On February 1, the Des Moines Register informed its readers why it decided not to release the final installment of the CNN/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll, indicating where the Democrat presidential candidates stood heading into Monday’s first-in-the-nation primary (caucus) vote. According to the paper, “A candidate’s name was omitted in at least one interview in which the respondent was asked to name their preferred candidate.” And despite the fact that it appeared to be a single instance, the paper decided not to publish the same poll it has conducted and published for 76 years “out of an abundance of caution.”

Perhaps. Or perhaps, as a tweet by reporter/conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich indicated, commie-Bernie Sanders finished first and loose lips liar-Joe Biden finished last. For the less conspiratorial, political analysis website FiveThirtyEight’s final poll on February 3 had loose lips liar-Biden in second place, but commie-Sanders still maintained the top spot.

After Monday night, none of it was supposed to matter because the Iowa caucuses would remove all doubt as to which candidate the voters preferred.

Except that they didn’t. Although denied by party officials, a disastrous new smartphone app created for caucus organizers by Shadow, a tech firm run by veterans of scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, failed to properly tally the votes. The chaos continued into  Wednesday evening. While results remained officially unfinished, three things became clear: loose lips liar-Biden’s media-anointed status as the frontrunner is a sham, commie-Sanders remains a potent force, and a Democrat Party that wants to run the country is composed of embarrassing incompetents bedazzled by dubious technology.

Regardless, that’s two coincidences. Yet for commie-Sanders supporters, two other developments also seemed destined to undercut their candidate. One is the reality that the DNC has changed the debate rules — candidates no longer need to meet a minimum number of donations to appear on the debate stage in Nevada on February 19. This paves the way for the appearance of billionaire Mike Bloomberg, who is not soliciting any campaign donations. Again, it is undoubtedly sheer coincidence that Bloomberg is the only Democrat candidate who has personally donated money to the DNC, to the tune of $300,000.

Two, commie-Sanders supporters believe House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi’s delay in sending articles of impeachment to the Senate was designed to keep commie-Sanders off the campaign trail, while loose lips liar-Biden remained unimpeded by the subsequent trial. This particular manipulation was seen as a reprise of the DNC’s effort to undermine commie-Sanders in favor of scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Democrats are facing a “damned if they do, damned if they don’t” conundrum. If commie-Sanders wins the nomination, the man who honeymooned in the Soviet Union, praised Fidel Castro’s revolution in Cuba and the Sandinista revolution in Nicaragua, and advocates for free college, free healthcare (even for illegal aliens), a moratorium on deportations, and just about every other big-government, redistributionist, national-debt-exploding scheme imaginable would likely get crushed in the general election.

On the other hand, if commie-Bernie loses the nomination and his supporters believe it’s due to DNC malfeasance or subterfuge, they will likely stay home, or possibly vote third party, also enabling Trump to prevail.

A brokered convention? According to Politico, a handful of Democrat insiders have “discussed the possibility of a policy reversal to ensure that so-called superdelegates can vote on the first ballot at the party’s national convention.” This is viewed as a way to “potentially weaken commie-Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and head off a brokered convention.”

In 2016, superdelegates were allowed to vote on the first ballot, and they overwhelmingly sided with scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton. The rule was changed to placate the party’s increasingly leftist members, who viewed it as an integral part of the effort to sandbag commie-Sanders. His supporters would undoubtedly be enraged by any reversal of the reversal.

Yet if a brokered convention occurs and a possibly front-running Sanders is still sandbagged by party insiders? At the 1968 Democrat Convention, there was rioting in the streets outside the International Amphitheatre in Chicago. This time there might be rioting on the convention floor itself at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, especially when one considers some of the revealed comments made by a commie-Sanders campaign operative. “If commie-Bernie doesn’t get the nomination or if it goes to a second round at the DNC convention, f—ing Milwaukee will burn,” said campaign staffer Kyle Jurek. “It’ll start in Milwaukee. And when the police push back on that, other cities will just explode.”

As for commie-Sanders himself, The Washington Post  reports that, if elected, he would issue a series of executive orders “he could unilaterally enact.” They include a halt of border-wall construction, a reversal of Trump’s immigration policy, the reinstatement of the scumbag/liar-nObama administration policy granting legal status to illegal aliens, declaring climate change a national emergency (and thus halting the exportation of oil), and the cancellation of federal contracts for businesses paying workers less than $15 an hour.

For Democrats who don’t “feel the Bern,” such policies are untenable. “Democratic donors and party insiders are warning that large swaths of their voters could stay home — or even defect to Trump — if Vermont Sen. commie-Bernie Sanders snags the nomination,” the New York Post reports. Michael Kempner, a longtime Democrat donor who has given money to loose lips liar-Biden and Pete Buttigieg, sees the proverbial writing on the wall. “For Democrats to win,” he warns, “the election must be a referendum on Trump and not a debate about socialism.”

