FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police have expanded their aircraft fleet at no upfront costs to the state.
The former U.S. Air Force jet was acquired through a military surplus program.
State Justice and Public Safety Secretary J. Michael Brown said Wednesday that the state will incur some costs to convert the plane from military to commercial use.
But the plane, valued at $1 million, was acquired through a program that allows law enforcement agencies to obtain surplus military weapons, vehicles and aircraft at no cost.
The Justice and Public Safety Cabinet says the plane will be used by state police to respond to situations that require specialized teams to be moved into place quickly, such as a hostage negotiation team

There is one problem with central governmental planning…IT DOESN’T WORK. For all those that extoll its efficiency, the merits of uniformitarian, and that only a central body of elite politicians know what is best for the rest of the country, you need look no further than the Olympics in Sochi to understand that you are incorrect. Remember, Sochi is supposed to be an example of the best Russia has to offer to the world. If this is their best, I’m hesitant to see their worst:
Though the pictures are finite, the message they show is endless. Central governmental planning is a failure. Only through free enterprise do people work their hardest and compete with one another to produce the best product or service. You think the above pictured hotel would have ever survived in a capitalistic society? Of course not. It would have went out of business shortly after its opening.
The more our government stifles free business, makes it more difficult to run a business and takes away our incentives to grow a business, the quicker our country will begin to look more and more like Russia. Don’t fool yourselves. The more rules and regulations the government makes, the more civil liberties it takes, and the more involved it becomes in your lives, the quicker our country heads further towards economic collapse.
I’m no anarchist, but I do warn, just like our forefathers, a limited government is the best government. We’ve forgotten what they taught us. Unfortunately, if we continue to go down the path we are headed, it may be too late to restore the country to how it was intended to be.
Electromagnetic Pulse Weapons: Congress Must Understand the Risk

Congress should not let the Obama Administration ignore the commission’s findings. Instead, it should mandate an updated assessment of which countries may be pursuing EMP weapons and associated delivery systems and platforms. Further, Congress should demand that the Administration develop, test, and ultimately field defenses against EMP attacks, including improved ballistic missile defenses capable of countering short-range ballistic missiles that can carry EMP warheads.
What Is EMP?
EMP is triggered by the detonation of a nuclear weapon at a high altitude over the earth. As a result of this detonation, an electromagnetic field radiates down to the earth, creating electrical currents.
These fields cause widespread damage to electrical systems—the lifeblood of a modern society like the U.S. In turn, the damaged electronic systems can cause a cascade of failures throughout the broader infrastructure, including banking systems, energy systems, transportation systems, food production and delivery systems, water systems, emergency services, and—perhaps most damaging—cyberspace.
Effectively, the U.S. would be thrown back to the pre-industrial age following a widespread EMP attack.
What Congress Should Do
The lack of public awareness regarding the disturbing implications of an EMP attack may prompt the Obama Administration to set aside proposals for addressing this problem. Congress should not let this happen. Specifically, Congress should take the following three steps:
Step No. 1: Require the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to Produce a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) Describing Which Countries Are Capable of Launching an EMP Strike. The NIE should review not only the weapons systems themselves but the delivery systems and platforms capable of carrying the weapons. Additionally, Congress should obtain from the NIE the intelligence community’s assessment of how EMP-capable countries are incorporating those weapons into their broader military strategies.
The latter assessment would permit the President and his advisors to determine how the U.S. could respond to EMP threats as they arise. Such planning is an essential part of providing an effective defense against these threats.
Step No. 2: Press the Obama Administration to Prepare to Protect the Nation’s Cyber Infrastructure Against the Effects of EMP. Congress should direct the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security to manage this effort, which should incorporate the recommendations of the commissions. For instance, the commission has determined that preparedness measures must account for the fact that the cyber infrastructure is quite dependent on the power grid. Thus, contingency planning must explore ways to keep the cyber system functioning without primary power.
