Homan’s Master Class on Immigration Enforcement. Donald Trump’s border czar headed to Minnesota to calm things down while Congress debates funding for DHS!-Posted on The Patriot Post-By Nate Jackson-On January 30, 2026:

Yet another Schumer Shutdown looms at midnight tonight if Senate Democrats don’t stop blocking six appropriations bills. Fortunately, a deal was reached last night to end the Chuck Schumer-led Democrat obstruction. Unfortunately, it puts funding for the Department of Homeland Security on, er, ICE.

DHS funding will be pulled from the larger appropriations package for the Pentagon, the State Department, and other agencies. Instead, DHS funding will remain at current levels for two weeks as the two parties hammer out a compromise.

“This is a bad deal,” warned South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

President Donald Trump disagreed, writing on Truth Social, “Hopefully, both Republicans and Democrats will give a very much needed Bipartisan ‘YES’ Vote.”

The two parties had been steadily working toward passing all of the year’s appropriations bills by tonight’s deadline until the not-so-good-guy Alex Pretti was killed while resisting arrest by Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minneapolis last weekend. That followed the death of Renee Good earlier this month after she disobeyed ICE agents’ orders and accelerated her car with an agent in front of it. Democrats quickly seized on those deaths to demand “reforms” before agreeing to funding.

According to CBS News:

Schumer outlined his caucus’ demands, which he said include ending roving patrols [and] tightening rules governing the use of warrants and requiring ICE coordination with state and local law enforcement. He said Democrats also want to enforce accountability, demanding a uniform code of conduct and accountability to hold federal agents to the same use-of-force policies as state and local law enforcement. Finally, Schumer said Democrats want a “masks off, body cameras on” policy for federal agents.

I’m sure rabid leftists would never do anything to target officers they identified because they were no longer wearing masks. And since when were Democrats anti-mask, anyway? As for the rules on warrants, Democrats aim for ICE to be snowed under a mountain of unnecessary paperwork and thwarted by left-wing judges.

Meanwhile, Border Czar Tom Homan arrived in Minneapolis to make a few needed moves to clean up a mess. He began by meeting with state and local Democrats — Governor Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and others — to look for common ground. (Yeah, I know, but he has to try, and I’ll come back to that.)

On a radio show on Tuesday, President Trump also addressed cooperation, saying he told Walz and Frey, “Just give us your criminals, and if you give us your criminals, it all goes away.”

Yesterday, Homan held a press conference to lay out the strategy.

“I do not want to hear that everything that’s been done here has been perfect. Nothing’s ever perfect. Anything can be improved on, and what we’ve been working on is making this operation safer, more efficient, by the book,” Homan said. “The mission is going to improve because of the changes we’re making internally.”

“We’re not surrendering our mission at all,” Homan argued. “We’re just doing it smarter.”

He also hopes the mission improves with a little “commonsense cooperation” from Minnesota authorities. If that happens, he said, it will allow for the “drawdown on the number of people we have here.” Why does local and state cooperation matter? “I think anybody here with common sense would say it’s safer to arrest a public safety threat in the safety and security of a jail,” Homan explained. “Let ICE officers operate in the safety and security of a jail more than on the street.”

Cooperation shouldn’t stop with authorities. To the yahoos cursing and obstructing agents, Homan said, “You have the right to protest. I’m just asking you to keep it peaceful. But threatening law enforcement officers, engaging in impeding and obstruction and assault is never OK. And there will be zero tolerance. You interfere, impede, assault ICE officers, you will be arrested.”

He also noted that there will be a shift in law enforcement focus. “The prioritization [is] going to be criminal aliens, public safety threats, and national security threats.” That does not mean, however, that others are off the hook. In fact, that led to Homan’s excellent explanation of the total breakdown of the Rule of Law under Joe Biden:

If you’re in the country illegally, you’re never off the table. But you know, prioritization doesn’t mean you forget about it. If the message we send is “You enter this country legally; it’s a crime. Don’t worry about it. You can have your due process show up in court, not show up in court. Get ordered or move. Don’t worry about it. Unless you commit a serious crime, you’re good to go.” If that’s the message we send to the world, you’re never going to fix this problem.