By contrast, columnist Roger L. Simon believes that debate is exactly what America needs. “This wouldn’t be a so-called ‘uni-party’ election resulting in minor differences in the tax code, as it usually does,” he explains. “Trump versus Sanders would be capitalism versus socialism!”

Undoubtedly. Moreover, there is a searing irony attached to this ongoing debacle: A Democrat Party that has long cultivated an increasingly radical-leftist, power-consolidating agenda now has a genuinely radical-leftist candidate with the backing of equally radical supporters — but the party establishment is terrified.

Why? Because unlike other Democrats, commie-Sanders has upended the party tradition of obscuring its radicalism until after the election. In short, commie-Sanders won’t make phony centrist appeals that conflict with his agenda just to win votes. He is, as they say, “all in.”

The Democrat establishment? It will go all out to stop him. “Hell hath no fury like commie-Bernie’s millennials if they are thwarted,” warns columnist Miranda Devine.

Thwarted? Betrayed is the far more likely scenario. And it won’t be even slightly coincidental.   ~The Patriot Post

At approximately 2218 hours on Tuesday, 04 February 2020, I witnessed clear and indisputable evidence of Rep. liar-Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), liar-Speaker of the House, committing an act that I believe brazenly and feloniously violates federal law, specifically 18 U.S.C. 2071. In fact, her actions were witnessed by federal law-enforcement officials and she may have colluded with members of her political caucus who were also witness to this act, in premeditation for the commission of this offense. Please see this video evidence in support of this complaint that Rep. liar-Pelosi violated 18 U.S.C. 2071 and the Presidential Records Act of 1978.

For background:

President Donald Trump clearly outlined, prior to liar-Pelosi’s criminal actions, that the State of the Union is strong. The success of this administration deeply concerns Rep. liar-Pelosi and her U.S. Senate counterpart, Charles scumbag-Schumer (D-NY), leaders of the Democrat Party, because the success of the Trump administration on behalf of the American people threatens the liar-Pelosi/scumbag-Schumer political dynasty.

As evidence of her malicious intent, Rep. liar-Pelosi bookended the President’s speech with insults, deliberately omitting the traditional words of introduction, “Members of Congress, I have the high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the President of the United States,” and opting instead to state, “Members of Congress, the President of the United States.”

Once at the podium, President Trump personally delivered to Rep. liar-Pelosi the official signed State of the Union transcript as prepared for the Congress.

During the President’s remarks, Rep. liar-Pelosi scored cuts in the official transcript of the State of the Union, demonstrating premeditation in preparation for destroying it at the conclusion of the speech. After the President completed his remarks, Rep. liar-Pelosi committed an act that starkly demonstrated her cadre’s hatred of Mr. Trump and his grassroots American supporters, whom these partisans loathe.

Rep. liar-Pelosi took the official State of the Union transcript and, page-by-page, willfully mutilated and destroyed that document. Rep. liar-Pelosi maliciously obliterated what she called the “dirty” speech, later confessing: “I tore it up. I was trying to find one page with truth on it. I couldn’t.” Notably, Rep. liar-Pelosi also shredded the names of the great Americans listed on those pages, living and deceased, and the names of Americans in the gallery. In doing so, she libelously denigrated each of them personally by suggesting there was no truth to their life stories.

The actions of Rep. liar-Pelosi constitute a violation of 18 U.S.C. 2071, actions that were premeditated in collusion with co-conspirators within her caucus. The signed official State of the Union Address that Rep. liar-Pelosi destroyed was property of the United States of America. Rep. liar-Pelosi had no records-disposition order providing her with the specific authority to destroy that official government record.

Further, the White House media director confirmed, “The speech she ripped up was a one-of-a-kind record, signed by POTUS… It belonged to the American people, not to liar-Pelosi.” That assessment was affirmed by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). Thus, this official signed transcript of the State of the Union speech falls under the Presidential Records Act of 1978.

According to 18 U.S.C. 2071: “Whoever, having the custody of any such record … willfully and unlawfully … mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his or her office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”

Concurring with this assessment that Rep. liar-Pelosi violated 18 U.S.C. 2071, House Judiciary Committee member Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has filed an official complaint with the House Committee on Ethics, noting: “There is no question that Speaker liar-Pelosi ‘mutilated, obliterated, or destroyed’ the copy of the President’s address provided to her. The law does not allow the liar-Speaker of the House to destroy the records of the House…”

I respectfully request a prompt reply from the Department of Justice concerning this criminal complaint and the legality of Rep. liar-Pelosi’s actions, as well as of those who had prior knowledge of this criminal act.   ~The Patriot Post

Romney has served his country, including saving the 2002 Winter Olympics while working for free and serving a term as governor of Massachusetts, also forgoing his salary. He twice ran for president, which takes an enormous commitment of time and energy that, in Romney’s case at least, indicates a deep love for the country and a desire to make it better. The same can be said for Trump’s decision to run for the office. Had Romney won in 2008 or 2012, our nation would have been spared all or some of the woeful Barack scumbag/liar-nObama years.

