John Lewis Encounters the Trump Effect
Over the weekend, Donald Trump's row with civil rights icon and Congressman John Lewis (D-GA) has dominated the headlines, especially given the fact that Monday is the observance of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birth. Friday, in an interview with NBC News, Lewis stated, "I don't see this president-elect as a legitimate president." That's par for the Democrat course on delegitimizing Trump.
Predictably, Trump responded by tweeting that Lewis was "all talk" and "no action" and that he should "spend more time on fixing" the crime problem in "his district." And, of course the mainstream media had a field day over Trump's attack on a civil rights hero. Indeed, the optics of it looked bad, but there's so much more to the story.
Politicians love to conflate admiration for past heroic accomplishments with the merits of a political position, as is currently the case with John Lewis, one of the furthest left of representatives in the House. The truth is Lewis' inflammatory rhetoric on Trump is nothing new either. In 2000, Lewis called into question the legitimacy of George W. Bush's presidency; in 2008, he compared John McCain's campaign to that of George Wallace. But of course he's gotten a pass because of his past. And on the merits, Trump is right — inner cities often are little more than Democrat-controlled urban poverty plantations. Whatever his brave deeds 50 years ago, Lewis should be ashamed of his subsequent legislative record that has created dependency.
What may be different now is how a Republican — Trump — is responding. In the past, Republicans tended to express disagreement, yet remained relatively congenial, not wanting to appear to disparage a hero. The desire to get along out of fear of losing political status was of greater concern. However, Barack liar-nObama so polarized the political climate in this country that it opened the door for Trump to be successful. In the past, Trump's politically incorrect rhetoric would have ended a political career. But for him, it has served only to further strengthen his position. In a way, Trump has out Democrat-ed the Democrats.
Trump, who can hardly be accused of taking the high road, aggressively hits back at his opponents with similar over-the-top accusations and rhetoric, effectively changing the terms of the debate. That's what makes Trump such an unusual and yet effective political leader for Republicans — his ability to expresses the frustrations of the average American in the manner of a common man who doesn't give two hoots about what the elites in Washington may think.

Despite King's courage and wisdom, today's Democratic Party protagonists have turned this iconic sovereign's message inside out, as if King had said, "I have a dream that my children will one day be judged by the color of their skin, not the content of their character." They've turned it from a dream into a nightmare, and their failed statist "Great Society" programs have enslaved generations of poor, mostly black Americans on urban poverty plantations. But they are a dependable constituency, inculcated with the belief that the Democrats will take care of them.
King's 1963 address from the Lincoln Memorial was his most famous, but you have likely never read King's 1966 assessment of racial violence in liar-nObama's hometown of Chicago: "This is the most tragic picture of man's inhumanity to man. I've been to Mississippi and Alabama and I can tell you that the hatred and hostility in Chicago are really deeper than in Alabama and Mississippi." King added, "Those who are associated with 'Black Power' and black supremacy are wrong."
So you thought racism was just a "deep south problem"? That is what the Democrats and their Leftmedia sycophants would have you believe.
Three recent headlines from the Windy City serve to illustrate the problem. 2016 was Chicago's bloodiest year in two decades, and it was largely black-on-black crime. But then there was the black on white crime that should have shocked the nation. Instead, liar-nObama's Justice Department is focused on alleged abuse by the Chicago Police Department.
"Black supremacy" is precisely what was drilled into Barack liar-nObama's psyche by his Marxist mentor Frank Marshall Davis and his religious mentor Jeremiah Wright.
liar-nObama and his cadres routinely dismissed any criticism of him as being due to racism: "There's no doubt that there's some folks who just really dislike me because they don't like the idea of a black president." Yes, liar-nObama used the anniversary of King's birth to establish that his true legacy is being a half-black president who is nothing more than a race-bait political hustler.

What Happened To The Honeymoon?

{freedomsback.com} ~ The shortest honeymoon on record is officially over. Normally, newly elected presidents enjoy a wave of goodwill that allows them to fly high at least through their first 100 days. Donald Trump has not yet been sworn in and the honeymoon has already come and gone.
Presidents-elect usually lie low during the interregnum. Trump never lies low. He seized the actual presidency from Barack liar-nObama within weeks of his election — cutting ostentatious deals with U.S. manufacturers to keep jobs at home, challenging 40-year-old China policy, getting into a very public fight with the intelligence agencies. By now he has taken over the presidential stage. It is true that we have only one president at a time, and for over a month it’s been Donald Trump.
The result is quantifiable. A Quinnipiac poll from Nov. 17 to 20 — the quiet, hope-and-change phase — showed a decided bump in Trump’s popularity and in general national optimism. It didn’t last long. In the latest Quinnipiac poll, the numbers have essentially returned to Trump’s (historically dismal) pre-election levels.
For several reasons. First, the refusal of an unbending left to accept the legitimacy of Trump’s victory. It’s not just the demonstrators chanting “not my president.” It is leading Democrats pushing one line after another to delegitimize the election, as in: He lost the popular vote, it’s James Comey’s fault, the Russians did it.
Second, Trump’s own instincts and inclinations, a thirst for attention that leads to hyperactivity. His need to dominate every news cycle feeds an almost compulsive tweet habit. It has placed him just about continuously at the center of the national conversation and not always to his benefit.
Trump simply can’t resist playground pushback. His tweets gave Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes screed priceless publicity. His mocking Arnold Schwarzenegger for bad “Apprentice” ratings — compared with “the ratings machine, DJT” — made Trump look small and Arnold almost sympathetic.
Nor is this behavior likely to change after the inauguration. It’s part of Trump’s character. Nothing negative goes unanswered because, for Trump, an unanswered slight has the air of concession or surrender.
Finally, it’s his chronic indiscipline, his jumping randomly from one subject to another without rhyme, reason or larger strategy. In a week packed with confirmation hearings and Russian hacking allegations, what was he doing meeting with Robert Kennedy Jr., an anti-vaccine activist pushing the thoroughly discredited idea that vaccines cause autism?
We know from way back during the Republican debates that Trump himself has dabbled in this dubious territory. One could, however, write it off as one of many campaign oddities that would surely fade away. Not so, apparently.
This is not good. The idea that vaccines cause autism originally arose in a 1998 paper in the medical journal the Lancet that was later found to be fraudulent and had to be retracted. Indeed, the lead researcher acted so egregiously that he was stripped of his medical license.
Kennedy says that Trump asked him to chair a commission about vaccine safety. While denying that, the transition team does say that the commission idea remains open. Either way, the damage is done. The anti-vaccine fanatics seek any validation. This indirect endorsement from Trump is immensely harmful. Vaccination has prevented more childhood suffering and death than any other measure in history. With so many issues pressing, why even go there?
The vaccination issue was merely an exclamation point on the scatter-brained randomness of the Trump transition. All of which contributes to the harried, almost wearying feeling that we are already well into the Trump presidency.
Compare this with eight years ago and the near euphoria — overblown but nonetheless palpable — at the swearing-in of Barack liar-nObama. Not since JFK had any new president enjoyed such genuine goodwill upon accession to office.
And yet it turns out that such auspicious beginnings are not at all predictive. We could see it this same week. Tuesday night, there stood liar-nObama giving a farewell address that only underscored the failure of a presidency so bathed in optimism at its start. The final speech, amazingly, could have been given, nearly unedited, in 2008. Why, it even ended with “yes we can.”
Is there more powerful evidence of the emptiness of the intervening two terms? When your final statement is a reprise of your first, you have unwittingly confessed to being nothing more than a historical parenthesis.