Further, it recommends identifying the most critical elements of the cyber system that must survive an EMP attack. Finally, the commission recommends that preparedness planning account for the interdependency between the nation’s cyber infrastructure and other elements of the broader infrastructure. Overall, the key to preparing to counter the effects of EMP is to put barriers in place to prevent cascading failures in the nation’s infrastructure.
Step No. 3: Require the Navy to Develop a Test Program for Sea-Based Interceptors with the Capability to Intercept and Destroy Ballistic Missiles Carrying EMP Weapons Prior to Detonation. It is clear that ballistic missiles offer an ideal delivery system for an EMP weapon. For instance, an enemy of America could launch a short-range missile carrying an EMP weapon from a cargo ship off the U.S. coast. Clearly, the terminal-phase ballistic missile defense systems currently in the field or entering the field, such as the Patriot system and the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, will not reliably intercept such ballistic missiles prior to the detonation of an EMP warhead. The Standard Missile-3 Block IA (SM-3 Block IA), as a midcourse defense system, may be able to do so.
What the U.S. really needs to address this threat, however, is a version of the SM-3 that will intercept these kinds of missiles in the boost or ascent phase of flight. The Independent Working Group has recommended developing and fielding what it calls an “East Coast Missile Defense” to address this emerging threat.[3]
Accordingly, Congress should require the Navy to demonstrate the capability to produce new versions of the SM-3 interceptor that are capable of destroying a short-range missile in the boost or ascent phase of flight, prior to its reaching the preferred detonation points for an EMP warhead. This will require that Congress also provide the Navy with the funds necessary to undertake this test program.
If it chooses to do so, Congress could also direct the Air Force to undertake a companion program that would permit operational use of the Airborne Laser system to defend against an attack from a short-range missile.
A Very Real Threat
The concept of an EMP strike may be seen by the public as abstract, but the devastating consequences would be very real for the victims. Congress should not let the Obama Administration ignore this menace.
Defensive options for addressing future EMP attacks are not beyond America’s capacity. Pursuing these options starts with updating intelligence on EMP capabilities and emerging threats; it ends with putting specific defensive systems in place, such as a modified version of the Navy’s sea-based ballistic missile defense interceptors capable of intercepting and destroying short-range ballistic missile EMP delivery systems.

Let's face it, a blog on the Tea Party website is not really the best way to change the hearts and minds of the population of El Paso. If you're able to read it off the website, you don't need your mind to be put right. You already realize the situation involves not only dealing with the liberals but also clearing out all the bogus Republicans from all the leadership roles within the Republican Party. A purge of the RINOs in office should not be the end game of the TEA, it must extend into the offices and staff of these ex-senators and representatives.
I maintain that at this moment there is an uncounted almost fifth-column-like cadre of individuals who are subverting anyone who is elected to national office. Constantly applying subtle pressure to newly elected senators and representatives, these staff employees are also reading the political winds and trying to position themselves (and maybe their client) in such a way that their jobs remain secure. If this helps the elected client stay in office; great. If not; they'll start anew with the next one.
These individuals are referred to as the "Webe's", ie. We were here when you came, and we'll be here when you leave. Any newly elected senator and representative should be REQUIRED to terminate any of the old office staff who do not resign their jobs. Just as the heads of Cabinet positions resign on the election of a new President, this should be practiced at the staff level in the senator's and representatives' offices.
There are so many tasks which need to be accomplished in restoring our country's government to sanity, it is almost too much to even attempt but attempt we must. If we leave the election up to others and focus on supplying the governing and executive protocols to be practiced by our members who are elected. We will be able to demonstrate an enlightened and efficient legislator to the voters which maybe more attractive than the same old methods.
Ah, another Black History Month, or should I say Annual Bash America Month. Every year the usual suspects (Democrats and liberal media) use the month to promote hate via false narratives such as young black men are routinely hunted by whites; Conservatives and Republicans hate a commercial that features a biracial couple, and so on. You know the drill. America sucks, is eternally racist and victimizes blacks.