The most vulnerable people in the world will make that dangerous journey like they did under the Joe Biden administration. Over 4,000 aliens died making that journey. And again, a significant increase in sex trafficking. Because when they did that and opened those borders up, saying, “We’re not going to detain you, we’re going to give you free healthcare, we’re going to fly you to the city of your choice, put you in a free hotel room, give you three meals a day, and give you work authorization. We’re just going to bring you in.” And when they did that, they sent a message to the whole world [that] you can come and do this.

And what happened? They overwhelmed the men and women on the Border Patrol. … You don’t think the criminal cartels had a field day with that? They created gaps for the cartels to do their activity. And that’s why you’ve seen the rise in fentanyl overdoses. That’s why you saw the rise in sex trafficking.

Later, he noted that a quarter of a million Americans have died from fentanyl. In other words, this is way bigger than Good and Pretti.

Also, notes PJ Media’s Catherine Salgado, “The Biden administration lost track of over 320,000 illegal alien children and deliberately placed some unaccompanied minors with human traffickers. Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, Travis Wolfe, Nate Baker, Rachel Morin, Larisha Thompson, David Lee, Ivory Smith, and Kayla Hamilton are just a few victims of illegal alien killers.”

All of that violence and death is on the hands of Joe Biden and his administration.

“Why are we here?” Homan rephrased a CNN question. “Four years of an open border,” Homan said. “Let’s not forget — for four years we were told, ‘The border is secure.’ … We all knew it wasn’t.”

Now, back to that reason for cooperation I mentioned above. A viral clip has been making the rounds on social media this week of Barack Obama in a 2010 speech, and as podcaster Joe Rogan marveled, he “sounds so Republican.”

“Ultimately,” Obama said, “our nation, like all nations, has the right and obligation to control its borders and set laws for residency and citizenship. And no matter how decent they are, no matter their reasons, the 11 million who broke these laws should be held accountable.”

How serious was Obama? He gave the 2015 Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service to a guy named Tom Homan for his work securing the border.

Soros-Backed DAs Launch Group To Prosecute Federal Immigration Agents: 'Hunt You Down the Way They Hunted Down Nazis.'  The group's members have released murderers back onto the streets and opposed mandatory minimum sentences for violent crimes!-Posted on The Washington Free Beacon-By Chuck Ross-On January 28, 2026:

A coalition of left-wing district attorneys largely funded by billionaire George Soros launched an initiative to prosecute federal immigration agents in their jurisdictions, setting the stage for a potential showdown with the Trump administration. Many of those same prosecutors oppose mandatory minimum prison sentences for violent crimes and have released murderers back on the streets.

The Project for the Fight Against Federal Overreach (FAFO), led by Philadelphia district attorney Larry Krasner and Minneapolis district attorney Mary Moriarty and launched on Wednesday, calls itself "an effort to hold federal officials accountable when they exceed their lawful authority." The nine-member coalition plans to convene next month "to share strategies for pushing back against the lawless actions of federal forces in states and cities around the country." Under the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, federal agents are generally immune from state prosecution for acts carried out within the scope of their official duties.

Nearly all of the coalition members have received significant campaign donations from Soros as part of the 95-year-old megadonor's support for the criminal justice reform movement, according to a Washington Free Beacon review.

Soros, through his Justice & Public Safety PAC, contributed $1.7 million to Krasner's inaugural campaign in 2017, according to reports. The PAC contributed $627,000 to elect Fairfax, Va., prosecutor Steve Descano, according to a Senate Judiciary Committee report, and more than $200,000 on behalf of Arlington, Va., prosecutor Parisa Dehghani-Tafti, according to campaign filings.

Soros's group contributed $173,000 in June 2025 to the campaign of Norfolk, Va., commonwealth's attorney Ramin Fatehi, according to campaign disclosures, and $400,000 in 2022 to Dallas's John Creuzot, according to news reports. The PAC contributed $652,000 to elect Austin-area district attorney José Garza in 2020 and more than $100,000 to elect Stephanie Morales in Portsmouth, Va., in 2017, according to reports.