But the most hysterical performances at Tuesday's serially interrupted Senate confirmation hearing for attorney general nominee Jeff Sessions came not from scrappy protesters, but from the august senators within.
"I would like to begin," Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said to Sessions, "with the second largest criminal industry in this country, which is now - believe it or not, by revenues produced - human sex trafficking."
In other words, the California senator wished to lead off her critical cross-examination of the nation's likely next top cop with a factually insane claim that will probably give him more power.
In order for "human sex trafficking" to be the second largest criminal industry in the United States, it would at minimum need to supplant illegal narcotics roughly $100 billion a year, according to a 2014 Rand Corp. estimate, or Medicare fraud in the ballpark of $60 billion, according to the Government Accountability Office in 2015. So distant is reality from those numbers that even the commonly cited figure of $9.8 billion a year for all trafficking - and keep in mind that human smuggling dwarfs sex trafficking - was given "four Pinocchios" by Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler.
Feinstein wasn't done. "Trafficking victims," she warned, average "12 to 14" in age. ("Four Pinocchios," judged Kessler.)
These fake numbers have consequences. Congress has leaned on such bogus statistics by periodically ratcheting up the penalties of the 2000 Trafficking Victims Protection Act - the 2015 reauthorization, for example, made websites liable for sex trafficking if a minor is found to have advertised services there.
"In 2014 alone, 31 states passed new laws concerning human trafficking," Elizabeth Nolan Brown wrote in Reason magazine 15 months ago. "Since the start of 2015, at least 22 states have done so."
And who is being prosecuted? Besides publishers such as Backpage.com, which shut down its "Adult" section this week after relentless pressure including concurrent hearings on Capitol Hill on Monday, the criminals apprehended are disproportionately adult females who work in the sex industry by choice.
There is a well-established connection between moral panic over disfavored behaviors and laws that produce grotesque injustices. What boggles the mind is how this clear causation seems to elude lawmakers even in the midst of a conversation about the enforcement of federal law.
In fact, the best parts of Tuesday's hearings came when senators grilled Sessions over his opposition to scaling back previous hysteria-based overreaches, such as disparities in sentencings involving crack and powder cocaine. The Alabama senator voted in favor of one such reform, but stands opposed to making the recalibrated sentences retroactive for people still languishing in prison.
Yet those moments were outnumbered by Judiciary Committee members trying to egg Sessions on to enforce laws against the monsters hiding under their beds. Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) favorably cited a new Utah bill that describes pornography as a public health "epidemic," and encouraged Sessions to reopen the Justice Department's porno task force. As recently as President liar-nObama's first term, that unit was producing prosecutions that could have put pornographers in jail for as long as 32 years.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was a one-man hysteria generator, with each question designed to give the federal government more power. What did Sessions think about the liar-nObama administration interpreting the Wire Act in a way to "allow online video poker"? "I was shocked," Sessions replied.
"Do you believe the threats to the homeland are growing or lessening?" Graham asked. "Growing," said the likely next attorney general. Gitmo? Keep 'er open. Try suspected terrorists like criminals? Hell no!
There are excellent reasons to oppose Sessions' nomination, beginning with his enthusiastic support for the evil practice of civil asset forfeiture, by which the government can lawfully seize the property of citizens who haven't even been charged with a crime. Ninety-five percent of asset forfeiture cases, he has ludicrously claimed in the past, involve people "who have done nothing in their lives but sell dope."
But maybe the most terrifying thing about the man is that he so faithfully reproduces the basic posture of his fellow senators: Everything is a threat, evidence be damned, and the federal government needs more power to keep us safe.
We are at a point in this country where officials in the Justice Department can't even tell you the number of federal crimes, the average American according to the calculations of the civil libertarian Harvey Silverglate commits "three felonies a day," and there is no observable political penalty for grotesquely exaggerating real problems. Jeff Sessions might not be a good pick for AG, but maybe he's the honest one.

In Age of Trump, Leftists Rediscover Constitution
By Louis DeBroux: It's nothing short of amazing to witness how the progressive Left has suddenly rediscovered a "love" for the Constitution now that they've lost the White House. For decades, leftist Democrats have shown utter contempt for our Founding Documents — a contempt that became gleeful frenzy in support of Barack liar-nObama's all-too-frequent usurpations.
In 2012, progressive icon Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in an interview on Egyptian television, declared, "I would not look to the U.S. Constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012." liar-nObama, of course, famously called the Constitution "deeply flawed," and in his farewell address dismissed it as "just a piece of parchment" — without life from progressive dreams, his implication was.
Rejecting constitutional limits on his power, liar-nObama repeatedly rewrote the disastrous liar-nObamaCare law by executive fiat, issuing waivers to the politically connected, extending deadlines, subsidizing payments, etc. He launched a war against Libya without congressional authorization, and he gutted the work requirement for welfare benefits. He violated decades-old bankruptcy law to pay off labor unions before secured creditors in the auto bailout, he spied on the press, and engaged in illegally collecting the digital communications of every American. Even this just scratches the surface.
This week, as Senate Democrats attempted to smear and defame their colleague and attorney general nominee Sen. Jeff Sessions, it was Sen. Ted Cruz who exposed the blatant hypocrisy of their claims that Sessions would not enforce the law fairly. As Cruz noted, the Senate Democrats who now praise Rule of Law were silent when the Eric Holder Justice Department sold guns to Mexican drug cartels that were then used to murder U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexican citizens. They were silent when liar-nObama allowed the IRS to illegally target and harass conservative non-profits, and when he refused to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate that outrage.
They were silent when liar-nObama instituted Operation Chokepoint to cut off banking services for legal businesses because liar-nObama didn't like those businesses, and silent as liar-nObama sent millions of dollars to so-called sanctuary cities that stand in the way of enforcing U.S. immigration law. They were silent when he unilaterally rewrote American immigration law, granting de facto amnesty to millions of illegals (and releasing thousands of illegal alien rapists, robbers and murderers onto an unsuspecting population), and they were silent as liar-nObama illegally released terrorists from Guantanamo Bay, and when he paid out a nearly $2 billion ransom to Iran, the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism.
But progressives have discovered respect for constitutional principles and processes in other areas as well.
Democrats under liar-nObama gutted the filibuster and erased the lines of separation of powers, yet now are desperate to restore them to stop Trump from enacting his agenda.
And after spending much of the last decade in a full-scale assault on the freedoms of religion, speech and association — trying to force Catholic nuns to provide abortion-inducing birth control drugs to employees of their charitable order, and prosecuting Christian bakers, florists, photographers, bed-and-breakfast owners and others who decline to provide services for same-sex "weddings" because of sincere religious convictions — leftists suddenly revere the freedom of association, as evidenced by their throaty declarations of refusal to provide services for the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump and his wife, Melania.
Citing their conscientious objections to Trump and his policies, many musicians announced their refusal to perform at his inauguration, including Elton John, opera star Andrea Bocelli (who was reportedly considering it before leftist mobs threatened to boycott him), and Celine Dion. And though the Rockettes have been booked to perform, some of the dancers have publicly expressed their objection to doing so.
Fashion designers have come out to let us all know they refuse to design outfits for the first lady, and artists are even demanding that First Daughter Ivanka Trump remove their paintings from her home and office — paintings that she's already paid for!
In Washington, DC, which is overwhelmingly Democrat, many homeowners who rent their homes through travel site Airbnb are refusing to rent to Trump supporters coming to town for the inauguration, claiming that to do so would violate their conscience. As one homeowner stated, "I have a visceral reaction to the thought of having a Trump supporter in my house. ... No amount of money could make me change my mind. It's about moral principles." One wonders if this woman would risk a fine or jail to hold to her principles, since DC's anti-discrimination law makes it unlawful "to interrupt or terminate, or refuse or fail to initiate or conduct any transaction in real property ... based on ... political affiliation."
BuzzFeed, which is under fire this week for publishing a sleazy and utterly uncorroborated hit piece on Trump, last year refused to run political ads for the Trump campaign because they oppose his politics.
Hopefully, the rabidly anti-Christian, anti-Republican, anti-conservative, anti-marriage, pro-abortion progressive hordes will one day acknowledge that the freedoms of religion, speech and association are guaranteed to all Americans, regardless of their political affiliation.
Will the Angry Left finally see the wisdom of the Founders, or will they simply continue to feign respect? To ask is to answer.