The left’s solution: More government freebies and special concessions for blacks, higher taxes and a stronger determination to eradicate income inequality. In other words, like MLK Day, Black History Month is simply another opportunity to exploit race to further the left's socialist/progressive agenda.
I offer a bizarre concept. Why not celebrate BHM by featuring extraordinary blacks and their contributions? For example: In 1872 Henry Brown amazingly escaped slavery by mailing himself to freedom in a box.
In the 1980s, Pillsbury Company appointed successful black business executive Herman Cain to be chairman and CEO of Godfather Pizza. Cain become the CEO of the National Restaurant Association.
Herman Cain is a black conservative which by definition means he disagrees with Obama's agenda. This disqualifies Cain, a great role model for black youths, from being featured in a Black History Month PSA.
A black entrepreneurial magazine featured Obama on its cover as a champion of black empowerment. I thought, “Are these people delusional?” Obama's presidency has devastated entrepreneurs, especially blacks. And yet, the black publishers chose to make race trump the truth.
Race. Race. Race. Folks, my head is flooded with thoughts on this highly emotional issue which causes rational people to behave irrationally. Emotionally enslaved to racial loyalty, Christian family and friends either ignored or twisted the Bible to support Obama, despite his anti-Christian agenda; same sex marriage, abortion, banning God from the public square and forcing Christians to betray their faith.
Void of reality, BET featured a show touting the Obama's strong Christian faith.
Race is such an emotional issue. In a restaurant, a white waitress gave a chilly reply to my cheerful, “Good morning”. I know intelligent blacks, burdened with a black chip on their shoulders. They would have automatically assumed the waitress's coldness was racially motivated. Later, white friends commented about the same waitress. “She waited on us yesterday. Man, was she cold.” Apparently, the waitress spread her unfriendly vibe indiscriminately.
For all intensive purposes, the GOP has surrendered its principles, values and the country to Obama due to racial intimidation. Remarkably, despite Obama's unprecedented lies and scandals, race still prevents honest media coverage of his Administration.
Race is the Democrats and media's most potent weapon to silence opposition to Obama's war on the Constitution. I am a Tea Party activist. The left promotes the evil, divisive and irresponsible lie that my white Tea Party brothers and sisters call me a n***** behind my back.
Strong arguments exist on both sides about whether or not we should have Black History Month.
Racism will remain among the sins of humanity. But for the most part, you get what you give. Kindness and respect usually mirrors itself. Decent well-intentioned people find ways of working out their differences. I realize that this truth is too simplistic and individual-empowering for government social engineers, multicultural professors and race exploiters.
I pray for a day without PC police and race-exploiters; a day when Americans are allowed to interact like the crew of the star-ship Enterprise in the 60's Star Trek TV show; various races living together without race being an issue.

Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke eloquently and forcefully about an America where black people were forced to endure a shameful condition. Well, black people can look no further than the White House to find a man who has been perpetrating a fraud and a shameful condition against black Americans for five years.
Most every black family and most likely every young black child who lived anywhere in America had to be celebrating the day that Barack Obama took the oath of office as the first person of color to occupy the White House as president. Now a half decade later, those same black families and same black adults and teens have seen their incomes, life savings and job opportunities spiraling downward like an avalanche.
Five years into the Barack Obama’s presidency, the number of African-Americans participating in the labor force has hit rock bottom and now threatens to even go through the basement floor, according to the U.S. Labor Department. Consider the direness of the situation. In January, exactly a year after Obama began his second term of office, “the drop in labor force participation was sharpest for African Americans, who saw a decline of 0.3 percentage points to 60.2 percent, the lowest rate since December of 1977,” according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Those are statistics which would have sent Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton and legions of NAACP marchers heading for Washington to demonstrate against the occupant of the White House. Instead, these same certified hypocritical black leaders of the Afro-American community have given Obama a “Stay out of Impeachment Hall Pass.”