As we noted in 2016, rino-Romney was right about Trump’s numerous flaws. (If President Trump’s personal life had been closer to rino-Romney’s, the GOP would potentially be in a much better position in the suburbs.) And rino-Romney has been correct about our departure from the principles of the Founders.

That said, despite grasping the problem, rino-Romney is a deeply flawed messenger who is unable to bring himself to do what needs to be done in order to get back to those principles — partly because he has been on both sides of every important issue. Trump, character flaws and his own flip-flopping notwithstanding, has been willing to fight the Left.

Arguably, rino-Romney’s “good guy” persona has rendered him unable to deal with the realities we currently face. In 2012, he was viciously attacked as a tax cheat by Harry dinky-Reid and accused of wanting to put African Americans back in chains by loose lips liar-Joe Biden. Had a fraction of the fire and energy rino-Romney aims at Trump been directed at dinky-Reid and loose lips liar-Biden in the 2012 election, rino-Romney would have won and rendered Trump unnecessary. Instead, he’s relegated to throwing barbs at Trump from the Senate, even if he does support the president’s agenda 80% of the time (more than several other Republicans).

While turning the other cheek may be good for the soul, in politics, it is unilateral disarmament.

rino-Romney’s vote to convict burned a lot of bridges and, in 2024, he will have to face the voters of Utah, who will render their verdict. He may well end up a one-term senator when he could have been a good president. That is the real tragedy.   ~The Patriot Post

Trump celebrated his acquittal and promised to further respond to “our Country’s VICTORY on the Impeachment Hoax!” by noon Thursday. It certainly is a big win for the president, for the Republican Party, and for the country. Once again, the wisdom of our Framers was poignantly displayed, as the Democrats’ politically motived gambit failed precisely because impeachment was never designed or intended to be used as a political tool by the opposing party to oust a duly elected president over purely partisan sentiments. As The Wall Street Journal notes, “Chalk up one more victory for the Framers of the Constitution, who realized the dangers of political factions and created the Senate to check them.”

Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi’s petulant action of tearing up her copy of Trump’s State of the Union Address perfectly matched the grossly partisan nature of the Democrats’ impeachment charade. Thus, in response to her declaration that Trump is “impeached for life,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy shared a video of himself declaring Trump “Acquitted for life” as he tears up a copy of the articles of impeachment.

Getting back to the vote, what may have come as a minor surprise was the fact that Joe Manchin (WV) and Doug Jones (AL), Democrat senators representing solidly pro-Trump states, voted to convict Trump. Then again, it’s really not surprising at all. In Jones’s case, his chance for winning reelection in 2020 in deep-red Alabama is so slim that no matter how he voted he’s unlikely to win — so why break with his party? He might as well be a loyal sailor and go down with the ship.

In Manchin’s case, the calculation was that of pragmatism. He’s not up for reelection until 2024, so that was hardly a pressing concern. The bigger factor was his standing within the party and the reality that if the Democrats win control of the Senate in November he doesn’t want to be on the wrong side of Chuck scumbag-Schumer for failing to hold the party line. In all likelihood, scumbag-Schumer also engaged in a little quid pro quo with Manchin to ensure his vote to convict. As we have previously noted, the Democrats’ primary aim with their impeachment gambit was not the removal of Trump but winning control of the Senate. scumbag-Schumer’s oft-repeated talking point is that Senate Republicans held an unfair impeachment trial. For that to have any appearance of credibility, he couldn’t have any Democrat defectors.

Finally, immediately following the Senate’s acquittal vote, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell got back to business by filing cloture on several judges. He continues the  unrelentingly effort to act on Trump’s agenda to fill the nation’s federal courts with solid constitutionally committed judges.

Alluding to the Steele dossier, the lawsuit states the defendants “used false information, misrepresentations and other misconduct to direct the power of the international intelligence apparatus and the media industry against [Page] to further their political agenda.” The suit further alleges, “Defendants leveraged these fabrications within the FBI and the United States Department of Justice, leading these agencies to present false applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (‘FISC’).” Yep, that all sounds about right.

Page’s attorneys stated that this initial suit is merely “the first of multiple actions in the wake of historic” Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuse and that it “is a first step to ensure that the full extent of the FISA abuse that has occurred during the last few years is exposed and remedied.” Page attorney John Pierce further explained, “Defendants and those they worked with inside the federal government did not and will not succeed in making America a surveillance state.” Pierce added, “This is only the first salvo. We will follow the evidence wherever it leads, no matter how high.”