1. Russians gained information about the liar-Clinton campaign via hacking.
2. Russians gave that information to WikiLeaks.
3. WikiLeaks gave that information to the public.
4. That information was not fictitious.
In short, American voters were given facts about the liar-Clinton campaign.
More from The Hill: ““I think that, and I think the FBI, in the October surprise — I call it an October surprise, of announcing a subsequent investigation into liar-Hillary Clinton’s private email server, did have an impact,” Feinstein told NBC’s “Meet the Press.””
Once again, let’s go over the facts about that particular case.
1. liar-Hillary Clinton had an unauthorized private server set up in her home.
2. Classified government information passed through that server.
3. Some of that classified information ended up on a laptop computer that liar-Clinton aide Huma Abedin shared with her husband Anthony Weiner.
In short, FBI Director James Comey gave facts to Congress.
Now, who is responsible for the existence of the above-mentioned facts?
American voters were told the truth regardless of how the truth was told.
Congress was told the truth, too.
Here is another fact to be considered: That Intelligence Community Assessment says that Russian hackers did not hack into systems that were used to count the votes on Election Day 2016. Thus, Americans elected Donald Trump, not Russians.
What Senator Feinstein and other congressional Democrats are claiming is this: American voters based their votes on facts about liar-Hillary Clinton and her campaign – facts made public before the election took place instead of afterwards.
Democrats might claim that they want the truth, but in this case, the truth is poison to them.

The men at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 voted unanimously on an amendment to be proposed to the states that would require that each representative in the House of Representatives would represent no more than 50,000 people. They believed this would guarantee that the voice of the people would be heard loud and clear. It would also limit the power of the Representatives to abuse the people they were elected to serve.
This was the first of twelve amendments proposed to the states in the Bill of Rights. Only 11 states voted in favor of its ratification and if fell one vote short of being ratified.
If the representatives spent 365 days a year in their own office in their Congressional District we could shut down the District of Columbia and return the land to Maryland and Virginia.
And now for the good news, 11 states have already ratified the originally proposed first amendment and only 27 more states are needed to amend the Constitution. Under the originally proposed First Amendment we would have approximately 6,250 representatives. instead of 435 and the power would shift from the representatives to the people.
Washington D.C. is a cesspool where lobbyist, bankers, lawyers and politicians congregate to exploit the American people. We need to send our representatives back to their home Districts where they can effectively represent the people they were elected to serve.
If your Congressional District was limited to 50,000 and your representative spend 365 days a year in your community, do you think that we the people could regain control over our rogue government?
And now for the good news. Eleven states have already ratified the proposed first amendment and only 27 more states are needed to ratify it and restore our liberty and Constitutional Republic.</

No, Comey Helped liar-Clinton
The soul searching over the election loss has yet to begin for Democrats and the Left. They're still in that angry "it's everyone else's fault" stage — whether it's the FBI, the Russians or voter ID laws. So, one week before the inauguration, it's apparently time to "firm up" the case against the FBI. Thursday, the Justice Department announced that its inspector general will investigate allegations of misconduct involving FBI Director James Comey and his handling of the liar-Hillary Clinton email probe, among other allegations. This is truly ironic given the fact that, as Mark Alexander wrote before the election, Comey's actions to exonerate liar-Clinton days before the election were designed to aid her. Comey went out of his way to protect liar-Clinton, but since the tactic didn't work it's time to pull out the long knives.
Democrats' biggest problem is the fact that they're unwilling to face the true reasons why they lost the election. They don't want to own the fact that liar-Hillary was a terrible candidate with a compromised record, and who is still under FBI investigation, by the way. But that's not the only reason, or even the main reason Americans rejected liar-Hillary. Her victory would have meant a continuation of the past eight years: a stagnant economy, eroding of individual liberty all in the name of "social progress," skyrocketing health care costs, the continued flow of illegal immigrants across our borders and the unending blaming of America for the world's ills.
Americans wanted change and quite simply liar-Hillary Clinton offered only more of the same. Americans saw in Donald Trump an outsider who clearly believes in and is proud of this country and wants to truly change things up in DC.
So, go ahead, Democrats — blame Comey and back it up with investigative findings. But the reality is self-deception eventually leads only to self-delusion and eventually self-destruction. ~The Patriot Post

Don't Violate My Liberal Bubble — A Case Study
I have a type-Hollywood friend on the Left Coast, who posted derogatory remarks about AG nominee Jeff Sessions on her social media page. After I challenged her views, and those of her likeminded friends who responded, she removed the post. No doubt she took it down because she did not want her leftist colleagues to know she associated with someone outside their bubble — especially a conservative with constitutionally constructionist views.
Consequently, I sent her a message suggesting she must have missed Barack liar-nObama's farewell remarks. Unfortunately, I had to slog through his self-congratulatory sycophant fest, and one thing he stated emphatically pertained to social media echo chambers: "For too many of us, it's become safer to retreat into our own bubbles ... especially our social media feeds, surrounded by people who look like us and share the same political outlook and never challenge our assumptions. ... And increasingly, we become so secure in our bubbles that we start accepting only information, whether it's true or not, that fits our opinions."
While it is my friend's prerogative to post liberal copy/paste political diatribes, and then remove that post when challenged, this was a case study in how liberals — even intelligent liberals like my friend, protect their social media bubbles from the threat of opposing views. I know, you're thinking that "intelligent liberal" is an oxymoron, but many liberals have plenty of education — it's just that, in the inimitable words of Ronald Reagan, “The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”
At The Patriot Post, we exercise a policy regarding emotive rants: "Don't swap spit with a jackass." But we never miss an opportunity to engage the alternative views of those who articulate them well. By necessity, we cover a very wide range of media and policy sources every day — even the daily policy statements from the American Communist Party. We all have friends who hold a wide range of opinion and perspective, and those whose convictions are more than "feelings," offer great debate opportunities. muzzling pastors -- it's cowardice