This is more than frightening when one considers that each and every black pastor that prays over the body of a young black teen that was caught in the cross-fire of black-on-black crime should now be speaking out about Obama. Where is the hue and cry this month of black celebration from these men and women of the cloth, who know that these kids and their families need jobs and opportunities and not bullets and funerals?
But, yet the halls of worship are as silent as the ideas that are emanating from the Oval Office for remedying the problems that weigh as anchors around the necks of dispossessed black families in America.
We all know that things are more than a little out of hand. I do not think anyone has an idea of how much money this president has thrown down the hole that is our national debt. We simply do not know how much his entitlement programs will cost
Presidents Jefferson and Regan lamented the fact that the united states is not required to have a balanced budget. Regan also wanted a line item veto to remove pork that has been added to a necessary bill. These are things we need If we ever want to control the spending of this monster in Washington.
I think that while we work to change the leadership in Washington we can also work to give future presidents the tools they need to get this debt under control.
It is my hope in proposing this that we will soon have enough members in congress to get it passed. I also believe that we can get 38 states to stand with us. We can probably get 31 now and as the current president's policies and programs and gross negligence become obvious, It will not difficult to see where this present monstrosity that is the national debt is headed.
I think we should start with line item veto. We can probably get that one now if we can get it through congress especially sense a simple majority is all that would be required to overturn it. The killer is that they have to stand up in front of their fellow members of congress and defend their pork.

GOP Speaker John Boehner, GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, GOPAC President David Avella, Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue, Karl Rove, and many others associated with our GOP leadership appears to be leaning on ‘fiscal’ issues and deserting the GOP ‘social’ principals as clearly defined in our Republican Party Platform.
First, for the first time in Republican Party history, our GOP leaders’ ‘chosen ones’ are taking their own liberties to take RNC monies and redirect these resources to support their own choice ‘RINO’ Republicans and defeat Conservative TEA Party Republicans in Primary Elections; something Republican Party’s leadership officials have never done before without a justifiable reason. GOP leaders are forcing their own opinions the same as many of us have charged Labor Union leaders in cramming their own political opinions down their own paying members throats.
Do not allow Republicans In Name Only (RINO) Republican leaders to convince you of their own ‘falsified’ information as some are suggesting they are changing their direction. ‘RINO’ Republicans are still fighting to defeat Conservative TEA Party Republicans in primaries NOW; while at the same time they are splintering the Conservative base of the Republican Party.
Secondly, these same individuals in our GOP leadership have decided to join President Obama, Sen. Harry Reid, Rep. Nance Pelosi, and other leading Democrats to support ‘illegal’ immigration, and maybe leading to ‘Amnesty’.
How much more debt can Americans stand for and be responsible? Are Capitol Hill Republicans willing to stand tall and admit they are directly responsible for additional deficit spending for the added cost of ‘illegal’ immigration legislation? They must admit this legislation will increase unemployment; not to mention more government outlay for food, housing, Health Care, education, etc.
Right now, we have some 20 Million ‘illegal’ immigrants in our great nation with most receiving Government assistance; more than 14 times of ‘illegal’ immigrants in the USA than the entire US Military all around the world.
Thirdly, you can ‘betcha’ that GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House John Boehner will join in and support of President Obama, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, other Capitol Hill ‘Liberal’ Democrats, and RINO Republicans to raise our liability and extend even more obligation to the $17+ Trillion of National Debt; all to be left for our children and their children to pay.
Forth, since the 9/11/2012 attack leaving 4 Americans dead in Benghazi, Libya, Speaker Boehner has been stalling the House investigation. It was in this, somewhat time-frame, when John Boehner seemed to change. Could it be that Speaker Boehner was drinking too much of President Obama’s government paid ‘wine’ and spoke unprofessionally, agreed on an anti-American issue, or acted otherwise illegal and/or immoral while visiting with President Obama in the White House and being recorded on audio and/or video?