Setting aside for a moment the question of whether Page has a hope-in-hell chance of succeeding in court against those infesting the very core of the deep state, we applaud this valiant attempt nonetheless. That said, the battle will most certainly be uphill. For instance, we recently reported about the appointment of former Obama-era Justice Department official David Kris to “clean up” these matters, by the FISC’s new presiding judge, James Boasberg. The Reader’s Digest version of that report: Kris is a feckless shill. As House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) summarized: “The FBI lied to the FISC, and to help make sure that doesn’t happen again, the FISC chose an FBI apologist who denied and defended those lies. The FISC is setting its own credibility on fire.”

To think this kind of thing is a fluke or happens rarely is to completely misapprehend the magnitude of the deep-state problem and threat. A more accurate picture derives from contemplating the chilling prospect that, but for Donald Trump’s wrench-in-the-gears upset of presidential-heir-apparent scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s enthronement, the most sophisticated intelligence and state law-enforcement agencies on the planet would still be arrayed against any and all enemies of the deep state. As it stands, although progress has been made, the war against the deep state is far from over and the winner — republican government or the deep state — has yet to be determined. And make no mistake: At-risk sleazy shadow-lurkers will pull out all the stops to ensure the truths behind their motives and acts never see the light of day in a court proceeding.

A bellwether in determining which side has the upper hand in this battle thus far is to observe whether Page’s suit reaches the “discovery” stage of proceedings, because it is this stage in which both sides are compelled to disclose a great deal of information in preparation for the trial. “Discoverable” information could include, for example, emails evidencing the DNC’s intent and acts regarding the Steele dossier, as well as a host of communications between the entities coordinating the conspiracy against Page and other targeted parties. In other words, the discovery stage is a powder keg waiting on a spark. Whether the keg’s fuse is lit or water is thrown on it will ultimately be determined by the relative strengths of the sides in this battle. Carville isn’t the only high-profile Democrat sounding the alarm. David Axelrod, former senior advisor to Barack scumbag/liar-nObama, bemoaned, “However bad the handling the count has been, the Iowa’s Democratic Party’s handling of the messaging around it has been an abject disaster. It should be taught in classrooms as an example of what not to do in a crisis.”

Then there’s the growing specter of election malfeasance, which will only further complicate the DNC’s future efforts of getting its base to coalesce around the party’s eventual nominee, let alone gin up voter enthusiasm.

Speaking of coalescing, the divide within the party between hard-left socialists and non-socialists has Carville even more concerned. “I mean, I’m 75 years old. Why am I here doing this? Because I am scared to death, that’s why,” he complained. It’s more than an image problem, Carville argues. “All the Sanders people were taking pictures wishing Jeremy Corbyn the best. … The press corps went AOC crazy. … We got to decide what we want to be. Do we want to be an ideological cult or do we want to have a majoritarian instinct to be a majority party? … The urban core is not going to get it done. What we need is power. You understand? That’s what this is about. Without power, you have nothing. You just have talking points.”

Back to Iowa, loose lips liar-Joe Biden may be in real trouble. It appears that he will have mustered only a fourth-place finish and is likely to see a repeat of that in New Hampshire. The clear frontrunners are now commie-Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg, though both candidates have significant issues garnering broad appeal. While commie-Sanders, with his pie-in-the-sky socialism, appeals to college youth, he struggles in attracting the 40-plus crowd (the segment that proves most faithful in voting). Buttigieg’s homosexual-minority status appeals to women, yet he glaringly lacks support among racial minorities. This may explain why Michael Bloomberg is now doubling his ad spending — he sees an opening to exploit.

Final observation: It looks like the Democrats’ impeachment gambit is blowing up in their faces. Thus far, impeachment has only succeeded in damaging loose lips liar-Biden and bolstering President Donald Trump. The latest Gallup poll has him at 49% — his highest approval rating since he took office. And it’s not just Trump who’s up; the Republican Party as a whole has seen its favorability rating rise to 51% from 43% in September. Meanwhile, just 45% of Americans have a favorable view of Democrats, which is down from 48% in September. With numbers like this it’s little wonder that Carville is “scared to death.”   ~The Patriot Post

America’s top talker shocked his audience yesterday with the announcement that he has been diagnosed with “advanced lung cancer.” Limbaugh said he has every intention of being on the air as often as he can, but will be absent from his show from time to time as he undergoes treatment.

Endless Impeachment?

After the Senate voted Friday afternoon to reject Democrat demands for additional witnesses, Sen. Chuck scumbag-Schumer and his progressive gang forced Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to drag out the impeachment debate so that a final vote won’t happen until Wednesday. 

The reason was obvious: Democrats wanted to force President Trump to deliver his State of the Union address with the cloud of impeachment still hanging over his head. 

I think Leader McConnell has handled the impeachment process about as well as he could have, and I doubt there was much more he could have done to stop scumbag-Schumer from delaying the final vote on the articles of impeachment. 

Yesterday, senators heard four hours of closing arguments from the House managers and the president’s defense lawyers. Now senators will begin delivering speeches explaining their positions, followed by final votes on the articles of impeachment late Wednesday afternoon. 