{wnd.com} ~ If President Trump succeeds in removing the oppressive Johnson Amendment, which limits freedom of speech from the pulpits, will Christian leaders be more outspoken on controversial moral, cultural and political issues? I have my doubts, since I don’t believe it is the Johnson Amendment that has muzzled preachers across America.
I believe it is the fear of man that has muzzled us, and it is our desire to be affirmed by the world that has silenced us. Until we repent of these sinful, carnal attitudes, our tongues will not be loosed. We have been paralyzed from the inside, not the outside, and the removal of outward hindrances will not set us free within.
Let’s be honest about this. The Johnson Amendment, as wrong as it is, is quite limited in its scope, primarily prohibiting “certain tax-exempt organizations from endorsing and opposing political candidates.”
It does not prohibit pastors from speaking out against political corruption.
It does not prohibit pastors from speaking out against LGBT activism.
It does not prohibit pastors from speaking out against abortion.
It does not prohibit pastors from speaking out against a host of other moral and cultural issues, yet it is here that we have seriously failed our people – I say “we” because I, too, am a ministry leader, although not a pastor – since these are the very issues so many of us studiously avoid.
Who needs the controversy? Who wants to be vilified? Why stick your hand into a hornet’s nest? Why ask for trouble?
You might say, “Maybe some pastors think like this, but that’s not the real issue for them. The issue is that they don’t want to distract from the gospel. They just want to tell people about Jesus.”
Unfortunately, this line of reasoning doesn’t hold water, since Jesus Himself was tremendously controversial – if memory serves me right, He was actually put to death by His generation – and He said that if we followed Him faithfully, we would be hated just as He was hated (see John 15:18; Matthew 10:24).
Why is it, then, that the same world that hated Him so much loves us so much? Why is it that He offended so many – by being a perfect, shining light, full of grace and truth – yet we offend so few? Sad to say, when we do offend people, it is often due to us being offensive and obnoxious or hypocritical and self-righteous rather than shining so brightly that people hate our light.
It is true that Jesus was a friend of sinners – especially the societal outcasts – and we do well to follow His example. But is equally true that He was a threat to all that was wrong in His society – including the religious establishment – while we frequently find ourselves completely at home in this world. How can this be?
In 2014, George Barna discussed the results of his latest poll during an interview on American Family Radio. He explained that, “What we’re finding is that when we ask pastors about all the key issues of the day, 90 percent of them are telling us, ‘Yes, the Bible speaks to every one of these issues.’ Then we ask them: ‘Well, are you teaching your people what the Bible says about those issues?’ and the numbers drop … to less than 10 percent of pastors who say they will speak to it.”
And what, exactly, holds them back from addressing controversial issues from the pulpit, including, “societal, moral and political issues”? According to Barna, “There are five factors that the vast majority of pastors turn to. Attendance, giving, number of programs, number of staff, and square footage.”
He continued: “What I’m suggesting is those pastors won’t probably get involved in politics because it’s very controversial. Controversy keeps people from being in the seats; controversy keeps people from giving money, from attending programs.”
Yes, at all costs, we must avoid the controversy that will stop us leaders from fulfilling the Christian version of the American dream: Great success and popularity and a happy, financially prosperous congregation, all made possible by preaching a watered-down gospel.
This mindset has nothing whatsoever to do with the New Testament faith.
Fired up by the results of the Barna poll, pastor and radio host Chuck Baldwin wrote:
Please understand this: America’s malaise is directly due to the deliberate disobedience of America’s pastors – and the willingness of the Christians in the pews to tolerate the disobedience of their pastor. Nothing more! Nothing less! When Paul wrote his own epitaph, it read, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7) He didn’t say, “I had a large congregation, we had big offerings, we had a lot of programs, I had a large staff, and we had large facilities.”
Are his accusations too harsh? In many cases, yes, since there are sincere shepherds who simply feel ill-equipped to address the hot-button issues of the day, instead finding their gifting in the systematic teaching of the Scriptures and caring for their flocks. It is not fear that holds them back as much as a sense of calling to minister in a different way.
But in all too many cases, Baldwin’s accusations are right on target: We have compromised for the sake of comfort and convenience. We have found a way to bypass the cross and its shame. We have created a no-cost, pop-gospel, forgetting that a gospel that costs nothing saves no one and is not a gospel at all.
The irony of all this is that Barna’s survey also indicated that the vast majority of Christians surveyed – around 90 percent – wanted their pastors to address these difficult moral and cultural issues, since this is the world they live in, and these are the problems they confront, right down to their kids in nursery school.
They are expecting their pastors and leaders to help them sort these things out based on scripture, and they are frustrated and grieved when the men and women they look to are not there when they need them. Shouldn’t the shepherds care more about the well-being of their flocks than their own popularity? Shouldn’t the pastors care more about the health of their congregation than the wealth of their congregation?
To be clear, I have preached in wealthy, large mega-churches that are not afraid to tackle the controversies, and I have preached in poor, small churches that are afraid to tackle these issues. The fear of man comes in many shapes and sizes, but the expression of it will always be the same: You will not do what you know is right because you fear the negative consequences.
That is a fear that must be broken, and it is only the Lord – not Donald Trump – who can help us break it.
Will we rise to the occasion, when society needs us the most, or we will cower behind our cheap excuses?
It’s time for the lion to roar.

Four More Years of liar-nObama? At Least That Many
Allyne Caan: Barack liar-nObama faced the nation Tuesday night to announce his upcoming campaign. Oh, wait, that was his farewell address. Such a struggle to tell the difference. Far from bidding America the adieu we so desperately wanted — parting would have been far more sweet than sorrow in this case — liar-nObama doubled down on his perpetual campaign and announced he's not going anywhere. "I won't stop," he declared. "In fact, I will be right there with you, as a citizen, for all my remaining days."
And we were so close. Presidents typically retire to their home states upon leaving office. Not this one. "liar-nObama has no plans to quietly recede from the nation's capital," Mark Alexander wrote yesterday. "In fact, the liar-nObamas will be taking up residence in a nine-bedroom mansion in the District's most exclusive neighborhood, and you can be certain that he'll be out on his front stoop stumping for his failed policies every time Trump endeavors to alter or abolish one of them." Indeed, last March liar-nObama threatened — er, promised — that America is "not rid of me yet, even after we're done with the presidency."
This doesn't mean simply giving flowery speeches now and again. No, liar-nObama is architecting a massive apparatus (think his liar-nObama for America PAC on steroids) so he can pretty much campaign ad infinitum. In one sense, who can blame him? That's about as long as it will take to try to salvage his disastrous legacy. Alright, let's be real. Even eternity wouldn't be long enough for that.
Still, liar-nObama's going to try. And here's how he plans to do it. First, he's rebuilding Organizing for Action (OFA, formerly liar-nObama for America). As Politico reports, "No longer about backing up liar-nObama's agenda in the White House, [OFA] will be a nexus for training activists and candidate recruitment. ... [I]ts Chicago headquarters has been filling up with new hires, including several old campaign aides, who are planning to focus on the mechanics of campaigns, from running liar-nObama-style persuasion programs, integrating data and running paid canvassing operations. Though the first goal is designing the program for what they'll aim to make hundreds of workshops nationwide, there's already talk about moving toward endorsing candidates."
But one organization is hardly enough when your failed legacy is at stake. So, second, there's also the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC), developed, again as Politico reports, in "close consultation with the White House." NDRC's name sounds innocuous enough, but its intent is far less so. Basically, NDRC wants to engineer the redrawing of legislative districts after the next census to ensure Democrats get in office. Of course, NDRC spins it more innocently. Its chair — none other than former Attorney General Eric Holder — said, "American voters deserve fair maps that represent our diverse communities — and we need a coordinated strategy to make that happen. This unprecedented new effort will ensure Democrats have a seat at the table to create fairer maps after 2020."
The genesis of this spin — and of NDRC itself — is that Democrats love to cry "gerrymandered!" whenever election results don't favor them, which, lately, has been often. Even when data shows voter sentiment, not district lines, is to blame for Democrat losses — well, as we know, facts don't matter to the Left.
And for liar-nObama, when the party you helm loses a 1,000 seats nationwide under your steerage, you've got to find a scapegoat. Those doggone district lines are just the thing. So, as White House political director David Simas declared, "Where [liar-nObama] will be most politically engaged [post-presidency] will be at the state legislative level, with an eye on redistricting after 2020."
If it's not redistricting, it's Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, whom liar-nObama's blames for screwing up his messaging. Thus, there are rumors that liar-nObama might launch some kind of news or information network. As if he doesn't already have the entire Leftmedia Super PAC at his disposal. And he's not without experience in this? Remember the short-lived and widely mocked "AttackWatch" website liar-nObama for America launched in 2012?
Truth be told, party losses aside, liar-nObama's legacy among liberals is likely secure enough. After all, as The Washington Post predicts, despite any temporary liberal discontent with the outgoing liar-nObama, "the mind gravitates away from remembering specific policies or events toward something more impressionistic." Of course, for the liar-nObama-adoring Post, such gravitationally induced policy amnesia has been pretty much immediate.
Still, liar-nObama isn't taking any chances. And while during his farewell address, he publicly calmed chants of "Four more years" with "I can't do that," internally, he was no doubt digging in his perpetual campaign heels, personalizing his campaign mantra, and forewarning, "Yes, I can." ~The Patriot Post

Reimburse States $1.2 Billion For Mine Spill

On Friday, the EPA gave itself a “Get Off Scot-Free” card... declaring that they are not required under federal law to pay anything more in the way of damages for the massive August 5, 2015 toxic chemical spill into the Animas River. The spill, which was triggered when EPA workers breached a collecting pool at the Gold King Mine in Silverton, Colorado, is the type of event that would unleash the full wrath of one of the most venomous agencies in the Federal government on a private American citizen or corporation. But given that they have the power to not prosecute themselves, they’ve found a legal maneuver to arrange exactly that. Rules, regulations and requirements that the rest of us have to abide by are for others. {truthrevolt.org} ~ It is not in the least surprising that the PLO-controlled Palestinian Authority did not condemn the terrorist attack on Sunday. It is not surprising because the PLO-controlled PA encouraged the attack.
As Khaled Abu Toameh wrote for the Gatestone Institute, in the aftermath of last month’s US-enabled passage of UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which criminalizes Israel, the PA went on the warpath.
Among other things, Muhammad Abu Shtayyeh, who serves as a close adviser to PLO chief and PA leader Mahmoud Abbas called for an intensification of terrorist attacks against Israelis. Shtayyeh said that now is the time to “bolster the popular resistance” against Israel.
As Abu Toameh noted, “‘Popular resistance’ is code for throwing stones and petrol bombs and carrying out stabbing and car-ramming attacks against Israelis.”
Sunday’s terrorist murderer probably was inspired by Islamic State, and its adherents’ recent truck ramming murder sprees in Nice and Berlin, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