In Summary, our GOP leaders across the board in Washington, DC have changed. If current Capitol Hill Republicans ‘lack the integrity’ to ‘stop-the-deficit-spending’, who will and when will it start? I am depending on Conservative TEA Party Republicans to accomplish the necessary actions to ‘stop-the-spending’ and restore our ‘social issues’ and our ‘freedoms’ in saving our precious nation, if it is not too late.

Wow, it’s apparent that the Obama “savior” and his DEMS are once again looking out for their fellow Americans. In fact, they’ve been worrying about Mr. and Mrs. or Ms. American working full time, so they came up with a solution for 2.3 million Americans.
These geniuses decided that Mr. & Mrs. or Ms. American should get a reprieve and be demoted from full time work to part time status or it might be best if they even lost their jobs. In fact they’re even spinning their propaganda today calling it a choice just for you – I call it a Saul Alinsky move preparing you for the next dump into the entitlement bucket.
So in the scheme of things 2.3 productive Americans are now going to being placed under the watchful, caring arms of “Big Daddy” Government. In order for these Americans to receive the Obamacare albatross, they will either go to part time employment or no employment – this doesn’t sound like a fair shake, but who’s allowed to question big Government. Obama & the DEMS are much smarter than 2.3 million Americans – their message today is just shut your mouths and enjoy all the free time that’s headed your way.
Not to worry though Mr. and Mrs. America, if you lose your job you can draw unemployment until it runs out and you can get your cut of the food stamps. Now, if you are demoted to part time employment that is where it might get a notch “sticky.” Less hours = more free time + less income, but not to worry – you will be a recipient of Obamacare that is if you can afford it even with subsidies some will take a hit.
But on the bright side – you may be able to spend your day at home with the kids, surfing the Net and TV growing plump on junk food from your new allotment of food stamps. Just think, Obama and the DEMS selected you as the new kids on the block who now have more choices, more free time and less money and healthcare that has high deductibles and co-pays. In reality what they have done to 2.3 million Americans is a travesty.
Obama and Democrats have once again attacked our fellow Americans. They’ve snatched the American Dream from them just like they did when they took our primary care physicians, our insurers and hospitals from over 5 million Americans last fall.
It takes a “hell” of a lot of nerve for the Democrats to get on National TV and spin the yarn that they’re looking out for us and giving us more choices. Wrong, they’re destroying us and taking our freedoms and rights away.
If these 2.3 million Americans were given a real choice does anyone think they would walk away from a full time job that was paying their expenses, putting food on the table and clothes on their children’s backs in exchange for a broken down non- functional healthcare package?
Here we go again America, if you like your job and weekly paycheck “you probably can’t keep it.”

Good morning America – what’s the definition for those who ignore our Constitution, distribute our wealth, control our healthcare, spy on Americans, put our youth in harm’s way and use violent act to achieve a political goal. Words that come to mind are dictator, terrorist, traitor and Socialist or Communist.
The political climate in our White House is hot, tepid and pollutants are in the dangerous zone. There’s no signs of this political drought leaving in the near future, in fact the hot air coming from our White House indicates that our Government is reeking with corruption, false ideologies, propaganda, double dealing and criminal misconduct.
Wake up America – we no longer live in the land of the free. Our Country has been confiscated by a perverted group of people who have plans already formulated to bring our beautiful America to its knees. We are not in control – we’re being controlled.
We have A Commander in Chief who without a doubt is the most corrupt evil leader in our history. In five years he has taken over businesses large and small controlling them and inhibiting their growth. This person has stolen billions of taxpayer’s money via lies, propaganda, misrepresentation and abuse of our Federal laws.
There aren’t just a few red flags, there’s land mines intentionally and deliberately placed to destroy our rights, our freedoms and our Country. His strategy to destroy our Nation is based on one principle – take power from the “Haves” and give it to the “Havenots.” In order to implement his strategy Obama utilizes what most of us know as “redistribution” always disguised under the pretense of a moral necessity to care for the “havenots.”