Many of the coalition members have faced allegations of being "soft-on-crime" for deferring prosecution for crimes like shoplifting and ending the cash bail system. And most have refused to cooperate in the past with federal immigration agencies in the apprehension of illegal aliens, even those with major violent crime charges.

Descano last year dropped malicious assault charges against Marvin Morales-Ortez, an alleged MS-13 member from El Salvador. Descano's office also refused to comply with an ICE detainer request for Morales-Ortez, who allegedly murdered a man in Reston, Va., a day after his release, according to the House Judiciary Committee.

Others have declined to prosecute individuals who committed crimes against Trump administration officials and allies.

In September, Dehghani-Tafti, elected in 2019, persuaded a judge to limit a search warrant against a woman who threatened White House official Stephen Miller. The court order prohibited prosecutors from sharing evidence with the FBI.

Moriarty, elected in 2022, declined last April to charge a state employee who allegedly vandalized Tesla dealerships in protest of Elon Musk, then the leader of the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency. Moriarty has battled with the administration on other fronts. The Department of Justice in May opened a civil rights investigation into Moriarty over her policy requiring prosecutors to consider "racial identity" when negotiating plea agreements with defendants.

The coalition launches in the wake of the shootings of Alex Pretti and Renée Good in Minneapolis. Border Patrol agents fatally shot Pretti during an altercation on Saturday. An ICE agent fatally shot Good on January 7 after she struck the agent with her vehicle during an anti-ICE protest.

FAFO, an acronym that also means "Fuck Around and Find Out," is receiving organizational support from Defiance.org, an anti-Trump group cofounded by Miles Taylor, a Trump administration Department of Homeland Security official who penned the infamous "Anonymous" op-ed in the New York Times in which he declared himself "part of the Resistance" inside the administration. Taylor on Tuesday claimed he "helped build" DHS but now wishes to "detonate" it.

The idea for FAFO hatched last week after Krasner "flagged that there wasn't anyone coordinating DAs across the country to compare notes on what to do about federal overreach and violations of state law," a spokesman said.

"A group of prosecutors came together organically to get a project off the ground to do exactly that," FAFO spokesman Scott Goodstein told the Free Beacon. Goodstein said the coalition has only received funding so far from small-dollar donors.

The day before the coalition was announced, Krasner pledged to "hunt" down ICE agents who break the law. "If we have to hunt you down the way they hunted down Nazis for decades, we will find your identities. We will find you," Krasner said.

Krasner has perhaps been the face of the Soros-backed criminal justice reform movement. Krasner coasted to victory in 2017, riding a wave of anti-police sentiment stemming from the police shooting of Michael Brown and others.

In 2021, he vacated the life sentence for Jahmir Harris, claiming that Harris's constitutional rights were violated during his 2012 arrest for murder. Harris murdered another man months after his release.

The coalition's strategy to prosecute federal agents is sure to put it in conflict with the Trump administration, which has said federal immigration agents have "absolute" immunity from prosecution at both the federal and state levels. Some legal experts say that while federal agents have immunity from some state laws, it is not "absolute."

Soros funds some of the groups stoking unrest in Minneapolis. Soros's Open Society Foundations have contributed $2 million since 2019 to the Sunrise Movement. Sunrise has encouraged activists to harass ICE agents in the Twin Cities and has released lists of hotels where federal agents are believed to be staying. Rioters smashed windows of one hotel on the hit list this weekend, the Free Beacon reported.

Soros's PAC did not respond to requests for comment.

A Challenge of Constitutional Will.  What is happening in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a challenge to our Constitutional Republic and the will to adhere to the rule of law!-Posted on TheACRU.org-By Allen West-On January 29, 2026:

Insurrection – A violent uprising against an authority or government.