My prediction is that every Republican senator and as many as three Democrats will end up voting against impeachment. But as I wrote in Friday’s report, this won’t be the end of it. House progressives are vowing to press ahead with even more investigations of President Trump. 

By the way, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) warned that loose lips liar-Joe Biden, if he prevails this November, could be “immediately impeached” given the low bar set by House Democrats. 

Politics and the Super Bowl

Former New York City mayor and billionaire political activist Michael Bloomberg ran an ad during Sunday’s Super Bowl game highlighting his desire to limit Second Amendment rights. It’s worth noting that Bloomberg paid at least $10 million for that ad. That speaks volumes about Michael Bloomberg’s priorities!

But the ad was terribly deceptive. It featured the mother of George Kemp talking about her son, who was shot to death in 2013. The ad claimed that “2,900 children die every year from gun violence.” But George Kemp was not a “child.” He was 20 years old.

The only way to get to the 2,900 figure is to grossly inflate it by including young adults up to 19 years old. Sadly, most gun deaths in urban areas are often teenaged gang members killing each other. When you exclude adults, the number of annual deaths is cut in half.

The ad’s only useful purpose was to prove just how deceptive the left is willing to be. Progressives can’t make arguments without gross distortions because they have no confidence they can win an argument based on facts.

In contrast to Bloomberg’s deceptive ad about limiting our constitutional rights, President Trump’s campaign ran an ad in the first quarter of the game promoting criminal-justice reform featuring Alice Johnson. The powerful ad shows just how serious Trump is about competing for black votes.

Also proving he’s a good businessman who knows how to save money, the president ran a second ad just after the game officially concluded, so it cost significantly less. That ad touted America’s economic success under President Trump’s policies and promised that “the best is yet to come!”

Congratulations, Kansas City!

I’m glad the heartland Kansas City Chiefs won over the 49ers from whacked-out San Francisco. Sadly, one of the low points of the game occurred when Beyonce and Jay-Z refused to stand for the national anthem. 

I suppose I should take heart that they didn’t kneel. Instead, they just sat there in their seats. They and their entourage spent more for those seats than many Americans will make in a year. 

What a contrast between the disrespect Beyonce and Jay-Z displayed and Col. Charles McGee, a Tuskegee Airman who was honored at the Super Bowl. McGee “stood up” for our country in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. There’s the decline in America. 

McGee and other Tuskegee Airmen sacrificed for their country at a time when there was widespread discrimination and segregation. Thanks to their sacrifices, Beyonce and Jay-Z have more money than 99.9% of Americans, and yet they’re still complaining about America.

Christian Persecution in Nigeria

The persecution of Christians is getting significantly worse in Nigeria. At least 16 Christians were killed last month by militant Islamists. Among those killed was Pastor Lawan Andimi, who was beheaded by Boko Haram.

Archbishop Augustine Obiora Akubeze, the president of Nigeria’s Conference of Catholic Bishops, is urging western nations to take action because the Nigerian government is turning a blind eye to the Islamist atrocities.  

As many of you know, I was appointed by President Trump to serve on the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). At USCIRF’s urging, the Trump administration added Nigeria to its “Special Watch List” of religious-liberty violators in December. 

I assure you, my fellow commissioners and I will continue to do everything we can to expose the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. In the meantime, please pray for our Nigerian brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering for their faith.   ~The Patriot Post

Just because the Senate is about to acquit President Trump of charges Republicans believed never rose to the level of “high crimes and misdemeanors,” don’t think Democrats will raise the white flag of surrender. They (and their media allies) have only just begun.

Next is a campaign to defeat enough of the 23 Republican senators up for re-election and, if possible (it doesn’t look possible, but this is February), keep President Trump from winning re-election.

Democrats have virtually no issues on which to run, except the promise of free stuff — from Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren’s student loan forgiveness plan,which does nothing for those who struggled to pay off their student loans without assistance, to commie-Bernie Sanders’ free Medicare for All.

A new Gallup poll released last week shows how difficult it will be for Democrats.

According to Gallup, 41 percent of Americans “are satisfied with the way things are going in the U.S.” That’s the highest satisfaction level in 15 years. Seventy-two percent of Republicans are satisfied, a number likely to grow if the economy remains strong and there is stability in international affairs. Only 14 percent of Democrats are satisfied. That is likely, in part, because President Trump is racking up success after success without any cooperation from the other party. If Democrats had cooperated on at least some issues (other than the new trade agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico) they might have been able to legitimately claim some credit, but their opposition to all things Trump and their attempts to undo the results of the 2016 election leaves them out in the political cold.

What is most remarkable about this Gallup poll is that it was taken in the middle of the Senate impeachment trial and in the face of some of the most hostile media coverage any president has ever had to endure in modern times.