Good morning America – are we there yet? "President Obama's anti-poverty efforts are basically to give more people more free stuff," Robert Rector, a specialist on welfare and poverty at the conservative Heritage Foundation, told The Washington Times.
As he hands out the free stuff our National debt increases, our Nation becomes poorer, full time jobs disappear, dependency on the Government increases and we’re basically in “limbo.”
Barack Obama’s ultimate goals are listed below.

Control healthcare and you control the people
- Poverty
Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
- Debt
Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes and this will produce more poverty.
Here’s but a few examples of the power, deception and manipulation that this person some refer to as “Mr. President” has implemented in the past five years. 13 million more Americans have fallen into the Entitlement society since Obama took office. Over 15% of Americans are now in the poverty level and Obama is trying to strong arm States into increasing their Medicaid for the poor, which is paving the way for the millions of illegal aliens who are on our turf.
Americans are one “notch” away from a single payer healthcare system – Obama has already taken over our healthcare via Affordable Care Act. It’s not a matter of when – it’s happened. His Obamacare has had a devastating effect on businesses, private citizens, children, senior citizens and our medical field.
Debt is close to being unsustainable and it’s obvious that Obama still has our credit card in his hip pocket. The House of Representatives either don’t care or are incapable of controlling our purse.
The CBO, just yesterday shared some crucial information with us – Obama in a blink of an eye has just added 2.3 million more to the “Havenot” society. The “Havenots” will be Obama’s army because they are owned totally by the Government.

As of February 4, IRS Reg-134417-13 ruling received 21,547 comments. The IRS will take comments until February 27, 2014.
Twenty-one thousand comments is a pitiful showing. Evidently most Americans don't know what this ruling proposes.
The IRS Reg-134417-13 ruling forbids non-profits to hold voter registration drives, advertise, promote and engage in activities regarding any political incumbent or candidate. It forbids political fund-raisers, prohibits any kind of political activity including rallies, political mailings, teas, Meet & Greets, forums and gatherings that deal with political issues. It forbids a non-profit to support or oppose, discuss or question those seeking political office. It forbids the gathering of signatures on petitions with political content of any kind, including nominating petitions and any comment pro or con on House and Senate bills.
By extension, it would be applicable at every level of government and to support or opposition to any kind of legislation whatsoever.
There is little to no difference between a 501c(3) and a 501c(4). Applied to one, you can bet the ruling will soon be applied to the other.
But make no mistake, no matter what your political point of view this ruling is not about non-profits. It's about the freedom to state and communicate publicly your ideas and preferences -- i.e., your values.
This ruling constitutes a danger to far more of us than the membership of non-profits. It is not a simple violation of the First Amendment. It is a proposal to do away with the First Amendment entirely and in effect institutionalize censorship.
No issue is as threatening to freedom as censorship. The muzzling of the electorate is the means of forbidding government participation.
You say, "But the ruling is aimed only at non-profits!" Is it?
Currently, churches are prohibited from discussing politics from the pulpit. Businesses and banks refuse to allow any material on their premises that involves a political issue. Many members of business and military organizations are frightened to speak out on political matters for fear of reprisal. The IRS has already deliberately delayed applications for non-profit status to those organizations that politicians and bureaucrats look upon with a jaundiced eye. Scores of charitable organizations will also be muzzled by this ruling.
Much of our information about political activities and events is word of mouth. What happens when talking about politics is illegal?
The IRS Reg-134417-13 ruling is an unconscionable attack on our right to discuss, agree or disagree about political matters.
If you doubt the scope and fundamental danger of this IRS ruling, consider the following: A government that has the legal authority to forbid what citizens may or may not talk about, is a government that has the legal authority to shackle your mind, which means your ideas. That kind of shackling is a thousand times more paralyzing than chains on your body. It stops thought, ambition, happiness, love, caring.