When analyzing the events happening in Minneapolis, the aforementioned definitions are certainly applicable. The Marxist left had no issue with referring to the events of January 6, 2021, as an insurrection, although no one had any weapons. It was certainly not a prudent action, but it was not planned, deliberate, or intentional. Matter of fact, I find it interesting the reaction of the left to the shooting death of Ashli Babbitt, as opposed to the same with Renee Good and Alex Pretti. We have confirmed knowledge that Good and Pretti were part of a Signal anti-ICE group whose purpose is to obstruct, impede, and interfere with lawful law enforcement operations. I am a firm believer in the Second Amendment, but when Alex Pretti, who does have a constitutional right to carry a firearm, unlawfully seeks to impede a federal law enforcement operation to detain a criminal illegal immigrant, he broke the law. And, was armed in breaking the law, not carrying, but in obstructing federal officers carrying out their constitutional duty.

I do find it hypocritical and laughable that leftists are all of a sudden advocates for the Second Amendment. Of course, this is all about their absurd situational ethics. The Second Amendment is OK when they can leverage it, but bad otherwise.

What is happening in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a challenge to our Constitutional Republic and the will to adhere to the rule of law. We are watching a very well-organized and funded insurgency that is based upon operational zones and has a dedicated command and control system utilizing encrypted communications on Signal. When I saw that they are even using a military reporting system, SALUTE (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment), to track and report ICE operations and movements, I realized, yes, this is a classic insurgency operation. This is no different from what I encountered in Iraq and Afghanistan, where we would see insurgents at our front gate who would immediately use their cell phones as our convoys would depart.

And we need to recognize that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s threat to use the State National Guard would assuredly be viewed as an insurrection. Walz would be calling up uniformed forces to stand against the constitutional authority of the federal government, along with Title 18 US Code 1325. I was truly appalled to see a report, including video, of Minnesota National Guard troops feeding anti-ICE insurgents. That is aiding and abetting, providing material support and comfort to domestic terrorists. That is what they are. Hmm, has anyone seen the Seditious Six ranting about following that illegal order? Senator Mark Kelly?

What is disconcerting about this is that during the Biden administration, they sought to sue, block, and threaten States that would utilize their National Guard for border security enforcement. Texas was one of the most targeted. Constitutionally, Texas had every right to do so under Article I, Section 10, Clause 3. However, calling up the National Guard to feed domestic terrorists who are obstructing the enforcement of federal law, threatening and attacking them, well, that is just fine.

And this deceitful lie about law enforcement cooperating with ICE is insidious. Here are not one, but twoletters from the Minnesota Attorney General, Keith Ellison, directly threatening duly elected constitutional Sheriffs, law enforcement officers, and their County Attorneys for working with ICE. The letter clearly states that it is against Minnesota law to cooperate, coordinate, or work with ICE, especially under the 287(g) program.

The ACRU Defender’s Initiative was formed to support, encourage, and highlight law enforcement agencies that are unconstitutionally being assailed by leftist AGs and the ACLU over enforcing the law.

And now we have the Marxists on Capitol Hill announcing that they will enact a government shutdown in order to defund ICE. Many of them say that ICE does not have a mission. Of course, they do, but it is a mission that does not align with the ideological agenda of the Marxist left in America. And I shall reiterate, ICE would not be in neighborhoods and communities if leftists would disavow their unconstitutional and unlawful claims of being sanctuaries for criminal illegal immigrants. Just follow the law.

The Trump administration cannot withdraw from Minneapolis, as some people seem to want. If they do so, the message they send to the Marxist insurgency is that their will is stronger than ours to support and defend our Constitution and the authority of the rule of law. We would then be inviting lawlessness all across our Republic, in essence, bringing about the collapse of our Constitutional Republic. That is the goal of the Marxist leftists. After all, it was Barack Hussein Obama who said that we were “five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America” back in 2007. Marxists can only achieve this end by the means of domestic violence, their playbook, and their belief that the ends justify their means.

Military strategist Carl von Clausewitz stated, “War, therefore, is an act of violence to compel our enemy to do our will.” We have witnessed an increase of some 8,000% of violence against ICE federal law enforcement officers. What we are experiencing in Minneapolis is a reminder to us of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. Vladimir Lenin, one of its leaders, once quipped about those “useful idiots” who would enable the spread of Marxism and communism into the West. This is not some spontaneous “astroturf” movement; it is a dedicated insurgency with the goal of undermining the authority of our Constitution and eroding the foundation of our Nation. It is a challenge to our Constitutional will. And in this battle, failure is not an option.