Trump’s plan will have “serious implications” for the US, Abbas told a group of visiting Israeli leftists.
PLO Executive Committee chairman Saeb Erekat said that if Trump moves the US embassy to Israel’s capital, the PLO will lobby Arab states to expel the US ambassadors from their capitals.
Jebl Mukaber, the Jerusalem neighborhood where Sunday’s terrorist lived, used to be just an Arab neighborhood in Jerusalem. It wasn’t particularly friendly.
But it also wasn’t particularly hostile.
But then for about five minutes in 1993, the PLO pretended it wasn’t a terrorist group. To the delight of the US, Israel responded by giving it operational bases in Gaza, Judea and Samaria. In keeping with this state of affairs, following 2334’s passage, at the same time its members called for intensifying terrorist attacks against Israel, the PLO Executive Committee decided to escalate its international economic boycott campaign against Israel and ratchet up its campaign to convince the International Criminal Court to convict Israelis of imaginary war crimes.
Like Sunday’s terrorist attack in Jerusalem, it ought to go without saying that these actions are all acts of war against Israel.
The reason it is necessary to state what ought to be the self-evident fact that the PLO is a terrorist organization engaged in a total war against Israel and the Jewish People is because the people that are supposed to act on this reality insist on denying it. The Netanyahu government, the US Congress and US Jewish organizations led by AIPAC still refuse admit the truth about the PLO and draw the necessary conclusions.
Those necessary conclusions are similarly self-evident.

Rather, the congressional resolution rejects 2334 because it harms the chance of Israel and the PLO reaching a negotiated peace that will lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Resolution 11 is marginally helpful because it rejects economic and political warfare against Israel. But substantively, in regard to the PLO and its legitimacy, the greatest difference between Resolution 11 and 2334 is that while 2334 embraces the PLO’s anti-Jewish rejection of all Jewish ties to Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, Resolution 11 recognizes Israel’s right to the Western Wall and the Jewish Quarter.
Beyond Jerusalem’s Old City, Congress’s resolution accepts the pro-PLO position that it is a good idea to work toward the forcible expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Jews from their homes in Judea and Samaria to make room for a Jew-free Palestinian state led by PLO terrorists.
To credit its position, the House resolution states that 2334’s refusal to distinguish between Jerusalem’s Old City and Judea and Samaria means it equates “these sites with outposts in the West Bank that the Israeli government has deemed illegal.”
The problem with this wording is that it ignores the fact that the Knesset is about to pass a law that would effectively cancel that delineation. Similarly, it ignores that the delineation of Israeli communities built since 2000 in Judea and Samaria as illegal was done by a radical Justice Ministry attorney who now heads the post-Zionist New Israel Fund.
In other words, Congress’s resolution reflects the view of the far-left fringes of the Israeli political spectrum.
Supported by Netanyahu, AIPAC shepherded this resolution through the House, despite harsh opposition from the House Freedom Caucus whose members wish to end US support for the PLO and for a PLO state.
Although AIPAC condemned the liar-nObama administration’s refusal to veto 2334, it continues to fervently support the PLO and Palestinian statehood. Indeed, just days after 2334 passed, AIPAC officials and missions were meeting with Erekat and other PLO operatives in Ramallah, as if there is anything pro-Israel about meeting with people who just got the Security Council to resolve that Israel is a criminal state.
AIPAC’s continued support for the PLO no doubt stems in part from its desire to keep the Democratic Party inside the pro-Israel tent. Unfortunately, that ship seems to have sailed.
Nearly 40% of House Democrats including minority leader Nancy Pulosi and assistant leader Jim Clyburn voted against the PLO state supporting resolution.
Rep. Keith Ellison, who is the front-runner to be elected Democratic National Committee chairman later this month, also voted no. Two thirds of the 95 Democrats supported by J Street opposed the resolution.
Most of the Democrats that supported Resolution 11 may well have supported it even if it had left out the goal of giving the PLO a state. It cannot be credibly argued that Reps. Elliot Engel and Steny Hoyer would have opposed Resolution 11 if it had simply stated that 2334 was antisemitic.
Certainly it is hard to argue they would have opposed it if the vote was delayed until January 21. Indeed, it is hard to understand why it was necessary to pass the resolution while President Barack liar-nObama – who partnered with the PLO to pass 2334 – is still in office.
Resolution 2334’s passage must be viewed as an inflection point. It is no longer possible to credibly argue that the PLO is remotely interested in peace with Israel. Sunday’s murderous terrorist attack Jerusalem was further testament of this truth.
The time has come for Israelis and Israel’s supporters in the US to demand that our leaders – from Prime Minister Netanyahu to AIPAC to members of Congress – finally recognize and act of this truth. The whitewashing of the PLO must end.
As Khaled Abu Toameh wrote for the Gatestone Institute, in the aftermath of last month’s US-enabled passage of UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which criminalizes Israel, the PA went on the warpath.

While the establishment media and some elected officials are sounding the alarm about supposed Russian interference in the U.S. election, experts say a more dangerous foreign meddler is being ignored – American “ally” Saudi Arabia.
Along with fellow Muslim states Kuwait and Qatar, Saudi Arabia is accused of being behind a “long-running strategy to exert influence” through supposed Islamic charitable networks.
Philip Haney, author of “See Something, Say Nothing” and a former Department of Homeland Security analyst who tracked Islamic radicalism, says the report is no surprise.
“Along with the West, Saudi Arabia emphatically insists that it does not support terrorism, yet has supported Hamas for several years, along with the Taliban,” he told WND. “Since the West considers both Hamas and the Taliban to be terrorist organizations, while Saudi Arabia continues to support them, we must first acknowledge that the West’s understanding of what constitutes an ‘ally’ is fundamentally different than Saudi Arabia’s understanding.”
Haney said Western leaders are slowly beginning to understand Saudi Arabia is a potential threat to democratic values because of conflicts in Syria and Yemen. However, Haney said the media is not acting as a proper watchdog in calling out Saudi interference.
“For several decades, the mainstream media has been hesitant to honestly address many of the threats we face here in the West,” Haney said. “Specifically, the evidence of Saudi influence isn’t really hard to find, but the media has abrogated its founding purpose, which is to investigate and report the truth, no matter what part of the political spectrum it may be in.
“If America (and the West) intends to remain allied with Saudi Arabia, we need to redefine our relationship by re-emphasizing our own national interests, while refusing to compromise our values – gained at a great cost – and also by becoming more energy independent. Then, and only then we may actually be able to develop a healthy, reliable alliance with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
Pamela Geller, the internationally renowned anti-terrorist activist and the author of “Stop the Islamization of America,” also said energy independence is a critical step for the West and the United States to take. However, she denied any possibility Saudi Arabia could be considered an ally.
“It is using the West for its own advantage, and for the advantage of Islam,” she said. “Saudi influence is more extensive than any of us realize. Numerous former diplomatic personnel stationed in Saudi Arabia become lobbyists for the Saudis. They are bought. And the Saudis have spent billions to spread the Wahhabi ideology around the world.”
Geller suggested Saudi influence should be feared more than supposed Russian influence, as “the Saudis are actively working to destabilize the world, the Russians are not.”
Indeed, Geller urged the West to “break all ties” with the Saudi regime.
G.M. Davis, a Ph.D. from Stanford University and the author of “House of War: Islam’s Jihad Against the World,” argues the new report from German intelligence is simply a confirmation of what most educated observers already know: Saudi Arabia is “the leading government sponsor of Islamic terrorism in the West and around the world.”
“Since at least the late 1970s with the jihadist campaign against the Soviets in Afghanistan, the Saudi government and top-ranking individuals have pursued a policy of exporting jihad to the non-Muslim world as a means of spreading Wahhabist influence abroad as well as keeping a lid on violence at home,” he explained. “Saudi Arabia is a totalitarian Sharia state, utterly devoid of basic freedoms, in which homosexuals are beheaded, adulterers stoned, women routinely beaten in public, and children indoctrinated with a virulent hatred for Christians and Jews. That Saudi Arabia is still considered an ally of the West only testifies to the state of confusion in Western policy and the West’s own complicity in jihadist activity.”
Davis said the United States has often served as a partner of the Saudi regime in spreading militant Islamism.
“Starting with the jihad in Afghanistan against the Soviets begun during the tenure of President Carter, every U.S. administration has supported jihad in some form against a non-Muslim or relatively secular power,” Davis said. “Reagan in Afghanistan, Bush and Clinton in Yugoslavia and Bosnia, Bush II in Iraq and Kosovo, Obama in Libya, Syria, and elsewhere. The unhappy fact is that the West, led by the U.S., has been happy to support jihad abroad in order to pursue its geopolitical ambitions, many of which are directed against a revitalized Russia. But it has proven extremely difficult to get the jihadist genie back in the bottle. It was the same Saudi jihadists that the U.S. helped get into Bosnia in the 1990s who later, with fresh Bosnian passports, set up shop in Germany and plotted 9/11.”
Davis contrasted the media-promoted “conspiracy theories” about Russia with the “almost total neglect of Saudi Arabia in the mainstream media as the leading culprit behind Islamic terrorist activity in Syria and the orthodox Islamic program more generally in Europe and around the world.”
“Saudi Arabia continues to shelter behind the fact that it is the world’s marginal oil producer, the only oil exporter capable of significantly increasing production if it desired,” Davis explained. “Furthermore, thanks to its prodigious oil revenues, it has both major U.S. political parties and the neoconservative/neoliberal foreign policy establishment in its back pocket: the cozy relationship between the Saudis and the Bushes, for example, is legendary, while we have learned a great deal from the leaked Clinton/DNC/Podesta emails about the closeness of the Saudis and the obnoxious Clinton Foundation.”
Rather than seeking confrontation with Russia, Davis urged the new Trump administration to seek cooperation with Putin’s government to cut off the Saudi leadership from Western capital. He also urged sanctions on the Saudi regime and developing sources of energy and trade relationships which would cut the Saudis out of the market. Most importantly, Davis urged Westerners not to be fooled about the reality of their so-called ally in the Persian Gulf.
“The two pillars that keep the Saudi polity alive are brutality and oil,” Davis intoned. “Few more self-serving, repressive, dangerous, and downright villainous governments exist on the face of the earth.”

