carson has quietly passed Jack the Ripper, Ted Bundy, the Cuban combo of Castro and Che Guevara, Pol Pot, Genghis Khan, Hitler, Stalin and Chairman Mao to move onto the throne as the all-time #1 mass murderer. She did it with her little science-FICTION book masquerading as real science: Silent Spring. Despite documenting no actual science, Ms. Carson was able to practically create the extremist wing of the environmental movement single-handedly; and to influence the American government and the United Nations to institute a worldwide ban on DDT, the most effective and most harmless insecticide ever created.
By 1972, deaths from just one tropical mosquito-borne disease, malaria, had dropped to 41,400 worldwide. Now and for virtually every single one of the 38 years since the DDT ban took effect malaria deaths stand at roughly 2.1 million yearly, not to mention the even greater number of surviving millions who will now spend every third day of their life suffering the ravages of malaria’s fever. All told, considering all the nine deadly tropical diseases dramatically reduced using DDT which are now running rampant, Ms. Carson has killed about 98 million people.
Rajjpuut has been told about a showman who purportedly would drink DDT as tea and also use it as salad dressing. The safety of the substance is seen in the fact that it was sprayed directly upon U.S. servicemen in World War II; and upon their clothing and tents; and that today many African nations are starting to avoid the DDT ban and use DDT again – their favorite way? They spray their huts inside and out three times yearly.
Despite Ms. Carson’s undocumented claims of testing, no human has ever been proved to have developed cancer from DDT exposure; no animals with fewer than six legs has ever been shown to have been harmed by DDT; and DDT has never been shown to actually make birds’ eggshells thinner: QED. But lack of DDT, definitely kills 2.1 million people a year.

They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival ... and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it. Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn't care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression? Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of illions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama "spread the wealth around." Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Barack Hussien Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government. Legalize 12 million illegal Mexican immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America. But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security. Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America. The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means. Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Barack Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition. With the acts outlined above, Barack Hussien Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.
Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my Columbia University

“Even before he was elected president, Barack Obama warned he would “bankrupt” the coal industry if necessary and purposefully spike Americans’ utility bills in order to force the nation into using less and cleaner forms of energy.
Now, industry partners warn, the White House is making good on that promise by issuing a new rule that will raise some Midwesterners’ electricity bills over 23 percent by 2016 and cost an estimated 1.44 million jobs by 2020.
Earlier this week, the Environmental Protection Agency finalized its new Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, which requires coal companies to dramatically cut sulfur dioxide and nitrogen emissions – which the EPA says travel across state lines and contribute to ozone pollution – by 2014.
The EPA claims the new rule will prevent 34,000 premature deaths, 15,000 heart attacks and 400,000 cases of asthma starting in 2014, which would amount to $280 billion a year in health benefits.
But according to the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, the White House plans, in combination with other new EPA rules, would be “among the most expensive ever imposed by the agency” and deal a devastating blow to both family budgets and the job market.
“The EPA is ignoring the cumulative economic damage new regulations will cause,” said Steve Miller, president and CEO of ACCCE, in a statement. “Our industry needs adequate time to install clean coal technologies to comply with new regulations. Unfortunately, EPA doesn’t seem to care.”
He continued, “We urge EPA to take a realistic look at the enormous impact of all the regulations they are considering and how those regulations affect families and businesses. In a time of high unemployment, we should be pursuing sensible policies that create jobs, not eliminate jobs.”
Miller’s assertions are based on a study conducted for the ACCCE by National Economic Research Associates.
The study details a dramatic leap in the number of coal plants that would need to be retired almost immediately to meet the EPA regulations, a consequent surge in natural gas prices to meet electricity demand, a loss of jobs at four times the pace of new energy job creation and a region-by-region projection of electricity costs through the year 2025.
The projections show the national average retail electricity price jumping 11.5 percent by 2016, with some states, like Kentucky and Tennessee, suffering a 23.5-percent spike.

The EPA contends the rules are needed for health purposes.
“No community should have to bear the burden of another community’s polluters or be powerless to prevent air pollution that leads to asthma, heart attacks and other harmful illnesses,” EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said earlier this week. “These Clean Air Act safeguards will help protect the health of millions of Americans and save lives by preventing smog and soot pollution from traveling hundreds of miles and contaminating the air they breathe.”
But Republicans in Congress are among those blasting what they claim are overly burdensome government regulations.
“This Administration proves time and time again that they [sic] just don’t understand how its actions crush jobs across the country,” Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., said in a statement. “Today’s economically devastating rule is just the latest strike in the Administration’s ongoing war against traditional sources of American energy.”

As WND reported, then-Sen. Barack Obama said in the Democratic primaries that the government should intentionally drive energy bills up through “price signals” in order to force Americans into more environmentally friendly choices.
In a Nov. 9, 2007, interview on Iowa Public Television’s “Iowa Press,” Obama said, “I think it is important for us to send some price signals to change behavior. You know, if electricity goes up, people start becoming more mindful of their electricity bill.”

“In a press release issued this morning, the NAACP condemned 24-hour cable news channel CNN for its recently announced prime time news lineup, calling the lack of diversity in its collection of news anchors a “glaring omission.”
“The NAACP is deeply concerned with the lack of African American journalists in prime time news, both on cable and national news shows,” NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous said in the statement. “We have come to expect this from the likes of Fox News, but not other networks. While we understand that news is now a 24-hour cycle, most Americans get their news from the morning and evening prime time broadcasts.”
Again, says a group whose membership is strictly for one race. I’m the first to laugh and point at mainstream media, but the premise of this publicity stunt is devoid of logic. The NAACP assumes that CNN is barring black journalists as opposed to there not being enough black journalists ready and present for promotion to prime time. Did the NAACP take inventory of all the black people (or white, men and women) in the CNN newsroom?
If the NAACP is so concerned about diversity at the anchor desk, what are they doing to encourage that instead of taking the easy way out and bullying networks to garner themselves attention?
How does that help the black community when the group who claims to hold the patent on black rights advances more tantrums than black Americans?”