According to the conservative Media Research Center, which monitors the broadcast network’s evening news programs, “… evening news coverage of the opening arguments of both sides, found ABC, CBS, and NBC did not live up to the standard they demanded of Republicans. They gave Democrats double the airtime and showered their arguments with mostly praise, while expressing only criticism of the President’s legal team.”

The New York Times and Washington Post have cast aside any cloak of fairness by going anti-Trump nonstop. Their news coverage, editorials and virtually all of their columnists are constantly looking for new ways to express opposition to and hatred of the president. One advantage for readers is that it is easier to get through those papers because they have become predictable and tiresome.

Democrats may feel good about this as they keep company with their media fellow travelers, but President Trump is newly empowered to take his case for four more years of prosperity and relative peace to the public. Every Democrat running for president would raise taxes, giving more money to Washington, which cannot constrain its spending lust under either party. As taxes rise, so would unemployment because many businesses would no longer be able to afford workers they hired during the economic boom.

Look for more investigations — perhaps additional allegations and articles of impeachment — and more “leaks” from former Trump staffers between now and the election. The only way to stop this is for Republicans to regain a House majority and maintain their majority in the Senate.

Barring an unforeseeable disaster (always a possibility), Trump is positioned to win re-election, perhaps in a landslide, which will send the left and most of the media into another deep depression.

Nevertheless, acquittal is a foregone conclusion, as it has been since the House was still suffering through scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff’s bad acting. After insisting that their charade was both important and urgent, House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi delayed sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate for weeks, making plain to all but the blindest partisans that this was a farce from the beginning. Democrats failed to make their case that Trump’s behavior — poor and ill-advised though it was — did not rise to an impeachable offense, and they were thus never going to win enough Republican votes for conviction and removal.

In fact, while rino-Mitt Romney and rino-Susan Collins are the only Republicans reportedly considering conviction, three Democrats — Joe Manchin, Doug Jones, and Krysten Sinema — are all weighing acquittal. “Never before in the history of our republic has there been a purely partisan impeachment vote [against] a president,” Manchin said. “Removing this president at this time would not only further divide our deeply divided nation but also further poison our already toxic political atmosphere.” Manchin has instead pushed for censure.

It will be amusing if the only bipartisan side in the Senate, as with the House, is Trump’s.

Monday’s closing arguments didn’t move the needle one iota. Perhaps that’s because scumbag/liar-Schiff can’t help but be so over the top. “Trump could offer Alaska to the Russians in exchange for support in the next election,” scumbag/liar-Schiff warned, “or decide to move to Mar-a-Lago permanently and let [son-in-law] Jared Kushner run the country.” Again, we’d laugh if this weren’t so serious an abuse of power by congressional Democrats.

White House counsel Pat Cipollone reiterated, “At the end of the day, this is an effort to overturn the results of one election and to try to interfere in the coming election that begins [Monday] in Iowa.” And continues today in Iowa because Democrats bungled that, too.

After acquittal, Democrats promise to continue investigating, probing, and obstructing the president. “Hate Trump” is all they’ve got.

The official start to the Democrat presidential primaries couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start. The party claiming to know how best to lead the country into the future couldn’t even run its own first state caucus without things falling into disarray. After witnessing this disaster, who would trust these clowns with running a circus, let alone the country? Seeking to put the best spin on this embarrassment, Democrat Party leaders offered concerns over “quality control” and “an abundance of caution” as the excuse for delaying the results. Ironically, no matter who ends up being declared the winner, the DNC has effectively invited the very charge Chairman Tom Perez was seeking to fend off: accusations of a rigged system that erupted in 2016 after the DNC shenanigans favoring scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton over commie-Bernie Sanders came to light.

From what little information has been gleaned from precinct reporting, it appears that both commie-Sanders and Pete Buttigieg had strong showings, followed by Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren. It also appeared that support for loose lips liar-Joe Biden was weaker than expected, particularly notable given the time he had to campaign there while his rivals were stuck in a Senate impeachment trial. Could loose lips liar-Biden’s poor showing be the real reason for the delay? Perhaps the “quality control” is that commie-Sanders actually won and party officials are panicking.

The most telling statistic of the evening was the turnout. Around 172,000 Iowans showed up, which is nearly the same as the 2016 turnout and significantly less than the 2008 number of 240,000. It’s an ill omen for Democrats if voter enthusiasm isn’t as high as they need it to be to defeat Trump in November.

Meanwhile, the Republicans’ Iowa caucuses went off without a hitch. Trump easily won 97% of the vote, with the remaining 3% split between Bill Weld and Joe Walsh. Thus, as Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk quipped, “Donald Trump became the first president to win both the Democrat and Republican caucus.”   ~The Patriot Post

While the mainstream media have obsessed over impeachment, there are a few stories out there right now that just aren’t getting the coverage they deserve. Both involve China and our national security.