It’s one of the greatest mysteries of the Bible, unsolved for millennia. It’s the longest prophecy of the New Testament. And as an increasing number say they believe the end times have arrived, many believers think it is the malevolent force behind the headlines.
What exactly is “Mystery Babylon?” And what do the references to harlots and abominations mean?
The Bible describes a great city that corrupts the world. Portrayed as a woman, it is simultaneously presented as a queen clothed in precious garments and as a filthy prostitute, drunk on the blood of God’s people. The city is eventually destroyed by divine vengeance, and its “luxury and splendor” is removed forever.
Throughout history, Christians have investigated, speculated about and fiercely debated the identity of this city of evil. Rome, home of the Roman Catholic Church, is often identified as a prime candidate. Jerusalem, which supposedly will accept the Antichrist, is another possibility. But Bible teacher Joel Richardson, the New York Times bestselling author of “The Islamic Antichrist” and the host of the video teaching series “The Coming Battle for Jerusalem,” may have finally solved the mystery.
In his new book “Mystery Babylon: Unlocking the Bible’s Greatest Prophetic Mystery,” he makes his case for the identity of the city of evil.
It’s the city billions of people prostrate themselves before five times every single day – the Islamic city of Mecca.
Richardson makes an exhaustive and tightly reasoned argument, recognizing his answer may be surprising to many Christians.
“Perhaps the most common error people make when studying the Bible is to read their own worldview, experiences and culture into the pages of Scripture,” Richardson told WND. “This is particularly true with regard to biblical prophecy. Your average Western Christian is surrounded by humanism, intellectual atheism, moral and cultural relativity and religious pluralism. When he or she reads the book of Revelation and reads of this great persecuting system at the end of the age, they will automatically imagine it to be some sort of humanist multicultural monstrosity that goes after Christians. In other words, we are far too often egocentric in our reading of the prophets. Proper understanding of the Scriptures must recognize how thoroughly centered it is around Israel and Jerusalem, not the Western world, and most definitely not around the United States.”
Once these blinders are removed, Richardson says the real threat is obvious.

While supposed Russian interference dominates headlines, it is the Saudi government that has been implicated in bankrolling extremist terrorist movements around the world. Because of Saudi Arabia’s significance in contemporary geopolitics, Richardson believes his book is important for anyone interested in current events, not just those who want to explore his scriptural theory.
“Even if one rejects the interpretation suggested in the book, it is filled with information that is highly relevant to everyone,” he told WND. “One issue I address is the degree to which the House of Saud has compromised and corrupted Washington for the past few generations. In fact, as I demonstrate quite thoroughly, the Saudi lobby is far and away the single most significant lobby in Washington. Nothing else compares to the amount of money that poured into Washington to buy influence, politicians, and even presidents. This corruption is not limited to one political party, but has infected both parties, making the Saudi influence over Washington perhaps the single least discussed, most taboo subject that one can imagine.”
Richardson urges Christians to awaken to the nefarious Saudi power that is directing a war against Christianity around the world.

Many Christians have high hopes for incoming president Donald Trump, especially that he’ll change the anti-Christian direction of much of American foreign policy. However, Richardson urges caution, noting Trump has extensive investments in Saudi Arabia.
“With Donald Trump as president, the future is far more opaque than if Hillary Clinton had won,” Richardson opines. “She would have been far more predictable, toeing the line of those whose investment – well over $30 million since Bill left office – was reaching its maturity. With Trump however, it could go either way. With such strong military and national security advisers, there is the chance that America may do what is right – wean ourselves from Said oil dependency and break the stronghold they have over our nation. On the other hand, Trump has business investments in Saudi Arabia, and it’s possible that we may not be willing to make the hard decisions necessary. Time will tell.
“Regardless, it is clear that the multi-headed monster the Saudis have created is only continuing to expand its reach all over the earth. While the stronghold of the Islamic State may be broken up, other Saudi inspired and funded Salafi or Wahhabi groups will only continue to spread all over the earth.”

"Peace" was flushed down the toilet when the radically leftist organizers created the violent and destructive "Occupy Wall Street" (OWS) movement. But, that didn't have the effect that the demcrat-machine intended. So they decided to get ever MORE violent w/ the creation of the cop-killing "Black Lives Matter" (BLM) movement that lead up to the 2016 cycle. Maing the acts of voter-intimidation, voter-obstruction, and racially driven death threats by the Black Panthers, back during the 2008 Presidential Election cycle, in Philadelphia. Btw, Obama's USAG, Eric Holder, fired the investigator as soon as he got the appointment - dispite HARD EVIDENCE to the charges.
It appears that the democrat-machine has cooked-up yet another way to attack the up and coming rPesidential Inauguration of PE Trump. It's been reported that at least 47 democrats will NOT be present at the Inauuration occurring this Friday, on January 20th. No republicans committed such an act in 20009 or 2013. The COUNTRY came FIRST! So much for "tolerance", "fairness", and "Accepting the outcome" of the election. The Story Behind That Trump Dossier
Donald Trump held a press conference Wednesday in which he blasted BuzzFeed and CNN — the former for its release of and the latter for its subsequent irresponsible reporting on a highly dubious and unsubstantiated 35-page dossier that suggested, among other things, a Trump-Russian collusion. The controversial dossier was generated by a private investigation firm hired by opponents of Trump's presidential campaign and had been shared with the FBI and all major news media organizations months ago. But no news outlet could corroborate it and thus deemed it not fit for dissemination. Until BuzzFeed took a break from LOLcats to "report" it, anyway.
Last week, both Barack liar-nObama and Trump were briefed by the intelligence community, and Trump was made aware of the existence of this apparently fallacious dossier. But that's where things get fuzzy. At some point, news was leaked that the FBI had referenced this dossier in its intel report. That information seemed to trigger BuzzFeed, in what was most likely a craven effort at self-promotion, to run a story releasing some of the controversial dossier. CNN then piggy-backed off BuzzFeed's release and ran its own story referencing the dossier in an attack piece designed to further the Leftmedia's effort to delegitimize Trump.
Big picture: The idea that nations like China and Russia don't have secret information on America's government leaders is simply naïve. You can bet that U.S. intelligence has all kinds of classified information on Vladimir Putin and Xi Jingping, as well. Remember the rather embarrassing story of the U.S. having bugged German Chancellor Angela Merkel's phone? It was only embarrassing because it became public that the U.S. was spying on an ally, but this is what intelligence agencies do.
With the Internet, the world of espionage has changed — primarily because there's now an easy means of disseminating damaging information on a massive scale. With the existence of organizations like WikiLeaks, various government and non-government actors can release classified intel to the public and yet maintain anonymity. That's why a healthy amount of skepticism and diligent fact checking must be applied by any news media organization, as there is often more going on than what meets the eye. This is precisely what CNN and BuzzFeed did not do. Out of pure Trump Derangement Syndrome, they wanted the dossier to be true, and, in the process of spreading it, forgot that a journalist's aim is to inform, not to influence. ~The Patriot Post

Rubio Grills Tillerson on Russia
Senate hearings to confirm (or reject) Rex Tillerson as secretary of state began Wednesday, and, as predicted, there were fireworks over Tillerson's relationship with Vladimir Putin. As we warned from the outset, Tillerson's biggest negative is his close ties to Putin — he received Russia's Order of Friendship in 2013. These ties are especially problematic given the Kremlin's interference in the U.S. election and the Leftmedia's incessant work to paint Donald Trump as Putin's stooge. Should Tillerson be confirmed, everything he does will be reported through that prism. That's if he's confirmed...
To dispel those concerns, Tillerson testified that Moscow is a "danger" to the U.S. "We must also be clear-eyed about our relationship with Russia," Tillerson said. "Russia today poses a danger, but it is not unpredictable in advancing its own interests. ... [O]ur NATO allies are right to be alarmed at a resurgent Russia." He also harshly criticized Russia for its annexation of Crimea in 2014, as well as the liar-nObama's administration's "weak response."
But that didn't stop Sen. Marco Rubio from grilling Tillerson on whether he'd go so far as to call Putin a "war criminal" given public record reports of atrocities committed by the Russian military in Aleppo. "I would not use that term," Tillerson answered. Asking such questions now is critical to establishing whether Tillerson is trustworthy when it comes to becoming the nation's top diplomat or whether he's unwilling to take a clear stand or, worse, defending his friend, Putin.
To be sure, Rubio's question was somewhat of the "gotcha" variety, so Tillerson was arguably wise to avoid going further without having access to more detailed classified information. "I would want to be fully informed before advising the president," he said. He can't take office having accused Putin of war crimes during his hearing. At the same time, Tillerson came off not so much as cautious as unprepared, and he explicitly rejected Rubio's premise. Such questions should have been expected, and "I need more information" isn't a strong response.
This exchange and Tillerson's other shortcomings notwithstanding, U.S. diplomacy could use a serious shot in the arm after eight years of John hanoi-Kerry and liar-Hillary Clinton, and we continue to believe Tillerson brings a lot to the table. To use young people’s slang these days, you’re “lit,” media progressives. But not in a good way.
On Tuesday, just before the confirmation hearing for Attorney General nominee and Alabama GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions kicked off, an MTV News reporter demonstrated his high and mighty commitment to racial tolerance … by mocking Sen. Sessions’ half-Asian granddaughter. Sessions’ daughter, Ruth, is married to Asian-American John Walk. They have four girls.
Upon spotting Sessions with one of his multiracial granddaughters sitting on his lap as he waited for the proceedings to begin, MTV News “culture writer” Ira Madison III tweeted a photo of them and snarked:
“Sessions, sir, kindly return this Asian baby to the Toys ‘R’ Us you stole her from.”
So much for liberals celebrating diversity. So much for Michelle loiar-nObama’s rallying cry to the left that “our motto is, when they go low, we go high.”
Madison sneered that Sessions’ granddaughter was a “prop” and that there was “no reason for that child to be in his lap in a hearing other than to send an ‘I’m not racist message.'” Even after being informed that the beautiful little girl was Sessions’ biological grandchild, Madison continued to attack — accusing conservative critics of having “long used Asian-Americans as ‘model minorities’ since the rise of the Civil Rights Act.” He further justified his bigotry by accusing Sen. Sessions of “horrendous anti-black behavior” and snidely dismissed the senator’s “love for an Asian family member.”
What better way to send an “I’m not racist message” than to double down on the revolting dehumanization of the family members of one’s political opponents?
MTV News, which touts itself as the “conversation authority for the millennial audience,” has become the Sideshow Bob of the internet. Like the hapless character in “The Simpsons” cartoon series who can’t stop stepping on rakes and smashing in his face, this supposed “music” network keeps veering into the social justice lane — and causing bloody self-harm. Fun fact: Bigot Ira Madison, who purports to protest bigotry by practicing it, pens a column called “Delete Your Account,” poking fun at social media blunders by public figures.
Before Christmas, the same MTV News division that employs Madison aired a sanctimonious video titled “2017 Resolutions for White Guys.” Reeking of extremist identity politics, a parade of smarmy millennials lectures every last white man on the planet to “try to recognize that America was never great for anyone who wasn’t a white guy.” While assailing “mansplaining,” the cast proceeds to MTVsplain that “Black Lives Matter isn’t the opposite of All Lives Matter. (…) Also, Blue Lives Matter isn’t a thing.”
Swamped by mockery on both sides of the aisle, MTV deleted the condescending video, but apparently not the condescending attitude.
We’ve seen it before in cable TV news. Former MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry indulged in holier-than-thou anti-racism racism when she openly mocked Mitt Romney’s black adopted grandson in 2013 and laughed with other MSNBC commentators at a sweet holiday photo of the devout Mormon’s large family.
And MSNBC was forced to apologize again in 2014 after conservative multiracial parents, including me, battled the network’s vile racism slurring “rightwing” Americans as intolerant of biracial families featured in a Cheerios ad.
Responding to those of us who refused to tolerate their prejudice disguised as tolerance, MSNBC commentator Richard Wolffe insisted at the time: “That’s not who we are.”
We see you for exactly who you are: Flaming hypocrites who can’t help themselves. Stay lit!

Sandbagging Trump With 'Dirt'
The story of Russian hacking of Democrat email systems has now added yet another chapter with the latest claims of Moscow having obtained dirt on Donald Trump as well. Last week, both Barack liar-nObama and Trump were briefed by the intelligence community with a classified report that included unsubstantiated allegations that Russian intelligence had obtained compromising material on both liar-Hillary Clinton and Trump. The narrative now being developed by the Leftmedia is that this "kompromat" — a Russian espionage term for blackmail material — could be used to coerce whoever occupies the White House, namely Trump.
Perpetuating the story, CNN reported that Trump's campaign had apparently colluded with Russia based upon an unsubstantiated dossier. This was followed by BuzzFeed releasing the dubious 35-page dossier, which it claimed contained the damning information on the Russian-Trump relationship. Russia denied the allegations, stating that the report was an "absolute fabrication" designed to damage U.S.-Russian relations. And Trump tweeted last night, "FAKE NEWS — A TOTAL POLITICAL WITCH HUNT!"
So what's going on here? Well, it's clear that the Democrats would like nothing more than to delegitimize Trump for their own political gain. It also aids Democrats in their quest to sink Rex Tillerson's secretary of state confirmation due to his business ties with Russia. And like Pavlovian dogs, the mainstream media has responded to the call from the Left to attack Trump, hence the unsubstantiated allegations now being passed off as legitimate journalism.
In the end, what may be most troubling is the manner in which U.S. intelligence agencies have handled these highly political allegations. Leaked information about unsubstantiated allegations to the media from unnamed sources within the intelligence community smells like a dangerous politicization of government agencies. Those agencies, for the sake of the public's trust and the nation's security, need to maintain an uncompromising standard of commitment to abstaining from any form of political pandering. ~The Patriot Post