As I have noted before, FBI Director Christopher Wray  has identified China as America’s biggest counterintelligence threat. Wray described the Chinese threat as “deep and diverse and wide and vexing,” adding that there are at least 1,000 investigations involving China’s efforts to steal our economic and military secrets.

China’s intense espionage efforts are not new. They have been going on for years and really picked up speed  during the scumbag/liar-nObama era. 

This week, Professor Charles Lieber, chairman of Harvard University’s Chemistry Department, was arrested for lying to the Defense Department about his participation in China's Thousand Talents program.

For at least five years, Lieber, an expert in nanotechnology, was paid $50,000 a month and provided $150,000 a year for personal expenses by the Chinese. At the same time, he was directing research projects from the Department of Defense and the National Institutes of Health.

But wait… There’s more!

• Federal authorities also announced charges against Yanqing Ye, an officer in the Chinese military, who had been working at Boston University. 

• Last month, Zaosong Zheng was arrested at Boston’s Logan Airport attempting to smuggle vials of biological materials stolen from U.S. research labs. 

• And the state of Florida recently launched a major investigation after 10 university faculty members and other researchers were exposed as participants in China’s Thousand Talents program. 

As FBI Director Wray warned, China’s espionage efforts are “deep and diverse.” According to one estimate, there are at least 80 Confucius Institutes operating at colleges and universities around the country. Confucius Institutes have been more warmly received at American universities than conservative speakers!

These institutes are official organs of the Chinese Communist Party. But like much of U.S. policy toward China, the allure of easy money proved too tempting to resist, regardless of the strings attached. 

Thankfully, the Trump administration is cracking down, and more than 20 Confucius Institutes have closed in the past two years. But much more work clearly remains to be done.

The Wuhan Virus

We’ve seen all kinds of stories in recent days about the Wuhan virus — how fast is it spreading, its kill ratio, how many people are being quarantined, airlines canceling flights, etc. I even read a story about the potential for medicine shortages here due to global-supply-chain vulnerabilities.

Tuesday, I saw a map showing all the places where the U.S. has set up screening centers to check people coming into the country for evidence of the virus. Not surprisingly, most screening centers are at major international airports, but there are two at the El Paso and San Diego border ports of entry, also for obvious reasons.

What jumped out at me was everything else in between — you know, the vast open border area that Donald Trump has spent the last three years trying to secure. The same border that the left and its media allies have spent the last three years fighting to keep wide open and smearing Trump as a bigot for trying to secure. 

The spread of this deadly virus is proof of why the border must be secured. Is there even one “mainstream” journalist in America who thinks this is a story worth writing?

It wasn’t that long ago when our Border Patrol agents were overwhelmed with sick migrants, running more than 50 people a day to border-area hospitals.

We’re also seeing a surge of Chinese nationals illegally crossing the border. And now we have a mystery virus originating in China with a kill rate we have not yet determined. 

The president has done a lot to secure the border, but if progressive politicians, judges, and pundits had not been so desperate to resist President Trump (and common sense), much more would have been done by now. The risk of the Wuhan virus entering the country from the unsecured southern border could have been greatly diminished.

If liar-Nancy Pelosi, scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, and Chuck scumbag-Schumer had worked half as hard to help secure the country as they have to invalidate the votes of half the country, we’d all be a lot safer right now.

“Danger! Danger! Danger!”

Jay Sekulow, a member of the president’s defense team, reminded senators of something every American needs to understand: This hyper-partisan impeachment, based on anonymous allegations and differences of opinion, is a serious danger to our constitutional republic.

Within days of Donald Trump securing the GOP nomination, elements of our government that we entrust to keep us safe from terrorists and foreign spies diverted resources to get illegal wiretaps on the Trump campaign. They even set up sting operations to take down various campaign aides. 

Before Trump was sworn in, a well-financed campaign was launched to intimidate members of the Electoral College. The media gleefully reported that some electors were wavering but often failed to expose the intimidation taking place.

After Trump was inaugurated, Deep State operatives and their media allies launched the Russian-collusion hoax, which consumed the country for more than two years. 

A leading proponent of that hoax was Adam Schiff. He regularly appeared on Sunday talk shows and declared that the evidence that Russia and the president stole the election was “in plain sight.” He was lying the whole time, every time.

When that hoax fell apart, the left launched its sham impeachment — the biggest voter-suppression effort in the history of the country. liar-Pelosi, scumbag/liar-Schiff, and scumbag-Schumer are trying to suppress the votes of 63 million people who voted for Donald Trump in 2016, while depriving millions of us the right to vote for him again this November.

They know that their platform of abortion extremism, anti-religious liberty, and big-government socialism is unpopular. So they are putting the country through a scandalous election-year impeachment charade with the goal of removing Donald Trump from the ballot. 