A New Era of Small Business Optimism
The frustration that has disincentivized entrepreneurs is finally fading away. Citing statistics gathered by the National Federation of Independent Business, Bloomberg reports, "Optimism among America's small businesses soared in December by the most since 1980 as expectations about the economy's prospects improved dramatically in the aftermath of the presidential election." NFIB president Juanita Duggan believes that "[s]mall business is ready for a breakout, and that can only mean very good things for the U.S. economy. Business owners are feeling better about taking risks and making investments."
That's what eight years of socialist economic policies will do. It would be premature to assume job creation will experience eye-popping gains under Donald Trump. But what we can surmise with a high degree of certainty is that it can't be any worse than the last eight years. Creating a company is risky in any environment, but over the last few decades entrepreneurs were accustomed to having a decent shot at starting and growing a competitive business. That changed under Barack liar-nObama — not only has starting a business been next to impossible, but industries as a whole have suffered. What's needed is less regulation. That's a principle career politicians like Bernie Sanders fundamentally don't understand.
For example, this week the Socialist senator was challenged by a small business owner who explained, "We keep getting kicked in the teeth by this administration. It's regulation after regulation and tax after tax." He then asked, "Why is this administration so against the business owner?" According to Sanders, "I don't think this administration, the liar-nObama administration you're referring to, is so against the business."
He then launched into a diatribe against wealthy businessmen and corporations, whose supposedly lenient tax rates are really what stifle economic growth, along with a defense of onerous regulations on things like air and water that have nothing to do with the actual business of most companies. The small business owner put it best when he shot back, "You haven't lived until you've put a payroll on your credit card. This is the reality of the backbone of this country." Let's hope the optimism of Trump's presidency ushers in an era of new risk-takers who understand this distinction and learn from it. ~The Patriot Post

The gap in support of Israel between political parties is now the widest in Pew Research history... However when you look at the sympathy by political party (self-identified), 74% of Republicans sympathize more than Israel while only a third of Democrats feel the same way. And the truth is, it was. At least in relation to his policies toward the Muslim world, liar-nObama told us precisely what he intended to do and then he did it.
A mere week remains of liar-nObama’s tenure in office.
But liar-nObama remains intent on carrying on as if he will never leave power. He has pledged to continue to implement his goals for the next week and then to serve as the most outspoken ex-president in US history.
In all of liar-nObama’s recent appearances, his message is one of vindication. I came. I succeeded. I will continue to succeed. I represent the good people, the people of tomorrow. My opponents represent the Manichean, backward past. We will fight them forever and we will prevail.
Tuesday liar-nObama gave his final interview to the Israeli media to Ilana Dayan from Channel 2’s Uvda news magazine. Dayan usually tries to come off as an intellectual. On Tuesday’s show, she cast aside professionalism however, and succumbed to her inner teenybopper. Among her other questions, she asked liar-nObama the secret to his preternatural ability to touch people’s souls.
The only significant exchange in their conversation came when Dayan asked liar-nObama about the speech he gave on June 4, 2009, in Cairo. Does he still stand by all the things he said in that speech? Would he give that speech again today, given all that has since happened in the region, she asked.
Absolutely, liar-nObama responded.
The speech, he insisted was “aspirational” rather than programmatic. And the aspirations that he expressed in that address were correct.
If Dayan had been able to put aside her hero worship for a moment, she would have stopped liar-nObama right then and there. His claim was preposterous.
But, given her decision to expose herself as a slobbering groupie, Dayan let it slide.
To salvage the good name of the journalism, and more important, to understand liar-nObama’s actual record and its consequences, it is critical however to return to that speech.
liar-nObama’s speech at Cairo University was the most important speech of his presidency. In it he laid out both his “aspirational” vision of relations between the West and the Islamic world and his plans for implementing his vision. The fundamentally transformed world he will leave President-elect Donald Trump to contend with next Friday was transformed on the basis of that speech.
liar-nObama’s address that day at Cairo University lasted for nearly an hour. In the first half he set out his framework for understanding the nature of the US’s relations with the Muslim world and the relationship between the Western world and Islam more generally. He also expressed his vision for how that relationship should change.
The US-led West he explained had sinned against the Muslim world through colonialism and racism.
It needed to make amends for its past and make Muslims feel comfortable and respected, particularly female Muslims, covered from head to toe.
As for the Muslims, well, September 11 was wrong but didn’t reflect the truth of Islam, which is extraordinary. liar-nObama thrice praised “the Holy Koran.” He quoted it admiringly. He waxed poetic in his appreciation for all the great contributions Islamic civilization has made to the world – he even made up a few. And he insisted falsely that Islam has always been a significant part of the American experience.
In his dichotomy between two human paths – the West’s and Islam’s – although he faulted the records of both, liar-nObama judged the US and the West more harshly than Islam.
In the second half of his address, liar-nObama detailed his plans for changing the West’s relations with Islam in a manner that reflected the true natures of both.
In hindsight, it is clear that during the seven and a half years of his presidency that followed that speech, all of liar-nObama’s actions involved implementing the policy blueprint he laid out in Cairo.

liar-nObama promised to withdraw US forces from Iraq regardless of the consequences. And he did.
He promised he would keep US forces in Afghanistan but gave them no clear mission other than being nice to everyone and giving Afghans a lot of money. And those have been his orders ever since.
Then he turned his attention to Israel and the Palestinians. liar-nObama opened this section by presenting his ideological framework for understanding the conflict. Israel he insisted was not established out of respect of the Jews’ national rights to their historic homeland. It was established as a consolation prize to the Jews after the Holocaust.
That is, Israel is a product of European colonialism, just as Iran and Hamas claim.
In contrast, the Palestinians are the indigenous people of the land. They have been the primary victims of the colonial West’s post-Holocaust guilty conscience. Their suffering is real and legitimate.
Hamas’s opposition to Israel is legitimate, he indicated. Through omission, liar-nObama made clear that he has no ideological problem with Hamas – only with its chosen means of achieving its goal.
Rather than fire missiles at Israel, he said, Hamas should learn from its fellow victims of white European colonialist racists in South Africa, in India, and among the African-American community.
Like them Hamas should use nonviolent means to achieve its just aims.
liar-nObama’s decision attack Israel at the UN Security Council last month, his attempts to force Israel to accept Hamas’s cease-fire demands during Operation Protective Edge in 2014, his consistent demand that Israel renounce Jewish civil and property rights in united Jerusalem, in Judea and Samaria, his current refusal to rule out the possibility of enabling another anti-Israel resolution to pass at the Security Council next week, and his contempt for the Israeli Right all are explained, envisioned and justified explicitly or implicitly in his Cairo speech.
One of the more notable but less discussed aspects of liar-nObama’s assertion that the Palestinians are in the right and Israel is in the wrong in the speech, was his embrace of Hamas. liar-nObama made no mention of the PLO or the Palestinian Authority or Fatah in his speech. He mentioned only Hamas – the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, which shares the Brotherhood’s commitment to annihilating Israel and wiping out the Jewish people worldwide.
Sitting in the audience that day in Cairo were members of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.
Then-Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak rightly viewed liar-nObama’s insistence that the brothers be invited to his address as a hostile act. Due to this assessment, Mubarak boycotted the speech and refused to greet liar-nObama at the Cairo airport.

Thanks to liar-nObama, the Iranian regime survived the Green Revolution. Due to his policies, Iran is both the master of its nuclear fate and the rising regional hegemon.
Together with its Russian partners, whose return to regional power after a 30-year absence liar-nObama enabled, Iran has overseen the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Sunnis in Syria and paved the way for the refugee crisis that threatens the future of the European Union.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s Islamist leader, was a principle beneficiary of liar-nObama’s admiration of Islamism. Erdogan rode liar-nObama’s wave to destroy the last vestiges of the secular Turkish Republic.
Now he is poised to leave NATO in favor of an alliance with Russia.