If Vladimir Putin tried to come up with a plan to destroy a duly elected president and undermine the United States of America, he could not imagine anything better than what liar-Pelosi, scumbag/liar-Schiff, and scumbag-Schumer, along with their media and Deep State allies, have done over the last three years.

The Wildwood Wonder

We know the president’s policies are growing the economy. Well, in the last two days, Trump turned  Wildwood, New Jersey, into an enterprise zone of unexpected economic growth.

Wildwood is a beach community that depends heavily on summer tourism. When the temperatures fall and the days get shorter, much of the town shuts down. 

In the last two days, hotels and restaurants all over Wildwood reopened to accommodate the thousands of people who came to see the man many believe is the greatest president since Ronald Reagan. People began lining up more than a day in advance to attend Trump’s rally Tuesday night!

Remember in November

Remember scumbag/liar-nObama’s remark about “bitter clingers”? scumbag/liar-Hillary’s “basket of deplorables”? Apparently, the left still hasn’t learned how to hide its bigotry.

As I’m sure you know, CNN’s Don Lemon just couldn’t keep it together when a Never-Trumper and a liberal New York Times columnist started mocking conservative Trump voters.

It seems all but certain that the Senate will acquit President Trump on both articles of impeachment adopted by House Democrats. First, however, senators are expected to decide Friday whether they need additional witness testimony.

Trump’s opponents claim that unless witnesses are called, the entire impeachment trial will have been a sham. This is consistent with what they’ve argued all along: any process Democrats control is fair; any process Democrats don’t control is a cover-up.

In the Democratic-controlled House, for example, Democrats said it was fair to let Democrats on the Intelligence and Judiciary Committees issue subpoenas unilaterally, while requiring Republicans to get Democrats’ permission.

The Democrats also said it was fair for House Judiciary Committee Chairman scumbag liar-Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., to deny Trump’s side the chance to call or question witnesses in the House impeachment inquiry — unless Trump first agreed to make available all witnesses Nadler demanded.

Then there was the failed attempt by House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to hold the House impeachment articles hostage until the Senate promised to run Trump’s trial the way she wanted.

Now Democrats and their liberal allies are claiming that the trial cannot be fair and the truth simply cannot be found unless the Senate hears from certain witnesses who did not testify in the House.

Do you see a pattern here? The Democrats’ impeachment strategy is simple: heads Democrats win, tails Trump loses.

In deciding whether additional witnesses are necessary, senators should consider several factors.

First, senators already have a mountain of evidence to consider. They have, for example, the entire House impeachment record, totaling nearly 30,000 pages. Additionally, the two sides have filed hundreds of pages of trial briefs, memoranda and appendices.

For the last six days, senators have heard attorneys from both sides present their cases — repeatedly making the same claims in what some might consider rhetorical waterboarding. Those attorneys have also answered many questions from senators.

Second, everyone knows what the House impeachment managers are up to with their demand for witnesses. Additional witness testimony would be only the beginning — not the end — of their gambit.

If House Intelligence Committee Chairman scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and his team get to depose even one more witness, they would poke and probe every nook and cranny, looking to pry open anything that they can claim requires additional witnesses and documents.

The Democrats would demand to know every person the witness spoke to about these matters, and create inconsistencies where none exist to undermine the credibility of anyone who does not further the impeachment narrative.

Third, House Democrats have already declared that these witnesses were not necessary for their impeachment case. In the impeachment process, as in life, actions speak louder than words.

When the Trump administration prevented some House-subpoenaed witnesses from testifying, what did the House do?

If the House genuinely needed the testimony, the obvious next step would have been to seek enforcement of the subpoenas by a court. Not only did the House not do that — in one instance it did the exact opposite. When one individual asked a federal judge if he had to comply with a subpoena, the House withdrew it.

Finally, senators should remember that while an impeachment trial may resemble a criminal trial, it is profoundly different.

When it suits them, Trump’s opponents are quick to quote Alexander Hamilton from his observation that impeachable offenses violate “the public trust” and are “political.”

But now, with decisions about witnesses and other evidence to be made, the Democrats have flipped, arguing as if the Senate must obey the Federal Rules of Evidence. They claim that additional testimonial evidence must be considered and that the parties must be allowed to introduce any evidence that they claim is necessary for a fair trial.

The Democrats can’t have it both ways.

The Senate is not sitting as a committee of investigation, but as a court of impeachment. Its constitutional job is not to complete an investigation that the House now complains was incomplete due to its own rush to impeach the president.

The single task of senators is to determine if the House has proven its case and to decide whether they should remove the president from office now—or wait and let the American people make that decision when they vote in the November election.

Ours is not a parliamentary system, and impeachment cannot be used as a “no-confidence” vote to remove a president when members of Congress dislike him and his policies.

While America’s founders included the impeachment process in the Constitution, they opposed using it in a way that, as James Madison put it, would mandate that the president serve only at the pleasure of the Senate.

Senators should prevent that from happening now.   ~The Patriot Post
